the writers kinda fucked up Sesshomaru’s character real bad in the sequel. like if I was prompted with “Sesshomaru marries rin and has kids” and needed to write his character I wouldn’t have made many of the choices that they made. Idk. The fact that he’s not around seems really strange esp since he let rin follow him everywhere when she was a kid despite the danger and interruptions to his plans. Like… rumiko takahashi showed him coming by just to visit and bearing gifts in the last chapter. Sure, I guess he’d be not around 24/7, but clearly he drops by frequently enough that nobody is shocked to see him. It seems fuckin bizarre to me that he would visit her a bunch as a kid but then fuck off when she literally gives birth to his children????
Like to be dead serious, I think it’s an awkward character choice for him to be with rin romantically in the first place since the entire series sets her up with Kohaku, but if you gotta have a trio of half demon siblings for the sequel, sure I get it, shoehorn it in so you have an interesting story to tell with new characters. That being said they could have done a better job writing him so that he reacts in character to the things happening to him. : / seeing how attentive he was to rin when she was travelling with him it makes legitimately zero sense for him to be be an absent father LMFAO

STUDY IN LOKI ROMANCE
Part 3: 1893
Since we're only a few days away from the last episode, I decided to COUNT DOWN everything we´ve got so far ( that can be interpreted very easily as romantic ) and discuss what the actual fuck is going on with second season. Because even though I shipped lokius practically from S1E2, I absolutely did NOT expect this kind of development. (Not that I´m complaining)
Warning: This is gonna be LONG post, lots of screenshots, lots of SPOILERS, lot of "oh-my-god-they-so-cute" language, and little bit of meta.
I originally thought that this post would be everything at once, but since I have just too many screenshots this time around, I´ll have to split it. so every post will be one episode. Color coding means:
IIIIIIIIII = anything, that coud potentialy be just acting choice.
IIIIIIIIII = everything else (tzn.: whatever was written, and/or carefully prepared by filmmakers. )
side note: I already wrote, about how amazing it is, that Mobius is unable to fight but fights anyway and how beautifuly, and ridiculously brave he is HERE. But this is about Loki/Mobius interactions, so I´ll try my best not to talk about THAT. (Even when I´m really happy, that s2 continues with this formula and Mobius is still his completely defenseless while aggressively brave self. I love him, btw.)

I know I already said this somewhere, but, this is the moment, where in my language suddenly (completely randomly) switched from formal way of speaking to each other to intimate way of speaking to each other. And they were all like GREAT idea, let´s have them riding tandem bike while chasing Ravonna and Timely, that makes complete sense! (even when we have Loki chasing Brad USING MAGIC one episode back)

After receiving that fateful ask from @cutelittleriot, I decided to go look for some more fics! I'm looking for some Balam stuff, but these are some other neat ones I found while still looking for the kinds of fics cutelittleriot requested! All of these are on Ao3, so here you go:
Balam Shichiro's Guide to Humanity by FortunateCookie: Balam asks Iruma about human stuff! No ships, as far as I can tell, and just generally the two being chill. Balam realizes how weird humans are. As of the time I'm writing this, the story is incomplete with four chapters and was laat update about 1-2 months ago.
Flightless by Sleepycoffeeaddict13: another 'Grounding' fic (maybe I should start trying to compile all the grounding fics I find...) where the teachers discover that Iruma has lots of scars and doesn't have wings and everyone wants to murder Iruma's parents! Chapters 1-2 focus on the teachers while the third has Opera and Sullivan appearing. Completed with three chapters.
Unhinged by Sleepycoffeeaddict13: this is actually a 2 story series! The first story is Predator, which is completed at 2 chapters and is about Iruma going FERAL at the harvest festival (but in a predator way) and the instructors' reactions to it as they watch him fight a hellbear and also an intruder. The second story is (In)human Instincts which is completed at 1 chapter and is about Kalego talking to Balam about Iruma being feral and about the intruder Iruma beat the crud out of, also Balam and Iruma moments. Warning, though, this one features stuff like blood and gore (Iruma kind of...rips out a throat of a monster here...) so watch out for that.
Accidental Demonic Grandfather Acquistion by Passing_Ghost_Friend: instead of Iruma being adopted by Sullivan when he was 14, he was adopted when he was a little baby 🥺🥺🥺 (lets all just strangle iruma's parents)
Female Humans what?! by Sol_Victoria: Sullivan, Opera, and Balam learn about menstruation from Irumi. They are absolutely flabbergasted and mildly horrified. Small nitpick, but I was kind of getting annoyed by Irumi's stutter —Iruma's genderbent in this one, by the way! — but if you can ignore that, the fic is pretty interesting. Completed at 3 chapters.
Don't Leave Me by draconicshinx: kind of angsty at the start/first chapter, but the second chapter is really sweet! Basically, after an attack on the school, Azz and Clara get injured and Iruma uses his blood to heal them revealing his identity in the process. TONS of Love Trio content!! Completed at 2/2 chapters.
wait, do they know?! by Xatsperesso: a short fic, but very entertaining! Ameri and Balam both know that Iruma is human. The problem is that they don't know that the other person knows. And so — they try to 'protect' Iruma from the other person, not knowing that both of them know about his human-ness and want the best for him. Hilarity ensues. Also, quick Purson appearance near the end. Completed at one chapter.
Technicalities by RoxyRay28: a completed 3 chapter fic about Iruma's dumb idiot parents having another baby thinking that Sullivan would give them more money cuz they ran out, but nope, it just means Sullivan gets a new granddaughter and it's just generally chill stuff.
exception by spicygrass: a completed fic about the first time Balam showed Kalego his mouth, set when they were still in highschool. Very cute and fluffy! Could be interpreted as romantic or platonic.
So THAT'S Eggie-sensei?! by SpareMeA_Striike: Robin finds out that Kalego is Iruma's familiar, and that escalates to him finding out Iruma is a human. Cool read.
A Spoonful of Sugar by silvershadowkit: four words — sickfic, love trio, fluff. Literally what else could you ask for? Iruma gets the common cold, Azz and Clara visit him, and it's all cute and I'm evaporating.
Heartbeats and Bloody Knuckles by Kickitwithyou: Kalego and Balam when they were young and in the harvest festival! Completed at one chapter. It's a Kalego/Balam ship fic, btw.
The Practical Pirouette by frolickingfiend: Babylis era Balam and Kalego ship fic where there's a school dance and Balam wants to go but his talons make it hard for him to dance. Opera plays matchmaker. Completed at one chapter.
Roulette by Marshmellowtoast: Balam becomed a substitute for Momonoki's class and teaches a species swap spell! Pretty chill. Completed at one chapter.
A Familiar Promise by Kickitwithyou: role swap/age swap between Iruma and Kalego where Iruma is a teacher during Kalego's time as a student in Babylis! Completed at one chapter.
Celebrating Demonic Rites with Chocolates by Kickitwithyou: Babylis era Kalego and Opera and Balam! Kalego's birthday is on the same day as Alliance Day, the demon equivalent of Valentine's Day and he doesn't realize. Implied Balam x Kalego near the end because I support that ship <3 completed at one chapter.
Are You Serious? Right In Front Of My Trumpet??? by WyvernQuill: Purson-centric fic complete with 4 chapters. It features Purson chilling out (or trying to) but being interrupted by people PDA-ing near him because they don't realize he's there and him just being. Absolutely done w this bullshit. Also one of the people is Gyari and one of the ships is Gyari/Kuromu which we really need to see more of on Ao3 honestly!
If you're goin' my way (turn around) by squidballsinc: Kalego gets summoned by Iruma and suddenly chased around by the misfits! It's a very entertaining, fluffy and fun read.
For Neither Love Nor Money by WyvernQuill: a splendid, completed 10/10 chapter fic where the other teachers find out Kalego is *loaded* and thus try to woo him. Shenanigans galore! Also, Balam x Kalego is the main ship. Lemme tell ya, I was looking for this fic for a while so I could include this in the list! (Subtle love trio, too!)
The Weaving of Lilith's Carpet by writerkat: Babylis era Kalego and Balam when they were having their Music Festival stuff and Kalego was chosen to play the piano (Lilith's Carpet). Aroace Kalego? Neat! Completed at one chapter.
Mending Anonymity by writerkat: Balam and Nafra! I don't see Nafra in fics often, which is a shame 'cuz she's super fun. Nafra's cloak gets torn and Balam helps repair it, also helping with her confidence! Compmeted at one chapter.
The Internship from Hell by Kickitwithyou: unfortunately, this fic only has one chapter and hasn't been updated since 2021... but that one chapter is very entertaining, at least. Human daycare AU where Opera, Balam and Kalego work as daycare employees and look after the Misfit Class. First chapter focuses mostly on Clara.
His Sun and Moon (Love trio drabble) by Meeparino: love trio 🥺🥺🥺🥹🥹🥹 i am actively disintegrating. The netherworld has two moons and the author is using that metaphor to attack my soul and make me melt into a puddle of bliss-drunk goo. Completed at one short but sweet chapter.
Evil Phase Projection by ScatteredNova (Timewormbloom): love trio focused story where after Azz's mom got into her Evil Phase, Iruma got concerned due to his own trauma and Azz and Clara got concerned and there's plenty of fluff! Completed at 3 chapters.
we're soulmates, i think... by cookiescrumbles: a series of oneshots focusing on love trio! Need O say more? Angst with hurt comfort.
Soulmates: The Love Trio by seereeus: more love trio because I am a dirty rat. Most of the fic is based on that one omake with the trio's mornings before school, but its very sweet still!
My Sea, My Star. It is you I adore by Ravifan: its a love trio fic. I'm sure that you're seeing a pattern here. It's a one chapter drabble where I think the trio are adults and married, and Azz is pondering his soulmates!

Hello! I love Lionheart (literally started four days ago and have read continuously since and am, in a word, Obsessed).
One thing I've noticed that is a common theme among Dramoine fics is how Draco gets away with his pureblood ideology and essentially has no consequences (besides Hermoine's anger/disgust) until his eventual redemption arc through their romance. However, I've noticed that your fic is unique in the way that Draco is constantly held accountable, especially backlash from Ron (btw, love the way you characterized Ron, my boy deserves some justice) and Harry, but especially through Hermoine, who fights back in any way she knows how. So my question is: what are your thoughts on this common trope within the Dramoine fandom? Do you think that Draco's eventual love for Hermoine negates the harm that he's done in the past?
I absolutely believe that love can be redemptive, but that doesn't mean you redeem yourself by loving. It's not about how you feel, it's about what you do. You can love someone a whole lot, but if you don't treat them well, and make a real effort to be good to them, well — I mean, I'm not saying it doesn't "matter," because everything always matters, but I wouldn't say that love has really changed you. Which is to say, I don't know that it's really love at all.
Draco can't be made better by the fact of loving Hermione, but he can make himself better because of it. Reasoning past, getting over, and making amends for his past wrongdoing should — ideally — be part of that development. Now, this is assuming that you want to do a real, honest-to-God, "I'm going to drag this horrible little wet blorbo kicking and screaming into Heroism" redemption arc. Maybe you don't! Maybe you want to write a story about two fucked-up people who fuck each other up more. Maybe you want to write about a bad man who isn't held accountable, and the kind of person that produces. Draco Malfoy can be many people, depending on where you take him, and many of them are interesting without being particularly nice or good. And you can still do great fiction about that! Romances with and between horrible characters can be totally delicious. I'm a big fan of 'em. But the kind of love I personally prize the most — the kind that makes us, if anything can earn this word, really, truly holy — is a love that's so selfless you are willing to be changed by it, and to change for it, and to constantly reforge yourself in order to do justice to the object of your love. It's veneration. It's finding in each other a reason for goodness. That's what I think real humans should look for, and so I guess I can't help trying to write about it when it comes to fake humans.
So when we talk about love as the catalyst for a redemption arc, I think what we mean is: love can awaken you to the personhood of others and ignite latent capacities for empathy that might not have existed otherwise. It opens you up to new ways of seeing, of being — James Baldwin in The Price of the Ticket has a brilliant quotation that captures it perfectly:
"If your lover lives in Hong Kong and cannot get to Chicago, it will be necessary for you to go to Hong Kong. Perhaps you will spend your life there, and never see Chicago again. And you will, I assure you, as long as space and time divide you from anyone you love, discover a great deal about shipping routes, airlines, earth quake, famine, disease, and war. And you will always know what time it is in Hong Kong, for you love someone who lives there. And love will simply have no choice but to go into battle with space and time and, furthermore, to win."

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 53, but full disclosure, I haven't yet moved everything I've written to AO3 yet.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 885,181 (but honestly, OBaaT Georg is an outlier, and maybe shouldn't have been counted...)
3. What fandoms do you write for? Currently? Ever? Currently, it's SuperCat and, more recently, Guiding Light/Otalia. Stupid unfinished WIP that has haunted me for 15 years...
4. What are your top five fics by kudos? These are all SuperCat, btw. One Bridge at a Time, At the Pleasure of the Hotel de la Paix, Uncharted (part 11), At Sea, and (the shocker) Steel Blue.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, as many as I can. I've been known to respond to some years after they were written. Comments are the lifeblood of my writing. One comment at the right time can inspire so much. Sometimes, even the completion of a lingering unfinished story...
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Easily, my tears ricochet (Mirandy). My wife (Lisof9) and I took a vow decades ago (pre-dating, even) that we would always write happy, hopeful endings where the couple is together.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Everything else? See above. That doesn't mean there isn't angst. My wife taught me everything I know about chasing characters up burning trees and then lobbing grenades and feral raccoons at them. She also taught me about cliffhangers.
8. Do you get hate on fic? Once. A long time ago on an ER fic, of all things. I didn't write a word for two years after that.
9. Do you write smut? Yes. I'm kinda known for that. It is sometimes even requested, meaning the prompt is given to me because it requires smut.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Hmm... Not really? Let me explain. One of my SuperCat stories mentions Emily Carlton from The Devil Wears Prada, and one of my Guiding Light stories has a brief cameo from a character on Saving Grace. The only true crossover I've ever written was wacky. It was Star Trek: Voyager and CSI: Miami. Decide for yourself: Wackiness. It's short.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not sure I understand the question. You mean plagiarized.? There was a rash of that happening in the early 2000s, I think, but my readers always let me know.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I'm not sure. Probably.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Oh, absolutely! My wife should be considered my co-writer in everything because I have been known to pick her brain when I'm stuck. I've also co-written in the Guiding Light/Otalia fandom and in the L&O: SVU Casey/Olivia fandom.
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship? Oh, lord love a duck. SuperCat is certainly my once-and-future obsession. I've been writing them for over seven years at this point and, at last count, have 10 WIPs in the works for them.
My OTP Prime, though, is B'Elanna/Seven from Star Trek: Voyager because that's how I met my wife.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but probably won’t? Hide Beside Me (Guiding Light/Otalia) has haunted me for 15 years, but remember when I said comments were the lifeblood of writing? Someone commented on it last week which revived my interest in finishing the story. I have a draft for chapter 32 in my WIPs folder right now because of that. I hope I finally get to check that one off my to-do list.
16. What are your writing strengths? Research, capturing character personalities, dialogue, and romance.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Fight scenes and the fact that I'm so slow as a writer.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Actually, I have a plan to write an Astrid/Raphaelle story in French when I feel I'm up to snuff in French again. I can't wait. I love that ship.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Ever? Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Buck/Wilma, on my handwriting practice pad from school. I was 10. Published in a 'zine? A Star Trek: The Next Generation Worf/Deanna story. Published online? Xena, Warrior Princess.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Currently, there are two:
Queen of Hearts, (ST:Voy, B/7), because it was a love letter to the woman who is now my amazing wife.
One Bridge at a Time, (Supergirl, SuperCat). I'm proudest of this one because it took me seven years to write, came in at 310+k words, and I finished it. I never gave up on it. It was always in my mind. And now I'm working on a sequel to it. :)

I just read your Who Stole Westeros article (great onde, btw!), and it got me thinking: how could the crown undo all the financial damage Littlefinger did?
This is something that I've discussed in bits and pieces, but I think it's a good idea to have one place where I lay out my ideas.
Accurate Intelligences
The first thing that needs to happen is that the crown needs to get an accurate understanding of its finances and make that understanding known to the necessary stakeholders. This starts with a very thorough audit of both the Crown's books and Littlefinger's books, preferably done with the participation of the Iron Bank (not only do they have the necessary expertise to see through Baelish's fraud, but bringing them into the process at an early stage will make later negotiations easier because they're more likely to feel "part of the team" and not like a bombshell's been dropped on them).
The second step is, I would argue, a document laying out, in detail, what the Crown's incomes, expenditures, and debts actually are - and the extent of Littlefinger's fraud and embezzlement - is absolutely vital for rebuilding trust from the Crown's major creditors. Think of this as a somewhat more private (and hopefully more honest) Compte Rendu. Not only is having an accurate understanding vital for future policymaking, but it's also a way of framing the overall narrative to your creditors that defines the universe of how much you can afford to pay back and how much you should pay back.
Debt Forgiveness
After the full scope of the economic damage is known, the first priority should be to A. recoup as much of the losses as possible, and B. reduce the debt that has to be paid as much as possible. As far as A goes, the absolute de minimus strategy should be to seize the entire Baelish estate - not just the gold, but also the brothels, the ships, the commodities futures, the debts of various noble houses and merchants, the lands and titles belonging to Harrenhal - and those of all of his minions in the royal bureaucracy, and use that to improve the royal income-to-debt ratio by paying off some of what's owed, with as much as possible going to principal over interest.
Secondly, there's a strong need for debt relief. That's a touchy subject around creditors, but it's still one that has to be faced - and is made somewhat easier by the War of Five Kings. So if Renly or Stannis had won, it would absolutely been in their interests to declare the Crown's debt to House Lannister repudiated on the grounds of treason, thus reducing the total owed by 50% (assuming that the Crown actually owes 3 million to House Lannister and 6 million overall). On the flip side, and this is somewhat paradoxical, it is rather surprising that at no point after the death of King Robert does the Lannister regime forgive debt it effectively owes to itself, even if that would be to its ultimate advantage.
Restructuring Finances
Ultimately, though, the nice thing about being a government is that (barring a revolution or foreign conquest) you are effectively immortal, and thus even staggeringly huge debts can be dealt with - over a long enough time horizon. Look at the example of British war debt:
It turns out, constantly fighting imperial wars and then having to fight two world wars is very expensive, but just hanging on as a going concern was enough to gradually reduce the debt-to-gdp ratio down to manageable levels. It really helps if you have a central bank, a sinking fund, and strong levels of economic growth, but just staying alive is the big ticket.
However, in order for time to heal all wounds, one of the things that has to happen is some debt restructuring aimed at reducing the interest rate owed on the royal debt. Pretty much all previous steps I've outlined, from sharing information to cultivating stakeholders to paying off as much as you can from Littlefinger's coffers, etc. are aimed at trying to soften the negotiating ground for this step, because medieval interest rates were really high (largely as a hedge against frequent defaults), around 12% on average. It's pretty hard to grow your way out of that, so bringing down those rates is the top priority. Once you've gotten them as low as you can, you want to negotiate for the longest repayment window possible.

I’m going to rant. I’m going to rant so much because Secret Invasion was so awful.
I really was hoping this would be a grounded, Winter-Soldier-style show. I mean, they keep getting these A-list actors to do this! They got Olivia Coleman! After she got an Oscar! I understand if five years ago, every actor in Hollywood wanted in, but now? Honestly, if I were one of them, I would get as far away as possible. This is a sinking ship. Especially because the MCU gives almost no information about the characters before hiring them. But what ends up happenning is that once they’re committed, they realize the shitty script they have to do. Isn’t one of SAG-AFTRA proposals is to let actors have information about a role/project at the time of audition? And it was rejected?
I saw an interview from the actor who plays Gravik and I was very upset because he was very apathetic. But after seeing what he had to work with, I get him. Again, he probably had no idea of the script but trust Marvel and he shouldn’t have. His evil monologue at the end! 😖 And it’s so frustrating because in the Barbie movie, he’s lovely! He could have been a very charismatic villain with a good script and director.
Olivia did a great job. But I doubt we’re going to see her again. She said she wanted to be in the MCU no matter what, but she deserved a better project.
Unfortunately, Giah has no personality. Even in the show, who cared about her? Talos loved her of course, but she turned against him for an organization who didn’t give a shit about her. She had no authority there. When she got killed, who cared? And she’s a terrtorist. She didn’t stop the explosions, which no one ever mentioned again, btw. Let’s pray, the low ratings make Marvel forget about her. Don’t tell me Emilia Clarke didn’t think this was worse that s8 of GOT? At least that one had 7 good seasons before that. This was bad from start to end.
AND, she stole those superpowers. Didn’t we have a whole Agent Carter season about Howard Stark keeping Steve’s blood and how inmoral that was? And now Nick Fury did the same to everyone!!! What the hell was his plan? Clone them? Are the avengers ever gonna learn about this? What about the Black Panther. It was on the list. But those powers are attached to Wakanda. Like, what did we have Wakanda Forever for? T’Challa and Shuri had to go through a whole ritual, they went to see their ancestors!!! The powers are not the most important part of the character. There can be ten heroes with superstrength, but it is the backstory and the personality what makes each of them special.
I get a similar feeling from the revelation that Rhodey has been a Skrull since Civil War. Because now, all those heartfell moments mean absolutely nothing.
Does Feige honestly believe that people are going to be happy with the show just because of that final fight scene? I really think so. At this point, Marvel thinks that of they make a CGI fight with lots of superpowers, everyone will love a show/movie, even if they promised something else. Talk about being in denial.
I don’t even think Maria was fridged because no one cared. Her death meant nothing to the overall plot and to the characters.
Fury being married was an interesting idea (actually I think this is the kind of attention that Clint and Laura should have had in Hawkeye), but it’s not enough to save the show. And, I want to believe Clint knew about them. But the MCU doesn’t keep relationships anymore. And then I remember that Fury turned out to be a horrible person whose morals are all fucked up. He uses people, literally takes their blood for his own plans, abandons his wife, doesn’t keep his word, leaves his friend’s corpse behind, and now he’s not even a good spy.
Also, how are all those people not dying of radiation poisoning? I have no scientific knowledge on this, but they spent years in Chernobyl. Surely they should have cancer in the near future, at least. They showed how dangerous it still is!
And I’m not even going to get too deep into the budget, but someone is definitely doing some serious money laudering there. GOT had only $15 million per episode in the last season and the had dragons and White Walkers. How is a 212 million budget not enough to give a realistic depiction of an attack on the US president! I had no idea that their economy was so bad that the president can’t even afford a proper security team. His gabinet is somewhere? Seeing how the female secretary was treated, I’m not suprised if no one showed up!

In regards to Project Moon
I don’t think I need to explain anything regarding the latest controversy of Project Moon, from the incredibly unprofessional firing of Vellmori from PM to the recent things coming out about PM’s CEO Kim Ji-Hoon.
I think I share the same point of view that all of this is incredibly shameful and is an overall incredibly disappointing turn of events that changed the views we had of PM in just the last couple of days. Creating strong characters and basing them off from literature written by authors whose purpose was to defy the standards of society with their strong will and passion, just to not follow those same principles whenever they get applied presssure from a really stupid and shallow minded minority (who probably don’t even play any of the games anyway).
All of that personally devastated me as, at least in my case with Limbus, I saw the main cast as an amazing representation of strong characters, both women and men, with actual defined personalities and charm, and the game itself having a deep importance on its lore and character development rather than pretty or hot designs for cumbrains to hold onto, and while I’d like to believe they will hold to their standards in that regard, I must admit that I feel like the future is uncertain...doesn’t help we have not gotten any actual official statement either since the day they announced they fired Vellmori, which btw is absolutely disgusting they wouldn’t keep one of their own and kick her out just for the pressure of a few individuals whose lives hold no meaning. As a small artist myself and one who found a lot of charm and personality in her artstyle, I find what they did with Vellmori and her career to be absolutely disgusting and for that I will not forgive unless she gets hired again.
Now regarding the community, I’d understand if people decide to jump the ship because all of this, I myself was thinking of it too despite being relatively new, but I think more than never we have to keep eachother the closest and support eachother, some people are taking it especially bad. Fanartists, fanfictioners, overall fan content creators, members of the community or even those who simply enjoy it casually, keep eachother close since it’s a way we can support eachother while all of this happens. It’s time for us to be closer.
As for me, I will keep drawing Limbus characters, not because of devotion to the game but because they mean something personal to me outside of whatever PM and Ji-Hoon may do with them in the future. I may even get myself into either Ruina or LC just to understand the lore a bit further, but as it is for now, I do not plan to support PM in any of their decisions and much less financially...and speaking of, if you decide to cancel any purchase from any fan merch or commissions you may have gotten related to any PM project because of this, that’s understandable, but please remember the only person you’d be affecting is the artist and not Project Moon. Just be mindful of that, please.
Participating as a lurker and simply posting fanart, I can say the PM community is one of the most interesting and coolest communities I’ve seen (and perhaps partially been a part of). Keep eachother close, support eachother, and let’s hope for the best. The fight is not over.

A random headcanon: Yeet and Killa end up kinda loaded by the end of s1 - they even have a house and everything! But I think transitioning to a life where they can just,,, be kids without having to fight to the death every day to put food on the table,,, is pretty difficult for the both of them. I think Yeet probably goes hunting for their food rather than buying it at the various markets around them - frugality is a habit at this point even if they're relatively well-off, and the satisfaction of having a successful hunt curbs his adrenaline cravings. How he manages to be stealthy with a skateboard for feet? Idk but I'll leave that up to your imagination.
General Opinion over said character: BELOVED. He is so cool and pretty,,, if I was a teen in the Forgotten Realms he would awaken the comphet in me I just know it.

I don't see them talked about a whole lot but I think their dynamic could be soooo interesting! Like you've been fighting for the majority of your life and all of a sudden this new kid gets shipped in and he's clearly not from anywhere you've ever been and he's wearing strange clothes but you can see the relief in his face when he spots you and your brother for the first time. And this kid is so clearly out of his depth and he's anxious and scared and he gets kinda sad sometimes but goddamnit, you want to see him get out of this alive. Even when his brain function seems to shut down around Yeet. Perhaps especially then, because it's nice to see someone besides you caring about your sibling for once.
A NOTP I have with said character: I'm pretty open to anything, but I definitely couldn't see Killa with any of the kiddads. Sorry!
A random headcanon: Killa is pretty good with hair! She always does Yeet's for him and helps him out on wash days - I imagine it's pretty hard to style your own hair without a mirror, so Killa and Yeet will help wash and style each other's. A small amount of Killa's portion of award money always goes toward hair products and cute little hair accessories like cuffs and beads and such - it's something that can remind them both that there's more to life than just the games. And, of course, it gives both of them a few more cool points, which is very important. Gotta slay while you slay, yk!
General Opinion over said character: CRIMINALLY underrated. I love her so much and I need to know more about her. Please please please bring her and Yeet back for s2 Anthony. Please it would be so cool,,,

I am a real life person asking for your thoughts on Nancy Wheeler. Any thoughts on Nancy Wheeler. Every thought about Nancy Wheeler (I really just like talking about Nancy Wheeler)
Oh MAN. I dont even know where to start. I have so many thoughts and opinions and feelings about Nancy Wheeler I don't even know how to approach a question this open. You might as well ask me about the earth!
She has become such a real person in my brain that there are very few things that I think are set in stone about her. Sometimes I ask myself, when im writing, "What would Nancy say here?" or "What would she do?" "How would she react?" and I decide on something that I believe to be true but a lot of the time there is an almost opposite answer that I think could also be true.
What is constant? (this got lonnng have a readmore)
Well first of all I am a doomsday prepper Nancy truther. Not necessarily full on prepper to the extent she is in my TLOU au but I think she carries forward a need to be/feel prepared for things to go terribly wrong. I play it for a laugh sometimes, cans of beans in her purse and the trunk of her car full of random gear etc. But I think she is a person with a go-bag always packed, who always knows her emergency exits, who is always a little bit too alert and is at least a little bit exhausted at all times. I think she has guns and as much as i joke about her being the only person i trust with all these guns tbh she is probably a little twitchy and she probably should not have guns! (but i will continue to write her with guns)
I think she carries an immense weight of guilt and self-doubt which makes her absolute balls-to-the-wall pursuit of the things she believes are right and necessary so interesting by contrast. Her choices get people killed and she never forgives herself for any of it but she keeps making choices in the absence of anybody else who will do it. And I think she enjoys it on some level, or thrives in it, almost as much as she hates it. I think she will be LOST if they ever actually win. I think she will fight with everything she has to survive but i dont think, subconsciously, she really expects to and I dont think she is prepared to be a person who is not fighting anything.
I think she is LOYAL. And I think it's wild that her haters think the opposite. Its another very interesting contrast, the way she explicitly wants to reject societal norms and expectations but also the way she doesn't want to hurt people so she lets herself get trapped into them anyway. I have no interest in the "did she cheat on steve" conversation, i think the more important thing for her character is that she gets back together with steve and stays with him way longer than she wants to. Part of that is obviously about Barb but part of it I think is that she sees goodness in him and feel guilty about not having seen it sooner. And she's doing the same with Jonathan, who it seems like has been avoiding her calls and refusing to visit and just giving her nothing but she holds onto that relationship I think out of loyalty because he is a good person even if he's being a shitty boyfriend right now and even if that relationship has run its course. (these are not anti thoughts about steve or jonathan btw these are all teenagers in teenage relationships nobody is a villain here)
I think she hates surprises. Which makes sense because every surprise in Hawkins tends to be a bad surprise. But Robin is a whole fucking surprise and isnt THAT something. A thing I see in that ship that I love so much is that Robin keeps Nancy off balance in a way she usually hates, but she doesnt hate it at all from Robin. The very existence of Robin makes Nancy ask questions where normally she would just plow ahead. I think that discomfort is healthy for her and I think, after whatever you want to put them through to get there, she knows it.
I think Nancy would go straight for the eyeballs in a fight. I think she is biting off ears and ripping off fingers and poking their fucking eyes out because she is tiny and she knows it and she is not bothering throwing punches (though if she can elbow you in the nose she is going to to that too.)
I think one million more things about Nancy Wheeler but this post is so long already lol.

now I'm curious: what do you know about the Netflix Wednesday show? Do you think it'll be good?
oh my god literally nothing, anon, because all information I've gathered has been absorbed through osmosis. but. I can try to give you the rundown of what (I think) I know.
These two are The Big Ship, right: Wenclair. Clearly the living embodiments of sun and moon gfs. (BTW, love the environmental storytelling with the glass window behind them.)
One on the right is Wednesday Addams. Adams? Pretty sure it's spelled Addams. (Disclaimer: I have also not consumed any Addams(?) family content. I know nothing other than some of their names and that they're family goals; Morticia is the mom, Gomez is the dad, and Wednesday is the youngest(?) kid. She's got an older brother, maybe?)
The girl on the left is Enid I Think. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say her last name is Sinclair or something like it? Because of the ship name? Or her name is just Claire. But I could swear it's Enid. One of those.
Enid is either a werewolf, or that's just a very popular headcanon for her. Honestly not sure.
Wednesday is Not a vampire but she does have Powers because they both go to Magic School??? It's not just a regular school. I think. Maybe they're learning to fight demons? To be demons? Literally no idea.
They're roommates (oh my god they were roommates).
There are also two(?) (at least one) other boys who may instead be The Main Love Interest (I know, boo, boo, tomato). No one is happy about this prospect.
And to answer your second question: It's a Netflix show, so it can really go one of two ways. Either the show is going to be bad and run for five seasons, or it's going to be absolutely phenomenal and get canceled after the first season. I personally haven't decided if I'll watch it yet; gonna wait on the reviews from the people I follow until I make my choice.

STUDY IN LOKI ROMANCE
Part 5: Science/Fiction
Since we're only a few days away from the last episode, I decided to COUNT DOWN everything we´ve got so far ( that can be interpreted very easily as romantic ) and discuss what the actual fuck is going on with second season. Because even though I shipped lokius practically from S1E2, I absolutely did NOT expect this kind of development. (Not that I´m complaining)
Warning: This is gonna be LONG post, lots of screenshots, lots of SPOILERS, lot of "oh-my-god-they-so-cute" language, and little bit of meta.
I originally thought that this post would be everything at once, but since I have just too many screenshots this time around, I´ll have to split it. so every post will be one episode. Color coding means:
IIIIIIIIII = anything, that coud potentialy be just acting choice.
IIIIIIIIII = everything else (tzn.: whatever was written, and/or carefully prepared by filmmakers. )
side note: I already wrote, about how amazing it is, that Mobius is unable to fight but fights anyway and how beautifuly, and ridiculously brave he is HERE. But this is about Loki/Mobius interactions, so I´ll try my best not to talk about THAT. (Even when I´m really happy, that s2 continues with this formula and Mobius is still his completely defenseless while aggressively brave self. I love him, btw.)

And that´s why he cared so much and tried so hard to save that place.
And thing he wants the most are his friends. Their company.
(And if it wasn´t obvious, it means primarily Mobius. The man, he called friend several times this season)
It´s him, who Loki doesn´t want to lose in the first place.

Not only he says it while we are watching Mobius, but let´s take in the fact, that he says it at all!
Like... come on!!! Can´t he be just happy?
As soon as he starts thinking that his actions are selfish, Loki will actualy choose what he thinks is better for Mobius and tries to let him go...
The character development in this show is just unbelievable

i absolutely adore your take on the situation! i also feel like mq would have such a hard time believing lqq being genuine, especially if this would be during the time they would be fighting. and while mq doesn't see himself through the eyes of those who judge him, he still thinks even those who don't think the same. lqq meanwhile doesn't have much of information on mq and xl's relationship so perhaps he would get more curious about it seeing the way mq reacted to the situation.
however i look at it i don't think qianqing would have much issues with their relationship/friendship simply because they would end up talking about the issues at some point, because neither of them are weighted by shared or complicated history, the power imbalance doesn't really exist between them so it wouldn't play that much of a role in their issues, and both of them are stubborn enough to keep trying to make it better when things go south. maybe the topic of morality would be an issue, but seeing as both of them are generals and know war, i don't think the topic would come up all that often. and if it does, mq doesn't strike me as someone who would deliberately take jabs at lqq's ways of dealing with things and would let him do his thing voicing his thoughts (he did deal with both fx and xl's idealistic views after all) and lqq would at least demand mq's explanation before jumping his throat about his ways being "conniving".

Now I’m just thinking about the more mundane sides of their relationship. Like when all of the tension of their previous circumstances is gone and over with, they could really have one of the most sincere companionships in the heavens. I mostly think that way about any relationship where lqq is involved but it’s especially refreshing to imagine with mq who’s never really had that for himself in the way most of the other gods have. Mq deserves a confidant and lqq would be such a positive person for mq to learn to open up more with.
I definitely think they’d have a liveliness to their relationship— lqq seems like the type to lose interest and drag out his formal duties (paperwork, organizing, etc), which mq would absolutely get on his case about. Attendants wouldn’t even be able to formally announce mq’s arrival without lqq trying to find ways to avoid mq for the dread of being dragged back to his duties by the ear. Meanwhile mq would give lqq an earful about how childish he’s being (even if mq may or may not be going along with lqq’s game of avoidance) and eventually sit down with lqq to make sure he finishes what needs to be done.
On the other hand mq is always so distant at festivals and events— always solitary with his martial training and meditations. Lqq is a noisy disruption from the norm but he makes a good sparring partner. Somehow they both find each other’s martial styles familiar (it’s the xl conditioning but neither of them know that yet). Lqq is far from besting mq but I think he would be a good sport about it— mq leaves him in the dirt more times than either of them can count but lqq always grins and leaps back to his feet for another determined round.
There would be quiet, comfortable moments too but those seem somehow more rare and more special for them.
Anyway—! I would LOVE to see fy!mq run into lqq while they’re out trying to solve their individual problems in the mortal realm. Maybe lqq wouldn’t recognize mq at first— maybe mq wouldn’t want lqq to recognize him. I just love having these talks though!!! And I get where you’re coming from. It feels out of place to be someone who likes lqq but doesn’t necessarily like qiurong. No hate or judgement here though— it’s just not for me! And since lqq’s presence in the plot is very limited it’s both a blessing and a curse cos it means so much about him is a mystery BUT!! it also means interpreting how he interacts with other characters is free real estate 😂 I love the creativity that comes from the circumstances!
And I’ve decided I want to participate in the lqq/sqx event but I haven’t decided what prompt(s) I wanna draw for yet. That’s something I’ll figure out soon huhuhu

As far as engagement with your fics dwindling, I think it’s mainly a result of the ao3 tag naturally being flooded with show verse content and book writers disappearing. There’s also the increasing rhetoric among popular show writers/bloggers that continued art and fic for book Louis and Armand is inherently racist so my guess is no one wants to out themselves as someone who enjoys book fic for fear of being shunned. Which is disappointing but with a large fandom that is mainly centered around a popular show, not surprising (not that there wasn’t gatekeeping preshow but the fandom was significantly smaller). I think most fans of the show think with these new (and improved) incarnations of the characters, there’s no need for their book counterparts. And the belief that people who do still enjoy book Louis and Armand are ignorant and fundamentally don’t understand the vc characters. It sucks because it would’ve been sweet if it could all be enjoyed for the multiverse it’s become since there are fans (like myself) who enjoy both the books and the show but there does seem to be an unspoken rule that you shouldn’t still be interested in producing content for the books. However, I’ve always been a huge fan of your works (and meta/thoughts!!) and the quality of your writing and grasp on the characters is still just as compelling as ever so I selfishly hope you continue writing 🫶 I promise I’ll make an effort to drop comments! lol
Well first of all thank you!! I just want to reiterate that the point of my original post was never to fish for comments or anything, I was just curious about why the engagement was happening on here suddenly vs ao3, but I always appreciate comments, kudos, reblogs, etc, it makes me so happy to know people like my writing because I really love doing it. I have plenty more stuff planned just because I love writing fic and I love the characters, so no worries there!
That also makes a lot of sense actually as far as people wanting to send me anons instead of comment. That's a crazy take though, like the books are forty years old you can't expect them to suddenly not have fans because of a new adaptation...? And I think it's a wild take to say that the original books/fans of them don't understand the characters?? Tumblr discourse is on another level always.
Liking the show better is absolutely fine, everyone can have their own preferences in media, but I don't believe for one second that the show is "less problematic" than the books. They just found a different way to be insensitive and offensive 😭 I think Anne Rice IP is just destined to be a morally bankrupt trainwreck and we all have to accept that. No one has moral high ground here really. And in a way it really feels like people coming into OUR house and saying we suck and aren't welcome.
This might be a selfish way of looking at it too, but I didn't get called literal slurs for months because I was defending the show and diverse casting for people to act like I have a problem with black Louis or brown Armand. Myself and friends of mine were harassed (including racially and sexually) for speaking positively about the casting decisions from day one, before most of these people knew the show or IWTV existed. My issues with it only started after episode 5 and that will always be my reason for jumping ship on the show.
I really wish things could have been different too, I was hoping the show would bring new people into the fold and just generally expand the VC multiverse like the movie did except with a new take on the story, but of course everything has to degenerate into a slap fight on the internet.
**There are absolutely people who don't like the show because they're racist shitheads and that is absolutely not a valid opinion to have btw. Just a blog reminder that I will absolutely never support or tolerate racism surrounding the show/the casting/the actors. It could have been a really great thing, unfortunately I just deeply disagree with how it was handled.**

The first one is my body's in backwards !! I didn't see any time travel fics in the fandom yet so I had to write one! The fic follows the bruised and bloody Mark, nearly beaten him to death in s1, somehow traveling back to the very first episode! He is constantly stressed, incredibly traumatized, and trying his very best. I love this fic a lot, the descriptions in the first chapter are stuff I'm still proud of. Literally everyone around him is so incredibly concerned, heh, I love writing it. If chapter 5 could give me a break and be easy to write that'd be great.
Then, there's repine and retrain !! It follows that evil! Mark we saw, who got trapped by that universe's GDA! With the world still wrecked by monsters and villains, Cecilia basically drags Mark kicking and screaming into obeying her, so he go fight stuff without risking him trying alien colonization part 2. Heavy angst, and definitely hurt no comfort. This should actually update soon! :DD kudos to whoever commented recently, I forgot this existed.
If I were to write another, though, I'd write a symbiote!Mark fic, because I saw fanart for the absolutely epic idea, and actually wrote a draft I never managed to finish. With some delightful s2 part B scenes to consider, I'd have to overhaul a decent chunk to make it work, if I ever finish it one day. Who knows? ┐(￣ヮ￣)┌
That, or a time travel fic with a focus on way more comedic element than the unyielding heavy, heavy angst of my current one. Like, the image of like four year old Mark Grayson staring daggers at his father and shoveling "Empathy for Dummies" at him makes me cackle.
Or, a time loop fic with a similar comedy-ish angle, but still a bit angsty. So there's Mark in s1 conveniently appearing whenever Nolan tries to kill off the Guardians of the Globe. And also shoving "Empathy for Dummies" at him. Subtly dragging your alien father into processing the weight of his actions and fighting against the colonizing regime. Mark's stronger, faster, and laser focused on dragging his Dad into be better, but he keeps mentioning stuff that hasn't happened yet, which confuses people around him, and drives Cecil up the fucking wall. He's a contradiction of incredible efficiency, yet stuck in his head a lot, fucks up the date constantly, skips school, legit has troubling remembering what happened when and what hasn't happened yet. He'll mention something to you and looked surprised when you remember it (since he's been through so many loops.) Basically Outsider POV of a time loop, when the person's been through it like 28392th times already.
Gosh, now I wanna write this so bad. (///￣ ￣///) I'm so glad you like tangents,, as you can see I am quite the yapper if given the chance. (//▽//)

each lilith ship within the group is interesting on its own and i thank the writers for unintentionally doing it lol.
lilith x ava: the absolute angst of being enemies on the same side. the two sides of the same coin- they are interchangeable and have such similarities i wish they were best friends (ironic right). the act of sacrificing yourself for said girl yet turning your back on her only to come back and help her out because you know that’s the right thing to do.. OHH i love it. i need them to fight a little bit more before they both realize ‘hey i could just be fighting with her. also we’re not that different.’
lilith x beatrice: childhood friends. what more is there to say? i’m sure they had that type of bond that was like ‘oh my parents expect so much from me. oh? you too?’ and it’s just that dynamic that makes them close to one another. as they grow older they still stick w each other but it’s hard because they each get sent into different paths but ultimately met up again in the cats cradle. there, they realize ‘hey. i missed you.’ and they go back to each other (i also imagine them bonding over the most nerdy shit it’s cute)
lilith x camila: this one is a little tricky for me to describe but i’ll try. it is of course ‘sunshine meets the brood’ cliche which i think is fun. i do want to say that camila was trying to help out lilith even if she didn’t want it. i think i’d see a lot of that with their dynamic (it’s almost nonexistent lol). it’s about lilith accepting the help and realizing she’s not going to reprimanded for wanting such love. it’s about camila realizing that despite such heinous actions there is love for anyone.
lilith x mary: ohhh now this is IT. they were friends, then were not friends, and now they end up with this complicated dynamic that could’ve been made better in season two (rip mary i love you). even when they were fighting each other, they still cared for each other!!! because they knew who the other was!!! it’s all about connection!!! with them, there’s so much unexplored and i know for sure if mary was around, lilith would have had someone to really rely on.
