Compatible choso x fem!reader
remi's note: thank u guys again for 1k AHHHHHHH idk where i'd be without your support!! you guys chose choso so here's the 1k special fic!! i am obsessed with the "best friend's older brother trope" yuji is the best friend :3
content: fluff, meeting, yuji doesn't get a break, etc.
Tumblr media
Being one of Yuji's closest friends you've seen his "roommate" as you like to call him, every once in awhile. He would always leave his room to grab something to eat or such whenever you were hanging out with your pink haired friend.
Today you finally had the courage to ask who he was. You and Yuji are sitting very close on his couch, practically cuddling, while watching Inuyasha on Netflix when you suddenly ask, "Hey Yuji, who's that black haired guy who lives with you?"
He doesn't turn his attention away from the tv but instead answers you with, "you know how I told you I have a brother?"
He notices you nodding in his peripheral vision. "Yeah, well that's my older half brother Choso."
"Oh.. I thought he was like your roommate or something." Yuji chuckles, "haha.. technically yeah. I'm crashing with him until I get a place of my own. He doesn't mind though."
This whole time you thought this was Yuji's place, but it does make sense. Yuji's been job-hopping lately. He hasn't had a stable career in seven months.
And speak of the devil, Choso came out of his room without a shirt on, he passes by the two of you on his way to the kitchen then he stops, "Sesshomaru is the best character."
The two brothers argued about this for twenty minutes. Apparently it's a hot take in their house hold. "Inuyasha is obviously better than his older brother!" Yuji yells for the 9th time.
"Sesshomaru is cooler, and has a better understanding of the world. Like me. You only like Inuyasha because you're a younger brother." What he's saying actually does make some sense.
"Yuji, I have to agree with your brother. On top of Sesshomaru being smarter he's also hotter." Yuji looks betrayed in a playful way.
"What?? Oh come on! Not you too. Might as well go hang out with my brother, you traitor." Yuji isn't serious about the offer but Choso makes the offer real.
"I mean, if you're not opposed to it we can hang out? I don't mind joining you two." He's standing closer to the couch now with a mug of tea in his hand.
His shirtless body does something to you, because your mouth hangs open trying to form a response but you close it again not knowing what to say.
"We're good thanks! Go on back to your cave, Batman!" Yuji rolls his eyes trying to get his brother to leave.
"I was asking her, dumbass. Not you." He says getting close enough to kick Yuji and the younger retaliates by trying to block it.
"Um sure, you can hang out with us." You mumble and Yuji whines in defeat.
"Seriously?! I'm your friend not him!!" To your ears it sound like the pink haired boy is jealous.
"Scoot over Yuji. I'll sit in the middle." Choso says with a smirk on his face.
"Nuh-uh! I'm sitting next to [name] you don't even know her like that!!"
That was the first time you'd hung out with Choso Kamo.
---------
That was about four months ago, as of current, you're sitting on Choso's bed waiting for him to grab the snacks you two bought a few hours ago.
When he returns you show him a tiktok that reminds you of him, "Cho, you look like this cat!" Upon seeing the cat he chuckles a little bit, "I do not."
Yuji's started working a night job so you usually hang out with Choso until he gets off of work.
"Thanks for the snacks. I love these ones." He nods politely at you and joins you on his bed. The first time the two of you hung out in his room you were very nervous and sat on his floor as to not invade his privacy. He thought it was so cute how you were acting and invited you up on his bed.
You told him it was a mistake on his behalf because now you make yourself comfortable in his bed any time you come over.
"Do you wanna finish that show we were watching?" You turn to him and catch him staring at you. He quickly turns away and fakes a cough. You've been wondering if your accusations were true.
Yuji tells you that all his brother wants to talk about now is you. Yuji suspects his brother has a crush on you, but when he confronted him the gloomy looking male denied it. Yuji doesn't know that you like Choso.
"Yeah sure, do you wanna, like, cuddle? Platonically, though." You wonder if he's making it clear for you that he doesn't like you or he's just trying to keep you from becoming uncomfortable.
"What if I wanted to cuddle romantically??" You ask with a sudden sprout of bravery.
"Um.. I'd be okay with that, heh." He says shyly, you noticed how his face slightly turned red.
"I like hanging out with you, Cho." You crawl into his lap and he wraps his arms around you. He places his head in the crook of your neck and breathes in deeply.
"I lik- no I love hanging out with you too, [name]."

Inuvember 2023 Part 1
In honor of @inuvember InuKag Day, the Archive Mods have put together a 30 item InuKag recommendation list: one InuKag fic per prompt. Since this list is longer than our usual, we've split it into two parts. Enjoy!
Day 1 Inuyasha
I Hate That Fucking Well by @kstewdeux (M)
Post-manga. Inuyasha POV. Inuyasha's inner thoughts and monologues. Rated M for fucking language
Day 2 Kagome
Cinnamon Hearts by @fandomobsessions016 (M)
"So, you may be wondering, what’s this story about anyway? Well, I’ll tell you. It’s about how this queen, almost lost her crown, her throne, but worst of all… it’s about how this queen almost lost her king…
Hindsight, of course, has perfect vision, but at the time I did not. I was a girl becoming a woman who fought bitterly against change that was inevitable. I didn’t want to open my eyes. I didn’t want to see what was right in front of me.
What I wanted more than anything was to keep Inuyasha.
High school forced my eyes open, tested our “unshakable” bond and made me confront my biggest fear. All because…
I caught feelings for my best friend.
I like-liked my king."
Day 3 Sango
Forever Home by KittyKatz (M)
How long had he roamed the earth in a form that was not his? Beaten, dirty and caged, he finds one last bit of fortune when she comes to rescue him from this place. But his road to redemption will not be easy. And he will find, that no matter how the world has changed, his old enemy remains. And this time, they plan to destroy him once and for all.
Day 4 Miroku
Under the Northern Lights by @lostinfantasyworlds (E)
Kagome Higurashi has her dream job, working as a photographer for the internationally well-known Yugen magazine. Her career whisks her all around the world, leaving her feeling lonely sometimes but mostly just incredibly grateful to be doing what she loves. When she gets assigned to Alaska for a month to photograph a series of celestial events, she runs into Inuyasha, a half-demon who lives on his own in the middle of nowhere. A mutual attraction draws them to each other, but Kagome's time there is limited. Will giving in to their desire lead to love or heartbreak?
Day 5 Shippo
Oh, But You're Good To Me by @witchygirl99 (E)
It’s a terrible photo, really. The action figure takes up the entire bottom of the screen and part of both of their faces. Shippo’s giggling though, eyes shut and crinkled in his mirth while Inuyasha looks at him. His expression is clearly fond. It’s the softest Inuyasha has ever, ever seen himself.
This is fatherhood, he thinks a little wildly.
He sends the photo to Kagome.
Inuyasha is a single father. Shippo is his adopted son. Kagome isn't supposed to be in the picture, but somehow, she returns anyways. A story about family, love, and all of its obstacles.
Day 6 Sesshomaru
Whispers in the Wind by @ruddcatha (G)
It has been 500 years since Kagome jumped back down the well to be with Inuyasha. A messenger waits to see her family, and is joined by a surprising guest.
Day 7 Rin
My Life Before You by @len-barboza (E) -- based on a story by Mizune-mei
No English language summary provided.
Day 8 Kikyou
Stolen Soul by Kimberly-A (T)
COMPLETE Kikyo uses a spell to exchange bodies with Kagome, leaving Kagome stuck in the dead shell and Kikyo comfortably human. In the aftermath, Inu-Yasha faces difficult choices. InuKag, not very Kikyo-friendly.
Day 9 Koga
A New Moon, A New Start by @pinestripes (T)
Kouga visits the village near the Sacred Tree. On this particular evening, he finds that a certain half-demon is more on edge than usual.
Day 10 Kagura
The Portal Between Worlds by @neutronstarship (E)
Ten years ago, a portal transported Inuyasha from the demon realm to the human realm. Now a half-demon alone in a world he doesn't understand, he will do anything to get home. When Onigumo brings him a book with all the answers, Inuyasha pushes aside his misgivings and works with the man. He just wants to get home, after all.
Kagome just wants to make an extra buck (and find demons), much to Kikyo’s chagrin. That is why she published Demons Among Us! after all. But strange things start happening when she puts the book online. As if people are using it to open the portals that it hypothesized… When Kagura and Sango join the fray, the stakes grow higher as they try to find the source of the portals.
When Inuyasha encounters Kagome, fate is not what it seems. Not one, but two realms are in danger for their survival. What happens when the final portal opens and an unknowable terror is unleashed? Can the Demon Hunters save the world?
Day 11 Naraku
You Rescued Me by @keizfanfiction (E)
Maybe it was fate that he decided to take the back way home that night, but whatever the reason, Inuyasha was grateful for arriving just in the nick of time to rescue a waif of a woman who had clearly been through hell. He never would have imagined that she would end up rescuing him, too.
Day 12 Band of Seven
Delicate by @akitokihojo (T)
To trust someone, to let them in, what an unsettling ordeal. Kagome is easy and safe, and Inuyasha is difficult and guarded. She can put him at ease with a smile, simultaneously setting him on edge. It was nothing until it was something, creating absolute chaos and uncertainty within the both of them.
Day 13 Jinenji/ Shiori
How Does Your Garden Grow? by @dawnrider (M)
An Ingary-esque AU: Kagome, the newest generation of caretakers of the Higurashi House, finally starts to feel like her garden and business is thriving with the help of her friend Jinenji. Their routine is thrown off by the arrival of an injured visitor who does not want to be found...
Day 14 Toga
Taisho School of Acting: A Quick Guide by @jeremymarsh (G)
“Excuse me, what?” Kagome looked at her best friend with eyes as big as saucers, lips parted, and her mind replaying what he had said a moment before – trying to find a sense but to no avail. “You heard me.” Inuyasha scowled, looking down, arms crossed and lips pouting, just like he did every time he didn’t like the topic at hand. The problem was he had started it this time. “Yeah, I did.” Kagome shook her head and inhaled deeply before she continued. “And that’s why I’m asking you to repeat yourself since I’m having problems believing that certain sentences left your mouth.” “I said,” Inuyasha started through clenched teeth, still not meeting her gaze, “come to my family Christmas dinner this Sunday.” He stopped, ran a hand through his silver mane, closed his eyes, murmured something unintelligible and then added: “As my girlfriend.”
Where Inuyasha tries to fool his parents and miserably fails.
Day 15 Izayoi
The Silence of Daisies by Fierywenchxo (T)
Inuyasha shares with Kagome one of the biggest secrets he's ever kept. One-shot.

So I have a different requests it a groups one
He so cam I request a yandere JTTW x toddler sesshormu half Demon daughter reader
Where the whole group are like uncles but Shadow peach is the mom and dad to the reader
The reader it's just like her uncle and nausea as a demon she has dog ears but has her papa powers but also has a little bit of spiritual powers like her mom could kagome ( I shipped them so hard don't blame me)
The reader fell into the the middle of a fight
Between Shadowpeach and other demon's
And everon just see a cute little puppy half Demon reader and is like baby must be protected. And they find out that she also has a jewel like her mama in side her.
But honestly they don't care about the jewel they care about the reader. ( Also the jewel is like stuck to her heart so it cannot be removed like a kagome unless one the boys knows about surgery)
I don’t ship kagome x sesshomaru but I hope I can do a good job on this anyway.
Warnings: noob author, female reader, yandere charcters, and others.
Characters: Tripitaka, sandy, pigsy, sun, and macaque.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The group plus macaque; who decided to join his mate after finding out that sun didn’t betray him like he originally thought,was against another demon that wanted to get tripitaka’s powers when they met you, a cute young half demon dog pup that randomly appear in front of the group and demon.
Unlike the group the demon didn’t care if you lived or died so they attacked not worrying if they hit you or not which didn’t sit well with the group and macaque quickly went in to save you while sun went after the demon.
Tripitaka shockingly didn’t punish sun but that’s because he was distracted with you and making sure you weren’t hurt before you came between the fight, macaque also made sure you’re alright and reassured that you’re safe now.
Sun noticed a faint pink glow around you with more of that glow focused to your heart but decided to let it go with you being blessed by a god or something in exchange to smother you with affection with how cute you are plus his mate sewed to already treat you like his cub now an so should he as well as he always wanted a family with macaque besides his subjects.
Pigsy is the uncle that needs to be supervised when around you as he has habits that shouldn’t be taught to you at al but he still cares and make sure you’re safe, because you’re both adorable and cause his life depends on as it’s either macaque or sun that will end his life he he gets you even a hair or paper cut on your body then he’s a roasted pig personally cooked by the demon monkey’s.
Now sandy is both uncle and god father as he’s the most responsible and mature of the group besides macaque so the two know he won’t let you get hurt, he will protect you, and raised you if anything happens too them which won’t happen for a long time.
Tripitaka is the older brother that you know to always gets kidnapped by demons until the other demons noticed the glow you seem to have that is only seen by strong demons which then is where both of you gets kidnapped, here’s a twist though since you’re now his little sister he will do things that’s against Buddhism just to protect you even try to practice martial arts just to be least inconveniencing the others and you but also to protect you from all the other threats that may come in the future.
(A/n: groped you like it!! I couldn’t do more than 7 paragraphs for this one as i didn’t know what else to put so hope you’re ok with that! Anyway hope ya’ll have a wonderful day/evening/night!! Oh! Also after i get done with the last of my draft (which is a lmk request) I’ll be putting the lmk masterlist on hold so please no more until i get out of my burned out state, you can still request for x lmk!reader (y’all can still request for jttw x reader, don’t worry) just use a different fandom if you want a crossover so please be mindful that I’m getting burned out of lmk at the moment, I’ll be sure to let y’all know when y’all can request for lmk again when I recover from this lmk burn out.)
Yashahime Manga Volume 1 - Bonus Interview with Rumiko Takahashi and Takashi Shiina
Tumblr media
The long-awaited interview with Rumiko Takahashi, legendary creator of Inuyasha, and Takashi Shiina, who pens Yashahime! You've mentioned before that when it was announced that the Yashahime anime would be adapted into a manga, you exclaimed, "I want to draw it!"
Shiina: One of the manga I drew before Psychic Squad was an adaptation of Ultraman Nexus. It was fairly popular, so I started getting offers to turn other anime into manga. Among them was Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken, which featured character designs by Rumiko Takahashi. I see. Shiina: I really wanted to do it, but I was about to start work on Psychic Squad, so I had to turn the project down. But the idea of working on something with Takahashi stuck with me. I kept thinking how much fun it would be to draw manga based on her characters, and I regretted the missed opportunity. Fortunately, I heard about the development of Yashahime just as Psychic Squad was ending. I thought to myself, "Well, if the timing is right, I'd love to do that!" So, 17 years later, my dream of drawing Takahashi's characters in a manga has come true. Takahashi: When I first heard that [Shiina wanted the job] shortly after the anime started airing, I thought, "Are you kidding me? You must be pulling my leg!" When his name came up in conversation three more times, I realized the editors were serious. I thought it would be amazing to have Shiina work on Yashahime, so I gave them the go-ahead.
What were your thoughts after reading his first chapter of Yashahime?
Takahashi: It was so much fun! He highlights the characters so well. He uses Towa's signature glare to define her personality. Setsuna's glare is even fiercer. And the fiercest of all is their father Sesshomaru's glare. What a great technique. Also, the slightly elongated way he draws Towa and Setsuna is just right. I thought to myself, "That's exactly what Sesshomaru's daughters would look like!" The reactions of the Higurashi family are well thought-out too. Of course, Shiina is a seasoned manga artist, so it's no surprise. It was really fun to read.
Tumblr media
^ Towa's otherworldly glare Shiina: I'm kind of like Takahashi's apprentice… though I've never studied under her. (laughs)
I'm sure there was discussion about the art. Can you talk about how you view each other's approach to manga?
Shiina: Takahashi's art is impossible to reproduce. You can come close, but it's still a copy and a fake. I was worried that readers would get distracted by the disconnect between our drawing styles and have trouble getting into the story. So I approached it as what would happen if a Takahashi character came into my world. For example, her version of Towa is cuter and feels younger. With my approach, Towa expresses emotion the most when her eyes are downcast. I added extra volume to her bangs so I could use them to hide her eyes. On the other hand, I want the characters to remain recognizable. I'm always trying to strike a balance. Takahashi: I think it's better that Shiina is drawing it in his style. It enables me to come to it as a reader. The designs are similar but definitely not clones. The glimpses of Inuyasha and Kagome in the past are drawn very well. I really like the Kagome in the picture frame. She has a soft, grounded look.
Tumblr media
^ This image of Kagome is one of Takahashi's favorites. Shiina: (laughs) Takahashi: I enjoy following the manga as just a reader. When this project was announced, Takahashi was quoted as saying, "I'm looking forward to the chilling beauty of Sesshomaru." Did you set any rules for Shiina when it came to drawing Inuyasha's brother? Takahashi: I think the only note I sent him was, "Sesshomaru never gets nervous flop sweat." He's an aloof, solitary character. I knew Shiina would be able to capture that, but manga artists have a tendency to draw panic and flop sweat to create drama. Shiina: Yes, yes. We do. Takahashi: But that was about it. I knew Shiina's drawings would be great. I made the "chilling beauty" comment knowing he'd understand what I meant. Shiina: (laughs)
Tumblr media
What did you think after seeing the finished art? Takahashi: It was just as I expected Shiina's work to be. It was good. Shiina: Thank you very much.
Shiina, how did you handle drawing Sesshomaru?
Shiina: I thought about how to direct the characters more than how to draw them. Sesshomaru doesn't open up much, but he has to share enough of himself for us to understand his perspective. He's facing his own challenges. His personal convictions and aesthetic are always in conflict with his reality. But would he talk about that with anyone? No. So the challenge is to find ways for him to express himself through his actions.
Compared to the characters you created in your original manga, like Ghost Sweeper Mikami and Psychic Squad, is it harder to figure out how they would behave and what they would say?
Shiina: Absolutely. I try to draw the three girls as if they're my own daughters and add a little bit of myself to them. Inuyasha and Kagome have open, lighthearted personalities, so it's easier to figure out what they'd say or do in a situation. With Sesshomaru, I can guess what he's feeling, but it's difficult to imagine how he would reveal that. He's a tough character to understand.
Tumblr media
^ Sesshomaru's chilling beauty, as drawn by Shiina What do you have to consider when adapting an anime into manga? Shiina: I think it's fine for the adaptation to be different from the original. In fact, there are things that have to change. My intention is to keep the themes of the story in alignment with both the original work and my own perspective. I'm not trying to create a copy of Takahashi's work, but to build something new on the foundations she's created. I'm finding where her artistic sensibilities and mine intersect…or something like that. I look for points in the story where the manga and anime can connect so they don't diverge too much.
What do you mean by "artistic sensibilities"?
Shiina: For example, before Takahashi became a professional manga artist, she absorbed the works of creators like Kazumasa Hirai, Daijiro Moroboshi, and Yasutaka Tsutsui. I also love their work, so I think about how that commonality between us connects to Yashahime. When I'm reading her work, I try to imagine her intentions.
What do you focus on when you draw the monsters and demons?
Shiina: I'm a geeky guy, so I love to draw cool-looking monsters. But reading Inuyasha and Takahashi's other manga, I realize it's not all about the battles. She puts focus and weight on the emotional impression of the monster and the reactions of the character fighting it. Instead of anime-style cool, her monsters have a raw feeling, like they've emerged from the shadows of folklore. Takahashi: Except my drawings aren't as scary. Shiina: They are! Takahashi: I just hope they're scary enough. I'm careful not to make them look silly, I guess. I do use the human characters' reactions to sell the idea of how terrifying they are. I also use darkness and visceral effects to further build the scene. But I don't really think deeply about it as I'm drawing. It's just fun to draw monsters!
Tumblr media
^ Takahashi's monsters and people reacting to them. These reactions are crucial to the tone. Shiina: The other day, when I was drawing the un-mothers, I also drew little kanashibari, demons said to cause sleep paralysis, which have appeared in Inuyasha. They're super fun to draw. I love the stippling on their bodies, their big eyes and squiggly eyebrows, the way it's impossible to tell what they're thinking. They wear odd cloaks over their shoulders. I kept thinking, "Why do these guys dress like that?" and, "I wonder what they're thinking right now." It was exciting.
Tumblr media
Takahashi: I agree. I like the smaller, animal-like demons that look like they could be scuttling around in hell. They're creepy to look at. And I like their cute pot bellies. Shina: Yes, exactly. Maybe it didn't make sense to put them with the un-mothers. But they added visual appeal and an otherworldly atmosphere, so I felt they needed to be there. In my imagination, Sesshomaru originally summoned them to defeat Inuyasha, but afterwards they continued to work for him, and they still take on special assignments. (laughs) And that's why I drew them into the scene. Takahashi: That's so fun.
Tumblr media
^ Some of Shiina's favorite demons When it comes to character design, what's your approach? Shiina: If I try to plan a character design in my head, I get confused. Like, I'll want a character to look flashy, but then start asking myself, "Why flashy? And will that relate to their personality or be confusing?" I approach character design from the inside out, developing an appearance that suits their personality. That's the only way I know how to do it so the characters are the right ones to tell the story I want to write. Takahashi: First I think up the plot and setting. Then I think about what characters would fit into that world. That's when I start drawing, but I redraw them over and over before I'm satisfied. Shiina: (laughs) Takahashi: The smallest adjustments in a design, like how their hair curls, or their eyes, or their glasses, make a character look completely different. I feel like I just have to keep drawing until the character design settles into the story.
Takahashi, you designed the three main girls in Yashahime. How did you go about that?
Takahashi: Sumisawa, the writer of the anime, told me that Towa was the "white Sesshomaru" and Setsuna was the "black Sesshomaru." Moroha is the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, so I didn't put much thought into her at all. I just drew her so that she unquestionably looked like their daughter.
saw that you’re still doing confessions
can we talk about sesshomaru again, i’m literally thinking about him all week long, i’ve read someone headcanon him as a virgin being uninterested by romance at all, so i’ve been thinking about making him whimper in my hands as he process what we’re doing, telling him how good he is while we become intimate, whiny, and desperate with each other. what do you think, fey?
He is stressed af, and you suggest helping him relax, he doesn’t see how and one thing leads to another and your mouth is around his dick. It’s his first blow job and he is a whiny blushing mess
Think about Sesshomaru laying on top of a blanket, using his fluffy white thing like a pillow, clothes asides. You’re sitting in between his legs, looking up at him while sucking his long pale cock. He is trembling and trying to muffle his whines with his hand.
Eventually he can’t hold back, he slides his hand into his hair and tugs it a little. His eyes turn red and you can see his fangs sticking out. Just becomes he’s cummed doesn’t mean he isn’t worked up still
Keep sucking him so his dick stays hard and he laps up the overstimulation. He will get curious about you, after all you made him so submissive on that moment he wants to gain some control back.
He needs some instruction which he accepts, he is also very attentive how you react to his tongue and fingers. And can quickly figure out how make you a whiny mess. It definitely boosts his ego to see you trembling, moaning out praises for him.
Once he gets inside though Sesshomaru is becoming feral as he wraps his hand around your throat, pins you to a tree and fucks you in a mating press.
He has breathy moans, and he likes to bite your neck, play with your tits, will stroke your clit. Man becomes just as much of a menace in the bedroom as he is on the battlefield
He whines when he pulls out and cums on you. And likes to scoop it up with his fingers to taste. The breeding kink would be strong with this one, but not yet, once y’all get serious though
Gossip Girl AU
Zoro: Bitchass here mad because I did not let his damn mouth near my ass
Sesshomaru:…….
Eren: Whoa!!!
Sukuna: He asked for it
Zoro: No. Like why do pretty bitches like me get judged for partying and sex and shit? And yet ugly ass hoes like this motherfucker get to go scot free? It is so bloody simple. I am the fucking blueprint!! I am the showstopper!! The fucking A-lister!! The King of Kings. Without me, this bitch right here wouldn’t have a fucking job!!
Sesshomaru: Those are some bold words Zoro. Coming from a train wreck whose career fucking died because he lost relevancy and ground to everyone else once we upped our game and started outselling and outshining you. Like bitch no one cares about you. No one remembers you. You are all washed up. Might as well sit pretty and just eat all your father’s wealth. That is if there is any wealth left.
Sanji: Imma let you finish but bro you fucking went too far. Like you are part of fucking reason Zoro ended up this way. Like you secretly record all his phone calls with us and others and send it to his mother. You would film him and even sent the paparazzi to stalk his every move. Like bitch you fucking caused that accident 3 years ago that almost killed him!! You ruined your best friend beyond repair just so that you could get ahead of him!!
Zoro: It’s okay Sanji. Let him say what he wants. He wants war. Then fine. He has already started one. And he would surely lose it
Bad Blood
“Ah fuck, you two are banging again, aren’t you?”
Inuyasha was about to kill his only other friend in the world. He needed to remind himself how stupid his friend was–and–
“Oof,” Miroku groaned, as he smacked himself into Kagome’s barrier. Ha. Inuyasha almost hoped Miroku broke his nose. “Whyyyyy—”
“Because you annoy me,” Kagome said, sipping her tea as she read the paper on Inuyasha’s bed in his long tee-shirt.
Devil Devil
(Disclaimer: This is like 3 chapters ahead from my last post--sorry--I'll try to beta and read this week)
Brushing my teeth with the extra toiletries the hotel provided helped with the lingering headache and stomachache. We had gotten at least twelve hours of sleep from when we checked into the hotel room and laid down, minus the quick spat from my friend who was still convinced I had a death wish. The sleep had definitely helped my body and hopefully some food would be the final nail in the chiffon to whatever else seemed to be aching.
"You sure about this?" Inuyasha asked from the door as I spit the toothpaste into the sink and rinsed my mouth out with water.
"What do you mean?" I asked as I turned towards him, wiping my mouth off the bubbly white lining.
"You goin' with. I can handle the two that are after your other friends."
"While I'm sure you can, I want to be there and while I know you're nervous since I'm kinda beat up, we both know you're better with me nearer than away." Inuyasha didn’t deny nor confirm my haughty statement, which meant I was right.
“I don’t like it.”
“You don’t have to.”
“I hate all of this if anyone is asking for my opinion,” Shippo added.
“No one did,” Inuyasha growled.
I sighed. My head hurt. They were riding my last nerve. And I really just wanted a nap.
Head Above Water
The wedding went off without a hitch. Kikyo almost seemed happy to marry the stoic bastard, and Sesshomaru almost seemed relieved he was taking the figurative arrow in the chest. But ultimately, it didn’t matter; what did matter was how beautiful Kagome looked in his eyes… Sango had really done her job. She was wearing an aquamarine dress, one that made her eyes sparkle, and make-up that didn't hide her natural beauty, nor made her look like she belonged totally.
Kagome was born to stand out– she was a fucking mermaid!
After the wedding, his father and mother blocked him from making any advances like he wanted to and Kagome was whisked away. While it pissed Inuyasha off to no end, he imagined it was to protect her from Kikyo’s family wrath.
Kikyo and Sesshomaru immediately went to forge the bond (something the humans were uncomfortable with knowing) but moved the great hall for the food and to await to marking celebration. Inuyasha, however, had other ideas.
Dog Demon War
Kagome found it odd being home. She wanted so badly to try and use the well–try to desperately get back to her Inuyasha–her friends–her family–
But there was a tremendous fear of even trying to time travel after that experience.
Her friends have been killed.
Her friends died before her very eyes.
She had died.
Their child had been killed within her womb.
Her hands trembled as she brought them to cover her face, trying to block out all the memories of the alternate timeline, trying to escape into the peacefulness of the wind blowing gently as she sat on the stone bench beneath the sacred tree. The smell of green tea enter her nose and startled her, making her whip her head up and see the violet eyes of her future daughter.
“Here you go, Mama,” Izayoi said sweetly, handing her the cup before sitting down next to her.
The gentle draping of a blanket over her shoulders made her almost jump until Izayoi rested her hand on her shoulder. Two golden orbs appeared in front of her, blinking, making her giggle from the curiosity.
“Moroha, hi,” Kagome greeted.
Shelter
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
How was Naraku alive? How was he in their hut? How was that damn puppet surrounding them with his vines?
His evil laugh was menacing and shook him through his human body. Inuyasha had only one thing on his mind, even though his mind screamed to run and get away: protect Kagome.
Love Again
“So aside from animal cruelty, why don’t you eat meat?” Inuyasha asked as he bit into his hamburger.
“Personal choice, I guess. I never loved it–not really. Then I guess when I was out on my own I just made the decision to cut it out. If I was cooking for me or ordering for me, why did I have to have something I didn’t need or really want?”
“So, you can make decisions then.”
“Look here,” Kagome scoffed, narrowing her eyes to see the smirk in Inuyasha’s, glowing and making her heart do backflips and nearly come up her throat.
It sucked that she was…stuck. In her current predicament. Her shoulder hurt. She was constantly on too strong pain-killers. But she was pretty sure one good rub of the fabric between her legs would make her orgasm. Kagome wanted Inuyasha.
It had been a long time. A long time. She hadn’t lied or exaggerated about that. But she was just tired of dating–tired of screwing random people–an itch was better satisfied using a vibrator or her fingers than a stranger who clearly had no idea how to use his fingers.
But Inuyasha was too–protective. Genuine. Kind. Kagome was still pretty certain he was in denial and wanted to wait for things to evolve more after her shoulder was healed. But that didn’t kill her lady-boner.
Holding out for a Hero
They didn’t emerge from their room for a couple of days. Sango had taken to making sure they were getting meals, knocking the door and calling to them before disappearing. Kagome could only surmise that it was instinct pulling to bond over and over. She blushed, thinking it didn’t help how amazing it felt for him to make her release over and over, as well. She heard a chuckle, the slight exhale causing her ear to flicker (something she was still getting used to day in and day out), and turned her head to see him smiling down at her. He kissed her shoulder and heart fluttered in response.
They were married.
They were officially bonded.
“We probably need to show our faces, lord husband,” she purred (literally) and blushed at the sound coming from her chest. Again, she still wasn’t quite used to the changes within and around her body.
Inuyasha chuckled again and nuzzled his face against her back, “They woulda came knockin’ if things were fallin’ apart.”
“Inuyasha—”
“This is our room. This is our space. What if it’s different out there?”
His vulnerability surprised her. Turning in his arms so that she was cradled by him instead of being spooned, she brought her hands to his face and carefully traced his cheekbones in comfort before going straight to his ears. “Nothing is different here than out there. I am wedded to you–body and soul. Let us show them–show everyone how I have dedicated myself to you. Also, I think we need to let others know that we will not be taking over this region, do you not agree?”
willow
(disclaimer--again, like 3 chapters ahead from my last post--another one I'm slowly getting through)
Kagome sighed and pouted a bit and he realized he was being a jackass. “Sorry, ‘Gome. I—I guess I just feel bad that you’re stuck there and you’re stressed out. It wasn’t supposed to be like this when you came. I–I let you down.”
“How did you do that?? You didn’t create the pandemic or this virus. This is just a tough spot,” Kagome tried to soothe. “I’m just being a baby and sensitive.”
“Keh. You have every right to be when you’re there with Emily.”
“Inuyasha, be nice. You know that she isn’t my main stressor. It’s been alright–just you know–a little weird since you’ve been gone for so long.”
“She still being fair?” Inuyasha asked, ears perked up and ready to jump through the screen if he had to in order to protect Kagome. Emily wasn’t mean or ill-spirited but he also wasn’t sure exactly what to expect from her either with him gone.
“Of course. She is still very grateful for the room and board.”
“Any word on her moving out?”
“No. None. But uh–about that–”
“What,” Inuyasha growled in annoyance.
Kagome scoffed and rolled her eyes. “I haven’t really pushed the idea on her just with everything going on.”
“Amazon packages still arriving?” Inuyasha questioned flatly and Kagome pursed her lips and nodded in response along with naming a couple of other different ones that had made their way to their doormat. “Yeah, she does that.”
“I just, uhm–I don’t know if it’s my place to say anything about it?”
“I guess if we want her out–”
“It’s fine for now!” Kagome cut him off, frantically, a forced smile on her face and turned away from the monitor. “Hey Em! Dinner??”
Kagome, still protecting people who didn’t deserve it. Typical. At least she was acting like her normal self. “Whatever. We don’t gotta talk about that. But go ahead and get food, I need to get myself something too.”
“Oh! By the way, did Miroku text you?” Kagome asked, turning back to him.
Inuyasha raised his eyebrow and looked down at his phone and realied that yes, the idiot had messaged him and he’d just ignored it. Talking to Kagome and playing Candy Crush just happened to be more important. He opened the text and it said ‘Game night?’ “I guess he means a virtual game night?”
“Yeah, Sango got an app for school to help everyone relax a little bit to get up and stretch so she has tons of online games we can play together.”
“Sure, why not. Not like you can throw the coffee-table when you get mad for losing and this time, you can’t accuse no one of cheatin;.”
“Don’t act like you know me,” Kagome said, sticking her tongue out. That’s the Kagome he knew.
Queer Sesshomaru
In honour of Pride month, we're featuring queer Sesshoumaru, whether it be bisexual, gender non-conforming, or something else!
Don't Be a Flake by Sereia13/@sereia1313
Mature | Modern AU | Complete Summary: A chance encounter in a coffee shop turns disastrous after Kagome’s new hire insults a customer.
Façades by Uissuteffu/@uissuteffu
Explicit | Modern Era Canon | Ongoing Summary: It had been almost a decade since she’d realized that she had been oh-so-very wrong as a teenager, there were yōkai in her time. They had just gotten really, really good at hiding themselves–suppressing their auras entirely, shifting their appearance and hiding behind concealment charms. Some even used magic to change and disguise their yōki signature. Unless one was actively probing her with their ki or she specifically probed them with hers, there was no way to tell the difference between humans and yōkai. Both walked freely among one another in the modern world.
Exception by AshMish111/@mrfeenysmustache
Explicit | Modern Era Canon | Complete Summary: Yokai pride themselves on having strong bodies, strong hearts, strong wills. But they still feel, and they still fall. Sesshomaru has lived centuries, various partners coming and going, but his heart remains untouched. And then a lonely Miko stumbles back into his life.
The Hair and Now by mynightshining/@mynightshining
Teen | Modern Era Canon | Complete Summary: After only focusing on school for a decade, Kagome's friend gifts her a much-needed day at the salon where she runs into a familiar face.
Kiss and Makeup by AshMish111/@mrfeenysmustache
Explicit | Modern AU | Complete Summary: Kagome needs help- fast. The only person she can think to turn to is a beautiful, wonderful, soul stopping- and unavailable- friend who comes through for her better than she could have hoped. But he’s not done surpassing her wildest dreams.
Resilience by Sereia13/@sereia1313
Explicit | Modern AU | Complete Summary: Refusing to be a charity case after his father kicks him out, Inuyasha relents to Kagome helping him find a job and a place to live, unknowingly finding her own path to self-discovery--and love.
Morning Makeup by mynightshining/@mynightshining
General | Modern Era Canon | Complete Summary: Sesshoumaru allows his son to do his makeup on an important day.
Rainbow's End by Sage McMae/@sagemcmae, Sereia13/@sereia1313, & thetroll
Custom Toonami Block Week 162 Rundown
Spy X Family: It’s the start of a new arc and it’s kind of a breath of fresh air to get to see Yor’s job for a change with her weird flower garden handler dude. She’s actually assigned guard duty for once instead of murder like idk I’d think if you’re a hitman organization you’d have separate people for guarding and murder because there’s a lot of intricacies that make those jobs very different if you’re a specialist but I guess having Yor fucking murder someone on a cruise ship would be kind of a downer. But yeah Yor has to protect the wife and kid of a murdered mob boss from the current head of the mob that wants to extinguish any threat to his leadership which it’s been a while but I think this may be the plot to Katekiyo Hitman Reborn. By a stupid fucking coincidence Anya finds a lotto game and gets stupidly lucky finding the only way a telepath could possibly cheat a drawing lots and wins a ticket on the exact same cruise. I guess it makes more sense than Yor’s assassin organization being like ‘oh yeah bring the family, let them watch you break someone’s spine for a mob boss’ but it’s still a ridiculous coincidence. Meanwhile Yor’s debating giving up the murder lifestyle now that she doesn’t have to take care of Yuri anymore and has a financially stable domestic life where she could probably just be a legitimate clerk and be fine. It’s kind of weird because Yor never seems to have a problem with murdering people or ever question if the people they send her after deserve it at all but she kinda just wants out because it’s… unsightly? Like she has no qualms about devaluing human life for an organization that’s almost certainly a partisan interest group and convincing herself she’s only killing bad people even though the likelihood of her committing a murder a week since she was 14 and every single one being 100% deserving of death is next to impossible but her qualm is that she just doesn’t need to anymore and she can pretend she’s not freakshow strong and be a normie, idk maybe she DOES feel bad about it but they sure don’t present it that way. Either way they make it onto the ship and shenanigans ensue, they actually do a pretty good job of humanizing the mob wife and illustrating the quiet sadness she has about trying to protect the only family she has left and being ridiculously powerless to do anything about her situation and confiding in Yor while they kinda bond over mom stuff, it’s good shit. It’s short-lived however as we get the reveal that the guy who’s after them has bugs everywhere and has just picked up Yor and her conversation that confirms the baby’s named after one of the previous family members, giving away their location.
Inuyasha: So this one’s another filler episode of little consequence about Rin questioning her place in a world of humans while being more comfortable around demons. This makes sense considering the demons she’s mostly around are Jaken, Sesshomaru and A-Un and the humans she most deeply remembers are the bandits that… WAIT A MINUTE! This episode claims bandits raided her village and killed her, but that was KOGA! Are we whitewashing Koga’s crimes now that he’s a main cast member? I mean I guess she did also see her parents being killed by bandits before that but given a demon was the one that actually physically killed her you’d think that’d kinda balance out the ‘demons good, humans bad’ scale to a more neutral place. Either way the reason this episode is a little more interesting is because of its effect on the end of the series and Yashahime since Sesshomaru does get it in his head that Rin shouldn’t be with him if she doesn’t want to be and gives her the choice to follow him ‘if she wants’ at the end of the episode and at the end of the series makes her go live with humans a while to give it a try despite her saying in this episode she’ll never live with humans again. I know Sesshomaru gets a lot of shit for how he handles things with Rin and just how weird it is that he’s known her since she was little and still fucks her but there’s also like a 150 year age gap between Inuyasha and Kagome no one talks about and not saying it’s not weird but if you absolutely HAVE to do a plot like this I think Sesshomaru does everything he can to get around the grooming allegations and give Rin an idea of what life is like without him, not necessarily saying that’s even a possibility when the idolation is that strong but an attempt was made. Kinda jumping all over here but I also like the humans that try to convince Rin to come back, like I like when the side characters of the week are a random duo/troupe of monks that just have normal spiritual powers and can do shit, I think it’s kinda cool to see someone besides the main cast on the level of being able to take out mid-tier demons. Also Jaken talks about how Rin will most likely be dead before Sesshomaru can form an empire because it’ll take hundreds of years but also like… is that even something Sesshomaru wants? He seems to just be fucking around at this point, like Jaken’s right about Sesshomaru wanting personal power initially with the Tessaiga and ultimately attaining it with the Bakusaiga but he does not seem like the kind of guy that could be assed to actually command an empire, I think Jaken’s just projecting a glorious goal onto his master here, like maybe at one point Sesshomaru’s like ‘yeah it’d be cool to be a king I guess’ and then forgot about it like a hundred years ago and Jaken’s just carrying around that idea this whole time idk. Also this is a New Moon episode for some reason, like only to keep Inuyasha out of a fight with the monks and to stop him from jumping out when Sesshomaru clashes with the monks and mucking up his deliberate decision not to kill them like it’s a really weird choice to throw a new moon episode in here of all places. But yeah, kind of a bog-standard filler episode about Rin re-affirming her devotion to Sesshomaru but watching it again knowing how the rest of the series goes is kind of interesting.
Yu Yu Hakusho: This one wisely has more focus than the past few and hones in on just Kurama’s fight with Shigure. Kurama decides that he’s tired of his Yugioh two souls in one body deal and decides only one fox spirit alter ego is coming out of this fight alive or zero are. He calls his mom before the fight who tells him the cherry blossom tree in front of their house is blooming and hope he’ll be home to see it soon. It’s really funny that the Demon World Tournament has like these big mushroom biome arenas and yet they still start them in these tiny world tournament stage deals for no reason, like leaving them doesn’t matter and they always get blown up in the first attack so like what’s the point. Shigure gets to show off some more high-octane moves than the one second fight he and Hiei had and it’s pretty cool but Kurama spends the whole fight wishy-washy about not wanting to let Yoko out despite basically fully mastering and integrating him in the previous two arcs so it’s kind of a dumb fight of Kurama holding himself back for no reason. Still apparently he planted seeds on this exact spot thousands of years ago so now he can use Wood Style and does a clever move to disarm Shigure who’s just like ‘I’m not turning into a fucking jobber for these main cast pricks’ and jumps off a fucking cliff after complimenting Kurama’s flowers which look just like the cherry blossoms his mom was talking about which is a nice touch, a win for his human side and all that. But at the end of the fight Kurama still tells Yomi he’s not forsaking Yoko entirely and it’s just like… THEN WHY DID WE JUST DO THAT!? YOU ALMOST DIED! They kinda go back and forth a lot with Kurama about whether Yoko is a part of himself he can accept and change or a crutch he has to learn to live without and it’s kind of wishy-washy and this episode certainly doesn’t clear things up.
Jujutsu Kaisen: We’re finally back in the present and we have a nice cooldown episode to get re-acquainted with our technically main characters. It’s a nice little fluff slice of life deal to ease us in because I hear the Shibuya arc is rough. Nobara runs into a girl that had a crush on Yuji in middle school and helps her figure out if she has a shot now that she has marketable moe anime looks. It’s really kinda funny for how much the series sells the main trio as good friends that she has to call up Megumi even to check out if Yuji has a girlfriend, like you’d think that’d come up with all the time they all spend together. Though at the same time I also love their dynamic because it’s just like 100% platonic ballbusting all the time and they make it very clear there’s no cheap love triangles around here. We also get Yuji just kinda being a doll because he recognizes the girl right away and it able to see to a person’s core despite any physical changes. The girl even gets her own little mini character development by saying the reason she liked Yuji was because he liked her first and her most important criteria is finding someone that wanted her which is like really fair bro, sometimes the most attractive thing a person can be is receptive and passionate. But she also recognizes that she only has the confidence to pursue him now because she has the physical attractiveness that everyone derided her for not having before so it’s a complex little chestnut about our relationship to our appearances and how that relates to confidence versus unfair beauty standards and it’s kinda neat because it also doesn’t really come down on one side or the other, it’s just teen angst which sometimes is what happens. The rest of the episode is trying to track down the mole in one of the schools (is it just me or is that a thing in a lot of shonen lately? I know MHA had a big arc about it too). And yeah no surprise it’s Mechamaru who’s feeding info to Mahito and Geto in exchange for Mahito fixing his body but they’re all just kind of sick of each others’ shit too (I really don’t remember the reason I think just cause they’re evil) and immediately start fighting once he’s fixed. Though it’s revealed he’s been working on a SECRET GUNDAM and it uses all the time he spent as a glass bones and paper skin guy as fuel for huge attacks which is pretty cool if terribly unsustainable. Like I’ve seen enough shonen fights to know the guy that does the ‘I can only use this attack X number of times and it kill me’ is definitely going to be using all of those attacks or dying or some shit. Best case scenario he’s able to blow up the Gundam and get word to Gojo about the whole Shibuya thing and enter Cursed Witness Protection Plan Special Puppets Unit but I don’t think he’s gonna make it out of here alive considering he’s going up against the two main villains using his literal life force as fuel, prolly gonna have a death fight but get enough energy out to get a message out with his dying breath or something.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off: It’s kind of a round-up episode where the pieces of Ramona’s investigation get together. Though first we get a really adorable montage of Gorideon Groose and Lucas just kinda chilling out and when Julie comes back and shouts that it’s only been ninety fucking minutes I laughed so hard like I’m kinda glad they play that gag twice because it’s the perfect amount of time like it’s not absurdly short to assume they did all that video gaming and halfpipe building and sbit but it’s still way less time than all that should’ve taken it’s like a perfectly paced moment of comedy. Julie essentially clear Gideon by giving his backstory and saying he’s basically a NEET now though he himself confirms he is still planning something after she leaves but is still kind of a NEET. Ramona finally sees the weird robot that’s been running around and it’s… a vegan robot? Like aren’t all robots vegan unless you’re actively programming them to eat and feeding them meat? Like I guess that’s the joke but it’s like… really? But yeah she meets up with Scott’s friends to give her big Sherlock speech about how she was cucking both Twins at once which is like idk if I can call them ‘crimes’ exactly but the evidence that Ramona was a fucking weird manipulative person just keeps piling up and I get the feeling in the original series this was supposed to be Scott confronting her sins and flaws and loving her anyway but her it just seems like she’s confessing and giving a general idea that she’s changed but not nearly enough evidence to suggest she actually has given for how much time she’s known Scott I get the feeling she’s kinda more in love with mystery sleuthing than him at this point but okay. But yeah they also mention that the word doc for Young Neil’s script of the original series/movie written by the Vegan Robot was dated for the future, somewhere around Today Times I think and then Scott just kinda appears outside the door and says he’s the one behind all this and I’m assuming he means Future Scott which if this turns out to be Eighth Evil Ex Evil Future Scott Pilgrim I’d kinda appreciate that twist, like give us an idea that this idyllic romance may not always work out but there’s still hope for it in this timeline or something.
Ranking of Kings: We get Snake Guy’s backstory about how he wasn’t as strong as the other Big Four guys and he went to Despa to get trained which is why he was able to give Bojji the go-ahead to train there as well which is a neat little touch and we do get to see how a more standard training arc under Despa would go as he gets Snake Guy into his natural fighting style and weapon and he does eventually reach the heights of the others. The other short is about Daida trying to get the Big Four to get along because they’re unnaturally petty towards each other after beating Bosse and it just kinda comes out of nowhere because they weren’t like that before. Kirito sets them up with a guy who’s really good at arm wrestling despite them all being stronger than him and he kicks their asses but they’re able to unite their techniques and pool what they learned about arm wrestling from their matches to beat him which is cool, nice subversion of the ‘strong guys are just good at every physical activity’. Kirito mentions that they only seem to get along when they have a common enemy which just kinda seems petty idk, feels like they should get over that and it was a flaw invented just to make the episode work.
Vinland Saga: Thorfinn and Einar are working their field and come to the conclusion that they need a horse, but since they’re slaves and everyone hates their guts, no one will lend them a horse except this old man who strings them along with general chores for a while but eventually they do get a horse and get their field up and running which is nice. They find out the old guy is actually the dad of the farm owner and he insists on still working, presumably because he initially started the farm and is shown to place a lot of value on working to earn food (also he mentions he’s Norse idk if that’s relevant later or not) and it’s actually kind of a cool character study that he’s kinda really grateful to Thorfinn and Einar for their help because it allows him to still stay independent despite the farm owner always asking him to come home and stop working. Also he’s the same old guy we saw Snake mooching off of for his intro episode and they’re surprisingly close in the bickering old family members kind of way and Snake hangs out to make sure he doesn’t push himself too hard. They have a brief discussion of the fallacy of hording wealth and then spending it to protect it and Snake gently alludes to the idea of wanting to hire Thorfinn as a guard. Still they both treat the pair of slaves as equals and the two go home with Thorfinn getting another point added to his ‘understanding basic human shit’ skill sheet and their farm keeps progressing nicely.
  Now this。。。 wasn’t what Mukuro was expecting, she’s turned this particular corner dozens of times before, or at least, she’s pretty sure she has。 Not only was she now faced with a mansion she hadn’t come across before now, but there was something。。。 odd about the place。 It wasn’t the same sort of。。。 vibe that she got with the human abodes, this one was more powerful, if she had to describe it。 But this was the way she was directed to go, but what started as a bit of a stake-out assassin job now turned to。。。 well, whatever the hell is happening now。
Tumblr media
  Mukuro was on high alert as she’d begin to traverse a little deeper into the compound, and over time the sense became more and more familiar to her。 They were yōkai, like her。 Which now made her even more curious as to how she only found out about this now。
How To Tame A Sorcerer (59)
Series Master list
Tumblr media
"Ya know, back in my day," Shippo drawls, head tilting towards Nanami. "There were a lot more orgies on Halloween. It's a damn shame that people today just want to spend their time digging up dead bodies when they could be getting their thrills fucking a demon or three." Shippo shrugs, shakes his head, and mutters about how backwards society is these days.
Nanami curls his lips back in disgust.
Satoru pinches the bridge of his nose and bites his tongue. What he is not going to do is laugh at Shippo's antics.
There is a time and place for everything, he reminds himself.
If his old man could see him now… Eh, on second thought, he probably would've hated his old man if he knew him. Probably a good thing he is dead. Satoru crosses his fingers behind his back. He hopes his little ankle biter does not think the same about him.
"Who are you?" Nanami asks, crossing his arms over his chest. He has bags under his eyes that are darker than normal. The recent events must be taking a toll on the poor ex salary man turned sorcerer. For now, the station is relatively quiet. The medical team made quick work of retrieving Mechamaru and Miwa's bodies. Only a few civilians were traumatized. Not too bad, in Satoru's opinion.
"Shippo, Gome-chan's adopted son." Satoru pats Shippo's head and rustles with his hair. Shippo bares his teeth up at him, which just makes Satoru smile even more. Nothing like pissing Shippo off to start off his work day. "And I guess now my son by default. Heh, that means you have to listen to what I say, Shippo-chan." Satoru pokes Shippo's cheek with his other hand, laughing at Shippo's half-hearted attempts to swipe at him.
Sue him, the fox is growing on him. Though Yakeru still pisses him off. That fox only gives Kagome straight answers.
"I'm so sick of your bullshit." Nanami turns on his heel and walks out of the station. Satoru frowns. Why does Nanami never believe him? Sure, he's played a couple of pranks here and there, but he's actually serious this time.
Ugh, whatever. Nanami will be back telling him how wrong he was for not believing in him. Err, maybe not. Nanami would probably cut off his own tongue before admitting such a thing.
Honestly, at this point, it is just rude.
"I think you pissed him off," Shippo quips.
"Nah, that's just how Nanami shows how much he cares for me." Satoru drops his hand and presses his lips into a firm line. "Now what the hell is going on?" Shippo was supposed to be working his actual job today, and yet here he is. Speaking of actual jobs, what the hell does Shippo do? It seems like every day he's there with him at work, making commentary, picking up a couple missions here and there, but never pressed for time.
"Sesshomaru is on his way over. Said the air didn't feel right today." Shippo shrugs. "There's been some unrest lately on our side of the tracks." Shippo pulls out a sucker from his pocket, all casual, as though he isn't dropping a bombshell on him. Shippo hums and starts walking, following the path Nanami took. His red hair is stark against the green jacket and denim jeans.
Seriously, what the hell does Shippo do for him to be dressed so casually all the time? Even he wears a uniform for work.
"Kagome is not to come here. He should know not to bring her here if there is trouble brewing." So, help him if Sesshomaru brings Kagome to the battlefield. A battle with Sesshomaru may cause some casualties, but that's a risk he'll take.
"Relax, he's not gonna bring her here. InuYasha gets to spend the day taking her around Tokyo or wherever." Shippo waves as if blowing off his concerns. Like they are nothing more than trivial. "At least it's not Koga showing her around. Then you'd have to rescue her from some cave. The wolves love her."
His heart plummets to his feet. Letting InuYasha into his home to have a conversation is one thing. Letting InuYasha take Kagome around town is a whole other thing. Who the hell is supervising this outing?
"Why would anyone need to supervise them? Jealous?" Shippo's green eyes glint with mischief, tail swishing faster. "Scared InuYasha is going to remind her of all the good times they had?" Shippo chortles.
Shit. He didn't mean to say that out loud.
"Come on," he says, taking the lead. Mentally, he berates himself for allowing his guard to drop. Shippo is still a demon, a fox one at that, and showing any kind of emotion must be like an aphrodisiac to them. It's a wonder that Kagome is still so nice when she's surrounded by such blood thirsty creatures.
Not that he's any better. You have to have some screws loose to do this kind of job, but he would like to believe that he is slightly less blood thirsty than them.
"You smell that?" Shippo crunches his sucker and sticks the rest into his pocket. At least he isn't littering. A woman giggles as she passes by Shippo, who winks at her as she walks by.
"Smell what?" Satoru sniffs, though all he can smell is the distinct smell of too many people bunched together and the various smells of coffee shops and food places alike. The day is, for what it's worth, nice out. Sunny, but not the humid that makes him want to go back home.
Scratch that, everything makes him want to go back and home and spend time with Kagome. With so much horrible shit he sees daily, going home to someone as bright as her is like coming across a buffet after a long fast.
"Blood." Shippo sighs, his shoulders sagging with the motion as though the scent of blood is such a bother to him. "A lot of it. Want to do a countdown until all hell breaks loose?"
"… No?" Satoru ranks a hand through his hair and discreetly tries to smell the air. Nope. Still can't smell this blood Shippo is going on about.
"One." Shippo holds up a finger, a maniacal grin on his face. Shippo's tail swishes back and forth. Another woman walks by and giggles.
Satoru reaches for his phone and dials Yaga's number. Better to be cautious. If it turns out to be nothing, then he could just make up a joke.
"Two." Shippo points two fingers towards the west.
People start running. Yaga picks up on the second ring. The screams mingle together to create a harmony of chaos. His ears are hurting from the screams.
"Three." Shippo presses three fingers to his lips and pretends to be shocked.
A demon the size of a small building bursts from the west, flames licking at his body as he bellows. A handful of humans in both hands, blood dripping down his arms. Parts of a building hang limply from its curved horns, and he is as green as the small patches of grass by Satoru's feet.
"Gojo? Gojo? The hell did you call me for?" Yaga's voice rings out, but another explosion draws his attention to the north.
"Aw, man, I didn't sense that one."
Satoru shoots Shippo a look, though with his eyes covered, the look is wasted. "We got bigger problems at Shibuya." He hangs up. "Sesshomaru say when he was coming by?"
There are too many civilians around. It would be easier if they were in a more secluded area like out in the country where he could just use his domain expansion or not worry about civilians getting in the way. Shippo could get hurt, but he's sure Kagome would understand.
"Nah, just said he be by." Shippo shrugs and fiddles with his pocket.
"Alright, so what you going to hit them with a rose whip?" Satoru aims a red reversal at the large demon. Not that he has to aim too hard with how big of a target that thing is.
"Rose whip?" Shippo sounds scandalized. "I'll have you know I am a sophisticated fighter. That is a silver fox move." Shippo sniffs and pulls out a spinner.
This fox cannot be serious. That's how he's been taking down special grades? With a child's toy?
A person runs towards them, screaming from the flames burning away at their clothes, and collapses at their feet. The smell of burned flesh is one that he will never get over.
"It's never too late to go back to having orgies for Halloween," Shippo sing songs, tossing his spinner at a disfigured human. The spinner gets bigger until it spins out of control and goes after the next disfigured human. Satoru slides his blindfold off. One demon is one thing, two is an annoyance, but curses mixed in to the mix are just pissing him off now.
"Gojo! What the hell?" Nanami comes running towards them, knocking back any poor cursed human that gets in his way. Well, poor might not be the right word to describe the cursed humans. Putting them out of their misery is the humane thing to do.
"Ooh, I'm so happy you are still alive Nanami!" Shippo chirps, recalling his spinner that is now back to normal size. For his part, Nanami doesn't even twitch at Shippo's comment. "I bet Kagome could help those humans if she was here, but maybe not. It is an annoying amount of them."
"I don't know. I called Yaga for backup." Satoru bites back a groan. "Tell me those are not giant insects and the answer is no, Shippo, Kagome is not coming here to maybe purify some cursed humans."
Cool, he's got disfigured humans that look exactly like the sorcerers from the Exchange event, so one of the disaster curses is probably here. He's got more demons popping up, fucking up the building structures, and now there are giant insects swarming everywhere.
It feels like a free for all. Now all he needs is a bunch of wannabes soldiers joining in.
"Is this your doing?" Nanami turns on Shippo and points at the chaos. Not even a single strand of hair is out of place. Satoru can't help but wonder what kind of gel Nanami uses to keep his hair in place like that. There's not even a speck of blood on Nanami's coat. If he didn't have his infinity, Satoru might be a just tad bit jealous.
"Please, I'm a fox." Shippo dusts off his jacket and pulls out another sucker, unconcerned about all the innocent people running around them. "As if I would work with some curses," Shippo mutters under his breath.
"That means—"
"He's Kagome's son. He wouldn't do this." Satoru takes a step forward, needing to do more action and less talking. They do not have time to wait for reinforcements. He cannot go all out because of all the civilians in the way, but the lives he can save, he will. "I have trust in Gome-chan. Shippo wouldn't do something to like this."
"Stop it, I might tear up," Shippo yells out after him. "Wait, can you stop and pose? I want to take a picture of this moment."
Satoru sticks his middle finger up in response.
"There are people dying," Nanami scolds.
"There are always people dying. You humans need to get your shit together," Shippo retorts.
Just once, he would like a holiday where shit does not go down. An insect casually picks up a small child, yanking the boy from his mother, who screams hysterically and tries to hold on, but loses her grip.
Sigh. He must be asking for too much.
star wars au?
Hello, Anon! While we as a fandom love Star Wars AU's as a concept, unfortunately, there isn't a lot of fleshed-out fanfiction featuring InuKag as the main pairing. We've listed a few below, along with some Space/Star Wars Adjacent fics and hope you'll find something you love. Happy Reading! 💓
Tumblr media
[Star Wars AU]
Irredeemable by @boflicker & @anisaanisa (M)
Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, an orphaned scavenger uncovers a lost relic buried in the sands of Jakku. Thrust into a great war that threatens to destroy everything, he must choose: run from his destiny or face his greatest foe, the infamous leader of the First Order.
But Inuyasha quickly learns war is not as simple as good versus evil, and buried below every mask lives secrets untold.
--
Star Wars AU - Ep.1 by @sankontesu (Not Rated)
 Sleep was not something Inuyasha was familiar with for long.
--
[Space AU]
Kairos by @witchygirl99 (T)
The demon was trying to claw her open.
Closing her eyes, Kagome took a risk. She slammed her hand into the side of its head and whispered, “Sleep.” Her will was strong, vibrant, pulsating in the air. It took one second for the demon to sway, and Kagome unwrapped herself just in time for it to collapse to the ground. She breathed in deep and centred herself, drawing her will back into hiding.
But when she looked up, Inuyasha Taisho was already there.
Even through the visor, he looked absolutely murderous.
--
Aurum Orbis by @boflicker (E)
“Have—have you seen anything like this??”
A lithe figure bent, squinting as she brushed along a golden round plaque.
“Never,” grunted another crouching beside her, their helmets carelessly floating along an impromptu cargo bay, stacked heavily with metal scraps of broken ships.
Wide Mahogany eyes met gold.
“Is this alien?”
--
No Defense by @dawnrider (E)
A new world, a new life. Kagome is working to homestead her land on the relatively new human colony on Terra. Far from Earth, alone, she is determined to build the life her father wanted for her family. Kagome thought she was ready to meet new races from planets she had never even heard of yet. She was not ready for a silver haired, golden eyed, fanged man to pop up unexpectedly on the edge of her land.
--
Objects in Space by @elkonigin (T)
“This is Captain Higurashi of the Alliance ship, Shin-ryoku, and I think--I think something terrible has happened.”
--
A Heart's Abduction by @lemonlushff (E)
She was a normal girl. She had a normal life. Some might have even called it boring. That was until she was hit over the head and woke up dazed and confused on an alien spaceship. Now she's the key to helping the Inu Youkai win an intergalactic war…whether she's dead or alive.
--
Final Frontier by @ruddcatha (M)
The year is 2376. Inuyasha Taisho has been reassigned as the new Tactical Officer to the USS Nobunaga under... Captain Sesshomaru? Join to see how the members of the Inuyasha Crew will handle a long term science and exploration mission as it takes a darker and more dangerous turn. (on hiatus)
--
[Star Wars Adjacent]
The Hidden Hanyō by @fawn-eyed-girl (E)
Higurashi Kagome is the best bounty hunter in Musashi. She takes job after job after job, all in order to help pay off her family's debt.
So when her boss, Miroku, tells her that there's a bounty that would wipe out her debt, she jumps at the chance. Even though Miroku says she shouldn't take the job.
Because the job is for a mysterious and dangerous yōkai, who is searching for a hanyō who went missing fifty years ago.
A hanyō that, it turns out, only Higurashi Kagome can find. Because the hanyō is Kagome's soulmate.
So now, Kagome is faced with an impossible choice: turn him in, collect the bounty, and save her family... Or take him and run.
Which will she choose?
Re-reading my own fic + reaction
Once upon a time, back when Yashahime was airing, I posted a few chapters of my sessrin fic titled 'Ice King, Icing' on AO3. I eventually ran out of steam, life got in the way (as it always does) plus I had some negative experiences within the fandom which got to me.
It's been at least a year since I last touched it, and I barely remember the plot.
So now that I've got my laptop back, it's time for a reread with fresh eyes. Let's see if it's any good!
Chapter 1:
Okay, I'm recalling the story a little now. The end result is a lot better than I thought it was at the time, I put a lot of research into everything (and I needed to, because I know nothing about 90% of the things I was writing about here). I enjoyed reading the worldbuilding just as much as I enjoyed writing and imagining it. This chapter shows glimpses of a modern world where humans and youkai coexist, and how they manage to do it.
While writing, I was worried the setting descriptions may be too much, but it feels just right to me as a reader. There's just a LOT of effort that went into this chapter and I'm glad it shows.
I feel like I should have more criticism for this chapter but somehow I don't. So here's the fun fact of the chapter instead: Rin was originally supposed to work at the cafe Kagome and Sango go to! The original draft had a more detailed description of the cafe for that reason, but I scrapped it and gave her a normal office job because it didn't feel right. I still wanted the cafe to have a personal connection to one of the characters, so I had Kohaku design it instead.
Chapter 2:
So some interesting plot points are introduced in this chapter. This story was basically based on three what ifs- what if Sesshomaru's good side came out before he met Rin? What if he didn't give Rin the choice to travel with him, and sent her away instead? And what if we still had time travel in this modern AU?
This is where the story and Sesshomaru and Rin's relationship deviates from canon. I love canon, obviously, but I was so intrigued by these questions. So Ice King, Icing was born, lol.
I also wanted Rin to roast Sess
I don't have any complaints for this chapter either. I caught a couple of grammatical errors, but shh. Also I was clearly having so much fun writing it.
Fun fact of the chapter: Kagome still has her purification powers and is still a reincarnation of Kikyo. But Inuyasha and Kikyo are inconsequential characters to each other here. Kagome is from the year 2318, and travelled 300 years in the past- to 2018- which is the year this story is set.
Chapter 3:
Another chapter where I was worried the descriptions and story of Rin's life may be too much, but it wasn't. Homegirl is out here living the life we can only dream of :')
We finally get a good chunk of Sess POV here, and the characterization is satisfactory. Again, big sigh of relief- he was SO difficult to write. I also had an evil chuckle reading Rin's flashbacks and Kaede's worries that her childhood saviors may have found her again- yes, lady, that's THE POINT. We are HERE for some hurt/comfort. Also eviler chuckling at my past self for managing to sneak in some Captain America trio references.
This reread is turning out a lot better than I expected. I'm really enjoying this a lot!
Fun fact of the chapter: The subject line of Jaken's email seems to reference the kdrama 'A Business Proposal', but Ice King Icing did it first :) (chapter posted in April 2021, drama released in 2022)
Chapter 4:
Kagome to the rescue! That's all I'll say ;)
Okay no. I shouldn't be surprised at how much I enjoyed reading this chapter, again, the whole fic is a banger. It has everything I want in a sessrin fic- not surprising, because I wrote it myself. I remember writing the balcony scene and Sesshomaru's realization and giggling to myself at how hilarious it was. Plot forcing them to spend time together by making him hide her from his father= a romcom classic that I'll never get tired of.
Fun fact of the chapter (and mild spoiler): the mystery girl that has been following Kagome will be revealed in the next chapter, along with her motives.
Conclusion:
As I said in the chapter notes, this fic isn't abandoned. I've just gone on hiatus from all my fics for a while because irl is taking up all my time and energy. I enjoyed writing this fic a lot though, and I will definitely update and try to complete it. Just not sure when.
Now to get Kikyo personally mad at me (as is my job in life), has she ever had any sexual fantasies about Sesshomaru? If so-- what are they? Asking for me. I'm curious.
SEND ❓+ A QUESTION AND MY MUSE HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO ANSWER TRUTHFULLY || @fightingthetides
Tumblr media
"......"
Tumblr media
Were her porcelain cheeks quite reddened ? Yes. The audacity of such a question would make anyone blush, more so one who leaned towards the conservative and somewhat prudish spectrum. Not that there was anything wrong in having sexual appetites. It was completely healthy and normal. And yet, it was one thing to discuss in a professional role and another, to pry into her personal preferences. The former she can do without so much as a stutter, but the latter..that was very much different. Particularly as it was coming from someone that was not Sesshomaru.
Such a topic was only appropriate to discuss with the daiyokai..should it ever arise--when it arise. Hmph.
"Unless your name is Sesshomaru, I do not believe this topic is appropriate for your ears.", she finally replied, her irritation lightly infused into her tone.
"But very well..the answer is yes..to a certain degree. I am not that familiar, knowledgeable or experienced in this department. I never really looked into it except for the occasional curiosity due to what colleagues may have mentioned..", she admitted, brushing a few strands of hair off her neck.
"Be that as it may.." Kikyou exhaled slowly, in an attempt to subdue her rapid heartbeat and flushed cheeks. "Being dominated beneath the moonlight with his mokomoko wrapped around me is one..His familiar features plain to see..from the markings on his cheeks to the crescent moon on his forehead." It was fitting seeing as both found a sense of comfort from the moon, among other things. "Feeling his fangs on my skin, the wind in our hair..the sweet smell of the grass in the air." Naturally it would be a very private and intimate location, free from prying eyes. Being marked by him under the tree he took her to..sparked this particular fantasy.
"Use of ribbons..or silk as restraints..in our intimate sessions.." Television as vulgar as it could be..at least introduced a few things she otherwise may have gone without hearing about--such as mild bondage. "It goes without saying that..riling up my beloved and taking charge for as long as possible is something that I also entertain. It may not last long but..a woman can try, can she not~?" Tease him enough until even his admirable restraint and discipline is put to the test--or better yet, snap.
"Spontaneity--taken..roughly against the wall with one of his famous, rare smirks..I believe that is more than enough to quell your curiosity." Kikyou was admittedly quite warm--and needed to go cool herself off now.
2022 InuSessweek
@inusessweek @snowinjuly-creator
June 25
Royalty AU
By Gayle Nightingale
.
Prince Sesshomaru stood on the balcony of the castle and waved at the waiting crowd. A roar of excitement rose as soon as he came in sight. When he waved the sound tripled and echoed off the walls. He noticed a guardsman even had to grab the parapet so he wouldn’t fall off. Sesshomaru attempted to smile like his mother had told him, but, honestly, he didn’t feel like it. The small smile had been seen and several maidens had fainted. He waved once more and reentered the castle.
Once inside he rolled his eyes. This was the third “meet and wave” he had done this week. He couldn’t believe his mother and father wanted him to participate in these ridiculous spectacles. The people didn’t care about him just his role as crown prince. He just wanted to escape and be a normal teenager, but his parents wanted him to be seen and start looking for a mate.
He didn’t want to be seen.
He didn’t want a mate.
He didn’t even want the crown.
He just wanted to be free.
He looked about his room and found a traveling cloak.
He took a walk and found his pet dragon A-Un.
“A-Un, I don’t want to get married. I’d rather play first. There’s so much to see and do.”
A-Un nuzzled his heads under the prince’s hands.
“I’m going outside the castle wall. Don’t follow me.” Sesshomaru whispered lovingly to his dragon.
The dragon whimpered.
Prince Sesshomaru donned the traveling hooded cloth and jumped over the wall.
--
In the market a beggar boy named Inuyasha, and his pet fox Shippo searched for scraps of food. To survive they had developed many slights of hand tricks. They were employing one of those tricks just as a distracted prince bounced into them.
Several apples rolled to the ground from inside Inuyasha’s cloak.
“Oh, you have dropped your apples,” the prince said. “Allow me to help you pick them up.”
“Forget it,” whispered Inuyasha. “Shippo, we’ve been found out. we must run!”
All about them shop keepers yelled. “Thefts! Stop them!”
Inuyasha grabbed Sesshomaru’s hand and ran!
After a hair-raising chase through the marketplace and a near capture, Shippo, Inuyasha, and Sesshomaru relaxed in Inuyasha’s hideout. Laughing they shared the one apple they “liberated”.
Sesshomaru laughed freely. This is what he dreamed off. Having a friend or two to play with.
Inuyasha had been laying on his back. He rolled over and wiped the juice from his chin with his hand and then pointed to the castle in the distance.
“What a place! Can you imagine being sultan?” Inuyasha said dreamily.
“I try not to,” sighed Sesshomaru. “The job doesn’t appeal to me.” But the others didn’t hear him because Shippo was laughing. Pointing to Inuyasha, he snorted, “Imagine you at Sultan! Ha! Ha! Ha!”
Inuyasha bounced up, hands on hips and called out, “Hey! I can be dignified and stuff.”
Shippo was rolling on the floor by this point. He couldn’t speak.
Inuyasha frowned. He looked toward Sesshomaru. “I could, you know. If I was given the chance.” As he finished his sentence, his voice fell silent.
Sesshomaru looked at him.
“Why would you want to be the sultan? Stuck in the castle? Unable to see anything you wanted?”
Inuyasha paused, but then replied, “I wouldn’t starve then.”
The boys sat silently considering each other’s thoughts.
A bit later, Inuyasha asked, “Do I need to walk you home? I know we ran away from the market. I think I should at least get you back to your neighborhood. Won’t your mom and dad be worried?”
Sesshomaru considered his question. “Probably, but I’d like to walk around a little first. Can you show me the town?”
“Absolutely,” smiled Inuyasha. “Inuyasha, travel agent and tour guide, at your service.”
The three boys slid down the clothing lines to the street below. They wandered through the streets and parks, stopping to play and watch people. They kicked a can for several streets until someone threw water on them. Laughing they ran. A group of kids was playing street baseball, so they stopped to join them. When Inuyasha went to bat he hit the ball so hard it went out into the main street.
Sesshomaru ran after it and nearly got run over by a horse and carriage.
A mounted policeman dashed over and grabbed him by the shoulder and started to scream at him for darting into traffic and scaring a wealthy noble.
Inuyasha had run as fast as he could to get to Sesshomaru’s side.
“Let go of him,” Inuyasha yelled as he bit and kicked at the guard.
Another couple of guards joined the first and soon the two boys were captured, bound and led down the street to the castle guard building just outside the castle gates. Shippo followed close behind but hidden from everyone’s view.
The marching of the two boys had led to an impromptu parade. Many older people chatted loudly to each other.
“What is it?” one would call.
“Bad boys,” came back the answer.
“Bet the hangman will be busy,” another yelled.
And so, the chatter continued all the way to the castle gate.
Inuyasha stuck out his chest bravely, but he was afraid. Shippo was crying. Inuyasha could smell his tears. He just wanted to comfort his friend. He had always protected the younger kit from the evils of the world. He puffed up his chest fuller. If dying with pride was the last lesson he had to teach Shippo, he would do it to the best of his ability.
Sesshomaru, unaware of Inuyasha’s concerns, was feed up with this horrible treatment from the castle guards.
As soon as they reached the gates and the captain of the guard came out to see what the noise was about, Sesshomaru threw back his hood and called out in his loudest voice,
“STOP THIS NOW!”
All the guards stood up straight and looked toward the authoritative voice. As soon as they saw the white-haired prince, they went down on one knee. The guard leading Sesshomaru dropped the rope like it was on fire.
Sesshomaru marched over to the captain of the guard.
“Is this what constitutes justice in this kingdom? A child nearly gets ran over by a carriage and the police arrest him and drag him through the streets?! Another tries to safe his friend and he is arrested and threated with murder?! I will be speaking to my parents immediately! Let go of my friend Inuyasha!
“But my Lord, he is the theft that terrorizes the marketplace,” the captain countered.
“And my father, your King, is the judge that hears and adjudicates these cases. Come Inuyasha, Shippo. It’s time you meet my parents.”
The prince grabbed the hand of Inuyasha and pulled him through the gates. Shippo raced by and climbed up Inuyasha’s back to rest on his opposite shoulder. The fox looked around Inuyasha’s face at Sesshomaru.
“You’re the Prince?” Shippo stared jaw dropping open.
Inuyasha was quiet as he processed the news.
The prince had Inuyasha’s hand firmly in his. It was warm and strong. Inuyasha’s fear vanished. He had been Shippo’s hero, but now he had his own hero—Sesshomaru. He had a dazed look in his eyes and a goofy smile on his face.
Sesshomaru looked from Inuyasha to Shippo and back.
“I had a great time today. You showed me what was outside the walls of the castle. Allow me to show you what’s inside the walls. Let’s go see Father and Mother.” He pulled a little harder as he sped up. Soon the three boys were racing through the castle, sliding on waxed floors, and giggling happily.
They arrived at the sultan’s rooms and knocked politely.
A deep voice invited them in.
“Hi Father. Hi Mother. I made two new friends today!”
The king smiled warmly while the queen nodded.
“Welcome boys. Friends of Sesshomaru are welcome here.”
Introductions were made. Stories were exchanged. As the story about being led through the streets on a rope came out, Sesshomaru’s father stood and stormed off to the captain of the guard to instill some correction. Shortly after the queen found out the boys were orphaned. Immediately she wanted to adopt them. She called her servants, and all three boys were led off to get bathed and new clothes. The water fight that followed was one for the books.
That day was the first of many epic bathing water fights, and it was the beginning of a new life for Sesshomaru the lonely prince, Inuyasha the beggar, and Shippo the little orphan fox.
As the king and queen learned about their new adoptees, their eyes were opened to the problems of poverty and hunger in the kingdom. Throughout the remainder of their lives they devoted their efforts to provide for the underserved.
Prince Sesshomaru matured and accepted his rule as crown prince. Inuyasha had helped him see beyond the castle walls and showed him the value of involved leadership. From their initial friendship to the deep emotional bound they now shared, Sesshomaru realized that he would never find anyone as dear to him as Inuyasha. When it was time for him to court he shared these thoughts with Inuyasha. To his great relief Inuyasha felt the same way. The king and queen were thrilled, and the men were wed.
As time flew by, Shippo’s eye was caught by an adorable star-adorned female fox named Tsuki. The king and queen quickly approved the match, and the queen threw a huge wedding for them. In time they had dozens of children. The queen mother enjoyed doting over all her grandchildren and her grandchildren adored her. When she died, the country mourned her loss. The king passed shortly after that. Before he died, he passed his crown and scepter to Sesshomaru.
Sesshomaru and Inuyasha ruled the land fairly. The country enjoyed peace and prosperity. Their citizen were all feed and had places to live. In every way it was ideal. Additionally, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha loved each other deeply. As they aged, they grew closer together. On the day Sesshomaru breathed his last, Inuyasha’s heart broke. He stumbled to his mate’s side and lay down beside him. He had Shippo called to his side.
Breathing ragged and speech slow, Inuyasha whispered, “My time is short. Sesshomaru calls me and I yearn to be with him. We bequeath you with the throne. Watch over the people. We love you.”
Inuyasha grabbed his husband’s hand, closed his eyes and breathed his last.
The kingdom mourned but none as deeply as Shippo. His heroes were gone, but he was charged with their final request, to watch over the people.
Shippo carried out that charge to the end of his days. He earned nine tails and was indeed strong. Tsuki stood next him faithfully, earning her own nine tails. The power and strength of the two foxes radiated through the land.
From their thrones in the heavens Sesshomaru and Inuyasha reached down. Shippo and Tsuki looked up and ascended to the heavens. Their ascension was witnessed by many. After that they were worshipped as fox deities. They continued to watch over the people.
And that is one reason foxes are worshipped in certain countries
