So, so far, who's who?

*I decided to end up switching Cresseida and Nesta because of the vibes

The only rule here is that when the Transformation happens, they gender swap (for shenanigans) + plus Japanese terms and vague setting

Also y'all, I'm not a zodiac person, I just did this for fun, don't take it too seriously okay?? Okay???

Sailor Moon (Purple) Cancer = Rhysand

Cancer: emotional, intuitive, sometimes insecure, associated with water and the moon (misting and stuff)

bocchan, spoiled, flirtatious

Thinking of having the sailor uniform be a mix of yellow, dark blue, and switch out the red for purple. Princess Serenity transformation is similar: white hair, white clothes, but violet eyes.

Was thinking maybe (as a hc) when Princess Serenity went to the human world, she used a different identity maybe?? Maybe a name like Rhiannon??? (aka similar to how Rhys looks now with black hair)

A spoiled rich kid, went to private school until he weaseled his way into public school (with his cousin Mor) and met Cassian. Az tagged along.

Sailor Mercury (Blue) Virgo = Azriel

Virgo: humble, practical, sympathetic, water sign (blue siphon + also associated with mist)

secret bodyguard to bocchan Rhys, a smart kid, straight A student, pushes up glasses with a glint, has those thin sleek glasses, tsundere chuuni otaku, has a knife somewhere, used to clash with Cassian, very protective of Rhys, learns to open up as a friend, always takes the mission serious

fights a lot against Zoisite-Eris (as Sailor Mercury) and also has lessons with Teacher Eris (as a regular college student)

Sailor Mars (Red) Aries = Cassian

Aries: wants to prove himself, values strength, competitive, impatient, active, fire sign (red siphon)

a high school delinquent, once had a pompadour, in a biker gang for sure, made fast friends with Rhys, Azriel saw Cassian as a safety risk, now they just bicker, fought in a gang war with Mor once and they came out bros, sees Rhys as his brother (Rhys definitely calls him Aniki just because it's hilarious how quickly it goes to his head), likes attention, a bit arrogant

was thinking to originally be Mor cause red, but idk vibes??? tbh you could switch around Rei, Mako, and Minako and they would all work in some way (but I'm adding a bit of OOC since I'm character building them)

I personally think Cassian should have had a goofy prince like personality in the book (for compensating for being a 'bastard') and actually accepts that he's people's hero while also being deeply insecure about it (and that's why Eris's barbs about him would hit harder)

Sailor Jupiter (Green) Sagittarius = Mor

Sagittarius: faithful, intelligent, forceful, sympathetic, values freedom, fire sign

a ex-sukeban, got into a lot of fights with Cassian's gang, used to smoke until a pretty girl said they hated the smell, eats pocky instead, has gotten expelled a few times, bubbly, used to carry a bat around, first girlfriend was in elementary school (except she didn't know they were Dating until the Incident), also has a bike, likes partying, has the highest alcohol tolerance but is confused how she's beaten by a talking cat, teases everyone (no one is safe)

the only one to gender swap into a guy, flirts with all the women she saves, ends up coming off as a playboy, saves Nesta once and fell in love, Nesta hates her flirty attitude as Sailor Jupiter but slowly becomes friends with Mor because Clare suddenly starts hanging out with Mor

Clare ends up finding out her identity and it causes Problems

Sailor Venus (Orange) Libra = Lucien

Libra: extroverted, friendly, has always wanted peace (with family, with life choices), honest, blunt, persuasive, charming, charismatic

grew up in a strict home with Eris, the problem child, seemingly very open with people but can close up if he's insecure, had a close relationship with Eris until Beron strained their relationship, was a solo Sailor Senshi with Varian (cat form) until joining everyone, has angst with fighting against Zoisite Eris

Tuxedo Mask (Leo) = Tamlin

Leo: compassionate, big-hearted, natural leadership, self-assured, fire sign

This guy has three outfit ideas: Civilian Mamoru - wears a dark green suit like in the anime, thinks he's cool but is not, is cool when he's not trying to be, has chin length hair with those round spiral glasses, goes from Clark Kent to Superman basically, instantly clashes with Rhys / Tuxedo Mask - the traditional black tuxedo, roses, roses everywhere, has a mask too, this time his hair is tied back and grows out to his shoulders (because anime logic), Sailor Moon Rhys and Tuxedo Mask Tam have a very obvious Thing going on / Endymion - the completely white outfit, this time his hair gets extra long because it's his Final Form but it's not tied, flows in the wind very majestically (Pantene commercial esque, very angst)

Zoisite = Eris

the vibes mostly (the hair)

but fun stuff is that Zoisite was with Kunzite in the 90s anime but was hinted in the manga to be with Sailor Mercury (not really but)

Kunzite was originally Nesta but now it's Cresseida, so ship vibes?? But the only ship that's set is tamsand rn (and tarlain)

Started working with Queen Beryl (Amarantha) because she promised to punish his father (something Eris didn't have the power to do without causing a lot of trouble)

Also works as a teacher sometimes now that his father is out of commission

Jadeite = Feyre

pretty boy, grey eyes

but was recruited by Amarantha to save their father's life (who's human), contrasted with Cassian, once Feyre 'dies' and was forced to give up the power Amarantha gave her, she meshes really well with the gang

Nephrite = Nesta

the first picture gives me Nesta vibes

has a romance arc with Naru Clare because I'm personally sweet on Nesta/Clare, but angst because Clare doesn't know Nephrite is Nesta, is trying her best to save their father (currently held hostage by Amarantha)

Was originally Cresseida to opposite Mor but I changed my mind (my intuition said so)

Kunzite = Cresseida

I was convinced by the white hair and cresseris possibility but

she's forcibly recruited by Amarantha unlike the others that 'willingly' work for her, but eventually defects with the help of Tarquin after she finds out about his other identity

Sailor Pluto (Scorpio) = Jurian

for laughs mostly

but also because I needed a milf/dilf in here fr

and Jurian in canon also finds himself out of time from being an eye

Sailor Uranus (Aquarius) = Elain

trans Elain agenda always

watches over her father while her sisters are being evil, ends up getting recruited by Varian to save them

Sailor Neptune (Pisces) = Tarquin

sea vibes (my sign, so best)

uhhh has cute moments with Elain

Sailor Saturn (Capricorn) = Emerie

literally the last one, and we need more Emerie content

Luna (Black Hair) = Amren

I always try to respond to comments. I especially love when people have questions or want hints about what comes next.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

HAHAHAHAHA oh boy. Um... you... you want me to choose just one? hmmm... Alright so honestly I think while Afterimage and What Even is Three Minutes did numbers on the J/C crowd, nothing tops the cliffhangers at the end of Sailor Moon H: Half-Blood Prince in terms of how much angst they induced in readers. The double whammy: (1) the youngest senshi getting turned into a horcrux and taken hostage by Bellatrix Lestrange and (2) Morgana Avery, the OC whom I had carefully crafted to be a character you loved burning up her boyfriend's shop with dark magic and then casting the Dark Mark in order to infiltrate the death eaters as an undercover spy... My betas and I were taking bets on whether I'd get readers coming after me with pitch forks for that one.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

There's a few contenders but I don't think any happiness quite compares to Captain Kathryn Janeway in The Captain's Secret Santa, getting a puppy for Christmas.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

A smattering of memorable flames which I try to save to reflect back on when I need a good laugh.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

*opens trench coat* Smut you say? Well gosh golly gee. What in the blazes could that be? SMUT. Funny word. Hmmm. I'm not sure I know anything about that.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I have written exactly two. Sailor Delta is on hold for the moment because the other one Sailor Moon H has one story to go. And i think if there were an award for craziest crossover I would submit that one and have a good chance to be in the running. It would win on craziest word count and probably on shenanigans too. And then it had the nerve to give itself a real plot. I started that as a crack fic and it got a mind of its own. And I am still writing it 8 years later XD.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I had all of my unlocked works on AO3 gobbled up by the initial crawl that Open AI used to build Chat GPT and that SUCKED. Not because it's been reproduced wholesale but because they'll use my hard work to make millions of dollars and all of the writers who were included in that dataset are both uncredited and uncompensated. I don't think I've ever had a fic stolen by another human. But if you do see what looks like my fic anywhere fishy, kindly let me know!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No one has but I would be open to it!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I've co-written a few!

one with Dawn47 when I was there as a Shakespeare assist.

memorable live-writing adventures with @trekflower. (one of my favorite people to write sexy fic with.)

And the longest one, which I am still so impressed we finished (and still one of my favorite things to reread) was the big Threshold AU Season 7 with @jellybeansarecool

I've talked about cowriting with @theredheadedcaptain but we both agreed that given our penchant for massively long fics that combining both of those tendencies was a very dangerously large project to contemplate XD

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

J/C is very near and dear to my heart but so is the Outer Senshi OT3 and I could never choose between them.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I am determined to finish all of my WIPs. Yes even SMH. Yes I know its been going on for 8 years. I am SLOW, okay. SLOW. Not lost. I know precisely how I want that thing to go.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I don't like tooting my own horn but okay... I feel confident in my ability to plot a long fic and see it through. In my ability to write something that brings you to your knees with emotion. And I do a damn good villain speech.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Time management. Word Count management. Oneshots.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Depends if it's there to be understood in context or there to stand out as not understood. I'd write dialogue in another language if it was there to be understood. I'd gloss over it if the intention was that the character and reader shouldnt understand it. I also wouldnt do it for whole lines of dialogue unless it was for a very good reason. Would prefer to throw in only the untranslateable words or to use greetings/honorifics and other smaller phrasal cues to indicate which language is being spoken.

W.I.T.C.H. in 2009-2010

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

Two:

I fell in love with writing The Universe to Mend this year and I've already re-read it once since finishing it in October. It brought me so much joy. It was such a fun challenge. and I think it was some of the best character work I've ever done.

While I wince when I re-read some of the typos, Pax Lunae was still the first ever story that I felt proud of and that remains true today. It was a challenge to dive into the lore of Sailor Moon and create something that could be canon. It was also the first fic I could hold up and say "Hey! I wrote something the length of a novel. I could write a novel" And I like to reread it to remember that feeling. Someday I'll have a chance to clean up some of the spelling too..

Four Ships:

Victuuri (Victor Nikiforov x Yuuri Katsuki, Yuri!!! On Ice): I got pulled into the YOI fandom when someone I was following started posting what I thought at the time was an annoyingly excessive number of YOI-related memes and gifs. I ended up watching the series out of curiosity to know what the hype was all about and enjoyed it a lot, which led me to find other people equally interested and talking about it around here, and ultimately led me to the wider world of AO3 where I found many talented writers both in this fandom and others. So I would like to take this opportunity to formally thank the aforementioned YOI-meme poster who unwittingly introduced me to the fandom: @rosepetalrevolution please receive my most heartfelt thanks and this metaphorical gift basket 🎁

Judiki (Julian x Dick Kirrin, Famous Five): If you've been around my blog lately, you know I've been introduced to this pairing by the lovely and talented @sweetsorcery and @majormcnerdy-geekinfantry-blog. This pairing was an unexpected and delightful find that is now living rent free in my head.

Zeus x Ganymede (Greek mythology): @littlesparklight is solely responsible for my discovery and enjoyment of this ship! This prolific writer has also produced many different works around various Greek myths, both shippy and non-shippy, and I can only urge you to visit her AO3 page.

Writers x Readers x Artists: I love collabs. I love when a reader makes a comment that sparks a future idea for a writer. I love when an artist surprises a writer with art for their fics, or when a writer makes a snippet based on a piece of art. Just keep that virtuous circle going!

(I just realised that the 3 ships I listed are all MM but that's not exclusively representative to my tastes. I equally enjoy MF or FF or any other combinations!)

Last Song: The Eurovision 2023 playlist that I listened on repeat for my ratings. I don't really listen to a lot of music on my own; I find it too distracting when I'm reading or looking stuff up on my computer. I listened to music a lot more when I used to draw, though; I always had music as a background then.

Currently Reading: Bill Bryson's The Body: A Guide for Occupants (non fiction) ... as well as a lot of ongoing fics on AO3 -- mostly original works but some fanfics too.

Last Movie: That would be Alexandre Astier's Kaamelott (Premier Volet), based on the legend of King Arthur. It started as a short-format humoristic TV series made of 3-minute episodes, then evolved into 50-minute episodes as the plot got more involved and explored deeper concepts, and the conclusion should now be in the form of a movie trilogy, the first one of which was released a couple of years ago. For a long time, my awareness of the franchise was mainly about the earlier 3-minute humoristic episodes, as they benefit from regular (but out of sequence) reruns on TV. Only recently did I watch the full 6 seasons in the order they were meant to be watched, which greatly enhances the experience. I hope they can get the final two movies made!

Craving: TIME. Seriously. Give me time to read the growing pile of books sitting on my 'to-read' shelf. Give me time to re-read books I've enjoyed in the past and see if I have the same outlook now as I did then. Give me time to read and re-read and comment on AO3 fics. Give me time to resume drawing and learn how to properly use digital art tools. Give me time to practice the piano again. Give me time to exercise so I can feel fitter and stronger in my body. GIVE ME TIME.

Self-Rec Tag Game

Rules: share five of your own fanworks (fic, art, etc.) Then, tag five more people to share the things they've made.

Tagging my own damn self, might should be posting this to my writing sideblog @eiirisworkshop but I'm not bothering.

To Tell the Truth Ongoing Brokeback Mountain longfic, rated M, currently 29 chapters and just under 50k wordcount. Canon divergent starting from when Ennis comes home to Alma after the summer he meets Jack. Very much a what could have been kind of fic with lots of making people (coughEnniscoughcough) talk about their feelings but without easy fixes to the very real obstacles our boys face.

Momento Ipsum, Remember Yourself Complete Old Guard fic, rated M, 6 chapters, just under 20k words. It's a meeting-younger-selves fic with the whole team! Explorations of religion, trauma, and sense of self that I'm really proud of. Communication and how language is woven through identity are central themes, and I taught myself some coding to make two versions of this fic that use either different fonts or different text colors to differentiate dialogue in different languages.

The Measure of a Tit Sailor Moon oneshot, rated T, 824 words. Short, fun, and funny little ficlet about bras, binders, and gender expression starring my favorite senshi, Sailor Uranus, Haruka Tenoh .

Chiaroscuro Complete Star Trek: TOS fic, rated T, 16 chapters, a little over 30k wordcount. Set aboard the Enterprise late in her 5-year mission (so, sometime after the tv show ended). I made up an excuse to stick Kirk and Spock, Spock's parents, and two space hobos one of whom is half Vulcan and actively rejects Vulcan culture all on a starship together. Shenanigans, arguments over cultural values, discussion of consent with regards to Pon Farr, Kirk and Spock finally doing something about their mutual pining, and Uhura winning a full-crew betting pool ensues.

In From the Cold Incomplete post-Winter Soldier MCU fic, rated T (though I should probably bump it to M...), currently 55 chapters and almost 175k--not counting the two pulled-out sort of episode fics that happen between or parallel to chapters in the main fic that add almost another 20k. This becomes a good old "everyone is living at Stark Tower" fic a few chapters in. Very focused on Steve and Bucky and Bucky's recovery from having been the Winter Soldier. I put him in actual goddamn therapy--and this fic long predates the Falcon and Winter Soldier show. Also a major Clint/Coulson plot thread that digs deep into Phil's trauma from having been killed by Loki and brought back. Pulls in elements from Agents of SHIELD and some of my favorite bits from comics. And look, this fic has not been updated in years, so if I'm reccing it I want to be up front about that. But it is not abandoned! In fact, with how life changes are going I expect to be able to get back to work on this fic within the next year and could have new chapters ready as early as Christmas if all goes well. It's long enough that depending how fast you read, it could carry you til then. This is genuinely some of the work I'm most proud of and has one of the most complexly woven plots I've ever produced (which is why it's been so hard for my to pick back up these past few years). If you miss the team-as-family vibes of early-mid 2010s MCU fandom and wish various characters' trauma was handled with more care, then this is the fic for you.

Starry Masquerade: The Sailor Senshi's Halloween Delight

The girls show up to Motoki's Halloween party as the Senshi - without being henshinned, of course. They get caught up in the love and joy from the partygoers whom celebrate their alter egos. Poses and speeches and songs ensue.

Chapter 1

“Oh my goodness, you guys look amazing!” Naru gushed. “How did you manage to get them done?! They look so accurate!”

“Thank you! I’ve sewn a lot of outfits – it’s hard to get clothing in my size,” Makoto explained.

“Usagi-chan, you look positively radiant!” Naru exclaimed.

“Thank you,” Usagi beamed.

It was Halloween, and Motoki had decided to throw a Halloween party at the arcade. Everyone had to go in costume, of course. Minako had somehow managed to convince them to go as the Sailor Senshi. They couldn’t go henshinned; their Senshi glamor would give them away. Instead, Makoto had painstakingly sewed all of the fukus except for that of Usagi, who opted to use her transformation pen. They had done their best to obtain or create accurate accessories, having had to substitute items here and there. The Senshi shrugged it off; it’s not as if the press got close enough to take pictures of the little details. That kept Usagi safe, too, because her entire outfit was a perfect replica of the real thing.

“Hello you girls!” Motoki greeted them as he came over to them. “You look fantastic!”

“Thank you,” the girls all said, smiling as they moved further into the arcade. “Hey Umino!”

“The Sailor Senshi,” Umino breathed, looking them up and down. “You look close to the real thing! Are you big fans like me?”

“Oh, we’re very big fans,” Rei said.

“Definitely,” Makoto said, grinning.

“How many images did you have to look through as source material?” Umino asked.

“We don’t know,” Ami said.

“Hey!” Minako piped up. “Let us through to the counter, eh, Umino?”

“Oh yes, sorry, sorry.” His cat clad self shuffled to the side, allowing the girls through to the counter. Motoki was happily chatting away while whipping up more orders. Among the people to whom he was talking was one Chiba Mamoru, his side profile showing. He was wearing a new, wine red tuxedo. His face was whitened. He held an ornate cane.

“Look at you, Mamoru-san!” Rei said as they approached.

“Hi girls, I…” he trailed off, staring at the five of them.

“Do you like our costumes?” Usagi said cheerfully. “Mako-chan made them.”

“She did a great job,” he said as he stared at Usagi.

“You have to take some pictures,” Umino said, having sidled up to them, causing them to jump. “And do the speeches. I’m sure you know them, being big fans.”

“Right,” Makoto said, nodding jerkily. “Where should we take them?”

The group shuffled off to a semi-secluded area, clearing a path for the pictures. Umino had pulled out his phone and started giving directions when Mamoru stepped in front of him. “I’ll do it,” he said in a tone that did not invite argument.

“Okay,” Umino stuttered, scrambling away from the glaring upperclassman.

A group had formed around the Senshi and Mamoru, laughing and cheering.

“What do you want first?” Motoki shouted, pointing at the Senshi.

“Battle poses! Like they do before they enter a battle!”

The girls glanced at each other hesitantly. Why did they do this again? “C’mon,” Usagi urged. “It’s just for fun. We can try!” The girls moved into a line, with Usagi in the middle. Then they shifted into their signature post henshin poses.

“Amazing!” the audience around them exclaimed.

“Did you catch that, Mamoru?” Motoki asked.

Mamoru nodded. “You all must be really huge fans,” he said with forced nonchalance.

“Like we said, huge,” Usagi replied, smiling nervously.

“Now pose as if you were about to launch an attack!”

“Ehhhhhh…”

“We aren’t that good,” Ami hedged.

“Oh, c’mon! Do your best!” Naru cheered on.

“Okay,” Usagi said authoritatively, gripping her tiara with her finger and her thumb as if she were about to take it off. Ami crossed her arms as if she were to do her Mercury Aqua Mist attack. Makoto crossed her arms over her head, her forefingers and pinkies pointed towards the sky. Minako gripped the chain encircling her waist.

“I don’t have any ofuda with me,” Rei lied.

“Just raise your hand above your head as if you did have one,” someone said. Rei complied.

“They look so good!” the audience crowed.

“Take several pictures, Mamoru-kun!” Motoki called out.

Mamoru wordlessly took several shots. Something about his stance and inscrutable expression made the girls even more nervous.

“That’s enough for now!” Makoto said loudly. Several groans answered her before the crowd moved away.

“What about the battle speeches?” Umino protested as Naru pulled him away.

The girls sighed in relief.

Usagi inched over to Mamoru’s side. “So what are you supposed to be?” she asked.

“A vampire.”

Her eyebrow raised. “A vampire doesn’t wear red. His mouth is red. You know, where the fangs are?”

“Do you mean the blood?”

“...Right,” Usagi said uncomfortably.

“I’ve seen vampires in different colors, Odango. You can look it up. You have a cell phone don’t you?”

“Of course I do!”

Mamoru waited while Usagi scrolled furiously through her phone.

“Fine,” she huffed. “You win.”

“Motoki-kun! Let this day be immortalized as the day Odango admitted I won!” Mamoru shouted loudly.

“Oooooohhh,” Usagi fumed. Why did he have to rub it in? She was so tempted to pluck her tiara replica off her forehead and throw it right at Mamoru as if he were a youma.

“So, why Sailor Moon?” he asked. “Do you think you’re good enough to be the greatest heroine of all Tokyo?”

Usagi bristled at the insult and preened from the backhanded compliment - a very weird combination. She took a moment to gather some composure while he waited expectantly. “What does ‘being good enough’ matter? It’s just Halloween, baka.”

He stared at her. And stared.

“Do you know Sailor Moon, Odango?”

“WHAT?!” she exclaimed, injecting as much incredulity as she could while laughing nervously. “I do not know Sailor Moon! Why would you think that?!”

A moment passed. “Never mind,” Mamoru said finally. “Do you want a drink?”

She nodded, following him back to the counter.

“What do you want, Sailor Moon?” Motoki asked with a big grin.

“A chocolate shake, Citizen,” Usagi replied with mock seriousness.

“Are shakes good for a heroine of Tokyo?”

“They work for me,” she said without thinking, then realized her mistake. “I mean they would work for me, if I was really Sailor Moon.”

“I doubt Sailor Moon would eat as much sugar as you, Odango.”

“What would you know, Mamoru-baka?”

He shrugged. “She’s pretty fit.”

“And you would know, how? Are you a fan of the Sailor Senshi, too?” Usagi asked. When he blushed, she crowed loud enough to carry across the arcade, “Even Mamoru-baka is a fan of the Sailor Senshi! We should take a picture with him, girls! He could keep it as a memento.”

“I’d rather take a picture with the actual Sailor Senshi,” Mamoru murmured without thinking.

“Good luck with that,” Usagi said flippantly, “since you don’t even know them.”

“What would you know, Odango?” he threw back at her.

“I know.”

“Sure you do,” he drawled, sparking her ire.

“How would the Sailor Senshi know you?” she pressed. He gave her a mysterious grin that infuriated her more. How dare he act like he was so special? She knew none of the Senshi had ever dealt with him while henshinned. “Whatever, baka,” she retorted, taking a large sip of her shake. “And who would drink coffee at night?” she added, glaring at the tendrils wafting from the cup.

“I drink coffee at all hours,” Mamoru informed her as he took a sip.

“Do you ever sleep?!”

“Honestly, Odango, you sleep enough for the both of us.”

“I don’t sleep that much!”

“No,” he interjected, “I mean I don’t sleep enough. Can’t, that is.”

“Why not?”

He shrugged. “Too much to do.”

“Too much studying, you mean,” she said. “Perhaps you’d get more sleep if you didn’t hang around the arcade as much, yelling at me.”

“Perhaps,” he acceded, “but then I would be missing out on something more.”

“What would that be, oh Mr. Perfect?”

“Companionship. Friendship. People in general. Oh, and coffee.”

“Because you definitely can’t make coffee at home,” she said, avoiding the mention of the rest of what he said, a lump rising in her throat.

“It gets stale,” he said quietly. “I’m the only one who drinks it at home, so it’s hard to make only so much of it at a time and know how fresh it’s going to be when I need it. Motoki is good at keeping coffee fresh.”

“He’s also a good friend,” Usagi added.

“Yes, he is. My best.”

“Is that so?”

“It is,” he said vehemently. “One of a few I consider a friend.”

“Why so few? You could get more friends if you’d just be nicer, baka.”

“I’m not like you,” he admitted. “I don’t thrive off of interacting with people. I need them abstractly when I come here, for example. I only really interact with - only am friends with - people I’m close to.”

“Like Motoki.”

“Right,” he said quietly.

The other implication hung in the air between them - that both of them interacted with each other often - at the arcade, on the street, random places that somehow end up involving youma. Mamoru didn’t shy away from Usagi - far from it.

“You know I’m your friend, right?”

His eyes blew up wide. “Really?”

She nodded. He hid behind the coffee cup, taking a long sip. She decided to be merciful. “I’m going to find the girls,” she said to him, clapping a hand onto his shoulder as she deftly jumped off the stool. She didn’t wait for a response, quickly disappearing into the crowd, her mind still reeling.

Mamoru might consider her a friend. At the very least, she was someone he felt comfortable interacting with. In all of their arguments, this had never crossed her mind; she was able to befriend so easily, so readily. Apparently he was more closed off around other people than she’d realized.

Then there was his home life. There was a hole there, a source of his loneliness. Were his parents too busy to be in his life, like Ami? Was he estranged from his parents, like Minako? Were they dead, like Makoto’s? Rei at least had her grandfather after her father all but abandoned her.

There was more to Chiba Mamoru than she’d ever gotten to know in the two years she’d known him.

“Usagi-chan!” Makoto shouted, beckoning her over. The girls were standing in their own corner of the arcade, dancing.

“I don’t know…” Usagi hedged.

“You only die once,” Minako announced while pulling Usagi into their dancing circle. The others sweatdropped.

“You only live once,” Ami groaned.

Minako was too involved in dancing at that point to care. In her mind, it was two sides of the same coin. Her enthusiasm riled up the others, even Ami. Their arms were in the air as they twirled and grooved.

“Let’s live it up!” Minako shouted. “Let’s do the introductions, yeah? Just for fun? I mean we are fabulous fans, are we not?” The girls caught on, whooping as Minako started, oblivious to the piercing gaze of a brooding upperclassman. “Standing for love and beauty, I am the beautiful sailor-suited Senshi, Sailor Venus! In the name of Venus, I’ll punish you with the power of love!”

“Standing for love and courage, I am the beautiful sailor-suited Senshi, Sailor Jupiter! I’ll make you feel so much regret, it’ll leave you numb!”

“Standing for love and passion, I am the beautiful sailor-suited Senshi, Sailor Mars! In the name of Mars, I’ll chastise you!”

“Standing for love and intelligence, I am the beautiful sailor-suited Senshi, Sailor Mercury! Douse yourself in water and repent!”

“Standing for love and justice, I am the beautiful sailor-suited Senshi, Sailor Moon! In the name of the moon, I’ll punish you!”

“TO THE SAILOR SENSHI FOREVER!!!” Minako yelled, sparking cheers and whoops from the partygoers.

“TO THE SAILOR SENSHI FOREVER!!!” reverberated throughout the arcade.

“AND TUXEDO KAMEN-SAMA!!!” Usagi shouted over the din, leading to more cheers.

“TO TUXEDO KAMEN-SAMA!!!”

“TO OUR HEROES OF TOKYO!!!”

“Wherever you are, we’re rooting for you!” Motoki shouted.

“Yes, thank you for all you do!” a grateful woman said.

“WE LOVE YOU!” Usagi shouted, not knowing if she was referring to the Senshi (as she ostensibly should be) or if she was referring to the people whom she protected with all of her heart. It felt wonderful to be embraced by the love of these people, to be acknowledged as their heroes. The girls felt a burst of happiness, grinning as they regarded one another. It was the closest they’d ever come to face-to-face praise.

“A song! Girls, do a song!” a chant began.

“A song?” Ami repeated.

“Oh c’mon!” Minako said. “We’ll just make one up!”

They floundered for a moment, then something came over them, their minds joining together. They sang:

We’re the Sailor Senshi, shining so bright, Guardians of justice through the day and night. With courage and strength, we’ll always fight, For love and peace, our power takes flight.

Sailor Moon, leader so true, In the name of the moon, she’ll see it through.

Sailor Mercury, intellect so keen, Waters of wisdom flow in-between.

Sailor Mars, passion ablaze, Fiery protector in so many ways.

Sailor Jupiter, strong and bold, Thundering strikes a force to behold.

Sailor Venus, love and beauty so pure, Guiding with grace, hearts she’ll assure.

United as one, we’ll stand side by side, Facing the darkness with hearts open wide. Sailor Senshi, the world’s saving grace, Championing hope in every embrace.

Sailor Senshi, a symphony of might, Guided by stars, spreading love’s light. Together we’ll stand, forever strong, Safeguarding the world, righting every wrong.

The song ended, the room in dead silence, mouths gaping with awe. Then the crowd erupted in cheers.

“You guys were FANTASTIC!” Motoki shouted as he came over to them. “Did you rehearse that or something?”

The girls stared at each other dumbly, then shook their heads in unison.

“It must be the vibe of the party!” Minako said with a disarming smile. “Come on girls,” she added, beckoning them to go back to dancing.

“Wait, what about Tuxedo Kamen?”

“Yeah, a song about Tuxedo Kamen!”

“C’mon Usagi, we know you have a crush on him!”

“MINAKO-CHAAAN!”

“I will pay for your milkshakes for a year if you do it.”

“Are you serious?! Fine, I’ll do it.”

The crowd shushed as Usagi bowed her head, tapping into the love she’d felt for the hero of Tokyo for the last two years. She actually had written poetry about Tuxedo Kamen, pouring her heart into it. With blush-stained cheeks, she shakingly sang what she’d memorized by heart:

A masked stranger in the night, so bold, Tuxedo Kamen, secrets you hold. With roses in hand and a heart unknown, In my dreams, your presence has grown.

Tuxedo Kamen, a mystery so deep, My heart’s secrets, they’re yours to keep. With a mask and a cape, you’re a dream untamed, In the night’s embrace, my heart’s aflame.

Her cheeks were positively burning after she finished, tears sparking in her eyes as the crowd went wild. Usagi suddenly felt suffocated. She needed to get out of there - but there were too many people, too many eyes on her. She wished vehemently she could just leap to the ceiling and soar out the window. Her eyes suddenly locked with Mamoru’s burning gaze. Her eyes widened with surprise. She panicked as he suddenly started making his way towards her.

“Girls, help me get out of here!”

“Why, Usagi-chan? We’re still having fun!” Rei said.

“Because-” She was cut off by Mamoru reaching her.

“Come with me, please,” he said as he grabbed her arm, then headed back the way he came, tugging her behind him. Usagi was flabbergasted. What on Earth had she done that would cause him to act this way?

Chapter 2

Mamoru led them to the back of the arcade, to the break room for employees. Usagi followed numbly, shaking from her earlier song. It was so personal, and she just sang it not only in front of her Senshi, but in front of a whole crowd of people, many of whom probably recorded the song on their phone! May the Earth just open her up and swallow her whole! What was she thinking?! A year’s worth of milkshakes wasn’t worth this!

When they reached the break room he indicated for her to sit down on a sofa. He sat on the sofa catty-cornered to hers. Those eyes were burning into hers again. She put her head into her hands, the trembling becoming violent now. The tension continued to grow as the silence stretched on. She swallowed, realizing she had to take the lead in this conversation. With the strength she had gained from facing a youma, she straightened and faced him. “What did you want to talk about?” she said with forced calmness.

His jaw clenched. “I want to know why you’ve obviously written so eloquently about a man you’ve never met.”

Her eyes widened. Did she give herself away? He acted like she didn’t know Tuxedo Kamen, however. She was going to have to tread carefully. “I just wrote it as if it were Sailor Moon singing to Tuxedo Kamen,” she replied. “There’s nothing wrong with that, is there?”

He leaned forward. “Odango, you sang that song straight from your heart. You weren’t singing as Sailor Moon. Don’t deny it.”

“I did too sing as if I was Sailor Moon,” she insisted, as it was the truth, deliberately ignoring the rest of what he said.

He shook his head. “He’s not someone to be romanticizing about. He’s dangerous. He’s an unknown.”

She stared at him in bewilderment. “All of them are unknown,” she pointed out. “How do you know he’s the dangerous one? For all you know they all could be!”

“That’s true. You shouldn’t be fantasizing about any of them.”

“How dare you! Who do you think you are?!”

“We’ve established I’m your friend. Odango, go crush on a normal guy. Don’t pine after someone you don’t know. It’s not healthy.”

Tears pricked her eyes. “I’m sorry I ever shared that song,” she said raggedly. “Everyone’s going to make fun of me or do what you’re doing now. It was never meant to be shared, ever.”

Silence befell them after that declaration; Mamoru seeming to be at a loss for words.

“I can’t crush on a ‘normal guy’,” she said. “It’ll never be anyone but him.”

“Odango…”

Something within Usagi broke. “I’m tired of it. I’m tired of hearing that he’s dangerous and he’s the enemy, and that the Senshi and he have different agendas.” She froze, scared she let out more than she should’ve. Her eyes glanced towards Mamoru, hoping to see confusion there. His eyes were blown wide. Oh, no. “It’s just stuff I’ve heard from the news,” she said hurriedly.

He shook his head sadly. “How did you get caught up in all of this?” he asked. “I’ve never imagined you girls to be such avid fans, to the point of obsession!”

“A cat.”

“What?”

“Never mind. I’m just tired. May I go now?”

“Promise me you’ll never do this again.”

“Do what?”

“Dress like the Senshi. Pretend that you are singing as Sailor Moon to Tuxedo Kamen. You could attract the enemy. I don’t want to see you hurt.”

Her head tilted downward, her hands fisting into her skirt. “I appreciate your concern, Mamoru-baka, but it’s okay. I can take care of myself.”

His hands fisted into his lap. “You don’t know what those evil beings are capable of.”

“Yes. I. Do.” She took a deep breath as she stood. “I’m done talking about this with you. Mind your own business.”

“Odango!”

She was quickly across the room and out the door, and making a beeline for the exit. She needed space. She ran until she found a nearby alleyway.

“Moon Prism Power, Make Up!”

Then she was off, hopping rooftops, burning steam while her mind raced. They were just having fun. There was nothing wrong with having fun. He didn’t know anything. He was just as blind as any other fan. Yet she could see things from his perspective. Maybe just dressing up as the Senshi would’ve been fine. She never imagined how much the other partygoers would want the Senshi to act out their roles. Then Minako encouraged even more suspicious behavior. Was she…drunk? They were underage and they were Senshi. She’d have to have a talk with Minako later - leader to Senshi. Then she never should have sung that song. That’s when things went too far. She should have made up something on the spot, but she was too embarrassed having to sing like that in front of the crowd. Instead, she embarrassingly laid bare the deepest secret of her heart.

At least Mamoru didn’t think that she was Sailor Moon. Should she be glad or offended? She felt both. The hints were there, after all. No, she should be glad. She was still a Sailor Senshi, and it was her job to protect him from the truth. That was her cross to bear and she did so gladly. As embarrassing as it was, it was better to let him think she was an obsessed fan. She could play it off the next time she talked with people. She’d bury that secret deep down into her soul, back to where it belonged.

The only thing she’d never do is make that promise to Mamoru. Never. She’ll stop short of getting dates with other guys. She’ll always hope Tuxedo Kamen would come around.

Nodding in satisfaction, she turned about and headed back to the party. She was going to enjoy herself. The damage had already been done. Hopefully the love of the crowd would lift her spirits. She hadn’t gotten far when a familiar figure jumped down into her path.

“Tuxedo Kamen-sama?”

Chapter 3

“Sailor Moon,” he intoned as he looked about. “Where’s the youma?”

“Oh - there isn’t one.”

He took a step forward. “You’re upset.”

Her eyebrows furrowed. “Do you come when I’m upset?”

He paused before slowly nodding. “Yes.”

“No wonder you’re always there,” she breathed, wondering at the magic of it. It was another indication the two of them had a bond.

“Yes. Care to talk about what’s wrong?”

She turned away. “It’s nothing,” she mumbled. She felt him still standing behind her, waiting. “I’m just upset by some stuff a guy told me tonight.”

A moment passed. “I see. What did he say?”

She turned towards him. “He wants me to give up on you.”

“Give up on me?”

“Yeah.” she said uncomfortably.

“He’s not wrong.”

Her hands clenched into fists as tears pricked her eyes. “Do you really think so?” she asked hoarsely.

“We’re enemies, remember? We have our different agendas.”

“I’m tired of it,” she said, echoing her earlier words to Mamoru. “I’m tired of hearing that you’re dangerous and you’re the enemy, and that the Senshi and you have different agendas. You’re not our enemy, nor will I ever treat you as one. I’ll always defend you. I’ll always love you.”

He stilled. “You barely know me,” he said gruffly.

“I’ve known you for two years now. I believe in your character. You always do the right thing.” She took the last step forward, placing her hands on his chest and pressing her cheek against him. “I’ll never stop loving you,” she declared softly.

“You don’t know what you’re saying,” he said, shaking his head even as his arms wrapped around her.

“Look, I get it. Our missions are keeping us apart,” she said sorrowfully. “But someday I hope that’ll change. Just know that I’ll never give up on you.”

“You should love someone who can love you back. Some normal guy who won’t hurt you.”

It sounded just like Mamoru, making her say sharply, “No.” She went to say more, but the sound of her communicator permeated the air. She stiffened, staring at Tuxedo Kamen in alarm.

“What is that?” he asked, noting her fear.

“Nothing,” she said, pulling herself free from his embrace. “I’ve gotta go.”

“Sailor Moon, I can feel you’re in trouble,” he said lowly. “Is it a youma?”

Her shoulders slumped. “Probably.” Should she open her communicator in front of him? She certainly wasn’t going to lose him now. She pulled it out of her subspace pocket and flipped it open. “Moon here.”

“Where are you?” Sailor Mars asked. “Did you leave?!”

“I did,” she said. “What’s going on? Is there a youma?”

“Yes!”

“Where?”

“At the arcade.”

“On my way.” She snapped the communicator shut. “Time to go,” she said awkwardly.

“Lead the way.”

She oriented herself, noting she wasn’t that far from the arcade. She scoped out the arcade from a neighboring rooftop. The windows were cracked and there was screaming inside. Her heart sank. Mamoru was right. They never should’ve come here posing as the Senshi. Obviously word got out to the Dark Kingdom.

“I’m going in,” she told her savior. She suited actions to words, hopping down, racing towards the arcade doors.

They were locked or busted. She couldn’t get in - and from what she could see, nearly all of the partygoers were still inside. She glanced at the arcade’s windows with a sigh. She inwardly sent an apology to Motoki as she pulled off her tiara. She waved at the people inside, who wisely moved back.

“Allow me.”

Roses flew at the window until it completely shattered, allowing the two of them enough space to leap through. She took in the youma currently draining the partygoers’ energy, then glared at the Dark Kingdom General floating above it.

“How dare you disrupt a party meant to be just for fun! People want to pretend to be monsters for Halloween, not have a real one appear! Standing for love and justice, I am the beautiful sailor-suited Senshi, Sailor Moon! In the name of the moon, I’ll punish you!”

“Finally, the leader of the Senshi arrives,” Zoisite said. “I heard that you had been here earlier and decided to crash your little party. Nice singing, by the way.”

“I was not here!” Sailor Moon said hotly. “You must be talking about someone who dressed up like me.”

“Well, no matter,” he said dismissively. “This is the perfect opportunity to gather some energy. Perhaps your doppelganger would like to come forward?”

Of course, no one stepped forward. “I won’t allow it!” Sailor Moon said furiously.

“She will if she doesn’t want anyone here to die.”

“Die?!” The Dark Kingdom had never actually killed anyone before. “You wouldn’t dare!”

“Oh, I would, if it reveals Sailor Moon’s identity.”

“We’re not going to stand idly by and watch you harm people!” Sailor Jupiter butted in.

“Exactly! In the name of Mars, I’ll chastise you!”

“Douse yourself in water, and repent!”

“Asou, proceed,” Zoisite instructed.

“Right,” the youma said before starting its attacks again.

“GO, GO SAILOR SENSHI!!” the crowd chanted as they watched.

“Where’s Usagi and the others?” someone murmured. “Do you think they’d escaped somehow? They’re missing the battle.”

“Mamoru-kun is missing, too,” Motoki said. “I hope he got away. Some people did go out the back room before it got busted."

“Should we try to go out the window?” someone else asked.

“I don’t know. You’d get cut up by glass,” Motoki said worriedly.

“I saw some people get away,” Sailor Moon lied as she stared at the battle, waiting for her opportunity to strike. “So you’re being stupid, Zoisite.”

“I’ll just track down the girl then,” Zoisite said with a shrug. “Or girls. All of them were captured on video.”

“They aren’t the real Sailor Senshi!” Sailor Moon shouted. The others obviously had inaccurate costumes and she had been hidden by the power of the transformation pen. The only reason anyone else had recognized her was because she’d given her identity away to the partygoers in the first place.

“It’s so convenient that all five of your doppelgangers got away,” Zoisite said with a smirk. “Or are they hiding somehow?”

“I don’t know!” Sailor Moon yelled in frustration. She wasn’t giving anything away. She was tired of his talking. “Moon Tiara Boomerang!” she shouted as she attacked.

Zoisite dodged effortlessly, but then Sailor Moon instinctively did something new - she willed the trajectory of the tiara to change, slicing Zoisite’s jaw. “That’s it!” he snarled, making to move towards her. He was stopped by the multitude of roses flying straight towards the General, pinning him into the wall behind him.

“Thank you, Tuxedo Kamen-sama!”

“With pleasure, Sailor Moon.”

But as they celebrated their mini victory, the other Senshi were blown backwards by the youma. “No!” Sailor Moon ran towards the youma. “Moon Tiara Boomerang!” Sailor Moon bellowed, the force of her voice shattering the night. Everyone, including the youma, flinched. The youma promptly turned to dust. She turned toward the glaring Zoisite. “Have you a death wish?” she asked venomously.

“Sailor Moon!” the other Senshi said, scandalized.

“Go ahead, I dare you, oh hero of love and justice,” Zoisite said with a smirk.

“Maybe we should just leave him up there,” Sailor Jupiter mused.

“Do you think he’d starve to death?” Sailor Venus wondered.

“No, please!” Motoki cut in. “That’d be bad for my business.”

“Of course, Oni - I mean, sir,” Sailor Moon stammered. “Tuxedo Kamen, let him go.”

“Why?” the hero of Tokyo growled. “He’s threatened too many people to just be let go.”

“Fine. Let me try something.” She pulled out her Crescent Moon Wand. “Moon Healing Escalation!” The power engulfed the General, leaving him screaming while the others in the room gasped in wonder. When the magic faded, Zoisite was slumped over, unconscious.

“That’s interesting,” Sailor Mercury said as she faced Zoisite fully. “Mercury Aqua Mist!”

The water from the attack sprayed Zoisite’s face, rousing him into consciousness. He looked around puzzledly. “What? How? Who am I?” he asked in utter confusion.

“Well that takes care of that,” Sailor Jupiter said with a smirk.

The roses faded. The crowd kept back as Zoisite stumbled forward after his feet touched the ground.

“You, sir, need to leave,” Motoki said firmly. “Wait,” he said sheepishly, “do you Senshi mind getting the doors to open?”

Sailor Mercury scanned the doors with her computer. “It’s an electrical issue,” she said, looking at Sailor Jupiter.

“Just tell me what to do,” the Senshi of Lightning said. The two figured it out quickly. Zoisite was subsequently ushered out into the night. The crowd cheered after he disappeared.

“TO THE SAILOR SENSHI!!!”everyone shouted with grateful enthusiasm! “TO TUXEDO KAMEN-SAMA!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!”

“YOU’RE WELCOME!” the Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen yelled back, everyone smiling at their victory.

“Will you take pictures with us?” Umino’s voice rang out.

“Not a chance,” Sailor Moon responded. “C’mon everyone!” The heroes disappeared out the doors and into the night sky, the full moon’s light shining brightly upon them.

Chapter 4

Usagi and the other Senshi showed up nervously to the arcade the next morning, uncertain that the others would believe they had successfully gotten away and they weren’t the Sailor Senshi after all.

Mamoru sat at the counter sipping his coffee as usual. Motoki made eye contact and waved cheerfully. “Hi, girls! Are you okay?”

“We’re fine,” Usagi said. “We managed to get away early on. Sorry for abandoning you guys.”

“Not at all,” Motoki said. “It was for the best. That evil man threatened you. If it weren’t for the Senshi erasing his memory, he’d probably have killed you.”

“Oh?” Usagi’s eyes widened, before forcing herself to wail. “HOW SCARY!”

“There, there,” Rei said sharply, patting her leader on the shoulder. “We’re all fine now. I’m glad Mamoru’s fine, too.”

“Yes, I got away early on as well.”

“Glad to hear it,” Usagi said guiltily. “Girls, go ahead. I’ll order for us.”

“Okay!” the girls chirped as they headed to their usual booth.

Usagi swallowed. “Listen, Mamoru. I’m sorry for what I said yesterday. You were right. I promise I’ll never dress like Sailor Moon or act like her again.”

“Apology accepted,” he said.

“At least the Senshi showed up to take care of things,” she added.

“Yes, they did.”

A moment of silence passed before Usagi remembered she was supposed to order food. Once she had finished and Motoki turned away, Mamoru asked quietly, “Are you going to follow my advice and find a normal guy?”

“Maybe,” Usagi said evasively. “Don’t worry about me, Mamoru-kun, okay?.”

He took in her features while she sweated bullets. “Okay,” he said.

She flounced off towards her booth, towards her friends, who all were talking about the party the night before.

“We were great!” Minako gushed.

“It was fun up until the end,” Ami said.

“The Senshi crushed them,” Makoto said, her fist going into her palm.

“That they did,” Rei said, smiling.

“They sure put on a show, didn’t they?” Usagi said.

“And put that evil jerk in his place,” Ami said.

“Ami-chan!”

“Well it’s true,” Ami said. “I, for one, am grateful.”

“I wonder where he went,” Usagi said.

“Who cares?” Minako retorted. “He’s a nobody now and deserves whatever he gets!”

The food arrived. “Thanks, Motoki-oniisan!”

“No problem, Usagi-chan,” Motoki said with a big smile before turning away.

The girls picked up their glasses and clanked them in unison. “TO THE SAILOR SENSHI!” they toasted.

“TO THE SAILOR SENSHI!!!” everyone else in the arcade cheered.

“TO TUXEDO KAMEN!” Usagi cheered.

“TO TUXEDO KAMEN!!!”

To the surprise of the Senshi, some of the partygoers repeated the final refrain of the Senshi’s song:

Sailor Senshi, a symphony of might, Guided by stars, spreading love’s light. Together they’ll stand, forever strong, Safeguarding the world, righting every wrong.

As they cheered and whooped the girls smiled, and unbeknownst to them, a small smile tugged at Mamoru’s lips, hidden by his coffee cup.

It felt good to be appreciated.

🤥 LYING - are they good liars? do they have tells to show they’re lying?

( Ironically, Saya, Masaru, and Shintarō are good liars although they can be blunt as well! Chantelle is also a liar because Pisces people tend to appear polite but they talk behind people's back. For Saya, she may sound a little hesitant when she is telling a lie but since in modern days, she has a reserved nature in canon, people may think she's just being awkward. One time when Chantelle lied when I was writing with @sportbaes , she had a lot of pauses while talking lol. Masaru may act a little exaggerated when he is lying / acting but I'm sure his acting skills will improve since in his main verse, he is an undercover demon slayer. As for Shintarō, he's mastered the art of having a stoic face so he's the hardest to detect he is lying except when Kazunari Takao ( tagging my dear Takao in here @ervaurem ) tells the truth about him being shy or actually wanting to wanting to be with the others and he goes "No!" That's the only time he's obviously lying.

😨 FEARFUL - when scared, do they go into “flight” or “fight”?

Saya's reaction to fight or flight has been answered here!

Masaru is a fighter so his reaction in most verses is to fight, especially since in most verses, he's been trained to.

Beneath that sweet demeanor that Chantelle has, lies a woman who becomes competitive and cunning on the court. Dolphins are evil and she has the wild instincts of the Bottlenose dolphin and she's earned them by fighting against people on the basketball court with her skills even if she does get a little scared in the beginning. She won't fight back when her elder sister, Constance, is bullying her at school. Which while writing with you Jenny, my brain started to headcanon that Shintarō once witnessed it which is why he no longer not considers her as a friend because of her blood type. I'll eventually have to drabble out the bullying and it'll be part of my Senshi no Basuke crossover.

Shintarō wasn't much of a fighter growing up. He's probably gotten bullied for carrying lucky items and I headcanon that my oc sister for him, Mika, had to call his bullies out and catch them in the act for them to stop. It wouldn't surprise me if seeing Mika's bravery inspired him as he got older and with his lucky item, he's fearless and depending how high Cancers are on the astrological ranking, he's unstoppable. Look at the time the Generation of Miracles encountered a bike thief in junior high, he just thought rationally, took Atsushi Murasakibara's ice pops, and did a three pointer that he knew would hit the thief. In Replace Plus, guy just used his Daruma to throw it at the guy who tried to throw a cup at Satsuki Momoi. As long as he has something to use for three-pointers, he can fight. I think he would only be afraid if his lucky item wasn't around since his bad luck is out to give him painful karmic retribution.

🖍️ CRAYON - what advice would you give to them?

For canon! Saya, I want to advise her to not see all Chiropterans as evil. Some humans have good and bad in them too, it's the same with her kind.

For Masaru... I'm sure he can advise me better since he's a lawyer but he does need to cool off with his jealousy.

For Chantelle, I want to tell her to not try to aim for acceptance wit her her elder sisters who hate her but she's so giving that she'll probably not listen to me anyways and somehow she and her sisters will reach an understanding but I'll have to figure that out in the future.

For Shintarō, I want to tell him to not be so closed off since there are people he can trust but he probably thinks of me and Chantelle as foolishly kind and too trusting anyways and he has gone through pain. Hopefully as he grows and does meet people who he can care for, his character will grow and lo and behold, actually apologize to others properly as @ervaurem once mentioned! )

The Rules: Tag (9) people you want to know better and/or catch up with, then answer the following:

Four Ships:

Oh boy. TBH I'm not that into shipping really. I guess I have a few though.

Brainy x Nia (CW Supergirl): Definitely the beta couple of the last couple seasons of the show. I do kinda wonder how their relationship would've developed had Season 5 played out as planned (the ending of the season got kinda messed up due to COVID lockdowns, which is why the "beat Leviathan" plot got carried over to the beginning of Season 6). They got a fair amount of focus in Season 6, as they dealt with how Brainy's actions in Season 5 affected them (also they had to write Kara out for most of the season because her actress was on maternity leave, forcing them to instead focus episodes on the rest of Supergirl's team). I felt it was a strong ship, with two goofy, geeky people - one an alien genius who's not very used to having emotions period and the other a half-human, half-alien girl with dream-related powers - who both clearly like each other but don't know how to spit it out. The "Prom!" two-parter, where they go back in time to get DNA to help track down Kara, had them try to fit in in late-90s small town America, which was hilarious. Also, in general, even with all the hype over Nia being the first transgender superhero ever (she's also played by a real-life trans rights hero, Nicole Maines), aside from a little focus when she was first introduced, they haven't made it her sole defining trait, and have developed her beyond that, which I appreciate. I'm not sure their relationship had its full time to develop - towards the end it seemed doomed to fail since at some point Brainy was going to have to go back to the future time he came from. But in the finale he decided to "screw destiny" and came back for her, so they still have a chance!

Pokéshipping (Ash x Misty): From Pokémon, obviously. This is Pokémon's oldest ship and I have stood by it for years (to be fair, I haven't seen enough of the anime to justify the other Ash ships anyway). But then I'm biased, since Misty has long been a favorite character of mine from Pokémon. It's been cool seeing her come back in more recent seasons and still have a dynamic with Ash. It started with him accidentally frying her bike with Pikachu, and her tagging along to make him pay her back, but they ultimately developed a strong friendship, which I think is only rivaled by his friendship with Dawn probably. Of course, since I ship them, I wish there could be more - and there are songs showing Misty has feelings for him ("Misty's Song," "He Drives Me Crazy," "I've Got a Secret" from Pokémon Live). The second movie also teased the idea, though Misty strongly denied it. As for Ash, we have no idea how he feels. But let's be fair, he barely acknowledged Serena's feelings, and hers as far as I can tell were WAY more obvious than Misty's (Serena pretty much started traveling with Ash cause she had a crush on him). So I'm guessing he's just completely oblivious. He'd have to grow up a lot to realize how Misty feels. And now Ash's time in the anime is basically over. Though, they did leave things pretty open-ended with him, so...

Yowzah (Doctor x River Song): This is basically my main ship from Doctor Who (though I do also support Tenrose). For this ship, I usually define it as Eleven x River specifically, since they interact the most. Though their relationship is crazy complicated, their banter is always fun to see when they do meet. Because I didn't watch Doctor Who quite in order when catching up on old seasons, I actually saw their romance in basically chronological order - starting with Series 5-7 and ending with 4, where Ten meets her but she ends up dying - which somehow made it even more poignant. I did appreciate that before Steven Moffat left, he resolved their whole thing by having Twelve finally take River to Darillium (the last place River saw "her" Doctor before traveling to the Library and meeting Ten), and having Twelve come to terms with her being gone. While there are still Big Finish audios coming out to flesh out River's personal canon, I consider her timeline with The Doctor finished, and I don't expect her to show up again (although, they brought back Jack Harkness, so I guess no one's safe). I don't feel like there's any sort of future they could give them - "The Name of the Doctor" already showed River post-death. I suppose they could delve into their past still, especially if they keep the Timeless Child plotline when Russell T. Davies takes over again. I'd kinda love for River to meet the Fugitive Doctor. I feel like they would be BFFs in a heartbeat. At any rate, River is a fun character, and for now I've been indulging my interest in this ship via the Eleventh Doctor fanfic I've been working on for years (I have an idea for a ship fic with them too).

Mamoru x Hina (PGSM): So not sure this is even a ship but decided to add it anyway. When it comes to Sailor Moon, I'm typically in the Usagi x Mamoru camp pretty strongly. Especially in the manga, where their relationship really gets some deep development (it gets development in the anime too, but not in the same way I feel like). But the live-action series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon just didn't do their relationship justice. I get that they had limited episodes to work with, but they could've done better. They also tried to make things more dramatic by revealing Mamoru was engaged, right at the point of the show when Usagi was starting to think maybe he wasn't so bad after all. And then try to twist the knife even more by making Usagi realize that "OMG this guy's girlfriend is actually NICE." Hina, meanwhile, didn't get much development beyond being the "other woman" who clearly loved Mamoru more than he did her. That she was the "childhood friend" in this scenario probably didn't help either (anyone who's watched/read enough shoujo knows that the "childhood friend" rarely wins in a love triangle). She did at least respect that Mamoru had a lost past he was trying to find clues to, and tried to be supportive as much as she could. And when Mamoru got cut off from a call with her when Kunzite attacked him, she seemed genuinely upset. (She also got upset when she found Usagi's handkerchief in Mamoru's dresser, but that's more like a "OMG are you cheating on me?" kind of upset). Ultimately she saw the writing on the wall and broke up with Mamoru. I mean, sure, if the show was going to follow the original Sailor Moon plot, Mamoru and Usagi were going to have to end up together somehow. But instead of trying to create a genuine love triangle with actual drama attached, they had Mamoru in a relationship he didn't really care about and Usagi, as much as it pained her, willing to honor that relationship. Thus they started to kinda reluctantly become just friends instead. But while it can be argued they did develop some feelings for each other eventually, their whole romance seems to be based on the fact that they loved each other in their past lives, and fate is doing its darnedest to bring them together again. Except that in the past that caused the destruction of the Earth, a fact that initially no one remembers except Sailor Venus, Zoisite, and Kunzite, which is why those three are pretty strongly against Usagi and Mamoru getting together (Beryl also tries to split them up later, either personally or through her "shadow" Mio, since the Beryl/Serenity/Endymion love triangle is also still a thing). Then they get separated since Mamoru goes to study abroad in England, and then later lets Beryl capture him to save the Shitennou, causing all this angst where Usagi tries really hard not to make the Silver Crystal activate, as this would not only make her hardcore "I don't care about anything but my prince" Princess Sailor Moon side come out, but it also inadvertently powers Queen Metallia, neither of which is good for the safety of the Earth. Even once Beryl is defeated and Usagi and Mamoru are *finally* set to get married, it's clear Mamoru is not that enthusiastic about it, which is what leads to Usagi breaking things off and Mio showing up and being like "I'M BAAACK" and kidnapping Mamoru to be her groom in her circus-inspired base. So...anyway, it's just hard for me to ship Usagi x Mamoru in PGSM for these reasons, so I lean more toward shipping Hina with Mamoru. After all, the short "Hina Afterward" made it clear that she still thought about him after they broke up.

Last Song: Not a song per se, but...the Suzume soundtrack on Spotify. It's actually quite a good soundtrack. Sadly, they didn't include the songs Serizawa plays in his car during the road trip part of the movie (probably for copyright reasons), but I found a couple Spotify playlists people made of the songs he plays: this one and this one. One of them is "Rouge no Dengon," the opening song to Kiki's Delivery Service, which I recognized immediately when I first heard it as that's my favorite Ghibli film.

Currently Reading: This translation of Virgil's The Aeneid, translated by David Ferry. It was the one recommended by Blue of the YouTube channel Overly Sarcastic Productions in his Virgil video, so I figured it had to be good. Now, being a mythology buff, I knew something about the Aeneid going into this (I also watched OSP's video covering it), but I'd never read it in verse before now. And it is actually quite good. Sure there are boring lists of people at times, and Virgil spends like 10 stanzas describing the decorations on Aeneas's shield in great detail, which I could care less about. While I definitely had to consult the list of names in the back a few times to know what stuff was, the text was otherwise quite understandable as is, which isn't easy with old texts like this as far as I can tell. Ferry does a good job making it readable but not TOO modern. Would recommend.

Last Movie: The anime movie Suzume, directed by Makoto Shinkai, who did Your Name and Weathering With You. As I mentioned in this post, it's REALLY GOOD.

Craving: I'm looking forward to the game Hogwarts Legacy. The Switch version got delayed till July and it bugs me a lot. Also, this game called Sea of Stars is finally coming out soon that I backed on Kickstarter. I've never backed a video game on there before, so that's exciting! Besides that...I bought a TON of 3DS and DS games in my pursuit to get the games I wanted before the 3DS eShop shut down a couple months ago, so looking forward to those. In the process, I found out my DS Lite can still read GBA cartridges, allowing me to replay old favorites like Kim Possible 2: Draaken's Demise and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon as well as games I missed (like all of the Gen 3 Pokémon games - if I can track them down - and Tales of Phantasia, which I just recently found out even HAD a GBA version).

As for non-gaming things...I haven't been to Disneyland in years, despite living less than 2 hours away from it. Sure, as an autistic person, theme parks can be kind of a nightmare, but I really love Disney movies. Also, I haven't been there since before the Star Wars land was completed, so I really want to go there and see that, as I'm also a big Star Wars fan.

Also I do miss doing covers on my YouTube channel, I'll admit. I'd also like to do more collabs, but the SeraMyu cover community seems kinda dead now, especially since our sort of Fearless Leader (and the one who encouraged me to join in the first place) @sailorzakuro seems to have moved on.

AO3/FF.net Stats Quiz

Thanks @hikamaus for tagging me! Especially considering I’ve not published anything new chapters or stories for over a decade, and only mention me *struggling* to write here and there. lol

➼ What is your total posted word count on AO3?

So I opened an AO3 account planning to migrate things from FF.net to AO3, but haven’t gotten around to doing it yet. On FF.net though, my posted word count is 241,711.

➼ How often do you write?

Weekly I’m hashing out and rehashing out plot points and key dialogues I have in mind for any stories I have building. But in terms of actually writing the stories, I go in waves - e.g. I had a really good run of writing during all of my free times daily from Dec 2021 - Mar 2022, and then I hit a slump and then the flow stopped, and now I’m back to maybe writing a paragraph here or there every weekend.

➼ Do you have a routine for writing?

Not really. Mainly just putting headphones on with music that reflects the mood of the chapter/content I want to write, and then fully going at it. I have multiple fanfic writing playlists for such a purpose on my iTunes. lol

➼ What are your favourite tropes/pairings?

Tropes - not really. I don’t really care about or look for any specific tropes, I’m more picky in choosing stories with good character portrayal. That being said, hurt/comfort stories are typically the easiest to get me hooked.

I also used to read a lot of SwanQueen fanfiction.

➼ Do you have a favourite fic of yours?

... Sadly nope.

I definitely have high hopes of where I want to get Echoes of Time to but the fact I’m in the process of rewriting everything because I cringe in reading my old writing tell you what I think about the story at this moment. That being said, Echoes of Times is the only one I’m thinking of rewriting out of everything I’ve posted, so it definitely holds a very special place in my heart.

➼ Your fic with the most kudos / reviews?

Echoes of Time. But that’s probably also because it’s my longest fic. 195 reviews for 25 chapters... On average 7.8 reviews per chapter, doesn’t seem too shabby for a small community?

➼ Anything you don’t like about your writing?

Lots of run on sentences. lol I’m sure there’re many other small things that bugs me when I read my old work, but most significant is what I can think of.

➼ Now something you do like?

I don’t see this too much in reading PGSM fanfic, but I do appreciate the amount of action I’ve already got written into Echoes of Times. As well, I like how I try to put emphasis on all the Senshi and Shitennous in the story even though Rei and Minako are my main characters. I wanted Echoes of Time to be my vision of a PGSM sequel, which meant I would respect and follow the original material as much as I can in pacing, story development, character dynamics, and more importantly, putting emphasis on where Usagi and Mamoru should be the actual main player of why and how things happen, but I’m still trying to write the story in Rei and Minako’s perspective. Striking that balance has been a challenge, but despite all the issues I’ve had with my old writing, balancing perspectives and character roles and involvements hasn’t been an issue I feel like I had yet. So in that sense, I’m quite proud of myself!

Since this is a PGSM blog, but I’ve longed since stopped reading new PGSM/Sailor Moon fanfictions, and I rarely engage with fanfic writing on Tumblr, I don’t really know who writes what and who to tag...

@lilkearnsie - I know you’ve not written PGSM fanfic in a long time (possibly fanfiction altogether), but I’ve always enjoyed revisiting your Reinako stories.

@shitennouland - I also don’t know if you’ve written recently? But thanks for being my beta when I first started writing! <3

i. this is a independent roleplay blog for queen beryl from bishoujo senshi sailor moon.

ii. this blog is low activity because of my personal life (work/life). this blog is also mutuals only and is a sideblog currently to @lunarnoire. all follow backs will come from there!

iii. no god-modding and/or meta-gaming! i’m aware that queen beryl is, obviously, a villain and as such does things villains do like… well basically gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss ™. this is my second time roleplaying a villain (i write black lady too) so i don’t want to step on anyone’s toes especially given beryl’s nature.

iv. i tend to match my partners in terms of length but sometimes my replies may be on the longer side. according to an dic adventure doll released by bandai during the 90s, beryl's likes are anarchy, bedlam and chaos. she dislikes sailor moon and the other senshi. her hobbies are snooping, spying, and sabotage and her special strengths are the ability to control her henchmen. her favorite food is liver ; her favorite color is black ; her favorite animal is a scorpion; and her favorite topic of conversation is world domination. it also lists her birthday as november 1st and her age as "twenty-something". i view beryl around the same age as whatever queen serenity is supposed to be - at least physically - so i will be using this old doll info from the dic dub at my disposal. lol

** - i view queen beryl as a human as she is from the earth kingdom during the time of silver millennium and was reborn as a normal human in the present age before , both times , being ultimately corrupted by queen metalia. beryl was a sage before metalia, an invader from the sun, noticed the conflictions and darkness in her heart and ultimately used that to her own ends. beryl is corrupted by the evil that is metalia and to symbolize this, her hair is no longer black but is instead brilliant red, her teeth sharpen into fangs, her nails into claws, her ears become pointed (naoko says her ears are like black holes in the materials collection), and horns grow out of her shoulders.

it's been a while since i watched the musicals but i remember beryl going through some real character growth and going through redemption in the musicals based on the stars arc. she is allies with galaxia and has a change of heart after witnessing / realizing her beloved, endymion, is dead. she helps sailor moon and the other senshi in the fight against galaxia and chaos and i believe that, in the end, beryl would've chosen redemption over the darkness if it meant endymion was safe. also cuz i don't think it's fair that the four heavenly kings are offered redemption or freed from their brainwashing depending on which canon you watch, but beryl is rarely, if ever, offered the same courtesy. i haven't decided if this will just be relegated to my musical verse(s) or not. i'll come to a decision once i finish rewatching the musicals. lol

the series never really goes into much depth about who beryl was before metalia, but i like to think that given what scraps we are given, beryl was a benevolent sage of endymion's court who adhered to the laws that both peoples of the moon and earth followed - which were ultimately broken by princess serenity and prince endymion with their forbidden love. beryl knew of their secret meetings and was jealous, however she never acted on this jealousy but instead suffered in agony wondering why her dear endymion did not have eyes for someone like her. this caused her to eventually come to dislike the princess of the moon which, in turn, caused metalia to offer beryl the means of which to take her love for her own. beryl, distraught and full of warped hatred, gives into metalia and becomes beryl , queen of darkness. with her newfound powers, she brainwashes the four heavenly kings to fall completely and utterly under her control. in a sense, i view her as the opposite of usagi - like a foil to her. i think pre-metalia , beryl was probably similar to usagi in a lot of aspects, but ultimately her love would become her downfall whereas usagi's would be her strength.

in the manga and crystal, beryl is wary of metalia and the power that she offers. beryl would rather betray metalia and be queen of the earth with endymion at her side then serve metalia.

my sister and i joked about this once when we were watching either crystal or pgsm together, but like??? what if beryl could also use her tiara as a boomerang like usagi too??? and so this attack would be called dark metalia boomerang!

i know crystal has usagi/sailor moon defeat beryl but i hated that so much cuz they took away a beautiful moment for minako to shine as a leader so in my crystal verse, i'm headcanon...-ing that minako/sailor venus was the one to defeat beryl.

im currently re-reading and re-watching the series (manga, both animes, live action, and musicals) so i might add more stuff here during my re-watch if i find it relevant. i also plan to sit down and play another story some time, too, but i'm not sure how long beryl is in that game. i tend to do this every year or so because sailor moon is my favourite series too! so there is that. lol

my interpretation of beryl is largely INFLUENCED by the MANGA and the musicals. i grew up watching the 90s anime. the first season as well as the promise of the rose movie are my favorites. i love, love, love, love the manga though, but i am not adverse to engaging with the 90s anime as like i said i grew up with it. i also love the musicals, too, and crystal. the dream arc is my favorite arc of sailor moon and i really love the sailor v manga too and my delulu dream is that someday toei will do another attempt at a sailor v anime and possibly even there will be a sailor v musical!! and game!!

*these are the heights of her myu actresses in order that they played her so yuri -> akiko and then the third one is for makoto and the last is for aya as i could not find heights for her other actresses.

my favorite musicals for beryl are eien densetsu and its revision (this is one of my favorite musicals in general outside of nogimyu and the dracul series as well as the nelke myus with satomi and hotaru as usagi.) and nogimyu. i don't remember much of beryl in the others outside of gaiden dark kingdom , the very first sera myu. i think the other bandai myus she appears in after eien densetsu are basically just eien densetsu with changes. outside of the manga/crystal, the primary source i will be pulling from for beryl is the eien densetsu musicals , nogimyu, and la reconquista.

Silver Millennium was a time of peace in the solar system. Each planet enjoyed the peace that the silver crystal brought up and all was well. There was that ancient rule that the kingdoms of the moon and the earth were forbidden from interacting and so the kingdom of the moon watched over the inhabitants of the earth ever diligently. Beryl was a kindly, beautiful sage. She was employed in the court of Prince Endymion and his parents - the king and queen. As Beryl was of different social statuses than the prince, she could only watch him from afar - only interacting with him during her royal duties as sage but those interactions with the prince were far and few between. She could say she knew the king and queen much better but alas. She only truly wanted to know Endymion.

She fell for the handsome and regal young prince. Her every thought was consumed by his presence to the point where she had befriended his loyal retainers in an effort to become closer to the prince and to learn his deepest secrets. She only had eyes for him, but alas. He never had eyes for her - only viewing her as a friend or perhaps a sister. His eyes were for the princess of the moon, Princess Serenity, and her alone.

Beryl discovered his feelings for the radiant princess one day. She was always watching him from afar when not doing her duties and had learned his secret - a secret only her retainers and her mother, and his retainers knew. No one else.

Beryl was consumed with feelings she had never before. It was a raging, bottomless jealousy that roared like a blizzard inside of her. She felt nothing but disdain and contempt for the princess of the white moon. She thought that without her, perhaps she and Endymion could be together.

These dark feelings caught the attention of Queen Metalia - a figureless evil entity from the sun. She wormed her way into Beryl's heart , plotting even further seeds of malicious feelings inside of her. she told beryl that endymion could be her's and her's alone with the tremendous power that she could give her.

power. yes, that's what she needed. she needed power to obtain what she wanted most. her love.

she took metalia's offer and she is offered wonderous dark powers to obtain her love and to help obtain metalia's goal.

beryl uses her newfound powers to turn endymion's trusted retainers, the four heavenly kings, under her command. with metalia's powers she also brings the entire earth under her control and endymion's parents lose their very lives in the process.

traveling to the moon with an army behind her, the denizens of the earth fight against the denizens of the moon. beryl eventually loses her life to sailor venus and her holy sword, lamenting that she was not able to have endymion to herself.

when queen serenity uses the power of the silver crystal at the cost of her life to seal away metalia and wish for her daughter to have a normal life, beryl and the other denizens of earth are sent there as well until they are eventually reincarnated in the future.

beryl is reincarnated like so many others from the time of the silver millennium and pursues a career in archeology. she travels the world for her profession and uncovering ancient relics and ruins makes her nostalgic for a time long passed that she no longer remembers. during these travels, she encounters the reincarnated four heavenly kings and through a cruel twist of fate becomes friends with them. they all find kinship over the mutual feelings that they have over a life they've long forgotten - wondering if it is just their imagination or if there is something more.

unaware of her awakening, aino minako awakens as sailor v with the help of her companion, artemis, and soon beryl feels something stir deep within her. a kind of hatred she has never known. before she would look on at the moon with a sense of passivity - never understanding why so many people worshipped the moon. now she would look on it with disdain and disgust - cursing the very thing so many loved. and deep within her breast would burn a love so damaging, it choked her. where was this man she believed to be her soulmate? where was he?

beryl returns to japan after work had brought her to the ancient ruins of greece. she had to get away from those structures... those structures that made images dance behind her eyes of another life. she was sure this time that that time was real, but how could she prove it?

as she asks this question, a disembodied voice calls her. it tells her to travel to the north pole, to d point where all of her questions would be answered. and so beryl drops everything to make her way to a place rarely traveled to - if ever.

the voice continues to call for her and soon she finds what she is looking for - a giant cave leading to the deepest, most darkest place anyone could imagine and as she travels further and further into the cave, she discovers the remains of her beloved's kingdom and soon finds an ancient door. the voice is louder this time, desperate, and beryl opens the door and is greeted by the entity known as metalia. she restores beryl's memories and powers - this time beryl is transformed completely. her once jet black hair turns rose red; her ears become more pointed and the insides look like black holes; her teeth sharpen into fangs; her fingernails point out into claws; stones grow forth from her shoulders and she feels herself grow taller, grow stronger, and when her eyes open, she is

metalia instructs her to find the four heavenly kings and bring them under her command once more - and she does. she finds them in their respective regions that they once had governed in ages past and so the dark kingdom is revived.

from then on, beryl and the four heavenly kings seek to gather energy to give to queen metalia as they search for the legendary silver crystal to gain control over the world.

beryl would eventually lose her life to sailor venus once more and her memories before she was corrupted come back and her love once more chokes her and beryl dies thinking only of endymion again.

guidelines

i. This is a independent roleplay blog for BLACK LADY / WICKED LADY from Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. So! Not Chibiusa, but Black Lady. (I’ll probably still call her chibs in my ooc posts cuz same person but Black Lady was Chibs under the control of Wiseman.)

ii. This blog is low activity because of my personal life (work/life). This blog is also mutuals only.

iii. No god-modding and/or meta-gaming! I’m aware that Chibs as Black Lady has powers/abilities where she can forcefully hold other characters, and fling them away. Obviously things like this will be talked out beforehand. This is my first time roleplaying a villain so I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes especially since Black Lady is a manipulative character.

iv. I tend to match my partners in terms of length but sometimes my replies may be on the longer side. (I tag long posts with #long post if you need to filter it). Yes she may be over 902 but that be the perks of the Silver Crystal, y'know. She’s still a kid even though Wiseman twisted her dream to be a beautiful lady into something terrifying.

I’m aware Chibs has parental issues and you don’t have to worry about the whole father/daughter… weirdness ig that occurs when she’s Black Lady. I believe that Wiseman distorted Chibiusa’s dream of finding love and being a beautiful lady for his own ends and since Mamoru was one of the only positive male figures in her life… yeah. Not to mention it is a way for her as Black Lady under the power of darkness to get back at Usagi. But anyways!! I like Chibiusa and Helios. They’re very cute, but outside of alternate universes, you don’t have to worry about this and I won’t force it on anyone. NAME: PRINCESS SMALL LADY SERENITY / CHIBIUSA TSUKINO.

EYES: Red (look like Glass Beads).

Born as the only child to Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion, she was given the name "Usagi Small Lady Serenity" or "Chibiusa" for short. Due to her stagnated growth, Chibiusa was often bullied and ridiculed for still being a "child". This caused the people of the 30th century to believe that Chibiusa was not really the king and queen's daughter and was a "fake". She also never showed any signs of having powers like her mother which worried her parents.

To try and assuage his daughter's fears, King Endymion tells the young princess of the 30th century that she is much the same as her mother in that regard. He also tells her that 'Sailor Moon' is invincible. This falls flat as it makes Chibiusa feel that more distant from her mother and makes her believe even more that she will never be a wonderful lady like her mother and that her mother did not care about her at all.

This causes her to wander through the Crystal Palace where she finds the Door of Time and meets the solitary guardian, Sailor Pluto. The two would become good friends and Sailor Pluto would be instrumental in Chibiusa's awakening as both a Sailor Guardian and becoming free from Wiseman's control and delusions. Chibiusa falls to peer pressure from her young peers and steals her mother's Silver Crystal and shortly after this, the Black Moon Clan attacked the Earth. Chibiusa being racked with guilt at seeing her mother encased in crystal as well as the other Sailor Guardians, her father, and even Luna and Artemis being rendered immobile, she believed this to be the result of her own actions. Feeling alone, afraid, and desperate, Chibiusa uses the powers of her Luna-P ball to steal a Space-Time Key from her friend, Sailor Pluto, to seek the aid of the Sailor Guardians of the past to save her mother and the future.

Chibiusa escapes to the future where she meets the past versions of her mother and father and the inner Sailor Guardians and seeks their help. The Black Moon Clan follows the young princess to the past and tries to both abduct Chibiusa and stop the Guardians from foiling their plans. They take each of the Inner Sailor Guardians hostage except for Sailor Venus and her, Chibiusa, Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon travel to the future to rescue them. They are stopped by Sailor Pluto until Chibiusa is able to explain the situation and Sailor Pluto informs the trio of the misfortunes that have come to befall them. They make their way to the castle where King Endymion greets them and explains the origins of Chibiusa - that she is the sole daughter of Usagi and Mamoru and is the heir to both the legacy of Sailor Moon and kingdom of Crystal Tokyo.

While the Guardians and Mamoru are preoccupied with the Black Moon Clan, Chibiusa wanders alone - struggling with coming to terms over how her actions have affected everyone she loves and holds dear and even the lives of innocent people. Her feelings of loneliness and confusion are ripe enough for her to fall into Wiseman's hands and her beautiful dream of being of a beautiful lady and leader and having a beautiful romance like her parents is twisted into something awful and she is transformed into Black Lady, Queen of Darkness.

From this point on Black Lady is under the total control of Wiseman. She is responsible for summoning forth the true form of Wiseman and the planet of Nemesis. She helps Wiseman kill Rubeus and helps him give the Malefic Black Crystal Earrings to Saphir and Demande so they fall under his control. She puts Tuxedo Mask under her control and uses to him attack Sailor Moon and steal her Silver Crystal as well as summoning more Black Crystals to Crystal Tokyo in an attempt to destroy the Earth.

When Sailor Pluto freezes time and sacrifices herself so that the two Silver Crystals do not touch, Chibiusa is freed from Wiseman's control and Black Lady ceases to be.

In the 90s anime, Sailor Moon makes multiple attempts to restore Chibiusa to herself but ultimately fails until the final battle against Black Lady and Wiseman where both Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask as their future selves break through Wiseman's spell and free Chibiusa from his clutches.

Black Lady is mentioned again during the Dream Arc when Palla Palla puts a spell on Chibiusa and Usagi switching the growths so that Chibiusa appears older than she is and takes on a similar appearance to Black Lady, but not entirely as her appearance is much softer than the harshness of her dark form.

BLACKMOON. Feeling lonely and afraid, she wanders through space-time after losing her precious time key. Wiseman finds her and preys on her feelings of loneliness - promising that which she desires most. He twists her beautiful dream into something dark and the small lady becomes black lady - queen of darkness. With her newfound powers, she takes on the Sailor Guardians and calls forth not only Death Phantom but the planet, Nemesis as her and Death Phantom seek to end the reign of the White Moon.

BLACKROSE. The princess of the 30th century returns to the future with the Sailor Guardians and learns from her father that the Silver Crystal disappeared before the Black Moon Clan attacked. She believes the events after the attack and the damage her mother sustained in power were her fault and she runs away, leaving the protection of the Crystal Palace. Wiseman finds her and distorts her memories into something tragic and after taking advantage of her weakness, he uses his powers to transform into black lady - princess of darkness. The Princess of the White Moon (Sailor Moon) almost succeeds in restoring the once young [future] princess of the 30th century with the mysterious powers of the Silver Crystal but is saved by Wiseman.

BLACKRABBIT. This is the same as BLACKMOON as Sailor Moon Crystal follows the manga - albeit with a few differences to my chagrin in the beginning.

BIRTH. The Summer 2001 and Winter 2002 Musical follows the events of the Black Moon arc in the manga. Its revision introduces the Outer Senshi.

PETITE. The Summer 2014 Musical follows the events of the Black Moon arc in the manga.

Black Lady once again rises as a member of the Dead Moon Circus and is a formidable opponent for the Sailor Guardians.

DREAMREDUX. Chibiusa gives herself over to Queen Nehelania , offering her her beautiful dream in exchange for Helios's freedom and the safety of the people of Tokyo. What the young guardian doesn't know is that Nehelania has no intention of honoring her promise. The young princess's dream becomes tainted - her beautiful dream of being a beautiful lady and strong leader like her mother and finding a love as wonderful as her parents wilts. Black Lady once again rises as a member of the Dead Moon Circus and is a formidable opponent for the Sailor Guardians. Helios has continued to seek refuge in her beautiful dream in the hopes that he had can reach her through the darkness, but all Black Lady wants is to bring him into the darkness with her. Upon her return to the 20th century to aid Sailor Moon, Chibiusa is greeted by the Sailor Quartet - her team of Sailor Guardians - and they travel to the Galaxy Cauldron with the Starlights, Princess Kakyuu, and Sailor Chibi-Chibi. After crossing the river Styx and being confronted by formidable Sailor Guardians controlled by Sailor Galaxia, they reach Galaxia's castle. It is here they are greeted by their allies, now under Galaxia's command. Sensing a new player from the future, Galaxia does not hesitate in trying to steal Chibiusa's Star Seed. However she senses what was once a great darkness in the tiny princess's heart and once her Pink Silver Crystal is stolen, Chibiusa is granted new powers and rises once more as Black Lady.
