#this is so tmi but w/e i’ll delete later but like . absolutely terrified of starting with a new therapist#bc i wanted an option i felt safer with (someone not m*rmon & preferably who’s lgbt/lgbt friendly)#but there’s literally one single place that my insurance covers and it’s in my tiny m*rmon town#n the last one i went to made me so uncomfortable i had to stop going#and just like . i wanted the OPTION to feel safe and understood for all of me#but i already know i have to steer clear of religious trauma and of coming out#but the last one just straight up asked me my sexuality and put me in the position of like . coming out or lying abt it#or saying im not comfortable saying which would be the same as coming out basically and idk im so fucking sad and anxious abt this#even tho none of that is what im even going back to therapy for#but like . i just wanted to feel safe :(#and switching the insurance would be so much work and i don’t even know if i could . and if i did what if it was a waste and the person#who i wanted to see doesn’t work out and i have to start all over again and it’s just . i wanna cry sgjsgjfsj#don’t like starting with someone new and already knowing there’ll be huge parts of me & my past trauma that i can’t discuss :(

d4′s been doing a ton of collabs lately on jp and honestly i don’t blame them
#itlogthoughts#if i;d have to come up with a new story each week my creative juices would be drained right out of my body fr#hell i know there;s potential (esp with the newer units) but it;s still giving me a headache imo#it;s still insane to me that abysm is basically stuck in japan for now for probably a few years until their contract with sho ends#(unless he breaks it off early but knowing him he probably won;t)#i wonder if we;ll get another d4fes? it;s not unlikely since it would be an option to mix up the units again#the main problem with that though is we still haven;t gotten stories for 2 of the old shuffle units#plus it may not be necessary since. well it seems students of other schools can just hop on into yoba whenever there;s a music fes#so Ri4 M4 and RONDO are all covered lol#personally i haven;t found a pattern to guessing the d4 writers (and any time i;ve guessed i was. wrong LMFAO) so it;s a shot in the dark:#that we;ll probably get a story from one shuffle unit out of the blue#and more of the recent stories will focus on the new units#i still wonder about CoA and we still don;t have shano;s card here on eng for whatever reason#so idk anymore we;ll see what happens#hiiro is still a mystery to me though and i really like whatever she has going on with nagisa#so a nagi/hiiro relations event would be pretty cute ngl (highly unlikely)

so much of my blogging whenever I have classes is complaining about them but erm. in my defense they're stressful and overwhelming
#So ermm to vent a little bit#i dont know how to do anything on my own so the expectance for me to be able to for these classes is a lot#Like for this thing i need to write an essay outline based on an introduction paragraph only. which i think? means i have to find sources#for the details on my own. which i dont know how to do#i do know /technically/ but i dont know whats good information and trustworthy sources and also there's so much stuff to sort through#i was never taught how to do it and now when i try its just. confusing and frustrating and exhausting and makes me too upset to even keep#trying to work#and im not even sure what all of these points in the outline means because where it probably wouldve been explained was the lecture which#was canceled and the powerpoint for this week doesnt cover it#and there's the textbook but textbooks are nothing to me i cant process and retain information from them#which hey sucks for my online classes that are wholey based around teaching yourself from the textbooks#(but i cant do in person classes due to transportation reasons + mental health reasons)#but augh#im such a guy who cant do anything by myself and getting the amount of help i need isnt an option idek how to ask for any amount of help#like yeah email my professors but tell them what? i dont know how to do the class i signed up for?#that i dont know how to do basics 101 school shit? like im confused about some of the work and by some i pretty much mean all#and eaugh its not a frustration i can push through because trying to push through it just makes it worse it tips past#''oh idk how to do this. fuck''#into ''oh god i dont know anything about how to function im literally worthless''#which. i think i said earlier? makes it so i cant. work on anything anymore.#but also its not an option for me not to work bc i cant fail bc ill be expelled or whatever and charged money and what then#joyousposting#negative //#anyway sorry for getting suicide ideation over school back to regularly scheduled blorboposting or whatever

#basically the state dropped my class lol#because the grant i got doesn't cover online schooling#so they enrolled me realized their mistake and then took me out of it#and i feel angry but also hopeless#like i just can't catch a fucking break lol#so instead of looking for other grant options in MA i started calling around the healthcare scene in Maine#and found a very nice and informed person who is gonna help me try to find work + get training up there instead#and frankly i have to believe that SOMETHING will eventually work out for me#so hopefully this will be it

#ran out of tags on the other post but I've got so manynof these#was best friends with a pair of roommates who became so intensely codependent that they both had breakdowns when the other studied abroad#a guy who had siblings regularly terrorized my friend who also had siblings with the corpse of a roachnfor over a year (roommates)#ive known ONE situation where the only chold terrorized an apartment of sibling people. but that's because they were all poc and she was#insanely racist. like so racist that MY little pale jewish ass got weird vibes from her on first contact#learned some good lessons from roommates but none of them are things I'd be able to explain to a kid#except maybe 'if you get the feeling someone's mad at you all the time but won't tell you for some reason just move out'#oh! my friend had a partner who was a terror of a roommate. as in she psychologically terrorized my friend and their roommates#once listened in on a convo that went 'i shouldnt have to warn people I'm walking into an apartment I PAY FOR just because they want a date#oh also @ my niblings sometimes situations are unwinable before you even get there. sometimes people just make up their minds about you#and you just gotta deal with the consequences of that decision. if you're in an unwinnable social situation just hit the bricks#you can't fix something that isn't functionally broken and it puts you in situations where every choice is wrong#living with people who grew up with fucked up sibling relationships created a lot of '0 good dialogue options' situations#cant leave the living room because then they asked for something and got it and that's shameful. can't sit in the living room. they want it.#again i could have been a way better roommate. for a multitude of reasons some under my control some not. but lord in heaven#but having siblings does NOT socialize you to live with other adults i hate that myth every situation I've lived in has proved it wrong#NONE OF US had any clue how to live with people who weren't our relatives#and this will happen to you. you will move out and realize the extent of your habits cause most people's parents just tolerate stuff#or your parents just got used to things that would drive other adults insane and they don't notice the things you do cause they're your kid#(or they might have even taught you those habits/level of cleanliness themselves)#one dude at the boarding house got mad about being asked to have basic responsibility for his room. so he left it covered in trash#and when they went to clean it it was covered in a fine layer of mold on almost every surface. genuine biohazard scene#got hit with 'youre the only person i don't regret letting into my house' from the woman we paid rent to when i moved out#and I'm like gee the bar is in hell 😭

one thing the musical isotope cevio voicebanks have on like any other vocal synth ive seen is how intensely moody and expressive they can be. i thought it was just kafu who had that gritty breathy seething sound but rime and haru are also both great for angrier or more intense emoting
#i havent heard as much of coko and sekai just because i havent found as many covers with them but they also got some moodiness#i wonder how synthv kafu will fare. she sounds pretty good and versatile in the demos so far so im excited#i hope her moodiness is able to be kept around in it. that is one thing about synthv#i really love it i think its so great and accessible (especially price wise LOL) and versatile BUT#i want 2 things. 1) bring back glottal effects PLEASE im begging#and 2) i would like more options for emotive singing if that makes sense?#i can fudge a lot with the basic parameters and various scripts but i would love more drastically expressive vocal modes in more banks#and honestly more unique voices in general. i reeeeaally have been adoring haruno sora lite recently because she is SO like#unique and filled with character and she has this grinning giggly-ness to her voice. the ahsoftware banks are great for expression#but id love if we can go even further and more versatile. i know voicepeak has like#sad modes and stuff for their voices LOL id love if we could have something like that with singing. even if it sounds unrealistic#i am excited as FUCK for frimomen tho i cant wait to hear more of him i think he'll be really interesting

Fanfiction Authors: HEADS UP
(Non-authors, please RB to signal boost to your author friends!)
An astute reader informed me this morning that one of my fics (Children of the Future Age) had been pirated and was being sold as a novel on Amazon:
(And they weren't even creative with their cover design. If you're going to pirate something that I spent a full year of my life writing, at least give me a pretty screenshot to brag about later. Seriously.)
I promptly filed a DMCA complaint to have it removed, but I checked out the company that put it up -- Plush Books -- and it looks like A LOT of their books are pirated fic. They are by no means the only ones doing this, either -- the fact that """publishers""" can download stories from AO3 in ebook format and then reupload them to Amazon in just a few clicks makes fic piracy a common problem. There are a whole host of reasons why letting this continue is bad -- including actual legal risk to fanfiction archives -- but basically:
IF YOU ARE A FANFIC AUTHOR WITH LONG AND/OR POPULAR WORKS, PLEASE CHECK AMAZON TO SEE IF YOUR STORIES HAVE BEEN PIRATED.
You can search for your fics by title, or by text from the description (which is often just copied wholesale from AO3 as well). If you find that someone has stolen your work and is selling it as their own, you can lodge a DMCA complaint (Amazon.com/USA site; other countries have different systems). If you haven't done this before, it's easy! Here's a tutorial:
HOW TO FILE A COPYRIGHT COMPLAINT FOR STOLEN WORK ON AMAZON.COM:
First, go to this form. You'll need to be signed into your Amazon account.
Select the radio buttons/dropdown options (shown below) to indicate that you are the legal Rights Owner, you have a copyright concern, and it is about a pirated product.
Enter the name of your story in the Name of Brand field.
In the Link to the Copyrighted Work box, enter a link to the story on AO3 or whatever site your work is posted on.
In the Additional Information box, explain that you are the author of the work and it is being sold without your permission. That's all you really need. If you want, you can include additional information that might be helpful in establishing the validity of your claim, but you don't have to go into great detail. You can simply write something like this:
I am the author of this work, which is being sold by [publisher] without my permission. I originally published this story in [date/year] on [name of site], and have provided a link to the original above. On request, I can provide documentation proving that I am the owner of the account that originally posted this story.
In the ASIN/ISBN-10 field, copy and paste the ID number from the pirated copy's URL. You'll find this ten-digit number in the Amazon URL after the word "product," as in the screenshot below. (If the URL extends beyond this number, you can ignore everything from the question mark on.) Once this number has been added, Amazon will pull the product information automatically and add it to the complaint form, so you can check the listing title and make sure it's correct.
Finally, add your contact information to the relevant fields, check the "I have read and accept the statements" box, and then click Submit. You should receive an email confirmation that Amazon has received the form.
Please share this information with your writer friends, keep an eye out for/report pirated works, and help us keep fanfiction free and legally protected!
