I'm starting an art blog (not abandoning this one)

Hey guys!

Sorry I keep disappearing for long periods of time. The last few months have been a bit of a mess.

I have been trying to find the courage to try and start making money from my art, and I'm finally starting to set things up so I can have a slightly more professional online presence. Which, to be fair, it's simply setting up an artblog for more serious pieces that isn't also flooded by reblogs.

I only have one post ready to go but you can now find me as drowsysaer. I'm definitely going to post fanart on there as well, but I'm going to be bouncing around between other things I am a fan of and want to draw.

I plan to keep being active on here as well, both with reblogs and posting most of my pokemon related art. But if you want to support me or you're just curious to see what else I'm working on that's where I'm going to put most of my energy for now! tl;dr: I have a new art blog!

((also, if anyone is worried about the animation, I'm just terribly slow since it's not a medium I'm used to, but I still plan on finishing it!))

Something that was challenging to create

Probably the first batch from everything-else-but-Inktober 2020. I decided to drop the idea of messing with inks and straight up exercised on things I usually fail at / wanted to improve. The whole challenge was, well, a challenge. I remember struggling from day 1 to 30 because I'm terrible at studies, I tend to filter and filter and filter and... But I like the results!! This fanart of Ophélie from Le Passe Miroir, which I'm very proud of ;; I know it doesn't seem like a huge accomplishment or an art megazord, but I was very in my head before opening Photoshop but during the process, when I realized I was doing exactly what I pictured beforehand, I just couldn't stop being proud of myself lol which is something I don't experience a lot :'''

Also this comm I did for @n7viper that made me say "oh, you can handle this" This was quite the experience ;; thanks again for letting me work on this dude <3 I started with a greyscale then added colors, which is a technique I used some times and like, I was sure it was challenging because it's super hard to balance everything out, but when things came out exactly how I wanted them to be?? Woah, alright Picasso, slay

In regards to these news, I'd like to precise that I've opted out of "third party sharing" (AI scraping) on this blog and my main @thecrimsonvalley. In light of this tom-fuckery I've some thoughts to share but placing those under a TLDR: concerning my art/projects.

I've already had a harder time to share my work than usual these past years with every new thing that the world wide web is rolling out to fuck over artist of all kinds. I've tried to still post stuff here on my artblog every now and then but with these news: I am really on the fence of if I will ever share any of my personal work.

As for my writing/drawing projects: it is possible that I will stick exlusevly to my AO3 account and not post the art here at all. So if you wish to follow the projects please consider following them at my AO3. The only exception to this rule I can see is if I participate in fanzine projects where I might post small promotional images.

I will also continue to participate in Artfight (if summer depression doesn't kick my ass too hard).

If you do like my blorbs you can always check me out at my toyhouse as well!

Sorry for dragging things down but I am not mentally strong enough to deal with all of this other than to opt out and not give anything else art wise. I dearly hope that you all understand. Please take care of yourselves!

So I've been dealing with physical problems on top of my mental problems. Not to mention the financial struggle. But that's neither here nor there. I wanna try to bring this blog back again. This time, I'm gonna try to simplify it even further. I'm playing with brushes and my artstyle a bit right now, so feel free to drop me some feedback.

I'm also going to clean out my inbox again? And I'm sorry if your question goes unanswered, I got several paragraph-long asks that seems really convoluted and oddly specific, that I might end up tossing.

As always, I appreciate everyone who's stuck around this little blog of mine.

Unrelated to this blog specifically, I think I might set up a blog to post my non-minecraft arts on. I haven't tried to have an artblog or artposting anything in a long time.

okay so. i was at my peak when I posted those suna fanarts. like that's when my acc grew the most? i truly appreciate all of the support!

now, I haven't drawn him in a very long time (not just him but I haven't really drawn for the hq fandom in a while) this isn't me falling out of love w hq or the chars or anythING like that! I have noticed that I grow more as an artist when I indulge in and draw for other fandoms. this way I get to draw chars with unique character design? I also get insanely burnt out when I draw the same character over again and again. there are many artblogs that are dedicated to one fandom alone or like drawing for one specific character but that's something I can never get myself to do. I once did exactly that and it costed me a huge art account that was once my pride and joy (I abandoned it 2 years ago btw,, drew for a specific fandom for 3 years until one day I just couldn't?) I don't want to repeat that mistake ever again because I didn't just lose the acc but it also made me fall out of love w the fandom?

ever since that incident I've never been hard on myself or forced myself into drawing for one specific fandom, if I start feeling even a little iffy or get that whole "awhh shi wait am I drawing to satisfy the ppl who follow me on here?" feeling, I just stop. and go draw for other fandoms, indulge in other things etc. also noticed that I get into artblocks a lot when I'm continously focused on drawing for one fandom?

I don't know where I was going w this but anyway- all i want to say is! its okay. its okay to draw for other fandoms. don't ever feel pressurised to keep producing content for one specific fandom just because you want to please your followers/friends or want to grow your acc. because hun we both know thats not gonna help you grow. acc? maybe yeah but that's not the growth I'm talking of rn. and you know exactly what i mean. AND it's okay when the current fandom you're making content for doesn't get you the attention, appreciation, love your old works used to get. don't get discouraged. (I'm speaking to my inner child here shhhhh)

just wanted to get this out because I feel like- nono not just feel I'm speaking from experience here hdjdjdjdj that many artists feel extremely pressurised to keep serving for one fandom. (like I said earlier there are MANY artblogs that draw for one specific fandom and theyve done it for years and grown which is amazing honestly!! this whole thing isn't targeted towards them. I'm only referring to the ones who feel like they're restricted or bound to produce content for a specific fandom)

Plus it really supported myself to share the thoughts with everyone who has a lot to learn about my forestville and the characters that I've made.

*Ambermod continue explaining herself with anonymous who is mixed with female and male collided together in one. Mod made this character because she thought it would be helpful towards everyone that we don't know what gender is anonymous. Therefore this character is now active who can ask questions while talking to you and me. *

Ambermod: Please keep this in mind for everyone sake that I am not trying to hurt anyone, someone might overlooked at me that I'm copying their ideas,stories and stole their art creation. Trust me I've got myself in big-time trouble with this one person who claims that I stole his art and did not added his name. Even though I've already post the story and reboot his name tag on the first page blog when he told me so. Sadly it was already too late to request that offer.. What's done is done I have to move on and cancel that story while rebooting it.
