Anyway, I am quite wrecked over the fact that, during "Whatever it Takes", Carmilla looks very deliberately at Zestial when she says "I'll keep you safe." Like, until then it's been clear she's addressing her daughters, she looks at them as she sings, she holds them, but at that particular moment she looks up almost beseechingly and it is so interesting to me that the implication is that that particular "I'll keep you safe" was addressed to Zestial himself, and judging by the deliberate way they animated him to react, it was meant to be taken that way.

in that scene in 12.22 when dean watches mary in her heaven, and she crouches down and smiles at the memory of her child and lies to him, tells him she’ll never let anything bad happen to him, what was dean thinking about before he said i hate you. because i think he was looking at how tiny that dean was, and thinking that’s what he looked like when he spent the final days of his childhood becoming a mother to a baby he was barely twice the size of, when his one wish in the world had been to grow up faster so he could take better care of sam, when he used to spend every day promising sam the same thing, before sam could even understand him. when all he wanted was for his mommy to come back and tell him it would be ok. and he hated her. he hated himself too, so he looked for comfort, for sam. a memory so old and fuzzy in his mothers mind that he looked like a doll, not enough green in his eyes and no mole on his cheek, because she hadn’t bothered to look close at the real sam, the living sam. so much care and detail put into the messy waves on tiny dean’s head, and barely anything for sam. he hated her. but for the first time without having to climb up the rails, he looked down at baby sammy in a crib, the crib dean had barely outgrown when it burned, and realized: you weren’t big. i was just small.

Wyatt Halliwell or Hope Mikaelson?

Definitely Wyatt Halliwell! Mostly because I haven't actually watched a single episode of any of the Vampire Diaries shows yet, so I have no idea who Hope is. (The main character in Legacies, I think?) (Don't worry, it's on my to watch list, my watch list is just really long atm.) I will say though that Wyatt is gonna be my answer for most situations. (Also thanks for the chance to do a little meta about Wyatt and his powers.)

From an objective standpoint in regards to powers, Wyatt wins against pretty much anything. I've said before and I'll say it again, I believe that Wyatt managed to break the Grand Design in the unchanged future with the exposure of magic, and I think that means he was able to kill some beings that he should not have traditionally been able to, aka the Cleaners and maybe even the Angel(s) of Destiny. (Which also loops into one of my now favorite headcanons that prophecies are made as a warning that a witch capable of breaking the Grand Design is coming.)

The catch, and how I'm able to write Wyatt in literally any conflict in my next gen fics, is that he has a critical weakness: he is terrified at the possibility of what he's capable of. (I have also mentioned that interpretation before, in connection with how Billie unintentionally makes it worse.) That kind of power is a lot for one person to handle, and Wyatt outclasses quite literally everyone around him by a large margin. I think that in a sense, his own fear serves as a kind of limiter on his power because he won't use them to the fullest extent. This is partially because he doesn't fully know what he's capable of because he doesn't experiment with his powers or push boundaries the same way that Chris does. While Wyatt has that kind of power, he lacks a greater amount of control and precision because he doesn't practice.

In a situation where Wyatt does go full-out, however, I think that he wins, no question. It's incredibly rare for him to do so, but one of his primary powers (projection) is a version of reality warping, y'know? That's not even getting into the fact that he has energy waves that can flat-out incinerate enemies without even trying. The challenge is getting him to a place where he doesn't hold back.

i just fucking hate that argument like ”women can be just as violent as men!” okay so why ARENT they. women can easily hurt men if they use a weapon. women can easily rape elderly in their care or children, or hell, each other. why DONT they then?? why is it so sensationalised when women commit heinous crimes? bc it happens so Extremely Rarely. if women are just as capable as men of evil, why dont they commit as many violent crimes?????

You have to get the King on your side right. Have an in with him so if someone complains he’s like “well a daughter before an uncle blah blah blah.” You want LYANNA and HER husband on your side, and you want all of ALY BLACKWOOD’S daughters and THEIR HUSBANDS on your side because if your ultimate goal is ABSOLUTE PRIMOGENITURE you want the older sisters on your side right. You want the people of Winters Town to like you more than Barthogan and Jonnel. You want to do good things for them, so you want money (again - good marriages for Serena’s children). You want to be more competent or at least seem more competent. You probably want like….what Barthogan and Brandon like Not In Winterfell with you…….

I've been reading My Beloved Baby Sister recently and one thing I find very interesting is that when we're introduced to the main heroine's father, the emperor, he's shown as a total doting daddy character- unwilling to marry off his beloved daughter, has tons of portraits painted of her, is eager to spend time with her. And it's portrayed as rather silly so like. Okay, I'm familiar with this character type. He's the cool ~tyrant~ who's still a good guy because he dotes on the main heroine.

But then the main heroine wants him to meet the secondary heroine and like- okay so the plot of this is that the emperor has three daughters and the middle daughter, Cezanne, is the protagonist, and besides being a kind and mature princess she also has amazing light elemental powers. And then the youngest daughter, Fleta, has darkness powers and is abused and hidden away and eventually causes the apocalypse, so when Cezanne goes back in time she decides to save Fleta and take care of her so that won't happen.

And as part of this plan, Cezanne tries to facilitate a positive relationship between their father and Fleta, but the emperor just refuses. He admits he was fully aware of how Fleta was being abused but he doesn't care, he refuses to acknowledge her as his child, he takes no interest in her when he meets her properly (at Cezanne's urging) and he thinks Cezanne should stop trying to take care of her too.

And it's just jarring seeing this guy who was initially introduced as this normally heroic archetype in rofan stories be so openly cold and cruel to an abused child, because normally in these comics the relationships are a bit... simpler? Like the expected route would be that Doting Daddy had no idea the maids were mistreating Fleta so much, and once he meets her he'd start softening up, but that. Doesn't happen.

Like I'm very early into the story, there's still room for him to thaw, we've gotten a hint of backstory (besides the dark magic, Fleta's mom- probably the emperor's mistress- died in childbirth) that might be used to try and make his abuse more sympathetic, but at the moment he's blatantly an antagonist despite seeming to genuinely adore Cezanne.

Well, since you asked [and I don't get to talk about austyn a lot] Okay, so TL;DR TIME.

Og, OG Kendis - Kendis Crawford Gagne - lost her mom. Rather young from cancer [if I recall right]. It definitely impacted her a lot. However, when I ended up playing Kendis in another RP game, I really liked the backstory we [me and her older Ben's wrietr] had for the mom [we ended up getting her played too for a bit which was FUN!] i was like what if she lived~~ But I also wanted the impact of lost in Kendis' history [bc im unimaginative and couldn't think of another trauma point --- though I ended up doiing so, but that's another story], I came up with Austyn.

Austyn Blanchard basically - or actually - was Kendis' first love. But she died when Kendis was eighteen thanks to drunk driving [I can't remembebr if I said Austyn's or the other driver's. probably both]. Austyn was very much teen Kendis' opposite? In a sense that her family was wealthy - where as Kendis' had been lower middle class and was moving toward middle middle by the time Kendis came around/grew older - and popular ... where as Kendis' mother was seen as an outsider and that weird witch woman. Because she was bi and Kendis' parents were polyam.

Anyway they weren't in each other's circle but came to know each other bc Kendis babysat Austyn's younger sibs. They fell in love but it was hard for Kendis to say the L world and Austyn could never publicly date a woman because her parents were super christian, and a face of that community. [They had plans of being together after HS!!] But then Austyn died. LMAO.

It's in part why Kendis ended up going through to medical school, because that had been their dream. Austyn as a lawyer and Kendis as a doctor [for KCG it had been bc her mom's death. Death leading to healing and ambitions etc etc]

Anyway, it DEVASTATED Kendis. And if it wasn't for her brother Ben -- yikes. Anyway, they moved past it but they also ... kinda didn't lmao.

[I also played around with the idea that Austyn might've been the reincarnated love of Kendis' past life*. But I never settled on it because I'm not a big fan of soulmates.]
