Wheel of Hecate
The Hecate’s Wheel is an ancient symbol connected with the cult of the goddess Hecate whose meaning is still debated and mysterious.
The symbol that we see in modern days consists of a maze with three distinct whirls that are connected in the center. The number three recalls to the triple form of the goddess that was seen as ruler of the sky, sea, and earth and guardian of the crossroads. The labyrinth recalls to the ancient labris of the Minoan culture representing transformation and rebirth.
Many are the possible origins and interpretation of this symbol represented in the past as a four spoked or eight spoked wheel symbolizing the four seasons, the four elements or a primeval representation of the lunar or season cycle.
The four spoked wheel represented an ancient tool called the Iynx, a small metal or wooden discs rotated by pulling attached strings that reproduced the pulse call of the Eurasian wryneck, a bird called Iynx. This bird was originally associated with Aphrodite and according to the myth this tool was used as a magical love-charm to draw lovers together or to draw out passion.
The Iynx is sometimes associated with the Strophalos another spinning tool used in the ancient cult of Hecate. According to the Chaldean Oracles the Strophalos was a spinning top dedicated to the goddess Hecate used to invoke the presence of the deity in the celebration of a ritual. By summoning the divine presence, and through the sound produced by the spinning, the theurgist was able to reach prophetic visions.
Spinning tools and their ability to connect the divine world with the mortal one is seen also in the cult of Dionysus. According to the myth the Titans used toys to lure Dionysus and eat him, these toys had a specific religious significance connected with the divine power of Dionysus. Among these toys there was an ancient object called Rhombos or Kohnos, a spinning top that made sounds that resembled the thunder or the bullroarer and that represented the divine power of Dionysus Tauropon and Bromio. The spinning movement of the object also resemble the movement of tornadoes and the idea of Mania, the alteration of consciousness that was used to attain vision and enlightenment.
The wheel of Hecate is now seen as an esoteric symbol connected with the triple form of the goddess and her feminine power over life and death, but the genesis of this symbol probably lies behind ancient magical tools capable of connecting humans to deities and used for divination purposes. The symbol represents Hecate’s control over liminal spaces and her ability to connect this world to the divine one and to its mysterious knowledge.

Killer of the Flower Moon SPOILER
Molly's vision with Hale left me amazed. At that point in the story why would she see him? Why not one of her ancestors, as happened to her mother?
Then, I got it. She didn't see Hale. She saw Death.
As she gets worse, Molly has visions. She sees the owl, an omen of death. She sees her mother, who warns her to talk to the man with the hat (and soon after Herbert has a surprise at the door.)
At that point, the line between spirits and humans is blurred. And then she sees Hale, the one primarily responsible for her and her family's misery. It's the most human version of him we've seen (the fact that it's a hallucination says a lot about him.)
Molly tries to touch him because she doesn't know if he's real or not. Hale doesn't let himself be touched. Because it's not Molly's time yet. Death came to visit Molly looking like the man responsible for her pain with a message ''Whoever did this to you will pay.''
It's a powerful vision, and for once, Hale is sincere. Because it's not him with her.
(Dunno if I'm reading too much into this scene, and if it was just a hallucination, but up until that point Molly's hallucinations made sense to the plot. Even when she tells Herbert you'll be next. And it's true. But not in the sense that Hale would kill him. In the sense, Hale would use him as a scapegoat to save himself. KoTFM is a brilliant movie.)

NEW Blog Post Series…. 🚩
Red Flag Symbols for Christians #2
My vacation to California had me get a little behind on my posts for this series. Lol Actually my time in Cali reminded me of another symbol used by many modern artists. This post will focus on the spiritual meanings of the Moth. Both the Chinese Lunar moth and the Death’s Head Hawk moth are two types of moths being used and seen in current witchcraft-related, pagan and gothic art.
Tumblr media
From wikiHow: moth symbolism
Moths can represent change, transformation, and growth. Many cultures see moths as symbols of death and believe they bring messages from the afterlife. Others believe that moths symbolize your intuition and encourage you to trust your inner wisdom.
Tumblr media
The Chinese lunar moth is used heavily along side the moon phases image and specific plants like mushroom and other herbal plants. Simply with the name of the moth makes sense why wiccans love them so much. Lunar equal “luna” is spanish for “moon”. These specific types of moth artwork are mainly for nature worshipers, pagans, witches and wiccans Other symbols to be aware of like in the second image is the “third eye” at the bottom, the snakes (x2), crystals and of course, the moon on top. The “third eye” usually represents the ability to see beyond/what’s ahead/foreseeing. Crystals are believed to posses the power to heal, a trend that’s been building in popularity in our society. This believe has already been debunck by science; future blog post to come.
Tumblr media
Just to point out in the image above, many artists who use moths and etc. symbols in their artwork are sometimes feminists and naturalists as well. Which is why the witch girl in the image above has slightly hairy arms and legs; they choose not to shave. I personally don’t see anything wrong with this choice, but I have noticed the pattern in women who choose to do this are making a conscous statement towards society.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now onto the Death’s Head Hawk moth which symbolizes as an omen of death. This believe isn’t limited to this specific and rarely seen moth, but moths in many cultures have this similar folklore that foreshadows death. We knew moth follow the moon light at night and dwells is dark corners during the day. In many tribal cultures moths, and sometimes butteries, are able to cross into the spirit realm and return with messages for their ancestors. As Christians, we know this doesn’t match with our beliefs and what’s written in God’s Word.
Hope this blog post was helpful to you, my brothers in sisters in Christ! I continue to strive and post on this blog series every Wednesday. Bless You All, and have a Wonderful Merry Christmas!!!! 🎄💖 ✝️

I made this very ancient, extremely powerful sigil to shape the way my future goes.  Each symbol has archaic, influential power, but combined and placed within these confines, they are immensely effective and intense.

The Ouroboros of Samsara
An Endless Cycle of Self-Inflicted SufferingThe universe is filled with symbols that describe the cyclical nature of existence. One of the most captivating is the concept of ‘Samsara’ from Eastern traditions and ‘Ouroboros’ from ancient civilizations. While they emerge from different cultural contexts, they bear striking resemblances, encapsulating the endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth…

Knot of Isis
This ancient egyptian symbol is called Tjet or Knot of Isis and it's a sign usually connected with the power of the goddess Isis/Aset. Isis is one of the main deity of the egyptian pantheon, sister/wife of Osiris, goddess of magic and wisdom, goddess of kingship and protectress of the kingdom. She was seen as a universal mother goddess connected with beauty, love and fertility. In the Book of the Dead the tjet sign was addressed with the words "Blood of Isis" symbolizing the lifegiver power of blood, especially connected with the menstrual blood where the power of the goddess lies.
This sign resembles the ankh, except that the transverse arms are folded downwards, and resembles a knot of cloth and may have originally been a bandage used to absorb menstrual blood. Others suggest it represents the female reproductive organs and represents Isis in her role as the universal mother. Knots were commonly used in ancient egyptian religion as magical amulets and spell crafting. Large knot in a mantle were worn by Egyptian women from the Late Period onward and we tend to see the Knot of Isis tied into clothing during the Greco-Roman period.
The tyet can be compared with the Minoan sacral knot, a symbol of a knot with a projecting loop found in Knossos, Crete and with the Knot of Inanna.
The tjet was usually placed in tombs and was made with red semi-precious stone like jaspers. The blood of Isis was often combined with the djed-pillar especially in the decoration of temple ,walls, beds and sarcophagi. The djed is a pillar-like symbol associated with the god Osiris and it is commonly understood to represent his spine. When combined the two symbols alluded, via Isis and Osiris, to the unity of opposing world forces and with that to the unconquerable nature of life.
The tjet represents the female generative power of the goddess in which the magical source of isis lies and thus represents an ancient and very powerful symbol of protection and power.

Red Flag Symbols for Christians
🎄 Seasonal Edition 🎄
Today on December 21, 2023 is the day of the Winter Solstice which is when the pagan holiday of the Yule Festival is celebrated. This is also where many people, mainly pagans, claim the “christmas tree” idea was originated. Personally, I’m not sure if that’s totally true cause from my own research, evergreens hold a strong significance in multiple cultures around the world. So yeah, the point of this series blog posts are to bring specific awareness to my fellow Christ-believers, especially our younger generation. Also my intention of this post is not to make my brothers and sister in the christian faith feel guilty for incorporating these yuletide elements and symbols into our own Christmas decor and traditions. 😊 Hay, even I use them! 🎄
Tumblr media
Here’s are the most basic symbols used in celebrating the Yule Festival, along with their simplest meanings. I’m choosing not to go too deep in understanding the meanings cause really “why?”. I personally don’t see the benefit. I’ve learned to place personal boundaries for myself so I may protect my mind and my soul. The Lord has made me aware that I can easily become super curious and possibly obsess over things like this. God is definitely my armor and protection. (Ps. 91:4)
Tumblr media
Just to give credit to where this pics are from is called spells8. Anywho, here’s a modern and practical example of a Yuletide alter. Oranges, certain berries, nuts and crystals. I’m now sure next week’s post will be on “crystals”. This trend is seriously booming in mainstream society. Just keep youreyes out for the post next Wednesday.
That’s it for this seasonal/holiday blog post. I wish you a Very Merry Christmas as we celebrate the memory of our Savior’s Birth!!! And God Bless Us, Everyone! 🎄💖
