missa, after his self resentment and lamenting about how he doesn’t feel worthy or like he should be accepted, after telling himself and the capybaras that he doesn’t have a home, not really - after all is said and done, he returns to phil & missa, leaving his mini mi in the house on the wall. as if he’d consider anywhere other than the house he shared with phil safe enough. seeking out safety and home brought him right back where he started.

something about how despite his internal conflicts and issues about what he thinks he deserves, he’ll still come back. and for all he worries that he is not enough to be loved in return, his name is still on the warp stone.

Imagine crawling under the Horned King's robe to cuddle with him ... It doesn't necessarily have to be a sexual situation (though it could possibly lead to that if you're both up to it - I mean does he even wear anything else underneath there?👀), but could also simply be a tender moment of both physical and emotional closeness.

Author's note: This was originally supposed to be an imagine at best or simply just me yelling out my thoughts about the Horned King, but somehow it kind of accidentally turned into a short story. Things you do at 5am I guess. This man probably has to much control over my mind at this point (not that I'm complaining).

The Horned King x Reader - Cuddling under his robe

It's cold this evening, though this is not something particularly unusual. The wind is howling around the walls of the castle, and you're snuggling a little closer to the Horned King as you're resting in your shared bed together. You feel his grip around your waist tighten ever so slightly, when suddenly an idea sparks up in your mind. Maybe there is an even better way to escape the cold than just pressing yourself up against him ...

He tilts his head, but doesn't say anything yet when you wriggle yourself out of his embrace and crawl towards the foot of the bed. You hesitate for a moment, but eventually decide to lift the hem of his robe.

"What are you doing, my dear?"

You can hear mild confusion in his voice, and stop in your motion for a moment, one of your hands pulling up the fabric a little while the other is resting on his calf.

"Just trying to escape the cold ..."

With that, you lean forwards and start crawling under the king's robe. The thick fabric holds off any light, so you let your hands follow the contours of his body as you move upwards, careful not to put your weight onto him in an uncomfortable way. You can feel a smile forming on your face as you finally stick your head through the collar - which luckily is wide enough to fit both of you.

"I thought it might be warmer underneath here, and I have to say that I'm not disappointed. But I also just wanted to be close to you ..."

The Horned King's gaze turns soft - over time you've learned to read his more subtle facial expressions - , and when you lean forwards a little to press a kiss onto his lipless mouth, you can feel him eagerly reciprocate the motion, to the best of his abilities at least. He lets out a content sigh as you rub your nose against his cheek and wraps his arms around you, resting his hands on your back. You allow your body to relax completely as you lay down on top of his own, and although he's not giving off any body warmth, you relish the feeling of being pressed up against his bare skin.

"This is perfect ..."

You mumble as you're nuzzling your face into his neck. Your eyelids are starting to get heavier as he gently rubs your back, and a yawn escapes you.

"Rest now, my dear."

Your king's soothing voice still reaches you as your consciousness starts to drift off into the shadows.

"Rest well. I will not be going anywhere right now ..."

#I haven't written any proper (fan)fiction in ages I have actually no idea where the hell this came from #it was such a good feeling though! Okay but all the little changes and everything in Scum Villain add up to the ultimate, biggest difference in the story, which is this:

Shen Qingqiu, who was an early villain in the novel who gets defeated relatively early in the story (relative to the fact that there are about a billion more pages after he becomes a human stick) and Luo Binghe, who was the main character, both completely reverse their roles.

Shen Qingqiu becomes the protagonist who is generally very well liked. The Shen Qingqiu of PIDW was a liar and a schemer and just about the most suspicious person in any given room at any given time. The Shen Qingqiu of SVSSS is a liar (by necessity) and a schemer (of ways to off himself but live through it) and just about the most suspicious person in any given room at any given time (if someone who I had a rivalry with suddenly called me a “beauty fading,” I think I would react in a similar way to Liu Qingge honestly). All the traits that made the character disliked are things that the others actively choose to ignore in the person, because they like him.

Luo Binghe becomes not just a villain, but the ultimate villain. The unbeatable villain. Luo Binghe in PIDW was generally very well-liked because he could manipulate people into thinking he wasn’t that bad and he was morally grey and he could defeat any monster with relative ease. Luo Binghe in SVSSS is generally disliked, particularly because whenever he pulls out his very convincing polite person cosplay, everyone knows that he is definitely manipulating them and is a bit wary of why. He’s morally grey but his morals are even more screwed up than his predecessor. He can defeat any monster with relative ease, but he can’t defeat any person he wants to, he can’t kill anybody he wants to, because he knows that Shen Qingqiu would hate him if he did and he doesn’t want that. The traits that the original used to his own advantage only makes this version more and more unhappy.

Shen Qingqiu goes from a villain, the villain the readers all most wanted for Luo Binghe to take out because of how terrible he was to Luo Binghe, to the protagonist.

Luo Binghe goes from the protagonist, the protagonist with hundreds of wives and the world under his control, to the villain.

I can never get over this role reversal, this swapping of spots, this absolute 180 of the characters from the base novel. It’s one of the clearest indicators of the story being permanently altered. It’s part of why they fit so well and work and it’s really good, it’s really really good I like it a lot.

“No way. APES.” As Ashido shakes her head, her earrings catch the pink neon light of the wall behind her. It looks like a little swarm of fireflies is caught in her hair. “Soooo much cooler. Our final exam was camping.”

“Oh, sick,” Jirou says.

“Well. Camping while digging up a lot of worms.” Ashido wrinkles her nose. Tomo must have been in the same class as her. In the few months after that exam, he remembers hearing a lot more about worms than a high school guy normally would put into a conversation. Maybe Tomo was doing it on purpose, to freak him out. It kinda worked on Tanaka. Tomo must’ve forgotten how many worms Eijirou moved back to the grass with his bare hands when they were kids.

On the lowest string of her guitar, Jirou plays a waaah waaah waaah sound. “See, Kirishima. It could be worse. You could be digging up worms right now.”

With his bare hands. “Nothing is worse than physics.”

Summary: In which Kirishima does no physics, works his way through all three floors of he and his friends' college house, and accidentally solves a problem that has nothing to do with the lab he has due tomorrow.

status of the now. i have not slept its 5am

#i am so tired but theres so much i need to do and i wont get it done if i sleep #because like ive been putting off showering and cleaning for multiple days now because i keep blacking out #and then shocker! person with chronic pain and probable heart issues is too tired to do anything but doomscroll in bed eat and then pass out #i wish i was like seven again so i could get rewarded for very menial tasks #give me a small dollar tree knick knack for brushing my teeth #i did not get knick knacks for chores at age seven but hypothetically #not a depressive episode but ive had zero motivation for anything lately #and i think its just because of my poor self care as of the past few weeks #its so hard to stay. in a routine though when you need to sit on the floor because you wiped down the counters #showering is such an ordeal i always narrowly avoid passing out #i need a shower chair probably but my parents would be pissy so sigh #also i dont own one #told alfie this already but i should invest in a walker #theres dust building in my room again too because i dont have the energy to stand on a chair and clean it #that and the last time i stood on a chair and blacked out and fell off #love being disabled slash ess #skyler posting #sorry for the rant this is my diary you understand

#one piece #first of all i'm trans so i have an unholy amount of trans rage #but second of all it's fucking unbelievable how stupid oda is #i'm mad but also i think a Lot about trans narratives. i see them everywhere because i'm. y'know. trans but also TRANS NARRATIVES #okay i would rewrite one piece and the rewrite exclusively focuses on making sanji trans in a good way.#yeah i'm talking abt transfem sanji now #look if transfem sanji was a thing in the show it would not be a good thing. a lot of harmful stereotypes.#but i think there's such a golden opportunity that has been wasted by transphobia #because look #a character who in early childhood was only treated well by women and poorly by men #growing up surrounded by men #starts building up a fancy masculine facade with wearing suits all the time #and it's a fucking devastating blow to their whole ideals of character but they're stronger for it #once they build themself up brand new. trans trans transgender trans #look ok i know this isn't the place to get it and i know that the transphobia in the world would probably make this shit #but i want a story where. a longtime character slowly realizes they are trans. it's like with marco from star vs again i wanted it so bad #i just feel like every time i see a trans character it's post coming-out. which i also love. but the realization of true self #and the slow process of REMAKING YOURSELF. Hello lémurblogs I have a question, how do you make your drawings? (๑'ᴗ')ゞ

Hello! It depends on each drawing. Generally, I sketch on paper and bring the scan into Clip Studio where I adjust the levels (make the whites brighter and blacks darker without losing too much detail) and redraw anything or adjust proportions with the transform tools. I apply color on top with layers set to Multiply, Overlay, and/or Soft Light.

An important step for me is taking at least a day to look at it with fresh eyes. If I'm stuck, it also helps to check how it looks on my phone. And lately adjusting the Color Balance has been my friend.

My process is pretty messy and I often don't have a plan; I just feel around to see what's good for a drawing and do it a little differently each time. For example I don't plan to color, shade, or add a background to 90% of my drawings, but they end up that way bc something will feel missing, so little by little stuff gets added.

I followed a strict pipeline as a teenager ("sketch this way, do line art that way, color like this") and ended up dreading digital art, so I took a step back. Now I give myself permission to be as messy, lazy, and improvised as I like. I'll draw or edit all on one layer even though that's not what people teach, bc it actually works for me.

I also find it useful to strike fast and finish as 'quick' as I can. Because it's natural for me to have drawings that become months or years-long WIPs. and that's fine! but it can't be everything I'm working on or I get discouraged.

Oh, and drawing on post-it notes really helped me complete those small illustrations for madaparty! It was such a life-hack when I realized it'll help me complete small ideas in one sitting. I love drawing compositions, but forget about them on a big sketchbook page where lots of little drawings have no borders, so the small post-its really helped. It also helped me think more with metaphor or staging, rather than getting lost in anatomy poses and being too literal.
