What if in middle school Steve and Eddie were the nerdy kids that were always together. Kids like Tommy H. would tell Steve that he shouldn’t be hanging out with someone like Eddie because he was the total opposite when it came to having a rich family and Steve ignored those comments for awhile. Until when they actually got into high school Steve avoided Eddie completely, even changing his entire appearance to fit in with the popular kids, he signed up for basketball too.

After that Eddie hated anything that envolves basketball (hence why he didn’t want anyone to go to Lucas’s game) he hates it with a burning passion. Out of spite, Eddie ditched the person he used to be. Now he was loud, a drug dealer, and he was in heavy metal band. Of course he was still into those needy things for the most part but he changed quite a bit since then.

When Steve and Eddie see each other again it’s under some very interesting circumstances, nonetheless they kind of missed each other and catching up was definitely on their list.

The person who put Nancy, Eddie, and Jonathan in a band; galaxy brain worms that I didn't know I needed.

Anyways yes I'd like to make a Rockstar au out of these thoughts and I will. It will be modern because I need them to have social media and Robin being hopeless and drooling over Nancy.

But Robin's thoughts are, there's no way one of those boys isn't her boyfriend because look at how cute they all are on socials together. And look at the way the drummer(Jonathan) watches her with pride and adoration. Plus Nancy is a dream boat...so like.

And yes Jonathan does look at her that way, but that's because he's so proud of what she's overcome. How strong she is(because yes ofc Nancy has trauma in this au...hello do you know me?)

Or Robin thinks maybe it's the dude on guitar; because Eddie is such a lovable presence on stage.

He completely feels the music, ruffling Nancy's hair with affection. Wrapping his arms around her and kissing her forehead. Because damn if he isn't proud of this silly little band, this family, they have.
