Elementals burn
Beasts howl
Fairest sing
And Darklings prowl
Wizened tinker
And Ogres lurch
The Forgotten hunger
While the Huntsmen search
Boil boil, toil and trouble
Fire burn and cauldron bubble
By the pricking of my thumbs
Something LOST this way comes
Watch the Vault Feb 14.

EVEN IF WE'D MET ON A CROWDED STREET IN 1944 AND YOU WERE HEADED OFF TO FIGHT IN THE WAR YOU STILL WOULD'VE BEEN MINE, WE WOULD'VE BEEN TIMELESS. I WOULD'VE READ YOUR LOVE LETTERS EVERY SINGLE NIGHT AND PRAYED TO GOD THAT YOU'D GET HOME ALRIGHT AND YOU WOULD'VE BEEN FINE

Meet The Writing Team
Hello Kinfolks! These last two months have been quiet for y'all in terms of updates, but BUSY in terms of the work being done by the sept of contributors to this project!
At the start of October I put out the call for help, saying that this project cannot succeed without the help and support of the Werewolf fandom. I'm happy to report that you as a fandom have responded phenomenally, and production on this series is now underway! These last few months have been dedicated to recruiting team members, and researching our book framework. We've about filled in the main core of the team, but are always looking for more help.
October through November has been dedicated entirely to research, both putting together a collection of citations we'll be using in this first book, and passing out initial writing assignments. This list is sure to grow in time, but for now we have plenty of work to do!
With that all said, I'd like to introduce you to the team that are showcasing the Gaians. Look under the cut to meet them!
Amy Waller (she/her)
Bluesky Page
Ms. Waller is a freelance writer and massage therapist based in not-quite Northern Virginia, and is a contributor to D.W.A.R.V.S. . Werewolf the Apocalypse was her first RPG, and she loves the themes of shapechanging as self-actualization and of trying to balance instinct and wisdom.
Amy has joined the team to depict the journals of Cryptobiologist Esme "Leaping Ghost".
Bek Andrew Evans (He/They)
Linktree Page
Mx. Evans is a freelance writer and illustrator from Jackson, Mississippi. He explores themes of mental illness, disability, abuse, poverty, queer themes and the intersection of these statuses. He uses body and psychological horror, meticulous attention to medical details, and deep character dives as some of his favorite methods to achieve those goals.
Bek has been indispensible in book research, and will be taking his experience with M20 Sorcerer and writing for the Hearthbound, and fictitious news article citations.
Excelgarou (She/Her)
Carrd Page
She's been described as a Werewolf: The Apocalypse academic, and wears this title proudly. She labors at all hours on resources for Werewolf fans - particularly as regards aggregating otherwise obscure information - such as the Build-a-Veteran tool or (especially) the Werewolf Index Project.
Excelgarou is our lead researcher, ensuring our book citations and narrative voices remain consistent through all editions. She has also been conscripted to write the introductory passage on the World of Darkness, and to redraft the Children of Gaia.
James "Jim" E. Deeley (He/Him)
Linktree Page
Jim has been playing, running, and writing for tabletop roleplaying games since he was first introduced to them over twenty years ago. Jim has presented on the subject of writing for games since 2010, and has been contracted to write mechanics and to do character design by the likes of High Level Games, Lostlorn Games, and Renegade Game Studios, but is equally skilled at writing lore and narrative, skills honed over two decades of running roleplaying games and medieval studies, lending a deep historical context to his writings.
Jim will write the Western Concordat, showcasing the Silver Fangs, Fianna, Get of Fenris, and Glass Walkers.
Mórag (it/its)
Mòrag is a writer and botanist from Te Wai Pounamu. It writes both botanical articles and horror stories, the former to raise awareness of ecological issues and the latter to explore what it means to be human, represent trans and autistic experiences, and addiction. It's horror writing is best recognized for its use of visceral first-person perspectives, body horror, and the grotesque. It is influenced heavily by works such as the Hellraiser films and the philosophies of Georges Bataille.
It has joined our team to write the story portions of the Song of Trillium, showcasing the legend of Tawatuy.

New Release for Deviant: the Renegades
Do you get the Origins mixed up (Epimorph and Exomorph sound awful close)? Ever wondered what the word cohort means or why a group of Renegades might be called that? Do you have a hard time visualizing what a Threat Level 3 Chronicle might look like?
I released my first PWYW title on Storyteller's Vault this morning: Dissecting Deviant to help with these problems. It has the real-world scientific and medical context for Deviant terms explained in easy-to-understand chunks, as well as expanded descriptions of the named threat levels based on the names' definitions and levels' stats.

Darkness over Dallas update!
Tumblr media
Hi, word nerds!
Things have been a little wild lately. Our washer flooded out the house and that's been a ton of fun with all the carpet being ripped out, vendors not returning our calls and other irritating problems that go along with that.
But, DoD episode six is progressing! I'm getting great feedback on the first draft and will be plowing into revisions pretty soon, after a Secret Project is complete (details to come)
Episode six is a little different. This is the halfway point and while the stories up till now have been fairly self contained this one sees a lot of plot threads get threaded together here. Just about the only major character who doesn't show up here is Winnie the Action Scientist from episode two. (and guess what? She's the star of episode seven- Night Rangers!)
We got Etherites, virtual Adepts and Hollow Ones so far, and I'm introducing an Akashic Swordswoman here. Who else will show up? Well I won't have the time or energy to fit ALL of the splats into this but I will try. I can say that episode eight will be an Ecstatic melody with a lot going on in terms of crossover.
After that, things will get sort of insane. Hope you all enjoy the ride

This is a quick pitch draft of something I'm going to be working on. The first edition, which will contain Forsaken and one other splat, will be released FOR FREE. Later, I'll release a version with all four for money.
Names and stuff are subject to change, ofc. This is a first draft of a first draft to say the least.

Behold, a Book!
After a fair amount of hard work, I'm proud to announce that I've just released my first RPG book! It's Shrouded Legacies, a Vampire: the Masquerade, 20th Anniversary Edition, supplement available on the Storytellers vault! It features six new clans of vampires, each with their own themes and clan culture, and six new disciplines crafted just for this book! If you're interested in such things, or even just in VtM fiction as there's also a fairly lengthy short introductory story, I love it if you checked it out!

Minor Sphere Symbols for The Book of Fragments: A Guide to Minor Spheres by Pooka G
This Storyteller’s Vault fan-made supplement for Mage: the Ascension required symbols to represent the Minor Spheres detailed in the book. These symbols were based in-part on historical alchemical glyphs and rendered in a style similar to what was used for the official spheres. Get a copy of The Book of Fragments. Commissioned in 2022.

Hearthbound Tribe Supplement v2.3!
New Expanded Version Available Now on Storytellers Vault!
All proceeds go towards funding additional artwork for Dead Mountain
Tumblr media
Hello Kinfolks! What started as some formatting fixes and spelling corrections have turned into full spellcraft mechanics! Remember my first-ever book? Yeah, the one I released earlier that was basically the result of an unholy alliance between queerness and insomnia? Well, it's baaack! But this time, it's got a fancy new edition and a whole bunch of improvements that I promise will make you howl with excitement (or at least politely applaud).
Tumblr media
10 pages of new content:
Better formatting, probably!
Garou Sorcerer guidelines
Cipher Glyphs for spell-storing
Enough Sorcerer mechanics to play them at your Werewolf tabletop!
Hearthbound gives you a new inclusive faction and multiple levels of intrigue to add to your Werewolf: the Apocalypse tabletop! Long kept beneath the heels of the Garou Nation, Crinos-Born and Kinfolk have found solidarity in supporting each other and have turned out en-masse to demand disruptive change from their Tribes.
Inside Hearthbound is a peek into the birth of a new kind of Tribe that venerates the ideals of Shantar, a patron of inventiveness and creativity and keeper of The Loom. They are taking a critical look at the heart of the Garou Nation itself. Long sold on the lie that Kinfolk cannot care for Crinos-Born children, an awakening is happening within the Nation, where the families that raised these Garou realize what they are doing to their Crinos-Born. This sparked a movement to help Crinos-Born, who sought a means to escape their Tribes and Septs.
These Hearthbound, beholden to the people they love, act as judges of those Garou that abuse the Litany to systemically oppress each other. They are ambassadors to the spirits on behalf of their kin, Nannas to the Crinos-Born they help free, and Sorcerers capable of blending into societies and rewriting the Pattern Web.
There is a deep hurt within the Garou Nation.
The Hearthbound have risen to protect those oppressed voices that have existed at the edges of The Nation for millennia. The background and rules for creating a Hearthbound up to Third Rank!
No original art!
New Gifts!
Expanded Tribe histories and faction dispositions!
Guidance on confronting the Litany, Hearths, Covens, Fellowships, and Renown!
Story seeds on how to incorporate Hearthbound into your chronicle!
Hearthbound was created with queer, trans, and disabled werewolf players in mind. I always loved the setting but never felt the game held space for queer and disabled folk, and 5th edition even less so.
A supplement that fits into this world does not pretend the bad never happened. This isn't to say the bad should be erased (indeed, that's worse in many ways) but rather is something that was, since 1st edition, something meant to be presented as antagonistically bad to social progress and meant to be confronted by players. However, this intent was very poorly conveyed, and a few too many people saw the bad stuff and took it as gospel for how they ought to behave in the world.
Hearthbound is my first step towards driving home the point that players are supposed to be confronting the Garou Nation and not celebrating and reinforcing the status quo.
I've gone through the intense emotional labor of reviewing the old books line by line to distill both the public and private faces of each Tribe and have categorically laid out the open cultural wounds that exist within each Tribe. The old books always used their literature to progress the world canon, and this aims to do just that. To pretend these problems didn't exist in the writing is disingenuous.
For those who found deep problems in the game but always wanted to play Werewolf to directly confront these things, Hearthbound is dedicated to you specifically.
And because I don't think inclusivity should have a price tag, I've made this supplement free to anyone who wants to challenge the status quo at their werewolf tabletops.

Now Available!
I'm proud to present my first community content available for sale here. Here's the cover summary: Geraldine “Geri” Wayfield grew up as the pastor’s daughter. The pastor was a faith healer who could back up his claims. The family-cult she descended from was frequently blessed with impressive feats of spiritual power. Spiritual Gifts were supposed to be her birthright from God, and Scars were a shameful sign of lacking faith.
The problem was, she wasn’t developing even the lowliest Spiritual Gifts despite her father’s power. And he was impatient and cruel. Spare the rod and spoil the child, after all.
Now Geri’s grown up and her father’s dead. She killed him. Her cohort helped her after she finally Diverged and escaped the cult after decades.
Today she’s in her first therapy session with a Remade psychiatrist. Maybe she’ll even attend more than one session. This is an illustrated novella that contains 16 original internal illustrations. It also features a poem in the introduction by my cousin who, like me, has personal experience with cult/religious abuse.
Content warning: This novella is for mature audiences and contains discussions of abuse, particularly physical, emotional, and cult/religious. Drug use and self-harm (in the opening poem) are also mentioned. Reader discretion is advised. It's been a journey and a meticulous process preparing everything and I'm glad it's finally over. I hope some of you can enjoy this work with me. You don't have to be terribly familiar with Deviant: the Renegades as most of the relevant parts of the setting should be explained in context. For more information and creator commentary on Thoughts and Prayers, check out my tag here.
