I just got finished with a spy x family episode and this came up! What about DBH boys (Connor, Simon, Markus) With a female reader who is just like Yor Forger!
She’s very sweet looking, and nobody would suspect she packs quite a mean punch when protecting someone or herself, and unusually strong!
Hey anon! So sorry about the wait on this. I'll be honest part of it is due to me not knowing anything about spy x family, so I will just be going off the little description you've given in this ask! And it certainly won't stop me from trying.
Each Connor, Simon, and Markus would initially find the reader quite unassuming. To say they underestimate her is not exactly accurate, but they certainly don't expect the strength and punch she packs.
Connor witnessed it during a case. He's in the process of analyzing some evidence at a crime scene when he hears a disturbance. It was an argument, from what he could tell, between you and someone else trying to tamper with the crime scene or simply initiating some aggression because, like Connor, they misjudge exactly how strong you could be. At the sound of raised voices - yours being one of them - Connor is quick to make his way over to the disturbance, intending to intervene if necessary. Though, it quickly becomes apparent that it isn't necessary.
You've knocked the aggressor clean on their ass. One punch to the face was enough to send them falling backwards right on their ass. You probably even broke their nose. Connor, he's... well, to be honest, he's a little surprised. You aren't often in situations such as this one. And while you do work for the DPD, it's not often he sees you demonstrate exactly why you were hired in the first place.
Even though you punched someone to the point of a concussion, Connor can't help but still make sure you're okay. Physically, mentally, whatever, he wants to make sure the encounter didn't shake you up too bad. Even if you've assured you're fine and that he doesn't need to check you over, he's still doing a scan, just to be sure.
This is something he certainly does not forget about you. And while he still worries, given the fact that your appearance is deceiving compared to your actual ability, he's a little more at ease to know that you can hold your own when you need to. He's aware that people will go for those who seem weaker, and while he knows you aren't weak, at a glance, people are quick to think otherwise about you.
---
Simon, while not a coward, does prefer to take the pacifist route at any given opportunity. You're someone who's the same, unless you have absolutely no choice. And that was the case here. You were with Simon, just the two of you. You had excused yourself to the bathroom, and on your way back, you see that someone had approached Simon, and you noticed that Simon was less than comfortable about the interaction. It wasn't until you were a few steps away that you could hear exactly what was going on.
It was some anti-android guy going off - he must have recognized Simon someone. Which, come on, he's not the only PL600 to exist. Whatever, it didn't matter. What mattered was this guy was going off on Simon, and while Simon was trying to defuse the situation, he wasn't getting anywhere successful. Simon was trying to talk the other down, but the guy seemed pissed, which started to piss you off. It didn't help that the guy suddenly grabbed Simon - that's when you knew you had to step in.
"Hey!" Was all you said, which seemed to startle the guy long enough for you to grab his shoulder, turning him so you could swiftly punch him in the gut. He quickly doubled over, falingl to the ground, and Simon stumbled back, staring at the scene in shock. His mouth was agape as he looked between you and the guy, now groaning on the ground. There was even a slight tint of blue on Simon's face at the sight, which you may have noticed if you weren't still upset with the interaction.
"Whoa... I didn't know you had that in you..." Simon said, nearly stepping towards the guy to help him. But he stopped himself, mainly because you held your hand out to stop him.
"There's a lot you don't know about me," you responded, looking over to him and managing a smile. Despite the circumstances, it was cute to see the way Simon reacted to this.
"What, so we just... leave him?"
"Well, he was a prick, soo..."
---
Markus was often used to being the protector. And with you, it was a no brainer that you were someone he felt drawn to protect. And it was cute, and you never had a problem with it. But sometimes even the protector needs a little helping hand. Especially when you've got no problem fighting your own battles.
Being the leader of the android revolution meant that Markus got a lot of attention. And being a close friend of the leader of the android revolution meant you got a lot of attention as well. Both good and bad. This was an instance of the bad. Some name calling, some yelling, asking how you could ever support something like this when all the androids do is take and take and blah blah blah.
Really, you weren't listening. You had grown used to it at this point, it was something you could easily tune out.
Though, it was clear that the people nagging you were not a fan of being ignored. Markus was only a little ways ahead of you, but it was still enough of a distance that he couldn't stop the way they grabbed you to look at them. A small struggle ensued, which caught Markus' attention. He was quick to rush over to you, pulling off one of the two attacking you, but it seemed you had the rest of it under control.
A quick knee between the legs was enough to throw them off their balance, then an elbow to the chest knocked the wind out of them long enough for you to get away. As you escaped their grasp, you kept yourself ready, knees bent, arms up, ready for anything more they had to throw your way. Of course, the kerfuffle was enough to get the attention from onlookers, and the attackers found it best to avoid further humiliation.
With them submitting to defeat, Markus looked to you, first making sure you were okay. Once that was settled, he found himself looking at you with an impressed smile. "Maybe you should be the one protecting me," he joked.
"Maybe," You said, relaxing now that you weren't in danger anymore. "At least I'd know you'd be safer."
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing."

Sonic Stellar - Intro
What if you could catch the impossible?
What if you could obtain the unobtainable?
What if you could go beyond yourself?
It's a thought we have all shared from time to time. The allure is tempting, tantalizing, but some have more drive than others, and we have seen it across generations. Times change, societies change, but opportunity has always been there. Always waiting for the right person to seize it.
...
What?
The Emeralds?
No. Not this time. This is something else. Something more.
Surprised? Yes, you would be. I assure you, this is no fairytale. Let me explain.
Somewhere in this world lies a place like no other. It has its communities and landmarks like anywhere else on the planet, but not many people on the outside know about it. Those who do have been curious... and fearful. And you know what? They're right to be.
Beyond it hides a force. A force like nothing else that has been documented. Despite overwhelming evidence of its existence, it has never been witnessed by any living person, and it cannot be found through conventional means. Not without reason: the barrier is not designed to be broken. Should it ever make contact with our plane of existence, reality would dissolve into sludge before you could even blink. It is not a being... but it is alive.
The few who learned, who weren't dissuaded by the consequences, have tried to exploit it. Oh, they've tried... and none of them succeeded. For all their efforts, the prize would always elude them. Some of them counted their losses. Others lost their minds... or paid with their lives. It did not want to be found. And so it remains that way.
It's a lesson of caution, to be sure. To not tamper with what you can never hope to comprehend. If anyone were to try again, they would need to be serious. They would need to plan to the very last detail. They would need to be quick, and ruthless.
And above all else, they would require a very special kind of genius.
Like, say...
MINE.
------
It was over before it could even begin.
What was once a day of hope, a declaration of strength and unity, had swiftly escaped their grasp before they knew it. To think so much effort could have went down the drain in an instant, after all they had learned. Yet this was the fate that befell the Guardian Units of Nations. They couldn't have predicted it. They were simply no match for it.
G.U.N. had spent the past year recovering. Their wounds had left a lasting mark, and they knew better than to assume otherwise. They certainly had more work to do before they could restore their former glory, but ever since the rest of the world started healing, they too had made significant progress. They had come so close to marching onward, with no more weakness to shackle them. And today, the Commander had given one of his most passionate speeches to date, one that was sure to inspire these brave people for decades to come.
Was.
All of that seemed like a distant memory now, as the Commander collapsed onto his knees, his uniform tattered and dirtied. As he looked on helplessly at the blazing ruin that was formerly their headquarters mere minutes ago, the sweat dried up on his hands, and dripped down his forehead. His breathing was slow, and deliberate. He couldn't tell if anyone else was alive. How did this happen? How could this happen?
He didn't need to guess who was responsible for the mayhem. They were standing right there, staring him dead in the eye.
It was true that they had been taken by surprise, as uneasy as it would be to admit such a thing. Yet it was far from a whole army that they had been forced to take an unforseen stand against. With their training, and their experience, this would have been in their favor. A single, miniature entity should have been quick business, even if it were a robot of that very same description.
But this was no ordinary robot, was it?
Its speed was firmly its power. Throughout G.U.N's history, they had only known a select few who could match it. One of them even worked for them. However, it should be noted that they were also people. This, on the other hand, was a monstrosity whose sheer lack of respite flipped the scales beyond what they could have imagined. Many of them were not given the chance to open fire, and those who did had aimed at where it no longer was. Their weapons meant nothing. Their armor meant nothing. Their legacy, memories, camaraderie... meant nothing. It was no concern for this creature, if you would call it one. It reduced them to square one all over again, and somehow even further if that were possible.
It was a threat in the past. The Commander knew that. This was not a new face, they had seen it before. They should have stood a chance with that fact in mind, even without the benefit of adequate preparation. Yet, as he looked up at the azure automation, in its familiar, angular form... there was something different in the air. He couldn't estimate what it was, and he suspected this would not differ even if he weren't overcome with a raging inferno of inner turmoil, but whatever it was... it wasn't there before. It wasn't with it before.
Metal Sonic held its gaze for what felt like an eternity, as its left hand gripped the Commander's collar so tightly that it had partially torn a hole through it. Though he glared right back at the machine for the sake of his fallen comrades, as his hands curled into fists at the reminder of this injustice... it simply continued to stare. The Commander's breathing grew, and his anger followed suit, but it could sense the fear sealed within, and the vacant visage made it all the more unclear as to whether it was holding off from finishing right away so that it could savor this private moment of despair.
All of these competing debates in his head would soon subside, as he noticed the robot's right hand had slowly begun to rise. He knew what he was in for, yet his composure held on, despite the confusion, fury, and shame he had felt simultaneously. As it prepared for the killing blow, the Commander closed his eyes, for the dignity of not himself, but for his crew.
It was at this point, however, that a voice finally spoke up from afar.
"Don't finish him off just yet, Metal!" The merriment was unmistakable. Painfully unmistakable. "Let me have a man-to-man with him for a precious moment!"
It held onto his collar for a couple of seconds longer, as if it were reluctant to let go... but eventually, it complied without a word. Slowly, the robot released its grip... and threw him to the ground as if he were garbage. As it coldly stepped aside, allowing for its superior to take center stage, its gaze never left the Commander. It continued to stare right at him, like a preying vulture. After recovering from the sudden and heavy blow, the man took a moment to open his eyes, and in spite of knowing full well what he would see, he braced himself all the same. Sure enough, as if by magic, the disgust immediately began to overwhelm his senses as he saw...
Him.
Him.
The deranged mind who brought Metal Sonic and countless other tools of destruction into existence.
The elusive maniac who had been a blight on the world at large for so, so long.
That round body. That wild moustache. That devilish grin. It was him alright, no doubt about that. It was all too familiar... except for a single, yet incredibly significant detail: it would appear that the good doctor had decided a change of wardrobe was in order. As he proudly strutted his way towards the two, with his common toothy smile, the Commander was able to get a better look... and it didn't take long for sheer puzzlement to set in.
The goggles he had been accustomed to resting atop his head were not present this time around. Instead, his characteristic round glasses seemed to be mildly thicker than they were during past endeavors. Covering his upper body was a simple black shirt, buttoned all the way to the top, and tucked into his matching pants. Covering further was a bright red waistcoat, more than a little reminiscent of his more recognizable jacket: fancy to say the least, yet it remained conspicuously unzipped, revealing a small amount of the golden yellow lining from within. Fitting his outrageously sized feet were a pair of what looked to be comfortable dinner shoes, which had pointed black tips as normal for his taste in fashion, but were otherwise completely white.
Among all this, what really got the Commander's urgent attention - not necessarily for the better - were the doctor's hands. They were colored white, as usual, but not because he was wearing gloves. Rather, they looked to be... gauntlets? Perhaps that was not the right word to use, as they looked too compact to be sufficiently clunky for the description, so much so that they could tuck into his black cuffs without much cluttered space... However you would choose to name them, they were visibly made of metal, and they were clenched fiercely, in sharp contrast to his jovial mannerisms. The same mannerisms that had already stood above the Commander before he knew it, his shadow having consumed the other man's entire being.
"Sorry for the check in on such short notice," Eggman began, and not even a second in, he had betrayed his apology with an intoxicating glee that failed to match with the utter carnage that surrounded them. "I would have notified you in advance, but I'm afraid my plans have went along a little faster than expected!" He couldn't help but wiggle his eyebrows, as a not-too-subtle nod to his cruel joke.
"Wha..." The Commander had to let out a strained cough before he could start over. "What... what is the meaning of all this? What are you here for?"
"What am I here for?" Eggman shook his head, as if the answer should have been apparent from the very start, even to such lesser intellects. "To check everything's good, of course! Metal and myself have booked a much deserved holiday for... myself! We couldn't head off without doing a teensy little test run beforehand! Just in case, you know?" Eggman stretched his arms without a care in the world, as if he hadn't just sicced Metal onto the entire military. "No use going straight to Viridonia without a clue, after all!"
"Test run...? Viridonia...?" The Commander could barely choke out his words, as the after effects of Metal Sonic's prior assault had started to take their toll on his weakened body and mind. "What are you talking about? For what reason did you attack us this time?"
The scientist did not respond at first. Instead, after a pause, he began to walk clockwise around the other man. One hand was clasped behind his back, while the other opened up in front of him, revealing more detail of his brand new gauntlets in the process. Their fingertips, painted with the same coat of white as the rest of the device, were ever so slightly pointed, where you could mistake them for small claws if you were further away. It seemed excessive to the Commander, though for all the doctor's notoriety when it came to design, he suspected it had a purpose beyond merely looking intimidating. It was also noted that the palms appeared to have a small selection of buttons on them, though their purpose remained unknown. Perhaps that was for the better.
"Oh, nothing," he shrugged, and glanced at Metal, who predictably maintained his stone cold glare at their mutual enemy. He flexed his shoulders casually, as if daring for someone to put him in his place. "You did absolutely nothing, ho ho! There's no personal strife between us, your little band of merry men didn't cause any trouble for me this time! But between you and me..."
As Eggman continued to monologue, a rookie soldier had slowly crawled into sight, careful to not attract the doctor's attention. He had suffered some damage from earlier, but held on tightly to his semi-automatic rifle, determined to avenge his comrades. Eggman kept at it all the while, even as he stopped in front of the Commander once more. He knelt down, and clasped the man's head with one hand, to which the wounded individual slightly jolted from how icy the gauntlet's touch was.
"I couldn't let you interfere," he said matter of factly. He remained casual, but there was an edge in his voice. The soldier was creeping closer to him from behind. "I've experienced a lot in my lifetime, and now I'm putting all of that experience to use. As I should."
"You won't win," the G.U.N. leader muttered, only half conscious by this point. "You're just a lunatic, a disgrace to humanity..."
This would be the part where Eggman's anger took over. The part where Eggman would get offended by such a dismissal of his unparalleled prestige. Yet it never came. Eggman's smile did not disappear, though the corner tip of his mouth might have twitched. He took a moment to continue.
"Things are going to be very different this time, Commander." He talked as cheerfully as ever, yet it also sounded as though he gritted his teeth towards the end. "This time, there won't be any miscalculations. Allow me to demonstrate with..."
Without warning, the scientist leaped back onto his feet, swerved in the opposite direction at frightening speed for an ordinary human being, and unhesitantly aimed his left gauntlet with a sneer. Before the rookie could fire his rifle, a surge of electricity was unleashed upon him, courtesy of the gauntlet's clawed tips. The assault was swift, though the agonized scream that followed was not friendly company. Even Metal Sonic had taken time off from its intense staring to look to its right at this pitiful sight. Within seconds, the rookie had collapsed.
"Worm," Eggman growled, insulted by the brazen stunt he had just thwarted. For a chump to believe it would really be that simple... the great Ivo Robotnik would never be put down so easily. Not then, and definitely not now. People really ought to know better. He'll make sure of that when they bow before him.
"He thought he could get the drop on me? What a load of..." As he returned his direction to that of the Commander's, he was quick to notice that the veteran had collapsed onto the scorched ground himself. It would seem that the injuries were finally too much for him to persevere through. This actually seemed to disappoint Eggman, as his moustache promptly drooped in acccordance with the frown on his face.
"Are you kidding me? He didn't see that awesome move I just did?" He placed his hands on his hips in annoyance. "I didn't even get to finish my speech! Couldn't he have let me finish BEFORE he passed out on me? Bah!" He raised an eyebrow at Metal, who stared back in return, waiting dutifully for any further orders, preferably of the cutthroat variety.
"I guess we were too much for this geriatric to handle," he lightly nudged the body with his foot in frustration. "Ah well, them's the brakes. I know another audience that's out there waiting for me. I'm sure THEY'LL be much more willing to hear me discuss the important things in life."
"Did you... kill him?"
Metal's vision turned to its left, and Eggman quickly looked up and straight ahead, as a new voice called out to him. It was not a voice that would have been recognized by the Commander, had he still been conscious, but Eggman's knowing raise of the chin indicated this was far from the case with him. This voice was a lot smoother than Eggman's, a lot younger than his... maybe a little effeminate as well, yet no less decisively masculine.
"Normally I would," the rotund one mused, as he looked back down at the fallen leader. "Less pests to spray, the better. But with this one..." His smile slowly returned. The idea was just too good to pass up on.
"Leave him," he insisted. "If he dies, then I won't care, meaning no one important will care. If he doesn't, he'll undoubtedly tell all that he saw, and then..."
"You know their best agents will come after you if they find out about this, sir."
The person who the voice belonged to emerged from the shadows. Whether he had been there the whole time was a mystery that only he and his conversation partner knew, but what was arguably more surprising, however, was that he was neither a human like Eggman, or a robot like what he was famous for. Rather, he was a platypus.
A white platypus, to be exact, albeit with a grey beak, as well as grey streaks that ran through his curls, which as it turned out, were slicked all the way to the side of his head. He wore a waistcoat similar to Eggman's, though unlike the taller specimen, his was buttoned tightly shut, and it was colored a disarming deep pink, in contrast to his pointed shoes. The sleeves of the shirt that he wore underneath were purple and puffy, and a single black glove was on his right hand, complete with a slot that remained empty... currently.
"Of course they will, Starline," Eggman replied, as he smugly crossed his arms. "Exactly what I'm counting on."
"I see. My apologies," the platypus bowed out of respect. "It was not my intention to doubt your... magnificence, sir." He seemed to have had some minor trouble completing his sentence, as he focused perhaps too intently on the subject of his field of vision.
Eggman simply grinned back at him, not dismayed in the slightest. Not openly, anyway, which was rather unlike him. For anyone else, his jolly countenance would be a sign of misery to come. For this new recruit, it was an honor to see in person... though he was less keen on being judged by Metal's frozen scowl.
"You still have a lot to prove yet," he started, as he clasped his hands in front of his chest. "It's not often I employ someone, not when my own insight is all I ever need, but I brought you along because I could tell you've got a talent! Let it be known that in this great wide world of ours, out of all the drooling imbeciles that run rampant within it, your knowledge and devotion elevates you so far above them that you can be confidently described as... average... so your contributions will serve my audacious and brilliant plan well! I'm sure you understand what a privilege it is to be recruited by the greatest genius who has ever lived, yes?"
"Absolutely."
"And you'll make sure to obey my every command, exactly as I wish for them to be carried out?"
"Indubitably."
"And what else?"
"...Destroy anyone who opposes you."
"And pray tell, mister Starline... who shall dare to oppose me?"
To the untrained ear, this would seem like a downright foolish question for a man with a history as his to ponder. Surely he would never need to ask, for he should know the answer before it could even register in his memory banks, nevermind all of the relevant associates that have only multiplied over the years.
However, as the doctor's roaring cackle echoed throughout the freshly decimated G.U.N. headquarters, it was all too clear that he was no fool. He said it with full intent. He knew exactly what he was doing. And Starline knew it too.
He didn't forget about him. On the contrary, he had him specifically in mind. And as the three of them finally began to walk away, with Metal throwing one last hateful glare at the now-unconscious Commander, the doctor's laugh never slowed down, and continued to echo in the distance even as the crackling of fire took over.
It was time to pay Viridonia a visit.

sorry for traumatizing you with my boyfriend's trauma. wanna date???
The obligatory Scaramouche X Reader X Haypasia fic. Someone had to do it smh
Pardis Dhyai was pretty nice, for a research sight. It was nothing like the Fatui labs that the Doctor, the Marionette, and their respective henchman had for lairs, but it certainly had all the basic equipment for all Amurta researchers. And it did seem pretty relaxing too; you would've mistaken it for a park to bring your children too if it wasn't for all the scholars.
But you weren't here for sightseeing, or for the scholars....On second thought, you were looking for a scholar. Luckily, the person guarding that certain scholar had just finished doing a temperature check and was making his way to a rented room for the night. Upon looking at the fox-human hybrid, you had to remember you were in Sumeru, not Inazuma, otherwise you would've mistaken them for a youkai.
After doing an extra check for scholars still up in the late of night completing their assignment (there were none), you snuck into the giant glass building (super stealthily and super quickly, might you add).
The scholar was lying on the bed, not showing any sorts of distress in her slumber. The pillow was trapped in a suffocating embrace, and to Celestia you longed to be in those arms. Instead, you just sat next to her, the seat cushioned with pillows for aesthetic rather then tranquil rest.
While your boyfriend, the Balladeer, was busy getting 'dolled up' (you praised yourself for the pun for days on end), you decided to explore Sumeru. While the Akademiya had resources to rival writers for the Steambird, the whole lot of them were boring and arrogant. And for people who go on and on about how Sumeru was a land of wisdom, their obsession with the long dead Rukkhadevata was ironically the most stupidest thing you ever saw.
Luckily, you met someone from the Akademiya who didn't have coffee beans for brains. Haypasia was a great friend, always listening to what you had to say and offering to teach about Sumeru's culture. She was funny, and she was kind, and she had your heart race the same way Scaramouche did and ah shit did you fall deep.
To be fair, how could you not? She was just.......everything sweet dropped into this world. You loved her curiosity, you loved her face whenever she was focusing, and you could get lost in her eyes. Of course, you talked to Scaramouche about this, not keen on being his 'fourth betrayal'.
Thankfully, while he stated that he had never seen Haypasia before, he had to admit that your smiling and flustered face was something he'd fight for. The Balladeer did not care for monogamy, and, as long as they fit his standards, wouldn't mind another lover. (He said this much more harshly, but you knew what he meant)
From the corner of your eye, you witnessed a grey phantom, disappearing and evaporating all over the glass floors, with the gentle breeze of the night making the veil behind the figure flow.
Think of the devil.
"She's cute, isn't she?" You spoke up, getting Scaramouche's attention while also making sure Haypasia didn't wake up. Luckily, she didn't; you assumed that her failed connection to Irminsul wayed heavily on her conscious, or that the hybrid for before had given her sleeping pills.
"You know I do not care for the appearances of mortals," Scaramouche stated, turning his head around to look at you, "To do so is ridiculous."
"But......?"
"She and I are now connected."
Oh.
"Care to enlighten me on how, oh mighty Shouki no Kami?" You teased, pointing at The Balladeer's spiritual projection. You hoped it was nothing bad; you truly did care for Haypasia, and you didn't want her to suffer due to Irminsul's current predicament.
Scaramouche rolled his arms, arms crossed, but answered regardless. "You said that she was attempting to connect to Irminsul, correct?" You nodded. "It seems that in her attempt to do so, her consciousness connected to mine. She has gazed upon my life back when I was the kabukimono, and could do so again."
You lurched back in surprise, luckily with the chair not falling over as you did so. "So, like, she knows everything? Or at least, she knows about your......past?"
"Correct."
You rubbed your hands through your head. Whoever this hybrid was, you were lucky they found Haypasia before the Sages did, otherwise they likely would've exiled her just like the other scholars. Haypasia didn't deserve that. The desert was anything but merficful, even less so to exiled students.
"I understand why you like her so much."
Now that took you out of your thoughts. You raised an eyebrow at Scaramouche , who was looking down at the sleeping girl.
"She has seen me at my most pathetic; before I found the truth of the stars. And yet, she recognizes my supreme divinity and righteous place in this world. Her worship has not been faltered despite that idiot's best attempts," He sneered, "And sees me as what I was supposed to be."
He stepped forward, getting closer to Haypasia, who still showed no signs of stirring awake. "She is what you said she was. Determined, kind, and not like those arrogant Sages who think they're better than me. Even the Jester is now an ant compared to my power. She knows this."
A phantom hand gently pressed down on Haypasia's head, and there was a glimmer in Scaramouche's eyes as he did so. "My first follower....."
"What am I, chopped ham?" You scoffed in jest, arms crossed as you still sat down. To be jealous of Haypasia was ridiculous. You had no idea that she had connected to Scaramouche of all people; you just saw being taken to Pardis Dhyai for recovery because her attempt to be one with Irminsul had gone wrong. (You happened to see it as you went to your decided meeting place. You were not stalking your crush).
"You're an idiot, that's what you are." Scaramouche rolled his eyes with pretend animosity, as he took his hand off of Haypasia's head and crossed his arms again.
"She will be with us," He announced. "She will be our most respected follower. She will be our side as we rule together."
"We? You never told me that I was joining you in divinity," You narrows your eyes, "And what if Haypasia doesn't want to be a god? She's basically stuck in a coma right now and I don't want to do anything she wouldn't want."
"You really are stupid," Scaramouche sighed. "Do you think that I'd allow you in such a vulnerable decision until I was sure I could get the Doctor to get his gross hands away from you? He may be helping me, but I do not want him putting his hands on you." He seemed to snarl at the thought of it. "Though.......I do suppose we could wait until she's awake. She will still be one of us regardless."
"Okay, okay," You put your hands up in front of you, "I know I already told you my feelings about her before.....this," You gestured to the comatose girl, "But how do we know she actually like likes us? Even if her focus is on you, she's still technically insane, as much as I hate to say it. Are we sure she's in the right mind to love any of us? I don't wanna force her into anything. That'd be fucking gross."
"Just as she is connected to my mind, I am connected to hers. Not only does she reciprocate your romantic feelings as well, but she does not care for stupid terms to define her feelings, she does not mind romantic relationships with more then one partner."
Great. Haypasia looked into the backstory of your traumatized Fatui boyfriend, and the traumatized Fatui boyfriend looked at Haypasia's romantic interests. Though, of course, your heart was leaping at having heard that Haypasia also loved you. Honestly? It wasn't just leaping, it was probably doing some backflips as well.
"And as for her devotion to me," Scaramouche continued, "It appears she didn't connect into Irminsul that far like the other scholars. Unlike them, she's not entirely lost in her own world, she's still capable of cognitive functions, recognising people through face and voice, knows when a situation could be dangerous, and so fourth. Her worship of a god is not the same as loving one."
.....You guessed you couldn't argue with that, but-
"Besides, the Sages already found a way to lessen the effects of Irminsul induced insanity ages ago."
If you had a drink, you'd be spitting it out. "Pardon?"
He scoffed. "Like you said, they're arrogant and disregard anyone who isn't useful to them." He looked away from you as he spoke. Scaramouche was likely speaking on his own experiences with the Raiden Shogun. "They couldn't get rid of it entirely, but they'd be able to give them stable and happy lives without exiling them to the desert. They just don't care."
.......Yeah, that made sense.
"The Doctor has given me enough power to even cure Irminsul of it's withering. When I have ascended into a fully-fledged God, I will do so. Then, I will give you enough my power so you can ascend alongside by me. By then, Haypasia should be awake."
"That's a mighty plan. Sure it will work?"
"Are you doubting me?"
You giggled. It was so hard to take him seriously whenever he was angry. "You know I'm not. I'm not that much of an idiot."
Scaramouche sighed, putting a hand to his head. "Sometimes, you make me doubt that." He sat down on your flowerbed beside your chair, though his astral form didn't cause for any flowers to be crushed.
You playfully elbowed him. "Don't be an asshole," You grinned up at him. "What if Haypasia wakes up and the first thing she hears is her god being a complete potty-mouth?"
He glared at you, but did not respond.
".......So, we can agree on both wanting Haypasia to be in our relationship?"
"We just discussed that we did, dumbass."
"Just making sure."
Scaramouche grabbed your hand, and for someone who was currently appearing in an astral projection with his real body being inside a giant mech right now, his hand touching yours didn't feel weird. It felt natural; there was no tingling of your bones or goosebumps down your skin as he did so.
You leaned over to Haypasia, patting her head like Scaramouche did before. "Sweet dreams." You smiled, and your heart jumped at seeing how peaceful she looked.
The night was calm, the stars out and the breeze gentle. Haypasia's dreams were indeed sweet, you fell asleep on phantom Scaramouche's shoulder, and Scaramouche himself felt more power flowing through the Shouki no Kami.
Everything was going splendidly. Sooner or later, Scaramouche would ascend into a god, and you would be by his side too. Then, Haypasia would join as well, and then you three would become the Gods of Sumeru.
Though the kabukimono had once wished to no longer have a heart, the thought of throwing you to the side made him want to throw up. And after you had told him about the scholar who you were interested in as well, and gaining a connection with that same scholar, he didn't want to leave her behind.
Scaramouche would never be abandoned again. He wouldn't be, not when you loved him so much and he could feel Haypasia's devotion in the back of his mind.
And in that moment, with you on his shoulder and Haypasia sleeping tranquilly next to the both of you, he closed his eyes and wished for a happy ending.

Dr. Jerkyll and Mr. Hyde (Yandere Leech twins x reader)
Tumblr media
An au idea I had came to mind based off @yandere-wishes Victorian twst story and @yandere-romanticaa 's Extraterrestrial story.
I love these two eels and I'm late on their birthday but it's still their birthday for me.
The clear moonlit sky shown brightly over the waters of the ocean. As yet another scream echoed within the streets of a supposedly vacant city.
The detective woke up with a start but not from the scream, but from the ringing of her phone. A report she had been writing stuck to her face from the humid atmosphere. She picked it up getting a few details from Idia, who was panicking on the other side of the line. Considering he worked in the criminal department at the desk and didn't have to see any bodies whatsoever you would think he'd be calm when trying to say what happened.
"Calm down Idia. Tell me what happened?" Her voice was gentle since yelling wouldn't help his nerves.
"Therewasanothermurder! Theyclaimedanothervictim!" He spoke so fast that his words wouldn't be understood by most but she was used to this with him and every word was caught by the detective's ears.
"Where's the crime scene?"
"In front of Sam's shop on Crystal Road, Ms. Y/n L/n." The voice of Idia's younger sibling popped up a contrasting his older brother's cowardly behavior.
He wanted to be just like his older brother so he spent his days in the office with him. Though there were times when Idia tapped out and his brother had to step in.
"Thank you both. I'll head their now." She hung up after hearing a farewell from both brothers.
The candle was long out and she grabbed her gun, notebook, and pen within the darkness, before venturing out the confines of her home.
When she got there a crowd had surrounded one spot in particular.
Cater was already there taking photos of the scene as it was his job being a forensic photographer.
"Hey, hey! Y/n's here, make way!" The crowd parted for her as soon as he announced her presence.
Whispers were muttered as she passed through into the middle of the crime scene. Mostly about how she hadn't caught this killer yet. She ignored them though and went on to meet with her coworker.
"It never ceases to amaze me how your always here first Cater, if anything you should be a suspect." She started off saying to her compatriot.
"Can't help it if I want to stay informed dectective, I just want to stay informed before anyone else." His smile on his face was out of place as he took another photo of the corpse.
"Who was it this time?"
"Such a poor fate to befall dear Monsieur Heart." A new voice joined in the conversation.
"Rook, I see you've arrived but can I get their name please?" The detective said sighing at the theatrics of her friend.
"His name was Ace Trappola, I can't imagine how Monsieur Spade must be feeling about this tragedy." Rook feigned a sorrowful look.
"Oh yeah A-Deuce kun were inseparable, I feel sorry for him. Think he knows already?"
"If there as inseparable as you say Cater then I suppose not, he isn't here yet otherwise I'm sure he'd cause a scene." She noted.
"That doesn't make him a suspect though right? I mean sure he's been a suspect in many crimes before, but Deuce kun far too soft!" Cater was a bit frantic at the thought alone.
"No, I doubt it was him he wouldn't want to disappoint his mother with something as vulgar as murder, he cares for her far too much to do that." That calmed his worries.
"You know I've heard Monsieur Heart have many laments on how his delivery to Roi d' Rose-" Cater didn't let Rook finish.
"RIDDLE?! No way he did this! Have you seen how strict his mother is? Just waltzing in their office and so much as suspecting her son is a one way ticket to hearing her screams! Besides I doubt his mother would even let him out this late anyway, he's always about following the rules set in place for him." Cater says with an imaginary sweat that could have formed to express his fear and anxiety.
"True, and I can't afford another headache from that lady, but we could get some valuable intel from him about Trappola's demeanor the past few days seeing as it may be a pattern in the serial killers motives."
"What about Sam? He's gotta know something considering the murder occurred in front of his shop." Cater's gaze went toward the shop to the right of them.
"Ah the shop keep, a wonderfully eccentric man with many secrets." Rook stated his opinion of him from what he gathered on his own free time.
"Says the French man whose got info on everyone from stalking them on the street." The detective says shaking her head at the strange man next to her who happily smiled at her statement.
"I wouldn't call it that more so getting to know my prey more personally." She sighed hearing his reply.
"A crime analyst such as yourself is such a good cover up!" Cater's response made her sigh once again.
She shook her head toward her coworkers. They took their job in a mild manner but beyond that they did do well to get it done. Even though the means of how they did it were very much questionable in her eyes.
She looked toward the ground seeing the body of the former male right on the cusp of adulthood. His orange hair was a bit disheveled and the looks of shock on his face petrified in time.
"Ah, the dectective is already using those perceptive eyes of hers." Cater's words fell on deaf ears as she was examining the crime scene closely.
"As expected of Reine de la déduction, such dedication in her work. Très bien!"
Their bones were disfigured, just like the last person. No one has this type of strength it didn't make any sense. The only lead that was given but she noticed a glowing substance in his mouth.
"Cater, Rook, I need some confirmation. Out of all the other times these cases have been appearing there weren't any liquid substances to be found beside the occasional blood right?"
"You are correct."
"Yeah, nothing else to be found from what I could see." They both confirmed her suspicion.
She had to go talk to Jade again, but first thing tomorrow she had to interrogate Sam, as well as Riddle Rosenhearts which was sure to be headache on her part.
* * *
His mother was an agitation to say the least. During her entry into his mother's office and upon stating the reason for her entry, Riddle's mother had already hated her the moment she finished speaking. Yelling and hollering about how her son would never commit such a crime even though the dectective never stated he was a suspect in the slightest.
She only asked to question the behavior of Mr.Trappola as of late before he met his end. He was under no suspicion whatsoever but she wasn't having that and kept screeching until her son had to calm her down.
It was much more pleasant afterwards but the headache Y/n had in the early morning just listening to her screeching didn't disappear throughout the whole endeavour.
Just before she bid him farewell he apologized deeply for his mother's behavior with a red face of complete embarrassment. To which she replied it was alright and thanked him for his time. Unfortunately though she had to bear that burden on her own as Rook and Cater had their own jobs to partake in analyzing the other crimes and investigating the trend within the series of murders. It was unfair but that was life. By the time she exited their establishment it was already in the afternoon a little after lunch.
Next was to venture to Sam's shop which was right where the crime had taken place. The body was already removed and taken to forensics, so the only thing left was a broken street lamp.
"Ah, well if isn't the dectective, I believe I already know the pleasure of seeing you here on this fine day," He tipped his hat to her with a smile on his face.
"Afternoon to you too Sam. I would like to acquire any information you have on the murder of Ace Trappola that occurred last night, in front of your establishment."
"Such a shame the little demon, was too young to have bite the dust. But you know as well as I my information comes with a price."
"A thousand madols should suffice a description of what you saw right?" She questioned handing a stack of the paper currency to which he smiled at.
"All I know is that last night was certainly something else. I heard a smash of a lamppost outside my window, up on the second floor. Shop was already closed though. When I looked down I saw what looked to be two silhouettes outside the window. One way taller than the other though, I recognized of Trappola on the ground and something glowed within the hands of the killer, a vial of sorts. He poured it down the throat of the little demon, but Trappola put up a good fight before it was over."
"Over? Can you specify?"
"As in he was left on the ground for dead, it looked like he was choking on whatever was consumed. The killer held him tightly after he realized he was choking. It was similar to a hug but one that was more deadly than a normal one. After he dropped him to the ground and walked away laughing hysterically at who he squeezed."
"And you weren't going to go to the police to inform that you had witnessed the murderer of a serial killer!" Her voice had raised a bit in volume as her agrevated state didn't alleviate since earlier in the day.
"I'm not one to get involved in others private life, Dectective. I've got a business to run." She understood his point though exhaling a sigh through her nose.
"Right. If you want to keep your life you keep your mouth shut. Alright I thank you for the intel." The dectective closed her notebook after writing down many notes on the case.
"Pleasure doing business with ya, Dectective! Best of luck to you as well! You'll be needing it more than anyone." She was only able to hear the first part of it not when his cheery demeanor went away.
She walked out to her final destination of the day, a close friend of hers. His name was Jade Leech, a smart man that excelled in pharmaceuticals just as did Riddle's mother but in a more different sense. His potions were revolutionary with in the subject of alchemy and his botany skills and knowledge made his fame and fortune.
He's helped her on countless cases before, with his expertise in potions it aided in knowing key components to solving head bangers such as this.
As she reached the door of his manor she knocked before waiting a moment or two to see his smile.
"Dectective, how pleasant it is to see you today." He flashed his signature smile toward me, with pearly teeth straight and white.
"It's nice to see you too Jade. May I come in?"
"Your always welcome here, though I must say you do look exhausted how about I put on some tea?" He made way for me to step in.
"You don't have to Jade."
"I insist, naturally I should show good hospitality to all my visitors. Your free to take a seat wherever you like."
"So how are your mushrooms doing?" She said starting up conversation on a favorable topic for him. He was in the kitchen that connected to the empty dining room, that opened the way to the living room where she sat.
"I imagine you didn't come here just to speak on how my mushrooms are doing alone?" He spoke it in the form of a question but he already knew the answer with a knowing smile on his face that she couldn't see but knew he had.
"You are right, my apologies, I actually require your aid with a substance that could be the key in solving the recent serial killings." She watched as he walked in with two plates in hand.
"It's fine, I'm glad you can come to me for help." He served the two plates, one in front of her and the other in front of himself.
They had pasta on both of them with the mushrooms I mentioned. It smelled heavenly. Her stomach growled loudly which caused Jade to laugh lightly.
"I'm assuming you haven't eaten much of anything have you?"
"No I had too much work to do today." She blushed looking away from him.
He sighed making a small 'tsk' noise.
"You have got to take better care of yourself, that dedication of yours is admirable but otherwise you'll drive yourself into an early grave with that sort of work ethic." He chastised.
"Ah, I just don't have the time these days, I'm sorry for all the trouble you have to go through for me." Her eyes traveled toward the food with a slight guilty feeling.
"You speak as if your some sort of burden on me, quite the contrary I worry for your safety and yours alone. You may be a skilled dectective but, I care for your well being first."
Her face grew to an intolerable temperature that would make people think she was sick. She was very much surprised by his words. The first time anyone has ever said anything that endearing to her in a while.
So to ignore the feeling of her heart racing she picked up her plate kept her eyes trained on it. Her expression looked to resemble pouting.
"L -let's just eat then shall we?" She stumbled on her first word internally cursing as she heard Jade's laughter.
. . .
After they had eaten Y/n had spent some time explaining to Jade the situation with Trappola's murder and handed him the vile of the substance found at the crime scene.
He listened attentively and chimed in few times for clarity. He said he would have the analysis of the substance done within two days. Soon enough she was on her way out the door even though he had offered her to stay the night she had declined politely. It wasn't weird since they were close friends with one another anyway. Not to mention there were times where she would fall asleep while waiting for Jade to finish his analysis and he would be nice enough to place her in a room.
"Thank you Jade, I would have loved to spend more time with you, but I've been really busy as of late with all these murders." She thought for a moment and then looked up at him. He was a bit tall, scratch that he was tall, of course so she got on the tips of her toes and placed a kiss on his cheek to show him her gratitude.
Jade's face lit a flame, cheeks flushed as he touched where her lips made contact.
"I'll see you later." Was all she said before walking away briskly passed the gates of his house not looking back.
She would've heard the glass breaking inside the male's house in which indicated another presense inside.
. . .
Two days had passed and the dectective was trying to piece together what was the link between these series of murders.
She had to go check with Lilia who is the pathologist that had completed an autopsy on all the bodies of the victims. As eccentric as he was he was more tolerable than the combo of intricacies that are her co workers. Then again everyone in this office was weird in their own way.
"Ah, dectective what great weather we're having today, is it not?" He said with a smile on his face.
Unlike Jade he was significantly shorter than him so she had to look down a little to see him or stand a few feet away.
"It is indeed, Lilia. You seem to be in a good mood today."
"That is because I have made a breakthrough on today, while working through the night." His smile grew and the magenta eyes affirmed his happiness toward the news he had to share.
"On Mr. Trappola's body, I have found something strange but interesting nevertheless! A scale and not only that, but there is something you should see for yourself!" He brought her over to said man's corpse luckily the bottom half of his body is covered and the top half as well up to his shoulders.
Lilia grabbed one of his tools for dissection and beckoned her to come closer as she showed her what he had found. That's when she saw it.
Lilia had a small knife and maneuvered it to a small spot itself, lifting up a small piece of skin that was already slit and based on the size of the knife and similarity to another a butter knife it wouldn't have been able to cut the skin.
"There are two more like this on this side of his neck and three on the other side. So it seems like they're gills.
"What about the other bodies?"
"I spent the night examining those as well and they all have the same gills but Trappola here is the only one who had a few scales."
"So maybe the substance has something to do with these oddities on him. Trappola probably ingested some."
"It's quite possible that whoever this murderer is trying to test the substance on the person instead of themselves but based on Trappola's few scales being the latest attempt it seems they are making improvement for whatever the elixir's use is. These strange characteristics it reminds me of some fairytale I heard some time ago." He drifted off sounding like an old man reminiscing.
"Enlgihten me then Lilia." Knowing just how Lilia liked to ramble on about myths and legends like he'd seen them and lived through their stories.
"Well if you insist but this one involves merfolk certainly you've heard of mermaids and such right these scales on legs don't they remind you of those types of things. Gills on their necks so that half people half fish would gain the ability to breath underwater."
"Ah right but this is reality. Seeing is believing though right? Who knows though maybe they could help with the case." She was skeptic hearing about a bunch of lore that could just be coincidental but she knew better than that. Coincidents were more than just preordained.
. . .
Now back at Jade's manor the dectective was contemplating what in the world such a myth could play a factor in a murder scene. It just didn't make any sense as to why the person would need such a potion. What type of person would you have to be to go that f-
She couldn't finish that thought since Jade had opened the door.
"Ah, Jade good day to you-" the dectective looked up toward him to see the tall man staring at her for a bit longer than a few seconds. She did notice the strand of black hair usually on his right was on the left.
Unconsciously she reached up and was about to grab it before her hand was grabbed.
"Just what are you doing little dectective?" His voice got a bit darker towards the end sending shivers down her spine for a second before she saw his eyes in front of her and thought to herself for a second.
'Was his gold eye always on the right?'
A slight tighter squeeze on her hand woke her up form her head. She was reminded of the situation again. She could feel his breath closer to her face, she was internally malfunctioning and was losing her train of focus.
"Ah, I was, I was just trying to flip your black strand of hair." She stuttered and didn't internally curse herself this time since the proximity was still a factor in her brain turning to mush.
Jade suddenly smiled a wide one at that. Usually it'd be small and polite even when teasing he'd have a signature closed eyed smile keeping the adorable image of his flustered dectective in his head. But that wasn't the case this time. This smile was more menacing and sent bad news toward all who saw it.
Jade towered over her a bit more leaning to the right a bit toward her ear.
"Dectective do you know what you remind me of?" He questioned with a wide smile on his face.
He leaned in too close for comfort his breath could be felt on her right ear, while his hand on her shoulder kept her still.
"An adorable little shrimp! I could just eat you up!" He said it slow to build up suspense but it sounded serious and at the same time.
She pushed him away feeling her face heat up tremendously like an oven.
"J -Jade!" She couldn't find the words to describe what she just heard feeling beyond embarrassed and having her heart pound loudly that she swore he could hear.
"I -I have to go, thank you for your time!" She frantically stated about to run off but before she could Jade had grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.
"Aww can't I get a kiss too, little shrimp? Besides aren't you forgetting something?" She was too put off by the request to understand the sentence, but her mind did process part of the sentence and she remembered why she came here.
He held up a folded up sheet of paper in his hands toying with her holding it out of her reach.
How could he say that in such a cool voice? Her nerves couldn't handle so much teasing, it wasn't unlike him but it seemed he had gone over his usual gentlemanly behavior.
She hurriedly kissed him on the cheek in which he hadn't expected such a quick response to his question with a blush on his face becoming apparent and his frozen stature. She took the opportunity to jump up for the paper and ran from near the doorstep bidding farewell with the sheet of paper she had took in hand leaving a blushing male to watch her run out. His smile grew as he saw her frantic behavior, excitement bubbling within him.
He ran outside to the backyard of the mansion to go share his newfound happiness.
. . .
"Jade! Shrimpy is really cute!" The one male spoke to Jade in a tone of voice that was different than that of a few minutes, one that would have made him believe he was Jade himself.
There appearances were so similar, cept for the eyes and voice they were twins after all. With a little makeup and easy voice tone change one could hardly tell the difference anyway.
"I'd thought you'd understand if you saw her up close, Floyd." Jade was actually outside tending to his mushrooms in the garden while his look alike was entertaining the female detective that had left in a hurry. Though knowing his brother he could already assume how it must have went. Thinking of his little dectective being so flustered indefinitely brought out his sadistic side a bit.
"Can we keep her?" Floyd was so fond of her seeing her turn red, hearing her heart beating loudly, when she stuttered and that kiss on the cheek pretty much sealed the deal for him. She was so full of life and it brought excitement for him since he had to stay within the manor and avoid everyone. His behavior would be brash and scare many in the public eye not only that but his strength was inhuman which could cause problems for the person on the receiving end. Especially if you were trying to blend in.
They only came from the sea to see the lives of humans and unlike one of their friends who started a business in this day and age. Jade could survive on land with the ability to easily fool others with a facade whereas Floyd couldn't do that all the time and would probably squeeze someone for no reason other than boredom.
He didn't like being confined but after seeing the dectective sleeping on the couch once, he became curious as to who she was and why Jade spent so much time helping her. He knew for a fact his brother was not at all kind or generous. He was beginning to finally understand.
"We are but you have to be patient, you did give her both sheets of paper before she ran off correct?" His brother inquired finally seeing the hunger in his brother's eyes.
"Yup, she gave me a kiss just so she could distract me and take it. Shrimpy is so cunning she makes me want to squeeze her and pay her back for catching me off guard like that." The thought alone sounded enticing to Floyd, he couldn't wait to wrap his tail around her.
"I need you to go on another 'outing' tonight we have to perfect this first if we want to have any shot at having her to ourselves." Jade's words did nothing to damper his mood as his excitement reached a new level at the thought of showing his little Shrimpy off to everyone.
They were trying to get make a potion in which a human could become a sea creature, though it was easy for Jade to make one for himself and Floyd to come on land. The same can't be said for a person that's been human and has not a single gene that ties them to the ocean. Altering genetics is difficult and delicate and one mistake and their dear little detective could end up just like those poor unfortunate souls that were test subjects. Jade would never risk bringing her with them under the sea if he wasn't sure she'd make it.
"Okay~ Jade!" He said eagerly!
Now that Floyd was on board as well he would be more motivated and inclined to help, making it more easier for Jade as he wouldn't bother and complain so much about being on land longer.
. . .
She barely slept a wink after what had occurred. Every time she thought about her encounter with Jade she'd blush and bury her face into a pillow with frustration.
She tried before to get some of her work done before that, but that didn't work out too well as her mind drifted back to the same situation.
How close he was, the warmth of his breath against her ear, it was enough to make her brain stop functioning as if he were there again.
He seemed far more clingy than usual and she didn't know how to describe it other than strange. The notes from the alchemist were neat and precise and confirmed what Lilia and her examined on the bodies earlier in the day. But that wasn't the only thing that fell from the folded piece of paper. It was another small piece with neat cursive that matched the analytics on the other page.
'Would you like to spend your day off with me?'
Yet another reason she wouldn't be getting much sleep tonight.
. . .
After getting off from work she mentioned to her coworkers how Jade had offered her to spend her day off with him. Well they asked what she was gonna do with her day off since it was a rarity. First Cater asked her if she said yes to him yet. She said no and he understood from the get go that she was way too flustered to even respond to him. So he offered to go respond to him on her phone.
Rook congratulated her and went on a rant about love even though she tried to get through his head it wasn't a date. He asked what she would wear and she had no actual clue, in which Rook took that as an invitation to lend his aid and expertise.
He brought her to one of his friend's businesses. Cater said this place was highly recommended and that anyone whose anyone came to the place for a makeover. Specifically called Vil's beauty salon and boutique. She didn't understand how a person could have both but he seemed to be managing it fine. The said shop owner gave her one look and shook his head at her appearance.
His words were, "What a poor excuse for a girl to go on date with such a potato face such as that, it's shameful for not only you but the guy as well."
He had her try on clothes and by the end of it all, she felt different. Her head hurt from all the pulling around of her hair. She had put on enough clothes that she believed she was playing dress up. The outfit settled upon was different from her usual style and she had on makeup for the first time in her life.
Rook and Cater applauded Vil's work new appearance. The dectective had to admit that when she looked in the mirror she understood why Vil had such a reputation that Cater reccomended him highly.
She had to buy all of it of course and thanked Vil immensely for his efforts. There was actually a discount considering Rook brought her and she looked so 'pathetic'. He had a victoriously smug smile on his face and complimented his own efforts before waving the trio off. She thanked her two coworkers and bid them farewell, looking forward to the her first day off in a millennia.
When she met Jade the next day at his door he was plenty surprised by her appearance. He blushed with his eyes widened in astonishment at the change. Not to mention on the side of the manor Floyd could see just how beautiful she had dressed. It was going to be a long day especially with the heels she was wearing and trying her hardest to walk in.
. . .
The two friends went to Clover's bakery where Jade offered to pay for any sweets she wanted but it seemed they were terribly busy today and the line was a bit long not mention the place was packed inside so there weren't any tables to sit in.
Trey said it was nice to see her out and about for once not on dectective business for once. He said hello to Jade as they were all friends though she only knew Trey from Jade who introduced me. On rare occasions she would go to his bakery for something sweet. He handed them two cupcakes for free but also asked for a favor for him.
"Can you give deliever Riddle this tart please? His mother isn't home and he rarely ever gets anything sweet. I usually have Ace do it but-" He looks away for a moment.
"It's fine, Jade do you-"
"It's no trouble at all, we'd be happy to." He says with an enchanting smile on his face.
Trey handed over the box containing the tart to them and they made their way over to the clinic where Riddle resided.
On the way Jade and her conversed. She asked him why he agreed so quickly and he responded with his own unique answer.
"I know it's in your nature to help others. Yet another fond trait of yours."
It's more embarrassing hearing it for the first time and out loud no less. She could feel her face heat up again.
"Then there's when you turn into a cherry, one of my favorite traits." He said in a teasing tone with a smile toward her making the dectective flush even more and look away biting into her cupcake. To ignore the laughter emitting from her friend alongside her. Now this is the Jade she knows.
. . .
To be completely honest both of them enjoyed their time today with one another. They had delivered Riddle's tart which was almost a complete disaster.
Considering she asked Jade to be lookout in case his mother came back. Long story short she did arrive earlier than expected. After she and Riddle heard her voice outside the walls right near the entrance gate, the dectective told Riddle to go before she found him with the tart. Riddle was far more worried about her but the dectective told him she'd be fine.
By fine she meant ducking in the rose bushes for cover, there weren't any thorns surprisingly all been cut off. She waited for Riddle's mother to enter the house and had to scale the wall that was located next to an alleyway. Climbing up was the easy part but getting down was the hard part. She was wearing heels and that drop looked like she would possibly break a bone if she landed the wrong way.
She came to a decision to take a leap of fate and let her heels drop to the ground. One thought passed about Vil being pissed about her ruining them. She shook her head though and pushed herself off.
Before she could land someone else caught her. Looking up at her savior she saw the two colored eyes of Jade. Who smiled happily at making it on time.
"Ah look at that, my assumption was right. I thought you'd take this route out their place. It would've been such a shame if you were to get injured."
"Thank you Jade, can you put me down now please?"
"I don't think so I'd rather hold you like this until we get to the resturant for everyone to see." He playfully said watching her face heat up.
"Wha-? N -no I can walk on my own!"
"But you might have hurt something besides someone who can't get their words out is akin to a child so they must be coddled correct?" His teasing was endless today.
. . .
After leaving the Monstro Lounge a business run by one of Jade's friends, Azul Ashengrotto, the sun had already long set.
"Let me accompany you to your apartment, Y/n it's supposedly dangerous to be out after dark correct? Or you can just spend the night again?" He offered.
"I have to decline besides I've already used enough of your generosity I don't want to take it for granted. It's been such a great day thanks to you Jade, wish we could do these more often cept for the fact I have work tomorrow." She said in a relaxed tone.
Despite all the teasing she really did enjoy herself with the man. Having her heart beating loudly all day and having her brain short circuit was all too amusing to the man beside her, but out of everyone else even his own brother she made him feel strangely different. He couldn't explain the feeling itself, but he knew for a fact he'd never do all of this for someone he would use.
"You wish to spend more time with me? I can grant that you know." Jade had said that so simply and out of the blue but in a calm tone as well.
"There's no way you can do something like that but I appreciate the thought. It's fine though you've done enough already. I'd rather not burden you with a simple wish." She said with content.
Before he could respond to that statement fast footsteps hurried over to them both and made the pair turn around.
"I saw the killer it was Mr.Leech! He ran away from the scene!" His hair was a light green, eyes full of life and the loud tone of his voice was distinct.
"Sebek what do you mean you saw Jade kill someone he was with me the entire time!We just left the Monstro Lounge Azul saw us leave!" The dectective was defensive pertaining to justice being served, not to mention her friend was being accused and she had been with him the entirely of the day.
"No it was him I saw him Felmier was killed by him!"
"Felmier was killed?! You should've started with that! Take me to the body did you make sure he was dead?!"
. . .
Sebek had spread all about the town that Jade was the murderer even though the people who had seen us together throughout the day vouched. Trey, Riddle, Azul, Rook, and Cater even Vil had seen them together. Some actually took Sebek's words in and started to distrust Jade even so.
Vil and Rook two friends of Felmier had paid for the funeral costs as Epel's family was struggling. It was admirable to see the young man take on the vicious job as Vil's protégé. It really was a shame. Vil actually kept up a face and Rook though he looked upon the casket with blank like expression it was easy to tell he was out for blood. Jade did show up to pay his respects even though some glared at him and were suspicious.
Vil came up to dectecrive during the repass and told her to make that fool pay dearly. She would of course no argument there. Epel had been a good kid and may have been a bit brash but still good nonetheless. So was Ace.
And thus a good day ended on a sour note.
The dectective would have more sleepless nights. Lilia performed an autopsy on Epel's body with Vil standing by his side to make sure he didn't damage it. Even he was shocked to see more and more scales near his legs and gills that were more prominent.
These people were getting even more closer to there goal it seemed and she couldn't do a thing. She was so frustrated at that fact alone. Jade's analysis did help some though. Looking through shops though that sold what would be the components of the elixir nothing suspicious could be found in any of the people who had brought those items. Not to mention those who did didn't have all the items brought from another store, there was no reoccurring name in sales.
Speaking of Jade though she had begun to think back to Sebek. He wasn't the type to lie not on the name of the mysterious nobleman Malleus Draconia that he served would he ever embarrass himself to stain his name even slightly. That's what Lilia told her at least.
He said Jade had did the deed. But he was with her the entire time. Come to think Sam's description had also matched Jade's strange behavior before he gave her the analysis, but it didn't make sense. Jade was one person he couldn't be in two places at once!
Maybe someone was trying to frame him and to that extent she went to go question if he had any enemies of the sort. His response was that he didn't have any as far as he knew. That could have been a good lead.
With no others she sighed looking extremely worn out and Jade had a frown seeing her state. He insisted she stay the night and she denied saying she had to finish this case even more so now. He at least offered her a meal in which he put slipped some sleeping pills that made her fall asleep after eating.
Both pairs of two colored eyes gazed at her peaceful state not liking how she'd exhaust herself with so much work. Only for the sake of others and waste time and effort for people that isn't them. It was annoying to Floyd and agitated Jade more than he liked to admit. She did say she wanted to spend more time with them right?? If only she didn't have that stupid job. Even more a reason to push the date up to the next few days.
. . .
About a week and a half had passed and the dectective had no other leads still. It was killing her to say the least. All those unfortunate victims and those families and friends that mourned definitely weighed on her shoulders, guilt eating at her insides. Such a shame too within the end of the day she was at home taking an evening nap on her day off in which she didn't even go out today. Her phone buzzed waking her up from her slumber.
A text from Jade. It had been awhile since they last talked seeing as she fell asleep at his manor again even though she didn't intend to.
Rubbing her eyes she read the text from her bright phone screen.
'Meet me at the dock at 10 today.'
She wasn't as flustered as last time in fact she considered not going as this case took top priority. But this was Jade, her closest friend, and she hadn't taken much of a break as her nap was only 30 mintues probably the only amount of sleep she would get today if she was being honest with herself.
She reluctantly sighed and decided to get ready an hour before meeting him and walk there a bit early to have some time to her own thoughts. She thought about going to Vil's shop to buy another outfit but it would have been a waste if they were only meeting for a short time. Not to mention she didn't want Vil to come to the conclusion she was slacking off with Jade even though the bags around her eyes were very much proof.
As she sat at the edge of the dock admiring the stars the waves hitting the edge of the pier calmed her head. It was nice to say the least.
She wondered what Jade would have to talk about. She looked at her phone and saw it was 10:05, Jade being late was a surprise, hopefully if she waited a bit longer her worry would ease. That atmosphere could not have lasted any longer.
A slight wind blew and during that exact moment something pulled her under by her feet into the cold ocean waters below. She managed to hold her breath and open her eyes to see nothing but darkness even with the moon behind the clouds right about now only endless shadows were there.
She could barely hear but she could have sworn something swam by her. Arms touched her waist which almost made her scream for a moment though that was something suicidal. It touch the sides of her stomach and stayed there for a moment.
Even though she tried to struggle it was fruitless when the thing that held her tickled her sides making her open her mouth and succumb to breathing in water then choking soon after. That wasn't the only thing to occur since the next second lips were on hers and a fluid trickled down her throat along with the water that she was trying to swallow. The tongue of said thing dipped inside her mouth and would have made her gag if they hadn't pulled away.
She regretted it the moment they did cause she still could breath and with her mouth open she thought she would take her final breath. Both or what she assumes were two people backed off letting her go to meet her demise with her slowly closing her eyes. She didn't notice the glow of what transpired around her lower half of her body. She could finally take in some much needed breaths except her neck for some reason felt sore and she could no longer move her legs separately to try and swim up for air.
Looking down she saw the horrid image of a long tail with a fin on the end where her legs were supposed to be. The pain form her neck was from three newly formed slits on either side of her neck. Her fingers traced over them finding this whole situation unbelievable. When she finally came to her senses she found herself hearing voices as well.
"Shrimpy's still here! It worked, Jade!" A cheerful voice could be heard in the cold waters that surrounded her.
Something slimy wrapped about her new found lower half. Pulling her closer to be within someone's arms. They held her a bit too tight like all the air, water in her lungs could have been? Did she still even have those anymore she wondered? Even still the amount of pressure put on her by the creature hugging her was able to be felt.
He was laughing happily spinning around in circles with the former human female getting dizzy by the second.
"I can see that Floyd. How wonderful, but do take it down a notch she only was just turned after all." That voice was all too familiar. She couldn't help but say it aloud, but that couldn't be true.
"Jade?" Her voice was a whisper but of course he still heard it.
"Yes, my dear angelfish what is it?" He responded in an endearing tone that was calm despite the situation she was just put through.
She glanced toward the voice to see what appeared to be a creature similar to that of an eel by the tail. Her eyes trailed up to the sight of his face. It was him no doubt about it. The eyes were exact and so was the hair the only difference was the body and skin.
"Aw Shrimpy why'd you acknowledge him first? I'm here too." A voice whined in a more child like tone directly in her ear. It brought a shiver down her spine.
'Shrimpy?' That was unmistakably the nickname Jade gave her when he acted weird.
She turned toward his way and saw a sharp toothed grin on his face when she looked at him.
"Floyd you haven't even introduced yourself." Jade sounded like his normal self and this Floyd person was just the complete opposite of him.
"Oh right Shrimpy I'm Floyd, Jade's brother and your going to be with us in the sea from now on! Isn't that great? I can't wait to show you all my favorite places you'll love it!" He sounded so excited while dread built up in the mermaid.
"What do you mean stay here?! What have you done to me? Who, what even are you two?!" She said those words with malice laced into them having them both chuckle in response.
Jade had also wrapped his tail about her upper half restraining her further. He brought himself closer to her face, a smirk etched on to it.
"My, my, Y/n you did say you wanted to spend more time with me, isn't this what you wanted?" He tilted her chin up showing a sadistic smile on his face that only built up even more dread than what his brother had already.
"I didn't realize or expected anything like this and you know that! Why would you do this?! You! You-" She thought for a second processing all that had occurred the past couple of weeks.
"You killed them you gave them that exlixir that ended their lives. Every single one of them." This time it was the other brother's turn to speak.
"There's our little dectective she's so smart!~" Floyd just made her completely uncomfortable with how he would call her that nickname and whisper words in her ear.
"Why? Why would you do this?" She became defeated knowing turf like this was theirs and she stood no chance against them in the first place.
"Eh why? Is Shrimpy really that blind Jade?" Floyd mocked her with no remorse as tears streamed down the dectective's eyes at the thought of letting so many people down.
"Why? My dear angelfish haven't you noticed? We've become quite enamored with you. Hm no better word to put it is obsessed, at first it was just me but with Floyd's impatience I just had to get him in on understanding why we didn't go back home already. As for those people they were necessary for testing the elixir for this very moment. We couldn't have you dying on us afterall." He said with absolute calmness evoking rage within the mermaid.
She clenched her fists.
"So many were sacrificed, I should've died, instead." She murmured the last half but both the twin eels heard it.
There expressions turned dark and their tails gripped the female tighter startling her from her state of guilt.
"Eh, why would you say that Shrimpy, we can't have you leaving us. We finally got you all to ourselves and I haven't had much time with you, and yet you say you want to leave." Floyd's arms contracted her more than Jade's tail already, now she understood what it must have felt like for Trappola.
"He is right Y/n dear, we only want what's best for you and having you say that only makes our blood boil so please understand." Jade gripped her chin with a scary amount of strength. This was the first time he ever seemed so much more intimidating to her.
"Don't ever say something like that again am I clear?"
From that point on she was stuck between the twin eels who loved her so. She only wished she could have been able to listen to Sebek when he said the truth. Mr. Leech did do it just not the one she thought.

Kim Seokjin:
The lights in the huge bathroom flickered, your heavy breathing and whimpers evading your senses and making you feel suffocated. The cubicle in which you had locked yourself was at the end, the white door having a number of words scribbled on it. Unfortunately, there was no window for you to escape. And if you tried to leave the bathroom to make a run for the exit, you would definitely die. You didn't have any choice but to sit quietly and pray. Pray that no one finds you.
Flashback
You huffed and gathered all the sheets scattered in front of you. You hated how much you procrastinated things but it was now a deadly habit that you couldn't get rid of, no matter what you did. And especially college assignments. Who even worked on them before the deadline was announced. Absolutely not you.
You rubbed your eyes in frustration and opened your laptop while searching for your pen. It was pretty late at night and your favourite cafe was absolutely empty. But the owner knew you very well so she let you stay.
You let out a small 'ah' when you found your pen and just then, your bag started to fall off the seat. In order to hold your bag, you ended up letting go of the pen and it fell to the floor. You cursed as it rolled ahead towards the entrance of the cafe, a loud thud echoing through the quiet cafe when your foot hit the leg of the table. You winced and got out of your seat, stumbling to get your pen back. You were such a mess, it was almost embarrassing.
You sighed and bent down to grab your pen, your fingers meeting with someone else's. You frowned and looked up at the person who you had made contact with, a soft gasp leaving your lips on seeing a very very handsome stranger. He had black hair which were pushed away from his forehead and his dark eyes that stared into yours as if you were a painting at the Louvre. He was a lot more attractive than any boy you had ever met before.
Snapping out of your dreamland, you cleared your throat and stood up straight, looking at the floor as he picked up your pen and stretched out his hand towards you. With a soft smile, you took the silver pen from him and mumbled a 'thank you', oblivious to what you were doing to him.
"What are you doing here so late, doll?" His voice startled you as your eyes momentarily widened upon hearing the nickname before you calmed yourself down. You saw the men standing behind him, shivers running down your spine due to the dangerous aura they carried with them.
"Uh...just college stuff. I'll probably be staying up all night." You replied, smiling sadly at him. He hummed, his stare on your body going unnoticed by you. Your hands felt clammy all of a sudden and your body told you to run away. No matter how good looking this person was, he made you feel weird. He scared you. But he also made you feel warm.
Suddenly, he stretched his hand out to you, a gentle smile on his face to let you know that he wasn't gonna hurt you. "Kim Seokjin." He stated as you hesitantly placed your hand in his.
"Y/N Y/L/N."
He brought the back of your hand to his lips and kissed it softly, sending your heart into a spiral. Your cheeks felt warm as you harshly bit your lip to stop yourself from smiling. This was definitely the first time that a man was being so gentlemanly. Otherwise, all males that you met were mostly assholes.
"Nice to meet you, Y/N. Let's talk more after I finish this small meeting that I have. Is that okay with you?"
You thought for a moment, realising that you should definitely try to socialize. Being a foreign student was not very easy and you didn't have many friends yet. Your teachers always pressed everyone to make acquaintances with different people. They said your life would be easier. And you didn't have anything to lose either, right?
With a grin, you nodded your head and pulled your hand away, quickly gripping the hem of your top anxiously.
"I'd like that."
"Great. I'll see you in a bit then." And with that, he walked away towards a table at the corner of the cafe. With a deep breath, you got back to your seat and drowned yourself in your assignments.
You had ended up sleeping on the table with your head resting upon your papers. If you had known what was going to happen then you wouldn't have opened your eyes at all.
There was a loud yell and you flinched, your head immediately turning to see the table where Jin sat. But he wasn't sitting anymore, he was standing. Actually, everyone that came with him was standing and a man dressed in a red suit was doing the yelling. You frowned and hissed, his voice was too sharp and you didn't like it. It was giving you a headache. Jin's eyes flickered to you, a wave of sadness passing over his features. Something was very wrong. He looked apologetic. As if he had committed a crime.
Or was going to.
"I didn't wanna do this in front of her but you've given me no choice." You heard him say. You narrowed your eyes when you saw him holding something which was glinting in the dim lights. The air in the cafe was dense and once you figured out the object in seokjin's hand, you immediately regretted your decision to study in Korea.
Your dinner was begging to be let out, your stomach churning in fear as your heart pounded in your chest. Sweat beaded on your forehead and you felt dizzy. With all your strength, you pushed yourself on your feet and looked around the cafe. Your throat ran dry on seeing the two men standing by the entrance. You were trapped. There was no way you could leave.
Your eyes lit up with hope when you saw the door to the bathroom, your lips quivering as tears threatened to spill down your cheeks. You harshly wiped your eyes to get rid of the tears pooling in them and dashed towards the bathroom, praying mentally when no one followed you.
But what you didn't know was that Jin didn't want you to witness it. He didn't want you to see him at his worst. Unfortunately, you had already done that. You had seen the gun clenched in his fingers and you had seen the murderous look on his face. As much as he wanted to treat you right, he couldn't. Because there was no way you were gonna trust him anymore. He could only kidnap you if you rejected him. But he wasn't sure of that either.
End of Flashback
You placed the back of your hand on your mouth to stop your cries. But it was of no use. Your entire body was shaking since you heard the gunshot. What was supposed to be a tiring but peaceful night, ended up being a nightmare. A nightmare that you never thought you would have to witness.
You tried to distract yourself by looking at the flickering lights but that wasn't helpful either. You heard the door to the bathroom being thrown open followed by heavy footsteps. You noted the murmurs. It wasn't just one person. There were two. You pressed yourself against the wall and tightly clamped your mouth shut. You didn't wanna die. Not today.
But the universe seemed to be against you. As if on cue, the door to your cubicle was pushed open. You closed your eyes and screamed at the top of your lungs as two rough hands dragged you out. You thrashed in their arms, their hissing and curses making you more scared. You didn't wanna get on their nerves but what else could you do. You were probably gonna die anyway.
You opened your eyes to see him standing in front of you. His hands were still wrapped around that gun and you found yourself shivering on seeing the pool of blood in which a dead body lay. Tears were streaming down your cheeks continuously and there was no way to stop them. Your cried turned into whimpers under Jin's powerful gaze. He made you feel small. As if you were a prey and he was your predator.
"Please. Please don't kill me. I won't say a word. I'll forget that this night even happened. Just-just don't kill me…" you begged, your knees giving away when the two men left your arms. You absentmindedly rubbed your arms to try and soothe the pain that their fingers had left. Your eyes were fixed on the floor and you could do nothing but cry and beg. Hopefully, he'll pity you.
You saw his black boots come into your line of sight, your breath hitching when he placed his finger under your chin. You closed your eyes when he pushed your chin up so that he could see your face, his warm breath giving you some kind of relief.
"Let me see those eyes, doll." He mumbled, your eyes immediately obeying. You breathed heavily, his faint smile making you feel hopeful.
"I'll leave Korea if you want. But don't hurt me." You whispered, your voice cracking in the middle. Jin's eyes showed nothing but guilt and affection. His forehead creased as he frowned upon hearing your words. Why would you say that?
He gently shook his head and placed the gun on the floor before kneeling down in front of you. You were so fragile. He was afraid he'd hurt you. Jin didn't know why but he found himself infatuated with you. The second he laid eyes on you, his heart fluttered and he knew that you were the one. He had to have you.
You were shocked when he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into a warm hug. You inhaled his scent and found yourself relaxing on hearing his steady heartbeats. Your hands slowly held the lapel of his overcoat as he caressed your hair.
"If I wanted to hurt you, doll, don't you think I would have done that already?" He asked, rocking you back and forth in his arms. You bit your lip and nodded, realising that what he was saying was completely right.
"So there's your answer. I do not want to hurt you. I want to take care of you. Do you think you'll let me do that?" He questioned, pulling away from you and cupping your cheeks. You gulped, not knowing what to say.
Take care of you?
Why?
He didn't even know you.
When you didn't reply, he sighed and wiped away the tears that were drying on your cheeks. He pursed his lips and leaned closer to you.
"I promise I won't lay a finger on you. All you have to do is come home with me. I just need you to give me a chance to show you that I truly care." He said, his voice dripping with desperation that made your heart flutter. No one had showed so much interest in you. Even though this situation was drastic, you couldn't help but think that maybe he wasn't such a bad person. You hesitantly nodded at him.
"I-I'll go with you." You stated, blushing when he smiled at you. Without another word, he kissed your forehead, letting his lips linger there for a second longer. If you thought you had the right to change your mind later, you were wrong. The minute you had said those words, your fate was sealed. Kim Seokjin never gave away anything that he owned. And he owned you now.

Kim Namjoon:
You were relieved when you were asked to serve in the VIP lounge again, the tray of liquor steady in your hand. If you said you weren't traumatised by the man who kept catcalling you, you'd be lying. Him being sat at the bar was even worse, his hands always finding their way to your ass. There was a limit to how much you could tolerate, even if you were just a part time worker at the club. You sniffled, inhaling deeply and making sure there were no traces of the tears that you had been shedding in the bathroom a few minutes ago. You needed the job to support your studies. It paid well, even though you had to compromise.
Pushing open the heavy lounge door with your hip, you entered the room, your eyes immediately meeting his as he glanced at you upon your arrival. This was probably the seventh time you were being asked to serve him whiskey, the untouched glasses from before indicating that he wasn't really interested in the alcohol. You bit your lip harshly, slowly walking towards him as he sat on the big plush leather couch, trying his best to listen to the man sitting in front of him. You assumed it was a meeting of some sort since the air in the room was serious. Quickly placing the glass on the table, you turned around to leave, only to have his fingers wrapped around your wrist. Your heart skipped a beat, your body freezing in place but refusing to turn. Your eyes widened, his breath hitting the back of your neck and you knew he was now standing. Your fingers tightened around the empty tray in your hand, your wrist burning under his touch. It was weirdly safe and relaxing.
"You've been crying. Why?"
His voice was gentle and smooth, his tone telling you that he demanded an answer. You wondered how he even figured it out, but then again, you were no good at hiding things. You swallowed thickly, his hand pulling at yours to turn you around. "Just- just an intrusive customer." You answered, your eyes looking everywhere but him. He was too handsome and you knew if you stared at him longer, you'd end up fantasizing about him. He hummed, his other hand coming to rest on your neck, fingers wrapping around the skin as delicately as possible. This made you look up at him. "If it made you cry, it's not okay." He stated, abruptly letting go of you only to turn and bark orders at his men to go and bring the culprit. Your heart thudded in your chest, your breath hitching on thinking about what was going to happen. You didn't want anything to happen to anyone because of you. "Exc-"
"Kim Namjoon, darling. And if you can't tell, you have had all my attention since I walked in."
You were too stunned to say anything, his lips stretching into a fond smile at your wide eyes. If you really thought about it, it was absurd and impossible. The affection in his eyes was too deep for someone who you had just met. Your body told you to turn around and run but his smile made you stand still. You had never had such a bad internal conflict before. You froze in your place, drowning out all the voices and the people. You didn't even notice when that man had been brought in and pushed onto his knees. All you could remember was the way you had felt powerless your entire life. There were many factors contributing to that, but you couldn't recall the last time you felt like you were in charge.
Fingers brushed against your arm, snapping you back into reality. You found yourself staring at the drunk man who now looked terrified. His eyes were already red and watery, lips quivering as his hands were tied behind him. You looked away, focusing your attention on Namjoon who stood beside you. "Tell me, darling, do you want to punish him for making you feel threatened?" He asked, your eyes widening in curiosity. Punish? What does that include? At your lack of response, Namjoon glanced at you, the heavy metal in his hands catching your attention. Your breath hitched as he took your hand in his and placed the silver gun in your palm. You realized how cold and heavy it felt between your fingers, absolutely alien. You were supposed to be running for your life but you didn't. Because you felt in charge. That's what you had always wanted. Namjoon's hands came to rest on your shoulders, his fingers rubbing circles to calm you down. You felt his breath on your neck, his hands now making their way to hold yours. "Don't be scared. I'm here." He comforted, strangely making you feel better about the situation. Your fingers wrapped around the trigger as Namjoon lifted your hand up, pointing the barrel at the man who now seemed completely sober. You took a second to observe all the others in the room, noticing how nobody seemed bothered by this. At that point, you had come to realise that this was more than just a business meeting. A low whimper had you looking at the kneeling male, his begs going unheard by you as Namjoon tried to distract you. He whispered nice things to you, about how you didn't deserve to be treated this way at all. That if it were up to him, he would never disrespect you like that.
Your heart raced, your mind screaming at you to stop. This wasn't you. You weren't just going to kill anyone. That was just heartless, but something was much more wrong and twisted. Maybe it was the way Namjoon had you pressed against him or the look of fear in your victim's eyes, you didn't know which one. All you knew was that you were very willing to blow his brains out.
"Pull the trigger and I'll take care of everything."
Your heart fluttered at the gentle tone of Namjoon's voice, his hands continuing to steady yours as you struggled to make a decision.
Get over with it.
You breathed shakily, closing your eyes shut before reluctantly pulling the trigger. It took you a couple seconds to recover, wondering why all you heard was a click. You managed to open your eyes, peeking at the man who was still alive. Namjoon's lips brushed against your neck, shivers running down your spine as his hands now wrapped around your waist. Your eyes began to water, not being able to believe what you were about to do. Your hands started shaking, the gun falling on the floor with a clatter.
"Wasn't going to let my angel get tainted now, was I?" You gasped at Namjoon's words, feeling partially grateful that he had handed you an empty gun. You leaned back into his chest, your legs feeling like jelly every time you looked at the helpless man before you. Namjoon tightened his hold around you, relishing in the way you fit so perfectly in his arms. He had kept an eye on you since you had come in to take his order. He had also seen how that man had touched you inappropriately, anger coursing through his veins at the very sight. Just because he hadn't let you kill him, didn't mean he was going to let that asshole live.
"I'm not a bad person." You mumbled, trying to convince yourself that what you were saying was true. But were you good? Was it justifiable to want to murder another human being? Your eyes stared blankly at the glass separating the VIP lounge from the rest of the club.
"I know, darling. Sadly, you were unfortunate enough to attract someone like me."
A subtle frown took over your features, your mind registering the words that had just been spoken to you. Namjoon's voice was like a lullaby, you could get lost in it's melancholy any day. You inhaled deeply, knowing that there was a very clear meaning behind his words. "Will you hurt me?"
Your question seemed to amuse him for he chuckled softly, the vibrations from his chest spreading through your body. You could see his faint reflection in the clean glass, catching sight of the dimples that dug into his cheeks when he laughed.
"Why don't you answer that question for me, darling?"
Your skin burned when Namjoon's lips pressed against your neck, your eyes closing in ecstasy. You had never been this intimate with anyone before, mainly because you never had the time to get to know anyone. Alone in a foreign country, you were a little too cautious when it came to things like these. And about his question, you really didn't have to answer. It was clear as crystal, if Namjoon wanted to harm you, he would have done that by now. "What do you want from me, then?"
At your question, Namjoon turned you around abruptly, your hands on his chest as you steadied yourself on your heels. You stared at him, biting your lip when his fingers came to brush against your cheek. Namjoon lowered his head, making you avert your gaze to his chest. You felt his breath fanning your face, one of his hands resting on your waist.
"I want you. All of you."
Your eyes widened, looking back up at him in surprise. Did you hear him right? You heard your heart beating faster than usual in your ears, everything else being drowned out in a second. The only thing you knew to be real was Namjoon and his hold on you, his eyes studying your expression and trying to fathom what your next words were gonna be. You only met him today. And from what you had gathered, he was a person with a dangerous status. He obviously didn't care who he hurt or who he killed, since he was the one urging you to shoot that man. The most rational thing to do was to decline and try to leave. But you being you, felt like this was special. You liked this affection oozing out of Namjoon, having been depraved of it your entire life. This was a good thing, wasn't it? Namjoon could give you a secure future.
Namjoon frowned, still caressing your cheek and waiting for you to answer him. He had a hunch that you were gonna say no. But Namjoon was a simple man. He wanted what he wanted. Assuming that things could go south, he decided to lay down his words before you.
"I won't take no for an answer, angel. Just say you'll let me take you home and we'll be alright." He cooed, shaking his head as he played with your hair. Your eyes wandered around the lounge, thinking how there was too much room for you two to be standing so close. But even if you wanted, Namjoon's hold was firm around you. He really had no intentions of letting you leave, whether it be from his touch or his words.
"I- I wasn't going to say no." You answered, Namjoon's eyebrows raising in shock. You inhaled slowly, standing on your toes and pressing your lips to his cheek. "Please take care of me."
Namjoon grinned, placing both his arms around your back and pulling you into a hug. He inhaled your scent, burying his face in your neck.
"Oh trust me, darling. I'll take good care of you."
Tumblr media
Happy birthday to this beautiful, talented and soft human, he truly deserves this entire world. I hope every day keeps going better and better for him! Kim Namjoon will forever be my leader and role model 🥺💖

Naive - Crowley X Angel Female Reader
This was requested, and it was requested byyyyy: @adela-topaz-caelon
My lil request is a Crowley x Angel Reader where said Angel is an angel who was booted out of heaven because she's vaguely out of character for an angel, but is definitely one, and often helps the two men and they blatantly love each other but don't know, and Aziraphale is so tired of it, because he's noticed it since the beginning, and he just had enough. I don't mind if it's fluffy or smutty, or both, if you decide to take it on. I just would love your writing on this 😊
One: I FUCKING LOVE THIS REQUEST SO MUCH PLEASE SEND MORE I BEG YOU
Two: Oblivious but in love idiots are the best idiots haha
Warnings: uh, spicy at the end but it isn't full smut because I won't write full on smut like the furthest I will go is clothes removal you can imagine the rest.
You all know the drill, right? Gimme a shout if you wanna be on the taglist, too.
Tumblr media
"Oh my, they are...hopeless! Oblivious! Absolutely...agh! Fools in love, that's what they are...ugh." Aziraphale groaned. He was pacing in the back room of his bookshop, fretting about his two closest friends.
Now, the context of this situation: Crowley, a demon, Aziraphale's best friend, is hopelessly in love with Y/N, an Angel, also Aziraphale's best friend. She's also hopelessly in love with Crowley. Why is Aziraphale so annoyed? Because they're so obvious! But yet neither of them seem to notice.
See, it all started at the start, in the Garden Of Eden. Aziraphale was stood on the wall, watching Adam and Eve, yada yada, and Y/N was with him. Y/N was...unique. She'd been kicked out of heaven for being...out of character. Hadn't fallen, though, not really, much to Aziraphale's delight.
And then Crowley came along. He slithered up the wall, and stood beside the two Angels. He knew instantly who Aziraphale was, but who was that? Who was the other one? The thing that confused him most, though, was that Y/N's wings were a mix of black and white.
Was she fallen? Kinda. Was she a Demon? No. An Angel? Yes.
Crowley felt his confusion grow by the minute.
In fact, he was intrigued. He was going to get to know this stranger, whatever it took.
The next time the two really met was in Paris. Aziraphale had gotten himself into a spot of trouble, and Y/N had seeked Crowley out, and dragged him to Paris. Aziraphale, after being set free, wandered off, probably to get food. Perhaps some crêpes.
This left Y/N and Crowley to talk. And talk they did. They'd met many, many times before Paris, obviously, but it had been a while since they'd had a proper chat...3000 years, give or take.
Aziraphale thinks that this moment is when Crowley realised how hopelessly in love he was with Y/N. Aziraphale could see it on his face, they way he looked at Y/N with gentle eyes from behind black glasses. Crowley denied it whenever the subject was brought up. "We're just friends!" He would protest, scrunching his face up in faux disgust.
Or maybe he had fell in love when Y/N had ran off after a unicorn, and returned riding it, smiling as if she had just won the lottery, although that didn't exist then. In fact, that occurred during the Noah's Ark problem.
Aziraphale was a being of love. He knew love when he saw it. He saw the love in shared glances when they thought nobody was looking, he saw the love in the way they spoke to each other, he saw the love in the tiny touches they shared. He saw it all.
He thinks that Y/N fell for Crowley when he saved his books after blowing the church up. Not that it was his fault...kinda. Anyway, Y/N had flown in on trembling wings, having seen the bomb go down, and knowing who was there. She had literally tackled both of them in a hug, engulfing them with her wings too.
"You idiots! You stupid, stupid idiots!" She had yelled. "I can't believe - who made the bomb fall?" She seethed, and Crowley had sheepishly raised a hand, and she had glared that him for a few moments, before her gaze softened, and she smiled, yet again hugging the Demon.
Or perhaps she had fallen for him in Rome.
Don't even get Aziraphale started on the 80's. They were at their worst then, Crowley was trying to hide his obvious feelings, and so was Y/N, but they did terribly, and only worsened the situation, because they both most certainly did not get drunk, and certainly did not drunkenly make out. (They did.)
Yeah, that never happened, as far as Aziraphale thought they knew. But Aziraphale knew, of course he did. That was one image he couldn't erase.
And then there was the 90's. They weren't so bad, actually, Aziraphale had decided. They had fallen out after an argument about Crowley and his need for holy water. Y/N had assumed the worst upon being told.
"You what? Aziraphale gave you holy water?" She had screamed at Crowley, wings out, and her eyes were narrowed to the point that they were mere slits. Crowley had nodded, slightly frightened by Y/N's reaction. "Crowley, you can't have holy water! You know what it'll do to you! It'll...It'll destroy you! Or is that why you wanted it? An easy way out?" And as soon as the words had left her mouth, Crowley had reacted.
Aziraphale shivered at the memory. It hadn't been pretty, actually. Crowley had accidentally burnt a few books in his momentary anger, although as soon as Y/N had left, he regretted it, turning to face Aziraphale, his golden eyes wide, looking rather shocked.
They ignored each other for seven years, which had mildly impressed Aziraphale, who hadn't thought they'd even be able to stay away from each other for a week. But no, both of them were even more stubborn than a mule, and boy oh boy, could they hold grudges.
They managed to fix things in '99, when Y/N had been in the bookshop. She had had a run in with a few demons, and although she had never revealed what had really happened, it had scared her to the point where she was quivering in the back room of the bookshop, curled up, cocooned in her wings. And that's how Crowley had found her. Originally he'd come in to find Aziraphale, but he had heard gentle sobs from the back room, and went in, curious. Upon finding Y/N he had darted over, closing the bookshop with a snap of his fingers as he fell to his knees in front of her.
Not realising it was Crowley, Y/N had scuttled away, backed into the corner, trembling. Crowley was confused, that was for sure, but more than anything he was concerned for his friend.
"Y/N? Y/N what's wrong?" He had asked softly, sitting in front of her. Y/N had looked up with bloodshot eyes, peeking out from behind her black and white wings, and she had flinched slightly. "What happened?" He repeated, removing his glasses. Y/N had shook her head, and Crowley had frowned.
"There were some demons." Y/N had whispered, so quietly that Crowley could barely hear her. She didn't say any more than that. She had then slowly shuffled forwards, towards Crowley, and wrapped her arms and wings around him, burying her face in Crowley's shoulder, and that's where they stayed for a while.
They went back to their usual antics after that.
Aziraphale was relieved that they were back to normal, but now he was dealing with them dancing around their feelings again, and there was only so much dancing he could take, and he loved dancing...and food.
But now Aziraphale was just about done with them both. He was going to take things into his own hands, and began planning his master plan. There was no way it wouldn't work, right?
So, the next day, he led them both into the back room, and then locked them in there together. He had pinned a note on the door, the side that they'd be able to see, and Crowley ripped it off, reading it, and Y/N witnessed a rather amusing event. Crowley went red, and then sighed, and read it out.
"Hello Crowley and Y/N, this is Aziraphale, and I'm not sorry for locking you both in here. You two need to talk about stuff, and when I think you're done I'll let you out." Crowley read, grumbling, and Y/N chuckled.
"We can sneak out, you know." She stated, and after saying that, she shrunk herself, and wandered out, under the door. Crowley followed.
They snuck out, to the Bentley, and they both got in after returning to their natural sizes.
Aziraphale was state in the back, much to their surprise.
"I knew you'd try to sneak out, you know." He stated, smiling brightly. "This was my plan all along! Now I can talk to you both." He grinned. "You two are the most oblivious people ever, and I have therefore decided that I must do this myself."
Crowley realised what was happening, and hissed. "Aziraphale, don't you dare!" He growled, although there was no real threat. Y/N looked on, merely confused.
"Crowley, do it, otherwise I will." Aziraphale sighed. Crowley turned to face Y/N, and made a strangled noise, one of objection. "You can do it!" Aziraphale encouraged.
"No I can't! I've had...since the Ark to do it! If I could, I would have done it by now, Angel." Crowley managed to say.
"It's okay to be scared, Crowley." Aziraphale said, rather softly. Crowley hissed, almost angrily.
"I'm not scared! I'm just...just..." Crowley's shoulders fell. "I'm not scared. I just don't want to lose anyone."
"Hey, can someone tell me what's going on?" Y/N huffed, folding her arms, mildly annoyed, but confused, and overly curious, as usual. Crowley and Aziraphale looked at her. Aziraphale then looked at Crowley, who shrugged, then sighed.
"Don't...worry. Uh, it's not that important." Crowley smiled. Y/N sighed, knowing he had lied. "Okay, okay, Aziraphale get out, just for a minute." Crowley looked at Aziraphale, who smiled at him, before getting out of the Bentley.
"Y/N, I know it's stupid but there's something I really need to say to you." Crowley started, and his eyebrows fell as he tried to think of what to say. "I know I'm a Demon, and you're an Angel, kinda, and were supposed to be enemies, but there's nothing I could do. I tried to fight it because I didn't want to be like a human." He bit his lip, then removed his glasses, and his golden eyes stared into Y/N's. "I...I uh, how do I say this?" He mumbled. "I...like you? I really like you?" He blurted out, sounding slightly confused. Y/N smiled.
"I mean, it'd be problematic if you didn't." She chuckled, not realising what Crowley mean. The Demon groaned, mildly annoyed by her obliviousness.
"No! That's not what I meant! I meant that I really really like you and how on Earth do I say this? Okay...I don't like you as a friend, I like you as...more?"
Y/N realised what he mean, and her eyes widened, and she suddenly disappeared, leaving Crowley by himself.
Y/N had actually teleported herself inside the bookshop, and she had sat down, near Aziraphale. Aziraphale took notice of her shocked expression, and sat next to her.
Crowley stayed inside his car, groaning loudly, instantly assuming that the worst had happened and that she didn't like him back. That she didn't love him. Crowley growled at the thought. Love. What a useless thing.
"Y/N, my dear, what ever is wrong?" Aziraphale asked, confused. Y/N laughed softly, but as she laughed, she seemed to slowly descend into madness.
"He said he liked me as more as a friend, Zira. More than a friend! What does that even mean?" Y/N snorted, and Aziraphale sighed, glancing outside. Crowley was still sat in his Bentley, but now he was listening to Queen...probably.
"Y/N, it means he wants to...date you, I believe that is the correct modern term." Aziraphale hummed quietly. "It means he loves you. Y/N, I know you love him too. Everyone in Heaven and Hell might as well know, you two are so obvious! You've been dancing around each other for hundreds of years and I am just about done with it! Now go and talk to Crowley before he drives off and goes and does something stupid. Go." Aziraphale explained, and Y/N nodded, and ran back outside, clambering into the car.
"Crowley, let's go home, please." Y/N said, and Crowley raised an eyebrow, but drove anyway. "I don't want to cause a scene in the middle of a street. I have no idea what's going to happen next, Crow, but I'm hoping it's good." Y/N added, and Crowley raised an eyebrow, looking at her.
"Explain." He mumbled, mildly confused.
"Okay, okay...just...get inside first." Y/N said, rushing inside, to Crowley's flat. Crowley simply teleported, and sat on his throne as he waited for Y/N. Y/N ran in, and Crowley smirked slightly. "Okay, Aziraphale had to explain what you meant but I know now and I like you more than a friend too, or as Aziraphale said, love you and I guess he's not wrong." Y/N blurted, and Crowley suddenly coughed, standing up and walking to her. "And you're a really...cool demon too, so, I guess that's a bonus. You're pretty nice-" Y/N continued, and Crowley snarled, automatically darting forwards, and he (though gentler than usual) pushed Y/N against the wall.
"I'm not nice!" He snapped, and Y/N blinked. "I'm...not...nice!" Crowley repeated, through gritted teeth, and then he suddenly felt a gentle hand cup his cheek.
"Huh, Zira wasn't lying when he said you didn't like being called nice." Y/N mumbled, and Crowley didn't miss her eyes quickly flitting from his lips to his eyes. Or glasses, rather. He smirked, and edged slightly closer.
"You knew exactly what you were doing, damn. Little Miss Innocent isn't as pure as she seems." He remarked sarcastically.
"Well, obviously, I was cast out of heaven for a reason." Y/N stated, rather dryly. Crowley snorted, and Y/N smiled, and down her eyes went again, and back up, and Crowley hummed softly. "Are you just gonna stand there then?" Y/N asked, starting to shift slightly so she could get away. Not that she really wanted too, but it worked, because Crowley rolled his eyes, before pressing his lips to hers.
It was everything that Y/N had wished for and more. His lips were soft and gentle against hers, and might have well been puzzle pieces, slotting perfectly against hers. She realised that she could faintly taste wine, ands she smiled into the kiss, hands coming up to wrap around his shoulders, holding him as close as possible. Crowley's glasses were hard against her features, but she didn't mind because, finally, after thousands of years she was getting what she wanted. Crowley pulled away, quickly removing his glasses.
"How long?" He asked quietly, and Y/N smiled, lips still brushing against each other.
"Since Rome." She admitted, and Crowley hummed softly. "What about you, Crow?"
"Since the Ark." He mumbled, and Y/N smiled more, before seeking out his lips again.
Crowley gently held her hips, absentmindedly rubbing circles into her skin with his thumbs. "I love you too." He whispered, and Y/N nodded slightly, playing with the ends of Crowley's red hair. She connected their lips again, a little more force, a bit more want, and lot more need and Crowley knew where this was leading but he didn't mind. Besides, he was a demon, he was supposed to sin.
So he went along with it, revelling in the moment, and he unintentionally let Y/N take the lead. But only for now, he thought to himself. But he was still a Demon, and still decided to tease Y/N a little, his hands sometimes moving a little lower than they should've.
Y/N's only reaction was to huff, and gently bite his lip, which would cause Crowley to gasp, and allowed Y/N to have her way, not that Crowley minded. He certainly didn't.
He soon grew tired of just enthusiastically kissing though, and pulled away, pressing a uncharacteristically soft kiss to the corner of her mouth, and he began to trail kisses down to Y/N's neck, humming 'Somebody To Love' as he went. Y/N's grip on his shoulders tightened, and Crowley smirked, gently nipping at her skin, causing Y/N to gasp quietly.
"Crowley, you better not leave marks!" She hissed, and Crowley merely winked, before grazing his teeth across her skin again, before suddenly just nuzzling into the small crook of Y/N's neck. Y/N blinked, confused, but she smiled anyway, resting her chin on top of Crowley's head.
Then Crowley did the opposite of what Y/N had told him. He left a hickey.
Now, Y/N could pretend to be angry all she wanted, but she wasn't really, she never really could be. After all, it was Crowley. Who could be mad at Crowley? (A lot of people.)
So instead, she softly flicked him when he was done, and sighed.
"You're lucky I love you, Crowley." She grumbled, and Crowley shrugged, and pecked Y/N's lips, smiling. He then began working on the buttons of Y/N's shirt, and, well.
The rest is history.

Bi-Han & Sektor... and the Lin Kuei deal with Quan Chi
Warning: this is long text. Really long, even for my standards.
This is something that sits on my mind for long time now. The deal between Lin Kuei and Quan Chi plays more or less important role in Mythologies: Sub-Zero (1997), Mortal Kombat (2011) and Mortal Kombat X (2017) and affects deeply Hanzo, Sub-Zero brothers and Sektor’s storyline. To put all details into right perspective, I looked closer at sources.
In Mythologies:
Bi-Han was sent on mission to steal Map of Elements from Shaolin Temple. Unknown to Sub-Zero, Scorpion - a ninja from rival assassin clan - was also hired by Quan Chi for the same task. Bi-Han killed Shirai Ryu ninja during fight for Map, though the dialogue indicate that Hanzo knew in advance about Lin Kuei warrior:
Quan Chi: Ah yes, your Japanese counterpart. It's unfortunate that you happened upon him in your battle with the pesky Shaolin monks. Sub-Zero: Scorpion was tipped off... he knew I was breaking into that temple, and if he weren't there - there wouldn't have been a battle! You are responsible for this sorcerer! Quan Chi: I admit... I also retained Scorpion's services. In case you failed, I needed some assurances.
After returning to Lin Kuei Temple, Bi-Han learned who hired him (Quan Chi) and how sorcerer paid for the service of Lin Kuei:
Quan Chi: Oh yes, I almost forgot... In this bag are bones of your arch nemesis, and leader of Scorpion's ninja clan,          the Shirai Ryu. Grandmaster: And, this is the skull of the leader of the Shirai Ryu? Quan Chi: It most certainly is... I stripped it of its flesh myself. Grandmaster: Ho! Our ancient foes have been vanquished in one transaction. Quan Chi: I've personally made certain that every last remnant of their clan has been eliminated... forever.
And here is Quan Chi’s proof:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(As a gamers/viewers we must take at face value that Quan Chi did not cheat and really brought with himself the bones of Scorpion’s clan leader but I hope that in-universe, Grandmaster sent someone to check that for sure. Lin Kuei are supposed to be assassin clan in bussiness for ages, please tell me that Grandmaster wasn’t so stupid trusting)
Bi-Han from the start disliked Quan Chi; as much as I don’t think he regretted killing Scorpion then, he was for sure angry at sorcerer and his treacherous act that lead to unnecessary battle that could cost Sub-Zero life / the success of mission. Still, he had no other choice than fulfill next task - to infiltrate Temple of Elements and get amulet Quan Chi’s so badly wanted.
After beating all four gods of water, fire, earth and wind, Bi-Han learned truth about Shinnok’s amulet from Quan Chi (who once again turned out to be treacherous sorcerer; Shinnok’s release would destroy Earthrealm, thus Lin Kuei clan was in danger):
Quan Chi: The amulet... I have Shinnok's amulet! Sub-Zero: Who's amulet? Quan Chi: He is my deity, ruler of the NETHEREALM and soon destroyed of your Earth realm. This is definitely Shinnok's amulet! Sub-Zero: What are you talking about? Quan Chi: This amulet is the key to Shinnok's power as an Elder God. When returned to him he will retain his powers and be freed from the confines of the Netherealm.
Raiden forced Bi-Han to go to Netherrealm to set things straight. There, Bi-Han met again Scorpion... or more precise: Scorpion’s angry soul:
Warrior: Escape is not possible. Sub-Zero: Who are you? Warrior: I am a dead man. But somehow you have retained your mortality, which         would mean you are vulnerable to death. Sub-Zero: Wait... I know your voice. Scorpion: Yessss... I am Scorpion. You killed me in cold blood. Sub-Zero: I had no choice. If I had not stolen that map I would be the dead one. Scorpion: But my clan and family would still be alive! Sub-Zero: What?? Scorpion: It wasn't enough to kill me... you had to destroy every last remnant          of my being... you are responsible for the massacre of my entire clan! Sub-Zero: You're mistaken... Quan Chi is responsible for their deaths! Scorpion: Words will not save you Lin Kuei warrior... prepare for your final battle!
Either, Hanzo does not have memory of this meeting or this never happened in Alternative Timeline. In the end, Bi-Han did sucess and brought back Shinnok’s amulet to Raiden. After coming back to Lin Kuei Temple, he is told that another sorcerer get interested in his service and that’s how Shang Tsung hired Sub-Zero (and Cyrax & Sektor) to MK Tournament.
I guess, some Mythologies events get alternated (or ignored) to fit into new game(s), but things that happened for sure:
Bi-Han killed Scorpion during mission
in exchange for Lin Kuei services, Quan Chi exterminated whole Shirai Ryu ninja clan (confirmed by Sektor, in MKX)
Bi-Han defended Earthrealm from the Netherrealm armies of Shinnok and Quan Chi (confirmed by Raiden, in MK9)
Mortal Kombat 9 does not talk in direct way about the deal between Grandmaster and Quan Chi yet it provides an interesting details and raises some question.
By no means, Scorpion is shrouded in mystery. Shang Tsung alone presented him as “Scorpion! Specter of the Netherrealm! Resurrected by the sorcerer Quan Chi!“ While Hanzo himself is very vocal about his desire for revenge:
Where is the Lin Kuei Sub-Zero? He killed my family and clan. I will have his head!
Yet to fight against Scorpion in Tournament Bi-Han had to officially change sides and became one of Raiden’s champions (x). Otherwise, the fight would not have any sense story-wise, since both men representated Outworld and like hell Shang Tsung would allow his subordinates to kill each other before his Outworld victory would be guaranteed. Later, yeah, they may kill each other, not his bussiness, really.
Oddly enough, during Scorpion’s introduction (by Shang Tsung and Hanzo’s own words), Sub-Zero is not seen with fellow Lin Kuei warriors. We may only guessing why - beside the obvious requirement of the plot -  he wasn’t there. For all we know, he may already fought somewhere else at the same time. But if Bi-Han changed the side, why Lin Kuei warriors weren't angry nor worry? What I think comes down to Quan Chi, and how he betrayed Lin Kuei.
It’s hard to tell, how much Sektor and Cyrax knew about Lin Kuei dealing with the sorcerer. Sektor was son of Grandmaster, so he may have better access to information about current clan politics, but even if not (there is no info that as a son of Grandmaster he was granted any special privileges), Bi-Han should have know the truth about massacre of Shirai Ryu clan. Since Hanzo Hasashi lives as an angry specter looking for revenge against Sub-Zero - a top assassin of Lin Kuei - Quan Chi did not not fulfill his part of the contract (”I've personally made certain that every last remnant of their clan has been eliminated... forever“).
Mythologies!Grandmaster may say how one can trust a sorcerer sometimes, yet Quan Chi three(!) times in row betrayed Sub-Zero, and by extension, Lin Kuei as a whole. Hiring Scorpion when he already hired Bi-Han, using Sub-Zero to get amulet to free Shinnok that would destroy Earthrealm and, by extension, Lin Kuei and now, keeping one of Shirai Ryu ninja as his specter against contract terms.
Sub-Zero may as well just leave the real mission to Cyrax and Sektor and changed the side to deal with traitorous yet powerful client and/or direct danger for the Lin Kuei clan (Scorpion). What I think is reasonable explanation why:
Sektor is not angry nor suspiction of Bi-Han’s action (not like later he was with Cyrax’s) and does not mention it at all
Cyrax keeps talking about Cyber Initiative; the argument free will and thinking for themselves (the ability to improvise & making hard decisions) vs blindly obiedence could be brought by Bi-Han’s action. In this case, focusing at hidden danger than at current mission.
Cyrax is both protective about Sub-Zero and sure of his win, even if the fellow Lin Kuei changed sides during mission. What can be oberved during the short interaction between Cyrax & Sektor and Hanzo:
CYRAX: Your inferior clan is dead. Soon you will join them. SCORPION: My clan may walk the Earth once more. [...] CYRAX: Your obsession with Sub-Zero ends here.
Still, it raises question how much Bi-Han, Cyrax and Sektor really knew about Lin Kuei deal with Quach Chi?
Like I wrote already, when Scorpion was presented the first time by Shang Tsung, and what alone he said about his revenge, Bi-Han wasn’t around to response. Cyrax and Sektor accept that Shirai Ryu clan is dead - but did they simply trust Scorpion’s words, or heard that somehow from Grandmaster / Lin Kuei officials before they were sent on this mission or did Bi-Han provide them details, since (if!) he witnessed the exchange between Grandmaster and Quan Chi? It’s hard to tell anything about Sektor (he is so withdrawn here) but at least Cyrax seems to know / believe that Sub-Zero is NOT responsible for the fate of Shirai Ryu clan. Your obession with Sub-Zero ends here, he said to Hanzo, what for me implies Cyrax didn’t take seriously Hanzo’s claims. For him this was just(?) misplaced obsession.
Of course, Mythologies!Bi-Han could provide both men needed information; yes, he killed Hanzo Hasashi, but no, he didn’t eliminate the whole clan. Quan Chi did. Here come next questions then:
In Alternative Timeline, is Bi-Han even aware of Quan Chi’s part in Shirai Ryu’s extinction? If yes, why he (nor Cyrax or Sektor) didn’t use that knowledge? The best way to mess with Quan Chi would be turning against trecherous sorcerer his own specter by telling Hanzo the truth (like in MK4 Scorpion & Sub-Zero endings). Frankly, Sub-Zero could at least try that tactic (and using some cold logic, since both were on the same mission far away from Japan). Not that Hanzo would listen, not when Quan Chi messed up with Hanzo’s mind with fake “memories” of Shirai Ryu clan massacre, but it would be a heart wrenching addition to MKX’s reveal of truth for Hanzo to realize that Bi-Han actually didn’t lie to him before death. Just saying.
Also, if Bi-Han was really so powerful to kill the whole clan of trained assassins, for sure he would mock Shirai Ryu for being weak and useless in front of Scorpion. To frustrate Hanzo, to make him as unbalanced as possible, to take advantage of situation. Yet Bi-Han did not take credit for killing Shirai Ryu,the same as ektor & Cyrax did not claim that as victory - the sign of Lin Kuei superiority - over long-time enemy. Frankly, all men only acknowledged extinction of Hanzo’s clan (”Your inferior clan is dead. Soon you will join them.”, “To hell with your [dead] clan”) but not Lin Kuei part of it. Like I said, Bi-Han, Sektor and Cyrax could mock Shirai Ryu, could brag about Lin Kuei’s victory/superiority in Hanzo’s face. Could be all smug and happy from Scorpion’s suffering for pragmatic and selfish reasons, yet none of them really acted like that. They were uncaring and hostile toward Hanzo, yes, but was there any (in universe) reason, why Bi-Han, Cyrax or Sektor wouldn’t / couldn’t make it clear that Lin Kuei found a way to eliminate once and for all its deadly enemy? After all, that was the last chance to mock Shirai Ryu ninja in the face, since everyone else from rival clan was dead.
The hellish, immortal Spectre of course could be a threat to Lin Kuei, but Mortal Kombat Tournament already proved that one may fight Scorpion as any other enemy. Sektor and Cyrax witnessed Shirai Ryu undead ninja fight against Kung Lao and Nightwolf. It was just matter to find a way to kick his ass, for good. And if Bi-Han knew about Grandmaster deal with Quan Chi, he could also use that knowledge to form alliance with Shang Tsung, as a way to deal with common enemy. The sourcerers disliked each other and any advantage would be a great assest for Tsung in their rivalry for Shao Kahn’s favor. If Bi-Han knew about Shinnok and his desire to destroy Earthrealm, that for sure would be important information for Shang Tsung. In exchange for privy data, the dark magic of sorcerer could be useful for Lin Kuei, as a way to eliminate the specter born from Hanzo’s seeking revenge soul. So Scorpion, even with his unearthly abilities, was not an invincible threat to Lin Kuei.
Yet, despite the supposed knowledge from events of Mythologies the only one thing Bi-Han said during his final fight with Scorpion was  “That is not me!”
What makes me wonder that Bi-Han, Cyrax and Sektor may only knew that Shirai Ryu clan is dead and were not privy at all to all details of Grandmaster deal with Quan Chi (and Shinnok??). Which probably means Mythologies at this point either differs from Alternative Timeline or this is just plot-hole (looking at younger Sub-Zero’s ending in MK9, where he learned from Raiden the truth, that the Lin Kuei were ultimately responsible for the deaths of Sub-Zero's and Scorpion's families seems more like plot hole. If Bi-Han changed the side, it makes sense how Raiden knew about that and Grandmaster’s plans for Cyber Initiative).
What about other Lin Kuei warriors?
In MKX, Kuai Liang said to Hanzo:
For years, I had thought you had unfairly blamed the Lin Kuei for the deaths of your family and clan.
and
Had I known of my clan's complicity in the Shirai-Ryu's extinction, our history would be different.
What means Kuai Liang alone never knew about his clan’s complicity in Shirai Ryu’s extinction nor had any reason to even think it may be the case. Understable, since he never was told what really happened during MK Tournament nor how his brother really died:
SMOKE: If only they had been more forthcoming with the details of your brother's demise. We will find Shang Tsung. He will tell us all he knows.
Shirai Ryu clan was destroyed just before Tournament, most Lin Kuei (like Smoke & Tundra) may not be told about that in any specific details. It’s not even sure if they were told anything at all. Even if Grandmaster announced basic info that rival ninja clan finally stop existing, no Lin Kuei warrior had a reason (beside simple curosity, I guess) to care about Shirai Ryu’s fate beyond that. Bitter enemies, after all.
(Then again, why Lin Kuei warriors wouldn’t be told about that? The extinction of whole Shirai Ryu clan sounds like a good thing to celebrate, after all. Why was it keep secret? Did Grandmaster knew that allying himself with Netherrealm sorcerer to eliminate the whole rival clan was somehow against Lin Kuei traditions / accepted terms? Did Grandmaster was affraid of his subordinates reaction? Some opposition? Disgust that Shirai Ryu fell not from Lin Kuei’s own hand?  Why eliminate Shirai Ryu now? What was going on Grandmaster’s mind??)
Later, Lin Kuei allied with Shao Kahn, when cyber warriors captured rogue Sub-Zero. In in exchange for allowing Cyrax and Sektor take custody of Kuai Liang, Emperor gained powerful and loyal servants:
SEKTOR: We request that we may return him to our temple for judgment. SHAO KAHN: And what do I gain from granting this bold request? CYRAX: The Lin Kuei's loyalty and service. SHAO KAHN: Very well. He is yours.
Sektor at some undefined point betrayed Grandmaster and took control over Lin Kuei; in that scene it doesn’t sound like it has happened.
During Outworld Invasion, Sektor was leader (and supervisor) of Cyber Lin Kuei warriors. He was seen (along with Cyrax) at Kahn’s War Council, worked closely with Noob Saibot (a servant of Quan Chi) and had access to important information.
As far, as was shown on screen, Cyber Lin Kuei did not take orders directly from Quan Chi - but they for sure cooperated. Noob Saibot was seen along Cyrax and Sektor discussing progress of Invasion (both Cyrax & Noob were sent back(?) to Earthealm by Sektor), and later, thanks to Cyber Sub-Zero, turned out that Sektor had data (orders?) about Quan Chi’s plan related to Soulnado, including where captured soldiers were held and where they should be trasported:
Tumblr media
While working for Shao Kahn, Cyber Lin Kuei had various task. Some stuff for sure benefited Quan Chi. Of course, Shao Kahn’s favored him now for bringing Sindel back to live (and making her properly obedient) and did promise Earthrealm’s souls as payment for sorcerer’s service. But since we know that Netherrealm sorcerer & Shinnok manipulated evenst behind Emperor’s back - while supposedly having a deal with Lin Kuei at the same time - it makes me wonder how much Grandmaster (and by extension, Sektor) really knew about Quan Chi & Shinnok’s true plans and for whom Lin Kuei truly worked for. For Shao Kahn, and just did additional work for the sorcerer? Or Lin Kuei worked always for Quan Chi, except undercover, while pretending to be loyal to the emperor? Regledless for answer, Grandmaster & Lin Kuei allied themselves with invaders and supported Outworld’s effort in enslaving / destroying Earth.
But Cyber Lin Kuei part in aiding Earthrealm’s enemies end there.
During Netherrealm War, Sektor was most likely the Grandmaster of Lin Kuei. Despite his lack of love for (inferior) organic beings, Sektor did not allied himself with Quan Chi, nor supported his effort to free Shinnok and/or destroy Earthrealm. And the fallen god for sure would bring destruction to human race, while cyborgs - the soulless machines - were more or less safe against dark magic. We may only wonder how much Sektor knew for sure that and how much suspected or assumed by analyzing the Lin Kuei current situation & the course of events happening on Earth.
From Johnny & Sonya’s Netherrealm War glimpses we know there was no cyber Lin Kuei in the service of Quan Chi. Even Cyber Sub-Zero was turned back into human form. Sektor did not help Quan Chi & Shinnok, what was confirmed in MKX, when Kuai Liang showed Hanzo small part of Sektor’s cyberperserved memory:
QUAN CHI: The Lin Kuei need to abide their agreements, Sektor. The Grandmaster gave Shinnok his word. SEKTOR: Shinnok's currency is lies. As is yours. QUAN CHI: Payment is due. I exterminated the Shirai-Ryu as promised. SEKTOR: Hanzo Hasashi lives. He's your spectre, Scorpion. QUAN CHI: I created Scorpion from Hasashi's soul AFTER he died. We observed the agreement. SEKTOR: The letter, not the spirit. You are owed nothing.
So much things going on, so let's break it into pieces:
Quan Chi made a deal with Grandmaster (Sektor’s father). In Mythologies, Bi-Han didn’t know the whole deal - only the price Quan Chi paid for his (Lin Kuei) service. The question is, did Grandmaster know what Quan Chi’s true motive was? Did he know about Shinnok and his desire to destroy Earthrealm? And if yes, did Cyber Initiative was a plan not only to perfect warriors but also to preserve Lin Kuei when Shinnok get free and destroy human race? I don’t have idea what was going on Grandmaster’s mind, nor how he was tempted or intimidated to serve Quan Chi. Did he really believe that Shinnok & Quan Chi soon are gonna take over the world and wouldn’t care for machines and/or spare Lin Kuei?
Sektor believed in Grandmaster’s Cyber Initiative project yet his willingness to continue father’s rule ends there. He did not renew the alliance Lin Kuei with Shinnok nor abide by their original agreements. More, the Cyborg outright called the fallen god and Netherrealm sorcerer a liars. And here I finally come to what I intended to talk: the relationship of Bi-Han and Sektor.
Grandmaster didn’t have a reason to call Shinnok & Quan Chi the liars. Shirai Ryu was destroyed, as promised. Assuming Sektor took over Lin Kuei somehow between Outworld Invasion and Netherrealm War, the man himself didn’t live long enough to see what happened to Earthrealm after Shinnok was freed or how Lin Kuei were treated by fallen god. And if Grandmaster really made a deal with Quan Chi & Shinnok, there is nothing to accused them of lack of credibility.... beside Bi-Han’s death.
Except the more I’m thinking about the whole story - from Mythologies to MKX - the more details indicate that despite Bi-Han’s death (Quan Chi’s breach of contract) Grandmaster / Lin Kuei actually still took care of the employer's interests.
Some time ago, I talked about Bi-Han’s death and who gained the most on that. Quan Chi is the winner, of course, since he get a new, dangerous servant in the form of Noob Saibot AND personal revenge against a man that spoiled previous attempt to free Shinnok. Grandmaster lost a powerful warrior (tool) but at the same time, one uncontrollable factor that could pose danger for Cyber Initiative was removed. We don’t have idea how MK9!Bi-Han felt about being changed into cyborg but looking at various sources, elder Sub-Zero overall has never been presented as someone relying on technology. Between the three warriors sent to MK Tournament, he was the one who relied on his skills and ice powers alone (sharp spikes on the forearms are the only additional tools to his visible gear) while Cyrax used some low technology (bombs, energy nest) while Sektor utilized advanced technology (flamethrower). In Mythologies, Bi-Han’s idea of climbing on an extremely dangerous rock wall was, well... just climb without any protection, while in one of old comics, Kuai Liang actually described Bi-Han as “stubborn in many ways, refused to utilize modern technology on his missions”. And even though elder Sub-Zero was among Lin Kuei’s finest, due to such behaviour he was fast becoming obsolete.
For me details points out more in direction that Bi-Han was not supporter of Cyber Initiative project. He was too traditional, and for people like that being change into machine may seems as insult rather than progress (Noob Saibot vs Cyber Sub-Zero may not be the most convincing example, but there is possibility Bi-Han accused Kuai Liang for not being good enough to wear Sub-Zero’s name because in his (now twisted) mind, machine didn’t deserve such title. While he, with still organic body AND without human emotions, was the perfected version of his old self). It can’t be said for sure, of course, and frankly (alive) Bi-Han never had a chance to express his opinion on the matter. Cyrax mentioned some “debate” between Lin Kuei warriors about Cyber Initiative project and how openly he spoke against it. But if that happened before Tournament, Bi-Han most likely was on mission for Map of Elements and/or Shinnok’s amulet.
But if he truly was so attached to tradition (like Cyrax), Sub-Zero posed a danger for Grandmaster’s plan. One Kuai Liang destroyed old/cyber Lin Kuei in the span of few years to (maybe) a decade. What kind of destruction would happen if both ice brothers decided to revolve against Grandmaster’s plan before first cybernization happened? What kind of position Bi-Han had, as the most cunning and one of best Lin Kuei warriors in the clan? Would other join him, if he said fuck that stupidy, it’s against Lin Kuei tradition? Kuai Liang, Smoke and Cyrax were against that too. On five “introduced” in MK9 Lin Kuei, only Sektor was die hard fan of C.I. project, three were more or less vocal against and even (rude and asocial) Bi-Han doesn’t seem like someone who would voluntarily give away the soul, especially not after trip to Netherrealm and Raiden’s warning.
And here comes problem number two: if Grandmaster and Quan Chi truly had agreement and all the time worked closely behind everyone’s back, Bi-Han already once effectively stopped Quan Chi’s plan to free Shinnok (for a year or so, but still). Raiden could thunders with anger how much he wanted, but he couldn’t sent Bi-Han to Netherrealm against his will. Bi-Han agreed to unfuck the whole mess because no one else could do it, and the whole situation put his clan (Kuai Liang) in danger too.
If Grandmaster knew the truth behind Shinnok’s amulet, and still agreed to sent his best warrior after it, Bi-Han’s action violated deal with Quan Chi. Not only that, elder Sub-Zero acted on his own, temporarily allying himself with Thunder God that usually was hostile to Lin Kuei clan. Bi-Han might forget to mention his trip to Netherrealm, but if Grandmaster worked for Quan Chi, there is no way the sorcerer would not complain how Sub-Zero just went straight to hell full of demons, kill who knows how many of them, stole the amulet and came back to Earthrealm without much problem. That alone should rise awarness how dangerous Bi-Han was and how unexpected he may be.
Of course, why then Grandmaster didn’t punish elder Sub-Zero after his return to Lin Kuei Temple? And here comes the dehumanization of Lin Kuei. Bi-Han still was a good tool. Shang Tsung wanted to hire Sub-Zero, so what was the point of killing him then, if there was still a way to use him? Especially since:
Quan Chi was manipulating events behing Shao Kahn’s back and he wanted Outworld to win Tournament and/or invade Earthrealm. Thus Lin Kuei presence in Tournament was a nice addition to his (back up) plan.
Shang Tsung in Mythologies get interested in Sub-Zero because Bi-Han’s “recent exploits have caught the eye” of the sorcerer. Quan Chi and Shang Tsung have never been friends, but they trade informations (and favors) between each other, as long as that benefit them in any way. Either, Shang Tsung kept eye on Quan Chi’s activity (after giving him needed info of Temple of Elements) or Quan Chi did tell him about Sub-Zero, as a way to encourage Shang Tsung to hire the Lin Kuei warrior. Both ways, Grandmaster was for sure properly paid for Sub-Zero’s service.
If Grandmaster really plotted how to get rid of Bi-Han, Tournament gave him the opportunity and good payment from Shang Tsung at the same time. Really great deal.
Either Quan Chi manipulated Shang Tsung into hiring Sub-Zero, or was informed about it before Tournament. Regledless of how that played out, Quan Chi brought with himself Scorpion, resurrected wraith interested only in Bi-Han’s death. Keep that in mind, I will expand this detail soon.
For tournament were sent three warriors, including Sektor, Gradmaster’s son and die hard loyal subordinate, while Cyrax and Bi-Han already showed bigger or lesser signs of insubordination (stopping Quan Chi’s plan, talking publicly against C.I. project). The only Sektor’s fight on screen during that time was teamwork against Scorpion (a fight that in-universe doesn’t make much sense, unless Shang Tsung tried to eliminate Scorpion before he had a chance to kill Sub-Zero) and one confrontation with Cyrax. There is a chance Sektor was actually there more to keep eye on two suspected of treason warriors to report to Grandmaster about their progress (behaviour). I personally don’t think Sektor was granted any special treatment due to his biological ties to Grandmaster, but if he truly was destinated to be heir of Lin Kuei, sending him to Mortal Kombat Tournament as one of kombatants sounds as dangerous thing to do. Because well, he could be killed in fight and thus all the years of grooming future leader (especially when Sektor already is adult person in his prime while Grandmaster is getting older & weaker(?) with each passing year) would be in vain.
So, in general, Sektor (pro-cyber project) and Bi-Han (stubborn traditionalist) may not be the closest people at that moment. Especially if Bi-Han was aware that something is going on and he is more likely doomed person. What may be one of factors why he agreed to fight for Earthrealm in the first place. If Grandmaster worked for Quan Chi, Bi-Han was standing on thin ice since he returned from Netherrealm.
If my assumption about Bi-Han’s change of side in favor of Raiden is true, Sektor’s lack of reaction may be explained in various ways, including these two options:
Sektor has access to top secret informations and /or is told by Grandmaster to ignore Bi-Han’s betrayal, because this course of the situation has been taken into account and appropriate measures have been made (Quan Chi’s Scorpion) or
he didn’t have any more idea than Cyrax what is going on and, due to Bi-Han’s explanation, he came to conclusion that Quan Chi’s treacherous nature and Scorpion were treat to Lin Kuei that needed to be taken care of, regardless of current mission.
I’m keeping mentioning Scorpion, so it’s time to talk how Grandmaster (the leader of Lin Kuei) protected Quan Chi’s interest throught the course of MK9 and what kind of role played resurrected Hanzo Hasashi in regard to Bi-Han and Sektor.
Please, keep in mind, all my rambling is based on the assumption that Grandmaster made a deal with Quan Chi - a deal the leader of Lin Kuei was faithful to from (pre)Mythologies to end of his life.
Like it was already said, Scorpion’s solely reason to take part in Tournament was a chance to fight (and kill) Sub-Zero, who was supposed to be responsible for extinction of Shirai Ryu AND death of Hanzo’s wife and child. This is something that bugged me for a long time.
When Quan Chi intervened in the fight between Scorpion and Sub-Zero, he said "Have you forgotten?" before showing false vision of Shirai Ryu destruction. That suggest, this wasn’t the first time when Hanzo was told or more likely forced to watch his family and comrades being mercilessly killed by Lin Kuei warriors lead by Sub-Zero. Yet Scorpion desired only Bi-Han’s death?
In old comics Mortal Kombat: Blood & Thunder the iconic feud between Scorpion and elder Sub-Zero was about fight one on one, when two warriors from rival clans were set against each other to test who was better. Sub-Zero killed his opponent in fair combat. Frankly, Scorpion's revenge is less about being killed per se and more about proving himself to his ancestry he is worth to join them in afterlife (because for some reason they decided that Hanzo’s death was unbefitting for one of Shirai Ryu). Comics!Scorpion is so fixated on his task, the undead wraith actually promised to kill ALL of Sub-Zero's FRIENDS and FAMILY before he would kill Sub-Zero himself. And he did kill Hydro, the comics!Lin Kuei warrior that seemed to be really close with elder Sub-Zero.
Let’s be real here, Scorpion was always bent on revenge, one way or another. And I’m supposed to believe that after seeing massacre of his whole clan and family, he is interested only in Bi-Han’s death while totally ignoring Sektor and Cyrax? The two other Lin Kuei who - at least in Cyrax’s case - doesn’t even bother to hide their hostility for Hanzo and disrespect for Shirai Ryu. Like, really?
SCORPION: Where is the Lin Kuei Sub-Zero? He killed my family and clan. I will have his head!
No sharp taunts at Cyrax and Sektor standing within his eyes? No threats how they will pay for Lin Kuei’s crimes? Nothing, really? Just Bi-Han? One of many warriors who slaughtered Shirai Ryu clan?
That is why Scorpion seems like a good tool for both Quan Chi and Grandmaster. If Bi-Han didn’t switch side, Lin Kuei were gonna help eliminate potential obstacle before Outworld Invasion. If Sub-Zero once again would try harm the “employer”'s plans, there is resurrected Scorpion to remove problematic person for good, while at the same time Hanzo Hasashi was not a threat to Lin Kuei as a whole. What may explain, why Grandmaster wasn’t so bothered by fact Quan Chi did not stick to the deal to the last letter.
Later, when Kuai Liang actually beat Scorpion and was going to finish him, Cyber Lin Kuei ambushed him. If Hanzo’s resurrected soul was so big problem (argument) for Cyber Sektor, why he didn’t wait few second more that day? Kuai Liang could kill Scorpion and then get ambushed, yet Cyber Lin Kuei’s action spared Quan Chi’s wraith.
So far seems like Grandmaster (who must be aware of Bi-Han’s fate during Tournament thanks to Sektor’s report) wasn’t concerned by Scorpion by any means - yet Cyber Sektor used it as a way to break the contract with Netherrealm rulers. Why there is so different approach, since Sektor:
until now blindly fulfilled the will of Grandmaster (MKX: After you and I were freed from Quan Chi's control, I sought out my clan. I had hoped rebellion from within would have quashed the Grandmaster's plans. But Sektor had realised his father's vision).
had a chance to finish Hanzo (or at least to send back him to hell for some time) during Outworld Tournament.
Why human AND cyber version of Sektor wasn’t that much concerned about Scorpion in the service of Quan Chi UNTIL he took over Lin Kuei. Why so suddenly working for Quan Chi and Shinnok (two powerful beings very close to enslaving / destroying Earthrealm) was not an attractive arrangement anymore?
Scorpion after all killed only Bi-Han - a man that most probably posed some danger to Cyber Initiative; a project supported by Grandmaster and Sektor alike. So, in a sense, Sektor may as well benefit from Quan Chi’s doing. Of course, maybe it’s cold pragmatism of machine mind - the sorcerer lied and Bi-Han’s case proved how treacherous the man can be... but frankly, it didn’t stop previous Grandmaster before, nor troubled (visibly) Cyber Sektor during Outworld Invasion to work with Netherrealm.
And here comes one more suspicious thing:
Cyber Sektor’s reasoning would have been much more down-to-earth IF Scorpion at least played bigger role during Outworld Invasion.
Because the moment Quan Chi get Bi-Han’s soul and resurrected him as Noob Saibot, Scorpion was immediately ousted and forgotten. It’s Noob that accompanied the sorcerer in the quest to resurrect Sindel. It’s Noob who was seen joining the Emperor’s War Council (and barred Kabal’s way) after body of Montaro was brought. It was Noob who was shown along Cyrax and Sektor talking about progress of Outworld Invasion. It was Noob who was helping Quan Chi to cast the spell for Soulnado.
Scorpion didn’t matter anymore. Nor then, nor during Netherrealm War.
In Original Timeline / comics, Scorpion was presented quite often as a leader of (undead) army. In MKX’s war flashback though, there is little of Hanzo, the proud Shirai Ryu ninja. He doesn’t lead an army, doesn’t have any power over other Revenants, doesn’t have any special position between them (as the first, the longest serving Quan Chi wraith, for example). In MK9, Hanzo was unbalanced by anger and grief, the whole time manipulated and emotionally abused by Netherrealm sorcerer, but he has some agency. Misguided one, but still agency. He could talk and interact with other characters, showed emotions and pride/love for Shirai Ryu. But during Netherrealm War? Hanzo Hasashi was broken man, a shell of former self. He may once belong to Shirai Ryu, but he did not represent the clan anymore. His existence was more crude joke now than anything to worry about, especially in Sektor’s case. Scorpion did not seek anymore personal revenge, did not show any intention of hunting down every last Lin Kuei, didn’t have any agency, really. He was just Quan Chi’s attack dog who returned to the master's favor most likely because Noob Saibot either was lost (inaccessible) since Soulnado happened or he outright betrayed Netherrealm.
So why Cyber Sektor decided to screw up Quan Chi and Shinnok over Scorpion’s existence, really? Especially if he took over Lin Kuei soon after Outworld Invasion (or during its last stage?) when there was still much to do and the deal with Quan Chi & Shinnok -  who had serious chance to conquer Earthrealm in the nearest future - could somehow benefit Lin Kuei. Cyber Sektor does not care for organic beings nor for Earth, so for sure he didn’t do that for altruistic motives, loyalty to humanity or because of remorse.
The only bad thing that happened to Lin Kuei due to Scorpion was... Bi-Han’s (unfair) death.
And I can’t stop to think how ironic is the whole situation.
Both Grandmaster and Quan Chi used elder Sub-Zero as a tool for their own plans and then killed (as it seems) without remorse when he posed a danger to them. Sektor, even as organic being, had very dehumanized view of world. The dehumanization though did not limited only to people targeted to kill or his own comrades (whose life, dreams, ambitions, fears mattered nothing compared to Grandmaster’s wishes and/or needs of Lin Kuei clan). Sektor saw himself in such inhuman way. MK9 didn’t show much of his own personal fears or opinions. He was pretty much withdrawn during MK Tournament, all Cyrax’s arguments were cut down to “We are Lin Kuei [...] We will obey the Grand Master's commands.” There is little room for debate, for individual wishes, for improvisation. On the surface, Sektor and elder Sub-Zero seems to be drastically different people. But that may be a false impression.
Despite how little we know about Sektor and Bi-Han, most likely Sub-Zero didn’t share his love for technology / C.I. project. The absolute loyalty to Grandmaster is also one of the thing that separate them from each other. There wasn’t much interaction between those two characters, beside the little bit of them (after change) working together for Shao Kahn. Yet I think they had much more things in common than Sektor had with the rest of presented Lin Kuei warriors. Most likely, the strive for perfection. Even if their idea of perfection actually is diverging, Sektor and Bi-Han are the (most likely) only two presented on screen Lin Kuei who dedicated their lives to self-improvement above morality and interpersonal relationships, and because of that adjusted quickly to their new bodies and minds, changed via magic or technology. Who not only accepted the new form, but also see it as progress rather regress (Smoke called Cyber Sub-Zero’s new form hideous, Cyrax was determinated to keep his humanity (soul) and pretty depressed without it in both timelines, Kuai Liang saw himself and Noob Saibot as shell of their former self) while Bi-Han/Noob & Sektor embraced the change. When their emotions (humanity) was finally cut down, in a way they became embody of Lin Kuei’s sense of perfection.
Their respective changes, from Bi-Han and Sektor’s point of view, perfected them... but that means both men had before “human” flaws that were needed to be eliminated. Sektor claimed that The Cyber Initiative will eliminate insubordination. Something that both Bi-Han and Cyrax showed at some point... even if both men saw their “bad” actions as using judgment. Yet Sektor, despite his dehumanized point of view, had faith in his comrade(s) even when they get emotional and/ or were accused of betrayal. Like in Cyrax’s case.
Cyrax was protective of Sub-Zero (who most likely “betrayed” their client, Shang Tsung by siding with Raiden / Earthrealm), get into fight with supposed ally fighting for said sorcerer & Outworld (who also was servant of Lin Kuei’s important customer, Quan Chi) and after Bi-Han’s death even went to look at the remains of the deceased, the same as Raiden did. From their dialogue, it’s easy to tell that Cyrax wanted revenge against Quan Chi’s wraith (”Scorpion will pay for this!“) and Sektor, as a fellow clan member, is most likely aware of Cyrax’s bubbling emotions. Cyrax doesn’t have a good track record there, and let’s not forget he publicly spoke against Grandmaster’s C.I. project before too. Sektor may be as well sent to Tournament not only to kill Earthrealm Champions, but to keep eye on suspected of treason Lin Kuei. Yet when Shang Tsung didn’t deny attempted murder (something that Sektor did not comment or get angry about) and accused Cyrax of betrayal, Sektor still believe in his comrade's loyalty:
CYRAX: Sektor, we need to talk. Our host tried to have me killed. SHANG TSUNG: You were speaking with the Thunder God. Your indescretion has jepordised my plan. SEKTOR: Cyrax is Lin Kuei. He will complete his task.
Of course, Cyrax did not kill Johnny Cage and soon was confronted by angry Grandmaster’s son - it was actually the first time(?) Sektor’s human emotions were so visible:
SEKTOR: You were commanded to kill Johnny Cage. You disobeyed. CYRAX: I eliminated him from the tournament. He didn't need to die. SEKTOR: You have broken your oath. CYRAX: I used my judgment! SEKTOR: The Cyber Initiative will eliminate insubordination. CYRAX: We're not machines, Sektor. I chose to serve the Lin Kuei. But I will not surrender my free will!
Despite the anger, Sektor’s words may be seen as another (clumsy) attempt to talk Cyrax into following Cyber Initiative and/or proving why Grandmaster’s vision is so necessery, if even the finest warriors (Cyrax, Bi-Han) are hindered by emotions and conflicted thoughts. Cyrax disobeyed, broke oath. It’s bad, but C.I. project is gonna remove the flaw, it’s gonna “fix” Cyrax and allow him to be the perfect Lin Kuei, like he should be in the first place. Like all of them should be.
Sektor, as Grandmaster’s son, never had a chance to make real decision about his own life since “it was never in question that Sektor would join the Lin Kuei.“ It was excepted of him to be assassin, and one of the best at that. He wasn’t taught or allowed to question his father’s decision, blindly loyalty and obiedence is more likely forced on him from the day he was born. What probably means, he never had a real understanding of Cyrax’s arguments, who had some autonomy to make decisions (like joining & serving Lin Kuei) or why free will (humanity) mattered to him, since it wasn’t anything of value to Lin Kuei clan. Smoke, Cyrax and Kuai Liang were connected to people (family) & humanity more than to cold perfection and were ready to walk off from clan the moment it either betrayed them or its own traditions. Something that Sektor probably never coud do, never thought about.
Backing to main topic, did Cyber Sektor care for Bi-Han’s death that much to break deal with Quan Chi & Shinnok?
On the surface, seems like Sektor did not care - and who knows, maybe even knew about Sub-Zero’s hard situation and that he was destinated to die by Scorpion’s hand. On the other hand... Sektor is specific character. Despite his emotional detachment, he had done stuff that frankly doesn’t sound as pragmatic things at all; his stubbornly way to keep Cyber Cyrax close around himself is example of such clinging to some people... or at least to the delusional idea of how things should be between them.
Could be there something more to Sektor and Bi-Han’s relationship, then?
Out of all Lin Kuei warriors, Bi-Han was the only one “brother” that Sektor did not have to fight (and lose to) and despite their personality difference and changes (death & resurrection, cybernization) they worked well together. They adapted to the changes, adjusted to things that others found either hideous or cruel and simple moved on from that like it was nothing. And once freed from humanity (not complete, though), both had ambitious plans. Sektor came to conclusion that Grandmaster (his own father) was not fit to rule Lin Kuei anymore, while Noob was serving Outworld & Netherrealm not for blindly obiedence or lack of free will, but because it suited his (unknown) purpose.
Up until Sektor decided to murder his father, he loyalty served the Grandmaster. He fulfilled his vision to turn all Lin Kuei warrior into cyborgs (and  killed those who would not be converted), to perfect them all, including himself. Yet when Sektor took control over clan, he broke the deal over small (not really important) detail without any attempt at bargaining. He called Quan Chi & Shinnok liars, even if previous leader of Lin Kuei did not care or do anything about the fraud. That of course does not have to mean, he cared for Bi-Han as a person or saw him as close brother (although I suspect even for Sektor, Lin Kuei was a sort of brotherhood, and in spite of his repressed feelings, he felt bonded with at least some people and who knows, maybe he did not like how Bi-Han, one of finest Lin Kuei, was “stolen” from the clan by Quan Chi). Maybe during Outworld Invasion Noob actually talked Cyber Sektor into siding with him for the unknown purpose, he mentioned to Kuai Liang? Or maybe Sektor, once freed from human attachment & instilled obedience, trusted more Bi-Han (Noob)’s recognition of the situation (deal) with Quan Chi & Shinnok than Grandmaster’s delusional(?) one? After all, it was Bi-Han who visited Netherrealm before Tournament and had acces to it and was more privy to Quan Chi’s plans, as the new favorite wraith. Maybe both simply came to conclusion, that Quan Chi and Grandmaster actually are threats to their new ambitions?
In all fairness, there is not a clear answer so far what Sektor and Bi-Han’s relationship - as humans or cyborg and wraith - really is. The deal between Grandmaster and Quan Chi / Shinnok brought a lot misery to Lin Kuei. The brothers were either separated by death (Bi-Han & Kuai Liang (+Smoke?)) or divided about what really means to be Lin Kuei (Sektor & Cyrax) and for what clan should stand (Cyber Sektor & resurrected Kuai Liang). All of five presented assassins lost something personal through the course of story. In spite of that, Bi-Han/Noob and Sektor are the only one who may be called content with their personal changes... at least on first look.
