IM ON MY PARTNERS IN CRIME LEELUKE AU BULLSHIT AGAIN
Their relationship is basically "Friends to Acquaintances to In The Same Boat to Friends to Lovers" and "Actually Requited Feelings But They Don't Know That".
Lee was the first to fall, and even when they split apart after Luke's quest and when Lee figured out that Luke wants to start the war he couldn't bring himself to hate Luke. Man literally said "I'm getting you out of this" and kissed Luke and does his best to get them both and everyone else out of this mess. But he doesn't make any further moves and tries to hold onto this fragile thing between him and Luke, not wanting his old crush break this little connection he just created.
Meanwhile Luke is catching feelings and having bi panic. He was the one to ruin their relationship and he always thought Lee hated him for getting his close friends killed on his quest. He pushed the other away and did nothing to fix it, thinking it was for the best. And then Lee comes and confronts him about the Winter Solstice (before it evEN HAPPENS-) and now they are stuck together because Lee can't not poke and pry.
Now Luke spends more and more time with Lee and can't help but get this fuzzy feeling everytime he sees the other or thinks about him, no matter the context. Be it getting ten bullseyes in a row, or protecting a little demigod girl from hellhounds, or furrowing his brows as he thinks of a plan to get them out of trouble, or laying relaxed on the coach in a silly shirt and old sweetpants, or complaining about Luke ruining his kitchen while he burns the eggs himself. And if it isn't love, then what?

Spoilers for comics in August!
These are part of the official solicitations for that month, which you can see in full at CBR.  It’s a month heavy on Suicide Squad reprints and variant covers, as the movie is out in early August.  But the Mick story continues in the Flash book.
THE FLASH #773 story by JEREMY ADAMS art by WILL CONRAD cover by BRANDON PETERSON ON SALE 8/17/21 $3.99 US | 32 PAGES | FC | DC card stock variant by JORGE CORONA US $4.99 Suicide Squad Movie card stock variant by ALAN QUAH US $4.99 On the loose and bent on destruction, Heatwave's return couldn't come at a worse time for Wally West. Now that the onetime Kid Flash has retaken the mantle of the Fastest Man Alive, he's also taken a new job at Mr. Terrific's Holt Industries. But all of that gets put on the back burner, when the Flash must outrace the flames of one of his greatest foes and figure out why the once-reformed rogue has gone bad again.
Please write ‘Heat Wave’ correctly, DC.  Anyway, it seems that Mick really has gone bad for some reason; I was hoping last month that the covers/solicits were misleading.
I’m not sure who the fiery guy is on the Swamp Thing cover, but he certainly bears a resemblance to Mick (and if it’s him, implies that Mick joins Suicide Squad).  So I’ll post it here just in case.
THE SWAMP THING #6 story by RAM V art by MIKE PERKINS cover by MIKE PERKINS ON SALE 8/3/21 $3.99 US | 32 PAGES | FC | DC 6 of 10 card stock variant by FRANCESCO MATTINA $4.99 US With Prescot’s bio-agent set off in the Kaziranga wetlands, the Green summons Levi back to the land of his making. With Levi unable to access his powers as Swamp Thing, he finds himself trapped in the dense forest and stalked by a group tasked with retrieving his alter ego at all costs. Will he recover his powers before he is hunted down by the Suicide Squad?
Putting the Suicide Squad stuff behind a cut because it gets pretty long -- and not all of it’s included here.  I don’t know if Digger will appear in Suicide Squad: Get Joker!, but included it just in case.  Most of it is TPBs and collected editions, though the Get Joker! series is a new story.

Westworld season 2 brings back several missing characters
More characters survived the Westworld season 1 finale’s mayhem than you might think. The upcoming second season of HBO’s acclaimed sci-fi hit dives headlong into Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) leading a robo-revolution to seize control of the futuristic theme park. But last season’s finale mayhem, the lack of certain characters in season 2’s trailers — and the silent hush around the show’s new narrative in general — has led to some uncertainty among some fans about who exactly is coming back this year, and who is not.
We spoke to showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy and managed to get a few tidbits on what we can expect for some of the characters whose fates were left uncertain:
The Man in Black (Ed Harris) and William (Jimmi Simpson): The theme park’s VIP guest is very much alive and has a new mission in season 2 (“He gets a bit of damage done to him, that’s for sure,” Harris teases). We’ll also see his younger incarnation, William, as we explore the early days of the park and discover how he gained so much influence over Delos Incorporated.
Elsie Hughes (Shannon Woodward) and Ashley Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth): Smart-ass programmer Hughes vanished near the end of season 1, while wary security chief Stubbs was captured by a tribe of Native American hosts when he went looking for her. Both are alive, but not exactly doing so hot. “They’re finally getting to experience Westworld as guests and not in the managerial halls, but I’m not sure they’re enjoying their experience,” Joy says dryly.
Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson): Delos’ icy corporate villainous also survived the board meeting from hell. “She is back and causes trouble,” Joy says. “She went from this controlled person playing this chess game with Ford. He takes out her king and queen in one fell swoop. Now she’s left at the mercy of the hosts like everyone else.”
Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman): The park’s arrogant head writer becomes Maeve’s (Thandie Newton) hostage at the start of the new season. “He’s found himself in the most uncomfortable position he can possibly be in,” Quarterman says. “These hosts have always been props to his stories, and now it’s like he’s become a player in one of his own stories.”
Peter Abernathy (Louis Herthum): Dolores’ creepy, Shakespeare-quoting father was last seen being brought out of cold storage as part of Charlotte Hale’s scheme to smuggle data out of the park. He was supposed to be put on a train to leave. Did he make it out? We’re told he will be in the season and has become “an important asset,” one of only two characters that Dolores has any attachment to (the other, of course, is Teddy).
Clementine Pennyfeather (Angela Sarafyan): Brothel worker Clementine was effectively lobotomized and put into storage, but then she unexpectedly popped up again during the finale mayhem to take a shot at The Man in Black (she’s barely recognizable in the scene). We don’t have much intel on this one, but the showrunners have previously noted that last season’s operation resulted in the previous version of her character being changed forever.
Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins): Ford was really and truly killed by Dolores in the season 1 finale. He’s not expected to return as played by Hopkins. We will, however, see a younger version of Dr. Ford in flashbacks played by another actor at some point.

THOR : RAGNAROK THOUGHTS (SPOILER ALERT)
literally the visuals of the damn film were great, A+++
- first of all THANK YOU TAIKA FOR DIRECTING THIS BEAUTY
- he literally added all of his little touches from Rachel House as Topaz from The Hunt for the Wilderpeople (there was an easter egg in the first trailer with reference to the movie through graffiti of the Skux Life) to Luke Hemsworth and Matt Damon impersonating Thor and Loki on stage
- THOR TALKING TO A DAMN SKELETON
- you’re probably wondering how i ended up like this cliche
- THANKS FOR BRINGING IN MY MAN KARL URBAN TO PLAY SKURGE who has a pretty decent character arc from replacing Heimdall to collecting knick knacks from the nine realms (machine guns named ‘Des’ and ‘Troy’, together they’re ‘Destroy’) and trying to impress ladies to temporarily becoming Hela’s Executioner although he hasn’t the heart to kill his own people to trying to be a stowaway (some would call this cowardly but wait) to deciding to fight for Asgard and giving his life as a result, he got his recognition
- Thor’s hammer antics, putting it in the dragon’s mouth and setting it on Loki’s chest like, “Stay!” and “OW OW OW” yeah that hammer is a real gem, pity Hela had to destroy it, makes sense that she would be able to do so since she wielded it before Thor was ever born when she and Odin had their fun rampaging the realms
- HELA IS THOR’S (and technically Loki’s) OLDER SISTER????????????? WHAT THE HELL????
- Loki as Odin was bloody hilarious, going “Oh shit” the moment his brother shows up (plus the giant statue of himself in gold, really??? a bit much???)
- LOKI LEAVING ODIN IN AN ELDERLY HOME HAH (the damn thing was being demolished like HELLO)
- Loki having to outdo Thor in some way aka FULL BLACK SUIT, SHIRT AND TIE FROM HEAD TO TOE while Thor is literally in jeans and a jacket (his face when Thor was asked for a selfie though, like how is that ever possible)
- THANKS FOR BRINGING IN BENEDICT TOO LIKE I NEEDED ME SOME STEPHEN STRANGE BEING SUPER EXTRA AND TELEPORTING(???) EVERYWHERE MAKING THOR WHOOZY (honestly i laughed so hard when Loki said he’d been falling for thirty minutes since Strange opened a portal for him to fall into and then reopned it much later, loved it)
- Thor disguising his hammer as a damn umbrella and it completely wrecking the New York Sanctum as it flies to him
- Sentimental bros when Odin passed on IN FRIGGING NORWAY
- The clouds and thunder mirroring Thor’s grief and anger and the sparks crackling like the perfect foreshadowing
- Thor being a dramatic dork with the most unnecessary costume change of the century, a lightning strike *rolls eyes to the moon and back*
- CATE BLANCETT IS SO HOT HOLY SHIT
- HER HAIR TURNS INTO HER HEADDRESS????? WHAAAAA?????
- HELA WHY YOU KILL MY WARRIORS THREE SOBS
- heimdall the fugitive, cue the mission impossible theme song (completely necessary i assure you)
- the amount of humour littered throughout the film is ridiculously fantastic so much so that i can’t possibly go through all of it but kudos to Drunk!Valkyrie, that is a mood i can totally agree with
- Loki and Thor arguing like a bunch of children good lord (CAN I JUST, THE GRANDMASTER SUBTLY FLIRTING WITH LOKI AND THOR JUST LOOKING COMPLETELY CONFUSED LIKE ????? GOLD!!!)
- SPARKLESSSSS
- “What’s the word we use for her that start’s with B?” “Trash.”
- Valkyrie sassing her way through the film, everywhere from speaking to Thor to Topaz and Loki like, what a boss
- Thor getting his hair cut by Stan Lee with a robotic arm (he’s so damn attached to his hair like woah)
- TAIKA VOICING KORG LIKE WHAT A PRECIOUS BEAN THAT GIANT STONE MONSTER IS I LOVE HIM ( he’s so precious “I tried to start a revolution but couldn’t print enough pamplets” + “We’re going to get out of here on that ship, want to join us?” + “I accidentally stepped on [Meek] on the Bridge and I felt so bad, I’ve been carrying him around all day” + Meek wakes up, “HEY EVERYONE MEEK’S ALIVE”) also the subtle explicit jokes did not go unnoticed ahem ahem -.-
- Loki’s projections being a recurring theme throughout the whole movie from the start where he visit’s Thor in the contender’s holding area, “to try and help him” and Thor keeps throwing stuff through him because his brother won’t even try to come and meet him face to face (Korg attacking supposed ‘ghost’ was also adorable), to when Loki is chained up in Valkyrie’s room and Thor throws something at him (it hits him in the head) to check if he’s really present, to when they try to escape and Thor figures out the trick because Loki’s inherent selfishness tips him off, and finally the ending when Lokis shows up after throwing Surtur’s crown into the fire, Thor not even daring to believe his brother is there in the room, “I would hug you if you were here,” and he tosses something at supposed projection only to have Loki catch it, “I’m here”, that was a tender scene between the brothers and I love Taika all the more for executing it as such (he could easily have had Tom miss the object and allowed it to hit him but he kept the moment an intimate one, bless him for that)
- the classic “HE’S A FRIEND FROM WORK” and Loki’s face when he saw the Hulk, “I NEED TO GET OFF THIS PLANET” *flashbacks to PUNY GOD*
- Thor’s lightning being triggered by Odin and the Hulk’s punches though, the lightning is so flipping amazing and it’s honestly really cool to watch?????
- Bruce was the Hulk for TWO YEARS????? and Nat is the one to trigger the switch back (also his and Thor’s little frienship squabble was pretty cute, not to mention the Quinjet recognising Thor as POINTBREAK BAHAHAHA)
- Bruce in Tony’s clothes (can i get a little SCIENCE BROS up in here)
- Valkyrie and Bruce being so damn oblivious
- “Loki turned into a snake and I liked snakes and then he changed back into himself and stabbed me with a knife WHEN WE WERE EIGHT” and Loki still has the guts to smile, devious little bastard
- “Let’s do ‘GET HELP’!” “No, that’s embarrasing” proceed to Thor literally TOSSING Loki at the guards
- “It’s a leisure ship, the Grandmaster uses it for his orgys” oh lord bless me
- I don’t have much to say about Heimdall or Hela to be very honest, because we were only briefly introduced to Hela and Heimdall was barely touched on except as a fugitive getting the Asgardians to evacuate. Hela was mostly just stipulated as the villain and sister goddess, though her ability to produce swords continuously is fantastic and nicely presented
- Valkyrie’s past was cleverly dealt with instead of having a cheesy heart to heart, with Loki showcasing his magic abilities to pluck the memory from her mind and see for himself what really happened that turned her into a drunken scavenger
- Thor wanting to be a Valkyrie growing up then realising they were all women
- Bruce has 7 PhDs, good to know (none of them are for flying alien spacecraft though, also good to know)
- LOKI IS ACTUALLY RELATIVELY GOOD IN THIS ONE (although he does halt by the Tesseract and we all can guess that he takes it since he has it in Infinity War)
- Taika handled the missing Gauntlet fantastically with Hela tipping the relic over in Odin’s vault, calling it a fake, which alludes to the real one being missing, really nice segway right there (she also hovers by the Tesseract and recognises it’s power)
- Thor losing an eye, Loki thinking his new eye patch suits him and Hela saying he looks like their ‘dad’
- VENTRESS AKA THE REALLY CUTE AND SCARY GIANT WOLF THAT HELA CALLS HER PET IS SO COOL but also undead so yeah ....
- Asgard is a people (and Thor being their king, decides to take them to earth...)
- Ragnarok having a completely different meaning by the end of the film
- “Let me rephrase, how do you think the people will react to you bringing ME back?” “They wouldn’t be very pleased.” and cue what supposedly looks like a giant ass ship from Thanos
- second post credits scene was mostly for the laughs
- NO SOUL STONE IN THIS ONE FOLKS
- things were just a tad rushed in this one but the graphics and fight sequences were gracefully done and i’m satisfied

New Post has been published on http://www.lifehacker.guru/quick-guide-every-major-character-westworld/
A quick guide to every major character on 'Westworld'
Warning: Spoilers ahead for “Westworld” season two, episode two.
“Westworld” has more characters and storylines than the average viewer can keep up with, so we’ve assembled a handy character list for your Sunday nights. Here you’ll find all the significant hosts and employees of Westworld, and what they got up to on the first season.
We’ll update this slideshow as new characters are introduced each week, but for now the spoilers only cover through the first and second episodes of season two.
Let’s dive in.
View As: One Page Slides
First up — Dr. Robert Ford.
Played by Anthony Hopkins.
John P. Johnson/HBO
Ford was Westworld’s park director and one of its co-founders. The process for creating and programming the hosts is all based on his team’s original research conducted over 30 years ago.
On the first season finale, Ford was shot and killed by a host named Dolores.
Ford also build a young host-version of himself who lives in the park.
This is also Robert Ford.
HBO
This host speaks with a blend of Roberts old and young voice, and is coded to continue representing Ford in the park.
Dolores Abernathy is the oldest host in Westworld.
Played by Evan Rachel Wood.
HBO
Since she’s the oldest park host, that means Dolores was created over 35 years prior to the events in “Westworld.”
Stubbs says that she’s been updated so many times “she’s practically brand new.” Dolores was one of the first hosts to get close to sentience. By the end of the first season, it appeared as if she was finally self-aware when she shot and killed Ford.
Arnold was Ford’s original partner and co-creator of the hosts.
Arnold is played by Jeffrey Wright.
HBO
Arnold was the one who began experimenting with bootstrapping consciousness into the hosts. Dolores was his first test subject. He created a “maze” inside the park to help lead Dolores into self-awareness and to spur the creation of a subconscious mind in her.
He eventually decided Westworld shouldn’t open, because the hosts were starting to become sentient. Arnold programmed Dolores to kill all of the other hosts as well as himself in an effort to sabotage the park.
Bernard Lowe is a host Ford built in the image of Arnold.
Also played by Jeffrey Wright.
John P. Johnson/HBO
Bernard was Ford’s right-hand man, a host who is the the Head of Behavior and a programming specialist. Bernard was programmed to think he was human, but over the course of the first season he learned the truth.
Karl Strand is the head of operations at Delos.
Played by Guståf Skarsgard.
HBO
He’s a no-nonsense kind of man who was sent by the Delos company to fix the mess in the parks after Ford’s new bloody plot wreaked havoc.
Elsie Hughes is a Behavior Specialist who worked under Bernard Lowe.
Played by Shannon Woodward.
HBO
Elsie helps with coding, debugging, and processing the hosts as they receive updates. She was working with Bernard to investigate host glitches when she disappeared. Now we’re not sure where in the park she is, but we’re pretty sure she’s alive.
Antoine Costa is a technician who is not missing, but is helping Strand analyze the hosts in the field.
Played by Fares Fares.
John P. Johnson/HBO
He first appeared on the second season premiere, where he extracted a cortical storage device from a host and showed the Delos team the video footage kept there.
Ashley Stubbs is the Head of Security for Westworld.
Played by Luke Hemsworth.
John P. Johnson/HBO
Stubbs has a healthy level of skepticism when it comes to the hosts following their programming, and tends to take on potentially risky retrieval missions himself.
Maling in a new Delos security personnel character.
Played by Betty Gabriel.
John P. Johnson/HBO
She also first appeared on the opening episode of the second season, where she found Bernard and helped Strand keep the new system in order.
Lee Sizemore is the ambitious Head of Narrative at the parks.
Played by Simon Quarterman.
HBO
Most of the storylines and dialogue you see the hosts act out in the park are all Sizemore’s design and script. He was helping the Delos board smuggle data out of the park by the end of the first season.
Theresa Cullen was the Head of Quality Assurance.
Played by Sidse Babett Knudsen.
HBO
It was Cullen’s job to make sure the guests are happy and the hosts are behaving according to regulations. But Theresa was secretly helping the Delos board smuggle data out of the park.
Ford had Bernard kill Theresa on his orders and make the murder look like an accident.
Charlotte Hale is the executive director of Delos and Westworld’s board.
Played by Tessa Thompson.
John P. Johnson/HBO
Her friendly demeanor gives way to a stern and calculating woman who has been smuggling data out of the Westworld park. Though she hadn’t yet revealed specific details about the data on the first season, we’re sure her secrets will eventually come out.
Maeve Millay is one of the first newly sentient hosts in Westworld.
Played by Thandie Newton.
John P. Johnson/HBO
Maeve was the madam of the Marisposa — a saloon/brothel in Sweetwater. Now she’s the most powerful host in the park, and has the ability to control other hosts with voice commands.
Felix Lutz is one of the Livestock Management employees.
Played by Leonardo Nam.
HBO
It’s Felix’s job to patch up the hosts after they’ve been shot, stabbed, or otherwise incapacitated. But Felix “borrowed” a coding console from the behavior department and wound up helping Maeve change her core programming and enabling her to escape.
Sylvester is Felix’s partner in the Livestock Manufacturing lab.
Played by Ptolemy Slocum.
HBO
He had no patience for Felix’s experiment with coding, but was roped into the Maeve-escape plot after she threatened his life.
Clementine Pennyfeather was one of the host prostitutes working at the Mariposa under Maeve.
Played by Angela Sarafyan.
John P. Johsnon/HBO
She specialized in finding newcomers and welcoming them to Westworld. But after Charlotte and Theresa used Clementine as a scapegoat host in a failed experiment, Clementine was lobotomized.
Teddy Flood is another host with a troubled past and a penchant for gunslinging.
Played by James Marsden.
John P. Johnson/HBO
He often accompanies guests on bounty hunts, or tags along with his programmed love — Dolores. Teddy’s primary directive is finding and helping Dolores, though his good-natured side can be manipulated via coding.
Angela is a host we’ve seen in two roles — a greeter for new guests and as a henchman for Dolores.
Played by Talulah Riley.
John P. Johnson/HBO
She’s one of the oldest hosts in the park, along with Dolores and Teddy. She’s currently acting as a rallying point for the other rebelling hosts who will support Dolores (as “Wyatt”).
Akecheta is another of the original hosts in the park.
Played by Zahn McClarnon.
HBO
He went with Angela to first pitch Westworld to Logan Delos.
Major Craddock is another host, though his current role is as a dangerous leader in the Confederado.
Played by Jonathan Tucker.
HBO
We saw this host first appear at the party with Angela and Akecheta, but he was without a mustache then. Later, Dolores meets this host while he’s in his solider narrative.
Logan Delos is a powerful businessman who was looking to increase his company’s stake in Westworld.
Played by Ben Barnes.
John P. Johnson/HBO
Logan is an ambitious and impetuous bad boy who loves indulging in his vices while visiting Westworld. The scenes featuring Logan on the first season all took place around 30 years prior to “current day” on “Westworld.”
James Delos is Logan’s father and the titan of industry.
Played by Peter Mullan.
HBO
James is a no-nonsense man who seems impatient with his son. But James’ daughter, Juliet is dating another promising young man.
William is Logan’s future brother-in-law and his coworker.
Played by Jimmi Simpson.
HBO
William came to the park with Logan to celebrate their future lives as in-laws. But by the time they left, William decided to usurp Logan’s role in the company and go work with James directly.
The Man in Black is William, but in “present day.”
Played by Ed Harris.
John P. Johsnon/HBO
William transformed into the Man in Black by the end of the first season. By current day on the show, William is one of the most powerful Delos board members. His wife (Logan’s sister) has committed suicide, and after their daughter blamed William for her death he returned to Westworld to confront his demons.
Juliet is Logan’s sister and James’ daughter, and eventually William’s wife.
Played by Claire Unabia.
HBO
Juliet marries William and they have a daughter, Emily, together.
Lawrence/El Lazo is a host who spent most of season one with William.
Played by Clifton Collins Jr.
John P. Johnson/HBO
He’s referred to by other hosts as an outlaw due to his criminal group run under the name El Lazo. Lawrence is a sardonic host who often winds up tagging along with William on his dangerous adventures.
Hector Escaton is the “bad boy” host of Westworld .
Played by Rodrigo Santoro.
HBO
Hector is a bandit who travels with a group of loyal followers and periodically tries to rob the Mariposa Saloon. He teamed up with Maeve after she showed him the truth about how the park works and their role in it.
Armistice is Hector’s host companion and fellow gunslinger.
Played by Ingrid Bolsø Berdal.
HBO
Armistice has a deadly shot and a gigantic snake tattoo covering her body — the relic of a tormented past. She also joined Maeve’s escape mission and is becoming more self aware.
