OK. Right. I've sorted my panel photos, which I'll start posting tomorrow (I won't bombard you with them all at once!), so I can get my thoughts straight about yesterday. This is going to be long; sorry! I'll divide it into two parts so that those who want to skip my wittering and just see the pics can.
I hadn't actually thought I'd ever go to a con again; my last one had been back in 2009 and they've got a hell of a lot bigger since then, which sort of puts me off as I don’t really like crowds, and living as I do right down on the south coast they're usually too far away. However, when back at the end of January an ad popped up out of the blue on my Facebook feed informing me that Paul would be appearing at Portsmouth Comic Con (less than ten miles from me) my heart skipped a beat and I started wondering whether I'd be able to go. Of course, there was nothing stopping me but I wasn't keen to go on my own, and I knew my DW-and-anything-else-related-to-scifi-fantasy-etc-hating sister would never agree.
When not long later I saw Sylvester was going to be there as well I mentioned it to my friend P (with whom I’ve attended cons in the past), lamenting that I had no one to go with and not really expecting her to suggest that she try to come down from Manchester so we could go together but to my surprise she did and so the tickets were duly booked. Fast forward to about three weeks ago, unfortunately, and things started to go - literally in this case - off the rails thanks to a driver's strike and then engineering work that meant no trains into Portsmouth for the 11th and 12th and P very reluctantly having to drop out because she wouldn't be able to get down here and back in time for work on Monday. Still wanting to go but not really wanting to do it alone I had no choice but to ask sis to come with me, which she very gamely did and I owe her. Big Time. It’s really not her thing and I know she didn't enjoy it at all. She works in town and made me stand on the outside in the queue in case she saw anyone she knew!
I had been worried about how I was going to react as I do suffer from anxiety and I've not been amongst crowds since before Covid, but much to my surprise I was completely relaxed, even when talking to the guests; I'm obviously long past my 'OMG it's Paul!' phase (thank goodness!) and instead it was a case of 'Oh, yeah, there he is, and Sylv and Sophie (a later addition, and one I'd been hoping for) too.' I don't know whether it's because they're so familiar or I just got used to actors popping in when I worked in a shop near a theatre, but it was easy and I'm so glad! The reflexology session I had in Thursday might have helped keep me calm, too; if you’re feeling tense I recommend it!
I had only previously visited the Guildhall for concerts (sis knows it better as she's had to do presentations to the city council in the past) so it was rather odd to be in there during the day. I have to say that I think they could have put aside more room for the guests as it was difficult to work out who was queuing to see who (ho ho). It was very warm and the setup also made taking photos a bit awkward with people having to dance round each other a bit. We went to see Paul first (of course), and when he clocked me in my NotD cosplay he leaned back, smiled and announced 'It's like lookin' in a mirror!' I honestly can't remember exactly what I said in response to that! Probably nothing that coherent! He asked if I'd made it myself, which gave me a neat opportunity to present the gift I'd made for him: an Eighth Doctor bear and Mr Bush bear.
I think i've wanted to make bears for Paul ever since I put together the first one nearly three years ago, but I never thought I'd get a chance so when I knew I'd be going to the con I started planning. I was originally just going to do the Doctor, and make a Seven bear for Sylvester, but as they were coming to Portsmouth I decided to do Bush as well since I can’t imagine Paul gets a lot of Hornblower-related gifts. Of course, when it was confirmed that Sophie would be there I had to make an Ace bear too and here they all are before I packed them up yesterday morning, sitting on the bags i'd also run up to put them in (not pictured, my terrible embroidery name tags to help me tell who was who):
Tumblr media
I'll do some more detailed posts so you can see them properly another day, but I was so pleased with they way they turned out that it was really hard to give them up! At least I knew they'd be going to good homes!
When I gave Paul the bag he just looked at me in surprise and went 'Is that for me? Can I open it now?' and there was a smile on his face as soon as he saw what was inside. 'That's my career! Doctor Who and Hornblower!' He absolutely loved them, couldn't believe I'd made them and told me 'I have a room where I keep all the gifts I've been given, and these are going to take pride of place.' I couldn't wish for more than that! Well, maybe a photo of him with them but it was busy and I didn't like to ask and possibly hold things up. I hope he's found the alternative Dark Eyes outfit that I added for Eight bear as I had some fabric leftover from my jacket; the sonic for that one took a bit of ingenuity!
He asked about my costume again while we were getting into position (for want of a better term) for a photo and commented that so many people are paying someone to make their cosplays now and spending a hundreds of pounds, something I'd guess he finds quite astonishing given the incredulous look on his face when he said it. I could be wrong, but I got the impression that he likes to see what different fans have come up with; there are a lot of people who seem to be patronising Steven Ricks since Paul got his remade costume last year, which I can understand because the man is a brilliant tailor, but sometimes it must be a bit like seeing clones.
Jen took the photo and we were about to leave it there but then this strangely confident person I found inside me asked Paul a question:
‘Can I be cheeky?’
‘Sure.’
‘Can I give you a hug?’
‘Of course!’
Well, if you don’t ask, you don’t get! (says the woman who hates asking for things in shops) He gives very good hugs. 🥰
I did manage to let him go (it wasn’t easy!) and he thanked me again for the bears before we moved on to see Sophie, which involved going round to join another queue in the same small space. Confusing? Yep!
I don't know who here has met Sophie Aldred but you should because she is so, so lovely. Ace has always been one of my favourite companions and I was so pleased when I saw she would be coming. I'd already started an Ace bear with the intention of giving it to Sylvester with his, but of course that got changed and Sophie was smitten. She looked really closely at it, remarking on the little details - 'Oh, it's even got the plait. And a rucksack and baseball bat!' - and sat it proudly on the corner of her table, where I assume it stayed for some of the day. Apparently it's the best Ace bear she's ever seen - you can't get a better accolade than that! (My head was swelling somewhat by this point, by the way. I don't like to blow my own trumpet but I don't often get so many compliments, and never in such a short space of time, so i hope you can forgive me for including them.)
Last but not least, of course, there was Sylvester, which meant another queue in the same space, which was just daft as because their tables were next to each other you didn't know whether people were waiting for him or for Paul. I'm sure that could have been organised much better than it was. In the same section there were also two chaps who had somethng to do with Star Wars who weren't getting much attention at all which was a bit awkward. They haven't gone back today and I can't blame really them.
I've wanted to meet Sylv for years and he didn’t disappoint. He liked the fabric the bag was made from because its starry night pattern was similar to his waistcoat, which admittedly was why i bought it in the first place. When he got it open and saw what was inside he said 'Oh! I'm a little bear! That’s lovely!’ and when I said I'd made one for Sophie too leaned round trying to see it on Sophie's table. I half wish I'd made a set of both for each of them now but that might have been overkill, and I would have needed a rucksack of my own to transport them all; my bag was full to bursting as it was. Maybe if I see them again I’ll give Sophie a Doctor bear and Sylvester an Ace. As it stands I am so, so pleased that all three of them liked something I'd made so much, and Sylvester and Sophie were both also taken with the cartoons of the Seventh Doctor and Ace that I asked them to sign.
Phew! If you've reached the end of this, well done! I know I have tendency to ramble on and I commend your stamina! I'll put the photos in a separate post but I was one happy camper, especially as just afterwards i got another compliment on my costume and was asked to pose in the TARDIS! We didn't stay the whole day as it was hot, I'd pretty much seen what I wanted to (the Doctor Who 'exhibition' was just a few monster replicas, most of which weren't that good, unlike the really impressive experience they had last year for the 60th and which I would have loved to see. And there were no daleks! My ambition to hug a dalek sadly remains unfulfilled *sniff*) sis had developed a headache, but I'm very glad I went. 😀

mom and dad just came back from their vacation and mom got me & sister notebooks & said ‘it was really hard to decide what to get you’ lol. lmao.
#my ramblings#I think my family in general is really hard to shop for#mom has an eye for quality and shops for brand named goods marked down 80%#(she says she doesn’t want more clutter and would rather focus on buying experiences)#(so all I really gotta do is take her to a show)#dad… is a mystery. likes classical music and has intensely high standards.#I once showed him that orchestral piece by anthony hopkins and he said ‘sounds amateurish’#which technically isn’t wrong since hopkins composed it at 26#but like… damn. clocked.#for his birthday mom’s trying to get us reservations at a fancy restaurant#I don’t think there’s anything I could physically give my dad that’d get any strong emotion#maybe lukewarm appreciation at best#actually I take it back sister’s easy to shop for#something cute related to birds that doesn’t take too much space and wouldn’t be a burden to own#ducks preferred#take her to an aviary#something I’ve been thinking about (sister this is spoilers for the future probably)#is booking some kind of penguin close encounter thing at an aquarium#as for me. there is essentially nothing attainable I want#if I really wanted it I would’ve gotten it.#there’s still some custom beast merch I haven’t made and still some phased-out premium bandai merch I’d consider#if it gets back into circulation#actually I never got the fancy beast shf only the old one#your best bet is probably food. reading my mind.#I could probably make a wishlist tho I have been thinking about buying one of those teapot display stands for displaying figurines#the best gift anyone could give me is hunting down the producer and making him give us permissions to see wise guys

he is leaving you blushing though
you’re probably a vamp so congrats, he’s got eternal dibs!
definitely lays a gentle kiss to your hand when you tell him your name
“I suppose I’ll be seeing you.” he lingers in your presence before slowly walking away

he knows where you live, your next of kin, the bar you frequent
so an accidental bumpings into are already in his workings

just chatting and swapping anecdotes
flirting
he charms you with poems, jewellery and just spending time getting to know you as if he didn’t know everything already
he will flaunt his money around

accidentally
but you know better
and you don’t mind, he’s always looking out for you

when your more comfortable around each other, you don’t hesitate to do it back
a faux shock face from the hybrid
“well, love, I never listed you as the kinky type. I do say, I’m quite impressed.”
get ready for marks
he litters you in hickeys, even if they might fade by the end of the day
he’s going to try
if you’re human he’ll have you wear a vial of his blood around your neck
for emergencies
and a fun conversation for anyone who comes on to you
if he’s in a heated argument discussion with someone, his face will immediately soften when you walk through the door
“hello, love.” a passion induced coma hoods his eyes
will try to protect you from violence and danger but he does know you can handle yourself
“Klaus, I can snap a neck like a motherfucker-”
“I know, darling, but why do that when I can do it for you?”
hours of cuddles
hours
just you in his arms, with his nose nuzzled into you
he’s a softy, really
you get along with his family, it’s a given
Rebekah is literally you’re sister from another mister
shopping sprees with her unlimited credit card
knowing each other’s styles
“How did you know?” She pouts as you hand her a pair of heels that she had been eying up
she’s just overjoyed she actually had a true friend that she can trust
someone she can rely on
you are inseparable
and Klaus is absolutely jealous
“may I please have my girlfriend back, dear sister?” an edge to his tone
“if you must, you annoying rat bastard.”
but you love them
Elijah is eternally grateful for your calmness
and your ability to tame the beast
“I must say, you impress me, Miss L/n.”
you’re utterly baffled
Elijah is not an easy man to impress
but your besties anyway, now 🙄🤚
you often pick up ties that you think would suit him
he smiles and shakes his head
“I do hope you insist on keeping her around, Niklaus.” he uses a low whisper to his brother.
“I don’t assume I’m ever letting her go.”
whilst you have managed to wrap him around your little finger
he won’t hesitate to rip someone’s throat out for touching you
say you’re at a bar
he left for a moment to answer a call, his mistake
he comes back, you’re face filled with discomfort and annoyance as this poor man would not stop verbally harassing you
but that was not enough of an action for you to snap his neck yourself
but as he’s walking towards the bar, he watches as the stranger lets his hand trail down your back until he reaches your-
Klaus has already sped towards him
grabbing his hair and tearing out his throat
his chin, neck and chest are dripping with blood
your surprised at the lack of screams around you, coming to the conclusion that he must have compelled the drinkers to not bat an eye at supernatural goings-on
“are you kidding-”
“sweetheart, don’t get angry-”
“I just got blood stains from last week out of that shirt!”
he pauses his spiel, a blushing smile across his face
you weren’t repulsed by the violent display he’d put on
“have I ever told you how much I love you?”
“on occasion.” you roll your eyes, pulling him in for kiss
the blood coats around your lips but you don’t mind
“I love you too, Nik.”
that was the first time you used such an intimate nickname
and he loved it
hearing such words fall from your mouth
you both get blood drunk nightly
but refusing to feed on kids, because you have some morals
and you push Klaus to erase after eating because why draw attention to himself, he already has a healthy crowd of enemies
and that is where Elijah expresses gratitude
if you ever get kidnapped on that one occasion you were caught off guard
be ready, the cavalry are coming
a crowd of angry originals, breaking down walls and tearing out hearts
“shit! I didn’t know she had all of ‘em at her beck and call-” one of your kidnappers scream, as he watches his cronies drop to the floor
“mate, I advice you shut your mouth, in fact- I’ll do it for you-” queue Kol punching his head from his shoulders, it rolls nicely onto the floor in a pool of blood
they had you on a vervain drip
“oh, love, I’m so sorry.” Klaus is by your side, ripping out the tubes, hugging you close
Kol is your annoying little brother, but mostly a sweetheart to you
you two tend to sneak out together, infiltrating house parties
“if Nik finds us, he’ll kill you!” you scream over the music
“he can try, darling!” he howls with laughter, a bottle of his chosen alcohol spilling down his throat
he does find you
“why in the world, did you think I wouldn’t notice you leaving my side?” he caresses your cheek
“don’t torture him, we just wanted a bit of fun.” you whisper, pressing a kiss to the corner of his mouth
“I suppose you’re right, I have faith in his protection, he loves you like family.” begrudgingly letting Kol off the hook
he has fucked you on every surface in his home
“not on the dinner table, Nik-” Beks
“I eat off that counter, pests.” Kol
“Is it a rule that you have to infect every piece of furniture in our home?” Elijah
*noises of disgust* Finn
*eye roll* Freya
still counting how many public displays he can get away with
he has tied your ex to a chair and made him watch as he gave you orgasm after orgasm
I mean, he murdered him afterwards, so-
“was there any need?”
“yes.”
in his mind, you’re already together forever
he lets you be in possession of one of his daggers, just in case his family give you any problems
“you know I won’t need to use it-”
“just humour me, keep it safe.”
it’s never boring
y’all he’s in love 😻

Hey, sweetie! Could you do something for “Being Harry Potter's twin sister?”. You know... Their whole trajectory, their discovery of Sirius and Remus (who might be her godfather). She has an unusual friendship with Neville and the Weasleys (especially the twins and Fred, who she has a crush on and is fully reciprocated with). Thanks for the attention 🌷.
Being Harry Potter's Twin sister Headcanons:
Paring: Fem!Reader x Brother!Harry Potter, Fem!Reader x Fred Weasley.
Summary: your life as the chosen one's sister.
A/n: so I might split this up with each year. Sorry this took so long and it's not edited.
🧡Master List 🧡Potter MasterList
Tumblr media
So I feel like you and Harry would be totally different, and it might sound stereotypical, but you look like your mom with your dad's eyes.
Also you do have a scar, I looks like Harry's but it's on your wrist.
Most muggles and wizards forget your twins beacuse you look nothing alike.
With Harry I think he trusts adults a little too quick, with the treatment the Dursly's caused I think you'd have major trust issues. You only really trust Harry.
Harry is almost extremely over protective of you and sometimes thinks he's the older brother because he happens to be taller and five minutes older. “you know I'm five minutes older than you, right?”
“why does that bloody matter?”
Harry would do anything to keep you safe from Dudley and the other Dursley, I think Petunia would be harsher on you because you remind her so much of Lily and Dudley just think it's a game to terrioz you.
“keep your hands off her!” Harry shouted and pushed your cousin off you aching body.
People Don't know how relieved you were to get your Hogwarts letter.
Year one:
Like I said before you don't trust people as easy as Harry does, so when Hagrid came to rescue you two you were very reluctant and let Harry do most of the talking.
I'd say the Dursly's treatment causes you to be jumpy and very much aware of your surroundings, meaning you were hiding behind Harry when Hagrid came by.
But you learned to trust him during the trip to Digon Ally, he got Harry an owl and you a Ferrett named Seeley.
You also discovered your wand was related to The 'murder' Sirius Black's wand.
The first person you'd actually meet first is Fred and George, Hagrid had taken you to a candy shop in Digon ally and you both were after the last box of all flavor beans.
“you go ahead” he smiled when he saw you flinch back. “no, you” you respond.
Fred shook his head with a smile and handed you the colorful box. “no, you shouldn't take things from a pretty lady” that made you blush and take the box nervously.
And saved by the bell wizard, Harry called your name. “I got it go... Bye”
He didn't even get your name. Fred watched you run away with hearts in his eyes. George looked at him confused when he saw no candy in his hands.
“Georgie, I think I'm in love” he smiled like an idiot.
George, not knowing how to respond smiled.
When you got to Hogwarts you met Neville Longbottom and Draco Malfoy.
You had found Neville's Toad Trevor and was the one to return him. I think Neville would be star struck with you, your kindness to him and how pretty you were, he definitely had a crush on you immediately.
With Draco he just had infatuation, with Fred and Neville it was actual attraction(Neville more at the time) but with the Blonde Slytherin he saw you as someone he could get back at his parents with. The daughter of Lilly and James, Lucicus hated them and his eyes it would be a perfect opportunity to rebell a little.
You saw right threw him, you may not trust people immediately, but you do like to get to know them before you pass judgment. Draco lost your judgment as soon as he disrespected Ron and the rest of the Weasleys.
“listen you little Ferrett, leave Ron and his family alone”
I don't think the twins would take you being teased lightly, Fred didn't really care what Draco thought about him but him saying something about you or George is usually the last straw.
Anyway, the sorting hat didn't know what house to put you in. He was stuck between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. “your a lot smarter than people give you credit for...your also brave, maybe even braver than your brother”
The hat did consider your feelings, he didn't just put you in Gryffindor because you were afraid to be separated from Harry, he did because he wanted to prove how brave and strong you were.
Gryffindor was ecstatic to have both Potters, especially Fred and George. They both cheered with the rest of their house mates and gave you the empty spot next to them.
With that I think you'd have your own trio, you are very close to Hermione and Ron both, but your defently best friends with the twins.
Your also close with Neville, people might think your a body guard and would even teas him for it, but you actually love Neville company and think he's tougher than he relizes.
Some people might not realize you got on the Quidditch team beofer Harry, you became a Chaser.
During your first game the twins wouldn't leave your side, Fred was afraid you'd get hurt. I think the whole team was considering you were a first year.
Harry's broom was the only one that was supposed to get jinxed but you got in the way. You got swang around like crazy while the twins and Oliver tried to help you. It drove Harry crazy he couldn't help you, but he had his own jinxed broom to deal with too.
Ron and Hermione of course thought it was Snape, but it wasn't. He was concentrated on helping you... Even more than Harry.
You remind him of Lily... like a lot, so I think it would make him less biter towrds you. Yeah it'll hurt him to see you at first, but I think he wouldn't be harsh on you like he is Harry.
During the holiday we know Harry saw your parents in the mirror of erase, but as much as you loved your parents I don't think that's what you saw. You can't change the past, so you just wanted some kind of family. So when you looked in the mirror you saw the Weasleys.
You and the twins had been extremely close, especially Fred. During the holidays Molly sent you a sweater with your initial and Fred got you a paracord bracelet with a heart charm. He and george had matching ones(minus the heart) so at the time it was friendship bracelets.
When you went to see the mirror by your self Professor McGonagall cought you, she really liked you and thought you were a bright student. You don't get to show it much because Hermione always beats you too it.
Speaking of professors and Hogwarts staff, I think Hagrid would help you discover your love for animals and magical creatures. Which ment you were pissed when Draco ragged about Hagrid's baby dragon.
Your love for magical creatures also helps you and the golden trio get passed Fluffy the three headed dog.
You and Hagrid bonded over talking about animals and you guys grew closer because of that.
It still bewilders Ron how you saw innocents in the dog and though he was cute.
You didn't want to go back to the Dursly's, but with the events that transpired this year you were afraid to stay at Hogwarts too, but you couldn't help but love the place, as dangerous as it was it was also safe and full of wonderful people.
Year two:
So for starters I think Doby would annoy the hell out of Harry's sister and I think she would be pissed off he was at the Dursly's warring them instead of Ginny or Hermione or even Colin.
So when you got back from Hogwarts you and Harry did have to share Dudley's second bedroom, it was cramped and always hot, but it was better than living under the staircase.
So, remember when the Dursly's tried to stop Harry from going to the Burow with the Weasley's? Well Harry did get in their little blue Angler, but when he did Vernon grabed you causing Fred to jump through the window and get you.
Molly would be so happy to see you again and even kinda embarrassed Fred. “y/n darling, I'm so glad your hear... Fred hear wouldn't shut up about you all summer”
“mom!” Fred look embarrassed while George was trying to cover his laughter for his brother's sake.
The burow is big but it's also cramped at times, so you and the twins share a room, your best friends and your comfortable with each other. Your just kids right now and there's no dirty thoughts to it just three best friends having a sleep over.
Thoses night Fred found out about your nightmares, George is a heavy but one night you woke up Fred when you were tossing and whimper beacuse of them. You only remember your parents death in your dreams and currently your adventures from last year.
Fred comferted you through out the night. He didn't make you talk about it, just held you. George teased you guys when he woke up the next morning and saw you guy cuddling. You guys let it slide since he didn't know the situation.
But, During your stay I think you'd grow closer to George, your both the quieter of the twins and are usually the followers. You would tell him you hated all the attention being Harry's sister brings.
Fred would get jealous, really jealous but he loves you both too much to bring it up. George knows how much Fred cares about you and your relationship with George is strictly Platonic.
George knows Fred like the back of his hand and he told him that. “you know we're just friends, right? I'd never hurt you like that”
Speaking of friends, since it's ginny's first year you and the twins are all pretty protective, which ment you were about to kick Draco's teath out when he was hassling her at the book shop in Digon ally.
“touch her and it'll be the last thing you ever do”
You also despise Lockheart, You and the twins spend most of the year messing with him. Especially when it comes to quizes about himself.
“my favorite smell isn't the ass of a hairless dog!” Lockheart yelled after reading our answers.
You broke your arm during the Quidditch match where Draco and Harry we're going add it. The people and the teams were too busy watching your brother to realize you got knocked off your broom.
Fred cought you before you could hit the ground and he took you to madam Pomfrey with George and Hagrid's help.
That day you realized since you weren't the chosin one like Harry you weren't that inresting. But that didn't matter to your closest people. To Fred you were the greatest thing to ever enter hogwarts.
He stayed with you the entire time and helped you with assignments till you got better.
You weren't part of this year's adventure. You were too worried about taking care of Ginny and Hermione.
Years 3:
So after the whole blowing up aunt marge incident you went to the Burow(in this universe you go straight there).
You told the twins about aunt Marge and they couldn't stop laughing. You now call it "the incident" and it kinda became inside joke, Ginny getts annoyed with not knowing what it means.
“you keep saying 'the incident'! What doses that mean?”
You did find about Sirius black and that he was Harry's godfather. You would think he'd be yours too but really it was never confirmed since Lilly wanted Remus to be the godfather.
Remus told you about the once playful argument that James and Lily had about that. I think you'd grow really close to Remus.
He's the first adult you trusted immediately. You tell him everything and he becomes the first ever real father figure you've ever had.
Aurther is kinda of a father figure but you don't want to see him that way since your in love with his son.
Anyway, you find out about Remus being a werewolf just beacuse you were wondering around on a full moon, you weren't scared like a normal person should be which suprised him. You promised to never say anything.
It got annoying when Hermione kept asking werewolf questions when she started to have her suspicions.
You were relieved when you found out Sirius didn't actually kill your parents. You found out Sirius was really fun to be around. While Remus was a shoulder to cry on or sortof a body guard, Sirius was c comedic relief and learned how to make you and Harry laugh.
Year 4:
Your fourth year is when Fred and you really started to act on your feelings. When you went to the Quidditch world cup, Fred kissed you after your favorite team won.
Since death eaters showed up it was short lived and you guys didn't really speak of it till later.
You didn't try to get your name in the goblet of fire like your two best friends, nor was your name put in there.
It was bizarre... You wanted to do it just to prove you were just as brave and important as Harry. Fred helped you relize how important and loved you were during the last two summers, but since your name didn't get put in there like Harry's you felt pushed to the side lines again.
Fred was a little bit upset at your mindset. He didn't want you thinking you were useless but he also didn't want you in danger.
“why would you want to! It's dangerous, I don't know what I'd do If you got hurt!”
Then it turned into an argument. “I want to do It because I'm tired of being in his shadow I want to prove I'm just as strong! And why dose it matter if I was in the tournament or not?”
“beacuse I love you! The Wizarding world might not have chosen you but I do... And I know we're just kids but I do know that I love you”
Your heart melt and if felt like all your walls came crashing down. You knew you were important to him, but it finally clicked that you were is first choice from the beginning. No Harry, no chosin crap, he just wanted you.
You had your first real kiss in mouths. A rough but passionate kiss. He poured so mush love and emotion in it, he wanted to prove he wanted you and only you.
Then you became a couple, a few side problems kinda showed up. Hermione and Krum, then you and Neville... He wanted to asks you out so bad but then he finally had the confidence to ask you out he found you and Fred kissing.
You knew when something was bothering Neville, he became stand-offish and wouldn't really talk to you. When he confronted you all his emotions came out. He told you everything and even end his rant that he rather have you as a friend than not having you at all.
“but then I realized our friendship means more to me than anything, I'm happy for you and Fred but I don't want to lose my best friend”
“You won't...”
The Yule Ball was so much fun, you of course went with Fred and everything was perfect.
Having Cedric die was hard, you wernt close to him but having him die made you appreciate you brother again. You two became distant since you felt put on the side lines, but when you thought about Harry dying you couldn't help but cry.
“you and me against the universe” Harry said after you talked about it to him. “I'll always protect you and I'm sorry if you felt like I pushed you away”
Harry really did feel bad, but he felt even worse when he found out about you and Fred. He's been so busy he didn't even know you have a boyfriend for like three months.
He was happy for you both, he trust you'd be treated right and didn't feel like he had to put up an over protective brother facade.
Year 5:
So Remus is defently over protective and put the fear of murlin in Fred, but he knew Fred was a good guy.
You and Fred also worked hard to get Tonks and Remus together. You knew how much he loved her but he wouldn't act upon it.
Also with Voldemort back you were eager to join the order of the Phoenix, even if you weren’t old enough. And you better believe Fred would be right behind you.
“I'm in” you said.
“NO!” Remus and Sirius both said at the same time.
Okay so it's your fith year and Fred's last year, it's kinda of upsetting but it just encourages you guys to make the most of the year.
You love helping the boys sell their products and even help come up with some new ideas.
Rather the product are safe or not your usually the one to sell the product to fellow classmates, especially the females. George says to can sell a drowning man water.
The year was great... Till the pink monster showed up and started changing everything.
She got under Fred's skin like crazy and Umbridge knew it, he didn't really care what she did to him, took away one of his prank toys he doesn't care he'll just make a new one but what he didn't lightly is when you had to endore one of her detentions.
You didn't want the boys knowing or worry Fred and Harry. He accidentally found out when he grabed your soar hand the wrong way.
“I'm gonna end her!”
You had to grabe him and convince him if he did anything he'd get kicked out of school... Which he didn't care.
You knew about them dropping out and you even help plan their excape.
After they left Fred wrote to you almost every day, filling you in about the shop and telling you about the success.
You couldn't be more proud of them and even planed on working there that summer but the end of there made you forget about it.
Sirius had died protecting you, Bellatrix was about to use the same spell on you that she used on Mr. And mrs. Longbottom. Neville tried to protect you but Sirius bet him to it the only cost was his life.
During the summer you mostly stayed with the twins and worked at the shop, things got better and Fred worked hard to cheer you up.
He loves spending most of his time with you and doesn't really care if people see.
“your not supposed to get handsy with the staff” you joked.
“I won't tell if you want”
Year 6:
Not Much happened... That concerned you at least. You spent most of your year hanging out with Neville and Luna.
Harry and the other two were to busy worrying about Draco and you just didn't have the energy to care.
You quite the Quidditch team after an acadent last year so you usually helped Luna or who ever narrat the game.
You did worry about Draco though, he looked so alone and no one really cared, all Harry cared about was proving he was doing something wrong.
He grew so much respect for you when you found him crying, you didn't judge him like he expected... Just let him cry.
You filled Fred and George in about the closet stuff and how the school is going down hill.
After the school year you went home with the twins after Dumbledore's funeral, as awful as it might sound you weren't too affected by his death. You felt like Dumbledore never really cared about you or your brother.
Year 7:
So you spent most of the Summer paining and decorating for Billy's wedding, it was a good distraction.
During the battle of the seven Harry's George protected you because the death eaters would expect you to be with Fred, George got his ear blown off because he was protecting you.
After the wedding got ambushed you ended up going with the golden trio, Fred tried to go after you but Charlie stoped him I'm fear for his brother.
You spent most of the time listing to the radio with Ron, making sure George or Fred's name isn't mentioned.
During the battle of Hogwarts the twins didn't leave your side.
“you okay freddie? Y/n?” George asked.
“I'm scared” you admitted. Fred pulled you to his side and held you while George held your free hand. “I won't let anything hurt you”
When things got really heated during the battle you got separated from the two, you and George ended up meeting up in what used to be the charms room.
You started to panic when you didn't see Fred. “Wait, where's fred”
George couldn't stop you and ran in search for him, before you could even register what was happening Fred shielded you from a killing curse.
Even if your brother won the battle you lost the love of your life, you didn't really want to see anyone except George and even that hurt... Looking at his face and seeing the same eyes and freckles.
George promised if anything happens to Fred he'd make sure you'd be alright.
Super mega happy ending:
So if you chose this ending Fred didn't die, you guys got betten up but that's all.
A year later you guys got married and you worked as the care of magical creatures professor at the school, during the summer you worked with your husband and brother-in-law.
You had twins, a boy and a girl. Fred cried when he found out you'd he having twins.
George and Angelina were of course the god parents.
You are very protective of your kids, always making sure they're okay and on the anniversary of your parents death your twins sleep with you.
Your daughter is just like Fred, a total minnis in the best way possible, your son is the quieter one... Much like you and George.
Your twins joined the Quidditch team and got sorted into Gryffindor like every other Potter and Weasley.
You couldn't be more happy or proud of your family.

Take my heart with you
Kaiser x fem!reader♡
Summary: you're the itoshi brothers' little sister, what could go wrong if you secretly dated kaiser?
Warning: the itoshi brothers hate each other but if anyone hit on their sister they team up rq, fluff to Angst. Kaiser being a sweetheart. Rin being the better brother🔥🙌. I PROMISE IT GETS BETTER AT THE END plS I SWEAR. Kaiser professing his love for reader in the most poetic way possible 🙌 possibly OOC but we dc
A/n: this is so stupid. Let's pretend they actually understand each other 💀💀💀. I swear I tried and I really love those old Rin, Sae and reader sibling hcs or chat fics i used to see on tumblr and i was like how about i add my own twist but reader dating kaiser.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
You sneaked out of the house to go on a date with Kaiser. What could go wrong?
Answer: Everything.
You arrive at the restaurant, patiently waiting for Kaiser until you feel a hand on your shoulder, flinching by surprise.
"Shall we?"
"Y-yeah…"
Michael Kaiser who treats you like a gentleman for the entire night and spoils you, getting you anything you wanted in the restaurant.
"I kinda want macaroons but it's kinda expensive—", you say, complaining to Kaiser about the prices but a waitress walks to your table and you hear him whispering something to the waiter.
"Yes, madam we'll order some macaroons"
"What."
Michael Kaiser who surprises you with a Birkin bag for your 1 year anniversary, you're still surprised Sae and Rin haven't found out about the relationship.
"I— how am I supposed to explain to my brothers I randomly got a Birkin???"
"Easy, just tell them we're dating, it's not like anything bad is going to happen" Kaiser rolls his eyes thinking what could go wrong if your two brothers found out you're dating their rival.
Michael Kaiser who wears an awkward disguise but it surprisingly works well. Though you can't help but stare at him, his eye glasses accentuate his already good looks.
"Staring at me, schatz?" He teases, intertwining both your hands as you two enjoy the scenery in front of you.
You'd be lying if you said he didn't look good in those glasses, "W-well… the glasses suit you." Shyly looking away. The two of you have been dating for a year now but you still stutter and stumble when you're caught by surprise by him again and again.
"I know" he says confidently while pushing away your bangs to place a chaste kiss on your forehead.
Michael Kaiser who takes off his disguise and leads you two in a quiet area with no other person other than you two.
"You know if I had the chance to turn back time to fix my past I wouldn't change a single thing." He chuckles before pulling you closer to him by the waist.
You raise an eyebrow, not knowing what he meant. "Huh?" He leaned down to your level, holding you close and lips inches apart from each other.
"Because if I changed something then there's a chance I wouldn't be able to meet you, I'd rather go through that pain as a young footballer rather than live my life not meeting you." He whispered, smirking at your reaction. How could he say that so casually and expect you to act normal.
Michael Kaiser who takes you shopping and promises to take you out on another date like this.
"Kaiser, I don't wanna go home yet" you muttered quietly, hugging him as he patted your back.
Kaiser smiles at you, pulling away so he can cup your face with both his hands. "I know." He pulled you into a deep kiss before your phone rang and interrupted your moment.
Your eyes widen at the contact number.
"Oh shit it's my brothers… should I check the message?"
"Its okay go ahead"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kaiser reads the chats with you, absolutely baffled by the brothers' efforts to stalk you.
"What the fuck." You both hear behind you, it was Sae's voice.
"I swear I can explain!" Yelling at the two but it's no use when they glared daggers at you and Kaiser.
Tumblr media
Sae forced the two of you to ride back home, talking sternly to Kaiser while driving; Rin is still mad at the betrayal but he won't admit it.
"How long have you been seeing my sister?" Sae demanded an answer, still pissed for 3 reasons.
1. Not telling Sae you're seeing someone (he just wants to keep you safe)
2. You dating Kaiser (Sae and Rin absolutely do not trust that man)
3. The traffic
Kaiser gulps, looking back at you and looking back at Sae, never had he imagined meeting your brothers face to face again like this.
"Since last year"
"What." Rin felt his eye twitch, his nerves popping out of anger and confusion.
You hold your boyfriend's hand nervously, the atmosphere is so dreary it feels like your skin is getting grated every second from the anxiety prickling at your skin.
"You're gonna fucking use my sister and leave her crying like shit after you're done with her? The fuck do you want with her?"
"R-rin— that's enough…"
"I'm not done yet."
Tumblr media
Kaiser entered the Itoshi household, he knew if he chickened out or shit the brothers would never approve of him. He took his shoes off and wore the slippers you offered him, you and Kaiser sit down at the couch and it's already making you uncomfortable.
"Listen here you German shit." Sae snarls at him, Kaiser has met Sae and Rin before and used to piss the two daily at blue lock, now he regrets ever doing it because it ruined his chances of getting along with his future brother-in-laws.
Anyone could tell Sae was pissed as hell, venom seethed from his throat and he swears if he could just smash the living shit out of Kaiser he would.
On the other hand though, Rin is absolutely avoiding your gaze. He's madder than Sae because he feels like he failed as your brother. That he wasn't good enough for you to share your secret with him.
"If you break my sister's heart I'll break your limbs at the next world cup. You hear me?" The eldest brother glaring down at Kaiser, if looks could kill Kaiser would've already been dead.
"And you." Gulping as you stare at the ground when Sae mentions you, hoping that this'll all end.
"Why the fuck did you think it's a good idea to hide a relationship like this for so long?"
"Because I knew you'd blow up like this— you're always so overprotective yet you were never here with me and Rin!" The two of you went at it, insults and insults, uneasiness filling the gaps of each corner. "What the fuck do you mean never here? I was working my ass off in spain to chase my dreams- to make you and Rin's life fucking easier!"
"I never asked you to do that for me! You're the worst person ever, I wish you weren't my brother." It accidentally slips out and Sae's eyes widen. When you look back at him you could see his breathing become uneven— that look in his eyes. The look of betrayal and guilt. He was taken aback at your reply.
You burst into tears before taking Kaiser's hand, pulling him out of the Living room and going outside.
"Michael lets go." You mumbled, it was freezing but none of it mattered. Tying your shoes before taking your shit with you.
Kaiser feels like needles were stabbing his chest, it felt like it was his fault that your relationship with your brothers strained even further— if it ever existed in the first place.
He says nothing as he watches you pathetically cry and run away from the household, catching up to you while pulling you closer to him.
"Shhh it's okay, breathe."
Kaiser rubbed circles on your back as you hyperventilated; tears streaming down your cheeks as you hugged him, looking for the comfort you could never find in anyone else but him.
"I-it's all my fault— I'm sorry for dragging you into this.."
"Breathe," he raised your chin, making you stare at him. It pained him to see you breaking down in his arms like this, "Breathe in and out, it's gonna be okay."
The two of you walk to a nearby playground, hand in hand as you two sit on the swings. Kaiser looks over to you… confusion, pity and sadness coming to him all at once. Maybe it was right that he should've left you alone when you first mentioned that you were an Itoshi.
"I'm sorry… I didn't expect it to go this way— I really am sorry." Sobbing as you hugged your legs together and cried onto your knees.
Kaiser only stares at you. His mouth goes dry as his mouth was left agape, his mind racing and he wants to say something but he doesn't know the right words that he should say. He could make you feel much worse and he didn't want to add to your stress so he kept quiet.
You two stay at the playground for hours until you hear footsteps slowly coming closer.
"Go home now, please."
Your eyes were dead, tugging onto your shirt as you shivered in both anxiety and from the cold weather. "R-rin?"
Rin looks over to you then Kaiser, feeling guilt. He should've said something earlier but he's always been a coward, always been a bad brother.
"Let's go home and eat dinner. You're hungry and you Kaiser… let's talk privately later." Rin's voice was hoarse, you could tell he's been crying. You nod and stand up, walking back home with Rin as Kaiser follows behind you two.
You three entered the house quietly, making sure to not disturb Sae. Rin looks down at the cold soup he made earlier, picking it up and reheating it while you and Kaiser wait at the dining table.
"Here… beef stew." Rin places the bowl down, preparing the dinner table. You watch Rin do all the work, you tried to help him but he refused. You could tell he was trying to ease the atmosphere. "So… when did you meet my sister.?" He asked, Rin was too ashamed to look any of you in the eye.
"I met her at the Blue Lock party a year ago then…" Kaiser pauses, looking over to you for affirmation as you nod at him, "We hit it off and she was nice, we exchanged numbers and we went on a date. She mentioned she was an Itoshi and I got nervous." He continued before taking a bite of the beef.
"Oh." Rin replied, it was awkward for everyone at the dining table. Just the clanking of the utensils against their own plates and whirring sound of the electric fan can be heard. But it's better than the deafening noise of continuous fighting with Sae.
"I know we fought a lot at the world cup and Blue lock but I'm willing to put that aside for my sister." Rin trails off. Rin was never good with words but he knew if he can't make amends with your lover then he'd hurt you in the process.
Kaiser takes a deep breath, his hands still clammy and sweaty. "I— me too."
You only watch the awkward interaction between the two, you were glad they were slowly starting to get along.
"Kaiser." Rin looks over to Kaiser and they stare at each other, but it wasn't hatred in their eyes, just regret.
"Promise me you won't break my sister's heart?" Your brother asked with desperation in his voice, you're the only one he had left and he couldn't and wouldn't bear to see you heartbroken. The first he's ever seen you heartbroken was when Sae came back from spain and abandoned you two. He doesn't want to see you break down over anything— anyone, ever again.
"I would never. I've known her all my life." The two Itoshis raised an eyebrow at his bold declaration.
"When I was a child I would pick flowers off the neighbor's lawn and imagine myself giving it to the girl I would love. When I grew older I would take pictures of breathtaking sceneries and hope that maybe I could bring my soon to be lover to those places again. When I got my first check I saved enough because I hoped to god I could meet the love of my life and spoil them with everything I have." Kaiser stares down at his plate, trying to avoid their gazes but he then looks Rin straight in the eye, his eyes brimming with a fiery determination Rin swore he only ever saw from other football players when their vision narrows on the ball, like an adrenaline rush.
"And I'm sure I've known her all my life and I'll spend my life meeting and learning to love her over and over again— so please. Let me be with her. I won't ever hurt her, if I ever did I would stop playing football because I dedicated my goals just for her. If I kicked and rolled the ball without meaning I'd rather not play it at all."
Rin's always loathed Bastard München's ace, Kaiser. But he feels his heart soften at his persistence to be with his sister. Never in his life has he seen a man so dedicated to ever go after his sister. Rin hates Kaiser for sure but he promised to put their past behind just for her.
"Alright… I'll let you have my sister but… keep your promise. She's the only one I have."
Your eyes soften at the scene unfolding Infront of you, happy that the two most important people in your life are getting along but there's one person left, Sae.
You all finish eating then helping Rin clean up the table. In the corners of your eye you noticed Kaiser wiping the table. "K-kaiser you dont have to!"
"It's nothing."
"W-well… I'm gonna go upstairs and uh get my stuff…" you gave a weak smile to the two, slowly walking up the stairs to talk to Sae.
The lights were dimmed and Sae wasn't in his room. Almost stepping on a sock you looked over to Sae, he was sitting down on the staircase; his hair messy and his eyes puffy.
"What do you want?" Aggression and hostility in his voice, he looked up to you. A few hours ago at the fight, Sae was beyond pissed at you but now… he looked broken, as if he realized something.

Thinking about a coffee shop au where Steve works at Joyce’s coffee shop and I’m ngl It’s a little unhinged.
So Steve stays working at Joyce’s coffee shop, and when he starts he learns one of the resident regulars is a young pre teen girl named Max. She never orders anything, she just comes in, waves to whoever’s working (says “hi Jon” and “hey Joyce” by name but doesn’t seem to know the rest of the baristas like that), and sits herself down at a small table and starts her schoolwork.
By the second time Steve sees her and sees (what he realizes is a daily routine) Joyce bring her either some fruity sweet iced tea lemonade concoction, a matcha, a chai latte, or a mocha and give her a kiss on the cheek, he understands there’s some kind of relationship there. Which is confirmed when he watches Jonathan go sit beside her on his break and crack jokes, catching up with her (and bring her a snickerdoodle) the second time he sees her.
And he knows Joyce’s 3 kids, will, Jonathan and el. By name by story by photo. So he knows this isn’t Joyce’s kid.
So he asks Robin, one of his new co workers he’s become fast friends with.
And so he’s slowly filled in.
“The red head- Oh, max! Yeah. She’s Billy’s sister”
“Who the fuck is Billy?” Steve asks, even more lost. They don’t work with a ‘Billy’.
Robins eyes look uneasy, before they come back.
“Okay, so max is el- you know Joyce’s girl- els best friend. Her older brother is a guy named Billy”
Steve’s even more confused. Joyce’s younger kids- the twins- don’t spend much time in the shop. So why does Els friend hang out here? Well-
“Well, billy works a lot. He’s in college-the one a few blocks away- and he has a full time job and he has a part time job on the weekends and sometiems he even helps out here if joyce needs it, so he’s really busy and not home alot. And because Billy’s a broke college kid with a kid to raise he’s pretty broke so they don’t live in like, the best part of town. So Billy worry’s about her being home alone all afternoon. Sooo she comes here after school. Usually billy picks her up, sometimes Joyce takes her home, but she’s a really good kid. She stays here just so joyce can keep an eye on her and give Billy some peace of mind.”
Steve’s still confused. “Okay… but like where’s their parents? Weird situation don’t you think?”
That uneasy look is back.
“So um. Billy’s actually her step brother, ex step brother? I don’t know. But he’s got full legal guardianship and custody of her at this point and that’s the big thing that matters. Maxs mom kinda fucked off and started drinking herself to death, and Billy’s dad-“.
Robin took a deep breath. “He’s serving a few decades for domestic violence, domestic abuse, child abuse, battery and attempted homicide charges. Most of that shit on billy.”.
Him and max don’t really talk to much. It’s not that he has beef with a 12 year old he just doesn’t know her. And it would be kinda weird to go around making friends with little girls.
But one day he’s making a grilled cheese in the back, and he turns around to green eyes boring into his soul.
“Hey max. You okay?”
“Yeah. Whatcha making? It smells good?”
Steve chuckled.
“Mozzarella, Swiss, bacon and cheddar on sourdough. Fancy grilled cheese. Do you want half?”
And her eyes light up.
“Really?”
“Yeah, of corse”.
And just like that Steve is her best friend. And he makes her a sandwich every day. He understands joyce and Jonathan now. It’s very easy to just adore this sweet kid.
And when els around?
They’re the cutest thing. Young, 12 year old puppy love. It’s the cutest thing on earth. Just all giggles and smiles.
But it takes months for Steve to meet Billy. Usually he either clocks out before Billy arrives (and he now says goodbye to max by name) or when he closes it happens to be Joyce’s nights bringing her home.
So when he first meets Billy, he simply doesn’t know he’s meeting Billy.
A gorgeous, but exhausted looking fella comes in one evening, Steve’s breath is taken away.
“Hey”
“Hey”
“Can I get an americano with a pump of caramel and an extra shot”.
Steve nods. “Any dairy?” “Still have oat milk or out for the day?”
Steve looks in the fridge. “You’re in luck, handsome”
The man looks up with surprised blush.
“Anything else?”
“That’s it. What I owe ya?”
“Don’t worry about it” Steve winks.
“I told Joyce to stop doing this; she does too much for us” the pretty man chuckles and sighs and a moment of confusion hangs before Steve’s eyes light up.
Joyce? He knows- us? Too much for- oh-
“Oh my god! You’re Billy-“
And Billy looks confused. “Maxs brother, yeah? “
“Yeah yeah that’s me. Um-“
“Sorry- sorry had no idea. Sorry wasn’t a joyce coffee on the house thing that was me trying to flirt with you. I’m sorry-“
“Don’t be sorry- you were hitting on me?”
They’re both taken away from the conversation by maxs voice as the girl walks out of the bathroom.
“Billy?” “Hey shortstack” he greets, welcoming her hug. Or her flinging herself onto his back. Oh. Aww.
“What are you doing here?”
“Night class got canceled, figured I’d come getcha as a little surprise and we’d have a girls night, some scary movies anddddd some Mac and cheese?”.
And it’s kinda sweet, you know. Billy’s canceled class was clearly a surprise. To max and Joyce too. He coulda taken the night for himself. Go to a bar, a club.
But he’d rather have quality family time with his kiddo.
Steve’s a goner. He knew from those big blonde curls the second they walked in the door but now he really knows.

Unite | Ichigo Kurosaki x Reader |
author's note: this is a follow up to the ichigo x reader blurb i wrote, which you can read here. i decided i couldn't leave it on that angsty note!
pairing: ichigo kurosaki x fem!reader
warnings: reconciliation, light jealousy
Tumblr media
Your captain unceremoniously lays a cloak before you, and you hear the sounds of his sister and lieutenant arguing a short distance away. Frowning and gazing up at the man, you take the beige cloak in hand. "Captain?"
"The sands of Hueco Mundo are harsh." He murmurs, turning away to leave as quickly as he came.
The gears in your head turn, and faster than your mind can process things, your body is moving and snatching your zanpakutō up. Ichigo, that idiot... He's traveling to save Orihime in a land he doesn't know, and likely alone! What a stupid man... He just can't sit still for a single moment.
But hell, you're just as much of an idiot for running after him, aren't you?
Rukia and Renji pause their squabble as you meet them outside, each of them draped in similar cloaks to the one Byakuya left you. Surely your captain knew what they would do, but why would he include you in such a heist?
"He says he was only ordered to bring us back to Soul Society." Rukia murmurs, her eyes gazing at you with an expression you can't quite read.
Renji's face, however, is much less made for gambling. He's your lieutenant, after all, and you have the utmost respect for him, but he's just about as dumb as that man that you love. A stupid smirk is spread on his lips and he wiggles those oddly-styled brows of his. "Time to go make up with-"
"Renji!" Rukia barks, delivering a solid strike of her elbow into the taller man's side.
"I'll help save the girl." You murmur to yourself, looking away from the two people your captain trusts the most. "And that's all."
Rukia's eyes are soft, her lips pulled in a soft little pout. It hasn't been too long since you returned home, without Ichigo, and it was actually Renji that was able to get the details of what happened before her older brother finally retrieved you. "Tensions have been high, and things said and done under duress aren't always indicative of one's heart."
"We should hurry before he can get too far ahead." Voice flat, it gives away little of what's on your mind. "Lest his rescue mission become one for himself."
But Renji knows you, the third seat of the Sixth Division, very well. He nudges Rukia when she opens her mouth to speak, shaking his head minutely. You'll work through your emotions and tension with Ichigo later— Orihime's the priority now, for everyone.
"Let's go." The words have hardly left Renji's mouth before you're racing for the gates out of Soul Society, your mastery of Shunpo perhaps better than your very own captain's. And though Renji feels sluggish in comparison even with his more than adequate skill in the flash step, the soft raise of his smirking lips gives way to his pride in you. Certainly, he can trust you with his life.
The thump of an anxious heart simmers below your chest, the speed of the hammering increasing as you get closer to journeying into Hueco Mundo. You've never been there yourself, and it's no doubt crawling with Hollows and things even worse than them. Aizen is there, the traitor, and he's got Ichigo's friend.
Shame floods your cheeks with warmth. What the hell were you thinking, giving Ichigo an ultimatum like that? That was a terrible way to act, a horrid display of your jealousy and anger at a woman that would have Ichigo if he wanted her. He chose you once already, and it just wasn't enough for you in that moment. Why wasn't it enough?
Urahara hums when you arrive, almost as if he'd been expecting you all. And with his easy sense of what's coming and how to prepare for it, he's probably been left wondering what took so long.
"So…" The shop-owner flashes a smile full of teeth. "Do you need something?"
Tumblr media
Your captain was right to give you this cloak, you learn quickly. Hueco Mundo is worse than any desert terrain you've ventured into, which in itself is on the limited side of things. The entire valley feels like a void, a nightmare dimension that's ready to kill you at any moment.
"Scared?" Renji teases with an elbow to your side, receiving a harsh glare in return. This may not be an official mission or anything, but he is still your lieutenant.
He's skating on thin ice, however.
"This is a suicide mission." You mutter bitterly, gazing at the empty void surrounding you. The journey here was already freaky, but actually being in here is something else entirely. "We should've come up with a plan."
"This is the plan!" Renji argues, hand on his hip while his other firmly grasps the hilt of his zanpakutō.
"No, this is not a plan!" You reel on him harshly, anger fueling your body all over again.
This will get you all killed, including the girl you all came to save! Surely with just a little bit more time and effort, a plan within Soul Society could have been formulated and you could've come as a unit. What good is this idea of a mission if you're all dead??
You shudder to think what you'd have done had Ichigo come here and died while you remained safe at home.
He better shudder to think what you'll do to him when you finally get your hands on him for this next level of foolish bravery.
"We should've waited, or worked faster, or something other than this! Do any of us have any idea what the hell we're doing?!"
Renji steels himself, face stern as he allows you to unleash your frustration. "When have you ever known us to make a plan? When, in our line of duty, have we stopped and thought about it clearly? When, and I ask this genuinely, have we ever had the time to do anything but rush in and make it up as we go?"
Rukia steps forward, her hand out to be the more gentle side of your lieutenant's scolding. "If we remain strong together, this will all work out in the end. We don't have much time right now; the more we linger, the further Ichigo gets."
You huff and gaze into the endless void of white sand. "My head feels like it's swimming in here."
"It's definitely unnerving." Rukia murmurs, taking in the sights.
A particular strike slashes your heart, anxiety and fear crawling out slowly as you sense a harsh rise in Reiatsu. Renji and Rukia feel it too, and off you all go towards Ichigo's presence in Hueco Mundo. It's him, it's always him with that sloppy spiritual pressure of his. Rukia's the first to attack, her beautiful zanpakutō easily demolishing the sandy Hollow.
The course of the fight is honestly second in importance to you as your eyes zero in on him. It's in his eyes, the warm amber hue so beautiful in this horrible place. He's surprised, made so obvious by the dumb look on his face, and your breast is giddy and full as the gap is closed and you're in his arms again.
Tears flood his chest as you hide your face against him. "Ichigo, I'm—"
"Shh…" Ichigo's hands hold you so gently as his lips find your cheek for a gentle, quick kiss before he murmurs directly to you in a way the others can't hear, though to their credit they've turned their backs on your private moment. "It's okay. I'm not mad. It's okay."
Turning your head to gaze at him, you find the courage to smile softly as you brush a new tear away, Ichigo's lips and eyes offering all the warmth and love in his heart to you, just as always. Hugging you tightly again, Ichigo closes his eyes. "I knew you'd come. If nobody else would, you would."
"You trusted that even after…?"
Ichigo holds your face carefully, like the finest china that will break at just the slightest mistouch. "It'll take more than that to make me lose faith in you. A lot more."
Ichigo dips down for an all-too-brief kiss, one that only promises more to come at a better time. He's certainly missed you as much as you missed him, and your sweet love has always been sure to get his fill of you when he can.
"Alright, lovebirds!" Renji calls over his shoulder, but the little smirk on his face betrays any sense of irritation he tries to force out. "We've got a job to do, y’know!”
“And you're waiting for someone else to lead the way?” Ichigo fires back, and even as they squabble during the journey through these unforgiving sands, Ichigo's large hand holding yours is all it takes for peace to settle within you again.
United, you'll stand.

Strange Christmas Family Swap
Christmas is supposed to be the time of year where you celebrate joy with your family and loved ones. But everyone has that one family member no one looks forward to seeing, and I’m no different. For me that person would be my grandpa. He'd always been a really cranky guy who, I swear, could find something to complain about on literally any topic. I don't know why he even comes over for the holidays in the first place. Maybe he's just lonely? At least my siblings are coming home. They're all older than me and left for college years ago. Sometimes I felt like I was behind everyone just because I was the youngest, but they always tell me to enjoy being young while it lasted. At least I still had my dog, Lucy, to keep me company.
Tumblr media
“Shoot. Ferris, we forgot to buy your grandpa a present,” my mom mentioned while preparing dinner for Christmas Eve.
“Does it matter? He's not gonna like anything anyway.”
“Yes I know. But it's Christmas. The time of year where you need to treat even those you dislike well. Could you quickly go to that gift shop and buy some cheap ornament?”
“Mom, it's Christmas Eve! Half these places are closed or closing soon.” She looked up a store on her phone and showed me that it closed at 5. It was 4:38.
“There's that one hallmark store within walking distance still open. You can make it in time! I just don't want to cause a scene.” I wanted to take the car, but it would take too long to shovel all the snow, so I walked. The store wasn't that far by foot, but it was still an awful time in the freezing cold. When I arrived, there was a single employee at the counter - an old lady with a messy bun. She greeted me and asked what I needed.
“I have just the thing.” She walked over to the shelf and showed me a little Santa ornament that was wearing a galaxy pattern suit instead of the regular red. It was actually a pretty good gift because my grandpa loved outer space, not to mention he kinda looked like Santa anyway, just without the beard.
“This is perfect.”
“Then why do you look sad?” Her response caught me by surprise. “What do you mean?”
“I can tell something’s wrong. It's Christmas Eve. You should be happy!”
“That's probably easy for others. But for me, Christmas means family time and I don't exactly like someone in my family.
“That's a shame. You're lucky to have a family at least.” She looked down at the floor sadly. It was clear what she meant by that.
“But since you still have people in your life I'd like to help you with your problem. Could I have that ornament back please?” I assumed she was about to check me out so I started reaching for my wallet, when she walked into the backroom with the present instead. As soon as the door closed, the power suddenly went out and I was in pure darkness until there was a weird purple glow coming from the door. All of this only lasted about 10 seconds and the power came back on as if nothing happened. Did I just imagine that whole thing? It was weird. The woman walked back out with a big smile on her face.
“Did the power go out or something? And what happened in there?”
“Oh nothing,” she said with a grin. “Merry Christmas!”
“Yeah, Merry Christmas. I guess.” She checked me out and I was on my way back home.
When I arrived, my siblings were already there, as well as my grandpa.
“Hey! It's Ferris!” said my oldest brother Calvin. He had definitely gained a lot of weight since I last saw him, even though he was an athlete in college. Looks like he still refused to shave the messy beard he started last year. My older sibling Sam grinned at me. They looked exactly as they always did - expressing their love of anime with a nerdy t-shirt and wearing ear gauges that have gotten bigger since the last time I saw them. My sister Em walked up to hug me. She was always the one I was closest with, since she was only 2 years older than me.
“I got a present for Grandpa.” He suddenly looked at me, and then to the bag I was holding.
Tumblr media
“It's about time you buy me something! Lemme see.”
“Well not until Christmas.” Despite living to see many Christmases, Grandpa was still an extremely impatient person. He'd actually opened up his Christmas presents early before because he just couldn't stand the wait. This was my first time buying one myself for him (even though it was really just my mom sending me) so I guess he was beyond curious.
“Come on. It's basically Christmas anyway.” He got his large ass out of the seat and approached me. He was wearing a tucked in blue plaid shirt that covered the gut hanging over his pants. He stumbled over to me until we were face to face. I could smell the cigarette smoke on his breath, almost making my eyes water.
“Boy, give me the gift.”
“Dad, just wait until Christmas. You're gonna spoil the surprise.” My mom thankfully defended me and started walking over.
“Fine, but I-” He faked content and snatched the bag from me.
“Dad! Enough!” My mom shouted but it was too late. He had taken the ornament out of the bag, but clumsily dropped it. It shattered all over the floor before he even had a chance to react.
“Oh man.” Sam gulped.
“Now look at what you've done! You ruined my present!” Grandpa yelled in my face.
“Dad! Dad! Calm down. I think you need to go to bed now.”
“Fine! But only because your idiot son ruined my Christmas!” My mom escorted him to the guest room and Em picked up a broom. We both swept together as my mom walked back into the kitchen.
“Could he possibly be more…you know…” I started.
“Horrible? Pathetic?” Calvin added.
“Gross? Nasty?” Sam added.
“Your grandfather is just lonely really. His parents - my grandparents - let him do whatever he wanted. He's a real spoiled man. But I don't think there's any changing him now so let's just endure the day tomorrow and you won't have to see him for a while. Got it?”
“Fine.” The rest of the night was much better and I had a great time with my family. Calvin scarfed down the food so fast he almost choked, Em told me all about what college was like, Sam bragged about his new gauges, and Lucy practically flew under the table as soon as my mom dropped a piece of ham.
When it was time for bed, my siblings got settled into their rooms - Calvin and Sam sharing the same bedroom they did growing up, and Em sleeping in the basement because her old room was turned into an office. I looked at the Christmas tree glimmering with lights and decorations, excited to see what the presents underneath it would look like in the morning. It's a shame that Grandpa's present broke and we had to throw it away, but I guess he got what he deserved for being such a dick. I headed into my bed, where Lucy was already snuggled up in, and nestled up under the covers.
The next morning I woke up to the sounds of shouting, which was unfitting for what was supposed to be a peaceful Christmas morning. It was coming from the room next to me and sounded like my brothers, which was weird because my room was across the hall from them. But it sounded so close. I started getting up, to see what was going on, but when I looked around, I realized I actually was in the guest room
How did I get in here? I gazed down to find my stomach seemed swollen in my white tank top. I lifted it up and to my horror, I realized my slim chest was replaced with a flabby belly! How did I get so fat? I know I ate alot last night but this was ridiculous! The gut flopped out, to a bit over my waist. It felt weird knowing a part of my body was just hanging there. I noticed a bit of chest hair, which was foreign to me, but when I noticed they were gray hairs, it finally hit me. I was a fat old guy in the guest room. I somehow switched bodies with my grandpa!
I heard the voices leave the room so I stumbled over to the door, not quite used to the shift in weight compared to my old twink body, and was about to put my hand on the doorknob when I saw someone looking at me in the mirror. I turned my head to find that it was my grandpa…I mean me…staring back.
Tumblr media
I really did look disgusting, not just because of my looks, but because I now had the face of an impatient jerk. I tried doing different facial expressions; it looked weird because I rarely had ever seen my grandpa smile at all. I noticed that I couldn't see my own dick past the belly, not that I would want to. It was probably all wrinkly and gross! What was I going to do? I opened the door to find Calvin walking to the living room. He looked pretty concerned, which was unusual for the carefree personality he usually had.
“Hey uh..Grandpa?” Fuck. Looks like I'm not imagining it after all. I hated this. “Sorry for the noise, it's just that…”
“I'm not even gonna try to pretend.” I spoke, but my voice came out gravelly and deep. It scared me a little bit. “I'm Ferris, not Grandpa. I don't know how it happened! I just-”
“Shit! That's great! I mean not because you're Grandpa now. But because I'm not alone! I'm actually Sam.”
“Sam?” It was actually kinda funny, Sam and Calvin switching bodies. They were close but still completely different people. I couldn't contain my laughter and started giggling, even though it came out as my Grandpa's gruff wheezes.
“Oh sure. I'M the funny one when Mister-wheeze-a-lot can't laugh without sounding like he's dying.”
“Hey! Well Mister-” I stopped myself trying to continue the joke. “Wait, how does that work?”
“The gender is all up to the person. Sure the…” they stared down at the new extra pounds they now carried and shook their belly. “...expression might be different, at least at the moment, but I'm still me. BUT the idiot who looks like me doesn't seem to understand.” As if on cue, Calvin in Sam's body appeared, walking in a macho way, something that Sam would never do.
“Check it out Grandpa! I'm an enby!” Sam gave a huge facepalm.
“Calvin my sweet brother, We. Have. Been. Over. This.”
“Hey whatever. I think it's cool. My face feels so empty though. Maybe I'll start growing a bea-” Sam cut him off right there.
“If you go out there without a clean shaven face, I'm shaving YOUR beard.”
“God no please. It took me like a year to grow that!” Calvin pleaded.
“Hey hey, what about me?!” I interrupted their arguing.
“Oh yeah,” Sam started. “That's not Grandpa. It's Ferris.”
“Oh man Ferris. You're a fucking old dude now!” exclaimed Calvin. He then poked my new belly. “Welcome to the chub club! Well…” He glaced down at Sam's slim figure. “My membership is on hold for now.”
Just then we heard a scream coming from my mom's room. We quickly opened the door, already knowing what happened. We found my mom staring at the mirror with a look of pure horror on her face.
“It's ok Em, we're all body swapped too.” She seemed to calm down when she realized that she wasn't alone in all this.
“Weird case of Freaky Friday here. Especially with Em….and Mom,” added Calvin. Just then my mom, in Em's body, walked in to join in the confusion.
“Well this is awkward. Two of my kids in each other's bodies, my own son in my dad's and I'm in my own daughter's body. Could this Christmas get any crazier?”
“Where's Grandpa?”
“Probably still sleeping.”
We headed over to my room, expecting him to still be asleep, only to find him flexing in the mirror - in my body. I didn't actually have any real muscles, being a skinny twink, so he didn't really have anything to flex. That didn't stop him from admiring himself. When he noticed us, he walked over smiling. It was a creepy sight, not only to see my body move on its own, but also knowing it's my grandpa inside there smiling.
Tumblr media
“Hello everyone. It's good to be young again!”
“Uh hey Grandpa.” He looked right at me. “No, no! Call me Boris! YOU'RE the grandpa now!”
I felt so humiliated. He was actually…cool…in my body! And I was just the fat old guy that nobody liked!
“Dad, we need to figure out what happened so you can become your old self again. Ok?”
“Hell no! I'm young again for the first time in years. No way I'm giving away this opportunity!”
“I got it!” Em suddenly exclaimed. We all turned around wondering what she meant. She showed us her phone - or rather my mom's phone.
“What?”
“How we all swapped bodies! That ornament that Ferris got! There's an ancient artifact that can take on different appearances. It says it's been known to cause mischief when broken.”
“What kind of ancient thing is meant to be broken? How has it lasted this long then?”
“That's the thing. Everytime it breaks, it finds a new place and takes on a new appearance. But it always takes on the appearance of an object that its next victim will need.”
“Shit. And that's why the present seemed perfect for Grandpa.”
“Hey! I got a much better gift than any of you!” cheered my grandpa as he flexed his arms once agaih.
“But…how do we find it again?”
“Y-you don't. Unless you want to search the whole world for something you don't even know what it looks like.”
There was a deafening silence after she spoke those words. We all realized the truth was that we would never return to our old bodies. I was stuck as an old man forever!
“Hey, it's not so bad,” my grandpa started, seemingly reading my mind. He leaned over and lifted up my shirt, exposing my gut, and slapped it. “The belly is pretty comfy after all. You'll love it.” Maybe he was right. I'm sure I could make the silver bear look work. As I thought about that, I noticed a bulge starting to form. Grandpa turned to look at everyone with a huge smile on his face.
“Merry Christmas everyone!”

something small
Tumblr media
an: this idea randomly popped in my head earlier when i was coming home from the gym so enjoy lol
pairings: timeskip!sakusa x fem!reader
warnings: little teeny bit of anxiety from sakusa, fluff, pet names (pretty girl), lowercase intentional
-
sakusa thinks this is stupid.
the entire drive home, he has been second-guessing his purchase. not because of the price, but because he feels almost childish.
would she even want something like this?
he sighs as he turns onto your street.
all this fuss over a stupid high school memory.
during his third year, sakusa had a math class that was rather boring. the lack of friends and seemingly easy material left him with a lot of opportunities to get distracted.
one day, one of of the girls in his class came skipping in, taking the seat with her friends. shortly after, the group of girls began to squeal. he rolled his eyes, huffing in annoyance at their antics. but, curiosity got the best of him. when he looked over, he realized what the girls were fussing over.
one of them was wearing a necklace, which must have been new. the necklace was plain, but when he looked closer, he noticed that there was a small letter dangling from the chain. the necklace was a gift from her significant other, and everyone was excited about it.
for some reason, that memory stuck with him after all these years. which is the reason he is walking up to the door of your apartment with a velvet box in his hand.
he didn't even mean to get the necklace. he was just browsing, looking for a birthday gift for his sister, when the sparkling of diamonds and polished metal caught his eye. a small jewelry store, filled with precious materials and large price tags was not where sakusa thought he would end up, but after spotting the necklace in the display case, he couldn't stop himself.
the shop owner was extremely patient as he waited for sakusa to debate between gold and silver for the chain and the charm, finally deciding on gold after a good 10 minutes. that wait was nothing, compared to the debate in his mind over if he should get an s charm or a k charm.
while he liked the look of the s charm, he couldn't stop his heart from racing at the intimacy of you wearing a necklace with his first initial on it. while the thought made him a bit nervous, wondering if he was being too forward, he decided on the dainty, simple letter k to go on the gold chain.
sakusa thinks he will save a gift involving his last name, for when he is ready to share it with you.
knocking on the door of your apartment, he holds the small box in his left hand, fingers almost turning white from the grip he has on it.
"hi omi," you smile, welcoming him inside after a few short seconds. toeing off his shoes, sakusa follows you into the kitchen. he can't help the nerves that wash over him as he watches you, dancing around the island as you fix him a cup of tea.
is she too old for something like this?
"how was your day? did you find anything for your sister?" you ask, placing the drink in front of your very anxious looking boyfriend.
he nods, wrapping his fingers around the mug. "yeah, pretty quickly actually, which i'm happy about."
you laugh, and he gives you a small smile. "i know how much you hate shopping."
humming, he walks over to your spot next to the kitchen sink, wrapping his arms around you from behind. kissing the top of your head, he tries to calm himself down a little bit.
"do you like necklaces?" sakusa is glad you can't see his face right now after that stupid line.
you turn to face him, sensing the nerves in his tone. motioning him to follow you towards the living room, you nod. "yes, why do you ask?"
he stops walking and digs around in his pocket, fishing out a small blue box. examining it in his hand for a few seconds, he lets out a sigh and looks at you.
"back in high school, there was a girl who got something like this from her-" he shakes his head and starts over. "i saw a jewelry store today, and this made me think of you," he mumbles, opening the small box to reveal the daintiest, prettiest necklace you've ever seen. a thin, gold chain, and hanging from it is a shiny, curved letter k.
you gasp and look up into his eyes. the worry leaves them when he realizes how happy you are, how excited you look at what he got you. he carefully takes it out of the box, and undoes the clasp.
"turn around, then i can put it on you."
you turn around, and he steps behind you. his hands come around the side of your head, the metal glimmering in the dim light of the room. your heart thuds as you feel the letter sitting flush against your skin, right above your heart.
"it's beautiful, kiyoomi. i really love this," you spin around to face him, beaming from ear to ear. sakusa looks down at the necklace, and he is positive that you were made to wear it.
"it's so pretty," you mumble, looking at yourself in the reflection of your window. moving slightly to watch it glint in the glass.
"then it's perfect for you," he says, coming to stand right behind you once more. "pretty necklace for a pretty girl."
he kisses your cheek, then turns your chin to place a soft kiss on your lips. his heart swells in his chest and fills with pride as he stares at the necklace, his initial on his girl.
maybe next time he goes into the city, he will check out that same store again.
and maybe, he will look at the rings instead.

Once I had this dream about a modern lcf AU where Lily was like 13~14yo and somehow got involved into an otome-novel-ish type of drama. What I mean is: some girl at school was going around acting like she was such a sweetheart and making others believe Lily was a mean rich girl who bullies her.
She was very sad because a lot of people, including some friends, actually fell for it and treated her as if she was a villain. More and more people avoided her and frowned when they saw her. People who she used to play and chat now talked bad about her. And only a few close friends seemed to believe in her and treat her kindly.
She's brave and bold, but she feels really lonely right now.
And she didn't know how to tell her family. She hasn't heard that any of them had had such a problem before. What if they don't understand? (What if they don't believe her?)
One day, Cale (the original one) entered into her room while she was crying after a bad day. His brain's alarms started to sound. Whom the fuck hurt his little sister? She's a good kid who only wants to train with swords and eat sweets.
So he sat next to her and comforted her, softly humming a song. It felt so nostalgic (though she's not sure why) that Lily ended up spilling out everything. He promised things were going to get better. Then proceeded to distraught her with a gift and a promise to sparr with her.
It was Friday at that moment. On Monday, Lily went back to school just to find out everyone acting strange. Not bad, just strange.
When she asked, her classmates explained that the troublesome girl's mother had carried her from house in house to confess the truth during the weekend. She and her mother were at the headmaster's office at the moment.
Only some people apologized, but no one kept treating her like a bad omen.
Lily didn't know how, but she was sure that Cale was somehow behind this.
Other points about the dream:
-Lily and Cale got close after this. He takes her to and from school quite often. They spar together when Cale is at home or Lily tries new things with him.
-Probably because of the reason above, I remember a scene of them ice skating at an ice rink. They seemed to like it, so hc that it becomes an usual activity for them.
-They take Bassen out for a break when he seems too meddle into his studies. Then the three of them end up sitting at an ice cream shop or a coffee shop, dumming around and ocassionally getting tutoring from Cale.
-I think Cale was on his last year of college here, but he also had a business. I think it was a fashion business but I'm not sure. I don't know why he was taking college classes when he already had a sucessful business, he's weird like that. Probably because he was bored.
-Rok Soo was his roommate. I mean it like platonic roommates, not the vine. Cale somehow convinced him to work at his company after college.
-Ohn and Lily became friends after this.
-The rest of the Henituse family didn't find out about the incident until months later. They freak out a bit before Lily tell them that Cale already solved it. And Bassen is like "yeah, that tracks", which turns into an explanation about his own past bullying situation. Which leads to them connecting the dots. They freak out.
-Cale is walking between classes when he gets a call from Deruth. Half of the campus could heard the "CaLE hENiTuSE, did you sabotage yourself to help Bassen?!". And the "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?! YOU COULD HAD BEEN HURT!". A few seconds later, it was the whole campus that heard the "AN ACT? IT WAS ALL AN ACT?!".
-Thanks to the people who were near enough to listen to Cale's replies, now the whole campus labeled him of eccentric genius. The general consensus is that he's a good person, too.
-The acting class teacher kept running after Cale, trying to get him into his class after he heard Deruth's last scream. He tries harder after he overhears Cale saying "what? Like it was difficult. You guys are just easy to fool" when his childhood friends asked. Amiru is between the best students, she's definitely not easy to fool.

I Won't See You Tonight
Hey y’all! I hope you are doing well and blessed, and I hope this angsty Alex Holtz story is enjoyable to read. My sister recommended the idea of Holtzy as a mechanic and I ran with it. The title is from a song by Avenged Sevenfold, which was lingering around in my head for a long while. Something something along the lines of comfort, angst, and a thing or two about needing to take care of someone. Speaking of which, I hope you all enjoy this fic, and remember to take care of yourself!
Pairing: Alexander Holtz x F!Reader
Word Count: 3.3k
Warnings: Angst, Self-deprecation (self-bad talk), Comfort, Alcohol Consumption (of legal age), Mild jealousy (let me know if I need to add anything)

“Crap, crap, crap!”
Her car slowed down to a halt, spitting and sputtering as she pulled over to the side of the long, empty road. Turning off her engine, she clasped her hands at the top of the steering wheel and rested her forehead against it, irked by the fact that she had work within a few hours.
The hot summer sun didn’t seem to help, quickly turning her, apparently now unreliable, car into a miniature oven. It hadn’t had any previous or any notable issues that would hinder the aging process of the car, but apparently something was off.
Stepping out of the car, she checked her surroundings, and sure enough, not a car in sight. She pulled her phone out from her pocket, sighing in relief that she still had data on her phone, and searched up the phone number for the nearest auto shop.
The dial tone could be heard one moment, and the next was a voice, of what she assumed to be, the voice of the front desk worker for the auto shop.
“Hello, welcome to Dave’s Auto, how can we help you today?”
“Yeah, uhm–” She paced around the side of her car nervously for a brief second before continuing. “My car broke down on the side of Earl road. Do you think that you could send out some help by chance?”
He chuckled at her, but in a lighthearted way. “By chance? Ma’am of course we can help you. One of our guys will be there in about five minutes tops.”
She thanked him and hung up the phone, sliding it back into her pocket. Walking around the car, she tried to analyze and see if there was anything visibly wrong with the car from the outside.
Unfortunately for her, she couldn’t notice anything significant, and so her next thought was to check under the hood of the car. The engine seemed to look normal, and the oil didn’t have any odd coloration.
Everything seemed to be normal, and so she stood near the front of her car, waiting for one of the mechanics to arrive.
After a few minutes, a blueish tow truck with the auto shop’s logo could be seen driving closer to her, and she gave herself a lopsided smile of relief, and yet irritation from her car breaking down.
The truck parked and came to a stop in front of her car, allowing for easy access to actually move the car onto the platform.
“Hey, this your car?”
The man that stepped out the car was decently tall, wearing gray coveralls as his work uniform, and had wavy brown hair. As he stepped closer to her, she noticed his eyes, which seemed to captivate her the most.
“Yeah, sorry about that,” she laughed nervously.
He turned his attention to her after taking a quick look at her car, and smiled warmly. “You don’t gotta say sorry, miss. It’s my job,”
Hooking the car onto the tow truck, he fiddled with a pen and a notepad for a few moments before motioning for her to follow him.
Pausing, she looked at him nervously for a brief moment, and he read her expression before quickly apologizing. “Sorry, I should’ve asked, do you want a ride back to the auto shop or do you have someone picking you up?”
“Oh.” Her face flushed up in embarrassment for assuming that he was being odd, but was just offering a helping hand. “Yes I need a ride, sorry—” She quickly tried to read the name that was embroidered onto his coveralls. “Holtz?”
He opened the door to the passenger side of the truck, allowing her to get in. “Yeah, that’s my last name,” he smiled. “You can call me Alex though, promise.”
She smiled back at him, “Thank you so much for helping me with my car then, Alex”
His face warmed up a little, enjoying how her voice spoke his name so, perfectly. He got into the truck on his side, and they both drove towards the direction of the auto shop.
The drive remained mostly silent, apart from some small talk and the hum of the radio that was on. The view from her window was essentially just an empty road, which was unfortunately her only route to and from the bar she worked at.
“How’s your day been, miss?” His gaze was focused on the road ahead of him, but his mind ran rampant about her.
It was, most definitely, inappropriate to harbor such a childish crush for someone he just met, but he tried his best to ignore his feelings and keep it professional. After all, he didn’t have any high hopes that he’d see her again after this encounter.
“It’s been, well, regular—” she let out a soft laugh, the situation that she ended up in being not-so-regular. It was a sound that he could get accustomed to easily, wanting to hear it on repeat. “Besides my car breaking down three hours before work.”
He clicked his tongue against his teeth, feeling sympathy for her situation. “Oh, I’m sorry to hear about that,” he sighed. “I—we can get it done before that I hope, unless you don’t want to go to work?”
His joke made her laugh slightly, causing a small smile to appear on his own face.
She let out a breath and leaned back in the seat. “Ugh, I wish, Alex. But rent isn’t free unfortunately.”
Nodding his head in agreement, he continued to focus on the road. His fingers tapped along to the song on the radio on his steering wheel from the classic rock station. It had always been a favorite station of his, most likely from the fact that it was the only thing ever playing at his work.
Shortly after a few minutes, the truck, along with her car, arrived at the auto shop. Her broken down car was moved into the garage, while she was escorted into the main office area of the shop.
“So that car, the—Nissan Skyline?” The front desk worker looked up at her to confirm that it was in fact, her vehicle, and not the wrong one.
“Yes, that one.” She gave a half-smile, partly in pride of her car that was a little pricey in the market, but took good care of, and partly because now it seemed a little useless.
He scrawled down the name of the car on his notepad, before turning his attention to her again. “And the name or owner?”
She gave him her name, as well as her insurance information and phone number in case they needed to contact her.
Alex walked through the door that connected the office to the garage, a slightly disappointed look on his face. “Just a dead battery that needs replacing, shouldn’t take more than an hour,”
“That’ll do it,” she sighed. Of course, it was some basic issue that she had looked over and failed to maintain, most likely from the fact that she was extremely busy. “How much do you think it’ll be?”
“Three-hundred.”
“Two-fifty.”
Both Alex and the front desk worker glared at each other before he was shooed off back into the garage, leaving just her and the desk worker in the office.
“Three-hundred, and don’t listen to him, it sounds like a good deal but you’re not getting anything from some one-hundred dollar battery for the Skyline. It’s better to invest in a solid battery.”
She nodded suspiciously, disguising it as a nod of understandment, before handing the cash over to the worker, to which he then printed out a receipt for her to keep for records.
Moving over to the chairs in the waiting area of the office, she slumped down into it, letting out a breath of exhaustion. She pulled out her phone and texted her boss saying that she might be late for work, which was followed up by a quick response of something along the lines of take it easy.
For the next half-hour, she flipped mindlessly through the magazines that were on a small table nearby, and eyed the vending machines that had soft-drinks and beverages that seemed so tempting on a hot summer day.
A few more minutes ticked by, and Alex came through the door that connected the garage and the office area.
“You’re all set, miss.” He beamed proudly, having stuck with his word and kept the work-time lower than an hour. “Follow me,” he waved.
She followed him through the door, entering the garage that smelled like gasoline and car oil. Spotting her car, she walked over to it, talking a quick walk around to inspect his work.
“Yeah, so I just replaced the car engine—I mean, sorry.” He rubbed his hand on the back of his neck as he laughed, his error causing her to have a bewildered expression. “I meant the battery. The car battery. I did not replace your car engine,”
She sighed and wiped her brow in mock relief. “Whew, I would’ve called the manager on you, Alex,”
“Just a slight error, but all jokes aside, you should be all set and ready to go.” Alex spoke with a seemingly saddened tone, his mind accompanied with the knowledge that he might not get to see her again.
Her heart felt similar, eyes more tired, but still vibrant from the short time knowing him. “Thank you so much, I really do mean it,” she smiled. “I’ll see you later.”
She knew that she wasn’t going to see him later most likely, but she wanted to remain hopeful.
He gave her a final smile back, waving to her as she entered her car, and pulled out of the auto shop. Color seemed to slowly fade from his world, turning back into an ordinary life that he lived before.
A few minutes later, she arrived at the bar she worked at, and it was the usual shift of serving patrons their drinks and foods, friendly chats to wring out a tip or two, and anything else really to pass time.
Her own life seemed to be more dull without him, the neon glow of the lights in the bar barely enchanting anymore. Each shot glass seemed to have more lackluster with each passing night, filled up with vodka shots, gin, and what-other-nots that people drank to drown their summer sorrows.
That was, until, a familiar face showed up at her bar, those same gray coveralls and messy brown hair that held a glimmer in her heart.
“Just one uh—”
After he turned his attention to her, tired eyes refocusing, he realized who she was in the dim lighting.
“Oh, hi, miss.”
She softly looked at him, and smiled, which seemed to brighten him up a bit. “Hi, dearie.” Her hand held a towel and wiped the rim of a glass after she had washed it, putting it behind her on the counter. “What drink do you want?”
“Jagermeister, please.”
His voice was quiet, just as strong as she remembered, but this time, it faltered slightly, cracks in the crevices and deep details.
Grabbing a glass, she filled it up with his drink of choice, the dark, earthy color filling up to the brim. She held it in her hands delicately, his eyes following her movements. As she set the glass down in front of him, her gaze met his deep brown eyes, mirroring the liquor.
“Here’s your drink, be responsible,” she whispered.
He read her lips like a poem, understanding each word deeply, the last part like a promise that she didn’t want him to break. “Yes, miss,”
The night grew on, patrons leaving and coming in and out of the bar, and yet he remained there, in his seat, sipping away at his drink, a slight flush appearing on his face from the alcohol.
She looked back at him every so often, catching how his eyes lingered on her a little longer when she talked to other patrons, serving their drinks, accepting tips from guys that seemed to be too flirty for his liking.
Alex was never the jealous type, but perhaps he was when he was under the influence and in the same room as her.
He raised his hand up to try and get her attention, mainly out of wanting to just talk to her. “Hey uh, miss?” His voice slurred slightly, the effects of the drink slowly getting to him.
Walking over to him, she rested her arms on the counter, lowering down to meet his eyes. “Yes, Alex? How can I help you?”
Her voice seemed to be smooth and sweet like honey, something that he wanted to taste so badly. He was stuck with her, enamored oh so deeply. All he ever wanted now was just her, and no one else.
“Hi.” A dopey smile was plastered on his face, hair tousled and messy.
She smiled at how cute it was that he called her over, just to say something so simple. “Hi, you holding up okay?”
He nodded his head, eyes slightly glossy, but it almost seemed like a mirage under the dim lighting.
And then, she was pulled away from him again, slipping away from his invisible grasp.
She laughed and playfully talked to others as he watched, and the night started to die down, the majority of large crowds leaving. It was just him and her in the bar now it seemed, aside from a few other workers and patrons at tables around the bar.
Wiping a wet rag along the counter, she saw that he was resting his head in his arms, almost dead silent aside from a slight sniffle that could hardly be heard.
“Alex?” She gently placed a hand on his shoulder, careful not to startle him.
His drink was unfinished, glass still half-full with the liquor. Picking up his head slowly, he met her with teary eyes, and her heart sank with sorrow.
Cupping his face gently, she wiped a tear that he shed away carefully. “What’s wrong?”
“I just—” He took a shaky breath inwards, avoiding eye contact with her. “Why does no one treat you right?”
It felt like a sharp pang in her chest, something that she had never spoken openly about, but he read her perfectly. “What do you mean? No one treats me right?”
“You. You’re so perfect ‘n pretty, and yet, all these guys just want to see you stroking their egos just for you to get a small tip that isn’t even fair.” He rested his head in his arms again, hiding his face from her. “It’s not fair.”
She was awestruck by all of this spilling from him, not believing that this is what he truly meant, but she knew, he was all raw and vulnerable before her gaze.
“It’s my job.” Her words came out empty, as if it was something that she wasn’t satisfied with. “I’m used to it, Alex, please don’t worry.”
He looked at her, eyes reddish and puffy, and pulled out his wallet. His hand held a fifty-dollar bill, and a twenty-dollar bill. “Please, take it. That greedy scumbag ripped you off about that car battery, and for the tip for the drink as well.”
She shook her head in denial as she cleaned up his drink, pouring the rest of it down the drain. “Alex, I’ll take the tip for the drink, but not the car, it doesn’t hurt me.”
“Please, miss?” he pleaded. “It won’t hurt, I just hate seeing you be lied to like that,”
Looking at him again, she walked closer, moving her hand to his shoulder and rubbing it soothingly. “Alright, but the drink is on the house, okay?” She accepted the tip, sliding it into her back pocket as he smiled, still teary eyed. “How’d you get here?”
“A cab,” he responded. “But I don’t know if I can call a cab this late,”
“I’ll drive you home, if you trust me of course,” she offered.
“I trust you, and I really like you, ya’know, you’re so sweet and kind and beautiful. You’re an angel,” he rambled.
“You as well, Alex.” Her hands were occupied with counting the cash at the register, closing everything up before turning her attention back to him. “You’re so pretty.” She took her hand and held his face.
He leaned into her touch gently, eyes shut and relaxed. “I’m sorry you have to see me so—pathetic,” he sighed.
“You aren’t pathetic, promise you,”
It was now just the both of them, alone in the bar. Her boss was always last to leave, and it was only half an hour until closing.
Silence sat between the both of them, comfortable and yet uncomfortable. The air was all stuffy and the scent of alcohol, cheap and expensive, filled the air.
“I should get going,” he said, getting up from the chair. “Don’t wanna bother you any longer,”
She reached out and grasped his hand softly, hoping to keep him a little longer. “No, Alex, I don’t—”
He shook his hand from her, vulnerability scrawled all over his face. “I want to let you be, I don’t deserve you,”
“Alex, no!” she shouted after him. “I want to make sure you get home safely,”
“I can take care of myself! I’m a grown adult!” he retaliated.
Her heart crumbled when he shouted, but she still tried. “I’ll take care of you, okay? Just one night, Alex.”
He looked back at her, seeing her teary eyes despite her strong face. “I’m sorry, I’ll wait.”
For the next few minutes, she gathered her bag and belongings, and walked out of the bar with him, his arm slung around her shoulders.
He was confused, but slightly sobering up from the cool night air. “Why do you want to take care of me? I’m just some guy you met,”
“Alex, you’re kind and sweet, you didn’t take advantage of my money, and you’re trying your best, alright?”
“But you’re so pretty,” he whispered, looking over at her.
She laughed softly, her smile vibrant and warm. “Alex, what does it take for me to tell you that I like you too,”
“Wait, what?”
Opening the passenger side door, she motioned for him to get in. “Yes, Alex, I like you,”
He smiled, with pure happiness despite being exhausted. “You, like me?”
“Yes.” She nodded. “I like you, Alex.” She got in the driver’s side of the car, starting up the engine. “Where is your address? We need to get home,”
“We? Like me and you?” he said dreamily.
“Well I said I was going to take care of you, so sure.”
He told her his address, and then she started driving. Cozying into the seat, he got comfortable and rested his eyes for a bit, which ended up being the entire ride.
It was a quiet ride, comfortable, and only comfortable silence, with her looking over at him every now and then, smiling softly to herself.
When they both arrived at his house, she gently tapped his shoulder to wake him up, still in his gray coveralls.
He mumbled something, still in the process of waking up.
“Alex, honey.” She shook him a little this time, but not too rough. “Let’s get you inside okay?”
Nodding his head, which was now affected by a headache, he complied, allowing her to help him inside.
She kept her promise, making sure that he ended up in his bed, making sure that he had a bottle of water and some pain medicine at his bedside table, and making sure that he woke up with a note beside him, with her phone number and a sweet message for him.

Sebastian sallow one shot: Sebastian breaks a rule just to make reader smile
I love this idea!
○●○●○♡○●○●○
Request: Sebastian sallow one shot: Sebastian breaks a rule just to make reader smile.
Description: Y/N has been having a rough time after the death of Professor Fig. They just go through the motions and fake smiles. Sebastian notices this, and decides he's gotta get to you to make you smile- rules be damned.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Honestly, yes. I think they need that." Poppy smiled at the idea Sebastian presented, "It should be easy to actually get you into our dorms, but we need you to go unnoticed by the others. I don't want anyone turning you in because they have a thorn in their side."
Sebastian hummed in thought, the idea coming to him, "I got it! Y/n has a stash of Polyjuice potion! You distract them for the day, and I can disguise myself as you! Although I'm sure I'll need help decorating..."
Poppy thought for a second, munching on the honey bun that Sebastian had brought her to butter her up. "Whats Anne up to? I know she's feeling better, and I feel like she'd love this. She can disguise herself as y/n."
Sebastian grins, "Poppy, you genius little creature. Maybe you should have been in Ravenclaw."
Poppy laughs, "Maybe, Sallow. Maybe. I'll get y/n out of the castle tomorrow... and I'll sneak you our hair tonight at dinner. I'll tuck it into a book and act like you let me borrow it."
Sebastian hopped up in excitement, "Wonderful, I'll write to Anne right away. Thank you, Poppy."
Poppy watched the boy begin to strut away, laughing to herself. That kid was so head over heels for y/n.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Poppy. I love you, I really do. But please tell me where it is you're dragging me?" You force a laugh as your friend pulls you through the back alley of some small hamlet you've surprisingly never been too.
"Just wait-" she pulls you through the narrow exit of the alley, straight into a street out of a fairytale. A cobblestone road, lined on either sides with shops with thatched roofs. Beautiful jack o lanterns  line the walkways, and leaves flutter through the air like butterflies.  You can't help but take a deep breath, amazed.
"Oh, Poppy." You breathe out, looking at the scene infront of you. There's a flower shop, a bakery, a book store, a clothing store... it's all amazing.
"I thought you could use a nice, calm day. So I brought you to my favorite place." Poppy smiles at you proudly.
"Let's go, we've got lots of shopping to do!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, the Sallow twins stood in the detention room, knowing there was no way they'd get caught in there.
"Poppy's Polyjuice looks like sunshine." Anne watched in amazement as sebastian swirled the bottle.
Her eyes fell back to the bottle in her hand, in which a gossamer liquid swirled, so deeply amber that in certain lights it appeared black. Sebastian looked up from under his brows at his sister, laughing at the apprehensive look in her eyes, "Y/n drank a Polyjuice potion that turned them into Professor Black. They said it looked like someone bottled vomit. you'll be just fine." He held out the bottle and clicked it against Anne's, "Slàinte."
She huffed a small laugh, returning the cheers before downing the bottle. For a moment, the twins felt nothing- then all at once, their bones began shifting. Muscles and skin stretched and shrank, hair growing and changing color.
Before they knew it, they both stood there staring at each other... well. Sort of.
"I never realized how much smaller Poppy is than me," Sebastian chuckled, looking around at his now small frame basically swimming in his clothes.
Anne laughed, but it came out as y/n musical laugh that Sebastian had grown to love so much... the laugh he hadn't heard in ages, "Seb, I'm really hoping you brought their uniforms to change into?"
Sebastian laughed, taken aback by the girlish sound, "Yeah, here. In my bag."
They quickly changed, Sebastian keeping his eyes glued to the ceiling to he didn't see any part of Poppy that she wouldn't want.
"Seb, really. You didn't even put on the stockings?" Anne laughed.
"No way. Those things are like sausage casinos, and if anyone is eyeing Poppy- well, me- close enough to notice I'll punch them in the nose."
"Fair enough, let's go."
The two managed to make it to the Hufflepuff common room entrance unnoticed, and paused staring at the barrels.
"Well, go ahead." Sebastian gestures to the barrels.
"What? Me? Absolutely not!" Anne scoffed.
"I am NOT about to be squirted by this evil thing."
"This was your idea. Besides, you shouldn't get squirted." Anne rocked back on her heels, and took a few steps back, "Assuming you get it right."
Sebastian huffed, approaching the barrels apprehensivly. He brought his fist to the one that Poppy had indicated, took a deep breath and began the knock.
Hel-ga Huff-le-puff
There was a split second where Sebastian winced, completely sure that he was about to get drenched in the foul smelling liquid, but then the door opened.
"Oh thank Merlin," and let out a sigh of relief, "I was afraid you'd be strayed and I'd have to listen to you whine all day."
Sebastian followed his sister, ducking through the enterance, "Very funny."
Entering the Hufflepuff common room, the twins had to keep the look of awe off of their faces. Where Slytherins common room was dark and elegant, Hufflepuff's was cozy and warm. Plants seemed to grow out of every nook and cranny, and the smell of sweets pervaded the air.
Sebastian and Anne could've explored for hours, if it wasn't for the voice that rang out from a couch a few meters away.
"Oh Poppy! There you are!" Adelaide Oaks scurried over, a huge smile on her face, "I was hoping you could help  me out a bit with this Magical Creatures essay, I've really been struggling with-"
Sebastian cut her off, "No- uh," he cleared his throat attempting to copy Poppy's way of speaking, "I'm sorry, I mean I can't right now. How about later this evening? Y/n will be on a date with Sebastian. But don't tell her that when you see her, it's a surprise."
Adelaide eyes flickered behind Sebastian, to where Anne was standing, "Oh goodness, I guess she knows now! Don't mind me, I didn't get nearly enough sleep. You know me, mind always on puffskiens. Hehe. Well anyways, got to go. See you this evening byee!" Sebastian grabbed his sister's hand, dragging her towards the dorms and away from a befuddled Adelaide.
Anne giggled, "Did you really just say hehe? What the bloody hell was that, Seb?"
Not letting go of her arm, Sebastian continued scurrying down the hallway to the dorm he knew to be Y/n and Poppy's, "I don't know Anne! I panicked, okay? I don't know what girls say!"
"Well, it's definitely not 'hehe'. Atleast in that tone anyway. You're lucky Poppy is known to be an odd ball."
Sebastian rolled his eyes, "Whatever, come on. Get in here."
The twins closed the door behind them, and turned to inspect the room they were working with.
"This is so cozy!" Anne squealed a bit, looking around. She found her way over to what she knew to be Y/n's bed, picking up a picture frame from the nightstand. Encased behind the glass was a moving picture of y/n, Ominis, and Sebastian. In the center, Ominis is stood with his arms crossed, his face feigning annoyance as y/n pinches his cheeks and throws her head back in laughter. On the other side, Sebastian throws his head back in laughter, then looks at the hufflepuff with such adoration.
"Man Seb," Anne giggles, "You really have it bad for them, huh?"
Sebastian rolls his eyes, "Yes. I do. Now please help me decorate, nosey.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Poppy and MC finally returned to the castle later than evening, no longer wearing the school robes they had left in. Poppy had forced y/n to buy a new outfit, telling them that retail therapy is the best therapy. Sweeting then proceeded to drag MC to the flower shop where she proceeded to weave all sorts of matching flowers into her hair.
Y/n had to admit, they felt rather attractive for the first time in a long time. Approaching the barrels, they waited for Poppy to knock, complaining, "I still don't understand why you wouldn't let me get any food from the tavern. I'm starving, Poppy!"
Poppy chuckled stepping towards the door as it opens, "How about this; you go put the stuff we bought in out dorm and I'll start working on my homework for a bit. If you're still hungry we will go to the kitchens."
"Ugh," Y/n groaned dramatically, "Fiiiine."
The trek to Y/n and Poppy's dorm was short, and Y/n didn't see anyone. She figured they were all at dinner, where she wished she was. Opening the door, she is assaulted by the smell of sweets.
Entering the room, Y/n is beyond surprised at the scene infront of her. The beds, desks and normal furniture were missing. Instead, the outside of the room was lined with large, soft pillows and blankets, and in the center of the room were short- almost ground level- tables overflowing with all sorts of foods and drinks. The air was warm and inviting, filled with twinkling lights that y/n quickly realized were fire flies. Fairylights covered the walls, and convering the ceiling was a golden shimmering enchantment, unlike anything they had seen before. Their eyes fell to the figure that quickly stood up from the cushions.
Sebastian.
Their voice was light with awe and wonder, "Seb, what is all of this?"
He walked forward, taking her hand and leading them to the cushions near the food, "Well y/n," Sebastian began, "Since everything that's happened, you've been depressed. Rightfully so, of course. But I missed seeing you smile and laugh. Genuinely smile and laugh, not that show you've been putting on for everyone."
MC sat on the floor, Sebastian taking his place beside them as he continued speaking, "So, I thought to myself: what makes y/n smile? Breaking rules, sweets, the stars, and these freaky little twinkling bugs. It took me a bit, but I managed to put them all together."
The cheesy grin full of pride that sat on Sebastians face was enough to make MC laugh, and the though of someone going through all of this, doing all of this, just for them made them tear up.
"Oh Seb, this is amazing." Y/n threw their arms around Sebastian, pulling away after a moment to look at his face. His eyes flickered to Y/n's lips, then scanned their face.
His voice came breathlessly as he tucked a strand of hair behind their ear, "You look breathtaking, by the way."
Sebastian leaned in, pressing his lips lightly to theirs. In a moment, they pull away just enough, their foreheads still touching and smile on their face, "Seb, if you wanted to make me smile all you had to do was kiss me."

Swan Sisters (Part 4)
Tumblr media
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Bella and Sister!Reader
Summary: You get dragged into dress shopping in Port Angeles with the girls, which turns out to be a good thing considering Bella is a magnet for danger! Jasper is not in this one cause it got too long!
Word Count: 3534
Warnings: some violence (self defense) and allusion to/attempted assault (Port Angeles scene) also possibly horrid writing, I've been up for 24 hours!
---
“How was the beach?”
You meet Bella at the door, fluttering around her hectically as she toes her boots off and shakes stray droplets from her coat. She hits you with a look, the ‘calm down before I walk right back out of here’ look. Smiling apologetically, you back off a few paces, though you can’t stop the habitual leg bouncing.
She obviously had something planned last night, when you talked about La Push. Waiting is not exactly your forte these days. After wasting a couple hours working, you called Alice, who hadn’t seen anything, a common occurrence when the wolves are involved somehow. So wait you did, not that it was easy. The living room is in a completely different arrangement than it was this morning.
“It was fine. It rained a bit, but everyone seemed to have fun. I think I convinced Angella to ask Eric out,” she recounts once she hangs up her coat and starts towards the living room.
“Really? Angella and Eric? Huh.” You never thought of that, but they do seem like a perfect pair. Eric’s not too crazy and Ang- Wait, she’s trying to distract you! Focusing back in you, you prod a little further, “Besides that, did anything happen? Any coincidental Jacob appearances?”
‘Coincidental’ because you know of Jacob’s little crush on your sister. If he heard about Forks kids showing up on the reservation, he’d probably show up out of pure curiosity.
“Yup.”
Hm, the shut out approach. Smart. Unfortunately for her, you are now undying, which means an eternal amount of stubborn snooping.
“How’s he?”
“Fine, Billy’s good too.”
“That’s nice.” You give her just enough time to sit down and reach for the tv remote before plopping down next to her, your next question spilling out, “What did you guys talk about?”
Bella rolls her eyes, “Are we playing twenty questions?”
“Until I figure out what you were planning last night before dad came in,” you reply, just as snarkily, “So?”
“Fine,” she huffs, “I got him to tell me about the legend behind why they don’t like the Cullens. Happy?”
“How’d you do that?” This question is just for fun.
A lot of fun, considering Bella goes positively red, pursing her lips in discomfort.
“I might have…flirted with him,” she mumbles, scratching the back of her neck.
Oh the poor boy. Being exposed to that so young, he’ll never be the same. And to think, Bella can actually successfully flirt! You can’t stop yourself from snickering, which makes Bella look even more miserable.
“It’s alright, Bells.” You try to reassure her, but there’s no hiding the amusement in your voice, and she just glares at you. “Sometimes you just have to use your feminine wiles to get your way, you know?”
She groans, head dropping into her hands. Her voice comes out muffled when she growls, “I hate you so much.”
The laugh you let out is truly a cackle, completely evil in intent, “You could never.”
“I am this close.” She holds out her fingers, except they are pressed firmly together, which just makes you laugh harder.
It takes a moment for you to calm down again. It’s a good thing you don’t need air, otherwise you’d be gasping, ribs aching. But now you can laugh as much as you want, as long as you want. A weird perk, but one you enjoy.
“So,” you start again, wiping a nonexistent tear from your eye, “What did you learn?”
Bella shifts, just enough to cast you a sidelong glance. Her eyes, thoughtful, calculating, seem to look straight through you as she considers her words carefully. You wish she would just spit it out, but it’s not too hard to guess what she might be thinking.
“He said that the Cullens are some enemy clan, and that they have some treaty with the Quileutes that keep them off the reservation,” she finally explains, though her tone is clipped.
“An enemy clan, huh?”
That makes sense. You get the feeling that there’s more to what Jacob said, something about what you are, but you don’t press further. Whether she figures it out or not, you’re not too worried anymore. Alice’s visions always come true, and your stubbornness alone will deter the more gruesome ending.
You look at her face. There’s no fear in her expression as she meets your gaze. So maybe he didn’t say too much. But there’s still something. She has to know something. You catch yourself, humming at the realization that you want her to know something.
Maybe the quicker she figures it out, the quicker that future will come true.
You give her knee a soft squeeze and push yourself back to your feet, “Whelp, I’m glad you had fun, Bells. You should talk to Jacob more often, he’s a smart kid.”
Her brow furrows, confusion flooding her face at your conspiratorial grin. With a quick wink, you dart upstairs, leaving Bella positively bewildered much to your own amusement.
---
Not much changes the days following the conversation. The weather gets a little sunnier, meaning the Cullens don’t go to school and you get a few off days with Jasper. Bella doesn’t mention their absence, much to your surprise.
It’s almost like things are normal for a little bit.
She even invites you to Port Angeles for prom dress shopping, which prompted the question-
“You’re going to prom?!”
And the subsequent answer.
“No.” Said with such disdain, you let it drop immediately.
Even so, that’s how you find yourself here, watching Angela and Jessica try on dresses while Bella stares out the window, lost in thought. It’s a good thing that you know the girls from your time in Forks High, otherwise this would be so awkward.
Maybe that’s why she just invited you, to spare herself the pain of doing it alone.
“I like that one on you, Ang,” you chirp, “Lavender is totally your color.”
“Yah?” She smiles meekly, looking down at herself.
“Totally! Don’t you think Bella?” You give your sister a hard elbow to the ribs, making her jump and glare at you before turning to her friend.
“Definitely, Angela, you look beautiful.” At least she’s trying.
The two more normal girls go back to fussing over their dresses. Watching them gives you a dull sense of nostalgia. It’s been so long since you’ve done something like this with humans. Since you’ve been able to.
“So, (Y/n), are you still dating Jasper Hale?” Jessica suddenly pipes up, eyeing you with poorly hidden jealousy.
Ah, that, you haven’t missed. Out of the corner of your eye, you catch Bella smothering a smug smile. Karma.
“I am,” you reply shortly.
“Is that weird?” She presses as she stares at herself in the mirror, messing with a pair of white gloves. “Ya know, since you graduated and he’s still in school?”
“No. I skipped a grade, so we’re about the same age.” Not even close, technically, but appearance wise it is.
“Still-”
Thankfully, or unfortunately, she’s cut off by a sudden knock on the window. A group of men walk by, whooping and catcalling. Angela and Jessica flinch and shuffle away from the glass, faces twisting with discomfort. You frown, a sudden flare of anger flushes through you.
You jump in front of the girls, flipping the bird at the men as you bark a low, “Piss off!”
It doesn’t do much to damper their attitudes, since they’re probably too buzzed to notice the typically unnerving edge you carry as a vampire. Anger simmers low and hot in your gut. What happened to common decency?
“That is uncomfortable,” Jessica mumbles.
“But really cool, of you, (Y/n),” Angela murmurs, voice touched with awe, “Thanks.”
“Oh please, it’s only decent,” you grumble and slump back into your seat, “I can’t believe that.”
You’re tempted to go rip their heads off, but that wouldn’t look too good.
“It’s disgusting,” Bella agrees, looking just as frustrated.
You fall into a tense silence. It’s tense to you at least, but that’s probably because you’re watching the window like a hawk, as if they’ll come back at any moment. For their sake, you hope they don’t. Their death would not be pleasant. No, you’d make sure-
“What do you think of this one, Bella?”
Oh right, dress shopping. Probably not the best time to get swept up in murderous thoughts.
“It looks great.”
You snort. Is it possible to sound less enthusiastic?
“You’ve said that about, like, the last five dresses,” Jessica says with a grimace-like smile.
Bella shrugs, “I thought they were all pretty great.”
Angela, who’s observant nature rivals even Edward’s, picks up on her reluctance easily, “You’re not really into this, are you?”
“I actually just really wanted to go to this bookstore.”
You perk up a little in interest, eyeing your sister, “A bookstore?”
She noticably avoids your stare as she nods. Curious. Maybe something to do with her talk with Jacob?
“Well let’s go to this bookstore of yours then! We’ll catch you girls at the restaurant?” A charismatic smile and they agree easily. You tug Bella up by her arm, though she quickly jostles out of your grip with a soft glare.
“You don’t have to come,” she grumbles.
“Hmmm, stay here dress shopping for a prom I’m not going to or accompany my twig-like sister around a dangerous town?” You pretend to mull it over, rubbing your chin theatrically, and Bella rolls her eyes. “I’m afraid I’ll have to go with the ladder. For your safety, of course.”
“I can hold my own.”
Swan stubbornness.
“A gust of wind could knock you over, Bells. Or worse, a nice patch of wet concrete.”
No need to remind her of all the times you’ve watched her trip on nothing. The girl was frightfully uncoordinated. Plus, you’d heard word of some strange “animal” attacks nearby. It’s safer if you’re with her.
Though the trip turns out to be mostly uneventful. You walk to a small store, Thunderbird and Whale Bookstore, who’s clerk gives you a weird look as you puruse the indigenous literature. Not completely abnormal, given your appearance. Just abnormal enough to make you wonder, not too abnormal that people ask. But the legends of their people definitely make you more conscious of your human habits.
Breathe. In. Out. Blink. Shuffle.
Until he focuses on Bella as she comes up to him with a book.
You peer over her shoulder at the cover. Quileute Legends. Seems you right.
She shifts, blocking your sight as she tucks the book to her chest. With a quick thank you and goodbye, you’re back on the street. The restaurant shouldn’t be too far.
“So…Quileute legends?”
“Yep.”
You huff, “You’re so boring sometimes, Bella.”
She meets you tick for tick, “You’re so annoying sometimes, (N/n).”
Unconsciously, you catch the sound of heavy footsteps down a nearby road.
“That’s my job,” you chirp, slinging an arm over her shoulders, to draw her close, just to be careful.
“I thought you’re job was to teach me about makeup and boys and all that,” she snorts back.
The footsteps get louder.
Pretending to be playful, you pull her hood up, synching it over part of her face, “What do you want to know, hm?”
Bella looks at you, glare equal parts amused and irritated, until she catches the faintest glimmer of unease in your eyes. You smile, but it’s forced, too stiff, unnarturally sharp. She grip the book closer to her chest. As you push her into an alley, she catches sight of the two men walking where you had.
And they catch sight of the two of you. A glint sparks in their eyes. An all too familiar one. The hunt has begun.
“Keep walking, Bells, please.” You urge, voice tight.
Their gaze burns on the back of your neck, much like it had at the dress store, dripping with hunger. It brings back every memory of walking through Port Angeles alone. The fear, gripping your mace with white fingers, keys held like claws in your other hand. All because men like them think they are entitled to touch touch touch-
Rage simmers up your throat.
Any other day you could show them what that fear is like. How it feels to be hunted. But you’re too aware of Bella tucked under your arm, one hand curling around your wrist so tight, it would break if you weren’t made of marble. She would see. As much as you want her to know, this is not how you want her to figure it out.
So you clamp down on the rage. Dismembering them might not be the best solution anyways.
Though it sounds more appealing as you step out of the alley and watch the last of the drunken men slither out from the shadows. Disgusting snakes. They were waiting for you.
“Hey, where you running to?”
“There they are.”
Bella flinches, and you envision their blood spilled over the pavement, fizzling alongside their beer. Something inside you craves it, longs to see these men wounded in the same way they hurt young women. But you keep it locked down. Not yet. Not unless it’s necessary, you snarl to yourself.
“Stay close to me, Bella,” you murmur, arm like a metal guard around her shaking, frail shoulders.
The girl merely nods. Her eyes are wide, unblinking, like a china doll.
You will protect her. At all costs.
Head kepts low, you try to force yourself forward, through the men, but they close in like vultures around you.
“Woah, woah, woah, where are you going?”
“Yah, why don’t you hang out with us?” They chorus in agreement.
Your eyes dart around, looking for any way to escape. There’s maybe ten men, and you feel your throat tighten with each step they take towards you. With each step, Bella’s heartrate spikes, panic flickering over her features. You pull her impossibly closer.
You go rigid when a scorchingly hot, sweaty hand gropes your butt. Snarling, you slap it away, disgust burning a pit in your gut.
“Don’t you dare touch me,” you warn, though your eyes flicker between their identical, sickening smirks, unable to tell who did it. If Jasper were here, they’d all die for it. They still might.
“Oh, she doesn’t like that.”
“Feisty one, eh?”
“What about this one?”
Everything slows down for just a split second.
Another reaching hand, palm covered in sweat and beer, nails rimmed with dirt, skin smudged with oil. Ready to touch. Ready to take whatever it wants. Reaching for your sister.
Fast - too fast - you block his way. Bella gasps almost inaudibly behind you, but you’re too distracted as you catch the man’s wrist. His face goes stark white at your crushing grip, and it’s like the clouds clearing, his eyes setting on you for the first, real time. The fear glinting in their depths gives you a sick sense of satisfaction.
“Keep your disgusting, filthy hands off my sister,” you hiss slowly and give his wrist a deft twist.
The satisfying pop paired with his pained yelp is music to your ears.
Alongside the sound of screeching tires.
Edward.
Bella barely has time to breathe as you shove her towards the Volvo as it skids to a stop, barely catches the imperseptible nod you give Edward as he steps out. Ignoring her sputtering, you push her into the front seat.
“What the h-”
“Just stay put,” you grumble and slide into the backseat.
You don’t watch as Edward approaches the men. You don’t care to see their faces again. If you do, you just might turn around and break the remaining wrists. Maybe that would keep them from laying their hands on any innocents again.
Eyes flickering shut, you let every muscle in your body go still. It helps somehow, like you’re resetting. You focus on the sound of Bella’s breathing, how it slows down, and how her heart eventually returns to a normal rhythm.
It picks up a fraction when Edward slips back in, slamming his door hard enough to make the car shake.
“Hold on tight,” you whisper, mostly to yourself.
Bella turns to look at you, but gasps and clutches at her armrests when Edward whips right out of the lot. The man drives like usual, like he’s trying escape the depths of hell. This time, you don’t give him grief for it though.
“I should go back and rip their heads off,” Edward snarls, fingers going somehow paler around the steering wheel.
“No. Bad idea-”
“Sounds good to me-”
Bella shoots you a glare. With an unapologetic shrug, you turn to watch the trees race by. They might not have hurt the two of you, but there’s no doubt in your mind that they’ve done the same thing to some other poor soul. They deserve to rot.
“You don’t know the vile things they were thinking.”
You resist the urge to slap your forehead. Or him.
“And you do?” Bella’s brow furrows.
Cover it up, cover it up, you idiot.
“Not hard to guess.”
Better than that, Edward.
The glare he sends you through the rearview mirror is remarkably similar to your sister’s. They really will make a lovely match. Good thing they can’t have kids, what with the amount of disapproval they can put together.
“Good thing you were visiting Port Angeles, huh Edward?” You tease with a lecherous grin pointed right back at him.
“You were just…visiting.” Bella’s voice rings with suspicioun.
Edward grinds his teeth, “Yup. Visiting.”
The word is slowly losing all meaning.
You settle back into your seat as an awkward silence fills the cabin. If you didn’t know better, you would think Edward was just another inexperienced teenager, new to the whole love thing. Though, he still looks ready to murder those guys, based on his black glare barely focused on the road.
Remembering them brings back a new feeling. Not fear, but a remanent, the faintest lingering of anxiety that makes you grit your teeth. Dread maybe, because you can’t help but wonder - what if it happened a year ago? It’s pointless, you know, but there’s no banishing the images that come to mind.
Something hollow opens in your chest as you shake your head, as if that will dislodge them.
Edward glances back at you again. His gold eyes crease with concern, but ignoring him seems better than admitting to something so stupid. You’re a vampire now, nothing like that will happen. Instead, you let thoughts of Jasper fill your mind. His smile. His eyes. Anything to keep you distracted until you’re in his arms.
Bella must tell Edward where to go, because the next thing you know, you’re pulling up to the restaurant you were meant to meet Jessica and Angela at. They are barely walking out the door as you park. Bella jumps out, probably to greet them, and Edward goes to follow, but you stop him with a hand on his elbow. Gold eyes flash back to meet yours, still concerned and questioning.
“Thank you,” you all but whisper, squeezing his elbow gently.
His features soften, a small, genuine smile flashing over his lips, “Go. I’ll take care of Bella. Alice told Jasper about tonight, he needs you just as much right now.”
Those words wash over you like a warm tide. Somehow, the thought of Jasper in a rage over your safety, despite you being almost stronger than him now, makes you feel a little better. His protectiveness almost matches your own, though yours spans to practically everyone around you.
Speaking of.
You slip out of the car and give Bella one last once over. She looks…okay. No bruises. No lingering fear. Like it never happened. Satisfied, you nod to yourself and pull her into a tight, almost crushing hug. She jumps, wheezing out a soft laugh.
“I’m fine, (Y/n).”
“I know, I know. Just, stay with Eddie, okay? He’ll get you food and take you home.”
Bella frowns, “Where are you going?”
“To see Jasper.” You offer her a guilty smile, though she nods her understanding. “Eddie called him right before he got to us, so he’s freaking out a little.” Another nod. “Love you, Bells.”
“Love you, too.”
One last squeeze and you pull away, offering the two other girls a short wave, “Night girls, get home safe, alright?”
“You too, (Y/n)!”
“It was nice seeing you again.”
As you turn to leave, you hear Bella flip on her heels, laughter in her voice, “Eddie?”
Edward’s following groan casts off the last of your dark clouds. You’ll pay for that somehow, you’re sure, but it’ll be totally worth the pure enjoyment it brings you. He hates it when you call him that. Almost as much as Bella hates it when you call her Tinkerbell. Another match.
The silver lining of this all is that you have a convenient reason to leave them alone together.
And based on the events of the night, Bella will probably have more questions than Edward can answer without lying. Plus the book. Everything’s lining up, it’ll just depend on how much Edward outs himself!
---
Part 5 (ending)
I hope y'all enjoyed! The next part will likely be the last! And sorry if you missed Jasper in this part :( I try to keep my stories to below 4k words, so I decided to keep that for the next part.

Carol Danvers x teen!reader - family
Tumblr media
Carol Danvers x teen reader prompt 44 the hot chocolate one! Maybe she's like a big sister to reader. - @witchreporter 💜
44: “I make a great hot chocolate.” “I’ll be the judge of that.”
Rubbing your hands together, you tried to warm them up as you walked into your apartment, shrugging your bag off by the table.
You saw a familiar jacket on the back of the couch and you smiled to yourself.
“I haven’t seen you in a while.”
“I’ve been away, you’ve not been buying shopping.”
You turned to the doorway to see the face of a very familiar superhero look around.
Anybody else would’ve freaked out, panicked or immediately began fangirling about a superhero being in the apartment.
For you it was normal.
“Takeout man, easy food.”
Carol sighed, pointing a spoon at you.
“I didn’t teach you to cook for nothing.” She scolded.
You grinned a little, shrugging your jacket off, pulling on her jacket and wondered into the kitchen.
Kneeling on a chair, you looked at Carol.
“This is breaking and entering ya know.”
“I have a key.”
“You have a key?”
“Yes?”
You both looked at each other confused for a moment.
“Oh yeah…” you mumbled.
Carol laughed slightly, shaking her head a little bit at you.
“Well since you’re here will you help me with my homework?”
“Yeah sure go get it.”
You jumped up, rushing to get your homework and you set it on the table, heading to the fridge to grab a can of soda.
“Thought you were good a math?”
“Not this kinda math, I suck at it.”
Carol hummed a little bit, picking up the paper, furrowing her brows a little and you snickered.
“You don’t know either.”
“I do! I’m just.. trying to figure out how to explain it…”
Laughing a little, you took it from her, sitting at the table, gesturing to the food that she was making.
“Thought I’d make something simple then we’ll go buy you actual food.”
“Alright.” You shrugged.
You began your homework, getting done what you could until the food was ready.
Carol took your homework, setting the plate down in front of you.
“Yes! My favourite!” You cheered.
Carol smiled a bit.
“Yup, I know you love it, so I thought it would be nice. I’ll be back for a while, so I’m going to make sure that you’ll eat real food not takeout.”
“You gonna stay here?”
“If you want, do you still have that spare room available?”
“Oh yeah I kept it done up just in case.”
She smiled at you, sitting down with her own dinner.
When you guys were finished, you grabbed your jacket, giving Carol hers back, making your way into the snowy streets.
Running into the store, you ran straight to the snack aisle.
“(Y/N) no!”
Carol rushed after you, grabbing the back of your jacket.
“No, food then snacks.”
“No! Carol come on!” You whined.
“Nope.”
You huffed, throwing random things into the basket and she kept taking them out and putting them away.
Finding something interesting, you crouched down, holding the chocolate in your hands.
“Carol, Carol look!”
“What’s up?”
She walked over, taking it from your hands to look at.
“Authentic chocolate to make into hot chocolate.”
Carol looked at you, putting it in the basket, going to look for a few others things and you trailed after her.
“Can we make hot chocolate?” You asked.
She walked over to the checkout and you followed her.
“I make a great hot chocolate.”
You carried on putting everything on the checkout.
“I’ll be the judge of that.”
Carol rolled her eyes, paying for everything and putting it all into a couple of bags.
You took one of them and you both made your way back.
“Why are you back anyways? Shouldn’t you be out saving the universe or something?” You asked.
“Well, apparently I have a teenager who needs looking after because they refuse to cook and do normal everybody things.”
“You’re not my mother.”
Carol rolled her eyes.
“I may as well be I look after you enough.”
You ran upstairs stairs, barrelling through the door to your apartment.
Carol came in after you, gesturing for you to put the shopping away which you did while grumbling.
“I’m going to start calling you every week you know, making sure you actually go shopping.”
“I’ll just lie.”
“I’ll send people to check.”
You grinned a little bit at her, and you turned around.
“You really do care huh?”
“Course I do, why else would I be here?”
“To make me hot chocolate…”
“You’re helping I’m not doing it all.”
“Deal!”
You rushed over to her to happily help a huge smile on your face and she smiled as well.
For the longest time she had blamed herself for a lot of things, and then she just happened to stumble across you one day stealing some food.
And you’ve taught her a lot, not she was the unofficial older sister to you and she was happy to look after you.
In a universe where everybody relied on her to save the day and rescue them, you just relied on her to help you with homework and just generally spend time with you playing games or cooking for you

How To Kiss
Pairing: Ellie Williams x reader
Warnings: Confusion about Sexuality. I've never actually read a teen magazine so idk if they had shit like this. Sounded good. Ellie and Reader are like teens in this rn. It's going to fast forward to when they're older in the part 2 im going to do.
I haven't had my first kiss yet. Hopefully someday bros.
Summary: The day you and Ellie discovered you were both gay.
Song: I kissed a girl - Katy Perry
(Btw Credit to Liv McConnel at teen vogue for the kissing steps. I took them from there. )
Also Joel works at an Auto Shop in this.
*Not Proof Read* TLOU Masterlist
Pt. 1 Pt. 2 Pt. 3
*****
My fingers brush over the shiny pages of Savage Starlight. Ellie quietly hums along while tapping her foot on her space themed bed cover.
" Fuck no. " Ellie mutters, flipping the page of the comic. " That ass. " She whispers.
A small grin makes its way onto my face. Ellie's habit of talking to herself while reading her comics is the funniest thing.
I finish the book and turn to look at my best friend. Her brows furrow in concentration. Her top teeth softly bite down on her lower lip, her gaze focused on the pages in front of her. She lets out a sigh and shuts the comic, glancing over at me. " I can't believe we have to wait until next month for the next book. I need to know now! " Ellie complains with a huff.
" I know! " I turn my gaze up at the ceiling. " At least we have the rest of the books to re-read. "
Ellie hums in agreement. " What should we do now? Joel's not going to be home for another hour. He's bringing pizza. "
Ellie's adoptive father was working a late shift at the auto shop he worked at.
" Nice! " I sit up and turn to her. " Guess what I snagged from my sister. " I smirk while pulling open my brightly colored backpack.
" Um uh a dog? "
I roll my eyes. " Why the hell would I keep a dog in my backpack for so long, Ellie. "
Ellie shrugs and leans back against her headboard. " Variety is the spice of life. "
I chuckle. " What the fuck. "
I pull out a teen magazine. " It's a girl magazine thing! My sister has like seventy of these from when she was younger. I found them when I was snooping around this morning! " I grin while flipping through the pages. I open up to a page of Justin Bieber. " Justin Bieber is in like almost all of these! "
Ellie crinkles her nose. " Bro not Justin. "
I roll my eyes and toss one of the magazines to her. " I thought we could look at them. "
We flip through the pages of the magazines. We take some quizzes (All of which Ellie makes fun of) and read some of the advice.
" How To Kiss " Ellie reads out loud. " What the hell. " She goes to turn the page.
" Wait! Let's read it. " I reach for the magazine.
" Why? It's not like you have a boyfriend. " Ellie smirks.
I glare at the girl. " Fuck you, Ellie. I just want to read it, okay? Who knows, we might need that in the future? "
" Fine. " Ellie sighs. " Fine. "
The two of you huddle around the brightly colored magazine.
1. Build up to the kiss.
2. Make sure the kiss has your, and the other party’s, consent.
3. Start things slow.
4. Keep your mouth soft and relaxed.
5. Switch your area of focus and/or your speed.
6. Speaking of area of focus — move things away from their lips.
7. Go easy on the tongue.
8. Don’t overthink it.
9. Talk about it afterward!
" Doesn't sound that hard. I literally could've told you that. " Ellie mutters. " Kissing isn't a hard concept. "
I continue on reading through the different categories. " But like, it seems hard. How do you know if the other person likes it? "
Ellie grabs a small ball from her bedside table and starts throwing it up into the air. " They'll probably tell you. "
" Have you had your first kiss? " I ask while watching the other girl curiously. She would've told me if she'd been kissed, right? I mean, we tell each other everything. It's always been that way, always will be that way.
Ellie pauses throwing the ball and glances down at me. " No. " She admits, a small blush crawling onto her cheeks. " But I mean, kissing can't be that hard. It's like...common sense. People do it all the time. "
I frown. " What if I'm a bad kisser? "
" You won't be. " Ellie shakes her head. " Stop reading that shit, it's getting in your head. Let's just do something else. Like watch a movie or something. "
" Seriously tho, El. What if I'm a bad kisser. What if the person I kiss is so horrified by my kissing, they leave me? " A million scenarios run through my head.
Ellie lets out a groan. " Oh my god. Will you just stop. You're going to be a fine kisser. " Ellie meets your gaze. " Look, if...if you want to...we could like I don't know. Practice or something. " A tinge of red spreads over Ellie's cheeks. She avoids my gaze, instead staring straight at the magazine.
I look at her in shock. Kissing Ellie? I'd be lying if I said I never had thoughts of kissing her before...but everyone has thoughts, right? I mean Ellie's eyes are some of the prettiest I've ever seen. She's definitely attractive. But I like boys. I think. Plus Ellie's not gay. Right?
Ellie shifts uncomfortably. " Never mind, that was-that was stupid of me to offer. Let's just watch a show-"
" No. " I shake my head. " Let's do it. I mean, we both need practice. " Suddenly it feels like my heart starts pounding faster. My fingers feel the urge to fidget with something out of pure anxiety.
Ellie nods and moves the magazine to the side. She positions herself in front of me, on her knees. Ellie eyes meet with mine before she glances down at the magazine, obviously looking over the steps.
I'm about to comment on her hypocrisy when she suddenly puts her hand on my chin. She draws her face close to mine. Her minty breath fans over my mouth, causing me to freeze in anticipation.
Ellie slowly leans in. In seconds, I feel her warm lips on mine.
My heart feels like it explodes. Butterflies seem to soar around my stomach, confusing me. What am I feeling? What is this? How is this happening?
My eyes study Ellie's relaxed face. Her eyes are closed. Her long brown lashes rest peacefully on her cheeks. Deciding to follow her lead, I try to relax. I close my eyes and follow her slow mouth movements.
All worries and thoughts of mine seem to melt away. What are the steps again? I don't remember?
We spend who knows how long kissing before Ellie starts to speed up. She places a small kiss on the corner of my lip before pulling away panting.
The loss of her lips leaves a pit of disappoints in my stomach. I ignore it and look up at her eyes.
An unfamiliar expression is sprawled on her face. Maybe realization?
" That was.." Ellie begins.
" Not bad. " I grin.
Ellie chuckles. " Yeah. Not bad. " Ellie shuts off the radio and turns on the small tv on her dresser. " What should we watch? "
_______
We never kissed again after that. Things remained the same. Ellie and I still hung out every Friday at her house to read comics and watch movies. We sat together at school with Dina and Jesse.
The only things that changed were my feelings. I started to develop a crush on Ellie, not that I could ever act on it. Ellie didn't like me back.
It wouldn't matter anyways. Ellie's sister Sarah ended up getting really sick, causing Ellie's family to move to another state to get better care for her. Somewhere along the line we stopped talking. Slowly, calls every day turned to calls once a week and eventually to once a year.
I get it. Life goes on. I'm in the past. Friendships die. Nothing lasts forever.

Killer in NYC
Tara Carpenter X Reader
Tumblr media
Intro
Tara POV
I stood in line looking up at the menu as if I wasn't going to order the same items I have a million times before.
"I'll have..."
"An iced matcha latte with oat milk." I looked into (y/e/c) behind thick glasses. A mischievous grin painted on my favorite baristas face.
"Good morning Y/n." I grinned blushing slightly.
"Hey Tara, we feeling sweet or savory today?" I tapped my chin looking up.
"I think I'm feeling savory today."
"Breakfast wrap it is. How are your classes going?" I rambled on about the past midterms and upcoming finals while she prepared my breakfast. I had met y/n over a month ago when I'd wandered in the coffee shop half asleep. Since then we'd make small talk and I will admit she was easy on the eyes. Her curly hair always up in a ponytail showing off her undercut. Tattoos peeking from just under the sleeves of her polo. While some found her intimidating I thought of her as a giant teddy bear. She always wore a smile and was polite to even the rudest of customers.
"Here you go." I smiled unwrapping my breakfast first and taking a giant bite.
"Mmm." I moaned making her smile grow wider. As she opened her mouth to say something the door chimed and soon a familiar voice followed.
"Tara!" I turned to find Mindy and Chad coming in and waving enthusiastically. I smiled waving back turning to thank Y/n again only to find her working with the next customer.
"What's up shorty?" Chad said picking me up in a hug as Mindy sat at the nearest table.
"Did you get notes for our next lab?" I nodded pulling out my notebook and sliding them over.
"Mindy do you actually do any work yourself?" She shrugged stealing to drink some of my latte before she began writing.
"I could but there'd be no point since you already have it done." She grinned cheekily as I rolled my eyes stealing another glance at the barista, who was already looking in my direction.
"Hey guys." I snapped my eyes over to my sister who'd pulled the seat next me. Her apron covered in flour as she wiped her hands.
"Sorry I'm a bit of a mess." We talked and caught up as if we hadn't just seen each other at home.
As we headed to the subway I waved goodbye to Y/n as everyone shuffled out she jumped over the counter stopping me before I could go.
"Hey Tara real quick I-"
"Tara!" Sam was waving at me frantically to hurry up. I held up a finger turning back to the slightly taller girl. She rubbed her the back of her neck tan cheeks slightly red.
"You know what? You go catch up I can just talk to you tomorrow yeah?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"You sure?"
"TARA LETS GO!" I looked over to my sister exasperated.
"Yeah no worries." She have a strained smile. "There's always tomorrow right?"
I nodded biting my lip. "Yeah I'll see you tomorrow."
She turned to go back to work as I ran out to meet with the rest of the group sprinting to the subway.
"You couldn't wait ten seconds?" Mindy looked over at me.
"Oop Tara was Sam cockblocking? You got a new boo?" I blushed lightly shaking my head as Chad piped in.
"Tara's got a new man?!" I glanced to the side before looking up to see Mindy frozen.
I followed her line of sight and gasped. Seeing the same mask from my nightmares.
"Sam." I said shakily.
Her head turned to follow my gaze as we looked around the subway. I grabbed my inhaler before putting it to my lips taking a deep breath.
The lights flickered on and off and before I knew it I saw Ghostface standing in front of Mindy hand over her mouth and knife ebbed deep into her stomach.
Looking around for help everyone ignored us as Ghostface began to step towards me.
I kept looking around hoping to catch someone’s eye, everyone still oblivious to the murder that had just taken place.
As I went to scream the killer covered my mouth with a gloved hand, the other pulled back ready to slice into my abdomen.
I shot up to the sound of my iPhone alarm gasping and holding my chest.
I looked to the side to see Sam still sleeping soundly in her bed.
I started getting ready for the day knowing sleep would be inevitable. For the past week I had been feeling more anxious then usual and the nightmares were slowly starting to come back. It was 5 am so I began trudging my way to the coffee shop knowing they'd be opening now. It was only a block away from our apartment and not too far from campus and the subway.
"Goodmorning Ta- hey are you ok?" I looked into comforting brown eyes feeling myself smile a bit.
"Yeah just had some trouble sleeping." Y/n tilted her head to the side glancing at her watch and looking around.
"Feel free to say no but there's a couch in the employee lounge in the back, you can nap there. I'll wake you when it's time to go and have your usual ready yeah?" I looked to the slightly taller girl with wide eyes.
"You won't get in trouble?" She shrugged smirking.
"Meh probably but you're worth it." She winked before leading me over and opening the door to the employee lounge. "Now try to nap I know your usual schedule so I'll just wake you up when it's time to go." I nodded already getting comfortable on the couch.
It felt like seconds before the door slammed open.
"Oh my bad I didn't know anyone was back here." I looked up to see a cute guy standing in the doorway. I glanced down to his name tag Evan. I yawned stretching looking at my watch.
"It's fine I should probably start getting up anyway, y/n said it was cool I slept back here." Evan laughed a bit.
"For a pretty girl sure, I won't tell on either of you as long as I can get your number?" I felt my eyebrows shoot up as my cheeks started to feel warm.
"You don't waste time huh?" He chuckled running a hand through his hair shrugging.
"Hey Evan-" y/n popped in. "Damn sorry Tara I was fixing your order when I saw he came back here." She glanced at Evan who was still looking at me.
"So yes to the number?" He grinned blue eyes sparkling. Y/N's smile dropped slightly as she placed my things on the coffee table in front of me. I looked up to see her staring curiously.
"Sure." She grabbed the chain around her neck twisting the dog tag.
"We'll I better get back to work then. Tara it's about 6:30 so you should probably start heading out." She left abruptly as Evan and I watched before turning back to each other.
I put my number in grabbing my stuff and heading back to the counter.
"Hey y/n how much do I owe you?" She glanced up briefly before putting her focus on the current order she was working on.
"It's on the house, you gotta start heading out if you're gonna catch the subway." I smiled grateful.
"Thanks I owe you." She nodded giving the next customer their drink. I narrowed my eyes seeing she wasn't her usual cheery self.
"Hey are you ok?" She nodded forcing a smile.
"I'm fine, I'll see you later." Another customer came up cutting me off.
I walked to the door as a voice shouted.
"I'll call you later Tara!" I waved to Evan before heading to the subway.

"This week we'll be going over the mind of a serial killer."
I slid in my seat next to Sasha. Her blonde hair almost whipping me in the face as she turned to greet me.
"You're late girly." Carly peering around her snickering.
"For real even I showed up on time today."
I rolled my eyes getting my notebook out as my phone vibrated.
Unknown Number
Hey Tara it's Evan how does a movie and dinner on Thursday sound?
The girls saw the text and stared at me with eyebrows raised.
"Ooooo Tara was late getting her flirt on."
Professor Freddie cleared his throat looking to us.
"Are you girls finished?" I blushed heavily nodding as the other two tried to look innocent holding back laughter.
"Yes sir we're sorry."
As class went on I focused on finishing my notes as my friends continued to tease and whisper next to me.
Once we exited class the girls began to hound me as we walked to the courtyard meeting up with Mindy, Chad, and Kirby.
The girls were still going on about Evan when Chad turned to me.
"Tara's got a new man's?" He grinned cheekily making Mindy look at him in disgust.
"Do you even hear yourself?" Before she turned to me smirking. "But do tell." She wiggled her eyebrows making all of us laugh.
I shook my head. "I literally just got his number it's not a big deal."

6 months later
The small bell rang throughout the shop as I walked in seeing my boyfriend and his coworker making coffee. I walked to the counter catching Evan's attention.
"Hey babe, what can I get you?" I rolled my eyes...men really are clueless. No matter how many times I ordered he never remembered what I got.
"I'll have a-"
"Iced matcha latte with oat milk and a vegan breakfast wrap." Y/n placed the items in front of me turning to Evan as she began pulling off her apron. "You can ring her up I'm going on break."
She went to clock out and dropped another bag in front of me before heading to the back, "and two cake pops in case you have a sweet tooth later."
I smiled thanking her, as she nodded giving me a small smile.
"Hey since you're going on break would you want to hang for a bit? I feel like we haven't talked in a while." It was true for the last few months I'd seen less of the barista. She'd usually be going on break or just disappear whenever I came in. I kind of missed the goofy grins and cheesy jokes.
She shook her head. "Gonna head out for lunch today, but thanks for the offer."
The door bell rang again and I looked to see my friends and sister waving to me heading to our usual booth. I turned back to see Y/n had already gone to the employee lounge. I sighed grabbing the bags and sitting down.
"I'm hoping some of that is for us." I rolled my eyes at Mindy passing her a cake pop. Evan coming to sit with us as another coworker of theirs covered the counter.
"What's up guys?"

3rd Person POV
Across town Carly was entering her apartment as her phone rang. Without checking she answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey uh is this Carly?"
"Who's asking?"
"Brian from Film Theory."
"Brian from Film Theory? I don't know any Brian from Film Theory." The red head rolled her eyes placing her keys in her purse.
"You sure? We had that group project last month. Remember?"
"Not really."
"We went over our favorite scary movies. I called to see what yours was."
The girl sighed. "Look if this is a desperate attempt to ask me out, I gotta tell ya it's not going well."
The voice on the phone chuckled. "We'll shit look-"
The girl hung up before the voice could finish. She began walking further down the hall heels clicking as she did. Her phone rang once more.
"Hey look I-" she hung up again continuing her journey.
Her phone rang once more. "Look man I-"
"NO YOU LOOK BITCH YOU DON'T GET TO HANG UP ON ME! IF YOU DO ILL SLICE YOUR BESTIES FUCKING FACE OFF YOU UNDERSTAND?!"
Carly paused scared. "Fuck you this isn't funny."
Her phone chimed a video of all her friends sitting at the coffee shop.
"Now we're gonna play a little game. If you answer three questions right they live, get them wrong and they die. Understand?"
The girl began sniffling nodding before she answered. "Yes."
"Good question 1-what's the real name of "Chucky" in "Child's Play"?"
The girl paused closing her eyes.
"5" her breathing sped up. As she began typing on her phone.
"4" God why was Google taking so long to load?!
"3" FINALLY!
"CHARLES LEE!" The voice paused.
"Correct. See? It's not so bad. Keep this up and your friends may see tomorrow."
"Question 2-what's the name of the camp where Jason Vorhees drowns in the Friday the 13th series?"
"I know this! Camp Crystal Lake!"
"That is....correct. Looks like you do like scary movies."
"Final Question-how many people did Jason kill in the first Halloween film?"
"5"
The girl types frantically: How many people died in Friday the 13th?
"4"
How many people has Jason killed since Friday the 13th....NO
She continues scrolling.
"3"
She clicks the list of kills in the original film.
"2"
"1"
"10!"
"Wrong." He whispers the girl gasps.
"No that has to be right!" I have the list of deaths right in front of me.
"Wrong, Jason Vorhees didn't kill anyone in the first film it was all his mothers doing before she was decapitated."
The girl stands still in shock getting ready to dial 9-1-1.
"Time to die."
"No!" She goes to run when her hair is pulled back a figure appearing right behind her slicing her neck from ear to ear. Her body dropped to the floor as the taller figure stepped over her getting close and taking a selfie with the lifeless body.
Using her phone he sends a text to the pinned group chat.
Surprise Sam! ;)
