ok so (explanations under the cut)

in order of worst to best we have-

F - satosai. get out of my face, satosai.

full disclosure though- i used to really like satosai, but then i grew as a person and part of that is realizing satosai is painful amounts of overrated and mid (im joking obviously, though i do truthfully dislike it, no shade to you if you do. plus i still look at ship content of it sometimes because it’s there in mass amounts and they’re cute sometimes). also some satosai fans are so annoyingggg (you know the ones) and will go after other saiki ships and be like “anyways satosai better” and i do genuinely think you’re annoying and should get off of my page if you do that.

E - kuboyasu x teruhashi. it goes in E tier for “Eh?” because i do not get it

i have nothing to say about them, to the point that it’s not even funny. this is like, a very sober crackship to me. im sure someone who does really like this ship could sell me on it but it hasn’t happened yet. i see this ship around sometimes and just get so confused. i do not see the chemistry

D - kubosai. even more confusing than the last one in some ways but i kind of see the charm of it.

again though, nothing much to say. they work aesthetically, like—the bones of a good ship are here, but there’s no meat to tear into. in their canon/close to canon versions i cannot see it at all (probably because i like other ships with both of them a lot more), but in a good fic or au i do very much indulge in the BAMF x BAMF content. yeah idk what else to say, they’re so low on here because i just do not think about them as a romantic pairing or seek it out. i don’t know why it’s so popular (unless there’s some solo chapter with them as a duo that ive never seen)

C - imuteru, hii x satou, and makoku (with one u). yeah, I know, C tier for “Contreversial Take” i suppose.

OK LET ME EXPLAIN OFFICER-

imuteru used to be higher up on the list, but then terusai took over my body and soul, and i just can’t really see them together anymore. whenever i think of imuteru i think of unrequited imuteru on imu’s end and that makes me sad :( for some reason this same effect didn’t happen with teruchiyo or mikoteru but that might be that those two have other ships with the characters aswell idk

satou x hii would be further up because i do really like them together and i think the whole luck balancing thing is super cute, i just don’t think about them enough to put them higher. yes, your boos are understandable, and your tomato throwing. someday i’ll decide to read a fic about them and it’ll probably become B tier idk

.. ok now you REALLY HAVE TO HEAR ME OUT. makoto x kusuo could be so funny. this is a true crackship, and one laced with the absolutely most fatal drug cocktail you’ve ever seen. in a world where makoto isn’t literally a walking incest joke and is just a protective and pretty idiot it slaps so hard. kokomi would hate it, kuusuke would hate it, his parents would be questioning how kusuo managed to bag a famous actor without mind control. it is utter chaos and so so much better for it. i think they should be more popular and it’s probably my worst saiki k take. still, putting them any higher is basically saiki k fandom sacrilege atp so.

B - nendou x saiko, mikosai (+mikoteru and teruchiyo which weren’t on the tierlist for some reason), kaisai, and yumekai. now we’re getting somewhere. i quite like all of these.

nendou x saiko is just very fun to me. idiot for idiot but it’s in the romcom rich guy who doesn’t know shit meets guy who doesn’t know shit either. silly x tries to be serious but can’t really pull it off. i think they can both mutually make each others lives better + their interactions in canon were great. i wish they were more popular

oh boy mikosai!! oh boy, mikosai… mikosai is the first sight of my polyship i like to call “psychicshipping” which is where i ship all of the PK psychickers together romantically as a weird kind of OT4. i have so much to say on mikosai and a lot of thoughts about them, and i do genuinely like them as a pairing a lot, BUT. it ranks lower than the other psychicships because the fandom put a bad taste in my mouth with it. often, i see a lot of people hating on terusai in favor of mikosai or saying that mikosai is somehow more valid and im like “?”. it often feels like mikosai is the het saiki ship for teruhashi haters, which SUCKS because i do see the vision. like, THIS:

this is great, yk? they look good together and the dynamic is great, but the way the fandom treats and characterizes them is not even close to how they should be, at least to me it’s not. this image sums up my feelings on them pretty well:

closing thoughts: i should be the only one allowed to ship mikosai because only i understand them NEXT

mikoteru + teruchiyo bonus round because i like them too and they deserve to be here: these ships are both great in my professional opinion, but their paragraphs get combined because i don’t have a lot of vested interest in them specifically despite really liking them. I think teruhashi’s problems could all be fixed if she had at least one girlfriend (preferably more) and that is my only thoughts really. i get very happy when i see people making ship content for either of these, please make more yuri content with teruhashi now thank you !!

kaisai!! this was the first saiki k ship i read a fic for and the first ship i enjoyed. it’s very nostalgic to me because of that. to me they give “greasy gamer who could be blown over by a ghost of wind boyfriend who likes getting himself into trouble x stoic but secretly sweet boyfriend who subtly protects him” which is a rare and overlooked dynamic i think, and something you can’t really get from kubokai. kubokai might still be better but that doesn’t mean kaidou doesn’t have two hands now does it? closing thoughts: i think they’re very cute and need more people to see that, romantically or platonically.

yumekai. i think they should’ve been canon in the end idc idc. i might like other ships with these two more but that does not mean i won’t acknowledge how much i like them. they are honestly one of the best het ships in the entire fandom and need more recognition!! they can be angsty mutual pinning. they can be toothrottingly fluffy. they can be so infuriatingly stupid (they are always stupid but shush). they can be the incarnation of young love. they can and should grow old together. the only reason they aren’t higher up is because, like i said before, i like other ships with either of them so much already so there’s not enough room in my heart for them 😞

A - mikosuka (plus aikechi and torikechi bonus rounds that will both be getting their own paragraphs this time), saikechi, torisai, kubokai, and nendou x hairo. OH YEAH BABYY! all of these are solid and the fandom hasn’t ruined them, in fact all of the stuff ive seen of them slaps. 10/10

mikosuka. please be more popular aaa!! the only reason it’s not is because of how much toritsuka got done dirty in canon for the “pervert character” trope- and how much the fandom just despises him. they’re hilarious in a “married couple who do nothing but fight all the time but everyone can tell they love each other anyways” way to me, not to mention how they’re also a part of psychicshipping. i do think they work better as part of a polycule with saiki to center them, but i saw a post about how aiura could’ve been mistaken and toritsuka might’ve actually been hinted as her soulmate and it’s been a majority of my thoughts since. i think they should get married after a long journey of selfdiscovery for them both where at the end of it they decide they both like life better with each other. i think they should stay in a “will they won’t they” like idiot love interests in a bad but popular tv show forever. i live laugh love mikosuka. i think they both deserve better (mostly aiura but toritsuka too in some ways). closing thoughts: brain running wild all the time 24/7 for these guys forever and ever.

aikechi. i hadn’t really thought about them before making contact with @/no-psi-nan’s posts about them but now my eyes are OPENED!! honestly before that i just saw them in the polypsychiccule as connected via their mutual love for saiki but not with each other directly, but now they are so much more than that to me. he’s the right amount of calm to nicely contrast her passionate fire in a way that the other two just aren’t. they are the pinacle of competent 4 competent while still being idiots in their own ways. aiura shows a picture of him to someone and says “this is my loser pissboy husband. i love him so much”

torikechi. i started liking them in a similar way that i started liking aikechi but the vibes with them are so very different than aikechi. compared to toritsuka, akechi is the cool one and that is crazy 2 me. really really dumb x only a little bit dumb but extremely unhinged in other ways. akechi can finally talk at someone who and be halfway listened to without annoying the other person because of toritsuka being used to ghosts randomly appearing to talk to him all the time and he is ecstatic. toritsuka is just happy to be here and also very confused tbh.

saikechi. what’s there not to like about saikechi tbh. a lot of canon backing and the childhood friends trope? peak. the potential that this ship has for angst and hurt/comfort is sososo good gahhh!! akechi being torn up about saiki leaving and saiki feeling guilty. saiki thinking that he’s done something horrible and not expecting forgiveness, but receiving it anyway :((( aaaaa!!! “you really shouldn’t forgive me. you should hate me” x “i already forgave you, and how could i ever hate you when i love you so much?”. like??? hello??? they make me cry. they make me so happy. they can help each other heal and become better. they could even make each other worse if you play your cards right (you’d be evil for it tho). closing thoughts: screaming crying shaking sobbing throwing up clawing the ground and punching my pillow because of how much i care about them

torisai. they are so funny lmao. also they complete the psychicshipping love square

(^the psychicshipping love square. pink line between names means those two characters are dating, in love, married, etc.) so ofc i love them. as mentioned, i think they’re very funny (a common trait of a lot of the ships i like) and i think saiki could fix him (/j). not much to say since they are my head empty ship but yeah i like me some torisai

kubokai. do i even need to explain?? like torisai there’s not much i really feel i need to say about them but like. who doesn’t like kubokai? these two could not go an episode without doing something gay and we love them for that. not to mention the piles upon piles of content for them. closing thoughts: ofc i like kubokai, who doesn’t like kubokai?

nendou x hairo. HELL YEAH BABYY!! <- my reaction when i see a post about them. underrated as hell, just like how these two are as characters. they’re my sillies. the silliest gay couple ever. aso shuichi agrees trust me. also that chapter where they got mistaken for a couple was so fucking funny. it’s a shame like no one knows about it since it’s basically softcore in some parts so it didn’t get animated

S - terusai and aichiyo. MY FAVS! i eat breathe and live on this. i have a current pintrest board of these ships because i love them so much.

aichiyo. give me more aichiyo content, NOW. aichiyo is seriously my favorite aiura ship, and i look it up on this godforsaken website, and you know what i find? LIKE THREE POSTS. THREE. THATS BASICALLY NOTHINGGG. and there’s not really a lot of fics ive found about them either (if you have recommendations i want them. please). that episode where they interacted was so gay it outshined nearly everything else. like- they’re so in love!! *shakes you* listen to me damnit!! they love each other!! they’re just so adorable i don’t know what you want me to say. look at them LOOK AT THEMMMM

terusai (ending with this one instead of going in order because they are my number one favs out of any saiki k ship to have ever been concocted). AAAAAHH!!!!!! I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCHH!!!! terusai is the kind of ship that grows on you the longer you’re a fan of the show, and now it’s my straight up comfort ship. anyone who disagrees is WRONG this whole fandom is WRONG and im not afraid to say that. if you don’t like them at least queerplatonically i think your takes are immature and stupid and im blocking you. terusai is perfect for a fluffy future au where teruhashi is the breadwinner and saiki is her housewife. infinity/10 best romance ever written no complaints. there’s so many terusai moments and chapters (remember when teruhashi was about to confess to him as kuriko and he was blushing???like??? how could anyone see that shit and still think he genuinely hates her… i know i sound so mean here but idc im so so tired of this fandom and the absolute DISRESPECT terusai goes through on a daily basis) thank you aso shuichi for gifting the world with teruhashi and terusai. closing thoughts: i love them and if you don’t i do NOT want to hear about it. id fight the whole fandom over them if i had to im not kidding.

Hey there!! I love your work and I was wondering if you could do a thing where a chocobro have a nightmare. A friend of the 4 join to help (perhaps like they are pretty much like their lil nurse on the go) but they wake up to the bro in a panic and soothe them back to sleep with a song. On the verge back to sleep the bro realize they are in love with them (I'd probably cry if you used the Stand By Me lyrics. A lot of your fluff ones make me cry bc they're soooo cute. f!friend if that's chill)

I do hope that you don’t mind if I did this OT4+1-ish, the idea sparked and then it wouldn’t leave. At all…it demanded!

You were trained not to panic, you were trained to stay calm in any situation that involved harm to yourself or your companions. You remain calm when you had sprained your wrist after yourself and your mount had fallen during an attack. You remained calm when you had jumped before that needle spray. You remained calm when your right side as pierced in confusion training when you had to assist with taking down a recruit.

So why was your body now attempting to make you cry, and shake?

You knew why you knew exactly why but you couldn’t allow that to happen. You had to brave, you had to be strong, you had to be calm for them.

While out on a hunt, the five of you had been surrounded by a group of deamons. Confusing as it was still very much bright outside. You had managed to dodge the spew that it tossed out, but your friends not so lucky.

They had begun to react to whatever this stuff was almost immediately, and as the healer of the group, you decided to actually put your authority for your position and call a tactical retreat. Nearly halfway back to the campsite, Noctis had passed out, Gladiolus not far after him. They were the ones in the main line of fire.

“Iggy, I hate to ask this, but can you please help with Gladdy.” You called, as Prompto helped you support Noctis.

You wanted to run back to the tent, but both Prompto and Ignis looked even worse. You had managed to get within the ruins before you had lost Prompto, and Ignis managed to help you get Gladiolus in before he fainted beside the big guy. That was fine enough, you could move Prompto and Noctis easily unlike the taller duo.

As your hands went to adjust them better, you jumped back, whatever they were covered in was starting to burn. With quick apologies to their unconscious bodies, you began to strip them, running out to the campfire, as you tossed them in. You’d apologize for the clothes but figured they’d much prefer being alive rather than have serious burns.

As you scrubbed them down with a few water bottles you had lying around, you found yourself starting to lose the tension within your shoulders and hands, as you found there didn’t appear to be lasting damage.

Until you heard Noctis cough.

You pulled out your phone, searching through your Monster Encyclopedia, it was a type of Malboro, the acid was supposed to aid in eating your friends, it had a 99.99% survival rate, but the symptoms lasted 48 hours, and could cause hallucinations and fever.

“You’ll be fine guys.” You cooed, pulling their sleeping bags over them. Leaning forward to remove Ignis’s glasses.

It was going to be a long 48 hours.

“Easy Gladdy.” You called, only 2 hours into this and the sun was just starting to set. The big guy was getting frustrated in his sleep and didn’t seem to enjoy whatever dream he was having. You surrounded your hand with an ice spell, placing it on his head, only to smile as he calmed down. “You’ve gotta keep the covers on big guy, you have to sweat this out.”

“Y/N?”

You turned, smiling at Ignis he was slipping in an out of sleep, the guy never knew how to rest, “You thirsty Iggy? I don’t think you boys should stomach food until your stomachs settle.” You replied, the fresh memory of you shoving Prompto’s head into a bucket to avoid him throwing up over his sleeping bag again. Then again Prompto did have a weak stomach without being sick.

“If you’d be so kind.”

“Anything for you.” You cooed.

Eight more hours passed, as you figured they were out the worst of it, Noctis’s cough had stopped, Prompto managed to force down some crackers and ginger ale, and didn’t cough it back up. Ignis finally slept for more than twenty minutes at a time, and Gladiolus had stopped shiver.

You sat outside the flap of the tent, keeping it slightly unzipped so that they got some fresh air. You knew that you wouldn’t get much sleep tonight and would be up most of the evening to make certain they were fine.

You must have dozed slightly, cause next you recall was your head snapping up as you turned hearing a weak cry in the tent. You slowly crawled into the tent, eyes focusing on Noctis as he gave a slight trash, he was already prone to nightmares, so this poison running through his system more than likely wasn’t helping.

Crawling over Ignis, you maneuvered Noctis’s head to your lap, stroking back his sweat-soaked hair, performing another ice spell to try and get the fever that spike back up. A soft hum in your chest, it often caused the Prince to calm down from his other nightmares. Luckily it was working this time as well, he always liked the song despite how sad it made you feel.

“I won’t cry, I won’t cry

No, I won’t shed a tear

Just as long as you stand, stand by me”

You turned seeing Prompto grasp for something, he and Gladiolus were the biggest cuddlers of the group, which was often why they slept near each other, but having both of them bundled so tightly to sweat out the gunk more than likely didn’t help their urges.

Placing Noctis down softly you moved over to the two of them resting a hand on their chest, rubbing a circle. There was no potion or medication you could provide but you could give them comfort.

Well into the second day, you hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep, but by that evening the boys were able to sit up and actually stomach food enough to eat.

“Here, it’s just chicken soup, I’m not Iggy but you should be able to keep it down.” You replied, handing out bowls.

“It tastes awesome.” Prompto cooed.

You sat cross-legged in the tent, happy to see that they had gotten their color back, and with a good nights sleep they should hopefully be back to hundred.

“Have you gotten sleep, Y/N?” Ignis inquired.

You waved it off, “I’m fine. From what I read, you guys should be fine by tomorrow. So rest up, I’ll take care of everything.”

With fevers down, and stomachs actually feeling fine you laid them back for the night. Hoping that the would get some actual sleep tonight. You moved to sit outside the tent again, looking to the night sky. You felt so silly, but you realized what the problem was and why you panicked so much when they were hurt.

Most things couldn’t drag the Prince from his sleep but nightmares like this could. As of late, they would quickly disappear, still, his eyes were drawn across the tent when he heard Prompto whine. More than likely being cuddled by Gladiolus too roughly, he moved to lay back down, only to hear Ignis huff, and then one from Gladiolus too. Were they having nightmares too?

Y/N did mention that that stuff could do this.

Noctis hummed slightly at that, his nightmares didn’t happen too often now, when things got too bad in his dreams he’d feel a comfort and then the familiar scent of your lotion. He had started to drift again when he felt that comforting hand on his head, and that soft lullaby, only this time it wasn’t the normal one you sang.

What is this hollow kind of helplessness I’m feeling?

This type of terror is new

And the fact that I can hardly breathe is now revealing

How much I’ve changed ‘cause of you

Noctis tried not to show that he was awake, but a soft whine did leave him, as you moved over to Ignis, then Prompto and Gladiolus. Storking their head, as you softly sung the song for them.

You must not have been exhausted as you hadn’t realized that the others were also slowly coming out of their rest to listen to the lullaby.

You light the world for me

You live life fearlessly

Braver than the bravest of us do

You trust, you hope, you dare

You choose to feel and care

I thought that I was strong till I bumped into you

What do I know about love?

As sleep came over the four men it dawned on them.

That was it…

You jumped back as the bacon popped grease, “How does Iggy do this at like 6 in the morning?” You huffed.

You never took the others for granted, but you were honestly missing them right now. Your banter with Prompto and Noctis, Ignis’s actual cooking that wasn’t just toast, eggs, and bacon, Gladiolus being able to help move the heavier items around camp.

“I have it.”

You nearly jumped from your skin, as you felt a hand on your own, “Iggy.”

“Please have a seat, you’ve done enough.” Ignis smiled.

“No, no you just got better.” You attempted to argue.

“Gladio, if you wouldn’t mind.”

You hadn’t even heard the big guy, until his hands were on your hips, picking you up and moving you to the chairs, plopping you down.

“When’s the last time you’ve been sleep?” Gladiolus asked standing before you.

“I got some sleep last night.” You replied, only to find the guy leaning into your personal space, not uncommon for your group of friends. “What?”

Gladiolus gave you a boyish smile, “Never realized how cute you look in the morning.”

The thought hardly register, before you felt him press a kiss to your forehead, something you had done last night to him while you thought he was sleeping. You went to retort but Ignis was already requesting his assistance with plating the food. Only to be brought back to reality when you felt Prompto hug you tightly, also not uncommon.

“Morning Sunshine, hows your tummy?” You smiled, moving to grab his extra pills you held on your person.

“Much better cause of our white mage.” Prompto beamed, as you handed him the pills. “You’re the best, Y/N.”

You froze again, as you felt Prompto press a kiss to your cheek. Hardly hearing Ignis call for Prompto to wake Noctis.

“Here you are.” Ignis smiled, handing you a plate that looked nothing like what you were preparing. “You haven’t been eating the last few days, I hope this makes it better.”

“Thanks Iggy.” You called, he almost always gave you food first, even with Noctis at your side.

“My pleasure.” He replied, pressing a quick kiss to your forehead.

“This looks awesome Iggy.”

“I’m starving!”

You were honestly on autopilot eating your food, you could taste it but why were they exchanging kisses that you gave them last night? Only for you to turn as Noctis muttered walking out the tent, despiting sleeping for almost 48 hours he was still a lump.

“Morning Noct.” You flushed, as he pressed a quick kiss to your cheek, before flopping back into the seat. “Wait! Wait! What is going on here?”

“Is something the matter, Y/N?” Ignis asked, taking his seat beside you.

“I just, what?” You tried to explain, and keeping yourself from getting overheated and dropping your food. “What is going on, I don’t understand…the kisses…I mean I like them…but,”

“You sure you didn’t catch what we had?” Gladiolus chuckled.

“Maybe we should rest another day,” Prompto replied.

“You have not been resting well while taking care of us. You should rest in the car, I’m certain Noct and Gladio won’t mind you stretching out.” Ignis stated. “Besides you deserve a hotel.”

“Yeah maybe.” You replied you had been breathing in the fumes of the bile, and maybe tossing the bile sick clothes within the fire wasn’t your best idea, plus you had touched the bile quite a bit when handling the guys.

Within an hour, you had returned back to your journey, and fine with the fact that your four boys were healthy and ready to roll, your body finally allowed for you to sleep. As your head nodded forward, you hardly heard Ignis’s voice.

“Gladio, please catch Y/N.” Ignis called.

“Here she can use my jacket,” Prompto stated.

You felt yourself be moved across the seat and the soft lull of a heartbeat under your ear as Prompto covered you with his jacket.

“Here.”

“Awe you can be nice.” Gladiolus chuckled.

“Shut up.”

You spared a smile, but just before you drifted off, you knew that you didn’t imagine it, one of them was humming the song from last night.

About the soulmate au I was rambling.

I have read a few soulmate AU where, if for whatever reason Marinette and Adrien decide to keep their status as soulmates in secret, Lila would be trying to fake a soulbound with Adrien.

There’s the wild idea. Yes, Lila is a liar, but what if everything is a lie, but that. What if Lila is actually Adrien’s soulmate and not Marinette or anyone else.

If recoilled in disgust at the idea, great, we are in the same page (Why I’m doing this to myself again?). And no, being soulmates doesn’t mean they will end together, don’t worry. But this can get angsty, so be careful.

So, Marinette and Adrien aren’t soulmates. (But Adrienette will be endgame anyway, actually, the endgame is lukadrigaminette, because I’m a sucker for polyship and I need more content of my ot4)

As I said before, Lila is Adrien soulmate, unfortunately.

Marinette soulmates are Kagami and Luka.

In this AU not everyone has a soulmate, there’s a way to know if you have a soulmate or not, but I haven’t think on how exactly that works. Maybe you just, know that. And the way to identify your soulmate is a mark that appear in your skin once you met your soulmate.

There’s like, a social issue, is that usually people asume that, if is your soulmate, then you must be romantically involved with them. Actually, Soulmates can be either romantic or platonic, in depends on how their relationship develops.

In modern times, isn’t unusual for soulmates the end in bad terms because of this, like one wanting a romantic approach and the other not feeling the same way. But talk about this is seen like something taboo and had a lot of victim blaming on it.

Season 1 is mostly the same, Marinette still having a crush on Adrien and Chat Noir on Ladybug, even if they know they aren’t their soulmate. More like a wishful dream.

Then Lila comes to scene and doesn’t disappear a whole season like in canon. I mean, she just found out that Adrien Agreste is her soulmate, which makes her plan even more easier.

Adrien on his side don’t feel comfortable around Lila. He decides to give her another chance because she is his soulmate, but she isn’t taking it, don’t respect his personal space and she want to force him in a relationship with her. But still, he is too passive to stand for himself.

Marinette want to help, but is told off by her classmates. They tell her that she should just give up and let them fix their problems. Marinette is frustrated. (Not salt on the class actually, they just don’t know any better.)

Then enter Chloe, who gives no fuck about what their clasmates think about her and just go a split liladrien apart. (For Adrien relief.) Isn’t just jealusy (maybe a little), but she noticed how uncomfortable Adrien was with Lila clinginess and decided to interfere. She even keep herself to hug Adrien for a while, trying to give him some space.

This comes with a realization for Marinette, that Chloe actually cares about Adrien and her crush for him wasn’t something superficial. She may be a brat and a jerk, but she can care about people. This is the start of Chloe redemption arc. (Plus, during Style Queen, Marinette actually gives the Bee miraculous to Chloe, knowing that she want to go and save Adrien. She also get the miraculous back once the battle ends, so Queen Bee identity is safe.)

Enter Kagami and Luka, and the Lukagaminette. And this instead to rip Marinette and Adrien apart, it make them to get closer, because Kagami and Luka actually like Adrien (First as a friend, then as something else) and Adrien enjoy spend time with them because they are not trying to push him to be with Lila.

Adrien and Lila’s relationship is complicated. Everyone think they are dating but Adrien (plus Chloe and lukagaminette). They constantly fight, with Lila making herself the victim with a broken heart and basically telling Adrien that he is broken, just because he doesn’t love her back.

Comes the Hero’s day, Lila still helping Hack Moth.

After the battle, something happend that make Alya and Nino finally see the redflags in liladrien relationship, starting with the fourth plot, djwifi realizing that Lila isn’t as innocent as they think she is.

That basically season 2. I’m not sure how season 3 would go because I haven’t watched it (I just watched the chapters that called my attention) my ideas so far for that season are: Continue with Chloe redemption, Lila confusing djwifi (they are reluctant to believe that she is a bad person, but her relationship with Adrien is clearly unhealthy and as deep they search it’s more clear why Marinette doesn’t trust her), make an actual Miracle team, and Adrien realizing that Lila isn’t entitled to him and him falling for the trio Lukagaminette (and they falling for him, again in Marinette’s case).

And yes, I want to write a fanfic about this idea looking at the others projects and fanfics I want to do, and yes, I have no self control.

Thank you my dear! You are my Star Wars Friend so I’ll keep it SW focused (if you wanted to ask this to solely find out what else I liked BESIDES SW sorry lol just let me know and I can redo it). This got long because turns out I have a lot to say about my ships so answers under the cut!!! xD

Absolute favorite ship: This one’s kinda hard but I’m gonna have to go with Obi Wan/Anakin! I also like them a lot as a trio with Padmé, but overall I gotta say these two are just my faves? Why? Because they are such a M E S S and gosh I just love them so much. Ppl say they don’t like each other very much but come on, have you watched the TCW, have you watched RotS, they’re the greatest team there ever was, they’re constantly fretting and worrying about each other, they’re always teasing (the constant banter omg boys pls) at each other and hyping the other up and believing in each other and Ahsoka literally calls them her adoptive guardians in the Ahsoka novel, that’s how much of a family they were and ugh they’re just so married. And they’re such a TRAGEDY and it breaks my heart and it’s delicious to watch because in the final fight it’s just heartbreaking betrayal because through it all they love each other so much and that’s WHY they’re so furious with each other because to them it feels like the ultimate betrayal. Even after (when after everything, Obi Wan still loved Anakin too much to kill him himself) they’re constantly on the other’s mind, and ugh the pain hurts but in such a good way, and how in the end Anakin did the right thing and Obi Wan was RIGHT THERE to help guide him back to the light in spirit and now they can rest happily together for eternity (with some spare stressing about, ya know, Kylo Ren and the impending return of Sidious, but never mind all that). and on top of that, it’s my fave because I also absolutely love their relationship platonically as well, as much as I LIKE to see them together, it’s not necessary for me because they have such an enjoyable dynamic. *coughs* Sorry, so yea, they’re my disaster faves! 😅

A ship I like that most people don’t: See above lol. I get aspects of the Obikin ship can be problematic in the whole power dynamic and age difference thing, but I’ve only ever shipped it after Anakin was knighted as an adult when there’s literally not a problem with it (it was weird for me because I watched the prequels totally out of order. I actually saw the TCW cartoon FIRST and then I saw RotS and then I didn’t watch the first two for a while after that because I was a fool and listened to prequel bashers who said the first two weren’t good, so when I started shipping them as adults that was all I saw them as). To be honest, for the most part the PT fandom is done with the drama since ya know, like a good half of the SW general fandom still hates us, so no one’s really vocal about not liking it and our shipping community is mostly left to ourselves, but every once in a while I’ll come across a joke post/fanart of the two and OP will be all snarky in the notes like “tag as a ship and I’ll come after you with my spiked bat” (someone’s exact words btw) and it’s like ok jeez, do not interact then, was minding my own business dude...

My most underrated ship: Hmmmm....... Gonna have to go between Luke/Ezra and Satine/Padmé. Skybridger I understand since they’ve literally never met in canon, but come ON, they’d get along like a house on fire and argh they should have met, it would be great. I honestly don’t get why Pads and Satine aren’t more of a thing (THEY DON’T EVEN HAVE AN OFFICIAL SHIPNAME ;_; ) cuz c’mon they’re the subtler explosive yin to Obi and Ani’s wildfire yang. They get along great and work together really well, and they both seem to have a type. I am doing them a little better in my new OT4 fic, and I hope ppl like it!!! Ya know what, I’m also gonna add Kaeden (cute girl from the Ahsoka novel!) and Ahsoka because even if a lot of ppl actually ship them, they hardly have any content and neED MORE DANGIT THEY WERE SO CUTE!!!!!!!

Gonna go with Obikin for all the following ones cuz I haven’t had the chance to gush about my boys in a while and you’ve opened Pandora’s box

Rate them from 1-10: 10, plus a hundred more points because I love them, then subtract that hundred again cuz Anakin is an gotdang idiot who ruined it and now they both make me cry. My scoring reasons are that they make me feel all the emotions and I love them Ever So Much and argh.

Fave headcanon: Oh boy, I’ve got a couple actually!

Whenever they’re talking/arguing over the phone, they’re always subconsciously mirroring each other’s actions even when they can’t see what the other is doing. It’s kinda creepy because you’ll hear yelling and it’ll look like one of them’s talking to an invisible person in front of them when it’s actually each other.

There has been multiple instances of them both getting injured in battle because they were distracted watching the other be a total badass (not that either will admit it)

Neither of them are morning people. AT ALL. Obi Wan actually has self-discipline and is able to get up with an alarm and crankily drag them both up, but both are almost impossible to deal with until they’ve had caffeine in them, and it’s been established that unless you want to risk murder, neither of them talks in the morning until caffeine has been provided.

There has been many, many cases of accidentally taking the other’s robe and not realizing it but thinking to themselves that said robe feels more comforting than usual today.

A mutually drunken arm wrestling match absolutely turned into a mutually drunken makeout once. Neither can remember it, and they wonder why some of the clones have been acting funny all week.

Half of the Temple thinks they’re already dating.

Fave Canon Moment: Ughhh, this is HARD. I really like the “any closer and you’d be kissing it” line in TCW, basically any moment in TCW when one of them refers to Ahsoka as “OUR padawan”, the extra long stares and unnecessary touches they give each other in TCW, the elevator scene in RotS movie (THE NOVEL MAKES IT A MILLION TIMES BETTER), also in RotS the way Anakin is half-ready to straight up fight Palpatine when he suggests leaving Obi Wan behind to die, the RotS “No loose wire jokes” bit, the RotS “Roger. Fave AU ideas: Again, there’s a couple!

Superpower AU: Can’t decide whether I’d put this in canon or modern. Most powers in this AU are stolen from inspired by X-Men, DC, and other popular media, so I’m torn between Anakin having Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix style powers while Obi Wan had a variation on Rogue’s with additional energy manipulation. OR it would be a thing where Anakin could commune with the dead a la Klaus from Umbrella Academy while Obes had sort of Avatar-style wind/flight powers. (Both are relevant for different plots).

Sith AU: I know these are far from unpopular in the SW fandom, but the way I’d do it would be to try and write two stories at once, update one every other week so one update a week total. The stories would what would happen if either of them became the Sith Apprentice after the events of Episode 1, and how their dynamic would be during Ep 2 and The Clone Wars with one of them on the other side. It’s funny because the way I’ve plotted it, the Sith!Ani fic would have very big Good Omens vibes, while the Sith!Obi one would have very strong Under the Red Hood vibes, so two VERY different dynamics going on xD

WWII Spies: This is one I 100% plan to write someday, even tho it is a very long time from now. It’s basically following Anakin as an American naval pilot who got injured in a crash and discharged. He still wants to serve and eventually his talent gets him into the intelligence end of the war and sent to Europe where he meets Ben, who’s been working with British intelligence since it broke out, and sparks fly. I’m kind of cheating here cuz as of now this is an Obianidala story, not just Obikin, but it’s one I’m very excited for

Phantom of the Opera AU: This idea I had when I realized that Anakin as Vader is kinda a Lot like the Phantom, but he’s also a Lot like Christine too. So it turned into Anakin as a talented ballet dancer getting preyed on by Palpatine!Phantom (there is NO romance there, Palpy is a total creep and will be treated as such) with Obi Wan as a combination of Raoul and Madame Gery and I have a bunch of ideas and idk if it’s gonna be an actual thing, but I want it to.

Shapeshifter AU: Canon, not very complicated but they can all shift into animals. Obi Wan is a kind of cougar panther cat with a fluffy ginger tail, and Anakin is a big grumpy black Krayt Dragon with a stump for a front leg.

Not A Jedi!AU: One in canon in which set like the Sith!AU, two different stories exploring how their dynamic would be if one of them wasn’t found by the Order. As of now, I’ve got Anakin as the warrior pirate prince of Tatooine, after having grown up and staged a slave rebellion, then promptly put his mother on the throne, and Obi Wan’s there to negotiate something during TCW and things happen. For the Obi Wan one, he’s a political journalist and war correspondent who keeps on running into Anakin’s assignments and popping up where he’s stationed and Anakin has to keep this idiot from getting himself killed/stop asking me annoying questions that criticize the Jedi and the government.

Dark!AU: A kind of morbid canon divergent fic where Padmé dies early and unexpectedly (Palps didn’t plan it). Anakin goes off the rails and Obi Wan agrees to go with him on a murder vengeance roadtrip to try and keep him from Falling or the Sith from getting to him. He kinda fails and they both Fall in a way and it ends with them hunting down Sidious’ players one by one. I’m not entirely sure I want to continue with this tho because it plays strongly on the Fridged Woman trope, which I can’t stand. I’d have to figure out how to give Padmé some sort of active role after her death...

Quarantine [Whumptober 2019 - Day 7: Isolation]

Summary: Kaito refuses to keep at bay when sick, his partners engage in an epic battle to make him do so.

Fandom: Danganronpa V3 (Non-Despair AU, aged-up characters) Ship: Established Kaede/Maki/Kaito/Shuichi

Notes: MORE OT4 SHENANIGANS! A comedic take on a prompt I wasn't feeling like using the angst potential of. I'm deadass two days late, and I wish I had finished this piece sooner, but my Latin homework kind of came back for my soul... I really wanted to write Kaito being a goof. I've also vastly forgotten the meaning of whump at this point, but like, man, words are just letter combinations and I can warp them to my fucking desire It was pretty funny to write, even if I'm really disappointed with myself for not having finished it yesteday evening instead of this afternoon, for such a short drabble too.

“C’mon, Maki Roll, lemme out!”

“No is no. You’re not getting out of here today.”

Maki was standing with all of her weight against the door to the secondary bedroom of the house, crossing her arms. The show was a sight to behold, Shuichi figured when he walked up to it with two fresh cups of coffee in his hands, planning to reread his literature classes drinking said coffee; but he supposed papers on the historical novel genre could wait and, instead, stopped in his tracks, amused.

“So that’s why you were already up when I woke up”, he told Maki as he handed her one of the cups. “Kaede asked me to bring one to you and I didn’t quite know why.” He glanced at the door, a smirk on his face. “I should’ve known immediately, though.”

“This idiot won’t listen,” she replied before taking the cup. “Thanks.”

“You’re welcome. Mind if I just greet him?”

“You do you,” she said as she sidestepped from the door, sipping on her coffee.

As soon as Maki had left the way free, the bedhead face of their partner showed up right in front of Shuichi’s face, surprising him almost enough to make him jump and pour coffee on the both of them.

“Ah, Shuichi, here you are!” Kaito displayed more than relief as soon as he saw the latter. “You’ll make me escape from Maki Roll’s clutch, right?”

“Eh… No.”

“No?! Why?!” Kaito heavily coughed in his fist, voice hoarse, as soon as he tried to yell. “C’mon, I feel all better now!”

“With that voice of yours?” She chimed in, side-eyeing him. “I don’t think so.”

“Maki’s right, you should still be resting. Plus I’m here today, I’ll be able to keep you company if you want.”

“C’mon, that’s not fun guys…!”

“If you want to get better soon, then rest and don’t generally be an idiot,” Maki kept her ground, stare intensifying.

Kaito pouted to the both of them, but it didn’t quite work in his favour. He had always been too transparent not to be seen through like this. Both Maki and Shuichi stood there, crossing their arms, stuck trying to figure out a way to stop their partner from infecting the entire household with his pesky germs. They had been good until then, much to Shuichi’s surprise considering how easy it had always been for him to catch all kinds of inconvenient illnesses; and they all wished it to remain like that.

“Sorry, Kaito, but I think that’s for the best too!”

Kaede’s voice suddenly came to them, prompting the three others to turn their head towards her, only Maki’s deadpanning face hinting that she had heard her partner come when neither of the boys had. The blonde had a smile on hers, slowly making their way towards them, but preferring to remain by Shuichi’s side and far, far away from the epicentre of a potential epidemic.

“That’s three against one, so I’m afraid democracy is winning here, Kaito,” Shuichi commented right afterwards, embraced his nearby partner as she left a kiss on his cheek.

“You’ve heard them,” Maki continued, coming up to the main point of focus and turning him back to his room.

“B-but…”

“It’s all in good spirit,” Kaede finished, her smile not about to leave. “You wouldn’t want to make them sick, would you?”

Kaito’s little glance at the hand she had put on her stomach, along with the little smirk they could all see on his face, meant victory on their side.

“Fine, you win,” he eventually said, shrugging his shoulder before coughing again. “I guess isolation isn’t too bad if it’s for good reasons.”

“You won’t be isolated if one of us keeps an eye on you, you fool,” Maki responded, pushing him into the room. “Let’s get you far away from society before we get ourselves more people to keep an eye on.”

He gave them a last thumbs-up before the brunette closed the door behind the two of them, leaving Kaede and Shuichi to giggle among themselves.

“I’ll have to do a videocall with him so he doesn’t feel too lonely,” she said, not even trying to hide her amusement.

“That’s a good option, if you ask me.”

“I always have good ideas, I don’t know how you can dare suggesting it’s not always the case.”

Shuichi found himself laughing.

“That’s such a Kaito thing to say.”

“Someone has to substitute for him while he’s away.”

“Fair enough.”

She kissed him again.

“Let’s hope he can leave his quarantine as soon as possible.”

“Agreed.”

me: and rose choosing madame de pompadour and doctor so they could have been an polyamorous couple where pompadour and tyler and doctor would fight alien battles in that era in that era clothing and would have gotten pompadour to live longer than she should have thanks to rose and that the end of half a season in that era of france, mickey and the tardis comes with a whole new look and that, while they were mickey could have been a space pirate with the TARDIS acting as a guide to get to the doctor and rose the long way round as a spin off series for mickey so he could have been more developed on screen and show that he didn’t need the doctor or rose before when he thinks quick on his feet. and then we could have the age of steel two parter and that separation would have been even more heartbreaking because they don’t know they just don’t know that he’s no tin dog - he’s his own TARDIS, his own Mr. Smith (SJA), his own doctorxrose because he’s more than what they wish they could have been had it not been outside inference - he’s better than that, and we were robbed of that kind of individual character growth pre-martha/pre-age of steel etc while also being robbed of rose and doctor and pompadour poly dynamic where pompadour realizes that who she thought was ‘a child’ was no child at all, someone who actually shows and understands that being stuck on earth and doing what’s expected of you is total malarkey and doctor is just like ‘these are my wives and they own all of me oh and the duke of france is our plus one!’. and we could have had younger-ish(?)!river (who is after all just passing thru according to big finish audios) and it would have became an OT4 because wow these 3 women are brilliance incarnate and it would have gotten them to really drop small bit of river timeline with them [mainly as a guest appearance let’s be real, river got things to do despite how much she would’ve wanted to stay] with a tiny side plot of the doctor at night trying to get rose and him (mainly rose) to the tardis because he made jackie a promise and he meant his word gdi and history shouldn’t be altered like this but, the lure of rose and pompadour is too strong before being thrust into danger again for the umpteenth time and its only when mickey comes back, ripping a hole in brick wall with arthur the horse neighing in the background of the ship. and they leave her with both promising to come back for her only, when they do does history corrects itself as if they were never there as if they didn’t go though those adventures, those warm nights, hazy mornings, laughter of the woman they loved - loved so deeply - and it was doctor like usual being given the news and him reading those letters and rose asks the way she asks ‘is she alright’ while mickey look on like he did (does) and the doctor telling her its fine because the one thing he doesn’t want is rose emoting how he feels - her cry of anguish and wanting to go back because ‘why can’t we just save her??? just her’ and having to hold her back from the controls with mickey’s help and it all just turns into a solemn hug with the muffled cries of rose into his chest echoing along the normal engines of the ship and mickey could tell - we could tell - that he’s the only thing to keep them all - mainly them two - from crumbling to the TARDIS’ grated metal floor and then it fades out into credits leading into the age of steel 2 parter

How I feel about this character

Although I feel that his character development shown in the games makes him progress in the professional aspect and leave behind emotions and relationships, he’s still one of my fave companions in kotor. He sees what he wants and doesn’t toy around to get him but his past still manages to bring him down and that’s something I like in people who didn’t expect to become authorities and chase their dreams.

Visas since they hit each other in the feelings since their first mission together, a hate filled respect for Malak, Mission, his followers in Dxun since he so aggresively defends them when Kreia is needling him, HK for funny threatening banter.

He deserved a romance on 1 plus a better personal mission on both games.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

the revan novel leaving him tf alone

His adventures during the Mandalorian Wars and growing up while surrounded with Mandalorian culture being explored more in kotor 2 but with a tonal change from 1 since he has changed his perspective: from jaded mercenary who doesn’t know where he’s going to Mandalore who has a clear perspective of what he should do but still doesn’t know how to reach his goals.

She’s an amazing, fun friend for the jedi knight and the only apprentice that doesn’t feel squicky to romance or even be sarcastic towards because she can establish limits and give sass right back.

She should have been involved in the alliance from the start and maybe use the spotlight Lana overuses.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

She keeps contact with the children of the emperor and manages to convince some to give up on sith ideology. The others she has a tense but polite relationship and they share their discoveries so they can be sure they are completely free from the emperor.

Oh, wow! Guys…it was like y’all read my mind! I’ve been wanting to make an AoS rec list for a bit now, but I just never had the self-motivation to put myself into gear and do it!

Well, I have now…and I really enjoyed putting this list together! I actually hunted across the internet for some of these fanfic recs, because while my tastes were different back in the day, I still love a good fanfic…and I think that still counts for something.

Plus, I wasn’t really into saving stories that I really liked back in the day. So fair warning, I haven’t read some of these stories in a really long time and my mini reviews might be a bit off, but I still believe that a good fanfic will stick with ya through the ages.

I hope you found these fanfics to be just as good as I do and I hope you’ll enjoy reading them too:)

Why you should read it?:

This story is very personal to me! Because, not only was it the first fanfic for the AoS fandom that I’d ever read..but it also introduced me to the world of ot3′s and the possibility that a poly relationship could actually work not only in fiction but in the real world too. That’s how real this relationship was for me…that’s how beautifully written it was… how completely true to how I’d believe that Fitz, Daisy (or Skye at the time of the story), and Jemma might have started their relationship back in the day, if you know, mainstream network had had the balls to explore that route.

I adore this fic! It still holds a special place for me. I do wish that the author had kept the FF.net version of the story up. There were a few things I loved that had existed in that version that are deleted out in the only existing one…but that’s just a minor pet peeve of mine. I would still recommend this story if you love fluffy and sexy ot3 action with some minor angst, because Daisy always has to make things complicated for herself!

Skye’s words appeared when she was 17. Trip’s words appeared when he decided to join S.H.I.E.L.D. Hunters heart is broken when finds his Soulmate. Bobbi doesn’t believe in Soulmates… That’s what she tells herself.

Pairing: Bobbi Morse/ Daisy Johnson/ Lance Hunter (aka I don’t know their ship name), and some past Daisy/Triplet

Why you should read?:.

I don’t really remember much about this series, other than it’s a Canon-divergent post-2 and Soulmate AU.

I do however remember it being really freaking good! I loved how the characters were not completely OCC like some AU ‘verse’s can make their main characters be. I believed that all these could have really happened if some of Canon’s events had happened differently…and there was such a things as Soulmate universes.

There are some minor changes made to AoS’s canon, but that’s to be expected. However, I really liked how the writer still made me believe in Bobbi, Lance, and Daisy’s chemistry really well. And it had some really freaking hot sex scenes too, if I remember correctly.

In which Skye adopts an orphaned dog, much to the varying delight and chagrin of her teammates.

Pairing: Gen/ No expressed Ships I believe

Why you should read?:

It’s just a really cute story about the team’s varying reactions to Skye sneaking a little puppy on board the bus. It’s just pure s1 team fluff, and it actually has weary but protective Ward that I think is adorable…before you know, Ward became the evil asshole that he is.

If you just want team fluff with very little angst, than this is the story for you!

Trip, Jemma, and Daisy try to be understanding, but would like it very much if Fitz would stopped turning their possessions into weapons.

It’s very sweet little ficlet, but does have some Fitz angst. So beware of that.

love letters to a ghost by arsonistlullabye

Skye is haunted the ghost of a boy who wasn’t strong enough. Fitz is haunted by a girl who makes him want to be stronger.

Pairing: Fitzdaisy/ Fitzskye

Why you should read?:

This story is set in an alternate AoS ‘verse, where Fitz couldn’t handle the pressure and loneliness of being one of the youngest to attend S.H.I.E.L.D. academy…and trigger warning, kills himself and begins to haunt the Academy as a ghost.

Years later, Skye attends and seeing her go down the same path as him, does everything he can to help her become her best self..while also slowly falling in love with her. I don’t want to spoiler anymore, but it’s a really good…but i’ll be honest and say that depending on how you view it, it might not have the happiest ending, but I believe it fit perfectly with the story.

Take me away to some place real by Florchis

After the Framework, Fitz decides to go see his mother for a few days and takes Jemma and a reluctant Daisy with him. Things are not easy, but helped by three late-night conversations, Daisy learns that they can choose to not make them hard.

Pairing: FSK/ Fitzskimmons

Why you should read?:

I feel like I’m cheating a bit by rec-ing this fic, since it’s a prompt of mine gifted to me through a @aosficnet2 exchange a few years back, but where Florchis decided to take the idea far exceeded my expectations. This story…left me speechless.It made me cry. It was…just so beautiful and hopeful… yet bittersweet.

Nothing’s sugar coated…or wrapped up neatly in a little box in this story. They’re all broken by what they experienced in the Framework. Daisy’s left with old and new insecurities to wade through, Fitz can’t always tell the difference between Reality and the Framework, and Jemma’s just trying to hold everybody and herself together…and a trip to see Fitz’s amazing Mom doesn’t automatically fix everything.

But it makes their traumas more manageable…It makes them want to try to be better, not only in their relationship but as people as well. Oh, man! You have to read this story…especially if you were left broken yourself by season 4. Seriously, go read this!

Why you should read?:

Alright! Hear me out! I, myself , as in me now, in no way ships Coulson and Daisy in a romantic relationship, but when I first started out reading AoS fanfics, I was experimenting…trying to figure out my tastes and what I shipped and liked romantically.

And I can admit that I’ve read other Skoulson fics in my time, but this fanfic is the only one that I’ll willing recommended…because the romantic aspect of Skoulson’s relationship was left ambiguous, at least to me. It was more of a character study of how Skye has always views and copes with her birthdays through the years and the one time, she actually liked being born…and even though, I hate it, her relationship with Coulson has a lot to do with her acceptance of it.

But I wouldn’t blame anybody for skipping over this one, I haven’t read it since I read it the first time just because I would have to stomach the romantic Skoulson in it…but I feel like it’s still worth recommending. It’s a pretty good Skye/Daisy character piece.

Along the Way by theclaravoyant

When Shield’s two youngest prodigies shake hands for the very first time, their expressions are exactly as you might expect for two people who know they’ve just met their soul mates. But for this particular pair there’s something else as well.

Confusion.

Sometimes finding your soulmate(s) is not as simple as it seems. Then again, sometimes what we spend most of our time looking for, has been right under our noses all along.

Pairing: FSK/ Fitzskimmons

Why you should read?:

A FSK Soulmate AU that went a long way to redefining my outlook on the trope. Fitz and Simmons’ quest to discover who their other soulmate is and what the weird soul mark they have means is really well done and completely in character with how Fitzsimmons are as individuals and as a unit…

It’s just a very well written AU that’s I’d recommended anytime of the day. You should read it.

Why you should read?:

If you haven’t noticed by now, there is a pretty consistent theme to my fanfic recs…and that’s the hurt/comfort or heavy angst trope and this one fits that bill to a tee.

Set in a post season 1 Canon-Divergence world I believe, where I think Ward really injures May and Jemma take it upon herself to become the team’s glue…and how it slowly chips away at her emotional sanity. It’s really well written and I think you guys will like it…if you don’t mind the heavy angst too.

Why you should read?:

An alternate end to season 1, a role reversal with Jemma being the Hydra agent who betrayed the team, A flawed but ultimately goodhearted Ward, and a possibly triple agent Simmons…? What more could you ask for in a fascinating, alternate plot twist and development?

I know some can’t even read about Ward as a main character in any fashion, but I really loved this fic…how it was done…how Ward was portrayed. He wasn’t perfect…or really even likable…but he loved his team and would do anything for them, even haunting down the woman he loves to avenge Fitz and Skye.

I think that’s a really cool story;)

A kind of a sad Fitzskimmon fic, where Skye knows that her relationship with Fitzsimmons will come to an end someday…because well, according to Skye, it has to. In her life, happiness never lasts for long…but she’s going learn from and enjoy her time together with them for as long as it lasts.

It’s a bittersweet, but heartwarming fic that fits right in my alley. Go ahead and read it…but be prepared to have your heart broken.

The zeroh law of thermodynamics by Florchis

Fitz and Simmons are each other’s soulmates. Daisy isn’t. Fitz and Simmons don’t care. Daisy does. Sort of. Or: Jemma wants them to tell her their fantasies, Daisy wants a tattoo and Fitz wants to be a gentleman. (They all succeed.)

Why you should read?:

I couldn’t rec @theclaravoyant‘s Soulmate AU without recommending @florchis!

This story showed me that love comes in many forms and variations…and just because Daisy isn’t Fitzsimmons’ soulmate doesn’t stop them from pursuing a meaningful romantic triad with her. Of course, like any real relationship, there are trail and errors…misunderstanding and miscommunications…but they never let that keep them down because they love each other and will do anything to make their unconventional (in every sense of the word) relationship work.

It’s a really good Soulmate AU story. You should read it…along with @florchis‘s FSK stories here and here. I just love the different and interesting ways she makes the FSK ship play out and begin.

Apples and Dandelions by theclaravoyant

After Fitz’ father sends a number of threatening messages and an ultimatum to Shield, Fitz decides it’s time to confront his father. As it turns out, the apple can fall as far from the tree as it likes, especially when there’s someone there to catch it.

Why you should read?:

I know that I didn’t really rec manyGen or brotp stories on this list…and I’ll be fair with y’all, but I really do view the majority of my bromance’s in Television and Films as romantic relationships too..and most of the time, I’d rather read shipper fics than purely brotp ones.

But this fic was so good that I could not share it on my list…but I won’t bore you with the details. It’s a theclaravoyant fic and I think that they’re all amazing.

Yeah so...I figured I should make a list for haikyuu!! as long as I’ve made one for KNB. This one’s probably gonna be just as long.

Again, stars by the ones I consider must-reads, but otherwise these are in no particular order

*jaywalkers by Batman – (mainly KuroTsuki, also DaiSuga, BokuAka, etc, multichapter/series, completed) This college AU is...to date, probably the best use of fanfiction as a medium that I’ve ever seen. I’d recommend this fic to everyone who enjoys Haikyuu!!, everyone who enjoys college shenanigans, and really anyone who just enjoys a good story. Jaywalkers is a novel, jam-packed with humor and feelings and rich character arcs and little moments that feel so real and hit so hard that you’d swear you’ve experienced them yourself. The language is beautiful, and so is the story, it’s so worth reading through at least once. (I’ve probably re-read it close to four times now, and this author’s writing style has significantly impacted my own).

*the courtship ritual of the hercules beetle by kittebasu – (IwaOi, multichapter, completed) Stumbled across this fic on someone else’s rec list, and dove right in without realizing it was over 60k words...but it was so worth it. Oikawa is an entomologist, Iwaizumi is an Olympic volleyball player and is avoiding him. There is humor, there is angst, there are postmodernist time period switches, this fic is a ride and I love it.

*I like the way your clothes smell by Mysecretfanmoments – (KageHina, multichapter, completed) I would be hard-pressed to find a Haikyuu!! shipper that hasn’t read this fic by now, but on the off chance you haven’t, what are you waiting for? It’s KageHina awkwardly trying to figure out how to be together for 20 chapters and it’s great.

*romance ‘n’ all that jazz by rarepairenabler – (GoshiHina, oneshot) Musician AU! Goshiki and Hinata both want to play their respective instruments on the same street corner…rivalry and hijinks and eventual feelings ensue. This fic kinda gives off a Kids on the Slope vibe and the language is at turns gorgeous and hilarious, I definitely recommend giving this a read.

*Last Year’s Wishes Are This Year’s Apologies by Zee – (UshiOi, oneshot) A really good UshiOi fic in which Oikawa is rude, and then drunk, and then even more rude…also I remember a blowjob scene in there somewhere that had a significant impact on my smut-writing style…if that tells you anything.

*The Dream That Wakes You Up by rarepairenabler – (OiKuroo, multichapter, completed) One of the best fake dating AUs I’ve ever read, in which Oikawa is a sex god and Kuroo inevitably catches feelings for him but then there’s the whole fake dating rules thing of course.

Daredevil on the Slope by Smokey310 – (BokuAkaKuroTsuki, multichapter, completed) Roadtrip fic with the OT4! I love Smokey’s writing tbh it’s just the right amount of ridiculous and sincere and it gets me every time.

Only The Jellyfish Know by Anonymous – (IwaOi, oneshot) It’s the Seijou third years being hilarious dorks and also best friends on the last day of their last year in school together.

moonfall by Batman - (KuroTsuki, oneshot) Again, Batman’s writing shines in a league all it’s own, in this modern magic/witch AU about the five things of Kuroo’s that show up at Tsukishima’s house, and the one thing that never left.

#SnapShots by freakofnature – (KageHina, KuroKen, etc, multichapter, in progress) It’s the pastel punk au that handles gender nonconformity with surprising…realism? I dunno, I kinda want to say comfort, like the author seems really comfortable with writing trans folks and as a trans folk myself I say kudos, ‘cause I seriously struggle with that shit.

the perfect stranger by downmoon – (DaiSuga, multichapter, completed) Now if you know me, you know I’m a sucker for single dad AU. This one’s got single dad Daichi and it is...perfect. Also Kageyama and Hinata are little kids! I love this fic it just makes me smile every time I read it please go read it so you can smile too.

right in the head by Mysecretfanmoments – (BokuAka, multichapter, completed) It’s a zombie apocalypse AU! With all the drama and bloodshed you’d expect from that, but also a couple surprising twists and turns that set it apart from the rest. A bit of a long read, but a good one.

Apple Curry by inkleafclover - (TeruDai, oneshot) A really adorable single dad!AU with Daichi and Terushima, cooking things, and Kageyama as Daichi’s son which is just...precious. This one is short but so cute.

To Build a Home by rarepairenabler …Actually fuck it anything by rarepairenabler it’s all gold. this one, though…is a oneshot, with OiBoKuroo (idk what their ship name is) as neighbors and BoKuroo are already together and Oikawa is crushing hard and it plays out pretty much how you’d expect. Amber’s writing is phenomenal though, I’d give all their fics a go at least once.

Nishinoya The Brave by azumanishi – (implied AsaNoya, oneshot) This one is super short but the payoff is fantastic. It’s literally a joke, but the punchline is so damn good and well-timed it gets me every time. Always worth a read.

Disney’s “Tsukishima The Reverse Mermaid” by Smokey310 – (BoKuroTsuki, multichapter, completed) Department store/stuck in an elevator AU. I had to dig to try and find this one again but I really love it, as always with Smokey’s writing it’s equal turns of humor and emotions and that just makes for a good read.

Cloudy With a Chance of UFOs by masi – (UshiOi, oneshot) Here it is, the fic that made me ship UshiOi. Oikawa’s a space enthusiast, Ushijima’s a farmer I think? They meet when Ushijima discovers a crop circle in his wheat field.

World Will Follow After by Authoress – (DaiSuga, oneshot) Biker Daichi and ice cream shop employee Sugawara. What could go wrong?

now, keiji by livecement – (BokuAka, oneshot) Bokuto helps Akaashi when he needs to relax...it’s definitely effective *winkwonk* This one features stubborn Akaashi and dominating Bokuto and we all need that, right?

What Are We Drinking Anyway by Smokey310 – (TsukiKage, oneshot, plus some unrequited OiKage) I wouldn’t usually ship this but this fic like…understands that these two don’t really work together and the only reason they do here is because they’re drunk. It’s really well-written and witty and I enjoy it. Also Kageyama calls Tsukishima a hippopotamus at one point.

love and victory by bigspoonnoya – (KageHina, oneshot…but also part of a series) In this one Karasuno loses to Shiratorizawa (eventually), but still, some things never change.

favorite color? by rarepairenabler – (BokuAka, oneshot) just a really adorable little fic about Akaashi’s preferred method of dealing with Bokuto’s spiraling.

Defectio Solis by Moami – (KageHina, oneshot) Hinata’s stopped talking to Kageyama, and he slowly self-destructs as he tries to figure out why.

Yaku and the Beanstalk by Mysecretfanmoments – (LevYaku, oneshot) Lev gets his arm stuck in a vending machine…because of course he does…and Yaku has to deal with him.

Timeless (We Have 30 Days) by glass_owl – (IwaOi, oneshot) And finally, this angst monster. Basically it’s a universe where a number appears on you a certain amount of time before you’re supposed to die. Iwaizumi finds out Oikawa’s been numbered. Enough said.

steve steve was absolutely walking on air. the weather was amazing and he was enjoying it with the woman he loved. of course, it wasn't a totally perfect afternoon due to his endearing clumsiness. after his second time dropping the venue folder, they decided it was better if peggy carried it instead. other than that, it couldn't have been better. "i really like the meadow, if i'm being totally honest," he glanced at peggy as they walked under a cluster of trees in magnolia park. "but the park is fine too, of course."

peggy she didn't think it was possible for her to love him anymore. the bold and the brave captain america was stumbling over his own feet and dropping the folder each time he held onto it, papers flying everywhere, which required a ton of chasing. she hadn't laughed more in her whole life, and she was sure she had never been more infatuated with someone in her life. "i know, i do too. i just wanted to look around here to see if it was a backup choice," she explained, craning her neck to glance around.

steve: okie dokie

steve "you know, the first wedding i went to was out here." steve spoke, pointing at the patch of grass by the fountain. it wasn't exactly an enjoyable experience; they hardly knew the grooms and there was quite a bit of drama at the end of the night. he decided to leave out the fact that he brought a date to it. "you would have hated it. it ended in absolute chaos." he laughed quietly, knowing his future bride wasn't one to put up with people's shit.

peggy "oh, dear. maybe we shouldn't have it here, then. i don't want people to be reminded of bad memories when they come here," she said, biting her lip in concern. then she glanced up at him with a teasing smirk. "you know that if anyone tries to start /anything/ at our wedding that i'll deal with them myself." they couldn't exactly hire security; plus, they didn't need any. the groom was captain america, after all. "i don't think you'll let that happen, though," she winked.

"i know you will." he grinned with a raised brow, tightening his grip on her hand lightly. him and peggy had already waited way too long for someone to ruin it. "hopefully everyone just keeps their issues to themselves."

peggy "they better," peggy agreed with a firm nod, placing a hand on his cheek then slowly smiling again. "but i don't care if /everything/ goes wrong. as long as i get to be your wife at the end of the day. that's all i want. that's all i've ever wanted." she leaned up to kiss him softly, wrapping her arms around his neck.

rey getting some fresh air was nice, as her dispute with derek was still ongoing, and she felt like she had the opportunity to really clear her mind of everything. until she stumbled across a couple. as soon as she saw the red and blue clothes (did they plan that or did they always just coincidentally dress that way?), she knew exactly who it was. she clenched her jaw but let out a sigh and tried to walk past without her face being seen, tilting it away as much as possible.

steve: does steve stop her orrrrrrrrrrrrr

peggy: probs

peggy: i didnt know how else to bring her in lmao

steve "trust me, you'll be my wife no matter what. even if it means i have to become a minister and do it myself." he chuckled against her lips, gladly welcoming the kiss. naturally, he got too carried away, wrapping his arms around her waist and stumbling back slightly. he didn't even think about anyone else in the park until he felt his back brush against another person. "oh, geez. i'm sorry about that," the avenger apologized to this person behind him, before he quickly realized who it was. "rey?"

steve: i just did that instead whooops

peggy: nice

peggy peggy pulled away as soon as steve did, glancing at the person he had, literally, bumped into. uh oh. hopefully he wouldn't be recognized. she smiled apologetically and began to say sorry when steve said the girl's name. peggy's smile faded as she stared up at him, then chuckled softly. "is-is this a friend of yours?" she asked quietly, nervous about the expression on his face.

rey oh, great. clumsy steve, back at it again. she rolled her eyes and turned to him, crossing her arms tightly over her chest. she was sure she looked horrific, given she'd been bedridden for five days, but finally seeing peggy in person for the first time shocked her most of all. she really did look like her. at peggy's question, she just glared up at steve again before firmly replying, "nope."

steve: damn steve, back at it again

peggy: i kept saying that in my head while writing jrc

peggy: jfc

steve "uh..." he stammered, glancing between rey and peggy. oh god, they looked so much alike he was getting confused. he genuinely did not know what to say. rey and him had a large falling out, sure, but they were so close. they were still friends in his eyes, best friends even. his eyes narrowed at her once she spoke. "no. she's tony's friend."

steve: yiggity yikes

peggy peggy's shoulders straightened at steve's words, and she stood protectively at his side, hand on his arm. "tony stark is no friend to us. it is obvious that steve doesn't want you around, so i recommend that you keep walking before i have to take action."

steve: FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

rey rey couldn't tear her eyes away from steve. her expression was a mixture of heartbreak, anger, jealousy, and distress. she missed him, but seeing him with peggy angered her beyond belief. she clenched her fists at her sides as peggy spoke to her, then raised her eyebrows. "believe me, i think that's the best idea, seeing the last time i spoke to your fiancé, he threw a coffee table across the room."

peggy peggy's head snapped up to glare at steve slightly. "so /that's/ what happened? you threw a coffee table because you were angry?" she asked in disbelief. but the expression on his face was not allowing for any chastisement at that moment, so she turned back to rey, watching her carefully. obviously she had done something to make steve, sweet, kind-hearted steve, angry and she didn't like it one bit.

steve "yes. but you should let rey tell you what she said to make me so angry." he spoke through gritted teeth. he could almost hear rey's angry outburst about peggy and bucky leaving him. his hand flew up to his nose, pinching the bridge of it as she continued to spill like an immature child. "i brought natasha romanoff, my colleague. interesting that you bring up the wedding, rey. recall your little beer incident?" two could play that game.

rey rey's eyes widened slightly as her expression darkened. now /he/ was digging. this was bad, and was surely not going to end well. she wished she had derek here to back her up. if he even would at this point. "well YOU'RE the one who had feelings for me while you said you were in love with /her/!" she exclaimed, motioning carelessly to peggy.

steve "why don't you tell her." steve looked down at his friend demeaningly, unable to bring himself to repeat her words. "at least i don't have to beg the love of my life to get marry me. i know who i love, rey, and you're sure as hell not one of those people when you act like this." the captain spat, grabbing his fiance's hand. "let's go, peg."

peggy: shIT

steve: shawty got low low low low low low

peggy "is that true?" peggy tried to ask steve after rey explained how he had feelings for her. if so... that was shocking. extremely. but at steve's words, she froze. ouch. that was a harsh one. but it was necessary. so peggy swallowed thickly and held on tightly to steve's hand before turning and beginning to walk away with him.

rey no... he couldn't have just said that. had he? he /had/. he didn't love her. once upon a time they were inseparable, spending every day together. first he had used derek against her, and then he outright said he didn't love her. not even as a friend. her hands clasped over her mouth in shock as her eyes fell shut, not even acknowledging them anymore. silently, she began to sob as she slowly crumpled to her knees on the ground, slightly ripping the comfortable pajama pants she had on, decorated with stars. she hated this. she wanted her best friend back.

steve "it was." he admitted swiftly, avoiding her glance. it was before he knew peggy was alive. it was a mistake, all of it was. she had a boyfriend anyway. right as he's ready to turn on his heel, rey falls to the ground in front of them. at first he thinks she's hurt, so he accesses her body quickly until he realizes she's just crying. oh no. was it really that harsh? his jaw clenched as her scene attracted attention from civilians in the park. "rey... just get up, okay?"

peggy "steve," peggy gasped as soon as she saw rey fall to the ground. they were friends at one point; and she knew steve wouldn't want to see his friends hurt. even though it was obvious she was just crying, she knew steve would still want to help. maybe. so she stayed back but watched carefully as he approached her again, hoping things wouldn't get worse from here.

rey rey simply ignored them both, covering her face with her hands and tucking her knees to her chest as she continued to cry. after all they had gone through together... that was what he now thought of her? simply because she was jealous? sure she had said some things that went over the edge, but he knew she hadn't meant them. but his words... he meant each and every one. and she didn't care that he was now seeing her break down right in front of his eyes. she couldn't hide her sorrow anymore. she cried even harder as she leaned forward slightly, threading her fingers into her hair.

steve steve pursed his lips, sending peggy one last apologetic glance before crouching down next to rey. he wish he could comfort her like he used to, but it felt too unfamiliar to him at the moment. "c'mon, rey. get up." he curled his hands around her forearms, making sure to be gently while he pulled her to stand. he meant the words in the heat of the moment, but now he was beginning to regret them. "i didn't mean it, alright?"

peggy peggy nodded her head swiftly as her eyes saddened. she knew he had to take care of this. he needed as many friends as he could get here in magnolia, seeing as they had enough enemies. and she didn't want one friendship to be ruined because of some simple jealousy. she kept some distance, but watched closely with a sympathetic expression as he tried to apologize.

rey "no... no..." rey cried as he, literally, tugged her up to her feet. it took a few moments for her to get a stable stance on the ground, but when she finally did, she began wiping at her eyes as her sobs became almost completely silent. "y-you did- you-..." she tried to say, but only wept harder, wiping at her eyes yet again and trying to move out of his grip. she was beyond humiliated and ashamed now and just wanted to go back inside where no one could see her.

"i didn't, i-i swear." he murmured softly, struggling to hold back the lump in his throat. he couldn't believe he let his anger get the best of him and cause this. the last time he saw rey this upset, it had something to do with snoke. she was right, he lost everyone he loved. he always did. he looked back at peggy with forlorn eyes, almost as if he was making sure she was still there.

peggy "it's okay," peggy mouthed to him when he turned to look at her, making a silent promise that she wasn't leaving anytime soon, unless he asked for privacy with rey. she understood that she wouldn't understand their friendship, and she didn't try to. it was for them, and none of her business. unless steve was being hurt.

peggy: nice

rey "you /did/, you did," rey sobbed, beating her fist weakly against his chest two times then just crying again. maybe if she wasn't so weak from the concussion, bruised ribs, and all the medication she was on, then she would've run away by now. or maybe she just didn't really want to run away. she wanted to stay, to bring back what they once had. "l-leave me alone," she pleaded anyway, attempting to tug her arms out of his grip, to no avail.

steve he let her hit him once again, her fists rekindling memories from their last fight. "stop, s-stop!" he curled his hands around hers, pushing them away from him. "stop this! stop trying to fight me, rey. i don't wanna fight anymore!" who would have thought, steve rogers, the kid who would fight anything or anyone, begging to avoid a quarrel.

peggy "steve," peggy gasped when he raised his voice, immediately stepping to his side and placing a hand on his shoulder. but she didn't stop him from speaking to her. he wanted this solved, and she didn't blame him. so she let it continue, and would only step in if things got really bad.

rey "then why would you /say/ that to me?" rey sobbed in distress, trying desperately to tug her hands out of his, though, obviously, that was impossible. he surely wasn't even using half his strength and she was using everything she had in her weak body. "y-you don't want to be my friend, you-you don't love me anymore..."

peggy "it's okay, steve. m-maybe we should take this somewhere more private, though," peggy whispered, noting how people were beginning to stare at the three of them. if steve was recognized... the location of the wedding would be the smallest issue.

rey "of COURSE i do! i-... i miss you..." rey admitted, her voice thinning out to hardly nothing as she said it, finally peeking her eyes up to look up into his own. then she sobbed again as she shook her head. "but-but not after you said that. n-no... y-you meant every word... e-every word..."

steve: jesus h christ

steve steve nodded, instantly cooling down when he heard her voice. peggy was his happy place. any place, any situation; if peggy was there, he could do anything. "no i didn't, rey." his brow furrowed and his face fell once again. "let's go home, okay? come with us."

peggy peggy held onto steve's arm gently, though he was still holding a fragile rey up. she wondered to herself why she looked so sickly, but kept her thoughts to herself as she led them both inside, and up to their apartment. "i'll get some waters," she offered and stole a kiss when rey wasn't looking before moving into the kitchen to do so.

rey rey didn't want to go to their house, to where the two of them spent their time together. but the stress was overwhelming and she needed to sit down, but she didn't want to go to her home just yet. she still wanted desperately to fix things with steve. she let him practically pull her up the stairs and past the door, feeling too weak to do so at that point.

steve "okay." steve whispered quietly against her lips. he lead rey's weak frame to the couch, passing over the spot where the coffee table used to be. "-uh, are you alright?" he questioned, refusing to let go of the grip on her arm.

peggy "you don't seem too well," peggy agreed, bringing over a glass of water for each of them and setting it on the little makeshift table they had in place of the coffee table. she knelt before them and looked worriedly up at steve, silently asking him what was going on.

rey "yes," rey exhaled as he sat them down on the couch, closing her eyes and bringing her hands to her head. "i... d-derek and i were pushed down a flight of stairs... i hit my head and got knocked out. and bruised a couple of ribs... w-we went to the hospital and now i'm on five different kinds of medication..."

steve steve shook his head at peggy's questioning look. he had no idea what was going on. whatever it was, it was more than just her being upset. she looked horribly fatigued. "what?!" he exclaimed loudly. the floorboards in the house might as well vibrated at his staccato.

peggy: omg steeb my bb

steve: peggy, rey, nat, wanda

peggy peggy's hands came up to her mouth at rey's admission, looking over at steve in shock. oh, no. she knew her steve; and she knew the guilt would hit him /hard/ after this. "i-i'll get some ice," she whispered immediately and jumped up, jogging to the kitchen to get some ice to cool rey down.

rey for some reason, she assumed steve had known about her injuries. but how could he possibly? they hadn't spoken in weeks. "i-i'm sorry, i thought you knew..." she admitted honestly, nodding in appreciation as peggy went to get her ice. then she moved her hair out of the way so steve could see the stitched up gash near her temple, with sweat-soaked bandages covering it.

steve way to go, steve. he felt absolutely terrible for everything at this point. all previous guilt he had was superimposed at her admission. "o-oh, god, rey. i'm so sorry." his gaze fell to his hands, which he quickly retracted from her forearms and placed in his lap. once peggy returned with the ice, he gave peggy his best attempt at a smile.

peggy peggy knelt in front of them yet again as she finished wrapping the bag of ice in a paper towel, giving a small, hesitant smile back to steve. "back of your neck, darling," she said to rey, handing it over carefully. any friend of steve's was a friend of hers. she was choosing to look past their differences, as they obviously wanted to as well.

rey rey shook her head. "i-it's okay, i should've told you..." she whispered, feeling bad that she'd, accidentally, of course, kept him in the dark about it all. it was why she couldn't stand up when he told her to, why she couldn't leave when all she wanted to do was run away. but maybe it helped them reconcile in the end. "thank you..." she whispered to peggy and placed the pack on the back of her neck, leaning back against the couch pillow with a slow exhale.

peggy: LAST PAGE

steve steve instantly sat up from his spot once peggy administered the ice. she didn't need to be on the floor anyways. "i don't blame you." after the whole coffee table mess, who would want to speak to him? he acted like a complete and utter fool in their apartment and in the park. "i'm sorry."

steve: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

peggy "no, no, no," peggy mouthed reassuringly, shaking her head and helping him to sit again. "you sit, i'm okay." obviously rey wanted, or needed, his support right now, and she was sure he needed hers as well. they had just come back together, after all.

rey rey opened her eyes and looked sorrowfully over at steve, shaking her head gently. "don't apologize, it's my fault too... i-i didn't mean anything i said either, i just wanted your attention again..." she admitted. speaking of... she looked down at peggy sadly. "i-i'm sorry i was so jealous... it led me to do things that i wouldn't usually do. bad things, and it wrecked my relationship with the best friend i've ever had. so i'm sorry..."

steve steve responded to peggy's refusal with a tight lipped nod. "you didn't wreck anything." he murmured with sad eyes. "i shouldn't have got angry when you told me what you did. i acted the same way when you were with derek."

peggy: omg wtf when did u get here

peggy peggy smiled kindly and nodded to rey, gently patting her knee. "it's alright... everything's all better now," she reassured her with a light, soothing tone. obviously she and steve were very close, and it made her sad to think that they'd spent so much time apart because of peggy herself.

rey right... derek. that was a whole other ordeal that she still had to sort through. her eyes closed slowly as she let out a heavy sigh, readjusting the ice pack on the back of her neck. "i don't know what's going on with us now..." she admitted quietly, peeking up at steve again. "i want to be married to him... /so/ badly, but... but he's still not ready yet. and it's been /two months/... we've known each other for three of them... he doesn't understand that i haven't had a real connection with anyone for fifteen years... i don't want to waste anymore time in my life..."
