Hey so like. I was thinking 💭
Since it's confirmed that Beyond the Spiderverse will feature Hobie's dimension in its entirety...
Tumblr media
do you think we'll see this happen? Gwen and Hobie performing together live?
And like hey wait a minute, mis amiguitos
Does this mean Miles will get to see Gwen perform live on stage???

I like to think that Rio's decision to let Miles follow Gwen was influenced by her own experience getting together with Jeff when they were young.
I think that Rio's family didn't approve of Jeff at all. He was most likely still "running the streets" with Aaron at that time, and I'll bet he just wasn't "it" in terms of what Rio's parents wanted for her. No one in Rio's family supported her in her choices. They probably outright forbade Rio from being with Jeff, and she probably had to sneak out of the house behind her family's back to even see him.
Thinking of it this way kinda makes me see that scene of Rio letting Miles be with Gwen in a whole new way, because we know that Rio and Jeff are assuming that Miles' regular absence and distancing has been him sneaking around to be with Gwen, and Rio giving him her blessing is her saying "i know you're gonna sneak around behind my back to be with her anyway, so at least let me give you my permission to do so. My family didn't support my choices, so let me at least support yours." She doesn't want to keep him locked away from this girl he wants to be with the same way her parents did to her. She doesn't want to push him to have to lie to her the same way she had to lie to her parents.

I really wish we got to see what that first month of Rapunzel and Eugene's relationship was like
Because it would've been really interesting to see the reality set in for the fact that their relationship technically began 3 days after they met--that the first month or so of them essentially being boyfriend and girlfriend will be spent actually getting to know each other. They're both gonna be discovering all these things they didn't get to see in each other in those stressful, unrelenting first three days. They'll find out about their flaws and that there are things they might not like, which is perfectly normal in any relationship of course.
But they'll also discover all these crazy new things that they'll LOVE about each other, things that didn't have time to shine in those first three days. Things three days could never do justice, and boy are they grateful that their love survived those three days. Three days wouldn't have been enough, and oh there was so SO much more to discover. So all these beautiful things could never not outweigh all the uncovered flaws, and there's never that moment when either of them think they were wrong about the other, or that they jumped into things too soon, because its still them ^u^
wish me luck eepsters, I have an oceanography exam tomorrow. this bites 😖

Ghostflower headcanon: Whenever Gwen gets injuries, big or small, Miles always kisses them, not caring about whether they're bloody injuries and getting his lips stained with her blood, because his mother would always do that to him as a child.
Gwen doesn't do the same with him (she feels too weird about doing it herself lol) but whenever Miles cries, she plants a lingering kiss on each teary eye of his. The kisses always manage to clean most of the tears and yeah now her mouth tastes all salty but she doesn't care. His eye lids are warm and his long lashes are soft and damp. She just hates seeing him cry, y'know?

(Sorry for the poor quality of the wording/weird sentence structure of these analysises, I'm not very good at explaining my thoughts heh)

I want Miles to be shown dealing with PTSD from Miguel's assault for the first third of Beyond's plot. Like even for a significant amount of time after he's been found by Gwen and the band, he's freaking out at everything. He stares at shadows, fearing that one of Miguel's loyal spiders could be lurking. He gets antsy when the gang insist on making a pit stop to rest or do something important (idk what the overall plot structure is gonna be like) because what if they get ambushed? He freaks out about going to any new location because he thinks they might be walking into a trap (or they're walking him into a trap). He'll outright refuse to be left behind himself alone for a moment once he's finally reached the point where he trusts his friends again. We just bear witness to Miles in this constant state of terror for the first third or so of the film, with so much to fear while not knowing what will happen to him in the end.
And he will be struggling to bottle up all this pent up stress and terror he's amassed in the past 24 hours with nowhere healthy to put it because he still doesn't know who he can trust and also because he's Miles and you know he's shoving down all his negative thought patterns and just how afraid and anxious he is for the sake of his end goal. We'll see Miles' will to never dwell on things go from being his best quality to his worst obstacle simply because he learns these life lessons a little too well for his own good. He's gonna just keep going until he flies too close to the sun and shrivels up and burns. And all his pent up anxiety is gonna come out eventually for sure, but I think in a very ugly way.
Like I want his PTSD to really affect things. For his anxiety to affect the progress of the mission and slow the team down sometimes or give the spider society the upper hand while they're hunting them down across dimensions (that seems to be the direction they're going in since Miguel's final line in ATSV is a command to send every spider out to hunt for Miles). Like if they actually come face to face with society members and have to fight, Miles will freeze up in terror and he'll have to be rescued or the enemies end up succeeding in causing problems because Miles couldn't stop them.
Or better yet, and here's the real cherry on top: what if his anxiety causes his powers to malfunction. Like they still work, but he completely loses control over them when he's experiencing these moments of intense panic. He's so scared that he's flickering in and out of invisibility and instead of venom striking on command, he's having these infrequent yet uncontrollable electric outbursts that vary in intensity, like he's having bioelectrical spasms fueled by the panic, and he can't even concentrate enough to direct the venom strikes at anyone in particular. So now like he's essentially defenseless against the Society and it'll be another big factor in him learning to trust Gwen and the Spider-Band again, because he'll have no choice but to rely on them for his survival.

I was initially indifferent to the "Miles is the Gwen Stacy to Spider-Gwen's Peter Parker" theory I've seen a few times, but after giving it two minutes of thought I actually realize that that would be a very interesting route for the story to take
Because the thing with Spider-Gwen is that the only way Gwen Stacy lives is if she's the one with the powers. This also means she's the one who suffers the great loss instead. Which as the movie has made clear, is something she fears repeating more than anything; this fear is her main motivation behind all of her actions towards Miles in ATSV. And the last moment the two have before the Nueva York train fight is them repeating the iconic "Peter catching Gwen" moment, but the roles are reversed, like the tables have been turned on who is going to have to save who in the end.
Also, sidebar, me just rambling here, but the lyrics of "Calling" by Metro Boomin at the end of the movie seem to be from Gwen's POV post the events of the movie. I keep thinking back to the lyric "it's my fault, I made you fall for me," which obviously is meant to be Gwen feeling responsible for what happened to Miles, because if he hadn't become so attached to her then he wouldn't have followed her across dimensions (which was not actually her fault). But I also kinda see this lyric having another meaning; it's Gwen expressing regret for siding with the society instead of standing with Miles. Her actions were understandable ofc, since siding with Miguel's orders was the only way to avoid being expelled from the Society and sent back to her dimension and facing her dad and thus risking her actual life. But this meant letting Miles take the fall instead of her. So this lyric is like Gwen saying to Miles, it's my fault, I let you take the fall for me.
So now the roles the two were playing have been reversed.
If this theory ends up being the case, then you essentially have a Gwen Stacy who's been dealt an arguably worse fate than all the other Gwen Stacys; one that maybe Gwen herself would consider a fate worse than death (something she already fears greatly), which is being the one who suffers the loss and has to keep getting up, who always manages to save everyone except the people that actually matter most to her, who's doomed to watch all her weak, fragile loved ones die while her durable, enhanced superhuman body stubbornly keeps living.

Headcanon that Gwen adopts a bunch of 'substitute' words for her say to avoid swearing around Miles' parents. Gwen naturally swears a lot and Rio doesn't seem to mind whenever she does but Gwen got an exasperated side-eye from Jeff when she innocently spouted a particularly nasty word and now she's too afraid to repeat any.
It starts with her saying things like "yell heah" or "yell hes" when using "hell" that way (something me and my sister do all the time lol). Gwen will exclaim all these strung together words like "back flipping dickens!" or "oh flea-bitten wham-bam-beavers" or if she's really mad, "Edgar Allan bite me!". She starts repeating Noir's early 19th century slang, she'll cycle through any and all cereal brands she can think of that can sound nasty if you say it aggressively. she's shouting the names of American presidents like they're the ugliest words you've ever heard. It just gets funnier when she begins using all this newfound vocabulary around everyone else too, like Gwen enjoys yelling these nonsense words for the world to hear because funny and she ain't never going back to using actual swear words all the time because this is way more fun.

It kiiiinda ticks me off a little whenever I read a Spiderverse one-shot/fic that involves George meeting Miles and George is written with the "tough scary cop dad act" cliche where he's acting all tough with Miles and Miles is scared of him and. I just. mmmmmmmm where do I begin
I'm not of the opinion that George is irredeemable or that he should not be forgiven. I'm looking forward to seeing George do tons of stuff to make things right with Gwen and being attentive to whatever she needs in Beyond the Spiderverse. And I actually really would like to see him meet Miles. I think there's a decent chance of that happening! They made a point to have him with the photograph to catch him up to speed with what Gwen's been up to without him. And we see Gwen promise to him that she would return home. Why not let this lead into George meeting his daughter's mysterious "friend"?
But I would actually HATE if George acts all imposing and intimidating with Miles. And then y'all are thinking that Miles would be sweatin and nervous and "eheheh uhhhh h-hi m-m-mister St-Stacy Sir" NAH GET OUT that bby deer lookin goober boy ain't finna be caught like a deer in headlights under this colossal conservative's cerulean gaze. That eeper deeper who Jutsu Hand Signed a thousand spideys off a space train and peaced out? Yeh that's cute. Miles. who should be and WOULD be (fingers crossed) having a few choice words for Mr. George Stacy.
The thing is. George has messed up so badly that he does not deserve to have any type of moral high ground right now. I don't expect him to not get protective, but. I honestly think Miles should get to be mad at George. Albeit in his own mouthy, sassy way, void of any physical aggression of course, because it's still Miles but still. Because like. He pointed a gun at his daughter? Flesh and blood? Miles would be thinkin like.. his own dad didn't even do that??? And he didn't even need to find out it was his son?? And furthermore uncle Aaron???? Helloooo??? Aaron took the bullet for him himself instead !!
So no Miles is not afraid of George. I mean all jokes aside I don't think Miles would ever act openly hostile towards him, and knowing Miles, he'd swallow most of his anger to put on a polite face and attitude around him because he was Raised Right™️ but I think it'd be interesting if Miles just never really forgave George for pointing a gun at Gwen. And you know that if he were the one who got a gun pointed at him, if he were Gwen, yeah he'd totally forgive him, he's Miles! But it wasn't Miles. It was Gwen. That's a whole different story.

Me eating dinner and thinking about ghostflower then being hit with the realization that Miles will 100% end up having separation anxiety:
Tumblr media
Because like. he will. Gwen comes back after 2 years of him pining and dreaming about her and needing her while he can't even express it all with anyone without them thinking he's completely insane/has an imaginary completely made up girlfriend and you have to wonder if even he has considered the possibility that maybe Gwen wasn't real. Maybe he made up this guardian angel to feel some semblance of safety and security during the hardest most life threatening 2 years of his life. Like yeah maybe Gwen was this elaborate trauma response to becoming Spider Man and mourning Uncle Aaron's death and the stress he had to endure from everything he's going through from his mother and father. Yeah maybe right?
So now imagine his panic whenever she leaves to go somewhere? Whether it's back to her dimension or on a mission. His urge to reach out and touch her whenever he can, just to make sure she's there. So now whenever they're together he's always clinging to her like glue. Clingy and needy and yeah he knows he must look pathetic but he can't help it. So now Gwen's presence has become almost a requirement for him to even feel safe at all.
Mind you, this isn't him being possessive, it's not "where were you ?1!1?1!1?" He's never accusative about her whereabouts or what she's doing. It's just that he now becomes kinda emotionally dependent on her and it just feels so wrong to be apart from her for too long.
Really he just never wants to relive that moment when he was strapped to that punching bag by a scary twisted version of himself, trapped in another dimension with no foreseeable guaranteed way to return home, when he thought had no friends and no family who knew where he was. That moment when he realized that he was so truly truly alone and lost somewhere in the vast infinite unending multiverse.

My college professor: Mr. Paintbrushnebula, are you still with us?
No Professor, my mind is far too busy thinking about how Rapunzel and Miles Morales would be absolute BESTIES.
They'd share their art with each other and do art trades, and swap stories about their adventures. Rapunzel would go on for hours about all the kingdoms and magical creatures she's encountered while Miles would ramble about all the crazy incredible dimensions he's been to. They'd vent to each other about how restricted they felt back when everyone was trying to control their lives and keep them from choosing their own path. Ooh! And they'd totally swap favorite foods! Miles would give Rapunzel some Spanish recipes. Now here they are making pastelitos de carne together!
Oh and you better believe Eugene Fitzherbert and Gwen Stacy are an unstoppable duo who'll take over the world!
While their partners are chatting, Eugene and Gwen are sitting in the corner munching on the pastelitos their partners just made while sharing how they got together with them. Gwen goes, "we met up once and saved the multiverse together, then two years later I climb through his window and I say, 'wanna get outta here?' He says yes!" Eugene's mouth goes agape and says "NO WAY THATS (almost) EXACTLY WHAT I DID-" They then break out into a series of competitions to prove who's the better athlete, like who can scale that building faster, who's got the coolest backflip, etc. Eugene thinks Gwen's eyebrow piercing is super cool, then he goes on about how as much as he'd like one, his face is just too darn immaculate and unblemished for him to ever pierce its perfectly pristine hide, then he shares his "invaluable wisdom" about haircare with a Gwen who has long fallen fast asleep. Then they're discussing their experiences as ex-fugitives. Eugene tells Gwen about his experience with the Captain of the Guard, how he would hunt him down like a wild dog. Gwen says "oh hey I had to deal with a Captain like that too. Tried to shoot me too. Yeah. He's my dad," then goes right back to scarfing down her pastelito while Eugene nearly chokes on his.
I just think they'd be neat ^_^

I came up with something that I can't stop thinking about
It's this idea that I kinda wanna headcanon... idk it could sound lowkey weird and messed up though so I need to hear some thoughts on it
Rapunzel still has Gothel's cloak.
Or at least. had. Gothel's cloak for at least the first few weeks or maybe even months after she returned home. Does she ever get rid of it? Does she still have it now? I don't know...? Trying to think on that 😅
I know that for this to work, I'd have to answer the question of how she has the cloak. Like it's easy to say she just took it with her when she left the tower, but knowing Eugene is there, ehh.... ooh! Maybe picture this. Eugene gives Rapunzel a few minutes to pull herself together, like he has to assume she needs a moment to herself to say goodbye to the tower, maybe pack a few of her most personal possessions to take with her. He waits outside that vine entrance to give her some privacy. He doesn't know what she takes, nor does he ask. He just sees her walk out the entrance about 20 minutes later with a well sized shoulder bag that surely doesn't look as packed as he was expecting, but he doesn't dwell on it.
I like the idea that Rapunzel mourned Gothel behind closed doors, and she never ends up sharing this grief with anyone out of fear of being judged, or that they could never understand. They just couldn't understand. And ugh! What would they think of her? If they knew she harbored grief for the despicable woman that abused her? Would they think her some sort of masochist? what would Eugene think. No one could know (my writing is terrible I'm so sorry)
Mourning the woman raised her and abused her is just something she has to face alone. She couldn't let go of that cloak. It's all she had left of her. It's the only remaining relic of her past life. Like, the last thing that felt 'familiar' for a long time of that makes sense.
I just don't think anyone (apart from Eugene, who probably would understand if he knew about this) understands Rapunzel enough. No matter how much love they have for her, they don't understand how this girl who'd lived her first 18 years in captivity by a woman who left her confused about what love looks like, about what a good home looks like. Of course it was bad, of course she deserved better, of course she never wants to go back to that life, but her feelings are feelings and she just needs time. Rapunzel has to adjust and it's confusing. God she's so confused, and no one understands, like the people are just gonna expect her to fill up the missing hole she was stolen from when she was a baby and they have all these expectations for her. They all just expect her to go from having nothing to having everything like it's no big deal, and you know she's gonna ACT like it's no big deal because she doesn't want to seem ungrateful. Rapunzel doesn't want to disappoint anybody. And she can't just earn people's approval the same way she's used to. Just like Eugene, she now has to relearn who she is, and she no longer knows how to be what people want.

Here's a buncha my personal Gwen Stacy Headcanons that no one asked for but I'm giving anyway :3 I wrote a Butt Ton and I hope y'all like really 'em 🐧
Gwen was a very tough, reckless kid growing up. She tripped and fell a LOT because she liked doing stunts and parkouring on literally everything, but she'd never cry. George was always scared of Gwen getting hurt from her stunts but he was impressed (if a little freaked) by how she'd get right back up afterward like it was nothing. Gwen was just a very naturally durable child. She'd always have at least one band-aid on her somewhere.
(My sister wrote this one): As a result of her absolutely Tasmanian devil type recklessness, George would cut her hair SUPER short as a child, like pixie hair type short to avoid having to always wash out the bugs and dirt and leaves and wood chips and literally anything she grabs and just goes "Savin this for later yo" in her hair. (She still stuck stuff in her hair and honestly liked the short hair better cuz she could run faster, but ey it reduced the expenses on baby shampoo SIGNIFICANTLY) n she wasn't allowed to grow her scruffy little spike head hair long again till she was like 8 poor georgie was struggling for ideas he's just a guy HES JUST A GUY MAN !!!!!
Gwen begged George for a penguin as a pet when she was 5 but was told that penguins can't be pets. She played club penguin almost every day until middle school. She starts playing it again after they defeat the Spot. Margo plays it with her all the time. Gwen was absolutely appalled when she discovered that Club Penguin is discontinued in Miles' universe.
Yeah she's 100% patching things up with Glory, Em Jay, and Betty after Beyond the Spiderverse. The Mary Janes become a successful niche band very quickly now that Gwen is fully committed and she even performs as lead vocalist every now and then. Gwen eventually starts writing and singing songs of her own for their shows. She also starts spending more time with them outside the band.
Gwen and Peter's favorite childhood activity was making home videos. Peter's videos emulate Bill Nye the Science Guy; he'd showcase all these experiments/prepared presentations and ramble on about them pretending he's this world renowned scientist. Gwen's videos are her doing crazy stunts on her skateboard, or inspecting exotic bugs/lizards with her bare heckin' hands and talking to them in funny voices. They'd each film the other's videos. They stopped making them when they reached middle school; life just got harder for the both of them due to increased bullying, Gwen becoming Spider-Woman, and Peter's mental health getting worse. Gwen still has their old video camera with all their videos still intact, but since Peter's death, she hasn't been able to bring herself to watch them again.
She loves saying "yell heah"/"yell hes"/"what the yell"/"aw yellll nahhh" a lot
Big fan of action/neo-noir/crime thriller movies: John Wick, Sicario, Baby Driver, Nightcrawler, Pulp Fiction, Batman, etc. Just any piece of fiction with Misunderstood Action Person who's always On The Run, hunted by the law but just trying to get by, struggling to survive in an unjust system. Toootallllyyy doesn't hit close to home for her.
PC gamer? Yell hes.
She's a surprisingly talented voice artist/impressionist with impressive range. She already figured out how to perfectly mimic Hobie's cockney British accent after like a week. She never forgets a voice and can do quickly do impressions of lots of famous fictional characters. She'll come up with all these funny voices to make Miles laugh or prank call people. She LOVES prank calling people.
Part of George's motivation for letting Gwen take up ballet was so that she could learn proper balance/coordination so she'd be more careful when performing all her stunts. I think that Gwen used to be naturally clumsy until ballet taught her proper agility. He thought that if she was gonna be a little daredevil, then she could at least be able to catch herself before her face is slamming into the pavement.
Gwen is a big nickname-giver. She calls Miles "Bambi" (he looks like a baby deer to her), Margo is "Mars Bar", Peni is "Panini", and Pav is "Pavlova." She mostly nicknames people after food really.
She's not really a candy person but she is definitely a junk food person. M&Ms, Cool Ranch Doritos, Pringles, soft drinks (favors coke), Reese's, Cheez-its (her favorite), Oreos, and your typical fast foods.
After the Spot fiasco is over and she and Miles are months into their relationship, Gwen starts putting on a bit of weight. Not that much, but her form fills out enough to be noticeable. I like the idea that she becomes so happy with herself post-Beyond that she indulges herself a little, yknow? She takes an immediate liking to Rio's food and Rio is always giving her extra leftovers to take home or packs her something to eat during Spider-missions. She doesn't become aware of the extra weight until Miles' clothes start fitting her a little tighter than she remembers (he's very skinny after all). She's very happy with her new shape and chooses not to lose it (mostly because she refuses to have to eat less which honestly same)
Going back to the home video headcanon; Peter actually recorded one last video the night before the prom. In the video, he presents the vial containing the lizard serum to the viewer and explains his plan to drink the serum so he can get revenge on everyone who bullied him at the school. The way Peter enthusiastically presents his plan in the video is eerily similar to the old science videos he recorded as a child. At the end of the video, he rambles about how excited he is to become "special like her," but he doesn't elaborate further; anyone who isn't Gwen won't know who he's talking about. Since Gwen hasn't opened that video camera to this day, she has no idea the video exists (I don't know if she ever sees it).
I'll post the next part of that 'Gwen Stacy is Sick' comic tomorrow I promise XD

I thiiiiink I did good on my oceanography exam!! 🪩
(don't know my score yet tho)
Anyway here's something I've been working on ✨
So this is my vision of what Rapunzel's dressing like post tower, at least after she's really starting to figure herself out. I thought about her having this type of hairstyle where she ties it into layered sections that ultimately looks like a fuchsia, then she'd litter it with a bunch of little flowers like an homage to her big old braid from the movie. I really wanted to keep that shaggy style from her short hair too. Also, I really wanted to dress her like a humble domestic artist
Tumblr media
(Those weird stains are marker that bled through the previous page)
In my mind, this take on Rapunzel kinda lives separate from the series, like ive really only been thinking about the aftermath of the first movie's story. What she goes through in her post-tower recovery. Its be hard for her to adjust to princess life and a part of her is wondering if it's the path she wants. So now it's like she's at war with herself. She wants to rediscover her purpose, since her old one was erm. eternity of servitude in isolation hidden under the veil of blissful unawareness. And it sounds a whole lot easier to accept the purpose that's being obligatorily given to her, which is being princess and eventually, queen. But like Is that something she'd want though? Should she just give in if she can't figure out her purpose on her own?
This isn't me just writing Rapunzel's internal dialogue btw, like, these are actually things I think about when I think about what I'd have preferred had happened post-movie lol

I'm researching some stuff about apothecaries and the history of the pharmacy, trying to find inspiration wherever. Chuck Jones always said to just read whatever you can to find ideas for your fiction making and stuff, so I'm just getting in on reading a bunch of history so I can come up with something to write
It's because I've been thinking about what life post-tower must've been like for Rapunzel. She's fresh off the heels of an abusive environment, now finding herself in a completely different place that she's unfamiliar with. She's only had a few hours to vibe with Corona's people, and that was when they didn't know she was the lost princess with magical healing powers. So here she is, having returned to them at last. And I find this idea interesting: what if many of them were kinda... disappointed? I don't know if I've expressed this idea before that I think Corona would really have to prove itself as an actually good environment for Rapunzel to grow in, and I think the answer would really be no, at first. There'll probably be this superficial way that the citizens of Corona all will see her. Imagine if Rapunzel had been sort of deified by the people in those 18 years? Imagine what that kidnapping had looked like to the average citizen? Your king and queen gives birth to a young girl who is now your princess, and oh my goodness! The princess has the power to heal the sick and injured! It's a literal miracle! The kingdom rejoices. Frederic and Arianna probably assume that they're celebrating the Queen's recovery and Rapunzel's birth, but it's more than that for some. They're celebrating their miracle. Plagues and illness and suffering and death will be no more. Then before a single soul can see this healing power, that miracle gets stolen from them. The kingdom is sent into despair. All the sick who were given the hope of being healed are now left to suffer fate's design. Plagues will come and death is here to stay.
In those 18 years, I bet there was a lot of praying for the lost princess to return, but not for her to be reunited with her family safe and sound, but for her to heal them and their own families. That hope for her return builds in the people's hearts, to the point where Rapunzel is now something of a messianic figure rather than a literal abducted child.
So now that miracle finally returns, except... it's not a miracle anymore. It's just a girl. And the kingdom's last hope that once grew from her head was now short and wilted (those aren't my words, I just feel like a particularly disgruntled Coronan would say that about Rapunzel).
Now imagine how that makes Rapunzel feel? That the kingdom shes supposed to call home is pretty much objectifying her similarly to how she's used to? And when you've only known one way of earning love your whole life, you're gonna stick to what you're used to if no one helps you actually learn different. Only now, Rapunzel can't offer herself the same way she did with Gothel, because she doesn't have her hair anymore. Now she has no way to give people what they want.
hnggggggg I gotta write this story someday
where was I? Oh yeah! So the apothecary thing. Yeah I was reading this article by Rachel Ewing for Penn Medicine, https://www.pennmedicine.org/news/news-blog/2017/may/then-and-now-the-healing-power-of-an-urban-garden. One of the lines in the second paragraph says "The plants themselves were therapies to be eaten or brewed into tea." What's being discussed is the history of herbs and plants being used for medicinal purposes, and that line in particular made my jaw drop for a moment because it made me think of Rapunzel, and how her being objectified by people into something of a medicine, or in the context of Tangled; a healing flower, rather than a person, is something she'll have to break past even after she's left Gothel's captivity.

eeewwwwwww I just listened to that interview by Stephanie Ma Stine about KP4 and now I am disgusted SOMEONE GET THIS LADY SOME COMPENSATION please I need Dreamworks to give her full creative freedom of KP5 if they're serious about making another one like they say
What a disaster movie through and through my God
Literally everyone at Dreamworks owes her an apology and a chairman position with 2x the pay. I literally have never heard of someone in a high ranking position in the crew be so mistreated! She's the co-director! How did this happen?!

ok but like the way that after Paul drinks the water of life, how his hair no longer curtains his face with bangs and is now all brushed to the back and wavy. ok ok but also like the way that his expression now has his teeth slightly bared through a permanent sneer instead of before he drank the water when his expression was always this soft easygoing smile. ok oh and here's the prize winner ok listen please ok like I need to let this out but the way that his body language has been rid of any awkwardness or gentleness or a desire to understand and grow and learn from the people around him and now his movements are calculated and almost animalistic like he's prowling like an untamed predator on an eternal hunt and then and then when Stilgar asks Paul what they should do next, his new sinister demeanor cracks. for a moment. His hair has fallen over his face again from the rough fight he just had, his head dips down and his sneer is gone. He commands with a small, exhausted, empty voice that they go to war, knowing now that there is no going back.
