mental age and unfelt imaginations?

Mental Age - What if god's self-insert mary sue oc tried to take over your life because you're not as popular as your friends online? A villain with an all-powerful quirk wants to be a cool UA student, so she uses her powers to erase Hagakure from existence, take her place, and mind control everyone into loving her. But the quirk has limits, and Hagakure materializes after a time, but no one remembers her and she's re-erased if the villain realizes she's there. So Hagakure, arguably the weakest member of class 1A, has to find a way to take down a mini god by herself. This fic was inspired by the reality shifters of tiktok, who would be doing something very ethically dubious if it was as real as they claim. Imagine an interdimensional being that can change the state of the world on a whim, creating and deleting people as they see fit, and forcing everyone to love them? From the perspective of that reality's inhabitants, that's cosmic horror. For the record, I don't think they're actually shifting and hurting people, they're having vr fanfiction lucid dreams at most and op self inserts aren't a crime. But like, imagine.

Unfelt Imaginations - Princess Diaries meets Rebecca. Izuku turns out to be the son of a prince of a small kingdom. The original heir, a younger half brother Izuku didn't know he had, recently died under mysterious circumstances, and they need a new heir to secure the monarchy and prevent a faction of extremists from completely taking over the country. But being royalty is a lot of pressure and everyone openly talks about liking the old prince more, so Izuku starts to resent him. Until he finds out how he actually died.

Several pro heroes pick up vigilantism as a way to avoid the extraordinary amount of paperwork they have to file through. Unfortunately, they aren't good at hiding their secret identity.

2) Perpetuality

Fantasy AU where a kingdom is frozen in time until Izuku sets foot in it. He immediately regrets it.

3)The Duality of Man

All Might discovers that AFO is a loving father and husband. (To Inko and Izuku. Not because All Might marries AFO.) This is very disturbing to witness.

4)Ride or Die

Izuku goes into Shouto's room and asks his help to break into Tartarus but he can't tell him why. It doesn't matter to Shouto.

5)It wasn't me! Honest!

Vigilante Inko is furious to discover that someone broke into several prison and stolen several quirks despite the fact her husband swore that he was abroad on business at the time and Villain AFO is furious to discover someone fought several corrupted heroes even though his wife is recovering from a broken arm and swore not to vigilante until she was completely healed. Their marriage is about to explode when then realize they are both innocent.

6)Oh so it's okay for Kaminari to prank people but when I send spiders in the mail it's suddenly note okay?

Aizawa discovers that a large amount of very traumatizing events are due to Izuku's success at speeding up karma. He sets up an intervention but the problem child doesn't feel one ounce of regret.

7)Young Midoriya has done nothing wrong in his life ever!

The UA teachers and students quickly learn that trying to tell All Might about his not so secret lovechild's bad behavior is pointless, not because he refuses to believe them but because All Might will rationalize any of Izuku's insane stunts as perfectly motivated actions.

8)A little murder.... As a treat!

AFO decides to retire for villainy for a decade or two and becomes a househusband, only for his old urges to come back and haunt him. All his inner villainy is now channeled into petty fights but to be fair, Rebecca from PTA deserves everything she gets.

10)Keeping up with the Todorokis reality show

Pretty self explanatory title except that the Todorokis are under the impression that this is a documentary. Also, Dabi is regularly filmed trying to murder Endeavor but no one in the family notices it.

the courtship of rebecca catalina: In which Jean Havoc finds a Philosopher's Stone, goes ghost hunting, fights a homunculus, impersonates the Flame Alchemist, prevents the apocalypse, attempts to parent the Elrics, and wins Rebecca's heart--not necessarily in that order. Jean Havoc/Rebecca Catalina

katana: In which Roy Mustang attempts to find the missing Katana Fleet, the Elrics sign up to find it too, a secret organization of Sith is stirring from the shadows, and some Jedi still remain. And Al definitely isn't hiding a big secret. Nope. Star Wars AU.

what doesn’t kill you: What with serial killers, government plots, homunculi, Philosopher's Stones and murderous emperors of Xing all causing trouble, Ed and Al find that getting their bodies back has become significantly harder--and hiding the fact that they lost them in the first place near impossible. But they'll manage it--they've got an entire galaxy counting on them, after all. Mei Chang/Alphonse Elric. Science Fiction AU.

five knives: In which Ed and Al are Ishvalan on their mother's side, immortal on their father's side, Mustang doesn't deserve this amount of Elric Rubbish, soulmarks exist only to cause pain, and the universe is nearly devoured by eldritch tentacles. Mei Chang/Alphonse Elric

we are more than we are (we are one): On a dark and stormy night, three things go terribly wrong. The first: that Ed and Al attempt human transmutation, and pay a toll for crossing the Gate. (I know, you knew that already) The second: that there is no suit of armour in the room. (I know, you've seen this one before) The third: that Winry is nearby, and intervenes. (two become one, become three)

everything is fricked (there are seven Edward Elrics): In which Alphonse gets his body back far earlier than in canon, the Stop-The-Amestris-Death-Circle team does their best, Scieska's conspiracy theories turn out to be true, and Mustang becomes increasingly uncertain of the number of Edward Elrics in the world.

the inevitable fourteenth: On your fourteenth birthday, you swap bodies with your soulmate. This is interesting, to say the least, for Alphonse and Mei. It's a downright disaster for Lust and Havoc. Mei Chang/Alphonse Elric, Lust/Jean Havoc (once I finish writing the second chapter at least)

Avatar: the Last Airbender

not this time: In which Zuko realizes what's wrong with the Fire Nation and becomes the Blue Spirit three years early, Sokka is probably not an earthbender, both boys cause incredible amounts of concern and confusion to their parental figures, soulmarks are a thing, Azula steals her brother's redemption arc, and Captain Rei did not sign up for this. Zuko/Sokka

Pocketwatch Question!

I know Kitten is into Robin I/Nightwing and Dick Grayson, so my inspiration of Ace will be based on her for blond hair and blue eyes like her mother with her father's insane madness.

Matt's permanent portrayal has changed from Noah Nixon from Generator Rex to Danny Rand aka Iron Fist from Ultimate Spider-Man, I loved Greg Cipes for voicing him so much.

His portrayal starts from Noah Nixon for S1 and S2, and Danny Rand for S3 and S4...that's the procedure.

Recasting her will be good for the rivalry between Kitten Moth and Catgirl, but I chose Lucy due to the Injustice trailer video in Arkham Asylum between Harley Quinn and Catwoman in their Arkham City skins.

Lucy Quinzel's character portrayal is Annie from Generator Rex mixed with Jinx | Powder from League of Legends, and Misty's portrayal will be Beverly Holiday from Generator Rex mixed with Stocking Anarchy from Panty & Stocking.

Knowing users make redesigns of heroes and villains are very savage...follow those people who recreated them if they're really savage.

I would usually picked my portrayals by watching shows like Invincible, Young Justice, Ben 10 (Not the Reboot...it's OS/AF/UA/OV), Generator Rex, Teen Titans (2003), the Last Airbender, X-Men: Evolution, DCAMU, the Secret Saturdays, Danny Phantom, Kim Possible, the Legend of Korra, Spectacular Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man, TMNT (2003), Wolverine & the X-Men, and others.

Since Gizmo, Jinx, and Mammoth got some redesigns...Mammoth got a different design and I love it...we will choose the portrayals.

We got Psimon, Devastation, Gizmo, Shimmer, Mammoth, the Terror Twins, Jinx, Icicle Junior, and Holocaust.

Let's start with the sirens; Devastation, Shimmer, Tuppence, and Jinx...they need four more members to make this even.

I chose Blackfire, Terra, Ace, and Domino...I know Kitten was the original one till I realized that she has something I hate about her...and that'll be dating and using a mutated spider guy.

Blackfire's portrayal is Circe from Generator Rex with violet to blue dye within her black hair, I want her to be step-sisters with Wildfire and Starfire while having a big brother named Darkfire...portrayed as Moss.

Starfire's hair is an ombre with brown, pink, red, orange, and yellow for the fiery ends like fire...Blackfire's hair is now ombre with black, violet, blue, cyan, and white for the snowy tips.

Ace's portrayal is Annie from Generator Rex, the natural hair and eyes before becoming her new alias...this was Kitten's original portrayal.

Ace Spades will have Kitten's portrayed looks, Jinx's tattoos and color scheme to her hairstyle, Harley's clothing styles, Joker's insane madness, and their choice of weapons.

Domino's portrayal is still will be Beverly Holiday, though I want to give her Stocking's color scheme to her stuffed cat with Misty Kilgore's hair and clothing...her mother's portrayal is Rebecca Holiday to show off the resemblance between the two characters.

Going to the guys...Psimon, Tommy, Gizmo, Mammoth, Holocaust, and Icicle Junior.

For Billy's portrayal, I chose Walter aka Skwydd from Generator Rex.

For See-More, his portrayal will be Rex Salazar and I thought it'll be cool cause he has the Omega Nanite Goggles to the powers...watch the show...it's nostalgic.

Upon first glance, the park seems empty and devoid of any people whatsoever. Shouta walks through slowly, eyes open for anything out of place. It’s as he’s walking to the nearest bin that he sees movement out of the corner of his eye. There, laying on one of the benches deeper into the park, is a kid. A teenager, if the way they take up the whole bench is anything to go by. Shouta is a few feet away when the kid shifts, trying in vain to get their lanky form comfortable on the too-small bench, and the hood they have pulled over their head shifts, ever so slightly, revealing a shock of purple hair.

Or, Aizawa finds Shinsou sleeping in a park after getting locked out of his foster home. Aizawa takes issue with this.

A fantastic idea for a crossover between these two KJ Charles crews! It’s hard to get anyone other than Silas across that social divide, but he’s a fun guest to the Murder. And then just perfectly executed, full of friendship and the canon relationships in lowkey appearance. The sequel is much more cracky - sex pollen orgy! - but also great if that’s your jam.

ONE PIECE UA

Belmer et Nojiko s’inquiétaient beaucoup pour Nami car cette dernière, obligée de vivre seule pour ses études, se faisait à manger une fois sur deux. Ce n’est pas qu’elle ne savait pas cuisiner — elle se débrouillait même plutôt bien — mais elle détestait ça. Elle préférait donc grignoter à gauche et à droite, voire voler des sandwichs à la cafétéria quand elle accompagnait ses amies. Ne me demandez pas comment, je n’en ai pas la moindre idée.

Et un beau jour, Nami rencontra un type au sourire plus grand que lui en section sportive. Elle n’irait pas jusqu’à dire qu’elle eut un coup de cœur immédiat, mais il est beau et sacrément doué, et dès qu’il lui a parlé, elle a su qu’elle était mal partie. Il disait ce qu’il voulait sans réfléchir, et il s’intéressait à elle sans arrière-pensée. Il l’écoutait sincèrement, avec des grands yeux noirs énigmatiques, et il lui faisait des blagues foireuses qui la faisait rire par un processus incompréhensible. Quand il riait, elle ne pouvait que rire à son tour.

En bref : quand elle a rencontré Luffy, il n’a plus jamais quitté ses pensées.

Dès qu’il la voyait, Luffy lui faisait des grands signes depuis l’autre bout du campus, et tout le monde les remarquait. Mais Luffy s’en fichait, et encore une fois, si Luffy s’en fichait, elle s’en fichait aussi. C’était juste…communicatif. Toutes ses humeurs étaient communicatives. Ils ne se connaissaient pas, mais Nami se sentait déjà liée à lui d’une manière qui n’aurait pas dû être possible.

Il y avait un fait qu’elle avait remarqué immédiatement chez lui, et que toute personne douée d’un minimum de bon sens ne pouvait que remarquer, c’était que Luffy adorait manger. Elle ne l’avait jamais vu sans quelque chose à grignoter, et le peu de fois où ils avaient mangé ensemble, il avalait l’équivalent de tous les repas hebdomadaires de Nami.

Et le pire, c’était qu’il avait encore faim. Elle avait plus d’une fois entendu son ventre gargouiller, et les amis de Luffy lui passaient toujours une part de leur propre repas.

Nami avait très vite compris qu’il n’avait pas assez d’argent pour manger à sa faim, et qu’il avait une drôle de vie à l’extérieur de la fac. Il disait des trucs aberrants et Nami soupçonnait qu’il dormait parfois dans la rue parce qu’il disait se faire virer de chez lui par son grand-père. Zoro, l’un des fameux amis qui filait une partie de son repas à Luffy, avait confirmé discrètement sa théorie. Il disait à Luffy de venir chez lui dans ces cas là, mais Luffy avait dit que son grand-père lui ferait encore plus la misère.

Du coup, Nami a commencé à voler pour lui. Elle jouait de ses talents pour piquer des sandwichs et des gâteaux, et quand elle ne parvenait pas à voler assez, elle décidait — et cela la tuait — de payer un repas. Juste pour pouvoir donner une grande part à Luffy, qui la regardait comme si elle était la huitième merveille du monde.

Mais comme payer un repas à la cafétéria, ce n’était définitivement pas rentable selon ses critères, elle a décidé d’aller faire des courses…et de cuisiner.

Elle a commencé simple, et elle a décidé de taper fort : elle se ferait un repas pour elle et pour Luffy. Elle s’est rendue compte, bien trop tard, qu’elle ne mangeait pas avec lui cette journée là, alors elle lui a demandé où était sa salle et elle lui a apporté.

Elle a essayé très fort d’ignorer le regard ébahi de Luffy, le sourire narquois de Zoro et le sourire entendu de Robin.

Quand elle est arrivée dans sa propre classe et que ses amies lui ont demandé pourquoi elle était rouge, elle a sèchement rétorqué qu’elle avait dû courir dans les escaliers pour être à l’heure. Quand Vivi lui a fait remarquer qu’elles étaient au rez-de-chaussée, elle avait juste envie de sauter par la fenêtre. (Mais elle était au rez-de-chaussée, donc elle s’est contentée de subir les remarques taquines de Rebecca et Lola.)

Et petit à petit, leur groupe s’est mélangé. Principalement car Luffy a déboulé dans sa classe sans aucune gêne, qu’il a foncé droit sur elle et qu’il lui a fait un énorme câlin en lui disant : « Tu ne sais pas quoi ?! Je participe officiellement au championnat d’UFC !!! » et quand elle l’a félicité en essayant de retoucher le sol, il a dévisagé ses amies avant de leur envoyer l’un de ses fameux sourires aveuglants, et il a demandé à Vivi si elles voulaient manger avec eux. Vivi a regardé Nami, Nami a répondu sans faire exprès «Oui » à voix haute au lieu de le communiquer silencieusement à Vivi, Rebecca est partie en fou rire et Luffy semblait le plus heureux (et ignorant) des hommes.

Ah, oui : sous ces airs angéliques, Luffy était une véritable brute. Nami pouvait le confirmer de différentes manières, mais elle avait bien vu en athlétisme que chaque partie du corps de Luffy était musclé, et quand elle lui a fait un câlin, elle l’avait bien senti : il était bâti comme un athlète grec. De toute façon, il faisait tous les sports proposés par la faculté, donc c’était assez vite réglé. Le corps de Luffy était une arme blanche. Ou une machine de guerre. En manque de carburant. D’où les repas que lui faisaient Nami. Et d’où son inscription en UFC. CQFD.

Toujours est-il que quelques mois plus tard, elle s’asseyait à côté de Zoro dans les tribunes, et qu’elle avait apporté une salade froide faite maison et quatre sandwichs, dont aucun n’était pour elle. Ni pour Zoro. C’était pour l’autre idiot qui essuyait tranquillement les rires ou les sourires moqueurs avant de mettre la misère à ses adversaires.

Et le pire, dans tout cela, c’était que Zoro ne lui faisait même plus de sourire narquois. C’était devenu une habitude de voir Nami près de Luffy quand il faisait du sport — c’est-à-dire très souvent — avec quelque chose à manger pour lui. À ce stade, tout le monde attendait qu’ils sortent ensemble, car cela devenait ridicule, mais Nami vociférait qu’elle ferait ça pour n’importe qui et Luffy était juste…Luffy.

Quand Belmer et Nojiko lui ont fait la surprise de passer la voir, c’est elles qui ont été surprise : Nami était en train de cuisiner. Et son frigo était plein. Et le pire, c’était qu’elle avait l’air heureuse. Elle était concentrée et appliquée, et elle écoutait discrètement les dernières informations sur la Bourse.

Et quand elle a dû expliquer qu’elle faisait ça pour Luffy (un type qu’elles ne connaissaient même pas) et qu’elle s’est perdue sur le fait qu’il se dépensait trop par rapport à ce qu’il mangeait et qu’il avait une drôle de situation familiale et que de toute façon si elle cuisinait pour elle elle pouvait le faire pour lui…(alors qu’il ne fallait pas les prendre pour des jambons, c’était parce que Nami faisait à manger pour Luffy qu’elle se faisait à manger)

En bref, quand sa mère et sa sœur sont reparties en disant qu’elles avaient hâte de rencontrer Luffy, Nami s’est rendue compte qu’elle aimait bien Luffy. Ou un peu plus que bien.

Bon, merde : elle était amoureuse de Luffy.

Quand elle a fait part de cette découverte à Vivi, elle a fait semblant de défaillir et Nami a boudé tout l’après-midi.

Finalement, elle s’en est ouvert à Zoro, qui lui a dit d’aller emmerder quelqu’un d’autre, et Robin lui a gentiment suggéré d’inviter Luffy à manger. Nami n’a pas eu le temps de soupeser l’idée que Luffy avait déboulé dans la classe, à moitié débraillé et avec un début d’hématome sur la joue, il a envoyé un sourire plus lumineux qu’un soleil à l’encontre de Nami et lui a tendu un drôle de stylo avec des poissons, des étoiles de mer et des fausses algues dedans. (Il faisait souvent ça, et qu’à elle, ce qui faisait que Nami avait amassé un joli caillou qui ressemblait à une pépite d’or aux yeux de Luffy, un livre qu’il avait trouvé dans une cabane à livres qui parlait de l’histoire du franc, plusieurs fleurs qu’il avait ramassé on ne savait où, un lance-pierres en bois, des chaussettes qu’il avait acheté car elles étaient orange et qu’elles lui avaient fait penser à elle, et tout un tas d’autres trucs improbables que Nami avait gardé. D’ailleurs, elle avait fait percer le caillou pour en faire un collier, elle avait lu le livre et ironiquement avait eu une bonne note pour l’une de ses dissertations en reprenant un exemple du bouquin, elle avait fait séché les fleurs et les avait précieusement gardées, elle avait fait de la place sur une étagère pour mettre le lance-pierres et elle mettait régulièrement les chaussettes. Sans commentaire.)

Tout cela pour dire que lorsque Luffy lui a tendu un stylo qui ressemblait à une boule à neige, elle l’a prit sans sourciller, l’a examiné, s’est attendrie sur les poissons et a remercié Luffy avec la même sincérité qu’il lui offrait. Il a rit, et Nami n’a pas pu s’en empêcher : le filtre cerveau/bouche s’est éteint et elle lui a proposé de venir manger chez elle ce soir.

Alors qu’elle prenait conscience de ce qu’elle venait de dire, Luffy a accepté dans la foulée et lui a dit qu’ils n’avaient qu’à s’attendre à l’entrée de la fac. Du coup, Nami avait une sorte de rendez-vous avec un Luffy inconscient des enjeux et un stylo avec des étoiles de mer.

(Oui, elle a écrit avec toute la journée et non, elle n’a pas évité dignement les sourires taquins de ses amies sur son stylo. Elles n’ont même pas demandé d’où ça venait, et Nami avait espoir qu’elles pensent qu’elle l’avait acheté elle-même.)

Le soir même, c’était scandaleusement domestique. Nami avait pensé qu’elle serait gênée à toutes les étapes, mais Luffy n’était pas gêné…et s’il n’y était pas, elle non plus. Ils sont allés chez Nami ensemble, Luffy a voulu l’aider à cuisiner, il s’en est plus ou moins bien sorti, ils ont ri aux larmes et ils ont mangé l’un en face de l’autre avec un entrain et un appétit que Nami ignorait pouvoir avoir. Luffy a étendu ses jambes comme un barbare impoli, Nami ne s’en est pas soucié car les chevilles de Luffy touchaient les siennes et il est reparti après un appel de son grand-père. Nami ne savait d’ailleurs pas quoi penser de lui, car quand Luffy a dit qu’il était chez elle, elle a entendu un rire tonitruant sortir du téléphone de Luffy. Mais Luffy avait toujours un bleu, et son grand-père était toujours bizarre.

Évidemment, Nami n’a pas eu le courage de lui avouer ses sentiments, mais avant de repartir, Luffy l’a remercié pour le repas, lui a encore fait un câlin (mais cela ne voulait rien dire, car Luffy était typiquement le genre de gars beaucoup trop tactile avec tout le monde) et lui a embrassé la joue. Bon d’accord, ça, ce n’était définitivement pas ce que Luffy faisait avec tout le monde. Nami est restée devant sa porte pendant une éternité, les joues brûlantes et le fantôme des lèvres de Luffy sur sa peau. (Il avait les lèvres incroyablement douces)

Leurs repas sont devenus de plus en plus fréquents. Nami n’invitait que Luffy, et personne ne s’en plaignait. Elle leur avait confié qu’elle essayait de dire à Luffy qu’elle l’aimait, et toute leur bande l’avait remercié d’énoncer des évidences. (Elle a boudé une journée entière.)

Du coup, c’est toute leur relation qui est devenu outrageusement domestique. Elle apprenait à Luffy à cuisiner, et comme dans tout ce qu’entreprenait Luffy avec envie et détermination, il devait rapidement très doué. Ils écoutaient les informations boursières ensemble, et Luffy faisait des commentaires totalement absurdes qui faisait pleurer Nami de rire. Ils mangeaient côte à côte sur le canapé devant la télévision, et Nami aimait leurs épaules qui se frôlaient. Mais plus souvent, ils mangeaient face à face avec le bourdonnement de la radio en fond, et Nami ne se gênait plus pour étendre ses jambes aussi. Leurs jambes étaient souvent emmêlées sans qu’ils ne touchent un mot sur le sujet.

Luffy commençait à oublier des trucs chez Nami. Sa veste, que Nami lui ramenait sans faute le lendemain, car Luffy n’en avait visiblement pas d’autres. Son pull. Son téléphone. Son sac. Cela arrivait souvent quand son grand-père lui disait de revenir.

Et au fil des semaines, Luffy commençait à rester dormir. Il s’était endormi une fois sur le canapé, et quand son grand-père a appelé, Nami avait décroché avec la ferme intention de l’envoyer sur les roses. Étonnamment, il avait ri, n’avait opposé aucune résistance et avait raccroché. Elle commençait à cerner le personnage : il voulait faire de Luffy « un homme », et malgré tous ses efforts, Luffy continuait d’avoir les traits doux, un sourire enfantin, des habits colorés et un énorme chapeau de paille définitivement pas viril. La pensée que le grand-père de Luffy était en train de se dire qu’elle allait faire de lui un homme en couchant avec lui la mortifiait et l’énervait à la fois. Mais quand elle regardait le visage paisible de Luffy sur son canapé, elle pouvait bien laisser Garp croire ce qui l’arrangeait. Elle savait que Luffy était à des années-lumière de penser ça, et c’était très bien ainsi.

À partir de ce moment-là, c’était si affligeant que tous leurs amis étaient à deux doigts de hurler. Luffy dormait presque toujours chez Nami, sur son canapé, si bien que Nami avait acheté un plaid et un oreiller. Ils déjeunaient donc ensemble, et Nami n’aimait rien de plus que se lever avec le petit déjeuner déjà servi car Luffy se levait toujours plus tôt qu’elle. Elle pouvait l’écouter pendant des heures en humant la douceur odeur de café et d’agrumes pressés. Parfois, Luffy allait leur acheter des croissants, mais alors il ne prenait plus une formule complète à la cafétéria et Nami ne l’acceptait pas, alors quand il faisait ça, elle se dépêchait de lui préparer quelque chose quand il était sous la douche. Et du coup, elle se préparait aussi quelque chose, et ils venaient tous les deux en cours ensemble avant de se rejoindre le midi en sachant déjà ce qu’ils allaient manger et ils étaient parfaitement ridicules.

L’appartement de Nami avait changé. Il portait l’emprunte caractéristique de Luffy un peu partout : elle avait un de ses pulls, deux caleçons et deux paires de chaussettes de lui dans son dressing pour qu’il puisse se changer, sa salle de bain comptait une brosse à dents en plus, il y avait constamment un plaid qui traînait avec son odeur dessus et il avait une place attitrée sur son porte-manteau. Quand Vivi et Lola étaient passées, elles avait regardé l’appartement en deux fois et qualifié cela de « stupidement adorable ».

Luffy avait ramené une vieille console et ne l’avait jamais repris. Ils y jouaient et devenaient beaucoup trop compétitifs. Nami prenait toujours Daisy et Luffy ne réfléchissait jamais avant de prendre Mario, parce que c’était le personnage principal et qu’il adorait les personnages principaux. Ils pouvaient jouer ensemble jusqu’à une ou deux heures du matin, et quand ils rejoignaient leurs amis le lendemain, Nami savait pertinemment ce qu’ils pensaient, et c’est Luffy qui détruisait leur illusion en annonçant dans un grand éclat de rire qu’ils avaient joué à la console.

À la fin de l’année, Nami devenait désespérée. Luffy inondait chaque partie de sa vie, et elle n’en avait jamais assez. Elle voulait plus, bien plus. Elle voulait que Luffy ne dorme plus sur le canapé, qu’il ne lui fasse pas que des baisers sur la joue, qu’il continue à mettre un bras autour de ses épaules mais qu’il s’autorise à le passer sur sa taille. Elle voulait qu’il ait plus d’affaires chez elle et qu’il fasse son petit-déjeuner pour l’éternité.

Mais Luffy partait dans un camp on ne savait où l’été et Nami, pour la première fois de sa vie, a eu hâte de la rentrée. Luffy lui parlait brièvement tous les jours, l’appelait dès qu’il pouvait et lui avait envoyé une lettre. (Elle avait demandé à Robin s’il le faisait à eux aussi, et Robin lui avait dit qu’il détestait écrire en lui envoyant un clin d’œil. Nami n’avait pas boudé, elle avait sauté de joie et avait retrouvé tout son appétit.)

À la rentrée, c’était comme s’ils ne s’étaient jamais quitté. Nami appréhendait, mais Luffy l’a encore interpelé depuis l’autre bout du campus avec un énorme sourire et elle a décidé qu’elle en avait cure : elle a couru vers lui, et il l’a accueilli comme s’il avait déjà fait un nombre incalculable de fois. Elle a sentit qu’il avait encore prit des muscles, et étonnamment son poids était correct, alors elle a dû le lâcher et saluer Zoro et Robin à ses côtés en combattant vainement un rougissement. Luffy a rigolé et a encore hurlé, cette fois-ci pour attirer l’attention de Vivi et Rebecca, et rien n’avait changé. Le soir même, Luffy était chez elle et il faisait comme chez lui.

Ils ont été en courses ensemble, Luffy a payé la moitié car il a dit qu’il avait mit de l’argent de côté et Nami ne le questionna pas, car elle savait que s’il avait besoin, elle le dépannerait. Parce que c’était Luffy.

Il a demandé s’il pouvait rester, et Nami lui a fait un si large sourire qu’elle n’a même pas eu besoin de répondre. (Elle ne pourrait plus supporter un appartement vide. Son frigo était plein et Luffy était là, et tout était tellement mieux.)

Elle n’a pas réussi à dormir, alors elle s’est levée, et elle a regardé la douce respiration de Luffy rythmer la pièce. Elle a décidé d’envoyer au diable toutes ses réticences et elle s’est approchée. Luffy s’est réveillé instantanément en se crispant, l’esprit alerte, et Nami a mit cette réaction de côté pour lui demander si elle pouvait dormir avec lui.

Il a froncé les sourcils, lui a demandé si elle n’arrivait pas à dormir et Nami a lâchement acquiescé au lieu d’avouer qu’elle voulait juste dormir avec lui, alors Luffy a ouvert ses bras et elle s’y est faufilée sans perdre une seconde. Il l’a serré comme s’il allait la protéger contre une horde de dragons, et Nami ne doutait pas qu’il le ferait. Ils ont tous les deux loupés le réveil, plongé dans l’un des meilleurs sommeils qu’ils n’ont jamais eu, et quand ils sont tous les deux arrivés en retard à la pause, leurs amis s’étaient encore fait des films et Luffy ne dit rien, joyeux et énergique comme à son habitude, et Nami fit des batailles de regard avec tous ses amis curieux qui la questionnait silencieusement.

Elle allait déplorer son éternel amour à sens unique quand Luffy, la semaine suivante, lui demanda s’il pouvait emmener des affaires chez elle. Ne sachant pas à quoi s’attendre, Nami hocha positivement la tête, car elle dirait oui à n’importe quoi venant de Luffy, et il apporta un énorme sac de voyage le lendemain. Nami essaya très fort de ne pas se faire des films, mais ses amis ne l’aidaient pas.

Ils rangèrent les affaires de Luffy sans réellement en parler, mais l’atmosphère avait changé. Nami se demanda si elle se faisait des films, mais leur repas confirma son impression : il y avait une tension électrique dans l’air. Luffy la fixait avec ses yeux impénétrables et elle ne pouvait que maintenir docilement son regard, ayant complètement oublié comment on articulait un mot. Elle aurait oublié de respirer si ce n’était pas instinctif. D’ailleurs, elle avait oublié comment déglutir.

Quand ils allèrent se coucher, Luffy lui a demandé s’ils dormaient ensemble. Honnêtement, elle était à deux doigts du coup de chaud, et elle a dit qu’elle n’y voyait aucun inconvénient. (Comme si elle ne désirait pas ça depuis des mois et des mois.)

Et Luffy lui a demandé s’il pouvait l’embrasser.

C’est un miracle qu’elle soit encore vivante pour s’en souvenir.

Le lendemain, ses amis avaient enfin raison : ils n’avaient pas joué à la console.

Et Luffy emménagea chez elle. Rien n’avait changé, sauf qu’il restait systématiquement le soir et qu’il prenait encore plus de libertés avec elle. Sinon, elle lui apportait toujours à manger quand il faisait du sport, elle recevait toujours des cadeaux étranges, Luffy avait toujours des parts de repas de ses amis, et ils jouaient toujours à la console jusqu’à des heures ridicules. Quand ils s’apprêtaient à dormir, ils riaient sous la couette comme des enfants en bas-âge et ils faisaient l’amour comme s’ils se connaissaient depuis toujours.

Luffy voyait moins son grand-père et commençait à pouvoir maintenir un poids stable, à la grande satisfaction de Nami. Et quand Luffy a rencontré sa mère et sa sœur, tout était parfaitement ajusté.

Belmer et Nojiko ne se sont plus jamais inquiétées pour les repas de Nami. Et elles ne se sont jamais autant régalées que lorsqu’elle leur a fait à manger avec Luffy pour qu’ils dînent tous les quatre ensemble.
