My father in law just told my betrothed he asked AI to write him a poem for his wife’s birthday.
I… cannot even. A poem, an expression of human sentiment and feeling, spit out by an uncomprehending machine as a string of words. Couldn’t even be bothered to feel his own feelings, he had a machine do it.

once again thinking about kageyama, who started getting the salary of a pro athlete when he was barely 18, and hinata, who had to save up and work part-time jobs to make ends meet while training in brazil, and how different their financial approaches as adults would be.
hinata being a bit too careful with money despite earning so well now, and kageyama who spends money without a thought because he's never experienced the scarcity of it.
this isn't even taking in account their upbringing and family backgrounds, with hinata clearly coming from a poorer family than the kageyamas, who could afford to send their child to a private school like shiratorizawa, while hinata had to bike for an hour from his house on the hill every day just so he could attend karasuno.
i know haikyuu is not subtle at all about class differences but they're so evident in the two main characters themselves. it's so eye-opening how these differences affect their access to resources, as well as the consequent trajectory of their careers (not to mention their skill development in the sport, which is simultaneously a consequence of their past life situations and the direct cause of their future life circumstances).
there's no doubt that they've both worked equally hard in life, but hinata taking three more years than kageyama to reach the same level as him in their shared profession (despite having the same amount of passion, determination and drive) is such a brilliant commentary on the established class systems and working of society, without ever spelling it out.
i am in awe.

I read some of the reviews for Dragon Age Absolution on IMDB and it’s so funny that people seriously give reviews which just say “everyone is gay 2/10.”
Dude, what did you even expect? This is Dragon Age, there are always gay characters, it’s one of the gayest series you can find.
Look at this review, hilarious:
Clearly written by someone who knows nothing about the series. They incorrectly refer to the characters with D&D class descriptions and they call the qunari mage “some kind of giant goat lady”. LOL It’s actually quite funny to read, but... if someone starts watching a tv show that is part of a larger series and then they get angry because it depicts the usual themes and topics of that series, well they have only themselves to blame. Hate gay characters? Maybe be aware if a 13 year old series has gay storylines and don’t act like the most recent entry has an “agenda”. Ridiculous. Homophobes always assume there is an “agenda” so they don’t even bother to check whether or not gay characters are actually new to the series they are watching.
