Random Eddie headcanons (feat. Wayne) for a happier timeline where vol. 2 didn't happen:
(Some mentions of domestic abuse)
The first time Eddie didn't pass senior year it was because he skipped classes and homework to practise guitar, because who needs a GED when you're gonna be a rock star?
Second time he failed it was because he ended up in hospital after getting beaten up, missing vital exams. He didn't mind though, it was for a good cause.
Eddie isn't stupid, he's actually pretty clever. He is just incapable of paying attention if he's bored, or if he has zero respect for the person teaching him.
He and Mrs O'Donnell have an ongoing feud because he proved her wrong once in front of everyone, and he knows that she marks him down because of it. It's a running joke in that class now.
He and Wayne go fishing every few weeks. Eddie cannot fish for the life of him, but Wayne enjoys it. To entertain himself, Eddie takes a battered acoustic into that boat and plays the Beatles because 'the fish like it'. (It's for Wayne really).
Wayne also loves camping, but Eddie hates it. They go away for a couple of weeks and 'rough it' by sleeping in a couple of battered tents under the stars, and it always takes Eddie a full year to recover from the trauma and agree to go again.
When he was a kid, Eddie's dad used to beat him and his mom, and one day he went too far and killed her, landing himself in prison. Wayne had recently come back from service, immediately took the kid in and disowned his brother for what he'd done.
Eddie had always been a creative kid. If he couldn't be a rock star he'd 'settle' for being a tattoo artist. He draws as often as he plays guitar.
Wayne has a friend that co-owns a tattoo parlor that's willing to take him on, but only after he graduates.
After Vecna, when Eddie was recovering in hospital (hushh, he's FINE, damn it), Wayne would read to him while he slept. He and Dustin got to know each other a little, too.
Some Steddie influenced headcanons:
Wayne has no problems with Eddie dating guys, girls, whatever, as long as he doesn't 'hear anything'. He is very wary of Steve at first though, thinking his nephew is only going to get his heart broken.
Eddie gets on strangely well with Steve's dad, even if he does refer to him as 'Steven's friend'. They had an intense 'discussion' at a family dinner, even though they disagree completely at a fundamental and political levels. Steve's astounded, but lets it go.
Steve never calls D&D by its real name, only things like 'dingbats and dumbasses'. He's getting very creative, and Eddie finds it hilarious. Dustin hates it.
Steve's plays exactly one game with the party, and is banned for constantly messing with Eddie by either trying to do dumb things (ie that meme where the guys are trying to seduce a door), or by playing footsie under the table.

Ohhhh, she is using the same cathedral background as the one on the Kalafina Winter Acoustic album cover!(Oh, no, I got a little too excited there for a moment and didn't double-check before writing this, it's not the same image after all. Still, it looks like she was at least heavily inspired by that Kalafina cover). At any rate, it seems particularly fitting when you consider SPICE's Takeshi Kato mentioning that he felt like “Awe” was very reminiscent of her old Kalafina style. I'll admit, I initially wouldn't have made that connection but the longer I listen to the song, the more sense it makes. And it would definitely explain why I am so smitten with it. Damn, I'm obsessed. And I mean, he is not wrong, the song is certainly on a Kalafina-level of dark and dramatic. That bridge with the strings and choir is pretty epic too. I can say with confidence now that is my absolute favourite freelancer solo track so far. And I am glad her singing in the studio version is a bit more polished. She still sounds raw but it suits the atmosphere of the song.

Serendipity (Eddie Munson x Reader)
Summary: While reading a fanfiction you suddenly get sucked into the world of Stranger Things. This is a reader interactive story where readers get to cast a vote on what happens next!

You took Eddie's hand and led him out of the smoke room and towards the back of the hallway to your door. You opened it up, thankful there was no one inside when you did. You shut the door behind you once you were both in, and Eddie gave you a strange look.
You laughed.
"I'm not being weird, Munson, just hang on." You told him, going to your closet. You'd seen it earlier that morning; an acoustic guitar was nestled in the back of your closet. You grabbed it, pulled it out, and brought it over to him.
"I don't know if it's in tune… I can't remember the last time I played it." You told him, as his fingers wrapped around the neck.
"You play?" He asked, looking at you a little surprised.
You nodded. "Since I was a kid."
He placed the strap over his shoulder and strummed, wincing when he heard how out of tune it was. He remedied this quickly, strumming and turning the tuning pegs until he was satisfied. He gave another full strum, grinning.
"See? You did that so fast. You're…really good at guitar, Eddie."
He rolled his eyes, and moved to sit on your bed. You sat next to him.
"Play something for me?" You asked, smiling.
He stuck his tongue out in thought for a second before turning the tuning pegs again, then started strumming.
You immediately recognized the song. Your face felt hot as he began singing.
Highway run, into the midnight sun.
He wasn't the best at it, but his voice wasn't too bad, and he kept on pitch. You were surprised he was playing a Journey song, but not dissatisfied.
And lovin' a music man ain't always what it's supposed to be.
Oh girl you stand by me.
I'm forever yours,
Faithfully.
He got through the song, and on his final strum, he looked at you with a cheeky little smile. Like he was smug; like he was trying to get you to do what you were about to do.
You did it. You leaned in and kissed him, finally. He cupped your cheek, leaning into you.
You lifted a hand to touch his chest, but instead banged it into the guitar. You pulled back, the both of you chuckling as he pulled the guitar off and set it on the floor. He kissed you again, a smile still on his lips.
He laid you back, settling between your thighs. You bent your legs at the knees, caging his hips between them. His kiss became more passionate, his hand gliding down your cheek and ghosting across your breast until he reached your hip. His thumb pushed up your shirt as he rubbed soft circles into your skin.
His lips left yours to slide down your jaw, placing open mouthed kisses as he trailed down your neck. Your head tipped back, giving him more room. He suckled on your skin softly, making you squeeze your thighs around him. Your hands slid from his shoulders to his arms, feeling his biceps through his shirt.
You were both pretty high, you’d both been drinking; was this a good idea? Probably not, you decided, but everything in you wanted him to keep going, even if you - scratch that, even if he regretted this tomorrow - you sure as hell wouldn’t.
You pressed your hips up against his softly, looking for some sort of friction. He groaned against your skin, his own hips giving a soft roll in response. He wasn’t fully hard yet. You could tell, mostly because everyone knew that Eddie was hung like a horse. There was just no other option.
But you could feel him there, through his jeans, semi-hard and pressing against you. He bit down on your neck as he gave another roll of his hips and you gasped in response, your hand coming up to cup the back of his head to hold him there.
His hips found a pace he was comfortable with; one that he liked, and you both rocked softly against each other until you could fully feel him. You moaned as his lips left your neck to meet yours once more.
“Eddie,” You whimpered against his lips as his hips rolled particularly hard against yours.
“What, doll?” He asked, pulling back to look at you. His pupils were blown with lust; round and dark.
“More, I need more.” You pleaded.
He seemed more than happy to oblige. He pushed up the skirt of your black dress and dipped his fingers past your pantyline. Calloused fingertips were quick to find your clit, the both of you making a soft noise in response. His, because of how wet you were; yours because of the way he felt.
He swirled his finger around your clit, making you moan softly. Your hips pressed up into his hand. You couldn’t believe this was happening. This was actually happening. Your hand reached for his belt, pulling it open and sliding it out. You tossed it across the room before plucking his button open, your hands reaching in to grasp him.
You stroked him slowly as he sucked in a sharp breath. He pressed into your hand, just as you were pressing into his. You worked each other in tandem, soft moans passing back and forth between your lips.
Eddie’s free hand slid up to your breast, squeezing as he released a low breath.
“Fuck…want you.” He groaned as he pulled from the kiss.
You nodded frantically. This was it. It was going to happen. You didn’t know when you would be back home so you had to take this chance when you could.
