Naruto: Y’know Sarada, I used to have the BIGGEST crush on your mom when we were kids!
Sarada: Really?! That’s so weird!
Sasuke, in another room, sensing there’s something wrong in the universe: Naruto, did you say something?
Naruto: Oh yeah, Sarada! I use to do so much stupid stuff to get her attention! Haha!
Sasuke, now in the room, listening to the loser: Why are you talking about MY wife?
Naruto: Oh I was just telling Sarada a little about the past!
Sasuke: Did you tell her the time you almost shit yourself in front of my wife when we were 12? Did you tell her that story?
Naruto, startled: H-huh? How do you know about that, you weren’t there!? And it’s a story! Why are you getting so defensive???
Sasuke, grumbling: MY wife.
Sarada, giggling at her jealous father

Gojo Satoru x Reader
!!Warning!! This is self-indulgent fic. Sort of teacher x student relationships. Age gap. Implied suggestive theme. Character death. Fluff. If you are not comfortable, please don’t read this. As a caution, Minor please don’t interact.
[Name] 5 years old
Gojo Satoru 16 years old
Geto Suguru 15 years old
Ieiri Shoko 16 years old
"Satoru." My head poked into the class from the opened sliding door.
"Ah! My cute [Name]-chan!" Satoru grinned as he quickly picked me up. He rubs his cheek to mine, causing me to giggle.
"Satoru, your glasses hurt." I complained.
"Don't worry. Pain, pain, flies away." He smooched my cheek.
"Satoru. Let her down." Suguru sighed at his antics.
"Nope. You are just jealous that [Name]-chan likes me more than you." Satoru planted me on his lap, while still hugging my small frame.
"Konbanwa, Suguru." I smiled.
"Konbanwa, [Name]-chan. How are you today?" Suguru smiled.
"Today, our teacher gave us homework." I excitedly started telling them my day.
"What kind of homework?" Suguru asked.
"Making a flower. I am going to make a lot." I spread my hand to express how many I would make. "I will give you one later, okay?"
"That's very kind of you. I will look forward to it."
"Nooo~. [Name]-chan. You won't give me a flower?" Satoru put his head on top of mine, whining.
"Silly Satoru. Of course I will give you one." I giggled.
"Promise?" He stuck out his pinkie.
"Promise." I warped my pinkie to his. ~"~
Suguru sighs while looking at his partner's antics. This little girl is the only one he showed affection openly. Usually he will tease, flirt or taunt the opposite gender. But, that's it. He never showed any interest in them. But, this little girl has him wrapped around her fingers.
'...Does that mean…' "Satoru…" The high school first grader called his friend.
"What?" Satoru replied but his thumb was still engaged in chicken fight with the little girl.
"...You won't lay your hand on her, right?"
"..." It took a while for his friend to process what he was asking. "The hell you are thinking." He made a disgusted face. He is fond of this girl and showers with affection. But he regards her as a precious little sister. Well, that might change in due time.
"As long as you know. That's fine." Suguru sighed in relief. ~"~
"What are you talking about?" I blinked up at the older teens.
"Nothing to worry about. So, what kind of flower are you going to give me?" Satoru asked.
"Secret. You will know when the time comes." I put a finger on my mouth, making a shushing motion.
"Eeehhh~. I want to know now." Satoru whined.
"Bad Satoru." I puffed my cheeks.
"Aw. I am sorry. Don't get mad. Or I will… give you a tickle." His hand has already started tickling me.
"Ahahaha...hahaha...Sa...Sato...ru...st...stopp...hahahha."
"I will stop if you forgive me."
"Hahaha….o...okay…" I nodded.
The tickling ceased instantly. "You are not playing fair." I huffed.
"Ahahaha. Don't get mad. Here. A lollipop." He shoved the candy stick to my mouth.
"!!!" My tongue swirled around the candy. "Melon flavor." I blinked. "Ah!" My eyes shot towards the clock which showed 3 o'clock. I wriggle out from Satoru's lap.
"[Name]-chan. Where are you going?"
"I promised Yae-chan to play together." I smiled. "I am going then. Bye bye Satoru, Suguru."
"Bye bye, [Name]-chan." Satoru waved.
"See you tomorrow." Suguru smiled.
Today, Yae-chan and I are going to play tag in a park. Some of our classmates from the Sakura class are also here.
"[Name]-chan!" Yae-chan waved her hand.
"Yae-chan!" I smiled back as I waved to her.
Fun times always fly past quickly. It's 5 o'clock now. Time for us children to go home.
Few days later, Mikan-chan, Hinako-chan, and Sera-chan invite Yae-chan and I to another game of tag. Of course we agreed.
So, after school, I told Ijichi-san I am going to play tag with friends, so I won't be visiting Satoru.
"Mikan-chan, where are we going to play today? The park?" Yae-chan asked curiously.
"Hehe. Nope. We will play in a big house today." Mikan-chan said proudly.
"Big house?" The rest of us blinked.
"Yes. We are almost there." Mikan-chan said. After a twist and turn, we finally arrived at a big house Mikan-chan said.
"...Mikan-chan, are you sure you want to play tag here…?" I looked at the obviously ominous house.
"Of course. It will be so fun here." Mikan-chan talked as she was oblivious of the strange scent the house omitted.
"Hmph. Are you scared?" Hinako-chan jeered.
I frown at her. "I am not. But, Satoru said don't go near the house like this. It's dangerous." I said.
"Satoru? Ah. That neighbour onii-chan." Yae-chan said.
"Hmph. Nothing is dangerous, you stupid. There is no ghost. You are just afraid." Hinako-chan sneered.
"I am not afraid." I puffed my cheeks.
"Yes, you are. And that neighbour of yours is probably lying to you." She added.
"Satoru is not a liar!" I yelled. "Satoru never lies to me!" I told her.
"Adults are always lying. My mother said so." Hinako-chan retorted.
"Satoru is not a liar. I will prove to you that ghosts exist." I was miffed, completely forgetting the warning I had received.
"Fine." Hinako-chan stuck her chest out. Thus, the game of tag is quickly forgotten. Right now, they are going to prove the existence of ghosts. ~"~
Yae quickly runs to [Name]'s house. All she can think about is how to get to her house quickly. Fortunately, the house isn't that far. But, to a little kid this is already exhausting all her strength.
Yae panted as she arrived at Sakuya's house. She sees [Name]'s mother talking to 2 men.
"[Name]-chan's Mama!" Yae yelled, catching their attention.
Hisaki Reika, Suguru and Satoru shift their attention to Yae. The crying little girl collapses to her knees, fortunately being caught by Satoru. "Otto."
"Yae-chan?! What's wrong?" She asked the child, worry and concern evident in her tone and face.
"[Name]-chan… danger…" Yae hiccuped.
"Where are they?" Satoru asked, it's a rare case where he actually talked seriously.
"Yae-chan. Calm down and take a deep breath. Slowly… inhale… exhale…." She instructed.
Satoru shifts his hold on Yae, so Yae is being propped by his arm. Yae follows Reika's instructions, so she starts calming down.
"In what direction?" Satoru asked again.
"Satoru, don't scare her. Let her catch her breath." Suguru admonished, he knew his partner was anxious.
"Yae-chan, please tell me what you know." Reika smiled.
"...They are in an abandoned house near the park we usually play." Yae hiccuped.
"Got it." He transferred Yae to Reika and quickly teleported.
"Satoru-" He left before Suguru could say something. "Yare yare. Yae-chan. Please tell me the whole story." He smiled kindly.
Yae starts telling them their story. "Mi-Mikan-chan said she found a big house to play tag near the park. Then…[Name]-chan said this house is dangerous, she said her neighbour onii-chan said so. Hinako-chan said that onii-chan is lying. [Name]-chan said onii-chan won't lie to her….They fight with each other before [Name]-chan said she will prove to Hinako-chan that ghosts exist." Yae recounted. "...sorry...I should have stopped them." Fresh tears started flowing again.
"Oh no. Yae-chan this is not your fault. Don't worry. [Name]-chan and the others will be fine. That strong onii-chan will rescue them." She assured the little girl.
"R...really?" The little girl hiccuped.
"Yes, of course." She smiled reassuringly at the little girl.
"Then, Hisaki-san, I'll be on my way too." Suguru nodded at her.
"Okay. Be careful. I will go there after I take Yae-chan home." Reika nodded back.~"~
"Hic…"
"Sssshhhh…" I tried to shush Hinako's cry. "Don't cry or she will find us." I whispered to the other them.
The exploration starts normally. We argue as we open each door on the first floor. Of course there's nothing. And this fact made Hinako-chan more unbridled. She keeps saying Satoru is a liar. Of course, I am angry too. Satoru is not a liar.
But the deeper we go the more I smell the foul stench. On the 3rd floor. There's this one room with a particular strong vile stench. "The spirit must be here." I mumbled.
"Hmph. I am sure there's nothing inside." Hinako-chan said. Mio-chan and Mikan-chan seem to agree.
"Nee...let's just go. This room feels creepy." Yae-chan said.
"You are just afraid. As I thought, your neighbour is a liar." Hinako-chan harrumphed.
"Satoru is not a liar. I will prove it to you." I huffed. I also feel this room is creepy and definitely dangerous. But she says Satoru is a liar. I can't forgive her. So, I mustered up the courage to push open the door. The old door creaks open. We are unaware of the curse residing inside.~"~
"Are you ready?" The eerie voice echoed in the building. Hinako-chan and the others clamped her mouth tighter, afraid their cries would leak out. But a small whimper still leaks out from her mouth.
My heart is beating so fast I can even hear it. The voice and footsteps echo louder. I bit my lips thinking what should no, what can I do against that monster.
"Satoru, can you teach me how to exorcise cursed spirits?" I blinked up to the older male.
"[Name]-chan. You need curse energy to exorcise one." Satoru smiled cockily.
"So, I can't?" My mouth turned upside down.
"Well… there's one that you might can do." He drawled.
"Really?! Tell me?!" Excitement bubbled up.
"It's like this." He grinned as he taught me.~"~
"Found you."
"Kyaaaaa!!!!"
I quickly throw the nearest object I found within my reach which has no effect on it.
"Rin pyo toh sha kai jin retsu zai zen" I made a kuji-kiri. The lines I made in the air sort of materialized as light and attacked the curse.
"Let's run!" I yelled. The others and I quickly ran towards the door. Once we are out, I close the door. We still can hear clearly the curse's wail.
"I want to go home." Hinako cried.
"Let's go." I grabbed their hands and started running again. "You guys stay here and don't make a sound." I told them and closed the door. "Rin pyo toh sha kai jin retsu zai zen." I threw another kuji-kiri to focus its attention on me. I quickly ran as I was chased. I didn't run for long before I cornered.
"Are you...ready? Found you…" The grotesque curse stamped toward me.
'Scary...I...am...scared…' "...help...HELP ME! SATORU!" I yelled as I closed my eyes.
A loud crash was heard and a smell of wisteria enveloped me. "Sa...to..ru…" My opened eyes took a glimpse of white hair and sparkling blue eyes.
"[Name]-chan. Close your eyes and ears, okay? And don't move until I say so." He smiled sweetly.
"Eh? Okay." I nodded and obediently did as I was told. I can't hear or see anything except the vile smell that started to dissipate. Again, I was enveloped in a nice wisteria smell.
"You can open your eyes now." He said gently.
"Satoru…?" I blinked.
"Yep. The Gojo Satoru is here. You can rest easy." He winked.
"Where is everyone?" I gasped in realization.
"Don't worry. I found them before I found you. Right now they are outside the building with Suguru...maybe.... They are safe now. So are you." He stroke my head.
"Re...really?"
"Of course. I will never lie to you." He grinned.
"Hic...hic...Uwaaaaa!" I wailed. The tears are flowing nonstop. "Scary… I am scared…" I clung to Satoru as if he was my only lifeline.
"I am here now… no one can hurt you…" He cooed.
I cried for a good while. Now with my small hands wrapped around his neck, Satoru escorted me out of the abandoned house.
"[Name]!" I heard mama's voice.
"Mama!" I wriggled as I stretched my hands to her.
Satoru transfers me to her arms easily. "Mama!" I wrapped my hands tightly around her.
"It's good you are alright." She sighed in relief.
"Satoru saved me." I smiled.
"Thank you, Satoru-kun. Suguru-kun too, thank you for rescuing the others." Mama bowed.
"No. It was our duty. No need to thank us." Suguru smiled.
"There's no way I will let [Name]-chan get hurt." Satoru supplied.
"[Name]." Mama set me on the ground. My senses are tingling. "Didn't Satoru-kun tell you not to go inside the abandoned house?"
"...I…Hinako-chan said Satoru is a liar. I just want her to know Satoru is not a liar." I muttered, sneaking a peek at her, only to be stared down with hard glare. "Satoru…" I pleaded to the older teen. He always takes my side.
"Even though I am happy. I am quite angry with you too, [Name]-chan." Satoru smiled.
I flinch, then I look at my last resort, Suguru.
"There's no use looking at me, [Name]-chan." Suguru smiled too.
"I...am sorry…I just don't want her to say Satoru is a liar. Satoru is...not a...liar" I hiccuped, tears started flowing again.
"[Name]-chan." I heard Satoru sighed as he lifted me up. "I don't really care if they say I am a liar. I just don't want you hurt. As long as you believe in me. I will be fine." Satoru patted my head.
"[Name], you are a kind child. But Mama doesn't want anything to happen to you. If something happens to you. Mama will…" Mama choked out a sob.
"Sorry...I am sorry, mama!" I wailed. The incident was over. The rescued children were all asleep and brought back to their parents. They were told the children fall asleep after playing some kind of adventure game. The children will quickly forget after they wake up believing that was some kind of dream. The only ones who properly remember this are Yae-chan and me.
Yae-chan has promised to keep this a secret. That night, the dinner was lively. Satoru and Suguru were eating with us.
"[Name]-chan, it's time to sleep." Satoru patted my bed. Wearing blue pajamas, I crawl to the bed. "Let's tuck you to bed." He grinned.
"Satoru, don't turn off the light, okay." I murmured.
"Are you afraid?" He blinked.
"Un…" I nodded my head.
"Then, next time, please don't go to dangerous places. You should just ignore whatever they are saying." He flicked my forehead. A small 'itta' escaped my mouth. "You really worried me, [Name]-chan." He sighed.
"Sorry...Satoru… I promised I won't go to dangerous places again." I stuck my pinkie to him.
"You promised, okay. Don't break it. If you break your promise, you will have to swallow a thousand needles." He wrapped his pinkie to mine.
"I will. So, Satoru, don't leave me alone okay." I am getting sleepy. My eyes are dropping.
"Sweet dreams." With a kiss on the forehead, I am out like a feather. ~"~
Gojo Satoru, he prided himself to be strong. He didn't really understand why he should have protected the weak. This world no matter how evolved, the rule is still the same. The strong prey on the weak.
But as usual, there is always an exception. For Gojo Satoru, his exception is the little girl sleeping on the bed. This seemingly normal girl. Well, maybe not so normal. As the sole heir of the Gojo clan he is always on guard. Because everyone around him always want a piece of him.
That's why he always taunts and teases them. Just to remind them not to mess with him. But at the same time, this attitude earned him a lot of enemies. The Gojo clan praises him as a genius. So, from the moment he was born, he had to shoulder those unneeded expectations.
He used to try hard because of it, but right now he doesn't give a damn.
Well, this little girl is the first one to tell him. It's okay to take a break and just let go of those expectations. Coming from a little girl, this is quite a feat. That was the first time Gojo Satoru let out a genuine smile for her. ~"~
"Satoru." A small girl not older than 3 years old poked her head into his room.
"[Name]-chan." Satoru plastered a smile as usual. This little kid from his neighbor seems attached to him. Well, he didn't mind. She was quite amusing for her age. Trying to mimic him and all.
"Satoru. Here, kakigori." [Name] smiled as she handed the sweet to him.
"Oh, kakigori. Thank you [Name]-chan." He never declined a sweet.
"Of course. I hope after you eat it, you will become cheerful." She smiled, her baby teeth showing.
"I am always cheerful." He grinned.
"Nuh uh. You are always sad. I don't know. I just know you are sad. Don't get sad anymore Satoru." The little girl patted his head. "Pain pain goes away.." Her little palm covered his eyes before making a motion like throwing something away. "Pain pain goes away… hic… pain...pain… go..away..." She sobbed.
Bewildered, Satoru finally let out a helpless sigh. "Why are you crying, [Name]-chan?" He patted my head.
"Because you didn't cry. Sorry… I can't take your pain away...sowwy…"
"It's not your fault. [Name]-chan. Thank you for crying for me." He pulled the much smaller girl to a hug. "Don't cry anymore. I will be okay. The pain has gone away." He coaxed the girl.
For the first time in his life. Gojo Satoru knew what it was like being worried by other people. "Really? You are not lying?" [Name] hiccuped.
"Of course." He wiped her snot with a handkerchief. "I will never lie to you." He smiled. "So, don't cry anymore."
"Okay." She nodded, smiling.
"Good, let's eat kakigori toge..ther…" The forgotten kakigori has melted. "Let's go eat ice cream." Satoru lifted the small girl.
"I want bubble gum flavour. Because it's like your eyes, so pretty."
"Eh? [Name]-chan, does that mean you want to eat my eyes?" He put on a faux hurt expression.
"Of course not. Silly Satoru. I just like the colour of your eyes. They are so pretty. Because they are yours." The girl giggled.
"I see. I like your eyes too. They are so honest. Just like you."
"Hehehe, thank you."
From that moment, a genuine bond formed between them. And his affection to her too has become genuine. In other words, he spoiled her rotten, of course within limits. She might be the only one who can bend the Gojo Satoru to her will. Later, she will be known as the Gojo Satoru's owner. ~"~
After the incident, Satoru and Suguru agreed to teach me some basics of close combat for self defense. And apparently, I am not allowed to go out alone for a month. Either being accompanied by Mama, Satoru, Suguru sometimes even Nanamin or someone from Jujutsu High.
Apparently I was born with innate ability as an onmyouji. But, my necklace which was given by my late father is some kind of seal, sealing the ability to see. The seal has weakened, and I start seeing the curse. Mama has told Satoru, Suguru and Masamichi sensei my origin.
Apparently, my great great great...uh… many generations ago, someone from my father's side is a direct descendant from a Keikain, an onmyouji. She is married to a youkai. The Keikain clan died out many generations ago. Father is, what was the word, a leftover. At that time, my grandma from generations ago was expelled from clan because marrying a youkai. They took different surnames and voila, I was born after generations had passed.
When I was born, papa said my spiritual power is too strong, this kind of power is attractive to curses. They are effective in purging curses but also in attracting curses. So, he sealed my power. Hoping I will just live as a normal girl.
But alas, the seal quickly weakened, one because I hung around a lot with someone with a cursed power. Two, I have encountered cursed spirits.
"Mama, am I bad? Is it because this Papa has gone far away?" I blinked my watery eyes.
"Oh no. Of course not, honey. It's definitely not your fault. Papa has gone far away to search for a way to help you." Mama gave me a teary smile.
"Okay…" I nodded.
"...Onmyouji, huh? I am not sure how to handle onmyouji spiritual power." Sensei sighed.
"Is that different from curse power?" Suguru asked.
"If curse energy is negative energy. Then spiritual power is positive power. Though all the same it can be used like curse power. It just, spiritual power is far more attractive to curses than curse power or curse object. I am not sure whether the way of handling them are the same." Sensei said.
"My late husband had some books for spiritual power. I am not sure whether this will help or not." Mama said.
"Can I take a look?"
"Of course." Mama then led Sensei to Papa's study.
"Satoru, Suguru. Will I be okay? Is Mama troubled because of me?" I asked the older males.
"[Name]-chan…"
"Of course not, [Name]-chan. Don't worry. Nothing will happen to you. This Gojo Satoru will protect you. And Reika-san is not troubled because of you." He patted my head.
"Not only Satoru, I will also protect you. What Satoru said is right. Your mom is not troubled because you. That's why don't worry." He smiled.
"Thank you, Satoru, Suguru." I smiled.
So, in the end it's decided I will stay in Jujutsu high with Satoru because it's the best option for my safety. Mama will stay with me every weekend or holiday. My room is in between Satoru and Suguru. Someone will take me to school every morning.
Even though I have my own room, I mostly sleep in Satoru's room when he is not out. And in the morning Suguru will wake us. After school, sensei will tell me how to meditate. According to him, even though I have different power, the way of channelling is more or less the same. So, meditating is the first step. ~"~
Few months later
"Who is this little girl?" A big sister wearing a maiden shrine outfit peered down at me. I hide myself behind Nanamin's leg.
"She is a special student here." Nanamin told her.
"Kon...konichiwa, I am Hisaki [Name]. Umm… nice to meet you." I bowed and hid myself again.
"So cute." She smiled. "I am Iori Utahime. Nice to meet you, [Name]-chan." She kneeled down to my level and smiled.
"Un!" I smiled.
"By the way, she has another nickname." Nanamin said.
"Nickname?"
"Gojo Satoru's owner."
Big sister suddenly freezes. "Onee-chan, what's wrong?" I blinked.
"This little girl is what?" She asked again.
"Gojo Satoru's owner." Nanamin said again.
"We are talking about that Gojo Satoru, right? The annoying arrogant prick. There's no way he will listen to other's orders. Let alone a small girl." Utahime Onee-chan said indecorously.
"But, this is the truth." Nanamin said.
"Are you two fighting?" I looked up at them.
"No. We are not fighting. She is just having trouble processing that you are Gojo-san's owner." Nanamin said.
"Satoru? Onee-chan knows about Satoru's too?" I smiled at her.
"Well, no one doesn't know who he is." Utahime onee-chan grumbled.
"Onee-chan, do you hate Satoru?" I tilted my head. "Satoru is nice. He just doesn't know how to show it."
"Did he brainwash her?"
"No. It's the opposite."
"I can't wait for Utahime to come."
"Satoru, don't tease her." The door opened, revealing Satoru and Suguru.
"Ah! Satoru, Suguru." I waved my hand excitedly.
"[Name]-chan. I have come back. I bought a lot of sweets." Satoru grinned. "Ah, Utahime, there's none for you." Satoru told the girl.
"I don't want any!" Utahime Onee-chan yelled.
"Bad Satoru, sharing is caring." I scolded.
"Well, I care about you, so I share my sweets with you." He grinned.
"Then, what about Suguru?" I titled my head.
"...well, I will give him one then."
"Nanamin too."
"Ok, one for Nanamin."
"What about Utahime onee-chan?"
"Utahime doesn't need it. She is dieting." Satoru whispered (loudly) to my ear.
"I am not!!" Utahime onee-chan yelled.
"See what I mean." Nanamin sighed as he would rather go outside to exorcise curse spirits rather than being in the same room with Satoru.
"Ah, Nanamin." I called. I grab a few sweets from the plastic bag. "Thank you for accompanying me today." I smiled.
"...you are welcome." A slight smile curved on his lips.
"Ah! Nanamin smiled. Let me get a picture." Satoru exclaimed, taking out his phone.
Quickly as it came, Nanamin's smile disappeared. "Then, I will be on my way." Nanamin left.
"Onee-chan, let's eat sweets together." I smiled.
"Ehh~ [Name]-chan. I thought this is our quality time." Satoru whined.
"The more the merrier. Let's ask Shoko too." I clapped my hand.
Shoko finally arrived. We are already waiting for her as we munch the sweets. Utahime onee-chan ate some too. "Shoko, you are late." Satoru said.
"Shoko, I saved your favourite." I waved.
"Thanks, [Name]-chan. Looks like even though you spend a lot of time with Satoru, your personality is still intact." She patted my head.
I… don't understand a thing she said. I blink and look at Satoru. "Shoko, that's not a nice thing to say. I am just fine." Satoru said.
“Satoru.” I called.
“Hm?” He hummed in respond.
“What is owner?” I asked curiously. Satoru blinks owlishly at me.
“Nanamin said, I am Satoru’s owner? What does that mean?” I munched a pocky stick.
“That means, [Name]-chan can ask me to do anything.” He grinned.
“Anything?” I blinked.
“Anything. What do you want me to do?” He smirked proudly.
"Then, Satoru, can you open this for me?" I asked as I handed him a pocky box.
"Of course." Satoru smiled as he used his cursed technique to open the box.
"Amazing." My eyes sparkled.
"Is it? Because I am the strongest." Satoru laughed (cockily).
"You are so amazing, Satoru. I hope I will become like you too." I clapped my hand.
"Yep. But I will be way stronger by then." He smirked.
"Is that so? Then, you will protect me, right?" I smiled.
"Of course. Leave it all to Gojo Satoru." He grinned. ~"~
While the others are still eating without batting an eye. Utahime is gaping. That Gojo Satoru is acting nice in front of a little girl. She was quite skeptical when she heard [Name] is Gojo Satoru's owner. She did tell him to share his sweets and he complied. But, she thought it was just to humour her. Utahime never thought he was so whipped. She can clearly see his affection is genuine.
Utahime looks at Shoko. "This is the usual." Shoko munched her sweets.
"Eehh…" Utahime is processing the scene in front of her. ~"~
"[Name]-chan, it's your bedtime." Satoru lifted me up.
"Eehh… I want to play with Shoko and Utahime onee-chan too." I pouted
"No can do, young lady. It's 9 o'clock. It's time for sleep. Reika-san will get angry if you sleep late." Satoru said.
"...okay… bye bye Shoko, Utahime onee-chan, Suguru." I waved.
"Bye bye." They waved.
After changing into my pajamas, right now I curled in Satoru's bed. "Satoru… Bedtime story." I am excited for bedtime story. Satoru always has some funny stories.
"Well… long long time ago, there was a strong sorcerer named Gojo Satoru…" I giggled at his opening.
"He is so strong that no one can win against him."
"How strong?" I blinked.
"Hmm…. I can win with just one finger." He smiled.
"Really?"
"Really really." He nodded. "Then, one day. Some old geezers came to challenge him."
"Who are the old geezers?" I asked.
"Annoying people." He answered.
"Oh."
"So, the old geezers challenged him and lost miserably. The end." He grinned.
"So fast." I pouted.
"It's time to sleep." Satoru slipped into the bed too. I quickly snuggle to him and out like a feather. ~"~
A year later
I am running on the street, searching for a familiar curse energy. I feel it just now, so he won't be far. "Suguru!" I yelled. "SUGURU!" I yelled out loudly. Finally the said stops moving and turns around to face me. "Don't go, Suguru." I cried.
"I can't. I have lost faith in humanity." He smiled sadly.
"Then, why are you so sad? You don't want to go, right? Then don't go! Stay with us!" I cried not caring how ugly my appearance was.
He shakes his head. "I am sad maybe because I won't be seeing you ordering Satoru around." He patted my head.
"Please don't go. I will work harder, I won't slack off anymore. I will cut my sweet. I will properly sleep in my bed. Hic...don't go...hic."
"If you do that, Satoru will be lonely." He sighed helplessly. "Please stay with him, okay." He smiled
"Su...gu..ru…" As soon as he touched my forehead, I felt sleepy. 'No...I can't…'
Suguru catches the unconscious girl. He brings her to the nearest park, takes a photo and sends it to Satoru. After that, he leaves some of the cursed spirit to guard her.
Satoru, just as he has received the picture from an unknown number, quickly teleports to the park. Fortunately [Name] is unharmed. "Don't...go...Suguru…" A lone tear escaped her already tear-stained cheek. ~"~
~Few years later~
[Name] 15 years old
Gojo Satoru 26 years old.
This happened before my promotion to a semi-second grade sorcerer. I was staying over in Satoru's house because Mama is out for vacation.
"Breakfast is ready." A cheerful voice said.
"Good morning, Satoru." I rubbed my sleepy eyes.
"Good morning, [Name]-chan. I have made your favourite." He grinned. Satoru is wearing a casual black long-sleeved shirt and white slacks. His sunglasses perched on top of his nose bridge.
On the table two plates of omurice are placed, complete with the tableware and two glasses of milk.
"Go get freshen up before the breakfast goes cold." He ushered me to the bathroom.
"Ummm…." I nodded.
After breakfast, we are just lounging around in the living room. Watching horror movies. No matter how terrifying they made the ghost, it doesn't phase me a bit. I have been meeting a lot of curses in any shape. This one that is shaped like a human seems more human.
"[Name]-chan." Satoru called.
"Hm?"
"Why are you not scared?" He asked.
"...Because it's not scary…?" I tilted my head.
"...But, this movie guarantees that everyone will be scared if they watch it…" He pouted.
"Then, Satoru, why are you not scared too?" I asked back.
"Because I am the strongest jujutsu sorcerer. Gojo Satoru." He smirked.
"Then, I am not scared because I am Gojo Satoru's owner." I said flatly.
"...the nickname seems stuck with you." He sweatdropped. "But, I like it." He grinned. "But, I like it more if you are scared and cling to me." He wrapped his arms around himself. "Kyaaa!!! Satoru, it's so scary." He said in a very disgusting high-pitched voice. "Don't worry, [Name]-chan. I am here." He said in his voice again.
"..." I looked at him for a while and ignored him, focusing my attention on tv.
"[Name]-chan has become so cold." He fake-cried. "Where is my cute [Name]-chan that always clings to me and calls me Satoru."
….There's a reason why I act like this. This guy is unbelievably popular. Whether it's a little kid, teenager, career woman, married woman, even grandma will act like a girl with her first crush just by seeing his face.
And there's one time the commotion happened in my school. I think I was in 5th grade. That time he substitutes my mom coming to school. It's a parent-teacher conference. I still remember how happy I was, until this guy showed up without his blindfold. You can imagine the commotion he caused. Everyone, by everyone I mean everyone. From students to teachers to parents. They are ogling at him. He knew and enjoyed it.
And so, going home from school, I banned him from wearing his sunglasses when outside. He has to stick with a blindfold. At least, with blindfold, no one pays attention to him. In other words, it's just the jealousy of a hormonal teenager. But, there's no way I will tell him this.
"Satoru… you are creepy." I deadpanned.
"[Name]-chan." He whined.
"...So, you want me to act scared or not." I sighed.
A wide grin with his hands stretched out is the answer. ~"~
Right before summer vacation, the whole class is going to do a test of courage. You know this is some kind of matchmaking. They will choose some of that was not scary at all. Pair the class into girl boy pairing and they have to walk around the designated perimeter together with just one flashlight. The scared girl will cling to the boy, and the boy will assure her they will be alright. What a scam.
They have agreed to meet in the old school building entrance tonight. "Will something pop out there?" Yae asked.
"Old school building? I have long exorcised the curse spirit over there." I answered.
"As expected from onmyouji. So, what progress have you made with your 'Satoru'?" Yae teased.
"...There's no progress to report. He is older than me, like what? 11 years." I sighed.
"But, you like him right? As in you want him to ravish-"
“Let’s stop before our conversation steered away to unknown territory.” I cut her off. “Besides, that’s not love. It’s called lust.” I mumbled, cheeks tinted pink, because my mind dangerously hovered on a certain image she said.
"You think I am 3 years old?" She rolled her eyes. "Love and lust are always together. Love is just more glorified than lust. Because if you love someone then you want everything they are physically and spiritually. While lust might be because they like one or more aspects they have."
"Yae… how come you know this?" I blinked.
"Anime and movies are the source. Unlike you who only watch horror genre and can even laugh at it." She snorted.
"Well, it can't be helped because it's not scary. Their movements are funny too. Cursed spirits don't move like that. They-"
"So, do you like him or not?" She asked.
"...of course I like him." I mumbled. "But, I am sure to him I was just a little sister." I said.
"Did he tell you that?" Yae asked.
"Umm...Few times when I was in grade school?" I blinked.
"That is hardly a proof. I mean, if he showed interest when you were a grade schooler, doesn't that make him a dangerous person?" Yae snorted.
"Well… I can't deny that." I nodded.
"Besides, it's just an 11 years age gap. Did you forget there was a time when a 40 something old man married an 18 something girl. That's what we call a cradle robber." Yae raised her brow.
"It was in the past…" I mumbled.
"Not really. There are some cases like this too right now. Well, all you need is to wait until you are 18 and then eat him in one swoop." Yae grinned.
"I...am not going to eat him. By the time I am 18, he might already have a girlfriend or wife." I grumbled.
"....with that kind of personality? I don't think so. I think only you can handle him. Or at least he is tamer with you." Yae smirked.
"Don't talk like he is some kind of pet." I sweatdropped.
"Oh, but he is. You are his owner. You do know your nickname on going in those circles, don't you?" Yae laughed. She is enjoying this.
"...Gojo Satoru's owner…"
"Yep. You should use that to your advantage." Yae giggled.
"...How should I use it?" I tilted my head.
"...Think for yourself." Yae rolled her eyes.
"Eehhh?"
"So, are you coming for the test of courage?" Yae asked.
"No. I have a job tonight. Nothing dangerous will happen there." I shook my head.
"Then, I am coming with you." Yae said.
"Hm? You are not going with them?" I blinked.
"What's the point? Megumi is not there." Yae rolled her eyes.
"Megumi is in a different school though." I sweatdropped.
"That's why I don't want to go. I'd rather watch you exorcise cursed spirits." Yae reasoned.
*Bzzzz* My phone vibrated. I fish out my phone from my skirt's pocket and see a notification from Satoru. I open his message.
"Tonight, Megumi will go with you. (ノ≧ڡ≦) Teehee~!"
"I see…"
"What's wrong?"
"Megumi will come with me tonight." I threw my phone to her, so she can see the message.
"Coming with you is really a good idea." Yae giggled. “I will tell class rep we won’t be participating.” She smiled.
This girl will do anything just to see Megumi. Her infatuation is really something. Megumi… I think he might have a crush on her too. And Yae is good at playing pull and push with Megumi. I am sure Megumi has no idea about this. Truly, a copy of Satoru. Sometimes I wonder if they are related to each other.
Who would've ever thought that sweet Yae grew up to be like this. I sigh, this is Satoru's fault. I heard their conversation when I was in 6th grade. Satoru was teaching this girl how to attract Megumi. The content of the conversation is so scary that I ran straight to Megumi's temporary room and told him not to grow up like Satoru.
10 o'clock. Yae, Megumi and I are in front of the cursed building. "Megumi, here. I made too much. Eat them later with Tsumiki-san." Yae dropped a small pouch of cookies on Megumi's palm.
"Thank you very much." Megumi said.
'It's definitely a lie. She must have made it just now.' I sweatdropped. I sigh, "Megumi, let's get this finished quickly and eat some ice cream." I called the younger boy.
"...We have no supervisor? What about Gojo-sensei?" Megumi blinked.
"Our supervisor for today is Ijichi-san. As for Satoru, he said he has business."
"No can do, [Name]-san. You shouldn't allow your pet to roam without you." Megumi said flatly.
"....He's not a pet though…" I sighed.
"But, you are his owner. Please control him." Megumi said.
"...Shut up… talk later. Let's finish this quickly." I huffed.
"Then, I will lower the curtain." Ijichi-san said as he made a hand seal. After the curtain is lowered, we enter the building.
Megumi summons his Gyokuken (Divine Dog) a pair of black and white dogs, while I summon a shikigami, Tanro, a Honshu wolf. "[Name]-san, I will take this one. So, you take the other one." Megumi said.
"Okay. Call me if you need anything." I nodded as I mounted Tanro. I quickly arrived at the second cursed spirit's location and easily dispatched it. This building was haunted by some 4th grade cursed spirit. The weakest one in the hierarchy.
The mission is over quickly, dispatching some 4th grade cursed spirits are hardly what we call a mission. This is more to let us accumulate experience.
"It's over." I stretched my hands up as we exited the building. "Ijichi-san. You can raise the curtains. We have finished." I told the older male.
"Thank you for your hard work." Ijichi-san smiled.
"No problem. Megumi, we are going for ice cream. Will you come with us?" I asked.
"...Sorry. I still have homework to do and Tsumiki will get mad if I stay out late." Megumi said. Yae's smile drops considerably. "Maybe next time. I will definitely join next time." Megumi said.
"Okay. You promised." Yae smiled.
'Ah, the push and pull.'
In the end, only the two of us are having ice cream. "Why don't you call Satoru-san?" Yae scooped her parfait.
"He won't be back until morning it seems." I showed her the message.
"I'll be back late. ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ"
"We should go home too, after finishing this." I gazed at the window.
"Can't wait to sleep in his bed?" Yae smirked.
"...I sleep on my bed. I have my own room."
"You can use this chance to sleep on his bed." Come the suggestion. "You guys are used to sleeping together anyway. I am sure he won't mind."
"That was in grade school. I...am not a child anymore." I mumbled, a slight blush coating my cheeks.
"The question is whether you want to or not."
"I...want to…" I muttered softly.
"Then, easy, just do it. You used to do whatever you want anyway." Yae sighed.
"I know… it's just…" I remember the words that that woman said to me.
"I pity him. He has to babysit you so much he can't even have time for himself."
I was so angry at that time. But, now I think about it, she is right. Almost 24/7 I stay with him. Satoru might not say anything. But, maybe because he's afraid of hurting me.
"So, what happened exactly?" Yae sighed.
"Yae… you remember I told you about that woman I saw with Satoru, right?" I opened my mouth to speak.
"Ah. I remember you told me about an old hag hanging around him. Yep. I remember." She nodded.
"You see… that woman told me…" I recounted the tale and the words she said to me.
"I see. What a load of bullshit." Yae deadpanned. "And, you are an idiot too, for falling for her words." Yae flicked my forehead.
"Ittai." I rubbed the sore spot.
"That woman probably just wants to get to his pants. But, was rejected. And she shifted the blame to you. Don't worry much about what other people think. Just think about what you want to do." Yae said.
"What I want...to do…"
"If you keep pushing him away, he might really go away. Satoru-san's personality is unrestrained. He might slip away. Do you want it to happen?"
"I don't want to!" I answered quickly.
"Then, you know what you should do, right?"
"Be more honest with what I want." I nodded.
"Good. You have the entire summer vacation to do it. You are going to Jujutsu high anyway." She smiled.
"Yeah. Thanks Yae." I smiled gratefully at my best friend.
"Of course. You owe me a cake from Sweets Bakery." She said.
"No worry. I will buy it." I laughed. The two of us share a laugh.
*Bzzzz bzzzz*
My phone vibrated signalling an incoming call. "Moshi moshi, [Name] here."
"[Name], where are you right now?" Hinako's voice transmitted to my ears.
"We are eating ice cream at Kinoko's family restaurant." I answered.
"Can you come to sanchoume. We are having kimodameshi here…" She said.
"What?! Aren't you guys in the old school building?" I frowned.
"The thing is, Yuriko told them about this abandoned building in sanchoume. They said it seemed interesting and changed their location. Now they are inside and haven't come out yet. It's almost an hour." Hinako cried. "You are an onmyouji, right? I remember you were the one who help us back then. Please help." She pleaded.
"...Listen. Don't let the others enter the building, okay. Not even to search. I will be there soon." I hung up.
"What's wrong?" Yae asked.
"Those idiots went to an abandoned house in sanchoume. Hinako said some of them have gone inside and haven't come back. I will go and check on them." I grumbled. "I will smack them so hard after I rescue them." An annoyed tick appeared on my forehead.
I put on my jacket and speed dial Satoru's number. "Moshi moshi, my cute [Name]-chan. Have you finished your mission?" Satoru's playful voice came through the phone.
"Satoru. There's an emergency. Idiots from my class have gone to an abandoned house in sanchoume for kimodameshi. Cursed spirits might be there. I will go there right now."
"Is Megumi with you?"
"Megumi has gone home. We have finished our mission. Right now it's only Yae and I."
"Understood. I will take some time to arrive. Don't do anything dangerous." He said seriously.
"I know." I hung up and sped through the street. I want to use Tanro, but this will shock people, so I can only use my feet.
Time like this is how I envied Satoru. He can teleport and fly in the air. Arriving there, I can see Hinako is trying to block them from entering.
"Hinako!" I called.
"[Name]. You are here." She smiled in relief.
"So, who is inside?" I asked without beating the bush.
"Yuriko, Mio, Higashi-kun and Takeuchi-kun." She listed out the most troublesome people in our class.
"Tsk. Stupid idiots. I hope they are still alive so I can smack them so hard they will fly back to their house." I grumbled.
"Please save them, [Name]." She pleaded.
"I will. As long as they are still alive." I said grimly. The stench is too much, my nose scrunched up in disgust. 'This might a first grade.' I gulped. I have only ever fought with second grade and that was under Satoru's supervision. 'Fine. Bring it on. If I keep being like this. I won't be a first grade onmyouji/sorcerer.'
I step into the house. "Tanro." I called for my shikigami. "Let's locate the human scent first. Can you do it?"
"Awooo." He howled. Tanro then speeds through the building. Tanro stops in one of the rooms. "Awoooo!" He howled.
It seems like they are here. "Tanro, bust open the door." I commanded. With a roar Tanro tears open the metal door.
"Hiii!!!"
"Kyaaaa!!!"
The screams from inside the room prove that they are still alive. "Hi-Hisaki…?" Takeuchi-kun lowered his trembling hands with a pole.
"Wh...what are you riding?"
"Kyaaa! A monster!!!" Yuriko screamed.
"I will smack you all later. For now, let's get out of here." I dismounted Tanro.
"Be-behind you!!"
The cursed spirit is blocked by Rokuson. Another shikigami I have called. A deer. "Bukyoku." I called another one. This time it's a samurai.
"[Name]-sama." He greeted me.
"Tanro, Rokuson, take them out. Bukyoku, we will hold it here." I commanded.
"Yes!" Bukyoku charged to the cursed spirit, which I am certain is a first grade. "Bind." I made a hand seal, glowing light warped around its neck and limbs, sealing its movement. Tanro and Rokuson crash the windows in this room to get outside. The easiest method.
"Ki...kikiki!!!" The cursed spirit gets angry. The room distorts and suddenly all exits are blocked. The binding spell has been broken.
"Domain expansion… this is bad…" A bead of sweat rolled down my temple.
"Kikikikiki!" It sounded like he was having fun.
"Sorry, but I am the hunter and you are the prey." I glared at it. "Rentei!" Another shikigami, this time a koi fish shikigami. "Transform." Rentei transformed into a katana, Nenekirimaru. "Bukyoku!"
"Ha!" Bukyoku and I took a swing at it. I am actually more of a supporting role, as my sealing and binding technique are much in higher level than my almost non-existence offensive technique. That's why I use Shikigamis. But, my supportive skills are weakened in this domain. My sword skill is really average. So, I didn't actually do much damage to it.
Bukyoku falls down to his knees. I can't call back Rokuson and Tanro because being blocked by its domain. The only way to counter domain expansion is to make my own.
I have tried a few times, but I always fail. This time… if I fail I will definitely die. "I won't die. I promised Suguru that I will stay by Satoru's side. Besides, as his owner, I can't die easily."
I released Rentei and made a hand seal. Chains start coming out from every direction, chaining the cursed spirit.
"Domain expansion, Shikigami no Hyakki Yako." In an instant the space around me changed shape again. This time, it's almost like a giant shrine. We are standing right on the Torii gate. The shrine's door opened. White mists spread out from the door, and something no, human skeletons fly out from the door, each skeleton wearing an onmyouji garb and forming a circle, trapping the cursed spirit.
"Harai tamae kiyome tamae, kyu kyu nyo ritsu yo." The skeleton shikigamis made a hand seal. Another layer of binding spell is casted. Sphere of lights concentrated above the cursed spirit, it took a shape of a giant spear. The light spear pierce down the cursed spirit and completely annihilate it.
Completely spent, my domain vanished, I can't even maintain Bukyoku. "Haa...haa...haa…" I panted. "I will become stronger. Strong enough so Satoru won't worry about me." My legs gave out due to exhaustion.
"Otto. Worrying about you is my job, [Name]-chan. No matter how strong you are, I won't stop worrying." Smell of Wisteria flooded my nose.
"I did it. Domain expansion." I gave him a weak smile.
"I know. You did a good job." He smiled, unlike the usual teasing or mocking smile. He gave me a genuine smile. A smile reserved only for me. "But, next time please exorcise it without injuring yourself." He said.
"...I am going to ignore you for the rest of the week, Satoru." I grumbled.
"Eeehhh~." Satoru whined.
Satoru gives me a piggyback ride. "[Name], are you alright?" Yae asked worriedly.
"....Except exhaustion, I am fine." I smiled weakly.
"Hisaki, are you alright? Did that monster get you?"
"I won't be here if it got me, idiot." I rolled my eyes.
"Hisaki, that was so cool. What was that deer and that wolf? Call them one more time."
"Hisaki."
"Hisaki."
They keep calling me, it's annoying. "Hai~" Satoru called out. "[Name]-chan is tired right now. So, no more questions." Satoru smiled.
"Hey, why are you wearing a blindfold?"
"Don't tell me he is your boyfriend. A blindfold? Is he blind? Lame."
"...Satoru, don't you dare lower your blindfold, or I am really going to ignore you." I muttered.
"Oya, don't tell me my cute [Name]-chan is jealous." He teased me. He knew exactly what my reaction would be. It usually will be, "I just don't want to handle another commotion. You stupid idiot." With deadpanned eyes and slightly blushing cheeks.
But, this time I promised I will be more honest with myself. "Un. I will be jealous. you are not allowed to look at other girls or women without your blindfold. No sunglasses too." I mumbled softly, just soft enough for him to hear.
It's only for a split second, but I feel his whole body freeze by my unexpected reply. "And don't add -chan to my name anymore." I jumped down from his back.
"I promise I will smack you guys. So, which idiot changed the location?" I looked at them.
All of them start looking at each other. Cearly no one wants to say anything. "You guys are lucky I am nearby. What if something happens to you guys? Think what your parents would think if you guys died earlier than them."
"You...You are an onmyouji, right? Then you have the duty to protect us." Yanagawa Yuriko stuttered.
"I-"
"We saved people who accidentally caught up in this mess. But, we are not obliged to save someone who courts death." Satoru said.
"H-Hmph. This is not your business, blindfold guy."
"Oh, this is my business. As an adult, I have the authority to report a group of kids who trespassed a forbidden entry building." Satoru flashed a smile as he showed them the number he called. 110
Their faces went pale. "Oi, you kids! what are you doing here? This is a forbidden entry building!" Local polices have come.
In the end, except for Yae and I. They are all being questioned by the police and writing an apology statement. After that, they are allowed to leave.~"~
Outside police box
"So… what advice did you give to her? She has become much more honest." Satoru looked at the girl beside him.
"I just told her to be more honest to herself or else you will slip away." Yae grinned as she looked at the newest picture of Megumi.
"Is that so? She was cute before. Right now, she has become cuter. What should I do?" He grinned.
"Well, I did manage to get from her, why she is not as clingy as she was as a kid." Yae put her phone in her pocket.
"Oh? Do tell me. I will get Megumi's sleeping face for you." He grinned. He knows of her infatuation with Megumi.
"Deal!" Yae exclaimed happily. "So, do you remember which woman that hung around you when we were in 6th grade? Apparently that woman told [Name] she was pitying you, because you will have to babysit her every time and hardly have time for yourself."
"A woman….?...Too many unimportant people hang around me."
"So, I told her it was just that woman's bullshit. She was definitely being rejected by you when she was trying to get into your pants and she doesn't need to care what other people are thinking, but what she wants."
"So, that woman was the reason. If not for her, then [Name] and I will be much closer already." Satoru whined.
"You are calling her without -chan. Why didn't you do it when you were calling for her?" Yae blinked.
"It's an adult's circumstances." He flashed a smile.
"....At least, wait for her until she is in legal age, okay." Yae sighed.
"Will try." ~"~
"Sorry for the wait." I exited the police box. The policewoman was kind enough to clean and bandage my wounds. Even though most of them are just scratches.
"It's almost 1 o'clock in the morning. What will you do?" Satoru asked Yae.
"I will sleepover in [Name]'s house." Yae yawned.
"I don't mind. Let's go." I smiled.
They start walking, but I still root on the spot. "[Name]-chan?" Satoru called.
"I can't walk. My legs hurt. Piggyback." I held out my hands.
Satoru grins widely. With a few large strides, he kneels down showing his back to me. His arms are around my knees and my hands loop around his neck. Smell of wisteria is flooding my senses. I start feeling sleepy. "Satoru…" I called.
"Hm?"
"I am not bothering you, right? ...You won't be angry if I am clingy, right?" My eyelids are starting to drop.
"Silly [Name]. I like it when you bother and cling to me." He laughed.
"I see… then,...I am...glad." I fell asleep as soon as I got it out of my mouth. ~"~
The whole month passes away in blur. Yae and I spent my whole summer break in Jujutsu High, just like every other year in the past. And I have been promoted to semi-second grade sorcerer by Shoko. Satoru celebrated it by buying sweets. Which is welcomed by us.
Now back to school. The rumour that I am an onmyouji has spread. Everyone will stare at me like I am some kind of rare animal in a zoo. And a lot of pointless requests flood in. 'I feel like I am haunted' or 'the hair of a Japanese doll in my house is getting longer' this kind of thing. In short, nothing is associated with cursed spirits.
Unlike when I was in school grader, where I was being driven to Jujutsu High after school. I was deemed good enough to live at my house again at the start of my middle school. So, no more Ijichi-san after school to escape from this rowdy crowd.
Hinako, Mikan and Sera started having lunch with Yae and I again after the whole kimodameshi fiasco. "[Name]-chan. That blindfold guy… don't tell me, is he the one that helped us in grade school?" Hinako asked.
"...I don't really remember that whole incident. But, I remember a pair of very handsome blue eyed onii-chan and black eyed onii-chan at that time." Sera said.
"Yes. That blindfold guy is the one from our grade school incident." Yae nodded.
"...Huh? Wait a moment. Was he your neighbour onii-chan back then? The one who Hinako called a liar?" Sera blinked.
"Correct." Yae nodded.
"....Was he also the one that came to your parent-teacher conference that time?" Hinako asked excitedly.
"Ah, yes. The very same." Yae nodded happily.
"...Why is Yae-chan the one answered?" Mikan sweatdropped.
I have long dropped into an annoyed mood. "How come this guy still causes trouble without him being here?" I grumbled.
"But, why is he wearing a blindfold? Did he have an accident?" Mikan frowned.
"Nope. He is wearing it for personal reasons." Yae laughed as she sneaked a glance to me. The rest of the girls are also shift their line sight to me, who is chomping on lunch, looking like someone ready to murder a certain someone.
*Bzzzz bzzz*
My phone vibrates, I frown as I unlock my phone. "❤ (ɔˆз(ˆ⌣ˆc)"
My phone vibrates again before I could type an answer. A familiar playful voice comes out from the phone. "[Name]-chan, I want a ki-"
"Satoru, as I thought, I am going to ignore you for the rest of the week.” I sulked.
“Eeeehhh? [Name]-chan~ don’t be so mean.” He whined.
“If you behave well, I will act scared when we watch horror movie."
"Roger. I am always well behaved." I can hear his grin from here.
"Is that so? Then, why are you still causing trouble without being here?" I raised my brows.
"It's because I am the most handsome Jujutsu sorcerer, Gojo Sa-"
"I am going to hang up."
"Wait! [Name]-chan. Don't be hasty."
"I am eating lunch."
"Aw, Is my cute [Name]-chan jealous again?"
“Geee….” The rest of the girls are staring at me.
"Yes. I am jealous. You do remember when you were in high school, you attracted a lot of people, from little girls, teenagers, carrier women, married women, and grannies. That's why I told you to wear your blindfold." I mumbled softly, so they won’t hear.
"Okay, [Name]-chan. I will behave really well. I will buy a lot of sweets for the movie night. Rather, I am going to buy them now. See you later." He hung up, I could clearly hear his proud big grin from here.
"Pffft." Yae trembled in laughter while the other three looked dumbfounded.
"Shut up." I chomped on my lunch, trying to ignore the burning feeling on my cheeks.
"[Name], what kind of kinky play you did?" Yae asked amused
"We are not doing some kinky play. We are just going to watch a movie." I retorted.
"...Why need to act scared? To you, a horror movie is something like comedy though." Yae raised her brows.
"If I don't do it. He won't stop doing some disgusting high-pitched voice." I replied.
"[Name]-chan, is he your boyfriend?" Sera asked.
"Soon to be. Well, they practically are. Just waiting to be labelled." Yae mused.
"So,[Name]-chan. Which part do you like from him?" They grinned slyly.
"I...don't want to answer." I dodged the question.
"Ehhh? You are no fun." Hinako pouted.
“Then, is that why he is wearing blindfold? Because [Name]-chan is jealous?” Mikan asked excitedly.
“Half of the reason. The other half is because his eyes are sensitive to light.” Yae conjured the lie.
“Well, I will be jealous too if he is handsome like that. I don’t want anyone look at him too.” Hinako said.
“Tell us your love story.” Sera exclaimed.
“No.” I refused.~"~
So, the graduation day has arrived. After receiving our diploma. We are at the school entrance, taking a picture with friends and family members. I have already decided to go to Jujutsu High, Yae and Hinako are going to the same school. Sera and Mikan are going to an all-girls school. We promised to hang out if we have time. Yae promised to spend all her school break in Jujutsu High, just for Megumi apparently.
Some of us (read: Yae) have received flowers from our juniors, and confessions from junior or classmates alike. Yae shot down everyone that confessed to her. "Yae-san, [Name]-san. Congratulations on your graduation." Megumi said as he handed us small bouquet of flowers.
"Thank you, Megumi." I smiled.
"Thank you, Megumi." Yae shot him a brilliant smile.
"By the way, [Name]-san, you are going to Jujutsu High, right?"
"Yes." I nodded. "Megumi also will be going there after you graduate middle school, right?"
"Yes. I plan to. By the way, [Name]-san, please put a leash on Gojo-sensei. He's annoying." Megumi deadpanned.
"....He is not a pet. But it's true he is annoying." I said.
"Hisaki-san!!" Someone called out.
I blink as someone I don't recognize is walking to me nervously. He is holding a diploma, that means he is also a graduating student.
"Yes?"
"Please go out with me!!" He said, quite loudly I might add. Might be due to nervousness, because his whole face and neck are red. Now the whole students are staring at us. The chatters stop as if waiting one of us to speak.
“Accept him.” One of the students said, maybe his friends?
“Accept him. Accept him.” Soon, all of them are cheering. Yae looks like ready to murder someone. “You all-“ Megumi quickly grabbed Yae’s hand and shook his head. He secretly motioning his head to a newcomer.
"Sorry, I-" I was wrapped in wisteria scent as I was pulled back to a familiar embrace.
"Sorry. This girl is my wife to be. Can you back off?" a playful light-hearted voice said.
"Eh?" (Me)
"Ha?" (Megumi)
"Ara… how quick. Congrats, I am waiting for the wedding." (Yae)
"EEEEHHHHH????" The whole students.
I tilt my head up to look at him wearing sunglasses, paired with a long-sleeved white t-shirt and pair of black slacks. His collarbone obviously exposed with the top button unbuttoned, and to finish off, he wears a more fashionable shades. His obviously grinning mischievous blue eyes stare back at me. "...Didn't I tell you not to wear sunglasses?" I raised my brow.
"But, I am meeting my [Name]-chan. Not some other girls. I have to show off sometimes too. To scare some pests." He grinned slyly. His mischievous bright blue eyes peeked out from his glasses.
"...."
"Congrats on your graduation." He patted my head. "As for your graduation gift…” He bent down so his mouth is next to my ears. “It will be me." He whispered in my ear.
As expected, right now, the female population is exclaiming how hot he is and is speculating our relationships. Didn’t they say he was lame last year? The boy in front of me too is frozen like a statue.
"You are saying this now?” I frowned.
“Hm?” He blinked at my quite unexpected reply.
“…Satoru… Aren't you already mine from the start. I mean, I am Gojo Satoru's owner." My lips curled up to a smile.
His face broke into a grin. "...Indeed." He laughed gleefully. "As expected from my wife to be."
"...Since when?"
"Eeeh? Didn't you say you will marry me? I was waiting." He whined. "Satoru, when I grow up, I will be your bride." He made that disgusting high pitched voice again.
"Maki, do you hold playful cloud. Can I borrow it. I want to smack it to Satoru's face." I am already in phone with Maki.
"Send the picture to me later." Maki said.
"[Name]-chan. You are so mean." The overgrown child whined.
"....Please talk about this kind of thing in a private place." Megumi said.
"Megumi, you are here too?" Satoru grinned.
"I will seriously punch you." Megumi said. "[Name]-san. Please control your pet."
“Truth to be told, Satoru’s entrance is quite normal.” I said.
“Which part of him is normal?” Megumi deadpanned. “But, considering his personality, this is really count as normal.” Megumi nodded.
“What kind of entrance you are thinking he would make?” Yae asked.
I look at the overgrown man, who put his head on the top of my head, casually leaning his weight to mine. “Actually, considering his personality, I was thinking he will come in holding some kind of musical instrument bag and say something let’s go home [Name]-chan, today I will have you master “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” Something like that.” I said.
“I see. This is more convincing.” They nodded.
“By the way Satoru, you are heavy.” I tried to free my trapped body.
“Nope.” So, the four of us are talking like the usual, completely ignoring the looks we are getting. And I too, completely forgotten I haven’t replied to the boy who has confessed to me.
“I am sorry. I can’t accept your confession. There will be someone who is better match for you. The world we are living is different.” I bowed a little.
“Eh? Ah. Yes.” He replied absentmindedly, obviously still shocked.
“Yae, Megumi. Let’s go home.”
“I will celebrate with Megumi alone. Satoru-san looks like he wants to take you to somewhere important.” Yae snickered. “I will celebrate with you later.” She smiled. “Let’s go Megumi.” Yae dragged the blushing boy away.
"Let's go home, Satoru." I sighed, dragging him away. He shamelessly intertwined his much longer fingers to mine.
I might not want him to attract annoying people. But the sight of Yuriko's face is refreshing. My lips curl to a smile.
"Are you happy that the gift is me?" He smirked.
"...Satoru… I am going to ignore you the whole week."
"Don't forget your promise, [Name]-chan. Tonight is movie night." He giggled.
"....I will try to act scared." I sighed. “So, where do you want to take me to? How come Yae know it?”
“You will know when we arrived.” He answered in a sing song voice. After a series of twist and turn from branded boutique to make-up salon. We have arrived in our destination. A high-class restaurant.
“…Why are we here?” I blinked.
“To celebrate your graduation of course.” Satoru chuckled at my dumb question.
“I thought we are having a movie night?” I looked at him. Again, he is drawing attention. “Haa…” I sighed.
“Don’t worry [Name]-chan, we are in private room.” He laughed as if he knew what was I thinking. I bet he knew.
We are guided to the private room. No, rather than private room, it’s more like a back garden. My eyes lit up, I take a few steps ahead. The garden is decorated beautifully. It feels like I step into some kind other realm. “You like it?”
“Yes.” I nodded, a delightful smile plastered on my face.
“That’s good.” we were seated in the middle of the garden. “You told me once you want to have dinner like this.” A cheshire cat grin on his face.
“I did?” I titled my head.
“Yep, you did.” He nodded.
“….” Who is this mature Satoru? I look at him blankly. “Satoru, did you eat wrong medicine today? Are you sick? Or perhaps you were cursed by cursed spirits?”
“How mean~. I am purrfectly fine. There’s no way I am cursed. I am the strongest. I just want to congrats my cute [Name]-chan for graduating middle school.” He pouted. His maturity has disappeared somewhere in the void.
“Thanks, Satoru.” I giggled. ~"~
[Name] 16 years old
Gojo Satoru 27years old
Geto Suguru 26 years old
"What… Did you say…?" I looked at the Masamichi sensei.
"Suguru is discovered near here and Satoru has gone to hunt him down." Sensei said one more time.
"...Satoru is hunting who…?" The world seems distorted. I put my hand on the table to steady myself. "No…" I whispered. I don't want them to fight. I don't want them to get hurt.
Few years after the incident of a star plasma vessel and the masacre in a small village. I understood why Suguru is doing this. Even so, I just don't want them to fight. Why… Why can we be together again? Just like that time. Before everything spiralled out of control.
I run out from the school. "Ijichi-san, take me to Suguru's location."
"I...am not sure where he is…"
"Then, just take me to the downtown." I said urgently. And to the downtown it is. I exit the car and start running. To where? I don't even know myself.
I don't know how long I ran. My feet seemed to bring me back to Satoru's house after aimlessly running on the street. "Satoru!" I threw open the door.
I panted as I tried to calm myself down. Satoru has just come out from shower judging by the wet hair and towel on his head. I ram myself to him, arms wrapping around his waist.
"What's wrong, [Name]-chan?" He patted my head. The usual Satoru will start teasing how much I miss him. The usual Satoru will grin and smirk at the sight of me coming to his house. The usual Satoru will… my body trembles, the tears I have been holding start flowing down, wetting his shirt. "Why are you crying again, hm?" His voice is getting softer.
"Because...hic...It's because… you didn't cry. Hic...so, I will cry… in your stead. Hic…" I hiccuped.
"...Thank you… for crying for me…"~"~
After a bout of crying, I freshen up in the shower. Even though we are neighbours, I think I spent a lot of time in Satoru's house. Half of my things are in the house. And no, we didn't sleep in the same bed anymore. I have my own room. So, the guest room became my permanent room.
"Let me dry your hair." Satoru grinned as I stepped into the living room. I sit on the couch, between his legs as he starts working his magic. Drying my hair.
The sound of the hairdryer died down. A pair of long arms wrapped around my shoulders. "Satoru…?"
"...Let me stay like this for a while… I will be back like the usual Gojo Satoru tomorrow. So… let's just stay like this for a while." Satoru murmured. His voice sounds so...broken. I have also noticed some tremble from his voice and his hands.
"Okay…"~"~
Gojo Satoru knew that Geto Suguru was lying. He knew it yet his hand shot through his friend's chest before he could stop it.
"If you didn't finish me now. The next target will be [Name]-chan. She has grown, hasn't she? The last descendant of Keikain onmyouji. I am sure she will be a great asset. At least her spiritual power is." Suguru sneered.
At that time Satoru only saw red, he must kill Suguru before he could do anything to her. And so, when he came to his hand has shot through his former partner's chest.
Suguru slump on his shoulder. "Listen well...Satoru… Protect [Name]…. As she grows up...her power...will attract...a lot of...trouble… Some...disgusting...old farts...higher ups… also consider her...to bear some...children…for them… Don't...ever let...them...lay hand...on her…. Or...I'll...come back….as cursed spirit...to haunt...you…"
"I promise… I won't let them lay hands on her...ever."
"That's...good...I'll...be...going….first...partner…" Geto Suguru breathed his last.~"~
[Name] 17 years old
Gojo Satoru 28 years old
I sit on bed, frowning. I have a feeling something really bad will happen soon. It makes me feel restless and anxious. "[Na~me]-chan. What are you thinking about?" Satoru poked my forehead.
"No...it's just I feel so uneasy and restless these days. I just have a feeling something bad will happen. I feel like I won't see you anymore." I bit my lips.
"I am not going anywhere." He sat down beside me and pulled me to his lap. His sunglasses are gone. "Even if by chance I go somewhere, I'll definitely be back to your side." He pressed a kiss to my forehead.
"...Aren't you supposed to say you are going to take me along." I pouted.
"Well, I can't take you along if I am going somewhere dangerous." He laughed.
"Hearing this from you makes me mad." I huffed.
"Eeehhh?"
"Because it feels like you are saying, I am weak." I mumbled.
"Well, you are weaker than me." He grinned. In retaliation, I pound his chest, which only serves him to laugh harder.
"But, I will certainly be back to your side. This is a promise and I am not lying. You do know I will never lie to you." He flashed me his cocky smirk.
"I know. I just don't like it if something were to happen to you." I rested my head on his broad shoulder.
"Nothing will happen to me. I am the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, Gojo Satoru." He laughed, his arm slipped under my shirt and was resting on my bare stomach.
"What are you doing, Satoru?"
"The mood is perfect." He grinned. His bright blue eyes are sparkling with mischief. "I have endured well all these years. So, I think it's time I get my reward, don't you think so?"
"Then...close your eyes." I muttered shyly.
"...." Satoru only looked at me with amusement.
"I know your six eyes will see everything, but just close your eyes." I grumbled.
"You do know that's a really pointless request. Since I can see anything, why not let me see." His smirk is back.
"S-shut up! Just close your eyes." I stuttered. My face is all red. I don't need a mirror to know.
"Okay." He relented and closed his eyes anyway.
For a good pointless measure, I cover his closed eyes with my palm and press a quick kiss to his lips.
"Y...you can open your eyes now." I stuttered. I am fidgeting right now. My eyes averted his.
"That was quite a different reward than what I had in mind. Surely, you have thought this much wouldn't satisfy me, [Name]."
When Satoru called me without any honorifics, it sent shivers down my spine, in a lot of ways. I know he wouldn't be satisfied. But, I am afraid… what if my body shape is not to his liking, what if my breasts are too small. I become self conscious. I am still wearing clothes, but I feel like I am already stark naked under his eyes. Is this some kind of Six Eyes special ability too?
"You are worrying about strange things again, aren't you? Don't think about anything else. Just think about me."
Without any warning, his lips crash down to mine. Eagerly devouring and claiming what is his. His slick tongue forced my cavern to open. "!!!" Without wasting any chance, he slipped into my mouth. "....nnn…" His slick muscle explore everything he can touch.
His scent, the familiar wisteria scent flooded all my senses. It makes my senses go into overdrive. I can't see, feel or smell anything except for him. I feel like drowning in his essence. My hands clench to a fists, grasping his clothes in my hand, making wrinkles on his perfectly ironed shirt. I stopped breathing some time ago, and now my brain is in need of oxygen. My hands are pushing him away to let me breathe.
"Breath through your nose, [Name]." He separated our lips to say that before he went back devouring it. His thumb is caressing my stomach, while the other is firmly around my waist, preventing me from escaping.
After what seemed like eternity, the kiss ceased. I pant for the much needed oxygen. My eyes watery and hot blush is coating my cheeks. The silvery string of broken saliva is the only evidence of that heated kiss, and the first evidence of many to come.
"Satoru…" I panted. My own pink muscle lolled out for him. I can clearly see every emotion he holds for me. Desire, lust, possessiveness, greed, gentleness and the glorified love. He wants to drown me in his essence and he will. "Satoru…"
"Hm?" His hand came up to hold my face. Thumb swiping my swollen lips.
"...please, be gentle with me."
And….I unknowingly set off the caged beast inside him.
          Omake
How is the movie night is actually going.
First half of the story.
“Sa-Satoru, I am scared!” I clung to his arm tightly. We are sitting on the couch with sweets littered on the coffee table.
“Don’t worry, [Name]-chan. It’s not scary at all. You see, the protagonist will be stabbed by the ghost.” He grinned fully enjoying this,”
“Why are you spoiling the story?” I hit his arm.
Second half of the story.
“Satoru, will the ghost die or the heroine die?” I asked as I munched a pocky stick. Our position has changed. Somehow, I am now sitting between his legs, still on the couch.
“They will die together.” He grabbed my hand with pocky stick and moved it to his mouth.
“Satoru, take your own sweets.” I rolled my eyes.
Credits rolling.
I have fallen asleep in that position, not caring how the story ended or post credit scene. One good thing about Satoru is he is nice makeshift pillow. I vaguely heard a good night and a forehead kiss, before I completely fallen to deep sleep.

Festival
When Sakura told him about the festival organized by Hokage to celebrate Konoha’s friendship with Kirikagure, he hadn't expected something like this. The whole thing was like a strange combination of a concert with a party and a barbecue. It was supposed to be made in the style that festivals are organized of the northern region of Water Country. He tried to escape, but as soon as they got there, his wife was kidnapped by Ino to the dance floor. In addition, his daughter was dragged by her friend to the buffet. Sasuke sat down on the bench and watched the rest from a safe distance. Yamanaka and Sakura really enjoyed themselves. Hinata and Naruto were dancing not far from them, although in the case of an idiot, dancing is too much to say. Temari and Shikadai looked much more representative than Hokage and his wife, even though Nara had an expression that clearly showed how troublesome the whole event was to him. Just like his son, who together with Inojin played some card game on one of the distant benches similar to the one on which he was sitting now. Choji was at the buffet until his wife forced him to dance. There were also three girls on the dance floor whom he knew as his daughter's friends. They danced in a small circle with Lee’s son and two boys he did not know. Boruto, who had apparently inherited his dancing skills from his mother was very popular among young kunoichi and civilian girls that came for the party. Sarada broke his deliberations as she sat down beside him with salad to eat.
-Chocho decided to teach Mitsuki how to dance ...
He looked at her, but the girl was busy separating the tomato slices from the rest of her food.
"And you don't want to join them?" He asked.
"Not really..." she replied shifting her plastic plate to him.
“Hn” he replied eating the tomatoes left by her. The head of the Uchiha family definitely understood that you might not like this type of activities. Besides, sitting next to her, he could keep an eye on the teenagers who were checking out his daughter.
They sat like that for a long time. Sarada kept staring at the dance floor while he gave a murderous glare to any boy, who wanted to approach their bench. Until Sakura came back to them. Involuntarily, all his attention shifted to her.
“Who's going to dance me?“ She asked, stretching her hands to both Uchihas, causing them a slight consternation ”I know that you want this~”
"Tch," he grunted, there was no way he could be acting like a fool in front of so many people. Fortunately, this time his wife amazing gift of persuasion lead his daughter on the dance floor. The young kunoichi seemed a little nervous at beginning, but soon she relaxed and danced to the cheerful music with her mother. He smiled gently seeing his two loved ones having a great time. However, he grimaced as soon as he saw the young Uzumaki asking his daughter to next dance. His parental instinct told him to intervene just as the music slowed down. Boruto may have been his trusted student, which did not mean that he would allow him to pick up his little peanut. However, before he managed to reach the middle of the dance floor, someone put his arm around his neck and pulled him against her body. Confused, he looked at his wife, whose face was so close to his.
“Sasuke-kun let's dance” she said in a sweet tone. He knew he was trapped. He was rarely able to deny her anything, but now he was on the mission to protect their child.
“Sakura ... I have to ...”
“Oh Anata, let them have some fun” it did not comfort him at all.
"They are 13 years old!" He gasped in disgust as he watched the idiot's son embrace Sarada around her waist.
"Exactly and I'm sure they won't do anything stupid," she said, grabbing his face, "Sasuke, look at me ..."
He looked at her green eyes, a soft smile, her hair was gathered in a loose bun. She looked lovely, as always.
“Hn.”
Sakura smiled wider and rested her head on his shoulder, and he embraced her with his only hand.
"Just relax and listen to the music" she whispered soothingly. He slowly began to relax, focusing on this moment he was spending with his wife, completely forgetting about the world around them.
.................................................. .............
She felt so awkward. Unfortunately, most of her interactions with Boruto lately have been terribly awkward. She wasn't sure when it started, they had been friends for as long as she could remember, but since when she began to be so aware of their every touch. Since when sight of his blue eyes made her heart beat like mad. Since when did he take over hers thoughts? At first she had no idea what was happening to her, but over time her mind found a terrifying explanation ... She was in love with her teammate. What’s worse, she thought that he noticed this, because he has recently acting really strange towards her. She couldn't let her stupid hormones destroy their  the most important friendship. Even though Boruto was annoying he was her best friend, she couldn't lose him.
“Thanks for the help. I thought they won’t leave me alone!” Hers thoughts were interrupted by his voice. He was right in front of her, his hands holding her waist, while she had no idea what to do with her hands on his shoulders.
"That's what teammates are for, right?" She smiled nervously. Her eyes fell on the group of girls glaring enviously in their direction. As the son of the Hokage, Boruto has always attracted attention. With his character, he made new friends easily, and being handsome, he also made his own fan club in the village. Civilian girls and students of the last grades of the academy, to the genins and younger chunins of their village. Sarada never paid much attention to her appearance. Her clothes needed to be comfortable and neat. She didn't think she was pretty or ugly. She thought she was average, but now she felt insecure. All these girls were really pretty, and she ... she wondered if he find her pretty... Tch... annoying ...
“Is everything okay? “she realized that she had been staring at his shirt for several seconds, and how stiff her whole body was “ I know that the music is a little bit boring, but maybe you want share with me another dance ?” he added, smiling in the same way he always did when he was cheering her up. She couldn't help but smile back.
"Are you sure your fans will allow it?" She teased. The boy just rolled his eyes.
"I should have asked you at the beginning, they are too aggressive ..." he said and she blushed. Even if it's stupid, his words made her happy. When the band started to play something faster, she relaxed a bit. To her surprise, Boruto was very good at dancing and she was able to predict his movements as good as when they fought together. She quickly forgot about her worries. They danced and fooled around. She didn't notice when one song turned into two and then three ... When the melody slowed down again, she wasn't sure how much they danced together. He hugged her waist, but this time they were even closer together. They were both out of breath, as after hard trending. Feeling more confident, she embraced his neck. Looking at him like that, she felt week. He looked so handsome in the suit. In addition, the pink shirt highlighted his blue eyes. Her attention finally caught his lips. She began to wonder what it would be like to kiss him. Their faces were centimetres apart, it would not be difficult to... Suddenly she felt strongly embarrassed by her own thoughts. To avoid doing something stupid (and to hide the flush on her face), she leaned her head against his shoulder, lightly tucking her face against his neck. They swayed slightly to the sounds of a quiet ballad, and although her heart was pounding, she felt wonderful. His presence always gave her a sense of security, he smelled of a combination of the scent of the sea with some cologne probably borrowed from his dad, and his body gave her a pleasant feeling of warmth that she could stay that way forever. However, before the song ended, the boy suddenly moved away from her. She looked at him confused, and he smiled and scratched his head nervously.
“ Aren't you thirsty? I saw a Bubble Tea booth here ... let's go ... “before she could answer, he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the stalls behind the stage. She wasn't sure what to think about it.
.................................................
The situation was bad. He was sweaty and nervous and felt like he was about to pass out. That's not good way to impress a girl that you maybe have a crush on..
"Are you okay?", She asked when they reached the booth.
"Sure, of course, why are you asking?", He blurted out a little too quickly.
"Um ... You're still holding my hand" he get even more nervous, for two months now, he had been trying to invite her for date... like date date. The problem is that despite how intelligent, person she is. Sarada remained absolutely unaware of his attempts to flirt. The little fan club following him everywhere didn't help. The problem was also that the Uchiha did not seem to notice that she herself was attracting the attention of more and more men. It started after the chunin exam, when his classmates started to have a crush on her. At first it seemed silly to him, after all, it's not that she has changed somehow. However, he quickly began to be disturbed by the boys who were courting her. He felt some strange need to protect her from them. Only after a few months he did realize that he was jealous ...
“Do you want me to stop?” The girl was silent for a long time, and he thought that he would pass out.
"No ... it's okay ..." She replied without looking at him.
"So what for you?", He asked, looking at the blackboard with flavours.
“Black tea with kumquat and passion fruit boba.”
Hearing this, he ordered two drinks, mango and tapioca for himself. He then ignored Sarada's pout as he paid for both of them and the teasing smile the guy sent them. Even after they got their drinks, his friend didn't let go of his hand. It gave him courage.
“Let’s look for a place where we can clearly see the fireworks?”
“Hn. Something far from this crowd ...” she replied finishing her tea and throwing the cup into the trash can on the path leading into Senju Park. He couldn't take his eyes off her. She was wearing a summer dress with spaghetti straps with a pleated skirt that ended just above her knee. It was red with a navy blue belt emphasizing her waist. She looked cute and beautiful, red was definitely her colour. However, as darkness fell, the temperature dropped sharply, and he was able to notice that her arms began to tremble. He took off his jacket and covered her shoulders with it.
“Well, who would have thought that you are a such gentleman ...” she teased.
"As always, of course," he replied, adoring her.
"You're sure you won't be cold," she asked, changing her tone to concerned. She always cared about others. It was one of things that make him love her. He still felt a little lost in his feelings, but he had to tell her before someone else do this before him.
"Sarada ..." he began, but suddenly they heard a loud sound. His friend, frightened, made a very not-ninja-like movement, bumping into him. Instinctively, he grabbed her by the waist and searched for the source of the noise to see colourful lights in the sky. They both burst out laughing, when they saw that they were scared of the fireworks. The colours began to light up the sky creating fantastic patterns. He looked back at her. She looked at the sky with a smile, colours shone in her black irises, giving her an almost mystic appearance. Their eyes met, and for the second time this evening he felt like a force was drawing him to her. Sarada, to his surprise, also moved closer. He wasn't sure which of them closed the gap between them. Their first kiss was soft, short, and rather clumsy, but it was also the greatest feeling of his life. When he opened his eyes, he saw her biting her lip with a slight flush on her face. He wanted to say something but heard someone's loud grunt. He felt himself freeze as he noticed purple-red eyes staring at him ...
.....................................
It was supposed to be a quiet dance party and it was like that until her husband and Naruto decided to compete in which of them is the best dancer. Unfortunately, despite their great efforts, none of them proved to be really gifted. All the competition only took their time and energy. They were supposed to go home after the fireworks, but Sarada was nowhere to be found and when they finally find them, they accidentally turned out to witness their daughter's first kiss. While Sakura herself found it cute, her husband didn't take it so easily. However, before he did something stupid, his daughter stood between him and Boruto, also with an active sharingan. It make Sasuke freeze. All he said was they were coming home.
Sarada answered him only with a short "Tch" but after saying goodbye to Uzumaki, she returned home with them. Unfortunately, she now had two pouted Uchihas in the house. Sarada immediately ran to her room, while her husband stayed downstairs in the kitchen complaining about protecting some innocent peanuts? She couldn't help but sigh. Tomorrow she would have to talk to them seriously.

Funny how things change over time – from Uchiha Sasuke, youngest heir among the biggest clan in Konohagakure, most handsome, the brightest, the one with highest potential to Uchiha Sasuke, the traitor.
It has become difficult to stay beside Haruno Sakura, the girl who bugged him to no end at the academy but now the world-renowned medical ninjutsu specialist, the peak flower of the Hidden Leaf Village, the most beautiful and the strongest but also the woman he loves.
Her admirers flock daily to the village’s hospital where she is the head of medical corps, and to her and Ino’s newly established mental facility. These so-called patients have a unique array of illnesses which often end up with a scolding prescription rather than a real medical certificate. He wonders if he deserves to monopolize her affections.
These thoughts stay with him even if she spends nights in his state-sanctioned apartment, her steady breaths against his chest, and her hair splayed between his fingers, even if she prepares him bento boxes for lunch as he gets ready to spend the whole day briefing the council of elders of his missions, even if she kisses him in the shower before leaving. No one knew they were even together. This is a burden he had to carry – the stigma of his name, the inability of society to forgive, the consensus that he doesn’t belong.
And so it catches him off guard when Sakura brings up the summer festival. “I already picked out a fabric for my yukata. It’s so pretty I don’t want it to go to waste.” She bats him with her puppy eyes impression – her emerald irises jumping at his defenses.
“Sakura,” he starts as he reaches for her hands on the couch. “I want to but you know how it is.”
“And you know how I don’t care about any of that, right?” She looks at their intertwined fingers, and she blushes, quite not used to with their intimacy although they are already quite far in that particular journey. “I just want to see the fireworks…together.”
“We can see the fireworks together. They’re on the same sky anyway.”
Sakura lifts her fingers away from his grasp. “I’ve spent countless summers watching them alone. Now you’re here, and you don’t even want to go. I think I’m gonna sleep early.”
She’s angry. Sasuke finishes creating new storage scrolls and climbs on the bed with her. He hugs her with his lone arm and breathes in the fading lavender scent on her hair. “Maybe I can compromise.”
Sasuke apologizes with a fancy dinner the next day, and by dinner, that meant miso soup, grilled mackerel, kani salad, and her favorite – blueberry muffins. Sakura beams seeing the freshly baked dessert on their table. She also sees two masks on the edge, the compromise he talked about while she was already drowsy in slumber.
He holds them up – a fox and a dragon – and he is rewarded with a grin. “Wear your yukata tomorrow, Sakura.”
--------
She is beautiful, she has always been, and he loved her long pink hair ever since they met. When she cut it off in the Forest of Death, he felt a slight of pang of loss, even more so when it was because of him. Finally grown to her waist, she lets them down for the night in a long single braid adorned with cherry blossoms and her fringes clipped to the side with two butterfly pins. Her yukata, white and adorned with stars, fits her like second skin. She is beautiful.
They walk together hand in hand in the lantern-lit street filled with the crowd. No one actually pays them attention, everyone is too busy catching fish, playing shooting games, and trying all food stalls. They find a space on the riverbank, and they sit together on the grass, hands still clasped with each other.
“Are you happy?” Sasuke asks behind his mask. He slightly regrets this arrangement since he cannot see her expression, and Sakura has these charming microexpressions, like she wears her heart on her sleeve, an open page for everyone to read.
Before she could say anything, a pair of young men also dressed in yukata taps her shoulder. Sasuke immediately lets go of her hand.
“Dr. Haruno! We were right to come tonight. You never fail to go to summer festivals.”
Sakura takes off her mask and smiles back at them. “How did you know it was me?”
“We can spot your pink hair anywhere, Ma’am.”
“We can immediately see you in the sea of crowd. Do you need company?”
“It would be sad to see your outfit go unappreciated.”
Sasuke can feel a headache coming on. He is never the jealous type but the audacity of these kids to hit on Sakura.
She tilts her head, and her voices takes on an apologetic tone. “I’m actually with someone.” To drive the point further, she reaches for his hand and returns her fingers to where they were before they came. “You can enjoy the rest of the festival.”
Sasuke eyes them through his mask, and true enough, they are unperturbed because why would Sakura spend this important social evening with someone hiding behind a prop. But they eventually leave, knowing when to respect her wishes and knowing what happens if they don’t.
More people start filling the riverbank, indicating the start of the fireworks. Sakura eases in closer to him and wraps her arm with his. To their surprise, an elderly man sits beside Sasuke and waves to Sakura.
“Dr. Haruno.” He surmises this must be a previous patient of hers.
“It’s nice to see you with company this year. I was actually thinking of introducing my son to you later this month.”
Sakura chuckles, sensing the annoyance ooze out from Sasuke. “Oh my, there’s no need.”
“I see that. You look happy, happier than I’ve seen you in the past years,” the old man remarks then he fixes his gaze on the man beside him. “You.”
Sasuke slightly shifts to face him and bows in respect. “Good evening, Sir.”
“I’ve seen this girl come to the summer festival every year without fail. She would sit on the riverbank, her hair done up, with some makeup on, and wait for the fireworks. And when they finally light up, she would allow herself to cry, hiding her tears in the celebration, thinking no one looks beside them when the sky is showered with beautiful explosions. I sometimes think why the hell would a gorgeous girl spend the festival like that and watch fireworks with her eyes on the ground. And this year again, she’s here. You better not make her cry.”
“Oji-chan, you can stop now. You’re traumatizing my date,” Sakura lightly protests. She gives him a smile and words a soundless thank you.
“My child, he deserves to know. Anyway, I’ll leave you two and my knees are starting to hurt again.” The old man starts to get up, but he stares openly at Sasuke, piercing the mask barrier with a glare. “I’m serious though, you better not make this girl cry again.”
Sakura laughs and pulls Sasuke tighter. “Of course, he won’t. You come visit me tomorrow Oji-chan so I can prescribe you some meds. Okay?”
The old man pats the top of Sakura’s head and walks away into the crowd. The countdown starts from the opposite of the riverbank, and they hear the explosion. Colors burst into the velvet sky, and her emerald eyes follow the bright traces of the sparkling lights.
Sasuke slowly lifts off his mask and places it on the grass. He foregoes the sight above and focuses on the one beside him, memorizing every line on her face, committing them to his memory, savoring the awed glint in her eyes. He stays like that for the duration of the show without care for anyone who might have recognized him.
She finally notices his look and shifts her attention. He lets go of her hand and allows his fingers to tuck a stray strand behind her ear then he brings her closer to him and plants a soft kiss on her lips, their first public kiss, shrouded comfortably by the distracted crowd and the ephemeral lights above.
“I love you,” he whispers against her ear, and she responds by leaning against his chest with his arm around her, enjoying the last seconds of the show, a giddy smile on her face.

You’ve never actually seen Miya Atsumu and his girlfriend.
This was your first time today during Sugawara’s house party, Daiki had forced you to go and insisted that the three of them needed to have their manly bonding time (it actually only consisted of stuffing themselves with junk food and watching shounen animes), “...Also don’t you want to bond out with your ex-boyfriend that you chose over me? I’m hurt, I didn't know you like fake blonde volleyball players.” he fake-sniffled, in which you replied with an arched brow.
You didn’t know how he ended up knowing about Atsumu, you were expecting a talk from him but he simply shrugs it off and says, “No matter how much I tell you that you should tell him, you won’t listen. So I won’t bother wasting my breath, just know that you’re being selfish by denying these boys the right to have a father and you're denying that blonde shrimp to be a dad too.”
“Y/N-san, I’m surprised you came!” Sugawara grins.
“Daiki took charge of the kids.” You replied, fiddling with the keys in your hand.
“He looks very reliable.” the teacher exclaims, handing you a drink in which you completely deny because you weren’t very good with alcohol, “You guys would make a great couple!”
“Oh,” You voiced, you were very familiar with those words, many people had always thought you and Daiki would make a good pair. It was definitely a shock to many when they found out you were pregnant and that the basketball player was not the father despite being there most of the times, “I’ve never seen him that way.”
“He did mention that, he even openly confessed to Miya-san that he’s jealous of how he was your first boyfriend.”
You choked on your saliva, that fucking sly bastard-
“Anyways, make yourself comfortable! I have to go say hi to my old friends from college!” he exclaims, patting your shoulder. You immediately turn around to find Miya Atsumu cozying up with a beautiful girl in his arms.
Ah, that must’ve been the beautiful model with legs for days.
“You’re kind of staring.” comes a very familiar voice.
You want to roll your eyes but you decided against it, “I didn’t know you and Sugawara-san were close, Inunaki-san.” you greeted your annoying senior.
“Suga-san’s a friend to the whole team…” he grins, “Also, I’m just here to warn you that Osamu might be here later, he’s not as nice as Atsumu towards you.”
“You don’t have to remind me.”
“Come to think of it,” Shion Inunaki paused, tapping his chin in deep thought, “Atsumu still follows you around like a lost puppy. He’s been spending his off days with you instead of his girlfriend. I’m actually surprised he even brought her here today.”
“What are you implying?” You reply, feigning ignorance.
“Ah, L/N-san. I love how you still don’t care about my kohai’s feelings up till now.” He grinned, sarcasm oozing out of his sentence.
“Don’t be silly.” You glazed,“What feelings would there be but hatred?”
“It’s anything but that, L/N-san.” he turns to you, hand on his hip, “Even I don’t get why he’s so into you after all this time and the shit you put him through. He’s got someone better in front of him. Physical looks and emotionally speaking, Ri-chan’s a whole lot better than you… No offense…”
You knew he was rubbing salt to the injury but you couldn’t really bring yourself to argue with him, after all, he was right at the most part (you technically considered yourself as the big bad villainous ex in Atsumu’s life)
“You sound like those girls who used to threaten me back then when I was dating Miya-san.” You replied coolly, Inunaki even notices the amusement dripping in your tone, it's as if he hadn’t insulted you right at the face and called you a lesser being, “It’s almost pathetic.”
Tumblr media
You ended up on the balcony right after, so much for trying to socialize, who were you kidding? It’s good you manage to escape the scene before Osamu could see you there, you couldn’t handle Inunaki and the grey-haired twin together. Thank god that Aran wasn’t around the area.
“Figured you’d be here.”
You turn to find the one and only source of all your problems these days, Miya Atsumu, you narrow your eyes in annoyance, “You should leave, people will get the wrong idea.” You simply replied, “I’m not in the mood to be in the middle of that.”
“I just came here because I wanted to apologize about that night with your brat.” the blonde casually leans against the doorway, “It was my fault for riling him up.”
“Yuuto has a temper, he’s more of his otosan than me.”
“What was he like?”
“Who?”
“The bastard that you miss, those brats father…”
You tilt your head and press your lips together, surprised by his choice of words, “Special.” you openly-confessed as you gaze at the very man in front of you. Oh, the irony of it all.
How you wish it was that easy to let go of all your fears and anxiety, if you had told him six years ago about your pregnancy, would your life probably be different? What if you told him now? How would he feel?
“He’s lucky,” he admits, gaze fixed on you, “I mean - other than the part that he died  - he was a lucky guy, Y/N.”
It dawned upon you that moment that this had been the first conversation you had with your ex that held no hatred, malice, or anger. He seemed to be slowly accepting the fact that you wanted to do nothing with him. Like you, he had no choice but to move on.
“ ‘Tsumu! What the fuck you moping around alone for up there? You got a girlfriend here!” Osamu calls down from below. You both snap back to reality at his brother's voice, “Guess that’s my cue to leave, I’ll see you around, Y/N.” he uttered softly and as he turned away, you suddenly spoke out.
“I’m sorry.” He freezes in place, somehow this apology seemed different than the rest, “I know I’ve said that a lot these past few weeks and that night but I want you to know that every apology was genuine. I just, I’m not very-”
“I know.” He suddenly turns to you, the very familiar and warm grin that you're accustomed to decorates his features and you feel like its that night in fall and you're back in college again, “I guess I was so wrapped up in wanting to get an emotion out of you that I hadn’t  realized, it’s not you if you did that. You always had trouble expressing yourself naturally to people after all.”
You feel your insides clamp and your lips tremble lightly, you feel the air turn heavy around you. How is that he was always the one pulling the strings and doing all the work between you two? How could he forgive you this easily?
“Don’t be silly. What feelings would there be but hatred?”
“It’s anything but that, L/N-san.”
“I’m proud that you’re trying hard for your kids though,” He chuckles, “Those brats are lucky they get to see all sides of you everyday.”
“Yeah.”
“Well, Goodnight, Y/N.”
“Goodnight.” you muttered, watching his figure walk away and vanish in the dark, leaving you all alone in the night of spring.
“...I now pronounce you husband and wife…”
You stare at your father and his new wife looking at each other with complete love and adoration, something you never saw when you were growing up. It sickened you to the point that you turn slightly pale and feel the bile on your throat rise. You watch them exit the church as sakura petals fall, the idea of a picture perfect wedding and happily ever after like the fairytale books you used to scorn when you were a child.
You loathed it.
He even had the audacity to invite you and your mother. She ended up not going and was probably drowning herself in cheap saki at home.
You sat at the back during the reception, along with the people who were not exactly ‘close’ to the bride-groom. You feel like an utter fool, why were you even here? You should’ve gone home or attended that stupid party and get stupid drunk with people you barely knew like your mother.
Yeah, that’s right.
You’d rather be there than here.
“Ah,” you hear a glass clink, you saw one of your dad’s friends stand up, ready to make a speech, “First off, I’d like to congratulate my friend. Finally!” laughter resonates throughout the room but you don’t follow suit, instead, you hold onto the wine glass tightly as if you don’t like where this was going, “I know how unhappy you were back then but ever since you met Yui-chan, your life seemed to have become better. I could never be more proud!”
You could feel yourself getting sicker by the moment, especially after you heard the words you dreaded to hear the most, “Let’s not make anymore mistakes shall we?” he jokes.
All you could see was red right after, grabbing your clutch on the table as you made a haste exit. Was this the reason he invited you? To shove it on your face that you were a mistake made?
That you shouldn't have been born?
You ended up breaking a heel and tripping on your own feet soon after, shakily, you adjust your posture and sat at the concrete for a few moments, trying to gather yourself but desperately failing, "I didn't… I didn't ask to be born too, you know?" You murmured to yourself bitterly.
You let it all out, it shouldn't have hurt to be called a mistake. You were an adult already for crying out loud! Yet when they toss that word around like it was nothing especially at that wedding, you feel like you're eight years old again and you're hearing your own mother curse at you for being born into this world, the harsh words she said were as clear as the day, "if you probably hadn't been born, we would've been happier. We'd have better lives, Y/N. So don't go around and cry and think you got it bad, you hear me? Your sadness is nothing compared to ours. It's nothing, Y/N. So stop being ungrateful."
You ended up at the frat house that night, people would occasionally glance at your disheveled state but you just downed the alcohol, ignoring their stares as usual  and when you get a text from your mother asking why you left the wedding so early in such a manner, you feel the pent-up emotions bubbling within you again.
Blocking her number and taking one last swig of the cheap vodka in your hands, you head up to one of the rooms upstairs. You hold it all in well, you don't want to showcase such things to strangers. You feel the alcohol and emotion about to hit you when you open a door that you thought would be your safe space for the next ten minutes but you're immediately greeted by two people on the bed, ready to hit it off and have a good time.
"O-Oh sorry… I-Wrong room...” you stammered, lips quivering and small tears escaping since you couldn't hold it in anymore. You immediately bolted out the door, So much for sobering up and crying by yourself for ten minutes, you might as well call Daiki, maybe he was available-
“Hey! Y/N!” a very familiar and a very unexpected voice calls out your name on the quiet street.
You hesitantly turn only to find your project partner and classmate standing there, a bit out of breath as if he had just squeezed through the very crowded party in a hurry, you're confused by his actions. You weren’t exactly close? What was he doing?
“Hey.” he softly says, taking out a handkerchief from his pocket to hand it to you. You hesitantly look at it and take it from his grasp as you try to get rid of the runny mascara. You're taken aback by his kind actions so far, although he had always been nice and tried to make conversations with you, you weren’t exactly very participative and it had always been one-sided on his part.
When he suddenly stopped talking to you recently, you didn’t bother to initiate anymore because you didn’t want to get more involved with people like him.  It’s not like he was a bad person, per say, he just had such a loud presence that made everyone stop and stare. You weren’t exactly a big fan of those kinds of people (save for daiki since you grew up with him)
“Come on, Y/N.” the blonde sighs, taking off his jacket to place it on you, “Let's take you home.”
"You don't have to."
"You look like shit, Y/N. I’m not takin' no for an answer" Atsumu points out forwardly, "Actually, before we head home lets disinfect that wound, yeah?"
"Miya-san, I-" you tried to tell him you were fine but he didn’t seem to be having it.
"Atsumu." He corrects, despite his forwardness and brash attitude, you know he means well, "You let me call you by your first name so please don't call me Miya-san, sounds fuckin weird coming from ya."
You're thankful that he doesn't pry or ask questions about why you looked like this. He just mumbles throughout your whole journey that you shouldn't wear heels when you can't even walk on them. You also start to notice the slight accent from his tone when he got annoyed by your insistence that you were alright, you had always thought that he was a city boy with the way he carried himself.
When you arrive at the drugstore, he pays for the necessities himself despite you protesting again and even buys you a sugar-free treat on top of that, "You said you were diabetic one time." He shrugs off as he lets you sit on the concrete steps.
“Oh,” You faltered, “You remembered.”
“It’s one of the few things you said. You don’t talk to me that much so it's not hard to remember the things you say.”
“Sorry.” You tried to apologize, brows furrowed in deep thought and the only reply you got was a gleeful laughter from the blonde setter.
“You don’t really mean that do you?” he observed but he didn't look insulted by it at all, instead he seemed amused by it, “Don’t sweat it, Y/N. My twin told me I could be an annoying shit at times.”
“No,” you mused, “Not at all, you’re not annoying.”
Atsumu stares at you right in the eye, his corners crinkling just a bit as the amused smile never leaves his features, you’re starting to like it when you see him smile that way, it reminded you a lot of the youth you craved for, the problematic-free youth that you wanted and wished, “Is it safe to say that you don’t mind my company?” he guessed.
“Well, you’re here now and I haven’t left you.”
He doesn’t reply,  instead he bends down to your level and takes the antiseptic and band-aids from your hands. Before you could object, the setter dabs it on your wound and as you seethe quietly in pain, he blows on it. You’re getting more and more perplexed by his actions tonight especially with the words he says next, “I may not be close with you to know what happened tonight but I hope I made you feel a little bit better, Y/N.”
Tumblr media
The next time you see the professional volleyball player is at work,You’re tasked to send out some documents to your boss again and it just so happens they’re wrapping up the shoot for the advertisement at the studio.
Something’s different now.
After your little talk with him at the terrace, the air around you doesn’t feel tight, your anxiety around him seems to decrease, and your feet doesn’t get cold anymore. Of course, Inunaki would throw in a jab or insult but you took it like a good sport and didn’t bother with him.
“Ah, L/N-san! How are the boys?” Hinata jumps up and down excitedly as he sees you enter the studio, you still couldn’t get used to this big (small) bundle of energy.
“They’re doing fine, Hinata-san.”
“Oho, L/N-san, you’re looking better these days.” Inunaki teased, you gave him a brief nod and just ignored the jab, Atsumu slaps his seniors back in retaliation, “You’re not the one she broke up with Inu-san.” he joked, “Hey L/N-san.”
“Miya-san.” You greeted.
“Does Yuuto still want to skewer me like a kebab?”
“He feels sad that he wasn’t able to say sorry to you before you left.” You replied, a hint of amusement laced on your tone as you recalled Yuuto frowning on the dinner table the night before because Sugawara had informed the club members that Hinata and Atsumu wouldn’t be visiting as much because training was about to start.
“Shame, wanted to see that brat say sorry too.” He let out a grin, your conversation is cut short though when a new presence joins the room.
“Oh, Riku-chan!” Inunaki calls out.
You lick your dry lips as you see the very beautiful and tall raven-haired woman approach you, wow, Miya Atsumu outdid himself with this one. You recalled her being on Vogue magazine once and on tv a few times as a fashion model of an underwear brand.
“Oh, hey babe.” Atsumu greets, you note how stiff he became. He probably thought this would be an uncomfortable situation. The woman, unlike you, was very open with her affection. She gave him a brief kiss on his jaw.
Hinata greets her and you’re left wondering if you should excuse yourself before you could make Atsumu more uncomfortable by your presence but Inunaki, being an asshole, decides to make the choice for you, “L/N-san, this is Miyazaki Riku! I’m sure you know her, she’s a supermodel!” he introduces you to her.
“Good day.” You greet the model.
She tilts her head slightly, “Have we met before? You look very familiar.”
“She was my kohai back in Uni and Atsumu’s classmate!” Inunaki grins, patting your back, you hold back a glare since you didn’t want to make it more awkward than it was.
“Oh?” she chirped, immediately letting go of Atsumu’s hand, she grabbed onto yours, “What was he like? I bet he was so cool and chic back then too!”
Chic and Cool?
Memories of a rather clumsy and corny Miya Atsumu in college slowly wormed its way to your head and out of nowhere, you burst into a low chuckle. Inunaki was startled by the sudden reaction and Atsumu feels his insides mush up when he hears that very rare sound, “Yeah,” you croaked, shortly after recovering from your small laugh, “Definitely chic and cool.”
“That’s so cool! I definitely want to hear stories about you back in college, baby!”
“Maybe some other time,” you voice is back to its smooth and cool tone, realizing that you needed to leave from this uncomfortable conversation and start your job, “I have to finish up my work here and get home early.”
“That’s a shame, I could definitely tell you guys were close.” a frown tugs her lips as she notices how quick you were to say goodbye to her, “Bye, L/N-san!”
After that rather dry and one-sided enthusiastic conversation, you finish your work quickly and Daiki messages you just in time that he and the boys would pick you up, you say your goodbyes to your director, the staff, and the volleyball team. You don’t notice the lingering gaze of Atsumu as you left nor do you notice Inunaki telling him that he’s got his girlfriend right in front of him and he shouldn’t look your way.
They shortly wrap up right after and they’re ready to go home. After deciding that they’d all grab a good meal together (much to sakusa’s dismay), Atsumu feels his mood lighten up as they exit the studio to see you standing there along with Yuuto, unwrapping his onigiri. As he’s about to call the brat to talk to him and even drop in to say hi to you, he sees a familiar tall figure emerge from the convenience store with Youta in his arms.
The blonde decides against it.
“...You always had trouble expressing yourself naturally to people after all.”
He watches the interaction from afar and notes how easy it was for the man to interact with you, he even catches on an amused smirk from you as the man tries to tell you a joke, “Is that L/N-san?” he hears Riku ask, “I didn’t know she had a family, that’s so cute!”
Atsumu doesn’t really know what to say as he watches the domestic scene unfold in front of him, he was trying to move on, wasn’t he? Yet why can’t he look away?
“Baby? You alright there? You’ve been staring at the empty space for a while.” Riku calls out, sounding a bit worried as she snaps him out of his daze. You were already gone, probably far off with that scrub and the brats.
“I’m good.” he tried to affirm himself, wishing it was true, “I’m good.”

Naruto takes that might enrage you (girl addition)
Warning, some of these takes might enrage you- that’s fine.
Fillers don’t count as canon, don’t even bring them up if you talk about this post lol. Also it’s been a while since I’ve seen the whole series, so some of these might be disproven as I continue with my rewatch. The excuse that Shounen is for boys is also very weak and holds no weight, as tons of girls (and nonbinary folk) relate to the characters in this show, so that doesn’t excuse Kishimoto for his weak writing of women.
To preface, I love this show. Love it to pieces. It was part of my childhood and holds a very special place in my heart. But there are some things I personally don’t like or wish could have been done better. I love every character and will go blue in the face talking about how much I still love this show. That doesn’t free it from my criticism. I’m also only listing what I don’t like and what I would change, though I’d be more than happy making a post about what I loved.
Let’s start off with my girl Sakura Haruno. She is easily the most hated girl in the series, and all because of how ‘weak’ or ‘annoying’ she is. As if that’s not the fault of Kishimoto himself lol. She was shoved off to the side continuously and never given cool storylines, unlike the other members of her team.
What I took issue with about Sakura:
-What were this girls dreams?? The whole reason she became a ninja was never really talked about nor were they really developed as time went on. She was all about Sasuke, which would be fine if she grew out of it. But no.
-Her crush on Sasuke was super stale. He was handsome and powerful, but what else was there to him? He was a jerk to her most of the time (there are some instances he’s somewhat kind to her, but if we go off canon, it’s not enough to make her deep love make sense). I think it would have been so much more interesting to see her grow out of her infatuation for him. If they had to have ended up together, watching them relearn each other and fall in love would have made them more compelling. She stayed loving a boy who thought very little of her.
-She’s pitted against her best friend and doesn’t develop much of a relationship with other girls her age. It’s kind of sad, and I think they should have fought over something other than a boy.
-We are told repeatedly that she’s super powerful by other characters, but she’s never given time to truly shine. She got like a single battle with Sasori and she deserved more cool moments like that!
-She was a healer, which makes perfect sense. But why is it mostly girls who are the healers? It’s a bit weird, when there’s also Neji with his perfect chakra control. She only has her healing abilities and her super strength; but even then someone like Kabuto has more offensive healing based techniques than her. Like his chakra scalpel.
What I would fix:
-New dreams. Show her find a dream outside of her team and grow into it. Also give her more of a backstory. Sai has more of a backstory than she does and he’s way newer than she is.
-I would let her fuck up one of the Peins instead of Konohomaru- she’s a main character and passed over for that little brat?? She should have gotten to do more than scream out for Naruto and heal people :/
-She her intellect a bit more. She’s so smart, and yet we don’t really see it.
-She’s perfect for genjutsu, Kakashi himself said so. So why not give that to her? Or play more with ninjutsu. She has earth and water on her chart, so why not give her those abilities? Maybe even wood jutsu to even her out with her super OP teammates. Idk how, it could have happened, this is a show full of demons and god like abilities, it could have happened someway.
-She should have grown out of Sasuke and not married a man who doesn’t really appreciate her and isn’t there for her at all.
-I would totally have expanded on Inner Sakura more. Imagine if it made her mind impenetrable? Could have woven that in with her skills for genjutsu and made her unaffected by other’s illusions.
Next, let’s go with a more beloved character of the fandom. Hinata. Now personally I don’t care much for her- she could have been so cool but just like Sakura, they kind of messed her up.
What I didn’t like about Hinata:
-Her entire existence is revolves around Naruto. Naruto this, Naruto that- and yet she simply sat back and watched as his life was shit and did nothing despite her ‘love’ for him. And then fillers/movies are added to show that oh wait! she’s been there this entire time!! no lol. Build her up from the start as his love interest at the very least.
-She stayed super meek the entire time. Shy girls are okay, but I wanted to see her grow into herself more and not need as much reassurance. She’s a ninja and should stand on her own two feet more.
-She’s less skilled then Neji and I would have loved to see her outmatch him at some point, even once. Or gain abilities outside of her clan, or do something that made a name for herself outside of being the heiress of the Hyuga.
-She never fixed her clan which was one of her few spoken goals. That was a huge bummer.
-I think it would have been cool to see her mess up Pein a little more. She only stepped in because it was Naruto, which reinforces that she’s only about him. But at least let her land a hit if she’s as powerful as people say she is.
-She makes the most sense to be a housewife or a healer with the way her attitude is but in Boruto, she’s kind of rewritten to be a ‘scary’ mother which just doesn’t fit her. Plus, she tells Boruto to go and take care of his dad?? Bro, that’s your child and your husband is the hokage.
What I’d fix:
-Prove her dad wrong and show him that her compassion isn’t a weakness but a strength.
-Fix the Hyuga clan bs.
-More character growth and showing more of her life away from Naruto. Her romance with him could also have been better. I hated her always watching him but never standing up for him, it kills me.
-Neij dying for her proved their clans hierarchy bs to be right and it just doesn’t make sense for him to die for her. It showed that he was right to feel caged and that he simply existed for the benefit of the Main family.
Now with the others, there’s much less I have to say about them because they aren’t main characters or the love interests.
Ino-
-Jealous of Sakura, no dreams of her own, stupidly loves Sasuke and for what? WHAT’S SO COOL ABOUT HIM?
-I like her growth for the most part, it was cool watching her fight in the War Arc with her team.
-Why is she the medical ninja? I never got that.
-She got with Sai but they didn’t really show their development and how they fell in love with each other. It’s like she only likes him because he looks like Sasuke and called her pretty once.
Tenten-
-Should have gotten to train with Tsunade at some point, since she was the one who originally idolized her.
-We know nothing about this girl at all. She doesn’t even have a last name.
-Her weapon usage was meant to be so cool and yet she missed so often- there’s a disconnect there. Her abilities could have been built up more. Imagine if no matter what she never ever missed. That would have been cool.
-Her weapon shop isn’t doing well. Just because it’s an era of peace doesn’t mean the need for weapons is totally over, not if there are still active ninja??
Karin-
-I actually like her, she’s kind of funny and I like that she’s mean even if she can get annoying.
-Again, another healer, though she’s also sensory which is more interesting. I’d like to see her with some jutsus though. That would have been neat.
-Her love for Sasuke makes sense since he saved her and smiled at her, making her think of him as her hero. And she’s the only one he apologizes to without Naruto strong arming him into it.
Temari-
-She’s pretty solid in my opinion. Though I would have loved to see her more without her brothers.
Konan-
-Her goals in life were to support Yahiko and Nagito’s dreams. It would irritate me so much if other girls in the series were more well rounded and din’t also have some sort of dream involving a boy.
-She was underused. I would have loved to see her fight more.
Tsunade-
-Only becomes hokage to support others dreams...All of them men. And then later passes the title onto Kakashi who doesn’t even want to be Hokage either.
-No other justus used, she’s on par with Jiraya and Orochimaru and yet she’s only super strong and the best medic. She should theoretically be more well rounded than that, right? She also should be shown fighting more even if she’s a medic, she’s also s legendary sannin
-Had to be saved by 12 year old Naruto. I know it’s a show about him, but she’s meant to be a literal badass but needs a kid to save her.
Kushina-
-Wanted to become the first woman hokage and then didn’t. Her husband did. and then she became a housewife?? What?? She should have become the first woman hokage with a badass husband or had another prominent role in the village like as a council member or something.
Kurenai-
-Always lost a fight? She’s some genjutsu using badass but always lost fights.
-No real personality, she’s just chilling there. Sexy as hell though. Has a kid and that’s about it.
-What I will give her is that I’m so glad she was allowed to age. So many anime mothers always look the same as their teenage self and she looks like she can be anybody's mama.
Over all, the girls could have been handled much better. I wouldn’t find issues with any of them being housewives or all about boys if that weren’t what seems to be the standard in the anime. I just wanted more of a variety and better character development, especially for Sakura and Hinata who are the mains 😩
Now to what might REALLY piss people off- ships! I’m not trying to start some war here, this is just my opinion and you can take it or leave it.
Sakura- Naruto, since they had the most development and showed more than two seconds of caring for each other. Even Sai in Shippuden has more of a connection to Sakura than Sasuke did.
Ino-Shikamaru, if she had to end up with a guy it makes sense it’d be him since they spend more time together than her and Sai did. (inosaku for the win tho)
Hinata-Shino or Kiba, again, because they spent more time with her. Naruto and her felt very rushed and I don’t quite understand the appeal.
The one that made the most sense and became canon was Shikatem, though their son’s design was lazy :D
If I do a second part, it’ll be about the boys and the ships with them that made sense to me. For now, this is all I have. If you’ve made it this far, thank you lol

Note
(This is long and I’m not a native speaker so wanted to warn beforehand)
I don’t agree with most of what they wrote about the shipppuden part where they claimed madara, obito and nagato was right (although I don’t really agree with their motives I believe thay had %100 rights about being angry at the village and the system) But You cannot honestly deny that most of the part I in naruto and the flashbacks it’s always naruto that starts to lash out violently at sasuke (when he doesn’t get to show off or couldn’t manage to throw shurikens as good as sasuke does) and sasuke just doesn’t cara he doesn’t even fight back he just dodges and naruto feels even more humiliated because of sasuke, it’s not sasuke’s fault that he feels inferior also sasuke could’ve bolted from orochimaru in the forest of death it was clear that even if he fought he couldn’t have beaten him and backup was coming if they would have tried to run maybe sasuke wouldn’t have get bitten (I’m not sayin it could have worked but it was a more reasonable solution than let’s fight the creppy snake dude who wants sasuke’s magic sharingan eyes and his pretty body) but you see naruto thought his pride and the exam was more important than his comrades he gave some encouragement and then passed out leaving sasuke to fight such dangerous person and sakura called him a coward that naruto at least does something and she didn’teven do anything whatsoever just watched while the love of his life nearly got killed??? ( don’t get me wrong i like sakura and she did placed herself against gaara and sasuke was prepared to die for him and she got plenty better afterwards and I would never deny her growth that’s why she is my second favorite character but at the forest of death she did nothing and accuse someone who always does the most work of doing nothing) back to the point is i don’t understand why naruto feels it’s sasuke’s fault when he clearly is the one who starts the fights oh and don’t give me that ‘but naruto was 6 hes a child of course he gonna get jealous’ card kakashi was chunnin at that age which brings to another set of problems being that how can they send children to a war and such when they are so young and inexperienced
Look at it from that perceptive your father commits suicide because he saves his comrades instead of doing the mission wich if he was able to save his comrades that must mean they can’t have been that much of a large number (why send so little people to such a dangerous mission in the firs place even if it was a stealth mission and there was war going on why can’t you prioritize your ninjas lives over mission why can’t you have teams that can back them up now I understand sacrifice for the better good but to a village that always brags about teamwork and comrades it sounds too hypocritical to me) Sakumo feels shame not because he saved his comrades but because his status falled ridiculously so much and he was mocked despised for his decision (that was the reason he died because of people he couldn’t take it that was the said reason in cannon) but for some reason kakashi instead of feeling resentment to the village that took his family becomes their most loyal trusted asset I understand why people feel disappointed at his character that doesn’t mean he can’t be loyal to something but he never once doesn’t seem to question why the purpose to all of this loss (please don’t talk about children they send them to wars when it’s convenient to maintain the status quo cuz they have to show their power it wouldn’t stop once there’s peace if there’s any war they still would send them. The strongest village, I remember someone said about Konoha that it’s the biggest ninja village and have the most ninja population so there can’t be that much civilians and kids that aren’t ninja Konoha makes the most money from missions it’s a ninja village not an civilized village)
Now I myself like naruto and kakashi I just don’t like what they represent that you must be ready to sacrifice everything for the village and if someone you care about dies along the way you have no right to be angry at the village because ya know that’s treason I think that anon wasn’t especially angry at naruto himself more than his fans. His fans that doesn’t see a broken child born out of neglect that’s ready to do everything for acknowledgement, bonds, family and friends that he’s blind to what lays underneath but thay see this perfect being that could do no wrong who had it worse than everyone but now he is just an perfect hero no longer that lonely child
Our problem with naruto isn’t naruto himself but people who refuse to see his arrogance (that even itachi pointed out in the war) that they are too far gone they undermine all others pain and suffering to uplift naruto (their precious self-insert)
That’s what i think anyway i’m not trying to impose my opinion on anyone but I just wanted to hear your opinion on those matters but feel free to ignore it if you don’t have anything to say on those matters I understand that not everyone would want to delve that deep into fiction it’s for our enjoyment at the end of the day and everyone could interpret fiction in their own way some might not want to deal with them by saying it in a fictional world it doesn’t work like ours so children going to war is okay there because the narrative doesn’t make a big deal out of it but I don’t believe that I think every fiction mirrors our own world and problems somehow but I get that it’s an escapism and you want to keep that away from that fictional world that has no flaws,it’s different for everyone and i don’t mind honestly
So you created an account just to say this? *Sigh*, okay then.
I'll begin by saying how I have a lot less to say about your ask in comparison to the original Anon, because the original's was just filled to the brim with utter nonsense, while yours isn't. However there are still several things wrong here.
You cannot honestly deny that most of the part I in naruto and the flashbacks it’s always naruto that starts to lash out violently at sasuke (when he doesn’t get to show off or couldn’t manage to throw shurikens as good as sasuke does) and sasuke just doesn’t cara he doesn’t even fight back he just dodges and naruto feels even more humiliated because of sasuke, it’s not sasuke’s fault that he feels inferior
Yeah that's true, but do you think that makes Naruto a terrible person or something? Or a "detestable child" as the other Anon so eloquently put it? No one with a good head on their shoulders thinks that Naruto was a saint as a child. He was a troublemaker with a bad attitude who got up to no good, people know and acknowledge that. However, we also acknowledge the reasons he became that way, and don't form conclusions regarding his worth as a person based on his juvenile antics as a child who was starving for any form of attention.
but you see naruto thought his pride and the exam was more important than his comrades he gave some encouragement and then passed out leaving sasuke to fight such dangerous person
Explain to me how on earth you reached the conclusion that Naruto apparently thought that his pride and the exams were more important than his comrades from this? Please explain that to me. How does Naruto fighting back against Orochimaru, giving Sasuke a pep talk, and then passing out, somehow equate to him prioritising his pride and the exams above the lives of his comrades? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Quite frankly, that is a preposterous conclusion to reach from that scenario. Opting to fight rather than flee does not automatically equate to caring more about your pride than the lives of your friends. I also love how you word it as Naruto "leaving" Sasuke to fight such a dangerous person, as if that was his intention - To get Orochimaru riled up, and then just leave Sasuke to deal with the consequences because he's just such a prick. Yeah that's not what happened.
and sakura called him a coward that naruto at least does something and she didn’t even do anything whatsoever just watched while the love of his life nearly got killed??? ( don’t get me wrong i like sakura and she did placed herself against gaara and sasuke was prepared to die for him and she got plenty better afterwards and I would never deny her growth that’s why she is my second favorite character but at the forest of death she did nothing and accuse someone who always does the most work of doing nothing)
This I agree with and I've made this point before - about how wrong it was for Sakura to have called Sasuke a coward in that situation, despite the fact that he was the one fighting while she was doing nothing. However, I've still always remained firm that Naruto had the right to label Sasuke as a coward in that situation (just as Sasuke had the right to label Naruto as a coward previously during the Land of waves). Naruto was right to do so, Sakura wasn't.
back to the point is i don’t understand why naruto feels it’s sasuke’s fault when he clearly is the one who starts the fights oh and don’t give me that ‘but naruto was 6 hes a child of course he gonna get jealous’ card kakashi was chunnin at that age which brings to another set of problems being that how can they send children to a war and such when they are so young and inexperienced
You don't understand why Naruto feels that what is Sasuke's fault? Naruto never once expressed the idea that Sasuke was at fault for any of their confrontations at the Academy. Furthermore, I can very much give you the "Naruto was just a child" card. You think using Kakashi's maturity at the same age justifies your assertion that people can't use that excuse? As if everyone was just like Kakashi when they were 6 years old? No it doesn't work that way. Naruto was behaving how you'd expect a 6 year old child with no parents to behave. Kakashi was the anomaly here, not the rule of behaviour.
I'm also not gonna get into the whole "child soldiers" debate because that's a whole other discussion and was never part of the original topic. The point of this was to address the original Anon's absurd claims regarding Naruto, and that's where we'll stay. So everything you said about the child soldiers was interesting, but is for another day. What I'll say regarding Kakashi and Sakumo though, is that Sakumo's treatment at the hands of the village following his mission's failure was never portrayed positively. You asked...
but for some reason kakashi instead of feeling resentment to the village that took his family becomes their most loyal trusted asset
Well I'll tell you why - It's for exactly the same reason why Sasuke eventually became one of Konoha's top protectors despite the ordeal with the Uchiha massacre. It's because the people who are currently residing in the village, are not the same people who wronged Kakashi's father. The current village has nothing to do with Sakumo's suicide, just like how the village itself was not responsible for the Uchiha massacre. The current village no longer abides by those outdated beliefs that the mission must be prioritised above all else. So why would Kakashi feel resentment towards those who had absolutely nothing to do with his father's suicide? There's something you can ask yourself. The village as it is now, is not the same village it was back then; people come and go, as do ideals.
Now I myself like naruto and kakashi I just don’t like what they represent that you must be ready to sacrifice everything for the village and if someone you care about dies along the way you have no right to be angry at the village because ya know that’s treason
That is not a view that has ever been highlighted in the series, so I really don't know where you got that one from. No one ever stated or indicated that you can't be angry or frustrated with the village hierarchy when a comrade dies during a mission because that would apparently be seen as treacherous. It's actually very ironic that you would say this in an ask criticising Naruto, because Naruto is actually the one who disproves your assertion in this case. If you recall, when Naruto was informed of Jiraiya's passing, he went on a tirade against Tsunade, saying that it was her fault he died, berating her for sending him to such a dangerous place alone etc.
Now during this entire ordeal, was Naruto ever depicted as the one in the wrong? No, he was portrayed as the sympathetic figure who was deeply grieving the loss of his beloved master. Everyone who saw Naruto as he was mourning, acknowledged that he had every right to feel that way, so of course no one was going to reprimand him for lashing out at Tsunade in the manner that he did.
I think that anon wasn’t especially angry at naruto himself more than his fans.
Well as I said before, those with a good head on their shoulders know that Naruto is far from a perfect being, but also know that everything the previous Anon was saying about him was bullshit, simple as that. That being said, I'd rather you didn't speak for that other Anon, because according to everything they said, they most definitely did have a major problem with Naruto himself.
That’s what i think anyway i’m not trying to impose my opinion on anyone but I just wanted to hear your opinion on those matters but feel free to ignore it if you don’t have anything to say on those matters I understand that not everyone would want to delve that deep into fiction it’s for our enjoyment at the end of the day and everyone could interpret fiction in their own way some might not want to deal with them by saying it in a fictional world it doesn’t work like ours so children going to war is okay there because the narrative doesn’t make a big deal out of it but I don’t believe that I think every fiction mirrors our own world and problems somehow but I get that it’s an escapism and you want to keep that away from that fictional world that has no flaws, it’s different for everyone and i don’t mind honestly.
I won't ignore what you said. I asked for someone to respond with their account and you did, so the least I can do is give credit where credit is due, and fulfil my end of the agreement. I had some things to say on the matter as well, but I'll reiterate that the child soldier stuff is far too big a topic to delve into here, and it would be going on a tangent that I'd like to avoid. All I wanted to do here was to see someone actually try to explain and justify the ridiculous accusations the initial Anon was throwing in Naruto's direction, but you didn't actually do that, you took a more understandable approach which I can appreciate, despite still finding issues with a lot of what you said.

Love is Stored in the Puppy
Pairing: Kunikida Doppo/Oda Sakunosuke Word count: 1044 Rated: G Summary: Oda brings home a puppy and Kunikida is forced to just deal with it. Based on this post by @poemchuu_ & @_PurpleExcelsis on twitter. Links: ff || ao3 For @bsd-rarepairweek (day 7 - free day)
"Sakunosuke, what is this?" Kunikida points to a yellow creature in Oda's arms.
"A puppy," Oda answers simply.
Kunikida's eyebrow twitches.
Oda had to attend a meeting with his editor regarding the book he's writing and then came back home with a puppy. Kunikida isn't an expert on dogs and their breeds but the yellow puppy in Oda's arms looks like a retriever. A breed famous across the world for being ideal for families and children. A coincidence or a well crafted plan?
"And why is it here?" Kunikida asks after a brief pause.
"I took it home."
Stay calm, Doppo, stay calm, Kunikida tells himself.
"But why?"
Oda gives his boyfriend a confused look. "It was abandoned and dirty."
Kunikida sighs. "Then take it to an animal shelter."
Oda opens his mouth to argue but both adults get distracted by five children suddenly bursting into the room. They take one look at their parents and immediately see the puppy in Oda's arms.
Sakura screams first.
"Odasaku! You brought us a puppy!"
Oda is instantly surrounded by children, all yelling in chorus, "Can I hold? Can I hold it? Please?"
"We are not keeping the dog," Kunikida tells them sternly but gets ignored. He sighs.
The puppy ends up in Sakura's arms and she firmly refuses to give it to her brothers despite their attempts to convince her. All five children look happy. Perhaps keeping a dog wouldn't be so bad?
And then Kunikida makes a grave mistake - he looks at Oda. To anyone else Oda's expression might look neutral or bored but Kunikida knows. His partner is giving him puppy eyes and the blond finds it hard to resist them. And to make things worse, the children all give him the same look as well.
Kunikida rubs his temples while the rest of the family hold their breaths waiting for his answer. The detective lets out a deep sigh. He knows he has already lost. "Fine," he says. "We can keep the dog but first we have to give it bath. Then we need to take it to a vet to make sure its healthy and give it a vaccine. And also, we need to buy dog food, and a collar, and a leash, and– ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!"
The children were not listening. They all kept petting the dog and arguing among themselves - who will take care of the dog, what's its gender, what name they should give... Their father's rambling fell on deaf ears.
"You are lucky I love you," Kunikida tells Oda grumpily.
Oda smiles and gives his boyfriend a kiss on a cheek. "Mhm. I know. I love you too."
Kunikida's face flushes red. Despite the fact that he and Oda have been dating and living together for a while now, Oda still somehow manages to make his boyfriend easily embarrassed.
A trip to a vet reveals that the puppy is most likely a female golden retriever mix. After a long and a very intense debate the children eventually settle on naming her Momo. Meanwhile Kunikida spends several days studying information about retrievers (and dogs in general). Someone in this family has to take a responsibility and it's definitely not the children. Apparently not Oda either. Despite being the one who brought the dog home in the first place.
"I didn't know you were this passionate about dogs," Oda teases Kunikida one day and gets a glare in return.
"You wanted a dog. Take some responsibility too."
"I'm more of a cat person," Oda says with a smile. "Also, you worry too much."
Despite children's numerous assurances that yes, they will take Momo for a walk at least two times per day, in the end the responsibility falls on their fathers' shoulders. Kunikida is forced to add another thing to his daily schedule - walk Momo before work. The children eagerly accept their duty to walk her after coming back from school and Oda takes her out in the evenings, after work. Sometimes Kunikida and Oda both take her out in the evenings. Sometimes the whole family goes. Then both adults sit down somewhere and watch as their children happily play with the dog.
Kunikida's long lecture on how dogs are not supposed to sleep with humans goes in everyone's one ear and out the other. All five children want Momo to sleep with them which obviously causes many disagreements between the siblings. However, Momo herself doesn't care. She happily passes out anywhere she pleases, which does include Kunikida's and Oda's bed. Kunikida does not feel jealous of the dog when he finds Oda snuggling her. He doesn't.
Sometimes the blond himself passes out on the couch with a fluffy puppy on his lap, hand on her soft fur. He hasn't even noticed when he got so attached to her.
Kunikida wouldn't admit it out loud but eventually he begins seeing Momo as another child. A four legged and a very disobedient child. (It's Oda's fault.) But like everyone else in the family, Momo also learns the "puppy eyes" trick and uses it to her advantage anytime she wants additional treats, more belly rubs or headpats. She also masters a look of a "hurt and abused puppy" which she uses anytime she gets in trouble. The look is super effective against both children and adults alike.
When confronted about his obvious soft spot for the dog, Kunikida always vehemently denies this even as he continues massaging Momo's ear.
But apparently fate loves throwing challenges at Kunikida. It's an early Sunday morning when Kunikida's and Oda's bedroom doors open. Someone slips in the room, drops something on the bed and runs off while trying to suppress laughter.
Neither of the adults notice what happened until something (or rather, someone) starts climbing up on Kunikida's legs. The blond groggily untangles himself from Oda's hold which forces Oda grumble unhappily and to wake up as well. What they find on their bed is a kitten. A small, wet and dirty kitten looking just as confused as its new owners. And in this moment Kunikida is forced to accept the fact that all of the children in this family clearly take after one parent. And that parent is definitely not him.

SasuSaku Month 2019 Days 11, 14 and 22- Chills, Daydreams and Early Mornings
title: Living the Dream
summary: It’s just a normal, autumn morning somewhere near the Hidden-Grass, and as soon as she smells the scent of his coffee, she knows it’s going to be a good day. [Blank-Period, newlywed SasuSaku].
.
.
.
A cold breeze invades her room in the morning, and she already knows autumn will be quite chilly this year. It tickles the nape of her neck, traveling through the naked, silky skin of her back and all the way down to the soft curve of her ass. She feels the goose bumps shaking her bones in a way that almost elicits a sleepy moan from her throat, and her lips twist as she adjusts her head on the pillow. Her lazy eyes remain closed, refusing to welcome a new morning just yet, as she allows herself to enjoy that moment of pure bliss for a little longer.
Uchiha Sakura loves autumn mornings. She loves waking up to that cold caress that enters through the window, especially after a heated night of pure lovemaking with her husband. Her body still feels delightfully numb, a certain heat still pooling around her thighs, as his scent is still imprinted on the sheets beneath her. There’s a foolish smile decorating her lips, and even with that ring on her finger, she still feels like a teenager in love.
A very happy and satisfied teenager in love, for the record.
Her senses are slowly coming back to her, as the images of the previous night start to pop in her head, and it’s as if she can feel his hand all over her body once more. The pressure of his fingertips on her hips, his hot breath against the shell of her ear, the muscles of his back hardening under her hands with every, pleasant thrust. It’s even embarrassing to remember everything so vividly, and she feels her cheeks warming up a bit. Not a single one of her puerile fantasies could have prepared her for the reality of what is like to be married and in love to Uchiha Sasuke, as she is constantly learning new meanings for that every day.
It’s a wild adventure, for sure. Walking around the world, meeting new places, helping people, sleeping under the stars… It’s all very charming and exotic, and for newlyweds, well, it’s more than enough for them to be happy.
As sleep starts to fade from her body, her hands invade the other side of the bed, as in an automatic reflex to reach for her husband. Not surprisingly, though, her fingers grasp at nothing but the soft material of the sheets beneath her, and she already knows it’s not as early as she had originally thought.
Of course, he’s already up, she thinks, a sly smile decorating her lips. Not even after a whole day of tiring work can that man lie in for a little longer. He has always been an early riser— even during their younger days—, and even if she hated to wake up alone, at first, Sakura has now learned to enjoy the perks of not being the first to welcome a new day. He’s the one in charge of opening the windows, receiving the eventual letters from Konoha, and of course, preparing them something nice to eat…That’s certainly the best part of the day for her, and it’s all thanks to her husband’s hidden, domestic skills.
Oh, yes. If anything, Sasuke makes an excellent coffee in the morning. It’s strong, bitter and has a touch of cinnamon that feels like a warm and soft good-morning-kiss all over her body. Over the years, as a medic with a hectic schedule, Sakura has grown to depend on her daily doses of caffeine, to the point where she barely minds the taste anymore. Back in Konoha, she used to prepare enough just for herself every morning, leaving behind a single, dirty mug she would have to clean later. She would also get herself a couple of cups at the hospital cafeteria during her breaks, but now that they’re married and traveling together, well, he’s the one who brews it for both of them.
Now they prepare enough for 2 people and leave behind two, dirty cups instead of one. It wasn’t so hard to get used to that, and the fact that his coffee is simply delicious only adds up to the countless reasons why she loves him.
It doesn’t take much before that delightful aroma invades her nostrils, and she can already feel her caffeine addiction demanding for her daily dose. Lazily, then, she finally opens her eyes, their green color contrasting with the pink of her messy hair and the wooden furniture of the cottage they’ve been sleeping in since their arrival at the Hidden Grass. The music from the forest outside brings peace to her heart, and the sun light that enters through the windows kisses the mahogany floor, slowly warming up the cold, autumn day.
It’s gonna be a beautiful day, she knows.
And with one, last smile, the pinkette finally decides to leave the comfort of that bed.
She sits up, then, slowly moving her neck and feeling her short hair brushing the soft skin of her face. Her lips part to release a trapped yawn, and as she stretches her muscles, she can feel her bare body waking up all its senses. Sakura is fully up now, her feet walking around the room as she’s looking for some clothes to cover herself.
Both their ninja attires are still laying forgotten on the floor, and luckily, the first thing she finds is her underwear. Quickly, she finds a black sports bra near the bed’s foot, and after she gives up on trying to find her shirt— because who knows where the hell he tossed it last night—, Sakura opens her backpack to grab one of his old, black T-shirts he used to wear when they were genin. She puts it on, the hem falling just above her mid-thigh, and after running her fingers through her hair, her eyes catch her own reflection at the mirror that rests near the door.
She really looks like a child dressed like that, she thinks, a smile on her lips. Whenever she wears his old clothes, Sakura can’t help but be enveloped by an innocent and youthful feeling. They’ve come a long way since he last wore that shirt, and it’s inevitable for the memories of their adventures to pop up in her head. Good things, bad things, just things…A lot has happened in the past couple of years, and if anything, the seal that decorates her large forehead is enough to show her how much she’s grown.
She is a powerful ninja now. She’s confident about herself, she’s seen many new places, and she’s married the love of her life.
Sakura’s certainly blossomed into a beautiful woman. A small woman who wears her husband's old and comfortable clothes, sure, but a woman who’s living her dreams, nonetheless.
Her feet are now dragging her out of the room and towards the common area. For it’s a small cabin, it doesn’t take long before her eyes find him, and she feels her cheeks warming up in pure bliss. As expected, Sasuke is brewing some coffee for them, focused as he handles the boiling water. His mismatched eyes are serene and free from any hatred— like they have been for a while now—, and she can’t help but enjoy that view.
Uchiha Sasuke, one of the most powerful ninjas in the entire world, is using all of his skills just to make some coffee. He’s wearing his dark sweatpants and plain, white t-shirt; and his jet-black hair is softly falling forward to brush his cheeks. His sharp, angular chin makes his face look more mature, and she can’t help but remember how it feels to trace it with the tips of her fingers. He’s strong, handsome, and during their most intimate moments, he shows her he can be very, very—
“How long are you planning on just standing there and staring at me, Sakura?"
“Eh!?” His voice brings her back to reality, and she feels a bit embarrassed to have been caught like that, almost eating him alive with her eyes. Years ago, she would’ve probably fainted due to extreme embarrassment, but now, after spending so many moments together, she has learned how to let loose more around him and turn her silly embarrassment into something more.
"It’s starting to get creepy.”
“Creepy!? Shannarou…” She says, pretending to be offended as she walks towards him. “Can’t I just look at you for no reason? That’s what married people do, right? Unless you’re feeling intimidated, of course. If that’s the case, I can certainly stop.”
“Hn, as if.” He starts, a smirk lifting the corner of his lips. He’s adding a touch of cinnamon to the coffee, and the smells gets even better as it spreads around the room. “Stare as much as you want, then."
“I certainly will.”
“Tch.” He scoffs, only now sparing her a glance. “Of all the shirts you could have packed, you steal one of mine.”
“It’s not my fault if your old shirts are very comfortable and warm.” She starts, her face ridden of any expression. “Besides, if not for me, you would’ve thrown them away. I doubt it will fit you anymore.”
“Probably not...But just imagine the amount of sweat and dirt I was never able to wash from this.”
“Ugh, you’re disgusting, Sasuke-kun. Next time, then, I’ll ask Naruto for one of his old clothes.” She smiles teasingly when she says that, and he shakes his head in disbelief at her silly answer. Even if they both know this is just a joke, Sakura can’t help but to provoke her husband’s silly and jealous side.
Silently, then, the pinkette notices that he’s almost finished, and immediately, she picks up two mugs from the counter and places them next to him. Their eyes meet briefly as he looks left, nodding as to acknowledge and thank her for her small help, and carefully, he pours some of the hot beverage for them. They set it aside so it can cool off a bit, and she can’t help but feel a bit cheerful as she sees the steam dancing over the rim of the ceramic mug.
“You know…” Sakura starts again, plopping herself over the counter so their eyes are almost on the same level. Her legs dangle from the edge, and she notices when he takes a step closer when he adjusts his body to face her. “I just love the smell of your coffee. It’s always so strong.”
“Well, it has to be, or else it won’t wake you up.”
She smiles at his comment, carefully placing her hand on the warm mug to see if it’s already safe to drink. "You have a very good point there, Sasuke-kun.”
“Won't you even try to deny it this time?” He lifts an eyebrow at her, as he holds his own mug in his hand and starts to blow on it.
“Nope.” She giggles, finally picking up her own coffee and taking a sip. The liquid travels down her throat, warming up her insides and sending her jolts of happiness as it touches her taste buds. Chills run down her spine in pure pleasure, and she has to hold back the urge to let out a not-so-innocent moan. “Since I’m not really working under the hospital schedule right now, I don’t have to wake up that early anymore.”
“Tch, you say that as if you even sleep back home.” He smirks, taking a sip of his own coffee and she doesn’t miss the sensation of his left leg softly brushing hers.
“You woke up quite the funny guy today, huh, Sasuke-kun. Must have been a good night, right?” She teases, a knowing smirk hidden behind the mug that covers part of her face.
“Aa. You can say so…”
“Right…” She nods, taking another sip of her coffee. It always makes her happy to see him in a good mood, and personally, she feels proud of herself for that. "Well, as I was saying before you interrupted me, I don't have to wake up that early anymore, so I can wait for my dear husband to make me some of his delicious coffee.”
“I think I’m spoiling you too much.”
“Yeah…” She closes her eyes for a moment just before opening her left one to look at him. "Especially when you ask me to sleep in the woods with all those mosquitos and without hot water for weeks.”
“Hn.” He smirks. "Some people call it romantic.”
“Well, some people are insane.”
A soft smile is now gracing her lips as she takes yet another sip from her mug. In between all that peaceful teasing, a comfortable silence envelops them as they’re left to enjoy the moment. They’re all alone in a cottage in the middle of the woods, they’re young and they’re both just worried about how to properly appreciate a nice cup of coffee. Living in the woods has its perks, as they’ve learned, and even if Ino would probably call them old for doing that, well, Sakura couldn’t care less.
They have all the time in the world. They can drink their coffee alone, talk about nothing, read a book next to each other, take a walk in the middle of the night, make love under the moonlight…The options just seem endless when she stops to think about them.
They’re living a life away from everything and everyone that connects them to their chaotic routines back in Konoha; and even if she misses her family and friends a lot, Sakura is still not ready to go home. She’s still not ready to leave their own, private infinity.
After a while, the coffee in her mug runs out and she lets out a deep and excited sigh. She places the mug on the counter next to her right leg, and her pretty, green eyes are once more set on him. There’s a silly smile on her lips, and she doesn’t know if it’s because of the warm coffee or because of the happiness taking over her insides, but she can feel her cheeks getting warmer. “You know, Sasuke-kun.” She starts, licking her lower lip. “I’m still waiting for you to wish me a good morning.”
“Wasn’t the coffee enough already?” He says, placing his mug on the counter away from her.
“Almost.” She giggles, taking his hand in hers and softly pulling him a bit closer.
“Hn, you really are becoming a spoiled and annoying woman, Sakura.”
“Well…You’re the one to blame for that.”
“I probably am.”
“So…” She says, almost humming, carefully playing with his fingers.
“Tch.”
He scoffs, eventually giving in as his eyes meet her emerald ones. Sakura realizes he’s about to do what she wanted him to, and charmingly, she closes her eyes and starts to lean in. Her lips are slowly perked as she waits for his to meet her half-way, and it’s as if she can already feel their warmth pressed against her delicate skin.
She’s waiting for him to kiss her good-morning. She’s waiting for her husband to give in to one of the most common gestures between lovers in the world, and she truly believes that, this time, she’s gonna make it.
Sasuke is going to kiss her good-morning. He has to.
But when she doesn’t feel his lips against hers after at least 30 seconds, the pinkette knows there’s something off.
“Oi!” She starts, eyes still closed as she holds a certain hope. “Aren't you going to— Ouch!”
And so, in the middle of her ranting, she suddenly feels the pressure of his fingers against the center of her forehead. He did it with enough strength to slightly push her backwards, and she knows there’s a red mark decorating her skin on the spot he flickered his finger.
Of course, getting a kiss from her husband wouldn’t be so easy. He is Uchiha Sasuke, after all.
“You jerk!” She says, watching as he smirks at her, his hand now resting on his hip. “Would it have killed it you to be romantic for once?”
“And spoil you even more? Not gonna happen.”
“Tch.” She scoffs, crossing her arms over her chest. There’s a pout taking over her lips, and if anything, Sakura does look like a spoiled, little girl right now. “It was only a kiss…”
“Hn. Stop being a child, will you?” He turns around, then, as he starts walking towards the hallway. "I’m taking a shower now. You can go as soon as you’re done with the dishes.”
“You're the worst, Uchiha Sasuke.” She says, knowing very well she doesn’t mean that at all. Her insides start to feel warm all over again for she clearly doesn't miss the invitation behind his words.
Her husband really is something, she thinks, trapping her lower lip between her teeth. Emerald eyes are still on him as he’s walking away, and eventually, they can’t help but travel down until they stop at his firm and round—
“And quit staring at me.” His words make her smirk, and somehow, they also make her happy to know her husband knows her that well. He can be an ass sometimes and his intentional lack of timing for a couple of things might drive her a little mad, but, well…His coffee is just too good to lose.
“Tch. Leave me alone, will you?” She smiles brightly, her eyes beaming in pure happiness.
“Good Morning to you, too, Sakura.”

Pompeii Chapter 51
Sakura felt numb as she pulled herself up the front porch stairs and through the large arching doors. They opened on their own, welcoming her home, and she was grateful for the enchantment. Once across the threshold a seed of strength took root in her chest and Sakura breathed deep. It wasn’t an old home, but when she inhaled there was history and character in the air, scenting every breath.
Her watch read the time as half past ten at night, but it felt so much later.
Sakura felt something at her back and turned around so the wall hooks didn’t have to stretch as far to pick her coat off her shoulders.
Last she had been back, Tsunade had been working on the enchantment, but since the mayoral races had begun, she hadn’t had much time left to spare. It was a demanding gig, campaigning as Minato’s replacement. Several others citizens of Pompeii had surged to make bids of their own, and it was a whole week before the serious candidates were sifted out of the bulk of hopefuls.
“Is that Sakura?”
Sakura looked up and smiled. “As if you didn’t know the second my car crossed town limits.”
“Hey, you never know, I might get distracted one of these days and miss it,” Ashura chuckled.
He shuffled into the room in an oversized fluffy robe from deep in her closets that made her want to laugh. Instead she reached for the edges and curled her fingers into the plush softness. Ashura easily drew her in, resting one wrist over the other behind her back.
“Welcome home,” he whispered.
“What...smells so good?” she asked, feeling her eyes drift shut once more. It had been a struggle to stay awake. “Potatoes?”
Ashura pouted, but turned around to draw her under his arm and guide her into the kitchen where the aroma drifted. Indra stood in front of the oven, cutting into a steaming golden yellow breakfast casserole made from fresh eggs, hash browns, and an assortment of other delectable breakfast meats.
“Oh Indra,” Sakura moaned, eyes watering as her empty stomach did flips. She was so tired, but she knew she couldn’t go to sleep until she had some food.
“You’ve been neglecting yourself. Here, come eat,” Indra said, already cutting out a portion for her and placing it on one of the china dishes. Ashura led her into a chair at the kitchen table and then left to fetch a glass of water.
“It takes so long to get home to begin with,” Sakura complained, sounding younger and more childish. Yamato would often tease her about how she seemed to regress in age whenever she was hungry and sleepy. “I didn’t want to stop for food. I just wanted to get home.”
Yamato and Sai took turns with Ashura and Indra watching over her when she got home from work. She worked hard long shifts and came home spent and in dire need of pampering. It became something the whole house quickly picked up on and soon shifts were sorted out to the housemates all for the sake of keeping Sakura well fed and rested.
“We are always eager to have you back under this roof, but you worry us with how you neglect your own body. A few minutes more doesn’t change much in the grand scheme of things. Here now, eat,” Indra said. He held the fork out to her and Sakura took it, stabbing at the breakfast casserole that warmed her belly like all good comfort food should.
Sakura finished over half the plate before she remembered to breath. She took Ashura glass and drank deeply before picking up her fork again. That’s when she noticed the cute blue and white pattern of the dishes.
“Are these new?” she asked.
“Said picked them out from a local thrift shop. He’s been quite handy about decorating this place up. Do you like the plate?” Ashura asked. He had come back to sit across from her at the table in his fluffy robe.
Indra reached down and pinched some of the robe’s fabric between his fingers. “Why are you wearing this again?”
“Let go, Sakura said I could.”
Ashura batted his brother’s hand away with a solid smack that Sakura chose to ignore. The two quarreled enough for her to know when it was appropriate to stay out of it and let them have their space.
“I like the plates,” Sakura finally answered. “They remind me of...I think it was a tea set I had as a child. It’s a pretty color though. I’ll have to compliment him on his choices when I see him in the morning.”
A yawn broke off the rest of what she wanted to say and Sakura nearly dropped her head onto the table for how tired she suddenly felt. Her belly was warm and full, her plate pretty and empty, but why did she feel so wrong?
Ashura was beside her in an instant, tugging off his robe to lay over her. It was warm too, and big enough that it felt like a blanket.
“You’re going to make me fall asleep at this table,” she chuckled into the wood grains.
“You do a fine enough job of that all on your own. The hours of your work establishment are just too unreasonable. Why can’t you quit?” Indra asked. “We have the money for it.”
“We have so much money. If you don’t believe us we can go get more. There’s tons of it buried in Pompeii that only we know how to get to. You’d never have to work another day in your life,” Ashura added. He sounded worried
“It’s not about the money anymore,” Sakura said, feeling another yawn budding at the base of her jaws. “I-I just want to work. I need to work.”
“You work too hard,” Indra said, voice turning hard in the beginning stages of anger. “Look at the state you come home in every four days. You’re a beautiful mess someone has to clean up or else you'd be left in a puddle on the doorstep.”
Sakura turned her head over and smiled up at the older brother. Seeing the look on her face his cheeks turned red and his ears twitched.
“You think I’m a beau-ti-ful mess?” she asked, teasing out the sounds in the word beautiful. Her own cheeks flushed pink.
“You’re a minx,” he grumbled, placing a wide palm over the lower half his face and spreading his fingers over the other half. A single eye poked through to watch her. Indra didn’t handle embarrassment as well as his brother.
“My brother has a point though, and yes, Sakura, you’re always beautiful. But back to the main point here, you’re running yourself ragged,” Ashura interrupted. “Can’t you go back to being Pompeii’s doctor? They need one.”
“No way. They can get by just fine without a doctor. They chose to forgo my services for months during the whole Kaguya fiasco. They can manage.”
“I’d be inclined to agree,” Ashura sighed, “but we miss you too much. You’re gone so much. Can’t you find something else to do that’s closer? We want to see you every night, not every four nights.”
Sakura felt a little guilty, but not guilty enough to change her mind. “I’m not ready to work in this town again,” she whispered. “Not yet.”
Ashura opened his mouth, but it was Indra that tugged him back. “She’s entitled to that,” Indra said before his younger brother could get any of his words out. “If she changes her mind, the clinic will finish its repairs in a number of weeks. If Sakura never changes her mind that’s fine too. It’s her choice. You agree with me, it’s more than they deserve after how they treated her.”
Sakura shut her eyes and felt the warmth from her dinner fade. She was cold on the inside again. It was too easy to remember how friends turned away and avoided her eyes. Parents who she thought she got along with lashed out more viciously than their children. And what was worse was the apologies that came, because she couldn’t bring herself to be okay with most of them. She didn’t want to forgive anyone. They wanted to burn her at the stake at one point. How does a person come back from that and ask to be your friend?
“Sakura? Are you still awake?”
Sakura lifted her head and felt the tears filly slip with the help of gravity. “I’m too tired to be asleep,” she mumbled.
“Then here,” Indra said, reaching for her. He picked her up, pinning her robe around her and folding her close to his chest.
Ashura moved around his brother to push in the kitchen chair and open doors when Indra got to Sakura’s bed room.
The walls were painted a dusky blue that blended up into a black ceiling dotted with stars and swirling celestial figures in Sai’s unique style. The bed was left in the center of the room, big and wide enough for her to roll around in and spread out in her sleep...or entertain the warmth of another if she ever wished for it. The gauzy curtain embroidered with stars and flowers was a gift from Ino that Ashura had to pull back to allow Indra better access to the mattress.
“I need to brush my teeth,” Sakura moaned, weakly flapping her free hand.
“Here, and don’t make it a habit,” Indra said, producing a shard of enchanted floride. Sakura took it from his fingers and felt the tingle in her mouth as the spell cleaned her teeth.
“And don’t forget,” Ashura sighed, “you need to be dressed for bed.”
Ashura slipped a metal ring onto her pinky and moved away. Sakura recognized the gift as one of his from when they all first moved it. There was a spirit in the ring that dressed her in any elaborate dress or suit she desired, no matter how elegant or extravagant. It was a glorious gift, but Sakura ended up only using it to change into silk pajamas without getting out of bed.
“You guys are life savers,” Sakura murmured dreamily.
“ Literally ,” Indra affirmed, tone serious once more.
Sakura just chuckled. “Thank you. Niiiiight….”
Indra turned to head out and leave her be, but Ashura moved forward and leaned over her mattress until he could reach her face with his lips. He kissed the side of her jaw and rubbed his nose into her loose hair before pulling back. Sakura hummed in appreciation, still not quite asleep.
Indra’s expression was a cross between horrified and outraged.
Ashura just shrugged and whispered, “What? She doesn’t mind.”
“You-you cad.”
Ashura rolled his eyes. “You’re just jealous.”
Indra left the room fuming while Ashura was more content than a cat with his cream.
In the morning Sakura woke half across the bed, wrapped in layers of a silk night dress. Her hair was a mess on her pillow, but that wasn’t anything she couldn’t fix on her own.
If Kin saw her looking so out of place she’d have a fit and then insist Sakura take a seat while she fixed her hair. Kin was always meticulous about things like hair, and Sakura had only asked about it once.
“My hair was the only nice thing I had for myself at one point in my life.”
It was the morning of her first of four days off before she would have to go back and work another four days at the clinic, which was an odd set up, but it was fine for now. She was doing well and got along well with everyone there, but she didn’t want to admit out loud of how of place she felt. Even in Pompeii with all its monsters, she had clicked right away.
She was uneasy among humanity, as funny as it was.
Sakura climbed out of bed and winced at the open window with all its sunlight. It didn’t look like morning anymore. No doubt she had slept in again.
Typical.
She almost left for the bathroom when a note on her nightstand caught her eye.
‘Sai and Yamato will be home early, so wake up before 4, okay?’
There was no signature, but she recognized Kin’s handwriting and knew out of all the other housemates that Kin was the only one who gave her so much unfiltered grief. Zaku and Dosu kept a respectful distance, but not one that made her think they still doubted her. In comparison, they kept everyone else at a much greater distance and rarely came out into the communal spaces.
Sakura took her shower, washed her hair extra nice, braided it back, and brushed her teeth to get rid of the taste of day old magic. By the time she was dressed and roaming the hallways it was even later in the day and she realized that most of her housemates were at work since it was a weekday.
She stopped at the threshold to the old tinted glass greenhouse.
There was at least one person she could still greet that was available.
Inside the temperature went from early March’s chill to a balmy warm that made her want to unfold and lay out on the ground to soak up all the light there was. It was nice and warm, but in addition to all that, a plethora of different plants grew lush and fill under Zetsu’s careful guidance.
“You’re back again.”
Sakura turned to see the half shrouded figure crouching in front of a row of flowers that rotated on a wheel. He didn’t look at her, but didn’t flinch away from her when she approached. Some days when she came in to greet him he was more skittish, forgetting their friendship and regressing to his former self.
“I’m back again,” Sakura echoed. “I always come back.”
“You did not come back yesterday morning, or the morning before that, or the morning before that. One more morning before all of those you were here, but you did not bid me goodbye.” Zetsu spoke without making eye contact.
“I’ve told you about that, haven’t I? I had work. I needed to go to my job.”
“You left!” Zetsu blurted, grabbing the edges of the planter and bracing against it. “I-you were gone and you were not here. You went too far away.”
The boundary of Pompeii, she crossed over it each time she left.
“Were you frightened by my leaving?” she asked, softly.
Zetus finally glanced her way and a new light came into his golden eyes, and it was like he was seeing her for the first time. He straightened his back and faced his flowers again. “No, I was not frightened. Don’t assume such things,” he answered in a newer voice. It was a mix of old and unknown.
“I missed you and this place,” Sakura admitted easily, holding nothing back. “You make it so pleasant in here. Will you show me what you’ve been working on?”
Zetsu paused before glancing up at her. He nodded stiffly than stood to gesture to a newer corner of the garden. He showed her his favorites and the new plants as well as the old. He updated her on what would be ripe soon and what would take more time to bloom.
Spring was coming soon.
“Will you be here tomorrow?” he asked her when she noticed the time.
“I’ll be here,” she promised.
Zetsu nodded and turned back to his plants. “Very well.”
Sakura watched him a moment more, holding the side of her face, fingers curled around the shell of her ear. Kaguya had left more than just Sakura broken and scarred. There were still plenty of wounds left in the wake of her death.
In the house Kin was eating the food Indra baked. The table had banana bread, scones, and spice muffins. When he saw her coming in from outside Indra shot her a frustrated look.
“All my beautiful breakfast pastries, and you don’t get out of bed until two?”
“I’ve been awake longer than that. I was with Zetsu,” Sakura huffed, reaching for a muffin. She bit into it and moaned aloud at the texture. “And it is never a bad time for your beautiful breakfast pastries, Indra.”
“Look at that, Sakura, his head just grew two sizes. Maybe you should pop it,” Kin teased, waving her own muffin around in the air.
“You’re insufferable,” Indra grumbled.
“That’s not what your mom said last night.”
“Vulgar child.”
“Someone has to be.”
Indra made a gesture with the flat of his hand running across his throat and Kain pantomimed the action of shooting him in the brains.
It was enough to make Sakura sigh. “And here I thought everyone in the house got along.”
Kin barked a laugh. “Not by a long shot.”
“You wouldn’t know anything about that, though,” Indra muttered.
Sakura just laughed and sat down at the table with a new plate and started to load it up with things to try and snack on. While she ate Kin cleaned her hands and went after Sakura’s hair, combing it back and braiding it down the back. It was almost enough to make Sakura fall asleep again.
Sakura opened her eyes and saw Ashura sitting across from her at the table, smiling fondly at her. His smile only grew when she meet his gaze.
“I’m not falling asleep,” she said.
“Could have fooled me.”
“Tell me how your days were while I was gone,” Sakura said, then she listened as each friend shared something new she could respond to.
The sound of the front door opening and closing made her stand, her smile stretching. She knew their footsteps by heart. There was no way she wouldn’t recognize them.
Kin was already leaning against the far wall with her arms crossed, watching the hallway. Ashura stayed in his seat and Indra watched from in front of the oven where a new set of biscuits were baking for dinner.
Sakura left them all behind, turning sharply from one room into the other, until Sai was there, crashing into her. Yamato came up behind them and swallowed both Sai and Sakura in his arms, nearly lifting her off her feet.
“It’s only been four days,” Kin sighed. “Do they have to do that every time she comes home?”
“Yes!” Yamato shouted. “Until she stays home, you better get used to it!”
There was plenty of chuckles and jokes after that, followed by dinner, and then movies. Sai refused to part from her side, and Yamato kept his eyes on her even when she left the room. When she came out of the bathroom he stood at the end of the hallway, checking his phone and waiting for her.
“You’re getting worse,” she teased.
“And you’re getting further away.”
“I’m not. It’s been like this for a while now.”
Yamato rolled his shoulders in a half hearted shrug. “It wasn’t any easier in the beginning, and it’s not getting any easier. You’ve seen Sai.”
“You’re both off tomorrow and Sunday. We’ll hang out. It’ll be okay. I promise to spend more time with you,” Sakura said.
“It’s not just that.”
Yamato sighed, taking her under his arm and leading her back into the living room. In place of a movie, the local news was on. The news anchor was talking about the local mayoral election. A banner at the bottom scrolled in red and white letters.
“And in  other news, a group known as Akatsuki has been officially recognized as a legitimate organization dedicated to keeping local authorities in check. We asked local candidates their opinions on the Akatsuki but received only comments from Itama Senju, the younger brother of Tobirama and Hashirama Senju who some say is just another example of the old powers trying to hang on.”
The image on the television screen cut to a younger boy with bi-colored hair looking younger than either of his brothers. He wore a suit, but all Sakura could see was a boy playing dress up.
Itama addressed the microphone in his face. “I’d welcome any help the citizens might put forth on their own. Grassroots groups are a sign of an active community, and that’s what Pompeii is.” He smiled brilliant and then a new reporter pushed through.
“Senju, Itama Senju, what about the experiments left over?”
Itama’s smile twitched.
“Of course they’re an issue we need to address. The people of Pompeii come first, and their safety is my top priority.”
A new reporter pushed in and redirected the flow of conversation back to the Akatsuki members, and what Itama thought of them personally. Sakura thought Itama’s answers sounded like the came from a cereal box they were so stiff. He was a puppet, and she knew exactly who was pulling the strings.
“Experiments?” Sakura echoed. “What are they talking about?”
“Us.”
Sakura turned in her seat to see Zaku and Dosu standing in the doorway, glaring at the television screen. Kin was a shadow not much further back, watching as well. Dosu touched the curse mark on his neck and winced.
“They’re talking about Orochimaru’s failed experiments...us. Itama wants us rounded up and deported,” Dosu explained.
“What else is new?” Zaku hissed. “No one’s ever welcomed us, not really. Not anywhere except here. Pompeii isn’t much different.”
“They-they can’t do that,” Sakura said, feeling the stone of dread deep in her belly. “That’s cruel and inhumane. They wouldn’t do something like that!”
“They can do whatever they want with us. To them, we’re no better than garbage.” Kin said, sounding faded in comparison to earlier in the day. Her voice was a ghost of its former self. “And besides, none of them are human, and neither are we. What does that matter?”

The Battle For His Heart
Read on AO3 here
Support me on Ko-Fi
Characters: Akechi Goro, Sakura Sojiro, Akira Kurusu (Persona 5 Protagonist), Morgana (Persona 5)
Summary: Goro's been at Leblanc for hours, not waiting for Kurusu or anything, it's just a nice working environment! However, that doesn't mean he doesn't want to spend some time with Kurusu when he gets home.
Unfortunately, Akira's distracted by other things when he gets home. Namely, dressing Morgana up in all the new clothes and accessories he just got him. Goro is less than pleased at not being the centre of attention.
A/N: yooooooooo what's this!!!! I've got a new fandom!!!!! Okay so this is my first time writing for Persona 5 but considering how obsessed I am with it at the moment it was about time. I gotta admit I had an absolute blast writing Goro, the whole "super polite on the outside but a bitch on the inside" is super fun. Anyway I had this idea on my mind and it's not too complicated so I thought it would be a good place to start, I don't think it's crack cause I believe Goro would totally do this but it is just a nice little humorous thing.
P.S Morgana doesn't talk cause by this point they are suspicious of Akechi so Mona doesn't talk in front of him.
It could be said by now that Goro Akechi had formed a habit. While the first visit to the back alley, coffee and curry cafe Leblanc had been planned for business reasons, the many subsequent visits less so. Goro likes to tell himself that it’s the best place to keep an eye on number one phantom thief suspect Akira Kurusu but he still finds himself drawn there even at times when he knows Kurusu won’t be there. Something about the place satisfies a part of Goro’s soul more than any other and while Sakura’s gruff attitude was mildly annoying at first, now that the old man’s warmed up to him a bit Goro must admit he enjoys the quiet company.
Although the place certainly draws him in with its rustic charm, even more tempting than the peace of the cafe is Kurusu himself. Goro’s well aware of how little time he’s spent with people of his own age group- As a child, it was because no one liked him, now it’s more that he doesn’t like anyone else- but the nights in Leblanc when it’s just him and Kurusu… and Kurusu makes him coffee just the way he likes it because he’s memorised Goro’s order by now and he teases Goro about always addressing him so formally with that oh so annoyingly smug but also stunningly beautiful grin and… and…
Goro jolts back to reality as if struck by lightning. What is he doing again? He blinks at the area around him, trying to piece together some clues. Oh right, he came to Leblanc to try and make a dent in the mountain of paperwork he’s got at the moment, however, he must’ve gotten distracted and dozed off. He’s not happy with where that little daydream about Kurusu was going, he is strictly Goro’s rival and anything else would be preposterous. It’s normal to notice a lot of small, intimate details about someone you’re spying on, right?
While Goro is distracted making a pathetic attempt at convincing himself Kurusu isn’t pretty a fresh cup of coffee clanks down gently enough not to spill but still rough enough to startle Goro out of thoughts… again.
“You look like you need a pick-me-up kid,” he looks up to see Sakura staring down at him with a frown, “It worries me sometimes how much work you always seem to have.”
Goro can’t help but scoff internally. Sakura’s hardly the first adult to say that to him and he has to resist telling him how useless his worry is, he did at least appreciate the coffee. “Ah, thank you Sakura-san! And please, you needn’t worry about me, I promise I’m not doing anything I don’t want to be doing.” He tries to end the statement with a reassuring grin but something tells him it won’t be enough to fool Sakura.
It doesn’t, going by the suspicious stare he gives Goro. “Tch, if you say so kid,” he grumbles, “Just try to spare enough time for being human.” with that, Sakura moves back behind the counter.
Spare some time for being human, hah! Sakura has no idea the kind of expectations that are on his shoulders. Goro’s not allowed to be just human, he has to be something more, something better, the Great Detective Prince Akechi Goro! Even with all that he does he knows there are still plenty who look down on him, people who prefer Shirogane over him, jealous peers, and snobbish adults who refuse to see him as anything other than a child. Time for being human is the one thing Goro can’t spare.
Just as Goro’s taking a mildly pissed off sip of his coffee, the little bell signifying someone’s arrival to the cafe rings and, like a trained dog, he can’t help but look up immediately to see who it is. More often than not he’s disappointed to see it’s just another of Sakura’s regulars, who Goro has surprisingly come to know and recognise. Eventually, there’s a point where he finds what he’s looking for, like right now, he sees that mop of unruly hair and the shine of glasses that often seem to mask the owner from Goro’s superior deductive skills.
Akira Kurusu walks into Leblanc for once wearing an expression Goro could identify. The other teen is clearly excited and if Kurusu wasn’t as subdued as he is Goro would expect him to have a spring in his step. For some frustrating reason, he can’t seem to tear his gaze away from Kurusu as he greets Sakura with a cheerful wave. Objectively speaking, he’s one of the plainest people Goro’s ever met, aside from the whole potential Phantom Thief thing. He barely says talks but Goro still finds himself hanging off every word he has to say and constantly longs for conversation. The whole situation is just ridiculous.
Despite said ridiculousness, Goro still prepared himself for the usual witty banter that was passed between him and Kurusu on the nights where they were fortunate enough to spend some time together. Kurusu, however, merely gave him a quick “hey Akechi” before turning back to the counter to pull out, of all things, that stupid cat, he’s always carrying around. Megan, Morgan...no that’s not it… Morgana!
“Kid, what the heck are you doing!? I’ve told you the cat ain’t meant to be down here,” Sakura scolds his young charge.
“There’s no one here but Akechi and he doesn’t mind, right?” Kurusu turns to look at him with a grin that says he has total faith he’ll agree.
“Oh uh… Of course not.” He smiles but he wonders if should feel flattered that Kurusu feels comfortable enough to goof off in front of him, or offended that he seems to have been disregarded.
Sakura scoffs, “Hmph, fine. Just don’t make a habit of it alright.”
“I won’t!” Kurusu responds cheerfully, “This is a special occasion.”
That was curious. What occasion could possibly include putting a cat on a cafe-bar? The right thing to do here would be to either simply ignore Kurusu and his feline antics in favour of actually getting some work done or to go home and finish whatever he needs there. Instead, Goro pretends to be working on something with his laptop when really he’s staring at Kurusu out the corner of his eye.
To his surprise he finds him reaching back into his bag and pulling out… tiny outfits? Wait a second... small outfits, that don’t quite seem to be made for a human, and it’s something to do with the cat… Kurusu must have bought clothing for Morgana.
As if on cue, Kurusu coos, not unlike a teenage girl, “Look what Ann and I got for Morgana!”
After displaying the items for Sakura he goes straight to work putting them on Morgana. Before long the cat is dolled up and Goro can’t help but be reminded of all the times he’s had to endure going through make up for his T.V interviews. He may have less than desirable feelings towards the feline at the moment but he could at least relate to its current torment. Although Morgana did seem to be handling it very well with only minimal squirming.
“I know you don’t like being manhandled but I promise it’ll be worth it, I’ll get you your favourite fatty tuna later as payment for modelling skills.” Almost as soon as Akira utters the words ‘fatty tuna’ Morgana settles down, Goro can’t help but be concerned with its apparent intelligence.
Goro tries to subtly watch the makeover process from the corner of his eye until Kurusu steps back from his creation. Morgana is fully adorned in a knitted, red and black, striped sweater vest, and a miniature jack frost style hat, it’s time for him to show off. Kurusu gets out his phone and a moment later Goro hears the cacophony of clicks signalling Kurusu’s impromptu photoshoot.
Sakura grumbles, “Hmph, well I guess he doesn’t look half bad.” With neither of them- annoyingly- paying attention to him Goro gives in to the urge to roll his eyes. Sakura clearly cares about Kurusu and his cat, why does the old man even bother to pretend anymore? Adults: always worrying more about their reputations then letting their families’ know they care.
“He looks amazing and you know it Sojiro, at this rate, he'll be a better model than Ann.”
“Tch, I think he’s got an unfair advantage being a cat and all.” Sojiro sighs, “It’s getting late and I still gotta make dinner for me and Futaba, I hope you don’t mind Akechi if I let Akira run the shop for the remainder of your visit.”
It takes Goro a moment to process that he’s being spoken to, “Oh, of course, Sakura-san, I don’t mind at all.” The smile he gives may be a little less fake than usual but it’s definitely not because he likes the idea of being alone with Kurusu.
Sakura waves as he takes his leave and Goro and Akira respond in kind. Normally, when Sakura leaves them alone like this, Kurusu would personally fix Goro a cup of his finest coffee (he’d always say) and they’d either play chess, have an intellectual discussion, or some combination of the two. However, Kurusu does not move behind the counter to put on his coffee-making apron tonight, nor does he get the chessboard from its place at the end of the counter. No, instead Kurusu pulls out another outfit from his bag of purchases and proceeds to start dressing Morgana in that one.
Goro can’t help but quietly seethe. Honestly, how many outfits does a cat need? None of these even look practical just stylish or cute. Neither of which is something a cat requires. If Kurusu had gotten the cat a sweater for the winter or some form of shoes maybe he’d be a bit more understanding.
Goro only has so much free time in the day and he chooses to spend a lot of it at Leblanc so is it too much to ask that Kurusu just pay him a bit of mind during this time? He has that damn cat on him every minute of the day. Kurusu is always vying for his attention at the worst possible times but when Goro’s present and not particularly busy he’d rather play dress-up with the cat… not that Goro cares that much…
… … Oh, who is he kidding of course he cares that goddamn much.
He’s so caught up in his internal rant that he barely catches Kurusu speaking to him. “Hey, do you mind if I go put my pyjamas on? it’d be more comfortable.”
Goro’s still always a little bit struck by how brief Kurusu is, even after all the time he’s known him. “Sure, I don’t mind at all.”
Kurusu makes his way upstairs, leaving Morgana on the counter. Goro honestly can’t understand how the thing doesn’t bolt as soon as Kurusu’s hands are off him, nonetheless, Morgana stays in his place on the countertop merely having a small bath.
Seeing how Morgana is distracted gives Goro an idea. It’s low even for his standards but quite frankly it’s been a long hard day and he can’t deny anymore that some attention from a cute boy would make him feel a lot better. And so, Goro taps into all of the stealth related skills he’s cultivated during his time in the metaverse in order to move quickly and quietly towards Morgana while he’s licking his paw. Like a predator catching his prey, Goro goes for the kill and grabs Morgana with both hands around his middle and keeping him at arm's length in case of any scratching attempts
The cat gives a yelp that, if Goro had been paying more attention, did not sound particularly catlike but didn’t lash out physically much to his gratefulness. Swiftly so as to be done before Kurusu comes back down he moves to the front of Leblanc and opens the door with his foot.
“I’m terribly sorry about this Morgana, I know it’s unpleasant, however, since you’re a cat and thus cannot understand me I’ll at least grace you with the truth of the matter.” Goro squats down with the cat. “We both seem to be top contenders for Kurusu’s attention but tonight you’ve managed to rise just a little bit higher than me and I did not come all this way just be ignored.”
Goro sighs and puts Morgana down, “In short, I want a little attention and to get it I need you gone for the time being.” He isn’t sure what the range for cats showing emotion is but he thinks if he had to say, Morgana is looking at him with pure disbelief.
He frowns at the cat, not liking the implication that it may be judging him. “Stop looking at me like that. You get to spend your whole days and nights with Kurusu surely you can just let me have this.”
He heads back inside and tries to recreate the way he was sitting to the best of his abilities, forgetting about the weirdly emotive cat. Kurusu comes down not a moment later and does a double-take when he notices his missing cat.
“Hey, where did Morgana go?’
Goro does his best to look innocent, “Oh, he started scratching at the door when you left, I thought he might need to go to the toilet or something so I let him out,” he tilts his head, “I hope that’s okay?”
Kurusu blinks for a moment or two before looking towards the door with a frown, “It’s odd of him to just leave. Maybe he was getting sick playing dress-up.”
“It is a lot to ask of a cat,” Goro points out.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Kurusu looks a bit glum and it’s almost enough to make him feel bad.
“Would a game of chess cheer you up? I should go home soon but I have time for one match if you’d like?” This is it. The moment of truth.
Kurusu perks up a bit, “Yeah… That sounds nice, I’ll go find Morgana later if he doesn’t come back.” He moves to get the chess supplies from behind the counter.
Goro smirks inwardly. Victory achieved.

Can you write about team 7 going through puberty 😆
The Springtime of Our Lives
Disclaimer & Other Warnings
Author’s Note: I completely forgot I had started this one. Maybe because it’s not finished? (Another story that started out short and then became a three-parter, haha!) Anyhow, here’s the beginning of this prompt, the next two will be forthcoming…hopefully within the week? We’ll see how I’m feeling :P
Part I: Flowering Time
The latestmission is a complete snafu.
Team 7 is sentout to help watch a shepherd’s flock after he and his entire family come downwith a debilitating flu. It’s lambing season, when thieves and predators stalkthe herd, and so the Hokage saw fit to send a genin squad to keep an eye out.
It should havebeen a simple mission, something which Naruto complained loudly about the wholeway there. It turns out, though, that watching sheep is more difficult thanexpected, and not for the difficulties common sense might suggest. In fact, sheep have an innate genius for self-inflicted harm. The beasts are too stunnedto file through an open gate, but apparently have an inventive talent forgetting themselves killed.
Sakura and therest of her team spend three days following the woolly demons to keep them fromwandering off high bluffs, choking themselves on low-hanging branches or treeroots, and poisoning themselves on toxic plants. They almost lost one todrowning, and at some point, Naruto came up with the bright idea to scare theminto running into their pen, instead starting a stampede.
And then therewas the wolf.
Everything just wentbad after that, Sakura thinks with a wince.
Everythinghurts, from her eyelids to her breasts.
Not thatthey’re really breasts. She canbarely see them when she examines herself in the mirror at night, wishingjealously for the same chest growth-spurt that Ino has already experienced. Still, they ache enough to make their existence known. Almost as much as the stabbingpains in her abdomen.
I swear, if I caughtsome bacteria or bug while tramping through the mud and sheep crap, I am goingto kill Kakashi.
All Sakurawants to do right now is curl up in her bed and sleep.
Somehow, everything is rubbing her the wrong way right now. Her hands sting hotly,sweat-covered and yet chapped, and there’s a blister blooming beneath the ball ofher left foot. Every crevice of her feels too hot and damp and chafing. It’s as if she’s far too bigfor herself, and she is far more conscious of the smell of her body than shewould like.
I need a shower like right now, she decides vehemently, and wonderingin silent horror if her teammates can smell her.
Almost themoment this fear rises up, Naruto calls her name suddenly.
“Oi! Sakura, you’rebleeding. Why didn’t you say you were hurt?”
Their littletravelling quartet come to a stop. Everyone is looking at her in curiousconcern, while Sakura blinks at the sudden attention. Her other two teammatesfollow the line of Naruto’s gaze, and Sakura can do nothing but follow theircue, glancing down to see what everyone is staring at.
A red-brownstain spreads across her tunic several inches beneath her navel.
She isconfused, because she hasn’t noticed any wound to cause the blood. Going overtheir adventures that morning, she doesn’t recall any instance that could haveinjured her in such a way. She glances over at Kakashi, whose sharp eyesexamine her with experienced gravity, and then peeks at Sasuke, who seems asconfused as she is. His eyes flit over her with a curtness that doesn’t quitehide concern, and then they widen with something close to realisation.
A beat later, his cheeks go red; she can’t understand his look before it snaps away.
“Ah,” Kakashisays quietly, like this is something he was expecting.
Later, Sakurawill be embarrassed at the several moments it takes for the small, blossomingstain of red-brown to make sense, and the additional time it takes for thesignificance of its location to set in. When it does, she experiences a jolt toher heart and the tingling sensation of her cheeks losing blood. Consciousnessof her body’s various sensations all rush back to her then, the cramping painthroughout her pelvic area, the damp sensation between her legs and up acrossher tailbone, the vague nausea—
She’s nevergone through it before, but she knows without doubt what it is.
It’s herperiod.
Sakura isfinally menstruating after waiting on it for ages, and she didn’t notice because the aches and pains of theirmission masked it. She experiences a bizarre compulsion to laugh at that—
Hah! And Ino doesn’teven have hers yet! She’s gonna be so jealous that I’m awoman first, Shannaro!
—beforeanother realisation crashes into her.
She’s gottenher monthly bleeding in front of her three teammates.
Her three male teammates.
Two of whomare the absolute last people she would want to know about this, because one isthe boy she’s utterly in love with and the other one is Naruto.
Sakura yelpsand vaults into the tree-lined path, away from them and ignoring the shouts forher to return.
She doesn’tstop until she finds a shaded bush off in the distance, where she candiscreetly try to deal with the problem. A swath of bandages in her med kitserve as a makeshift pad within her underwear to stop some of the flow, but herclothing remains saturated. There’s no scrubbing the blood from the front orback of her tunic.
Why? Why? WHY?!
She knocks herhead against a nearby tree, as if that will keep the hot blush from her cheeks.Tears gather in her eyes, as much out of mortification as her growing awarenessof just how much her abdomen hurts.
Several yardsaway and out of view, she hears a familiar cough and cringes.
“Will you bealright, Sakura?” Kakashi asks, calm as usual. He’s very good at keeping anyinflexion out of his words, but she saw his eyes before she fled. He is notcomfortable with this.
“I…I’ll befine. I’ll be right back,” she sniffs, hoping she can keep from crying; that’sall she needs right now is to have puffy eyes on top of this! What would Sasukesay?!
“Sakura, youhave nothing to be ashamed of,” Kakashi goes on, and she winces, expecting himto transition into an awkward talk about the ‘mysteries of her body’ the wayher mother did. “Have you gone through this before?”
“…No,” shewhispers.
“Do you needme to explain…?”
“No!” sheyells that before she can stop herself, and then in a quieter voice she adds,“I know what to do. My…my mother told me. And we…we had a class.”
“Alright.” Hesounds relieved. “Then you also know that you have to report to the hospitalwhen we get back to the village? All shinobi must be on some form of birthcontrol for field missions once they…once the time is right.”
“I know that,”she retorts, tone short as she hugs her elbows to herself in embarrassment. She just wants to be done with this!
“This is notsomething to be ashamed of, Sakura,” Kakashi tells her gently, and she realisesshe spoke out loud.
She clenchesher eyes shut, humiliated.
“I know, Iknow! the miracle of life and now I’m a woman and all that! I already know allthat, Kakashi-sensei, so please—”
“It’s not justthat,” he interrupts. “Think of it as your body’s way of conditioning you.”
Sakura pausesat this, having never had it put that way to her before.
The woman whotaught her and the other girls about the menstrual cycle explained it in softterms such as ‘moon time’ or visits from ‘Little Miss Strawberry’, a time ofher body weeping because it had no child. That it was a sign of a woman’sweakness that needed to be overcome by ignoring both the pain and crudeness ofit.
Her ears perkup. “Conditioning? Like training?”
“Exactly,”Kakashi says.
Sakura pauses, and then cautiously comes out from behind her hiding space to consider herinstructor. He is lingering against a tree, casual and unimposing, and keepinga respectful distance.
“What do youmean?” Sakura asks, taking a tentative step forward, though the bushes stillobscure her lower body.
“You arecapable of handling greater discomfort than either Sasuke or even Naruto willever be able to do,” Kakashi tells her. “Considering the pain both of them havehad in their lives already, that’s rather substantial.”
Wait, what?
“As kunoichi, you’re expected to meet all the same standards as male shinobi—and that’s whileenduring a regular pain that men never can,” he continues. “That makes youstronger in many ways.  And that’s noteven referring to those women who choose to become mothers. They’re in acategory of their own. That magnitude of strength was never meant to be asource of shame; if it was, it would not have been a function necessary tohuman survival.” He cocks his head, meeting her gaze. “Don’t you think?”
“I-I…”
Sakura’sthoughts stagger together at that, because it makes the kind of obvious sensethat she feels silly for not considering earlier. If she hadn’t had peopletelling her from childhood that this was the sort of thing she had to hide orbe worried about others knowing, she might have reacted to its occurrence withmere curiosity. Or shrugged at it as a quirk of the female human body.
Even hermother, in her sympathetic way, told Sakura that it was a woman’s task toensure no man knew if she was undergoing her ‘flowering time’.
“Men areuncomfortable about this sort of thing,” Mama informed her when Sakura was theage to start asking questions. “So, it’s better to only talk about thesematters with other women around.”
Girls atschool always talked about accidentally bleeding through their clothes with thesame severity of losing control of their bladder in public.
One of those things Ican control; the other, I can’t.
The notion isone she suddenly understands that not many people—even other women—are able tomake.
“Well?”
Kakashi isstill watching her face, the gleam in his eye suggesting he’s watching her cometo her important conclusion and glad that she has.
“Yes,” Sakuraagrees, and it feels almost like something invisible or intangible has settledirreversibly into place. “That makes sense.”
“I thought so,too,” he agrees. “I’ll tell my girlfriend that she’s incredibly smart.”
Sakura snortsat this. “Right. As if I’d believe youhave a girlfriend.”
“I do.”
“No offense,Kakashi-sensei, but no one who reads as much porn out in the open could get agirlfriend,” Sakura tells him. “Women have standards.”
Kakashi’s wideeyes suggest he is gaping at her, and then he sighs loudly.
“No respect…,”he sighs in a long-suffering voice, and glances up at the sky to judge thetime. “Anyhow, it’s getting late. We can either sit here in this bush forever,or we can get up and go home. I’m open to both, but personally I’d suggest thelatter, because at some point we’re all going to get hungry. And between youand me, I don’t trust Naruto not to try to kill and cannibalise Sasuke.”
“As if Sasukewould let him,” Sakura sniffs, automatically coming to the defense of theUchiha boy. Kakashi’s eyes crinkle a bit at that, and Sakura can’t help her owntiny smile. Then she exhales and steels herself: if she can handle walking backinto Konoha with blood seeping through her clothes, she can do anything.
This is not something to be embarrassed about.
Besides, maybeeveryone will just think I was wounded on the mission, she adds insomething too false for hope. It’s very obvious where her bleeding is comingfrom, so she’s not especially confident about that possibility. Come on! Just suck it up and go!
Of course, asusual, it’s easier to brave in her head than it is outside.
Kakashiperhaps notices her hesitation, because he suddenly shrugs out of his flakjacket; a red spiral tattoo stands out starkly against the pale skin of hisbicep. Before she can comprehend his puzzling action, he pulls it inside-out bythe sleeves until only the dark-blue interior shows and holds it out to her.
“Your choice,if you want,” he tells her, and Sakura gratefully accepts.
I’ll be brave aboutbleeding through my clothes some other day, she decides as she wraps the jacket around herwaist; the sleeves hang across her front in a way to obscure the stain there. Just…not today…
She feelsthat, considering the misadventures with the sheep, she is totally justified innot feeling very confident right now.
“Let’s go,”she says at last, fighting against the nervous tremble in her voice as shestands up.
She tries notto feel so very conscious of the feeling of her thighs rubbing and the waddedpad of linen between her legs.
Sakura tiptoesout from behind the bush and heads back to the road where Sasuke and Naruto arewaiting. They’re loitering noticeably, and when she gets within three feet ofthem, the three preteens look at each other and then quickly look away.
Kakashireturns and says, “Let’s get going, kids,” and heads onward. In uncomfortablesilence, his students follow him.
While theycontinue their walk, Naruto sneaks glances at her, oddly tense. Sakura suspectsKakashi explained to him what was going on before he came looking for her. Theblond boy looks unsure if he’s grossed out or intimidated or in awe of her, andso has settled for rude staring.
As if he has any business staring at me?!
Sakura isabout to reach over and punch him for it, when he swivels suddenly and demandsof Kakashi, “Hey, Kakashi-sensei, did that tattoo hurt? I wanted to get one forbecoming a genin, but the stupid old man doing the tattoos said it hurt toomuch for kids. I told him I could take it, but he didn’t believe me. Maybe ifyou put in a good word for me…?”
The babble islouder and more noticeable than usual, the way forced conversation tends to be,but it’s a step back to normal. Sakura relaxes a bit, glad that Naruto isn’tgoing to be his usual tone-deaf self and start asking a bunch of embarrassingquestions.
It’s hard tobe completely at ease, though, especially as Sasuke doesn’t even look at her. That makes her already shaky confidence waver. What if this embarrasses him somuch he can never look at her again without remembering her bleeding throughher clothing?
But then whileNaruto starts to describe the tattoo he wants (a robot fighting a giantlizard), Sasuke suddenly speaks: “Ginger.”
“Huh?” Sakurasays for wont of anything intelligent to say.
“Ginger tea,”he clarifies, not looking at her but, is she imagining it, or is the back ofhis neck red. “My father always made my mother ginger tea when she was… Iteases the pain.”
“I…yeah, mymother says that, too,” Sakura replies shyly, cheeks warming once more. It’s sorare that he talks about his family, that she almost forgets what he’s makingreference to.
“It’s alsoeasier to find than something like dark chocolate if we get assigned a longmission away,” he continues. “We should all stock up.”
He quickenshis pace then, putting distance between them and an effective end to any furtherpossible conversation.
But the restof Sakura warms at that. Though she knows he is simply taking this all in hisusual logical stride—a member of his team experiencing monthly bouts of paincould affect their mission—it’s still a show of Sasuke’s concern.
It almostmakes up for him having witnessed the most embarrassing moment in her entire life.
Almost.
つづく
Hopefully you enjoyed it!
I wasoriginally going to have this be a short one-shot with each of our team members goingthrough a different, humorous challenge. But while I was writing Sakura’s bit,I started to move away from the humour theme and started to tap into an annoyanceI’ve always had about how people talk about girls going through puberty. Womenare shamed about their periods from long before they even have them, conditioned to hide them and feel guilty when they accidentally bleed throughtheir clothes or are too pained by cramps to go outside. And heavens forbid theyeven mention it within the hearing of a man, for goddess sake, hissensibilities! *gasp*
So, this fic sort ofevolved into a three-parter dealing with the not-so-fun bits of puberty in amore informative, open-manner. If you want to see me write the funny side ofpuberty, check out Walk a Mile. I’llbe dealing with it there. For this 3-parter, though I’ll examine the emotional andphysical toll it can take on kids going through these changes, especially in amixed-group setting. That’s not to say there won’t be any humour, but that’s not going to be the focus. I hope that’sokay, since the prompt didn’t specifically require humour…
Anyhow, that’s my long-ass postscript. Until next time!

Shout out to FF writers!
WARNING: ME GUSHING ABOUT MY FAVORITE AUTHORS. VERY LONG. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
//YOU CAN SKIP THIS PART. This is just me explaining why I felt that I needed to say thank you.//
This weekend was a very sad event for me. I decided to read some stories, when I got a notification about one of the stories I follow. I was so excited to have a little happiness this weekend. I figured I would make a giant post on some of the authors I stalk follow.
Here it goes! This list is so long. So very long. I’m sorry but I couldn’t control myself. There’s so many stories that I love! As I was skimming for errors, I found myself adding more, and more, and more stories and authors. ;-; So very sorry for how long this is. I keep saying it’s long...
All of these author’s are amazing writers and I’ve noticed how friendly they are with their followers. So this is my thank you. Thank you for writing. Thank you for escaping from our lives for a few minutes, hours, days... You are appreciated.
@anoceaninthesun - Her story A Stitch In Time - Rated T. (Sakura and The founders) It’s not finished yet but that shouldn’t stop you from reading it. The wait is worth it when the upload does happen. I honestly haven’t something like this yet. Time travel yes, but how it happens and the..I can’t spoil it. Just read it!
@shyyynobi - You Are My Fate - Rated M. (MadaraxSakura and some TobixSakura) Honestly one of my favorites. It’s something I haven’t read before. The story starts off with Sakura and Madara in a warring states type era. By the next chapter we see our lovelies in the future. Each chapter is dedicated to each era. I love personally love it, and it makes it easier to understand which era they’re in. I can reread it over and over while waiting for the update. Her chapters are long which makes the wait even better! (Plus, I love her version of Madara. Also, the author is a total doll.)
[Lust for Life] Rated M. Angst/Romance. (TobiSaku). Summary from FF. “They both knew this would end.  They both knew the reality of what they were doing. Yet, they couldn’t stop it from happening - because bearing the weight of  your pain alone can be too much.” This is a Teacher/Student story. Don’t worry, Sakura is in college and is the legal age. You all need to read this! Only three chapters out so far. But no rush. Never rush!
@astroaves -
[Uchiha MC] - Rated M. For very good reasons! -coughlotsofdirtysmutcough- (MadaraxSakura) Another favorite of mine. Her take on the MC is wonderful and I love the smut. The pure smut. It’s almost every chapter and I love it. The chapters are so well written that you can feel like you’re there.
[Homeward] - Rated M. - (MadaraxSakura) I really love this one. The story starts off where Sasuke was fighting Danzo on the bridge. Sakura gets shot back in time and has to find her way home. You get to see Sakura as a total BAMF. A very sassy Izuna and a sassy Madara. Beware of Sakura’s baby hands!
[Never Have I Ever] - Rated M. SUPER MATURE. SO MUCH SMUT. BRING SOME NAPKINS, ‘CAUSE YOU GONNA BE SWEATING. Romance. (MadaSaku.) It has smut. Lots of it. You go in thinking it’s going to be a cute story. You come out feeling absolutely filthy.
@beyondthemoor - She has tons of stories out that I love. I can’t just pick a favorite! I do really like her tipsy series. It’s a series of one shots that follow Sakura as a BAMF and a over medicated Madara (honestly, it came out when Obito was calling himself Madara). You’ll see our favorite Uchiha brothers, Itachi and Sasuke, and the rest of the gang. Her FanFic account is [here]. She’s usually on tumblr though! Tipsy and Tipsy II: Drunk are rated T. Tipsy III, IV, V, and VI are all rated M. For good reasons. ;)
[Tipsy] [Tipsy II: Drunk] [Tipsy III: Forget] [Tipsy IV: Confessions] [Tipsy V: Mistakes ][Tipsy VI: The Morning After]
@sariasprincy - Saria has a ton of good stories out! There are tons of ItaSaku, MadaSaku, and some other Saku ships. They’re all pretty spicy!
One of my favorites is [Blurred Lines]. It is a MadaSaku one. I really like how Madara is international criminal, but is also a sweet person towards Sakura. Even though she hated the attention at first and wanted nothing to slap some cuffs on him. This is a must read!
I’m also suggesting [Brand], [Branded], [Cat and Mouse], [The Choices We Make], [Battle of Wits], [In a Past Life], [Is There Somewhere], and [The Firm].
Brand (MadaSaku. One shot), Branded (MadaSaku. One shot), Cat and Mouse (MadaSaku. One shot), Is There Somewhere (MadaSakuTobi. One Shot), The Choices We Make (MadaSaku. 5 chapters). The Firm (ItaSaku. One shot) are all rated M!
Battle of Wits (MadaSaku. One shot) - Rating T. Based in the Pokemon Universe. Really good one shot! Go read it!! In a Past Life (MadaSaku. One shot) - Rating T. This one is a Soulmate AU. It’s a quick oneshot but worth the read! ACTUALLY, GO READ ALL THE STORIES! THERE IS TOO MANY TO PICK!
@vesperlionheart - How do I say this...? Uh, VESPER IS AN AMAZING WRITER. You don’t want to stop reading her stories once you start. Every story I start to read, I just get sucked in. I feel like I’m there in the story. All her stories are amazing. I could sit here and gush about them all day and night, but let them link some of my favorites.
[Obelisk: Kingdom of Man] (Sakura, Sasori, Sai, Akatsuki. T. One shot. Romance/Adventure. ), [Obelisk: Kingdom of Beasts] (3 chapters. T. Sakura. Romance/Adventure.) , [Obelisk: Kingdom of Monsters] (14 chapters. T. Sakura. Adventure/Romance), and [Obelisk: Kingdom of Gods] (21 chapters. T. Sakura, Gaara, and Sasori. Romance/Adventure.) Guess what?! They’re all completed! Yes! I loved them all. It was something I have never read before.
[Red King] - Rated T. Adventure/Romance. (Sakura, Itachi, Shisui, and Madara) Okay, okay. This story is a one shot. It’s a very long a whole 65k words! I started reading this one night and I could not stop till I knew what happened. Once again, she amazes me with her ability to pull you. The world, the scenes, everything in my opinion are so well written. You seriously need to read this one!
[Her Favorite Criminal] - Rated T. Romance. (MadaSaku) This is where Madara is Sakura’s favorite criminal. Currently there is only 4 chapters. I know, I know..I’m sad too. It’s a good read with the current chapters out so far.
[Under the Rabbit’s Moon] - Rated T. Romance. (SakuraxFounders. Also has the cute younger brothers.) WARNING: SAKURA IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER BAMF IN THIS! This story is still uncompleted, but that’s okay. It’s worth the wait. Trust me. In this story Sakura didn’t get her happy ending. Her friends are dead and the only thing she wants at the start is vengeance upon the person who took them away. Sakura is sent back to the past. This is not your normal time travel story. In this one, Sakura is “gifted” God like powers. Only...Kaguya is hiding in Sakura’s mind. I’m pretty sure it’s her mind. Anyways, be prepared for a very cute Izuna (Overly jealous, but I do love me some izzy <3) , Kawarama (needs to be protected at all costs), and Itama (precious baby)!
[Nightmarish] - Rated T. One shot. Romance/Supernatural. (SakuraxMulti.) Okay, seriously go read this one. After go read Nightmarish Dawn. Like now!
[Nightmarish Dawn] - Rated T. One shot. Romance/Adventure. BAMF Sakura. Sequel to Nightmarish.  (Sakura, Itachi, Shisui, Madara, and Sasuke.) A very interesting story. Totally worth the read. I haven’t read something like it before.
[Forever is an Awfully Long Time] - Rated T. One shot. Romance/Hurt/Comfort. (MadaSaku) Ugh, my heart, it hurts. I loved this. I’m just going to post the summery, because otherwise, I don’t know how to explain this. “He was too dark to be her Peter Pan and she was too shrewd to be his Wendy Darling, but somehow they found their way to Neverland together.” Prepare to be punched in the heart.
[The Deathless One] - Rated K. One shot. Romance/Humor. (MadaSaku). Sakura being a naughty girl and using ancient ninja- arts, dun dun dun BLACK MAGIC! Very cute one shot. Please go read.
@stormears - So it seems l had added you to my favorites long, long, long ago. In fact.. FF isn’t even telling me when I added you! The horror! According to FF, I added you, uh... 00-00-0000 years ago. I’m glad I randomly found you on tumblr. Because when I went to add you to my favorites, you were already there!
[Chasm] - Rated M. WAY M. Suspense/Romance. Ongoing. (MadaSaku). So this is a very interesting start to a multi-chapter story. Right now there is only one chapter. Get this, though. The first chapter is nearly 28k words. You heard that right! Nearly 28k! Right now we are waiting on chapter 2. We have to be patient though. Good writing takes time. I highly suggest this! It’s the start to something great.
Summary from FF. “When she was a child, Sakura held Ino’s hand. And then she held weights and a gun and a steel bat. Then she killed a monster with her bare hands. One of the beasts saw her that day, with blood up to her elbows and it began to follow her. For days. For years.”
[Lack of Sleep] - Rated T. Romance/Humor. (MadaSaku.) This is pure fluff. Go read it.
@radiantelle - Currently has one story uploaded to FF. [Shades] - Rated M. Romance/Drama. Ongoing. (Madara, Sakura, Tobirama, and Izuna.) BAMF Sakura. Time travel. Precious Uchiha brothers (especially Izzy. <3) Old man Tobirama and the lovable Hashirama. Go.Read.This.Now. I love it. You’ll love it. My cat loves it.
@rhearenee-magane - She is a very sweet person. I love that you took the time to reply to my review. <3 Anyways, on to the stories!
[Evil Knockin’ at My Door] Rated T. Supernatural/Humor. Ongoing. (MadaSaku.) So honestly, I haven’t read something like this before. Which is good. Because I love finding new stuff to read. Summary from FF. “She should have known that meddling with an unknown kinjutsu would have it’s consequences. She should have kept her feelings in check and should have known entering a power play with one of the most powerful shinobi of all time wouldn’t end well. But dammit, she won’t let him have the last word.” In this, Madara is a ghoooost! Sakura did an unknown kinjutsu and boom! Ghosty Madara appears. This story has a very unique plot. I honestly haven’t found something like it before. Which is good. Be ready for a tricky Madara, Sakura maybe catching feelings, and some nice, steamy kisses. This story only has 16 reviews, which blows my mind with how good it is! Go read it!
[Forward Thinking] - Rated T. Adventure/Romance. Ongoing. (MadaSaku). This one is a time travel story, but it has a twist! It’s Madara who get’s sent through time! Madara finds himself in the future. He has no idea what his future self has done. Sakura and Madara are both very sassy in the first chapter. Only one chapter out right now. But that’s okay. Good things take time!
@silverfootstepswrites - Is the author of Eastern Suns. Go read it. Now.
[Eastern Suns] - Rated M. Crime. Complete. (ItaSakuTobi.) “Gritty streets of Hong Kong. A golden gun. Haruno Sakura is the last person you want to cross in this city. A lady doesn’t get to be a triad without a few tricks up her sleeves.” This story was a wild ride from start to finish. It was so good. You get drawn in and you never want to leave.
Okay sooooo, this is getting super long. I’m sorry, but I couldn’t help myself. I’ll just start linking the remaining stories and their authors!
[Saudade by flosculous](Rated M. MadaSaku. Ongoing.) / [Dying Embers by Rise of The blossom](Rated M. Main ShishuixSakura. Itachi. Ongoing.) / [Kozetsu by gummiwummi-chan](Rated M. One-sided SasorixSakura. Ongoing.) / [Flames that Burn by Myem04](Rated M. Complete. ItachixSakura.) /
These are dark: [Modus Opernadi] [Why The Caged Bird Sings] [Her Madara] [Bloody Kisses -SasSaku] These all are by @ofhealinglove. All of them are lovely. She updates when she can. No rushing! [Euphoria] by [AliceWolffe] - Her FanFic account.)

Kaiyo’s possession
Tumblr media
Welp time to talk about anankos’ possession of Kaiyo in revelations.
As you all probably know from reading all the shit i write about him, kaiyo was neglected in his family because of the MU and also is just jealous of his two older brothers greatly, so on top of being neglected and jealous he also feels like his mother loves the MU more then him so he just distances himself from his whole family pretty much his whole life because he hated how almost all of their goals in life revolved around the MU, especially hinoka. The only ‘ Hoshido ‘ royal that he liked was azura because they were both able to relate to each-other a lot since they both feel like they don’t belong and things of that nature.
Of course when the MU is brought back he is just as “ excited “ as everyone else is. Though he tries to isolate them a lot silently by asking them to do things with him and only him, asking them to go shopping with him, to help him with things, to play games with him, to only pay attention to him because if he can do anything he can prove to his sibling that he is the better sibling out of all of them, or that’s what he thinks.
So in revelations when the MU is able to unite both kingdoms because of their kindness and they all still love the MU when he feels like he can’t even earn the love of his own mother he degrades incredibly fast and by the time they end up in valla he has probably been possessed for a while now but was just waiting for a perfect moment to strike. He’d start by luring azura away and locking her somewhere so she can’t stop him but he would spare he because he loves her and he was the only ‘ real sibling ‘ he had while in hoshido.
After that he’d probably royal the mu and the hoshido royals away from everyone by saying something bad happened to azura only for the mu, hinoka and sakura to get separated from takumi, ryoma and kaiyo by ‘ accident ’ (ie, he planned for a part of the castle to collapse to get him alone with his brothers), the others try to find another way to the boys so kaiyo is alone with them and they are approached by enemies so they ready to fight but instead kaiyo attacks them both from behind and with the help of the possessed soldiers is able to take their weapons and render them helpless. He, of course, ends up hurting them and probably leaves them barely alive for when hinoka, sakura and the MU find him and then taunts the MU and the two sisters about how easy it was to trick them all because no one ever paid attention to him and thought he was just their innocent little brother when in reality he hates them all (which isn’t true but i’ll go into that another day/on another post)
With possessed Mikoto also bring present during this all it only makes it worse really because he is always looking for his mother’s approval and to make her proud of him so possessed mikoto would probably tell him how proud she is of him as he goes to strike the MU, hinoka and sakura with takumi and ryoma’s legendary weapons (though they hurt him if he uses them he still doesn’t stop because he wants to prove he is worthy and stronger then them and is able to wield some sort of legendary weapon), since, despite his class, he knows how to use both bows and samurai swords jue like takumi and ryoma do (this goes back to the fact he doesn’t actually hate his siblings, he is just incredibly jealous)
Azura probably is able to escape thanks to the help of the nohr siblings that knew something was wrong and they all rush to confront kaiyo because azura knows he is possessed now. Mean while kaiyo is fighting the three with the help of other valla soldiers and the possessed versions of mikoto and sumeragi. The whole time he goes on about making mikoto proud of him and being able to take his place in hoshido as a true prince instead of some second hand child that he was before.
You either kill him to end the battle but killing him means, ya know, he is dead dead, gone for good, yeah, or you wait out his attacks until the nohr siblings and azura arrive and azura will then purify him of the possession but you would need to kill possessed mikoto and sumeragi to do this.
one he is purified he is probably just as injured and almost dead as the two brothers are because he tried to wield the legendary weapons and he also would have intense guilt from attacking his siblings and trying to kill them, at this point you can also decied if you want to just kill him not or not because he would beg for you to kill him for betraying them (despite he was possessed), if you choice not to he would only curse the MU more for being so kind, something he feels like he can’t achieve because of how he is, but it wouldn’t be long before he just passes out from his injuries and exhaustion, but he would be alive.

It all starts with the change of kushina’s death. To try to save her life she is escorted to the Uzumaki village, where she would give birth and there they are attacked. The village is in ruin, kushina is dead and her child is lost.
Minato had gotten there as quickly as possible and there he fought the rampaging nine tail and attacker. He is hurt, and after sealing the fox into his son, the only possible vessel for the nine tails as their chakra was too large for anybody without the genes to hide it
So Minato dies also, and old man sarutobi gets there and doesn’t know what to do
He knew from Itachi that something was going on.
And the attack exemplified there were traitors in the mids of hidden leaf and  more importantly inside the anbu and inside the kage council.
So he calls the only person possible to help him.
He calls Jiraiya, Naruto’s godfather, and tells him to hide Naruto from everybody
As far as anyone knows, all the namikaze family died and the nine tails is lost
The thing is, in this situation after seeing the state of Tsunade and everything else Orochimaru decides to act quicker gets into anbu to try to get closer to the secrets of the hidden leaf.
And he stumbles over the Danzo’s little experiments with the hashirama cells
He knows he needs to spill this
But thinking this is his one chance to power and immortality he waits until he can get his hands on those experiments first
But danzo gets wind of this and pins everything on orochimaru
Which makes ororchimaru a criminal and he needs to run and hide
At this point tsunade becomes is mia and emotionally broken so she will be out of the story for a while
Ororchimaru manages to get to jirayia
And trough some wonders jirayia listens to him and tries to get sarutobi to see danzo is corrupt
There is some animosity as jirayia had not taken the role of kage
Which led to mint becoming it, dying
And sarutobi and jiraya both believe if jiraya had stayed and helped the deaths could have been avoided
They do agreee they need to be careful
Danzo is not the only bad guy and they need to see how far the corruption runs and just where from danzo got all those bad secret super dangerous jutus
Meanwhile itchy and shinsui get into anbu
And shit hits the fan when shinsui gets hurt
So itachi hides shinsui and tries to heal him
Then danzo asks for the death of the uchiha
And then they go to see danzo and there they fight him
shinsui is badly hurt and is almost surely dyeing
At the same time, Izumi finds about the plan and goes to the kage and jirayia for help change itachi and shisui’s mind
Thinking that shisui died itachi kills danzo
Everyone thinks that itachi is a murder
Izumi stays in the village and using some genjutsu she manages to postpone the uchiha riots
Meanwhile shisui was helped miraculously by Shizune who was traveling inside the village
Jiraya helped itachi and shisui find her after the Danzo incident
So shisui doesn’t die YET ? MAYBE ?
I mean I have to paths here: shisui dies and kisame replaces him in the relationship role/ shinsui lives/ both kisame and shisui become part of itachi’s life
For now what is important is that they use itachi’s “crime” to arrest all the people plotting the assassination of the kage
And  that ostracises the uchihas
Not only that but both sasuke and fukagu are traitors
So he  really starts to hate the village
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY
Naruto is being raised by the sanins
You see, after escaping to one of the other smaller hidden villages orochimaru tries one more thing to obtain immortality trough the sage mode
He goes to the snake cave and actually fights his way and is almost killed by the venom
Jirayia actually finds this and runs to help orochimaru’s ass
After that, jirayia actually says he will take half the poison greatly hurting him to save orochimaru’s sorry ass
After all this time emotions hit orochimaru like a bitch and gets, in his late twenties, the whole empathy and bond thing
That starts anew the relationship between the tree seeing
Orochimaru writes to tsunade about his life
And tsunade stops feeling so alone
Returns to the village to push for reforms and becomes a very hard working and proactive politician greatly loved by the people and one of the most important factors to combat the corruption inside konoha
Meanwhile orochimaru settles down
And only sometimes experiments on himself
But now he only has the goal of making the largest library of jutus ever and documenting unique forms of jutus
So all the people would still be there only not addicts
The first cases to take in for healing are Izumi itachi and shisui
And he’s like: ”the fuck, when did I become a foster house for the uchihas”
But it work cause they look after each other and so on \
And because jirayia has to leave some times
And orochimaru is the only senin that has a “home” he ends up babysitting quite a bit
And naruto ends up calling calling jiraya dada and and orochimaru “mama” cause he has pretty and soft hair
The uchihas and eventually kabuto become “brothers”
Kabuto goes and studies under tsunade, wishing to finally change the system that done him dirty
Becoming one of the best medic nin in the while- specialising in genetic
Karin is beyond herself to finally see another uzumaki
After their village was destroyed there was a massacre
Having happened during a war the uzumakis had been hunted by lesser ninjas for their secrets sealing techniques and high chakra supply
She had been born in captivity and had barely escaped
Anyways, naruto grows up very different
Highly uprooted due to most of his time spent on the road
After itachi goes to join the akatsuki to obtain inside intel, orochimaru’s lair is quite lonely and till the Toka team arrives
and he never spent as much time with tsunade as by this time she was filled with paperwork and in line for the next hokage
So she couldn’t leave the village
Anyway all this changes when he turns ten
Jirayia sends him to school in the hidden leaf
There he lives supervised by tsunade and get to know each other better
The thing is that in school he does pretty sucky
At first everyone is super excited about him
There are never many new students
And he had such a close relationship with tsunade and the hokage
But his chakra is so unstable that he cannot do jutus correctly
And he is too impatient to use taijutsu and genjutsu
Combine that with his annoying happy go lucky attitude and be quickly becomes the class buffoon
He end iruka get to become good good friends
The events of the first episode still happen
And for the next few episodes too
Only sasuke gives a much scarier aura, since he very much hates the village
Naruto recognizes sasuke as Itachi’s lil bro and seeing how the village hates the uchias and the state of sasuke kind of make him…think, feel stuff
And they just don’t get along
They hate each other
Here I want naruto to know about the attack of the nine tails and they are sealed In him
So when irk tells him about how his parents had died
He again is said
Some talk and everyone agrees they can trust iruka and he is told the truth
Iruka gets over his pain
And their relationship is stronger
Naruto also finds out about how the bijuus are treated and seen
After the attack of the first and nine tails they became outcasts
anyway
Going back to team saven
Sakura is still there and this time she plays a quite different role
She, her fallout with ino happened because shikamaru didn’t stop his communication with sasuke
Both were pretty laid out with chill personalities
And shikamaru liked that he didn’t need to put effort in that relationship
But most people hated sasuke
Sakura was very social savvy and as soon as ino started spending more time with sasuke she was quick to fight
She was also jealous
Ever since they had started their ninja training ino had began training as a part of inoshikacho
And subsequently left sakura on her own which pushed sakura to become a ninja and be better than ino
In their teamwork test there is a lot less protest than in the original
Sasuke and naruto have more of actual animosity than a rivalry
And they are pretty much ready to fail
But after sakura is cornered and put under a genjutsu
Well they help her get out and together make a plan that still fails
But they do earn their respect and finally get on to their first mission
And for the next couple chapter things go their way.
The zabuza  arc is the same
With some changes in the character interactions
Naruto and sasuke  end up paired together and learn to trust each other
They talk about how they both feel left out inside the village and bond over their lonelyness
This is the first time sakura feels a sense of overwhelming
She becomes aware of her teammates’ situation and after the mission she vows to become stronger
next arc!!!!!
The chunin exam
Here is where things divert
So sakura actually gets the highest score in the exam and takes both minato and itchi’s records
Shikamaru could have gotten it <and would have actually gotten a higher mark but due to laziness he only did enough to pass>
Also, during the zabuza arc naruto had used the fox chakra
The zetsus found him as such and this is where the akatsuki came into play
Itachi hears of this plan to get naruto and heads out for the hidden village as he cannot find jiraya
Meanwhile orochimaru is at the the second part of the chunin exam to protect team seven from the sand nin
They run into ino’s team who was attacked by the gaara’s team
Things go bad when they are attacked and after using the fox chakra, naruto passes out
But the sand team leaves them
Hinata’s team also arrives after kiba smells blood and nejii’s team watches from afar
Due to each team having both scrolls they end up in  standstill of sorts, a strange peace agreement
This is the first time all the leaf genin interact fully and get to know each other
One the fight dulls down sasuke and sakura find naruto passed out and  ororchimaru nearby
This fear has sasuke awaken the sharingan in full form but before they can get to blows naruto stops sasuke
“hey orochimaru-sensei ….”yada yada
Naruto says that he is not allowed to say anything and orochimaru leaves saying that he needs to be careful of the sand nin gaara
Orochimaru leaves and naruto tells them not to worry
The kage knows about all this
So they leave it be for now
This is where sasuke get into a bad mindset
He is used to being the best: no amount of isolation could ever diminish his accomplishments
Yet in the last situation, naruto protected them against foe again
They make it out the forest and into the other round
This is where I leave it for now

Fluffy Fluffy Fuwa Fuwa
Disclaimer: Naruto isn’t mine.
Notes on chapter: In which Sakura gets a surprise.
Rating: T, with mild swearing.
Tumblr media
“What?”
The blonde kunoichi nods her head, a teasing smile on her face as she observes her friend.
“You can’t be serious.”
Said friend in question proceeds to negate her claim.
“Oh, but I am Forehead.”
Her smile evolves into an evil grin while the person across her continues to shake her head.
“I don’t believe you. You must be mistaken.”
“I saw it with my own two gorgeous eyes.”
Uchiha Sakura stares at Yamanaka Ino for a moment and finally inwardly admits that her best friend may be telling her the truth and not just teasing her.
“There’s nothing special about today though.”
“What? Really?” the Jounin widens her eyes in surprise.
“Not that I know of.”
Sakura tilts her head to the side and raises one of her perfectly trimmed eye brows.
“You’re right, your anniversary isn’t ‘til three months from now.”
“Yeah…”
“First date then?”
“No.”
“When he became your boyfriend?”
“We never defined what we were before he proposed.”
“Seriously? He proposed before you guys were official?”
“Well, we kinda were after he returned from his personal journey.”
“But you never called yourselves boyfriend and girlfriend?”
“We didn’t need those titles.”
“Ugh! You guys make me sick with your hearts are connected this and that, blah blah. I get it, you both have a really deep connection. It always seems like no one else is in the world with you two. I don’t know how Naruto can deal with it.”
Sakura leers at her.
“Jealous Ino-pig?”
“As if! Sai-honey and I are so smitten that we can’t barely keep our hands off each other.”
“That’s too much information.”
Even now, Sakura can’t seem to place the current Sai with the robotic Anbu she met for the first time. She is extremely happy for both her friends.
“Anyway…first fuck?”
“So crass Ino! And… No.”
“Oho, so you do remember.”
“Sasuke-kun and I remember because…”
“Ieee! I don’t want to know! Maybe the day you conceived Sarada?”
Sakura begins to count the days and swiftly stops.
“Nope, if i can’t answer that question, he probably doesn’t know either.”
“Then why?!”
“Are you really sure of what you saw?”
“Come on forehead! Think about it. Uchiha Sasuke, walking around the village, holding a bouquet of pink roses! I can’t make this shit up!”
Sakura twirls around in her office chair and slumps on her table. Ino, who is currently sitting on the desk with her legs crossed continues to scrutinize her.
“I don’t know what those are for!”
“Wow, I can’t believe it.”
The head medic runs a hand through her hair and sighs.
“I’m terrible aren’t I?”
“Your handsome husband buys you roses and you have no idea what you’re celebrating. Yeah. You’re downright heartless.”
The Uchiha matriarch playfully glares at Ino, partly for calling her heartless but mostly for saying her darling was handsome, a bit of residual feelings of rivalry still simmering in her person, though only a speck of it.
“He knows my favorite are daffodils though. We kinda have a whole symbolic thing going on with it.”
“Pink roses, they mean love, gratitude and appreciation, one that someone gives to their loved one or a suitable mate.”
“I know.”
“Hold on. Forehead. Do you think…? No. It can’t be!”
“What Pig?”
“Do you think Sasuke-kun wants to tell you he wants to make a baby again?”
“Eeeeeeh?”
“It makes sense! Love, he loves you so much that he wants to make another human being to show it! Gratitude, he’s grateful for how you’ve been raising Sarada-chan all these years and for you waiting for him. Appreciation, we all know how much he appreciated you when you were carrying his first-born. Not that he doesn’t appreciate you now but he will appreciate it if you carry his child again. That’s it!”
“I think you’re overthinking it Ino.”
“Then whyyyy? I’m so curious.”
Ino bites on the edge of her thumb as she grinds her teeth to solve the mystery that is Sasuke buying pink roses on a day Sakura doesn’t recall is special. After all, she is privy to all things that involve the Uchiha couple.
“Aaah!” She grabs her head and ruffles her hair vigorously, a sign of frustration and impatience. Then she grips Sakura’s shoulder and looks at her pleadingly.
“Then go home will you? And find out! I can’t take this suspense!”
“But I’m not done with my shift yet.”
Sakura stares at her quizzically and lets out a nervous laugh.
“Go home.”
“I still have to do rounds in the surgical department.”
“Go home now.”
“It will only take two more hours, surely it can wait.”
“I said now.”
“Ino…”
“Fine! I’ll finish this shift for you.”
The pinkette raises her eyebrows.
“I don’t think it works that way.”
“If you don’t go home now Sakura, I swear I’ll go there myself and see what Sasuke’s up to!”
“What?”
“And you don’t want me ruining whatever surprise he has for you right?”
“That’s mean Ino-chan!”
“Oh and he’ll be embarrassed too.”
“I know you’re not seriously considering this.”
“I am and I will. If you don’t go home now.”
They stare each other down for a moment, an electric fizz connecting emerald green with sky blue. Then, both women let out a boisterous laugh as the hilarity of the situation sinks in.
“Okay, I’ll try to meet you halfway, if you make the rounds with me and look over the patients that are about to be discharged then I think I can be home in an hour. Some of them are your patients anyway.”
Ino smiles excitedly.
“You got yourself a deal.”
__________________________________
Uchiha Sakura comes home to a nervous, slightly embarrassed and glaring daughter.
Her eyes zero in on the mass of pink flowers in Sarada’s arms.
“What’s going on?”
The young girl fumbles with the bouquet and pouts.
“Papa is acting weird.”
“How so?”
“He… gave me flowers.”
Sakura comically twitches and sweat-drops, a bit of disappointment falling over her features.
So the roses weren’t for her but for Sarada.
Still though, this is incredibly sweet and cute that she couldn’t help but smile at her daughter. She decides to tease her for a bit.
“You look happy though.”
Sarada smiles lightly.
(Her daughter is such a tsundere)
“They look pretty.”
“And?”
“Papa is so… Shannaro.”
The young mother giggles softly.
“I’ll get you a vase for that.”
“Thank you, Mama.”
She walks into the kitchen and notices her darling husband, who is acting a bit weird today and widens her eyes when she realizes that he had already prepared dinner.
“Welcome back.”
“Anata?” She glances longingly at the bountiful spread before her, a hot pot, sushi, a bottle of sake and cake. Sakura blinks and looks up to see Sasuke taking his apron off.
She blushes when he walks towards her and plants a soft kiss on her forehead.
Her emerald green eyes catch the blurred form of their daughter in her periphery and inwardly chuckles when Sarada nearly breaks the vase full of pretty pink roses upon stumbling in on their moment.
“What was that for?” she breathes out when the blur of red can no longer be seen.
Uchiha Sasuke straightens up and smiles at her, right hand lingering on her waist.
“It’s a special day.”
“It’s not our anniversary.”
“I know.”
“Neither is it my birthday.”
“Of course not.”
“And we never set a date on when we became official.”
Her husband looks a bit puzzled.
“Well, if there was a date, it probably would be when I first got back from travelling.”
Sakura blushes.
“Really?”
“Aa.”
“That early?”
Sasuke nods his head.
“But that’s not what we’re celebrating.”
She puts her hands on her waist and tilts her form again.
“Then what are we celebrating?”
“You don’t remember?”
“Gomen Sasuke-kun, but I don’t.”
He pulls away and turns beet red. He shakes his head shyly and scratches his right cheek with the tip of his index finger. Then he regards her form with an air of cuteness that Sakura rarely sees on him.
“It’s the day I came back with you and Sarada.”
She stares at him, still a bit confused.
He clears his throat.
“The day after we beat Shin Uchiha.”
Her eyes clear with understanding.
And then her heart beats unbelievably fast. Her brain conjuring up an old memory and mixing it with this new, amazingly adorable one.
She pulls him by the collar of his shirt and smashes her lips to his, passionately conveying all she is feeling.
Because it isn’t fair.
How often she falls a little bit more in love with her husband everyday.

Later on that night.
“Ah! I’m so full! Thank you for the dinner, Anata!”
She opens the door connected to their room, steam coming out after and blinks at the darkness that greets her.
“Sasuke-kun?”
Her hands explore the wall, reaching for the switch.
“Wait. Don’t turn the light on yet.”
“Huh?”
“Just, a few seconds.”
Sakura hears the rustle of sheets.
“Okay.”
Their room is filled with brightness. The moment her eyes fall on her spouse’s form, all Uchiha Sakura can feel is unbearable warmth.
Because,
There was her husband, laying on his side facing her. Naked. An elbow propped on their comforter while his hand supported his head. Naked. His splendid glory out for her to see. Naked. With his dark eyes piercing into her soul, tugging it. Naked. And.
A daffodil held between his lips.
Naked.
She blinks.
“So, this…”
She gestures to his seductive pose.
“…is Naruto’s idea isn’t it?”
Sasuke stiffens and turns completely pink.
“Perhaps.“
But he holds his position.
"It’s cute.”
“You better not be referring to my…”
“Oh, we both know 'cute’ isn’t the right word for it Anata.”
He smirks.
“Come here.”
“I don’t know…Do you remember that night a year ago?”
“Yeah.“
"It was so hard…trying to hide my screams.”
“Sakura.”
“You had been craving me for so long. Kami, it had been years since we last made love that time.”
He meets her eyes again, and there is something there, something so strong that she couldn’t help but feel it tug at her soul again.
“Come to bed.”
She throws the towel off her and pads toward her sexy husband, briefly noting the glass of three daffodils on their night stand.
“Don’t mind if I do.”

A.N.: I’m so busy studying for exams but had to take a short break. This little idea came out when I was chilling and imagined a scenario between Sakura and Ino starting with the line “You can’t be serious.”
