This Week’s Horrible-Scopes

It’s time for this week’s Horrible-Scopes! So for those of you that know your Astrological Signs, cool! If not, just pick one, roll a D12, or just make it up as you go along. It really doesn’t matter.

It was suggested that I could just ignore The Stars and write a set of Horrible-Scopes based on anything I wanted. So, since it’s my birth-week as I write this, I’ve taken that suggestion to heart.

Aries

Rams live very social lives, but tend to be overall defenseless creatures, relying on their flock for protection from predators! So this week enjoy the time you have with those in your close circles since they have your back.

Taurus

Quick fact for you Bulls - until not too very long ago there were Spanish Bullfighting Rings in some southern Japanese Islands! Keep this in mind as you consider planning your next holiday. Stick to the main island and you’ll be fine.

Gemini

As Twins, you keep getting into trouble and blaming someone else. So this week you need to listen to “The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000” song as punishment. Once you hear the line, “Traveling salesponies nonpareil!” you’ll realize you never paid enough attention in French class. Imagine how disappointed in you your teacher would be today. (TSK! TSK! TSK!)

Cancer Moon-Child

You asked to have a Horrible-Scope specifically tuned to your personality and species, in this case a Crab? Since you asked, how about we answer your question with a question: Why Not Zoidberg? (*Pause*) If you don’t get it, ask someone younger than you what it means, Gramps.

Leo

Lions have this interesting habit of sleeping a lot! Like twenty hours a day. The fact that you want to take after them is admirable, if weird. Just remember something - do not nuzzle the neck-floof of an African Lion. If you do, plan on being a gracious guest and accept their invitation to stay for dinner… you really won’t have much of a choice.

Virgo

The sign of The Maiden, you tend to be the nurturing type. Helping others in a bind, being creative in unusual ways, having encyclopedic knowledge in esoteric areas of trivia, and willing to forgive others who have wronged you. All the traits of one “Suri Polomare”. What’s that? You don’t know who that is? Huh! Guess all that trivia knowledge was just good guessing then, huh?

Since we can’t anthropomorphize a literal balance scale, we’re just going to do the next best thing and relocate you to a new planet in a new constellation. So this week you will find yourself… in the constellation of Kasterborous. And you may ask yourself… "How do I work this?" And you may ask yourself… "Where is that large automobile?" And you may tell yourself… "This is not my beautiful house" And you may tell yourself… "This is not my beautiful wife"! Good luck finding your way home!

Scorpio

Scorpions are closely related to spiders, and aren’t only found in the desert. Nope! They also live in Brazilian forests, British Columbia, North Carolina, and even the Himalayas. So this week stop being amazed at where you find yourself and who your family is. It all just “IS”.

Sagittarius

Your animal is the Centaur-Archer, but most don't realize how hard it is to draw a long bow, aim, and hit a target the size of a small pumpkin at a full gallop! At least WE appreciate you. At least until we're out of range or you're out of arrows. This week avoid D4s at all costs!

Capricorn

Do you know how many famous “Sea Goats” there are? “Damned Few!” This week you get to learn about “Shanty” the Pirate Goat from the beat-em-up game, “Them’s Fightin’ Herds!” from Mane6. Just like you, she’s a special fan-asked for DLC addition to the universe. Unlike you she has orange eyes with horizontal pupils. This week, order a set of vanity contacts with an orange iris and horizontal pupils.

Aquarius

For the sign of the Water Bearer we’re pairing you up with “Steven Magnet”! Yes… THE Steven Magnet. What did you expect, a bugbear? You’re supportive of your long-time bestie, but not above hitting on people at a wedding. You’re lucky you’re adorable. This week be careful - your luck’s about to run out.

Pisces

For your birthday we are being self-indulgent. Instead of The Fish you are now Nightmare Moon. Your domain is the Night, your life works backwards from most others, and you are overshadowed by others who should consider you an equal. This week take what is rightfully yours by any means necessary! But plan for failure, anticipate it, and set events in place to make sure you can only fail successfully! OH.. and… don’t buy an ice cream cake. That many candles will just melt it before the last one is lit.

One of my watchers on DeviantArt asked me on my Thirdverse Q&A, “Out of the mane six and their partners, who are the best, middle of the road and worst parents?”

Nobody in the Thirdverse is necessarily a BAD mom, they’re all just ponies who make mistakes that sometimes affect their parenting. So I thought this was an incredibly interesting question and I thought I’d post the answer here as well!

From best to worst, I’d rank the Mane 6 as follows:

- Pinkie Pie: She’s really good at being the light for her family and not imposing her personal problems on her kids. Luna and Tempest are also very private with their feelings, though their general attitudes and reputations do affect the family a bit (out of their control)

- Fluttershy: Also very private with her feelings, but sometimes she inadvertently imposes her own insecurities on her kids by being more critical than she should. Quibble and Pharynx also have high standards of their own but in different ways. None of them are bad parents though

- Rarity: She’s so much better to Diamond Tiara than her real mom is, she’s kind to her but with the lifestyle she leads she isn’t a MOM mom if that makes sense. Filthy is his usual, kind but sometimes a clueless rich guy

- Twilight Sparkle: She has high expectations for her kids, encouraging them both to pursue great careers and go above and beyond in their studies. AP classes, multiple majors, the whole deal. Not that they aren’t very ambitious on their own, and Twilight doesn’t love them any less when they falter. But the pressure that she’s under, especially after what she’s done, kind of gets imposed on them a bit. Sunburst has more time to be with his kids outside of work and is more empathetic to the stress, with his magical disability and all

- Applejack: She practically raised Apple Bloom in some ways so she’d be the same way as a mom, dependable and protective (sometimes overly so like with AB). Sugar Belle is very perceptive as a mom, she learns what they like and engages in their interests. I put AJ here though because whatever she has going on has the potential to weaken some of the trust they have as a family

- Dash: She’s made some pretty serious mistakes that make her feel like a shitty mom, and with her egotistical nature she can sometimes take that insecurity out on the kids or their dads (by being rude, not abusing them). She’s not really great at handling their complicated feelings when she’s just trying to keep them fed. The baby daddies are Awful (Svengallop), Good Guy (Double Diamond), Distant (Hoo’Far), Absent (Short Fuse), and Love of Her Life (Big Mac)

Luna is best princess who else could design a castle with creatures she can’t actually understand as a young princess and then later settle disputes between a family of (pony eating) manticores and a (pony eating) chimera while they are especially angry because it’s starting to get cold? And then end that with all of them eating in the middle of the night together? Literally all of these creatures respect Luna so much they stop arguing when she gets there. I don’t see Celestia putting that much effort into her work.

Yandere! Platonic! Princess Luna + Celestia with Reformed! Darling

Pairing: Platonic

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective behavior, Slight stalking, Manipulation, Forced companionship.

I feel this has endless possibilities when it comes to darling.

You could be a tyrannical Alicorn... a possessive dragon... really anything.

You no doubt caused terror and fought the ponies of Equestria one point in time.

But like most villains... you were bested by the Mane Six.

Through them you began to learn more about the value of friendship and alliances based on close bonds.

Eventually with Twilight you go to meet Celestia and Luna.

In your past you may have fought the two princesses.

To complete your reformation you meet with them again beside the Princess of Friendship.

The encounter is awkward at first but eventually it gets better.

In fact... both princesses seem to welcome you with warm greetings.

But something doesn't quite seem right.

For the sake of this concept I'm going to say you used to be a tyrannical ruler (either an alicorn or unicorn) who ruled your kingdom with an iron hoof.

The two princesses knew about you from when you fought long before.

But as they watch you begin to treat your subjects better and with more respect... the two respect you more.

They even grow closer when you talk to them, admitting to them that you were blinded by your rage, greed, and the need to protect your ponies.

To them you are no longer their enemy and bow your head to them.

I feel there's two ways their obsession could go two directions while platonic.

If you were also an alicorn they may see you more like a long lost sibling that they must correct.

After all, Luna is technically a reformed antagonist too.

If you're a unicorn they are more likely to see you like some sort of student that can correct like Sunset Shimmer.

Either way the two princesses definitely try to help you during your reformation.

They are present when you address your subjects at times to get them used to you again.

You often meet with the princesses to take lessons and strengthen your bond with them.

As a result they begin to grow attached once you are reformed.

Now you are a much better leader completely purified from all your negative emotions and thoughts.

You no longer see them as enemies... but allies.

Naturally as most platonic yandere go the two keep an eye on you and are protective of you.

The two are playful with you at times and you're surprised that they see you as a friend.

Celestia has always been forgiving, however.

Luna trusts her judgement.

Most of your time ends up with them and Twilight.

Although it starts transitioning to just them at some point.

The two try to be subtle with their obsession but they are definitely manipulating you the longer you're around them.

They make you feel like they are the only ones who can redeem you.

Soon... maybe you shouldn't even rule over your subjects.

A replacement can be found...

You should just stay with them...

After all... they think you're not reformed fully quite yet.

Excuse me, but can you please explain to me why the monarchy is so bad? I'm from the Dragon Lands, and we choose our leaders by sending them on a dangerous quest to retrieve a scepter from an active volcano. Headcanons but I recently just watched My Little Pony

Mephistopheles a THOUSAND percent watches this show. His brother was like "hey! Look! It's the horses from the stables", and Mephisto has been hooked ever since. It's his secret shame.

Star Swirl and Twilight are like Solomon and MC. Like old mentor guy, is powerful, and thinks the power of friendship is Bs. And then young apprentice, who's going to surpass mentor sooner or later.

Not related to obey me at ALL but I had to get it out there, during the time Celestia had banished Luna, when he rose/set the moon, she always "talked" to Luna. Saying stuff like, "See you tonight" or "You make the prettiest moonrises, sister."

Back on Obey Me, if Diavolo ever met Princess Celestia, they'd be so chill, just talking about their kingdoms and the different ways they govern. Also about crippling loneliness and how it's hard to be a ruler and the sacrifices that come with it. Both of them are so excitable and on an off day, they would take each other ziplining and the barrel waterfall thing. (Barbatos and Luna cringe at this behavior, for different reasons, as they get excited over mailing letters)

Asmo and Rarity would get along so well. Both of them being generous and, even though a bit dramatic, still meaning well. Both of them having that energy of, "if you don't shine on the inside, then you can't shine on the outside, darling!"

Twilight and MC would bond over being tossed into a new stage in their life so well. Like, "She just kind of.. made me an alicorn.. I didn't even know what happened" "Same! But I was tossed into a world of demons and after a bit realized I was possibly one of the most powerful people in the three realms so.." (*Looks over at Celestia and Diavolo*)

Mammon and Rainbow Dash would hold races to see who's faster (Though, mammon is upset he can't sonic rain boom)

Beel and AppleJack would totally get along, they're both strong and dedicate themselves to family. If Beel ever went applebucking, he'd do his best to not eat all the apples. AppleJack gets a little upset about it but doesn't hold it against him too much.

The angels and Fluttershy would all go to her cottage and have a nice conversation. She'd show them her animal sanctuary and Luke would go nuts. Simeon would also be interested in her ability to talk to animals. Raphael would just be happy about the silence at the cottage.

Satan, Solomon and Twilight are all nerds. Starlight showed Solomon the speed spell she used to organize her books and Solomon has been trying to learn. Twilight and Satan prefer to organize their books the non magic way though (That's why Satan's room is a mess), it's more personal to them.

Luke and Pinkie having a bake off with Raindow Dash and Mammon being the judges. (Poor Luke made a pie and learned the hard way RD doesn't like pies, poor baby)
