Can I ask why you like Ashley Johnson so much? I started watching CR recently and one of my friends really dislikes her and says she isn't really into D&D like the others but wouldn't explain futher.

ah thats sad to hear, but it might also depend where your friend is starting from? i know during campaigns 1 and the first half of campaign 2 she had a lot of work acting for various live action tv shows (blindspot was the one during campaign 2) and there were long periods she was away from the actual game since they play every week, and because she was so busy she did often seem kind of frazzled and less involved; even when she was there during campaign 2, Yasha was quiet and not very social, and ashley herself seemed to forget a few of the mechanics of the game; but tbh dnd can get Complicated so i think its fair if she did (i regularly forget the mechanics of it myself and i have no such excuse as being busy)

anyway ghfjdksla point is that if your friend is watching from cr1/cr2 then that might contribute to why she seems less into DND. however Ashley is also kind of quiet in her gameplay, ive found? she's not as involved all the time, but they've also got 8 people at the table and they can only focus on a few people at a time. Ashley, from what I can see, tends to hang back a bit, but she does speak up in quiet moments and says the most outlandish weird things that are just so bizarre, and she does get involved in combat and when other PCs talk to hers. i'd recommend, if they haven't already, your friend watch EXU, she's a lot more involved in that one because she's there for the whole 8 episodes and there's only 5 players so everyone gets a bit more spotlight and the group is more of a Group rather than a large collection of smaller sub-groups (which is kind of a running thing in the full cr campaigns; again, 8 people is a LOT to manage in a group and the cohesion takes a while to set in). also maybe give EXU a try yourself if you want, it's a lot of fun chaos and if you're planning to/already watch cr3 it gives a lot of unnecessary but very fun background to Fearne, Orym and Dorian ^^

as for why i love her, WELL - she's just fricking adorable tbh, i find her mannerisms and little habits so so endearing and lovely! she makes silly faces and sits crisscross in her chair with no shoes on and wears beanies all the time and wears muscle padding to dress up like travis and wears beer stubbies on her hands like mittens and can do the funniest fucking accents and impressions of people, i just find her hilarious and endearing to watch honestly XD she's also got a really good sense of character, and she builds Yasha in cr2 very well and really nicely, she's really cool to see! and fearne is just a weird fucking delight, i adore that creepy weirdo faun with every fibre of my being, she's so good <3 also she's really pretty and has cute little hairstyles sometimes, i adore herrrrrrrr
