Hi, my name is rachii. just your average ADHD ridden young woman who loves video games and tons of other things! I'm a self taught roleplayer and recovering fanfiction writer who's been harassed over what I ship, and how I portrayed a certain character on an rping site.

My brother and I were born prematurely, so I have developmental issues, like a horrible math disability, ADHD, vision impairment, and processing issues. Growing up, I didn't really connect with other girls my age, because I had different interests, and in turn was bullied when I was a child and in high school, so that severely damaged my self esteem into adulthood.
I thought everything would be fine, and that I could make friends, and yes, I do have friends online, but I ended up getting harassed/bullied/witch hunted just last year ( 2023 ) on an RP site where I has roleplayed as my version of Volo from Pokemon Legends Arceus.
This annoying clique decided that I was a threat and a pedophile when all I did was roleplay canon Volokari ( Volo x Akari) with another person. And they said they had evidence against me, but in character RPs don't count as concrete evidence. And then, they started telling people new to the verse to block/report my profile, and to stay away from me.
All I ever wanted was to RP in a place without judgement, but I couldn't even do that. And the worst part? There was a user who ran in their circles and I never knew. Before all of this drama occurred, we RPed together and were pretty chill, but apparently she lied, and said she was never my friend. That betrayal hurt. So yeah, after going through something like that, I’m obviously gonna have trust issues.
As for my personality, I'm soft and quiet and sometimes I'm very weird bc of my ADHD, but I usually am very cheerful and a sweet person who just wants attention, but at the same time, is scared of opening up due to past negative experiences. I'm also incredibly very sensitive, and cry easily in some situations.

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Thanks....
ooh this is a tough one! this list is not an objective ranking, my fave characters shuffle up and down depending on what sort of media i’m into at the moment^^
elliot alderson (mr robot): he’s so driven and determined but makes so many mistakes. he goes through wonderful character development and i love his process of working through his trauma.
lelouch (code geass): the original magnificent bastard. some people think he’s a bit extra or too overpowered, but that’s kind of the appeal of lelouch. he’s such a...rootable character? you always kind of want to see what he’s gonna do next and how he’s gonna win.
xie lian (heaven official’s blessing): he’s not the character archetype i normally like but i love how he clings onto this core of kindness despite how awful his life has been and ultimately that kindness is what saves him!
qi yan (clear and muddy loss of love): again, another intelligent manipulative character who has to balance love and revenge. i love that she gets the whole count of monte cristo treatment, in infiltrating a family and carrying out revenge, and her constant struggle between attaining revenge and loving jingnu is just...really satisfying(?) to read.
jaime lannister (asoiaf): his arc in the books is still my favourite part of asoiaf. i love his journey from someone who’s apathetic and ready to do awful things to preserve his position to someone who’s not a good person but is trying to be better. the chapters where he loses his hand and tries to cope are still some of my all-time fave book scenes.
kurapika (hunter x hunter): ahaha i think he’s like...the third revenge seeker on this list? just like qi yan i like his struggle between revenge and moving on. i like how logical and single-minded he is (and his powers are so cool)
azula (atla): she’s been one of my favourite characters for nearly....ten years now? maybe ever since i first watched avatar as a kid. i just latched onto her immediately. i love her duality of being this ruthless badass prodigy and also a fourteen year old girl who’s kind of socially awkward and doesn’t know how to interact in terms not related to warfare or hierarchy. forever mad that she got put into an asylum(!) in the comics.
catra (she-ra): she’s so messed up and she hurts everyone around her because of it and i loved that she got a happy ending in the end.
laurent (captive prince): he can be so manipulative and ruthless and i love that he can also be caring when his defense mechanisms are down.
izaya (durarara): he’s so awful and so unapologetic about it? and whenever he appears in the narrative you know something chaotic and hilarious or horrible is about to happen.

Underrated Anime Part 1:
Hello my fellow Weebs, I’m back for some more Anime blogging, this time to talk about so not so well known ones. Some that have got forgotten with time, some that new Anime fans have maybe never heard of and the ones that I feel deserve more love and recognition. I’ve been watching Anime for about 13 years so I’ve seen a lot so this will be in at least 3 parts, so hopefully you like this and look forward to more. Til then enjoy, hope you can find some new anime you’ve never heard of thanks for reading and look forward to part 2!.
1. Azumanga Daioh(2002)
Starting off with an older Anime, and one of the best and earlier comedy, slice of life Anime that paved the way for a lot of other Anime in the same genre like Nichijou and Daily Lives of High School Boys. Off the wall and highly unrealistic, this comedy is completely over the top in the best way possible. it’s old but gold and should be crowned as one of the best comedy Anime to exist.
With the most lovable cast, you have Chiyo the 5th grader who is so crazy smart she gets placed in a high school class, then there’s Osaka, who’a real name is Ayumu Kasuga who’s named that because she‘s from Osaka. Osaka isn’t the smartest and neither is her other classmate Tomo Takino who will do anything to avoid studying. Then to balance out the cast is Koyomi Mizuhara aka Yomi, the smart one who keeps everyone in line and Kagura the sporty one. Then of course can’t forget to mention the teachers Yukari Sensei who is anything but the normal responsible teacher and to balance her out Minamo Sensei the responsible one. There’s no real plot with Azumanga Daioh but there’s not meant to be it’s just an over the top comedy slice of life, with moments that will make you laugh from your gut. It’s all about the characters and the ridiculous situations their put in and each one is a lovable idiot that really drives the show. Give this one a shot if you want a show that will put a big smile on your face the whole way through.
2. Eden of The East (2009)
Another older Anime, not everything on this list will be older Anime but there’s so many good ones like this!. Eden of The East is an action, mystery with elements of romance with one of the most unique stories I’ve seen in Anime. It’s a short watch being only eleven episodes with two movies following after which I recommend watching because they continue the story. I’m really surprised not more people know or talk about this show but it need to be talked about more!.
With one of the funniest and most bizarre starts to an Anime, our lead charcter Saki is on a trip to Washington D.C, when she gets in trouble for throwing a coin in the White House’s fountain she’s saved by a naked man who claims to be a terrorist. Not only is this mysterious man naked and claims to be a terrorist, he also has amnesia and is carrying a phone with 8.2 million dollars. Saki befriends this strange man and throughout the story they try to uncover more of his past, his involvment in an incident called careless monday and a dangerous death game with other players. They must also spend all of the money as instucted by the mysterious voice in the phone Juiz as well as try to save the world.
3. R.O.D The TV( 2003)
Ok I know I said this list wouldn’t only be older Anime but I guess the older Anime just has my heart and this one has a special place in mine. One of my all time favorites and one of the earliest Anime I saw and it still holds up to me til this day. It is hands down probably the most underrated show on this entire list and if you only watch one of these Anime please make it this one. The story is completely original, the characters are complex and endearing, there’s action, heartwarming moments, comedy and mystery, I wish there was more Anime like it, it deserves to be a classic.
It‘s a one of a kind show about the paper sisters Michelle, the oldest bubbly bookworm, Maggie the seemingly intimidating quiet giant. Then you have the youngest sister Anita who unlike her sisters hates books, she’s a bit rough around the edges but loves her sisters. Although they aren’t actually sisters they have a detective agency to help find lost books to help pay for rent while also doing odd jobs like being body guards. Their first assignment is to protect the author, Nenene Sumiragawa who is being threatened to be killed at her book signing. The paper sisters aren’t called that just because of their love of books, they can turn paper into weapons and whatever else they please, but each having their speciality. Nenene finds out they‘re paper sisters just like her friend who ‘s missing, Yomiko Readman and asks them for help finding her. They try to help Nenene find her friend, while solving other cases and saving the world with the power of paper.
4. Baccano(2007)
Probably the most well known but also I think one of the most under appreciated Anime, from Durarara’s creator, Baccano. I feel like most newer Anime fans won’t know this one and although it’s a beloved series by many, I still feel it’s underrated. Also another bias opinion shocker, it’s one of my absolute favorites but that’s why it’s here. It’s once again a shorter anime with only 13 episodes but it somehow manages to combine all of the storylines cohesively, it’s a wild ride full of mystery, murder, and magic that will keep you on board the entire time trying to piece everything together. Also warning it jumps around a lot so make sure to pay attention everything pieces together!.
Based in the 1930’s in the prohibition era you have several stories involving different characters going on but they‘re all connected to one thing the transcontinental train, the flying pussyfoot. Yes that’s actually the name of the train, why, still no idea but all these characters from different walks of life end up here somehow. Now to introduce some of these crazy characters, first off the goofy thieves in love Isaac and Miria, who aren’t the brightest but can steal just about anything. Lad Russo the sadistic hit man who loves to see people die, including fantasizing about killing his fiancé one day. Then you have the ones involved in gangs, all In different ones, but nonetheless involved in some sort of crime. First there’s Firo, the youngest of the Martello family and one of the immortals in the show, then there’s Jacuzzi Splot and his partner Nice, Jacuzzi is a big wimp and crybaby but will protect his loved ones with all he’s got and Nice is a bomb expert and his childhood food. Those are some of the main characters it’s such a large cast it’s hard to name and explain them all. This one is a must watch especially if you liked Durarara, jump on the hype train of this wild show.
5. Black Cat (2005)
Now quick disclaimer before I begin talking about this one, I haven’t watched this in years so it may not hold up as well as I’m remembering but when I watched it I really enjoyed it so that’s why it’s here. This was one of the earlier Anime I watched I’m pretty sure my friend showed me it but it caught my interest from the beginning. It’s not the most groundbreaking show to exist and I’ve heard that the manga is apparently better but that’s for almost every show. It’s got cool action, funny moments and a great cast of characters, plus not gonna lie I had a crush on train when I was younger. its just a fun show and definitely worth giving a watch!
Train Heartnett is an infamous cold blooded assassin who works for the organization Chronos, and because of his lack of empathy for killing he’s named Black Cat. But after a chance encounter with a bou hunter named Saya Minatsuki, they become friends and Train decided he wants to leave Chronos to pursue an honest living as a bounty Hunter. However chronos and particular his fellow member Creed Diskenth are not pleased with this and try to get Train to rejoin Chronos. Along the way Train teams up with fellow bounty hunter on the brink of broke Sven, the bio mech weapon and little girl Eve and master thief and seductress Rinslet Walker. Together they try to escape from Chronos and get enough money for their next .
6. Arakawa Under The Bridge(2010)
Where do I begin with this one first off, this is one of the weirdest Anime I’ve ever seen but just like Azumanga Daioh that’s what make it so good. Beautifully animated by Studio Shaft with some of the most colorful and visually appealing animation I’ve seen, it’s pure eye candy. it’s equally as strange as it is hilarious and it’s just a fun time that’s not meant to be taken seriously. So if you want a good laugh and something thats truly one of a kind in story and characters give this crazy show a shot.
The show begins with one of our main characters Kou Ichinomiya getting stuck by his underwear on a bridge by some kids, he falls into the river and is saved by a mysterious girl. Kou is the son of a wealthy businessman and his life motto is to not be indebted to anyone, so when he’s saved by this girl he asks what he can do. He finds out that her name is Nino and what she wants is to fall in love, so she asks Kou to be her boyfriend. At first Nino seems like a regular girl but she claims to be an alien from Venus and lives in a box under the bridge, not wanting to be in debt Kou agrees and begins living under the bridge with Nino. However Nino isn’t the only one who lives under the bridge there are many other strange characters like hoshi, the aspiring musician who wears a star on his head, and the captain who’s a human in a kappa suit. I highly suggest watching this strange sci-fi romantic comedy for something different and fun to watch.
7. 91 Days (2016)
The newest Anime on this list so far, see I told you it wouldn’t be only old ones!, this is also the darkest Anime on this list so far. This has been highly overlooked since it’s release in 2016, it reminds me of baccano and in parts like death note. If you like mafia movies or just a dark gritty story with some light hearted moments, it s short show but nothing is rushed and it’s solid from front to back and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Just like Baccano, 91 Days takes place in the prohibition era in a town called Lawless where crime is rampant and illegal alcohol sales are thriving. In this town our protagonist Aviicio‘s family is killed by one of the mafia families, The Vanetti Family. He receives a mysterious anonymous letter telling him to return to lawless to infiltrate The Vanetti Family. He tries to befriend the families son Nero, to find an opportunity for revenge, the story keep you constantly guessing if they’ve truly become friends or if he’ll kill him. Please watch this wonderful mafia crime drama of friend vs foe.
8. Yamada Kun and The Seven Witches (2015)
This is one of the ones that I still really want to read the manga for because I just couldn’t get enough of it! i’m still hoping for a sequel one day! The premise of body swapping has been done many times in Anime and cinema as a whole but this one adds a unique enough of a twist to keep it fresh and interesting. I looked forward to watching this weekly each week meeting a learning about each new witch and learning what power they had.
Ryuu Yamada is a high school delinquent who wants a fresh start at a new school, despite the intention to start with a clean slate he soon falls into old habits of laziness and getting into fights. One day he trips on the stairs which leads to an accidental kiss with fellow student Urarara Shiraishi which causes them to switch bodies. Another student Toranosuke Miyamura learns that they can switch bodies and recruits them to his Supernatural Studies club. There they learn about the other seven witches that all have different powers
9. Arslan Senki (2015-2016)
The second to last of the list comes from the creator of my all time favorite Anime Fullmetal Alchemist, while it’s a very different series and not quite as good as FMA it’s still deserves a spot on this list and deserves your time. It’s hard not to compare it to FMA but it really is it’s own thing, and it actually came out before Fullmetal, it’s a historical drama about war and strategy and a character growing into his potential. Just as Hiromu Arakawa is known for there’s still some comedic moments and some great character development and a well done story, Plus if you like this there’s two seasons so there more to enjoy.
Ok I promise from this point forward I won‘t say anything more about Fullmetal Alchemist this is about Arslan Senki, here’s the story. In the year 320 the Kingdom of Pars is at war with the neighboring kingdom Lusitania. Pars is ruled by the ruthless king Andrangoras III who has a son who’s the complete opposite of him Arslan. Although he doesn’t know how to fight Arslan tries to prove his worth by joining the battle, but things take a turn for the worst when one of the kings officials betrays him. The once prosperous Kingdom of Pars is seized, and since Arslan is the kings son he must flee to avoid capture. So he sets off with his loyal bodyguard Daryun to find allies to help take back the kingdom. Knowing that Arslan is still alive he is still faced with pursuers from other kingdoms and the head of the Lusitania army, a mysterious man with a silver mask who knows a secret that could jeopardize Arslan‘s succession to the throne. Arslan is a gentle, kind person that doesn’t enjoy fighting, he must learn to fight and protect himself and gain the courage to lead an army to regain his home.
10. Shingeki No Bahamut: Genesis (Rage of Bahamut) (2014)
Leaving one of the best for last, not to be confused with the popular series with a similar name Shingeki no Kyojin(Attack on Titan) this show is just as good. One of the first shows from one of my favorite Anime studios, Studio Mappa. I had low expectations when I heard this was a card game adaptation from a new anime studio but I decided to check it out despite that and it was the best decision. This has all the elements of a great anime, the beautiful animation, the unique characters and the compelling story and all the cool action scenes are just a plus. There is a second season too but I’ll leave that for another time, ok time to stop gushing about this wonderful show, time for the story!.
Years and years ago the ancient powerful dragon Bahamut reeked havoc on Mistarcia, a land where gods and demons lived harmoniously with humans. The gods and demons manage to seal away Bahamut with the god key and agree to split it to keep him sealed. Now that the the peace has been restored we meet the main characters and one of my favorites the orange Afro haired bounty hunters Favaro Leone. Favaro is constantly on the run from his adversary and fellow bounty hunter Kaiser Lidfard who‘s main purpose in life is to get revenge on him. One day both of their lives are thrown into chaos when they meet the mysterious girl Amira who holds half of the god key sealing Bahamut and wants help reaching the land of Helheim. I also can’t forget to mention my other favorite character and the fourth member of this unlikely crew Rita the zombie necromancer little girl she is just the definition of cool. Then there’s the characters that want to steal the god key the demon Azazel and the knight Jean D’Arc who are constantly in the characters way but you’ll find out more about them in the show. These unlikely heroes must face the threat of the battle of gods and demons, the pursuers of the god key and incoming threat of Bahamut awakening.

Butterfly Soup Trivia - Extra Details
This one will cover details about the work behind Butterfly Soup!
When creating the game, Brianna used different pitches for characters so the player can tell who is speaking.
Brianna wanted to share messages such as: It's okay to be a mess, you deserve to be happy, et cetera. She also wanted to share that sometimes friends "are your real family."
For more specific details about the game, Brianna used her own experiences, her friends, and the Internet. For example, she researched if Min-seo and Jun-seo were convincing matching names for twins, and then asked a Korean friend for her opinion. Noelle picking out sausages for Diya was something she saw because she grew up with Hindu friends. Diya's feelings of feeling shorter than Noelle is like Brianna feeling taller than her childhood friend who is now 5'8. The pronunciation of tandoori was something her Indian friend taught her friend group in high school. The "madrasi" exchange between Diya and Akarsha was from a Facebook exchange.
A lot of the game came from personal experience. In high school, her friends did the Valentine's Day prank on a friend every year (the friend wasn't like Akarsha). Like Noelle, Brianna's best friend had a crush on her archnemesis. She also had two friends who had no interest in each other but interacted (and later became friends) because they both liked her.
Brianna decided to have Min and Noelle's parents shadowed because of the "huge gulf they have between themselves and their parents cultural differences" while still having power over them. And also because it saved time of drawing different facial expressions.
The initial version of the game would have been in Diya's point-of-view the entire time.
The initial version of the game had its conflict between Diya and Min because of Min somehow accidentally hurting Diya and felt guilty. Because Brianna had a hard time making it sound convincing, she found Min and Noelle drama to make more sense.
The initial version of the game had Akarsha and Noelle as supporting characters. Because of their strong personalities, they became main characters like Diya and Min.
The idea of baseball in Butterfly Soup came suddenly. Brianna's baseball knowledge came from the few times she played it during gym class or when she watched movies and sports anime.
Brianna first created Diya and Min during a winter break in college (2014). She did not start officially working on the game until much later. Because most of the time was spent drawing art and figuring out how to make the game work, she notes she only has to do about 25% as much work for the sequel.
Noelle normally wears a surgical mask to prevent contaminating others, but Brianna could not put it in the game because "blocking the lower half of her face made her look less expressive."
Brianna had trouble naming Butterfly Soup. The original title was "Queen of Diamonds" because she liked the pun of diamond/DiyaMin. She changed it because: the tag was filled with Marina & the Diamonds, people could misremember it easily, and it made it sound like Diya and Min were more important than Noelle and Akarsha.
Brianna was inspired by "the feeling growing up that there wasn't any media out there made with [her] in mind." She wanted to focus on relationships between South and East Asian characters being friends with one another, especially because it is a huge aspect of her daily life that is missing from a lot of stories. Due to that lack of representation—even when making Butterfly Soup—she thought "Is it realistic for that mix of people to be friends?" despite her childhood being that.
Brianna decided to use the font Myriad for dialogue. The font for the character labels and menu is a modified form of Yunus that Brianna edited by hand. The fonts are included in the game download files.
Brianna planned on making the sprites blink in the game.
The game is set in Fall 2008 (when the characters are in high school), but references things much later. Examples include a Durarara reference and memes. The IGF trailer was also modern-day because it broke the fourth wall.
Brianna wanted to add 90s and early 00s hits in the game for nostalgia, thus making the experience even more "surreal." Examples include Complicated, Rock Your Body, Dilemma, etc.
Brianna referenced Akarsha's surprised sprite off of Trucy's surprised sprite from Ace Attorney. (You can see it in AA4, Apollo Justice.)
Brianna wondered if she should have made the main characters older, but is happy she kept them at 14. She thinks that "a lot of people in their 20s instinctively feel 14 is too young because they've forgotten what they themselves were like at 14."
Brianna did not design a backpack for Min knowing that she would not wear it.
Brianna did not plan on the characters' names spelling words, but noticed it early on. For example: Diya, Akarsha, Min, and Noelle spells DAMN; Yuki, Ester, and Sakura spells YES; and although Chryssa and Liz don't spell anything, it can make chrysalis.

Oh, Lord! The sarcasm!
Both of y'all are very sarcastic individuals, but this boy takes things to the next level. You know those times when you just can’t deal with anything; let alone someone’s sarcastic ass comments? Yeah, Well, Karma likes to go over that line, at times. His reasoning...You look fucking hot when you get mad. He knows you tend to be a little bit of a hot head and he loves to push you to that limit. Not all the time, though. And, he knows not to push it too hard. He just loves seeing your fiery side come out.
He’s able to easily pull you out of your moods by simply making a sarcastic joke. You’d have the most annoyed face on, but as soon as the joke leaves his lips you try your damnedest to try to suppress your laugh. It never works, though.
He loves making you laugh...And, making you angry. Lol. Did I mention he finds you hot when you’re mad? But, don’t worry he’d never make you cry.
If you’re having a bad day he’s right there pulling you into his arms for a hug. He doesn’t like seeing you sad or upset. And, babe, you can bet if it was a person who made you upset he’d do something about it. He’s not letting that person get away with hurting you. “They’ll never bother you again, Ivy. I promise.”
You guys are both pretty laid-back so I see you guys down to do pretty much anything together. Wanna watch anime? He’s right there with some snacks. Feeling artsy? He’s down. He’s actually quite intrigued by your glass paintings, tbh. He loves watching the whole process. It’s very relaxing. Plus, there’s just something about watching you in your element. You seem so happy and at peace with the world in those moments.
A surprising activity the two of y'all do together is makeovers. He’ll gladly offer himself as your model. You wanna do his makeup and hair? Go right ahead. He finds the whole thing actually pretty relaxing and plus he’s not gonna lie...He looks hot AF all made up. It’s not unusual to see him checking himself out in the mirror once you’re done. He feels like a model. And, if you’re a good girl, he’ll put on a little fashion show for you.
Study dates!
Everyday after school you’ll go over to each other’s houses and work on homework/study. I mean Karma’s a smart guy, but he can be a little lazy, at times. So, don’t be surprised if y’all end up making out instead. Tbh, it’s hard to study whenever you’re around, but he’d never admit to that.
PDA:
He loves to hold your hand, fingers intertwined, as you guys walk. The warmth of your hand against his just does something to him. He feels so happy and at peace.
Piggyback rides! Karma’s got a playful side, so I definitely see piggyback rides being a thing between the two of you.
Also, this man checks you out ALL the time. Sometimes he’ll be sly and sneaky about it, but a majority of the time you’ll just blatantly stare at you with a smirk etched on his face.
Hugs with karma are warm and tight. He loves to grab you by the waist and pull you into his chest as he rests his head on top of yours. Just don’t be expecting to leave his embrace anytime soon. You’re going to be stuck in his arms for a while, js.
Now kisses...babe...Kisses with Karma are passionate and playful. You can expect playful nips at your lips and even some along your neck. And, he LOVES to leave hickies on your neck. He’s a bit possessive and loves to show others that you belong to him.
Speaking of which, a jealous Karma is a little scary. Lol. God bless the sorry soul who was flirting with you. We all know that crazy look Karma gets in his eye. If you can it’s best to pull Karma away from the person before he has a chance to do anything. Because, he will. When Karma sees someone hitting on you, especially if they’re particularly persistent, he just sees red. So, unless you want to help hide the body it’s best to just drag him away from the situation as fast as possible.
Now, don’t think you’ll get away unscathed. Oh, no, no. You can expect that boy is going to pin you down and make sure you know who you belong to.
Just know he trusts you wholeheartedly, it’s other people he doesn’t trust. You’re his and his alone.
My Hero Academia
Keigo Takami (Hawks)

Keigo is a sarcastic, smart-ass, but you're able to dish it right back at him. He’s never been more attracted to you like he is in these moments. God, when you roast him, he loves it. Nothing gets him more riled up than your sass.
You guys also make a pretty great team. I mean the both of you never second guess your choices, which is vital when being a hero, and y’all just have a very great dynamic going on. There’s so many partners who have contrasting personalities and end up butting heads when it really counts. Y'all aren’t like that. With a similar thought process you guys bounce ideas off each other with ease.
When chilling out together you guys tend to end up watching TV or playing video games. He’s also gotten into a few anime shows because of you. He’s really into ‘Durarara!!’, atm.
He, himself, isn’t very artistic, but he loves to watch you draw & paint. If you ever want to draw him he’d be very down with it. Lol. Just don’t expect him not to get a little playful with it.
Keigo actually has a bass guitar so I see the two of you having little jam sessions together. Whether you guys play similar music or not, you guys are always learning to play new pieces and playing them for each other.
Like Karma, I see Keigo down with getting a makeover from you. You wanna go all out on him? Go ahead. Hell, he’ll even let you take a picture of him all dolled up afterwards.
Dates with Keigo are usually stay-at-home events or to the arcade, movies, or amusement park. He’s pretty laid-back and is down for anything as long as his with you.
You craving food at 12am? He’s down to make a food run. What do you want?
Also, I feel like he’d own a motorcycle. I see y’all going on night rides together. The adrenaline from the motorcycle and the feeling of your arms wrapped around his waist is absolute euphoria to him. These moments are his favorite, hands down.
PDA:
This man LOVES to cuddle. So, don’t be surprised if you often find yourself wrapped up in his arms. He sees you as his personal teddy bear. You’re warm, soft, and smell great. Why wouldn’t he want to snuggle with you?
Kisses with Keigo are passionate and somewhat lazy. He often pulls you into kisses as he wraps his arms around your waist. Slow, lazy kisses are his go to, but he likes to mix it up every now and then and surprise you with a really intense breath-taking kiss.
He’s a tease in every sense of the word. You can expect wandering hands when you’re around him, ex. surprise butt/boob grabs when cuddling/kissing or when leaning into a kiss he’ll swerve on you at the last minute. Just little things like that.
When Keigo gets jealous he’ll simply walk over to you and wrap an arm around your shoulder and pull you in close to him. He may be a crowd favorite, but he does have a very intimidating presence to him so whoever was flirting with you instantly gets the message.
Now, if you were ever to get attacked by villains you can bet he’s not holding back. As soon as he gets you out of harm’s way he’s going in for the kill. It takes a lot for him to get very angry, but hurting you drives him feral every time.

My Review of Trigun
How did I get into this anime? Let’s just say this was one of those animes that used to air on Saturday nights back in the day that I would every now and then come across while waiting for either Full Metal Alchemist, InuYasha, or Cowboy Bebop to air. But I never did watch a full episode or know a damn thing about this anime. So I’m just jumping into this anime blindfolded. All I know is that this was Johnny Yong Bosch’s first anime role.
Who is Vash the Stampede?
A frequent question that comes up throughout the series! Rumor has it that he wears a long, red trench coat and sports a Mohawk hairstyle. Some say he’s a notorious lecher. Many recount him shooting up their villages to a pile of rubble just for the heck of it. He has quite the reputation as he has a $$60,000,000,000 bounty on his head and is often known as the “Humanoid Typhoon”.
In reality, Vash the Stampede is…a bit of a dingus. He just happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and things kinda get out of hand. But that doesn’t stop two insurance agents (Milly Thompson and Meryl Stryfe) from following him around to confirm Vash’s identity and keep his actions to a minimum. At first, it’s hard to tell if he’s a stupid-genius or just flighty and gets lucky one too many times. But when shit goes down, don’t be surprised when you see this doofus get serious.
BETWEEN THE SUB AND THE DUB: Okay, what sad company did this use to belong to, Geneon, Bandai, or ADV Films? Oh, Geneon! That means good voice actors from L.A. put in really shitty roles. On the contrary, this was a fairly decent English dub. And on a severely positive note, this was indeed Johnny Yong Bosch’s very first anime role (and a main role at that). This was like fresh off his time as a Power Ranger! And I gotta give props for giving this guy a chance at voice acting. This role was the launching point to what has been a very successful career for Bosch. As for the sub, let’s just say I’m happy any time I get to hear Hiromi Tsuru in something besides Dragon Ball. Here’s what you might recognize these folks from.

FAVORITE CHARACTER: Milly! I don’t need a reason, it’s Milly!
SHIPPING: I didn’t really start thinking about shipping until more than halfway into this series. I thought there might be something between Vash and Meryl, but then again maybe not! Then I saw the backstory of Vash’s “younger days” and falling for the one woman who showed him compassion.
Yes, this is the same woman we consistently see in Vash’s flashbacks, Rem. Ooh boy, it’s one of those stories! So yeah, never mind my thinking with Vash x Meryl ever happening. I feel like Vash will mourn Rem’s death for a long time that I don’t think the whole thing with Meryl will ever work.
And as for Wolfwood x Milly…
FUUUUUUUCK! WHY DID YOU RUIN THIS CUTE COUPLE?!
MILLY WAS HEART-BROKEN!
…At least she got to have one night of passion with Wolfy-boy before the unthinkable happened.
THAT DARN CAT: If you watched this series, you might have noticed a little black cat spotted in nearly every episode. It’s there in the opening theme. It’s there in random places throughout the series. It’s there in the ending theme. What’s up with this cat? Well, there are a lot of theories surrounding this particular cat (or Kuroneko). Some say it’s really Rem inside that cat since you see it in literally every episode around Vash. Others say it’s because the creator of Trigun wanted to just mess with your minds with the kitty walking around in random places and towns. Seriously, it will always appear in every new town Vash and the gang comes across! As an avid cat enthusiast, I’m fine with whatever the result. Just as long as no harm comes to the little Kuroneko.
HALFWAY POINT: Halfway into the series we notice something more when it comes to Mr. Vash the Stampede. First of all, those horrifying scars all over his body! Second, that mysterious girl he often thinks about. I mean, we see flashes of her in the opening sequence. And third, the reason why he never kills. Vash has the ability of causing so much damage when pushed to a breaking point. One of the many reasons why he’s known as the “humanoid typhoon”! And that was perfectly shown when Vash chases the residents out of a town (so there would be no casualties), totally demolished the town during a fight, and made an indent on the moon!
But the story takes a sharp-left turn into WTF territory when we learn about WHAT exactly Vash is. Vash is a plant. Vash also has a brother named Knives. And while Vash has a mentality that all beings have a right to live, Knives has a “kill them all and let God sort them out” point of view. Now the existence of Vash and Knives came with a lot of controversy, especially in the ship that they were on. But that girl who Vash cares for, Rem cared for them regardless of what they were. Rem had high hopes for a peaceful world with coexistence. Too bad Knives had other motives and killed her.
ENDING TO TV SERIES: Vash has tried so hard to keep Milly, Meryl, and Wolfwood out of harm’s way. He knows there are some pretty bad people after him, including his polar-opposite brother, Knives. Vash hates death and wants to save as many people as humanly possible. He doesn’t want to see any more needless death. Probably from his flashbacks and losing Rem! Unfortunately, this doesn’t go so well.
I can see how iconic this death was now after witnessing it. Wolfwood, the priest who would hook up with Vash every now and then when they’re up against some ruffians, now finds himself in a crucial decision. He gets orders that he must eliminate Vash. And Wolfwood ends up dying instead in a very dramatic death scene. God-damn! And just that scene where Milly is sobbing freakin’ eats you up inside.
At least she had one night of passion before the unfortunate happened!
Vash hates the thought of having to kill anyone. But he might not have a choice if Knives is coming after him and even hires a powerful foe from a previous episode and the guy that killed Wolfwood to take you out. Once Vash met up with Knives, he winds up having some pretty sick flashbacks of Knives. But our homeboy was able to take out Knives, the desert area gets water, and…
I’m gonna have to read the fucking manga for more, right?
Tap dancing fuck!
BADLANDS RUMBLE: 12 years after the series ended, Japan decides to release a side-story in the form of a movie, bringing back our favorite characters like Vash, Wolfwood, Milly, and Meryl. And yes, reuniting the cast…in Japan.
By 2010, Geneon was as good as dead and FUNimation licensed Trigun. In short, they managed to get Johnny Young Bosch to reprise his role as Vash the Stampede. But everyone else was replaced. And surprisingly, the people they got to do Wolfwood and Milly were pretty freakin’ close to their original voices. Meryl’s voice, come on I know Luci Christian any-damn-where! Vash helps a young lady take out a big-bad guy (who turns out to be his father). And it has the feel of the original series where it’s set in a western town with lots of booze and shoot-em-ups! It’s an interesting side-story to the Trigun trilogy.
Trigun was a pretty good anime. I mean, not one of my favorites, but I can definitely see a lot of people sticking by this classic. Maybe you can chalk up my blah attitude to the fact that I’m not fond of westerns and I kinda took it out on Trigun. Or the fact that there was so much more that the anime could have covered before the end and the ending kinda felt off to me! Like I thought I was expecting more. But I suppose that’s what mangas are for. To be honest, the stories that really grabbed my attention were the back-stories with Vash and Knives and Wolfwood’s final episode.
*sniffles* At least Milly got one night of passion before he died!

Gods I hope we get to see in “Onyx Equinox”
There’s something a lot of people not familiar with Aztec Mythology (Myself included until not that long ago) don’t know about: The Mexica had lots and lots of gods. Seriously, their lists of deities is so long I still don’t even know half of them, so here’s a few of them that I would be interested in seeing as characters in this series (Or... In any other media using the mythos, really).
1. Huitzilopochtli
A.K.A the Blue Tezcatlipoca. AKA the “Handed Hummingbird”. AKA the god that gets infamously remembered today because his sacrifices required human hearts. You know how the Aztecs get despicted in modern media as sacrificing people by bloodily pulling out their hearts? Yep, that was just this god’s sacrifices.
This dude was the younger little brother of Quetzalcoatl and he was freaking badass. And he was a fucking HUMMINGBIRD. Quetzalcoatl out here as this giant, fabulous feathered serpent. Edgy Tezcatlipoca over there being this big, badass jaguar because of course he was. And then you have this tiny little hummingbird who’s the freaking personification of WAR and can and will fuck you over.
I can’t stress this enough: He was the God of War and human sacrifice, and most of his surviving lore describes him as a blue hummingbird of all things. He was the very first “Looks like a cinnamon roll, can actually kill you”.
Give me my heart-eating, bloodsoaked hummingbird warrior, Crunchyroll. I want to see my hummingbird boy.
2. Huehuecóyotl
...Okay, how do I describe this trickster bastard without comparing him to Loki in any way? Huh...
Ok, I think I know: Have any of you watched Durarara!!? Well, take freaking Izaya “I love humans” Orihara, ascend him to actual godhood, then make him a damn good artist and dancer, like, the best dancer this whole universe has ever known, the one guy you have to invite to your party even if he backstabbed you the night before that, because a party is just not a party unless he’s been invited.
And then turn him into a coyote.
This dude right here was a bastard, and a good-looking bastard when in human form at that. If we get an anime version of him on this series, I expect everyone to lose their collective shit over him. Seriously, if written well, this absolute motherfucker could be the very next ‘rat’ boy that gets everyone to simp for him while also simultaneously hating his guts. Crunchyroll would have to be complete idiots to let this opportunity pass. Just imagine the potential. Just... Imagine.
He was also apparently really fucking horny? Like, on a “Horny on main” mood 24/7. So... There’s that too, I guess.
3. Chalchiuhtlicue
So apparently this water goddess ruled over the other gods for a while before both Tezcatlipoca and Quetzalcoatl got jealous and joined forces to overthrew her? But doing that caused the Mexica equivalent of the Great Flood (and also turned everyone into fish for a good while)?
...Man, Mesoamerican mythology was weird.
She also apparently fucked Tlaloc, the one who’s almost always described as being some kind of Leviathan-like creature or something along those lines? As in, they were even married? Monsterfucking goals right there, if I say so myself.
I think she’s already been confirmed to be in the series already (She could even be one of the ladies shown in the trailer), but I still put her here because she seems really fucking cool. You go, girl.
4. Ehecalt
Ok people, this is where things get really, really weird.
Ehecalt is described as the God of the wind and the cardinal directions, with some small but important parts of the lore being credited to him or mentioning him by name. He also happens to have an important role on the tale of the Fifth Sun, where the gods reformed the Sun and the world (and humanity alongside with it) for the fifth time.
Oh yeah, I should get this out of the way before going any further: According to Aztec Mythology, the world actually ended at least five times already, with the gods having to fix the mess and rebuilt the world back to normal each time it happened, which would always leave them really tired, and also kinda hungry. Hence the whole sacrifice thing.
It was kinda comedic in a really dark way, really, as nearly all of these supposed apocalypses the gods had to fix were also their own damn fault in one way or another nearly every. single. time. The reason behind the literal destruction of the world involved more often than not one or two of the gods having a cosmic tantrum. Seriously.
Anyways...
Anyone who have seen the trailer knows that the series is apparently taking place during/after the Fouth Sun (”We have remade humanity four times before”), so this part of the mythos could be extremely important to the lore of the series.
And if this series turns out to be some anime-like retelling of the Fifth Sun, like I saw a few people in the spanish-speaking community theorizing already, then get ready because things are going to get really fucking tragic.
Long story short (Except, not short at all...): The sun they made was not moving like it should, so the Gods had to make the hard choice to give their own blood to the sun to get it working. And because just some bloodletting from each one of them wasn’t going to cut it, they all had to be sacrificed to the sun, and Ehecalt was the one who had to do the deed.
But there was a god that wasn’t very keen on the idea of having to be killed for the greater good: Xolotl. This god basically went “Fuck this shit, I’m out!” and went into hiding because he was absolutely terrified of dying. Very understandable... until you discover that Xolotl was like, the Grim Reaper of the Aztec mythos, making his fear of dying ironic and more than a little hypocritical.
Being a Shapeshifting god, Xolotl disguised himself as a bunch of different things while trying to escape Ehecalt, the most iconic of which being an axololt, a form which he took before hiding under water. A form of his which could have been shown to us already as being in the series.
If the Fifth Sun is in anyway relevant to the story, which very likely seems to be, then Ehecalt is bound to appear, right?
Well, here’s the thing: Apparently he and Quetzalcoatl are one and the same. More specifically, Ehecalt is one of many aspects of Quetzalcoatl, so he’s also referred to with the name Ehecatl-Quetzalcoatl.
The question here is, if Onyx Equinox turns out to really be a retelling of the Fifth Sun story and the cute, series mascot-looking axolotl shown briefly in the trailer really turns out to be Xolotl in disguise, how are they going to adapt Ehecalt? Are they just going to give the role to Quetzalcoalt and not mention the name entirely, as it would probably just needlessly complicate things? Will be another name given to that god, as it kinda is? Will they actually make him a separate character entirely?
I don’t know, but I kinda want to find out.
That’s all for now, mainly because as I stated at the beginning I’m not as knowledgeable on this subject as I would like to be. If you happen to know more about this, please feel free to point out how I got absolutely everything wrong.
Now to wait for more info on this series, and hope it’s as good as the initial trailer made it look like to be. Crunchyroll has shown they actually have what it takes to produce a good adaptation (Tower of God, anyone?), now let’s see if they can manage the same quality with an original one.

The Last Person Standing
Hello everyone! I missed you all! I haven't been posting Durarara stuff lately so I wanted to change that by writing some new stories with @shizayasweek. Sorry for the long wait. So here we go! Also all thoses fics will go in AO3 and tagged as instructed.

"Sir, are you completely sure about this?" The cold voice echoed in the room.
The person that the voice referred to continue watching outside the window without flinching from the coldness of the voice. He simply smiled. He watched as a blond man walked the streets oblivious that someone was watching him. The cries were starting to get loud but then they suddenly stopped.
"Remind me, what Shiki said?" Izaya finally broke the silence and looked directly at the person that asked him the question without losing his tempo on what he was doing.
The man immediately looked away, feeling unworthy looking at his boss's face. The motion was so quick that it made him nauseous but that was what made his sir special and worthy of the title of yakuza. A quick job without a second thought. It made him shiver. His breath quickened but his voice was steady and without losing its coldness said.
"Boss said that whatever my sir asked, I would gladly follow."
Izaya nodded finally smirking at the person in front of him. He toyed with his now bloody knife and with a swift motion, it landed next to his bodyguard's head. The man closed his eyes and nodded.
"As you wish Sir." He said as he pulled out his gun.
And with that, the whimpering stopped.

"You didn't even give them any chance..." Shiki said as Izaya walked inside the red room.
Izaya smirked at him and winked. "Oh, Shiki-san is mad?~"
"Stop playing and answer honestly Izaya." Shiki warned Izaya while breathing out the smoke from his cigarette.
Izaya sat opposite Shiki and his gaze turned cold but his smirk was still on making him look completely out of his mind. Some would fear this look but Shiki knew it very well from the beginning of the journey together what it meant. And that meant that something was not good.
Something was not going their way.
Shiki let Izaya put his thoughts together. That was weird regarding Izaya one of the few yakuza members that never had lost any fight, any bet, any encounter with the enemy. He never lost. And yet something was off. Something was going against his plans. A thing that also affected Shiki and all yakuza members. Shiki put out his cigarette and put his hands together while looking at Izaya. Izaya closed his eyes and laughed quietly.
Eerily.
And with that, he pushed the chessboard that was in front of him on the table and let himself relax on the sofa. He now smirked normally and his eyes had focused on Shiki. Shiki nodded and Izaya talked.
"This was a new team we had recruited to get the boxes safely across the sea. Yet the team suddenly changed without our knowledge..."
"It became a gang?" Shiki asked.
Izaya toyed with his knife. "As far as I know. Their motto was 'saving the unaffected'. A new one."
Shiki sighed. "How many were created this month?"
"As far as I know they must be twelve. An impressive number yet only this time it was directly under my orders."
"Was the others..."
Izaya nodded. "As my information goes, they were under the Awakusu-kai."
"Is Akabayashi aware of this?"
Izaya smirked at him. "You wish me too?"
Shiki closed his eyes. Izaya was quick with his orders and executions. He even didn't know about this and yet Izaya had managed to clean the carpet yet again without anyone noticing. He was lucky to have him as his successor. Either way, he had trained him well, from a young age, and yet his mind was sharper than Shiki's making him fearsome to every single one of their enemy. Yet now someone was crazy enough to go against them. Or...
"Is..."
Izaya laughed at Shiki. "You finally figure it out old-man."
Izaya stood up and walked towards the library and took out a book. He finally took off his trademark jacket and unbuttoned his collar on his white shirt. When he finally was happy with the page on the book he turned and gave it to Shiki.
The page has stopped on the historical battle. Well, only in the yakuza world. And that was the battle fifty years ago against the yakuza and mafia. Shiki now put his hand on his head and rubbed like he had a headache.
"Are the events identical?"
Izaya nodded. "Operations from yakuza are all stopped. Gangs start to emerge creating chaos and the mafia operation finally starts. The elimination of yakuza."
"Only one organization can stand." Shiki stood up throwing the book on the sofa.
He took his jacket and with a click of his fingers his bodyguards enter the room surrounding him. He looked at Izaya.
"This must be announced at all the yakuza members. I order you to find more of the gangs and..."
Izaya smirked as he stepped on one of the chess pieces.
"...eliminate them."

"Are these the last ones, sir?" The man said as he threw one of the bodies on the water alongside his cigarette.
Izaya nodded. "The last gang on this coast at least." He looked at one of the bodies with disappointment in his eyes.
The man turned his gaze on the body Izaya was focused. He, unfortunately, recognized that man. It was the blond man that Izaya was focused on the other day.
"Was he...important?" He asked and Izaya smirked.
"Why is that important to you?"
The man felt his heart skip on that tone. That...harsh voice...
He looked away while unknowingly smiling at that feeling.
"You must know him by the tone." The man continued while he threw another body in the water.
Izaya didn't say anything but the man felt two holes being created on his back. He smirked this time.
He had Izaya's attention...
"He was important on yakuza yet his head started to get full with lies. So it was easier to just destroy it than empty it."
"So, he wasn't important..." The man's voice echoed together with a slash of a knife.
The knife had made its way near his cheek creating a cut and had landed next to his feet. The man smiled again. Izaya's reaction was quick. He turned and licked the blood that ran on his cheek while looking at Izaya.
Izaya didn't show any emotion and just showed his smirk at him.
"You have a big mouth..." He walked closer to the man and placed a knife on his neck. "...perhaps that might bring some fun."
With that, he closed it and jumped back away from the man. Izaya then looked at the moon.
"You remind me of him."
Oh?
"That...monster. The only one that could get out of my control. He could find a way out of my plans. Ruined them." Izaya turned and looked at the man now watching every move he did.
"So...I ruined him instead." Izaya started laughing and the man looked away betrayed.
He then continued his work with the bodies. With a last look at the blond man, he took out his yellow scarf and threw him.

"...Was he important?" The man suddenly asked as he took out his gloves after he had successfully killed the last boy on this gang.
Izaya's eyes focused on him. "People are important."
"Your love for them is what is important to you." The man said and felt Izaya near him.
"Your ideas and words don't match." Izaya said as he looked at the man.
"My ideas are your ideas, sir."
Izaya laughed. "Of course. It is an unwritten rule."
"My words can change if you want..."
Izaya looked unimpressed but smirked. "And where is the fun on that. Your next words could always result in your death and yet...you say them...."
"Like just him?" The man interrupted Izaya and Izaya moved his dagger on the man's neck.
"So the important question was about the monster, huh? What a clever bodyguard you are."
"Thanks for your kind words, sir. And yes. Was he?"
"Why are you obsessed with him, bodyguard? If I knew better, I would say you are his brother."
"Knowing my sir's past and enemies are required at this job."
With that Izaya fell into silence slowly he removed the dagger and smirked at the bodyguard as he tipped towed away from him.
"Clever boy. But this monster is dead."
"You killed him?"
"My first job."
The man stopped and observed Izaya. When he didn't find what he wanted he asked.
"The first job of every yakuza top is to prove royalty by...killing someone they love."
Izaya didn't say anything and just looked at the man. His face was emotionless apart from the usual smirk he always had.
"But you had said that he was a monster."
"That he was...but he was just any monster. He was MY monster."
"But why you did it?"
"As you said to prove my loyalty."
The man looked at him confused and he closed his fist.
"If you were in my position, wouldn't you do the same?"
The man looked at him again as Izaya just watched him. What the man did must have made Izaya happy since he laughed at him.
"You are weak."
"But you loved him."
"Unrequited love."
The man turned his gaze at Izaya while Izaya walked close to a puddle of the blood of the victims.
"Why?"
"Why? You will figure it out." Izaya said jokingly but this time his tone was sadder. He saw himself mirrored by the blood and his smirk turned eerie.
"I wonder...was he truly the true monster?"

It was the end.
Even after all Izaya had done, killing all the gangs, destroying the informants, and throwing false information everything had turned against him. Or the yakuza. The war had started without him knowing, without realizing. Or he actually... let it happen.
Did he want something? Was he searching for something? Why was he then so focused on destroying his own organization?
Did something on him change?
Did he look for revenge?
Perhaps. And yet not. He felt his heart drop when he saw his companions falling in battle. Every single person he had managed to rule into yakuza were down or were still fighting. His job was one and only at this time. It was to fight with them. Yet his dagger wasn't moving.
Was because he knew that the fight was over since he had ordered all the remaining yakuza to run and find shelter and regroup after this unexpected ambush. With what he had done they would have a better chance at the next battle. He was sure... But now....his dagger didn't move.
Was it because of the person in front of him that the dagger didn't move?
The man, his supposed bodyguard had managed to hit him making Izaya unable to move without feeling pain. That wouldn't surprise Izaya if it wasn't the weapon that his bodyguard had used on him.
A stop sign.
Only one could tear apart a sign, lift it without any problem and that was...Shizuo.
Izaya smirked at him while Shizuo finally took out that damn mask from his head. His blond hair shined at the light and his face was still intact, handsome as ever.
Izaya spitted out the blood from his mouth and smiled at Shizuo.
"Shizu-chan..." The stop sign moved and cut some of Izaya's hair.
"Don't...ever call me that again!"
Finally the voice, he long-awaited to hear.
"That name was given to me from someone that loved me."
"He is still here..." Izaya said but he didn’t expect the punch.
Izaya moved back and held his cheek feeling it burn.
"He might be...but that person is dead to me!" Shizuo barked and Izaya laughed.
"Was he? As I see it, Shizu-chan, you were the one that was still around me." With that, he threw his dagger finally at Shizuo.
Shizuo caught it and instantly broke it without flinching. Izaya stared at him losing himself for a while but quickly moved away from the upcoming sign. The sign hit the wall and stayed there. Shizuo though continued moving towards Izaya.
"Says the one that erased me from this world."
Izaya grimaced. He stared at Shizuo. "Why..."
"Why..." Shizuo laughed at him. "As you said, I am a monster. A bullet does nothing to me."
Izaya grimaced again but smiled. "Ah~ Of course. I have forgotten that thing about you. Your brain is one fact of your brutal motions. Never thinking. Something that might have saved us both.'' He whispered the last part but continued backing away from Shizuo. ''So you have come out just the perfect time to kill me. While my mind was elsewhere. Clever Shizu-chan."
"Waited for the right time."
"While looking for the answers. You did a full character arc Shizu-chan, that's impressive. Yet only Neanderthals can see the truth. Unlike you."
Shizuo showed his teeth but didn't move. He noticed that Izaya had managed to come closer to a window. He stared at him. Izaya just closed his eyes and smirked. With that he let himself fall back and...
...fell.
...but someone stopped him. Shizuo held his hand and Izaya finally opened his eyes and smirked at him.
"I was naive Shizu-chan. Betrayed by my own feelings. Yet the one that chooses to continue this serenade is you!"
Shizuo looked at him and pulled him inside the building before Izaya did anything more. Closer to him. Izaya put his hand on Shizuo’s chest feeling it move. His other hand was still held by Shizuo who hadn't moved. Izaya felt relief and then before he realized what was happening...pain.
He coughed blood. More blood than before. He looked down at his chest and saw a gun pointing at him. Shizuo had shot him.
Izaya turned at Shizuo who looked at him with regret and tears started to run down his eyes. Izaya pulled his hand away from his wound and put it on Shizuo’s face.
"I...I was wrong Shizu-chan....the...the true monster is..."
Izaya then with as much strength he still had, moved his head and kissed Shizuo, feeling his eyes burn. Slowly he muttered.
"...you..."
With that, his eyes closed letting his tears run down.
Shizuo held him close as he finally cried knowing that those words were true.

"Burn them all." Shizuo ordered and Vorona did as tasked.
He watched as the fire killed them all. He didn’t feel anything for them even if the cries started to get louder and louder. He had managed to finally win the war.
Mafia won.
He had won.
"Senpai, your face." Vorona said at Shizuo.
Shizuo put his hand on where Vorona showed and he saw blood. He closed his eyes realizing who was it. Izaya's hand had left a trace of blood on his cheek. Marking Shizuo as his killer.
He opened his eyes again and finally laughed. He felt his eyes burn yet again. He laughed and laughed but nothing matter anymore. Nor the win. Nor his success.
Only the truth! And that truth was painful!
Because Izaya never shot to kill but to erase. To save Shizuo.
But Shizuo’s was...
He was the TRUE monster!

5. Tsurugi Kamiya from Servamp
Does he look like a knock off Izaya? Yes. Is he? Very much no.
Tsurugi is like my no 1 reason for getting back into Servamp, I left right in the middle of his arc and I ;-; IS HE OKAY??? DID HE GET AWAY FROM TOUMA??? DID HE BECOME WRATHS EVE??? NOBODY TELL ME I’LL FIND OUT ON MY OWN.
Servamp was one of those shows where I didn’t really have a fav main character for a good while until this guy showed up. This guy is an absolute crazy little monster I can’t overemphasize on this, his coat is used as a fucking straight jacket I’m not even kiddin
You get introduced to him and he’s scary and terrifying because he’s so strong, like he’s one of those strongest in the series characters and since he and the heroes are on semi opposing sides he is a serious threat. 4. Izaya Orihara from Durarara
Ah yes, the og queen bitch. Has my taste for villains ever recovered from Izaya? No. If your villain isn’t at least a bit like Izaya I’m not interested. Durarara was one of my first serious fandoms and Izaya was the first character I ever wrote for and I think you can explain me as a person if you consider Izaya was my all time fav at 13. I can’t really say anything about Izaya that hasn’t been said thousands of times before, I love how goofy and overperformative he can be, I love how there’s so much in him once you crack him open, I love how good of a villain he is for a messy story such as DRRR, puppeteer villains are really a league of their own. We need more puppeteering twinks, maybe then I’d be more into villains yaknow.
3. Hawks from Boku no Hero Academia
To no ones surprise!Him! I’ve been drifting off from BNHA recently what from catching bad case of JJK what from just reading n watching more other stuff and honestly that’s probably good because I’ve been into BNHA for a couple of years now as my main fandom and I really could have used a break. Not to say I don’t like BNHA anymore tbh I think right now BNHA is the best it’s ever been just ya know, drifting. That being said my love for Hawks will never die, god what a good boy and we got his backstory too aaa ;-;. BNHA was just like Servamp, something I liked but didn’t really have a fav character in until this random support character strolled in and won my heart. God I love how much we got on Hawks. He’s completely different from his initial impression and his unrelenting strive to do good despite being thrown from one horrible situation to the next is just ;-; HES SUCH A GOOD BOY. He’s selfless to a fault, literally putting everyone before himself and putting himself down for not being able to achieve more than is humanly possible I’m just ;-; I WANT HIM TO BE HAPPY. He just makes my heart happy, he’s good and warm and hardworking and in a manga where trauma plays such a major role in so many characters it’s so good to see Hawks there, having been through three different types of hell and still coming out unnerving in his goodness. All I want for him is to have a good life and to one day be able to smile for real.
2. Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen
Again no surprise since I’ve been so into jjk lately. Satoru is p high up rn cuz I’m mainly into JJK now but god knows where he will actually settle. He’s not even really my favorite character in the show, that goes to Inumaki, but this is a list of who I think about the most (tho all of these characters are either no 1 or no 2 for their shows) and boy my brother and foxy can tell you I’m constantly thinking about this bitch. I didn’t really care about him that much at the start but then I got to Hidden Inventory and OH BOY MUCH TO THINK ABOUT. Satoru is such a wonderfully complex character whos evolution you can clearly follow through the years. He’s under so much pressure as the strongest sorcerer to deal with everything and he has to operate in that system trying to change it for the better while at the same time trying to make sure his students arent sacrificed in the name of that change. He has a very goofy disposition but along side with Nanamin who’s a lot more explicit about it, it’s clear he cares about mental state of his students a whole lot. He knows this world is terrible and that the will come out of it with scars and that he can’t protect them from all of it, but he balances protecting and letting them grow as much as he can. They need to grow so jujutsu society can change after all, but they also need to be protected so they don’t fuckin die before that can happen. This is without all the many many opinions I have on Hidden Inventory and SatoSugu as a whole, how they influenced each other, how differently they reacted to their shared trauma (Funny how everyone on this list is fuckin traumatized) and what resulted from it. How their fucking love story is dramatic enough to be a Shakespeare play. Also I like it when he’s long and goofy ahahah
1. Chuuya Nakahara from Bungou Stray Dogs

If there is ever a day when I don’t go feral over Chuuya I’ll probably be dead. He not only lives in my head rent free he owns the place.
HES SO UNDERUSED.
BSD has such a great setup with Chuuya, like he’s ex partners with the mentor of the main character who got betrayed and abandoned when the mentor left shared evil organization. Sounds like grounds for drama right? YOUD THINK SO. Like Chuuya and Dazai have such a great and interesting dynamic and you can feel how strained it is from the distance and betrayal and they bicker and fight as their defining relationship trait BUT there is such a strong underlying trust to all the fighting. These two trust each other with their whole lives and that hasn’t changed despite everything, despite how much time has passed and how much that trust had been tested. So you’d think he’d be an important character :) HES STUCK IN SUPPORT HONESTLY HES STUCK IN BACKGROUND UNLESS HES NEEDED TO DO SOMETHING COOL AAAAAA. Chuuya is literally one of a kind, I’ve never seen a character with such a good design and such an cool power and such an interesting relationship to one of the main characters and such a love and support from the fandom BE SO UTERLLY AND COMPLETLY WASTED. Even when we get Chuuya scraps they rarely build on relationship he has in canon but just throw in new random ones at him (tho that’s a broader problem of Kafka throwing new characters at the plot instead of developing the one he already has really). We get a hint of a cool fight with him? Completely cut out, More often then not it just feels like he is benched because he’s so damn strong there would just be no plot tension if he went in and broke some heads (which is also a problem with Satoru, guys stop writing op characters if you’ll just put em on the bus aaa). Anyway he’s completly and utterly wasted by the plot.
And it’s such a waste because he’s such a good character. Like he’s a member if the villain organization and is obviously by that very vicious and violent but also so empathetic and kind to people he considers his friends. He and Dazai have the brawn and brain thing going on and stg Chuuya is like the only brawn I can think of that is classier then their brain. Look at how this guy dressed, he’s high class gay, hat, choker, coat, gloves, he is bringing in the looks. I love how he can actually be completely calm and rational and put together but then put him with Dazai and it’s back to ‘we are 15 and we will scream out heads off at each other’, they are so childish.
Anyway I love Chuuya he deserves to be treated better and I will never stop screaming about Chuuya ever

My Sworn Brothers [Luffy x Crossover!Sister!Reader x Ace x Sabo]
A/N: Hey, so I want to write a High School AU of the many, many anime I have watched/ read. Bleach, Blue Exorcist, Devil is a Part-Timer, Durarara, Fairy Tail, Fullmetal Alchemist, High School of the Dead, InuYasha, Kill La Kill, Magi, My Hero Academia, Noragami, One Piece, Ouran High School Host Club, Pokemon, Saiki K, Sailor Moon, Seven Deadly Sins, Soul Eater, Sword Art Online, Vampire Knight, Your Lie in April, and Yu Gi-Oh. And I was wondering who would you like to be apart of your friend? And would you like to have a relation to any of the characters of the world.
Summary: [Y/N] is the oldest sworn sister to Luffy, Ace, and Sabo. And after finding Ace and Sabo aboard Luffy’s ship, the Thousand Sunny, she explains to them who she is, her other sworn brothers and sisters, embarrasses the three of them (a regular Tuesday for her), and threatens them with a chalkboard for interrupting her. Multiple times. In this story, most of the anime I am into is in the same world (Bleach, Blue Exorcist, Fairy Tail, Fullmetal Alchemist, InuYasha, Magi, My Hero Academia, Naruto, Noragami, Seven Deadly Sins, and Sword Art Online. I might do a part 2.
Warnings: spoilers for the above mangas and animes, also, even though this is along the timeline of after the time skip (at some point), I took the creative liberty to have Ace alive during this meeting for a quad family reunion, might be language

“How the hell am I suppose to believe that my three idiotic brothers would be in the same place at the exact same time I’m trying to find them?” the girl with [H/C] hair, old enough to be Luffy’s age, maybe a year younger or a year older than him.
“[Y/N]!!” the rubber boy flung himself at her in a hug.
She fell down on her butt from the impact of the hug. She groaned before pushing the boy off of her and standing up, dusting herself off. “Geez, Lu. I was on a job, just finished, and I heard something about a Straw Hat, a Fire Fist, and a blonde with a top hat that put the mad hatter to shame. I just came to see if the rumors are true.”
“What job did you have, sis?” Sabo said as he sipped a smoothie created from Vinsmoke Sanji.
“Well, you see. In the ten years I’ve been gone, I’ve been busy. Both with being lazy and being diligent.” the girl explained. “I am a member of Fairy Tail. Dragon Slayer Magic, particularly fire, water, earth, air, and plant. Requip the Knight. Some space jumping there and vortex opening here.”
“You got the two mixed up, kid.” Ace said from his spot next to Sabo.
The girl grinned an evil grin. “Oh, did I, Ace of Clubs?”
The raven haired pirate groaned at the nickname while Luffy’s crew members wondered after the nickname. Ace kept giving her the don’t-tell-them-anything look with a cut-it-out motion. She, like most people she knew, did not listen to reason.
“Well, when we were younger, I attempted to teach the pour unfortunate souls that you call Luffy, Sabo, and Ace golf. And we played mini-gold. First hole we went to, the club flew out of Ace’s hand and crashed into the window where the pour lady working the club stand was clonked on the head and fell unconscious. Another fun fact: I’m overly competitive and therefore master of mini gold. Luffy on the other hand... beat my bowling high score of just a little over four hundred points.” [Y/N] explained.
“THAT’S NOT HOW YOU PLAY GOLF, YOU IDIOT!” Usopp shouted at his captain.
“Ace was a lot worse. However, on the eighteenth hole, got a hole in one. Although with team sports, I always sided with Luffy ‘cuz he was the baby of the family.” she explained.
“Never play Volleyball with her unless you’re Luffy.” Sabo warned the Straw Hat Pirates.
“Could you... possibly.... explain who you are?” asked Nami.
“That’s an easy and excellent question, m’lady. I am [Y/N] [L/N], the daughter of the Demon King from the Demon Clan, Niece of Solomon, adoptive daughter of the great dragon, The Curse of Depravity, a mage of S-Class ranking, the best older sister anyone can have, a Shinigami, and the Pirate Fairy.” [Y/N] said with her hands on her hips like wonder woman.
“You’re not wonder woman, dumbass.” Ace muttered.
She scowled at the boy (who was now physically older than her). “I know that, asshole.” Ace shrugged his shoulders at that. “Anyways, I should get going. I’m here with my teammates. And Salamander will have a cow if he finds out I’m on a Pirate Ship. Which may or may not include Natsu asking you all to fight him at once for his sister.” [Y/N] shrugged.
“SISTER?!” Luffy screeched.
“YOU ALREADY REPLACED US?!” Ace and Sabo said in unison.
“This is why I never took you to Amusement parks or sat next to you on a ride.” she clenched at her swollen ears. “No, I was merely saying that I have something called [Y/N]’s Council of Brothers. They’re basically a band of boys I feel need my protection, wisdom, and power to embarrass them until they’re six feet under and rotting.”
“She’s dark.” Nami said. “But can you explain this whole Council of Brothers thing. Because I’m not sure they,” the ginger pointed to the three brothers, “understand.”
“Alright! I will go over a lesson here!” and suddenly a white board appeared by her side with writing already on it.
“Where did you get the white board?” asked Luffy.
“That’s not important right now.” she scowled. “Yes, Sabo.”
“Was that Whiteboard always there and we just never noticed it?” the blonde asked.
“No. Ace if this is a question about the white board, I will smack you with the same gold club that flew through that window. All questions about the stupid whiteboard will be answered after I explained everything. Got it?”
The three brothers grumbled out a, “Yes.”
“Good. Anyways, to start it off I have two half-brothers. Meliodas and Zeldris.” she slapped a pointer stick against the whiteboard.
“Did she always have that?” Ace asked, whispering it to his two brothers.
“I don’t know. I’m just glad someone noticed it besides me.” Sabo murmured back.
“SILENCE, YOU INSOLENCE FOOLS!” and she threw a frying pan which hit Ace in the head.
Why does she have a frying pan in her requips? Sabo wondered in his head, not wanting to get hit in the head with anything else she might have to throw at them.
“Anyways, Meliodas and Zeldris are my half-brothers. Zeldris is the captain of the Demon Clan’s ten Commandments while Meliodas is the captain of Liones’s Seven Deadly Sins of which I am co-captain and the Phoenix Sin of Darkness. To be fair, I look more like my mother and I think the only thing me, Meliodas, and Zeldris share is our dumbassery we inherited from our father. Second off, my cousin is Magi Aladdin since my mother is his father, Solomon,’s sister. Now, that’s enough of my actual biological family. Now, I won’t go into detail about those three. Because you already seem well-acquainted with one another. Anyways, onto the next one. The next one on my list of brothers is a half-demon named Rin who is the son of Satan along with his younger brother, Yukio, but he doesn’t really need protection. next is Kazuto Kirigaya also known as Kirito. I prefer to call him that. He got stuck in a game where if you die there, you die in real life, but he defeated them. next, we have Satan himself, a king of demons, Sadou Maou. He works as a part-timer for a fast food chain which is sad to be honest. Next, we have Alibaba Saluja, a prince and a king’s candidate, also my cousin’s best friend. He wields the fire djinn, Amon. Also, he’s trying to be a gladiator while figuring out his feelings for Fanalis and former slave Morgiana. Next, we have actual God Yato who is a former god of calamity and a current god of war. I think. I’m not quite sure. But he and his two regalia, Yukine and a Nora named Kazuma, but also Kazune under Yato, must be protected by me at all cost. Then, we have Edward Elric, a alchemist missing both a leg and an arm because he wanted to see his mom’s smile again which kicks me in the heartstrings whenever I hear it. His brother, Alphonse, is an honorary member of the Council of Brothers. And he used to be entirely a soul attached to a suit of armor. No joke.”
“Does no one else notice that they are mostly raven haired or blonde?” Nico Robin commented.
The Straw Hat Pirates turned to the three sworn brothers who just shrugged their shoulders at that. “I admit I am guilty for that. But my actual brothers are raven headed and blonde, so that may be the reason. Anyways, off to the next people. Now, this person could make Luffy look like a genius. Sometimes. Natsu Dragneel, a salmon haired fire dragon slayer, is the brother of Zeref Dragneel, the black wizard, and also simultaneously END, the most powerful demon of the book of zeref which makes him one of the top fifteen most powerful demons. Next, we have strawberry boi, Ichigo Kurosaki, a shinigami who I’ve been helping train. He could see the dead and then he discovered his spiritual power, stole the shinigami powers of Rukia Kuchiki, and started to exorcist hollows and send souls to the soul society. Then, we have my favorite band of brothers since they could literally be in a band. Broccoli Boi, Izuku Midoriya, kinda has a power augmentation quirk, best way to describe it without giving too much away, Porcupine Katsuki Bakugo who can blow things up with help from his sweat. Zuko Wannabe Shoto Todoroki who can wield fire and ice. Also, his brother Touya may or may not be Dabi. Oh, there’s sharkboy Eijiro Kirishima. He can make himself go as hard as rock, but he has limitations. Then, we have spidertape Hanta Sero that can shoot tape out of his elbows. Then, half-demon InuYAsha who is the son of a dog demon and a mortal woman. There’s also Shippo who is an adorable little kitsune. And I think I got everyone.” the girl looked at her board before smacking it again as she noticed Luffy had begun to doze off while Ace had totally fallen asleep.
The action alerted the two boys to wake up at once and glare at their older sister. And then, a silver haired undead man with a flying blue cat landed on the floor of the ship. “Thank goodness we found you. C’mon. We got a mission and you and your ‘Team Natsu’ have a job request from the old man and a princess.”
“So Hisui and Bartra both agree to have us do something, but what is this so-called mission?” asked [Y/N].
Ban smirked. “We’re fighting slave-trading pirates.”
“I want in!” Luffy cheered.

Hi again people who follow me!
I’m bored and I’ve decided to make fun facts about our DID system and the four known alters!
So before I start- Lilith has a bit of a show today, but the body was too tired for her to start anything. Like I feel asleep as soon as I got to class. The reason I know this is because of my outfit and she decided to put on lip gloss (which I never wear personally). She’s not conscious currently, none of the other three are, and I’ll get to that later!
Oh! And just so you know, this is Lennox.

Let’s start with Levin!
Levin is the alter that co-cons often or will switch with me
He knows a lot about our system, but is very secretive about it so~
He is the only male alter in the system that I know of
He also goes by Levi and Lev
He likes more soft songs and songs with a good message
His favorite color is forest green
He’s the only alter that Lilith does not take her anger out on
He’s an introvert with really bad social anxiety
He hates sexual songs (so of course being me, I put two of the worst sexual songs I know in his playlist, he doesn’t know)
He has insomnia and ptsd
He’s extremely competitive when it comes to card games
He likes educating people on animals and wants to do gigs, like birthday parties and events, to teach people about reptiles and birds specifically
His favorite subject is English
He is white with blue eyes and dark brown hair. He’s thin, well more twig like, but whatever. He’s around 5’8 (two inches taller than the body)
His clothes style is baggy shirts with either baggy sweatpants or leggings. He wear plain colors, like pale blues, grays, and black. He, surprisingly, likes boots, even heeled boots
His favorite anime is... probably Durarara x2 any season
He has no sexual desires, but romantic likes girls
He’s 18
He’s very comfortable singing, he loves it. That a major way he expresses himself
His favorite song is... I think LA Devotee by P!ATD (idk why but that what he likes)

She is named after Adam’s first wife, the demon queen, Lilith (yes she liked to go church, but we stopped going)
She is a bisexual
She’s ageless (she has no age, or if she does she hasn’t told anyone)
She’s an absolute bitch and she knows it.
She has violent mood swings and anger issues (respectfully so)
She is also an introvert, but not because of anxiety, no it’s because she wants to strangle every single person that looks at her weird
She hates Little with the burning passion
She gets repressed the most because no one wants to be expelled from school
She likes cooking
She hates cleaning because of her ocd
She wants to pursue a culinary job
Her favorite subject is science
She rarely fronts and when she does it’s quick or someone is co-con with her (ex. What happened with aleia-clownery)
Lennox(me) has to clean up her messes as always.
Her favorite anime is... The Promised Neverland (she likes Ray a lot)
She likes aggressive songs, or songs that swear a lot
Lilith has wavy black hair with blue highlights. Her eyes are a brownish red color. She’s short, like 5’2, and likes to wear heels because of it. She’s black as well

Her style of clothes is black shirts with skulls on them and tight, but comfortable, pants. She also likes a certain denim dress I have
She likes drawing and doodling ways to kill people and I have to say she’s pretty good

Little is Hispanic and on the chunky side. She has a caramel skin tone. She can understand it way better than me (Lennox) and she wants to learn Japanese and French (I’m interested in Japanese so we’re probably going to learn it)
Her favorite subject was College Writing Prep and before that was Language Arts, but the writing part of it. She really likes writing
Her favorite color is... honestly black. She likes that it matches with everything and likes the science of black too
Her favorite anime is Ouran High School Host Club (I hate it with the burning passion) her second choice is Black Butler (any season) which we allow her to watch
She likes baking and cooking, tho she prefers baking, she likes the way it calms her, I guess
Her favorite song is Voices in My Head (she listens to a lot of nightcore so I don’t the artist)
I’m not saying much else about her (I don’t want creeps harassing her)

The first anime I’ve ever watched was Wolf’s Rain. I was seven I think, but it was on YouTube so I didn’t get to watch the whole thing. I recently found it, but I’m afraid to watch it lmao
I like the colors teal and turquoise, as well as blood red and jet black
I like anything P!ATD, Halsey, Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boys, Set It Off, Alec Benjamin, OneRepublic, and Nico Collins and AJR(granted so does everyone else but 🤷)

My heart stopped and I pulled my feet onto the couch. And she was going to do it because the moment I moved my feet, she jumped from the top of the couch she’s on... she scares me sometimes 😣)

Levin and I co-con often. If I’m not in control, then he is
On instances where I get angry, Lilith takes control
Little co-cons with me more than everyone else because she enjoys annoying me
Lilith and Little are both so stubborn and hardheaded, it’s unbelievable. On the other hand, Levs and I are open minded and calm. So we often clash on what we should do as a collective
Lilith is a Christian, Levi and I are atheists, and Little is a Seventh Day Adventist (the religion I grew up with). However Lev and I hold more say, so we don’t go to church
I guess you could say there’s a hierarchy in the system. I have the most important say, then Lev, then Little, and lastly Lilith
Levin and I enjoy co-conning with each other only, anyone else gives us headaches
Everyone loves Nico Collins, Alec Benjamin, Set It Off, and AJR the most
Everyone’s favorite albums are Death of a Bachelor (p!atd), Cinematics (set it off), and American Beauty/American Psycho (fall out boys)
Everyone loves sushi and sushi rolls (California and Philadelphia rolls are the best)
We all really want to try takoyaki and pork Katsudon. When we do try them, I’ll probably make a post about it
We all love Ella and we all want to start a rehabilitation center of all animals and a pet cafe
We love reptiles, like all reptiles, venomous snakes included
I think there are more alters that just aren’t as prominent as the other three, Levin would know but he doesn’t like to discuss our system often

Pet - Thoughts and Musings
I am back with my seasonal anime musings/analysis/reviews/whatever. Because of various reasons, I have not written any of these posts since...I don’t know...last spring anime season? LOL I still have soooo many on my list from last year to watch gahhh. But I did caught up with Beastars and Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo - both of which were awesome, by the way. I wanted to write some things for them (especially Araburu, because I felt like there’s a lot of things I wanted to say), but...I don’t know. Life caught up?
Anyway, here’s Pet, with an average score of 6.57/10 on MAL. Quite a low one for my taste, as I rarely watch anything with a score below 7. However, this is one of those anime I decided to see not because of the MAL score or anyone else’s influence, but because I wanted to. Heck, when it was first announced, I was immediately excited, because 1) it’s directed by Omori Takahiro, who directed some of my all-time favorite anime, such as Natsume Yuujinchou, Durarara, Baccano, and Hotarubi no Mori e; 2) the screenplay is done by Sadayuki Murai, another favorite who has also worked alongside Omori-kantoku-san and was also the one behind Sidonia no Kishi’s series composition; and 3) the entire synopsis just sounds...soo good?? Not to mention that short PV-like thing they released way back when

OK, yes, I’m not fluent in Japanese, but the music and Hiroki’s voice acting really caught me.
However, time passed, and there was no word on the anime at all until it was announced that the anime was pushed back until the winter season of 2020. Now, I still had my initial hype, but I also had my doubts. It probably had production issues and so on. Things like that often don’t bring their best to the table and ends up becoming a disappointment. It showed on the first episode.
That episode was weird. I read what people thought about it on some forums and none gave me a positive image of the anime. But I thought, what the heck? There’s no harm on checking it. Though it wasn’t entirely bad, it was weird, and I had no idea what was happening. There was so much going on and the art felt a bit weird and the story seemed all over the place and I thought, ah, it shows.
My impression of it was: this show seems like it will have a good story, but not until some time later, so maybe I should wait for several more weeks and binge-watch it then. However, I came to learn that episode 2 was much better than its predecessor. It cleared up any kind of confusion and erased some doubts. It piqued my interest again. And now that I have finally caught up with the show, I am glad that I did not drop it.
Because so far, Pet is amazing.
Since it’s been two weeks since I saw the first episode, it took a while to grasp the meaning of the terms and so on, but once I’ve got it, it was quite easy to get absorbed inside the show. There were a few time jumps and technical terms were thrown all over the place, and I needed to remind myself that is the director who made Baccano and Durarara. Durarara had a relatively continuous timeline, but the way it jumped POVs in those first few episodes were quite baffling and you only understood what was what much later on. Baccano was crazier imo, as I read that, unlike the light novels, Omori-san took the liberty to rearrange the story in the anime to make it so that there are several stories set in different timelines in one episode, and there are those terms and whatnot and though it makes a good mystery, it doesn’t make much sense, until that one episode where everything finally clicks into place.
I have a similar problem with Pet. I can see that the story so far is intriguing. We have these “crushers” and then “pets” and then loci in the minds containing memories, divided into “peaks” and “valleys”. And then there are “images”, which I think is some kind of protection armor? A form they take to get inside other people without letting themselves be consumed by the other’s memories and feelings. Aside from that, we have a “Company” with people who have the ability to get inside other people’s minds and alter memories. What’s worse is that we’re immediately dumped in the middle of the action with not much introduction, so all we can do is just sit tight and hang on, hoping for the best that everything will make sense in the end.
And then of course, we have our enigmatic characters.
First up, Hiroki, your shounen character in a serious drama. The longer I listen to him, the more annoyed I am haha. I don’t know. His voice kind of irritates me. Maybe because he’s this naive kid with a strong ability that doesn’t really understand what’s happening around him. And then there is that dependence toward Tsukasa, whom I will get to after this. Episode 3 makes me like him though. His heart is clearly in the right place, just that he’s in a bad environment, so he doesn’t know what to do. He is the character who will question the righteousness of their actions. I believe he hates his abilities, but using it has been ingrained into his body that sometimes, he’s unconsciously using it. Like when he almost got inside Katsuragi’s head, or when he showed the girl in episode 3 what her boyfriend was like (though it was partly his imagery of him, and he knew that and that’s why he was so conflicted when she came back). I can imagine what his childhood must have been like. Probably shunned. Probably lonely. Much like how Satoru had been before Hayashi “saved” him. And then Tsukasa came, who showed him how to protect himself and to utilize his powers. Tsukasa was his savior. That’s why in episode 2, though he was reluctant to kill, he also wanted to show Tsukasa that he could do it. They didn’t have to kill. He could save this man using his powers. he wanted to prove himself to Tsukasa. I am amazed that his heart has not been tainted, and I have high hopes for his character.
Next, we have Tsukasa. Even from the posters, this guy already looked fishy. In the first episode, there’s something off about him. He’s just too good. Too accommodating toward Hiroki. Hiroki wants something, then he’s going to give it. Hiroki says not to go with Satoru. All right, I won’t go with Satoru. Hiroki wants a shop. Here, this is for you, but I used the Company’s money, so I’m going to have to pay them back by doing jobs for them. Yeah I know you told me you don’t want to do any more of them, but I’ll be the one doing them, not you. You just need to sit tight and work on your little shop. You know that’s not what Hiroki meant. Still, I like him. So far, he’s a cool character, and I like him even more on his solo job in episode 3. But what I love the most is:
That smirk! Because yes, all this time, all we’ve seen are his facades. His facade when he is with Hiroki. His facade with Katsuragi. His facade when he does a job. And then we have this moment, this small moment, and much like how that small moment with the girl who buys guppies and her boyfriend builds up Hiroki’s character, this small moment between Katsuragi and Tsukasa, when Katsuragi tells him that his next job will be Hayashi and Tsukasa pauses for a moment before asking if Hayashi has been found, it speaks volume. Because then finally Tsukasa shows us his true self (or, at least, part of his true self). His tone changes. He scolds Katsuragi for being happy or pleased.
You seem strangely happy for someone who was outwitted for two whole years.
Tsukasa is clearly talking down to him. Katsuragi, who we thought was the boss. Katsuragi, who was the jerk who would kill people to get the job done quickly. He is surprised at the sudden change and becomes visibly nervous. He stiffens and keeps his eyes on the road. Tsukasa goes on to give orders to Katsuragi. Then Katsuragi nervously puts out his cigarette and says, somewhat formally, “Understood.” (though he’s just saying “hai” in Japanese, but it’s vastly different from the Katsuragi we know in the last two episodes). He obeys Tsukasa.
I did wonder if Katsuragi was under Tsukasa’s control, but it didn’t seem like it. Heck, Tsukasa might actually be one of the Company’s higher-ups (or he might even be the Head of the Company, if I want to stretch it). And then we have that split-second smirk, that shows he is in complete control of the situation. It makes sense with how he refers to Hiroki as his “pet” in such an off-handed manner. It also makes sense with how he makes cold, calculating judgment. Of course he’s using the Company’s money to buy the shop. Of course he’s still doing odd jobs for the Company. He’s not the good guy he shows Hiroki he is.
Right now, I can actually see Tsukasa being the “big bad boss” of the series, if this series has any kind of villain. Or, well, I think he’d make a pretty good anti-hero. Just imagine a showdown between Tsukasa and Hiroki... So far, I am most intrigued with Tsukasa and I hope he will have a great arc.

I should be writing but instead, my brain is meandering. I was thinking about the visual presentation of the characters in Durarara a few days ago and went flipping through the first novel. The anime presents them very differently than the descriptions in the books and it kind of makes me sad to see those changes because I don’t think they’re positive ones.
Specifically, the one that I think bothers me the most is our protagonist, Celty:

Below are some descriptions from the first novel, where we are introduced to her:
The shadow of a figure stood over him. Not metaphorically, either—it was a shadow.
The figure was dressed in a black full-body riding suit without a single pattern or logo on it, making it look as though the black material had been dipped into even darker ink. Only the reflection of the parking garage lights signified that there was even something physical there at all.
From the neck upward was even stranger. An oddly designed helmet sat atop the figure’s neck. In comparison to the uniform blackness of the body, the shape and patterning of the helmet seemed somehow artistic. It didn’t clash with the overall dark look, however.
The faceplate of the helmet was like the dark mirrored glass of a luxury car. It showed nothing of what lay behind the glass, only the distorted reflection of the lights overhead.

Celty had been patrolling Ikebukuro for twenty years, and for much of that time, she’d known this man. Of course, he had no idea of Celty’s true nature or her gender, but Shizuo was also the kind of man who didn’t bother with little details like that.
Hair as black as darkness, just tracing over her eyes, features that were carved into her heart long in the distant past—right atop the shoulders of the woman stumbling across the sidewalk in her pajamas!
Rumors had spread about the headless rider, but the rumors didn’t identify her as a woman or a dullahan.
She didn’t feel a particular need to hide these things, but neither did she plan to reveal them.
So yeah... We have an androgynous form of a person that almost everyone mistakes as being male. Even Shizzy. Also, her head has black hair.
Yet the anime puts her in a catsuit, gives her obvious female features ( . Y . ) and changes her hair to brown, which I am guessing is to emphasize her not-Japaneseness? But there’s no significant reason to change her physicality. Especially when you’re talking about Celtic fae who are very often quite androgynous in their beauty.
And the catsuit thing is just plain objectification. Biking suits do not look like catsuits. They are actually quite different. They’re leather and usually armoured to protect the wearer from injury. They don’t have the vinyl catsuit look that is given to Celty (or later Vorona whose biking leathers also look more like catsuits than actual bike gear).
I know there are plenty of reasons why they might have made changes to characters, some of which might actually be valid, but it still bothers me because I know that on some level the choice was sexy-sells because Celty isn’t the only character who faces this.
Shizuo is actually spot-on between books and anime, for example. As are Mikado and Masaomi.
But Big-Tits McSchoolGirl (Anri) is not. Nowhere in the first novel is she described as having big tits.
Izaya is also not entirely the same. I mean, on the one hand, they make him an anime pretty boy, which he is in the books, but they give him a very nondescript outfit and that’s not how he’s described. You can’t get more generic than black slacks, black shirt, black jacket. but the novel says this of him:
But in the next moment, all of that was destroyed as a fresh new maelstrom of anxiety and excitement burst into life.
“Hey.”
It was a very pleasant voice, crisp and clear and vibrant, as though being hailed by the pure blue sky itself.
And yet, the instant he heard that voice, Masaomi grimaced as though he’d been shot in the back with arrows. He slowly turned in the direction of the voice, an instant sweat congealing on his face.
Mikado turned the same way and saw a young man with an equally pleasant face. He looked soft and gentle, but with a bold, intrepid edge—a perfect materialization of some ideal of handsomeness. His eyes were warm and all-accepting but glinted with a hard scorn of anything that wasn’t himself. His outfit, while possessing its own personality, did not show off any obvious features or characteristics. All in all, he was very difficult to grasp or classify.
Even his age was indistinct based on appearance alone. He had to be more than twenty at least, but there was no way to tell anything beyond that.
Everything clicked into place for Mikado. The man not to get involved with. The man not to make an enemy out of. But the fellow standing before him didn’t seem all that dangerous. Aside from his sharp gaze and handsome features, he seemed like any other young man. Even his plain, glossy black hair stood out amid all the bleached and dyed hair around him. He looked like the kind of sharp young man that would be teaching at a cram school out in the country somewhere.
He’s more normal than I expected, Mikado thought, and decided to introduce himself.
Izaya chuckled shyly. If that expression was the only thing to go on, he’d never be mistaken for someone fully immersed in the criminal underworld from head to toe.
In Izaya’s left hand, held behind his back, was a very sharp knife. The scariest part was that Mikado had been watching the man’s movements the entire time, but he never noticed where the knife came from or when he’d slashed the bag free of the strap.
Izaya smartly folded up the knife and slipped it into the sleeve of his suit jacket, all one-handed behind his back. Mikado felt like he was watching a magician at work.
Now I don’t know about other people but I don’t find this:
To be an outfit that has any personality. Aside from the coat. Which... Maybe this is because I am Canadian but... coats with fur lining aren’t that weird? I mean, not even winter coats but we have fall/spring coats with fur trim? So why does everyone comment on his coat? Why is it so weird to y’all? But the rest of his outfit has absolutely no personality whatsoever. Literally, the blandest thing you could wear.
And the last quote: when he meets Mikado during the bullying incident, he’s wearing a suit, my dudes. A suit. In which he hides knives. :3 Give me more Izaya-suit-porn pls. Need it. For research. :3
I know anime has a habit of sticking characters with a single, identifiable outfit but honestly, they could have given him something better. And it’s not that I’m opposed to his look exactly... I just don’t think it entirely lines up with his character.
So yeah... These are just some points from the first novel. I might go through more of the novels at some point and do this for other characters too because I’m curious. When I read them the first time, it was with the anime images already in my mind as visuals so I didn’t pay as much attention to physical descriptions.

Izaya Orihara x-reader
This is an AU, so the characters may not be exactly the same from the show, or manga. I have only watched Durarara and read the first book of the series so I am sorry if I messed a lot of things up.
Disclaimer: I don't own Durarara only the story idea. I also don't own the art.
(Chapter 1)
You had just moved to Ikebukuro a month ago and had seen some crazy things that didn't seem normal to you. Like a man who could pick up a vending machine and threw it at another guy or the story of the headless rider. You had a small apartment that you were living in not that you had to just you liked to. You're from a wealthy family in America but wanted a change in your life where no one knew who you were...
Today was just like any other day you get up and get ready for work, you worked at a bookstore that was not far from your home. It was a normal thing for you to get off work late at night even though people advised against you doing this, but you loved the night and didn't really care.
You were walking home after work when you noticed that you had someone following you. "Can I help you?" You ask rather coldly turning around to see someone that looked familiar.
"[Y/N]-Chan how cold," the raven-haired boy said with his brown/red eyes.
"Izaya don't you have better things to do than bother me?" You asked rolling your eyes at him. You had seen Izaya before a few times.
You knew who he was before though because just like him you too like gathering info on people, but you didn't go around playing with people's emotions the way he does. Yes, you had on a few occasions used the info you had on people to get out of sticky situations.
"You're awfully cold today [Y/N]-Chan," Izaya said giving a fake frown.
You roll your eyes and turn to continue walking home. Not caring that Izaya was walking right next to you complaining about how mean and cold you were being.
"Izaya," you say rather harshly turning to look at him just a block away from your apartment, "are you going to follow me home?"
Izaya just smiled and nodded his head like a little kid.
"If you're going to come to my home I have a few rules," You say rather blankly, "One no taking or messing with things and Two no complaining like a little kid."
"Okay [Y/N]-Chan~" Izaya cooed walking ahead of you but he stopped when he saw that you had a confused look on your face, "[Y/N]-Chan?"
"Yeah," you say snapping out of a thought you just had.
"What were you just thinking?" He asked with a ceruse look.
"I was thinking about if I had anything that I was worried about you touching," You say lying you were trying to figure out why he was walking in front of you, but snapped out of it when you remembered that it was Izaya.
Izaya gave you a look that said he didn't believe you. "[Y/N]-Chan lying is bad," he said waving his finger in the air like a parent would do when scolding their child.
You roll your eyes at him, "Izaya how can lying be bad, don't we all have our lies?" You asked walking closer to him to get a better view of his reaction to your words.
Izaya was dumbfounded for a minute but soon hid it by changing the subject, "Isn't this your apartment?"
You just smiled moving past him to open the door to your apartment. From Izaya's face, you could tell he was ceruse.
"Go ahead and look around," you said having nothing to hide.
Izaya took this as a chance to look through you're inter apartment. After a while, he made his way to your room and that's one room you didn't want him in.
"Izaya, don't go into that room," you say running over to your bedroom door to try and block it.
"Are you hiding something from me [N/N]-Chan?" He asked with a devilish smirk.
"No, I just hate people going into my bedroom," You say blocking your door as he tries to open it will you were talking.
"[Y/N]-Chan you said that I could look around and that you had nothing to hide," Izaya said making you hate yourself for saying that.
"Ugh, fine," You say opening your bedroom. Your room was really nice and had a large window that overlooked the city, so you could see everything.
He took no time to look through all of your stuff, but you had to say the worst part was when he made his way over to your dresser.
"Izaya it wouldn't polite to go through a lady's dresser," You say hoping this would stop him, but he turned to you with an evil grin.
"But [Y/N]-Chan you have nothing to hide right?" Izaya said teasing you as he opened the top drawer of your dresser but as soon as he opened it he shut it again. "I am no pervert, but you should see your face!" Izaya said before bursting out into full out laughter.
You could feel that your checks were hot from embarrassment. You hated him for doing that just to see your reaction. You walked out of your room to go get some tea to calm your nerves.
"Hey, flea want some tea?" You asked harshly pulling out two cups.
"[Y/N]-Chan don't use that name like that monster Shuz-chan," Izaya said with an upset toon and expression.
"Does me calling you that make you mad?" You asked trying to mimic Izaya's infamous grin.
This only made things worse for yourself. Izaya had an off-putting look in his eye and there was no sign of emotion on his face.
*buzz* *buzz*
"Ugh, yes," Izaya said picking up his phone that had been buzzing, "Alright, well it looks like will have to continue this later, [Y/N]-Chan," Izaya said walking over to the window and jumping out it.
You ran over the window to see that he was now on the ground, "Izaya use the door next time!" You yell at him.
"No," Izaya said smiling again, "See you later [Y/N]-Chan."
After he had left you faced palmed, realizing that you had told him that he could come back. "I am never going to get rid of that pest," you say before bursting into a hysterical laugh, "I was looking for an interesting life but who knew moving to a place like this would be just what I needed and know I have someone fun to play with."
(The next day at work)
Time had seemed to slow for the day you had got to work at 6 am and things just seemed slow and it's only been an hour.
*Bang*
"Was that a vending machine?" You asked yourself looking out the window to see someone holding a traffic sign, "Great Shizuo and Izaya are at it again."
"IZAYA!" Shizuo yelled throwing things at Izaya who was dodging left and right to avoid getting hit.
You watch as Izaya and Shizuo run down the road destroying the street.
"Why do they have to destroy everything?" You ask yourself shaking your head as if disappointed.
You sigh and go back to work. You liked working in the bookstore it had everything form Since Fiction to Anime and Manga. With all of this to read and more you were content for the most part the only thing missing was some fun. (Be careful what you wish for)
Someone came up behind you, but you heard them before they could get to close to you. Turning on your heals you see Izaya standing there with his hands out like he was about to try and cover your eyes from behind.
"Izaya, what were you about to do?" You asked looking at him with a raised brow.
"I was trying to surprise you," he said with a forced pouty face.
"Don't strain yourself," You say walking away from.
He looked confused for a moment. "[Y/N]-Chan~" he cooed following you.
You roll your eyes at him but when you turn to look at him you noticed that he was bleeding all over the floor that you have to clean.
"Izaya your bleeding!" You say rushing over to him to stop him from bleeding everywhere.
"I didn't know you cared so much [N/N]-Chan," Izaya said smiling but that was soon gone when you jabbed his wound a bit. "aw, be careful."
"Oh, I am so sorry," You say sarcastically, "Come here I have to see how bad it is."
As you were about to see how bad his wound was he passed out.
"This is just great," you say rolling your eyes as you pick Izaya up to move him to a better location.
You move him to the back of the bookstore and where his wound was you had to remove his jacket and shirt. His wound was not too deep, but it was bad enough that he needed stitches and he had a few cuts on his arms.
"You're lucky that I had gone through that medical course," You say banging him up, "but I feel you should probably go to the hospital."
"[Y/N]-Chan don't take me to the hospital," Izaya said in a week voice. He had lost a lot of blood and was really weak.
"Well do you have someone I can call?" You asked knowing that Izaya had a point about him going to a hospital with him being one of the most hated people in Ikebukuro.
"Yeah, my phone," he said weakly, "It's in my coat."
You get up and walk over to get his phone from his pocket when you were looking around his pocket you felt something cold that was defiantly not a phone. You pull it out to see it was a folding knife you put it back and then searched his other pocket for his phone when you finally found it you pulled it out and handed it to him.
"Here now call who you need to and have them come take care of you," you say wanting to get rid of him.
"That's not very nice [Y/N]-Chan," Izaya said even though he was injured he still held up his act.
(After the phone call with a certain doctor we all know and love)
"Well is whoever you talked to coming to take care of you?" You asked while finishing cleaning up the floor that had been bleed on.
"Yes and no," Izaya said grunting a bit as he moved from the pain of his wound.
"What do you mean by that?" You asked not having a good feeling about this.
"Well I told him to meet at your apartment," Izaya said with his usual grin.
You didn't say anything as you took out your phone to call your boss, "Hey boss I had a family emergency come up, I am going to close up and go deal with it, yeah sorry for the inconvenience."
You hung up the phone and looked at Izaya who had an amused look on his face, "You lied to your boss that's not good, [Y/N]-Chan."
"Yeah I rather lie to him then tell that you're here and need help," you say coldly helping Izaya to his feet to take him to your apartment that wasn't too far away.
When you finally reached your apartment, you saw that someone was waiting outside your door.
"Hi Shinra," Izaya said weakly waving at the man.
"I take your who this idiot called," you say flatly shoving Izaya to the wall to open your apartment door.
"Yeah, I am Shinra," he said following you into your apartment with Izaya.
"I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but can you fix him up, so he can go home and leave me the heck alone," you say narrowing your eyes at Izaya, "Also I am [Y/N]."
"Why are you so mean to me [Y/N]-Chan?" Izaya asked with his best hurt face he could pull of in his conidiation.
You roll your eyes at how pit if full he was acting.
Shinra had Izaya remove his shirt so he could get a good look at the wound, "Wow it looks like someone already did my job for the most part," Shinra joked undoing all the work you had done to get a better look.
"Well, how bad is it let me guess he's going to die at any time and there's nothing we can do?" You say joking you were bored and when you got bored things got weird.
Back in the first grade you had got bored with what a teacher was talking about and instead of doing anything a normal little kid might have you walked over to your teacher and stabbed her with a pencil. Of course, your parents paid to have it covered up and after that, they sent you to counseling, but let's just say that made things worse.
"Well I am done and no he's going to be perfectly fine, but he shouldn't move around for at least a few days," Shinra said cleaning up his stuff.
"Well, he can still go home right?" You asked with a raised brow in hope that you weren't stuck with him.
"I live in Shinjuku that's a little far for me to walk the way I am," Izaya said with a devilish grin.
"As a doctor, I would advise for him to stay here for a while," Shinra said having all his supplies that he had brought packed back up, "Well I have to get going."
With that Shinra left you alone with Izaya. You looked over to where Izaya was, he had made himself right at home on your couch.
"[N/N]-Chan~" Izaya cooed waving for you to come to him.
"What do you want Izaya?" You asked with a stern tone.
"I am hungry," he said playing with the TV remount.
You sighed. "How does fatty tuna sound?" You asked thinking you would just go to Russia Sushi.
"That sounds good, are you making it?" Izaya asked looking at you with hopeful eyes.
"Ugh... I guess I can, but I need to run to the market to get some stuff," you say walking to the door, "I'll be back, and please don't destroy my apartment will I am gone."
Izaya just smiled and nodded his head and went back to watching TV. With that, you left to go fetch supplies for food and a few other things for the unwanted guest...
