I know Jack and Maddie's relationship in canon is probably MEANT to be seen--depending on the episode--as a pretty bog-standard, 2000s-era "idiot big dad and exasperated, smart wife who puts up with him" trope.
BUT
my personal favorite interpretation is that BOTH are equally genius engineers who are also equally on the autistic spectrum, with a specific hyperfixation on ghosts and mad science.
The main difference is that Maddie has siblings and female social expectations, so she had to learn how to mask in ways that are seen as sociable and polite and attractive and "smart." When she does bumble major social cues (such as not recognizing Vlad's flirting until Danny points it out decades later, or humiliating her kids by showing up in a hazmat suit at school), it feels more "socially acceptable" from her.
She genuinely loves Jack because he could not care less about her being Feminine or Socially Acceptable. He just wants to shout with her about ghosts! So the nanosecond she's around him she can yank the mask off and go chasing spirits with a toaster turned into a machine gun.

Hello! Could I request a platonic Kel, Aubrey, Sunny and Basil headcanon of reader who is a older sister figure, as the reader is the oldest between Aubrey, Sunny, Kel and Basil, so the reader looks after them whenever Mari and Hero aren't around. Thank you!!
older sibling figure to KEL, AUBREY, SUNNY, and BASIL
A/N: hello!! i did more of a G/N version so it's more broad. i hope you don't mind :D
Tumblr media
KEL and AUBREY are always trying to get on your good side so you'll agree with them more
like, if you need help moving something, they both rush to help you and give each other dirty looks and start bickering (you ended up having SUNNY and BASIL help you..)
AUBREY always tells you about her day whenever MARI isn't around to listen. she'll start ranting about how annoying KEL is while you're brushing her hair
"and then he was like, 'no, HERO! i didn't do anything! it was all AUBREY!' grr! can you believe that?! and HERO watched him do it too!!!"
she's very glad to have you around as a older sibling figure. you never seem to judge her awkward social skills, and you're one of the few to entertain her girly interests.. even if you don't find much interest in them.
she forces you to play barbies with her btw.
SUNNY loves drawing himself and his friends, but he gets a little nervous when it comes to showing them the drawings. BASIL will be behind him as emotional support as he shoves a drawing of you in your face
he struggles a bit with communicating. he's very thankful to have always had you as someone to talk to. he loves MARI dearly, but he doesn't know how to confront her about how stressful the violin is for him
so you two have sort of a communication system? whenever he's non-verbal, you use a series of hand symbols and facial expressions to communicate. he understands it perfectly and is very glad you don't force him to talk
sometimes, KEL is a little scared of getting close to you because he thinks you prefer AUBREY and the others. but when you're the only one listening to him rant about his day with a smile on your face, he's like omg you're cool
from then on, he's always asking you to play catch with him or play basketball. of course, you always beat him because of your height advantage.
(KEL is quite the sore loser... you have to buy him ice cream every time you beat him.)
always begs you to help him with his homework... you usually end up doing the entire work sheet for him. he gets distracted quite easily.
you've found that BASIL seems to be the most mature out of the four. of course, you don't love the others any less... but you do admit, it's quite calming to garden with him after a long day.
he nervously asks you for art advice, and asks you to confirm his answers on his homework. you've noticed that he's definitely a smart kid, but he doubts himself too much.
as a result, you often reward him with something like a popsicle or even ice cream when he gets a good score on a quiz. although, if you give one of them something, you're well aware that the others have to have it too.
so, KEL, AUBREY, and SUNNY are always cheering BASIL on when he's studying so he gets a good grade and they can all get a treat. (ahem... you're a bit ashamed to say that there may have been a few incidences where they cheated for that sole reason only.)
they're quite a unique bunch, to say the least. but, they're family. a family that you wouldn't trade for the world.

Persona 5: Phantom Cat Pt2
Here we go with Part 2 of the Phantom Cat AU. I'll be covering the Confidants, plot changes, but also the potential of Poppy Playtime being more involved. Let's get started.
If I can sum up the Phantom Thieves' relationship with Joker in one word, it'll be protective. Even the Personas especially Arsène are no different. Ren does admit to once being human but everyone doesn't learn about his tragic backstory until after Okumura's Palace.
You can bet their ass they were disgusted upon finding out Playtime Co's inhumane experiments. It isn't uncommon for Ren to find one or more of his companions lay against him when he loafs around like a giant cat. Something the Thieves' Den makes easier as Leblanc's attic is not that spacious.
Morgana sympathizes with Ren the most. Both of them aren't human and won't be accepted by the outside world for it. Ren was lucky to find someone who raised him with kindness than just free the young man from a terrible fate. They're feline brothers, your honor.
Ryuji, Yusuke and Haru are three flavors of food friends. The former track star sneaking out for a daily run with Ren alongside the occasional ramen or snack food chow downs. His zoomies become manageable thanks to Ryuji. (Sojiro is still reeling from a hyper Ren pouncing on him.)
Yusuke enthusiastically introduces the living toy to the art world since he cannot visit a museum like a normal patron. Ren sometimes find himself being a muse for some of his paintings and usually portrayed as a peculiar enigma. The two always chow down on curry afterwards.
Gardening with Haru anyone? Ren always feel bad about how much money his new family have to spend just to keep him fed. (Futaba had a limit put on credit theft by Sojiro as he doesn't want both his kids to rely on illegal crime to survive.) Something Haru can understand since she has similar issues. The two bond over coffee together.
Emotional support Ann is a definite. The two constantly talk about facing their issues and ways to strengthen their heart. Ren is always happy to lend a ear whenever Ann has problems in her model career or updates about her friend Shiho's recovery. She gives good advice when the giant toy needs help getting Futaba used to the outside world.
Makoto is the socially awkward training partner. Both Ren and her don't have much experience with people outside their friend group so neither know what can be considered normal. The two hammer out each other's issues whenever possible or just vibe together.
All of the Persona in the group do their best to make Ren feel normal every time the group is together thus shenanigans are guaranteed. Carmen and Milady are the wine aunts who endorse the chaos. Necronomicon is his 2nd fellow prankster partner(Futaba is 1st).
Zorro, Johanna and Goemon being the only responsible adults most of the time. Captain Kidd is a sheer chaotic neutral as no one knows whether he'll start something or remain level headed. Finally we get to Arsène.
The poor pigeon hasn't been in this particular element before. Nonhuman Persona Users are a thing so it ain't that. Ren's heart can be considered a massive mess. Whatever was done to make him a living toy, it left something vile behind. Yet Ren continues to defy fate even with the leech latched onto his soul.
Thus Arsène can be a bit more aggressive when it comes to Ren's health. Always near the surface of his partner's subconscious whether to offer soothing words or protect him if needed. In the Thieves' Den, Arsène is usually found snuggled next to Ren with a cover around his knife heels.
Now most of Joker's Confidants are people he has to sought out. A more complicated affair due to not being human. There is actually one more Confidant he has mostly maxxed out and knows about his status: Tae Takami of the Death Arcana. (Yes I absolutely complete the whole thing early just to unlock Alice.)
Sojiro was concerned about Ren's health as they had no clue if or when health complications will occur. Thus it led to Tae becoming his secret doctor as she not only the closest but is trusted amongst the community for her skills. It was a very interesting conversation to say the least.
Now Ren is quite crafty when it comes to establishing his other bonds. Until he could shift into a more human size, Futaba prepared a special plushie with a built in-camera that he can talk through. The excuse being Ren is an hospital patient undergoing recovery after serious health complications and this toy helps him interact with the outside world.
Now onto plot changes, the deadlines alongside their consequences for failure remain the same. It's just not for the first two Palaces. Ren is still captured and put in the Interrogation section. Although it took the traitor attacking from the shadows to injure him enough for police to subdue the Bigger Body.
He's far more beat up, chained and has a specialized muzzle since Ren is a giant chloroform breathing cat toy monster. Can't forget the possibile dissection if he can't escape his fate. The plot for the Third Semester dances around the chance to be human again in his face. Ren doesn't take it of course.
For Scramble, he casually chills in everyone's bags and pull the special patient card to converse with others. Ren can still cook as it's a calming hobby for him alongside gardening. Plus the sight of a giant CatNap in an apron cooking was too hard to resist.
Also yes, I am in the 'Adopt Sophia' group cause she's precious. Especially when Ryuji got to say fuck just to defend her. Sophia definitely calls Ren 'kitty' but he really doesn't mind unlike Morgana. Yes, they do snuggle in the Thieves Den as no one shall avoid the cuddle pile.
Awkward dad Zenkichi anyone? Man absolutely flipped upon seeing Ren as he thought the whole report about 'Phantom Cat Joker' being a giant purple monster was a joke. Nope and you shall get your tired ass dragged into cuddles cause Ren smells stress.
The Persona also get more involved in the shenanigans too. Only Ren's confidants or those who delve into the Metaverse long enough can see much less interact with them. Best to keep Captain Kidd away from fireworks though. (There are special cases but that's for later.)
Before you ask, yes, Joker's main Showtime special is different. Instead of just blasting Shadows with Eiha, Ren breathes out chloroform smokescreen and bursts forth alongside Arséne to come down on their targets like a predator. The attack retains the Curse element but does Physical damage too. A Two in One type combo.
Tactica's plot remains the same however every target views Ren with disgust. All saying there is an 'chimeric abomination' latched onto his heart. The enemies also target him more than Erina and the other thieves.
Speaking of her, she does think Ren is a cat who again doesn't really mind much. Toshiro absolutely freaks out and takes awhile to get used to him. Gameplay wise, Ren is mostly the same except he has more movement options to fit his feline Bigger Body.
Pouncing on further away enemies, inflict Sleep status in large groups, and his Phantom Judge special turns into Phantom Roar. An attack where Ren breathes out a massive cloud of chloroform for Arséne to convert into a Eiha powered explosion. Not only does it do massive damage but also has a high chance of inflicting Sleep status on targets.
Finally we move onto Poppy Playtime. If you guys were paying close attention, then the signs should be obvious. Something is connected to Ren and his past holds the answers. Thus the Phantom Thieves of Hearts visit the Playtime Co Factory to see if they can help their friend. He had been experiencing vivid nightmares which all link to this place.
Now the factory isn't the same like in the game. For unknown reasons, the place has become a pseudo-Mementos linked to the collective consciousness of the various souls who linger inside. Thus the factory has potential to shift anyone in the affected areas in or out the Metaverse side without warning.
A chance of Shadow attacks are not only high but there is a possibility that something even deadlier lurks inside. There are occasions where it is required to travel through this dangerous 'Labyrinth' to progress deeper. (Can't have them blazing through the place.)
Everyone split into two groups so they can cover more ground. Group 1: Ren, Yusuke, Ann, Makoto; and Group 2: Morgana, Haru, Ryuji, Futaba. They'll be encountering characters who not only appear in Poppy Playtime but also Project Playtime. Player character is there too so the Phantom Thieves will meet them.
Guaranteed canon divergence as some of the Poppy Playtime cast might not even encounter the game protagonist. The Phantom Thieves won't ignore someone in need *looks at one particular character* and don't kill their targets. For them, living with guilt for one own sins is a fate worse than death.
New players have entered the game that neither groups could ever foreseen. Can the Phantom Thieves of Hearts solve the mystery and shut down this the factory's immense distortion? Only the phantom cat will determine victory or defeat.

sometimes when i see how a lot of people interpret susie being a girlboss & still a big bad, i worry that my own interpretations may be a bit too out of character, so here's my interpretation!
i want to make her conflicted, feel constantly ostracized, naive, overly defensive, anxiety ridden, lack an understanding of modern social cues, have a witty sort of awkwardness, & waste literal days doing heavy research on how to make friends only to later realize that said research was wildly incorrect & unnecessary to a humorous degree
she's definitely intelligent, but getting 100s on all of your exams doesn't exactly equate to being the most street smart, i'd say she's the equivalent of an overly sheltered stem kid, perhaps even a madonna of some sorts - work is the only thing & friend she knows
even if she's lived in a pseudo hell for what i imagine was a majority of her life, despite the largely popular idea that she fought back with the hopes to just live another day, what if she instead hid like a coward the entire time & ate whatever scraps she could find after the persecutors finally left? after all, she didn't come back home with many physical scars, if any at all
& despite being disgustingly rich, her wealth is just a shield - classism as a form of confidence she aggressively douses herself in like gasoline to hide all of the mental trauma she's obtained over the past years, shown through an immature mindset of how wealth is spent: ugly items she purchases because it has easily recognizable luxury branding displayed all across it, stupidly big gold diamond jewelry you'll never see her wear because it goes against work policy, & expensive food & drink that is specifically popular on social media platforms when it barely fills her nor really fit her tastes
yet, she manages to hide this all, gatekeeping her true emotions with a ridiculously arrogant, nefarious crackle she's been taught through multiple encounters with others will basically guarantee her a 100% chance of escaping her current situation, fancy yet crude teases & remarks built from words she doesn't understand the true impact of, & a simple venomous smile. she's on the verge of breaking, but you wouldn't even know it.
everything about her is running away. hiding. fearing. cowering. crying. begging. rinse & repeat.
she's a liar to herself & everyone around her-- & she knows it.
she's definitely still morally ambiguous, don't get me wrong - good, heartfelt, maybe even heroic intentions, disgustingly horrible & overly grandiose ways of carrying them out, but no matter what, she's still a coward at the end of the day
she's a young girl stuck in an adult woman's body - forever stuck in the past yet forced to live in the present
she's no black swan. she's the purest, most innocent, white swan you've ever laid your eyes on. & if you've seen the swan lake, you know how it ends - a tragedy.
maybe someday she'll gain the confidence she needs to get over her fears, but for now, she's nothing but a coward that desperately clings onto her wealth as if it were a white knight in shining armor. maybe that's why a lot of people like to headcanon that she has a massive crush on meta knight. but hey, i'm guilty of that too.
anyways she's still best girl of 2024-beyond because i have a thing for villainesses, please don't ask me further about that part... ^^;
tl;dr: my headcanon for susie is not very girlboss but instead a wimpy rich chick, & i REVEL in that.

need to see your hc scarlett if ur willing
all most a month later answering this but anywayy :o
Scarlett headcanons!
Scarlett lives in butt middle of nowhere town.
hence, why she has a country accent sometimes but usually masks it
Her mom runs a diner.
Her family doesn't have much money.
Scarlett can't relate to kids her age, but she doesn't care much about it because she deems them too unintelligent to comprehend her.
Scarlett's little brother tends to annoy her, most of the times she uses him as a test dummy for her new technology experiment.
Scarlett had skip a couple of grades and is on her way to graduating.
She had one last science project and this one was going to be looked at by colleges but unfortunately for Scarlett, her brother messed with the project and ruined her chances.
Now everyone is school mocking how she isn't the smartest in the school and even her mother no helping the issue saying "stop bullying your brother! you shouldn't blame your brother for your shortcomings." No one understand her, not her peers, not the town, and definitely not her mother. (Yes, i mashup of the stanly twins backstory and meet the Robertson.)
Now with her last couple of threads of sanity she decided to go on total drama for the clear open opportunity for the million, and to have an new experience that now college can deny. The effect that TD and all reality tv had on the youth's mental health.
but of course she couldn't blow her cover because then it would disqualify her research. (anyway, enough of the background info)
She is like Azula from ATLA, cold and calculated.
Interestingly enough the difference between Mal and Scarlett methods are how Scarlett never care to get close to people, not even for deceiving them. While Mal knew the importance for the psychology and emotional state of the other contestants, allowing him to get further.
If Scarlett were to ever meet Izzy they would be in a psychological showdown like Goliad and Stormo from adventure time.
Scarlett would hate watch rick and morty till accidentally starts liking it.
She's the one nerd that no one mess with.
Treating you like a lab rat is her love language. (run)
She lives in the library, probably has a book fort with comfy pillows inside.
Scarlett probably doesn't know or care about personally space unless it's her own.
Despise the fact her name is literally red, her favorite color is green.
Tumblr media
srry if it feels like there isn't much with interactions, I just can't imagine her socializing much.

For the character ask, Apple? :))
YEAAAAH WOOHOOO APPLE TIME YAAAAY YIPPEEEE :D
Tumblr media
read more cuz this ask got long lol
Sexuality Headcanon: besides the obvious Lesbianism, she's also very much Aromantic. apple always struck to me as someone who never really thought about romance/relationships as an option for her, nor did she really Get the idea of what it is (given her lack of social context, not understanding her own emotions, misreading others' intentions, need for attention, and alienation). with an already existing complicated stew of how you perceieve the word and how it treats you back, you're bound to not feel in the same way as alloromantics do (coming from my own experience). she values just about anyone not hating her, maybe even liking her (in her definition "they don't think i'm annoying! wow!"). she's a very lonely girl that really just wants others or even just one person to give her any form of attention to not prove she's a nuisance, and that she's not a bad person. apple is, also very gay, it's very funny to me :) her attraction to women is never really questioned by herself as much as gender is (which isn't a lot either), but she is also quite easily smittened by a Very Pretty Girl walking by her or Rarity MLP. tldr; apple inanimate insanity is not immune to a very pretty/hot girl talking to her in interest for more than 5 minutes (marshmallow) Gender Headcanon: bottom line, she's a trans girl that doesn't really think too much about her gender or anything, but she knows well what her situation is. i think as a kid, she never had the whole "i wish i were a girl/why am i a boy" conflict, but rather just saw herself as just herself. actually i remember briefly talking about this to my partner a while back in dms, here's a screenshot of what i would've typed up lol:
Tumblr media
not to mention, her being a very online person allowed her freedom in expressing herself in the way she knew herself as. apple has full awareness of how she’s perceived by others, and the treatment she gets from it at times. i think the older she got, the more she started to somewhat internalize it and turn it into a form of self hate, so she just dealt with that perception (as much as she hated it). online however, was a different case. she was able to be more open about herself, have her ponysona be a girl, play as a girl on webgames, have herself be known as a girl because that’s what the truth was to her. when it comes to transitioning and all that, it could go two ways depending on object or human. if an object, it’d be more comedic in that upon applying for inanimate insanity with the gender question, she just continued to roll with being a girl and thought “yeah... YEAH! i AM a girl!” if human, during one of her occasaional stews of “why am i weird”, she’d probably search that up on google dot com, and somehow end up on a forum or page about being transgender. with that it all just clicks to her “wait, that’s an actual thing? i can just, BE one?” such case would alleviate her self negative view about her gender because not only is she not weird or the only one that feels that way, but she’s actually right about her being a girl! apple isn’t so much hung up on the specifics and terms and labels all that much, nor has transitioning ever been on her mind, gender has always been as nonsensical and confusing as romance anyways. what mattered was that she isn’t Weird nor Alone on it, she’s simply a girl named apple :) A ship I have with said character: MARSHPLE... ah man where do i begin with them. as much as i enjoy the lovey dovey mushy gushyness of their romantic ventures, what i enjoy the most is their persons and how fitting they are for the other as they’re both so so unwell <3 it’s just so, fitting for the two yknow? they fill what the other lacks in, they’re both some of the most hurt individuals in inanimate insanity, they falter and wilt and grow and heal together, man they just have it all <3 and speaking on the apple side of this, it’s just. super interesting and at times touching? with how it is on her end. i adore the unhealthy aspects of marshple and it’s timeline, and how it’s connected to the unwellness of them two, especially apple. like, this girl is so full of symptpms and the way they’re displayed immensely in the marshple timeline? impeccable. i hate when others make marshple to be apple’s only defining trait, but you can’t deny that marshple is essential to apple’s character as it explores so much about her. as you see apple go through the motions of emotional dysregulation and attachment and fears and anxiety and self hate and so much more, you come to realize how apple is this sad lonely girl that just wants someone to not only give her attention and patience, but to not leave her for once. marshmallow provides that and more. she was probably the first to have given her more than what apple was used to (which mightve confused her a bit), not only have willingly spent time with her, but as we know from canon, is patient and tries her best to understand her for the better of them two. and it is not a two way street at all, there’s so much apple provides for marsh out of genuine care and love for her. idk. marshple is just great and i could go on about them and apple’s character in regards to it but this is way too long already </3 A BROTP I have with said character: HUGE enjoyer of dough and apple <3 to me, they sorta fulfil this “older sibling” role for the other in some way, and it makes sense given who they are and what you could headcanon about their own familial life. i’ll be going more onto the apple side of their relationship and save for dough’s side for another post since this is an apple centric ask like i said, apple fills in a sibling role for dough, and she does so out of the fact she subconsciously sees herself in him and cares for those who aren’t at least bad to her. everyone at the mansion has their fair share of emotional problems and something dough and apple share is feeling left out of things/alienated for being weirdos. i’d often think about this tweet during the Bow Twitter Event of 2017:
Tumblr media
there’s just something sweet and trustworthy in vulnerability about dough confiding in apple about his personal feelings with his sibling quarrel with bow, and apple being the sorta middleman for them two. not only does she listen and console, she goes out of her way to tend to dough’s issues. she deeply loves and cares for her purgatory family, and only wants them all to be happy! sure, there’s that hint of her being a people pleaser and attempts to keep others happy while ignoring her needs, but at the end of the day she would probably jump in front of an oncoming truck just to save dough (even though he’s dead already). in turn, while not going too in depth with him, dough does provide back some missing needs apple has left out on. again, they’re both weirdos with a creeping sense of alienation, and dough to put it simply, is no stranger to being aware of this (unlike apple). for sure, he’d try his best to include her in on some stuff and help her and himself feel less alone :) also another brief thing about them: apple and dough are THE animal caretakers of the mansion’s minifarm when apple starts bringing in random farm animals. they’re also both internet forum users and have their fair share of interests (oldhead dad rock music for instance) and it’d be funny if dough were a closet mlp fan who once apple starts being talkative about mlp, he’ll go to her and the two would just become these like mlp buddies doing whatever :) A NOTP I have with said character: any guy honestly </3 #lesbianappleftw A Random Headcanon: apple would SO love the mario galaxy series. she's not a gamer by any means, i think she'd suck at it, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying the space-y themes and music :^) given apple probably grew up in the countryside far from the city, she already has full exposure to the bright night sky and all it's beauty. not to mention, i think given how often she'd feel alienated and "weird" from others around her, i think she'd find solace in space. like a sorta far away home she's connected to because she doesn't fit in with the rest here. this is brought up even more during her stay at idiotic island, where once again she's met with lonliness and the stars in the night sky. apple had no one there, only the thoughts that would challenge her already low self esteem, so of course she'd find even more comfort knowing the stars and planets and comets and beyond looked down from up above and watched over her. it's become a sorta personal thing to her in that if she's out and looking up at the sky, she'd probably be lost in thought but at some form of ease and belonging for once. apple is pretty competitive, so she will game for a good bit (and be bad at it), but her main takeaway from mario galaxy is the overall comforting atmosphere it provides to her. she’ll mainly roam around the comet observatory, starship mario, or miscellanious worlds with the music on up and sorta take in the tranquility of feeling at home. not to mention, her softie lil heart would be very taken by rosalina and luma’s story (and smittened by rosalina because ahhh pretty lady) General Opinion over said character: she’s ok i guess

Reading through your au pair stuff and you sound very harsh towards the girl, acusing her of gaslighting you and making your life so miserable that you need to get out immediately. Four years ago she was still losing her baby teeth. She’s a kid. Think about it from her perspective. First, she’s fourteen-which is miserable no matter what the situation. Fourteen year olds are just like that. Second, she probably feels like you’re being forced on her- you said it’s your job to befriend and look after the kids? She probably feels like that’s all entirely fake and doesn’t want friendship if it’s an obligation on your part. Your friendship feels like a lie to her, most likely. Third, are you essentially a stranger in their house? Like, did you know her before or does the family make their kids live with random ass people they host? That’s a HUGE source of stress for kids, especially young teens. I don’t doubt that she can be bitchy but also, this cannot be an easy situation for her to deal with. And she’s dealing with it using an undeveloped brain that still struggles to make the right decisions socially.
It absolutely is a stressful situation for her too, no doubt. She told me so more than once herself and I feel bad for her in this aspect. In many situations I would've reacted the same as she does right now. I know she is a kid (she's 11 btw not 14) and I know having a stranger in your house whose friendship seems forced on you is not nice.
It's not her fault her parents keep dragging strangers in.
It however doesn't excuse her being rude and mean to the people around her. She treats her other family like this too. Everyone around her keeps saying that her being rude and aggressive... it's her character. She's always been like that and only sometimes is not.
I am harsh, oh I definitely am harsh on her (on tumblr). Because this has been going on for months without change. I've been patient with her because I am fully aware she is a kid and she is in a tough age and I can understand many of the situations she got mad at me and for many of those I do listen to her and do apologize. I still treat her with kindness and respect, despite how tired and mad I am at her for other things, because I don't just want to give her up.
I draw the line at trying to convince me I am in the wrong for doing my job (which also includes telling the parents about her behavior etc.) by just making stuff up out of nowhere and at blaming me for all fights she has with her parents. I have been enduring it because I thought she is young, she is just a kid, she'll grow. But I have reached my limit. My posts here regarding my situation with her are filled with a lot of emotion and bias since I write and post them shortly after the situation happened and so they sound and are harsh. Is it right of me? Perhaps not.
I don't want to claim myself to be a good au pair - I'm far off from that by own fault of mine.
I don't want to claim I have been flawless these 5 months. I am fully aware the things that are required of me can become annoying and are sometimes even things I wouldn't do on other people. I am fully aware this girl is probably just so tired of having au pairs around and just wants to be alone.
Nothing you said in the ask is wrong and I am totally with you there. I'm not searching for trouble or a fight. Not in the host family, not with anyone else.
You can think of all this and of me as you want. At this point I am just too tired caring about what other people think or have to say. Be it family, friends or strangers on the internet.

Mediaposting 2023, #12: Succession Season 2
Tumblr media
i think I like season 2 Overall less than I do with season 1, but when the episodes are bangers (6, 7, 9, 10) they are fucking BANGERS.
i also have literally no idea where season 3 and 4 are gonna go. like other than the one spoiler I know about s4 [which I'm not really surprised happened at this point] and the fact that kendall gets a shaved head eventually....NO idea what happens. at all. other than the repercussions that I'm sure happen after ep 10 lol
more spoilery thoughts under the cut (though tbh they're more about what I think is gonna happen next season)
-I knew about the "can't make a tomlette without breaking a few greggs" line. vaguely. what I did NOT know was that the line was said in THE SENATE
-honestly just so many good tom and greg moments. "we here for you" is still so fucking funny. the water bottle thing. Tom complimenting greg on his blackmailing skills. it's all so toxic and so so good
-speaking of Tom. "i wonder if the sad I'd be without you is bigger than the sad i am with you" is such an augh line and it's phrased in such a tom way. divorce arc so real
-shiv was so real for letting rhea be ceo and then immediately leaving bc of the cruises stuff. she girlbossed too close to the sun in episode 6 but then girlbossed her way back down to earth too
-i REALLY want to see if Roman actually gets therapy or if they just let him suffer like they did w kendall only getting two days of rehab. im also feeling like he might get more attention next season since shiv was more focused on during s2, when kendall was most important for s1, so maybe each season is more focused on one particular character?
-it's also fascinating to me that even though Roman is clearly the comedic relief sibling...he's smarter than he looks. he couches it in a lot of acting like he doesn't know anything - and he doesn't a lot of the time, lol at him buying the wrong soccer team - but like...the piece of episode 10 where he doesn't think the buyout will work? and in a way where his dad won't really get mad at him for it? he's kind of incredible at socially engineering people, in the way that youngest siblings often are. i don't think he'll ever lead the company but he could definitely be a way bigger player next season
-i know the entire point of kendall is that he's incredibly inscrutable and hard to figure out and like, a+ to jeremys acting on this, but he is even more inscrutable than usual this season. which felt weird after season 1 where he was definitely complicated but at least I could understand what the fuck was going on with him. now I'm a little ???? about it. i guess that's what happens when he's more of a background player this season though
-...but the divide between ep 9 and ep 10 kendall is both wild and totally expected. constantly going between defending his dad and treating him like a God and then saying he's a horrible person? on point. 10/10 no notes
-also I didn't really start paying attention to this until near the end of the season but the way that people have conversations in terms of the physical space between them is so important. it stood out to me with Logan and his kids. with Roman and Logan they sit apart but not distant, like business partners. logan and shiv? at first they had business partner spacing, then they had family member spacing. logan and kendall? circling each other like fucking sharks until the very end where kendall kisses his dad on the cheek right before betraying him. God. peak
-(SPEAKING OF THAT. THE PHYSICAL DISTANCE BETWEEN SHIV AND TOM DURING THE THREESOME CONVERSATION USED TO SHOW THE EMOTIONAL DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM. CHEFS KISS)
-ending the season on a boat was perfect after the season ends up being about the cruises drama. so perfect. i know it has the metaphor of pushing someone overboard too but (gestures) Boats
-i feel like I need to rewatch this season specifically when everything ends because a lot of the episodes felt....not pointless, totally, but more filler-y than season 1? like I really don't even remember what happened for most of the season outside of a few specific moments and I literally just watched it. idk. i mean the same is kind of true for season 1 but season 1 felt like it had more defined mini-arcs and I can remember more of what happened in that way
-i could write a whole thing on the pierces bc I think that was the most compelling part of the season outside of eps 9 and 10 but. ill spare you the details
-i like how by the end of the season greg is totally unimpressed by the size of the boat. luxury corruption arc
-tom and greg are absolutely having a screaming match next season about having the documents even after burning them and i cannot fucking WAIT

Hi! Could I get a Tokyo revengers and BSD matchup
Personality: she/her, gemini INTJ 3w4. I tend to act very arrogant and cocky as a defense mechanism. I don't like being vulnerable with people because it's not their job to worry about my problems. I come across very calm and collected and people rely on me for advice but can't let myself depend on anyone. I'm really analytical and am good at finding loopholes and working around problems under pressure. I'm not good with emotional support and can come across a little cold because of that. Under everything I think I'm very kind and feel like I burden people with my presence a lot of times. I'm a very eye for an eye person and the way I treat people entirely depends on how they treat me. I can either be really sweet or do horrible things if they deserve it. I'm not that expressive (outwardly at least because I'm actually really emotional I just hide it well) and have a hard time relaxing or enjoying things because I've been conditioned to always consider how it will look on mine and my family's reputation. I'm a perfectionist and hold myself to very high standards. I look intimidating but I'm actually just socially awkward and suck at small talk (because it seems kind of pointless to me). I also have a short temper but there's only certain specific people that can get me to actually lose my patience and explode. I don't cry or break down in front of people and people usually think I'm perfectly fine. My love language is giving gifts and acts of service but I’m not sure what my love language is to receive.
Hobbies/Likes: I love fashion and I've been a model since I was 14, I used to do pageants as a kid, I make my own music and music is probably the thing I love the most. It's really what I use to process the world so music is definitely the way to my heart. I can't play any instruments but I can sing and do digital music production. (I've always wanted to be in a rock band) I'm a good artist but I don't like doing it on a deadline (I took an AP art class back in high school and didn't draw for 2 years after it cuz I hated being forced to draw. It's like when something you like becomes a chore) I've gotten back into drawing recently tho. I've also been doing martial arts since I was 7 + fencing. I'm good at chess and poker and made money from playing/betting on games when I was younger. I also love reading.
Matchup #7
Hello thank you so much for the ask! I apologize heavily for the wait and I hope you enjoy it!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
Your matchups are…(insert aggressive drumroll)
Baji Keisuke
Tumblr media
He likes your arrogance it tests his own pride at moments. Once the idiot learns it’s a defense mechanism he’s even more interested in you. Baji is more focused on his own problems plus he understands wanting to deal with your own issues. Baji doesn't lean on you so he doesn't mind if you don’t lean on him. Baji wouldn’t want to overwhelm you with advice so he asks you like once every week stupid questions. Baji gets in trouble so frequently that your loopholes would be such a relief on his part. Baji wouldn’t really require emotional support like other people would so he wouldn’t need you to support him emotion-wise. Baji can honestly see through your act but he understands the point of it. Bajis presence is more of a burden than yours, to be honest… Baji wants someone that is all kind 24/7 it annoys him sometimes. Baji is really good at taking your mind off things, to be honest. Baji would praise you so much because. Of how perfectly you complete everything, you will never find a prouder man. He will always let out a chuckle at how socially awkward you are. You are the one person Baji is slightly intimidated by so he’ll definitely settle down around you. He would be in shock that you ever gave him anything.
Baji would love to watch you as a model! He finds it so fascinating. Baji would be both your biggest fan and your biggest critic. He would also love to listen to your musical creations! Baji would literally love to be in a rock band with you. He would be so impressed that you can draw something better than stick figures. I don’t think Baji knows what a deadline is... Baji would love to battle you in martial arts and he would also attend your fencing practices! Be prepared to get a lot of money from Baji because of how bad he is at betting.
Chūya Nakahara
Tumblr media
Chūya had a little bit of an ego but he’s around Dazai the man with an ego bigger than his heart. Trust me Chūya would be more surprised if you were vulnerable around him than if you weren’t. To Chūya, your calm front is like a sip of cold water in 200* weather. Chūya is stubborn so he’ll refuse to ask for help. Finding loops and holes is very important to people in the Port mafia in case they get in a little too much trouble… Chūya doesn’t expect you to offer a shoulder to lean on. He wants to be strong enough to deal with his own problems. Chūya thinks you are quite the opposite of cold I mean he’s around mafia minions all day that has a stomach face no matter what you say to them… Chūya will make it very obvious that he prefers your presence over many others. Chūya is honestly so gentle and quiet around you if he irritated you I would be surprised. Chūya puts off this very professional vibe when he’s not on Port mafia duty or around Dazai. Chūya is also quite the perfectionist as well, he isn’t done with a mission until everything is wrapped up well. Chūya also has quite a short stick but he can definitely control around more calm people.
Chūya is already quite wealthy but he doesn’t buy things for himself your gifts mean so much to him no matter how small. Chūya would enjoy every act of service done for him so much he would love to return them. As you can see Chūya is a man of great fashion. Chūya would listen to your music every minute he can. Please start a band with Chūya he would devote himself to it. He would be impressed with your art but he soundly asks for any works from you. Chūya loves to make petty bets.

OK BASICALLY. Amaya's personality
Amaya is a timid and shy person, but tends to come off as very intense thanks to her passion for her very bizarre and often morbid interests. She has a strong fascination with history and a love for keeping track of historical things, believing that keeping records of the past and present for the sake of the present and future is one of the most important things you can do. She's passionate and strong-willed, but tends to second guess herself often. She is very confident in her moral code and intelligence, and relies on those to guide her, but she's extremely unsure of herself otherwise, and when those can't guide her, she relies on pleasing others to get by, trying to find meaning in making people like her. When she gets attached to people, she gets very attached, and has a tendency to drive others away thanks to her social anxiety and strong need for connection.
She's a very fearful person, but not quite in the traditional sense. She isn't really avoidant, rather she indulges in and tries to process her fear through understanding things so that it doesn't define her. She always wants to make things better, find the right way through everything, work through stuff factually, and she's very, very firm about this. It's very hard to change her mind. She's also very emotional, quick to anger, fear, and she cries a lot, which she finds extremely embarrassing because she knows people look down on her as immature for it, and she tries very, very hard to be mature and intelligent.
She very strongly believes that no one really wants her around at any given time, and that because she has to take up people's time, she owes it to them to look after them, to take care of them, because she thinks that that's her job. To use her knowledge to look out for people. When things go south, she always ends up telling herself it's her own fault. Her belief that she is doing things right is easily swayed when she feels helpless, or when she can't approach a situation perfectly, because the next best choice always has to sacrifice something.
As a child, Amaya was very volatile- she was scared basically all the time, got extremely emotional, and cried a lot. She had very few friends thanks to her demeanor, which ultimately her family worsened because her grandfather didn't believe that her mother should comfort her because it would be "giving her false hope" that things would be okay when she couldn't prove it. Most of her life, Amaya has not felt stable or secure, and she spends a lot of her time at home, holed up in her room, watching anime and trying to keep herself from giving any merit to her intrusive thoughts about the most horrible things that could happen to her and her family at any moment.
At school, she's a bit of a teacher's pet- a smart kid who doesn't get involved in social stuff, and keeps her grades at least decent. History teachers usually don't like her much because she knows more than them, but she gets good grades in their classes, so that's all that matters. She has very few friends, and her family is very protective of her, so she's never done anything really "bad-" went through all of high school never drinking, never smoking, doing any drugs, going to any parties. It definitely is also part of the reason that she's seen as immature by her peers, but it's also not like she ever gets invited anywhere, so
Don't know if I should say I relate out of fear of concerning you (not anymore than I already probably do-)

I have something to say.
And some people might not like it but whatever. I was scrolling through Pinterest and found this.
Tumblr media
Here's the article link if you want to read it.
It's true. They're right. We need a break.
For context: I'm a middle schooler in her early teens, American. Public school my entire life. LGBTQIA+; Anxiety; ADHD; Social Anxiety; and a very bad understanding of social cues sometimes. I'm 2e (Or 'Twice-Exceptional), meaning I'm academically gifted but also have what qualifies as a learning disorder (ADHD). I'm a nerd and don't fit society's definition of normal.
When I was in kindergarten I loved it. Patterns? Easy. Red, Blue, Red, Blue. Writing letters? Sure my handwriting sucked but I understood it. Making clay snowmen in Art class? Fun as hell. Library? The best thing ever. Teacher? She was incredible. Other kids? Yeah, I was social. Foreign concept to me now but I was friends with almost everyone.
But you know what I miss the most?
Naptime.
An hour or so after lunch where you could sit on the floor, with a blanket, and relax. I never actually slept but gods, I got scolded so many times for whispering with the person next to me. I didn't get stressed then. I loved school back then.
First grade? I had mixed feelings. Lot of issues from then.
Second? Enh. Okay- Ish.
Third? If I hadn't had the teacher I had I would not be as okay as I am now.
In 3rd me and my parents looked at a private school. All girls, the entry test thing was amazing. I went there for a visit and there were people skipping- SKIPPING!- because they were happy with their education. But it was an hour away from us and we needed financial assistance. If it had been one or the other I would have gone there in a heartbeat. I loved it.
Fourth? PSSAs are hell, my best friend is on the other side of the school district in a different elementary school because her parents divorced, and I'm stuck with her cousin that doesn't really like me (The feeling was mutual), so I spend the entire year alone because I only ever had two friends. I also had two 15 minitue recesses and that was barely enough to keep me sane but at the same time too much time that made my loneliness even more visible.
Fifth? Ten minutes of break the entire day. Lunch was 30 minutes. The wait in the lunch line was between 5-15 (ish) minutes. My family thinks I eat too fast. I don't. Not for that. I don't have many memories of that year. I repressed them because I was bullied horribly the entire year. It's the first and only time I've ever cried in school. That summer was the last time I cried. I haven't cried in two years. I've repressed the memories to the point that I don't know if it was actually me doing the bullying or if it was her. That's how messed up my brain is. My few memories say it was her bullying me but I don't know. I really don't.
Jean? And her cousin? I didn't really fit with them anymore, but I stayed with them because I had no one else. I should have left. Made friends with Scott or someone else who understood me slightly. yes, I had my parents, but I just never told them because they were already so stressed about other shit. I didn't tell any teachers; they didn't know until it ended in a shouting match in the very beginning of my (tail end of her's) math class. I think my ELA teacher knew though. Or suspected, at least. He never gave me points for reading in class. For a year (two) my only support system was books and I had no actual friends. I didn't have any actual friends until I moved and now I have one.
Sixth? The same (Minus part of the bullying, she wasn't in my classes, mostly), except a pandemic halfway through. I sat with people I barely knew who really didn't get me at all at lunch because I was terrified of being alone, of any potential for being seen as a target ever again. I still am.
Seventh? I moved. No Gifted Program. Middle of a Pandemic. Get back to me in a month, when it's over.
My point is that I grew up too fast. I lost my childhood. I have more of the symptoms of a emotional abuse survivor than I should. I'm not comparing myself to those people; I'm not saying what happened to me is anything like whatever happened to them.
I'm just saying that I went through what, to me, was hell and some of it could have been avoided if I had had the social-emotional learning skills to make a friend.
If school had taught me what it should have maybe I wouldn't be so broken now.
If school had given breaks and less homework maybe I wouldn't be so stressed now.
If I had a chance to breathe in those years maybe I would be different now.
I can't remember the last time I was properly relaxed. The closest I get is when I'm writing; when I'm crafting a story that's all my own.
I don't really know where I'm going with this post. I'm not even sure why I wrote it. But...
I just needed to tell someone and if they- if you ignore me I'll never know.
I don't know if I was the villian. I don't know if I was the victim. All I know is I am broken; touch starved; blaming myself for everything bad that ever happened to me; and I really, really want to cry but I can't.
Sorry its so long and doesn't really connect to the picture at all.
Thank you, if you're still here.

Wick modern AU: Explained +Some fun facts
Uhm, i was gonna wait until i finish this AU's synopsis and new book cover, but both will be taking a while until they get ready...
And i wanted to post this "overview" for a while now, anyways, here's some fun facts and a summary of the story:
Old book cover:
Tumblr media
I'm really proud of Sam's shading, but the twins look weird and Tom looks old...I won't use this cover, 'cus Travis and Duncan are main characters as well and i want to include them on the cover. +My art style changed!
Story summary:
Just a quick thing! I changed quite a few things to fit the narrative and the modern days setting, i hope you understand!
The story of this AU happens in September 2014, a little less than a month until Sam’s birthday, where the Weavers aren't dead– Well, most of them aren't...
The narrative is centered on a curse, that was based on the audio that plays when you pick up Benny's bible, where 7 people are affected by it: Tim, Tom, John, Sam, John's brother/Sam's dad(I won't name him), Mary and James.
Sam's, Travis' and Duncan's side of the story will be more on the investigative side maybe with a bit of comedy(I'm not good with writing that, so it will most likely be just investigation), while Tim and Tom's side will be the more angst and unusual/horror side. Sam will have a bit of horror as well, since he's linked with them by the curse, but the twins will definitely have the spotlight when it comes to horror/unusual stuff.
Fun Facts:
General:
The story happens a week, maybe a bit more, after summer break
Even tho one of the first chapters is set on school, them going to school will probably just be mentioned or implied, Example: Them leaving a school bus
For some reason, i saw a few stories where everyone knew what polio is and how it works, which i felt it wouldn't be realistic, so that won't happen here
It has a lot of paranormal stuff
The summer camp by the Weaver's property is closed and has been like that for a few years now
Just Mary and James call the twins Changelings, the rest of the city knows there are "changelings" walking around, just, not that the twins are them
There's no changelings, they think there is, but in reality it's just a curse(like that's something lighter than a demon switched with a child at birth)
The song that helps me get in the mood of this story when I'm writing is "Far too young to die" by Panic! At the disco
Timas Weaver:
Tim is 12, he'll be 13 in...approximately 3 months
He was born December 30th 2001 and is the oldest between him and Tom
He's almost an inch shorter than Tom
He has a huge burn scar! It goes from a bit more than half of his chest, both his arms, his palms and his whole neck, he got that scar when he was 3 years old
He's does not have asthma, but he does have extreme pyrophobia on it's place
He has flat affect, his face doesn't match his emotions/he looks serious most of the time(I'm so sorry if I don't portrait it right! Please give me constructive criticism if I do something wrong here!)
He's a theater kid and would be quoting a lot of musicals if Mary didn't isolate him and Tom from the world(The theater part only exists because of his and Tom's masks)
The whittling thing exists here, but like, it won't be of much importance to the story, the knife will! But not the whittle part
He despises spiders and it's Tom's fault!
He climbs trees (there's not much I can say here to be honest)
He has this...i don't know if you can call it a quirk, but, he tends to tilt his head to the left, it's kinda random
He's ambidextrous, was left handed, but Mary forced him to learn to use his right hand
He teached himself how to throw knifes...don't mess with him
Paranoia!
Needs therapy
Tomathy Weaver:
Tom is 12 and will be 13 in approximately 3 months
He was born December 30th 2001 and is the youngest between him and Tim
He's almost an inch taller than Tim
He doesn't have Polio now, he did when he was...around 5 years old
His left leg is bigger than his right one, his right feet reaches his left ankle
His left ankle is paralyzed, that's why he uses a leg brace
He's claustrophobic, he developed that on the same day Tim got his scar and pyrophobia
He won first place on a spelling bee before he got Polio and he used to spell when he got anxious, but after John's disappearence he started shuddering, shaking and cracking his joints instead, very similar to how he shudders on the game
He loves spiders!
He is really flexible, but, because of his polio, he can't play around with it anymore
He likes to draw
He has pretty bad scoliosis
Paranoia #2!
Socially awkward baby
Went to therapy when little, needs to go back
Caleb Weaver:
Caleb is 9 years old
He was born August 19th 2005
He's almost the same height as Timas
He was a year old when Tom had polio
He's actually James' kid, not John's
He won first place in 2014's(the year the story happens) county track meet
He dislikes Tim
Lillian Weaver:
Lillian is 5 years old
She was born February 28th 2009
She's a bit tall for her age
She's notorious for making little deals between her and her siblings, like helping them get away with something in exchange of something(getting her out of class during their recess, buying a new plushy, etc.)
She's a really curious and affectionate kid, loves hugs, kisses and especially being picked on someone's lap
She loves bunnies(even tho this isn't a surprise)
Benjamin Weaver:
Benjamin is 14 years old and will be 15 in less then a month
He was born October 24th 1999
He's just really tall compared to the twins (it's kinda funny, Tim and Tom are 4 years older than Caleb, but they are just an inch taller than him)
He's really religious and prays a lot for his siblings' health and safety
He's been trying to take care of Tom after John's disappearence, since Mary doesn't do it, much the opposite, she hides Tom's medicines on purpose
Mary Weaver:
I didn't give her neither an age nor a birthday...i probably need to do that
She had an affair with James, when the twins were 4 and Benny was 6, Caleb was born from this affair
She doesn't hit any of her kids, but she does neglect most of them
On the nights between Saturday and Sunday, she doesn't sleep, she spends this time praying with a candle, then, before they go to church, she writes everything that happened that night on her diary
She has a lot of diaries, she keeps them in the attic
She's a little bitch(i don't know what else to say about her)
Pastor James McAlroy:
James also doesn't have an age nor birthday (i only have the Weaver kids and Sam's birthdays)
He won't appear much, but he does have a big role on the story
He's Caleb's biological dad(i mentioned that like 3 times already)
He tried doing a "honest-to-god exorcism" on the twins, it was just a cover for an attempt of murder
He's a toxic little shit(there's not much I can say about him)
Samuel Burton:
Sam is 12 years old and will be 13 in less than a month
He was born in October 2nd 2001
Him and Travis are Brothers on their mom's part
He's cousin with the Weavers, minus Caleb, they just don't know each other
He can be just as smug as Travis sometimes
He absolutely hates going on ghost hunting, he thinks it's dumb
He has long hair and freckles all over his body
He's just too lazy to tie his own shoes
He's the only one that remembers to bring a backpack when ghost hunting
While Travis is the camera man, he's the flashlight guy
Travis Burton:
Travis is 15 years old and i don't have a birthday for him, well, he would be born in 1999 just like Benny
He doesn't like wearing glasses, but doesn't have other choice, he either doesn't take proper care of his lenses and gets his eyes irritated or he just lost them
He's the face of his and Duncan's channel
He tries to drag Sam to be part of the channel, but he doesn't really want to be part of it
He cusses way too much
He's brave, only because he goes face first into danger without thinking
Duncan:
Duncan is 15 and would also be born in 1999
Big ass coward, sends Travis and Sam to go investigate on his place every fucking time
Entitled as fuck
The "brain" behind his and Travis' channel
He's suspiciously good on researching, he'll find the most unexpected things about you
He's a little shit as well
...i think that's it! Now i can go continue the first chapter and maybe finish it soon

Character ref for; Jack, Maddie and Jazz,
Art by @gally-hin / @gally-hin-phantom
Okay so first off; in terms of Actual redesign, I didn't change a whole lot. I'm actually very fond of Jack and Maddie's design's, my only real issue was with their proportions. Like...look as a lady person who is also thiCC I do not have a fucking wasp thin waist and I'm sure I'm not the only one, lmao. As for Jack? Godamnit he looked like a brick on toothpicks. Just Let him be a fucking Bara man! Anyway of course I asked Gally to do this one bc they're fucking great at drawing different body types
I also cannot and will not take credit for Jazz's outfit. I didn't have any issue with her canon clothes aside from them being a bit plain, so what she's wearing here was literally pulled straight off of her original concept art, which I will link here.
Anyway, getting to the Actual character lore now, let's start with
Maddie Fenton
-Full name is Madeline (I haven't decided on a maiden name yet)
-Born and raised on a farm in Arkansas, had a southern accent that she trained herself out of in college bc it was just one more reason for people not to take her seriously. Still sometimes uses "y'all" completely unironically bc old habits die hard.
-She has a really big family, and they're proud of her accomplishments but feel like she's wasting her talent studying ghosts, because really, up until the Fenton portal was up and running there wasn't even any solid proof they existed. Her sister Alicia is the one outlier there, and even if she doesn't understand, it she completely supports her.
-She majored in engineering and minored in psychology at Wisconsin EDU. Her, Jack and Vlad were all in the same engineering class, and that's where they met.
-Maddie is particularly interested in how ghosts think, analysing their behavior, their motives. Not only that, but they aren't just dead people with unfinished business, they've built an entire culture in the Ghost Zone that is completely seperate from humanity, and she wants to understand all of it.
-skilled marksman and 9th degree black belt, (which is. The highest fucking level there is holy shit? I looked it up after I saw it on her wiki page.)
Jack Fenton
-He's from Minnesota (Amity park is in Illinois and him and Maddie didn't move there until after they got married)
-okay, "but why minnesota specifically" you ask? Because. I crave. Foot ball discourse.
-minnesota vikings vs green bay packers guys do you UNDERSTAND WHERE IM GOING WITH THIS
-The funny thing is that Jack only watches football casually while Vlad is a fucking die hard so when these two got together to see a game it was like....
-Jack: Here to chill and have a good time.
-Vlad: Primed and ready to start a fist fight at any given moment.
-I am never not going to be salty about how Canon Jack was portrayed like a complete moron 99% percent of the time. Like no...theres a difference between Actual Stupid and ADHD induced dumbass-ery.
-Am I saying Jack Fenton has ADHD? Yes. why? Because I also have ADHD and I have always vibed So Hard with his Character.
-Jack is loud and easily excited about things that interest him. He's impulsive and fidgety and yeah, a bit absent minded. He has a mouth that clearly runs so much faster than his head. His train of thought doesn't get derailed so much as it stops and takes several different detours on the way to it's final destination.
-and that's only the tip of the iceberg, really, I'd need an entire essay to get into this completely, but I just really relate.
-Jacks skill-set / interests regarding ghosts vary a bit from Maddie's, most notably in the sense that he doesn't believe that they're static entities already set in their ways, completely incapable of change.
-Jack majored in engineering and minored in Biology at Wisconsin EDU.
-Jack's work with tech is a bit hit or miss. He definitely HAS the engineering skills, but the intrest isn't always there and he's constantly jumping back and forth between different projects. He tends to focus on the concept work and schematics and leave most of the assembly to Maddie as a result. It's an arrangement that works well for them, and has drastically decreased the number of unintentional explosions in the lab.
-A lot of Jack's work tends to revolve around ghostly biology and Ectoplasm, figuring out how ghosts are made, what makes them tick, what the hell Ectoplasm Actually Is, how it's used as an energy source, ect.
-and yes, that does also mean he handles the dissections.
-See that facial scar? Yeah, that's not actually there at the start of the series rewrite but it's very important for plot reasons so I had to include it. Can't say much more on the subject because SPOILERs owo.
Jasmine Fenton
-Jazz is a 18 years old, and a senior at Casper high.
-Which means she prepping to go away to college and won't be around to keep an eye on Danny.
-Obviously that doesn't mean I'm just writing her out of the story, oh no. Know why? Because she's also gonna go to Wisconsin EDU. ya know who else is in Wisconsin? Fuckin' Vlad.
-Jazz is autistic, Although she passes for neurotypical in part due to symptoms being completely over looked in girls due to gender stereotyping and also the fact that she doesn't have any special interests that are considered " "too weird.""
- Her hyperfixation with psychology started at a young age in an effort to better understand people, and social/emotional cues and all that.
-Jazz is well liked at school but she's not popular or apart of any specific group or clique. She's very kind and compassionate to people, and just about everyone knows her, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone who actually Considered her a friend. Except maybe Spike.
-I'm gonna have to give spike his own Character ref at some point, but he's this scary looking goth kid that's been held back twice. He's actually super sweet, just really fuckin' quiet and anxious. Him and jazz kinda ended up gravitating towards each other. She might do most of the talking, but they look out for each other.
-its not like jazz doesn't try to socialize, but it's difficult and she's found it much easier and less stressful to just. Keep to herself and let her interactions with her peers stay shallow and superficial. Sure, it's lonely sometimes but it's better than constantly worrying about saying the wrong thing or making some other misstep.
-One of Jazz's other special interests is football, and it's not so much the players or the game as it is the strategy of it? Started out as one of those things you do to bond with your dad, and she ended up getting really into it.
-She absolutley winds up getting into stupidly intense discussions with Vlad about it, too, lmao.
-Her and Danny probably bonded over SBNation bc that shit has both sentient satellites and ridiculously complex football mechanics.
-She's completely oblivious to the fact, but Dash has a massive crush on her bc holy shit this girl understands football (hey bud your toxic masculinity is showing put that shit away)
-I mentioned that Danny was in Cheer for a bit in middle school so it makes sense that she'd also be pushed into doing some kind of extracurricular activity.....so.....she was in a martial arts class for a bit thanks to Maddie and has a good grasp on self defense.
I think that's everything? I feel like I'm leaving things out tho? Idk if I did I'll come back and add on to this later and also pls don't hesitate to ask questions bc it really helps me flesh things out better.

Hot take: Bakugou's character wouldn't survive if not for the one he kept abusing all his life. 90% of his character revolves around his victim and yet the fandom paints him as this super developed, fleshed out character when in reality he'd never be anything bigger than a side character if not for Deku.
Also the concequences he supposedly received are just him being teased or not getting the win he wanted, no being kidnapped doesn't count, he literally got away with his shit while even been treated like a victim and the privilege to know something about Deku that isn't any of his business. And now because he sacrificed himself that one time the fandom acts like Izuku owes his ass anything. It's disgusting.
I have given up on him actually being half the decent character ppl make him out to be and the fandom reaction to him makes me hate him even more.
He's not complex, he's just a pretty boy, asshole archetype who gets nicer and has some more cooperative and ppl love to eat that shit up while making up stuff for him. He changes but he's doesn't change for what matters and definitely pales in comparison to other characters who are better written than him.
(holy shit, did they remove the character limit on asks?? omg a GODSEND)
Well yeah, if it weren’t for Izuku and how he treats Izuku he wouldn’t have anything to improve from; people only think he’s developed because he no longer outright bullies him and “””worries””” (I say in heavy quotes) about him, and “reflects” on how he treated him even though he.......... comes to the absolute wrongest, most idiotic conclusions imaginable, that put the brunt of the excuses on Izuku instead of himself, but Toshinori validates him because Horikoshi has made Toshi into Bakugou’s uwu stan and stan of the two boys’ “friendship” (completely ignoring the fact that THIS KID FOR TEN YEARS BULLIED HIS SON). He’s basically already been devolved to acting like a side character for a long time now, with his funny anger quirk pun partly intended that’s just treated like a joke at this point, just like everyone else’s character quirks, even though it would be far more interesting for him to, you know. actually get some therapy and learn to calm himself and become an actual pleasant person to be around. But that’s not what makes him “funny”, that’s not him, according to most people, so he’s always going to stay like this, a boring angry pomeranian who flies off the handle at everything for no reason, who has done the absolute bare minimum of “changing”, which makes him a perfect character in everyone’s eyes.
“He changes but doesn’t change for what matters” pretty much sums up the problem with him in a nutshell, and is the exact reason he frustrates me so much, that I’ve ranted about plenty before. Bakugou has never been viewed through the lens of a bully, an abuser, he was never set up to be that, at least not realistically, and so his development hasn’t happened in accordance with that setup either, and people don’t have a problem with it and actively praise it because the manga actively downplay(ed)s the severity of that origin story. People can ignore the reality of how seriously traumatic being bullied for ten years of your childhood, verbally and physically would be, and how seriously and with such sensitivity such a relationship and character arc must be handled, because aside from the very first chapter when Izuku and Bakugou are still in middle school, really, with the “take a swan dive off the roof” comment and others, it’s never focused on in that way ever again; ever since, it’s just been treated as a typical anime “rivalry”, that both of them need to better themselves to overcome. The story and teachers say “the two of them are so alike but they just keep missing each other; if they just made up for each others’ weaknesses and understood that they both want the same thing, they’d be stronger together!”, and Izuku HIMSELF tries so hard to reach through to Bakugou, always still considering him his friend, always feeling like he’s the one equally at fault for their relationship being as rocky as it is, when BAKUGOU!!! FUCKING!!! BULLIED HIM!!! FOR TEN YEARS. bullied a DISABLED CHILD, which again, as a disabled person who relates to Izuku and how he felt about his quirklessness, feelings that continue to affect him even long after he gets a quirk because of how he was treated when he was younger, is DEEPLY unsettling to me. You CANNOT read/watch MHA without the metaphor of quirklessness = disabled being very apparent, and so that makes Bakugou’s bullying and how it is so utterly glossed over and purposefully forgotten a hundred times more disturbing and aggravating than it already is! If this were any other shounen rivalry then yes, it could be resolved with effort from both parties, because both parties have their own personal reasons for why they have trouble getting along with the other, and the fun is watching to see how they will overcome those, but Izuku and Bakugou were never on an equal playing field to begin with; this is a bullying story, with its victim trying desperately to win over and befriend his abuser, when he owes him absolutely NOTHING and has a BOATLOAD of unresolved issues thanks to said bullying, with no outside help from adults for either of them because none of them are acknowledging it as fucking bullying. I guarantee you that if the manga went into much more painful, bleak detail and showed many more flashbacks of how Izuku was treated by Bakugou in the past, and then still continued with the “development” he’s had since, people would be unable to ignore it like they can now, and it would make all of them extremely uncomfortable like it does those of us now who already dislike him. Hori himself has said he doesn’t understand why Bakugou is so popular, but he’s able to just continue as he does with him because no one is complaining, and because he said he regrets making him so awful in the beginning, as if that magically makes it disappear as much as it already has in 90% of the fandom’s collective mind. You wanna know an actual good manga that also deals with a bully of a disabled child growing and improving himself and forming a close relationship with his former victim? A Silent Voice. Such a journey is long, and hard, and it is painful, with many ups and downs and many nasty, hateful, guilt-filled, depression-filled feelings from both sides, along with from other characters who either also partook in the bullying, were bystanders to it who did nothing, or were indirect victims as well. The bully is bullied himself after what he does, and then grows up nearly suicidal, closing himself off and struggling to be social and make new friends because he doesn’t know how and doesn’t entirely feel like he deserves it (and the story notably doesn’t go the route of “he was abused too at home and so that’s why he bullied”), and tries and fails many times to make amends with the person he hurt before he finally is at peace with himself and everyone; the victim, meanwhile, drowns in continued guilt and suicidal feelings over feeling like she’s a burden to others, both from her disability and from watching all the infighting and victim blaming and finger pointing that ensues between her old classmates when all of the nasty emotions are brought back to the surface, along with dealing with budding romantic feelings for her past bully when he genuinely starts being kind towards her and making an effort to connect with her. ASV is entirely about this complex narrative, it’s able to dedicate everything it has to telling this story tactfully and with all the time and attention it needs. MHA, meanwhile, is a shounen battle manga, and so it was never going to do this narrative and Bakugou’s arc justice, even though I honestly think it could have if Hori really wanted to, because Izuku and Toshinori’s relationship has such masterfully subtle and touching emotions and care, at least early on; Horikoshi knows how to write good, subtle character arcs. I’m not asking for something ASV level, of course not, when the series has so many other things it has to juggle. I just wanted Bakugou to be treated as exactly what he is: a former bully, who can be taught, and learn, and reflect, and change, and become a better, more humble, more interesting person, and actually become someone worthy of all the praise and love he gets, not only for Izuku’s sake, but for his own, as well. They don’t excuse his actions in the slightest, but it’s still undeniable that Bakugou himself is a victim of how the adults in his life have treated him and raised his own expectations of himself, giving him the crippling insecurity issues he has, and that they continue to harm him (and Izuku) by simply letting him continue to go on angrily the way he does, instead of getting him help and some therapy in order for him to change and heal from things like being kidnapped by villains (which is no small thing to go through!! on top of his guilt over Toshinori’s final battle!) and becoming a better person to the one he hurt in the past, and it all just makes me so sad, not because I’m all “uwu poor Bakugou”, but just cause his character deserves better, as a person he deserves better, just like Izuku deserves better than everything he’s gone through because of him. This is all just a very long-winded way of agreeing with you OP that yes, none of Bakugou’s “punishments” for his behavior mean anything because he’s punished as a rival student who needs to humble himself in order to get along with his friend he doesn’t like, not as a former(??) bully who needs to be separated from his victim. The bar is set so low, was never set where it should be, and so absolutely no progress to “better himself” Bakugou makes either will mean anything, as long as it’s never acknowledged that he needs to make amends as a bully and abuser.

Adrien Agreste =/= Sociopath - About Adrien Salt
I've seen a lot of posts going around about Adrien being a sociopath or the other (harasser, abuser...etc.)
What I find most of those posts lacking is looking at the big picture, or just zeroing in on certain moments of the show and even disregarding the context of those selected moments to unfairly rule judgement on a child (in canon) no less.
Definition of sociopath: A sociopath is a term used to describe someone who has antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). People with ASPD can’t understand others’ feelings. They’ll often break rules or make impulsive decisions without feeling guilty for the harm they cause.
People with ASPD may also use “mind games” to control friends, family members, co-workers, and even strangers. They may also be perceived as charismatic or charming.
We have to analyze the context and the surroundings Adrien is in.
Family, social life, relationships (platonic and romantic), personality, age, environment...etc.
Family:
We know Adrien has a father who is controlling, preferring to micro-manage every aspect of his son's life to continue to have a semblance of control at all times. We assume (heavily implied in the show), that his mother was kind, warm and emotional (whether that emotional is the "out-there" kind her twin sister has, it remains to be seen.)
According to a snippet from "Simon Says", Adrien also has "Quite a temper, you remind me of someone" according to Gabriel's own words, we can assume the "someone" is Emilie, Gabriel says this when Chat Noir refused to follow his orders and told him to basically "get off his high horse". In this context, anyone who defies Gabriel in such a way would either be branded as "disobedient" or to "have quite a temper".
According to Adrien himself in "Adrien's Double Life" (from Miraculous Secrets) he describes being Chat Noir as "...I can finally do whatever I want to do, say whatever comes to mind." He doesnt feel as restricted and controlled since that's the one aspect of his life his father has no knowledge of.
Social life:
Adrien has had no or very little interaction with peers.
Evidence: Chloe being his childhood friend. Felix commenting on Chloe's appearance in the video she sent for Adrien's birthday, saying "Chloe. Just as annoying as usual." suggests he knows her from before, maybe even as early on as their childhood days.
This makes Felix and Chloe the only kids, of spoiled and rich background, with whom Adrien interacted.
Felix is shown to be good at manipulating people and keeping up appearances (potentially connected to insecurities within the family? Not confirmed), Chloe is openly mean and bullies others (with underlying insecurities also connected to her parents).
The only positive adult (if Gorilla isn't as involved and Nathalie had been solely Gabriel's secretary and not Adrien's caretaker since there was Emilie) in Adrien's life would be his mother, who also fell into a coma during Adrien's formative years (and still during a time where he's figuring himself and his emotions out: puberty), leaving him with his father.
Moving on, even if the writer's sometimes may not always successfully show Adrien being awkward in social interactions, it doesnt mean they dont exist.
This interaction between him and Marinette, asking for her autograph, very formal in his question, awkward in posture:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's picked up on some speech patterns from his frequent interactions with Nino ("dude", "Hey man." "Totally dude.") showing he's, like many people, mimicking his friend's behavior and speech to grow more favorably in their eyes.
Tumblr media
The same pattern can be observed with Gabriel and Adrien: Adrien adopts his father's formal speech whenever talking to him, since that appeases him.
Adrien has had very limited friendly interactions with his peers, romantic interactions are basically non-existent. The scenes where Adrien is being chased by his fans, who obsessively adore him, cant be linked to Adrien experiencing healthy romantic contact (Lila doesn't count since she only uses Adrien to further her goals). Marinette doesn't count since Adrien's isn't even aware of her romantic feelings for him. (Again, difficulties picking up social cues due to only ever being homeschooled > limited social contact with peers)
So no, in my humble opinion, Adrien sometimes doesn't understand other people's feelings not because he's a sociopath, but because he's an awkward kid with very little experience about making friends and having healthy relationships with them.
Relationships:
Let's be direct here: Gabriel is an abusive as*hole.
If the writer's wanted to show Gabriel struggling or having remorse for his actions being Hawkmoth and putting his son through danger, well... They blew it. "Gorizilla" was a 5 second reaction of Hawkmoth showing concern after letting Adrien fall from a skyscraper. Applause. After that? Not much.
Nathalie: Adrien likes, she takes care of him, his schedule, was the one to convince Gabriel to let him attend public school. There are moments in the show where she softens up towards Adrien, but always carries that air of professionalism on her to (possibly, assumption) not grow too close. Gorilla is...Gorilla, but at least the man tries with his nonverbal support and affectionate grunts. Lol.
Gabriel: He loves his father. It's his parent, after all. However, Adrien's reactions to him are vastly different than to how he reacts when thinking of his mother. He shows signs of fear (tensing up, growing obedient...etc.), he excuses his father's excessive controlling tendencies to just be "he's just worried about me", "that's the way he always was", "father cares and protects me". Adrien shows to be frequently disappointed with Gabriel, one of the first scenes being that Gabriel couldn't attend parent's day at school, Adrien was talking on the phone alone in the school hallway. He was genuinely surprised by the blue scarf his father gifted him (not knowing it was Marinette), since all he used to get were pens (again, not even from Gabriel, but Nathalie). This is my assumption but: Adrien has previously begged his father to go outside more or attend public school, but this time it worked only because Nathalie managed to convince him.
Friends from school: Nino is his best friend, Adrien seems to be good friends with Alya too, basically everyone in class, with varying degrees of closeness. Chloe is a childhood friend whom Adrien is fond of but also grows exasperated with and corrects her behavior if she's too harsh.
Marinette: likes and respects her, but can't read her well or at least when he thinks he's got her figured out, she claims the opposite. Marinette has been sending mixed signals, on one hand even making Adrien believe (and fear) they weren't friends. "Chat Blanc" contrary to popular belief, showed that Adrien is delighted at the prospect of Marinette being Ladybug (he'd severe doubts when Chloe or anyone else was brought up as a possible option).
Kagami: likes her, respects her, admires her fencing skills, learned to have fun hanging out with her and playing as kids usually do since she also has a controlling parent and they both know some ways/tricks around their boundaries to sneak off and meet their friends. Adrien and Kagami have similarities in that respect, Gabriel pushing Adrien to be a model, Mrs. Tsurugi pushing Kagami to be a master fencer.
Lila: At first defended her, was friendly towards her since she was a new student from overseas he sympathized because surely it would be lonely? The new girl would need a friend who supported her through all this things that were new for him too. However, as soon as he caught wind of Lila's schemes, he changes his tune. He feels uncomfortable around her overstepping his boundaries, expresses anger when Lila accused Marinette of crimes she didn't commit and even makes a deal with her to not bother Marinette again (but use him instead, doing photoshoots together...etc.) to keep her safe.
Age:
A 14-15 year old, having lost his mother, the only positive, healthy relationship in his life. Surrounded by a controlling father, not much free time, many extracurricular activities and being a superhero alongside Ladybug.
Some of the signs of being a sociopath include: Breaking rules and being impulsive.... Didn't Ladybug do those too?
Breaking the rules: (since LB and Marinette are the same) stealing phones, sneaking into places where she shouldn't, using the miraculous for personal gain (latest example: getting Kagami away from Adrien), giving Adrien the snake miraculous due to personal preference instead of drawing logical conclusions. Sneaked into the Agreste mansion.
Impulsiveness: Marinette's daily fantasies (sharing a future life with Adrien and their hamster-who-must-not-be-named), when Lila's "precious family heirloom necklace" was "stolen", Marinette was quick to include her classmates in the list of potential perpetrators for it (without ill intent, but still..)
You know who the real potential sociopath in the show is?
Gabriel
Some of you might include Lila too (since she fits all the criteria for being a sociopath), but the key difference is: Lila is still just a kid.
We don't know much about her family life. Just that her mother is busy with work, we don't know where her father is, who her friends were/if she even had them. She might be lying and manipulating people to follow her own agenda, but she thrives in attention, when people notice and praise her. In some aspects, that could've been Adrien. With one neglectful parent, a missing parent, no friends (prior to going to school)...etc. There is also a lot we don't know about her.

Can't get behind making therapy mandatory, since the current system isn't set up to actually help most marginalized people. It was made by cishet able white men to pathologize anything outside of their acceptable parameters for human behavior. Many of us have been harmed by that system and don't wish to be forced back into it.
It should be mandatory for the government to provide access, not for individuals to attend. There are other ways for kids to learn emotional skills that don't look like talk therapy, etc.
I can definitely understand where you come from with this opinion. I'm kinda currently lacking the language to explain what I'm thinking, especially since things like "mandatory" is inherently against my overall socialist leaning heavily anarchist political philosophy. Maybe normalized would be better?
And I agree that psychiatry and therapy in general definitely didn't start out great and while there have been massive improvements since then, because Western medicine is rooted in racism and there are obvious, consistent examples of BIPOC, intersex, people with uterus, fat, basically anyone who doesn't fit a very specific mold of person not getting the treatment they need, there are still problems.
Fortunately, we are seeing these improvements in real time. The fight against Autism Speaks is a good one, or the fact that social media has made it easier to disseminate information regarding mental and physical health problems still being taught to doctors in good faith.
We're also seeing more black and brown voices in psychiatric care, which is critical because white therapists just cannot relate to the unique struggles that face BIPOC people in the US. We're seeing disabled folks having their voices platformed.
It's not perfect, and there's still a lot of problems. I realize in many ways I am privileged because I grew up (basically) in Huntsville Alabama, which has a population that's over 60% white. So while I was able to find a therapist for me, and even though I have experience trauma at the hands of a well-meaning therapist, I had an easier time seeking someone out versus a black person in the same city.
Even now in Philadelphia, where white people are actually in a minority (40% versus 42% for black people and the last 18% divided between biracial and other racial minorities), I still had an easier time finding a therapist that worked for me. My trauma at the hands of a therapist did make me hesitant to trust the system, but the gaslighting wasn't extreme enough for me to not realize it could help.
Just like how my mother's gaslighting about medication worked on me until 2020, when I finally had been with a single therapist long enough that when she saw me become a walking corpse and suggested antidepressants, I was able to trust her.
So yeah, traditional talk therapy isn't really gonna cut it, especially not if we want to implement a way to help kids recognize, validate, and healthily regulate their emotions and responses to themselves and others. But I did mention other potential avenues -- group therapy, implementing these sorts of lessons in schools (alongside financial education, homemaking tasks, cooking, etc), things like that.
It's... not easy to heal from trauma, especially if your trauma came at the hands of people you were told are here to help you. And it's not easy to decouple the racist, sexist, ableist history that entrenches mental health. But I do agree there's more ways for kids to learn healthy emotional regulation and coping mechanisms, and I do think it's important to see that while there's a lot of work to be done and it's a hard and rocky road, we have seen improvement, however incremental, over time.
I hope that makes sense.
