There was a lot going on in that episode.
First, Bew's dealing with finding out that everyone close to him was manipulating him. And yet he still was laying on the floor with Toon? And then chose to stay with her even though they don't have a contract, so he didn't need to. And he mentioned how it was stupid of him not to have a contract with her, but still didn't make one?
And we went from Bew feeling completely, justifiably betrayed, refusing to trust Gus, and even fighting him physically (although that was after the sex tape situation, but still speaks to the lack of trust) to Bew getting Gus to agree to leave their managers together and getting back together romantically.
This actually made me kind of suspicious of Bew. Bew made it clear that what the three of them did changed him. He's never going to be the innocent, optimistic, trusting person again. So it felt like too quick of a turn around. And then when he quoted what Toon said to him about Pla to Bew about both Toon and Pla, that felt very calculated to me.
And when he said it'll never be the same between them, but it'll be even better, half of me was dying with sad cuteness and half of me felt like when TV characters say, I hope you get everything you deserve…
And then there's the moms/managers really making their kids/clients feed good.
Pla to Gus: You are a product on a shelf, and you are in jeopardy of expiring, son.
Toon to Bew: You can sell yourself with Gus or you can sell papaya salad, sweetie.
I want to believe P showed up purely to give Bew his support, but it just seemed suspicious and calculated. And popping up after we saw the Gossip XOXO account seems to indicate that he's behind that account. But maybe that's a red herring. It was nice to see P, though.
And all this isn't even touching on Bew and Gus having separate scandals within this episode.
My biggest questions are 1) Why would Toon show Bew the clip of his leaked sex tape while he was doing a live?!?
And 2) Is no one concerned that Gus was somehow DRUGGED between being in his apartment and arriving at the house where he was framed? Maybe Toon did that, but no one else seemed to be worried or even know that happened!
I don't know why Bew's reaction here made me suspicious, but it did.
I did love how they were like, it's time to enact the Evil Plan! And that plan is leaving their manipulative, abusive managers. Also did not believe Bew's tears for a second. But also why would Toon and Pla fight in front of Bew and Gus's fans?
Then there's these dramatic clowns.
And this was sweet to end on, until the phone started ringing ominously. I don't know who was calling or if they were calling Bew or Gus. But it cannot be good.
And have this screenshot too because i loved this shot. Bew was posting dramatically on social media sitting in the same room as Gus, but so far apart. And Gus was just about to go talk to him when P walked in and interrupted.
