landonorris I’m going to try and keep this as brief as possible because Y/n is incredibly special to me and I would like to keep the best parts of her to myself, but, yes, I do have a girlfriend. As you can probably gather, her name is Y/n and she’s been my lifeline for the past 5 years. I know this picture doesn’t really do justice to how she looks or how we are as a couple, but I’ve found that I would like to keep it that way. She’s someone I hold very close to my heart and keeping the quiet, intimate moments just for us is a high priority for me. All I ask from all of you is that you treat her with the kindness she deserves and don’t bombard her on social media. I’ve kept her away from the spotlight for a long time and have only made her presence known because keeping her a secret seemed worse than letting the F1 world into that part of my life. hi guys, i'm back (after a century) and i'm gonna tell you why i was gone along with another update 😭

it's an extremely chaotic fall break & 'while-i-was-gone' summary, my apologies if you find it difficult to read.

so as of recently, i have a crush on a boy at school 😭 and i haven't liked a boy at school since i was nearly ten years old. it's been a few years.

it's been so chaotic, and i've been trying to journal about my school time and my thoughts at home and it takes up so much time along with me trying to manifest because apparently "it works!" so why not give it a shot.

well i did, and it works. only a bit though, along with the fact that every time i braid my hair in pigtails something happens between me and (we'll call him macaroni.)

we had fall break, and usually i love it, even though i can't stand my family for more than five waking hours, but this year, i couldn't wait to get back to see my friends, finish up school work, and get away from my family, (and maybe 1% cz i missed seeing macaroni at schl..?)

i've been so obvious lately, going to games he has and stuff and i'm pretty sure his friends know even if he doesn't i've seen him follow me into the library and walk by some of my classes so idk what to think (i need help 💀)

my friends keep telling me, not to stop every time i see him and when i see him (during lunch) i literally pause in my tracks and stare before i realize i'm probably being weird asf and then i turn around and my friends start getting excited with their usual dose of shits and giggles trying to see where i saw him (its like i have an entire process when i see him it's so pathetic 😭)

i'm terrifed and have to be sure that he knows, i probably like him. i mean we don't talk at all except for a few comments he made on my computer and me talking about his water bottle (it's stupid) and when he had detention i was getting grades for my test from my teacher and i should've picked a different time to ask but my teacher had told me to come in during break. (SO I DID 💀)

not only this, but me and my friends go to his games because on my friends likes someone on the team, and the other goes anyway for fun. so i started going with them, except my father grounded me because i took my computer to school and i'm not able to go anymore.

i feel kind of saved, because now i don't have to face the fear of being around him. and my friends they're constantly feeding me these delusions and what-if's which only excite me until i realize perhaps it isn't true. because nobody except for maybe 5 people i know have ever had a crush on me, not absolute strangers who i like and might like me back nobody as EVER "liked me back."

then again, i'm pretty sure his friends know bcz me and my 2 friends were walking out of the library and his friends left him where we were and started laughing when he found out we were right there and he ran back to his friends like he was embarrassed or something.

my friends ofc, keep telling me stuff like "oh after the game him and his mom both looked at you, so its possible he likes you and totally told his mom." but it's kinda believable because during the game his mom looked at me like twice and smiled at me. and he looks at me at school literally whenever we pass him when we're walking or something.

anyway, enough about my absolute panicking SCHOOOOOOLLL

i finally have straight a's guys !!

and i'm going to a melmar trilogy tour concert in may next yr, with my friends <3

also, i've been gone because my parents have been seriously wonky with their "after 9" or "after 10" rules on my devices and during the day i'm either reading or studying, but my winter break is in two weeks, and i WILL NOT DISAPPOINT my little lovelies reading this 💗 ty guys sm if you made it this far you guys are my real ones and you know it (🎄 if you made it to the end)

There are NOT!!!!! enough posts on this webbed site talking about Antiope and Alesand. FRIENDSHIP OF THE MILLENNIUM, I am LIVING!!!!!!!!

Dark Ages issues 5 and 6 highlights (plus some very narrowly-focused musings and speculation) under the cut.

I did NOT expect two new characters (who are really only fleshed out in the last three issues) to be my favorite part of this miniseries, but here we are. This series scratched a very specific itch I’ve always had about Gargoyles regarding the “on-screen” relationships between female characters, and between these two kiddos and Sacrifice’s mentorship of Desdemona, we FINALLY made some headway into where I always wanted to be!

First of all, SHE GOT TO FLY FOR REAL!!! Congrats, Alesand, you did it. You’re living 10yo Citrus’s ultimate fantasy and I’m SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY FOR YOU! Out there living the 10th century dream, fr fr 💛💛💛

Antiope’s FACE!! Sorry, Brooklyn and Broadway, but you aren’t getting any credit apparently, bahahaha XD

Antiope always being the one to tell Alesand how to be careful in the cave (around a bunch of stuff Alesand doesn’t understand) and just generally looking out for her safety and well-being, with Alesand trusting and heeding her friend’s warnings without question 🥺 Plus, the way she tries to shield Alesand from the dragon’s view for just an instant longer with her wings to give Alesand as much of a head start as she can is such a fantastic detail 🥺🥺🥺

The way that both Brooklyn and Antiope remain (relatively) calm under pressure and are the ones to have the most common sense when trying to reason with Wyvern, plus them being the ones who shape the quintet’s exit strategy from the cave 🥺

“I swear I’ll let no harm come to, friend Alesand!” GIRL!!!!!!!!! 🥺💖😭💯

ANTIOPE IS QUICKEST TO SPEAK AND COVER THEIR TRACKS WHILE SPECIFICALLY LOOKING AT HER FRIEND, PLUS THAT LOOK IN THE LAST TWO PANELS, I’M!!!!!!!

The last speaking lines they have, second to last panel of the miniseries. I love Alesand’s exhuberance, it’s clearly not something that Antiope is used to. Their relationship dynamic is gold, A+ no notes.

Ok, so Watsonian speculation time! I know it’s foolish to hold out hope that the friendship between these two will last, as-is, until 994 (or beyond… hey, I can dream, can’t I?!?!!). Even if they were the same biological age at the time of the miniseries, this is just a snapshot in time for them, since they age at different rates (absolutely heartbreaking information that I’ve been keeping in the back of my brain this whole time, thanks I hate it). Even more heartbreaking is that we know what Robert will do, how disillusioned he is with the inhabitants of the castle by 994, and of the cracks and fissures in the human-human relationships and human-gargoyle alliance that began forming long before the day of the massacre. I have to think that Alesand’s death at some point before Episode 1 was a huge catalyst, if not the primary motivation, for Robert’s betrayal of the castle. I’m guessing that the gargoyles did what they could to help/save her, which is why he digs in to the “humans are not my kind” sentiment, but my latest hypothesis is that the sympathy(/lack thereof) he got from either Prince Malcolm or Catherine/the Magus was such that the man he once was, the man who was so unwaveringly loyal to the crown, died at the same time she did.

It’s even possible that the Archmage was directly/indirectly responsible for her death, and part of the reason he was banished. Maybe Robbie wanted to execute him for his crimes, but Prince Malcolm refused? I don’t want that story to be told because I would be inconsolable if true, but it also seems incredibly possible… not to mention a potential path for the villagers to get to the point where they openly call the gargoyles beasts and monsters. What better reason for hate than the death of one of their own? :(

That, or Alesand and Antiope really do disappear to join the theater troupe Illuminati, and everyone just thinks they died. I would prefer that by a mile, but I won’t explicitly count on it (surprise me, Greg. Let them survive somehow, I double-dog dare you) ;)

A couple more wrap-up thoughts:

- I’m absolutely gobsmacked that Lex knows how to read already. Whom did he learn from?? I had previously assumed Demona was going to be the literacy vector for everyone in the clan who was interested in learning (since, iirc, word-of-God stated she taught Goliath) but clearly that’s not true! I still love that Alesand is going to learn from Lex, though. Did Brooklyn learn from him as well? 🤔

- I am absolutely not normal about widower Hudson. The last two-page spread stabbed me right in the heart.

- I feel like there’s a lot more to say about Verity, since her attitude was so very, very different from the stated origins of her clan, and none of the other gargoyles even acknowledged Wyvern’s opinion of humans as they fended him off. Is “human problems become gargoyle problems” a philosophy that the clan had adopted decades before the alliance with Prince Malcolm that Verity was merely reminding Hudson of in Issue 1, or was it a belief that was primarily only held by herself, and it became part of Hudson’s guiding principles as he was forced to carry on without her, and thus he made a conscious effort to make it part of the clan’s common culture only recently? What did “protecting the castle” mean to Hudson before there was an actual castle to protect? Wyvern’s cave? The rookery? Did he literally make up the saying “a gargoyle can no more stop protecting the castle than breathing the air” as the castle was being built? There are SO many little Wyvern-gargoyle-culture questions to chew on here. 🤔🤔🤔

- Looking back at the TV series, I find it interesting that Demona places such a significant chunk of blame on Goliath’s leadership/philosophy specifically, when their clan throwing their lot in with humans was a decision made by Hudson during his leadership tenure. You’d think she’d have way, way more to say to him about that in hindsight… but maybe it’s yet another example of how incredibly short-sighted she can be.

they’re going on and on about how it must be pr. now, yes, there have been times f1 couples called the paps themselves (KELLY!!! and charlotte come to mind, there were sus ones of kika and pierre too) but i don’t think this is one of those scenarios… so here’s me attempting to debunk. this is going to be VERY LONG so grab a snack and get comfy lol:

first of all. charles is the pr prince(ss) when it comes to racing related things/media and sponsors. he does NOT play about his sponsors. he rushes immediately after a race to put all of his sponsored jewelry on no matter what and he is always wearing those damn meta glasses. he takes those sponsorships SERIOUSLY. if he knew that there was going to be paparazzi, i sincerely doubt, as a long time charles fan who knows how seriously he takes brand deals, he would wear one of their biggest rival’s biggest sponsors. like he could wear any other swimsuit and you’re trying to tell me that on the one day that he apparently paid the paps to be there he chose that one out of all of them 💀 like bffr his ass had no idea they were coming!

and that wasn’t even me getting into the at least 5-6 times straight off the top of my head the times that charles said how much he hates how his personal life is in the spotlight, hates how f1 drivers are treated outside of the race track now too (speaking again of his personal/private life and how it’s in the spotlight now), hates how his relationship [w/ charlotte] was so public (he said this in nov 2022 so it was after they broke up probably but before they announced it), and he even said that while being an f1 driver is his dream, he wishes he could disappear in public. does that SOUND like a man who would pay paps to take pics of him or who would allow his girlfriend or friends to pay paps to take pics???

another reason why they claim these are paid is because of the anti-pap laws in france. fair enough point on surface level but if you look into it… um no. yes, they were in corsica where the photos were taken. HOWEVER! the photos were PUBLISHED in an italian magazine. now the french law states that you aren’t allowed to publish, or even take, photos of people without consent, but does this stop people? nope! how many times have you seen photos of your favorite celebrities in paris from random people and in gossip magazines and whatnot? so if they can’t enforce it then, what the hell makes these people think they’ll enforce it on some random magazine from italy? the answer is that they probably won’t unless charles himself takes action, but that’s a long process and it’s expensive and chances are not much would even happen because the photos are already out there now, and if celebrities could just sue paps and get rid of them forever… NEWS FLASH! THEY WOULD HAVE DONE IT ALREADY! 😱

also another bit of information on the “anti-pap laws”. this is literally one of the very first things that pops up when you look up anti paparazzi laws in france. if these gossip pages or the anons on them bothered to do any research they would have seen it but obviously they don’t. “according to jamie nordhaus, although the french government set strong laws to prevent paparazzi from invading celebrity privacy, these laws counteract each other. they, thus, are not efficient enough to protect celebrities and their children.” mind you, jamie nordhaus is a professional attorney with 20 years of experience in laws to do with licensing and the exploitation of things to do with licensing (*cough* like paparazzi photos *cough*) and how to protect clients against these exploitations. simple google search tells us this. if an attorney with 20 years of experience to do with things in this topic, along with my common sense, says that these laws aren’t helpful, i believe her more than i believe user ihatealexstmlx on instagram, thanks!

the only thing i’m questioning is the clearness of the photos but 🤷‍♀️ if your whole job is to take photos of people from a distance you’d probably have a good camera to do it no? and you can also literally see the shrubs of bushes and crap in front of the camera lol if they were paid to be there and everybody knew they’d be there why would they hide in the bushes like what? another thing i thought might have been suspicious was that they were in a private villa with no close neighbors, but the more i thought about it the more i realized that wasn’t a good point. you can see in the ad charles posted for le collectionist (where the villa they stayed in was from) how intensely and violently the waves lap against the beach. that was NOT safe to swim in! so they probably were at a public beach in those photos or at least a much more accessible place that wasn’t right in front of their villa, and therefore probably easier to get to for unauthorized paparazzi [**I’M RESENDING JUST TO ADD THAT MORE PHOTOS WERE RELEASED AND YES, THEY WERE AT A PUBLIC AND POPULAR BEACH WHERE IT WOULD NOT BE HARD TO GET TO OR BLEND IN**] … just saying. that’s all :)

Reread through the notes I made and to sum it up, I do think the pararai anime is neat! I knew spoilery stuff about Nayuta since way back when and had a general grasp of the character's trap reactions, but not so much about the general plot (aside from the winners and all) so I don't think I have much thoughts about it?

As a story in of itself though, I like that each group gets their time in the spotlight but apparently TCW doesn't get a full performance?— My notes kept mentioning it and I seemed a little annoyed—

Also live love laugh Ryu being a menace. It was enjoyable enough but given BAE and Cozmez seemed to be in the spotlight, it sort of left TCW and Akanyatsura behind in terms of development (Although they seemed developed enough, if that makes sense)

As for Le Guin, i 1000% recommend The Left Hand of Darkness, it's the only book i gave 5 stars to that i've read this year and i'm not kidding when i say it changed my life. I haven't read her other stuff yet but i've heard that The Word For World Is Forest is also a good one and apparently it's something of an allegory or commentary on the Vietnam War. and i've heard a lot of good things about The Dispossessed that i've also been meaning to read next! I think these three are all set in the same universe too.

Do people know that a tour which lasts months is promo, right? Suga might have “only” 3 weeks for pre-release promo because he is going to spend month touring which is amazing for longevity.

It really bothers me is that armys went overboard with the US charts. If they can’t keep it there they shouldn’t have put him so high just to let him down, literally.

There’s no worse thing that can happen if it free falls and this week is the only one we mostly have the focus on Jimin. After the fighting and whining about why Yoongi isn’t getting this and that like Jimin etc etc is going to start.

At least this one song is going to raise the streams for LC in the last day of tracking.

A tour is really good for promo. He could even do interviews and make radio and TV appearances while the tour is going, and that's brilliant promo too. Jimin got a month because they already knew they'd have to squeeze on the street in there. The preorder was open, sure, but also other stuff was coming out too. I don't think anything else will come out now. Face and dday is all there is now for the foreseeable future (the next three weeks).

Omg but billboard hot 100 was almost an accident😭 the goal was like #40 or less. I don't remember but not many people expected it above 50, same with smf2 that ranked 30 and that was a surprise for everyone. I don't think anyone imagined like crazy would go so high. Everyone was just on Spotify and then the first prediction came out and like crazy was listed #7 just like that.

I have to say tho that I strongly believe pjm fanbases did a lot but silently. I've seen pjm funds tweet that things were going just as they planned but they didn't want to disclose numbers. So everyone was kind of in the dark so nobody saw it coming until the predictions.

Apparently it was also a collateral effect of people buying the album, since billboard 200 was actually the record armys were going for. I'm not familiar with the specifics.

I know everyone cares about the repercussions if it free falls, but I try to be realistic about it and not let myself get carried away by antis madness. Jimin on his own is not really a solo stablished artist, this is just his first EP. Him getting a #1 even for just a week is a major milestone to me. Great majority of artists don't ever get that top position in their entire lives. Miley Cyrus got #1 with flowers, and her only one before that was wrecking ball, a decade ago. And it's Miley Cyrus, she's made a name for herself and it was that hard for her too. Taylor Swift had Willow too, it was #1 for a week and then fell several spots. And that's Taylor Swift, like... Harry got a #5 with his first solo single and that was in 2017 when the chart rules were so much easier to manipulate. He got his first #1 on his second album, it was watermelon sugar that charted #1 for only one week too. His first and only stable #1 until now has been as it was, with his THIRD (!) soloist album.

I try to be realistic and even if I'm no chart expert, I can tell from what I know from other artists I listen to, that getting a #1 even for a week is not easy. I think Jimin has the potential to top charts consistently for many weeks in a row. Face has already been the number one album on itunes worldwide for 11 days straight. But he needs to be somewhat of a household name. Getting BB hot 100 with the current rules on his debut album is a lot.

There's so much I'm wishing that will come true so it can keep that position for at least one more week. I'm wishing with everything in me that it doesn't free fall, not because I care about people who never cracked top 50 will say, but because it's actually a great song! More importantly, because Jimin deserves. I know US pjms/armys who can do something about it, will do it. But even if what they do is not enough for a second week, I think anyone in real life knows that even getting it for only week is a huge accomplishment. Jimin has just started building his career, and the only way is up.

I'm very dramatic in my feelings and the mystical and stuff so I'm also thinking a lot about how BTS got their first #1 during the pandemic with dynamite, and now Jimin is getting his #1 with a song about issues he went through during the pandemic. Full circle.

Helloo peeps!!!

It's being more than a month n I haven't posted anything, I ofc finished my 100 days of Productivity challenge but couldn't post it cos of the hectic schedule with all the assignments, tests, work and exam.

So FINALLYYYY today my end sem got over 🎉

I'll be starting my internship from tmrw 💀 so no break.

But now again I'm starting with the 100 days of productivity challenge from today (🤣 will also help me keep track of work I do in internship n so will be easily able to write reports too).

1/100 Days of Productivity

25/05/22

1. Woke up at 5 am and started studying for today's Business Law exam

2. Gave the exam, apparently sir came several times but I didn't notice.. luckily was able to finish off the whole paper. Only thing is I didn't write examples cos didn't have time 😬 but oh well better than leaving paper blank

3. Had another mentoring session and sir managed to customise my internship to such an extent that 95% it's confirmed that I have got permission to do my own business work for 2 hrs or so while working there 😭🥳

4. While I was there I had received mail for a video the company needed n I had to make it but then another mail came n ma'am wanted an introduction creative/banner for the co-founders of the company and it was urgent as they had to send it to some client.. so came home around 3:30pm n got to that work by 4:00pm.. submitted 1 design at 4:58 (🤣 exact 2 mins before deadline) but ma'am asked for one more option n something "more creative, maybe with a background? But still professional" n well made 3 more designs n sent those.. but ofcccc the first design had more readability so one of the co-founders selected it n then it was sent to other n ma'am said he'll make any changes if required so sent the editable link as well

5. Just lied down n watched a movie after that cos heck I was up since 5 in the morning without any break n running on 6 hrs of sleep for more than a week.. 😭 no break man

So that was it.. kinda nervous for tmrw especially cos how there's always this possibility of ppl not liking your designs n all and happens more cos everyone's designing sense is diff ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hope it goes off smoothly 🤞

18. 🇮🇱 “I.M” by Michael Ben David: i dislike this song immensely, and what i’ve seen and heard from the act himself in the past few days makes me dislike him personally too!

17. 🇦🇺 “Not the Same” by Sheldon Riley: it’s a nice message but it comes across a bit pretentious to me and annoying i’m not gonna lie

16. 🇲🇹 “I Am Who I Am” by Emma Muscat: this actually pains me so much bc i love emma but this song is just not good, she should’ve stuck with “Out Of Sight” at least that was a decent pop song

15. 🇫🇮 “Jezebel” by The Rasmus: i like the melody but the lyrics are just so bad i cannot get into this song. his vocals also don’t sound very good. sorry :/

14. 🇧🇪 “Miss You” by Jérémie Makiese: the studio cut is nice (although nothing spectacular) and i thought they would stage it very well, but looks like that’s not the case. apparently he missed the big note quite badly in the jury show. don’t have big hopes for this one

13. 🇬🇪 “Lock Me In” by Circus Mircus: i do like the studio cut but it gets a little repetitive and they didn’t give it the life on stage i was hoping for :(

12. 🇲🇰 “Circles” by Andrea: it’s a nice song and she sings it well, it’s just a little forgettable for me. they really gave her nothing to work with staging-wise, either

11. 🇵🇱 “River” by Ochman: i liked this song at first, but again it’s very repetitive and i’ve grown off it over time. his voice is crazy good though. not a fan of the windows movie maker effects though lol

10. 🇪🇪 “Hope” by Stefan: i looooove the studio track of this song, and i wish we could’ve seen what they would’ve done with this had the stage been working correctly, but alas, we’re left with a giant black hole and it’s just not perfect for me like i wanted it to be. still, sing your heart out boy <3

9. 🇦🇿 “Fade to Black” by Nadir Rustamli: the song isn’t great by itself, but they’ve really elevated it with the staging. he has maybe the best male voice this year in my opinion, he sounds just like the studio cut.

8. 🇷🇴 “Llámame” by wrs: the revamped version of this is great, and they bring so much life on stage. i’m really worried about how the juries will react to this but i hope he gets enough love to qualify

7. 🇮🇪 “That’s Rich” by Brooke: this is so good 😭 i’m so proud of ireland for once and i really need to see her serving in the final too. girlie deserves it

6. 🇲🇪 “Breathe” by Vladana: another big grower for me this year, the lyrics might not flow that well, but you can get the overall message, and the beautiful instrumental only enhances that for me, plus she looks gorgeous on stage.

5. 🇨🇾 “Ela” by Andromache: i love this song, it’s so enchanting and magical, and i like the staging concept they’ve used. she’s a fantastic singer, and i like that cyprus is incorporating ethnic elements and the greek language into their songs again. i think they’ll keep their qualification streak (apart from ukraine & sweden i think that’ll make them the country with the longest one? assuming israel NQs. pretty cool for such a small country!)

4. 🇸🇲 “Stripper” by Achille Lauro: speaking of qualification streaks! the smallest country in the contest shall hopefully have a 3 year one! this is just, so good. achille is a born performer and he has put on a show for europe.

3. 🇨🇿 “Lights Off” by We Are Domi: i love this as a show closer! so much energy, i love dominika and the light show for this looks so cool!

2. 🇸🇪 “Hold Me Closer” by Cornelia Jakobs: i know she’s had technical problems (here’s hoping she won’t tonight) but this is just the whole package, amazing song, amazing staging, amazing voice. i really hope everything falls into place tonight

1. 🇷🇸 “In Corpore Sano” by Konstrakta: who else would be my number one, lol? i’ve already repeated myself ad infinitum about this song, this is my fave of the whole contest. she is simply a queen.

F1 Re-Watch 2013: Round 9 - Germany

You have no idea how excited I've been to get to this race on my season watch through. Germany 2013 was Seb's first and only German GP win and frankly I'm very surprised that I'd never watched it before now.

This was also the second to last F1 race to be held at the Nürburgring (the last being the Eifel GP in 2020), and I'm ngl I likely picked it over Hockenheim to host the German GP in Life In The Fast Lane because of this race 😅

So this live blog post will likely go off the rails when the sebfucker meltdown kicks in, but for now let's jump in!

Honestly, for me this race onwards is likely going to be my favourite part of my 2013 watch through. Seb winning at home, then Lewis in Hungary, then Seb winning all the races from Belgium to Brazil. 11/10 would recommend to a friend on TripAdvisor.

Anyway, let's jump into the starting grid:

Lewis pole, he had a decent amount of them in 2013 given that fact that the car wasn't quite up to scratch (#JustLewisThings), Seb P2 🥰, Dan P6!!!!, The Ferrari's in 7th and 8th?! (??????), Jenson P9!!!! It could have been worse!!

oh it did, Jev in P16 😭

This is why I call it starting grid whiplash.

Helmet watch: Seb's helmet for this race was *chef's kiss* so good.

the metallic gold and matte black with the German flag stripe hidden in the gold. JMD Helmets superiority.

[Formation Lap]: Mediums and Softs the compounds for this race.

Apparently Lewis had a bunch of mechanical problems on his car right before the race. Good grief.

I will say watching races that happened before the introduction of the Virtual Safety Car is quite unnerving in situations like this.

also wild for people to be making their first stops this early and it to be legit

[Lap 6]: oh god they're investigating the unsafe release after the race aefjeihfe clown show stewarding once again

[Lap 7]: anyway Lewis pits for his first stop, softs off for mediums. He comes out in 10th.

[Lap 8]: and in comes Seb, also softs for mediums

and he comes out ahead of Lewis!!

Red Bull did have a quicker stop, which definitely helped

and interestingly they've come out behind cars that started on the mediums, so they're going to have to do some on-track passes early on

[Lap 9]: oh shit one of the tyres came off Webber's car and hit a cameraman.

what the actual fuck

the cameraman's being tended to by Merc mechanics and FIA medical staff, thank goodness.

[Lap 10]: And Lewis gets past Raikkonen for 7th

[Lap 11]: and Seb overtakes Jenson for P3

oh god. Lewis is behind Nico Rosberg. my eye is twitching.

I know this was before 2016, but watching this after the 2016 season is... yeah... I'm having anxiety.

[Lap 12]: There's been a team radio call for Nico to let Lewis by but I'm still feeling dread at seeing them be one behind the other.

[Lap 13]: Meanwhile there's a Lotus right behind Lewis waiting for an opportunity to get past.

(however you feel about either of them, the battles between them are always so good)

[Lap 23]: oh, Lewis is back into the pits. Merc have moved him onto the 3 stop. He's onto another set of mediums.

And there's a Marussia with a big plume of smoke.... and catching fire. oh dear.

... now it's rolling down the hill backwards.

Oh so now they bring out the Safety Car.

It's worth noting though, for anyone who hasn't seen any races from 2013, that the first half of the season was very different to the second when Seb won every race. Seb and Red Bull only won 4 races in the first half of 2013, Mercedes won 3, Ferrari won 2 and Lotus won the first race in Australia. the 2013 grid was competitive to a degree. Seb just was in bastard mode for the second half of the season.

(this has been in my drafts for almost a month but i saw this tweet and decided i might as well write a little more and share)

part of the reason a survival show is a horrible idea for nct tokyo is because i feel like nct members have a very specific vibe. like you know when we call taeyong THE neo or say that something like a song or concept or outfit is “neo,” like it’s hard to explain but there is a certian vibe for sure… i don’t think it’s a coincidence that quite a few members were street cast or sought after specifically as opposed to regular auditioning like most kpop trainees.

this is also part of the reason why i think limitless expansion only yielded 23 members at the group’s largest point, because honestly if it was just about adding people mindlessly they could debut any somewhat talented somewhat attractive young male trainee and call it a day 😭

(i think the nct dream graduation system failing because it was so poorly organized is to blame too, with a graduation system rotational group it would be far easier to introduce new members but honestly no one really wants/wanted that)

sm has never cared about being organized with the nct units since so many members like sungchan, shotaro, ten, and kun remained unitless for years. they literally could have just added more people during nct 2020 or 2021. but i still think that back then they had a shred of integrity and knew that adding any boy to a group with a very specific vibe is just not the move.

it’s like when nctzens say only nct can cover nct. i literally knew nothing about these trainees when i started writing this, as of today i know their faces, names, and ages. i don’t think it’s right for me to judge them since i have never seen any of these guys perform, but i feel like there are other issues too.

going off track with this whole neo vibe talk, i am still so concerned about the gap in experience and even age. there are 06 and 07 liners in the competition, and that is just…… we do not need more 15 year olds in kpop. we do not want 15 year olds in nct. we have seen nct dream talk about how hard it was to debut at such a young age we do not need that or want that. there’s gonna be almost a 15 year gap between taeil and these little kids. this wouldn’t be as apparent of an issue if the limitless expansion thing had literally expanded to the point where new people are added all the time, but since nct will have less than 30 members it’s much more visible. nct has done so many mature concepts we do not need kids in nct

also because so many nctzens are adults too. i honestly don’t know how many new fans this unit is gonna bring in. i think sm saw how popular boys planet was and was like ok 😄👍. but i do not see this new unit brining in many fans, from what i’ve seen nct is already quite popular in japan. i don’t even think the 5 nctzens that are all all unit stans will tune in because we do not like this idea as a whole. and now that i am nearly 20 i avoid every group with extremely young members, i literally do not think i can stan a group where every member is younger than i am if i am literally just 19. so if none of the 02 or 03 (or even 04) boys make it…. yeah not good. we want older people please

and now: experience gap

literally over half of nct have been idols for over 7 years, which is how long most idols last at all in the industry (if they’re lucky and don’t disband earlier). in other instances where members debuted later (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020) the gap was less of an issue for a few reasons. in 2018, nct were still a pretty young group and still were establishing themselves. and since all the new members debuted in nct u with their more experienced counterparts, it was a benefit overall since the older members could help the newer ones. and i think in 2019 it was the same. when xiaohenyang debuted in wayv, the other 4 members of the group that debuted with them had been in the group for at least one (or, almost one) year at that time. and winwin had been in a fixed unit since debut and i think all of that helped the new members not stick out as inexperienced at all. and obviously by the time they debuted in nct u the following year they had already gained a lot of skills on their own.

as for sungtaro, it was similar to nct 2018 in the sense that it was just them and debuting in nct u with other members who were more experienced and could guide them. and when nct tokyo debuted they would have that connection to the main group thanks to sungtaro. and now we don’t have that. and it’s probably gonna be seven 15 year olds hanging out with grandfather aged nct 127 i hate it here 😭

i’m afraid i’m also in the multi mess league 👊 i’m pretty consistent with keeping skz as my ults but other than that… let’s say i chronically obsess over other groups too 😅 even if they’re not new or anything it just happens sometimes 🤷‍♀️

i was initially more of a bg stan (nct, tbz, oneus/weus, txt, svt, atz…) but i seem to be getting a lot more into gg now, my current faves being dreamcatcher (i knew their title tracks but omg their whole discography is perfect ???), loona, twice, aespa, everglow, tri.be, and also some soloists (bibi, you ha, lee chanhyuk, kwon eun bi, chung ha) probably forgetting some but yeah 🤔

as for a skz bias… i’m a ✨han jisung enthusiast✨ (i do have lix minho and changbin hours too) but it mostly is about jisung all the time like 🙃 i did’nt know a hyperfixation could last this long it’s a little scary✌️

Yet another notice that I aint dead just yet!

That meltdown was.... pretty bad I won't lie. I actually did try that time.. first time in 5 years lmfao

I won't go too in detail. I feel like I talk too much all to say the same two things over and over again. It was a really weird feeling though. My previous attempts throughout my childhood were kinda misguided. Like the intent was there and all but.. ya know. Barely got over the fear of my parents busting through my room with printouts of my search history 😭

Soo although throughout my life I've probably tried to unalive myself 7-8 different times I really only count or mention about 2 of them (and barely that tbh). I never really researched further into what exactly it'd take for all that. I think the good majority of those are random days I'd get upset and just pop a few handfuls of... usually ibuprofen? I mightve tried it with Tylenol as well but 9 times outta 10 we'd usually have more orange pills so it just made sense in my mind

Anyway. Yeah. First time really being 1000% certain about what it'd take. It was kinda scary. Having all the shit just.. lying there. Knowing that it was gonna at the very least cause some actual damage once it was all said and done. It didn't end up mattering anyway. I mean. I'm here 💀💀💀

As far as life updates? Uhh. Well me and R are speaking. Not really but. I at the very least can almost always know she's safe + alive so I'm fine with it for now. I really don't have the energy atp to fight to go back to before her ex dipped

Uhh i think I dipped right before my training really started but today was my first day really doing the job part of it. It was alr. I'm gonna jump ship as soon as I get my preferred place all down pact but for now the only real downsides is A. Having to verbally speak for hours and hours kinda having to throw away my speak-when-spoken-to/tbr... only when needed to keep up with appearances. Hence why 99% of what I say nowadays is just shit I'd expect the person to want to hear. I really want to just get out the conversation as quick as possible for the most part

Side tracked sorry. B. Being that my shit while being pretty easy, is also kinda limited. Like there can fr be someone sitting there boohooing about how they lost all their money in a house fire that killed their whole ass family and blew up all the cars or something and I'd STILL have to ask well is there anyone else I can send the payment to? LOOK so basically. This woman named noreen came in my dms talking bout some omg bro PLEASE if you got it.. spare like $12 I am STRUGGLING. And I'm sitting there like damn... I only just got this $200 my stepmom/dad owed me annd I just paid off all the small debts I had from this lecture money I end up getting from my mom

Long story short, was borrowing and putting back thru cash app borrow so I can slowly increase my borrow limit showing ya know like I'm not gon just spend what I don't have and just leave my shit overdue, tho during that period in April-early May I started blowing through any and all money thinking it wouldn't matter. But my shitty spending habits caught up to me when I not only didn't get as much as I was expecting from this one shit, I also balled out depending on said money with the little I had left somehow someway needing to pay off seemingly 1000 things all at once. I got it mostly under control in right after my middle sister's birthday and now it's back to normal.

Basically I told her the last/less dire parts of that and kinda explained I don't really buy too much of anything with it it's just OLD. When another emergency finally came through and forced my hand as far as spending, it finally came to a head where I didnt have enough to borrow so I could pay it off again. She kinda scolded me for letting it carry on for that long and explained the normal stuff. I didn't really let thst lesson sink in tbh. I know I should've but knowing it was moreso my situations putting me there I just kinda.. nodded along and hoped for the best. I didn't think she'd help me tho

Tho... my dumbass. Ack. I really need to get my spending together. I'm a lot better don't get me wrong. I'm not as huge of a fast food person as I was in the past. I'm not as big on balling out on whatever game I happen to like for the month or two I'm hyperfixated on it. I try to stay within my means even knowing damn well I don't really have anything that i urgently need to pay. Not to say I'm completely dependent, I still have a few things I have to keep up with on my end but I know even if I have $0 in my bank acc, I'll have something to eat and somewhere to rest

Whiiich in the past kinda led to me balling just cause. I won't lie.. seeing me blow through my open house money in a year. That switched INSTANTLY. I always thought it was out of never really getting to have anything new so I thought I'd just get everything I wanted and be okay from there. But going through... soooo much money.. yesh. That sure as hell ain't the only reason

Anyway I bring all that up to say Im kinda shocked that even with that, my dumbass still be shelling out money over nothing at times. I don't get why atp.. The woman dmed me and I asked a few things feeling like I could tell she wasn't a bot or anything.

Then I sent like $20 cause I felt bad for interrogating the poor girl in the first place.

Rhen like a day or two later she asked for 10 (£. Pounds are a little more valuable than usd) and I figure well damn. I even gave her some extra the first time. She must be really desperate. So I gave another $15.

But then TODAYYYY she asked for another 10 and that's about when I started to put two and two together. By that point I had already given bout triple the amount she was initially asking for. I get shit being more costly than you thought but like.. bruh. I just gave her another $15 and said that I couldn't give anymore past that. I was pretty polite about it just incase I am just being paranoid.

But yeah.. I'm out $50 cause I tried to help spme random. I don't really regret it. It's not really like I had anything too too much better to do with that. Plus, at thr end of the day, it's $50. It's a lot yeah but its not life changing or anything. I'd rather possibly get scammed out of some petty money like that than being too paranoid and not helping someone I could so easily help. I still feel like an idiot tho lol

Uhh in my addiction news.. I actually unintentionally broke the cycle for a little. I bought these thc disposables to try and give my stomach a break from all the pills. It had already started back burning from it all and my unaliving situation made it really bad. Though it was only for about a week. Then I started mixing em. I've gone back to my once or twice a day habit now. Currently on about 650. There's a small part of me that's starting to care less and less about my problem. It's just been too much. I cant even try to care atp

I'm pretty much never sober. I smoke during training all the time and I almost always take dph during the night. Sometimes, I'll even take both right before my training. It's one of the perks of working online ig lol. I'm gonna try and start scaling it back some since I now gotta stay pretty normal for calls. Once I memorize scripts annd ain't so nervous I'll probably go back go it but for now I kinda cant

Uh yeah but.. that's bout it. I'm finna take a nap. Shits hitting me harder than I expected and I just smoked a before I hopped on here
