US Official talks about whether India agreed to cooperate with Canada on Nijjar’s killing
In the latest claim, the US has said that the Joe Biden administration, on several occasions, has asked the Indian government to cooperate with the Canadian government in the case of the death of a Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The official claimed that they wanted India to cooperate in the investigations.
Mathew Miller, the State Department spokesperson during a press conference said that the issues were discussed by Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Washington DC last week.
As he made clear then, I will reiterate now, we remain in close coordination with our Canadian colleagues on this question,” Miller.
"We have engaged with the Indian government on several occasions to urge them to cooperate with Canada’s investigation. The secretary had an opportunity to do that in his meeting with the foreign minister on Friday,” he added.
Answering a question about India agreeing on cooperating with Canada Miller said that India must answer this. “I will let the Indian government speak for themselves and I will speak for the United States government, and we urge that cooperation,” the State Department spokesperson said.
In the past week, the ties between India and Canada were estranged after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that Indian agents were behind the killing of Nijjar, a designated terrorist in India, and was killed outside a Gurudwara in Surrey, Canada.
The Indian government however rubbished the allegation and asked the Canadian government to present evidence before putting up allegations.

A crucial lesson was imparted to us by my professor Dan Schrag: climate change is a global issue that calls for coordinated global action. He would emphasise the importance of understanding the relationship between individual emissions and total global emissions in order to properly handle emissions.Since greenhouse gases combine in the atmosphere we all share, the place of emission is not important. In a nutshell, climate change is a problem that affects everyone on the planet, yet there hasn't been much progress made toward solving it.

"The world's coral reefs are close to 25 percent larger than we thought. By using satellite images, machine learning and on-ground knowledge from a global network of people living and working on coral reefs, we found an extra 64,000 square kilometers (24,700 square miles) of coral reefs – an area the size of Ireland.
That brings the total size of the planet's shallow reefs (meaning 0-20 meters deep) to 348,000 square kilometers – the size of Germany. This figure represents whole coral reef ecosystems, ranging from sandy-bottomed lagoons with a little coral, to coral rubble flats, to living walls of coral.
Within this 348,000 km² of coral is 80,000 km² where there's a hard bottom – rocks rather than sand. These areas are likely to be home to significant amounts of coral – the places snorkelers and scuba divers most like to visit.
You might wonder why we're finding this out now. Didn't we already know where the world's reefs are?
Previously, we've had to pull data from many different sources, which made it harder to pin down the extent of coral reefs with certainty. But now we have high resolution satellite data covering the entire world – and are able to see reefs as deep as 30 meters down.

Pictured: Geomorphic mapping (left) compared to new reef extent (red shading, right image) in the northern Great Barrier Reef.
[AKA: All the stuff in red on that map is coral reef we did not realize existed!! Coral reefs cover so much more territory than we thought! And that's just one example. (From northern Queensland)]
We coupled this with direct observations and records of coral reefs from over 400 individuals and organizations in countries with coral reefs from all regions, such as the Maldives, Cuba, and Australia.
To produce the maps, we used machine learning techniques to chew through 100 trillion pixels from the Sentinel-2 and Planet Dove CubeSat satellites to make accurate predictions about where coral is – and is not. The team worked with almost 500 researchers and collaborators to make the maps.
The result: the world's first comprehensive map of coral reefs extent, and their composition, produced through the Allen Coral Atlas. [You can see the interactive maps yourself at the link!]
The maps are already proving their worth. Reef management agencies around the world are using them to plan and assess conservation work and threats to reefs."

Really wish the media would learn the difference between Judaism, Jewish, Zionism, and Israeli.
Judaism is a an ethno-religion
Jewish/Jew is an ethnicity and/or person who practices Judaism
Zionism is a nationalistic political movement
Israeli is a nationality
Someone is not automatically antisemitic if they support Palestine! Antisemitism is the prejudice against Jews, who either practice Judaism, a religion, or are ethnically Jewish.
Someone who practices Judaism is Jewish, but someone who is Jewish does not necessarily practice Judaism.
Someone who is Israeli is not automatically Jewish or Zionist. That's like saying all Brazilians are Christian or all Americans are nationalists. Sounds absurd, right?
Someone who is Zionist is not automatically Israeli or Jewish! Many Jews around the world aren't Zionist! Your non-Jewish, non-Israeli neighbour could be Zionist! I see it all the time in conservative circles!
None of these are the same! 🙅‍♀️

I'm 5 feet tall with a delicate build, and I work out regularly. No amount of body-building changes the fact that the average man could easily wrap his entire fucking hand around my neck and EASILY choke me to death, or break my wrists or my fucking spine. That terrifies me. It terrifies me than in a real one on one fight to the death, I'd probably be the one dying. I'm thinking of that video where a woman stabbed a guy with a big knife like 15 times, and he still kept fighting, whaling on her. What the fuck are those tiny "self defense" blades supposed to accomplish ? My best bet would probably be to slice his jugular or push my thumbs into his eye sockets, but how the fuck am I supposed to do that if he's restraining my arms. It TERRIFIES me that I can't fight, and even if I could, I'd probably not stand a chance against the average man, and definitely not if there were more than one.
Do any of you know self defense tips that ACTUALLY work? No convoluted moves. If a brute has got me in a fucking chokehold, I won't be thinking about the steps of popular self defense moves. I'll be panicking, losing strength and consciousness. The way i see it, my best bet would be carrying a fucking dagger, but even that requires intense training to learn how to use efficiently.

“We are open to looking at it...” says External Minister Jaishankar on Canada’s allegations
India has been accused by the Canadian PM Justin Trudeau of the assassination of Canadian national Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June month. Nijjar was a pro-Khalistani figure.
Now, in his latest interview, Indian EAM S Jaishankar has given assurance to the Canadian government and said that if they will provide specific information about the killing of the khalistani leader "we are open to looking at it."
Jaishankar was speaking at the ‘Discussion at Council on Foreign Relations’ in New York where he said, “We told the Canadians that this is not the government of India's policy. Secondly, we said if you have something specific and if you have something relevant, let us know. We are open to looking at it...The picture is not complete without the context in a way”.
It is worth mentioning that Canada has still not provided any evidence to the public supporting its claim about the killing of Hardeep Nijjar.
Jaishankar also highlighted the rising rate of organized crime in Canada and mentioned that the Indian government has time and again informed Canadians of the same.
“…In the last few years, Canada actually has seen a lot of organized crime, relating to the secessionist forces, organized crime, violence and extremism. They're all very, very deeply mixed up. So in fact, we have been talking about specifics and information. We have given them a lot of information about organized crime and leadership, which operates out of Canada. There are a large number of extradition requests. There are terrorist leaders, who have been identified,” he said.
Jaishankar also showed his concern over the threats Indian diplomats have been receiving and the attacks over Indian consulates and added that such things are ‘very permissive’ because of political reasons.
“Our concern is that it's been very permissive, because of political reasons. So we have a situation where our diplomats are threatened, our consulates have been attacked...A lot of this is often justified, as saying that's how democracies work. If somebody gives me something specific, it doesn't have to be restricted to Canada. But if there's any incident which is an issue and somebody gives me something specific, as a government, I would look at it,” Jaishankar further said.
