Finally got around to finishing my Sada and Turo horses.

it's the day before my birthday, and my girlfriend surprised me with an outing to a local bird aviary/botanic gardens in the mountains!!!

this was an absolute delight for me, known bird enjoyer, and i got to have many cute and phenomenal birds perched on my head (which i loved and plushie magolor 'tolerated', on account of it being my birthday). i even got to see a nicobar pigeon, which i had never seen in person before!

they also surprised me with an early birthday present to use at the incredible mountain-top picnic spread my gf planned (😭😭) of this extraordinarily cute kirby themed liquid-glitter cup!!

and of course, in true starflung fashion i injured myself twice

once, not three minutes into the outing when my umbrella (which i only require because i'm allergic to both the sun and sunscreen) bit me, and my gf had to run to reception to get me a bandaid. later, when i just totally fkn stacked it on some loose gravel on a slope and i got the umbrella back by slamming it into the ground, along with my knees and one palm. but not the other palm, which was holding plushie magolor, who touched neither gravel nor dirt and never will while i still breathe!

My life isn't quite falling apart, but things have gotten really tricky lately. One housemate (and their super destructive, permanent houseguest) is refusing to pay their share of rent or utilities for the next three months, and another is refusing to pay their full share of rent for that same amount of time and is making us cover around $75 every month, and I'm having to double-up my hours at work while still being a full-time student (and also one of my professors, who we're 99% sure is using ChatGPT to generate her citations because none of them exist and we pointed this out, hates my guts and has been grading me really harshly and forcing me to go full-sail on every assignment to ridiculous degrees in order to pass this required class).

My spouse is working on getting full-time at their job, but it looks like they won't be able to until December, and we also have no idea how much rent is going to increase this year-- my guess is it's going to go up another $500, same as last year, to a total of $3,000, so things are gonna get really fucking bumpy until around January, probably.

I've long since been a FRobin shipper, but I'm currently rewatching Enies Lobby and boy, if they didn't want us to think it was canon, they shouldn't have laid it on so thick. Like, it's clear Franky's got it bad already, but the way he looks at Robin when she first uses her powers, that's clearly when he decides he's gonna marry her.

I'm on the firm belief that Ascend Astarion cares that you broke up with him but because he's so full of himself and his ego is the size of all of Faerûn that he will never tell you that he's hurt. It is sooo good but technically yes it is just implied. I think it is HEAVILY implied to the point of not actually being just implied BUT we do not actually get on-screen confirmation between the two leads. (There are some spoilers here that have probably already been spoiled for you if you've seen the gifsets I've reblogged.) We get Daniel's mom telling him and telling Betty (separately) that he's in love with her, and then Daniel goes after her, but we never get more than him asking her to dinner and her saying yes! And I think that should be illegal!!! Especially because there are MULTIPLE versions of Ugly Betty in different countries and languages and in EVERY SINGLE OTHER VERSION, they get together in canon and get married. I really truly do believe that they were setting up Daniel and Betty from the start, especially on rewatches, because there is just soo much stuff throughout the show. They found out they got canceled I believe halfway through shooting season 4 so that changed everything, and I've seen some people say him asking her to dinner in the last scene is platonic because they didn't build up a love story enough. But I don't agree! I have seen it since the pilot! And they definitely kicked it up a notch for the last half of the last season. He threw a fit when she tried to take someone else as a date to her sister's wedding and he spent the WHOLE night dancing with her and gazing lovingly at her and telling her how beautiful she looked! And I'm sorry but why would they have his mother tell both of them he has feelings for her, show him writing a whole public letter to the editor about changing your life for someone important to you, leaving the magazine he's spent the entire show clutching onto, and then following her to a different continent if they meant it all PLATONICALLY??? It does not make sense just from a writing perspective. In conclusion, they're canon and the haters can pry them from my cold, dead hands.
