I haven't finished it yet, but I watched some of it, and skimmed through the rest (I will finish though at some point; when/if I have the time), and what I did see of it the "Undertale Insomnia: Something Isn't Right" Trailer looks amazing! Ur art and the looks of the characters and the Blasters is on point and great as always! And ur animation is looking awesome too! I think ur comic already had some cool gifs/small animations, but if not; it is cool to see animations from u now too!

The Paps's (both older and younger) and his Casters and/or the Blasters are looking great in the trailer u released!

And Asgore (I think) and the fallen human kid(s) look great in some of the animation WIPs and/or whatever too!

I hope someday to see some of the other Undertale cast in animation form, or at least some of the other Insomnia important and/or etc. cast members like Sans (could be both older or younger), Gaster - before or after getting goopifed, lol (though, I think he might be in this animation and/or at least the full? one), Frisk, Chara, more of Blasters and/or Casters, and/or Alphys (I have gained a soft spot for ur Alphys). Maybe Asriel and/or Flowey too?

Not mentioning Asgore or the kids here, because I think u might have some stuff/ideas/etc. with them already. And not mentioning Undyne either, even though it would be awesome to see her too, bc I don't think she has been in the comic too much yet?

Ofc, u don't have to do any of this. I know animations, and animatics even, can take a long time! Just seeing the Undertale Insomnia (one of my favorite UT, and maybe just in general, comics/series's!) cast brought to life even more through animation like this, has got me excited! ^^

Last of all; I just wanted to clarify, the animation release is just the trailer, and not full thing, or...?? I just wanted to confirm.

Heya! First off thanks! That little tidbit is just a teaser more than a full trailer. IT's definitely not the completed thing. I didn't want to give a solid release time due to genuinely not knowing how long this all would take (at this point a little over a year- Good god). But I wanted to share at least a little something since this whole project has been so all consuming- that from the outside world's perspective I've been more or less absent. It's kind of hard to be active with other things when a singular thing both eats a bunch of time but can't be shared since it's not done X'D. It's a lot of behind the scenes work and not much to show for it yet.

Other characters will definitely be getting way more time to shine in the comic moving forward since I finally hit a particular turning point. Also regarding animations I have a lot of ideas for the other characters and the fallen kids that all more or less tie into the same world in a "how did we arrive to this point" kind of scenario. But due to how long all of this takes and I can't promise how many of them I will get to. Or at least how quickly because right now I'm moving at a blistering speed of _not very fast_ ✨ That said this one with Papyrus is absolutely being released (hopefully later this year) because if I have only one of these in the system it's gonna be for this guy XD The other one that I absolutely want to do as another animated update for Insomnia involves Chara and Frisk to answer what exactly happened at the end of the last run before this one. I'm hoping that since I've learned a lot (this is my first animated project) that that one will go a lot smoother. An account of figuring out a lot of things I Was doing that made my life INFINITELY HARDER. Hope that answers things.

Sometimes I have bad days and out of nowhere I remember that Hal was all alone after the destruction of Coast City, that his friends left him and he practically lost everything he loved in life, plunging him into a great depression that led him to become Parallax, and then when he dies, his whole career and life is marked that way. And when he comes back he feels terrible about himself and always repeats to everyone how bad he was, the villain he became. He tries to redeem himself as best he can, but in the end he knows that the guilt of everything he did will never go away.

And I feel so much worse.

#song of the day #it's been two weeks + two days since the last song of the day #the issue is you see that I started the songs up again in December because my insomnia was fucking up my perception of time #and I wanted some kind of regular marker to help me keep track #and then what happened two weeks + two days ago is that I lost all track of time and subsequently the songs of the day failed #I'm gonna see if I can keep up again for a bit now that I've re-restarted without an alarm on my phone #but if I miss any this week I'll just give in and turn the alarm back on #updates from the last two weeks are going to sound so chaotic let's see #I got a new project at work /and/ I got demoted /and/ I got added to a higher access level /and/ I'm in charge of a new database #yes all of those things together. I'm to be an accountant now! not instead but in addition to my other stuff. should be interesting #I didn't get April Fools off like I was scheduled to because all my scheduled vacation got unapproved #(I was here for about twenty nonsequential minutes to boop people and I'm glad I made time for it. extremely fun to boop)#I lied shamelessly to get eclipse day off and we went on a full-day roadtrip and it was wonderful. everything I dreamed and more #I killed one of my baby succulents through clumsiness and rabbits ate my pea plants but my sage and cabbages look promising #got a massive pot of mint flourishing on my porch and the horseradish is gorgeous #got Duncan lights and plants and a filter system for his frog tank but we haven't set up the substrate yet #so there's just potted plants sitting inside a terrarium. very amusing honestly #I've been playing a little Stardew and eating a /lot/ of hot sauce and tofu #drinking tons of klass aguas frescas--especially the soursop one. holy shit is it good. the mango and hibiscus also #and these past few days I've been sleeping better #for most of those two weeks I was getting a handful of twenty-minute naps each workday and then crashing unwillingly on the weekend #I haven't read any comic books since February :'( this weekend we're going to costco and then I'm reading comics until Monday #what have y'all been up to? aaaaaa I finally finished the first part a while ago I saw a blog (I don't remember who if you know please tell me) that showed an ending where akari died after being kicked out of the village and turned into a zoroark and wanted to make my own version in a comic

so here goes the context: akari failed at the end and ended up dying (for the reason that if I continue with the comic I will explain) so Volo tried to destroy the world but only ended up killing all the human life and pokemon in the world so Arceus would punish him by leaving him in the now empty world together with Akari, since as punishment for failing in her mission as well as out of pity, Arceus transformed her into a Zoroark so that she would spend the rest of eternity tormenting him.

Hey, so, I've been rolling out queue-reblogs and summary posts on a new blog to... well, it's called utmvarchive. I'd confidently say that INSONMIA's a treasure in the Undertale fandom, but I don't want to misrepresent its meta if it was meant to be more of a headcanon than an alternate timeline. In this context, which would you want it grouped with?

Hey! I don't really think of it as an AU since it's more of a "what if" for what happened before and after the game. So I guess more alternate timeline? Haha I never gave a whole lot of thought of how to classify it beyond trying to answer possible unknowns from the game. I try to keep things pretty tied in (even when things get wild and weird.) So TLDR alternate timeline works XD

So I'm going to tell y'all a story that's a little weird in my opinion... It's about something strange that happened to me back in I think 2015 when I tried to go to bed... First I'm going to show you an image, but not just any image. This is a scan I found online from a book I used to own. (I didn't throw it away, someone stole it from me ☹️) It's a page from "The Complete Sonic Comics Encyclopedia" by Archie Comics. Here's the page:

Nothing wrong with this page right? Well you're right! But, this exact page has to do with the weird thing that happened. Here's a little bit of backstory that kinda contributes to what happened. In 2015 I got pretty sick, my stomach didn't really agree with me for quite a few years. It all started during the day after Easter. So it was an issue I had to watch for every day and make sure I ate enough and take my pills so it didn't worsen. A few months into 2015, I bought this book because I'm a big fan of the Archie/Sonic comics and I wanted something to distract me from my health issue. I read it the second I bought it (which was around maybe 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm when I got it.) Of course my stomach was pretty upset when I got it, so it took me a little longer than normal to read it. I got around to this page, and then I got ready for bed. I figured I'd just finish the rest of it in the morning.

So, I went to lay down, I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, yes, my stomach did slow down on hurting at the moment, so it should have been easier for me to sleep. But, for some odd reason, one of the characters that's seen on that page, started just popping up in my mind... Like, literally the second I closed my eyes, that specific character, in their same pose as what was in the book, as well as their name, started racing through my head and somehow made it hard for me to sleep! Like, have you ever done something or had something on your mind that has ever made it hard to sleep? Like maybe had a really embarrassing day at school? Or something something similar, that just makes it hard to sleep? Well that was what happened.

Now, it's not the first time I've heard about this character, I've read about them on the Sonic fandom page, so I was well aware of them, so I don't know why It'd run through my mind like a 5 year old being shown a horror movie. Wanna know who the character is? Can you guess?

I'll give you a second...

Well... If you guessed this guy, you are absolutely correct!

That's right, Downtown was literally the character my mind decided to spam me with! I don't even understand how or why this character would give me trouble sleeping that night. Like I said, I already knew all about him, he's not really a "traumatizing" character other than being a crooked mob boss. Basically, when I closed my eyes I'd see his image and here "Downtown Ebony Hare" over and over again. And me having trouble sleeping, would result in triggering my stomach aches, which was something I didn't want to deal with. Which, that unfortunately did happen around 3:00 am. So, I then had to read a slice of bread to make it stop a bit (I had to eat small items constantly to stop the pain back then.) But, when I tried to sleep, it happened again! "Downtown Ebony Hare," over and over again until I finally fell asleep at 5:00 fucking am!

That was literally the only time that's happened in my life. I don't understand why it happened. I wasn't upset about anything, I was actually very calm but also pretty happy I got that book. I felt like my mind was trying to torture me for some odd reason with a one shot character that isn't very threatening. I'd understand if it was a character like, I don't know, Leatherface or something like that. But this character is just a dr*g dealing mob boss from a Sonic comic...

The reason I'm talking about this, is actually because my older sister experienced this phenomenon recently, and asked me about my experience. It wasn't the same character for her, but she still experienced it. She wanted to know what fully happened since I told her a brief summary of it back in 2015. And since it happened her, she wanted to know if it was similar to what she had happen.

Now, my question is, has anyone else have a weird incident like this? What do you think really caused it? Is it something common? Is there a rational explanation for it? Or is it something unheard of? I just know that this incident has made me annoyed with this character lol. Like I didn't really like the character before all that, nor did I hate the character. I actually wanted to see him in more recent comics, but now I'm not so sure about that anymore. I of course, will draw some fan art of him later on, as I feel like he doesn't have really any of him. I'm just gonna make sure I finish it before it hits nightfall. Anyway, that's all I have for now. Hope this was entertaining in some kind of way.

As a human you need to sleep a lot more then he does. Insomnia will make you sick if you keep it up. It's his superhero duty to make sure that doesn't happen.

OLIVER

Is careful not to wake you up as he gets home. It's almost morning by the time he gets back. As long as he's up, and he knows he isn't going to sleep he might as well take a shower and get breakfast going. That will be a nice surprise for you when you wake up. It's the least he can do since he didn't make it back home last night.

Here’s the thing: Choso is the oldest of ten. He’s hyper independent and he’s in a position of always taking care of others. But he doesn’t just enjoy the act; he embodies it. Being a caretaker is his pride and joy. Being an oldest brother is Choso’s absolute greatest accomplishment, and he wears the title like a medal.

So of course the same can be said when it comes to you, his precious darling.

Having you as his responsibility brings him immeasurable joy. Choso is prideful about how well he’s taken care of you, how much brighter and healthier you’ve looked since he’s taken you into his care.

Of course there is the more… concerning side of this attentiveness. He’ll mention special dates (an old friend’s birthday or the graduation of a family member). Choso will bring up tv shows you used to love but forgot about, give you comics you were once interested in but deemed too expensive. He even knows your cycle, buys you sanitary products the day before you begin. Choso sees no issue in telling you when you’re ovulating.

(“You’re at your most fertile today.” He’ll mention during dinner and you freeze. Your stomach churns as you process what he just said.

Choso doesn’t have to eat so he likes to sits there and watch you eat dinner. It was awkward at first, the man not much for talking and you reluctant to converse with your capturer. But as time passed, the two of you could at least exchange comments here and there for the duration of the meal.

I just wanna say something regarding Tim’s medication and I don’t really have any other way to document it other than a random thought dump, so here it is.

A lot of anti seizure medication can double as anti psychotics. Psychosis is also a fairly common comorbidity of epilepsy induced seizures, specifically Postictal psychosis or PIP. Symptoms of PIP include but are not limited to visual hallucinations, paranoia, insomnia, aggression, affective change. Episodes can last for a few hours up to months at a time. Pretty much what I’m saying is that I believe Tim’s seizures, time loss, and the entire existence of Masky very well could have been brought on by a seizure caused by the operator. Maybe the visual glitches and tearing in the footage has something to do with it. This also gets me thinking about the comics, when we see things from Jessica’s POV, there’s still glitches in the visuals, despite there being no cameras in sight. Things like Visual snow syndrome start being brought to mind and now I need to write a video essay thank you for reading this much of my ramblings holy shit.
