I feel like a pile of mistakes, like I should have known better, or if I'd been better they would have stayed. I don't like to show or share that about myself, because I'm badass and I build life and business and community like I fucking breathe. But that doesn't mean I don't hurt. That doesn't mean I don't fuck up. Because believe me, I do. And i never want anyone to look up to me wishing they had my life because I've led them to believe that I don't. When we break up, from a lover, from a friend, from a job, we let go of a part of ourselves. So often, we think it's about forgiving the other. I forgive you for cheating, I forgive you for lying, I forgive I forgive you for taking advantage of me. BULLSHIT. I forgive myself for not knowing my worth. I forgive myself for giving my power away. I forgive myself for screwing my self over in the exact same way again. So forgive yourself. Fucking. Let. Go. Hey pals! I hope you had the best Christmas! I spent the majority of the last two days sleeping - no lie. I think I've slept, collectively, 30 hours, today and yesterday. All of this sleep has been a glorious gift; actually it's the best gift I've received all year - sleep! It also makes me realize how much more of it I need and how I've been neglecting my body since taking on my business. I'm at the point now where I think it's time for a bit more moderation, and maybe even a day off a week! Goals for the new year, right? I spent this Christmas with my ex (totally civilized, I know!) and his family since I've spent the last 7 years with them every Christmas. It was such a nice break, and good to see the "in-laws," once removed. If you knew how interesting, brilliant, non-convential, hilarious, and rich with knowledge, love, and soul these people are you would understand why it felt so fulfilling - they remind me of how you can have a beautifully rewarding life, even if you don't live your life with conventiality!
