You had a fair share of stitches, from recklessness and even from being careful. Your line of . . . work gave you a fair share of wounds, something you couldn’t avoid no matter what. And while you had those downsides, it got pros, like being surrounded by three hot men right now.
Soap winced as you squeezed his hand, feeling one of his bones pop. Gaz ran his fingers on your scalp, massaging your scalp to keep you relaxed as you rested your head on his chest, Meanwhile, you watched Ghost put a needle in and out of you, seemingly taking his merry time. He would give your thigh a tap or gentle squeeze whenever you flinched or whined as the needle went in, but he knew you couldn’t help it when there wasn’t any numbing medicine to give you.
Those pats and squeezes did nothing but make knots in your stomach and heat pool up between your thighs. Under normal circumstances, you would rub them together to please yourself, but at the moment, Simon was still holding one and would glance at you whenever you moved.
Poor Soap was getting all the bones in his hand popped from your grip as restrained yourself from shoving Ghost's face into your cunt and have him work on it instead.
“Done,” Ghost announced, tapping your thigh.
“Thank you.” You sighed in relief, lifting your head from Gaz’s chest, and looked down at your stitches.
“Hold on,” he demanded and turned to his medical kit, looking for something. It didn’t take long for him to pull an adhesive bandage out, making you raise a brow. “You’re going to take a shower, right?” Once again, he gently lifted your thigh and placed a bandage over the wound.
“Why the adhesive bandage?” you retorted, but let him do what he wanted to do.
“It’s waterproof. I’ll change it after you’re clean.” He then looked at your hand, carefully taking it. “As for this, I’ll find plastic to cover it, so we won’t need to change it.”
“Alright.”
With that, he left.
“Want us to help you bathe?” Soap offered and smiled gently at you, head tilting a bit.
You felt your cheeks heat up and something flipped inside your stomach. You couldn’t help but smile back and nodded hesitantly. “If you guys don’t mind.”
“You’re quite adorable when flustered, aren’t you?” Kyle commented and chuckled as you gave his leg a small kick.
“Shut up,” you grumbled.
It didn’t long for Simon to come back with a red plastic bag and a roll of cling wrap in his hand. While Ghost began to wrap your hand in plastic, Gaz took the initiative to draw you a bathe. You almost laughed out of ridiculousness when you lifted your now plastic-covered hand, but kept your lips shut tight so as not to offend the Lieutenant and his efforts.
Soap picked you up and placed you on the cold floor. He gazed at you for a moment, finding any discomfort in your expression, before tugging on the ties of your robe. You let him slip it off you, calloused fingers brushing on your skin and fixing the strap of your bra that had fallen off, goosebumps chasing after. “Let’s keep this on, yeah?”
“Yeah.” You licked your lips, feeling a bit embarrassed now as you stood in front of them in your undergarments—even Ghost who was supposedly avoiding your touches, kept an eye on you. Such a confusing man, he was.
“Come on, Bonnie.” He placed a hand on your waist, guiding you towards the tub. Without hesitation, you climbed in and quickly submerged yourself in the warm water. The heat eased your muscles and a sigh left your lips.
“Move here,” Gaz ordered, patting the edge of the tub. “I’ll wash your hair.”
You inched closer to the edge, resting your back against it. “My shampoo and body wash are in that pouch.” You nodded at the one near the sink, which Ghost opened, and fished out a couple of bottles. He silently walked towards you, passing them to Gaz, before going back to the sink, where he leaned his hips.
Gaz reached up for the showerhead, soaking your hair, and poured a generous amount of shampoo on his palm. He was gentle with your hair, scraping your scalp and giving it occasional massage. You hum in satisfaction, watching Soap squeeze some body wash to a loofah, making it bubble up, before dragging it on your arm.
“You guys are giving me too much,” you whispered, voice soft and small, compared to the tone of the voice you had shown them—loud and obnoxious.
“Too much what?” Soap asked, applying more . . . soap on the loofah. You snorted and he looked up at you with a frown. “What’s funny?”
“What did the soap say to the faucet?”
He rolled his eyes. “Bloody hell, don’t tell me.”
“Don’t listen to him, I’d like to hear it,” Ghost ordered, amusement evident in his voice.
Johnny shot him a glare. “Get out, LT.”
“You . . .” You giggled, body trembling at the thought of your joke and the way Soap stared at you. “You turn me on—” you cackled, slapping his arm with your good hand.
“Good one,” Ghost said, huffing.
Kyle shook his head. “Oh my god.”
Soap groaned. “I hate ya guys.” He moved to your neck and glanced at you before proceeding down at your chest, and then to your stomach.
“Okay, for real, what are we giving you too much?” Gaz asked, reaching for the showerhead once again, now that he was done with your hair. “Close your eyes. I’m going to rinse your hair.”
“This,” you lowered your head and closed your eyes, “Is this how you treat a criminal?” Water dripped down on your face as Gaz held the shower over your head, gently washing the shampoo off.
“What crime did ya commit?” Soap questioned in a casual tone, waiting for his fellow Sergeant to finish.
You remained silent, his words echoing in your mind. After a few moments, Gaz turned the shower off, putting it back in place, before he gathered your hair, wringing it out. You opened your eyes and found Johnny beckoning you around. You did and let him wash your back, and then he motioned a hand, making you stand up.
He washed your legs, his focus absolute even when his hand moved between your thighs, so dangerously close to your aching folds. Then, he went up to your face, tossing the loofah away. You closed your eyes and let his hands rub your face, removing the rest of the camo paint left when you tried to wipe it off as soon as you got exfil.
“Keep yer eyes closed, dove,” he said and started to rinse off the soap and bubbles on your body. As he went down, you opened your eyes and found Gaz turning off the water, taking the showerhead from Soap, and putting it back over your head.
Ghost grabbed a couple of towels, along with the bathrobe from the hooks on the wall, and approached the three of you. Soap helped you remove the hook of your bra, making your face burn, before he put a robe over you. The three of them looked away as you slipped off your panties, setting it down on the edge of the tub along with your bra. Soap and Gaz guided you to the bedroom, whilst Ghost went to the living room to pick up your bag.
Gaz dried your hair with an extra towel, squeezing the excess water from your locks. Ghost came in with your bag and placed it down on the bed. You rummage through it, taking out undergarments, a baggy t-shirt, and shorts, so you won’t need to fight the monitor again.
You slipped on your panties and bra, sighing when you realized you couldn’t put it on with one hand. “Uh, guys?”
“What is it?” Soap questioned and mouthed an ‘oh’ when you turned your back to him, showing your unclasped bra. He reached towards you, skillfully hooking it.
“Thank you,” you mumbled and watched Gaz pick up your shirt, putting it on you, before your shorts. “I feel like a kid.” You chuckled.
“Are kids the only ones wanting to be taken care of?” Kyle asked, wiping the droplets of water on your face and pinching your cheek.
You grinned. “I guess not.”

Price entered the room, fumbling out the phone from his pockets which you had handed him earlier, apparently obtaining it from one of the militia before. He thought it was good thinking to take a device from an associate of the target when Fabricio himself lacked one. You never failed to surprise him with your quick wits, no matter how crazy and unhinge you were.
Several voices swam to his ears as he locked the door behind him, his eyes traveling across the room, and he found two of his boys—Simon and John—and you on the couch, watching a movie. He approached the three of you, batting a glance at the show you were so focused on.
“Where’s Gaz?” he questioned, brows raising when the woman and the man on the television started making out and noticed Soap grabbing a cushion to put on his lap.
“Took a shower.” You nodded towards the bathroom.
He brought his eyes off the TV and huffed at the bandage around your hand and thigh. He nearly shook his head at your clothes, a simple baggy t-shirt and shorts—not the standard outfit of a soldier, even when off-duty. But then again, you weren’t a soldier in the first place, and he’d left you off, considering your performance at the mission.
“We found nothing here,” Price announced, handing you the phone, which he had one of Graves’ hackers look into. They had only found a bunch of pictures of naked men and women the owner had probably made out in the streets, some conversation with Fabrcio through a group chat but nothing useful.
You shifted your attention to the device in his grasp, carefully taking it from him. You stared at it for a second, before getting up from the couch. Soap and Ghost watched you stand up, ready to catch you in case you went out of balance. But you held your ground and padded towards the open balcony, where you threw the phone off, like pitching a ball.
“Bloody hell, why’d you throw it?!” Price exclaimed, jaws slacked at your actions.
You frowned. “You said it’s useless—”
“I was going to let you use it!”
“Oh, damn,” Soap mumbled, taking a swig from the can of beer he had in hand.
You stared at the Captain for a second, before placing your foot over the railings of the balcony, making Price and Johnny scream and quickly drag you back inside, no matter how hard you held onto the bars. Ghost closed the doors of the balcony and remained in front of it.
Gaz stumbled out of the bathroom, a towel barely hanging around his waist, a frown creeping up his face as he saw Soap holding you down on the floor. “The fuck’s going on?” he asked, blinking at the face you were making—nose scrunched, lips in an arch, and brows knitted aggressively to the point you looked like the Grinch.
“She was about to jump off the balcony after she tossed out the phone I was going to let her use.” Price sighed in exasperation.
“You should have told me sooner, sir!” you cried, planting your face on the cold floor and sniffing the snot threatening to come out. “No, I should have let you finish. Why the fuck did I throw it? I’m an idiot. Stupid, idiot, fool, dumb—”
“Come on now,” Soap picked you up from the floor and placed you in his lap, cupping your face in his hands. “Don’t cry. It’s just a phone.”
You grabbed his wrists. “Exactly. It’s a phone. It’s been months since I last held a phone, laptop, tablet, or computer, or saw social media, Soap. Months. I can’t read the stories or the comics I used to read or play games. I’m going insane—”
“If you ask me, people already think you came from the mental ward,” Ghost remarked, leaning against the doors of the balcony.
Your head snapped in his direction, glaring at him. “Fuck you, sir.”
He scoffed.
“How about I lend you mine for tonight?” Gaz questioned, waving a hand.
Your head slowly turned his way, eyes glancing up and down at his half-naked figure. You wanted to lick his abs and pepper his body with kisses, but that wasn’t what you were supposed to be focused on right now. This absolute sweetheart just offered to let you have his phone!
“Say again?” you croaked, wanting to make sure you heard him right.
“I said, I’ll let you have my phone for tonight,” he repeated. “We’ll have to watch you, though.”
You jumped up to your feet, spreading your arms wide and stomping towards the sergeant. “Come here, love. I’m going to kiss you.”
Soap’s mouth flew open, Price had a grimace, and another unusual cringe made its way to Ghost’s face.
Gaz frowned, his face heating up. “I’m sorry?”
“I fucking love you.”
“Aren’t we going too fast?”
“Aren’t you muppets going to sleep?” Price asked, shaking his head in annoyance, motioning his thumb towards the open bedroom door behind him.
You waved a hand in disapproval. “It’s still early, Captain. Why don’t we drink for a while?”
He glanced upward, seemingly thinking it over, and nodded. “I guess, it doesn’t hurt.” Then, he pointed at Gaz. “And you damn exhibitionist, put some clothes on.”
Tumblr media
A groan escaped your lips as you steered from your sleep, blinking the drowsiness away. You frowned, feeling something heavy around your stomach and you looked at your side, finding Soap’s arm around you, and on the other side was Gaz. Both were snoring softly yet seemed to be heavily asleep. The alcohol must had gotten them too much. You carefully removed their arms around you and slid off the bed, eyes glancing around the room for Ghost.
“Did he sleep in the other room with Cap?” you mumbled to yourself, batting an eye over the sergeants on the bed and slipping out of the room.
You padded towards the kitchen, turning the lights on. You rummage through the cabinets, trying to find a cup or a glass, but you only found some kitchenware. You put your hand on your hips and sighed. “You know where are the glasses, Lieutenant?”
“How’d you know it was me?” Ghost emerged from the shadows, approaching you. “They’re up in the cupboard.”
“Figured no one was as quiet as the Ghost.” You smiled and hauled yourself up on the counter, opening the cupboard.
His lips parted under the balaclava he still had on, confused about your actions. “The fuck are you doing?”
“Getting a glass?” you grabbed one and shut the cupboard close, wincing at the loud thud. You batted an eye towards the bedroom where you came from, but neither heard nor saw anything that indicated the sergeants had awoken. “It’s faster this way.” You jumped down on the floor, your bare feet silencing the impact.
“It’s because you’re small,” he quipped and tilted his head mockingly when you shot him a glare.
You waved the glass at him. “You do not tell a short person that they’re short, sir.”
“Doesn’t hide the fact that you’re small.”
You pulled a face and headed towards the fridge. “Just because you’re a freaking beanpole doesn’t mean you can offend short people.” You grabbed a bottle of cold water and poured a generous amount into your glass.
“You know what they call it when a short person waves at you?”
You quickly drank the water. “No, tell me.” You turned to the sink and placed the glass down, turning the tap open.
“A microwave.” As soon as the words left his mouth, you splashed water at him. “What the—are you serious?”
You laughed at him, gathering water in your hands again.
He pointed at you warningly. “Don’t you dare.” But that wasn’t enough to stop you. You splashed water at him again, but this time, he dodged most of it. He glared at you, sending shivers down your spine, and you bolted away from the kitchen. “Where do you think you’re going?”
A silent giggle rushed past your lips, rounding the dim living room with Ghost on your tail. He didn’t seem to mind the childishness of your actions and even went with the flow, not bothering to catch you just yet, until he finally grabbed your hand, pinning you on the couch. He got up over you and you struggled under his grip, still laughing softly.
“You’re wounded, you shouldn’t be moving too much,” he said in a low voice, staring down at you in the dimness of the room.
“I’ve experienced worse, sir,” you responded in a soft voice and you felt his grip loosen. “I’ve had worse.”
“You’re not just a civilian who got caught committing a crime, are you?” he questioned, eyes narrowing at you. “There’s a reason why Shepherd got you.”
You sighed and averted your gaze, squeezing them shut, before you opened them and met his eyes. “How come you can touch me easily, but you avoid me when I touch you?”
“Don’t avoid the question, sweetheart.”
“Would you believe me if I told you?” You waited for his answer, but it never came, and you forced out a laugh, smiling. “The Captain knows. I told him, but not everything. And believe me, even Shepherd couldn’t get what I told the Cap out of me.”
Ghost pondered over your words, staying silent as he let go of you. He and the sergeants had stayed silent about the scars they had noticed on your body throughout your time in the bathroom. Upon inspection, he realized those scars weren’t the same as the ones he got on the battlefield, and there you go, confirming he was right. Shepherd had tortured you for something, and you believed that you could trust Price enough to tell him what Shepherd wanted from you.
He got off you and sat on the couch. “I don’t like it . . . when people touch me.”
You huffed, but it sounded more like a laugh. “Fuck me. You could have told me that sooner or maybe, threatened to cut off my hand.” You paused and sighed, inching away from him. “Sorry. I should have seen the hints.”
Silence blanketed the dim living room, making the light of your monitor brighter. You patiently waited for him to speak or make the first move, but he remained still. You sighed once again and got up on your feet. He looked up at you and you dipped your head low for a second.
“I’m sorry, too, for splashing water at you, sir. Good night.” You turned away from him, heading towards the bedroom.
“I don’t mind it.”
You stopped in your tracks, looking over your shoulder with a raised brow. “That I splashed water on you?”
He stood up and walked toward you, towering over when he halted in front of you. “I don’t mind it.”
You blinked at him in confusion, your brows knitting lightly. “Okay?” you mumbled, the statement sounding a bit more of a question, and watched him silently walk away, entering the other room where Price was. You glanced around the place, trying to register what the fuckity fuck Ghost tried to tell you, before shrugging and grunting.
You slipped back into the bedroom and carefully slid in between the sergeants. You croaked out a curse when you noticed their eyes open, staring at you. "Fuck's sake. Since when are you two awake?"
"Heard a thud," Gaz whispered and leaned closer, his warm breath kissing your neck, making goosebumps rise on your skin.
"Sorry," you said in a small voice.
"I don't mind, love," he replied, a bit jokingly, a mock to how you called him love earlier. "Was what you said true? Were you going to kiss me because I lent you my phone?"
Your face slowly heated up, remembering the words you blurted out before without thinking.
Soap inched closer, resting his cheek on your shoulder. "Am I going to get a live-action?" He asked teasingly, making your breath hitch and your heart hammer against your ribs.
"Cap’s going to kill me if I kiss any of you," you said in a calm voice, staring at the ceiling that never looked so good until now, and hoping it was a good answer.
"No, he won't," Soap claimed, breathing against your neck.
You couldn’t stop the moan that escaped your lips as he sucked on the skin, softly biting.
“So, I’m the one who’s gonna get the live-action instead?” Gaz asked, propping his head on his hand.
Okay, fine. To the Hell with it.

lol self indulgent bc I’m in pain and I want Sakusa to be real 💅🏼
Tw // laceration, bandage replacement, descriptions of a small wound and mentions of blood and scabbing
——
“Ow.”
“I know, baby. Hold still, okay?”
The minute Kiyoomi’s gloved hands touched the irritated areas around the bandaid, you were wincing, knuckles fisting and teeth sinking into your lower lip. He pauses, “are you alright? Do you need me to stop?”
“No,” you pant. “Please- just get it off.”
He nods, rolls his shoulders, lets out a labored breath into his mask, and gently grips either end of the now dirtied bandage, and with his own wince, pulls it up off of your skin, a small wail of pain escaping your lips. “Shhh, I know baby, I know-“
“It burns- Omi, it burns why does it burn-“
“It’s the air hitting it, I promise,” he assures. He takes a look at the wound with careful eyes, trying to evaluate it: the skin around it is raw from the adhesives being placed on it and removed constantly, the throbbing laceration mocking him as you tremble in pain. When a gloved finger gently runs over the blistering, you yelp and dart away slightly, and he grimaces.
He would give everything he has to make this go away.
There’s a small bit of scarring skin that’s forming over the swell, and he takes it as sign of finally healing- that and the small bit of blood that’s forming under the barrier to form what’s left of the scab.
At least it’s not coming out anymore.
“Alright. I’m gonna do a little more bacitracin and peroxide-“
“NO!”
“I have to-“
“It’s gonna sting,” you plead, eyes glassy and brimming with tears.
Of course it’s going to sting, he thinks to himself. But that’s not what you need to hear right now. It doesn’t matter how many times you dance this dance- your fears and worries are never bothersome enough for him to stop taking care of you. He bypassed your protests and opens a new bandage, pushing some of the ointment onto it before pressing it to the lesion. You choke out a small wail and tighten your body.
“Almost done,” he mumbles, grabbing some of the medical tape to hold the bandaid in place, wrapping it securely. With a relived sigh, he leaves his hand to keep pressure on the fresh dressing to try and soothe the irritated skin. “There. There baby. You did so good.”
You sniffle and use your hands to wipe your eye, and he hums and pulls down his mask with a quiet ‘c’mere’ and guides you into his chest, where your arms wrap around him to keep him close.
“I hate this,” you sob into his chest. His massive hand cradles the back of your head, the other rubbing softly up and down the planes of your back.
“I know,” he whispers into your head.
“It’s so itchy, and it hurts, Kiyoomi.”
“The good news is, it’s itchy because it’s healing,” he says, pulling back to look at you. The hand on your head shifts to gently wipe a tear from your cheek. “Bad news is, it’s irritated because of the bandaid.”
“I just want to let it heal on its own. No more bandaids.”
He chuckles softly before pulling off his gloves and tugging you back into a hug, trying to not let your heaving shoulders break his heart. “I’m not going to let you do that; we’ve got to take care of it. Doctor’s orders, remember?”
“Fuck the doctor.”
He laughs a little louder, letting his lips press a few kisses on the crown of your head. Then, he crouched slightly, hands still holding your cheeks to keep your eyes on him.
“Listen to me,” he says, subtly shaking your head for emphasis. “You deserve to take care of yourself. And I’m gonna be here to help you with it. But you deserve to live in comfort- and treating this shit is just part of it.”
You let out a shaky sob and after a few minutes, you nod, letting your hands rest on top of his, “I hate this, kiyoomi.”
“I know,” he echos again. His thumbs gently stroke your hot cheeks, “I wish I could take it away, baby.”
“I know.”

Hi!! Have you used trans tape as well as KT, and would you mind sharing your opinions/tips on taping as a binding method?
I’m trying to get good at taping (with transtape) because omgs it is. So much nicer than binding. But I keep getting blisters on my back/under my armpits and also taking off the tape has left a lot of residue?? I’m using my binder until my back heals but I would appreciate any tips and tricks to avoid this in the future if you’re willing to share 🙏 I’ve been doing everything according to the instructions idk what’s going on about it 😔
I have used both! It's only been a couple weeks, but I've definitely learned a lot. I also had the help of @ghostlyerlkonig , who sent me a post of his that we really fucking nice. But here's what I've learned:
Use oil (I use coconut oil) to take the tape off! It doesn't matter what kind, you can even use lotion. or vegetable oil. or olive oil. as long as you're not allergic to it. if you really need to, but just use something to help the adhesive wear off. Rub the oil into the ends of the tape until it starts to come up, then continue to rub it under the tape so the adhesive loses its stickiness. Doing this right does take a lot of time (and you really should do it right, that's how you avoid blisters and torn up skin). This applies to both KT tape and Trans tape.
Don't actually stretch the tape you're using. Hal gives a better explanation here (you should just go look at that post cuz it's exceptionally helpful)
When it comes to actual placement, there's a couple different methods but I use the two tape method. Basically this:
Tumblr media
I have a pretty small chest so this may or may not work for you depending on what size your chest is.
I think that's all the tips I have, let me know if you have any other questions! I'm happy to help.

I’m a fairly beginner bookbinder (I’ve done pamphlets and coptic bindings with paper and book cloth) and your posts about the k118 binding are incredibly compelling. I’m currently typesetting a fic that I’m going to need to break into two 500 page volumes and wanted to try doing a case binding for them. Would the k118 be too difficult as a starting place for case bindings?
Oooh. Let me see! This is a slightly tricky question, because until you get into the mechanics of how all the pieces are assembled, it isn't clear how k118 and casebindings differ. It's like one of those things where you look at two identical animals and are like 'what do you MEAN they aren't related???' I'm going to go into probably unnecessary detail below, but the bottom line up front is that I don't think the k118 will be a good choice until you have some more experience with either hardcovers with closed spines (no matter how a style tackles it, this complicates construction compared to coptic). But I like the k118 binding a lot, so I want to explain why I think that and what the big hurdles to reach that point are!
First, here's the post that I was sent when I first learned about k118, and then here's a link to a tag on the blog of another bookbinder who enjoyed playing with this style. I learned primarily from that first link, but I've also fumbled my way through some similar styles before, which i drew on to bridge the gap between pictures and instructions. I believe this is the DAS video where I learned about covering tightbacked leather bindings. The other times before k118 that I've done this, I did laced on boards where I sewed on cords and then threaded those cords through my cover boards to fix them in place (very cool, but hard, and messier than I anticipated)
Once a k118 is done, it will look a lot like a rounded casebound book! But the distinction is that k118 is built and covered right on the text block (similar to a coptic binding), and a casebinding involves building the case (cover boards and spine stiffener, plus covering material) completely separately from your text block, and the final step is uniting them. I do like casebindings a lot, I do a lot of flat-backed styles where a spine board makes things look nice and crisp, and I can zone out and build a case on autopilot.
Tumblr media
These are my cases for 2ha, for example. I made all thirteen of them and finished the covering material like this, and if one of them had gotten fucked, I could have restarted that case without the text block being affected at all. I like these a lot, they're probably 99% of what I've made!
Now, I don't have photos of how tightbacked bindings are covered, because even for k118 they're a sweaty-palmed race against time where you wrap a wet, floppy, adhesive-soaked piece of material around a three-dimensional object, and try not to get adhesive on your pages or the outside of the material. I might have done it with bookcloth, but it's really a style meant for leather and wheat paste. You usually make an ad hoc sheath for your text block so that they're shielded while the covers are free, but my locked tomb book definitely has a spot where paste got on the edges anyways!
Both casebinding and k118 use a text block where the spine is stabilized with glue first, so it will have fewer wiggles than a coptic book. I start with the book spine up, and take my pasted out covering material, and lower it centered over the spine. That helps me keep the material overall centered as the book object gets more complicated to handle, and if you're using leather (which stretches), you can tug downward at both covers to keep things taut and crisp. I don't think the process is terrible so far, though it may be tricky if you aren't used to such demanding glue control! The tough part is doing the turn-ins, which is where the DAS video will be much more informative than I'm about to be.
Now, your book has material glued to it along the spine and both covers. There should be flappy overhangs on all edges, and odds are good that some paste has squished out onto these even if you were careful. This is the part where using paste specifically is important, since it has a slower dry time than pva - when you paste out your turn-ins, at the head and tail of the spine, you'll need to pull your covering material away from the spine to make a space for that material to tuck in. It will go around the cover boards but underneath the spine. this is always a tricky mess, I keep a clean poking tool on hand so I can prod material into the gap, because my fingers won't want to fit. Also, as you're feeding material into the glue hole, you're trying not to get adhesive on the outside of the book. A damp cloth can save things if you spot it fast, and wheat paste will wipe off leather, but pva or fabric will be less forgiving. Bookcloth is also less forgiving for being pulled up and repositioned that way, there's a reason I didn't photograph the spine on efface the footprints!
I don't want to be discouraging here! I think the style is VERY doable, but it's still a hike in difficulty where mistakes will be punished with glue. I tried a tightbacked binding with boards sewn on cords at a point where I was already very confident with casebindings, with leather that was a gift and not a purchase, and still got punched hard in the ego. If you do want to dive into traditional style leather bindings, then yes, absolutely recommend this style. It's much easier than laced on boards, I just recommend watching das's videos on covering books like these, and edge paring leather is its own skill set I'm still not very good at.
(also, if you want to pursue leather, material sourcing gets complicated. 1-2 oz veg tanned goat leather is ideal, you won't want it more then ~1.5 mm thick if possible, and then you're SUPPOSED to pare parts thinner with specialty knives (or sand them). Bookbinding stores will sell this stuff for wild amounts of money, or it's possible to find affordable hides elsewhere, but it is definitely a niche product. Cow hides are not worth it. Vellum sourcing is also annoying, my current books have been done with vellum PAPER, so we'll see how long they live. I'm optimistic! But true vellum can be purchased as scraps or offcuts from calligraphy places, or a comment from a conservationist on one of my prior posts recommended tyvek)
If you want to to work with bookcloth and paper, I strongly recommend working with casebindings or other adhesive-heavy styles until you're comfortable enough with those to get adventurous. A casebound book can be rounded as well to deal with spine swell! If a book is flat-backed, the case is worked flat and you don't have to deal with the third dimension until you glue it to your text block. If you have a curved spine, you probably want to pre-curve your spine stiffener a little first, but it's still MOSTLY flat. This style is still going to be most of what I make! I'm planning to keep k118 for books that need to open flat af (two pending wedding guestbooks, which is why I was testing it so hard here), or for full leather bindings. It's much, much nicer than the other tightbacked styles I've tried so far, but all of them are still an escalation in difficulty and fuss from my usual books!
Tl;dr, if you want to go hard on leather, i do recommend this, but advise you watch LOTS of reference material on leather first. Leather is very complicated and annoying, the learning curve is real, but I find it VERY rewarding to work with. If you want to stick to cloth and paper, I think it might be a discouraging jump in difficulty for the moment, but could still be in reach soon! A lot of my rhapsodizing comes from that lingering frustration/anxiety of my first struggles with tightbacked bindings, and I would hate to set someone up for that same pit trap when it isn't necessary.
There we are, that's enough wall of text for now! I hope something in here is helpful. I think a casebinding is your best bet for this project, and VERY attainable, but if your heart is set on learning k118 someday, I don't think it's FAR out of reach. I just want you to have a good time with this big project!! :D

Hello! I have liked your latest posts a lot and would like to get a TR matchup if you can, please.
About me:
I'm a cis woman, INTP, demisexual. I am the kind of person that tends to appear as kind of a wall flower at first. In social settings I try to keep to myself and don't really interact unless I'm directly addressed. With strangers I might seem chatty and outgoing, but in reality I just wouldn't know what to do if things got quiet. I have an almost pathological impulse to be helpful and useful, and go the extra mile to not be annoying or depend on others. I always try to not voice an opinion unless I have checked the facts or am certain it's a completelysubjective matter and I'm not in the wrong. I'm the kind of person who gets scolded for saying sorry too much and would say "sorry, I won't do it again". I'm generally anxious in unfamiliar situations because I can't read a room to save my life and don't really get subtext 🤷🏻‍♀️
When I'm comfortable with someone I relax and become my real self instead of that carefully built façade. I get more quiet, self assured and aware of my needs. I get comfortable with silence and I'm less afraid to seem ignorant or confused. I am a kinda stereotypical nerd of great book smarts, awful street smarts.
I have a history of mental health issues and though I am well and more in touch with my emotions than ever, I still get my periods of seasonal depression. I have been accused of being a perfectionist and inflexible, both with others and myself. I am generally pessimistic and have always had a vwry low self esteem, as well as body image issues. Though it hasn't always been the case, now I am overweight. I also suffered bullying for a very long time and it has made me kind of distrusting but also wanting a connection, therefore trusting too quickly and letting people take advantage of me. Often. For this reason (and, as stated above, because I can't really tell genuine interest from general niceness or mockery, people are really confusing and frustrating) I have never had a romantic partner.
My interests are generally geeky or nerdy. I spend most of my free time playing videogames, painting or drawing, and with various arts and crafts, mainly cosplay (I prefer the making part, sewing but especially prop building. I own lots of power tools and higly toxic adhesives and resins lol)
I also like going to a cafe to read, paint or study almost every other day. My favourite genres are sci fi and horror.
My interests are varied buy I tend to hyperfixate on whichever is my current obsession, and delve deep into anything it has to offer, making my own theories which I love to share with anyone who will listen.
The love language I prefere recieving is quality time, and I tend to do gift giving or acts or service.
I usually dress in all black, jeans, boots and a graphic tee almpst every day. I have died hair and an "extreme" haircut (like Draken, but my sides are not totally shaved, just really short). I also wear little to no makeup but several earrings in the shape of claws, chains, several rings, etc. My style has been described as "badass", "scary" or "weird", depending on who you ask.
What I like:
I tend to get overjoyed that anyone would like me so I wil give a chance to almost anyone. I'm not very picky but I gravitate towards men who have a more "clean" look (yk, the kind of people that make you think "this person has to smell good"). Since I like trying out many new things I also prefer someone who will lead me out of my comfort zone but not push me out of it, as well as do the same for me and try things I love.
I am quite independent and low maintenance so I do better with people who don't need to be in constant touch with me, or have no problem with not being in touch for a day even if there is no apparent reason.
Sorry for the loooong ask, I hope you will find the time and inspiration to find me a match!
TYSM for your time 🥰
Hi there. Your ask isn’t too long at all. I think you sound pretty awesome, so love yourself. Whatever people say about you, is just them being feeling like they have to bring others down to feel great. Don’t listen to them. I think I found a great matchup for you. I hope you like your perfect match!
You Got…
Shinichiro Sano!!!
Tumblr media
He’d like how low maintenance you are. Sometimes he gets busy with the shop or gang or siblings and having you be okay puts his mind at ease.
Would like your style, especially the little to no makeup. He seems like the guy who hates “fake girl”.
Would tell you every day how much he loves you and thinks you are perfect in every way.
Both of you have almost no experience so you two can learn and grow together!
He’s up for anything!
He’d clean up for you!
I believe that he’d ask to use some of your drawings to use as decals on his bikes.
Would listen to you talk for hours about anything you like!
Would do the talking and let you be you.
Motorcycle ride dates at night and then taking you to watch the sunset and maybe sketch it too.

Regular Customer | Steve Harrington x Reader (ch.8)
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist.
Chapter Seven – Chapter Nine.
Pairings: Steve Harrington x fem!reader|plus-sized!reader|nerd!reader
Word count: 3478
Warnings: Blood.
Regular Customer | Chapter Eight.
Covered in demogorgon's blood, Y/N helped Max until they found a safe place inside the theater version of the Upside Down. Max had a significant cut on her torso, not too deep but it kept bleeding. Also, in her fall, she sprained her ankle. The demogorgon had been lured to her due to a superficial cut on her knee.
"We were racing, you know. The loser had to buy the ice cream. I fell," the young teen explained.
After all the things Y/N had learned since March, she was ready to fight whenever she got out of her house. Eddie had gifted her a denim shoulder bag with patches of music bands in gratitude for her tutoring and she was obsessed with it. Therefore, that was the purse she had with her with a knife, a mini-first aid kit, and the essentials.
No matter how well they hid, as long as there was a blood smell on any of them, the monsters could find them. Y/N used the first aid kit to attend to Max's wounds covering them with adhesive tape, mostly, when the bandages ran short; then she covered them with the demogorgon's mucus and blood that was covering her dress.
"Ew– Fucking ew, Y/N! This is disgusting."
"Trust me, I know, but let's hope it'll cover the smell of your blood."
"Cool. What do we do now?"
"I've been thinking. Eleven can connect with people with the radio noise, right?" The other girl nodded so she kept talking. "Mike also said that she once was able to tune Will from the other side with his walkie and with the radio at school. We need to find some fabric to make bandages with and a walkie. Also, there's a huge chance the bastards are reunited in Wheeler's house so…"
"Wheeler's house it is."
The distance between the theater and Mike's house felt longer and infinite. Y/N had her knife tightly held in her dominant hand, while she helped Max limp forward. Eyes and ears were open, hypersensitive to the slightest change in their environment. They were in tension and had to stop and hide several times before they finally made it.
Using questionable fabric in the Upside Down Wheelers' house, Y/N fixed Max's ankle helping her be more comfortable and took the walkie. It didn't have batteries which wasn't that surprising considering that on the Upside Down there was no light, no water, nothing useful. Y/N suspected that even without the batteries, the walkie plan could still work.
"What now?" Max asked anxiously.
"Now we wait. If Lucas paid attention, he should've gone looking for El. Any request?"
"For what?"
"Singing, of course? I can't be asking if they copy every three seconds, I'm not Henderson."
Max rolled her eyes and fixed her eyes to the outside through the window, holding a softball bat the Wheelers had at home in the Upside Down version.
Y/N played with the walkie while thinking about a song.
"Here we stand. Worlds apart. Hearts broken in two, two, two," she sang softly to the walkie. "Sleepless nights, losing ground. I'm reaching for you, you, you. Feeling that it's gone. Can change your mind. If we can't go on. To survive the tide, love dives," she started to feel the song as she sang and she gave it all in the chorus. "Someday love will find you. Break those chains that bind you. One night will remind you. How we touched and went our separate ways. If he ever hurts you. True love won't desert you. You know I still love you. Though we touched and went our separate ways."
"Really?" Max complained.
"Hey! We have a walkie here. They have a walkie there. If we're at the same place and Eleven makes the connection we could be able to actually communicate with them."
*
The room was quiet. Too quiet.
"Here we stand. Worlds apart. Hearts broken in two, two, two–" a well-known voice half-singing through the walkie Eleven held.
"How long are you going to keep singing?" Another voice complained.
"It worked for Will, it should work for us. Why, Max, do you only know Kate Bush songs? No Journey? They're good."
Steve let out a shaky breath of relief. At least they were fine. Nancy was still anxious, and he couldn't blame her; if he was feeling like this about a woman he had only known since March, she must've been going insane.
They were about to taste their second theory of the day when the Wheelers' basement door got opened. Hopper entered dragging a covered in Upside Down mucus Jonathan Byers.
A bubbling growl vibrated in the walkie.
Silence.
Steve's skin broke into goosebumps. He snatched the walkie, "Y/N! Hey! Y/N, are you there? Are you alright?"
"Sorry," El mumbled.
"Can you find them again?"
"I can try."
"Guys, listen, I made a signal amplifying for our radios in the science camp this summer. Suzie said it was very smart."
"To the point, Dustin," Lucas cut him off.
"Yeah. Right. My point is that if we use my invention with El's powers we could actually communicate with the other side instead of just listening to them."
"I see what Dustin's trying to say," Mike claimed. "The gates, the Huntgates, that the new rogue demomonsters are using are too small or too brief to come with a plan. We could set a trap, open a controlled Huntgate that Max and Y/N could use to come back."
"Which will only work if they know where and when the gate's going to open," Lucas pointed out.
"Exactly. And here we have two experts in luring a demogorgon to our world," Dustin pointed to Jonathan and Nancy, still hugging each other, with both hands extended.
"Kids, we need more time to come up with a plan. Let's not rush things, alright?" Hopper intervened.
"We can't just wait with our arms crossed! Max and Y/N are still there!" Robin burst out starting a catastrophic rambling about the dangers of the other side and how every minute they spent there, alone, implied more chances of ending up dead.
Steve couldn't hear that right now. Not when his heart was recoiling painfully in his chest; the guilt was eating him alive and his blood was boiling with such intensity, that the moment someone came into his path, he most probably was going to destroy them. He couldn't stand being there. The chaos between the kids talking all at the same time, Eleven failing to contact again, Lucas shaking like a leaf, Hopper being his usual cop-asshole-like, Nancy and Jonathan safe and sound, Eddie turning green with nausea… Steve couldn't take it anymore. He needed air.
As he approached the basement door, Nancy stopped him by holding his arm with a sweet smile on her face.
"We would find them, Steve."
"Not now, Nance," he spat.
"Don't worry, man. Y/N's tough and resourceful; I'm sure she–"
"Look, I'm sorry," Steve cut Jonathan too loudly. The room went quiet. "I can't do this right now. The woman I love is trapped in the Upside Down with a bunch of hungry monsters that can smell blood. She's in danger and it's all my fault. If I'd gone to our date on time she wouldn't have gone through the gate. If Nancy hadn't called I would've been on time. If you hadn't gone missing– I don't want to be an asshole. I truly don't want to, man, but all I have inside of me is hate and guilt, and I have these awful thoughts… I'm sorry. I need to go. Just– Just leave me alone."
He didn't go too far. Steve got out of the house, the hot and humid night air in Hawkins did nothing good to his nerves; he walked up and down a couple of laps until finally collapsing near the garage door, away from busybody neighbors. He ran his hands through his hair destroying hours of work. Shit, if only–
Before he could keep the self-beating up, the sound of heavy footsteps made him look up. Eddie walked towards him, without looking directly at him, and sat next to him without a word. From the back pocket of his jeans, he produced a pack of cigarettes mostly full. He took one out, lit it, and pass it to Steve, who accepted it without much thinking. The smoke burned his lungs as he took a very long drag. Eddie lit one for himself.
"I didn't know you smoked, Steve." His eyes were lost in the darkness before them.
"I used to. Tommy and Carol were very pushy on the matter. I quit, though."
"Why?"
"Henderson, mostly."
"Oh, yeah. The little shit gets worked up every time he sees me smoking more than one."
"Yeah… Then Robin, of course. You saw it, she would ban tobacco if she could."
"True. I tried to quit five times now. Y/N doesn't really mind; she never goes all stern-mother on me or anything, but I notice the way her nose wrinkle when she smells the fresh cigarette smoke on me."
"I don't even buy marijuana anymore, you know? I don't smoke. I barely drink. I'm a fucking mom of six rebellious teenagers… I kept my lighter, though. Comes in handy to set monsters on fire."
"Cool, dude."
Steve held the cigarette before him between his fingers, watching as it consumed itself slowly, losing his mind on the movement of the smoke. "It's my fault." He whispered.
"It's not."
"Eddie…"
"Steve. It's not your fault."
Instead of arguing on the matter, Steve looked at Eddie. He had recovered a bit of color on his face but still looked ready to puke. "If she dies…"
"Don't say that, she's not gonna die."
"Eddie, if something bad happens to Y/N I won't be able to look at Jonathan or Nancy in the face ever again." Steve waited until Eddie looked back at him to keep talking, "I wish it was him. I would give everything I own. I would destroy the fucking world just to go back in time and change Y/N for Jonathan. I want her here. Safe and sound. And if something bad happens to her, if she gets hurt or if she dies… I keep thinking about it and it burns my insides. Why is Jonathan here and not Y/N? I know it's not fair to think like that. Shit, I know it makes me look bad but I can't help it."
Eddie lit another cigarette after the first one was consumed; he took a long drag blowing the smoke into the air. "I know what you mean, Steve."
"I can't look at them right now. I can't be there and see how happy they are. I can't, Eddie, because I just want to hurt them. I want to make them pay for this…" Steve clenched his hand over his chest, tears falling warm from his eyes "...this pain and uncertainty. I know it's not their fault. My brain is telling me I'm being ridiculous, but I can't help it. It's completely irrational! Fuck!"
"I get it, Steve. You said so yourself, you love her, and she's in danger. Of fucking course you will slash Byers' throat if with that you could have her back safe. Fuck, I'll hold him for you, man."
They remained together in the comfortable silence of people who were trapped inside their minds, too busy worrying about somebody they loved.
*
One step to the right. Knees down. Hunch the back and then up again, knife held with both hands. The demodog fell; one half to the right and the other to the left. Y/N's knife was sharp. She could feel the sticky and pestilent blood of the monster drying on top of her skin and clothes. Using a handkerchief she kept in her purse, she cleaned the blade and gave the fabric to Max ordering her to cover her skin with it. Between gags, the redhead did as she was told.
"That was close."
"Not really. The dog was small." Y/N inspected the dead monster on her feet. "Look at this. Its skin is still tender. It almost looks like it was new. I bet it'd barely shedded its skin. It was hungry and uncoordinated."
"I don't get it. Last time, they had his hive mind that kept them connected and if one knew where we were, all of them knew. I remember when Dustin wanted to hunt Dart, his own demodog. Yes, he was that stupid. He and Steve set a trap for it, but a bunch of them showed up. They hunt in packs, they're smart."
"If that were true once, it's not anymore. That little guy wouldn't show up here alone looking for food if they hunt and move in packs. Something might've happened when we killed Vecna. He was the hive mind owner, so to speak."
"Yes. Okay. But, if the hive mind owner dies, its monsters do too, don't they? It's what happened when Eleven closed the Mothergate."
"When we killed Vecna, there was such a strong earthquake our Hawkins felt it. Maybe that's what changed. A burst of power."
"And what does that mean for us?"
Y/N meditated in silence for a moment. Max's question was interesting enough for her to stop the adrenaline from running through her veins, take a breath, and actually think about their situation. What does that mean for them?
*
"Evolution!" Dustin yelled.
He'd gone to his house for his homemade amplifier with Mike and Erica; they'd been throwing ideas about what was happening to the Upside Down and the moment they went back in Dustin was ready to present his latest hypothesis.
By the time they were back, Jonathan had already showered and changed clothes. Steve was calmer but kept himself in solitude. Robin was losing her mind, again. And Hopper was on the phone with someone he knew from the government while smoking his twentieth cigarette.
"What?" Lucas asked.
"That's what happened. It's not that they went rogue from the hive min. They evolved. Vecna controlled the Upside Down, he created the monsters, didn't he? Well, once he was dead, every monster should be dead."
"But they're not." Eddie pointed out.
"Exactly!! Evolution, baby. Darwin, in his Theory of Evolution, postulated that complex creatures evolve from more simplistic ancestors naturally over time due to 'natural selection' because only the better genetic code with beneficial mutations is the one preserved in the organisms with time. Like, the bad genetics won't reproduce. Get it?"
"We think that the monsters in the Upside Down are genderless and reproduce asexually. Maybe they use the vines to implant the larvas inside a host for them to grow."
With Mike's words, Will remembered the larva he vomited when he was back from the Upside Down and had to sit.
"Like the movie Alien," Eddie pointed out.
Dustin snapped his fingers and pointed at him, "Just like Alien. You got it."
"That reproductive system it's just a theory we cannot prove," Erica intervened. "Although, we've been thinking, and we came to the conclusion that if the Theory of Evolution could be applied with the world Vecna created, it was just a matter of time that the Upside Down monsters separated themselves from the hive mind. I don't know, maybe because of the food, or because of how bossy Vecna was."
"It could've happened with time, but the moment the gates kept opening and closing, the monsters had glimpses of our world. Of freedom," Mike was talking very excitedly. His eyes sparkled and his hands moved uncoordinated. "That's why, when Vecna was killed, his dead spread such an amount of power that our world felt it as an earthquake."
"That power could've broken the last strings to the hive mind. And, following Darwin, we believe that some of the monsters were already in that process of evolution; which means that the power break gave them the last push they needed for their evolution." Dustin continued.
"Yes. And we just have to remember how fucking fast Dart grew up. It's possible that the demogorgons that right now are changing worlds and are independent, were just larvas the moment Vecna died," Mike finished.
Hopper closed the distance with them with a frown, "All that science stuff is very educational, boys, but what does that mean for us?"
"That we're screwed," Erica deadpanned.
"That's a point of view," Dustin scolded her.
"It's not a point of view. It's the truth."
Lucas put himself between Dustin and his sister looking into his friend's eyes. "What does that mean for Max?"
Dustin looked at Lucas and glanced at Steve, who was watching everything from a distance. The boy took his cap off and ran a hand through his hair; the silence felt too heavy on his shoulders.
"It means that the monsters won't hunt in packs anymore. That's good. It means that if they step on a vine they're not going to have all the Upside Down in their tails. That's good too."
"What's bad, then?" Steve broke his silence.
After opening and closing his mouth three times, Mike figured Dustin wasn't able to answer, so he did it himself, "The uncertainty. That's bad. We can predict their hunt rituals, like the smell of blood, but we can't be sure about how many of them are going to show up at once. That's… That's worse."
"And the fact that it doesn't really matter if we make them come back, those demomonsters could open another gate any fucking time. Even in our bedroom. You know about the monster in the closet? Picture it as a demogorgon now. That's what's happening," Erica finished.
"If you must go. I wish you love. You'll never walk alone…" Y/N singing voice came through the radio.
While Dustin, Mike, and Erica explained their theory, Nancy had helped Eleven attach the amplifier Dustin had made to the radio and she'd found them.
"They're still here," she said.
Nancy took the walkie and pressed the button, the moment of truth. "Y/N? Max? Do you copy?"
"Oh, thank fuck! Nancy? Can you hear me?"
"We all can. Are you alright?"
A sad hysterical laugh vibrated through the radio, "Wrong question, Wheeler."
"We have a plan to get you out of there. Can you go to the old Byers' house?"
A beat of silence, "Are you fucking serious? That's… Shit. Fuck. I–"
"I can make it," Max's voice sounded stern.
"Yeah, because it's going to be fuckin easy to walk there with a sprained ankle. Sure. It's not like this fucking town is filled with hungry monsters or anything. But, hey, I have a knife and you have a softball bat. We could make it there. Sure, why not?"
Steve snatched the walkie from Nancy, "Breath," he commanded. "Y/N, take a deep breath. You can do it. We'll be there, on the other side, waiting for you. It doesn't matter how long you take, do the travel safely, you hear me?"
A wet, soft laugh came from the other side, "Have you mistaken me for some sort of superhero, Harrington? The distance. The lack of weapons. The health state of Max. The monsters… It's suicidal. I–"
"You'll do it. You can do it." He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and opened them again, this time he felt stronger than ever. "I've spent the evening thinking it was my fault that you went there. You would've gone anyway. The moment you saw Max and Lucas in danger you went to help them and that's what you're doing. The same thing you did when you jumped into the lake after me. The same thing you did for Eddie when Vecna started to kill. You protect the people you love, to death. It doesn't matter if it hurts or if it's scary or if it would mean the end of your own life, you keep fighting for the people you love. That's why I know you're going to make it to the Byers' house with Max. Go there. Take your time. Be safe. We'll get you back."
"Steve, I–"
"Oh my God!! Y/N!!" Max screamed. They heard glass broken and strong hits against a firm surface.
"Shit. Shit. Shit. Y/N. Y/N," Steve clenched the walkie anxiously.
Some rustling noise preceded a painful growl and a cry.
"We see you there," Y/N promised with heavy breathing.
Silence.
Eleven cleaned the blood from her nose. She'd won more power since Vecna was defeated but her nose kept bleeding with the tiniest effort.
Steve felt all the eyes of the room on him, "What are you looking at? Come on, we need to move."
To be continued…

Vinyl Flooring Ideas for Small Bathrooms: 7 Space-Saving Solutions
Tumblr media
When you're faced with the challenge of decorating a small bathroom, every choice you make in terms of design and materials matters greatly - including your floor. Selecting the right flooring can not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of your space, but can also make it appear larger and more inviting! This is where vinyl flooring comes in as a stellar option for small bathrooms, offering durability, water resistance, and a variety of designs that can transform your space. So without further ado, let's explore some innovative vinyl flooring ideas that are perfect for small bathrooms, ensuring you maximise space without compromising on style. Considerations for Small Bathroom Flooring In a small bathroom, the goal is to select flooring that will not only stand up to moisture and heavy use but also help to visually expand the space; vinyl flooring, with its vast array of colours, patterns, and textures, can meet these needs while also being cost-effective and easy to maintain. Before deciding, you’ll also want to consider how the right vinyl flooring can complement your bathroom's decor and make it feel more spacious and luxurious. Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) for Visual Appeal Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring is a superb choice for small bathrooms due to its ability to mimic the look of natural wood or stone, allowing you to add a touch of elegance and warmth to your space without the constraints of natural materials. The long, narrow planks can also create a sense of direction and flow, leading the eye along the longest dimension of the room, in turn creating the illusion of more space. When you choose LVP, you're not just selecting a flooring material; you're enhancing the overall visual appeal of your bathroom. Vinyl Tile Patterns for Illusion of Space Strategically laid vinyl tile can also make a small bathroom appear larger; for instance, diagonal patterns can trick the eye into perceiving more space, as they lead the gaze across the floor at a wider angle. Additionally, selecting larger tiles with fewer grout lines can also help to create the illusion of a more expansive floor area. Plus, with vinyl tiles the aesthetic possibilities are endless, so you can pick a pattern that speaks to your personal style all while making your bathroom look and feel bigger than it actually is. Light-Colored Vinyl for Brightness Let’s not forget about colours; choosing light-coloured vinyl flooring can instantly brighten a small bathroom and give it a more open, airy feel; this is because light shades reflect more light than dark colours, making the space feel larger and more welcoming. Whether you opt for soft beiges, gentle greys, or pale patterns, light-coloured vinyl flooring can significantly lift the atmosphere of your bathroom. Continuous Flooring Design for Flow To enhance the sense of continuity and space in your bathroom, you might also want to consider a continuous flooring design that extends beyond just the bathroom area. If your bathroom opens directly onto a hallway or adjoining room with the same vinyl flooring, it can make the bathroom feel like an extension of the larger space, rather than a small, enclosed area. Water-Resistant Vinyl for Practicality In a small bathroom, it's also incredibly important to choose flooring that can withstand the high moisture and humidity levels typically found in these spaces; water-resistant vinyl flooring options are ideal, as they prevent water from seeping through and causing damage. And this functionality doesn’t need to come at the expense of style, either, as water-resistant vinyl comes in a variety of designs that can complement any bathroom decor. Floating Vinyl Plank for Easy Installation Floating vinyl plank flooring is another excellent option for small bathrooms, primarily because of its ease of installation; this type of flooring doesn’t require adhesive or nails; instead, the planks are designed to click together and float above the subfloor. Plus, floating vinyl planks also allow for easy replacement of individual planks if damage occurs, so it’s a practical choice for potentially messy, high-traffic areas. Creative Layouts and Angles for Visual Interest Finally, don't be afraid to get creative with the layout of your vinyl flooring! Unique patterns or the use of angles can add visual interest to your small bathroom and distract from its size; you could also consider laying planks or tiles in a herringbone or chevron pattern to add depth and dimension to the room, drawing the eye along the design and making the room feel larger than it is. The Bottom Line So - if you're ready to transform your small bathroom with vinyl flooring, go ahead and explore the vast selection available at Flooring Hut: with options like rigid core LVT, you'll find the perfect water-resistant, stylish, and durable flooring to make your small bathroom appear larger and more inviting. Prepare Your Boobs for Spring Wedding Season
It’s almost spring, so it’s time to choose your outfits for any spring weddings on your calendar. While summer is a popular time of year for weddings, spring is also a great time to walk down the aisle (or sit in a comfortable chair as a guest). No matter your role in the wedding, you need to look fabulous. That means you don’t need a bra getting in the way of your wedding attire and ruining the effect. You’ve got to do something for your boobs to make them look fantastic throughout the whole wedding. Here are the essentials to do just that with a wedding bra.
Tumblr media
Super-Strong Boob Tape Leave straps and bands in the past. Make the wedding season a success for your boobs with an adhesive bra. Adhesives are a fantastic alternative. A high-quality adhesive bra—boob tape—will support your breasts and may even provide a little lift. With medical-grade adhesive on your boob tape, you should be able to wear it while you dance, sweat, and move through the event. Whether you’re the bride, a bridesmaid, or a wedding guest, you don’t want a conventional bra to ruin your outfit. When you wear bra tape, make sure you give yourself enough time for it to set. You can apply the bra and let it set while you do your makeup or hair. It should be okay to wear a lightweight robe if a professional is doing your hair and makeup. Stylish Wedding Attire Even if you’re not in the wedding party, the event alone is enough reason to find a stylish outfit. It could be fun to wear something you usually wouldn’t, like a chic suit, low-back dress, or silk skirt with a strappy top. All of these outfits are stunning options for a wedding. Plus, you don’t have to stress about what kind of bra to wear—that strong boob tape will do the trick. You can actually wear boob tape with any outfit, even if the outfit isn’t backless or strapless. These premium tape bras are comfortable and flexible, so they move with your body, making them an ideal choice for a wedding. You can wear them for up to eight hours, too. Soothing Aromatherapeutic Oil After a long day of preparing for the wedding and enjoying the fun, you have to take care of your boobs! Don’t fall asleep in your boob tape or simply pull it off. You need to use an oil to release the adhesive and protect your skin. An adhesive bra brand may offer high-quality aromatherapy oils to help you remove your boob tape, enhancing the experience and helping to nourish your skin. Spring weddings are a blast—you just need to pull off your wedding outfit without a hitch. That means you’ve got to have some boob tape available for these weddings. If you’re worried about running out of boob tape or getting a last-minute invitation, invest in a bra subscription. A subscription ensures you have your favorite adhesive bra delivered to your door so that you always have them when needed. It’s perfect for wedding season when you need to wear those outfits with smokin’ silhouettes and unique necklines. About Brassybra Brassybra is the first brand ever to offer a high-quality tape bra with medical-grade adhesive. Their product is super-strong, flexible, and comfortable so every woman can get the perfect fit for her girls. Plus, Brassybra’s adhesive bra can support up to a European G, which is a DDDD in the U.S. These bras are available in a variety of shades, so you can find a color suitable for your outfit or for a chic invisible look with a shade closest to your skin tone. In addition to inclusive boob tape, Brassybra offers aromatherapeutic oils to help remove the tape and nourish the skin. From the moment you take Brassybra out of the box to when it comes off, you experience what it’s like to enjoy wearing an adhesive bra. Broke Your Marble Kitchen Bench Tops? Here’s a Step-by-Step Guide to Glue Them Together
Marble is extremely durable and long-lasting. With proper maintenance, marble can last for years. But still, marble is breakable. Dropping something heavy on your marble kitchen bench tops can crack them or break them into pieces. But that doesn’t mean that you’ve to throw them away. If your marble countertop breaks, you can repair them by gluing them together. All you need to do is be sure that the glue is designed for natural stones and marble. Stone glue can give your marble a strong bond, making it difficult to break.
So, how can you glue the broken pieces of your marble kitchen tops with stone glue? All you’ll have to do is make sure that you’ve used the glue correctly the first time. Why? Well, because you can’t be able to loosen the glue bond to repair the marble pieces again. Then what should you do? Let’s unravel the stone gluing secrets from experts in the following blog post.
Tumblr media
A 5-step process to glue your broken marble kitchen bench tops together in the right way
Breaking marble may sound tough but well, it’s possible. You can potentially break, crack or chip a marble kitchen countertop by dropping something heavy on them. And it isn’t uncommon. Marble is a popular choice for kitchens. And the kitchen is the busiest place in the household. No matter how careful you stay, accidents still can happen and break your marble kitchen bench tops.
But well, you can glue them together using a stone glue. And here’s a step-by-step guide,
Step 1:
Clean the surface of your broken marble kitchen bench tops and the broken pieces carefully using a soft cloth dipped in denatured alcohol.
After rinsing them with clean water, pour a small amount of acetone onto the broken marble pieces and the broken countertop to remove the remaining coatings and finishes.
Now take a soft cloth to wipe the acetone away from the stone surfaces. Then leave them like that to dry for the night.
Step 2:
To use the stone glue, mix 1 part of adhesive with 1 part of catalyst or hardener.
If the instructions on your natural stone glue package say something different, then follow the instructions written there in the right way to get the best results.
Be sure not to mix 2 materials until you get ready to apply the glue on your marble kitchen bench tops because it can get hardened immediately afterwards. If wait longer to use the glue, it’ll become unusable.
Step 3:
After you prepare the stone glue to apply to the broken marble pieces, get a popsicle stick.
Spread the prepared stone glue evenly on about 1/8 part of an inch of each broken piece of your marble kitchen bench tops.
Step 4:
Now take a vice grip and clamp the broken pieces of your deluxe marble kitchen bench tops together, if possible.
If you’re repairing a small part of your marble tops like chips, weigh down the repaired area with something heavy like a brick.
If there’s any excess glue oozing out from the edges of the broken marble pieces, wipe it away using a damp cloth.
Step 5:
Once done, leave your glued marble countertop for 24 hours and allow them to dry.
After the glue dries off, sand away the excess glue from the stone surface with sandpaper.
Last, wipe the marble surface clean using a soft cloth.
Final thought,
Can’t decide how to fix your broken marble kitchen bench tops? Well, gluing the pieces together with stone glue can help you repair it. We hope this blog post can help you with that.

Choose the Right Cricut Mats for Your Projects to Get Started
Without any second thoughts, you will surely agree that Cricut mats are one of the crucial tools developed by the company. It doesn't matter whether you are a beginner or a pro; you should choose suitable cutting mats for your DIY projects. If you are clueless about what this Cricut mat is and what its types are, then this blog is beneficial for you.
From the moment I started creating custom-made projects, I was pretty sure that without the mat, I wouldn't be able to make any project. To carry on with the legacy of being a crafter, I need to be very cautious while using it for designing crafts. Let's dive into the world of the mats and their types.
What Are Cricut Cutting Mats?
Putting everything aside, let's focus on what this cutting mat is and why you should need it. In simple words, it is a flexible, reusable item that tightly carries the material during the cutting procedure. It comes with a strong adhesive that holds paper to wood in its place without damaging it. Due to any reasons, if your Cricut cutting mat is not sticky enough, then your material will instantly begin to slide down.
Plus, you can easily take off the material from this item and store it for the next time. Also, the Cricut mats are available in several sizes, stickiness levels, and colors. It helps the user choose which material is compatible with your mat and project design. On the other hand, you should select the correct Cricut item before starting the crafting process.
What Are the Different Types of Cricut Mats Used by Crafters?
As a professional, it's my responsibility to make you aware that this Cricut product has been categorized into four different types, colors, and sizes. Each version has its specific grip strength that is compatible with different materials. Moreover, choosing the mat entirely depends upon the type of project the user is going to make out of their craft machine. To your knowledge, I have briefly explained its types and projects that can be made out of it.
1. Cricut Strong Grip Mat — 12 & quot;x 12"
Referring to one of the first Cricut mats, the Strong Grip mat is specifically designed for holding heavyweight materials. It is the best choice for sticking cardstock, chipboard, mat board, and backed fabric. Also, this reusable mat holds the material firmly in its place during the cutting process. Besides, you can easily remove the extra pieces after the cutting process comes to an end. As an upgrade, it is made with water-based paint and available in purple color.
Tumblr media
2. Cricut Standard Grip Machine Mat, 12 "x 12" (2 ct)
Equally important, this cutting mat is ideal for cutting medium-weight material. It is compatible with materials such as vinyl, iron-on, paper-patterned, and more. Just like the earlier-said model, it tightly carries the material so it doesn't slip while cutting down the material. Besides, it is composed of water-based paint with solid adhesion spread in the whole area. Plus, it ensures the best possible adhesion and the longest possible life. With two mats included, you can load one into the craft machine while preparing for the next one.
Tumblr media
3. Cricut Light Grip Mat, 12 & quot;x 12" (2 ct)
Inside the Cricut mats variety, the Light Grip mat was made to handle lightweight material. You can easily stick material such as standard paper, light cardstock, vellum, and more on this mat. In addition, this reusable mat is strong enough to keep the material in its place as it cuts down the loaded material. By using the cutting mat, you will surely get the material in the perfect formation. Also, it is formed with water-based paint and strong adhesive.
Tumblr media
4. Cricut Fabric Grip Machine Mat, 12 & quot;x 12" (4 ct)
Equally important, most DIYers prefer this Cricut accessory while making something out of fabrics. It includes cotton, polyester, denim, felt, canvas, and many more. Also, this mat is a combination of increased strength and density along with light adhesive to cut fabrics. After making the tight connection between the fabric and mat, it keeps the materials in place while the cutting process is going on. Besides, the DIYer needs to remove the extra pieces, making the mat reusable again.
Tumblr media
5. Cricut Card Mat — 2x2 (2 ct)
Concluding the Cricut mats list, get ready to make four different cards at the same time with this cutting mat. This craft machine product is compatible with all the Cricut cards and is the best for making last-minute crafts. One of the reasons why it is famous is that it can make Birthday cards, Thank You cards & Valentine’s cards in just a single go.
Tumblr media
After sharing all kinds of info, it will get easier for you to decide which will be the compatible Cricut cutting mat for your project. Each model of this craft machine supply holds the ability to make severe projects that can help the DIYer brush up their creative skills. Besides, it's essential to keep all of these mats in good condition before they start getting worn out and affecting your crafts. Other than that, the above-said craft machine items are budget-friendly and can be accessed easily by any newbie or an experienced one.

What to Use to Repair Rotted Wood?
Have you ever thought what to use to repair rotted wood? Or that section of rotting wood fencing that now looks more like a sad pile of mulch than a barrier? Maintaining and repairing rotted wood can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be!
Tumblr media
With the right tools, products and techniques, you can breathe new life into aged or damaged wood structures. In this post, I'll break down the various options for treating rotted wood and help you determine which method is best suited for your specific project and wood repair needs.
What to Use to Repair Rotted Wood?
Rotted wood is a common problem that many homeowners face. It can be caused by moisture, insects, or simply age. No matter the cause, it is important to address rotted wood as soon as possible to prevent further damage and potential safety hazards.
So, what should you use to repair rotted wood? There are a few options available depending on the extent of the damage and personal preferences. Let's take a look at some popular choices.
1 . Wood Fillers
Wood fillers, also known as wood epoxies or putty, are one of the most common solutions for repairing rotted wood. They come in two parts that need to be mixed together before application. Once applied, they harden into a durable material that can be sanded, painted, and even stained to match the color of the surrounding wood. Wood fillers are a great option for small to medium-sized areas of rotted wood.
2 . Epoxy Resin
Epoxy resin is another type of two-part adhesive that can be used for repairing damaged wood. It has a stronger bond than wood filler and is often used for larger areas of rot. However, it can be more challenging to work with as it sets quickly and requires precise measurements when mixing.
3 . Wood Hardener
Wood hardeners are liquid solutions that penetrate deep into the rotted wood fibers, strengthening them and preventing further decay. This is a good option for smaller areas of rot that are still structurally sound, as it can help reinforce and stabilize the wood before using a filler or epoxy.
4 . Wood Replacement
In some cases, the rotted wood may be too damaged to repair. In these situations, it is best to replace the affected area with new wood. This may require cutting out the damaged section and fitting in a replacement piece, which can be a more time-consuming and labor-intensive solution.
5 . Prevention
While it is important to know what to use to repair rotted wood, prevention is always the best course of action. Regularly inspecting and maintaining your home's exterior can help identify and address any potential issues before they turn into major problems. Keeping wood surfaces properly sealed and protected can also help prevent rot from occurring in the first place.
Conclusion
Now you know what to use to repair rotted wood. In conclusion, there are various options available for repairing rotted wood, each with its own benefits and considerations. It is important to assess the extent of the damage and determine the best course of action for your specific situation. And remember, regular maintenance and prevention can go a long way in avoiding the need for repairs in the future.  So, make sure to regularly inspect and take care of your home's exterior to keep it in top condition. Your wallet and peace of mind will thank you!
