can u help me? i made a post about how i was unconsciously faking osdd and a lot of people said that i was not and what i was experiencing was actual symptoms. for comtext i have found posts i have no memory of making, drawings that i DO remember making, but i feel like *i* wasnt fully conscious when i made them? kind of like when youre half awake even though i didnt feel that way at the time if that makes sense. i do hear other voices and can have conversations with them. i mentioned that i went on r/systemscringe and it snapped me out of my delusion. and they all said that its a horrible source to go on there and no wonder i felt that way. anyways someone told me to ask an unbiased person for help and this seems like a pretty good place to just ask. what do i do??
im not telling anyone irl. out of the question. i live in a place where specialists are practically nonexistent. what im asking is what do i do with.. myself? if there are people in my head i dont want to deny them any more.
and, if youre wondering, yes, i did experience physical, mental, and emotional trauma between the ages of 5-9.

You do not remember some of the posts that you've made
You do remember drawings that you've made, however you don't feel as though you were fully there when you made them
You hear voices and you are able to have conversations with them
You have experienced trauma at a young age
What you've written describes dissociation, amnesia, potential alters, and childhood trauma. This can fit OSDD.
But I agree, it's no wonder that you "snapped out of it" on r/systemscringe. We have personally experienced similar things when we used to go on r/fakedisordercringe. Your brain will try to convince itself that you are not really disabled because you don't want to be looked down upon.
I suggest researching OSDD. If I had to be specific, research these things first
Dissociation (try to figure out if you dissociate and how often.)
Alters (try to figure out if the voices in your head are alters or not. We have a buddy who isn't a system but he still experiences voices just not alters.)
Dissociative amnesia (what you said about not remembering posts you've made seems like dissociative amnesia.)
Types of OSDD (it may help to know which type you could be!)
My friend once told me, "you understand yourself the best when you call yourself a system. So be one, even if you're wrong in the end."
If identifying as a system/self diagnosing is helpful to you, feel free to go with it. You could still find OSDDID tips helpful no matter what you have.
And don't worry about unconsciously faking. I don't believe I've ever seen a person unconsciously fake OSDD in all my years. Every system I've met worries about the same thing.

- She constantly abuses her son, forces him into humiliating performances as a child because that’s the only value she sees in him (as she openly tells him), neglects any emotional needs he has even when he’s begging for support, insults and berates him non-stop, and blames him for her own unhappiness openly. She calls him at one point and tells him that he’ll never be happy and that he’s incapable of it. Then later, with her alleged Granddaugher, she sneaks her an addictive weight-loss powder into her coffee, literally causing her to have an overdose, all because she’s slightly chubby, and thereby causing her serious trauma as well.

January 23 - 2024 Tuesday

Gonna try to make this quick since it's so late. This morning I cleaned outside my door a bit so it looks nice. For breakfast I made some rice and beefaroni in the microwave separately and I put some chicken stock in the rice which made me realize I can probably figure out how to make my own version of chicken rice a roni. I watched a bojack and an Outdoor Boys video while eating.
On stream I warmed up with some Ezlo sketches from the Minish Cap. Daisy tuned it for a bit while at the courthouse. I also worked more on that comic commission and opened up about how I feel about my art style towards the end. Also my internet was acting up so we couldn't watch Ed.
After stream I decided to play Infraspace for an hour as my focus exercise. In the future I'll try to find things that aren't just games but it was an okay start. I made soup for lunch with cumin so it was nice and spicy. During lunch I watched more Outdoor Boys.
During my afternoon work I hung out in David's server. I wanted to hang out in Trevor's but our schedules really do not line up at all so I might have to abandon that idea. That might be more of a weekend thing. I did today's request and finished Ena's concept art which turned out good. After that I did my yoga which made me angry since I couldn't balance and I almost quit halfway through. After yoga I worked on my project for a little bit and made some tea to calm down with but I got so focused that I didn't drink any. Progress was decent today, no matter what I have to stick with what I got and make it work at this point.
When work was done I was trying to play KSP but I have a lot of mod issues which might have left me with another bricked save file. Daisy was free while I tried to fix it. Eventually I gave up and watched her play Minish Cap for awhile. In bed I played more Kingdom Hearts. After she fell asleep I got caught up trying to fix Kerbal and looking at some other things so thats why Im up late.
Today was fine. Another very productive day that didn't totally drain me. It bums me out that Daisy is sick and I wish I could do something to help her.

Yeah, I think that’s exactly what went on. Same shit with the Oscars once every other year (and sometimes even ‘every year’): ‘Oh, I didn’t watch ALL the movies that were nominated for ‘Best Animated Feature’, but I saw the new Pixar/Disney one and I liked it, so I voted for that’.
They should really put a rule for Emmys, Golden Globes, Oscars, whatever, that states:
‘Have you actually watched all the movies/series that are nominated for this category? No? THEN GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE JURY!’
I understand with TV series it may be harder, since you need to find someone who has enough knowledge on each one of the series nominated to cast their vote fair and square, but fuck, we can’t either still allow to have a show which episode got a 5,7/10 to win as the ‘Outstanding Animated Program’ just because it’s the most famous! (especially if we consider The Simpsons has drastically plummeted in popularity for the last 15+ years)

I watched Mori Calliope’s stream of Needy Streamer Overload/Overdose and I have to admit it’s been a while since a game like that has shaken me. This comment will have spoilers and will get personal.
For people who has been online for enough time, we always find someone that acts like Ame-chan. I think what messes up most is that Ame-chan isn’t an evil person, but one that consistently takes terrible decisions and how lonely she is. She only has P-chan, her boyfriend (or girlfriend, since the devs went for a gender-neutral/irrelevant character), who acts as her dutiful mod and manager.
It’s really a story of blowing up as a streamer. But what messed me up most is P-chan. Calli was ambivalent to Ame-chan, sometimes she did genuinely want to help her, other times she just wanted to leave and don’t look back. Calli’s reactions are far too familiar.
When you start you are young and naïve, you think that you can “fix” people, because you read in a book once - people are rational, like I was brainwashed learned in college. Then you learn through recognizing your errors that you can’t “fix” people, but you can act as a support and you learn that giving them an ear is the best thing you can do. Then you start to get tired because it’s the same routine all over again, it feels like it’s one step forward and two backwards. Then you stop caring and you start to feel like you’re monster for not caring, but you’re too tired to care about being a monster. But, in the end, you realize you don’t have anything in common anymore, like how Bojack and Diane’s friendship ended. Funnily enough, I wrote last time about redemption being a messy process. Because it’s messy, there’s a chance that it might simply fail. Grace and mercy can be rejected. People aren’t like machines when you always put the right inputs, you always get the expected output, and sometimes it’s not out of malice, but lack of understanding. Sometimes the "juice" just runs off. Maybe I could’ve perserved more, but I was feeling so useless and I didn’t want to think my friend was hopeless. I still wonder if I did the right thing in my case.
It really warms my heart when Ame-chan has a non-toxic level of affection for P-chan, it feels everything is right, headpats feel earned. I think Ame-chan herself is much prettier than her alter ego, in spite of also having a stylized character. The devs really set up quite the bait. P-chan could be the one to fix Ame-chan if he did the right choices, right?
It turns out P-chan doesn’t exist. It’s implied P-chan is just a construct made by Ame-chan to cope with her loneliness and mental problems. Even when she gets the apparent best ending, by getting a new home, she’s still lonely and complains how useless P-chan is - he's not really there. The only endings that are more better involve her abandoning streaming and P-chan. The fact P-chan can break Ame-chan even further is really dark.
(Unless, of course, P-chan is real, but expendable, according to secret ending, but it got too weird and postmodern and I stopped thinking. I think just leaving at those implications is enough for a good story)
I feel Needy Streamer Overload is a nice game, but I don’t want to watch another stream of it anymore. It’s almost kind of like Specs Ops: The Line where the best ending ican be achieved by not to playing it. But still, maybe the “Needy Girl Overload” (Calli’s VOD title) wasn’t Ame-chan, but myself all along.

Princess Carolyn is hands-down the best character in BoJack Horseman, and one of the best things about The Sims is that you have the ability to create most of your favorite people and characters from tv shows in it, but as you know, most BoJack’s characters are anthro animals, and there isn’t such a thing in the sims... until now. Sure, human versions of Princess Carolyn in The Sims can turn out really good, but nothing like a version that is close to the original, eh?
This mod adds P.C’s assets:
head, eye shape and color, eyelashes, hair, ears, skin and nose color
the outfit isn’t included because i didn’t make it, it was made by karastars, who also made the other 4 outfits of the main characters

Do you have any advice for maintaining a celebrity's likeness in a drawing without compromising your art style? When I try to draw real people they look completely different from how they should be and my art style ends up totally skewed as well. Thanks in advance!
This is a tough skill to develop! but with some hard work and research you’ll be able to do it!!!
My recommendation is to study professional caricature! Even if the end goal isn’t to do exaggerated crazy portraits of the the celebrity, studying the art form can help you learn to apply those concepts more subtly in your own style!
The key element of caricature is studying a persons face and looking for what makes them unique or different from the ‘standard’ anatomical face model, eg how do their proportions stray away form the ‘rules’.
once you take note of these things experiment by exaggerating them in different ways through quick thumbnail sketches

They might not look like the person right away but keep experimenting! trial and error is your friend!!!
(for more info on Caricature the Proko youtube channel has a whole in depth series by Court Jones the artist above! I Highly recommend checking it out and the other lecture series the channel!)
Once you have done this research you can apply it to your style and design the celebrity just like the design team on Netflix’s BoJack Horseman designed Character actress Margo Martindale! She and many other celebrity cameo’s on the show look like themselves but also like they belong in the world of the show!
The final thought I want to leave you with is: don’t worry too much about art style or let it get in the way of learning new ways to draw. There is a lot of pressure on the internet to find your own unique art style and have everything be consistent all the time but this thinking can actually get in the way of your artistic growth if you focus on it too much or to early.
I Personally dont care about consistency at all in my art, I design the style of the drawing based on the project (eg. am I going to animate this character, is it an illustration, what age group am I targeting? what Genre? if you want to see examples of this I have plenty on my instagram)
I have a lot of feelings on the topic of art styles but I dont want this post to be essay length or take me a week to write so please watch this video by Kesh on youtube about it : Stop Trying to Find Your Art Style He talks about this issue way more clearly and concisely then I ever could!

Do any of the mods watch BoJack Horseman? I see people say its good but when i found out that Diane Nguyen a Vietnamese-American is played by a white actress it made me not want to watch it.
Yeah, I've seen it. I'm also SE Asian, and I was disappointed to see a white woman playing her. Initially I wasn't too upset, but later there's an episode where she struggles with her identity that I found really gross. The show is...okay. There are some really good plotlines and discussion about intergenerational trauma, but it takes a long time to get descent, and the main character is like Holden from Catcher in the Rye in that he's shitty but fans love him and don't get that he's supposed to be a bad person.

Not Taylor related but do you play the sims?
Hahaha I went through a Sims 4 era at the start of the pandemic. I used to play like Sims 2 obsessively but I didn’t even do the expansion packs for Sims 3 because I didn’t like the fact that all the characters age up at the same time so I couldn’t world build properly so it wasn’t fun for me. I don’t really game at all so I forgot about it but then the first lockdown happened and I was like “well why not” and I got obsessive as I always do and then I was like “eh fuck this” after a while and maybe I’ll go back idk.
So ya things I’ve done in the pandemic: Sims 4 with like... all the mods lol and those kinds of animations, a really intense obsession with Caro Calloway (I’ve known about her since Nataliegate but I learned everything about her last year because she is AMAZINGLY FASCINATING), an attempt to join the BoJack fandom, a lot of arguing about BLM with racist people on Facebook and then... I found @swiftgron-get-married.
Coz like TTB was a side project for a long time I did enjoy reading her in a “huh people really be trash” sorta way but then I started reading more after folklore because there was lots of really wild content and someone there recommended Cam’s blog and I was like “oh are there others?” and then I stalked Cam for a while and like... SHE WASN’T NUTS?
And I was like, “well I’ve thought homegirl is fruity since I heard the gay ass ditty known as Dress” and “I’ve always beliebed in 2+ muses on Rep” so I started anoning Cam and then eventually I started this blog and now here we are.
What was I talking about? Sims. Right. See this is what I meant the other day by word vomit.
I don’t regularly play Sims but I do very much enjoy it and I went through a Sims era in 2020. I like building like... worlds tbh with like a lot of drama so I play with ageing on/off and like “active households only age when I’m playing them” so that they don’t get up to nonsense. I also need mods for it because the 4 gameplay is a lil childish for my worldbuilding requirements. I need it a bit more realistic. Not just for sex stuff just like moods and stuff even. And also the mod which prevents them from washing dishes in bathrooms because it’s SO WEIRD they do that. I don’t like the fantasy bits/fantasy expansion packs. Like I say I like it as a worldbuilding storytelling exercise.

Hello there my fellow cockroaches! Mod Lia and I came to the realization that we have not formally introduced ourselves to y’all yet. Time to change that a bit!
My name is Cass! I use they/them pronouns.
I am a late-teenage Enbon with some complicated identities. I mainly identify as queer, because it’s easier to explain to people. However- more specifically (about 50 percent zoomed in) I am a fat non-binary person who is also an aroflux asexual lesbian. Additionally, I am also Latine mixed with a European background. I am also a non-denominational Christian. Got a lot going on here, proud of all of it.
I enjoy consuming art with friends, analyzing the shit out of it, banging out the tunes on my ukelele, and a number of other things. I frickin love cartoons- my favorites are (in no particular order) Shera (the reboot), Steven Universe, and Bojack Horseman. To give you an idea of my vibes- I have been told I am a combo of Steven, Lapis, and Pearl from Steven universe.
