Now That I See You

Pairing: Damien Haas x Reader

Summary: Damien knew he wanted to be with you since you two first met, and now he wants to start writing the next chapter for your happy ending

A/n: so I recently saw a TikTok of Damien singing "I See The Light" and I KNEW I had to write something

You and Damien decided to take a trip to Disneyland, treating yourselves to a well-deserved trip.

Now as you two were very busy in your careers, you haven't been hanging out as much as you like to. So why not enjoy a day Disney bounding like one of your favorite characters: Rapunzel and Flynn Rider?

"I can't believe we haven't done this together." You said, taking a bite of a sweet treat you bought at a food stand.

"We really picked a good day to go out too. Perfect weather, not too crowded, and I get to spend it with my princess." Damien said, squeezing your hand gently.

You started to blush a shade of pink and you kissed Damien's cheek, making him match the same rosy cheeks as you.

"Excuse me?" a young voice said.

You both turn around and see a young girl, probably around the age of 6, dressed head to toe like the Tangled princess herself next to her parents.

"Are you Rapunzel?" She asks, her eyes beginning to widen with anticipation.

"I'm sorry, the Rapunzel meet and greet closed when we got here. She's been wanting to meet her so bad." The mom whispered for you two to hear.

You mouthed an 'Oh' quickly before you knelt down, smiling.

"Why, yes I am! And may I say you have a lovely dress, Princess..."

"Malia! Princess Malia." She said, courtesying.

"Why it's very lovely to meet you, Princess Malia. Eugene, isn't she just stunning?" You ask, staring up at Damien.

He brightens as he gets in character.

"Why she is, Blondie. It's very nice to meet you, too." Damien said, bowing down to her.

"Why's your hair purple?" She asks, pointing up at Damien.

"Oh! Um, I ate a plum, not knowing it's cursed. It made my hair purple! We're trying to find a magic item to break the spell." he replied quickly, making the young girl scrunch her nose and then laugh.

"Silly prince," she said, making you almost chuckle.

She turns around and jumps up and down.

"Mommy, can I take a picture with Rapunzel and Eugene?" she asks.

"I'm not sure baby, they have to go break the spell, remember?" she said, not wanting to impose on your time.

"Oh, we don't mind! I'd love to capture this moment too if that's alright." You said, making Malia squeal with joy.

The mom mouthed a quick thank you as you and Damien posed with the young girl. Damien stepped out of the picture so it could just be you two.

"Thank you again for doing this, Malia is going to remember this for the rest of her life." the dad said to Damien.

"Of course! I'm glad we got to make her wish come true." Damien said, seeing how Malia was still talking to you and you looked like your heart was about to burst with cuteness.

"You guys are great with kids, are you two married or...?"

Damien looks back at the dad, a bit startled.

"Oh uh, no. We've been together for 2 years now."

"Well, you two look very much in love. I look at my wife every day and I'm thankful I got to ask her to marry me." The dad concluded, walking over to his little family.

That night when Damien came back to his apartment, he was on his phone, endlessly scrolling for the perfect ring to propose you with.

"You look beautiful," Damien said, leaning by the door frame as he came to pick you up.

"Why thank you, you look quite dashing yourself." You said, putting the finishing touches on your makeup.

It's been four months since that day in Disneyland, and today you two were going to shoot a music cover together, singing "I See The Light" from the Tangled soundtrack.

It was Damien's idea, and you guys have been rehearsing for about a month. He asked Courtney to help out with recording and Shayne to set up some decorations by a park.

You and Damien walked over since it was close to your apartment and saw your friends brighten up.

"Aw, it looks so good guys! This has to be the most beautiful set I've recorded at." You said, noticing the decorative lanterns and the purple and pink flowers.

"Yeah, once it hits 6:00 pm we should capture the golden hour..." Courtney said, showing you how her camera can capture the scene, making you preoccupied.

Shayne goes up to Damien who falls silent, walking back and forth on a stone path.

"Hey, it's going to be alright." Shayne reassured his friend.

"I know, it's just - jitters I guess."

"Trust me, she's going to say yes, I think it's better than me practicing with you."

Damien laughs, remembering how he and Shayne would use the weekend when Shayne would take your place and pretend how you'd react once Damien popped the question.

"Thank you, for everything you and Court have been doing. I couldn't ask for better friends."

Shayne proudly smiles as he quickly hugs his friend, trying not to cry.

"You're doing great man. Let's get you ready." Shayne concluded, patting Damien's shoulder as the two walk over to you and Courtney.

She helped direct your positions as you began to perform.

You turn at Damien, smiling and he felt a flutter in his chest. Then, he too began to sing.

All those days chasing down a daydream All those years living in a blur All that time, never truly seeing Things the way they were Now she's here, shining in the starlight Now she's here, suddenly I know If she's here, it's crystal clear I'm where I'm meant to go

You and Damien held each other's hands as you looked lovingly in each other's eyes.

And at last I see the light And it's like the fog has lifted And at last I see the light And it's like the sky is new And it's warm and real and bright And the world has somehow shifted All at once, everything is different Now that I see you Now that I see you

And that's when Damien knew in this moment, that this was it. Time slowed down when he began to kneel on one knee. You looked confused as Damien was still looking up at you. It wasn't until he tries to reach for something in his pocket

"Dami?" You whisper in a small voice, now chocked up.

"When we went to Disney Land together, you made this little kid's dreams come true. And then suddenly, the world somehow shifted. I wanted to have a new dream with you. So..."

He says your full name as his smile becomes brighter.

"... will you marry me?"

You start nodding right away as you lower yourself where he is, beginning to cry.

"Yes! Yes, I will marry you." You said.

Both of you begin to cry as you hold onto each other. Damien slides the ring on your finger as he looks at you with so much love. You two stand up and you look back at your friends who caught the whole thing.

Shayne was slightly crying as Court was comforting him.

"You don't know how long we've been waiting for this." Court replied, making you all chuckle.

"What do you mean? I've been dying to do this for two years!" Damien added.

You playfully roll your eyes as you allow yourself in Damien's embrace, feeling like this is where you belong, right here in this moment.

Winx Club,W.i.t.c.h,Totally Spies,The Powerpuff Girls,Kim Possible and MLP are feminist even if they have their flaws and they're brought in a girly packaging because they're meant to be heroes for little girls

Johnny Test is fine and y'all are weird fow visceral your reaction to it was

Percy Jackson and the Olympians dropped the ball by having Percy end up with Annabeth because they're 'destined to' since the point of Percy's story is that he never gets to choose what they actually want and they should've either ended up with Rachel or stayed single to work on character development and healing,Luke never actually cared about other demigods and was only using them as ammo against the gods because if he actually cared he wouldn't have abused them,Toa should've instead been a third Percy series of them destroying Olympus' corruption because they've had enough of the gods and replacing it with an actual good societal system and Percy is a super cool autistic Team Parent who'd be femme and kidcore if Rick bothered to develop their interests

Star Vs The Forces of Evil should've made trans Marco and autistic Star canon,endgamed them with Tom and Janna instead of eachother,made Jackie an mc and done none of that 'no magic' shit

Craig of the Creek only gets ignored because it's a black show that's good

And She Ra and the Princesses of Power is called cringe nonstop because it's fanbase is largely wlw and trans women who're loud and proud with their queerness and the creator at the time of it's airing identified as a nonbinary lesbian and people hate female queerness while hyping up male kinds that play into stereotypes(Stiles and Derek from Teen Wolf,Magnus and Alec from The Mortal Instruments,the Shiro/Keith discourse,the Boyfriends Webtoon,Marauder's Era even being a thing,etc.Note that i am not calling Stevenson female but rather saying he knows what lesbophobic experiences are)

I came up with something that I can't stop thinking about

It's this idea that I kinda wanna headcanon... idk it could sound lowkey weird and messed up though so I need to hear some thoughts on it

Rapunzel still has Gothel's cloak.

Or at least. had. Gothel's cloak for at least the first few weeks or maybe even months after she returned home. Does she ever get rid of it? Does she still have it now? I don't know...? Trying to think on that 😅

I know that for this to work, I'd have to answer the question of how she has the cloak. Like it's easy to say she just took it with her when she left the tower, but knowing Eugene is there, ehh.... ooh! Maybe picture this. Eugene gives Rapunzel a few minutes to pull herself together, like he has to assume she needs a moment to herself to say goodbye to the tower, maybe pack a few of her most personal possessions to take with her. He waits outside that vine entrance to give her some privacy. He doesn't know what she takes, nor does he ask. He just sees her walk out the entrance about 20 minutes later with a well sized shoulder bag that surely doesn't look as packed as he was expecting, but he doesn't dwell on it.

I like the idea that Rapunzel mourned Gothel behind closed doors, and she never ends up sharing this grief with anyone out of fear of being judged, or that they could never understand. They just couldn't understand. And ugh! What would they think of her? If they knew she harbored grief for the despicable woman that abused her? Would they think her some sort of masochist? what would Eugene think. No one could know (my writing is terrible I'm so sorry)

Mourning the woman raised her and abused her is just something she has to face alone. She couldn't let go of that cloak. It's all she had left of her. It's the only remaining relic of her past life. Like, the last thing that felt 'familiar' for a long time of that makes sense.

I just don't think anyone (apart from Eugene, who probably would understand if he knew about this) understands Rapunzel enough. No matter how much love they have for her, they don't understand how this girl who'd lived her first 18 years in captivity by a woman who left her confused about what love looks like, about what a good home looks like. Of course it was bad, of course she deserved better, of course she never wants to go back to that life, but her feelings are feelings and she just needs time. Rapunzel has to adjust and it's confusing. God she's so confused, and no one understands, like the people are just gonna expect her to fill up the missing hole she was stolen from when she was a baby and they have all these expectations for her. They all just expect her to go from having nothing to having everything like it's no big deal, and you know she's gonna ACT like it's no big deal because she doesn't want to seem ungrateful. Rapunzel doesn't want to disappoint anybody. And she can't just earn people's approval the same way she's used to. Just like Eugene, she now has to relearn who she is, and she no longer knows how to be what people want.

I know we all talk a lot about what the series did wrong and for good reason but what elements do you think the show did right?

Rapunzel needing to learn how to be a leader. Not only that, Rapunzel needing to learn how to exist within society. While I'm not a huge fan of "Rapunzel: Day One," one of the things I did particularly like about it was that we got to see how far she's come as a person since she left the tower.

Rapunzel and Eugene's relationship development is fantastic. It's very realistic for him to feel like he's seen the world, he's ready to settle down, and for her to feel like committing to marriage would take her much-needed freedom from her. (We all know that's wrong, but a lot of society thinks it's right, and that's likely what she would have been told.) But then! Then they spend the entirety of the series getting to know and understand each other better, so by the time we reach the epilogue of the series, he knew that him "checking in" was going to be a big, fat "yes!"

Eugene's dialogue. The vast majority of my favorite lines are Eugene's.

Varian's redemption arc, while a little rushed, was done well.

The art style and animation are gorgeous, and I love them to pieces, especially the farther into the series it got. S3 was *chef's kiss* in terms of animation.

The songs and score are, for the most part, great.

When it got dark, it got dark, and I really appreciate that. You know they had to pull punches because of the rating, but that didn't stop them from having Rapunzel nearly kill everyone with an unknown spell or having mirror doppelgangers go all body horror on us.

Whether or not the writing was good, the emotion was so well-acted and felt so genuine.

Lance Strongbow! Even though he didn't get the treatment he deserved, I love that they knew Eugene needed a friend outside of Rapunzel. That's so healthy! I love Lance as a character and as a concept. I love his humor and his voice and how he wears his heart on his sleeve. He's amazing.

A/n; okay I’ve never found anything or will write anything cuter then this probably.

You were sat snuggled up to Steve, your legs wrapped around his waist as you cling to his side. Bucky was asleep next to you both on the couch, it was supposed to be nap time but you couldn’t sleep so Steve turned on Rapunzel for you. You sucked against the silicone paci in your mouth contently watching it.

It came to the part where she shows Flynn her magical hair and heals his hand. You squealed a bit because it was your favorite part. Steve smiled and looked down at you.

“You know, daddy has magical hair too, right?” You looked up at him wide eyed “yeah, I mean look it’s so long, why does he keep it like that?” You shrugged “because it has magical abilities!” You looked over at you daddy that was asleep. “Yep, whenever you touch it you’re filled with a happy feeling right?” You nodded “that’s because it’s magic” you gasped dropping your paci onto the couch.

“You can’t tell daddy I told you though! He’ll have to cut it off if you do” you nodded before crawling your way into bucky’s lap startling him awake.

“Hi princess, what’re you doing?” You raked your fingers through his hair a grin finding its place on you mouth. “I like daddy’s hair” Bucky chuckled his arms wrapping around your waist and tugging you to his chest. “You, little one, are supposed to be asleep” he glanced at Steve who pretended to be asleep.

“I no sleep” you said and Bucky checked his watch, nap time was over in 15 minutes. He was sure he could get you to sleep for a few minutes. He pulled the blanket off of Steve and wrapped it around you popping your paci back into your mouth. Bucky turned down the tv and rocked you back & forth softly patting your back.

Within moments you were sunk down in his chest eyes shut, asleep. Bucky could always get you to sleep easily, which none of his friends seemed to believe because of his ‘I hate everyone’ demeanor.

Over the next few days you clung to Bucky more then Steve which is abnormal, you always clung to Steve more he was a softer daddy then Bucky. Bucky would’ve just assumed you wanted him if it wasn’t for you constantly touching his hair. Braiding it,playing with it, chewing it,all of it. What had you so infatuated with his hair? He’d ask and you would just shrug or say it’s pretty.

You followed Bucky into his study soft thudding following the bigger thuds of his boots. “Daddyyyy” you called out as Bucky sat down on a couch. You were in his lap in a matter of seconds reaching for his hair he stopped you.

“Why’re so infatuated with my hair baby?” He asked and you shrugged squirming under his hold. “Tell daddy why, I know there’s a reason” Bucky said and you shook your head “can’t!” You whined. Bucky was right. There was a reason. “Would you tell daddy if he gave you a lolipop?” He asked and you nodded.

Bucky sighed and lifted the two of you up shifting you to his left hip as he walked into the kitchen grabbing a lolipop. “You promise to tell daddy” you nodded and he handed it to you. You unwrapped it and placed it in your mouth smiling. “Okay, why’s daddy’s hair so important” “it’s magical daddy” he chuckled sitting you on the kitchen island.

“What? No it’s not who told you that?” You smiled “so you don’t have to cut it off?” You asked and Bucky smiled “no baby, nobody is cutting anything off” you sighed happily. “Who told you all this?” Bucky asked and you smiled “dada did, the other day during nap time” you weren’t good a keeping secrets, awful at it.

“Mhm, he did did he?” Bucky chuckled “I think daddy deserves a little punishment” you nodded “you wanna help daddy?” “Yes!!” You said smiling.

Steve was upstairs making up his and bucky’s bed when a loud crash sounded. “What the heck?” He walked downstairs to see you on the floor with pots and pans around you. “Princess!” He rushed over to you and he gasped seeing blood on you hand.

Bucky finally came in “baby! What were you doing?” You whined “I wanted to help” you said and Steve sighed “baby you’re hurt” you shrugged “it’s okay daddy can fix it” Bucky chuckled “what?” “You fix it, with your hair”

Steve groaned this really did come back to bite him in the butt. “Honey no, let dada fix it” you shifted away from him. “But you said daddy had magical hair!” You defend and Steve glanced over at Bucky who was breaking, he was holding back a smile.

“Oh god, I can’t do it” Bucky burst into laughter and you smiled “what is going on?” Steve asked and Bucky grabbed a napkin wiping the fake blood from your hand. “It was just a joke, I knocked over the pans. She’s not hurt” Steve stood up and crossed his arms glaring at the pair of you.

“Hey, you deserved it! You told her I have magical hair? Seriously punk.” Bucky lifted you up as you smiled at dada. “You told him?” “He gave me a lollipop” you defended “you sold me out for candy” you nodded “don’t feel bad she would’ve sold me out for it too” steve laughed knowing it was true.

“I still like daddy’s hair” you said and Bucky smiled kissing your forehead. “Thank you baby, and no I’m not cutting it off” he said giving Steve a look. “Yay!” You cheer reaching up to play with the ends of it. “One of these days you’re gonna cause something like this to happened you know” Bucky said and Steve smiled. “Yeah, probably”.

Talk about Varian

IM ALWAYS READY TO TALK ABOUT THAT LOSER!! get ready

-> one thing i’ve been thinking SO hard about lately is the potential of a lady caine and varian friendship. imagine it. she lost her dad and varian thought he lost his which drove them to seek revenge against and grow to hate the royal family. they both get thrown in prison. and basically forgotten about. A FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THEM WOULD BE SO FUNNY he would probably think she was soooo cool. wait imagine if they had cells near each other in prison. imagine if she saw the things he went through w andrew in prison and thought hm wow that was insane and fucked up. what if they meet again later on like post s3 and become sorta pals and feel like they can vent their lingering resentment toward royalty w each other and just like. idk talk about all the shit they went through. WHAT THEN HUH

-> related i get so emo about varian repressing his trauma and like, outwardly it seems like he got over everything that happened to him with the blizzard/amber/prison/etc etc but really it was more relief that rapunzel forgave him and was able to free quirin so it felt like everything should be FINE and it would easy to just leave everything in the past so he tries and he thinks he’s getter better and doing well but he’s really getting so much worse and refuses to address or process any of the shit he went through until it all majorly comes crashing down a while later. there are these little signs in the way he behaves like he acts weirdly reckless sometimes and will put himself in bad situations, just starts to exhibit signs of what happened to him. iykyk u know we know. and it’s so hard for him to rationalize this and accept this bc his feelings are so complicated bc he would tell himself that he deserved to be treated that way or even liked it because he was so lonely and desperate for positive attention so there’s this shame and guilt aspect that makes it 10x harder to talk about and AUGHHHHHHH. i could write an essay. this is so important to me. everyone be nice to me about this

-> okay lighter topic. something i always forget about varian is that he’s a good artist like canonically i think that’s so fun. THEREFORE: varian and rapunzel drawing/painting together. ENOUGH SAID!!!!! i love them

wait now i’m thinking more varian and rapunzel thoughts. rapunzel teaching him how to dance. rapunzel being one of the few people who’s happy to sit and listen to him ramble about chemistry n shit cuz she loves learning new things so she’s genuinely interested. they are so <3 IVE ALSO SAID BEFORE that i think varian looooves learning new languages and he’s really good at it and i think rapunzel would be too!! they just end up having lots of common interests

also i refuse to believe varian ever gets taller than her i just cant see it

-> mmfmfmfmfmf varian and ulla thoughts. the fact that they look so similar makes me crazy. i also like to imagine that his hyperactive inquisitive balls to the walls insane personality comes mostly from her too. cute but batshit 🫶🫶 also the anger issues. u know that image that’s like i inherited my mother’s anger yeah thats varian. also the idea that quirin is so protective of varian bc he feels like he couldn’t protect ulla esp when you factor in that varian is basically just a copy of her. WAUGH!!!!! i’m emo.

something something donella seeing hugo start to catch feelings for varian and being like oh so this little shit is EXACTLY like his mother. bc it reminds her of how she loved ulla but could never have her. and it makes her hate varian sooo bad. girl rein in the projection

That was honestly a ton of fun to write and muse over :D

Yoosung

Prince Eric from 'The Little Mermaid'. I can't really put my finger on why exactly did I choose him of all princes for Yoosung. There's just something about him first being saved by Ariel and then returning the favor down the line. Risking his life to save his loved one is definitely something Yoosung would do without any hesitation. Eric's devotion to Ariel is so reminiscent of the way Yoosung is ready to pretty much sacrifice himself to keep MC safe in his own route. Plus, they're both sweethearts!

Zen

Prince Naveen from 'The Princess and the Frog'. While there are clear differences in attitude between them, I couldn't help but think of Naveen the second I got to Zen. Naveen's charisma, charm and his journey to become a better person, both for his own happiness and for those he holds dear is so similar to Zen's own path in life. And hey, they're both so adorably flirty and giddy with their SO! These two would definitely become great buddies. I can imagine them performing together and absolutely wowing the crowd.

Jumin

Kristoff from 'Frozen'. Another odd couple of mine! Still, I think there's a ton of similarities between these two. Both Jumin and Kristoff are pretty reclusive in their nature, but once you get to know them a little better, you can't help but admire the warm and sincere heart hidden underneath the frost. They both had to close themselves up from the rest of the world in order to keep themselves safe. But, it never made them cruel. And they both have a cherished pet that they consider practically their family! The way Ana helps Kristoff become more open to the world is so incredibly similar to Jumin's route and it makes me very happy :)

Saeyoung

Flynn Ryder from 'Tangled'. Yeah, I think that's an obvious choice right there lol. These two share so many similarities it's borderline uncanny. Just tell me that the description of a lovable cunning thief with a heart of gold does not describe Saeyoung to a t. They both got a great sense of humor and the way we slowly learn of Ryder's true caring nature as the trust between him and Rapunzel grows is so reminiscent of the journey that we go through by Saeyoung's side. I just think they're neat.

Jihyun

The Beast from 'The Beauty and the Beast'. I know that this role is usually reserved for Saeran, but my take on it is more of a metaphorical one. I just really like the idea of Jihyun viewing himself as a beast that can only hurt those he holds dear and mess everything up. The way his burdens lay heavy on his exhausted shoulders... how he refuses to let anyone in, both for their own safety and because he thinks that he doesn't deserve that sort of kindness. While the Beast and Jihyun do not share much in terms of attitude, there's something so incredibly beautiful in the way that they both transform, inside and out, as a symbol of their internal growth. Saeran

I'm going with GE Saeran here, since I just don't know enough prince's to pick one for each version of him lol. For Saeran, I pick Prince Charming from 'Cinderella'! Okay, well, if I'm being more precise here, it's Prince Charming from the 'Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time'. This movie has NO right being this good, and it holds a very special place in my heart. There's no deep reason why I associate Prince Charming with Saeran - they're just painfully similar in the way that they behave, and it makes me squeal from delight and crack up all at the same time. Seriously, check out this movie while imagining Saeran in the place of Prince Charming, and you will never unsee it in the best way possible. I love this dork to the moon and back and imagining him being all goofy makes me happy.

Vanderwood

Aladdin from from 'Aladdin'. Again, I just really enjoy their personalities mixed together. Plus, Aladdin is a notorious criminal, which is definitely up Vanderwood's alley. Moreso, I believe there's something so inherently lovely about Aladdin learning to stop trying to pretend someone he isn't, since that only ruined his close relationships in the long run. It was hard for Aladdin to believe that he's worthy of being loved as he is, and his main lesson was exactly that. Vanderwood definitely struggles with their self-worth, which is why I believe that they'd relate to Aladdin's journey a whole lot. Just don't catch them tearing up while watching the movie because they will deny it to the ends of time itself.

Hazbin Hotel 4 episode premiere review Part 3

Part 1 | Part 2

I got my main criticisms out of the way so now I get to have fun and gush about the stuff I enjoyed and hopefully will continue to enjoy! Because honestly even though I think the writing and pacing are objectively bad, I'm still having fun with this series like I do with Helluva Boss, and its mainly for one reason:

The voice cast is singlehandedly carrying the show.

Viv may not be great at character design or storytelling, but if she's good at one thing she is damn good at casting.

The voice cast is perfect, they all understood the assignment. Like everyone who was saying the new cast was gonna be worse than the pilot cast for the sole reason that they weren't the pilot cast were just flat out wrong. They all ate and are all easily the most enjoyable part of the series.

Erika Henningsen was the perfect choice for Charlie, she fits the role of "Disney Princess in Hell" like a glove. She's bubbly and sweet and excitable and kind! She fits this role way better than she fit the role of Cady in the Mean Girls musical (I said what I said) She sounds so much like Mandy Moore as Rapunzel, another favorite character of mine!

Blake Roman's performance???? As Angel??? Hello sir???? My jaw was on the floor during Angel's scene with Valentino because I was absolutely blown away by his performance. It was heartbreaking and raw and impactful, a stellar performance. I have a good feeling Blake Roman is gonna get the Alex Brightman treatment after this winning combination of his performance as Angel Dust and his Broadway debut in "Harmony: A New Musical". Blake Roman is a STAR

Speaking of Alex Brightman, man do I love his voice. I've been on the Alex Brightman stan train for years now, waaaaaaaaay before Helluva Boss. I've loved Alex Brightman since his performance as Dewy Finn in the School of Rock Musical (which is criminally underrated. There could not have been a better casting decision for Dewy) Hearing Alex Brightman sing a more rock style song for the first time since his School of Rock days was so so wonderful. "Hell is Forever" was the best part of ep 1 there I said it. Not to mention his performance as Sir Pentious is also quite enjoyable. All of his voice work has gotten him so much positive exposure too! I'm so glad he's getting all the love and attention he deserves after being so underrated for so long. Its like the universe is apologizing for kicking Beetlejuice out of the Winter Garden Theater and replacing it with the Music Man and also robbing him of his Tony back in 2019. (Alex Brightman deserved Best Male Lead in a Musical at the 2019 Tony's argue with the wall)

Christian Borle as Vox was such a fun choice! I've also been a Christian Borle stan for many years now, since I listened to the "Legally Blonde" musical for the first time back in 2017 where he played Emmett Forrest. I'm always happy to hear one of my Broadway faves perform in something, and I was thrilled to find out he was going to be part of the cast!

Lili Cooper as Velvette was also a pleasant surprise! She killed it. She's brash and loud and confident and the accent was a nice touch too! Loved her as Sandy in the Spongebob musical, love her as Velvette.

I don't really have much to say about the rest of the main and supporting cast, they all sound great! I can't wait to hear Jeremy Jordan as Lucifer, Leslie Kritzer as Roise and Darren Criss as St. Peter!

And last but not least, Amir Talai as Alastor. Holy shit is he fun! Amir Talai was the voice that inspired Alastor in the first place, so I'm glad they got him in the cast! I kept seeing people say that he wasn't "intimidating enough" as a Alastor and that he was much weaker than Edward Bosco and all I have to say is:

How does it feel to be wrong?

Because Amir Talai ATE THIS UP. He devoured. Not a CRUMB IN SIGHT. I get all giggly when I hear him sing "let's begin", its so playfully sinister and perfect and lovely. Every single line delivery is perfect.

But even with such a spectacularly talented Broadway cast, the decision to make Hazbin a full on musical was.....interesting. Helluva Boss is similar because they have at least one song per episode, but Hazbin has two, and sometimes they're kind of shoehorned in with no buildup. Ep 3 is the biggest offender of this. I enjoyed Lili Cooper singing "Respectless" but the song was unnecessary. Neither one of the songs in ep 3 made any sense and honestly felt like they were there to fill the quota of "two songs per episode". "It Starts With Sorry" in ep 2 was also kinda weird, but not unforgivable.

The best songs so far are easily "Stayed Gone", "Poison" and "Losers, Baby". All three are bangers and everyone slayed. "Happy Day in Hell" is fun, feels like a typical Disney song, and "Hell is Forever" also slaps, but both songs have a lot of unnecessary swearing that throws them off course.

So yep that's pretty much it for my positives about Hazbin! I'll happily keep watching Hazbin just to hear the cast continuing to slay.

Everyone is giving their predictions of the new musical so I thought I would join in. Some of these I genuinely think could very possibly happen, some I really wish will.

• Bryce's character will be an absolute girlboss. No questions asked.

• Lesbians somewhere. Everyone wants it to be the main characters. I just want them somewhere. I have a good feeling that this show will include the gays somehow.

• Some Starkids that I don't believe will be in this show are Joey and Angela. I love them both so much but I think they are both extra busy right now and I just don't think they will be in this one.

• Some Starkid friends might be in this one (Mary Kate Wiles, Esther Fallick, Tessa Netting, etc.) not so sure about this one, though.

• This will be Jae's first stage show with Starkid.

• Chanse will finally join Starkid. Maybe not if Angela isn't in the show, but if she is I think he very possibly will join. Medieval seems like a theme he would love.

• The stage set will be sickening.

• We will all be simping for medieval Kim.

• It will have pirates in it somehow. I was skeptical when everyone was saying this but now that we know it is medieval themed for sure, I think it is very possible.

• It will have a new iconic villain that everyone is gonna love.

• Lauren will reprise her role as a little (british?) boy.

• This will be the largest Starkid show cast ever.

• Joe will finally return. He has been doing a lot of acting stuff again lately and I think it could be possible. I will not say probably, and if he doesn't want to ever I fully understand and respect that.

• Jaime will have a bigger role than usual. She deserves it, and I mean just imagine her in a classic medieval knight sort of look. She would slay (pun intended).

• Nick might finally get back on the stage for maybe at least a short scene as a silly side character. I think he could have a lot of fun with a silly medieval character.

• This one is just something that randomly came to my mind over the hours of fantasizing about this show. I imagined Bryce's character and a character played by Curt that both have like similar to a Eugene/Rapunzel dynamic and personalities but completely platonic. This one is random and not really a prediction but I loved this idea.

• Matt Dahan will work a lot with Jeff Blim on the music for this one. If you have heard Matt's musical Starry, I feel like that music style would fit well in a medieval setting. So I think the style will be similar.

• I think it will be their most serious musical yet, but obviously still lots of humor throughout. Like if you say Black Friday is 50/50 funny and serious, this will be 60/40.

• I saw some good reasons why this will be very DnD themed so I agree with that. But do keep in mind that Nick has already stated that though we are leaving the Hatchetfield series, they aren't doing anymore parodies. So this will just be inspired by stuff like how Hatchetfield was.

• I am going to be brutally honest on this one, something tells me this is not gonna be one of my favorites. More on the quite lower side of my list. I love medieval stories but I am skeptical at how well Starkid will handle it. I also feel like their writing and humor has strayed a lot from the old Starkid, which some people seem to think is better but imo I heavily prefer the early days of Starkid to more recent stuff. But at the same time I love every single one of their shows so it being on he lower side doesn't mean much. I am sure I will love it, I just don't think it is gonna be their best.

My experience as a Tangled the series / Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure fan.

Why hello there, it's a pleasure to meet you and welcome to my rant of myself. Today, I'll be talking about my experiences of being a TTS / RTA fan and why I've been wanting to express my opinions as such don't read if you don't feel like wanting to hear my pet peeves as one of the fans of the show and fandom.

﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌

SO! What I've been doing more often is posting things relating to the fandom itself, I used to post 100% content of Varian. Due to first not knowing about the fandom at first and I've been a Varian fan or stan of the show, I used to act a bit exaggerated and weird but soon. As I learned about the fandom of RTA / TTS, I started to design characters from the show other than Varian. That's not saying that I'll not be posting Varian content, it's just that I admire Varian more like a friend than a crush. Hence why I sound neutral about Varian and not a hyper-loving fan of him. I continued to post content based on any character from the show, except those who are difficult to design in Gacha mods (Yes, I use Gacha mods even though I appreciate Gacha club) but all I'm saying is that I admire characters and not just Varian since even though Cassandra has done worst things, and even if Rapunzel denied and betrayed Cassandra and Varian. I wouldn't wanna blame Rapunzel, since I view myself as her. The one who betrays the trust and promise of either my friends or such, Rapunzel denied Varian's promise but for reasons. She must protect her kingdom from the blizzard, and her parents were in danger her boyfriend and friends went to go save them and there was a good chance they weren't coming back. Varian caught her at a bad time and what happened sucks, I slightly felt bad about Varian but I feel more about Rapunzel and non of it was her fault. I know I may sound like I hate Varian but no, I just view him pretty negatively I soon grew into him in season 3 once he reformed but even then I slightly forgive him and even if I post Varian content, I would write it in a neutral sense.

Next was my boy, Eugene. I absolutely love him a whole lot in the series, he's one of my favourite characters besides Rapunzel of course. I would love to listen to more songs about him, it brings joy to my heart. He deserved more screen time in the series and a friendship with Lance as his partner in crime and Varian as a team awesome group with Lance and has a couple of romantic moments with Rapunzel, his soon-to-be wife.

And he is fucking hilarious and look at his face.

LOOK AT HIM, HE'S ONE OF THE CUTEST BOYFRIEND AND SOON-TO-BE HUSBAND OF RAPUNZEL AND I DON'T CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT THAT TOPIC.

And he doesn't get any love, come on.

And his dynamic with Lance is hilarous.

Now, for Cassandra. Well, I am not mad at her at all even though the rest of the fandom is mad at her for her villain arc, she might've been a petty, manipulative, two-faced monster just like her mother and she may commit severe crimes like:

Malefic

High treason

Theft

Abuse of power

Psychological and emotional abuse

Usurpation

Mass destruction

Torture

Kidnapping

Attempted mass murder

Slander

Extortion

The drugging of a minor

Aiding and abetting

Brainwashing

Enslavement

Terrorism

Animal cruelty

Identity theft

Vandalism

Pollution

Fraud

Sabotage

Gaoling

Blackmail

Conspiracy

And I too thought that the king or queen would provide some sort of punishment for Cassandra but they set her free since one user of mine said "I think the reason why she didn’t get arrested and got help was because Rapunzel was in charge and not Fredric. Fredric was in charge of Varian’s arrest and that was handled terribly, while Rapunzel handled Cassandra’s. I do also think that Cass got some punishment off-screen, she’s not the type of character who would be ok with getting away with her crimes, but I just wish we saw that for justification."

Lance is so fucking underrated this dude wasn't even talked about at all in the fandom and I wished that people to talk about him since I love Lance, he is the first black character and that's right, he is voiced by James Monroe Iglehart a African-American person. And him being the father (or adoptive father) of Kiera and Catalina is wholesome as hell, it's so cute to see him with children.

If any of you who are fans of Lance, I would love to hear your opinion on him.

﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌

Now the underdog himself, Varian. While yes, Varian is voiced by none other than Jeremy Jordan. So it makes sense the fandom would show their love to these characters. He is a fan favourite of the bunch, as he is well-known in the fandom to be one of if not the most relatable and sympathetic villains like Cassandra and Eugene. He is the only one who has character development.

He might've done crimes like:

Kidnapping

Assault

Aiding and abetting

Attempted regicide

Terrorism

Usurpation

Mass brainwashing

Conspiracy

Sabotage

Animal cruelty

Vandalism

Theft

Treason

But the king actually cared about Varian and Rapunzel warned him by saying "Don't be too hard on him, Dad." and he valued her discussion, since he accepts his daughter a whole lot and even mentioned this. "I'll be sure to do everything I can to get him help."

And yes, I do prefer the king's concern over this.

This may come across as valuable but he placed Varian in an adult prison since either a) he messed with grown up stuff and committed crimes that may come across as one adult would do or b) he did so out of pureness to keep him safe only for him to be manipulated by adults.

Who knows.

Varian showed some remorse and shame for his past deeds and thought that he could never be forgiven, which was why he teamed up with Andrew and the Separatists of Saporia to erase everyone's memories so that he could have a fresh start and be friends with Rapunzel again. However, by Rapunzel's compassion and the Separatists' change of plan, Varian turned over a new leaf and helped the princess and her friends save Corona. His rekindled friendship with Rapunzel soon gave him back his dad and the forgiveness of Corona.

And he is admirable and funny. And he does have a trusted friend named Ruddiger which is the most cutest dynamic ever, like an owner and pet relationship.

Why do I analyze Varian way more than any character? WHY?

And now Rapunzel, she is by far my second favourite character. And I especially loved her romance between her and Eugene as well as her friendship with Cassandra, both Eugene and Punzie might be the most cutest couple ever.

I wished they stayed like this.

I think about this a lot... like... A LOT.

Fred and Ari would be amazing parents. And they deserved that so much! The fact they never moved on from Rapunzel shows just how much love they had.

Off the top of my head I can think of so many WIPs I have with Fred and Ari getting to raise a kid or two, from 'Chance to Raise Them', 'Gothel Guardians of the Sundrop', and some Tangled Sisters AUs.

It just brings me sooo much joy!

It's one of the stuff I revert to writing whenever I need something to just bring comfort!

And any fics that also feature this I'd love to hear recs xD (even if I won't be able to read for a few days, got some stuff to do)

Did I mention Once in a Vampire Diaries book. Yes I did!! But these are my two favorite fandoms 😁

Writing away at another letter I was sitting on one of the long coaches in the art room. Moving one hand over my grown belly I smiled knowing that it would only be a few more months and we would have baby number five on our hands to deal with. “How’s our littlest one doing this morning?” Klaus strided into the room, hands behind his back.

Leaning my head back against the armrest of the couch I reach out with my freehand for him. “The baby’s fine. Thankfully this one isn’t kicking my ribs like Henrik was. But I just wish that the baby’s due date would come already.”

“I know. You would think the vampire blood in your system would speed up a miracle pregnancy.” He responded by picking me up by my waist with his strength and sitting me down on his lap when he had taken my spot.

Picking up the tv remote I turned it onto Disney plus showing the show Once Upon A Time. Laying my head on his chest where he ran his fingers through my hair. “I was thinking we could name our boy or girl after characters in this show.”

“What the bloody hell is OUAT, Raelyn?” He cursed watching the episode that I was on where Snow and Charming first met.

Shifting in his lap so I was facing him I started explaining with a huge smile on my face. “So they’re all fairytale characters that get sent to the real world by the evil queen. But they can’t remember who they really are.”

“So the evil queen compelled an entire kingdom and decided to create a town they can never leave.” Klaus knitted his brows together seeing Emma and Henry talking about the story book. “If that’s the case then how does she not know that her son is right about everything?”

Throwing my hands down in my lap I huffed and shook my head at him like his question was ridiculous. “Come on, Nik. If they told you that in the first two minutes then it wouldn’t be a good series.”

“My apologies, love.” He held his hands up in surrender. “So what names did you have in mind? Are we naming it Emma if it’s a girl?”

Flipping through my notebook I showed him a list of names I had written down and Emma was at the top of the list with a question mark. “I have been considering it. But Emma might be too normal and Swan doesn’t really work as a first name with Mikaelson.”

“It could work considering her mother is named Snow after all. What else do you have on the list?” He tapped his fingers on my knees.

Pointing to the next two names I could tell he was mostly just staring at me and only half paying attention to what I was saying. “I started looking through the Disney movies and came across Nala or Rapunzel for a girl. Then Robin and Naveen. I personally love the name Rapunzel since most of our kids have unique names. Niklaus, are you even paying attention?”

“I’m sorry Rae. I just get distracted when you’re this passionate about this.” Shifting my gaze up to his blue orbs he had his eyes focused on me but he had a genuine smile across his face and hadn’t said a word.

Glaring lightly at him I snapped back. “Yes but this is important, Nik. We need to find a name that we both like for the baby after all.”

“Raelyn, you could name it anything you want and I will still love it Judas much as you and our four other children. You have given me more than I ever thought I deserved. You are my own fairytale princess.” He rested a hand to the side of my face and I leaned into his palm.

“Will you ever stop being so Charming?” It clicked with me seconds afterwards so I snatched up the notebook crashing my lips onto his in excitement. “Charming, that’s it. Charming Mikaelson!”

He nuzzled his nose into mine pulling me back down so we were watching the tv show holding each other in their arms. “Settle down, Rae. The doctor said you’re supposed to be resting. Let’s see this show you got me invested in.” He hit play on the remote with me intertwining my hand with his.

Shooting my eyes awake I frantically began looking around until my eyes focused on blonde-brown hair and deep blue eyes of a familiar face. “Valerie….what are you doing here?”

“You’re husband refused to stop blowing up my cell until I came rushing to his aid. He told me that he couldn’t hear the baby's heartbeat.” She explained sitting at the edge of the hospital bed I was laying in.

Shooting upright almost I winced feeling someone kick me in the stomach meaning it must have been the baby. But then there was another harsher kick afterwards. “What! Ah ow - something must be wrong - I just urrr- there’s a different kick.”

The hospital room door opened with Klaus dragging in the doctor that we had picked to help us with delivery. “Valerie, tell her what she needs to do to protect our baby.”

“Babies you mean.” She turned her head quickly between me and my husband.

Gripping the side of the bed I gulped pushing my back against the pillows as much as I could. “Babies…are you serious. How didn’t we know that before now?”

“Apparently the second baby had cloaked itself until the night you were kidnapped. So I am to assume that after you had been shot in the gut the babies cloaked themselves. As a way of protection that’s why you couldn’t hear their heartbeats.” Valerie explained focusing back on Klaus.

Dr. Lana sent me a confused look that she had on her face. “Did she just say they were cloaked as magical babies?”

“Nik.” I warned him.

“Don’t worry, Rae. I’ll compel her later.” He sent me a head nod looking back at the doctor. “Now in your medical opinion is she ready to deliver or not. Because my wife nearly died and I’d like to know my children are safe.”

Dr. Lana ran a hand through her hair avoiding my gaze for a moment. I was only eight months pregnant so I wasn’t full term yet. “Uh we would have to do a C-section. I don’t think that it would be wise for her to try and deliver before she is full term. So I will go prep for surgery and a nurse will come help you Mrs. Mikaelson.” She left the room leaving the three of us in the room.

Klaus came over to my side holding my hand in his left kissing my palm. “I’m sorry I didn’t stay with you last night, Rae. And you got hurt because of me.”

“Nik, don’t. It wasn’t your fault. We just should be happy that we have two babies instead of just one.” I chuckled trying to not act concerned that one of the wooden bullets didn’t injure either infant.

He leans down kissing my forehead. “I love you, Rae. And I’m not leaving your side.”

The nurse came into the room giving me an iv in my left hand. Valerie chose to wait in the room knowing Nik wouldn’t leave my side the entire time. The nurses rolled me into the room with two doctors who came in with Lana wearing their scrubs and everything. Squeezing Nik’s hand in mine I didn’t remove my gaze from him when they put me to sleep. I don’t know how long it had been before I blinked my eyes slowly, waking up noticing that Nik was laying at my bedside still holding my hand. “Oh good you’re awake. I was hoping to catch you at the right moment to show you your little ones.”

“Oh my gosh….did everything go okay?” Shifting myself upright, Nik woke up seeing Valerie roll in a cart with two little babies laying down on it.

Valerie gently picked up the first baby, placing it in my arms. “Here’s your little girl.” Feeling happy tears coming down my face the infant opened her eyes and I saw she had bright blue eyes and the hair that she had looked bright blonde. I was shocked that she almost had a full head of hair already.

“And this is the boy.” The heretic picked up the other baby, handing it over to Klaus.

He parted his lips with a huge grin bouncing the baby boy in his arms. “He’s just as precious as Henrik was.” He mumbled seeing that he also looked exactly like his sister.

“So have you figured out any names for these two or at least one since you didn’t know you had twins again.” Valerie put her hands together smiling at the two of us.

Lifting my gaze from the babygirl I looked at my husband sending him a huge grin. “I’ll name the boy. Klaus, you name the girl…he should be Charming Robin Mikaelson.”

Klaus nodded in agreement thinking for a moment before he knew the perfect name that I would love. “Rapunzel Swan Mikaelson.” He sits down at the edge of the bed so I could get a better look at the boy and he could see our little girl.

I know you have your own preferences for your favorite TTS characters which is totally valid but despite all the craziness that happened bts of tts which of the characters do you think are the best written characters in the show?

Can I say Pascal and Maximus? XD

Honestly, with the exception of him allowing Rapunzel's opinions to influence his own so strongly (especially in season three), I don't have an issue with Eugene's characterization, overall. I've never had a problem with him being comic relief - he's comic relief in the movie, after all, while still having his serious moments - and his sense of humor and dry wit basically mirror my own. It's his story arc I have a problem with, not how he's written.

Lance gets similar feedback. Other than not really having much in the way of an arc or growth, I love how he's written. I love how he's unashamed to be himself, and how he just goes for anything he wants.

Varian isn't badly written, at all. His motivations to villainy drive me crazy, but in a, "I want him to see the error of his ways and recover," kind of way. There's a difference between being mad a a character and being mad at the content creator for what they made a character do, and with Varian, I was always mad at him (when I was mad at him, at all). That's good writing.

Kiera and Catalina as a duo are written so well. They're very convincing little kids who have a tough life and learn to soften up, lighten up a bit, and trust people, while still maintaining their personalities. And hell, Catalina grows, in that regard!

I genuinely love Calliope. I love how she's an obnoxious know-it-all, and she's allowed to be that way, without being an antagonist. It's not often you get women characters who are so annoying, but still good guys!

Lady Caine was well-written, when she was present. She deserved way more screen time.

King Trevor. Need I say more? He's just the sort of bombastic villain I've been missing.

you've mentioned that you're anti-redemption arc? i think? so i kind of wanted to ask what you meant by that? are you against redemption arcs as a concept (like you think they shouldn't be used in writing) or is it more like you're against like the expectation a lot of people have for every character reformation to be a redemption? or is it something else?

when i say redemption arc what i’m referring to specifically is villain-to-hero arcs that are structured around absolution through suffering and forgiveness—the, not to put too fine a point on it lmao, Christian Model.

cassandra’s arc is a perfect example.

1. she sins—stealing the moonstone, usurping rapunzel’s rightful destiny

2. she suffers—spending more than a year beholden to a cruel demon who uses her as an unwitting pawn and then brutally stabs her in the back when her usefulness ends

3. she repents—sobbing and castigating herself to rapunzel, who embraces, forgives, and comforts her

4. & she’s absolved by that grace, literally paying the debt of her wrongdoing with her life and then being resurrected through rapunzel’s love for her—after which everything is gravy and she gets to skip off happily into the sunset without a care.

notably absent here is any narrative engagement or reckoning with:

1. the actual wrong things cassandra did

2. the wrongs done to cassandra

3. her reasons for acting this way

4. the systemic injustices that created her

5. genuine healing or atonement

and then the fandom collapsed into the same tired argument that always happens when a villain is given a redemption arc without undergoing the optional step of atonement, which boils down to one side going “she didn’t deserve forgiveness! she should have been punished!” while the other goes “she literally died! of course she deserves to be forgiven! hasn’t already suffered enough?” or sometimes trotting out the ol’ “the point of forgiveness is that it isn’t something you can earn” bit.

i adore villain-to-hero arcs. i also love hero-to-villain arcs. i am ALL ABOUT characters undergoing huge realignments of perspective or morality or motive that wrench them from one side of their narrative to the other. but i like to, you know, see it

and the thing is, the classic redemption arc—those narrative beats of temptation, fall to sin, suffering, repentance, absolution—it’s not really about character growth, good or bad: it’s a christian moral fantasy that arose from the narrative structure of 15-16thc european morality plays and metastasized into the western storytelling tradition, fantasy and science fiction in particular. it is inseparable from christianity and the profoundly christian idea that choice and deeds are irrelevant to moral goodness because salvation is given by grace to those who humble themselves to ask for it.

not to be like, anti-christian on main but when i was eight or so, someone broke into our church and robbed the offering box; that weekend in sunday school the pastor’s wife got up in front of her little gaggle of children to tell us this—describing to us, with palpable indignation, how she and her husband discovered the theft, how upsetting and violating it felt, and what kind of person steals from a church?—and then she asked us how we felt about that. we were all furious, of course, in the way all eight-year-old children will be furious if you sit them down and tell them a bad person did a terrible thing to you. and then she tsked at us and primly informed us that that was the wrong answer, because jesus would say to forgive and pray for the thief, and our anger is rooted in sinful human nature and the temptations of satan. all my little—again—EIGHT YEAR OLD sunday school classmates just sort of wilted, and i very distinctly remember thinking but that’s not fair—you tricked us!

it’s been twenty years and i still get mad when i think about it. this is one of my clearest childhood memories. i didn’t have the emotional vocabulary to articulate or understand this at the time, but recognizing that the pastor’s wife had purposefully manipulated our sunday school class to make us ‘sin’ so that she could teach us a lesson about how we were bad and needed god to save us from ourselves completely obliterated my trust in the underlying moral framework of christianity.

like. hating the moral logic redemption arcs are built on top of is literally one of my key formative childhood experiences, is what i’m getting at—

and to be clear, i’m in no way opposed to heroic characters forgiving reformed villains for past misdeeds (or villains forgiving corrupted heroes lmao). the act of forgiveness in and of itself is not the bone i have to pick with redemption arcs. nor do i care if the villain switches sides without first suffering punishment or retribution or even properly apologizing: cass knocked a kingdom down and got off scot free, and i say good for her!

what i take issue with is repentance-and-forgiveness being the fulcrum of moral change—the thing that actively transforms the villain into a hero. i want character arcs that are interesting and dynamic and driven by intrinsic motivation and choices! i want characters with agency who react to things like real people instead of roles in a morality play! i want to be able to read or watch a fantasy story without getting sucker punched by bland repetitions of a moral perspective i categorically reject, especially by narratives that do not otherwise align with that moral perspective!!

i would also very much like it if fandom at large would stop calling every. single. villain-to-hero arc ever written a ‘redemption arc’ and i would LOVE it if people would stop mindlessly applying the structure and moral logic of redemption arcs to villain-to-hero arcs that aren’t that, because oh my GOD i’m tired of the endless discourse about whether the character du jour was sufficiently punished for their wrongdoing to deserve ✨forgiveness✨

if you ever want to break yourself start mentally substituting “deserves to try to be a better person” every time you read the phrase “[character] deserves a redemption arc” and then you, too, can look upon christian moral hegemony and despair
