[(A/N)]: I thought it would be obvious since I already mentioned it from my other blog on the pinned post that I’m portraying as my Marvel/TWST MC OC. I guess I wasn’t ready until now.

the thing is, if the unsullied really believed they were free, she would not have an army of 8,000. like, we are talking 8,000 individual human beings with 8,000 different backstories, personalities, hopes and dreams…

especially considering how traumatic their training is, there must be a (significant) number who would gladly leave fighting behind forever—if truly given the chance.

we know their training doesn’t really strip them of all individuality. some of them choose to reclaim their original names or make up new ones. in the past, when sold in too-small groups, their training would fade and they’d assimilate to whatever group they found themselves with. they do things like overindulging in food, stopping by a tavern for a drink, seeking out intimacy with women. in short, despite their traumatic pasts, they are still humans with human desires and motivations.

if they really believed they were free, some percentage would want to return home, some to travel to places they have always wanted to see, some to settle down, find love, raise families. some may be in love already and dream of a future together. some must have family who are also enslaved—like missandei—and dream of finding and freeing them.

but we’re supposed to believe that, given a choice to do absolutely anything they wanted with the rest of their lives, every last one of them chose to *checks notes* keep doing the same thing they were doing when enslaved? all of them? really? All Of Them?

unless, of course, they didn’t actually have a choice…

i do love canon amy & rory but god, does some part of me wish they really had gone with the idea of the doctor picking up a child as a companion (and then later, that child’s best friend with a huge crush on her.) with the rest of the season really not changing at all, except now it’s amelia pond with an angel in her head killing her and lost alone in the woods. it’s little rory who dies and is forgotten and becomes a toy soldier. if this is going to be a fairy tale, then let it be one. children have never been safe in fairy tales.

actually I owe a lot to TMOSTH because after it came out I went on a deep dive of sonic lore and. Ok. As a kid, I did not understand the obsession with sonic. I didn't even know there was lore I just thought he was a spiky blue boy who ran fast.

To be fair no marines have gotten a close enough look at them to know that they're all between 50-70 and are essentially the golden girls of the pirate age. Most of their "crimes" are just the government blaming them for some of what the strawhats do but also some of them are retired military and beat marine corruption with a stick because they're old, they're salty, and what's the government gonna do??? Arrest them???? They're old, they aren't gonna live that much longer anyway, that's why they went on the original mission in the first place

These flames can only be put out by him or another archangel. ☀︎Regeneration: His body heals quicker than he can really be injured, typical weaponry being useless against him. ☀︎Heightened Senses: Can see clearly much further than any human, much more efficient hearing, etc, etc. You get it. ☀︎Telekinesis: A force he can control with his mind, be it used to pick something up or cause an earthquake is up to him. Can be manipulated to serve MANY functions. ( sometimes he lifts himself up and flies around despite the broken wing, but he doesn't do it much. Makes him sad. ) ☀︎Memory Sharing: A sort of telepathy ( which he can use this ability for. Think about the mental version of one of those ransom notes people make out of cut up magazines... He does that with memories. ) Where he can either show his memories to someone else or view theirs. He tries not to dive into others minds too much, he's lived on Earth long enough to understand the need for privacy. ☀︎Empathy: Can tune in to how another being is feeling. Again, he tries to do this minimally. He likes to think he's picked up the social skills to do this organically anyways. May do it if he's curious, though. ☀︎Sedation: Can put someone to sleep by touching them. ☀︎Teleportation: You Get It. Be it by himself, another person, or together, he poofs pretty much every chance he gets. ☀︎Thermokinesis and Weather Control: Can change the temperature and weather. He can also make an object hotter or cooler. ☀︎Universe Hopping: This one might be more than a little self indulgent for me. ☀︎Immortality: He'd look absolutely bananas if he aged wouldn't he? But no, he keeps his vessel from aging and can live forever ( and has ) ☀︎Immunities: Things that might trap or kill a lesser angel don't effect him, and in his supernatural verses, none of the weapons in that universe can kill him. It has to be his own weapon from his own universe; The Lance of Michael. Higher and stronger beings can work around this. ☀︎Materialization: Can materialize any item he wants into existence. If it's a unique or magical item, he can't do this unless he knows where it's currently located. ☀︎Invisibility: Yeah

hi so i have a theory that all faith magic users draw their ability with faith from something to become more powerful (so like linhardt gets stronger the more he learns, mercedes the more she worships, flayn the more friends she has, etc.) what would rodrigue draw his power from in your opinion

I do like to think that it can be faith in Anything, so Rodrigue has this unwavering belief in Lambert and in Faerghus, and that just keeps growing. Belief in the Goddess. Belief in the future. Belief in Felix and Dimitri and that Glenn's death (and life) had meaning.

I think that he also has faith in himself, maybe not that he is the Most Confident person in the world, but he has faith that he will choose to do the right thing, and believes that he can make a difference for his home and all the people he cares about. He's adaptable and willing to approach things in different ways, and to act before the worry can set in, because he believes in just Doing the right thing.

And all that propels him forward, originating with Lambert (and Lambert's belief in him?)--and Rodrigue's unswerving loyalty to his home. Because Lambert is/was his home, the epitome of what Faerghus was becoming.

So in the context of your specific question, I think Rodrigue would draw power from the people he befriends and loves--the people he wants to shield. The more people he can and wants to protect, the stronger he can be.
