god FUCKING damn it i accidentally closed my game without saving i'm going to fucking kill myself

Ooh I'd like to request a pet-like/platonic overprotective Absol from Pokémon, headcanons or a short where darling is trying to reassure them that there isn't going to be a disaster if Absol just *lets darling leave their home* (or somewhere else Absol has brought them to that Absol deems "safe", or maybe Absol makes them move around a lot and darling just wants to go home and live their life? Maybe Absol is like a rescue Pokémon and something happened to its previous trainer, darling adopted them not knowing what they were getting into maybe)? Absol is the disaster watch Pokémon or some such so having one that dedicated to protect darling would make sense imo

You originally met Absol at a Daycare center. According to the woman behind the desk, Absol was a rescue due to an accident happening to their original trainer. Supposedly their original trainer died... leaving the rescued Absol to try and recover in the Daycare.
When you were set to get to know the Absol, they seemed normal at first. It felt like the right thing to give the Absol another life. After all... rescuing a Pokemon can't be too bad.
You're proven wrong within at least a week.
Attachment issues become known in your Absol quickly. Thoughts of losing their previous trainer drives the poor Pokemon into a fit of frenzy. Originally your comforting and training made your Absol calm down.
Although, as the days continue on, your Absol only seems to get worse in their anxiety. Soon you can't quell your beloved Pokemon's worries. Even when by your side, strolling outside in parks, they show hesitance and irritation towards other trainers and Pokemon.
Something is wrong and you're struggling to find a fix.
Before things hit their peak, you come up with ways to ease your rescue. You take them to therapy sessions, you give them lots of treats and affection, you do your best to calm them when others are around. You think there's progress... that you can fix your Pokemon.
Until you tried to leave the house this morning.
Your Absol, white fur frazzled, lets out a cry of defiance as they stand in front of your door. You try to get past them, the Pokemon refusing vehemently. You notice their Pokeball broken on the ground when you wake up, that and a dark substance coating their claws.
Is that really... blood?
What in the name of Arceus happened?
You keep your distance, the Absol's eyes staring you down with disturbing determination. You get on your knees in an attempt to dissuade the Pokemon. They merely sit in front of your door.
"Absol..." You whisper, trying to be comforting despite your fear. "Why are you so upset? There's nothing wrong... nothing will go wrong...! You're not going to lose me."
The Pokemon glares for a moment, grimacing at the thought before turning their head away. They weren't planning on letting you just leave it seems. You sigh, unable to recall the Pokemon.
"Why do your claws have blood on them?" You ask, not really expecting the Pokemon to answer. Your Absol merely stares at you as if they're innocent, tilting their head. You fear the idea of them being hurt... but you dread the idea of someone else being hurt by them more.
"I can't stay in my house forever." You whisper, your Absol looking unamused as they make a small cry again. "Absol, you have to let me out at some point...!"
Your Absol doesn't budge, forcing you to relent as you currently have no control over the Absol.
Picking a rescue really was a mistake.
"Absol, dear..." You whisper towards the Pokemon, pulling a treat from your pocket. Their red eyes widen for a moment before narrowing again. "If I stay in the house today... will you calm down?"
You Absol stares, seeming to consider your decision for a moment. Their nose twitches but they maintain your ground. You begin to worry... but try to sweeten the deal a bit to regain your freedom.
Even if it requires a bit of lying.
"I'll stay home an entire week, okay?" You offer again, your Absol perking up again at your words. "But we need to get you a new Pokeball soon."
Your Absol seems to hesitate for just a moment. Eventually, however, they relent and back you into your bedroom. They don't let you leave behind them as they force you onto your bed. It's then they jump on top of the sheets, laying in your lap as they take the treat from your hand.
You sigh... happy to have disarmed the situation for now.
Although you begin to worry about the wellbeing of not only your Pokemon, but you along with those around you.
Perhaps they were in that Daycare for a good reason after all.

Do you have any Pokémon at the shelter who are only there because they're just too stupid to survive in the wild?
I ask because my Meganium is like that. As a Chikorita, she was part of a rewilding program by the johtonian Rangers to rebuild wild Starter populations, but every time they tried to release her, she would have trouble finding food and preventing other Pokémon from stealing her food, all because she just has trouble focusing and is generally a bit of an airhead. When i found her, she was lying on the ground, beaten up, and so i took her to a Pokémon Center. While i was there, i met a Ranger who told me all about her and said "Yeah, this is the last straw, she's unreleasable.", then let me keep her at my request.
sometimes wild pokemon are declared unreleasable, yes. this is usually because of health complications, but every once in a while a wild pokemon that keeps getting brought back in will be taken permanently into captivity. i actually was in charge of the rehabilitation of one such pokemon- a talonflame who, shortly after her release, was brought back in. she now lives at the aviary i volunteer at!
unfortunately, this is why starter reintroduction programs tend to fail. we've generally bred starter pokemon to be too reliant on us to do well in the wild; when they are introduced, we can't really guarantee that the environment we're releasing them into is appropriate. we just don't know enough about what their lives look like in the wild. it doesn't surprise me that your meganium struggled to defend herself, since starter pokemon have long been bred for docility.
blueberry academy has seen some small measure of success in keeping "wild" starters, but their terarium is an artificial environment. they just don't do very well in the wild.

Hello, and welcome to the Video Game Dog Bracket!
Do you like dogs? Do you like video games? Do you like dogs from video games? If yes, then this is the tournament for you!
I’ve been wanting to host my own bracket for a while now - ever since I submitted a character to one of them a few months back, swore to myself I wouldn’t get invested in the results, but then ended up doing just that. Thanks a ton to @artificialkids-2k23-official, without whom this bracket wouldn’t exist!
The rules for submission are fairly straightforward, but I’ll list them here anyway. (Updated 6/3/23)
An obvious one, but all characters submitted must be dogs, wolves, or mythical creatures that are canine in nature (i.e. Cerberus or a dog-like Pokémon). Foxes are on thin ice.
Anthropomorphic dogs are okay. However, please don't send in anime boys with dog ears or whatever. I think that's pushing the definition of "dog" a little too much.
Characters must have originated from a video game or visual novel. If they appear in a game, but it’s an adaptation of a movie, for example, they won’t be counted. No, Homestuck doesn't count as a video game.
Named characters are preferred and will be given priority. I’m not saying that you can’t submit Granbull or every Nintendog, but in the case that there are more submissions than bracket spaces, they probably won’t make it in.
Please only submit one character at a time. The form is open to multiple responses per person, so you can submit as many characters as you like. (Just be reasonable with it and don’t send the same one over and over again?)
Also, while sending several characters from the same source material is appreciated, they aren't all going to make it into the bracket. I'm looking for a varied and diverse lineup, and want to limit it to about three characters per source. This isn't a hard and fast rule, but just...don't get upset if all twenty characters from the same thing don't get accepted, okay?
Currently, the plan is for submissions to close on June 9th, but this may be subject to change based on the amount of traction this bracket gets. As of right now, submissions are planned to close on June 5th instead!

Random Streamer Ash thoughts.
The entire Charmander situation was streamed. Hell, even the down time in the Pokémon Center because might as well do a chill stream. Or, at least that was the intention before everyone learned that not did Charmander's trainer abandon him, but doesn't even care that if Charmander is still following his orders, he could DIE due to the rain. Anyways the rescue happens and the only reason Ash didn't end his stream during it and the time waiting in the reception room is because he knew his chat would kill him if they didn't learn if Charmander was fine as soon as he did.
By the time Sinnoh is over and done with chat just wants Ash to take a vacation because seriously WTF WAS EVEN HAPPENING IN SINNOH THEY SAW IT THROUGH A STREAM AND THEIR STILL CONFUSED-
Also there's a new appreciation for the Darkrai species after the events of The Rise of Darkrai. Same with Giratina. Dialga, Palkia, Shaymin and Arceus are on thin ice though. Albeit Arceus is a lesser extent because of the near death trauma.
Oh yeah Damien ends up in some Real Deep Shit, specifically Real Deep Legal Shit because there is no way that wouldn't count as criminal negligence at best and his confession and the resulting consequences for Charmander were all broadcast live. Not stopping the stream was half Ash being too focused on Charmander to even notice it was still running, half the rest of the group making damn sure they had the Receipts on Damien.
Thankfully for everyone's sanity there does seem to be some kind of gap between Sinnoh and Unova in canon as far as I can tell, and even with Immediate Zekrom it's at least more chill by comparison.
...And Then Suddenly Kalos (:
Yeah, a lot of the typical Pariah Pokemon (particularly the more "evil" legendaries but also 'mons like Absol or Venipede) get seen in a new light thanks to Ash. And the legendaries that actively cause problems or are just assholes definitely end up on a few shitlists. Though some of the Sinnoh ones are a bit complicated in regards to actually showing up in the streams at all because he can't exactly get an internet connection in the distant past or a collapsing space-time distortion bubble, plus the fact that nobody in the repaired timeline where Arceus didn't Start Shit remembers the Arceus Starts Shit timeline. The wifi does somehow work in the Distortion World though.
Also in defense of Shaymin as a whole it's just that one Shaymin that's a prick. Every other Shaymin both in the series and in that specific movie are perfectly pleasant and actually fit their title as The Gratitude Pokemon from what I remember.

i don't expect her to win because gen 7 pokemon is a very niche fandom, but i had to submit her because her entire story centers around the relationship between mother and child, from both sides. first, she lives as part of a normal happy family with her mother lusamine, her father mohn, and her brother gladion. then her dad gets sucked through an interdimensional portal and her mother starts becoming more unhinged and abusive in the aftermath of that event. her brother runs away from home with a similarly abused experimental pokemon in tow, and things get even worse at home. Eventually, lillie builds up the courage to steal another mistreated pokemon (a little baby nebula thing from outer space she nicknames nebby) and run away herself. during the events of the game, lillie acts like a mother to nebby in a way that specifically contrasts her from most major pokemon characters, since she doesn't participate in pokemon battles for fear of pokemon getting hurt and doesn't even keep nebby in a poke ball, instead opting to use her bag to carry it. over the course of the game, she and nebby bond with the protagonist which culminates in nebby evolving into either solgaleo or lunala depending on the version during the climax of the story and lillie deciding to leave it in the care of the protagonist, since it's all grown up now and she doesn't think it would be as happy without being able to participate in battles.

Definitely jealousy/possessiveness 👀 Especially in Bojere. I'm actually planning on doing a chapter centered around jealous Bojan in my deaf! Jere fic sometime soon🤭 There's just a lot of fun with that concept. Crossdressing is also an enjoyable trope to me ^_^!

There's a mod that has your spouse have a reaction to you fainting in either the mines or skull cavern. I think it'd be cool if this mod had the twins react as well since it's known Emmet's not happy with us going down there and Ingo doesn't like the idea of us being in danger, what would some of their dialogue be? I imagine they'd both get onto us about our safety checks but how would their dialogue differ between them?
I've actually been meaning to have them react to the player's deaths for a while, but never got around to implementing it until this ask! Thank you for the reminder! For now, here's both of their reactions to the player getting killed in the mines.

If you're wondering about the bombs, I had to keep killing myself because Linus kept saving me instead.
I was thinking that they would have potions (er... Life Elixirs) on hand for their Pokémon since there's no proper Pokémon centers around to assist them. So if you're lucky enough to have your life saved by them, they have you covered!
I do intend to make hospital death events for them later (and have them bicker with Harvey...). Until I finish them though, I hope this suffices!

Giratina! Larry AU Evidence
I’m going to do it, I really have gone insane haha. After my Missingno! Larry post, I thought it would be funny to do a Giratina! Larry post also giving evidence. This is all just for fun please don’t take me seriously
Larry has exactly six strands of flyaway grey hairs. Giratina has a reoccurring motif of six: six red spikes on the wings, six legs, six wings in its Origin form, and six gold spikes on its chest. Perhaps no matter what form Giratina takes, six is a constant motif?
Larry has three noticeable clouds on his tie (he has more, but y’know). Three is a pretty important number in Diamond and Pearl for the Creation Trio and the Lake Trio. Continuing this theme is the fact that Larry has three jobs.
Giratina observes from the Distortion World (it silently gazes upon the old world), and Larry is known as the The Exceptional Everyman. The everyman character is meant to connect with the audience for how normal he is. Part of what distinguishes the Everyman from or hero or villain is that he observes and avoids engaging in situations unless he is forced to. Larry has a very passive role, keeping an eye on everything. (I hold onto the theory that Larry is in Medali to watch over Area Zero)
Larry’s facade doesn’t make much sense. I made a post about his Facade in case you want more in depth explanation, but it’s never made clear what his “facade” really is. He doesn’t hide his emotions or his position as an Elite Four member, so maybe his entire being as a person is his facade.
His title can be very deceptive as the “Exceptional” Everyman. Exceptional can mean “outstanding,” but also “unusual” and “abnormal.”
I love the reoccurring joke about Larry’s mysteriousness, but really, his identity as a gym leader and an Elite Four member is purposefully kept in the dark. Even in the art book, there's a question mark instead of a photo of him in the Elite Four section, and he keeps his back turned whenever there are photos of him.
Giratina is on the cover for Pokémon Platinum, Larry has platinum eyes. Plus, with all the focus on the Diamond and Pearl games lately (remake, Legends Arceus), this lines up
Larry is unique for several reasons, such as being the only character to be both a gym leader and Elite Four member, only gym leader to battle inside, terastallize more than one Pokemon, and only character to have square-shaped eyes. Giratina is unique in the Creation Trio for having its own battle music, different stats, even different box art. Giratina is also the tallest Generation IV pokemon, and Larry is one of the tallest characters in SV.
Regular Giratina’s color scheme features red and gold, quite an opposite to Larry. However, Shiny Giratina’s color scheme is blue and silver. Am I trying to imply that Larry is a shiny Giratina? Yes.
Giratina represents Antimatter. I always thought this was a unique choice to complete the Space and Time duo. Pokémon depicts it as an opposite force through the Distortion World. Larry stands out A LOT because of how normal he is compared to literally every other character in Pokemon. Giratina sees reality different than the normal Pokemon world, where "common knowledge is distorted and strange." Perhaps he designed his appearance off of what was normal to him? I’ve seen people say that Larry looks like he doesn't even belong in the world of Pokémon. He’s normal to us, as the players, which in theory makes him not normal to the Pokémon universe. Additionally, Larry is the only character in Scarlet and Violet, and I think even in the whole Pokemon universe, to have square-shaped eyes.
The Summoning of the Everyman is a 15th-century morality play where the English word “Everyman” was first used and defined. A morality play often features personified concepts, angels, and demons. These characters often try to convince the generic everyman towards either good or evil, so morality plays center around temptation, the fall, and redemption of the Everyman. It’s a very religious story, but I won’t go too deep in those aspects. There are certainly some religious influences in the concept of Arceus and Giratina, as Giratinia is literally the Renegade Pokemon (although Giratina is not a representation of death, underworld, or the devil). Oddly coincidental connection to the play??
The conclusion? I’ve become insane, but Giratina! Larry suffers from a similar situation to Missingno!Larry where he tries way too hard to be human. Shiny Girantina is drinking his coffee while desperately trying to hold on to a resemblance of sanity, and trying to make it through the work day.

Think it's time for me to have some introduction post! So, hi! I'm Sprinklenoodles on both Tumblr and AO3! I write danganronpa THH fanfics, with a large focus on Byakuya- and Chihiro- but everybody does appear.
My fics:
The Ultimate Mystery Incorporated- (Ongoing) It follows Byakuya, Sayaka, Leon, Kyoko and Hiro as they solve mysteries around town. But something much bigger is lurking in the shadows...
This also has a side fic, Five Kids, One Team which is the backstories of the main five.
Official description:
Crystal Cove: The Most Hauntedest Place on Earth. It's a place where many mysteries take form, including the ones Byakuya, Kyoko, Sayaka, Leon and Hiro have to solve. Though, those tend to be fake. There are never any real monsters.
But something much bigger is lurking in the background, something much bigger than any of them could imagine. And soon enough, they will have to find out what that is. They'll have to figure out why it's after them specifically.
And they have to make sure not to die while trying.
A Heir's Journey- (Ongoing) It follows Byakuya on his journey to complete the Gym Challenge. He meets Chihiro and Sayaka here.
Official description:
Byakuya lives in the Kalos region, and it's finally time for him to start the Gym Challenge. He'll do this together with his partner pokémon Larvesta, and the rest of the pokémon he'll catch.
Along the way he meets Chihiro- someone awfully familiar, yet he can't place how- and Sayaka, who wants to be a pokémon performer in the hopes of becoming Kalos Queen. He'll also come across somebody he never wanted to see again.
What they don't know, however, is that something much bigger is at play. And Byakuya's biggest concern will not just be defeating the gyms anymore...
A Legacy Will Be Crowned- (Ongoing) Byakuya's backstory rewritten. To become heir, he needs to complete a series of challenges. Also has short chapters after every challenge from his dad's POV about how the competition is going.

That Really Wasn't Supposed To Happen- (Completed) Chihiro doesn't die this time in the killing game. Instead he gets distracted and ends up revealing his secret to Byakuya. This changes the whole killing game.

I've been asked to talk more about my "Bruce Wayne has OSDD-1B" post, so I will be doing just that!! I will elaborate on further details about each headmate in the future. Feel free to see my last post on this if you have not already.
So far I've noticed that there are at least five headmates. Batman, B, Brucie, Bruce Wayne, and Mr Wayne.
Batman started forming the night his parents were shot, and his memory also starts there. He cannot remember his childhood pre-ten. He's a protector of sorts, but he also holds the rage. He's the most intelligent of the bunch, what with being the "World's Greatest Detective" and all. He is slow to trust people, but he believes that there is good in everyone. That is why he does not kill. Though that wasn't originally the case, he saw the worst in everyone for a decade or so, his viewpoint changed when he took in Nightwing. Every part of him has patrolled as Batman, the cowl belonging to them all partially because of his obliviousness towards his disorder, but he is the one made to be Batman.
B is the father. He formed for the singular purpose of being a parent. None of the others were prepared for such a task. He has great care for his children, despite failing in places due to the awful example his own father set. He would kill for any one of them. He was the one that endeavoured to kill The Joker when Red Hood was murdered. He doesn't take kindly to anyone he loves being harmed.
Brucie is the playboy. Everyone knows that. He doesn't take much seriously, he flirts with everyone (of appropriate age) that he meets, he does drugs, and he's an alcoholic. But he's the one that's been around the "longest". He remembers his entire childhood. He deals with his grief and trauma with hypersexuality and substance abuse. He's the least honest of the bunch and absolutely hates people seeing him as sad or weak. But he commonly accompanies Batman on patrols. He's good with words and good with people, able to manipulate and redirect effortlessly. He's the one that goes on out-of-costume intel missions. He's the one fucking all his rogues! He has the lowest iq of the bunch, but he's still considered a genius by his score.
Bruce Wayne is the child. The child that "died in the alleyway with his parents". In systems, these are commonly called littles. They're used to cope with high stress situations, but he is never usually left alone. If left alone he's quiet, flinches at loud noises, distrusts adults, and will be willing to beat the shit out of anyone that disrespects his father's name. If you do manage to get him to trust you, he will talk about things that he liked in childhood. Pokémon, Sonic Underground, classical literature, etc. He was born in the 90s in my AU, similar to the newest movie. I will roughly outline my timeline in another post.
Mr Wayne is the business man. He does not respond to Bruce, as he both sees himself as above others and ISN'T Bruce. He's the only introject, and he's an introject of Thomas Wayne. He isn't mean or entirely self centered. He makes sure the employees of his company and all of the companies he owns are treated well. He pays for employees' family's education, rent, food, whatever they need. He has a LOT of money and he knows that as long as he keeps his businessess going and his employees happy, he won't ever go bankrupt. He uses that to help whoever he can, he donates large sums to charities, etc. He's commonly around at the same time Brucie is. He isn't allowed to be around at the same time Bruce Wayne (the little/child) is, though, due to the fact that their real father was abusive. He'd scare the kid.

TODAY, HIS TEAM IS WAY STRONGER THAN MINE, SO THEY'RE KIND OF MENTORS TO MY POKEMON... BUT HE'S HELPING ME BE MY OWN TRAINER WITHOUT USING RENTAL POKEMON, SO ITS FUN.
ALL HIS POKEMON HAVE VERY DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES SO ITS HARD TO ELABORATE, BUT HIS TOGEKISS IS THE SWEETEST ONE, AND MY CLAYDOL IS ... ERRMMM... ALWAYS LEVITATING SILENTLY AND DOESN'T REACT TO ANYTHING
💫 When the battles are done for the day, how do you guys relax?
IF WE'RE NEAR SOMEWHERE WE HAVEN'T BEEN, WE'LL TRY SOMETHING NEW. BECAUSE THAT'S JUST HOW WE ARE.. WE LIKE TO LEARN NEW THINGS TOGETHER. LIKE WHAT PLACES HAVE GOOD FOOD :-P

PokéOmens! Gym Leader 2: Anthony J. Crowley
I don't know why it took so long to post him, but here he is! In the flesh! Your Grass gymleader! I'm so sorry to the 79.5% who guessed the other likely choices. A good chunk of you are probably wondering, "Why isn't he a dark type gymleader? Isn't he the dark duke?" or "He's literally fireproof! He makes the stars, which are burning gasses of light! Why no fire?!"
Well, let's talk about him!
Back in 2019 (yes, 2019), I wanted to do PokeOmens, but instead of the GO cast being Gym Leaders, they were all Pokémon. Aziraphale was a Rowlett and Crowley was (originally) a Litten...that was until I saw a post from @speremint on her Instagram. She made Pokémon teams for both and gave Crowley a Snivy (if anyone knows what picture I'm talking about, hats off to you). From that day forward, I couldn't see him with a fire type team. Sure, he made the stars back in the day, but that was his past, not his present. He's resistant to fire, but he's scared that'll take away the things he loves. He is the dark duke, but that's a title, not him.
Mr. Crowley isn't just a gymleader. His gym works as a Grass Pokémon sanctuary for nurturing and training stray Pokémon, but he says that he does to rid fluctuating stray population in the region. The only downside is that some people don't have a keen eye and just give him anything that's green. A couple of those mishaps actually went to his partner roommate. His outfit (a mixture between Crowley's pub attire in the second episode of Season 2 and Cassius from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet) was created by his lovely friend who thought maroon would be a lovely accent color. "It's a bit purplish, right?" No, Azira. It is not.
Meet Anthony's adopted Care Team! (Created by my partner in crime)
Centi the Minior - Wait...that's not a grass type. Well, Anthony doesn't care. He's had Centi for as long as he can remember, and if other gym leaders have a problem with that, they can shove it. Besides, who else is going to nap with him when the grass Pokémon are sunbathing?
Duke the Serperior - He was Crowley's first grass type experience. Through trial and many errors, Anthony made him into a lightning quick attacker...and a bit of a spoiled brat. If Duke wasn't at the center of his trainer's attention or if another Pokémon were to invade his space by a hair, he would throw a hissy fit. Thank goodness he has Duchess to calm him down.
Duchess the Liligant - After spoiling Duke, Crowley felt it would be affective if he went in harsher direction for the next Pokémon. Thankfully, it didn't last after the first day. Poor thing was scared out of her wits. To make up for it, her trainer apologized with a little dance. She didn't know what it meant, but it did make her like him. In fact, she uses it to cheer up the sanctuary occupants, especially Duke.
Spike the Cacturne - The third time's a charm, right? Yes...and no. You see, Spike was trained properly compared to the other grass Pokémon and is quite great when battling, but Crowley never helped with her temperament. She's a fighter, not a lover. Honestly, she's barely even a tolerator. It's a good thing she only deals with training others and not caring. That's Stripe's job.
Stripe the Lurantis - He is the most caring and efficient when it comes to assisting Anthony with the nurture the sick, young and injured Pokémon. Stripe is practically harmless, and as much as his trainer dislikes that, his pacifism always wins people over.
Prickles the Maractus - While walking to his gym, Crowley spotted a box at the door. It read, "KEEP HIM PLEASE!" And he did. It's not his fault he pricks others and has a curious mind. He just needs someone who can teach him to be careful...if only it wasn't the spiky, scary one. Eh, he'll be fine.

SPOILERS:
Sara and Skiddo's backstory:
This is basically the backstory of Sara being bullied, but a wild Skiddo befriended her and kept her company. The whole incident with the bullies happen, but no fire and none of them die except Skiddo uses Razor Leaf and scares them off. Skiddo ends up giving Sara a ride back to her home and she ends up caring for it.
Since her bullies are alive and she has a Pokémon, they end up asking for battles and Sara doesn't know how to. Skiddo shows off her skills (yes, Skiddo is a girl) and the bullies stop picking on Sara because DAMN this girl is tough! Soon the two become friends and partners. When Sara gets enrolled to being a researcher, she leaves Skiddo behind to help Celio out.
However, this was a mistake as Sara and Skiddo miss each other. Celio decides to send Skiddo over, and...that's all because that's in Chapter 5.
Wiatt and Oddity's backstory:
Wiatt met Oddity a year prior to the series. Oddity was an Eevee who learned weird attacks like Shadow Ball and the attacks the Let's Go!Eevee learns. Oddity was shy and didn't want to be near humans, but Wiatt was curious about the Evolution Pokémon. At some point, Wiatt saw Oddity in a rough battle, and was able to help him escape and while he was hurt Oddity was injured pretty badly. He took him to the Pokemon Center and Oddity gave humans another chance.
Wiatt named him Oddity due to his weird move sets and how he can't evolve for whatever reason. The red scarf he wears was Wiatt's but gave it to him as a symbol of friendship.
Also random FUN FACT: Oddity does have a Pokeball, but prefers to be out of it.
