nothing more morally reprehensible than a cleric (checks notes) using the key features of their class…? surely that can’t be where we are regarding analysis of character actions in cr at this point.
#also like. fcg already cast turn undead around laudna he knew it wouldn’t destroy her.#like fcg does make fucked up choices fairly often but the cleric desiring to cast turn undead when there are many undead creatures isn’t one#also like. yes fcg was a shithead about it w his respect the gods comments but. very very specifically laudna Has been starting shit#in every convo even tangentially related to the gods laudna is the one who without clear motive goes Well What If Gods Bad Actually#which. sure . if u had a clear reason i’d be happy to follow the trail. i’d think it’s still a dumb claim but yk#like the few times when fearne has brought it up it’s been prodding the ideas the Others have in response#and when imogen has it’s been certainly self centered but that means it’s evidently motivated whereas with laudna it’s like. it seems like#she’s just trying to stir shit up which I Would Love if we got context for the Why#laudna is just as responsible for any situation where her and fcg are disagreeing as fcg would be . because they’re Both disagreeing#also of interesting note but. fearne and fcg are much more in the midst of an obvious disagreement. fearne is a changebringer Hater™ .#anyway my point is that a lot of fcg’s character at the moment is being a weirdo about religion so . don’t be shocked when he’s a weirdo#and also. it’s so so fucking stupid to see (jester voice) The Cleric™ cast turn undead and decide it’s more about interpret conflict#than it is. fcg has a very specific build that can be pretty restrictive in terms of beneficial battle actions. let them use turn undead#cr spoilers#cr tag

Struggles with it initially, not even sure if what he's feeling truly is jealousy. He can't find the word for it - it just hurts when you're smiling at someone like that who isn't him or the people in his inner circle.
Instead of confronting the new rival head on, he tries to divert your focus back to himself. He'll tug on your clothing, giving you an eager look and hint that he doesn't want to stay in one place for too long.
Physically and emotionally deflates when you turn your back to him. He idly starts to fiddle with his shirt sleeve, cloak or spear (which he drops a few times after trying to spin it like a baton to impress you), watching the person with one eyebrow raised, sizing them up.
He butts into the conversation when he can, adding his own thoughts or story insights even if they have nothing to do with what you were talking about. He tries to make himself sound super suave and skilled, but it all disappears when you give him the nod to whisk you away - tripping over his own feet as he salutes the competitor for your attention as a smug farewell.
Dorian
Our genasi bard tries to act all nonchalant about the obvious pick up lines (that he thinks are far to cheesy for a gem such as yourself) you're receiving.
But he fails miserably and comes off as incredibly suspicious, and throws non-stop questions at your admirer; what are their motives? Their background? Family ties? Anything to catch them out or bring some shady part of them to light.
He's tense and doesn't hide it well, shoulders hunched and arms folded over his chest, looking very annoyed until you glance at him, then is all charm with a reassuring smile, insisting ''Me? No, no, I'm okay, just fine. Don't worry about me, dear.''
Check in to see if he's fine once you guys have moved on; give his arm squeeze and a concerned look and he'll brush it off with a wave of his hand. Prod at him further and he eventually manages a sheepish chuckle and a confession that he was a little jealous.
Fearne
Mister must have been feeding off of her silent irritation, and that itself brought its own chaos. He wouldn't sit still, tugging harshly at the stranger's coat, doing his high pitch screeching whenever they spoke, and opening his mouth wide to reveal the furnace burning within him.
Now very uncomfortable with the magic monkey poking and prodding them at every given opportunity, your admirer's gaze landed on the tall faun standing a foot or two behind you, who offered an innocent wave. Her appearance alone had them stammering and trailing off.
She very calmly and deliberately toyed with the flowers in her hair, which were recognised as deadly poisonous blooms, and leaned on her Staff of the Adder, making sure the small serpent coiled around the top was visible. She had yet to say a word but her confident and wily aura had made quite the impression.
Plays the long game with the rival, patiently waiting for the moment they realise they've lost this battle and turn on their heels abruptly. With both her ears and mood perked up, she smiles at you happily. ''Well, they were just lovely, weren't they?''
Opal
There's not going to be much subtlety here. She makes a show of leaning into your arm/shoulder, glaring daggers at them while you try keep things light and civil.
Has no shame in asking the person that has your attention what they want with you, and ''Can this it be done on a day when our schedule isn't so busy? We are verrrry busy people, after all.''
She can hear Ted's amused voice in the back of her head just enjoying every second of her twin's discomfort in this situation. If Opal wasn't so stubborn she would've started a fight right then and there with her sister, but she stood her ground next to you.
Is all forced smiles and waves when your admirer turns to leave, but when they're just barely out of earshot she asks if you found them as boring as she did, yawning for dramatic effect.
Orym
Immediately adjusts his posture; back straight, shoulders back, chin up - it's all to try appear taller and the teeniest bit intimidating, but it ends up with him looking stiff and rigid.
He introduces himself, shakes their hand, bows his head in politeness, does all of the pleasantries when they notice him move to stand next to you quite obviously.
But on the inside he's conflicted, trying to force himself not to feel the slight sense of dread within him when you laugh at this stranger's joke - is he not funny enough? Should he try be more like this... oaf? Is that what you want? Is he capable of that?
Snaps out of his spiraling thoughts when you ruffle his hair playfully, asking him is he ready to get back on the road. He happily holds your hand and ignores the rest of the party snickering behind you guys as he takes the lead and all but drags you back to where the cart was stationed.
