people who still make Joey the ink demon despite canon steering far away from that being the case this is for you I am sending u kisses XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO <3
People who make Joey well-meaning, sympathetic, a lighter shade of morally grey than canon I am also sending u lots of love <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3!!
And people who generally steer wildly from the direction Bendy takes with its characters and has fun with it I hope to see more from all of ur aus and rewrites!!
#ramblez#batim#batdr#this is not me saying aus that don't do this r bad blah blah I just personally have a super soft spot for Joey being the ink demon#since I really like the idea storywise the symbolism of Joey becoming the ultimate monster of this story#joeys who also take a very sympathetic role who are more morally grey than canon also hold a special place in my heart#joeys who think what theyre doing is right not just for them but for their staff who genuinely care abt them who love them mwah#I just love to see very unique takes on these characters I kinda miss when it was only like chapter 2 so everyone had this wildly#different but very unique and fun takes on where we thought the story would head hell for a while we didn't know if Joey was evil or not#thats what spawned Encore it was originally just a collection of theories I thought would come true#esp since I dont think bendy is a particularly well written story its fun to see the fandom have such fun wild ideas on where to take#the concepts and idea presented in bendy that never really panned out into anything interesting or were discarded or retconned#yknow? I miss the days where the aus were wildly out of sync with the actual story when all we had was a few names a few tapes#and we all went wild making our versions of the story and characters and then got so attached to them we doubled down#when canon didnt deliver on em#umm oops this is long have a great new year folks! Get wild get weird with ur bendy aus and rewrites#lets have fun this year and take canon as optional bc lets face it Bendy isn't great but man is it fun and I care abt that way more than#the quality of the story tbh#it had great ideas and executed them uh badly! But idc bc I can stir those great ideas in my head all day and see others do the same <3#anyways yeah thats it love ya guys have a great 2024 <3

The Mishandling of LO’s S3 Mi(n)season Hiatus - Part 3 1/2
Here we go, Part 3 of my analysis of the current FP episodes - a three-parter episode set leading up to the midseason finale of LO.
Part 1
Part 2
Truth is, I had actually forgotten a lot of the weird (and very stupid) shit that happened in this episode, that I thought Episodes 251 and 252 had already offered up the worst that this three parter set could dish out. Boy, was I wrong, because when I went back to check out Episode 253, I was reminded of a reality that my brain had wiped out in an attempt to protect my withering psyche-
I also forgot just how long this episode is. It's so long that I frankly can't even fit it all into this post, so this is gonna be part 3 1/2.
Anyways, let's just get on with it. This is the final stop on our trip into absolute nonsense.
CAUTION: THIS IS PART 3 OF A 3 PART SERIES IN WHICH I WILL BE SPOILING MUCH OF EPISODES 251-253. THIS WILL BE A LONG POST. BRACE YOURSELF.
Well, it's the midseason finale, and what better way to open it up than with the final title card-
Tumblr media
Typo and all. It wouldn't be an LO episode without one. Granted, IIRC this typo has been edited out, but the version of the screenshots I have from it feature it in all its original unedited glory. So enjoy that.
And yes, just like the last two times, the title itself only applies to the final cliffhanger, which is an absolute doozy especially for those who were there to experience it in real time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is already a bit of a wild opening compared to the last two episodes, but it's quickly revealed that this is laying the foundation for the prophecy that Psyche gave to Apollo back in Episode 252. In true LO fashion, the story can't actually be linear in any regard, we're always segmented from pieces of information at a time. Loyal fans will call this a "writing style", I call it Rachel just trying to get another 70 cents out of me.
That said, I will say the art here is fairly decent, but I think that just goes to show that LO's one of worst features these days - ironically enough - is its coloring. What began as its strongest feature has now become one of its biggest weaknesses due to the sheer laziness in its rendering and the colors become more and more saturated into the grotesque over time. So at this point, you pretty much have to rob these characters of their colors to make them look decent, and of course at that point it just further highlights Rachel's same-face problems. She definitely tried to make them look distinguishable here, at least, with Hestia and Poseidon being the most unique.
Tumblr media
Now, this isn't the first time that we've heard of this herb being referenced - it was stated by Hades that Hera was the one to originally poison Kronos with the herb after gaining his trust - but to see it suddenly just pop up and play a role again out of nowhere already gives me a bad feeling in my stomach. It feels like yet another plot device - especially when presented in this type of format - that Rachel is suddenly using to try and seem "unique" in her writing, much like the strange narration we got back during the "Run For Your Life" sequence. It's just once again LO lacking any specific identity, it's always trying to be a million other things at once.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I will say, much of this in and of itself is panel filler. Why? Because the location of the herb doesn't matter. You'll see what I mean in a moment, but the mentioning of Anthedon plays no role here, it's just yet another obligatory "see, I know how to Google things!" lip service moment from Rachel "self-proclaimed folklorist" Smythe.
Anyways, Eros is perplexed by this but Psyche immediately catches on, knowing right away that Apollo is going for Zeus. And this is where we get yet another one of the dumbest sequences in this comic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(see what I mean that the location of the herb doesn't matter? Because Apollo already got it and laced it into the cupcake).
Now, first of all, the fact that Eros and Psyche believe Kassandra's prophecy is already hilarious in and of itself, because ... well, because it literally defeats the point of her establishing it as a curse in the previous episode. Unless it only works on mortals? It never stated as such, so we literally just have to go with it and pretend not to notice that.
But most of all, of course LO had to play this off as some joke. Like, "hahaha how awkward! I've already eaten the cupcake!" and he still doesn't seem to really be in shock. Zeus has seen what this herb has done to gods before him, and yet his reaction to this is akin to a dad getting upset that he stepped LEGO's that he asked his kid 20 times to pick up off the floor. The whole "record scratch" style formatting of this followed by Zeus' lack of reaction just really makes me not care about any of this, because clearly the story doesn't care either.
But we don't see who he makes these calls to because the comic, of course, can't spend any longer than 10 panels on a single scene, so we cut to Hades and Persephone.
Tumblr media
Again, I don't know what the point was of having Hera relay this information to Persephone for her to relay to Hades, aside from the fact that Rachel needed to act smart with Therapy Speak that didn't even apply to Hera's situation (as we talked about in the last part). They gotta make Persephone the center of everyone's world though, so it's Persephone who's delivering this info and trying to come up with the solution.
Hades, though, wants to focus on his wife's birthday the commemoration of spring.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SIR. THE WOMAN YOU WERE IN AN AFFAIR WITH SINCE BEFORE YOUR WIFE WAS BORN IS CURRENTLY GRAPPLING WITH YOUR FATHER WHO ABUSED HER AND IS NOW HAUNTING HER. THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR FLUFFY ROMANCE TIME. THERE IS A CHILD BEING HELD CAPTIVE IN TARTARUS AND LITERALLY NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE.
Anyways, apparently (for some reason) Hades is the one who has to go meet Demeter out front. Even though Hades has literally NOTHING to do with this ceremony, it's not his domain, but Persephone literally says "yep, that's correct" when he asks if he needs to go out to meet Demeter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This just feels like such a pointless conversation and I don't get what the point of this exact exchange is. Again, this isn't Hades' domain, so I don't see why he needs to be the one to go meet with Demeter.
But then, of course, to make matters worse, this man has the absolute audacity to pretend like he's never done anything wrong to Demeter. As if she should be obligated to be cool with sharing a bench with this man who literally terrorized her for years and then essentially groomed her daughter.
Tumblr media
I hate him so fucking much and I can't believe we're supposed to be rooting for him. He has not undergone ANY of the character development necessary for me to want to care about him.
Anyways, Hades has a seat with Demeter, and the conversation is very brief before Hades says that he has a gift for her. And what is it, exactly?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh great, Hades. Sure wish you would have had this consideration hundreds of years ago. I fail to see what good this does for her now because it doesn't change the fact that he still cost her the role of Queen of the Mortal Realm and treated her like shit for hundreds of years. This comes across as such a shallow and empty "apology" because it's barely even a "gift", rather something she was OWED back then that he didn't want to hand over for his own selfish reasons. He still comes out the winner here because he's gotten to spend thousands of years being a rich slave-driving oligarch while Demeter has had to maintain the Mortal Realm on her own even without the glory of having a title.
Tumblr media
I especially detest this "twist" because it's less of a twist and Rachel finally accepting the fact she couldn't come up with anything better than what her fans had to come up with for her. If this had been the fact the whole time, we would have seen it established back when we first got those flashbacks showing Hades being a total prick to her over the volcanoes. Instead, Rachel dragged it out for weeks and weeks until finally dumping this "twist" that her fans had been talking about all that time. This is yet another one of those "Rachel used her fanbase to come up with her ideas" moments. I know that that seems a little mean and presumptuous, but the fact of the matter is that the writing in this story is such an absolute mess that you just know Rachel's writing by the seat of her pants and has to rely on her audience's headcanons to actually fill in the gaps of her story. Most of the time when people commend her for the "great storytelling" in LO, what they're referring to are things they came up with entirely on their own because of how easy it is to just make assumptions about LO's storyline. Rachel benefits off the story being as vague as possible because then her fanbase will fill in the gaps with their own assumptions and give her all the credit for an idea they came up with.
By the way, to the "self-proclaimed folklorist" who wrote this, the volcanoes were really just entrances into the Underworld. Hades did not own them. They were owned by Hephaestus. And I would argue that the volcanoes were only seen as "entrances" into the Underworld because, fun fact - if you jump into a volcano, you die!
Tumblr media
Hades frames his reasoning as feeling like Demeter was pushing him out of the Mortal Realm, but this makes no sense because none of that is on her. He claims that he felt like an "outsider" but the reality is that he made himself that way. He resigned himself to being King of the Underworld, he ate the pomegranate and made the deal with Erebus, and even he stated that he could still actually leave the Underworld, just not for long periods of time. So he was the only one keeping himself away from the Mortal Realm, not Demeter. We even see that in the VHS tape flashbacks where Hades stumbles onto Demeter's property and she lets him sleep it off in her home. So this whole sob story about how he felt "pushed out" by Demeter is such a bad take from someone who's routinely known to make himself out to be the victim. Because Hades can't have an actual reputation for a reason, no, this is a "retelling" told by someone who got all their Greek myth info off Tumblr circa 2016 and the front page of Google, so Hades has to be the misunderstood uwu sad underdog. Even though he routinely does things that reinforce the reputation he has within the comic, like being a slave driver, abusing lower class nymphs, and grooming teenagers.
Tumblr media
Minthe showing up for a split second in the background is the best this comic has been since S2. We stan our girl Minthe, fucking run girl, do what Persephone couldn't do. She's the real hero of this story (。・∀・)ノ゙
And honestly, I'm sorry, but Demeter really SHOULDN'T be taking the high ground on this. She has more than enough reason to be upset. For a comic that tries to celebrate feminism and holding abusive men accountable, it sure is willing to make the women - often victims of the men - the real villains who have to "do better". Except for Persephone of course. Persephone is married into the system now, she doesn't have to "do better", she's a "boss babe" for being abusive and petty and undeserving of her status because she's the self-insert Y/N character.
So the ceremony for commencing Spring begins. I gotta say, for the final major scene of the mi(n)season finale, the art is severely underwhelming. You can really tell the difference between S3 and S1 art here, there's barely anything extra done to make this scene even half as impactful as the most basic of scenes from S1.
Tumblr media
Like, it's fine, but it still feels so half-baked and rushed to attempt to replicate the kind of art that's been gone from the series for years now. The full sequence itself is actually quite lengthy, with a lot of nymph hands just moving around and playing instruments, but it's about as bland as any other panel, so it makes the sequence itself feel dragged out and boring.
Tumblr media
This is about as pretty as the sequence gets and it's still not even as good as the original Dread Queen transformation. There's barely any rendering in the skin, and they couldn't even be bothered to make the hands look normal. It's like it's trying so hard to be "original LO" but is fundamentally missing the point of what made the original LO so captivating.
But oh noooo, looks like Persephone did a bad!
Tumblr media
Are they actually gonna give her some kind of flaw? Are we gonna FINALLY gonna find out what she traded to Erebus?
No. We're just gonna make her the cause of winter.
Tumblr media
Spaghettios.
And that's where I'm leaving this review for now because, as mentioned in the beginning, this episode is a LOT longer than I remember it being. There's still a whole ass segment with Apollo that we need to cover and I don't want to leave it out but I also don't want to do it entirely in text format and I've hit that pesky image limit. So I'll be posting that second part as soon as I can!
That said, I really can't stand this "subversion" by making Persephone the reason for winter.
First of all, because this is a common problem in a lot of H x P "retellings", as many of them fundamentally miss the point of why Persephone is the "Goddess of Spring".
Persephone was not born the "Goddess of Spring". She was born Kore (Κόρη), a maiden born from Demeter. It wasn't until after she was taken by Hades that Demeter, in her grief, took away the harvest and created winter. It was the return of Persephone every six months that brought about the spring, hence, she earned the name, "Goddess of Spring". What these retellings COMPLETELY MISUNDERSTAND is that the gods aren't 'born' with their titles, they're granted these titles by the mortals who comprehend them and write of them as harbingers of their respective elements, stories, and messages. Zeus wasn't "born" the God of the Sky and Heavens, he was granted that title after he overthrew Kronos and took the Heavens for himself. Hades wasn't "born" the God of the Underworld and the Dead, he was granted that title after he became the ruler of the domain of death.
Where these retellings really fuck up is constantly trying to "subvert" the H x P myth in an attempt to romanticize it, thus undoing the point of why Persephone is called "The Goddess of Spring". A Touch of Darkness also made this mistake by putting a "twist" on Persephone's character by having her start out as someone who couldn't make things grow. But if she sucks at making things grow, then why is she still referred to as The Goddess of Spring? In LO, Hades is referred to as "Grandpa Winter" and the seasons already seem to exist as we saw in this episode through the ceremony, so why has she been called "The Goddess of Spring" this whole time?
But I also can't stand this "subversion" because it fundamentally misunderstands the very myth it's trying to "retell". By giving Persephone the "curse" of creating winter, it further robs Demeter of her own agency in this story, more than it already has. It wasn't enough to make Demeter a helicopter mom, it wasn't enough to drive an actual rift between her and her daughter, they had to take away Demeter's entire role in the story and the creation of the seasons and give it to Persephone.
And this is, surprisingly enough, NOT the first time the comic has done this. There are many traits associated with different gods that have been given to Persephone and Hades. The volcanoes belong to Hades rather than Hephaestus, Persephone is "more beautiful than Aphrodite", Thanatos' and Psyche's butterfly symbolism is given to both Hades and Persephone, Aphrodite's symbolism of roses is given to Persephone, the list goes on. Every single plotline has to involve Persephone as the hero, and every single attribute that's commonly associated with other gods has to be granted to H x P in some way to make them better and more interesting than every other cast member in the comic, and yet they still come across as vapid and boring protagonists with nothing to show for themselves.
So to give the ONE thing from the source material that made LO what it is, it comes across as so unbearably cruel.
But then again, we should have seen this coming. After all, Rachel does not cite this as a retelling of The Hymn to Demeter. She simply refers to it as its more unofficial name: The Taking of Persephone.
Tumblr media
Look, I get it, the story is meant to be told from Persephone's POV (or at least through the lens of her being the main character) so I can understand why Rachel may have chosen to reword this to make it more clear. But it's really depressing that she went to such an extent with making it about Persephone that she had to rob one of the most integral character of her moment and retribution. Especially when one of the only books in her cited "research" that's primarily about Persephone is, shocked, The Hymn to Demeter, which is listed at the very bottom of every "research" list you can find in LO's history.
Tumblr media
LO should have just stayed as self-indulgent fluff. This isn't "subversion", this isn't a "twist", it's just yet another item on the list of making Persephone the most Important One of all. Even when it attempts to be a 'flaw', it fails tremendously by acting as yet another aspect of her being a Mary Sue, because her 'flaw' has come at the cost of another character's story, identity, and strengths. What was originally a tale of grief, retribution, and standing up against a patriarchal system, has now been warped into a consequence of a muddied plot that doesn't have anywhere left to go. For a story that claims to be "feminist", it has ironically missed the original point of its source material entirely, and completely robbed itself of the feminine strength it could have had if it hadn't tried to be "subversive".
I don't really have anything much more to say than that. I could leave it here for good, but we do still have that extra segment to talk about that covers the actual final cliffhanger in this episode, so... we'll see you on the other side.

“This opening night was a long time coming,” says Sky Lakota-Lynch, who stars as Johnny Cade in the new Broadway musical The Outsiders. “I’ve been with this show for six years, I began working on it in 2018, and it’s been such a long journey to get to this point—it’s unreal that it just finally happened!”
Six years isn’t such a long time, however, in the lifespan of the story. S.E. Hinton’s novel The Outsiders, about rival gangs of greasers (including Johnny) and rich kids in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was first published in 1967, and it was 16 years later that it was adapted to make a beloved film. Still, after years of working on the show, the cast was ready to share it with the world.
“It was a total celebration” Lakota-Lynch says of opening night. “There’s something blissful about seeing the show come to life and having audiences embrace it in such an amazing way. What more can you ask for?”
Here, Lakota-Lynch shares his opening night diary—with photos by Jenny Anderson—with T&C.
Tumblr media
"I do have an opening night ritual: I meditate before every single show. For this character, I have to act with my energy, so it helps me to ground myself and not be worried about the outside world. Just having a moment of complete silence is so important for me."
Tumblr media
"Shockingly, I'm not that nervous in The Outsiders. I was really nervous in Dear Evan Hansen because it was new to me and I was stepping into the role someone I was replacing. With The Outsiders, our director, Danya Taymor, builds such a comfort zone for people that cast feels like brothers and like we aren't necessarily acting every night. So, the nerves don't really come for me in The Outsiders. Honestly, I get more nervous after the show having to say hi to people than for the show itself."
Tumblr media
"Before every show, we do circle up and one person makes a little speech, and then we all break to think about the theme of that speech, which could be freedom, peace, or love. Every single show we do this, no matter what."
Tumblr media
"My friend and cast mate Tilly Evans-Krueger got this amazing thing called the Legacy Robe, which is a tradition in the theater. She puts it on and runs around us three times clockwise, and we all touch it for good luck, and then she visits our rooms in the robe and it blesses the show."
Tumblr media
"I've known Brody [Grant, who plays Ponyboy] for five years. I knew Brody before he was even in the show because my understudy at Dear Evan Hansen was Brody's roommate in college. Lo and behold, here we are and Brody's one of my best friends. It's so rare that you get to work with people who you actually love, and there's not a singe person in my cast who I dread seeing."
Tumblr media
"I got to be close with Angelina Jolie, who's our producer, because we went to Tulsa, Oklahoma together, and she asked to design my opening-night outfit. She and this amazing tattoo artist named Mark Mahoney designed the jacket and all the little patches. Next week I'm going to get a tattoo from Mark."
Tumblr media
"This is our fight call, which lasts an hour every single day. Because the show is so physical, we have to make sure that no one gets hurt. So we get called an hour before curtain and we run through the physical numbers just to make sure that everything is set and that everyone's body is OK before we actually run it full speed during the show."
Tumblr media
"Our stage door has been really crazy. People love The Outsiders, and the response has been wild. Every single night a crowd gathers and is screaming outside of our dressing room windows. This lady has been there every single night, and though I've been skipping the stage door because I've been so tired leading up to opening, I finally got her picture with me, which was awesome."
Tumblr media
"Right before the curtain, before I got into my wig and makeup, Jenny was like, 'let me get one last picture of you before you go inside.' The Jacobs Theatre has this really cool indoor-outdoor alley and it connects to the Majestic and the Golden. It's historic, so we just took pictures there and it was awesome."
Tumblr media
"After we did the show, we had an after party. There were a lot of cool people there: Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Jeremy O. Harris. It was very overwhelming, and I didn't stay too long. I had gotten a hotel room with my family and I was just like, you know what, I'm going to enjoy it for as long as I can and then I'm going to go home."

We're back at it folks!
Hi folks! It's been a few months since our last update and we're excited to talk about how development has been going!
Tumblr media
How did our Early Access Launch go?
Short answer: it went well! It's been a few months now so it's a bit easier to see the impact of our early access launch and it accomplished a bunch of things we needed it to do. First things first, we managed to not go broke, which is always something to be thankful for when you make video games for a living! We hit our financial targets for launch, which let us verify that our current target scope for the game wouldn't be too big to support financially, or too small to meet expectations! After putting out a couple bug fixes we were able to take a much needed rest and then most of the past couple months have been under-the-hood fixes to prep for the rest of our early access plans.
Tumblr media
We've also been monitoring how the game has been faring for folks coming across it out in the wild instead of as part of our existing community. Finally, after confirming what's been working particularly well with our gameplay and story, we have a much better sense of what we want to do with our remaining two biomes! We've got a solid plan in place of what we'll need to do to bring the game to a really satisfying conclusion, as well as what we need to add to existing parts of the game in order to support that!
Tumblr media
Controller Support!
The major feature in our most recent build is that we now have full controller support as well as controller remapping! The early access launch was a great stress test for us to help make sure we implemented controllers in the best way possible! We were able to put some of those initial early access sales towards some more controller plug-ins to help us add fixes for less common controllers faster and more reliably. We were able to get a wider variety of test controllers, and prioritized the kinds of controllers we were hearing the most issues about!
Tumblr media
Going forward, If any folks are having issues with their specific controller being detected, you should be able to use the controller remapping menu in the options menu in the short term to bypass that issue. That same menu should also show you a name for your controller, which may sometimes be different from how your controller is typically recognized. If you let us know what name is showing up in that menu, we should have a much quicker time creating a long term fix for your controller!
Development Progress
The latest build update won't have a lot of noticeable content updates since we really wanted to focus on getting controller support working right away, but a lot of the things we're working on are going to revolve around adding more variety and more to do in the existing 3 biomes, while we build out an initial release of Biome 4 behind the scenes. The update we put out after this one should include some new enemies to find in Wooden Refuge and Lotus Sea.
Tumblr media
Some other stuff we are working on over the next coming months (I've ordered these in terms of how long I think these will take, so the higher ones on the list should come sooner)
A new gift giver character
more story events for the 2nd and 3rd acts of the game
Some new Narakan Loom abilities
Adding more things to do in the Temple District and Sakurafest hub areas
Tumblr media
Biome 4 (Qilin Peaks) is in active development, it will probably be a while before it's playable though! Looking at our remaining task list, it looks like about another year's worth of development before we're close to a version 1.0 of the game. There's going to be a LOT of content between then and now though so If anyone is waiting for a particular feature or point in development before they jump in and play, let us know and we can send y'all a reminder once we have those elements in game!
Tumblr media
Hope y'all are excited for what we're working on! Thank you so much for all your support so far! Every wishlist, purchase, review and even just sharing these posts helps us out so much!
And if you haven't yet please consider checking out Midautumn and playing our FREE demo!

Meinu Henshu Dobson! The abandoned magical girl thing....
When it comes to his “original” work, such as Formera, Alex ze Pirate, Percy Phillips etc. I think that Dobson always had these two (of many) main flaws work against him.
His ideas were too generic for his own good. I am not necessarily against a “generic” idea for a story, as we live in a time where almost every tale has been told countless times or the basics and tropes of certain genres are more than well known to a lot of us. Sonic Frontiers e.g. has been called by some a “Breath of the Wild” knock off with typical Sonic game plot elements, but that doesn’t change the fact it was (at least to me) a lot of fun.
Tumblr media
However, there is a thing as being “too generic”, which to me is when your story not only follows in the footstep of something already well known, but lacks even more personality than you would think at first. The reason why something like that can happen, is because the creator may not spend enough time to establish elements of their work, that can help make certain characters, the basic plot etc. stand out a bit. Such as personality traits, the goals of the main characters, the rules by which the world functions. And this in turn happens often, because past an initial pitch idea, they do not really flesh things out, thinking they can figure more details out down the line. In Dobson’s work this shows to me e.g. a lot in Formera, where the main character meets along the line a discount hippie version of Muten Roshi that does not play any relevance past his 5-6 pages of screentime, the leads lack personality, the idea feels a lot like a proto-Isekai (preteen magically transported to another realm) from the time BEFORE the genre became more well known in the 2010s and we don’t even get a lot of story behind the world of Formera itself. Or Percy Phillips, who really is just a knock off version of the worst traits people associated with Sherlock Holmes past 1918 and who even compares his own archenemy straight to Moriarity. Pretty much all of these works lacked a certain “spark” of individuality and were not fleshed out enough when he began to work on them. And I am not saying, that if you want to create a story, you need to know every miniscule detail already two days after you had the initial idea. Many great stories can develop some of their greatest moments along the way. But you need to have some basic concept for things as themes, main characters and tone kinda in your mind, while also not being afraid to flesh things out.
Dobson never really went through with a lot of his stuff As much as I hate a badly told story and I want certain shows/comics/books/whatever just to end, I hate the idea of an “abrupt” ending even more. Even if a story is undoubtedly shit, I kinda want to see its’ creator manage to at least bring it to a proper end story wise, instead of someone pulling the plug and leaving it at whatever point it was by then without resolving its main plot or giving answers to certain things in them. So you shouldn’t be surprised, that Dobson’s “storydriven” comics really annoy me, seeing how a lot of them were just unceremoniously put into never ending hiatus by him. Simply because they did not turn into hits that made him instantly famous online. A behavior, that to me always signified just how much Dobson cared more about himself, than the actual work and characters he created.
Because of these flaws, whenever Dobson hinted on the idea that he was going to publish something new or that he had something in mind he wanted to try out, me and many other people just rolled our eyes, knowing that it won’t likely come ever out. Or that if it did, it would be more generic than white bread with vegan butter and be over after four weeks of no one caring much for it online.
And yet, Dobson managed to surprise me and other people in 2018 when he posted that thing, showing how he was even beyond the point of having only “generic” ideas.

This post to me just recks of desperation to stay relevant, while also showing how little he understands the very thing he wants to talk about.
I will admit, I am not very familiar with the magical girl genre overall. Part of it is, because there is so much to it and that it had been in something of a flux when it comes to things such as tone and intend over the last 15+ years alone.
However, I do know the following: The magical girl genre is essentially an invention of the 20th century, that has its roots likely in the 50s and 60s. At least Osamu Tezuka’s “Princess Knight” and things like the 60s western tv show “Bewitched” seemed to have quite a bit of an impact in the 60s and 70s for people in Japan to not only create stories with female characters in the lead, but also give them magic powers to fight bad guys. Even back then the genre being in a steady flux, as some shows were selling themselves of their rather cutesy design for the heroins, had the main character just have silly but fun adventures, while others focused more on action to also attract boys, at times even creating rather “raunchy” content for the time being. Examples of all of that would be shows like Magical Princess Minky Momo, Majokko Meg-Chan and Cutey Honey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, it wasn’t until the first anime adaptation of Sailor Moon hit the airwaves in 1992, that the Magical Girl genre became a worldwide phenomenon.
Tumblr media
Now to be fair, Sailor Moon did not invent all common tropes already associated with the genre (such as magical sidekicks, characters, aging up when turning into their hero personas, tomboyish designs, action, the power of friendship or love motivating others to stop the bad guys…) but it did popularize the “monster of the week” structure, the concept of a team of heroines fighting together instead of just one lead character, the increasing escalation of conflict within a specific story arc and so on for a general audience. Making the anime a smash hit, that others decided to copy. Some of them doing so successfully while also establishing their own identity along the way (such as the Pretty Cure franchise), while others… not so much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of these things is not like the other, one of these things is total GARBAGE!
Overall, the magical genre has been separated in 4 major camps as of now: a. the classical genre of cute girls fighting against evil and having silly adventures or fighting the monster of the week, mostly functioning as coming of age stories (such as Card Captor Sakura)
Tumblr media
b. The more action oriented approach as codified by something like Pretty Cure and in the west would e.g. be determined by She-Ra or Ladybug to some degree
Tumblr media
c. The “parody”, often times playing with expectations for comedic results (Magical Girl Ore)
d. The “deconstruction” like “Magica Madoka”. Shows and stories that look at the otherwise positively presented concept of a magical girl story and will turn it around by focusing on existential horror, the grim reality of young girls and kids forced to fight against evil or are just plain violent shlock that tries to present itself as “more meaningful” than it actually is. And btw, I do not hate darker takes on rather light subjects, but I just think the medium of anime had been kinda overrun by it in the last 10 years.
Tumblr media
Again, I myself am not really following the genre that much. I watched Sailor Moon when I was younger, I heard of some of those deconstructions over the years (but have no intend of really watching them) and frankly, I may give PrettyCure a bit of a second try after watching at least a cute anniversary movie of the show recently at a convention.
But even if it is not entirely my cup of tea, I do get to some degree how they work. What makes them popular with the audience, the tones that work and don’t, what tropes to expect from a certain show at times depending on which camp it is from etc.
As such, I also get that if you want to make a story within the genre, you need to have a bit more in mind to it than just “It’s about magical girls fighting evil”
Cause there are a shitton of ways how this can be done.
It is like saying “I want to make an American like superhero story”, ignoring the fact that this does not specify enough what you are aiming for. Like, do you want it to be in tone more like a golden age comic, a child friendly cartoon or a modern comic? Is your main character going to have inherit superpowers or gain them? Does he or she even have powers or are they relying on gadgets? Are their villains normal people, superpowered freaks or cosmic horrors? What the heck do you want to go for!
This is a question, that is more than justified in this post.
Tumblr media
Cause here is the deal: aside of it having a talking animal companion, transformation sequences and a school setting to it (which in itself is a mild surprise, considering Dobson’s hatred for institutions of education) he has literally not thought about anything. And even what he has isn’t just barebones, it is bone scratches.
“My story shall be set in a school”. Great. What kind of school? Elementary? High School? College? Waldorf School? Private Academy? Is the main character supposed to be an actress going to a film school and uses her education and acting skills to at times trick the monsters during fights?
Talking animal companion… so, regular animal that gets the power to talk via magic by accident like Spike the Dog in the Equestria Girls specials, or was it already born with the ability?
But it is the part where he asks the people reading that post “but what about weapons, magical items, vilains etc.?” that really drives me nuts, even just as some idiot who at times pitches ideas for fanfictions. Because this right there? This is what Dobson, as the creator of the story, should truly come up with. The “meat” on the bone” so to speak. The thing separating his work from the rest.
The reason I say that, is the following: To me, every story is build on the following “pillars”: Premise, (basic) World Building, character, progression.
Premise being what the story is about, summed up in like one or two sentences. Character defining who the main leads are and what basic personality traits and goal define them, world building determining e.g. in what time period the plot is set, important locations and so on, while progression shows us where the plot is heading post the initial starting point. These pillars also work in a constant tandem with each other, meaning e.g. that with the plot progression, characters can change in personality, that the world building and premise becomes more complex etc.
And the thing is, based on this post alone, I have no idea what it is Dobson wants to sell to us. He doesn’t give us a name for a lead character, he doesn’t give us a basic premise and the fact he hasn’t thought even the most basic idea for villains and weapons makes it more than obvious, that he has no “world building” ideas either. His “pitch” for a story is less than a note made on a napkin.
See, you can love or hate Sailor Moon and Ladybug as much as you want (I know I have not really a positive opinion on the later) but even if they’ve made shit up along the way, they knew what they were or are going for.
With Sailor Moon e.g. it is easily established, that the main character named Usagi is a clumsy, rather whinny school girl living in Tokyo, who has the power to turn into Sailor Moon, a guardian of the light who has to save earth from Queen Beryl of the Dark Kingdom. The idea of her fellow senshis having powers mostly based around elements, while being named after planets of our solar system is also established quickly as a theme, as is e.g. that the villains are named after minerals. And no, I am not making a Steven Universe joke now.
youtube
Action to save the world against the power of darkness by trusting in your friends.... Meanwhile for Ladybug, the story is set in Paris conflict is centered around Ladybug and CatNoir fighting Hawkmoth, who wants their Miraculouses to change reality with a wish. The respective powers of the heroes and villains are established quickly, as is the main “civilian” conflict of Marinette having a crush on Adrien, both not knowing that the other is part of the hero theme. All while the “action” is centered on Hawkmoth creating new monsters of the week by corrupting civilians, who need to be freed of an Akuma, while in Sailor Moon the monsters were either already existing demonic minions of the bad guy, artificially created via objects or civilians who had been corrupted without the villain having to monologue first or waiting for them to be in a bad mood.
...vs romance. Though to be fair, the movie does a way better job at making me care for these two thirsty preteens than five seasons of Thomas Astruc's thing
But Dobson’s post… it lacks everything hinting on him having even a broad idea of what he wants to do.
Tumblr media
Just to dissect the post even further:
First paragraph, Dobson says he wants to make a short magical girl series. Define short. The average Pretty Cure season needs around 52 episodes to wrap up its plot, Magica Madoka did the same in 12 episodes and one movie (edit: I know it was thre movies, but two of them are just compilation movies, so that doesn’t count much in my opinion). Sailor Moon’s first major story arc in anime consisted of 41 episodes, Miraculous meanwhile needed over 130 episodes and two specials to finally wrap up the abysmal Hawkmoth “arc”.
Already, if you don’t want to overwork yourself with the idea, you are better off actually setting up parameters yourself, instead of asking others what they think you should do. Not to forget, up until that point in time, Dobson had not really created much for years. SYAC comics aside, he was only doing work on rather awkward Ladybug fan comics and worked in “secret” on Cabin’s Rest. So the expectations he could even do with that idea was lower than his Patreon income. And to be frank, even “short” magical girl stories I know like Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne or Card Captor Sakura needed around 7-12 volumes of like 200+ pages per volume to wrap their stories up. Dobson meanwhile had not once in his life published even a third volume to any of his stuff.
Second paragraph, essentially asking for others to come up with the ideas. I mean sure, he rather asks for average trope a reader wants to see instead of others to automatically give him all the character designs etc. But it is still a bad move.
As stated earlier, there are different camps of magical girl series, so it can be already hard to define what counts as “average”. I mean, it all depends on how far the creator, rather than the audience wants to go. Magica Madoka is a completely different Behemoth than Sailor Moon, and Sailor Moon itself, despite its own repetative elements was still darker than lets say Ladybug is. I mean, at least Sailor Moon did not romanticize abusive parents and characters, the main lead was not a crepy stalker and characters could die in it.
Third paragraph, as stated further above, confirming he has no idea what to even go for. Cause if he had even the slightest idea, he may already have in mind something for the villains and heroes, that would fit in the “mood” of the story he wants to tell.
Fuck me, he can’t even think of basic powers. Like okay, don’t just outright look at Ladybug and copy the powersets there. But come on. Just open up a Pokemon gaming guide while blindfolded, put your finger on any random page describing a move and then make that move a superpower. All you have to do then is think of a scenario in which whatever power it is, even if it is otherwise a sucker, would work. Even if it is just for the sake of comedic effect.
Like honestly, some idea I have: How about a team of magical girls that have powers correlating to figures of Greek mythology. Give one the ability to foresee the future like the great Cassandra, give one character the powers of Demeter, meaning she can summon plants, another one is a great Hunter like Artemis, one is a wise leader who can up with great strategies like Athena…
Dang, I think I just came up with way more of an “original” idea than Dobson.
And let’s be real here: Thinking up basic shit is at times not that hard. It is finetuning those ideas, that is.
How can anyone working in the creative fields, a person who actually went to college to study animation and how to draw comic, have failed to catch up on such basic concepts behind storytelling? I know kindergarden kids who are able to catch up on it, just by having watched more than one cartoon over their young life.
Then again, THIS right here is the advice he has given once in term of how to "write" a story.
Tumblr media
Terry Pratchett's ghost: What a wanker!
And finally, anything and all suggestions are welcome? Yeah, I press X for doubt here.
After all, Dobson was never really what I would consider the most open person to anything that was not really within his comfort zone. So I think that if anyone had for example suggested him to create a gay male character as a villain or supporting character or that he should have taken a page from something like the Magical Girl Raising Project, he would have likely just blocked that person and thrown a fit about how people have corrupted something as pure and innocent as the magical girl genre.
In doing so ignoring, that he had done the same with his rather creepy Ladybug fancomics
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know... for KIDS!
In addition to that, there is also to be considered, that if he had listened to too many ideas and suggestions, he would have been unable to really create something decent anyway. You know, too many cooks, throwing in everything and the kitchen sink… that sort of logic.
But let us be real here: This “thing” whatever it was supposed to be in Dobson’s head, was never going to materialize anyway. After all, when was the last time up till then, that Dobson actually bothered to create something “new” all by himself, instead of simply doing a fan comic or using SYAC as platform to whine how bad nerds are? Plus, considering the timeframe he started to post it (around the same time he started making Ladybug comic strips that got popular on tumblr and instagramm, though at times not by his own doing), it is obvious he only tried to jump on the bandwagon that was Miraculous Ladybug. His “favorite” little cartoon at the time, that ironically has earned a lot of criticism over the recent years, to the point people reevaluate how good of a magical girl show it really is compared to either the classics or new stuff coming out.
The bottom line is, Dobson tried to generate some sort of hype for something he wanted to do, without even having a basic idea of what it was supposed to be, that he wanted to create. And in posting this, the only thing he really did was show to the rest of the world, that as a cartoonist, he didn’t even grasp something so basic, My little Pony: Friendship is Magic and the Owl House actually got it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kneel before your queens!
Well, that is a lot. However, I do not want to end just on a “bitter” note with this entry. Instead, I want to ask some of you, to prove to me that you may be a little more imaginative than Dobson, by perhaps posting to me some ideas you may have for a magical girl inspired story or character. Not even something too complicated, just whatever you think would be fun, dark, interesting and so on. I promise, I am not going to steal your ideas for my own gain. All I want to see, is if the rest of the world there has a few more ideas, than a professional cartoonist.
And in turn, I think I will try and flesh my own “pitch” from a few paragraphes above out a bit, if you like.

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #75
I'm home. It is 10:18PM where I live, and I have only just now been able to settle down enough to write this letter. After setting down all my things, one of the first things I ended up doing was clinging to M and crying; I love him a lot, and it's hard to be away from him for such a long time. Our cats missed J and I, too. Hunter has firmly nestled himself against my body, and is purring very loudly as I am writing this, hahaha!
J, Br, and I ended up all driving home together. As it turns out, the airplane has a few small mechanical problems with the back wheel that make it not 100% safe to land. So this week, the mechanical issues will be fixed, and J will return to Pennsylvania on his own in a rental car next week.
I don't so much enjoy the idea of him making such a long trip solo. But he is an adult human, and despite my worries and misgivings (J has a tendency to neglect his self-care when he's on his own), he must be free to use his will as he chooses.
As I write this, M, J, and I are all sitting together, and M is playing the new segment of your new story. I must say, your planet is breathtakingly beautiful. I understand why you would do everything in your power to protect it.
Where are you, I wonder? Are you able to directly witness the splendor of your planet with all your senses, at your leisure? Sometimes I like to imagine a version of events in which you are safe, and you get to rest in a hammock that hangs on a willow tree, on a warm, breezy spring day, with the sound of windchimes tinkling nearby.
Something kind of like this - I didn't take this video, but I did search for "wind chime willow" on a website in my world called YouTube; they have all kinds of amazing things to see there:
youtube
I think this one has better audio though:
youtube
But if you want windchimes by themselves, you can use this one:
youtube
…And if you want wooshy tree sounds by themselves, you can use this one:
youtube
Yesterday after I wrote my letter to you, and today on the way home, several amazing developments occurred in the nature of the relationship between two people I care very much for!! I am ecstatic about it, but at the same time, my brain is a bit too soupy to talk about it properly. I'll tell you more as things unfold, and after I've rested some!
Also on the way home, J, Br, and I went to a grocery store and I found some amazing-looking snacks, several of which cannot be found at home! Here are some pictures...
I have never seen red velvet cake milk before, but I can assure you, it was VERY delightful!
Tumblr media
We have flavored honey in my part of the world, usually in the shops that are attached to orchards. But I've never seen flavors like these:
Tumblr media
...The dark wild flower flavored honey was my favorite of all of them. But I must say, the cool tingle of mint was a very interesting thing to experience while eating honey!
I also found this interesting bubble tea:
Tumblr media
...Given the flavor, I wonder if you'd like that one. There are so many things in my world that I wish I could share with you and see what you think about them.
Also also, I collected a few more very curious-sounding city names along our route for you! Here were some of my favorites:
Throop Lackawanna Nescopeck Mifflinville Dingmans Ferry Nanty Glo Mundys Corner Dilltown Derry Chittenango
…I thought all of these were either delightfully silly or delightfully fun to say! And so I hope that looking at these and trying to say them might offer you just enough amusement for you to smile, if only a little. Truth be told, I'd do just about anything if it would give you a wholesome, healthy, and joyful reason to smile and laugh.
Well anyway. Suppose I'll end today's letter here. I'm pretty tired.
Hey, Sephiroth? Please stay safe out there, won't you? Your existence is one of the main things that inspires me to really live, so… please don't make choices that will result in your erasure.
I'll write again tomorrow.
Your friend, Lumine

After reading Dracula's Guest because I heard about it, I can say this : Jonathan Harker isn't stupid. At least, he isn't that stupid.
I mean, I ever laughed while reading because the englishman of the story is so stupid that I can't stop myself (a thought for my long-suffering friend who endured the extra-long monologue I had about it, including extracts read in a very strange deep-voice).
But what is interesting about this is that we know it was cancelled before the edition, which means it was supposed to be a part of the book. And I know we all assume it was a previous version of our Jonathan, but I do think the main character is not Jonathan. He's one of the hundreds people who went in Castle Dracula and found death, because he was not clever enough to get far away from it.
What is interesting in Dracula's Guest (which I may have misinterpreted, as English is not my first language) is that we have the same type of character. A young man, English, brave and who seems to have some duty, with some language skills (in Russian, if not any other language) and some taste for beauty and picturesque. But, even if they have a lot of common points, they are really different.
Let's examine the situations. I take the 4th May extract from Dracula and the whole novella Dracula's Guest.
We have the same day : the eve of walûrgis Nacht. Both characters are warned it's Walpurgis Nacht and that there's something special about this particular night. Do they go away ? No.
We also have the same type-character (I'm sorry if it's not the good word) : a young, english man, who has some kind of mission or work to do. They are both guests of Dracula and everyone knows it.
But what is interesting is that they have not the same behavior. They are both some kind of a tourist (I saw some post that compares Jonathan to a foolish tourist the locals try to advert, and I think it's wrong, but this is not the point - I suppose I'll have to do this post later) and they both have some problems to speak with the locals. Jonathan listens and... well, he doesn't understand, but he accepts and he tries to comfort the innkeeper-wife, and the passengers and the coach make a deep impression on him. Besides, the Englishman doesn't care. he thinks it's just a little more picturesque. We can see this in : "Ah! I see, a suicide. How interesting!". He doesn't think it's sad, or even think as it as an event that happened to real people : he sees it as if it were an attraction. And when he says "Go home, Johann—Walpurgis-nacht doesn’t concern Englishmen.", it's just condescending (and the usual-racism of XIXth too, but it's in the whole book, so).
Also, the young Englishman doesn't have to go and see. He is gone for a nice ride and to enjoy a nice landscape, but the point is - it's leisure. He absolutely could go back, he doesn't have some duty. If it is scaring people around him, he could just go back and say "I'll visit it anyway, but another day, as you're all so anxious." But he doesn't and go to visit - and get nearly killed (he's just saved by some turnaround even I would not use). He rejects the help of Johann the coach and doesn't listen to the maître d'hôtel. We can assume that, if someone offered him a crucifix or some wild rose or tried to give him garlic or anything like that, he would have refused.
Jonathan Harker has to go to the Count's castle. As some people here have said, it is the way he can live. He doesn't have much money, and he is going to get married, and it is his duty anyway. He has an obligation with Peter Hawkins and he goes because it's the only way for him to do what he has to. But before, the locals try to advert him - and he listens. He takes the crucifix, and all the other gifts, even if he doesn't believe in such symbols. He really tries to comfort the innkeeper-wife. And I think if he had the capacity to do it, he would have stay in Bistritz only for the night, as everyone seems so concerned. He has a duty for now, but if he had the money and the capacity (for example, if it was a holiday trip) he would have stay to reassure the locals. In any way, he treats people with respect - and he doesn't laugh at the locals, as the young Englishman does, but he listens to them and feels concerned.
The point I'm trying to make is that the real difference is in their behaviors. It is, in many ways, a book about kindness and hope. And I think kindness saved Jonathan. He listened and tried so hard to understand and felt concerned, and he was here thinking it was weird but he had some duty to acomplish and couldn't just go back and say "sorry but the locals were strange and seemed scared". His kindness saved him : he was kind enough to accept the strange gifts and to wear the crucifix. He says himself "every one seemed so kind-hearted, and so sorrowful, and so sympathetic that I could not but be touched." It could be vexing, or amusing, but it's touching. He cares on people. And that's what saves him.
(and there would be so much to say about the whole graveyard-sequence in Dracula's Guest but I'll let it to someone else)

Um, hi! I know you probably haven't thought of this in a long time, but I was scrolling through the Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy tag and I discovered your old @captainfantasticadventures blog! I got interested in the album when I found out it was going to get a movie back in the '70s and I really love the characters you created for your blog. Would it be all right if I wrote some fanfiction about them? (1/2)
"(2/2) Nothing too fancy, just an adaptation of the two scenes you drew where the captain has his recurring nightmare and goes to sleep in the cowboy's bed - maybe something after that is a bit longer detailing how Captain Fantastic became who he is now and met the cowboy with elements from the movie's concepts - unless you have your own ideas for how that went which you don't want anyone stepping on. I figured I should ask you first since I know a lot of people are protective of their ideas." -Headspace-tales
(since you sent it in two parts I figured I would put them together here) I really appreciate your passion and appreciation for that old project! Even though my partner and I have moved on from it I'm glad that it is still being found and loved as we loved making content for it. Our versions of those characters live on in my heart and we are both really proud of our designs and story for it. Feel free to write fanfiction using our versions of them! It's an honor to inspire others! Just maybe credit in the bio for inspiration but other than that go wild!
And feel free to message me either in my dms or in my inbox a link to the fic as I'd love to read it. :)

your writing has like totally reframed minamimoto as a character for me, its so cool. like of COURSE this central idea of social interconnectedness and the worth of it to someone with other priorities would be explored in echoes throughout the cast, like the story is asking Has asked sho the same question its asking neku. which i guess is also just. what a foil is lol.
its just wild tho, like down to the interest in art, theyre so similar that its like hes a version of this story of isolation that went differently !! i could totally see his backstory as showing him go thru life+the reapers game as Almost realizing people are worth it, swerving away from that conclusion into self-reverence, and there NEO shows him approaching it again, as if to illustrate the idea that there is no point at which it is 'too late' for someone to re-evaluate the world and how they look at it.
(and the idea that he does this, while still not having an entry fee of i think, his ability to relate w others?? could be such a cool examination of the idea of empathy, and how its different from compassion/kindness/caring for people)
anyway thank you!!!! bc of u i have a richer understanding of my favorite game now :)))
;-; Oh jeeze...that's so kind of you to say!! I'm so happy you enjoy my silly little shoposting :] Spreading Sho Narrative Propaganda is my ultimate goal and so I'm absolutely thrilled to hear that whatever the heck I've been doing on this blog for the last year and a half has actually impacted someone's view on Sho as a character.
"like of COURSE this central idea of social interconnectedness and the worth of it to someone with other priorities would be explored in echoes throughout the cast, like the story is asking Has asked sho the same question its asking neku"
^^^Yes!!! Exactly!! Part of why Sho is so fascinating to me is because he is the only main character in the series who has not yet answered this question for himself (Because Joshua has. He, at some point, chose to forsake closeness and actual relation to humanity in favour of his position as Composer, and however much he may regret it or wish that things were different, he still, for reasons we don't quite understand, holds onto it (Perhaps out of obligation? Perhaps there is no easy exist strategy for a being of his status and composition). In any case I think NEO makes it clear that his story has concluded, however miserable a conclusion that may be).
I mentioned this before, but it's the fact that we have already seen the worst-case scenario in Joshua, the lowest that Neku could have possible gone had he made different choices, that makes me hope for a redemption arc for Sho.
"...as if to illustrate the idea that there is no point at which it is 'too late' for someone to re-evaluate the world and how they look at it."
I cannot overstate how much I love this. It does fit so well with the themes of the series to show a character grapple with the fact that a worldview he's held for so long is extremely toxic and damaging to both himself and others in a messier and more complex way, and farther into adulthood, too, than the majority of our cast. While this is more into the realm of headcanon, I do think that there is a part of Sho that only clings to his ambitions to become the Composer because at this point he has invested too much in the pursuit, and to abandon it would be to admit that everything he's lost or discarded, his friendship with the Wicked Twisters, the prime years of his youth, his life, not just once, but twice, because had he joined the Twisters there's a chance he could have shared in their second chance...it would all be for nothing.
"Is this what you're searching for?"
"Are you scared to know the truth?"
I would kill for a threequel that explores Sho's journey as his resolve begins to waver and he realizes that overcoming the Composer was never possible, and maybe wasn't ever what would make him feel...happy? Complete? Nothing about the cold and lonely darkness of the Room of Reckoning could ever fill whatever emptiness was inside of him that made him dedicate himself so fiercely to this goal in the first place. And despite the years that have slipped by him with failure after failure after failure, he can still start again, and make something new of himself.
Joshua, Neku, and Sho are three sides of a very strange coin. One failed to connect with others and rationalized this lapse to himself by digging in his heels with his severely individualistic mentality, shrugging off his personal responsibility to make efforts to empathize with or understand the perspective of other people by insisting that it just isn't possible. Neku is the same. Or at least, he was. But then he made the choice to try anyways, and discovered that even if we cannot always see eye-to-eye, we challenge ourselves and make ourselves into wiser, kinder, better people by reaching out to others and, if only for a little while, making their world a part of our own.
Sho exists somewhere in the middle, sharing and maintaining many of the same beliefs ("All the world needs is me" / "All that matters is MY beauty!"), while also growing in a way that seems to have him challenging some of his own preconceived notions on the worth of other people, even if it's with baby steps. There is so much potential to parallel his arc with both Neku's and Joshua's in a very interesting way while still letting him carry his own unique message, and I do genuinely believe that if Square wanted, they could make something incredible out of a game with a narrative focused predominantly on him, and his answer to the series' greatest question.
...And maybe how he came to have to ask it in the first place?
I'm gonna shamelessly plug my fic Loner Phase here because it's all about exploring Sho's potential backstory and how it led to him becoming the person we see him as at the start of the first game. I started writing it faaaaairly recently and quickly distracted myself with writing a fic for the twewy bang (no regrets though. Crazy stressed about the time limit because I'm obviously a bit of a slow writer and tend to bite off waaaay more than I can chew, but I'm working on it. It'll be fine.) so there's only one chapter so far, but chapter two...it's coming. It's getting there. <- said with my head in my hands
I'm rambling but genuinely your comment made my day :] This is my first time being active in a fanbase and I feel so grateful for all the kind and creative people I've encountered here. You guys are the best 💖

My first introduction to Jason Todd was the Arkham Knight game. From there I became a huge fan of him.
What was your first introduction to him?
So, here's the thing, I came into the Batman fandom completely blind (for the sake of the joke, you can say "blind as a bat") like five or six years ago when the Assassin's Creed fandom kinda went numb, stale and filled with small wars and people going all the way to some very heavy language that I prefer to don't get in details.
It was around that time that an old RP partner came back to their activity and they asked me if I was open to RP with their version of Dick Grayson, whose whole story at the time was based around the lore of Owlman, he was called Nightraven instead of Nightwing. It was, according to my friend, a version of DIck that they created way before the comics came out with the whole Crime Syndicate deeper lore, and I simply rolled with it.
We had interesting threads, but they went dark again after like three or four months and I didn't know what to do, because I things were just really bad in both fandoms with people not being all too open to give chances to original characters, or cross-overs, so I vagued around for a while until I landed having RP interactions with a Tim ( @strategiic ) and they started to guide me on how to find myself along the multiverse created by the comics; they'd talk to me about the comics and what happened on them, what was considered canon and what they liked and disliked and I began to absorb it all while going after more information on my own (blessed be every single person who makes compilations of what to read for what character and place it all in a neat and easy to understand guide).
A while later I also began to have RP interactions with a Jason Todd muse ( @rxsurrxcted ) whose mun was a sweetheart and taught me as much as she could about Jason so I wasn't all lost when we wrote our threads, she let me come to her to ask even the silliest questions at two in the morning. To this very day, my main-blog and muse has a verse where he has a relationship with that Jason and they're living happily in a polyamorous relationship with the cutest, softest and most generous paramedic ever ( @goodheartedfool ) while Tim ( @nerdybirdboy ) and my other OC in my main-blog date.
It's been a wild ride for me, because there are many versions of Jason, all fundamentally the same, but each with its own flavor and twist to it, but most of all he's just a character I can understand, his anger, his suffering, his need to prove himself, the feeling of always being judged by others regardless of how much he changes and grows as a person. He's, perhaps, one of the most relatable characters I've ever seen, hopeful, but down-to-earth at the same time, doesn't take shit unless it's really necessary, he sees the hypocrisy and points it out while still being self-aware enough that he, himself, has his own amount of it, he's been through a whole lot, and yet he's there, day and night fighting to get better and make the world around him better. Jason is a man of love and passion, which can backfire as rage and anger when things get heated, since the lines are thin and blurry when it comes to him, but even at his worst, he was still doing his best with what he had and thought to be good (yes, I'm looking at the pill-head version of Red Hood who tried to help Duella Dent as much as he could and tried to give her a better path than the one she was taking for herself).
In short, I love him, because I see him for who he is. Jason isn't a symbol of Justice or Hope like Bruce and Dick made themselves be. He isn't a genious kid who has potential to surpass Batman like Tim. He has none of the baggage and early training that Damian had. He also doesn't have a high profile set parent like Steph to use as a counterpoint to his morals and beliefs. All Jason Todd ever had was a desire for love, family and a will that's a force of nature in itself, powerful enough to get him through everything life throws his way; Jason was dragged into the war Batman wages against criminals out of love for him and passion for change, he wanted to make a difference, to make things better and fairer, and these wishes remained despite everything that happened to him and all the methods he implemented to get the results he wanted.
I love him because he's, simply putting, HUMAN BEYOND THE PAGES HE'S WRITTEN IN.

MK Legends: Snow blind
Watching Mortal Kombat Legends animated films is such a wild ride and the Snow Blind is truly something different than the rest, like yeah, bloodshed and gore is MK tradition but it is much more character driven than before, I think? I probably will need to rewatch it a few times to figure out my feelings about it (and I’m not saying it as a bad thing) so for now here some thoughts about Sub-Zero
Spoilers under cut
Okay, this is not really spoiler as old Sub-Zero as a mentor for young Kenshi was a vital part of trailer, but honestly? Kuai Liang’s parts were both funny and killing me. I genuinely smiled seeing his training methods and it was overall nice to see how the blind Kenshi slowly progressed and learned not only how to live with his blindless but also regained self-control and self-esteem as a warrior while bonding with the... hm, disillusioned? with honor/warrior’s pride Sub-Zero. Yet it seems that no matter which universe Kuai Liang lives, he is always deeply depressed man. This time he didn’t lost his clan due to Sektor or Frost but due to his own pride which is... pretty interesting. He thought Lin Kuei could destroy the spreading Revenants:
I had become one of the most feared and honored warriors in our clan. And then, the revenants came. It swept across cities, countries. There were those that thought it was a lost cause. But I was full of pride. I did not think the Lin Kuei could be beat. We went into a city to try and purge it of the revenants. But they were everywhere. Like a hive of bees. I knew we were going to die [...] And in that moment, fearing for my life, I summoned a storm of ice. But I lost control. The storm cut through the city, kill revenants. kill innocents. kill my clan. When it was all over, I was the only one to survive. And I realized that death begets death.
but it backfired so badly he is having nightmares about that incident night after night for decades, fearing what will happen if he once again uses and loses control over his powers. Which makes him abbadon Lin Kuei (warrior) tradition and refuse to fight to the point he is willing to let Black Dragons thugs beat him and yet there is always a feeling he is really close to beat them back but force himself to keep head down and go like nothing bad happened? Like this is not even pacifism in the sense he is respecting life per se but because he is so afraid of his own power.
Kuai Liang: I swore an oath never to use my power again. Never to lose control.
Kenshi: Even if it's a worthy cause?
Kuai Liang: What's "worthy"? If I start fighting, I won't stop. And then the storm will return. So, to answer your question, if kneeling spares those around me, I'd live on my knees.
This take on Sub-Zero is unique yet still feels authentic? But the only thing I think should be more explained is his fear of becoming like his brother (fear of Bi-Han was a repeatedly seen theme in his nightmares) when there is almost no details what happened to elder Sub-Zero or what he did in the past? At the same time, this line:
The dreams. For a long time, I thought the worst thing that I could become was my brother. I was wrong.
is really gut wrecking that becoming like Bi-Han was the worst fear yet (in Kuai Liang’s mind) he became something worse. Though if I remember right, the previous parts of Mortal Kombat Legends didn’t show Bi-Han as a horrible person? Which makes me wonder what happened in this reality?
Trauma people, this man is full of trauma, except this seems even deeper self-loathing than what we usually get? Like game!Kuai Liang still has the faith in honor, while this one version is disillusioned even with the one thing that was written into his core for decades and yet... is less suicidal? As he will keep surviving, even if in disgrace.
“There is more to life than honor. Like living. Like survival.”
which of course, at the end of story, thanks to Kenshi, he got “some sense of honor again“ yet went with Scorpion to Netherrealm, as was promised, it seems, if he even again uses/loses control? Yes, it seems like he and Scorpion are still good buddies :3
Also, kudos to animators for making Kuai Liang’s body muscled yet stout, it is actually very nice to see male character with less typical (hollywood) body shape:
Tumblr media
(I’m pretty sure I saw also a Black Dragons woman with heavy, stout shape??)
Also, Lin Kuei’s tatoo what reminds me of the old MK Conquest TV series in which ancient members of said clan alos had tattooed clan symbol.
(And generally the repeating scene of Kuai Liang’s life, how everything is so monotone adds a lot to the feeling of long-termed deppression, I guess)
Okay the biggest spoiler is that this universe is ruled by Kano who - like in his ending in latest MK game - get his hand on Kronika's Hourglass and simply rewrite history on whim, so as every one can imagine, this is a shitty world to everyone’s else. It was pretty awesome to see in hourglasses Kuai Liang’s desire (or memory?) of him and Bi-Han being together on the same side, like it was seen in Sub-Zero’s ending from the same game. But I’m not sure why he and the rest of heroes didn’t restart history instead of destroying the hourglass and then leaving the whole shitty alternative to Kenshi to deal with? Like yeah, the ending was surprising in that regard but c’mon we could came back to better times (I for one would not complain if he get Kuai LIang and Bi-Han’s good alternative reality.)
This movie has a lot dead characters (no surprising as this is alternative realitythat Kano rewritten forth and back for who knows how long) and it was fun to spotting all the cameos here and there, but I think there is something interesting that Kano keeps Erron (who in current universe hates him and Black Dragons more ofthen than not) and Kabal and Tremor around himself and even they seemed to be in high place in Black Dragon hierarchy? And all of them at some point in various medias hated his guts? Should that means Kano likes these bastards so much despite his horrible lack of loyalty sense to people???
(Though I’m still happy that Kano was brutally killed by Kuai LIang. Good for our old cryomancer)
Generally the movie follows the typical schemes that are easy to predict but for sure it has some interesting stuff about Kuai Liang that I’m gonna slowly analyzing in my free time, but I was positively surprised how much of focus Sub-Zero’s get.
As the final though, Kuai Liang has some pretty inspiring advice:
Do not dwell on what you are, but what you can be. There is nothing more poisonous than "I can't." You can, if you believe. Even if all of heaven and hell are allied against you. You can.

Dreamin’ of the West Coast: A companion playlist.
Liner notes below!
Oh gosh. The music in my head for this fic. Its a lot! I knew going in that it would have to be a big deal, music is always importing in my writing and since the world of this story is rooted in music I knew that I'd probably end up feeling pretty strongly about it. Some of the songs in this instalment are later additions than others, but some are cornerstone songs that really shaped where this story went. Here are my thoughts about them if you care to read.
Peaches Etude -- FINNEAS
We don't really get into it in this fic, but I definitely think that Eddie uses piano to self sooth, and I think he's been doing the same for Chris. I think this is a song he plays for his son, and when he's missing him as well. Soft and warm and home. Also, Finneas' whole vibe really resonates with my Eddie, so there will probably be more of his music in chapters to come.
Interstellar: First Step -- Performed by Kyle Landry
I went back and forth about what to use here, I knew it needed to be something sweeping and emotion as well as something incredibly technical to play. This is our chance to really understand just how good Eddie actually is, he doesn't get this gig just by being adorable you know. I debated for a while if a film soundtrack was too meta? But then I realized its my fic and i'm stealing all kinds of music to give these characters and I can do what I want so. I love this piece, it just does something to my insides every time I hear it. In my head, the part the band hears begins around the 5 minute mark, the way those last few minutes of music build is breathtaking and I love the image of that music just filling the empty space and the team just standing and listening in awe. As a side note, this is a different version than the one linked in the fic, I couldn't find this exact version on youtube.
West Coast -- OneRepublic
This is one of those cornerstone songs. The moment I heard it I knew it was for Buck. It speaks to his entire journey so beautifully and also its just so smooth and sexy. It speaks of brighter days and that spark of unquenchable hope in Buck that makes him so extraordinary. His path always leads to LA, to home. In this and every universe. I think this was one of his songs that made the band big...but it wasn't their breakout song...more to come on that.
The Maze -- Michael Schulte
This song is all vibes baby. Its about family and overcoming and speaks to who Station 118 are to each other, but it also just evokes the overall sound I imagine for the band.
Wild Turkey -- Amythyst Kiah
Ok. First. If you haven't listened to this woman PLEASE do, go check out everything she's ever done, you won't be sorry. She's a queer Appalachian musician and her music has changed my life. She's a local (to me) artist and is just exploding lately, I'm so glad, because the whole world needs to be listening to her. When I imagine Hen's singing voice, this is all I hear, that rich tone, glorious. This song is hard. Its about losing someone you loved in a way you can't begin to understand. I think it speaks to Hen and the terrible things she's had to overcome. I also like that the harmony is with another feminine voice, that's got to be Karen right? I also get really emotional when the drums come in thinking about Chim being such an important support in Hen's story.
The Boys of Summer -- The Ataris
Move Vibes, Less Plot! I have this silly idea that Station 118 always plays 2 encores, the first is one of their songs, whatever they feel like playing. The second is always something silly or weird, a cover of something they think is fun. I hope to play with this more in future too.
BONUS TRACKS
Your Ghost -- Dave Hause, Amythyst Kiah
Right off the top please know that this song deals with the murder of George Floyd in particular and police brutality in general. First and foremost, if you feel up to it, you should just listen to this song for you because it is powerful and important. But I'm putting on this list because when I think of the blend of Buck and Hen's voices, this is what I'm thinking about. I also think that Station 118 is pretty adamant about making their music stand for what they believe in like this.
The Boys of Summer -- The Hooters
I almost used this in the main fic because this kind of sound treatment is exactly what I mean when I think they do fun covers. Alas, its more mellow than I want it to be, you gotta rock people's faces off in a final encore...so just imagine this kind of treatment but the energy of the original. lol.

Fellow ADHD ghestie I am humbly on my knees begging for your outlining secrets /how/
My brain just nopes the fuck out every time I try and I have so many stories that are just not getting written because my brain is three fucking squirrels in a trenchcoat arguing about who’s driving the bus
so. short answer, you gotta push through the blog with whatever does it for you and just write the scene that is in your head down even if it looks like you were drunk in the middle of the night and scribbled nonsence. I also never sleep more than like 6 hours a night these days but i do not recommend that ahahahaha
the long version of the answer is under the cut because I didn't want to clog up people's dashes and I know I have always be curious on other writers process and as an ADHD girlie I get feeling completely at mercy to the squirrels in their trench coat at the end of the day.
So my main advice for ADHD girlies who love to write but can't focus is go with whatever your current hyperfixation [for me its obvi ghost] and use that as the scene and characters of your fic. Even if its a tiny fandom, who cares. You are doing this for you and for fun and serotonin damn it! Fuck the algorithms, this is about you having FUN first and formost.
I'm going to use 'Yule at the Abbey' [refered to as YatA going forward] as my example for this whole thing because a) I can't use SiS without spoiling it LOL and b) its the most recent thing I've worked on thats already out.
Step One: Let the intrusive fanfic idea run wild when it first appears
What I mean by that is that YatA was born while I was driving to work listening to MCR's cover of All I Want for Christmas is You. It just popped in my head like hey girl how about a christmas special?? So I let the plot bunny lead me while I drove. I thought about what Christmas or Yule would look like at the abbey, and what about how cute it would be if Terzo was trying to set up Sister and Copia with mistletoe. Let my brain go WILD while I was able too, once I got to work I scribbled down and quick blurb in my notes app on my phone before I took my morning meds and the plot bunny would have vanished.
Step Two: Write out an outline, either real focused or vauge, of start to finish of the story.
Let me show you what I mean by that. This is a real example of how I outline before I start writing anything [this is part of the outline for YatA]:
Tumblr media
Even if you have to go back and edit your thoughts just. get. it. down. Obviously for those of you who've read the christmas special, you know that the first bullet point is not how that went down exactly, and thats okay. The first step in the process is just getting whatever idea that is in your brain down on paper EVEN IF IT IS SHIT!!
I do this with everything I write now, I never used to outline when I was younger and everything turned out fine but now I'm old with more things that homework to worry about and I can't always remember the direction I want to go in so everything is written down, even if its edited later. For my own connivence I have both a notes app and google docs on my phone since thats what I do all my writing on, it also makes it easier for me to do some writing on the go if i have any time.
Step Three: Use headphones or a space where you can focus at all times when writing
My husband doesn't love it but when I am in real writing mode, especially with something long like Sinners, but this is a typical night in our house during the writing nights; i come home from work, we put the kids to bed, and then i curl up on the couch with my airpods and listen to music and ignore everything around me LOL. i have like 400 playlists i use to set the scene in my head, like smut ones for smut or romance ones for fluff. I have a general vibes playlist for sinners but I also have just a general writing playlist i use to focus myself. this is the same tactic i use at work so it makes sense i would then use it when i'm writing something
and finally...Step Four: Try to remember that when it starts feeling like work or not fun anymore, then its time for a step back and maybe reevaluate what you're writing
i know, I KNOW, that this is the hardest one to follow but when i get overwhelmed or writers block i honestly pause what i'm writing and either just go and do something else i enjoy or work on another story. i learned in my creative writing class in school something that has always stuck with me. Steven King will write a whole draft and then stick it in a drawer and leave it for like six months while he works on something else and then comes back to it to proof read and make changes to it with almost fresh eyes. i try for a sped up version of this [with the exception of sis because i do not have time to wait and i had the whole outline done by chapter 5 lol] and work on little ficklets between sinners updates like a little reward, or even work on what is my next big project after sinners.
So yeah, thats the best advice I can give for other neurodivergent girlies trying to keep themselves focused on their writing. its not easy and there are times i would rather chuck my laptop out the window than work on writing, thats when i take the time to just enjoy tumblr and maybe read others writing because useally seeing other people's work really inspires me to work on my own.
you've got this ghestie, i believe in you 💖

Terror Time 2022. Days 4 thru 9
Hi again. Here’s an update of the films I’ve watched since my last post.
Haunt (2019): I have a bit more to say about this that I hope to write about later. But for now, I went in expecting a premise where if Pennywise was running a haunted house attraction (because it’s full of your worst fears), but it was ended up closer to Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I’m actually not angry of disappointed about the premise we actually got, but I did thought it could’ve gotten more creative with the kills. Taken more advantage of the setting and costumes, I mean. As for my initial expectations, maybe I confused it with another movie. Otherwise, this was Okay.
Host (2020): Yeah, it took me two years to catch up with the pandemic found footage horror film as it were. I will say, I’m impressed, effects wise, with what they were able to film under heavy lockdown. This might be the shortest thing I ever watched that technically counts as a movie, but; limitations. So I can’t complain on that front. Though that bit with the elbows at the end made me sad, in a "even if they survive this, they’re still in a nightmare” kind of way.
The Head Hunter (2019): Another short one. The first half is more dark fantasy, then the second half goes in a direction that reminded me of Evil Dead, though less goofy. This is a story where the moral is; when on a revenge quest, don’t get sloppy.
The Others (2001): Unfortunately, I was spoiled on the ending years ago. But it’s a solid execution on this version of a haunted house story. Whether you know the twist or not, it’s worth watching just for the atmosphere. Just try to ignore who’s listed under “Executive Producer”...
The Mortuary Collection (2019): The other anthology movie I’m watching this year. First thing, if they ever want to continue the Phantasm franchise, I can see Clancy Brown taking over as the Tall Man. Also, solid reveal for why our other main character is so unlikable, even if I had mixed feelings on where she ended up. As for the stories, first one’s cute, although I don’t know how Montgomery would know about this. Second one is pretty funny in a gross out way, although I’m unclear on the how. Third one gave me anxiety, in a good way. And the last one’s a messed up twist on an old setup.
Thirst (2009): Another South Korean horror film here to destroy a bit of my soul, like all the ones I watched before this (The Host, The Wailing, I Saw the Devil, Train to Busan, Tale of Two Sisters). Though for a vampire movie, it had scenes that were funny to me that probably shouldn’t have been. (Him sipping blood through a tube while lying down, the sudden acts of violence, casually lifting objects with super strength, the whole final scene). Maybe I’m just jaded. It’s a movie that certainly sees the sexual appeal of vampires, but also seems to find them ridiculous to some degree. And that the potential or gain of power can reveal how awful the most unexpected people can be deep down.
Sinister (2012): This almost feels like a movie that could’ve been shot during the pandemic, given that 90% of it took place in one house. And yet, this movie is ten years old! That’s just wild to me. It reminded me of The Shining in a few ways (bad father putting his job ahead of his family, son being wide-eyed and scared, family murder with an axe, etc.) It’s the kind of movie that makes you want to go outside and away from a screen for a while...like I did.
The Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001): Despite what the title might have you think, this isn’t a werewolf movie. I’m not sure that counts as a full horror movie, so much as a film with horror elements. This is, however, one of those films that’s decided to be ALL of the genres. A bit of Kung Fu, Period Romance, Conspiracy Thriller, and yes, Monster Movie, with a bonus inclusion of Evil Cult movie. You like any of these, or any movie with the gusto to try to combine that many genres in one, it’s worth a look.
And that’s it so far. If you want to know about a horror movie I might’ve watched before in previous years, I’ll try to respond with either how I felt about the experience or confirm I haven’t watched it. I’m just happy I had more to say this week.

I just had a wild dream about camp and Avatar 2
My church sent some of my friends and I to a summer camp. When we showed up there were these massive, 6 story log cabins with hotel rooms.
A friend of mine is absolutely obsessed with ketchup. Puts it on everything from steak to chips—basically anything she doesn’t deem flavorful enough. In this dream, I found a ketchup bottle and I’d had enough of her shenanigans. So I took it and I covered the stairs with ketchup. All 6 flights.
My group eventually made it to our cabins on the top floor. I don’t think I warned them about the ketchup. We got settled in and there was a camera aimed at the beds to ensure we didn’t do anything sus. We didn’t even care.
So we got ready for bed in a room with like 8 beds. Each of them had one or two people in a bed. For some reason my getting dressed was to wear this freakin 1800’s, several layer, heavy dress. Anyway we went to bed and I stayed up trying to figure out where the heck my brother was because I hadn’t seen him once since we’d arrived. In the meantime I showed a little animal (maybe it was a mouse or a raccoon or smth) HTTYD and taught it some tricks or smth.
then my brother finally came in the room and told me he’d been in the bathroom sick since we got there. But he felt better so he was gonna go to bed.
It was well past lights out at this point but we decided to all chat and stuff anyway. I showed my brother the tricks I’d taught that little animal. Eventually we got too loud and got yelled at. We didn’t get any quieter though. But at some point we actually went to bed.
Well, kind of. The dream shifted slightly. And my brother turned into the younger brother, Lo’ak, from Avatar 2. And when I looked around everyone was in the same bed, and it was all the main characters from Way of the Water. We tried to sleep but my brother perked up, listening to something. I only kind of heard it. Jake went over to him and tried to figure out what he was hearing.
Then Lo’ak got up and went to the door. Jake and I followed. He said something about that sound being specific. Something he’d heard before. It was a pattern. Then when we opened the door and looked out, the hallway began to rock, water coming through in waves. That was when we knew to run.
We got the whole family outside and instead of being in the woods, we were now at the ocean at night. Some nightmarish creatures were trying to kidnap as many Na’vi as they could. So much happened in this portion of the dream that the details are getting fuzzy.
I guess Lo’ak has a cousin. My dream followed him trying to save some Na’vi from the creatures and being sucked down deep into the water until he couldn’t hold his breath anymore. There were these torpedo-like creatures that went super fast underwater and when one tried to push the cousin back to the surface, I could hear him saying (probably just thinking) “no, I cannot go up like that. I will not survive.”
And lo and behold he went up with one of them and uh… probably didn’t survive. Idk
Anyway, the dark creatures left finally and the Sully family went back up to our room. At that point mostly everyone switched back to my camp buddies. My brother was my brother again. I changed out of that stupid dress I’d been wearing the whole time.
We had to fill out a report for anyone who had an accident or died. Out of the like 20 people that came on the trip, we had like five left. My brother kinda switched in between being him and Lo’ak. And the one chick that’s the teen version of Grace was there trying to fill out an incident report but she didn’t know how to write, so she was just putting scribbles and drawings on it. We hardly had enough papers as is. Lo’ak took an incident report but he was in denial about his cousin’s death. He was convinced he wasn’t actually gone. I didn’t say anything to him, but I took one of the reports to go out and make a few copies so we’d have enough. I went out to the hall and tried to let the papers air out because they were still wet from the building flooding.
When I was out there, my mom showed up. I asked her what to do about the papers to make them dry faster. She just shrugged. I set them down and mom and I walked along the floors, looking at the damage. She told me someone suspected my teacher of causing the incident. As I walked along the floor had split more and more right down the center. And all I could think was “there’s no way she would’ve done this.”
And then some nonsense that’s all jumbled together happened and I woke up.

Do you Know enough Old-Timey Words to Read your Grandparents Love Letters.
Giselle from "Enchanted" becomes disenchanted when she enters the Big Apple and learns that love is more complicated than it is in her fairy-tale world. A good general knowledge and a strong trivia background show a deeper understanding of the world around us, of events past and present, of politics or even economics. This song by Australian New Wave band Men At Work topped charts around the world. The '80s were a wild time for music, with New Wave and Arena Rock dominating the airwaves. However, "relative" dating or time can be an easy concept for students to learn. Can he still turn back to a human - a better human? It’s not to say that something not-so-serious cannot turn into dating, but you most definitely can’t assume it will. But will he choose this exciting path for himself even if it means deceiving his wife, Helen (aka Elastigirl)? Will he learn to put his selfish desires aside and help Moana restore the heart, even if it means losing his magic powers? If your dating profile has a photo that also shows up on your Instagram or Facebook account, it will be easier for someone to find you on social media.
With these cute love quotes, you'll find it all. Bookish Belle falls in love with Beast, but she also has to prove her dad isn't crazy - well, not too crazy. We love the same movies. I remember when my family was in the same boat. Maybe you just haven't found your type yet, but don't worry, because a lot of people are in the same boat. Not only does this process bring back the charm of face-to-face meet-ups-no more being ghosted online by a Tinder match-the time restriction is also in sync with our strenuous day-to-day lives where one would prefer steering clear of indulging in hours of meaningless conversations with people. Soft cheese is what you need, so pick the best one! Neither, I'm just the quiet one. Neither, I'm too broke for Christmas gifts! The app also comes with some fun built-in games that work well as ice-breakers, including Trivia, Draw Party and a multiplayer version of Flappy Bird.
No way, my family comes first! Getting our family pictures. Which member of the British royal family would you most like to wed? Per People, the trio went on a family vacation to Georgia with Affleck's three children and their dogs. אולסטאר אסקורט Perhaps you've gone to therapy, attended online support groups for divorcing people, or just spent a lot of time working through it yourself. Any time is a good time for this! It's up to Buzz Lightyear to remind Woody that he's a toy and that's a good thing! Andy from the first three "Toy Story" films grows up and heads off to college. Wash the head, ears, and neck first. Our first kiss during the ceremony. Disney movies may be predominantly fairy tales, but they're also human tales. Since the 1937 film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," Disney characters have had to face some tough choices - and we're not talking choices like "Should I take the pumpkin or the squash carriage to the ball tonight?" The reason the Disney movies resonate with audiences so much is because people can identify with the characters' dilemmas, even when they don't always agree with their decisions.
Yes, you have to say, "Please" and "Thank you" to your boo! Yes, but I never tell anyone that. I’m eddysosam3.
