did a round of eye swaps this weekend! it's the most ive done all at once, and i gotta say, i do not recommend it. by the time i got new eyes in these four, my hands were begging me to stop, so poor Priscilla sat eyeless for a while. but I'm really happy with the results!

let me walk you through the process a bit.

i used this guide to help decide which eyes i wanted to use.

this all started because i wanted Daria's eyes for Zooey.

Daria's eyes don't match her color scheme at all, and this has always bothered me about her. they stand out too much, and its jarring. but that minty blue and pale pink are Zooey's colors exactly, it would complete her alien vibe perfectly.

but, unfortunately, Zooey and Daria have different eye chips. Daria has the Twins eye chip, which has four pegs to keep it in place in the socket, and Zooey has the newer B2 chip, which has only two prongs. i was worried that Daria's eyes wouldnt fit in Zooey's head, so i prepared a backup donor: Simone.

Simone has the CNY eye chip, first introduced in Lily Cheng, the Special Edition doll for the Chinese New Year in 2022. this eye mold is more similar to the B2 eyes since it also has only two prongs, so if Daria's eyes didnt sit right in Zooey, these might be a better fit. the colors arent as perfect, but it could work.

except that Darias eyes fit Zooey perfectly. she looks so cute! now her eyebrows are even more out of place, but I'll get to that later.

i had already taken out Simone's eyes to compare the two, so she was given Zooey's eyes.

i was blown away by how incredible she looks! so soft and sweet. i was fond of her before, but she's crawled up into my top ten faves with this one alteration.

now, i was going to give those eyes to Daria, but they obviously belong to Simone now. Daria still needs brown eyes though, so i brought out a more fitting donor for her: Priscilla. she has the same color eyes as Zooey, but in the Twins eye chip.

perfect for ms. Daria, much more natural. it's just what she needed.

now, i wasn't intending to bring Minnie into this, but her eyes are a bit unusually dark, and i had Simone's eyes sitting there.. and well. i already had the hair dryer out.

honestly? a serve. she has B2 eyes originally, like Zooey, so the lashes are Just under her eyelid but they still fit her sculpt pretty well.

at this point, my hands were aching, and i had worn a blister into my thumb, so i had to take a break. Pris was going into the stock box anyway, so there was no pressure to finish her, but the next day i came back and gave her Minnie's eyes for safekeeping.

she looks a little sleepy, but overall pretty cute. she probably won't stay this way because she's going into the potential custom pile, but its fine for now.

look at these four and how perfect they are!! Zooey and Daria came out exactly how i planned, but i am still so shook by how beautiful Simone is now. i just cant stop looking at her.

Polin-specific Mini Predictions

We know big things we can expect from the season ie: carriage, etc, but here are more minor things I thought up after the promo pics came out via Tudum.

Penelope will call out Colin for traveling to avoid things, but she will do it as Lady Whistledown in one of her papers.

Penelope's deep insecurities will be put on display in a fight with Colin. She will say something immensely horrible about herself in a way that hasn't been displayed on the show before & Colin will be caught off guard; it will eventually lead to some grand, romantic words from Colin to her that contradict Pen's negative thoughts about herself (not to automatically complete her own journey of seeing herself better, but for it to make it clear that Colin thinks the exact opposite of how she badly views herself).

There will be rain, MORE than once-1 will be a huge romantic scene, but 1 will be a casual scene & not that big a moment in the scheme of the season.

Colin will teach Penelope a dance during their lessons. Obviously they've danced together a number of times, but this time he will actually teach her a specific move or dance and tension will definitely occur.

Nicola narrating as LW will be integrated more. I'm expecting some powerful moments/dramatic scenes of Penelope fully standing in her identity as Whistledown.

Just had this thought (remembering Simone called this season "condensation central"): I feel like the obvious thought is rain, but idk I feel like there will be a shower moment once they are established as a couple (or married). Nothing crazy though-like a moment put into a montage; maybe a cute, casual occurrence that shows their life as a domestic couple (could also be something like this for Kanthony)

From revisiting season 1, it reminded me of how often certain skills are brought up in order to make someone more desirable & secure a match. I feel like Penelope could possibly begin learning a new language or go about perfecting her dialect, as a nod to her s2 LW quest, in an attempt to associate her with some special skill. Bonus: Colin would be shocked/amazed/lost/confused & I would be living for it.

Nicola's mention of this being the most scandalous season so far-a lot of talk about this referring to a Violet possible storyline, but also I feel like we just sort of gloss over the obvious scandal to be present in C & P's story as well-sneaking, moments between them that even they might not even expect to happen. This has been on my wishlist since as early as the plot was announced. Colin could be doing it for secret lessons, he could be going to apologize, or they could be sneaking around following the first instance of something happening between them. Colin inside Pen's house (in her room), or a scene at her window-idc, I've imagined something of this sort.

Colin wrote a lot about Penelope as she was ignoring him on his travels. He documents everything in his journal & Pen will find something written when she goes through it without his permission. She will be shocked because it will reveal something about his feelings.

Either Colin or Pen will write 1 or more letter(s) that they don't send the other due to the vulnerability in them. This will be revealed towards the end of the season in a very sweet, romantic moment where they confess to and show the other one.

BRIDGERTON SEASON 2 TRAILER BREAKDOWN

(As someone who’s working her way though the books, and is on number four, and has found a new hyperfixation)

OKOKOKOKOK HERE ARE SOME OBSERVATIONS:

it looks like they’re really gonna play with the whole Whistledown/Penelope thing this season, so that’ll definitely keep things fresh & off book. I kinda forgot the Queen existed in the world of the show, and personally, it’s a welcome addition now that I know what to expect from the main plot, so I can be surprised by tv exclusive characters and plot lines.

KATE AND EDWINA!!!!! EDWINA AND KATE!!! MY DARLINGS! MY BELOVEDS!!! The casting is so insanely perfect!! Edwina seems just as cute, proper, and doe eyed as she was in the book, LOOK AT HER LIL PINK DRESSES MY B A B E Y!!! She’s canonically like 17 so I’m positive they’re gonna age her up, which is very rad.

It looks like Lady Danbury is going to be sponsoring the girls, and for the route the show takes, it’s such a great choice!! Lady Danbury isn’t an integral character in the books, especially not the first few, and making her a matriarchal or mentor figure for other characters in the show is SUCCHHHH an amazing idea. Love a bad bitch💜

I like the teeny differences I see already! Like Newton being uneasy with Anthony from the start, instead of being a Good Boy™️ right away.

I like the consistency with wardrobe, (particularly the featheringtons) and how they’re keeping Penelope in the gaudy fits until much later.

Eloise is out now ig! Ik her and Penelope are sort of having their own little B plot throughout the season, and idk if I’m looking forward to it. I kind of lean in favor of book Eloise as opposed to Netflix Eloise ngl. That might change though!

I LOOOVE the snippet we got of the Bridgerton Boys at the races with nearly identical fits bc all they talk about in the books is how it’s hard to tell them apart sometimes.

Speaking of, if seems like we’ll be getting more Benedict and Colin this season!!!

Benedict had more of a personality in the first season of the show than he did in the books until his own, and even then it didn’t exactly feel like something earned. J like how we’re building up to him (maybe my fav brother)

Season Two thoughts

On my lunch break so I’m finally able to process my thoughts

While I would be dead right now if we got a trailer. Pictures is what I guessed we were getting. I assumed it would be either new posters or more teaser pics. I do think we will see a teaser trailer before March though.

The amount of Jonny and Simone content made sense to me and I say this as a fan. Anthony and Kate’s story is being held close to their chest, so I don’t think we are going to get a lot more details until closer to or after the new season. I think it was the perfect balance of not giving away any of Kate and Anthony’s story line while leaving me for wanting more of Jonny and Simone. Perfect for the start of a press tour 😏 I have no doubt we will be getting a lot more articles, interviews, and photo shoots!!

While all the other information we got from the article was exciting, there wasn’t a lot of brand new information and I think that was intentional. Polin being friends to lovers, Eloise hating the ton and dreading debuting, all the info about the Sharma’s, Pall Mall? Is really information we already knew.

Tbh the love triangle comment didn’t bother me. Edwina, Anthony, and Kate are in a triangle, I wouldn’t call it a love triangle, but I could see how it could be over simplified to one. Edwina would have to look at Anthony as a potential husband candidate in order to secure financial security for her family, even if she does find him extremely boring. Anthony pursues Edwina because he thinks she would make a suitable wife AND he won’t fall in love with her. Anthony also is having lots of thoughts and feelings about Kate while he’s supposed to be pursuing Edwina. Kate has feelings for Anthony no matter how much she argues it’s about protecting her sister. So a triangle? Yes, A love triangle? I don’t think so

I get why everyone’s chomping at the bit (horse pun intended 😂) Call it my eternal optimism, but I have no doubt we will get everything we want and more!!

Compatible Hearts: A simarkus essay

I'm tired of listening to people talk about Markus’ route as less than. It’s always about how incoherent everything is. I’m not trying to deny it, but I also think there’s no such thing as a perfect game, or a perfect story. It may be because I’m a fan, but to me the plot doesn’t have to be revolutionary as long as it conveys emotion.

What gets me in the sense of the game’s ‘flaws’ and if they are flaws at all, is the unfinished ‘Simon’s route’ aka. everyone’s favorite theory!. The follow-him-instead-of-North-choice that has no impact, the fact that he’s the one to give Markus his heart if she's unavailable: what does it tell us? The ship’s popularity indicates that a lot of players picked on it: Simon seems almost obviously in love with Markus, yet it isn’t explicitly there. If Simon was supposed to be a romanceable character, the plan was scrapped.

So why? There are these two people that scramble trying to relate to each other, whose relationship is never made entirely clear, whose bond seems to blossom on the moment of the other’s death. Why is it so captivating? The writing doesn’t support them, but the incompleteness itself makes it. What we are not given emphasizes the question: is love less meaningful if it’s not explicit? Because it’s certainly present in these narrow windows of time, the liminal spaces; it is to love within few resources, in the context of death, in the eye of the storm. Are theirs not a love story in its barest of forms, never to have each other truly? I feel like the less there is the more power this ship has: it’s love persisting… And I don't think it exists only in the eye of the beholder. How could the choice to ‘follow Simon’ be meaningless when later on in the church he tells Markus “We’ll follow you”... Isn’t that all the reciprocation we craved?

I can’t stop thinking about how perishable they are. How many different ways Simon dies for Markus. That’s half of the most maddening thing: combined with the lack of actual romance it’s just crushing. It’s like he’s there just to die. Like he is an afterthought to his creators.

You’ve probably heard this Iliad quote before: “Gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment may be our last.” In their case it has double the weight because in principle, androids are immortal. They just chose to give it away by deviating. Connor-60 asks the question: “Why did you have to wake up, when all you had to do was obey?” Why did they? When Markus converts androids, they don’t hesitate to take the offer. Why would they risk everything in seconds?

Besides the awareness of themselves as a person, I think half the appeal is in the meaning of it. Not even in the wilderness life is all about self-preservation and completing tasks: you know, like bears like to sit down and enjoy the view! It’s the ability to see beauty and acknowledge it: to care for someone and be cared for in return: to have meaningful experiences and after the fact, appreciate your memories. All tales of immortality revolve around the person’s memories, filtered through “I don’t want this feeling to end”. Our experiences make us who we are: we’re constructed from our emotional reactions to rejection, connection, longing, love.

The pursuit of these experiences, to feel something meaningful, is at the core of being a human and what I think drove us to create androids in DBH; to continue the pursuit of it, or to give it to someone else. Just think about homecare androids! In Liminality I wrote: “What he’d been built for and what he wanted was the same. He was made to love the same.” about Simon, and that's what I feel like the affinity of deviants is: they’re us.

Our hearts are compatible.

To have all that in a course of a single gameplay was beyond amazing to me. I wish I could see it again for the first time. I saw all of their loyal honesty, the raw, modest, quiet love. They have something deeper than a companionship. It was devotion.

And the most appealing thing about it is never what you'd expect it to be -they fall in love and live -but what it is, and that's a struggle. Simarkus is an illusion of player's control, a half-collapsed route, the ruins of a linear romance… It's a struggle to understand and stay alive, the struggle of which makes it, that defines it… It’s the delicate fragility of their togetherness -they don’t get to say “I love you” and walk away. There are vanishingly few endings in which they do.

To me, the most beautiful route is: Markus meets Simon, loses him, Simon returns to him, he gives him his heart. And intended or not, despite what it came to be or did not, all of it between them seems inherently romantic, the promise to at least be with you until the end, the thing most of us crave innately.

Even if he wasn’t given the chance to show it, it’s there in all of his deaths. Even if he does it all for just one person: he risks himself to be known by him and us the same. And so, we see Simon die over and over again because it has an impact on us. The reaction is human, and that is the beauty of story-driven games even if they are not revolutionary: and it’s the same beauty in every piece of art.

Maybe I'm just cheering for the underdog, relentlessly searching for beauty in the little things. Even so, I wouldn't change my experience for anything; I love simarkus<3 And if you read this far I assume you do too. <3 Cheers for us!

It's Christmas today and all throughout the fandom, as in life, we are adjusting to the disruption of holiday traditions. Here at DOTD we are accustomed to our annual pictures of Harry in Cheshire, Louis from his birthday night out via the paps and in Doncaster via sisters, Niall and his hometown bros living it up in Mullingar, Liam posting us a message (okay so that's the same this year), and maaybe a little something hinting that Zayn exists via his mum. This year all is topsy turvy, the boys are presumably celebrating in some way wherever they are (Anne and Gemma both tell us that they are not with Harry but don’t say where he is, Maya posted implying that Liam was in London with her, the others are silent), I simply hope they are all able to, as Liam wishes for us, “have a good one or as good as you can.”

But that's not to say we haven't gotten any presents this year! The Brazilian fans are always there for us- today we got an unseen of Louis from the infamous 2014 Rio escapades (partying, pools, bread van transport, a lot of drinking, Harry and Louis getting photographed in public holding hands which is likely to do with the previous, and Harry being so excited about it all that he got the Brasil tattoo.) What of it, you ask, we've seen plenty of pics of them from that day! Yeah, well the caption really elevated it-- “the night I danced funk with Harry Styles, but only took a picture with his man,” but also the fact that it’s from that night. She was like you guys the caption was a JOKE, I only saw them “hugging very friendly,” but the joke's on the official narrative: the point isn't that we thought she knew something, it's that contrary to the official story of the time her picture shows that Louis was there that night, and that for sooooome reason there was need to lie about that and claim he wasn’t. And in other cheery gifts of the season, an old picture showing Louis buying one of the Christmas trees that he had delivered to “his Hampstead home” (Harry’s house) from a place called Pines and Needles (lol), and unverifiable anon stories of 1) Harry and Louis being menaces and partying together, revealed to the fan supposedly by probably Oli a friend of theirs, AND 2) a story of them ordering from a drive through fast food window while high AF, both pretty believable tales tbh and a real consistent theme here today.

Liam posted a Christmas pic of himself posing with an enormous tree (is that his new house?? It looks like a hotel lobby!) and we got the final day of the LP Advent alarm! He and Roman wish us Merry Christmas, remind us that all the proceeds went to Trussel Trust and UNICEF, thank you for listening blah blah etc, Liam says he hears us that we love it and want more and that might happen in the future (I for one am in!), and then it ends on the perfect note to hilariously sum up the alarm's vibe and journey over the last weeks, accidentally cutting Liam off mid sentence, LMAO.

And finally I have one holiday tradition that not even a worldwide pandemic can stop: reminding you once more that this is the anniversary of the day two years ago that Simon Cowell announced that his great new idea was a band of singing and dancing CGI apes called The Monkeys “based on stars of One Direction and Take That,” because with an animated band “he won't have to deal with... human[s],” which he was hoping would restore Syco to relevance. He clearly sobered up shortly after and tried to erase all evidence of this ever happening from the collective memory but I am NOT HAVING THAT so let's once more raise a glass to Simon's idiocy and failure this christmas, and to all a good night!

Liam went live today, to promote the LP Act 3 watchback (which is tomorrow!), as well as talk about...well, anything but himself, because he “talks about himself every day” and aren't we bored with it cause he is! He let us know that he and Tom Felton will be doing a duet of Little Things tomorrow during the watchback, so SOMEONE better put it on here so I can see it and SOB. He did an impression of Roman Kemp doing an impression of Harry Styles (though he didn’t know what Harry was doing tonight): “ummmm, hi, guys,” he said, in a nasally voice and deep register. “It’s not perfect,” he admits, “but I did manage to fool someone the other day!”. Liam also tried other character voices, including Tom Felton, Voldemort, and Mickey Mouse, but he couldn’t do Louis (“I can’t do his voice without listening for a long time”) or Niall (“he doesn’t like my impression of him), but he did sing a bit of “This Town”, as it’s his favorite Niall song! Liam talked some more about his art, and how people get better at it - draw some artistic theory study drawings (“like a glass of water”) and things that you’re comfortable with (“I’m quite comfortable with rats at the moment” can’t wait to see his rendition of Simon Cowell).  His sister Ruth tried to get on the live with him, but to no avail :(, as they had some connection issues (“I didn’t cut my sister off,” he said indignantly. “U did”, Ruth replied in the chat). He also reassured us that he won’t ever stop talking about One Direction (“I’ll be talking about it ‘til the day I roll over”) because it was the best time of his life. It was so good, in fact, that just the other day he went back and rewatched ALL of the One Direction adverts ever made (“because Maya hadn’t seen them all” mhmm sure, keep telling yourself that!). Liam also tweeted about World Children’s Day, posted more pictures of him in his Hugo capsule, and did another zoom call with fans! 

Niall's behind the scenes video from the RAH is out and it's actually an Ashe behind the scenes video and it’s...odd. I mean she's great, but the video is a sequence of discombobulated shots leading up to the day of the Royal Albert Hall show. Favorite parts include: the disconnected captions throughout the video (including the random “Gucci” floating around), Niall and Ashe awkwardly flirting (“you’ve been working out,” she says. “Yeah! Is it good for you?,” Niall laughs) and some studio practice content. We also got some behind the scenes content from Harry’s team: an article about how they shot ‘Falling’! Francois Audouy - a design magazine - walked through the tech of building the set. We got behind the scenes pics- scuba divers on set!- some fun trivia about the piano- it was 100 years old and belonged to starlet Deanna Durbin who died in 2013 at age 91, talk about the Harry's-tattoo inspired paintings they added to it, and we learned that the piano, unfortunately, died that day, as a result of being submerged in water- “the black keys falling (haha) away like broken teeth”. The video itself was shot in heated water with divers on hand to assure everyone’s safety. Harry has also been named one of Brandwatch’s most influential people on twitter, which is quite a feat, considering he’s never ON twitter!

The puns (the obvious one), he has such a beautiful transformation from a generic popular kid to the one we love, he was clearly playing a bit of a role in S1 and definitely had his wall up. He needed the perfect person to bring them down. He clearly is vulnerable and has insecurities. My friend @booknerdeepika54 has come up with a wonderful theory about him having abandonment issues. Gastón is my original insecure cool, guy who is just afraid to be rejected.

least favorite thing about them

Oxford. Need I say any more? Here is a full essay about why it makes no sense. Or more like it is not Oxford in itself, but how the whole situation with break up made no sense. He only went there because he had Nina's support and could still be with her. He literally says in S2E62 I believe that he won't go if she asks, so if being at Oxford would have meant losing Nina, he would have given it up in heartbeat. He didn't chase her around for a year for nothing. Also, the whole break-up scene did him so dirty, with the nonsensical reasoning and his stoic expression. Why couldn't he cry? This is not even a question. Gastteo is the Brotp of the world. they are literal brothers. They are my favorite friendship in media and are how healthy male friendships should be. They talk about feelings, confide in one another, are not afraid of being vulnerable with each other and have no reservations about saying I love you platonically or hugging each other when the other is feeling down. Their friendship was so strong that they fell in love with two small brunettes who were also best friends so they would never be separated. Just read the lyrics of Aqui Estoy, that pretty much sums it up. Matteo could never replace Gastón with Simon & co in S3. I am still salty that no one told Gastó about the fence. Matteo could have died, but no one thought of informing his best friend. Gastón would have sprinted back, at least for a visit, since well, his best friend was in the hospital, but also because he probably was unconsciously looking for a reason for return to see Nina.

Nina, there is no question about that either. You all know how I feel about Gastina. The original healthy, unproblematic Disney couple who actually knows how to communicate. Their story is both nerd x jock and best friends of the protagonists done right. One of my favorite things about them is that they were never exactly shy on PDA, something that you would think Nina would not like. You'd think they'd moved slowly, but in second episode of S2 we get the locker scene, where Nina was pinned against the wall, and it didn't seem like it was the first time. They didn't kiss in from of people but I think they really should have on at least a couple occasions, but making out in public definitely was not off-limits. They both complete each other perfectly since they are both different but also similar at the same time and they are soul mates. Gastón is exactly what Nina need and vice versa

Uhmmm. This is hard. You'd think should be obvious: Delfi, since Gastón doesn't really have other love interest unless you count Flor, which I don't. Some of you might know about my dark past about being a Gasfina shipper, but I don't hate them. I just find them both hilarious how wrong they are (Gastón never touched her once and we know that Gastón is big on physical affection) and second-hand embarrassment for Gastón not figuring it out. But I think they are kind of necessary for his and Gastteo character development from the popular people to their true selves. Actually, I am glad that Gastón doesn't have any other options for his Notp. One thing I thank Disney for is that during that phone call of doom in S3 when Nina tells Gastón about Eric, they didn't make it so Gastón had a girlfriend at Oxford since I firmly believe that he won't have one.

How much time do we have? Okay, I'll just do this one that I firmly believe in. After the break up he went back to Oxford, but still kept in contact with Matteo and occasionally talked to the whole Roller band. He of course was totally heartbroken but tried to pretend that he was fine and doing well, even to Matteo. He did this mostly in an attempt to convince himself that he was fine, when he wasn't. The Roller band bought it but Matteo never did. It took Matteo a month to crack Gastón and have him finally admit what big mistake he made

unpopular opinion

I don't know how unpopular this is, but people have disagreed with me before. Gastón should have never gone to Oxford. Basically, I do understand the view, that it was his dream and he should have not let his high-school relationship stop him. But I am also of the opinion of that if he had stayed, he would have not been unhappy. Like I have said many times: If he had been there for s3 and fighting the red sharks with his friends, best friend, and love of his life, we would definitely not be thinking: "I really wish I'd be alone at Oxford at this very moment". Gastón has never struck me as someone who mopes in the past or what-ifs. I also would have liked to see some more reasoning for why he wanted to go to Oxford so badly. It comes out of a bit of nowhere when it is supposed to be something he has thought about for a long time. The tidbit we get has all to do with Matteo, and Matteo does not end up going in the end. Also it sometimes to me seemed, because of the lack of explanation, that his situation was a little bit similar to Matteo. Basically that the Oxford was like a family expectation, but Gastón did not have anything concrete against it nor he was forced to go like Matteo. the word that it is his dream never comes out of his mouth.

warning: this post is LONG AF! next year i am so not gonna do this - will make a graphic or something instead - because i legit typed for hours. don’t feel obligated to read the whole thing - feel free to scroll down to the sections where you are mentioned. 

holy ravioli, i can’t believe legacy is turning one! the last year was chaotic for me real life wise and legacy provided a great place to escape and enjoy writing with my friends. i chatted with so many of you wonderful people and have no doubt i’ll be missing some on this list. if i happen to skip you by accident, just know i love you anyway.

both of my muses went through a lot. yonghwa i’ve had since the very beginning and his journey did turn out differently than i expected. i created him to be perfect on the outside, slowly rotting on the inside. he has a lot of insecurities that he refuse to acknowledge and a crippling greed for money...to the point i legit created a list of free stuff available at legacy and still track his earning. he ended up not deteriorating horribly as i expected due to having an overwhelmingly strong support system. dang it, y’all, i wanted to fuck up my character. 

as for daehyung, he’s proven to be the ticking time bomb comedic relief asshole that everyone can’t help but respect for not having his ass kicked out of the company already love - he’ll continue to be a pest and harass people that he find fancy in. career wise, i am surprised he is doing so well despite hating the world and most of the people in it. guess deep down inside he actually cares about acting and finds joy in it. one day, hopefully, he’ll be singing his own ost. 

i would like to thank our cute sara, who played yonghwa’s brother @lgcyoon​ and currently plays @lgcseojin and @lgchana​~ sara was one of the first people i plotted with at legacy and i really enjoyed the friendship between seojin & yonghwa. seojin was an adorable tsundere pupper and yonghwa is over-affectionate and secretly appreciated. they had their ups and downs and in season 2 of the future dreams, that really came out. i am glad they were able to work through their issues and i think that is why their friendship feels so believable to him. seojin also had a part in daehyung’s life...can we get that communal shower yet, buddy? yoon, though you are too busy to play him now, will always be yonghwa’s doting older brother. i don’t think i’ll put up that wanted connection again because yoon is so perfect and yonghwa already latched onto him with both legs and arms. 

second up, i gotta thank my girl gabby for always being there. @lgcparkdohyun and yonghwa’s brotherly bond is incredibly strong and in fact, one of my best plots to date. we’ve essentially plotted them out from diaper days and they are as close as two guys could be without screwing each other, really. we’ve also been here since the beginning together and high fives man, our boys technically both made it. 

@lgcxcharlie is yonghwa’s supportive girlfriend and she is so adorable. a much needed ray of light in his life. funny thing is that they met a long time ago, via bread. did charlie know that she’ll end up getting a boyfriend out of her kind bread donation? see, this is what happens when you feed a hungry cat - he’ll keep following you for more. now you are just going to have to keep him~

for my beloved rose who plays @lgcjude, @lgcjina and @lgcwon, i love youuu. with them on tour together and sharing a room, i hope jude is not annoyed yet by the fact yonghwa keeps on climbing into his bed. as for jina - hello, fellow season one winner, high fives. they might have to keep some distance due to opposite gender, but at least they’ll always have that respect for each other. now won, sorry, the devil is never letting you gooooooo. he’ll continue to harass you for years to come.

my al is the best person for cat gifs ever. every so often, i’d get a cute gif and feel my happiness grow. in fact, like we talked before, you send me so many cat pics that i believe you are a cat and will treat you like one. pet pet pet pet! @lgcinsoo​ and @lgcyue​ are both great babies, but you know i have bias towards our insoo. he is such a kind, loving puppy and both of my characters appreciate him. one more obviously than the other.

i still have so many boys i want to interact with for the project origin group but those i’ve already had a chance to thread with, i’ve all loved. our @lgcxpv​ is a wild child but so precious in yonghwa’s eyes. we’ll always have their shower scene to reflect back on. also, your precious max is one of dae’s only semi-acknowledged friends. our @lgcxhaneul​ is the sweet mandu that will keep on getting squished by his loving hyung. we love @lgcseul​ who deserves all the hugs and @lgcminjun​, who will definitely become one of yonghwa’s favorites. @lgcjiho​ & @lgcharu​ are both soft cute boys that i am still planning on hitting up more.

though we’ve only had one thread, i strangely really enjoyed the interaction between yonghwa and @lgceunho​. i feel like they still have more to explore and hopefully will find themselves together in a future event!

here, i just want to acknowledge some of the people that dropped but still had a huge impact on yonghwa’s life. i don’t know how many of y’all will remember them, but back in the day, yonghwa had a best friend called kiyoung and a crush on yujin. when those two dropped at the same time, oh, that was a huge blow. thank them both for being a part of his life. also, jane was a heavy loss for me because i adore her quirkiness. bobby come back, you can blame it all on me. 

lastly, i want to thank all of the mods for their hard working maintaining the rp! thanks so much, legacy wouldn’t be fun without you! 

for the head admins, i have a few extra blurbs because we’ve been together for a whole year. for our admin l, you’ve worked hard. it is not easy to run events and i feel like i’ve definitely pushed you with some difficult questions before. i am glad we are friends and get to chat often about random tidbits. i am also happy you are taking time for yourself and taking care of real life concerns. your wellness is always the priority! character wise, i have a feeling @lgcmiso​ and daehyung will actually get along well~

Pick a Pile: What the rest of October has in store for you

Okay, so I haven’t been active on here (mostly because of school and personal things) and I had wanted to do an October Pick a Pile but then...it was October and I was kind of like “Oh no! It’s too late!” But as I’m writing this, it’s the 10th of October and there’s still a few weeks left, so I felt that I should do one!

So, when I started this reading I was thinking “What could I do for the piles?” And guess what! I have a new obsession! The netflix show Julie and the Phantoms, which is about a girl who befriends a ghost band. SERIOUSLY A GHOST BAND! Sounds like they wrote this show for me... Anyway, she forms a band with them, and so the show is just all about her life now that she’s friends with some ghosts and is in a band with them. It’s also about the guys kind of navigating this new (after)life. So I thought I’d have you choose one of the ghosts for your piles! Also, it’s kind of SPOOOOOOKY! For Halloween, right? (lol these are like the friendliest ghosts you’ll ever find)

Okay so, 1: Luke, 2: Reggie and 3: Alex (Disclaimer: This is a general reading so it may not resonate with you. I suggest that if you feel like it doesn’t resonate, either pick another pile or find another reading. So, please keep this in mind.) Also, I’m looking into doing personal readings on here for people, so if you’re interested, DM me.

Pile 1: Luke

(sorry, my phone has been taking worse pics lately :/ ) Cards:  The Hermit, clarified by Justice reversed, 5 of cups clarified by 4 of swords reversed and empress reversed, 3 of swords clarified by 10 of cups, 6 of cups clarified by page of pentacles reversed Advice cards: Queen of Pentacles, 2 of cups Okay, so since this is for the rest of October, some of this could have already happened for you/you’re going through it. Or it’s something that could happen within the next few weeks, but I’m going to read it like it’s progressing right now.

I feel as though I should give a little about the character you chose, Luke. I don't know, maybe some of you chose him because you think Charlie Gillespie, the guy who plays him, is really adorable (the most adorable Virgo I've ever seen tbh, currently kind of in love with him really). Luke is the guitarist/lead singer of the original band in show, Sunset Curve. He becomes kind of the co-singer in Julie and the Phantoms. While Luke has a huge heart and cares immensely about those he loves, he also has kind of this thing where he wants the attention on him. It's more along the lines of something I don't think he can help. Like, he can be ass, but he's also a caring ass. Throughout the whole show he says that it's about the music, not the money. So while he probably would love to be famous, he's more about the music. He literally lives (an ironic statement given the plot of the show) for music and to be able to play it after his death seems to be all he wants. When he meets Julie, he sees a way to still play his music. He seems to be able to express himself best through his music. So, through this I'm going to assume that you are also someone who loves your people fiercely. I think you also are someone who connects through music. Maybe you feel best when listening to it, or possibly you are able to express yourself through it. Maybe you write your own lyrics  (or poetry) or compose your own music. So, then we get into the cards. You have the hermit as your first card. It's so funny this one came out because it's the card for Virgos, and as I pointed out the guy that plays Luke is a virgo, and though Luke seems to exude more of a fiery personality than an earthy one, I think Charlie's sun sign is still visible. At least to me. I mean, I guessed it correctly which I don't know. Kind of weird to me! So, that leads me to say that even though I don't have many earthy cards here, I still am getting those earthy vibes. Maybe it's more that you're feeling really grounded right now or maybe you are focused on your career more-so currently. I mean, bottom deck energy was 9 of Pentacles, so it's like this overall feeling that you either have your shit in order or you're striving to get there. And I see that in the Hermit card. There's a man in the forefront holding a lantern, looking for something. In this deck, the Haunted House Tarot, this guy is called the groundskeeper. He's the one that cares for the garden, which fitting since the hermit is the card for Virgos. I mean, an earth sign. In the background, the girl who is seen throughout the whole deck is peering around a tree at him. I kind of see this as two things for multiple people. The first is that this is you’re kind of taking stock of what's going on at the moment in your life. You're looking around at it all, seeing what you have and what you can do with what you have and I definitely see 5 of cups kind of backing that up, but instead of you seeing all of it, I think you're focusing on what you're lacking. A song called Anywhere You Looked by Au Revoir Simone came on, so, I definitely see this! The hermit was clarified by Justice reversed and so I think this is you kind of feeling like maybe you lack something and that it's seeming to taking precedence over what there is. Like, this lack seems like an injustice to you. In this 5 of cups, there's 5 wine glasses, all of them more than half empty and I think that's kind of interesting. I mean clearly someone drank the wine...but then stopped and got a new cup? And each time? So, like, is this you looking at what there is for you to work with, utilizing it but then putting it down despite you being able to use it more? Maybe it's you starting things and none of it feels right, so you start other things and it happens again, which leads to a frustration. To clarify 5 of cups, both the Empress reversed and 4 of Swords reversed fell out. I think maybe this empress being in the reversed position is kind of representing this frustration, but instead of it being on the lack of resources or not even the lack, but just resources in general, its going back to you. Like, you're upset with yourself. I know in this deck, her having her hand on her stomach is supposed to represent her being pregnant, and I mean, if we go with that, it being reversed its like that fertility wasn't there to nurture this new life? If that makes sense, but I'm thinking of this as something tangible (not that a baby isn't tangible lol but I mean a project or a job or something). But I also see this clutching of the stomach as pain. Like, maybe you're just feeling so frustrated you're stressed to the point of exhaustion. The 4 of swords reversed...Well. Right now I'm reading this as you needing to take a step back and rest but you refuse to. Like, maybe you're restless, and maybe that's why you're the hermit, looking around at what there is. Like this idea that even though you keep restarting, you're not giving up? And, because you chose Luke, I'm assuming this is you. Like this won't stop/can't stop mentality? I mean, dude literally dies but still tries to be in a band so! Skies the fucking limit! And you know that. You're just having trouble getting to a place that you're happy with. The next card was 3 of Swords. This insinuates that something was really painful. Like, heartbreak painful. I don't really think this is all that external though. I'm reading it as again, you're working on something and its just not going the way you want. It's not...Perfect. God. You know this really does give me Virgo vibes because from what I understand about virgos is that they really are kind of all or nothing. Like they want perfection or nothing. I'm not saying all virgos are like this but this is kind of how I’ve seen them with their own work. And, even Luke is kind of like this in the show. He definitely is really focused on the band. He's almost never not working or thinking about the band. So, like with this 3 of swords being a swords card, I see it as mentally. Mentally something hurts you, but it's more of something you're working on. Like, you just can't seem to get it right. 10 of cups definitely backs that up for me. This happy emotionally fulfilling end, but like you can't seem to get there with whatever it is you're working on, so you're just really upset. It feels like this weird-ass cycle you're stuck in, like this never-ending disappointment. Maybe one day you're like "Oh! If I try this it will work out!" but you try it and you end up scrapping it and trying again. And, honestly, even though I feel that for most of you this is a project of some sorts, I think for some it could be a relationship, like romantic or even a family member. With 6 of cups, I didn't really want to say it was someone from your past, but the song Visitor by Of Monsters and Men came on, and honestly for some it probably is someone from your past. For others, maybe just a solution you tried in the past will circle back around in your head and you'll retry it. The thing though, is that it's clarified by the Page of Pentacles reversed and for some it could mean that this solution will once again bring nothing forth. For others, it could be that you're in this position where you want to get further then where you're at (the song says, "I want to do better this time"), but...Maybe you're not putting in that effort you need to be putting in. Or, perhaps the way you're going about this is not beneficial to you.  Maybe you're just overworking yourself, and this is just the cards telling you to pause and think back. The solution is in the past. The past is just haunting me with this card. I don't always like to be like "oh it's this cliche meaning" but, this really feels like the past. In it there's a little girl reaching up at the flower in the cup that the woman is holding, but I kind of wonder if this is supposed to be Younger You, offering Older You this idea or advice. Something in your past is relevant. Maybe it is another person, but it's definitely something from your past. For your advice I pulled Queen of Pentacles. Usually, I'd say that you need to focus on you and your finances at this point, but in this deck's version, she's holding the pentacle but looking away from it. I almost wonder if whatever this is, be it project or relationship, you need to just take a break for a hot minute. I think you'll know how long of a break it needs to be, but I think once you do you'll be able to come back with a fresh mind and you'll be able to tackle it in a more efficient way. I also pulled two of cups and so maybe you need to stop what you're doing and water something else, like another relationship for a bit (i.e. if this is a romantic partner, maybe go hang out with friends, or vice versa). But I also get that for some of you, if this is a project you might need to ask someone else for their opinion or help. Maybe for some this is relinquishing this problem to someone else for the time being. Either way, two of cups is abut duality. There is something about this situation that requires a duality. It could be as simple as you being able to find a balance between working on whatever this is and everything else in your life, I mean, going back to the Queen of Pentacles, she's this lady who has her shit together while also being able to be there for others and in a compassionate way. So, maybe this is a reminder that you don't need to do everything on your own and that you won't be able to find a peace of mind until you're able to relinquish this or at least allow someone to help you. This also reminds me of Luke again because his band can't play music unless they're preforming with Julie since no one can see them until they're playing with her. He had to relinquish this role of being the only lead singer. Gosh, wouldn't that be funny if your were a ghost guitar player reading this? Lmao!  Overall, I get such a workaholic vibe from this pile. Guys just take a breather, seriously.

Pile 2: Reggie

First, I said this with the last pile. These are things that either might have already started to happen, or may happen. I’m just going to read it like it’s progressing already. Reggie is the sweetest character in this show. Like, for the most part they're all really sweet, but he's that one that is basically equivalent to that puppy who just likes everyone. He's also the bassist in the band and I find that bassists are the most overlooked, so I think that can ring true about Reggie too. We know some things about him and his past but it's the least. Which is interesting because this pile also seemed kind of vague to me too.  With 3 of pentacles being reversed I always want to read it as someone wanting to do something on their own. Like, doing something independently. The ace of swords clarifying this is screaming, like literally I just keep hearing this in my head, you cut something or someone off. Or maybe you're trying to get through something without feeling something so you're cutting the feeling off before it starts. Somethings being cut out, for sure. I’m also imagining someone cutting some paper with scissors, so maybe you’re editing your life or something by cutting situations/people/things/feelings out. The ace of swords feels violent actually. Something about this ace of swords is so visceral, and that makes me think that this intention/idea was really sudden. Almost like you woke up one day and you were like "Nope. Doing this on my own."  or "Nope. Not feeling that today. Cutting it out.” But, I don't really think you're someone like that. Like, I see that you could be someone who enjoys their alone time  but that for the most part maybe you enjoy others company. And, like Reggie is like that too. In fact, I think he's the only character we don't see alone ever! Like, we know the least about him too, so it's like, maybe you enjoy being around people but you also hold yourself at a distance. You may share things about yourself but maybe one of those people who is very selective about what and with who you share with. Like, maybe you make it seem like you’re sharing deep things, but...They’re not. They’re surface level, but you’re able to present them in a way that isn’t like that’s what it is. And maybe this 3 of pentacles being reversed is you thinking "Hmm. They know too much." but I feel like that’s for some of you (I think some of you are scorpios and it's more than just the death card. I just get that ~vibe~). An interesting thing about this 3 of pentacles is that she's in the ruins of a building. She looks hurt, and the other two look as though they're trying to help her. So maybe if this about someone, this cutting someone off is you cutting off help someone has offered you. Like, maybe someone has offered to help you cover something financially? But there's this feeling that you're thinking this is something you have to go at alone. I also could just see this as someone denying themselves something. Like, I think there's a small group repressing something like an emotion. Like a small group of you. Yeah, definitely for some you're aware that there is an emotion that you're supposed to be feeling but I think you're just telling yourself to detach from it. But I think this is just causing you more stress, so I think you really need to let yourself feel it in order to move on. Vlad the Impaler by Kasabian was on and there's a line where they say "Get loose get loose". So. Um. I think for those of you repressing something, I think that's for you. So, instead of denying yourself that, I think you need to stop and tell yourself it's okay to feel it. Like, maybe you're thinking your emotions aren't justifiable but that's not true because you can't really tell your body not to feel something, right? 9 of Swords shows me that you are stressed right now. I think you're freaking out over how this could play out on your own but you seem to be determined to do it on your own. The hierophant kind of says that for me. Like, he's all about conventional things, and maybe you feel that there's a right way to go about this, and that right way is to do it alone. Although, its funny because in this card it's a priest exorcising someone, so this isn't really someone going at it alone. Also, again, giving me this feeling like exorcising demons, so like, repressing/deflecting emotions. Maybe this 9 of swords is you worried that you won't be able to do this alone? The thing though, is that I see such extreme distress with 9 of swords. She's in bed crying and there's so many swords next to her. It feels crowded, but I think that's your head. I think you have too many thoughts about this and how you want to do this alone. But then we have 7 of wands reversed and it's literally just this ball of fire since the wands are torches in this deck. I think this is how you're seeing this situation. Like, a huge ball of fire just waiting to turn into something worse. 7 of wands being reserved can mean surrendering, but I don't necessarily see that. I see this overwhelming sense of stress and worry with it, and this overwhelming sense has you back in that bed with the swords looming over you. And death reversed suggests that too because its something you can't let go of. But, I think death is telling you that it's time to let it go, whatever this is. Like this worrying isn't helping (which, ha, I know that saying that really doesn't stop it). There's also this sense of compromise with this pile. It's weird because I don't really get a sense about what this is. Like, I think for some it's definitely financial, but I don't know about the others. Whatever it is, I think you're aware that you need to let it go, but its not...Going. With 4 of swords in reverse, I do see you letting it go, though, same with page of cups. She's sitting there just letting these butterflies out. So with that, I see this transformation. Right? So I think once you're able to start to heal/let this go, you go thorough this transformation. It could be a little one but it can also be something big and noticeable. I really feel like a lot of people are choosing this pile because it seems really vague. The last pile seemed vague too, but it wasn't like this one. This one just seems so much broader. I'm not sure if this is something you have to do with yourself or someone else, but the bottom deck energy was 5 of swords reversed and I am reading that as compromise. So, either you need to compromise with yourself, or there is someone you need to compromise with. For advice, I pulled page of swords. I think this is telling you to be looking at every angle of this. I'm sure you've done a lot of overthinking with this, but I think it's more like a broken record. Like, you're focusing on the same thoughts when there's another perspective you're missing. The other card was the devil and that's for everyone, but especially those who are repressing something. So, if you are repressing something, you need to stop that and let yourself feel it. The only way out of this is through it. It's interesting because on this devil card there's two people chained up and I honestly think they could easily slip their heads through those chains? So, I think there is a way through this and I think you know but I think maybe there's an element of fear. But, going back to that Ace of Swords, I think you're stronger than you give yourself credit for. The ace of swords and the 7 of wands are standing out so much to me. The sword and the fire, and those are strong things, so I think you're strong enough to get through this. You know this, but I think you've convinced yourself otherwise. You know what’s so funny about this devil card, too? It's the same people from the 3 of pentacles. So it's like, for those of you repressing something, it's like you're holding it hostage by refusing to acknowledge it, so I guess just kind of think about that. (But don't over think it). The woman who has the horns on the devil card is the same woman who had fallen in the 3 of pentacles, so I definitely am seeing this as the cards saying you’re kind of in your own way. Even adding onto that, the girl in the page of swords card is overlooking a dollhouse, so maybe you're just trying to control this and it's not working, it's more to your detriment. I just really think you need to sit with your emotions, all of you. Like, journaling is a really good way to get them out. Maybe you like writing lyrics or poetry or anything? I just think you need to spend some time alone doing something constructive so that you can get these emotions out in a healthy way, because I think if you don't they're going to explode. Like, at first I thought maybe it was some of you, but I definitely think all of you who chose this pile are avoiding some hard emotions, or at least not letting yourself feel them. And that’s not healthy my friends! Pile 3: Alex

Cards:  3 of swords reversed clarified by 9 of wands, the world clarified by 8 of wands and 9 of cups, judgement reversed clarified temperance reversed, ace of cups clarified by 8 of pentacles reversed Advice cards: 8 of pentacles reversed, knight of wands reversed Okay, so another disclaimer that I’ve said for the other piles. Since this is for the rest of October, I’m reading it like it’s currently progressing. That being said, it could have already progressed, or will progress this way. Again, take what resonates. Alex is such a great character! I honestly think he's my favorite. He's considered the "emotional one" of the band, but is also the most sarcastic out of all of them. He doesn’t miss a beat, which is funny since he’s the drummer. So, maybe rhythm is important to you? He's also kind of the Dad-Friend and is quick to scold Reggie and Luke when they do something mean to someone else. Alex also is the one that goes out and befriends another ghost and he finds out some interesting things about being a ghost, so I would say while the others are curious, he goes out and looks for answers. This makes me feel like you're a doer rather than someone who just watches stuff unfold.  First off, I want to say that the bottom of the deck energy was 8 of pentacles reversed, which makes me feel like maybe you feel neglected in someway. This is kind of weird because it also kind of goes with Alex. I don't really want to go into it because it could be a spoiler for anyone who hasn't watched it, but there's a point where he feels like someone is avoiding him and I get that sense with you guys. I think this is what might lead to the first card I got, 3 of swords reversed. The first card was 3 of swords reversed, so I get the sense that you are or will be healing from something that really hurt you. With 9 of wands clarifying it, I think maybe this made you get really defensive of your heart, but maybe you're feeling really tired and you're feeling like it would be a bad idea to let your guard down, especially because maybe you know you're healing. Like, I think maybe you don't like...actively think "I'm healing right now," But somewhere in your head you have a knowing. That 9 of wands has really tall wands. And she's coming out of a maze too, so maybe whatever it was that led you to this state of healing was confusing for you. Like, you felt like you were going through a maze of emotions, but you made it out and you're not going back there at any cost. Next we have the world and to me that means a cycle is ending and that this healing is coming with this end. She's holding a key, and in this deck it means that she's like now the owner of the haunted house that this deck is about, but like I see this as you holding this key. Maybe it's specifically to your heart or something like that. Or, it's just this key because you found answers to this maze you just went through. Like, you were confused and now you're not, or at least clarity is finding it’s way to you. And, it's clarified by both the 8 of wands and 9 of cups, so like this ending is going to bring something in really quickly and it's going to be something you've been wanting. Maybe before this you had no idea what you wanted, so back to that key, it's like you figuring that out. I think judgement being reversed says that you were taken off of some path because it wasn't really aligning with you, which temperance clarifying it tells me this. Like, you were in need of more balance but this path wasn't bringing this. Perhaps it was this path that led to those 3 swords in the first place, but either way, I think it's closing out and you're going in a new direction. Also, on the judgement card, it's the lady who'd been holding the key and coming out of the maze, but on judgement she's holding this little kid. Granted, this kid doesn't look like her, but she's really white like she has white clothes, white hair, she looks like she could even be a bit translucent. So maybe this is you nurturing that hurt side of yourself, like picking yourself up and realigning yourself. The ghost of your past self? Like, I do see that the universe has helped you but really you deserve this credit because I think you're the one doing most of the work. The universe is just kind of nudging you gently every so often. You also got ace of cups and it was clarified by ace of swords, so this is going to be really emotionally fulfilling but also you're going to be full of ideas. Like, I just get this huge excited feeling from this pile, so I really think the rest of October is going to be really great for you guys! Ahh! I'm so happy that this pile was this way because as I said earlier, I love Alex, so it's so nice to see that you guys are going to do great! (after this period of healing of course). For advice, I pulled 8 of pentacles reversed, so it definitely wanted to come out. Before I was saying that it being on the bottom of the deck made me feel like you felt neglected, and I still think that's true but I also think that with it showing up in the advice section, I think it could also be telling you that even if something seems boring or tedious you need to keep at it despite this. So, while you're closing out a cycle, there's still some work to put in. And maybe this could be referring to that ace of cups/ace of swords, like those new beginnings coming. Whatever they are, there's going to be work you need to put in and I think it's just warning that you need to be continuous with the work. Not to get lazy or half-ass it. This could also just be, continuous healing. Like, allow this to unfold. Allow yourself to continue to heal. But, for others, I think this also maybe telling you that you may need to take a break and not overwork yourself. I think you'll know which one is for you, because if you have a a tendency to be a workaholic, than you'll know and if you're someone who can be lazy, you'll know. The other card was knight of wands reversed. This, I think, goes with those who may have a tendency to get lazy or even bored. Finish what you start. And, this could apply to all of you, but I see that mostly for that group. For the other, I think maybe it's kind of a be patient. Don't go at it and do it all in one go, or something like that. I think you need to take your time with whatever this new beginning is as well as your healing from the beginning. But, overall, I think these cards are just kind of warnings, so I think things should be okay overall.

Graduation

Flotsam would put the most of it together. He wanted them to have the full experience even though he never did it. It seemed important to people like Summer and River had a little bit of that in him considering he was his mother’s son too. Outsider style events were in his head too. So, he’d get it set up in NOLA Park near the little bridge he liked so much. He wanted it as authentic as possible so he decided not to do it on their land. 

Plus, he wanted them to have the full experience if they were really doing this. He not only got them caps and gowns, but got lots of other kids to do it too. Graduation really couldn’t be graduation if you didn’t have to sit through a really boring procession of meaningless speeches and long list of names waiting for that 15 seconds of glory where you get to walk up after hearing your name called and most likely mispronounced. The other kids didn’t care. They were getting paid to do it and if they misbehaved who cares? There’s always an asshat in the crowd. Most likely that would be Dale though. 

He’d have folding chairs set up for family got a bunch of band geeks to play off to the side. He would have asked Kuzco for the music, but the point wasn’t to actually be cool. It was to give them what they were missing out in all it’s lame, but thrilling milestone ways. He’d even create pamphlets that dared tell people not to cheer for the graduates so the noise doesn’t over take the next name called which no one ever actually adheres to, but mostly just gets parents and family aggravated with being there before it even begins. It’s always the final annoyance of having school age kids and you break the rules because fuck that. They did it. Welcome to adulthood where all the school rules you were ever taught never taught you anything about the real world. So, this would give him, Thomas, and Elsa the real experience too. He would however hand off the mic to Kuzco and Clopin as ex Magisterium staff to say whatever needed to be said up there at the waterfront podium. 

Some unknown kid they didn’t know or care about would start it all off with National Anthem in a halfway decent voice but don’t try out for American Idol less be destroyed by Simon type voice, but would walk off all too proud of themselves. Kuzco and Clopin could drone on and on so they were perfect in being at the mic and giving the audience the ‘oh my fucking god are they done yet’ feeling ‘like just get to the point and call my kid’s name already because these seats are uncomfortable’ feeling. Flotsam managed to get it all with a little help from his peeps. Great pics though in the park to make it look like it was more exciting than it actually was. That was a good old fashion American graduation. 

As Flotsam stated he would have Kuzco and Clopin give them their real diplomas from the Magisterium as signed by Merlin himself under the agreement none of his family ever step foot on grounds again. But, reality check. They got what they wanted. If they ever needed to, they would. But, no one wanted to. So, he got what he went for. That’s all that counted. He would also have Summer announced as valedictorian since she was there the longest. She stuck it out between the two of them. She might as well get some extra kudos for that. They’d have the tassel turn and throwing of caps at the end too. 

They would then convene to an Apple Bees and take the place over for a celebration dinner before the kids were allowed take off and do what they wanted to party up with their friends or whatever their plans were. Family dining out after in an over crowded place with half way decent food that gets everyone’s orders wrong because they’re understaffed for such a large crowd is also tradition. So, Flotsam didn’t leave anything out including over tipping because he’s just a happy parent in a good mood on a celebration day and the poor staff there never saw them coming. 

Sugar Coated Pain [Boxer!Calum AU]—What Happens After Head Canons

A/N: Hey y’all! So if you’ve read my boxer!Calum fic, Sugar Coated Pain, this is a little something extra. Just some head canons for what happens after the story ends! I missed Noelle & Calum a lot, so I figured I’d write some stuff up for them & their family.

Calum proposed to Noelle when baby Dahlia was a little over a month old. Even though Noelle knew it was coming, she still cried when she entered Simon’s Stories to open up for the day, still on maternity leave yet offering to open because Beverly had been sick and there had been no other option, only to see the words “Will you marry me?” written on the chalkboard wall with Calum down on one knee in front of it, his grandmother’s gorgeous ring held out in a box ready for Noelle to wear. 

Turns out Beverly hadn’t actually been sick. 

The store opened a bit late that day. Calum and Noelle were too lost in consummating their engagement right then and there before heading home when Beverly actually showed up to work. 

But they didn’t get married until a year after that. 

They took their engagement photos in Dumbo, right in front of the Brooklyn Bridge

Unlike Beverly and Ashton’s wedding, Noelle and Calum’s was kept small by both of their requests. Only friends and family were invited, just a little over fifty guests. 

They had a rooftop wedding in New York, complete with a gorgeous view and flowers and drinks and a good time.

When Calum saw Noelle walking down the aisle with her mother at her side, he didn’t bother holding back the tears. He’s only ever cried publicly twice so far: when he first met Dahlia, and when the love of his life walked towards him with the full intention of becoming his wife. 

We can’t forget Beverly walking down the aisle holding Dahlia as well. 

There wasn’t a single dry eye when they both spoke their vows. If there was any doubt that the two of them were in love, it disappeared as Calum and Noelle shamelessly and genuinely talked about how much they loved each other.

Their first dance song was Dancing In The Dark—AKA the song that was playing through the store when they first kissed. 

Their honeymoon was in Florence, Italy. They didn’t leave the bed for the first two days. 

When at the gym, Calum sometimes found himself going a couple of rounds with a punching bag. Every time Noelle saw him, it excited her just like it did the first time. 

But with his family, going back into the ring was never something Calum ever thought about. 

Calum’s phone was filled with pictures and videos of Dahlia. 

Noelle’s favorite videos to watch are of Dahlia during tummy time when she was younger, Calum filming and constantly encouraging their daughter to lift her head, roll over, etc. 

He got a tattoo of a dahlia flower on his right upper arm. 

Dahlia tends to wake up early, so Calum gets her dressed and brings her along when he takes Duke out on a walk. 

Duke and Dahlia are best friends. He’ll always choose to cuddle with her over Calum and Noelle. 

Calum and Noelle also have a designated date night during the week. Dahlia stays with either her grandmother or Aunt Beverly and Uncle Ashton so Calum and Noelle can go out and run around like a bunch of kids in love like they used to. 

Except that love was always there, but with a baby they never got too much alone time. 

Calum loves seeing his wedding band on his finger, and the sight of Noelle wearing both her rings fills him with a rush of love.

By the time Dahlia was a year and a half, Beverly and Ashton were expecting their first child. 

Dahlia’s first words were “dada”. 

Calum cried. 

Dahlia loves her cousin.

Bev and Ash’s kid, Harvey, is her best friend. 

When Dahlia was 3, going on 4, Calum and Noelle started discussing about having another kid. 

They were watching her play in the living room with Duke, her toys surrounding her, as they stood on the kitchen. 

They still were in awe that they had a child. 

“Can you believe we made that? An actual person.”

“A really cute person.”

“What do you expect? She’s my kid.”

That earned Calum a smack, which he only returned with a laugh before wrapping his arms around his wife. 

He’d pull a pouty Noelle towards him before saying, “We should make more.”

Of course Noelle was quick to agree. 

Any excuse to have sex with her husband, right?

They’d start off in the bedroom, but eventually Calum starts showing up to the book store to drag Noelle into a back room during her break. She doesn’t complain. 

She’ll show up to the gym where Calum can take her any way he likes in the privacy of his office. 

She’s pregnant before the end of the month. 

Finding out was different the second time around. The two of them sat on the bathroom floor as they waited for the tests, holding hands as they had a whispered conversation about the idea of a new baby. 

It was something they discussed often since deciding they wanted more kids, but now it was seeming more real. 

And when the pregnancy test had the two lines for a positive result, it was a happy day in the Hood household. 

After their first doctor’s appointment where they got the sonogram, they told their families and the boys.

They told Dahlia she was going to be a big sister as she ate a McDonalds Happy Meal. They aren’t quite sure if she was excited about a sibling or her chicken nuggets.

But then they got home and went into Dahlia’s room because she’d been a bit too quiet for a while, they were confused to see her pulling some toys out of her toy chest and placing them to the side.

“What’re you doin’, bug?”

“These are gifts for the baby!”

Noelle blamed the hormones for bursting into tears.

Calum was more prepared during the second pregnancy.

He brought all of the things Noelle had craved during the first time, and even though sometimes she wanted something new, he had no problem venturing to a 24 hour mart at 3am to get what she wanted.

Whenever he came home and saw Noelle asleep on their bed with her bump becoming visible, Duke on one side and Dahlia on the other, the love that shocked through his body was overwhelming.

He talked to the baby all the time, just like he did when Noelle was pregnant with Dahlia, only this time his first born joined in.

Calum and Noelle made a bet on the gender of their new baby.

He said it’d be another girl, Noelle thought it’d be a boy.

If Noelle won, Calum would have to eat one of her weird cravings.

If Calum won, he’d get to pick Noelle’s halloween costume.

Noelle won. It would be a boy.

Calum had to eat hot Cheetos dipped in yogurt.

“What the fuck does pregnancy make you eat? How is your stomach not fucked up?”

“You’ve got no one to blame but yourself. You did this to me.”

Noelle’s mom always came by to drop off some food; Calum loved her enchiladas. 

Just like the first time around, everyone was in the waiting room when it was time for Noelle to go into labor.

His parents and sister flew in as well.

Noelle had Calum and her mom in the delivery room.

He’s felt lots of punches and kicks, but the grip Noelle had on his hand as she pushed was the deadliest.

Calum knew they were about to meet their son, but he absolutely hated the look of pain on Noelle’s face and the sounds of her screams.

He thought she looked beautiful anyway.

But he knew if he told her, she’d pause the labor just to punch him.

The sound of their baby crying silenced Noelle’s screams.

Henry Thomas Hood, named after Noelle’s late father, was as perfect of an addition to their family as Dahlia had been.

Dahlia instantly fell in love with her baby brother.

Beverly took a picture of Calum sitting up in Noelle’s bed with her; Henry in her arms as she leaned into Calum’s embrace, Dahlia grinning on his lap.

He carried that pic in his wallet.

And every time he looked at it, he thanked every single star for the day Noelle walked into Astros to watch that first fight.

MCU Defenders Update

In a perfect world we would be getting Luke Cage Season 3 where he and Jess are expecting beautiful little baby Danielle Cage. In an even more perfect world Loki didn’t die in Infinity War AND all our Marvel Television heroes were given portals to join the final fight against Thanos in Endgame. But this is not the case and while I can headcanon that Misty Knight became a judge and Benjamin Poindexter with some memory issues was placed under her watch and is working as her DA (in the CBS show All Rise) the hope of the Marvel Netflix casts returning in whole is highly unlikely. And yet there is some news...

Daredevil: If you haven’t seen that brilliant pic of Charlie and Tom swapping super suits on Halloween then now behold! The two great friends are currently in a Broadway production called Betrayal but their offstage friendship can be compared to reports on Marvel Studios’s thoughts on Charlie’s future as Matt Murdock. As it’s been over a year since the Man Without Fear’s final season there’s still a while of a cooling off period until these characters could be used in the MCU. But many sources seem to confirm that they want Charlie to return as DD in some shape or form. As the flagship show on Netflix it garnered much favoritism among fans and news like this comes as no surprise. Season 3 ended with a cliffhanger setting up for a rematch with a full on comic book Bullseye but it’s all just for wait and see at this time.

Jessica Jones: Krysten is not enjoying much work since the farewell JJ season earlier this year. Instead she is enjoying her best life as mom to her son with the incredible name of Bruce Julian Knight Granofsky. But with such availability it seems that Marvel Studios wants to put her back to work at Alias Investigations once the cooling off period is through as well. It is interesting considering that this Defenders roster was an uncanonical Marvel Tv conception. In the comics Jess is not a major player so by carrying over both she and Daredevil makes it seem like Marvel Studios would like to reserve their continuity in the MCU.

Luke Cage: An iconic figure both in the era he debuted in the comics as well as in the time his series aired. His character is important yet like Jess even he is not as major a player in the comics as DD. But his show really picked up in the final season ending on a very interesting note with Luke as the King of Harlem’s Paradise. However unlike the former it seems that while the MCU might have plans for the character they do not plan to bring back Mike and would in fact reboot the series entirely. For me I love Mike and his portrayal of Luke and the series as a whole however I do feel that his fight choreography never lived up to his comic book capacity. Mike is doing well though appearing in the new movie Black & Blue while also starring in the new CBS horror show Evil. If these rumors are true Luke won’t be the same without him though. By extension as joked about before Simone has moved on as well and is starring in the new CBS show All Rise (it’s evident that CBS has big LC fans) alongside Dex himself Wilson Bethel. Happy for them but of course this supports the idea of the reboot.

Iron Fist: I know it looks bad that I don’t have any pics of the cast and how many people strongly disliked the series but it’s primarily because I just couldn’t find any pics of them in their upcoming works. The hard criticism of IF followed Finn for a while but faith the Games of Thrones alum is hopefully to be renewed as he’s been cast to the Apple TV+ series Dickinson. However the future of this series beyond a second season seems hard if star Hailee Steinfeld is to do the Disney+ Hawkeye series and continue on as Kate Bishop. Jessica is also having no trouble finding work as she is set to appear in next year’s film Monster Problems as well as being in talks to star in The Matrix 4. Now there are rumors that the the Living Weapon might make a rebooted return in the upcoming Shang Chi film but this just seems more like a suggestion for the kung fu film to include more kung fu heroes and as such should not be taken seriously.

Punisher: Of the Defenders (if you considered Punisher as one) Jon just might be the busiest and biggest name of them all. While he’s not exactly a Hollywood headliner Hollywood sure does love him. From his big break in The Walking Dead Jonny Bernthal has worked alongside heavy hitters from Leo DiCaprio in Wolf on Wallstreet to Brad Pitt in Fury and now Matt Damon and Christian Bale in Ford v Ferrari. But him as Frank Castle was some real hardcore headlining to me on par with the likes of RDJ as Iron Man or Heath Ledger (RIP) as the Joker. He pulled all the great comic book parts of the character off the page and in adding his own spirit into Frank made him feel real. I feel like he really found the role he was born to play and hopefully Kevin Feige feels the same. While on press tour for FvF in an interview Jon was asked on the matter in which case he replied that Frank is “in his bones” but he feels the Punisher needs to have a presence in today’s media even if not portrayed by him. Ironically Punisher is one of Feige’s favorite characters and he even helped produce the film Punisher: Warzone in which case he handpicked Volstagg himself Ray Stevenson as his ideal Frank Castle. But hopefully Jon’s natural, gritty, and hearty performance spoke for itself as reports say its no surprise that Marvel Studios has plans for Jon and this fan favorite to return to the big screen.
