My Precious Bunnies: chaotic disaster bi x stoic devoted gay, who doesn't love this combination? At first, I was put off by the immense length of the show, but once I started to watch it I begged for more episodes. The love and trust they have for each other, the way they convey it through eye contact - I'm a goner for WangXian.

AkkAyan - The Eclipse

The School Rebels: The Youtube Algorithm played matchmaker (once again) and introduced me to The Eclipse. I went in without knowing anything about the storyline and First & Khaotung (what a shame) and immediately fell in love with the characters and the dynamic of the relationship. How Ayan respected Akk's boundaries while pursuing him and both being each other's support system.

NuerSyn - Cutie Pie

The Fresh Breath: The innocence of Syn and Nuer's patience with Syn won my heart. Their story is sweet, simple, and pure - just what I needed & wanted. I also love how Syn doesn't shy away from physical contact even though he is religious. Somehow this couple reminds me of the smell of freshly washed bed sheets. (<- does this make sense?)

TinnGun - My School President

My Serotonin Boost: Whenever I watch them I feel so warm and happy. Tinn and Gun are both so precious and adorable while being mature and supportive of each other. Tinn encouraging and helping Gun to achieve his dream of winning Hot Wave and being a Singer, showing him through his love for him that he is more than worthy to be loved. Gun seeing Tinn as the true him, not as the perfect school president, but as a goodhearted sometimes goofy boy. Giving Tinn's future of becoming a doctor meaning. I just love them.

PalmNueng - Never Let Me Go

Locked in Cages: The complexity of the characters, of the relationship, and the surrounding social constructs that cage them and trap them fascinates and captivates me. And I love, love the way Palm looks at Nueng with so loving eyes, the way he devotes his everything to Nueng, the way Nueng does his best to treat Palm like an equal and be on the same ground with him and how they just love each other so much despite and because of the barries and differences.

ahhhh this is SO nice to hear, you have no idea!!

okay, so good news on this front: yes, there ARE plans. as it happens, I actually finally sent pages to my book agent last week for this queer romance Western I've been working on for, uh, ever. he's a genius, so if the pages are any good at all, I'm really hopeful that he can help me actually do the thing and finish the book and maybe sell it to a publisher.

but who knows! it's extremely different from all the other books I've written - it's not YA, it's fairly angsty, it's a period piece, it's a Western, people get shot and blown up and beat up and well, it's just a departure from my norm I guess! but I think it's still very me in the sense that it's a rivals-to-friends-to-idiots-to-enemies-to-lovers arc and involves One (1) Absolutely Disaster Chaotic Bi (what I like to think of as my specialty, and I've paired him with the absolutely surliest demisexual gay) and a lot of contemplation on masculinity.

1.) Major Anthony P. Havers-BBC Ghosts

aka my soft boy.

(Surprise the self-proclaimed Havers lunatic loves Havers 😉) Just know this man stole my heart in 2021 in under 4 minutes (the microexpressions fml) and this year it was my highlight to see him again. He's kind, protects the man he loves from ridicule, has a boyish grin and a cheeky streak. He likes dancing. He fell for his beau because he was attracted to his kindness. He's been through it and continues to go through it 😢Also PSC answered my question about him and I'm still screaming about it to this day🥺💖

2. The Captain -BBC Ghosts

aka my creaky boy.

He is silly, kind, gay and autistic, a dad, sometimes bitchy and one of my most beloved characters ever. Also so gorgeous and a little bit pathetic. I adore him with all my heart and soul. Blorbo from my shows.

3. Thraxus Boorman -Willow 2022

Sarcastic, great fighter, loyal, kind but he'll jump of cliffs to deny that (literally), the funniest character of 2023 and an absolute iconic bi disaster. He's a classic rogue, as is his absolute badass girlfriend.

4.) Joe Pritchard -The light in the hall

aka Joe, babes

Such a brilliant character, somehow really dark and mysterious but ultimate kicked puppy vibes. He'll keep you (and himself) guessing until the end if he really killed someone. He has amnesia due to traums. I really wasn't sure until the end if he did it or not. Amazing character. My Boy needs 1 million hugs.

5.) Graydon Hastur-Willow 2022

aka Graydon, babes aka Prince of darkness

A prince who loves learning esp. languages, very, very dark past, kind, loving, just some guy in love, easily corrupted but he's fighting it. and as it turns out he has a gift for magic. The sweetest love confession ever.

6. Barbara Parker/Sophie Straw-Funny woman

Gorgeous, hilariously funny, smart, sweet, standing up for what she believes in and makes her way in an industry that only treasures her because of her looks. But she makes them see how brilliant her brain is.

7. Sir Humphrey Bone -BBC Ghosts

aka Humphrey my goldhaas

Awkward, kind and odd. He deserves all the love in the world and to be seen and loved for who he is. This year he's getting revenge on those who ignore/mistreat him and I am here for it. Boy is not the best listener though.

8. Lord Adam Quinn -A kind of spark

aka my pretty evil princess

He is legit evil okay. But idgaf. Great villain and his modern day equivalent makes me weak in the knees. Portrayal wise he is also a small amount of ridiculous and I love that.

9. Robin the caveman - BBC ghosts

aka my chaos gremlin

Kind, wise, chaotic little gremlin also sometimes more the family dog than anything else. Loves space. Utterly hilarious and tragic at the same time. His worst trait is incest according to him. I love him so much I'm gonna get a tattoo that's just about him.

To be fair I have a plethora of beloved characters that rotate in my brain 24/7 but these nine were either new or in special focus this year. Ghosts hyperfixation is at it's absolute peak, I was barely able to watch anything else. Also I watched some things that didn't leave me with a favourite character 🤷🏻‍♀️However honourable mention has to be Allan from Barbie.

Prosekai Pride Month

Time to get into Wonderlands x Showtime :D

I mentioned this in my Rui headcanons post, but I felt like it had to be shared again: Rui took a month to prepare for his first date with Tsukasa, which was mostly just him talking with Mizuki and being told to stop being a little bitch and snatch that bright star before someone else did.

WxS is a QPR. They're very close and have a deep platonic relationship.

Tsukasa often opens up to people who go to Phoenix Wonderland during Pride month. He's never been scared about his sexuality (and later on his relationships). So he's often the first person to welcome people and let them know they can look for him should they need someone to talk to.

Emu is pan and will often add yellow and cyan streaks in her hair during Pride. She also insists of having pride flag themed face painting done during said month.

Nene is a demigirl.

Emu was probably more excited about Ruikasa than Ruikasa.

Nene thought Ruikasa would just make things a lot more chaotic, but she was fully supportive of her QPPs finding love with each other.

Mizuki definitely told Nene about Rui's month long prep and would complain about how often he would be a little bitch and how maybe she should hire someone to flirt with Tsukasa, but she can't bring herself to because they care about Rui too much to do that to him, but holy fuck he's a disaster bi.

Emu's family is surprisingly accepting of her being both pan and in a QPR.

Nene and Rui have matching "Be Gay Do Crime" shirts

They made them. They absolutely made them as a solidarity and used each others pride flags as the colors, with Nene's having the bi flag colors and Rui's having the demigirl's flag colors.

Tsukasa often keeps an eye and an ear out for Toya, knowing the younger boy will sometimes seek him out whenever he didn't feel safe at home due to being gay. Sometimes he calls off of work if he feels Toya needs his full attention.

Rui allows Emu to add pink streaks to his hair. He likes matching her during the month.

Nene, much like Toya, isn't arospec, she just doesn't really do romance. She actually does feel romantic attraction and is more than likely panromantic, she just doesn't like doing anything very romantic outside of a show, which is kinda cutting it close.

Going back to Rui and Nene having matching shirts: All of WxS have matching shirts that say "I'm here Queer and Full of Fear Cheer :)"

Emu made the shirts. Yes, she did use glittery font and Sharpie markers. Rui insisted on the Sharpie, Tsukasa insisted on the glittery font, Nene suggested the quote with Emu editing it to what it would eventually be.

Sakurako is queer but has no specific label. Next to Tsukasa, she's the one who welcomes guests and lets them know she is open to talking with anyone who needs someone to talk to.

Rui enjoys drag. He loves watching it and has thought of participating in it.

Emu insists that at least once during Pride month all of WxS just show up dressed in rainbows.

You bet Tsukasa showed up in an extravagant rainbow gown and a sparkling crown.
