the question came to mind of "in your ship, how might the larger/stronger party pick up or carry the smaller one?" and these were the answers i came to
This is best moment in the entire show. Tbh the best moment in any cartoon I've ever watched.
I cannot explain what feeling I had the moment this happened. I never expected deaf representation in Helluva Boss of all things, but I am so glad it happened.
I immediately got extremely emotional, almost cried. I'm emotional writing this even. It typically takes a while for me to get super emotional in any scene, but this hit me immediately. No media has achieved that.
And I'm not even deaf, and no one I know personally is deaf, yet I still felt this way. I know how important this scene has to be for deaf people. It's... incredible.
hc that jason had the worlds worst smokers cough, popcorn lung wheeze, and lawnmower dad snore known to man before he died, and when he came back from the pits his lungs healed and begins the cycle of smoking a pack a day for no other reason than that he truly believes that if the joker can’t take him out a plant rolled in paper wont either.

thinking about how Oda chosing Luffy, a pirate, to be the protagonist of One Piece may be one of the most brilliant story moves by any shonen mangaka ever. by virtue of its main character being an in-world criminal, OP naturally lends itself to becoming a story about the exposure of a society festering with corruption for what it really is, and the dismantling of a dystopia and its propagandist facade. you simply do not get a story like that with a shonen protagonist who conforms to or tolerates the shitty system they're born into
Everyday i think about this screenboard scene that got semi-scrapped from Donnie vs Witch Town, like it just explains so much about Donnie as a character and i’m very sad we didnt get to see it entirely
rewatching season one really makes me see how will's right, mike is the heart.
he's the one who insisted to look for will to hopper.
he's the one who convinced lucas, and dustin by proxy, to ignore the adults and look for will.
he is the one who brings up the fact that el is scared and hurt while lucas and dustin are yelling.
all these examples are within ep 1 and the first fourty seconds of episode two. mike was always the heart. he just lost his way after outside expectations. at the end of the day, he is the care and love and protection of the group.
of course mike is going to date el even if it doesn't make him happy. of course he's going to conform to ideals of the outside world. all he wants are for his friends to be happy, so he'll conform to the expectations of what the outside world says he should want, what his friends think he wants, what el wants. fuck, even what he thinks will wants, since the painting. he is the perfect victim for comphet, because it was never about him. it was always about his friends.
me: so i've gotta do a thing about a book coming out and it's fine but also i asked the author for an advance reader copy of the book since im quoted in it
my therapist: wait you're in a book? why?
me: oh you know, the whole The Dress thing
therapist: ...cates. im sorry, i have to derail this session. you were responsible for The Dress? like, that was you?? your post is the one that went viral???
me: yes? wait. WAIT. have i never mentioned this in the 2.5 years i've been seeing you??
therapist: CATES, NO YOU HAVE NOT. WHAT?? i've got a lot of questions and sorry but this is what we have to talk about right now because while i'm curious it'll also provide, like, SO MUCH context for how you feel about your career and identity of being a Person who Works on the Internet.
hi @hotvintagepoll I've made a letterboxd list with all the actors from this tournament if anyone would like an easy enough way to see all the guys and the movies they've been in <3
I’m not sure what’s more entertaining, Etho sharing a photo his setup after being ranked as the weirdest play style, or Mumbo adding more and more safety cables to his fingers in an attempt to play Minecraft normally. Which makes him feel unwell in the process
