The excitement in the air was palpable as Carina Deluca drove side by side with you through the busy streets of Seattle. Your eyes reflected your longing to finally visit the fire station. Until now, however, your big sister's and her girlfriends hectic work schedule had always ruined your plans. But today was different. Today Carina would introduce you to a world that you had only heard about through the lively stories of her girlfriend Maya. The fascinating world of the brave firefighters from Station 19.
"Ci stiamo avvicinando, Bella. Sono così felice che tu possa finalmente incontrare tutti." (We're getting closer, Bella. I'm so happy you can finally meet everyone) Carina said with a bright look of anticipation and placed her hand reassuringly on your thigh. "I feel your excitement, y/n. Once you cross the station's threshold, you will be a part of them," she assured you with a warm smile.
The car stopped around the corner and you entered the fire station grounds shortly after. An atmosphere immediately surrounded you, permeated by hustle and courage. But at the same time, you could also feel an air of excitement and determination surrounding the people. It was like being immersed in a whirlwind of commitment and solidarity as the dull drone of work filled the air. Everyone who was here exuded an aura of determination, ready to face the challenges of the day. It was a place where every moment mattered, a place that embodied the essence of heroism and solidarity.
As you passed through the wide open gates of the guardhouse, you were greeted by a young woman who was bustling around the area with a radio in her hand. The sight of her was impressive - her face bore the marks of hard work, but her charisma was incomparable. It was Andy Herrera, the charismatic leader of Station 19. Her eyes were full of light as she kept an eye on the action on the premises. Every step she took seemed like an expression of leadership, and yet there was an aura of calm about her that immediately instilled confidence in everyone who met her. It was clear that she was a natural leader, ready to face any obstacle with unwavering courage.
"Carina! It's great to see you," Andy greeted her with a bright smile. Then her eyes fell on you lingered there for a slightly longer time. "And who do we have here?"
"This is my sister, y/n. She was invited by Maya to get an insight into what we do here," Carina explained proudly. Andy nodded friendly and held out her hand to you, which you accepted gratefully. "It's very nice to meet you, y/n. Welcome to Station 19," she said with a warmth in her voice that immediately put you at ease and made you feel like you were in exactly the right place.
Her charm had an irresistible attraction for you. You had never met anyone like her before - someone so confident and yet so caring. As you looked into her warm brown eyes, you felt something awaken within you that you had never felt before. It was as if her charisma ignited a hidden longing within you that had previously been lying dormant inside you, unnoticed. Every small gesture, every word of hers seemed to touch you and awaken your senses as you let yourself be captivated by her charisma. It was a moment of realization that this encounter with her was taking your life on an unforeseen but exciting new path.
While Carina and Andy were engaged in animated conversation, you felt enchanted. Your eyes couldn't leave the Spanish woman, and you were sure she noticed. But instead of feeling uncomfortable, you found comfort in the knowledge that Andy was just as attracted to you as you were to her. It was as if there was an invisible connection between you that was revealed in every look and every smile. The atmosphere around you seemed to change, and you felt a special energy building between you that fascinated and filled you at the same time. It was a moment of magic where the world around you seemed to stand still as you lost yourself in the eyes of the mesmerizing woman in front of you.
When Carina finally suggested getting Maya to explore the fire station with her, the spanish woman immediately took the opportunity to get to know you better. "I'll be happy to walk you through everything we do here," she offered enthusiastically, taking a few steps forward to signal that you should follow her.
A wide smile crossed your lips as you decided to follow her. "That would be amazing. I'm really excited to find out more," you replied eagerly.
As you strolled through the fire station together, Carina couldn't help but smile as she searched for her girlfriend. She felt that this encounter with Andy had the potential to change your life forever. It was as if the threads of fate were weaving around you both, leading you down a path full of surprises and new experiences.

The days passed and you kept finding a reason to visit the fire station, supposedly to see your "sister". But deep in your heart you knew that your real reason was something else: you wanted to see Andy again, the fire lieutenant who made your heart beat faster.
Andy quickly noticed that you were showing up more often than would be typical for a normal visit for your sister. Still, she always greeted you with a bright smile and always found an excuse to spend time with you. And the more time you spent together, the stronger the hidden feelings that grew between you.
You found yourself around them more and more often, be it at lunch with the entire team or in discussions about operational plans. You enjoyed watching her lead her team, burning with compassion and passion for her work.
Andy also couldn't deny that she was attracted to you anymore. There was something about you - your liveliness, your enthusiasm for life - that she couldn't ignore. She increasingly found herself staring at you when you talked to Maya or helped Carina with the supplies, as if trying to capture every nuance of your being, and she longed for the moments when she could be alone with you.
But despite the growing attraction between you, neither of you dared to reveal your true feelings. She feared the possible consequences of a relationship between her and her best friend's sister in law. So she kept her feelings under wraps, even though she felt more alive than ever around you.
One day, when you visited the fire station again, you found a rare moment of privacy. Together you sat next to each other on a bench on the roof terrace, surrounded by the calming silence of the evening and the soft city lights glowing on the horizon.
“Y/n, there’s something I’ve wanted to share with you for a while,” she began hesitantly, weighing her words carefully. You looked at her intently, your heart starting to beat faster. Had Andy finally found the courage to reveal her feelings?
"I... I really appreciate our time together," she continued, her eyes searching yours. “You’re special, y/n, and I feel really lucky that you’re here.”
A hint of disappointment washed over you as you realized she wasn't saying what you had hoped. But at the same time, you also felt relieved that she valued your presence as much as you valued hers. "Thank you, Andy. That means a lot to me," you replied sincerely, a hesitant smile crossing your lips.
You sat next to each other in silence for a while, enveloped in the evening and the unsaid words between you. But despite the words that remained unspoken, you both knew that there was something special between you, something that you couldn't ignore even if you wanted to. The atmosphere was charged with a suppressed tension that your hearts felt even if your mouths didn't say it.
A blaring, loud siren from the reporting station suddenly pierced the silence, breaking you out of your quiet moment. Both were frightened and Andy jumped up as the shrill sound blared through the air. She quickly gave you a kiss on the cheek and in that gesture, she paused for a moment, shocked at her rash action. "I'm sorry... I have to go. I'll see you again soon, yeah?"
You nodded, feeling the heat in your blushing cheeks. You too were overwhelmed by the gesture, but you tried not to show your excitement. While she disappeared through the exit and you saw the fire trucks drive away shortly afterwards, you also made your way home, unaware that something unexpected would happen that you had never imagined.
While working in a burning building, Andy suddenly found herself in a dangerous situation. An unstable structure collapsed and falling debris struck her. The team was eventually able to rescue her and bring her outside, but it was obvious that she was injured and needed to be taken to the hospital.
Using blue lights and sirens, Andy was taken by Warren and Hughes to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, where doctors did everything they could to carefully examine her and make sure she had not suffered any serious injuries. Hours passed like years as they waited for news of her condition.
Finally, as the sun rose over the horizon, the good news came: Andy only suffered a concussion and a few bruised ribs. But the thought of what might have been if the injuries had been more serious made her shudder. She suddenly understood the preciousness of life and how quickly it could be over.
When Andy was finally released from the hospital, she didn't hesitate for a moment. After everything that had happened, she was determined to stop hiding her feelings. She knew she had to tell you how much she loved you before it was too late.
She made her way to your apartment, ignoring the pounding in her head and the doctor's orders to rest. Your heart was pounding as you opened the door and saw the tired, vulnerable look in her eyes. A stab of pain shot through your chest. "Andy, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I can't even imagine what it's like when you..." you started, your voice cracking with emotion, but Andy cut you off, her eyes wide open yours resting without once letting go. "Kiss Me."
You looked at her in surprise, your eyes widening in amazement. "What do you mean, Andy?" You asked quietly, your voice barely above a whisper.
"Kiss me," she whispered again, biting her lip. The words hung heavy in the air, and for a moment time seemed to stand still between the two of you. "I love you, y/n. But I don't know if you feel the same. So if you do, finally kiss me."
A smile slowly broke across your face and you took a step towards her until you were close to each other. You placed your hands gently on her cheeks, pulling her towards you before your lips met. You felt her shoulders relax and her tense posture lessen as she too gently placed her hands around your neck and gave in to the kiss.
"Y/n... I love you," she said quietly, her voice still shaking. "I wanted to tell you before, but I was afraid. I've felt it since the moment I first saw you. And after everything that's happened, I know I have to tell you. I love you."
„I love you too, Andy.“ You spoke and in that moment, surrounded by the first rays of sunshine and the aftermath of a life almost lost, you finally found each other. The world seemed to stand still as your hearts united and you knew that this love would conquer all.

Six months had passed since you and Andy revealed your feelings for each other. During this time, you had kept your relationship a secret from her colleagues at Station 19 and your sister, for fear of possible consequences and not to compromise the professionalism of Andy's work. But despite your efforts, you couldn't hide your love, and your secret meetings were a small comfort in the midst of the hectic everyday life with different work shifts.
Today you had returned from your home country of Italy after your family asked you for help, and Andy couldn't wait to hold you in her arms again. The longing for you had become so great that she could hardly stand counting the hours until she would see you again after you had disappeared for almost a week.
When you finally stepped through the guard gates, she felt a wave of relief and excitement wash over her, and her heart began to take a flight. She immediately rushed to you as you greeted the others and talked to Carina about the situation in your home country, her hand reaching for yours as if she would otherwise lose you.
“Y/n, I missed you so much,” Andy whispered quietly as she pulled you into a more private setting, leaning her forehead against yours as you held onto each other. “I missed you too, Andy,” you replied, your voice full of affection. "It feels like an eternity has passed since we last saw each other. Even though it was only a week."
You spent the whole day being with your family on Station 19, catching Andy's stares and big smiles as you constantly lost yourself in each other, satisfying your longing for closeness and touch as best you could while you moved carefully around her team. But the attraction between you was so strong that it became increasingly difficult for you to hide your feelings. Every glance, every accidental touch seemed to electrify the air around you, and you both knew it was only a matter of time before your love would come to light.
But after the lunch break, when you both sat next to each other at the table and had lunch with the team, Andy could hardly suppress her longing for you. She had to feel you, touch you, kiss you. A wild rush of excitement ran through her heart as she dragged you with her by your shirt while you helped Travis with the dishes.
As soon as she closed the door behind her, you fell into each other's arms, your lips pressed together in a desperate attempt to outsmart time and capture the moment. You were so engrossed in your passion that you didn't notice how the door slowly opened and two figures walked into the room.
Only when you heard the sound of a thick throat clearing did you break apart and turned around to see who had disturbed you. To your surprise, Maya and Carina stood in front of you, their faces a look of shock and surprise.
"What... what the fuck?" Maya stammered, her eyes wide but a mischievous grin gracing her lips. Carina was speechless, her hand pressed to her mouth as she took in the scene before her. "Andy, what are you doing with my sister?" She finally managed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Andy and you looked at each other, your heartbeat raging in your ears. Both of you had no idea what to say, how to explain this unexpected revelation to your sister, and you recognized the panic welling up in your girlfriend. The situation suddenly became complicated and full of unpleasant surprises, and you had to decide how you would deal with it.
As your sister's words filled the room, the spanish woman felt a pang of fear in her heart. Andy knew that her relationship with you didn't live up to the expectations your sister might have had for you, but she had hoped that Carina would accept it. But when she saw her sister's angry look, she feared the worst.
“Y/n, cosa ne pensi?" (Y/n, what are you thinking?) Carina continued, her voice trembling with indignation. "Lei è molto più vecchia di te! Questo... non è giusto! (She's much older than you. That's... that's just not right)
You looked at your sister calmly, your eyes momentarily lowered to the blonde who was standing next to her, smiling and intertwining her fingers with the Italian woman's. "Carina, mi dispiace che tu abbia reagito così, ma amo Andy. E l'età non conta quando si tratta di amore.“ (Carina, I'm sorry you reacted like that, but I love Andy. And age doesn't matter when it comes to love)
Andy felt your support and warming hand on her shoulder, even if she didn't understand exactly what you were saying, and felt strengthened in that moment. She knew it would possibly be a long road for your sister to accept their relationship, but she was determined to fight for your love.
Before Carina could protest again, Maya suddenly laughed loudly, a sound that permeated the room and broke the tension. "Oh, Carina, what's so bad about it? The most important thing is that they're both happy," Maya said between fits of laughter and received a silent glare from Carina who kept her arms crossed under her chest.
The brunette looked at her girlfriend, but then she noticed the look of calm on Maya's face and her words slowly sank in. Maybe she was right and it didn't matter what age difference you had as long as you were happy and Andy didn't hurt you in any kind of way.
Carina slowly let go of her anger and a smile spread across her face. "You're right, Maya. I should be happy that my sister found someone she loves so much. I'm just... surprised, that's all."
You felt a wave of relief wash over you. You had feared that your relationship with Andy would cause a fight between you, but now that Carina gave her consent, she could finally breathe a sigh of relief. It was a moment of reconciliation and understanding that strengthened your bond as sisters.
“Thank you, Carina,” you said quietly, a sigh of relief escaping your lips as your eyes shone with gratitude. "This really means a lot to me."
Carina nodded and held out her arms, which you sank into after you pulled away from Andy and hugged your sister tightly. "I love you, y/n. And I'm glad you're happy. Ma se Andy ti fa del male, la ucciderò.“ (But if Andy hurts you, I'll kill her)
A giggle escaped you and the atmosphere in the room changed. From tension and conflict to love and acceptance. But then, out of nowhere, as the four of you walked out of the locker room together, the blonde started laughing again, and Carina joined her in putting her arm around her shoulders.
"Oh, you two lovebirds! I can't believe we caught you making out!" Maya teased, tears of mirth in her eyes. "I feel like I've been blown back in time. It's like high school."
Carina joined in, and together they began to tease Andy and you, their words full of warmth and joy. And as you both rolled your eyes together and smiled at each other, your hands clasped tightly together, you knew that you would be paying for hiding your relationship from your sister and Andy's best friend for a very long time. But in that moment, everything was forgotten except the love that radiated between you.

Looking around the downstairs of the firehouse, Y/N has an impressed look on her face as she nods. “Your girlfriend is the captain of this place?” She peeks into the barn where the firetrucks are located, letting out a small ooh sound.
“Yes.” Carina laughs, her brows raised as she stares at her younger sister. “You like it?”
“Yeah, it’s cool.” She shrugs, trying to seem nonchalant, but Carina knows her sister.
Grabbing her arm, Carina starts leading her upstairs. “Let’s go, they’re cooking dinner and we’re joining them.”
Y/N gasps. “Is this one of those situations where your girlfriend tries to make a good impression on me, because you won’t date someone who doesn’t get along with me?” The words come out quickly, at times stumbling over them.
“No.”
“It totally is.”
With a sigh, Carina rolls her eyes. It is that kind of situation. She just doesn’t want to feed Y/N’s ego by letting her know how valuable her opinion is to her. But she knows.
When they walk into the kitchen, Y/N notices Carina’s girlfriend stiffing a pot, having seen a picture of her, but she isn’t the one who takes her attention. A brunette setting the table is. It’s like she can’t take her eyes off of her.
“Carina!” Maya exclaims when she notices them. “You’re here early.” She turns off the stove and walks over to the two, wiping her palms to her pants first.
“Our shift ended early.” Carina kisses her before pulling her near Y/N. “This is Y/N, my sister. This is Maya, my girlfriend.”
“Hi!” Smiling, Y/N shakes Maya’s hand. “Nice to finally meet the famous Captain Maya Bishop. Carina talks about you all the time. Maya is so hot. Maya is so muscular. Look at this picture of h-”
“Y/N!” Carina slaps the back of her head. Giggling, she steps away from Carina’s reach, rubbing the spot she got slapped on. “Behave.”
She rolls her eyes. Maya looks between the two, not sure how she should react to the two sisters. “Uh, it’s great to meet you too.” She points behind her, where the rest of the team is, introducing everyone to Y/N. They all wave and smile, saying their his, but Andy walks up to them.
“Hi!” She shakes Y/N’s hand. “You’re doctor too?” Andy looks at the white doctor’s coat she is wearing.
“Yes, I didn’t want to be the family disappointment by not becoming a doctor.” Carina glares at her, but Y/N ignores her. “I’m in general.”
“Awesome.”
The two stand a little bit too close to each other for someone who just met each other, but the others pay no mind to it. They just finish cooking the food and gather around the table, immeasurable bombarding Y/N with questions.
She answers to them to the best of her ability, though most of her attention is on Andy.
Humming quietly to herself, Y/N looks through the patient files on the tablet. She keeps glancing at her phone, frowning when there’s no new notifications. Her and Andy have been texting nonstop ever since they met, but now, Andy hasn’t answered to her in hours. Usually it doesn’t take her that long even if she’s working.
With a sigh, Y/N pockets her phone and sets the tablet down to a table. She has a surgery in half an hour, but until then there’s really nothing to do.
“Y/N!”
She turns towards the sound, her brows furrowing once she notices Andy walking towards her. “What are you doing here?” She meets her halfway. “Did something happen?”
“There was an accident during a call, but I-“
“Are you okay?” Y/N’s eyes start going up and down Andy’s body, looking for any significant injuries. She has a bandaid near her eye, but nothing else catches her attention.
“I’m okay. I wanted to see y-“
Y/N interrupts her once again, “are you sure? Did you already see someone? I can page someone over.” She takes out her pager, but Andy grabs her hands.
“Y/N, I’m okay. I wanted to see you, because I need to tell you something.” Nodding, Y/N stays quiet, giving her the space to talk. “I have feelings for you,” she starts, her voice quieter now, “and I would really like to take you out on a date.”
A big smile appears on Y/N’s face. “That’d be nice.”
“Okay, great.” Andy nods, smiling too. They look like two lovesick fools in the middle of the hospital hallway. “I’ll pick you up today at eight?” She raises one of her brows. “Wear something casual.”
“Got it.” Grabbing the tablet again, Y/N starts backing up slowly. “I have a surgery to go to, but I’ll see you today.”
Andy waves with a grin before walking away, feeling victorious.
Knocking on the door frame, Y/N walks into the locker room. “Hi, mi cara.” She smiles when Andy turns around.
“Hey,” she walks over to her and grabs her hand, pulling her deeper into the room to kiss her, “I am so happy to see you here.” Andy grins, moving them towards the rest room.
Y/N giggles. “I’m happy to be here,” she kicks the door closed once they’re inside the room, “the others have already gone home?”
“Yeah,” she kisses her, “we have all the time we need.” Pulling away momentarily, Andy pulls the doctor’s coat off of Y/N. “You look incredibly hot in your scrubs.” She eyes her body up and down.
“Even when I’m all hot and sweaty?”
“Even then.”
Rolling her eyes, Y/N pushes Andy to sit down on the bed before getting on top of her, draping her arms over her shoulders. “You look very hot in your work clothes too.” She mumbles, going back to kissing her.
Andy grabs the sides of her waist so she wouldn’t fall. Y/N’s hands are about to go down to the hem of Andy’s shirt, but the sound of the door opening interrupts them.
“Y/N?”
Their heads snap towards the now open door, where Maya and Carina are standing, both shocked to see them together.
“Carina!” Y/N struggles to get up from Andy’s lap. “What- what are you doing here?” Andy stands up as well, her eyes wide. Truth to be told, she’s kind of scared of the Italian, especially now that she walked in on them making out.
“What am I doing here? What are you doing?” Her hands start moving in the air. “Since when have you two been together?”
They glance at each other. “Like, six months.”
“Wh-“ Carina groans, throwing her hands in the air while mumbling in Italian, which makes Y/N scrunch up her face. “Six months and you didn’t think to tell me?”
Y/N shrugs, “sorry, there was never really a right time, so, you know,” she glances at Andy, trying to come up with some kind of explanation, “it just never came up.”
Carina has her arms crossed over her chest and her face is in a deadpan look. Maya has a tightlipped smile on her face, “well, I’m happy for you two.” She turns to look at Carina, her brows raised.
With a sigh, Carina walks over to hug Y/N and Andy. “I’m happy too, but you are supposed to tell me things.” She points at Y/N once she has backed away from them, giving Maya room to hug them both.
“I’m not ten anymore.” Y/N smiles, holding Andy’s hand.
“You’re still younger.”
She sighs, but nods, there’s no use to fighting Carina. “We were about to go out to eat, do you want to join us? Or did we interrupt something?” Maya smirks, looking at the jacket still laying on the ground.
“Maya!” Carina looks at her with wide eyes. “That’s my sister.”
“Oh, shut up, you had a study on orgasms.” Y/N picks up her jacket and puts it on. “We’ll join you, but I think we have to change first.” She looks at Maya and Carina’s nice, fancy clothes before turning to her and Andy’s work clothes that they’re still wearing.
“We’ll wait for you in the car,” Maya states while they step out of the room, “don’t take too long!” The door closes.
Andy turns to Y/N. “That’s one way for them to find out.” Laughing, she grabs Y/N’s hips. “I’m guessing you’re borrowing some of my clothes?” She mumbles and smiles when Y/N nods. “I love to see you in my clothes.”
“Don’t start anything now.” Y/N raises her brows, pulling away from Andy to go to her locker and grab some of her extra clothes from there.
“After dinner?”
“Definitely.” She kisses Andy and winks at her, before going to the bathroom to change her clothes, leaving Andy to the locker room with a grin.

"come in!" Andy holds the door open for you and you go in hesitantly. "Your apartment?" You look around.
"Here," Andy hands you a small glass of vodka and drinks from hers. "wah Andy wait, you've already drunk so much!" you put your vodka aside and grab her arm. She looks you in the eye with a wicked look, comes up to you with a quick stride and kisses you without hesitation. You can't really respond and try to push her away.
"Andy....you've had too much to drink..." you try to say under the kisses, but Andy breaks the kiss, looks deep into your eyes and kisses you again. This time more lovingly, she puts her hands in your hair and reaches under your butt to carry you to her bed. "w..wait...I've never done this...with a woman..." Andy takes off her top and bends down to you, right above you. "Then you're not alone today...we'll find out how it works..." she grins cheekily and looks at you greedily.
Your heart is about to explode as Andy starts to undress you. She takes in every single view of your body.
"you're so fucking beautiful" she kisses your cheek, your neck and slowly works her way down to your chest to elicit a soft moan. You close your eyes and enjoy her every touch. Andy undresses completely and helps you with the rest of your clothes.
"damn....Andy..." You give her a dazed look as she sits on top of you. She starts to move slowly on top of you, kisses you and moves down between your thighs to pleasure you. You are completely winded and feel the adrenaline rush to your face as you climax far too quickly with a loud moan. Andy looks at you with a raised eyebrow and smiles. "Looks like someone hasn't let off any steam for a long time, huh?"
You put your hands over your mouth in embarrassment and whisper. "sorry"
"sssshhhh...." Andy gives you her sweetest smile and lies down next to you, covers you up and cuddles up to you. "Would you like to continue?" she looks at you questioningly and you just kiss her, run your hand all over her sensitive spots and manage to elicit a sweet moan or two from Andy.
She presses herself against your hand, snuggles closer to you and starts to tremble with excitement. "Don't stop..." she whispers in your ear. You grin cheekily and kiss the sensitive spot on her neck, causing her to moan loudly as she climaxes under your hand. The two of you enjoy being together for most of the night, regardless of the time.
The next morning you slowly wake up and suddenly feel Andy running off. "what the..." You get up and go to the bathroom where Andy throws up. "You definitely drank too much yesterday." You smile and Andy cleans herself up, rinses her mouth out and doesn't look at you.
".......w...what...why are you at my house..." she grabs her head and sighs "we were drinking and you really overdid it with the drinking...can't you remember anything?" You go to get dressed and Andy follows you. "you're naked...did we...?" Andy sits down on her bed. "sex? ...most of the night and it was great!" you sit down next to her. "w..wait what!?" Andy suddenly stands up and looks at you stupidly. "this was never planned...damn it...I'm your captain!" Andy grabs her forehead. "ok ok this can't happen again..seriously..." Andy gets ready and puts on her jacket.
"Andy wait! How long are you going to deny your feelings? Just let it happen...I love-" Andy interrupts you abruptly. "Don't say it!.....We have to go...now come on" You look after her in disappointment and finally follow her.
When she arrives at work, Andy tries hard not to fall asleep. "god my head is buzzing...." Sullivan noticed Andy's absence and follows her into the office.
When he comes in he sees Andy puking in the trash can. "Are you okay Captain?" He comes to her and strokes her back. "Yes, everything's fine...." Sullivan smells the alcohol and smiles. "You're here with a huge hangover? It's rare that you've had so much to drink." She sits down in the chair and takes a deep breath as you knock and enter. "ugh..god..." Andy huffs and Sullivan switches his gaze between you and nods. "All right..." he pats Andy on the shoulder.
After Sullivan leaves the office you look at Andy. "The Christmas preparations need to be planned. I could help you." Andy looks at you completely exhausted and just nods silently. "Look...that from last night...whatever happened there...that won't happen again..." Andy speaks in a calm tone, only this time you don't answer.
"There will never be anything between-"
"Just leave it Andy, it's enough now! I can't hear it anymore. You're the most stubborn person I've ever met-.." you interrupt her in a loud voice, but you can't finish your sentence . "-I am your captain and no other recruit!" At that moment the first call comes, you both exchange angry looks, your leaving with everyone else except Sullivan.
Andy takes a short tour to the barn and looks thoughtfully into the empty room as Sullivan approaches her. "tough night huh?" He leans on the railing next to Andy.
"hm.." andy sighs. "She doesn't even want a higher rank..." Andy speaks quietly. "And then what is it that worries you? Look...everyone here can see that there is something between you"
"There's nothing going on between me and Y/N. We obviously had sex last night and I can't remember anything haha...stupid" Andy laughs and is frustrated.
"It took so long between you and me. We both never agreed on what was going on. And now look what happened to us...divorced." Andy looks to Sullivan for help.
"You think it will happen again? You are Captain Andy and you have the opportunity now to make it better." Her expression looks sad.
"I think I love her...and it's so frustrating. It's like I'm running into a wall and never getting over it..." Sullivan nods understandingly and taps her on the shoulder with a gentle smile. "You'll do the right thing Andy, you always do" Robert leaves, leaving a lost in thoughts Andy.
"Captain here bishop, do you copy?" Andy immediately grabs the walkie talkie. "Here herrera, what is it?"
"We have an injured person, a tree fell on Y/N. Please allow me to go to the hospital." Andy immediately looks shocked. "y...yes...of course!" Sullivan sees everything. Andy's breathing quickens and she looks at Sullivan. "Andy no, you're captain, you have to stay here for-" but he doesn't get any further because Andy runs off. "You are temporarily interim captain of my Station Sullivan!" And with these words she gets into the captain's car to drive to the hospital.
-Flashback to the call-
"Anchor the tree with the straps guys!" A large tree has fallen on the street, making it more difficult to remove everything due to all the snow. "Y/N, on the frontside and Montgomery on the other side!" Both sides are apparently solid and the tree slowly floats over the ground to be loaded onto the transporter. You're standing off to the side trying to maneuver the tree when suddenly the loop holding your side of the tree breaks. The trunk brushes against you and drags you to the ground.
Bishop and the others run to you as fast as they could and see the extent of the accident. A splintered part of the tree has embedded itself in your right shoulder and is causing bleeding. "Oh god..." Bishop looks at the wound as you breathe heavily. Montgomery and Hughes hold the branch while Warren saws off a piece so as not to pull the branch out. With an additional pressure bandage, you are put on a stretcher, which the rescuers brought with them as soon as they arrived. You come to the hospital immediately.
-Flashback END-
"ok let's get an ultrasound for fast exam, we need two large four IV's wide open. every trauma labs, also calcium! GO!" Dr. Baily said while all the other doctors are messing around with you.
Andy arrives and sees the scene as if she were in a movie. She stands there looking completely lost and watching everything when you suddenly go into cardiac arrest due to the blood loss. Back among the living, you will be driven straight to an operating room.
About to have a panic attack, she collapses to her knees, holding her chest and hyperventilating violently. "Captain! hey Captain Herrera! come to you!" Travis calls. "Herrera! Andy!" Vic leans down and hugs Andy, who is still completely confused. "You have to breathe, look at me, Andy, look at me!" Vic holds her face and sees the pained look on her face.
Andy slowly comes to herself, doesn't say a single word for the entire hours during which you are operated on. Her eyes lost and perplexed, full of guilt.
Other firefighters in the group are also waiting and whisper quietly among themselves what is going on between you and Andy. Vic stands up and walks over to them. "Seriously...guys..." She understands it all well, based on her own experiences with her and Ripley. "None of your shit!"
"It's ok, Vic... leave them alone.." Travis calms her down. Dr. Grey comes out after 4 hours and looks at Andy, her expression not changing. Andy stands up and looks expectant.
What will Dr. Grey say? What's happening with Y/N? <3

accident
The morning sun cast a soft glow over the streets of Seattle as Y/N drove to her training session for USWNT. The familiar scent of coffee filled the air, but her mind was focused on the upcoming game and the challenges that lay ahead. As she approached an intersection, the traffic light turned red, forcing her to come to a stop.
Just as the light turned green, Y/N accelerated, her mind still occupied with thoughts of tactics and strategy for the game. The intersection was busy, cars moving in various directions. However, in the blink of an eye, a distracted driver ran a red light, colliding with Y/N's car from the side.
The impact sent Y/N's car spinning, metal crunching against metal. The sudden jolt left her disoriented, the world spinning around her. As the chaos unfolded, she heard the distant wail of sirens, and through the haze, she saw the familiar faces of Maya hopping out of the fire truck and the Station 19 team rushing to the scene before her eyes started to close shut.
Maya takes in the scene,  her eyes fall on the license plate number she has seen dozens of times. Her mind jumps to y/n, who she knows is in Seattle for the game coming up later in the week. The y/n who she and Carina took under their wing after she showed up several times to clinic days. They opened their home for her until she was steady enough to be on her own and when she isn’t with USWNT she is home in the UK playing for Arsenal.
Panic and concern etched across her face, as she sprinted towards Y/N's car. Reaching the damaged vehicle, she instantly saw y/n out cold. Reaching for the door handle, it wouldn’t budge. “Fuck! Guys it’s y/n. We need the jaws of life to remove the door and maybe even windshield for more access.” Travis went to grab it as Warren and Andy came with the med bag as they were on Aid car 19. “Y/n, I’m not sure if you can hear me but I need you to try to open your eyes. It’s Maya. You are going to be okay.”
Maya makes the decision to break the backseat window and enter through there before crawling front to the passenger seat. Andy did the same but remained behind y/n as she helped stabilize her neck with a c-collar after Maya checked for a pulse.
With all the hands touching her, y/n started to stir awake, moaning in pain. “Shhh. Y/n, it’s going to be okay, just try to remain still for us.”
Hearing the familiar voice, y/n turned her head as much as possible with the collar on to the source. “Cap…” She whispered.
“Hey there, kiddo. You took quite a big hit. Andy and I are in the car with you. Can you tell me if you are in pain and where?” Maya scans over y/n as y/n thinks the question through.
“Um. My head is pounding and the light makes it worse. Chest might be bruised… Maya…” y/n’s facial expression changes into a panicked one.
“Y/n, what’s wrong?... Y/n talk to me…”
“...legs… I- I can’t feel my legs. Maya- no no…” Y/n begins to spiral as realization hits her.
“Y/n, I need you to listen to me and breathe. We will figure it out but don’t focus on that right now. I need you to get your breathing under control.”
Warren assisted Travis in preparing the jaws of life while Maya focused on Y/N's immediate needs. Andy opened the med bag, retrieving equipment to monitor vital signs.
"Y/N, I need you to stay with me. Andy's going to monitor your vital signs, and we'll make sure you're as comfortable as possible," Maya explained, her voice a steady presence in the chaos. “Nice deep breaths.”
Andy secured an IV line, administering fluids to address potential shock. Maya continued to assess Y/N's chest and abdomen, searching for any signs of internal injuries.
"Good job, Andy. Let's keep an eye on those vitals. Y/N, I need you to let me know if anything feels off or if the pain increases," Maya directed, her focus unwavering. “Y/n pay attention to me. Eyes on me. We will worry about your legs when we pull you out.”
“Cap, my legs are everything. You know that.”
“I know, Y/n, I promise I know.” Maya is reminded of how soccer saved Y/N life and helped lift her from her rough past.
As Maya reassured Y/N, the situation took a dire turn. A faint hissing sound emerged from beneath the wreckage, followed by the acrid smell of gas. Maya's heart sank as she realized the danger they were in.
"Warren, Travis, we've got a gas leak! We need to get Y/N out of here, now!" Maya's voice cut through the chaos, urgency evident in every word. With adrenaline coursing through their veins, the team intensified their efforts.
Travis and Warren redoubled their efforts with the jaws of life, while Andy swiftly prepared Y/N for extraction, mindful of the looming threat of fire. Maya coordinated the rescue operation with precision, her training kicking in as she assessed the risks and devised a plan.
Suddenly, a spark ignited the volatile atmosphere, and flames erupted, engulfing the front of the car. Time seemed to slow as panic surged through the team. Without hesitation, Maya made a split-second decision.
"Grab Y/N, we're getting her out, now!" Maya commanded, her voice unwavering despite the inferno raging around them. With synchronized movements, Andy and Maya carefully lifted Y/N, their actions swift yet deliberate.
“Stop it-it hurts! Maya, stop!” Y/n screamed and cried as her body was hastily carried out of the vehicle.
“I’m sorry, Y/n but we need to leave now!” Maya screamed over the chaos. As they lifted y/n out and placed her on the stretcher, they ran as Vic and Jack foamed over the gas leak.
“Leah… I was on a call with Leah before.” Y/n suddenly remembered having her girlfriend on the other end of the line before the crash.
“Don’t worry, I will call her, right now.” Maya climbed into the back of the ambulance, her eyes never leaving Y/N. "You're doing great, Y/N. We're right here with you," she said, her voice filled with reassurance.
Andy followed suit, bringing the medical bag and equipment into the confined space of the ambulance. Y/N's eyes darted between Maya and Andy, seeking comfort in their familiar faces amidst the uncertainty.
“Speaking of the devil, Leah is facetiming me.” Maya says unlocking her phone but as the ambulance doors closed, Y/N's panic resurfaces. The confined space and the realization of the severity of the situation weighed heavily on her. "Maya, I can't... I can't breathe. It's too much," Y/N gasped, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
Maya quickly grabbed an oxygen mask from the medical bag. "Y/N, slow your breathing. This will help," she said, placing the mask gently over Y/N's face. "Deep breaths. In and out."
“What’s happening? Maya what happened to Y/n?!” Leah yelled through the phone panicked by Y/n’s panic.
“Y/n look who I have on the phone, wanting to see you.” Maya tries to distract the woman in front of her. Y/n pauses for a second to see her blurred girlfriend on the screen.
“Baby, you’re going to be okay, Maya is with you and I am sure Carina will meet you in the hospital. I’ll be on the next plane over.” Leah reassured y/n.
“Leahhh,” Y/n cried. “I can’t - can’t feel my legs. I’m so scared.” Leah pauses and a panic look crosses over her eye but she tries to remain as calm as possible.
“Wait until the doctor’s check you out, it could just be from slight inflammation. Just focus on what Maya says. She is with you and looks like Andy is there too. You are gonna be fine, baby just remain calm.”
“Leah, we are pulling into the ambulance bay in a minute so I am going to hang up and get her sorted for the medical staff. I’ll call you back as soon as I can.” Maya tells Leah knowing how protective she is of her girlfriend. With that Leah gives another word of love to Y/n before canceling the call.
“I texted Carina as well, I am not sure if she’s in surgery or not but she’ll come to find us once she sees it.” Maya informs y/n knowing she is able to calm down more when Carina is around. “We are almost there, but it’s going to get chaotic. Just breathe, it’ll be alright.”
The ambulance pulls up and doors open to reveal Amelia, Bailey, Kepner, Teddy, and Carina.
“What do we have?” Bailey starts.
“23 year old female in a MVC, airbags deployed, head laceration, possible spinal injury, she says she can’t feel her legs. C-spine precaution taken. Y/n had two panic attacks already and is in pain but no pain meds given as unknown head trauma...” Andy trails off.
“Alright, trauma 2.”
Y/n is rolled in as everyone takes on a role and several hands are trying to assess her injuries to the full extent. Y/n takes her deep breaths as she reminds herself they are here to help her.
In the entrance of the room Maya whispers to Carina, “Carina, she said she can’t feel her legs. I tried to stay calm for her but it’s never good. She was freaking out…”
A loud groan of pain takes them out of their moment as they see they have turned y/n on her side to check her back before placing her back down. Amelia does a head work up and then moves down to y/n’s legs. Carina steps closer to y/n for support as Amelia asks her if she can feel her touching her feet.
“I can’t feel it.” Amelia moves up the leg and to the knee. “Nothing.” Amelia moves mid-thigh. “I barely feel that.”
“Okay, don’t worry, we will get a CT scan and check you out. Might just be inflammation on the spine that will go away.” Amelia reassured the girl Carina took under her wing.
“And what if it doesn’t,” Y/n asks the question she knows the answer to.
“Let’s see what the scans say and we will take it from there.” Amelia places her hand on Y/n’s hand but she pulls away.
“I’m going to be sick.” With that, y/n turns her body as much as possible and only dry heaves.
“Bambina, you are stressing yourself out. I know you are worried about playing soccer, hell even walking but one thing at a time. You can’t think of what ifs. I am here now. I will make sure things are in order. Maya and I will be there for you every step of the way. I am going to need you to practice the breathing exercises. I don’t want them to sedate you but if your panic gets in the way…”
“No, no I promise.” Y/n cuts her off and closes her eyes trying to regulate her breathing. The team talks to her about the next steps of imaging and makes her a priority case.

Ok so not too much because I don’t write but I feel like Andy and Vic need more fanfics so here we are🫶🏾
Snowed in
Vic, Andy, and Travis had all volunteered to stay after the Christmas party and clean and ended up snowed in because of a snow storm. Everyone knew Vic and Andy were flirtatious with one another and that they were close but, no one knew they had recently got in a relationship and had been sneaking around. After they had finished cleaning they decided to chill in the lounge and watch a movie. It was about half way into the movie when Vic got up from leaning on Andy’s side, stretched, and said “I think I’m gonna head to bed”, Andy yawned and said “me too”. They both stood and headed to their bunks as Travis got comfortable on the newly freed space on the couch. Although Travis had been felling like they’d been closer than usual this past week he didn’t say anything, just brushed it off and continued watching the movie.
Andy and Vic had showered and were getting ready for bed, Vic was putting her toothbrush and toothpaste in her locker when she felt hands wrap around her waist. “Ready for bed mami” Andy said placing a soft kiss to Vic’s shoulder, “mmm that depends, you coming with me?” Vic said as she relaxed into the embrace. “We can sleep in your bunk but you have to promise to behave my love” Andy said, Vic turned in Andy’s arms smiling as she wrapped her arms around Andy’s neck “pinky swear” she said in a not-so convincing tone. Andy just smiled and shook her head giving Vic a chaste kiss before grabbing her hand and leading them to Vic’s bunk and of course Vic didn’t stay true to her pinky promise. As soon as they got comfortable, Vic laying in the crook of Andy’s neck while Andy wrapped her arm around Vic’s waist, Vic started kissing Andy’s neck, soft pecks at first before they grew into open mouthed kisses, “Vic” Andy said in a warning tone. Vic continued her kisses beginning to leave hickies. Andy pulled away to look in Vic’s eyes “my love Travis’s bunk is the next one over and you promised you’d behave” Andy said as she cupped Vic’s cheek rubbing softly with her thumb, Vic whimpered “Please baby, I’ll be quiet” she said leaning in to place a hungry kiss on Andy’s lips. Andy knew she couldn’t resist her girlfriend for much longer. Then, Vic grabbed Andy’s hand from her waist and pushed it in her pants over her clothed center and began grinding on her hand. Andy’s breath hitched as she felt her girlfriends wetness through her underwear. Vic was panting into her girlfriends mouth as she continued to grind on Andy’s hand, “please” Vic said breathlessly into Andy’s mouth.
Travis had finished the movie and went to shower before bed, thinking nothing of the fact that Andy and Vic had “went to bed” at the same time. Andy had given in and slipped her hand into Vic’s panties and began circling her clit, she could tell Vic was already on edge as she slipped her two middle fingers into Vic’s core and Vic moved her head into Andy’s neck, sucking and nipping trying to muffle her moans. Andy groaned lightly feeling Vic nip at her neck but continued pumping her fingers in and out at a steady pace, her palm brushing over Vic’s clit. ”fuckkkk” Vic whimpered into her girlfriends neck. She wrapped her arm around Andy sliding her hands under the back of her shirt leaving scratches up and down her back. By this time Travis had gotten out of the shower and was putting his things in his locker, Andy heard shuffling over her girlfriends moaning, “try to be quiet for me mami” Andy said Vic whimpered in response, she could feel herself getting tighter around Andy’s fingers “baby I’m gonna cum” Vic said as she began grinding uncontrollably against Andy’s fingers. Travis heard noises coming from Vic’s bunk and went to go check on her. As he got closer to her door he quickly realized that he was hearing moans “OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD” he whispered as he quickly turned to leave the locker room. Vic was lost in her pleasure at this point and began moaning loudly, Andy kissed her hoping it would quiet Vic down but she only got louder as her thighs began to shake. Andy sped up her ministrations causing Vic to cum with a loud strangled cry. Andy slowed her fingers but continued to work Vic through her orgasm. Vic was coming down from her high, jerking a bit in aftershocks and panting trying to catch her breath. “Travis definitely heard you my love” Andy said with a giggle before she pulled out of Vic looking in her eyes as she licked her fingers clean, moaning at the taste of Vic’s cum. “We’ll be fucking all night if you keep doing that and it’s not my fault” Vic mumbled as she scooted closer and laid her head on Andy’s chest a slight blush painting her cheeks. “whatever you say my love” Andy said as she began to softly rub Vic’s back. “I love you” Vic said as she drifted off to sleep, “I love you” Andy whispered placing a kiss on Vic’s forehead before drifting off to sleep as well.
Travis ended up sleeping on the couch in the lounge. The next morning he entered the kitchen hearing giggles “morning Travis” Vic said as she looked up and noticed him entering the kitchen “morning Travis” Andy said looking up from her plate of fruit. He looked between the both of them sitting side by side before saying “so are we gonna talk about the sounds I heard coming from Vic’s bunk last night orrr???!” Vic and Andy both felt their faces heat up “nope” they both replied at the same time and looked down at their plates. “Oh come on vic we tell each other everything, at least tell me when you guys made it official” he said as he grabbed a muffin and sat across from them, vic scratched the back of her neck as she replied “a month ago” almost too quickly to be heard knowing what her best friend’s reaction would be. “A MONTH??” He yelled “first of all why didn’t you tell me??, second who else knows?, third-wait I am the first one to find out right??” He said, his words stumbling out of his mouth, “woah calm down” Vic said “yes you’re the first to know” “oh thank god….continue” he said “we didn’t tell anyone because we wanted to have fun and figure out our feelings first, that’s all” Andy said. “Soo” he said looking at Vic “soo what” Vic said “how’s the sex” he asked a smirk playing at his lips, Vic’s eyes went wide in shock as Andy bursted into laughter at seeing how flustered her girlfriend got “OH MY GOD I am not telling you about that while she’s sitting right next to me” Vic said while Andy was still trying to calm down from her fit of laughter. “Fine her presence saved you this time but as soon as you get a moment alone you’re telling me everything” Travis said as he took a bite from his muffin. Vic just rolled her eyes “I’m going to take a nap, the roads should be clear in a few hours” Andy said standing and walking her plate to the kitchen to clean it off. Vic got up and followed behind her wrapping her arms around Andy’s waist, whispering in her ear “how about I come join you” she said nipping at Andy’s earlobe, Andy turned her head and connected their lips, lingering for a second before pulling back and whispering “we’re only napping mami Im serious” Andy said. Before Vic could reply Travis cleared his throat causing them both to turn around “could you two be gross anywhere else besides the kitchen where I enjoy my food. At least let me enjoy my muffin since I had to sleep on the couch last night” The pair just walked away hand in hand giggling.
……they did in fact do more than just nap.
Please tell me how y’all feel about this🤍

……………………………………………………………………
“Well no shit Jo,” Alex said as he finally regained his senses and ran over to her.
As he kneeled down in front of her, Jo moved to pass the baby to him. “Can you see if she’s okay? She, she was crying when she was born a few minutes ago. I think, I think she's okay, but I don’t know.”
“Yeah,” Alex said, putting his hands over that baby’s mouth and he was relieved to feel her breath in short warm puffs against his hand. After knowing their baby was breathing and generally alright, he looked at the pool of blood between Jo's legs. He reached to grab his phone from his pocket. He had to get an ambulance here soon or Jo wasn’t gonna make it.
“I'm fine, I promise, just please take her,” Jo said again as she insisted on transferring the baby into his arms.
Suddenly, Alex found himself holding his child, his daughter. She was indeed a girl like Jo said. He was still on high alert and thinking like a doctor, rather than the father of this baby as he pressed his fingers to the inside of her arm to check her pulse. Although she wasn't crying, she moved around, throwing her arms up as she startled, but remained asleep. It quickly checked her APGAR scores, her coloring, breathing, reflexes, muscle tone, and heart rate. He had already checked her breathing and heart rate and she was a perfect pink color. She moved around and even sneezed with her whole tiny body in the most adorable way. She was beautiful, she was perfect.
“Hi, my baby,” Alex said, a gleeful smile spreading across his face.
With the knowledge that the baby was generally okay, Alex took a second to look at his daughter. They had a baby girl. This baby girl he was holding was his daughter and he couldn't quite wrap his head around it. He paused for a moment to stare at her because she was perfect. She was beautiful. She was all pink and warm with ten tiny toes and ten tiny fingers. She had her mom's perfect pouted lips but his nose and forehead. She looked so much like him that it was a little scary. She had dark brown little curls like him and like Jo too, and he knew that if she opened her eyes he would see his own reflected back at him. But he only allowed himself a few seconds to stare at her as he knew he still had to take care of her and Jo and get them both to the hospital as soon as possible.
“She, she was crying and, and moving around a lot,” Jo whispered, looking at her with a small smile as she reached out to run her finger across her baby's hand as the infant instinctively wrapped her fingers around Jo’s.
“That’s good,” Alex said as he looked around the bathroom. He quickly grabbed the fresh towel that Jo had hung up on the rack for him and wrapped the baby up.
He looked at the cord, to see a hair barrette clasped to it like a clamp. The cord was a jagged cut but looked clean and it was covered in betadine. “Did you do this?”
“Yeah, I grabbed what I could from the drawer,” Jo said as he looked over to the open drawer next to her with her bloody handprint on it. “I, I used the little nail scissors, but I covered it in betadine. It's not, it's not infected, is it?”
“No, it looks good,” Alex said, looking up at Jo before he reached to grab something else to wrap around her. He grabbed her towel from the rack and put it around Jo’s shoulders although she still shivered.
“She's, she's okay,” Jo asked, a little out of breath, but with a smile as she stared down at their daughter. Their daughter, he still couldn't believe it.
“She's great, you did great Jo,” Alex said as he moved to give the baby back to her. “Can you hold her?”
“I'm, I'm really tired,” Jo complained, leaning her head against the tiled wall.
It was clear that she needed his attention now. As he looked closer the pool of fluids was mostly amniotic fluid, but it was dark with blood. Jo shivered as her lips trembled, she looked pale and Alex could tell she was a little bit out of it as she repeated herself and spoke slowly.
“Okay, just stay here and watch her,” Alex says before setting the baby on the warm bathroom floor. Thank god, Jo convinced him to get those heated floors years ago. He got his phone out and dialed 911. As he waited for the call to pick up, he ran over to the cabinet to grab the emergency bag. He quickly pulled it out and he rifled through it to grab two emergency blankets, along with a bag of fluids and an IV kit. Jo always said he was paranoid to keep all this medical stuff in their cabinet, but he knew they would need it. He just thought that they would use it to help a neighbor or something. Alex never imagined this.
“911, what is your emergency?” A stoic woman's voice asked.
“My wife, Dr. Josephine Karev has just given birth. The baby's doing well, her Apgar score is a 10 and she's breathing on her own. But my wife, she hasn't delivered the placenta yet and now she's still bleeding. I need an ambulance right away at 4196 Cale St.”
“Okay, Mr. Karev, can you tell me how much blood your wife has lost and how is the baby?”
“The baby's fine, It's my wife I'm worried about. She's lost a lot of blood, at least a few liters. I’m a doctor and I'm going to try and help her deliver the placenta, just call station 19 and tell them to get here as soon as possible!” Alex yelled before he hung up.
He knew he should have stayed on the line longer, but Jo needed him and he needed all of his focus on her if he was going to help her.
As he looked over at her, Jo had closed her eyes as she leaned her head back against the wall. She had pulled one leg up and she held her knee. He pulled out the first emergency blanket and wrapped it around their baby who was content and still sleeping. Then he put the second emergency blanket around Jo's shoulders. He quickly set up the IV, taking Jo’s arm and trying to find a good vein. He tapped his fingers over a vein and for a second, he wondered if we should wait for the EMTs to do this. It'd been a while since he’d done an IV. He looked up at Jo, who nodded, trusting him as he slid the needle under her skin. Jo hissed, but it was a good vein and he quickly set it up before hooking the bag of fluids on a towel rack above them.
Then he moved to press on her belly. It was soft and tender and he tried to gently massage it to get the placenta to detach. Jo grimaced and reached out to grab his hand. She wrapped her fingers around his and squeezed, hard. Alex tried not to squeak as he knew Jo was in much more pain than he was. He heard the baby make a noise as she sneezed again and he glanced back to see her yawn, but she remained asleep. He went back to Jo and squeezed her hand as he massaged her belly, but he still had to glance back at their baby to double-check that she was real.
He couldn't believe that she was pregnant and he didn't know it. He’d seen her two weeks ago and this chubby cheeks little baby was definitely full term, 39 weeks or at least a full 40 weeks. Sure Jo had gained a little weight recently, but not baby weight. She certainly didn't have a bump when he left and she certainly wasn't pregnant. He couldn't think of her having any of the signs of pregnancy in the last nine months.
She was tired when she was in the early parts of her depression 6 months ago and that was also when she started to put on weight. But when she got back from treatment, she was just Jo, his wife, and a brilliant surgeon. Sure she suddenly had a craving for almonds and purple juice, but that was it. She was happy, she was herself again. He was just so grateful to have her back that he didn't care about the changes in her body, he just loved her for all that she was.
“I need to push,” Jo said as she started to pant and put her chin to her chest, squeezed her eyes shut, and pushed.
“Okay, I got you, Jo,” Alex said as he let her squeeze his hand as she moaned.
Alex glanced again at their baby girl, still sleeping soundly and wrapped in the towel and emergency blanket. She waved her little arms around up by her face. Their beautiful perfect little girl that Jo delivered all on her own. Then he looked back at Jo as she sighed and panted in between her pushing.
He had thought about having a baby with Jo since the moment he decided that she was the one he wanted to marry. He thought about how excited he would be to find out that she was pregnant. How he would hold her hair back when she had morning sickness and rub her feet when they got big and swollen and she couldn't see them anymore. How he would rub her belly and talk to their baby as much as he could and he would calm them down so she could sleep without them kicking her all night.
He thought about what he would do when she was in labor. How he would hold her hand and get her ice chips. Here he was holding her hand and watching his wife finish giving birth and he found himself at an absolute loss of what he could do for her. From the look on her face, Jo was in immeasurable amounts of pain and there was nothing he could do about it.
“You're doing great,” Alex said, holding her hand as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pressed his forehead against hers. “You're doing so good and it's almost over, just a few more pushes and it's all over.”
She screwed her eyes shut and pushed again, she pushed and pushed until she let out a cry and Alex watched as she delivered the placenta. Jo collapsed, her knees falling apart and she leaned her head back against the wall. She looked completely drained of all her energy, but it was over and she could rest.
“That's it, Jo, it’s all over. You did so good, just rest okay. I got you, just rest.” Alex said as he pressed a kiss to her cheek and when he pulled back he saw Jo lightly smile, although she kept her eyes closed.
But he knew it wasn’t over. Jo was still bleeding heavily. Alex put on a pair of gloves and carefully inspected the placenta. It looked intact, but as he flipped it over his heart stopped. There was a piece missing from the placenta, which means it was still inside of her. This spelled out a number of complications, yet Alex had no idea what to do. He tried to remember what they would do when he was an intern working with Addison, but that was years ago. He tried to run through different things in his brain. The only thing he could think of was to keep massaging her belly in the hope that her uterus would contract and stop bleeding.
Jo had moved to lay down on her side, next to their baby. She curled up and put one arm around the baby. Her legs were drenched in blood and she started to shake with chills. Alex immediately grabbed the other towel from the closet, wrapping it around her waist before he tucked the emergency blanket around her, tucking her feet into the blanket.
“I'm just gonna rest now,” Jo said, her eyes closed as she whispered.
“Yeah, you rest. It's going to be okay. I'll watch over you both,” Alex said as he crouched down by her head, brushing away the hairs from her face before he moved his hand down to massage her belly, praying that the bleeding would stop.
“Jo, are you still with me?” Alex asked, reaching up to brush his fingers against his cheek.
Jo moaned, her eyes briefly closing again. “I'm here.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Alex said, as he put her head in his lap and kept massaging her belly. “You just stay with me, okay.”
“I’m right here, we're both right here,” Jo said, her eyes briefly opening as she looked at their little girl with a smile.
“I guess that joke I made about putting a baby in you was in poor taste, hu?” Alex said, looking down at his baby girl.
“Yeah, I guess I already had a baby in me,” Jo said, glancing up at him.
Alex couldn't help but laugh and Jo even chuckled too as she smiled. Before he took in a deep breath and let it out. The one thing no one talked about in an emergency was the agonizing wait for help. His fingers tangled in Jo’s hair as he rubbed her belly. He focused on the movement as his fingers pressed into her stomach. He didn't know what else to do. He checked the towel between Jo’s legs and paled at how much blood she had lost.
“Jo, please stay with me,” Alex pleaded with her as Jo stirred and opened her eyes.
“I’m right here,” Jo promised him with a whisper, although her eyes soon closed again and her normally warm pink cheeks were pale.
Finally, he heard the sound of the ambulance. Alex could see the blue and red lights from the window and was relieved they were finally here. He quickly got up and checked on Jo and the baby. Both of them were quietly sleeping although Jo looked up at him with a small smile before he got up to unlock the door and usher the EMTs in.
“Hey man,” Warren greeted him but Alex only nodded before he ran back to the bathroom kneeling next to Jo and picking up the baby.
He gently unwrapped her as she threw out her arms up in surprise, letting out a cry before Alex started gently swaying and trying to settle her.
“Well looks like she's got a good set of lungs,” one of the firefighters said as she came into the bathroom, her name tag said, Bishop.
“Yeah, she's doing fine, please it's my wife,” Alex said as he looked down at Jo who barely looked up as they came into the bathroom.
“Don't worry, we got her,” Warren said, putting a hand on his shoulder as he stepped into the bathroom before kneeling down next to Jo. “Hey, Jo I heard you had a baby? I thought it couldn't be true since I saw you yesterday with a flat stomach.”
Jo's eyes fluttered open as she looked up at Warren with a smile as he started attaching the electrodes to her chest. “Yeah, I'd say I look pretty…. pretty good for having a…. a baby.”
Each of her words was said in part as she paused to take in another breath before speaking again. Alex felt his heart beat faster in his chest as he worried for her. He watched as Bishop pulled back the blanket again to reveal that the blood had soaked down to her knees.
“How long ago did she deliver?” Bishop asked, looking up at him.
“About an hour ago maybe, she had just had the baby when I got home. I've been visiting my mom in Iowa. She just delivered the placenta, but I think there's still a part of it missing and she's lost a lot of blood,” Alex said as a few more firefighters came in, Herrera and Gibson according to their name tags.
“Sir, can we see the baby?” Herrera asked as Gibson put on a pair of gloves.
Alex nodded and gently unwrapped the baby, but she started to cry again. He didn't want to give her up. He quickly settled her as they started to put electrodes on her chest. She settled in his arms again as he swayed and looked up at him with big dark eyes, just like her mother's.
“She's fine, she's been perfect, her APGAR scores were great and I'm not worried about her,” Alex said as they looked up at him.
“Dr. Karev is a pediatrician,” Warren explained to them. “And Jo here is a general surgeon, aren't you Jo?”
Jo barely looked up at him and didn't respond to what Warren said or did as he put the blood pressure cuff on her. Bishop started to massage Jo’s belly, trying to get her uterus to contract and stop the bleeding. While Herrera and Gibson checked out the baby. Alex looked over at the monitor to see that her stats were perfect, but Jo’s were falling quickly.
“Alright let's go to her on the stretcher, we need to get to the hospital as quickly as possible,” Bishop said as Warren nodded.
Gibson grabbed the stretcher and went over to them as Herrera pulled him back to move out of the room with the baby. They loaded Jo onto a stretcher and they tucked the blanket around her. There was so much blood on the bathroom floor and it dripped down the side of the stretcher.
Alex was torn between the two of them as Herrera ushered him and the baby out. They wheeled Jo past him and as they did Jo looked up and reached out her hand. Alex instantly took it and gave it a squeeze as he followed them with the baby in his arms. He stood next to Jo still holding her hand and holding their baby girl in his arms as they got into the elevator. Warren put a nasal cannula on her and Jo fought to keep her eyes open as they loaded up and raced to the hospital.
“So is it a boy or girl, Jo?” Warren asked and Alex knew that he was trying to keep Jo awake as her eyes flickered to the baby in his arms.
“A girl,” Jo said in a whisper as she glanced at them.
“That's, that's great,” Warren said with a little bit of a stutter and Alex saw something in his eyes, but before he could ask then spoke again. “You guys got any names in mind?”
“Charlotte,” Jo said, with a slight smile as she looked at their baby girl.
“Charlotte,” Alex repeated, he instantly loved the name and squeezed Jo’s hand before looking down at their daughter. “I like that too. What do you think, Charlotte?”
He looked back at Jo only to see that her eyes were closed. Alex waited for a heartbeat for them to open, he squeezed her hand, trying to prompt her to open her eyes and look at him or their daughter. Inside her heart rate dropped and his whole world dropped with it.

Joining station 19 and immediately connecting with everyone. You and Andy fall for each other hard and right before you two are going to confess the station gets a bad call where you get badly injured. You need blood so everyone gets tested to see if they are a match. Jack Gibson is and the doctor figures out that you and Jack are twins. Everyone is shocked. Especially Andy. Falling for your ex's long-lost twin sister is crazy. She ends up distancing herself away from the reader who gets hurt and confused. Maya can tell she is hurting herself while doing this. So she tells Andy that if she really cares about the reader then she shouldn't care that her and Jack are twins. Andy goes to the reader and explains herself. Then the two get together. Fluffy and angsty please?

Authors note: Very long story for my standards, and not proofread. I apologize if there are any grammatical errors! ♥
ᕚ---ᕘ
You slowly walked through the open gates of Station 19, your gaze focused, but a friendly smile played on your lips. The fire station, which was full of hectic activity, seemed to pause for a heartbeat at that moment as the eyes of everyone present were focused on you, who walked in with a confident step.
The new members of the team had seen many new faces come and go, but there was something about you that caught everyone's attention. Captain Bishop stepped forward first, offering you her hand with a gentle smile. "Welcome to Station 19, y/l/n. We're glad to have you here."
You shook her hand firmly and nodded happily before pulling away from her and looked around your new workplace. "Thank you, Captain. I'm excited to be a part of this team."
Maya gave you a little tour and led you through the station, introducing you to the other firefighters. The welcome was immediately warm, but when you met Andy Herrera you felt a special connection. Andy, the experienced lieutenant, looked directly at you and for a moment the world seemed to stand still for both of you. "Y/n, right? Nice to meet you."
"Yeah, exactly. And you're Andy, right?" you asked and she nodded at you, taking the friendly route to your new locker. It didn't take long for you to get along with everyone. You showed the team respect for their experience and knowledge of firefighting and impressed your new colleagues with your skills.
Over the next few weeks you became an integral part of the team. During the exercises you showed the full extent of your abilities, but what impressed the others was your dedication and your ability to keep a clear head in stressful situations. Your positive attitude and the way you interacted with those affected by fires infected everyone, and it seemed as if you had been a part of the station for years.
A close bond developed especially between Andy and you. You understood each other on a deeper level than words could express. The looks you exchanged spoke volumes, and it was as if you had found a common language that only existed between you.
In the quieter moments, you often found yourself near the emergency vehicle, deep in conversation. About your past, about your dreams and the challenge of the fire service. But despite the obvious and ever-growing attraction between you, neither dared to speak the words that were hiding in your hearts.
One evening, after a long mission, you sat on the edge of the station and looked out at the city at night. The silence between you was comfortable but also tense while the atmosphere between you was charged. “Y/n, can I ask you something?” She asked into the quiet, catching your eyes as you looked down at her from the city lights, lost in thought. You both tried to understand your own burgeoning feelings and put them into words. "Of course. Ask me anything you want."
Andy struggled with her words, not knowing how she wanted to express her feelings, and just as she was about to say a word and break the silence, she was interrupted by a loud alarm that echoed through the station. Everyone immediately jumped up when the emergency call went out.
"There's a major fire downtown! All hands on deck!" Maya Bishop shouted, the words piercing the air as the station filled with frantic activity. The Latina's confession was suddenly shattered by the reality of fire service. Without another word, you grabbed your gear and ran to the emergency vehicle.
The journey to the fire site passed in hurried silence. The sirens wailed as the images of the burning building grew closer and closer. When the emergency vehicle arrived on the scene, smoke billowed into the air and flames leaped wildly into the darkness. "Y/l/n, Herrera! You are responsible for floors 8-12. Clear the apartments!"
You quickly rushed into the burning building, working hand in hand and coordinating your actions while handing over your stay and condition to the team. The intensive cooperation and trust that had developed between you at the station was now put to the test. But it was precisely in this extreme situation that you found a remarkable synchronicity.
In the middle of the mission, as you tried to save lives and control the fire, Andy and you briefly looked into each other's eyes. At that moment, the flames around you seemed to disappear and time slowed down. It was like your emotions were about to explode in that intense moment. "Andy, there's something I really need to tell you."
"Later, y/n. Let's finish this first." the Latina's words were drowned out by a sudden, loud crash as part of the 10th floor structure collapsed. The floor was flooded with a blinding wave of heat, while screams and the crackling of the ravines merged into a deafening carpet of sound.
You jumped towards Andy to save her from the burning column of rubble that was rushing towards her amidst the chaos. But the heat wave hit you and you were thrown to the ground. Andy saw the scene in horror and picked herself up from the ground before immediately rushing to you. "Y/n! Can you hear me?!"
You could only nod weakly as deep pain pulsed through your body. "Captain, y/n is injured! I need medical attention immediately!" she shouted through the intercom, waiting as other colleagues arrived to fight the fire and rescue you from the rubble.
Your thoughts were heavily clouded by the stabbing pain, but in the midst of the agony and struggle with unconsciousness, you felt Andy holding your hand. "You'll get through this, you hear me? Stay with me!"
While Hughes and Warren took care of you and got you out, the fire was gradually brought under control by Andy, Gibson and Travis. But the emotional flames between Andy and you were brought to a new level by this dramatic incident in which you tried to save her life. The fire in the Latina's heart now burned not only with desire, but also with worry and the desire to be by your side forever.

The bright lights in the hospital waiting room were tense. Your entire team waited with worried faces for news about your health. The quiet hum of the lights and the muffled murmur of other waiting patients filling the room. "What's taking so damn long?!" fumed Andy, who was driven crazy by the long gap in knowledge without any further information about you.
Unbeknownst to them, your situation worsened when you were now lying awake in the examination room and had found out about the need for a blood transfusion when Doctor Meredith Gray determined through all the tests that you urgently needed a blood transfusion.
It was only when Meredith approached the group with a thin smile and wanted to share the news with them that Andy was able to breathe a sigh of relief, but her eyes were still filled with worry. "What's wrong with her? Will she be okay?" Victoria asked immediately, even before the blonde had fully entered the waiting room. "She was lucky in misfortune. A few broken ribs, injuries to her leg, but nothing that she can't overcome. However, she lost a lot of blood and therefore needs a blood transfusion."
The doctor's words echoed through the room and an unpleasant tension settled over those present, but after a brief period of shock, each of the firefighters volunteered to be tested for you.
After a good three quarters of an hour and a thorough examination of the seven samples, the surprising news came that was to give everyone another shocking piece of news that evening. This information would stick with Andy in particular for a long time. "I'm sorry, Lieutenant Herrera, but your blood is not compatible."
The confusion on her face was palpable, as she fervently hoped that she could save your life like you had done for her. Disappointment was reflected in her eyes, the uncertainty about what would happen next hung heavily in the air. "What? That can't be right. I have to be compatible. Test it again!"
"We've already tested it and there's no match. It looks like Jack has the right blood type, though," a brief moment of silence followed as Meredith fiddled with her tablet to double-check. that she recited the correct bullet points that she had discovered. "A genetic hit, even. You can donate immediately."
Shocked looks passed between each team member and Jack as the realization of the family connection sank in and he nodded without hesitation and made himself available. Andy's gaze lingered on him longer than usual, her brow furrowed as she bit her lip and folded her arms under her chest. The doctor's words struck her like a thunderclap, shattering her reality. "Both of you...siblings? That's impossible!"
"It seems so, Andy. Genetic testing seems to have confirmed it. I didn't know myself." Gibson spoke cautiously, the only one knowing that the Latina had had feelings for you for weeks. The revelation left a bitter taste in the air between Andy and Jack. The confusion in her eyes betrayed not only the surprise at the unexpected family connection, but also the fact that Jack Gibson, a former ex of hers, was now identified as your brother. The silence was broken by a heavy sigh as Andy voiced her thoughts. "That can't be right. You and me, we were..."
Jack interrupted immediately, holding his hands to his chest in a calming gesture. "Andy, I didn't know. I swear. But now we're all here to help y/n. We can sort this out later."
You could feel the tension between them both, and the situation suddenly became much more complicated in Andy's eyes than ever before. Andy's thoughts about her feelings for you were overshadowed by the newfound sibling relationship. The feeling of uncertainty spread through her and she didn't know how to deal with this unexpected turn of events.
The dynamics within the team had changed, and the revelation of familial ties not only upset blood relationships, but also brought with it a flood of emotions that were difficult for Andy to handle as Jack was prepared for the blood transfusion and the other firefighters remained in the waiting room, their minds still dominated by the surprising information.
During the transfusion, Andy continued to sit in the waiting room, her eyes wandering between hope and worry. She couldn't ignore the sudden siblinghood and felt that something had fundamentally changed in her life. It set off a chain reaction of emotions that were difficult to process.
After the successful transfusion, Jack entered the waiting room again and the eyes of the others turned to him. "How did it go? Were you able to donate the blood she needed?"
The young man just nodded tiredly and sat down on one of the chairs next to Maya. She gave him a gentle tap on the shoulder, expressing her gratitude for the help and support. "Y/n is stable. The transfusion went well. She will be fine."
A sigh of relief filled the room, but the tension remained. Andy, still torn between emotions and uncertainty, didn't know how to deal with the new reality and you in general. Your hospital stay had revealed not only physical wounds, but also emotional ones that had developed between both of you.
ᕚ---ᕘ
In the days and weeks that followed this revelation, you felt a noticeable change in Andy's behavior towards you as you returned to duty. The usual closeness and familiarity between you seemed to have been broken by an invisible barrier and you didn't quite understand why. The Latina avoided long conversations and your gaze as if she was looking for distance.
You tried to understand the change, but every attempt to talk to Andy about it was met with a cool reserve. Even the small gestures of connection you had previously shared seemed to fade. You could see a look of confusion and uncertainty in Andy's eyes every time she looked at you.
One day you couldn't take it anymore and confronted her, blurting out your emotional distress. "Andy, can you finally fucking talk to me? I don't even know what your freaking problem is. You've been so incredibly distant to me since I was in the hospital and I don't understand why!"
Andy froze when she heard your vulgar pronunciation for the first time and hesitated in her answer for a moment before lowering her gaze. She had to find an excuse. Some excuse that didn't involve her feelings for you. "Everything is so messed up right now! And it has nothing to do with you, but with me."
"That's what they all always say, and basically it has something to do with you. You know what? If you don't want to talk, fine. Then leave it like that and drag our friendship through the mud!" You spat and Andy sighed as she took a step back, even though she just wanted to be close to you. "I'm sorry, y/n, but it's all just too much right now. I need time alone to process some things."
You could see the clear pain in her eyes. Your words left a painful chasm between you that you couldn't ignore. The situation crumbled the delicate structure of your relationship and your attempt to save your connection through another conversation had failed hopelessly.
With a heavy heart, you accepted her answer and disappeared from her surroundings, completely ignoring her from now on. In the time that followed, the distance between you both grew even greater, and the uncertainty put a strain on your work together as partners.
While the Latina tried to process the complexity of the situation, you were left alone with your physical and emotional injuries.
That same evening, after a tiring day on Station 19, where she saw you in every corner of her existence and her heart ached, the brunette looked for some distraction in a nearby bar. The dim lighting and quiet murmurs of the guests created a relaxed atmosphere that helped her sort out her inner turmoil. She sat at the bar all alone, her gaze absently fixated on the glass of whiskey in front of her.
The captain, Maya Bishop, also entered the bar with Carina, and immediately noticed the thoughtful expression on her best friend's face. The bad mood taking over her aura. They ran straight up to her and sat down next to her, the Italian woman already ordering their drinks for the two of them. "Hey, Andy. Are you okay? Where's y/n?"
Andy looked up, a shadow of uncertainty and sadness in her eyes, as the light of the bar began to glitter in her moist eyes. "Hey, Maya. It's... complicated."
The blonde nodded in understanding, sipped the beer she had just received and leaned on the bar before she revealed her observations of the last few days. "I've noticed you've been withdrawing from her lately. Are you still worried about the sibling thing?"
She hesitated for a moment before nodding slightly. Maya gently placing a hand on her upper arm. "Andy, I can see that you're both really upset about what's happening between you right now. But you can't just cut ties with y/n just because Jack is her brother."
She hummed, took a long sip from her glass, and looked thoughtfully at the wall. "I don't know how to deal with it. It's all so complicated.
"I understand that this is all complicated. But don't you think you're hurting yourself by distancing yourself from her? You both have something special and it would be a shame to give that up because of external circumstances."
"But Maya, they're siblings. That's just too much." Andy sighed again, her thoughts seeming to race before her eyes and mine seemed to see a hint of understanding in them. "Yes, it's unusual and complicated. But if you really want to fight for yourself and your connection, you shouldn't let something like this stop you. You love her, that's clearly out of the question. That's what matters ."
Andy's gaze shifted to her best friend as she took in her words. A moment of silence followed before the Latina finally realized the truth. "You're right, Maya. I shouldn't let these circumstances destroy what is between us."
Maya smiled encouragingly and picked up her bottle. A gentle smile also appeared on the brunette's lips and she also pulled out her glass before drinking it down. "I'll get her back. This evening!"
"Exactly, fight for what's important to you. And if you really love her, then don't let something as unimportant as this sister/brother thing destroy that."
The two women sat in silence with Carina for a while, Andy's thoughts swirling around as the bar around them filled with buzz and laughter. In that moment, she began to realize that perhaps it was time to overcome her own doubts and fight for what her heart truly desired.
ᕚ---ᕘ
Night had fallen over the city when Andy stood in front of your apartment building. The night enveloped the streets in an impenetrable darkness as a light rain began to bathe them in a shiny pattern. Maya's words had touched a chord within her, and the urge to find clarity in all the chaos drove her to take the step.
She stormed across the street with hasty steps, the rain lashing against her skin and the cold breeze emphasizing her fear of what she was about to say. Her heart pounded against her chest as she entered the building and climbed the stairs to your apartment. A nervous tingle ran through her limbs as she stood in front of the door. She took a deep breath before tapping her shaking hands vigorously against the wood.
After a moment of listening intently to the footsteps coming from the apartment, you opened the door, surprised to see Andy in this upset state. Your eyes met and the tension between you was palpable. "What are you doing here so late at night?"
"Can I come in?" She asked, completely ignoring your question. You nodded and opened the door wider, your forehead furrowed slightly. She entered the apartment, her soaking wet hair dripping all over the floor while the silence enveloped you like an invisible veil with unsaid words. "Y/n, I.. I can't carry this around any longer. I need to explain something to you."
You sensed the seriousness in her voice and nodded, leading her into your small but cozy apartment. "What's wrong? Did something happen to you on the way here?"
Andy hesitated for a moment before taking a deep breath and saying the words that were trapped inside her. "I've distanced myself from you and I know it hurt you a lot. I was afraid of the whole sibling thing and it confused me about Jack being your brother and our past. But Maya opened my eyes. I can't just let this ruin everything between us."
You listened intently, shifting your gaze from the floor to watching her. Her expression was a mix of confusion and hope. "I felt it and it hurt me deeply not knowing what was going on. The distance in particular was... intense."
"I'm sorry, I really am. But now I'm here to make it right." There was a moment of silence between you before she locked her gaze back into yours. Andy took a deep breath and walked towards you, placing her hand gently on your cheek. "Y/n, I can't hide this any longer. I love you. No matter what happened between us or who our relatives are, I can't deny how I feel for you."
You looked at her and in that moment the insecurities and fears seemed to fade away. Feeling a pang of surprise in your chest, a warm feeling of joy followed and a smile crossed your face. A glimmer of tears glistened in your eyes as her words hung in the air.
"Andy, I love you too. And no matter what life has in store for us, I want to try and share it with you."
The words barely had time to sink in before your lips met in a passionate kiss. A flood of emotions flowed through you as you finally found each other - the uncertainty gave way to the certainty that your love was stronger than any external influence or challenge. The tensions of the past few weeks melted away.
Your apartment seemed to fill with the intensity of your feelings and a hint of romance and warmth. The world around you melted into a blurry background. In that moment you had found what you were looking for. As the night progressed, you stepped hand in hand into a future together, ready to face any challenge and nurture the love that was stronger than any insecurities. You two had found something special in each other.

Andy is sitting at the captain’s office, reading through a binder with all the necessary information. She has probably read through it a thousand times already, having spent so much time at the station, but she wants to be sure now that she officially got the title of captain of Station 19.
However, she can’t seem to concentrate, as someone’s eyes are stuck to her face. “You’re staring.” She mumbles, trying to sound annoyed, but she can’t hide the smile growing to her lips.
“I’m just so proud of my girlfriend.” Y/N gushes with a wide smile. She’s sitting opposite of Andy, her legs resting on top of the table.
Shaking her head, Andy closes the binder and sets it down, meeting Y/N’s gaze. They smile, staring at each other in silence, until Y/N starts giggling. “My girlfriend is the captain!” She stands up, holding her arms in the air as she celebrates.
Andy laughs. In truth, she is just as excited as Y/N is, even though she hasn’t really grasped the whole situation yet. They weren’t able to properly celebrate when Andy found out she’d be the captain, so all the happiness has been piling up.
Shimmying over to Andy, Y/N leans her hands to the side’s of the chair, so her face is right by her girlfriend. “You are the captain.” She whispers. “This has always been your station, but now it’s official.” Her bottom lip is under her teeth as she grins. “I’m so proud of you.”
Andy sets her hands on Y/N’s cheeks. She pulls her close, kissing her softly. They’re smiling as their lips mold together, moving in sync.
Y/N sits down to Andy’s lap. It’s bit of a struggle to fit her legs because of the armrests, but she manages. It’s not the tightest fit they has made work. “I love you.” Y/N leans her forehead against Andy’s. Her eyes are closed as she breathes in and out slowly, enjoying the warmth of being so close to her.
“I love you more.” Andy’s eyes map out Y/N’s features. She has never seen something as beautiful.
“Hmm,” she shakes her head with a giggle, “I don’t think so.”
Andy pinches Y/N’s thigh, making her open her eyes with a yelp. “I’m the captain,” Andy smirks as her hands move to Y/N’s hip, “what I say goes.”
Raising her brows, Y/N looks up at the roof, her cheeks getting warm. Obviously she has always found her girlfriend incredibly attractive, especially after she comes home, wearing her firefighter uniform. But now that she has a new sense of authority, her attractiveness level has somehow gone through the roof.
She starts laughing at Y/N’s expression, wrapping her arms around her waist and setting her forehead on Y/N’s shoulder. “Lets go home and cuddle.” Andy mumbles, tiredness hitting her.
“Yeah.” Y/N places a kiss on top of Andy’s head before standing up, and helping her up as well. They gather all their things, leaving the station hand in hand.

Congratulation...Captain?
Chapter 9
Palm trees, turquoise beaches and pure joie de vivre. Twice as beautiful at sunrise. When you arrive at Puerto Rico's only international airport, you both take your luggage and leave the airport's main gate together.
"oh-my-god" is the first thing that comes to mind and bursts out of you. "wow this is amazing, palm trees everywhere and the temperature is fantastic!" you say and Andy can't help but look at you happily. "ok then? where is the journey taking you? haha i mean i can't run away anymore, i'm your prisoner on the island now" you look guilty, and andy laughs.
"we're taking a rental car, first we're heading towards Fajardo. We'll explore the whole island!" Andy waves a car key provocatively and your gaze falls right behind you.
A white GTA Spano is waiting just a few meters away from the two of you. "eeehm....Andy!?"
"yes...?" Andy opens the side of the door for you. "t...that's a monster!" You look at her with wide eyes.
"don't worry, the only one who bites here is me." she grins cheekily and you blink stupidly, only to enter in complete disbelief. "a...all right, andy I haven't put any money aside for my funeral yet" you look at her nervously as she gets in but all andy does is put on her sunglasses, which only makes the situation hotter, and she starts the engine.
"ok ok so how..... long does this baby need to get to 100...?" Andy plays with the engine sound.
"less than three seconds..."
You immediately start sweating and reflexively hold on to something. "don't worry, it's not the first time I've driven a baby like this" you were just about to say something when Andy drives off. "Did I already say that I love you? i...if I die then you've heard it now" Andy just laughs and accelerates a little more. "Tell me, how fast can he actually drive?" You've only just calmed down a bit when Andy puts the car into the next gear.
"let's just find out"
Before you can say anything, it pushes you back into your seat. The road is clear and Andy continues to accelerate while the car purrs dutifully.
"I know the island inside out" Andy drives a good 190 km/h and hesitates for a moment.
"Andy?" you look at her nervously and look straight ahead to see that the road is straight as a die.
"Andy...no...n-" She presses the gas pedal and the car accelerates to almost 340 km/h in a few seconds. "Andy I swear if I die I'll kill you!" Just a little later, she slows down as the road becomes more winding. You both stop at a traffic light, both look at the road and laugh at the same moment. "That was awesome!" Andy gives you a cheeky look and finally drives on. When you arrive, you park in a large front garden with a mosaic stone path. You can't miss the huge villa, which has a huge garden with a maze and pool. "Let's put our stuff away first, then we can go for something to eat." Andy opens the double door and you enter a huge, beautiful hallway with a chandelier.
"oh my god Andy...but...how can you pay for this?"
"let's put it this way. I have a few people i know here" Andy smirks, comes over to you and kisses you passionately. You stow your luggage in the bedroom and go out onto the balcony to enjoy the pool and the different fauna.
You go back into the room and see Andy on her cell phone. "hey...judging by your face, it must have something to do with the 19. Get rid of it! We want to switch off" You go to her, hug her and kiss her neck very gently, eliciting a soft moan from her. "ok ok..stop!" Andy takes you by the shoulders and looks you in the eye.
"Eat! It's almost lunchtime and we haven't eaten since we arrived." You nod. "Do you have any idea where we can go for lunch?"
"So while we're here we should try some specialties. I know a lot of them, my mom also always cooked them." Your eyes are shining. "I'll definitely come back to Seattle with a hundred pounds more" you laugh and finally sit down in the Spano again. "There's a great Puerto Rican chef nearby. He makes one of my favorite dishes!"
When you arrive, sit down outside in one of the more secluded alleyways with a view down towards the beach.
"What would you recommend?" you look at her excitedly. "Mofongo and sorullos for dessert"
"I have no idea what that is, but I have to try it!"
"And two pina coladas to drink" Andy calls the waitress.
You order, enjoy the view and when the food finally arrives you look at Andy in disbelief after the first bite. "wow, that's awesome!"
"Are you tired?" Andy and you walk down to the beach after eating. "hm...maybe a little, but we can still do something else." You take her by the hand and smile shyly. "let's go to the beach" Andy smiles in love and the two of you walk along the beach together. "Is it weird for you to walk with me by the hand?" you don't look at her and Andy smiles slightly. "Never, it's... unusual but it doesn't bother me in any way." You breathe a sigh of relief, which doesn't go unnoticed by Andy, who suddenly pushes you against the wall of the house. "I kiss you in public too and it..." she comes so close to you that you can feel her breath on your lips while her eyes keep switching between your eyes and your lips. "...I don't care what others think...no matter how new it is for me. I love you and you are incredibly important to me..." You gasp at her words and can't help but kiss her lovingly. She clasps your hands tightly, lets go of one and continues walking with you on one hand towards the beach.
Once you arrive at the beach, you take off your shoes and enjoy the warm afternoon sunshine. "I used to come here a lot with my father, visit friends and just relax. But he was always thinking about 19, it was always on his mind. It was hard for him to relax.... just like it's hard for me now...19 is my home. I grew up there, I know everything about this station. I've seen people grow up with that station and now they're veterans at their jobs. That's where I want to be. Unbelievable that it almost burned down." Andy stops and looks into the emptiness of the ocean. "hey...it happened, but everything will be rebuilt. you'll stay captain and things will go back to normal." you give her a kiss on the cheek.
"If the department doesn't blame me for what happened. It's been my job to keep a cool head..."
"Yes, but these were events that you could never influence. We will deal with them if necessary" Andy was just about to say something when you both heard a terrible scream. A woman is running with a lifeless child in her arms and keeps calling for help.
"Oh god Andy!" You both don't hesitate and immediately run to the woman and Andy picks up the child, puts it on the floor and feels for a pulse.
"Señora, ¿qué ha pasado?" (Lady what happened?) Andy says tense.
"Se ha metido una piedra en la boca, quería sacársela pero ya se la ha tragado, ¡oh dios por favor ayúdale!". (He put a stone in his mouth, I wanted to get it out but he's already swallowed it, oh god please help him!)
"¡Todavía tengo un ligero pulso!" (Still got a slight pulse!) Andy picks up the boy, uses the Heimlich and doesn't give up while the mother starts to hyperventilate. You try to calm her down while Andy continues to try to clear the boy's airways.
"damn the stone must be too deep!" Andy takes him by the legs, lets him hang down and keeps tapping hard on the child's back and miraculously the stone finally falls out of his throat. He coughs hard and starts to cry, which makes Andy and you breathe a sigh of relief. The first responders, who you had also called in the meantime, arrive immediately.
"¡que dios os proteja y os de las gracias por siempre! ¡muchas gracias, sin vosotros habría tenido que enterrar a mi propio hijo!" (may god protect you and thank you forever! thank you so much, without you I would have had to bury my own son!) The first responders are impressed and take care of the little boy. The mother hugs Andy and you exuberantly.
"no hay problema... todo lo mejor para ambos" (no problem...all the best to you both)
Andy smiles caringly and you say goodbye. "phew...wow...great performance Captain?" you look at her proudly. "Stop it.." Andy smiles embarrassedly and turns towards the sea.
"Children...are full of surprises. That's why I never wanted any," you say without thinking, amused, but Andy unconsciously flinches at your words. "You...don't want children?"
"Well, I never really thought about it. I don't have great experience with them. And you?" You look at Andy curiously. "So...well with the right partner maybe" Andy's eyes avoid yours. "OK, what's going on. You look like something is going on" you sit down on the sand and enjoy the warm Caribbean wind. "I was once pregnant by a boyfriend at the time. We had been together for a while but the circumstances just weren't right. I...aborted it. I never told him anything about it because if Ryan had wanted it, I wouldn't have it managed to abort..."
"wow..ok. kind of understandable." you let sand trickle between your fingers. "I'm captain now. I just can't think about it at the moment, but it's never out of the question." You look at her thoughtfully and take a deep breath. "Okay, well, if you're sure you want children then why not? You could stay as captain and I could carry the baby. But that's a topic later." You clean your hands.
You both stand up and smile lovingly at each other. You feel something in Andy's eyes that you've never felt from her before, but you can't place it. "i...is everything ok Andy...?"
"yes, everything's fine. we should go back slowly. it'll be dark soon. tomorrow we'll go hiking" you watch her and pause for a moment, the aura that surrounds Andy feels strange, then you run after her.
Back at the villa you sit on the balcony with some tea when Andy comes over and keeps you company. "First day here and already such an action today" you laugh quietly and Andy joins in. "yes, true" Andy drinks her tea, stands up in front of you and tenderly takes your hand. "let's go inside" She slowly leads you to your bedroom, stands in front of you and cups your face with one hand. "You...have been so stubborn..." a kiss on your neck follows. "I? More like..you" You enjoy her touch and inhale sharply. She gently pushes you onto the bed and unzips her robe. "We should really celebrate our arrival here..." Andy teases you with her look.
-----------18+ RAW SMUT (if u wanna skip, feel free and skip to the next chapter)-------
She lets her bathrobe slide off her body. You want to sit up but she leans down towards you and prevents you from moving. She opens your robe as well.
"I'm your captain...you have to obey..." She looks at you teasingly and pins you to the bed by holding your hands, kisses your neck and places delicate kisses all over it. You whimper under each one and get goosebumps all over your body. "Andy....." your vision blurs and your breathing becomes faster. She moves down to your chest, places dirty kisses everywhere, marks every single spot on your body. She lets go of your hands, moves down even deeper and stops right at the sensitive middle between your thighs. She gently strokes her fingers over your clit, kisses it which causes you to reach into her hair out of reflex.
Andy suddenly slows down every single movement which makes you look at her begging.
"Que pasa..?" (what's wrong...?) Andy asks, looking at you teasingly.
"Don't stop...please..." you beg softly, looking at her pathetically. Andy cheekily raises an eyebrow.
"I don't know you like that... begging the captain like that..." She leans down and kisses you, at the same time slowly and carefully slipping one of her fingers inside you. You moan in aggravation and cling tightly to Andy.
"I'm sure there's more..." Andy speeds up her pace a little, making your breathing more ponderous until you moan in an ungodly tone, while you are melting under her sweet breath. Lots of little electric shocks go through your body as you feel yourself almost reaching your limit, Andy continues, nibbling your neck and inserting a second finger. "A...Andy...keep going" You squint your eyes and put your hands over your mouth as you start to moan, but Andy stops you as she holds your hands tightly and you groan out loud.
Andy smiles contentedly and lies down next to you while you struggle to breathe. "ooof... that was wild... pretty naughty of you" You turn and snuggle up to her. "You know that screams revenge," you smile darkly. "mmh...is that the way to talk to your captain....?"
"maybe I don't just want to talk..." you suddenly sit on top of her, holding her tight this time and looking at her challengingly. Your hand wanders between her thighs. "mmh... well, captain. you're pretty impatient, aren't you?" Andy looks at you silently as she bites her lower lip to hold back a moan.
"no...equal rights for all!" You kiss Andy directly on the mouth, so she can no longer suppress a moan, while you start to stroke your fingers more tenderly on her sensitive middle.
The two of you spend almost the whole night making love, turning it into a competition until one of you can't take it anymore and finally gives up.
AN: oops...what just happend here? Sounds almost like a small honeymoon. This was the first Part of the Puerto Rico Trip. Next chapter will also be longer.

Hello lovely’s!🤍 This is my first EVER fanfic post. It has taken me a long time to work up the courage to post it. @oneshotnewbie gave me a lot of confidence after reading it. She has amazing stories and if someone that creative and passionate says she likes my lil one shot I have to post it! Hope the few of you who read it enjoy :) if this one does well I have a second one which is similar to this one!
You’re Maya’s little sister who’s a part of the swim team. Maya is starting to realise your father will never change. Little does Maya know, he’s gotten worse.
⚠️TW mentions abuse/suicide⚠️
Your first swim practice of the season is finally here. All summer you’ve been training at the community pool with your dad. Although you’re tired from the pressure he put on you, You’re glad you are at a slight advantage. Today a little bit of weight was lifted because your dad wasn’t there.
“Okay, Ladies that wraps practice. Please take these forms on your way out. We have a swim meet 2 weeks from now, Seattle Cancer Swim. It’s not only to raise money for cancer, it also earns you a spot on the varsity swim team. Oh, Y/N your dad is here”
Every time your dad comes to the pool you knew that it meant extended practice. Depending on your performance the practice could be an extra hour or several hours. You went to the changing room to get a drink of water. You hear your phone buzzing. It’s your sister. “Hey Gup, why is Dad’s car here are you not coming to our place for the weekend?” You always go to Carina and Maya’s for the weekend. It’s a safe space.
“Extended practice.” Maya knows too well about extended practices. You weren’t on the phone long because your dad hates to be kept waiting.
It has been 2 extra hours and you are starting to get so tired you can’t keep up. You start to get out of the pool with the smallest amount of energy you have. “Excuse me little girl, where do you think you’re going?” without turning to look at him you firmly stated you were going to the changing room. Before you knew it you were getting yanked back into the pool. The water hits you like lightning. When you came to the surface, struggling to stay afloat you made your way to the edge and help on. you hear fighting on the deck of the pool.
Maya had come in and watched the whole interaction between you and your father go down. This is the first time they have seen each other in months. “Y/N get out and get dressed we are leaving.” Maya wasn’t letting Lane towards you. You can’t really hear everything being exchanged between them from the water in your ears and the rage in your body.
<->
You were back at Maya and Carinas. The three of you are having dinner and it is so quiet you can almost hear the words on the neighbour’s TV. “Com'è andata la giornata, amore?”
Maya didn’t say much. Carina’s face read confused with her eyebrow raised. She moved on to you with the question. You said your day was fine while looking at Maya but she wasn’t convinced. “Okay, what is going on you two are usually non-stop talking. What happened today.” Carina demanded answers
“Carina, we are just tired. Today was busy and she had a long swim practice.” Maya tried getting Carina off your back, but you murmured with a slight laugh “Yeah, Long swim practice with an asshole.”
“Y/N enough.” Maya knows how much of an ass their dad can be, he’s still their father. Maya wants to keep it civil. You aren’t having any of it.
“Enough? Easy for you to say. You’re not around. You don’t live with him. All I ever hear from you is how Dad only wants what’s best for us. How is abusing us best?” You go to excuse yourself from the table but Maya stops you in your tracks
“Without him I wouldn’t have my Med-” Maya tries to get her sentence out but you stop her “You can shove your medal. Thanks to you and your stupid medal he has such a higher expectation for me.” You shove the chair into the dining room table and go straight to the guest room. You slam the door and your room is where you sit, silent for the next few hours
<->
You’re sitting in a chair pushed in front of the windows. Watching the trees get tossed around in the strong wind with the occasional lighting strike. You don’t even realise how long you’ve been sitting there. You’ve been too concentrated on speaking your mind to Maya at dinner to notice Carina opening the door. Carina walks around the back of the chair and sets a plate in your lap. “here Bella, you didn’t finish your dinner.”
You gave her a smile and she left the room. Not long after Maya knocked on the door and slowly opens it. This time you’re in your bed you turn to look away from her.
“I’m sorry Gup.” You could tell Maya meant it from the heart. Which shattered yours. Maya wasn’t one for apologies. Growing up she was always hard-headed.
“You know, when mom left dad for that very short period of time, it was just him and I?” the look on your sister’s face was clear; she had no idea. “I didn’t know they were separated. She just left and one day she came back as if nothing happened. Maya, I had no one. You have Carina and the entire station.” You tried to keep the tears from falling from your eyes but the bright blue eyes looking at you broke you. You know that Maya has been having a hard time but you can’t excuse the lack of support from your family. “I can’t be with Dad anymore.” your voice starts to crack while explaining things that have been going on. “I’m not trying to make you feel bad Maya but if I’m struggling this much at 14. Who’s to say I’ll even make it to 15.”
Maya put her arm around you and pulled you in close. You both were crying. Your eyes meet Maya “Y/N, you are right. I haven’t been the big sister I should be. I have actually thought about you a lot recently, Carina and I would like to offer a permanent place for you here. Please don’t think about what dad will do. We will figure it out.”
You hugged your sister tight and all you could say was Thank You.
