So I've been sitting on these for a WHILE trying to finish writing up the summary for this AU, but heck dangit! I'm just gonna start posting these! (Many more to come, both finished and in the works.)
This is for a RWBY x Amphibia crossover AU that I like to call, "The Girl Who Fell Through Amphibia," or just "RWBYia" for short. Basic premise as follows:
Instead of falling into the Ever After, characters from RWBY fall into a different world that the gods made after Remnant, a strange place called Amphibia. There are some historical and current event changes to both stories, mainly with Ozma ending up as the Core, with Ozpin as the king. Because, come on:
Anywho, I'm mainly redrawing screenshots for fun, but I also love reworking designs to fit alternate characters, like with the Core's suit, made to look more like Oscar's huntsman outfit.
More funky similarities between these two shows below, which I will absolutely be taking advantage of:
girl with main character syndrome accidentally winds up in another world very different from her own
the main character technically dies, meets "god" in a weird liminal space, has a conversation with said god, then is resurrected as herself again
two... birds... or bird/people... two characters who are birds
weird-ass moons
historically, the plot began with betrayal between two people who loved each other (romantically or platonically, whatever)
also, as the final straw before they completely separated, one of them stole something valuable from the other
ancient artifacts which each embody/symbolize something
the antagonist wants to use said artifacts for their plans (which ultimately involve world-level destruction) by bringing the artifacts together
the artifacts each have their own respective places which can only be accessed by certain people
the artifacts were granted to mortals by a god
the aforementioned collective consciousness is comprised of those with similar minds, which is how the current host was chosen
There is a little old woman with poor eyesight who can kick ass.

Bonus points if you can count how much of this is ALSO applicable to The Owl House (yes, I'm also working on a crossover for that). Bonus-bonus: In both RWBY and TOH, the two bird characters are also estranged siblings (who feel very different about following authority). Bonus-x3: In RWBY/TOH, the current state of the world is due to two major plot events: a tragic love story, and a mass extinction caused by gods.

SIDE 2D: ROUND 1: Ditzy Doo (My Little Pony)/The Doctor (Doctor Who) VS Anne Boonchuy (Amphibia)/Nepeta Leijon (Homestuck)
Propaganda for Ditzy Doo/The Doctor:
So basically there's a character in MLP named Doctor Whooves who people do assume is some form of pony version of the Doctor, and there was a whole episode of him and Ditzy palling around. People ship them quite a bit, there have been multiple fanfics/animation series/ask blogs putting the two of them together on adventures in time and space, and they're all (mostly) excellent. They're an iconic crossover pair that really deserves a spot in this poll.
Propaganda for Anne Boonchuy/Nepeta Leijon:
cat lovers who died at 13 (though anne got revived afterwards). both spent time living in caves - nepeta liked hers meanwhile anne didnt have much choice, but tbf hers was a pretty terrible cave. i was trying to classpect anne for an amphibia homestuck au a while back and ended up giving her the Heart aspect, same as Nepeta's. also i just think theyd be silly together :3. Nepeta would love Anne's cat Domino and her giant catlike moth Domino 2 and Anne would adore Nepeta's cat lusus Pounce de Leon. they have wildly different hunting techniques but i bet theyd have fun learning from each other

1. Vanessa first visited the pizzaplex when she was 13
2. Her favorite foods/drinks are fruit salad, pasta, margarita pizza, chicken and rice in white sauce, ice cream and frozen yogurt, milkshakes lemonade, iced tea and tea with milk, (she’s bit of a health nut apart from her ice cream and frozen yogurt and milkshake likes)
3. She is a natural born prodigy child, she’s very super smart, creative and talented/gifted
4. She is a huge fan of arts and crafts, designing and computer science
5. Vanessa’s big 3 anime are fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, avatar the last Airbender and Pokémon
6. She loves art, music, fashion, exercise/yoga, outdoor activities, tennis, flowers, reading, collecting cute accessories, rollerblading, machine claw games, circuses and carnivals, collecting cute accessories and trinkets, (Ps: she really loves money but doesn’t admit it because it makes her feel greedy). Personality: this version of Vanessa is very much different from her game variant, this Vanessa is very intelligent, creative, energetic, passionate, friendly, stubborn and responsible, anxious, sassy. She is very kind and helpful and actually has a close connection to both Freddy and Gregory, as a child Vanessa had a very close relationship with her father Vincent, but after his death she developed anxiety but has learned to keep it under control.

yes I threw every possession trope I could think of into one AU, what's it to you
so it starts with Marcy needing to get a few more body parts replaced while she's in the rejuvenation tank. I refuse to believe Amphibian tech is powerful enough to help you regrow a spine.
between her new metal spine, the nanofluid she has instead of blood, the wires she has instead of some nerves, and the fact that when she gets the wetsuit switched out for armor she probably doesn't have skin underneath the exosuit in some places... yeah, O&Y goes... a bit differently.
because augmentations had already been made to her body, Marcy fresh out of the pickle jar isn't quite Marcy at all. she's not the Core, but her mind is mostly empty space. her memories are, bit by bit, being removed and replaced. even so, she still remembers Anne and Sasha (just barely).
the Core doesn't conjure up any nightmares for her like it does for Yunan and Olivia, because it knows she's not going to react and she's as good as theirs.
she doesn't fight the helmet because she doesn't remember how. the scream has no emotion behind it besides pain.
(there are a bit more wire implants in her brain than in canon, too.)
the minds in the Core are also a lot more mixed together. it's a slightly more neutral entity (it sees conquering worlds as a necessity, and gets no real emotion or pride from it) and to help combat the general greed of the Leviathan consciousnesses within it, numbs down emotions. it's still extremely intelligent, just more mechanical in its functions than canon.
whatever's left of Marcy's hollow psyche is assimilated into the Core when the helmet falls, smothered beneath millennia of code and artificial intelligence and programming.
the Darcy persona we're familiar with (the sadistic, "quirky" one) does exist for a while, at least until Marcy's muscle memory fades along with everything else, and then its replaced with a cold, calculating machine, rigid and yet unnaturally graceful and very much not human.
there is no real "freeing" Marcy because there isn't any "Marcy" left to free. because the Core is more neutral, Anne and Sasha and even Andrias can persuade it that there are better ways to restore Amphibia, but they aren't getting their friend back, because their friend is dead.
the Core tried to rummage through whatever files it had saved of Marcy's memories, but there was never enough to bring her back. everything it tried was Wrong somehow, even though there was still a tiny sliver of Marcy left - one of naive curiosity and a longing for warm arms and warmer smiles.
Anne and Sasha were in denial for a while. they wanted to believe that Marcy was back, and the thing that used to be Marcy wanted her to be back, too. but eventually, they were forced to accept it, and they finally let themselves mourn.
(when they were little, Anne gave Sasha and Marcy a friendship necklace with only two parts instead of three. "it's my heart," she explained. "I'm giving half of it to each of you." they buried Marcy's half of the necklace in lieu of a body.)
even the Core - the thing that had caused this, the thing that supposedly felt no emotion and saw everything as a necessary sacrifice in the grand scheme of things - allowed itself to cry for the loss, just once, when no one was around.
hey, at least Amphibia still has a moon.
