with the end of the month slowly coming up again i am once again unfortunately already broke again and still somewhat in debt, really hoping to get out of that and get a stable enough income to allow me to stay out of debt for the future (i currently make about 1k a month which is very very little for trying to survive in switzerland esp as i currently support myself and a roommate pretty much alone (and currently leaves me somewhat financially dependent on my parents as well which im not gonna be able to be forever), goal for the end of this year is a stable 2k) anything really helps, but the subscription option helps me the most with stability and ability to budget (also i'll hopefully soon manage to give my subscribers actual special benefits).
i hate asking for money so often especially as i haven't put out a new article in quite a while now, but that will change again soon (i have various things in my pipeline and also non text content coming up soon!), and it is the supporters on ko-fi that let me do all the work i do <3

Help a broke, disabled trans guy afford testosterone and escape an abusive situation
Hi. It's me. The broke trans guy.
So. You all probably know me as the guy who reblogs Color of the Sky every. Damn. Day. I uh. I have a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that a lot of you don't know about.
For starters, I recently turned 18. I have been planning on ditching my abusive parents as soon as I hit my birthday. I had a whole big plan that included starting taking writing and art commissions a lot more heavily, getting a WFH job, stuff like that. Thing is, this all requires a working computer. Something I have not had, at this point, for months. I'm currently typing this from my phone while dissociating 👍
I would have liked to get an in-person job, but my parents Lost My Social Security Card and I couldn't get one on my own, being a minor, so I had to wait until very recently to get a replacement card, at which point I could finally get my learners permit. At this point, I'm not going to be able to legally drive on my own without an adult family member in the car supervising until February, maybe March. Because of this, I can't drive myself to work. I had planned on Walking to work, but in the last few months my chronic pain has gotten exponentially worse to the point I now need a cane day-to-day. I obviously cannot walk a couple miles every day just to get to work.
Because of my medical conditions, I have severe dietary restrictions. My parents don't much care for this, and despite there always being food in the house I often go hungry. I am also just sometimes Not Allowed to Eat, and regularly get screamed at for things such as Needing a Mobility Aid and. Existing in a way they don't like.
I have no funds, and I need to start saving so I can escape to college next semester. I'm starting work on my degree for funeral science. I also need money for a new computer, and testosterone. I need food. I need to pay medical bills which are starting to rack up.
Please. share this post. If you can give, give. I need out of here, and so many things besides. A computer and testosterone are my first goals, because with a computer I have more options to earn money. I want to work, I just can't currently.
I wish I didn't have to beg like this. I also wish my PayPal didn't have my dead name but yayy haven't been able to get it changed yet.
I wish I didn't go to bed hungry so often.

I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm afraid I have to get the word out.
Dismantling most accusations/complaints against Pokemon Sleep (There are a few which are actually valid and to a point the developers have started to work on them)
Part 1 - Those I don't understand
- Pokemon sleep steals our biometric data
No they don't, they specify that very well in the terms. Yes they ask to use your mircophone but there are other sleep thrackers that do that. This one simply earned an uproar, because it was Pokemon who dared to. Also in your phones settings under Apps>Pokemon Sleep>Authorization you can disable the app to access your microphone.
- Pokemon Sleep could turn our children to compulsive gambling
As a pedagogical caretaker who actually tried and pkayed the game I can't see this. They are not monopolizing on the time before and after going to bed. Everything you can do is done in at most 10 Minutes. As for the payment options, if there is no Debit/Credit Card or Paypal account behind the account you use on the play store they can't buy anything anyway. If there is it is the responsibility of the parent to show them, on what they would spend real money.
- Pokemon sleep is inaccurate when you're around the room but not on your mattress trying to sleep.
Yeah, no shit sherlock, any other sleep tracker would be too. Even my fitness tracker sometimes counts me being completely still as being asleep in the eveningy when I'm actually just reading or watching something.
- Pokemon Sleep is too hard to play
Actually it is really simple and everything is explained pretty well. A game shouldn't serve you everything on a silver tray, there should be room to explore and I think pokemon sleep does that quite well
- The progress in pokemon sleep is too slow
This is no super fast progress game, duh. It is meant to be relaxed and to encourage you to improve your sleep cycle in a fun and cute way and it does a wonderful job. If you need to have fast progress to have fun, it is a sign of how damaging those games with fast progress actually are, they are much more attention and time grabbing and much more dangerous when it comes to developing compulsive gaming disorder.
Complaints I do understand (and am willing to offer a solution)
- The relaxing tune is too loud.
I had that problem too and it is not a solution of sorts, but they fixed that pretty fast. What I prefer to do though, is to listen to my own custom playlist on my iPad and set the timer to one hour to turn the music off.
- The mobile overheats/the app crashes/it uses too much battery
This one I find more understandable. There is a notion that bug fixes are underway. If you're not willing to wait for the bug fixes an alternative would be to buy the pokemon go plus +. No I'm not sponsored by The Pokemon Company in any way shape or form, but I calculated it trhough. For a sleep tracking device which can also be cross used with Pokemon go, the pricing is alright. My current fitness tracker with an innate sleep tracker costs almost thrice as much. There are Smart watches out there you pay ten times as much for. The device comes with a clip to not fall under your pillow, and your mobile has to do nothing over night, because you simply sync the sleep data in the morning. The battery of the Pokemon Go plus + also keeps going up to one week when fully charged. And needs about 3 1/2 hours to carge from zero.
Due to emotional involvement some of this contains my personal opinion/advice. I'm not seeking any form of a fight over these points, though I'll be happy to discuss them with you contructively in the comments.^^

help a queer disabled couple get housing!
hi! my name is saturn and my partner and i have finally got some of the last pieces together for our move from the city that we are being rapidly priced out of. xe have and a job where we're going and i actually have a couple options lined up. the only problem is that we are currently commuting over an hour one way to get to work right now and all our money is going to gas. we also don't have a place to really go yet once our lease is up in may.
we found an apartment however with a good price and perfect location though! and the people we'd be renting from are willing to hold it for at least this weekend. however, to finalize our hold on it we'd need nearly $300 USD to pay for the applications + fees. that is simply money we do not have until my partner gets paid in nearly two weeks. and we cannot afford to wait that long. plus all of that paycheck is already called for to pay for rent we're late on at our current place, food, and gas.

tossing this out there bc i’m out of options and it can’t really harm a blog that i’m not making any use of, right? nitty gritty under the cut so you don’t have to read my whiny, woe is me bullshit if you don’t want to.
i’m perks. some of you may have known me in the past (way, way, way back in the day) as theperksofbeingasim. i don’t even remember if the sims 4 was out yet when i was posting, i doubt it. it’s been a long time.
i don’t have many followers and i don’t truly interact with anyone simply because i’m out of the loop and my sims gameplay is mediocre to look at at best but i’m in desperate need of some sort of help, not sure what kind but monetary is all i can think of right now.
i live with my mother, helping her care for my younger brother who is autistic and unable to care for himself. i’m working a seasonal job currently in addition to running an etsy shop that’s not doing so hot and attending grad school. i’m also disabled (epidermolysis bullosa simplex + lymphedema in my left leg as a result of two surgeries on my ankle). my mom’s in bankruptcy and her paychecks (she’s a sped teacher at the elementary level + does accounting on the weekends) is being zapped for almost all they’re worth at the moment.
we don’t have any groceries in our fridge. our last $20 went to getting dog and cat food for our animals (priorities). even $5 would go towards feeding my family and i’d pay it forward eventually, somehow and in some way. i can reblog your posts, write you a shitty poem, or just send a massive thank you! out into the universe and hope it finds its way to you. i’m pretty good at all of those.

Help A Queer Single Mother Pay Her Bills In September?
Hi! We got our rent paid (thank you all for your help!), but I have no money left to pay bills and I also need to rehome my son so we have a chance to keep our lease.
I currently live in a 55+/disabled community, and my son is not allowed to live on the premises with us. We’re looking into safe alternatives for housing, but we may just need to put him in a hotel for a while and we don’t have the money for that. Tomorrow (9/7/22) we’ll learn more about options from the YMCA but we’re running out of time to get our lease renewed. There’s an Econo Lodge near our house we can send him to with his X-Box and some food, but for one week it's $117 a night. It’s the only inn in the area, and we might be able to get a voucher for my son, but I’m not sure.
We also have bills to pay. It totals $434.43 for all of our bills for the month, ranging from electricity and internet to catalog orders. Any help we can get paying them would be huge. The first bill is due in one week, and that’s the electricity bill.

UPDATE: So yesterday (9/8/22), management at my apartment complex decided not to renew our lease. Our rent check hadn’t cleared yet so we took out money to buy groceries and things we needed to start packing and look for a new apartment. Management wants an extra $220 a month for a two month month-to-month agreement on top of our rent. We don’t know if this is legal but we’re not paying it just yet.
We are about to overdraft my mom’s account by $1200 if the check goes through and we need to cover that. Or we can cover my account, which is only overdrawn by $400. Either way, we have a lot of overdrafts and we don’t want to take out loans if we need to have an apartment complex run a credit check on us.
Any help is huge. Even $5 would make a big difference. I just want to get into housing somewhere else and not be homeless again because my disabled body just can’t take living in a car again, especially if we can’t secure housing for my son before we have to leave.

WE NEED HELP WITH RENT!!!
My mom and I had to take out a bunch of loans to cover expenses and now we have nothing for rent. My mom is $600 overdrawn and I'm $140. We'll be getting our monthly payments soon but it's all going to be eaten up by loans that still need to come out.
I need to come up with $1,300 (which is rent plus PayPal fees) by August 3rd. This is an emergency, as three disabled people live in my apartment and there is no way we can survive homelessness again.

Queer Single Mom In Need Of Help With Rent & Groceries - Please Read!
Hello! I’m the queer single parent to a bisexual son and one of the main providers for my household (which also includes my disabled mother). Due to some financial screw-ups I am going to be short on my rent and I really need to cover it (I know I have another post going around, but my overdraft is going to drastically change amounts by the 3rd of March so I’m taking it off, my phone bill got paid and our electrical bill debt is going into a special payment program as of our next bill).
What I desperately need now, by March 3rd at the latest, is $400 to cover my share of the rent and $257.97 to cover loans my mom took out to cover bills last month. This will help me keep a roof over the head of myself, my mother and my teenage son.
I could also use a little more help with groceries. My mother no longer qualifies for pandemic assistance food stamps in the middle of the month, and my son is eating us out of house and home. Plus extra groceries I can get for my mom before the 28th would be great, as she’s having extensive dental surgery and we don’t think she’ll be able to eat solids for up to a week.
I also need cat food and cat litter for my cats, if anyone can help with that. I have a Amazon wishlist up here if anyone can help with that.

I know I still have loans to cover for my mom and myself, but we are in DESPERATE need of food. It's five more days until we get our food stamps, and we're out of milk, almost out of meat and cheese for sandwiches, and I need cream of mushroom soup and sour cream and evaporated milk to make at least three meals with. My kid is eating us out of house and home but I can't just not feed him. If I can get $50 that would be a HUGE help.

Queer Single Mom Needs Help With Bills - Please Read!
Hello! I’m the queer single parent to a bisexual son and one of the main providers for my household (which also includes my disabled mother). We got the rent covered (thanks to everyone who reblogged and donated), but it took all of our money and we can't pay our bills this month. We need to raise money to cover things like car insurance, our electric bill, the storage unit we rent, and my overdraft with my bank and a few loan repayments. Our storage unit is the most pressing, since if we don't pay the $294 by the 10th it goes up.
I included a list of everything we need to pay below. I can get proof for all of it if anyone has any questions on validity. I'm hoping after I get this month and next month taken care of I won't need to ask for as much help; I'm in a debt relief program for my credit cards and some loan debt, and most of the loans I'm left with will be paid off by May 1st, which will free up $400 a month to put towards bills. Hey y’all! If you don’t know me, my name is Sheena, though I often go by Duessa. I am a queer, nonbinary, disabled freelance artist married to my wonderful spouse, Nick.
Though I really hate to do this, Nick and I are in financial trouble, or more specifically, car trouble. Currently we depend on Nick’s retirement/disability funds in order to pay for bills, food, and medical care. I was supposed to be having surgery later in the summer to help alleviate some of my daily neck and shoulder pain, however something more urgent has happened.
Our car and only source of transportation is dead. The engine is completely dead and would need to be replaced, a costly repair that would take far more time than we have. We live far enough away from all friends and family that getting transportation to doctors appointments and grocery stores would be extremely difficult. We also assist other disabled people with lack of transportation.
We are asking for any aid we can get, whether it is passing a few dollars our way or just spreading the word. The money would be used to two the old, dead car to a lot and help pay for a new one, as well as transportation and medical bills. We have an appointment with a car dealer today (5/23) to discuss payment option, so we do not know yet exactly how much we will need, but I have set it at $3000 currently.

Over the course of the year, shit has been happening to everyone, we understand that. Especially with all the natural disasters and covid-stricken families. Luckily, Eli and I have avoided both of those things. Unluckily, all the things we have not avoided will not give us any more time or leniency.
Our landlord is threatening us with eviction, since our rental assistance checks came late. The reason we applied for rental assistance was because of the lack of transportation for a while in Laramie, and the lack of any support systems with transportation. That made it hard for us to get to work. This made us ridiculously behind on a lot of things, and fully depleated both of our savings. On top of this, we had to pay about 6 times rent just to move in. (rent, security deposits, and two financial backings) We know he can't do much legally, but we also know he's a complete toad and will do what he can to make it impossible for us to live here. Eli and I are doing our best to save up to move out and either go to PA or MO (both places have local support systems for us), but that's been hard, considering we have no financial cushion... This leads to our second problem.
Eli had been medically neglected his whole life, and when we tried to get him seen about brain injuries, Ehlers Danlos, and TMJ, we were charged out the ass for MRIs and CAT scans. Of course, we didn't have the funds to pay up, and they are now in collections. We had applied for Medicaid in March, and are STILL waiting for a response. Our insurance is kind enough to mention that if Medicaid denies Eli, we would still be able to get coverage for some of the procedures and ask for them to reissue billing. However, this is not certain, as they have a specified timely filing process. (meaning that we have to pay bills in full after a certain amount of time). Depending on how fast Medicaid gets back to us, the situation could be a disaster.
All things considered, we are trying to make the best out of every situation. This time, it's been harder than usual. ANY AND ALL donations, even as small as a dollar, would be appreciated. If needed, I'm available to discuss the best ways to go about donation.

hi guys, i hate having to ask for help, but i'm totally screwed right now. i am a disabled nonbinary lesbian trying to find a place to live. i have no job and only $10 to my name. my father kicked me out for the third time this month, and i've been relying on my aunt and cousin for housing and transportation. on top of that, my truck is undrivable, and i can't afford to get it fixed.
i am actively applying for jobs, but my disabilities give me limited options. either way, my issue is urgent, and getting a first paycheck is still going to take forever. my best friend and his partner plan on being my roommates, but neither have enough money saved up at the moment. for the apartment we found, rent is $625 a month, deposit is also $625, and an extra $250 for pets. i don't have a price for how much my truck is going to cost yet, but i'll know on friday.
i'm also doing art commissions, although my tablet isn't in great shape.

Hey, it's nat!
I'm at a point again where I need to urgently ask for financial help.

Explanation:
I have a history of housing insecurity (past homelessness) and I generally go hungry a lot (especially right now) because I cannot afford food. I also financially support my partner as best as I can through begging.
I also have an eating disorder (ARFID) that makes food a higher expense to make up for lost nutrients, because there are only specific foods I can eat. ARFID isn't a choice, has little to no awareness, and there are no free treatment options that I know of. I frequently deal with iron deficiency anemia as part of it.
On top of this, I'm trying to fundraise for tuition (around $5k CAD immediately to be able to go back ASAP, w/ future costs pending), a portable laundry machine (around $200-300), and to pay off outstanding student debt from the first time I went to school as a teenager (>$20k, though I am allowed to go back on loans again if I make a downpayment on the interest, which means a min payment of $500ish).
I initially went to university at 17, and had to drop out (after being on academic probation) at 18 due to homelessness, family death and estrangement.
I'm currently 26 and went back to school briefly for the Winter 2020 semester, before everything shut down. Prior to the pandemic, I had a 98% average in all of my classes.
Going back to school was immensely gratifying for me for the time I did it in. It gave me a huge sense of direction, purpose, and something to do that I was passionate about, in ways I couldn't experience before because I was homeless.
I desperately want to go back full-time, but I'm still paying off last semester's tuition.
I cannot currently work the majority of entry-level jobs because I am physically disabled in ways that most jobs of that variety do not account for accommodations for. (Using a rollator wouldn't really work out well in a McDonald's kitchen, and jobs often like to sneak in ableist criteria like, "must be able to lift up to 50 lbs" - which I can't do.)
That said, I hope people who regularly read this blog know and understand the degree of effort and expertise I put into helping you all, and maybe some who are able to would like to forward a few dollars as a tip or something.

Ok, So If you havent been here long heres a brief summery:

My landlord has recently been very harsh towards me and my roomates. We are in a shared home. And ever since Covid19 hit our jobs we cant do more than the bare minimum. Im currently behind 2,000$ in rent. But i cant send more than my current rent so i can save for transportation, new living space, food, etc.
This in turn has made my landlord angry at almost everything Ive done now in light of them knowing what I have to go through to pay at least rent for the current month.
We have to move in two months. Please Help.

Now On with the story:
So as of lately Ive been trying to seek legal and familial advice about how the landlord treats me. and most have said that I more than likely could sue (Its that bad), and I should find a way to move out immediately. But the world is cruel to disabled people like myself so often times, me getting assistance through Grants and State is often denied.
Right now, Im currently working a seasonal job just so i can have some extra income flowing in for the rest of the year. But after that, im on my own again and theres nothing to help me.
Im really worried that I wont be able to make it to even February without some form of extra help from somewhere. I know theres people having the same issue so this might seem boring.
But this is to other roomates as well who have also been harassed by the landlord. They have been so pressured to do something that they dont even want to leave their rooms anymore for fear of seeing the landlord and having to feel like garbage cause they cant get a job.
I cant help them anymore and even though ive helped them in the past, im starting to suffer, physically and financially. Im not sure what to do anymore since I really want to be able to help, but i myself can hardly stand. This is why I need your help!
I want to be able to at least pay for my moving fees for this month and next. I plan to move really soon with how the events turn out so far. Ive currently applied to one place with a roomate of mine that should be able to have things moved out by the middle of December.
But, It costs about 200$ to move in, and with how im faring right now, Im barely going to even make that much before we are expected to move out.

I am very tired. Please help if you can.
2020 has been stressful for everyone and it has not pulled any punches on me. I am beyond exhausted and full of fear for my immediate future. I know there are things happening in this world right now which are much bigger than I am and deserve your help and support probably more than I, a single person do. The past few years have been nothing if not a struggle and a desperate attempt to hold onto life. I have been in abusive relationships, I have moved across the country 3 times in hopes of a better life, I have often gone hungry, I have been in the mental hospital, I have been stalked and groomed and I have not been able to sleep from being so fucking terrified, and when I do sleep it is scarcely restful. I have nightmares often. I have constantly been just a step away from being on the streets. I don’t know if I will have a place to live in the upcoming months, and I know that no matter how many times I speak of this and tell you all my story it probably will not save me. But I suppose I can at least try.
I’ll explain what all is going on in specific under the cut, but suffice to say that yes, this is another post wherein I beg for money. I don’t want to do this, I am sick to death of doing this, but it is legitimately my only option.

So, I am trying to focus on the present. I haven’t done laundry in a long while because I haven’t had any change, nor have I had enough in my account to withdraw cash and then break it down into quarters. I don’t have insurance because I can’t find a way to the government services building that wouldn’t be over $40 for a round trip. I need insurance because I can’t afford to continue my HRT without it, nor replace my birth control implant. I’ve been off of T for 3 weeks now, and my hormones are probably extremely fucked considering my implant also just expired, making my low mood even worse. On top of that, in order to apply for welfare I need a doctor’s note explaining why I can’t work. I can’t see a doctor without insurance. I literally only need state insurance. I cannot apply online. I have a cat, and she only has enough food for tomorrow. I do not know what I will do after then. I also need to purchase a new ID from this state to prove my residency, and I need to purchase certain certifications regarding a name change from 2 years ago because I still don’t have that sorted out (and am considering changing my legal name again, for privacy, safety, and because I do not connect to our current legal name) I have no income whatsoever other than donations, and while I am trying to open art commissions again I do not have much energy these days to complete them in a way that I feel deserves your money.
Almost a month ago now I finished the most recent cross-country move in order to escape an abusive ex partner. I was living alone in a state where he was the only person I knew, and was my only means of economic stability. I relied on him financially because I had no other choice. I am disabled, and I have a pending disability case which is now in the stages wherein I need to find a lawyer. I haven’t been able to get a lawyer because I have absolutely no money to my name other than the $1.77 in my bank account, and because I haven’t even had a stable address. I lost a lot in this last move. I don’t even have a bed frame now, but at this point sleeping somewhere not on the floor is the least of my concerns.
I have been waiting for my name to come up in public housing for over a year now. I applied last April, and was told my time would come up in April of 2020. It clearly did not. I have now been told it could come up anywhere from now until October, but it looks like it should be coming up in July, but I have no definitive dates whatsoever. I have to be out of the apartment I am currently in by July 31st. If public housing does not open up for me by then, I will be on the streets until it does. If I am denied housing for any reason, I will be on the streets. And not only that, but my partner is looking to move in with me into public housing to escape an abusive home as well. They have written their own posts briefly covering their situation, and I will not put words into their mouth, but suffice to say they are regularly denied food as well as other necessities. We are both counting on public housing to save us.

Urgent Help Needed-Tree Fell On My House
Hi I’m Parker I’m a mixed black disabled gay person and last week a tree fell on my house.
The only room that was majorly damaged was my room but there’s five holes in the roof and due to issues with covering them there’s now water damage inside of the roof as well. My uncle, who is also our landlord, let our house insurance lapse without informing us so we’ve been in short terms absolutely fucked. We’re persuing legal measures against him but that’s going to take some time. Our power has had to be shut off for safety reasons which has caused us to lose the majority of our groceries and my supply of medicine which totals hundreds of dollars. My pets need food while we’re finding foster families for them because the shelter hasn’t been able to help us. The red cross helped my family get a hotel for a week but after tomorrow we won’t have a place to stay at all unless we somehow come up with more money to keep pouring into it or find somewhere to stay. I stayed with a friend of mine for as long as possible but that is no longer an option.
I’m diagnosed with behcets disease, and stressful situations aggrevate my flares and often cause them to begin with. Due to this without a place to stay and without medicine I could end up in the hospital which I cannot afford.
After monday we should have an exact estimate on how much money it’ll take to redo the roof. We’re still currently in the process of removing the tree from the roof.
We need immediate donations towards housing. After tomorrow we’ll also need donations towards fixing our house, I’ll update this post with the ammount then. All donations will be going towards what’s been stated above however. Food, shelter, pet supplies, home repair, and once the home is repaired I’m going to be in need of a new mattress and boxsprings so anything left will be going towards that. There are some pictures below for proof of the situation. If you live in the kingsport/east tennessee area and would be willing to foster an animal or help in any way please dm me.
