Shah Rukh Khan has taken the identity of an action hero after the success of his recent release Pathaan. However, as per the actor, he had always wanted to be an action hero right from the start. Gajraj Rao, a co-star with Shah Rukh in one of his superhit movies Dil Se, recalled in a recent interview an incident that happened while shooting a small action scene in the movie.
Gajraj said Shah Rukh always wants action to be as realistic as possible. Exploring the time back in 1999, Gajraj said “There was a scene where my character captures his character and I was supposed to push him against the wall. We did the rehearsal and I pushed him hard. After the rehearsal, Mani sir came and said ‘just take care, you don’t have to push him so hard.’ He said so because he thought Shah Rukh is a big star and we shouldn’t push him so hard.”
He also shared how Shah Rukh reacted to this and said, “The moment Mani sir left, Shah Rukh said ‘no, no, Gajraj, do the same thing’.”
Gajraj quoted Shah Rukh as a charmer and a beautiful man and said that Shah Rukh has a way of making everyone feel like a part of him.
Manisha Koirala also shared an anecdote from the same film during a separate interview. She said that Shah Rukh, despite being a superstar, has always been very grounded. Shah Rukh always had tea while sitting on the floor with everyone else.

“Government knows both the language, the language of gun and talks ..” Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during a media interaction said that Congress Party has always followed double standards when it comes to the topic of Naxalism. He also said that it was important to wipe out Congress before uprooting Naxals.
On Monday, there was a special message on the CM’s official WhatsApp group where it was claimed that the CM mentioned eradication of Congress party as essential to uproot Congress party.
This message was sent to the group by an official administrator of the group. The statement from the CM came during a media interaction where he was answering to a question pertaining to the suspicion was raised by ex-CM Bhupesh Baghel.
Baghel had his doubts about the historic encounter which took place in the middle of the jungles of Binagunda and Korenar, an area that comes under the control of Chote-Bethiya Police station. The security forces carried out an operation where they eliminated 29 hardcore Naxals in a gunfight. Various leaders from the opposition parties including Congress raised their doubts about it.
Answering to the doubts, CM Sai said, ” Meanwhile, after Modi became Prime Minister the activities of Naxals shrieked and got confined into a limited small area. We are ready to uproot the Naxals from its roots.”
“Government knows both the language, the language of gun and talks, it will be better for Naxals to come to the table and start a dialogue to resolve the issue otherwise security forces can teach them lessons in language of bullets,” he added.
The path of violence is not good, instead they should focus on resolving the issue amicably, Sai said.
Lashing out at the Congress party the CM said, “the farming of votes via Naxalism is unconstitutional and dangerous for democracy. Congress party which gives birth to emergency rule in India, will be uprooted by the public one day itself.”

On Sunday, the wife of incarcerated Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Ms. Sunita Kejriwal claimed that her husband is not being provided with insulin in the Tihar jail because plots are being planned to kill him.
She was addressing the INDIA bloc rally in Ranchi where she said that every morsel eaten by Arvind is being monitored.
She also said that arresting Arvind Kejriwal without any evidence is pure dictatorship. She added that Arvind is an IITian and had every chance to go abroad and settle but he chose to be in his home country.
“They've put Arvind Kejriwal and Hemant Soren in jail. They've put them in jail without them being proven guilty. This is a dictatorship. What is the fault of my husband? Is it providing good education and health facilities? Patriotism is in his blood. He is an IITan, he could've gone abroad, but he prioritizes patriotism. As IRS, he took leaves to do public service. He has put his life at stake for people,” she said.
Calling her husband a lion, Sunita said that even in jail, he is worried about his country. She also added that Arvind has no desire for power and money.
"Many people say that this is difficult. 'Jail ke taale tutenge, Arvind Kejriwal, Hemant Soren chhutenge...' Politics is a very dirty thing. There is a camera on his food. Every morsel is being monitored... He is a sugar patient and he has been taking 50 units of insulin every day for the last 12 years. But he is not being given insulin in jail. They want to kill Delhi's CM. They cannot understand Arvind Kejriwal's thoughts... He is very brave. He is a lion... He is worried about 'Bharat Mata' even in jail," Sunita Kejriwal said.

He spoke about how there is lack of knowledge in the countrymen about RSS’s identity and said that people must proudly acknowledge that they are Hindus. The address was received by the crowd with a loud cheer.
Again and again someone comes and we become slaves due to our mistakes. It needs to be addressed. This disease needs to be treated; otherwise, such things will keep happening. We need to treat some of our basic mistakes, "Bhargava said addressing the event.
Adding to it, Bhargava said that it is important for the country to become united by a thread and become clear about our identity.
"Due to dis-orientation, there is lack of knowledge in our country about who we are and who is ours, about our identity and there is no clarity about it. Due to several years of slavery, there is mental suppression," the RSS chief said.
Hence, we need to organize the entire society with a common sutra which unites us all. We should know our identity clearly and tell the world as well. If we know who we are then we also know who is ours and that our identity is Hindu and we should say with pride that we are Hindus," he added.

Raveena Tandon opens up about pay inequality in Bollywood, “I have to work in 10-15 films to make what my male co-stars made from one.”
Raveena Tandon is celebrating the success of her OTT release Patna Shukla. Recently, during an interview, the popular actress opened up about the pay disparity in Bollywood. Raveena has been a top heroine for almost three decades now but despite her fame and success, she has faced many challenges including pay inequality in Bollywood.
Talking about her experience of working in the 1990s when male stars included Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, Raveena said that the males were paid way higher than the females.
She also said that she had to work for more than 10-15 films to earn an equivalent sum that her male co-stars earned from one movie. This created pressure on female stars to work on multiple projects at one time and also with multiple heroes whereas the male actors enjoyed having choices and work preferences.
"The money wasn't great for actresses in those days. In those days, the money was very, very low, especially the pay disparity between actors and actresses. Male stars got much more. What they would make in one film, I would make in, say, 15 films. I can't speak for everybody, I can't generalize this. I had to do nearly 15–20 films to make as much money as my male counterparts,” the actress said.
“In those days, Aamir and Salman were doing selective films while heroines would be working with many more heroes. But for everybody overall, the money was much less than today's situation,” added Raveena.
In a previous interview, Raveena also told how she rejected a few projects because she did not find the costumes or the dance moves appropriate. “No, I am not going to do this step. No, I am not going to wear this costume.” The star further added, “I have given up so many movies where I was not comfortable with the costumes that I was given to wear. There were so many songs where I said, ‘Sorry, but I don't think that this is appropriate and I have stood by that.' There have been times when I had to sacrifice a couple of movies and stuff for that. But then, so be it. But I had to live my life my way.”

“The United States is not going to get into the middle of this” US spokesperson’s reply to Modi’s “ghar mai ghus ke maarenge”
Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's recent statements the Joe Biden administration said that the US has always favored not escalating the matters between India and Pakistan. Still, they would refrain from involving in this matter. For the uninitiated, the two Indian leaders claimed that India wouldn't hesitate to kill terrorists in their homes.
US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller answered a media query regarding PM Modi’s “ghar mai ghus ke maarenge” statement on terrorism and said, “As I have said before, the United States is not going to get into the middle of this. But we do encourage both India and Pakistan to avoid escalation and find a resolution through dialogue.”
Miller was also asked if the statement from Modi and Singh can be seen as “confessions” on the alleged “assassination of (Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh) Nijjar in Canada, (designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh) Pannun's murder-for-hire plot in New York, and killings in Pakistan”, he said that the US would refrain from commenting on the matter.
Miller was also questioned about why the US has not imposed any sanctions on India over the alleged plot to assassinate Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. To this Miller said, “I am never going to preview any sanctions actions, which is not to say that there are any coming. But when you ask me to talk about sanctions, it's something that we don't discuss openly.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that scraping of electoral bonds as per the Supreme Court’s judgement in February is a decision that "everyone will regret when there is honest reflection" and has "completely pushed the country towards black money".
He justified the electoral bond scheme run by his government saying that the scheme was meant to fight the use of 'black money' which is unaccounted cash or funds coming from criminal activities and being used to fund election campaigns and that he had "never claimed this was an absolute way" to achieve that goal.
PM Modi also targeted the opposition for telling lies about the electoral bonds and said that these bonds were just a way to curb black money usage during election campaigns.
There has been a discussion in our country for a long time... that black money allows for dangerous games to be played during elections. That money is spent in elections... no one denies. My party also spends... all parties and all candidates spend, and this money is taken from the people. I wanted to try something... how can our elections be free from this black money? How can there be transparency for people giving donations? This was a pure thought in my mind," the PM said.
We were looking for a way. We found a small way... never claimed this was absolute," he said, building on comments from earlier this month, when he told a Tamil news channel "no system is perfect... shortcomings can be improved".
The remarks made by PM Modi on electoral bonds were a part of a full-fledged interview. He also gave remarks on the opposition INDIA bloc, the contentious 'One Nation, One Election' scheme, and allegations his government uses central investigative agencies, like the Enforcement Directorate, to target rivals before polls.

PM Modi is sleeping after taking sleeping pills, accuses Kharge during election rally
On Thursday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge set an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and referred to him as ‘sardars of liars’. He also accused the PM of "sleeping" after taking opium while China "entered" Indian territory.
Kharge stated while addressing an election rally in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. He also stated that it is Modi’s old habit to abuse Gandhi's family and ignoring the sacrifice done by them.
"Modi says 'I have a 56-inch chest, I will not be scared'. If you are not afraid then why have you left a large part of our land for China? They are coming inside and you are sleeping. Have you taken sleeping pills? Have they taken opium from the fields of Rajasthan... and fed you?" he said in Hindi. "Modi kehate hain 56 inch ki chhati hai, main nahi darunga. Agar nahi darte to fir China ko hamare bahut saa bhag kyo chhode? Wo andar ghus kar aa rahe, aap kya neend kar rahe ho? Kya neend ki goli khaaye ho? Kya Rajasthan ke kheton me se afeem le jaake'... ya wo khilaye hai kya?"
Alleging that the PM is busy abusing the Gandhi family, Kharge said, "He wants to take the people of the country with him by torturing them. He always keeps lying," Kharge said. "Modi is 'sardar of liars'."
The election rally was organised to support Congress candidate, Udai Lal Anjana. "The members of the Gandhi family sacrificed their lives for the country," Kharge said.

“Our devotion was questioned when an outsider was given a ticket” LJP leader Renu Kushwaha after resigning from the party
The Lok Janshakti Party saw an upside-down day on Wednesday when 22 of its party leaders submitted their resignations one after another. They also expressed anger about not getting tickets for Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
These 22 party leaders also included several notable figures such as former minister Renu Kushwaha, former MLA and national general secretary of LJP, Satish Kumar, state organization minister Ravindra Singh, Ajay Kushwaha, Sanjay Singh, and State General Secretary Rajesh Dangi.
It was said that the resignation wave was not to end quickly and resulted from the distribution of tickets against money.
"Tickets should be given to the party workers instead of people from outside. Tickets were given to the outsiders which means that able people are not there in your party. Are we the labor class people in your party who will work for you, and make you a leader? Our devotion was questioned when an outsider was given a ticket. We are not here to serve as laborers for the party." Said Renu Kushwaha while resigning from the party.
Former MLA and national general secretary of LJP Satish Kumar angered over the disparity in the party said that all the leaders submitting their resignations will now support the INDIA Bloc. "When such important elections are in the country, the LJP Supremo has given tickets to such people that the party workers are stunned. The people who used to raise slogans 'Hail Chirag Paswan', day and night and hoped for a 'new Bihar' have been betrayed, and their aspirations were crushed. Now, to save the country, INDI alliance has to be supported. Now we will support the INDI alliance.”

Arunachal Pradesh is, has been, and will always be an integral and inalienable part of India, MEA on China’s new name list for Arunachal Pradesh
On Tuesday, India came hard on China with its response to China renaming places in Arunachal Pradesh. India claimed that China is making ‘senseless attempts.’
In a reaffirming statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and that China’s efforts will not change that fact.
"China has persisted with its senseless attempts to rename places in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. We firmly reject such attempts. Assigning invented names will not alter the reality that Arunachal Pradesh is, has been, and will always be an integral and inalienable part of India,” read the official statement from MEA.
On Monday, China released a list of 30 new names for different places in Arunachal Pradesh. This is the fourth list in the row despite India strongly opposing such attempts from China in the past. The list is set to come into effect from May 1 and is being done following the rules mentioned in Article 13 that "place names in foreign languages that may harm China's territorial claims and sovereignty rights shall not be directly quoted or translated without authorization.”

“If I change the name of your house, will it become mine? Arunachal Pradesh was an Indian state, is an Indian state and will remain so in the future. Nothing will be gained by changing names,” the minister said.
