Nightmare has several different mugs which all contain some sort of mockery, sarcasm or straight up threats specifically to be used around his subordinates
Nightmare is a mean girl like that
The Trio hate these mugs with a passion (Killer has definitely gotten in trouble for breaking some of them on purpose)

Do you think good people can be horrible parents? Why do some people treat everyone around them with respect and then turn around and not extend the same grace to their own children?
No. I absolutely do think bad parents can have good qualities and do good things in some contexts, but I don't think you're genuinely a good person altogether if you neglect or abuse your child. Being a good person requires more than being nice in a couple select contexts

When I was a kid, I regularly lost reading privileges for "having an attitude" and "acting out".
It wasn't as simple as being told not to read during other activities- one of the first times it happened, I remember being six years old, watching my stepfather pull fistfuls of books off my bookshelf and throw them to the floor in a heaping mess while I cried and asked him to stop.
It was weird. Every other adult I knew described me as exceptionally well-behaved, but at home, it was the opposite, and it was blamed on "learning bad habits from that shit you're reading".
Because I couldn't read at home, I spent all my free time at school in the library, reading with my friends.
When I grew up and moved away, I realized that my family life was toxic and abusive, and the "attitudes" I was being punished for were standing up for myself, standing up for my younger siblings, and resisting actual, real-life psychological abuse. Because I'd learned from what I'd read that my family wasn't normal, not like my parents said it was, and in my stories, the heroes were the people who spoke out when it was hard to.
It is insane to me that there are students right now who can't access books. It is insane that books are being outlawed. It is perverse that we are stealing away an entire generation's ability to contextualize their lives, to learn about the world around them, to develop critical thinking skills and express themselves and feel connected to the world or escape from it, whatever and whenever and however they need.
That is not how you raise a compassionate, thoughtful, powerful society.
That's how you process cattle.
It's fucking disgusting.

my mind keeps circling back to "my silence was his peace" because that only proves truer by the hour. i am overflowing with respect for shubble; the amount of bravery and vulnerability it must take to put yourself in a position to be a catalyst like that is staggering. wishing her nothing but peace and happiness from here on out.

it really is crazy how women abusing men is still regularly (if "jokingly") viewed as a positive thing. like literally today i was talking to someone about having watched both misery & sunset boulevard in a film class & both of those being about men being abused by women & the person's response was smth like. haha yeah that's so empowering. like obviously these are fictional characters but y'all realize that treating individual human men like poppets to punish Mankind for it's Sins is fucked up and evil yeah. also this directly translates into how trans men are treated as free punching bags for people to take out their anger at more powerful cis men. idk call me crazy but i feel like if you can't hear about men being abused by women without making a "joke" about it maybe you just have a deep problem you need to work on

instagram post: *video of a woman gently encouraging a hesitant child to go down a slide*
the first comment: this woman is violently pressuring her child to do something that they are clearly terrified to do, children should NEVER have to do anything they don't want to do, this kid is being abused and will grow up to hate their mother i hope someone calls cps on her
the second comment: kids are so thin skinned these days if it were my kid i would push it down the slide and laugh at it if it cried. this is the only way we will win the culture war
the third comment: she should have used a condom. this would make a great condom ad. no one cares that someone came in you. kids are not human. i hate kids so much.
the fourth comment: DM ME """HELP""" 🤝💪😤 I AM PAYING OFF DEBT OF FIRST 5 🎉 TO DM 💯💯💵💵 DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY 😍

coming across posts on tumblr you have only seen off tumblr/in screenshots is like finally being able to see the mona lisa in real life but instead of taking a trip to go see it the painting is just thrown through your window every once in a while, like that one time where my dad threw an entire frozen pizza right at my face after accidentally letting some of the pepperonis dropped to the floor when I was 11, it was actually really traumatizing to me at that age but looking at it now its just funny and if I brought it up to him we would laugh and laugh except we wouldn’t laugh because he’s in prison for abuse and fraud charges, I haven’t seen him in a while. Like that one tumblr post

While Tim was setting up the final touches to rig Ra's base to blow, he finds someone that could be his carbon copy in the dungeons. The guy is unconscious, chained to the wall with multiple chains, and branded.
Tim, obviously, grabs Pru for a last minute extraction and gets the prisoner the hell out of there.
He knows this isn't a clone, because the earlobes are different, as is the brow shape and hair thickness. This is just...someone that apparently looked enough like Tim that Ra's, unconfirmed but APPARENTLY, decided to use to take out his aggression. Probably whenever Tim didn't listen.
They get the doppleganger out, get him treated, and he still isn't waking up. Tim takes him back to Gotham. The dude doesn't wake up. Gets him secured in the Bunker with Alfred. Alfred reports that the under-fed teen isn't waking up.
They get Bruce back.
Bruce goes to take a look at the ex-prisoner once he's recovered. Bruce gets Zatanna.
Zatanna tells them that the brand is acting as a seal, and the only way to get the kid to wake up is to disrupt the seal. But warns them that said seal only works on Beings from the Realm between Realms, and that to unleash one that had been abused would surely lead to the destruction of their own.
Tim calls bullshit.
Or; Danny was tricked and trapped by Ra's, who was siphoning blood out of him to add to the Pits and increase their efficacy. Tim finds Danny, misreads the situation, and rescues him. Now, even though Danny would probably just roll over and go back to sleep, JLD is telling the Bats that if they break the seal then he'll destroy the world. Tim disagrees.

I didn't realize your reasons and I didn't know your plans, until I became the same age you were back then and it horrifies me. I wish you had done more so I could prove the world I am right, and I wish you had done nothing to me at all. Isn't it weird how it works?

*goes up to person who is being stalked by their abuser and is actively trying to avoid them* errrrrm have you considered why an ABUSER feels so comfortable in your spaces?????? other people get kicked out by abusers while they want to let you live with them, how can you not see how privileged you are???? you need to take some responsibility for how much your abuser wants to be around you. tbh you are probably also an abuser or will become one in a few years anyways. yes this post is about TERF conversion therapy directed at transmascs

omg you’re so right men are not dangerous to women at all so i guess i can totally go out alone at night all by myself and if i get raped by a man it will surely mean nothing and i should keep trusting men and think there is nothing wrong with them 😍😍😍
Trusting every strange man in the dark ≠ understanding that men aren’t ontologically evil, OR necessarily your personal oppressors, which is what I am saying. Women have literally killed or gotten killed men (especially men of color) that THEY have privilege over on some axes due their fear. So yeah, there is a way to fear men too much. This is how you get radical feminism. This is how you get TERFism. It feeds hate groups like MRAs to be genuinely hated for the way they were born. And it’s not how you progress actual intersectional feminism. To do that, you have to heal your relationship with men. I’ve been raped by men. I’ve been abused by men. But I understand that, while the societal conditions men are raised under (patriarchy, rape culture) contributed, it happened because they’re personally terrible people, not because they were born male. Acting like it is can lead you to dismiss the fact that women can pose just as much of a danger if they’re similarly terrible people. So, I’m working on healing my relationship with men. When you’re ready, you should too. I promise you it feels better than being uneasy for the rest of your life.
