discussed all this with another outlast pal but we've been thinking a. bradley avellanos (as she was finally revealed in the villains trailer) may have the first name alice, since she serves as the quintessential alice archetype of mkultra in the trials as a guide to the reagents. she is the first character we are introduced to in our first trial.

easterman may be a secret fourth prime asset himself and unaware of his position, the "man" archetype in the tetramorph the prime assets form. gooseberry the eagle, coyle the lion, and whitehorn the bull. (futterman being a goose, lion iconography in the courthouse, whitehorn's oil company quite literally having a bull as the logo.) although he believes he is controlling the experiment, as illustrated in the documents, he is clearly under the surveillance and influence of avellanos and wernicke, further proven in the trailer by their partnered observation of the sinyala facility.

avellanos has also established herself as a force reagents are intended to trust while easterman is their tormenter. they are driven to protect her from legal repercussions, evidenced in the courthouse trial. easterman may think he is creating his own army under murkoff's nose, but they are being conditioned to serve her.

taken a step further, avellanos and easterman mirror the mother/father dichotomy that gooseberry and coyle themselves portray. easterman clearly seems to favor coyle's enthusiasm while gooseberry rails against her conditioning and expresses anger; this could be a precursor to knoth's cult deriving from the patriarchal order of coyle as opposed to the matriarchal chaos of val and her disciples, who serve as the spiritual successor of gooseberry.

we've also discussed the bonkers idea that perhaps avellanos also shares a connection with joanne and alison marion as their respective mother and grandmother. she may have been affected by her proximity to the engine, their blood disease derived from the original sinyala experiments and monitored over generations by murkoff.

perhaps she's still alive by the time of outlast 3 and helen grant is her protegee, instructed to keep eyes on the marion family through her right hand agent pauline, since pauline explains in the comics that paul was always her target since the inception of their partnership.

i think this would be an incredibly clever way to affirm simon's claim that alice is directly connected to sinyala. if she is truly a descendant of avellanos, changed by the morphogenic engine, perhaps the reagent network may be under alice marion's control after all. this may set her up to be the spider eyed lamb the testament feared.

this is probably a really unpopular opinion, but one thing that always perplexed and confused me about RP is the way people will often write as though multiple conversations are going on at once in a 1v1 RP. like, idk! I don't have an example off the top of my head, but do people really speak like that? Do people IRL speak in long-winded replies that address multiple topics back and forth? Idk, maybe it's bc I have ADHD and really bad short-term memory, but it always throws me off. It doesn't peeve me or anything, and I can respond to it easily enough. So it's not like I'm going to tell people not to do that.

But

One thing that DOES generally peeve me, is when I break up dialogue over a post, and the reply I get has someone reacting to the first bit of dialogue & doing something "in between" my character's dialogue, then reacts to the rest of the dialogue as though it happened after they did whatever reaction to the first half. I genuinely don't know how to reply to that, because my character has already moved on. Fortunately I only see this in discord RP, but it makes me kinda upset because where I'd LIKE to reply to what they did... the scene has literally already moved on.

just a lil update for the 4 ppl that care <3

i feel bad for repeatedly disappearing without warning but honestly.... tbh.......... I am stretched very thin art/creativity wise with almost constantly working on tiktoks, (i hate that i love that stupid app), working on comms (i love & appreciate my commissioners! this isn’t a bad thing, just takes time!!), and also trying to make my art improve enough to start selling prints and hopefully, eventually, create enough inventory to make an online shop. plus just general life stress :”)

i spent almost a decade pretty much only drawing monsters, kaiju, animals, etc, and due to outside factors, never really fleshed out the subject matter of my art, since those were the only things that i enjoyed drawing. for the past year and a bit i’ve really been pushing myself to get better at drawing people, and developing a style that i like with them. 

i’m never going to fully abandon kaiju/creature art, like, ever. yeah i’ll need to take breaks, but you wrong asf if you think my undying love of goji (and others) is going anywhere. i’m hoping to find a better balance between my kaiju work and other work, because i do miss it dearly. i think once im done my next round of comms im gonna push myself to make some time for some kaiju art, for my soul and also because you guys have been saints for putting up with my disappearing act <3

tldr: my brain is goopy so i need breaks but i’m never gonna abandon kaiju art, or this blog in general. ur all super cool and awesome ily <3 

The pokemon anime, especially early on, was really weird about stone based evolutions?

We all know the anime really hated Raichu especially early on, but it like... wasn't just raichu, y'know?

with the exception of Clefable and Vileplume the anime was very... "evolution stones are just a cheap trick to make weak pokemon stronger" view of stone evos and I just think that's a little weird lol
