I'm sorry but this just pisses me off (Not Hunt obviously, but Bryce)
Bryce rant incoming which you can just ignore and I'll probably delete later
But Bryce just puts all the blame on the Asteri. And yes ultimately they are to blame in the larger sense of things. But Bryce plays a direct role in leading them down the path that results in Hunt, Ruhn and Baxian being caught. It was her need to find out Danika's secrets with no thought to the consequences, her idea to go to the Eternal City. And she takes NO personal responsibility for it at all!
Hunt is blaming himself for everything that's happened. Even when it's not his fault at all. When we're in his pov he's constantly drowning in guilt, thinking about how he should of done more, he should of tried harder, he should of been better, how it's all his fault this happened and that his friends suffered.
And then Bryce does none of that. When we're in her pov she doesn't really show any major guilt. I can't think of any times when she blames herself like Hunt does. And I'm not saying she should be wracked with guilt. But a normal person, a good person, will usually feel bad and will feel guilty and blame themselves to some degree when something bad happens and people they care about are hurt, regardless of how big or small they're involvement is, or even if they're not at fault at all, case in point Hunt being wracked with guilt even when it's not his fault.
And to make it worse she acknowledges that Hunt warned them, warned her. But that she disregarded it and would of done it no matter what.
And then she has the audicity to say she doesn't regret it. And she thought they were on the same page. ON THE SAME PAGE!!?? Hunt made it clear in hosab that he didn't want to go down this road again, that he didn't want to get involved. YOU just didn't listen Bryce. And yeah Hunt's an adult, he can make his own decisions and he could of said no and not gone. But of course, OF COURSE!! he wasn't going to let Bryce go down that road alone, because he loves her, and doesn't want anything to happen to her, and wants to protect, so of course he would never desert her. But that doesn't mean he wanted to do it!
For Bryce to be that unaware of Hunt's feelings, when he explicitly stated them. For her to be that disconnected from her mate's feelings that she's surprised that he wasn't really on board is kinda unfathomable to me. Just that complete lack of awareness really does make her look quite selfish/self centered.
Anyway sorry, this post is a mess but I just had to vent
And then when Hunt mentions the consequences he and his friends faced, Bryce makes it about her pain. She's hurt that Hunt mentioned that they suffered. And the worst part is, Hunt then regret's it, he regrets saying something that hurts Bryce, because he cares about her and feelings. And she does not consider his feelings to the same degree
It just pisses me off

Do you think that maybe sometime before the series Chloe and Marinette were friends at one point, but had a bad falling out which led to the rivalry they have today?
Oh, most definitely.
In my headcanons, Chloe was always spoiled in one way or another, but she wasn’t always that bad. She was your average fun-loving and adorable little girl. Marinette and Chloe meet in pre-k and become friends. However, around halfway through in kindergarten, Audrey leaves Chloe to go to New York. This is around the time Chloe started to act out and became the bully, including to her former friend, Marinette.
I also, can imagine the reasons why Chloe strayed away from Marinette was because of her mother leaving with Zoe (they’re twins in my AUs), being jealous of the others “happy little families” (especially Marinette’s), and she just generally IS jealous of Marinette, she’s envious of her. Some people don’t think that the two girls had any kind of “falling”, that Chloe was always a bully and the two just naturally clash. But at this point however, the writers and especially Thomas would deny any kind of depth that Chloe could’ve possibly had, just to hammer in the fact that Chloe was always this “one-dimensional evils” who never cared about anybody but herself, even as a toddler.
HOW INTERESTING 🙄

Started watching Yellowjackets because of you and hhhgrkfdlrdgkt I’m only on episode two and I love Misty so much.
idk if i can honestly say i love her but i do love her characterization, her manipulativeness and impulsiveness and willingness to go to extreme lengths to get what she wants aren't softened at all and it's very compelling to watch

"It turns out that sometimes the future actually belongs to someone else."
Happy Taransusie Tuesday, everyone! Here's...
Content that only ostensibly focuses on Taransusie and is more than anything character analysis of a third party?
How romantic! 🎉🥳
Okay, but no, seriously. Joshing aside, the other day I posted a meme about Sectonia and how she might feel about the idea of Taranza eventually moving on from her. And it was funny. We all laughed. But things can't always be goof-goof "If everyone started saying 'she sent her for you' I would start haunting literally everyone here because no I didn't." I'm a serious guy. I like exploring concepts that make me go "OUCHIE!" and so let's look at that sort of idea through a more somber lens for a moment.
...How would Sectonia feel if Taranza eventually moved on?
Now, I don't know if she's out there... somewhere in Hades or haunting his ass, but either way I think about her a lot. How she might feel in death, especially if she was returned to her right mind.
I think... Sectonia would have a lot of complicated feelings. Like, before we even get to the relationship nonsense. Let's toss all that aside for a second. I think Sectonia would be simultaneously be crushed by the state she left Taranza in and still... upset to eventually see him heal from it. She'd be glad, of course, to watch the scars she left on him fade, but all the same... seeing him make new friends— leave her behind...
That would have to hurt a little bit, wouldn't it? After all, it's not like she'd be afforded the same opportunity. She died young. Via circumstances that were hardly her fault. Of course she'd be a little bit jealous. Of course she'd be a little bit depressed. Maybe even a little bit angry. And she'd feel bad about it, but she would.
So when you factor in the idea of Taranza entering another relationship... oh my gosh, those complex feelings would only intensify. Taranza deserves to be happy. Taranza deserves to move on. She would know that rationally, but at the same time, the heart isn't always rational.
I do think ultimately she'd support him. In whatever he chose to do. Even if it hurt her a little. The least she can do is give him her blessing after everything that happened.
But that's something that applies to just about any Taranza ship. Let's talk about Susie for a moment.
I... think Susie and Sectonia are people who have some similar issues. At least in my interpretations, they're both people who have warped and maimed themselves in an endless search of perfection hoping it will grant them acceptance from others. But this hasn't granted them peace of mind, and in fact all it's done is pull them further from 'themselves.'
I don't know. I just think they'd have a lot to talk about, even in contexts that don't flagrantly disregard the Bechdel test like this one. They're both girlies who would, like, really vibe to both "Oh No!" by Marina and the Diamonds and "Body" by Mother Mother if that's a sentence that makes even a lick of sense. Their mental illnesses aren't the same, but they're like cousins. Their mental illnesses went to school together.
I think this sort of... self-recognition through the other would both make things easier and harder on Sectonia. Because on one hand, I think it would further be a reminder of all the things she'll never have no matter how badly she wants them, but I also think it would help her... have more empathy for this person she's initially inclined to see as her enemy, and maybe even help her eventually want good things for her.
It's kind of a complex scenario. More serpentine than I could possibly portray in a single comic or Tumblr post. Eventually, I'd like to write a fic from a deceased Sectonia's perspective exploring these sorts of ideas. But for now, I'll leave you with one last preposterous observation:
Perhaps this, too, is yuri. 🤖🐝

what is it with fandom finding asian women characters annoying, like they said it about keiko from ds9 and jubilee from xmen the animated series and rose tico from star wars and mona from legends of tomorrow and glimmer from she-ra. like why “annoying” specifically, like is their tolerance for immaturity or imperfection just that low when it’s a character who is not white? is it because asian women in popular western media have been depicted as submissive and subservient for so long and these depictions have become so normalized that any time an asian woman onscreen asserts her personhood, audiences find it grating? is it because the (often white) writers reduce these asian women characters to plot devices with little interiority, rendering them one-dimensional and making it difficult for audiences (who are already resistant to identifying with any character who is not a white man) to relate to them? i think it’s probably all of the above to some extent
