You lamenting to Teruteru that Shin doesn't seem to have anyone to hang out with outside of you and how you'd like him to make more friends and he's instantly like, "Let me introduce him to the two most social people I know" and sets up a double date for all of us!! (Is it still a double date if one of the couples is 4 people?)

Shin still kinda quiet and just letting you do most of the talking but Koro-Sensei and Taishiro canNOT leave this guy alone they know a shy kid when they see one and they will not let him just fade into the background he WILL be the one to answer their questions

We have a good time! We eat good food, go out somewhere and do something Shin would be good at (He's a gamer right? so like maybe an arcade). I feel like Shin and Koro-Sensei would form some sort of friendly rivalry constantly trying to beat the other at any game we all play. They are out for blood in Uno and what not.

Aaaaah that all sounds like so much fun we have Game Nights!! Maybe Shin visits The Hanamura family Diner from time to time just to see Teru and chat, if he and Taishiro's breaks line up maybe they meet up to get lunch together sometimes. ffjdkjgk It's cute it's cute they are friends!!!

Just for fun I mapped the strawhats onto Brian David Gilbert's "Mortal Comfort" Ideal Cuddler Chart. I don't think i have them 100% right but i wanted to start the Discussion yk?

Here is my reasoning (sorta-ranked from most to least ideal according to BDG's criteria, though your personal preference may differ (as does mine)) :

MOST IDEAL STRAWHAT CUDDLER AWARD goes to Jinbe! He is big and soft and kind. I think he would be very good at it. He would take initiative to rub your back and have pleasant conversation, but he let you fall asleep if you wanted to.

Nami: Not a super adventurous cuddler, nor does she do it often. She WILL pickpocket you, so be ready for that. She's probably the closest to normal you're going to get.

Usopp: He needs to fidget with his hands and is happy to comb your hair or rub your back or massage your shoulders, but he's going to talk your ear off whether you like it or not, and he'll whine if you try to leave. Extremely clingy and needy in a cuddle, and his pockets are full of little gadgets and tools that are not super comfortable to lay against.

Luffy: Very enthusiastic but he will not sit still long enough, man is constantly adjusting or twitching. He's prone to squeeze too tight with the wrap-around rubber hugs, and if you aren't paying close attention he WILL put bugs and beetles on you. He's also the type to think it's funny to wipe boogers on you, or put his cold hands up your shirt. If your arm or leg fall asleep he's not gonna move for you, he's gonna think it's funny.

Chopper: He hasn't had enough practice yet, he mostly just wants to be held. Very enthusiastic though. Constantly making sure you're comfortable, to the point where it's distracting/a little annoying.

Brook: Bones are not extremely comfortable, but he is able to summon a cool/chilling wind so the temperature control will be ideal, and he's very polite and gentlemanly when he's not trying to see your underwear. As long as you stack some pillows around him to actually lean against, you're golden.

Robin: She will be up to some freak shit with her devil fruit I know it. Being cuddled by a dozen hands may sound very nice but she will turn them against you, either to tickle you right when you're falling asleep or grab your ankle and let you think it was a monster under the bed. She WILL be up to mischief.

Sanji: Also constantly making sure you're comfortable, much more than necessary, and will dote on you WAY too much while you're trying to sleep. He'll keep getting up to grab water or a snack or another blanket or something and won't just settle into the cuddle unless you make him. Also he is likely to either catch on fire or start violently bleeding from his nose depending on the circumstances.

Zoro: Very open to the idea of cuddling but not an active participant; he just falls asleep. He is essentially a very hard body pillow. (If he WAS actively participating he may match where Robin or Luffy is instead.)

Franky: Not a single part of his body is comfortable or free of hidden guns, but he will damn sure try his best!! He will also try and hold conversation and compliment you, but much too loudly. The enthusiasm is there, but...man he's struggling everywhere else.

Arlo- can’t imagine he’d be into romance to be honest. I like holdlo but even that was irony that spiraled into unironically liking it. I think he would want someone he can boss around. Possess even.

Sera- too busy dealing with her friends insanity you have to be normal and well adjusted. She’ll fucking leave you.

John- have to have a decent amount of empathy. I think he would be too disturbed by someone who doesn’t.

Remi- Also needs to have a lot of empathy. Someone who can tolerate her periods of being a little obsessed with something. A bit of an anchor type

Blyke- Has to be about as passionate about justice and morality as he is. Also because I can’t imagine he dated someone other than Isen and Remi so I guess they would have to tolerate that he cares about them way more.

Isen- ugh this one’s hard. Wants someone who can take a joke and he can mess around with a little. Needs to be his friend and not just some person he’s dating.

I wonder what they talked about. I wonder if Patia ever glimpsed anything of what refracts out of Zerxus when you get him started on the Prime Deities. I wonder how much of what he said in that first conversation with Asmodeus would have resonated deeply with her. Who knows better than Imyr Por'co's granddaughter what it means to use and be used and be of use? Who knows more about hypocrisy in high places? Who is more intimately, viscerally aware that anyone inclined to lift you up today may choose to cast you down tomorrow if that's the day you fail them?

How would the Prime Tails polycule first date go?

You know, I'm not quite sure what their first date as a whole group would be

Like in all honesty, their real first date is probably something like hanging out at one of Tails' labs or the Grim and just playing games before making dinner together

But if they decide to properly reveal their relationship in a bit more public manner to friends or community members, I think some people would consider their first date the date where they all go out to like a cafe or an amusement park or something.

Well, here's what I'm thinking, just for context. I don't think all of the members of the polycule are hesitant about revealing the relationship, and I can see Sails or Nine assuming that one's first date has to be something more traditionally well known as a romantic first date. Nine is a member of the polycule I can see as having to have a buffer period of getting used to all this before he can feel comfortable being clearly on a date in public, but I can see Tails as someone who doesn't subscribe to the idea of the traditional first date.

So I think because of this their real first date would be more casual. Planned, yes, but ultimately not meant to be public or exciting. And frankly, even if it is just hanging out at the lab, fixing up some stuff, making food together, playing board games or video games, while there will undoubtedly be some hiccups along the way and plans thrown out the window, I think they'll enjoy it in the end.

However, if they decide to make their public first date (when more people know about the relationship) something like going out to a restaurant? Yeah that has the potential to be a disaster. For some reason that sonic boom episode "My Fair Sticksy" comes to mind. So all I can say is that Amy probably gets them a reservation at a nice restaurant, Mangey's not dealing with the change of clothes very well (he's trying), Sails is trying his best to "act proper" and remember the "manner lessons" Amy probably gave them all, Nine is performing to the T, except he's not controlling his expressions as well as he thinks he is (so he's largely got resting bitch face. Partly because he doesn't want to be here), and Tails is trying to play damage control.

I think that kind of "first date" would end up in the group leaving early, Tails leaving a fat tip, and the polycule eating street food together under the stars instead

She's back on the grind. Agnes this is surprisingly thorough variable-wise for a Twitter poll but I can't answer without a given lifespan. It's not going to be the same for a person who lives into old age and a child with a terminal condition, you know? Even "per quartile" it's relative to the length of one's life and whether an "untimely"/premature death is 1) a certain or almost certain outcome, 2) known to the person (e.g., from a progressive degenerative disease identified at birth; children in hospice; etc.).
