This is exactly how I managed to avoid spoilers while waiting from release date to my birthday in August when I could finally get the game to play it
Didn't know jack shit about the plot, but I DID know about strapping bombs to Koroks and the Gloom Hands from people meme-ing about them for months
While I'm not personally interested in it myself, I think the funniest thing about the new Zelda game is how I've seen zero spoilers for it because 25% of the fans are distracted by the new hot furry while the other 75% are too distracted breaking the Geneva convention.

Whoever designed this fishing spot is a sadist.
For context, this is the only spot in the game where Dratini spawns. Unless the spot is bubbling, it has a 1% chance to appear. When bubbling, it's 10%, but you can only fish in a bubbling spot once before having to leave and reenter the cave for it to respawn.
To get through this cave, there is a long passage that can only be accessed by Sharpedo smashing rocks. However, Sharpedo scares away pokemon in bubbling spots and makes them despawn. You also can't see this spot until you're already in the water.
So in other words, unless you manually switch to Lapras before entering the water, this bubbling spot will IMMEDIATELY disappear and you will have to go all the way back to the entrance and come back for it to respawn.
Gen 7 fishing mechanics are BULLSHIT.

I've been playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on and off for the past few months and it's led me to realise that the main reason why Guardians freak me out so much is that they subconsciously remind me of that giant robot from The Incredibles that literally gave me nightmares as a kid
The only difference being that one's killed multiple heroes, and the other has killed the same hero multiple times.

Pokemon headcanon that once Absol are studied and people realize they prevent disasters instead of causing them, particularly dangerous workplaces get themselves a workplace Absol and it also decreases accidents.
Construction sites and fishing ships and factories will have one that pretty much just lazes about until it just gets up howling one day and knocks a dude down. They almost never figure out what would have happened but they're always like "yes absol thank you absol I am so grateful to be on the floor right now. Can I offer you a treat in this trying time"

It's such a minor thing to complain about, but I find it genuinely frustrating that there is exactly ZERO ways of owning a nicknameable Alolan form in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee.
And it's baffling that such a simple thing has thrown up a road block in EVERY SINGLE WAY I've tried to obtain one.
The normal way of obtaining Alola Forms in LGPE is catch the Kanto form and trade it with an NPC. Because you can only get them from a trade in game, you can't nickname them.
How about transferring an Alolan Raichu for example from the other games on the Switch? You get free Alolan Forms in Sword and Shield. You get an Alolan Vulpix in Legends Arceus.
Nope, no backwards compatibility with Let's Go.
Okay….. How about from the original Gen 7 games? Put it in Bank, move it to Home, move it to Lets Go?
Noooooope. The second a Pokémon sets foot in Home, it's blocked from transferring to Lets Go.
Ok fine….. Get the Alolan Form from the NPC in Let's Go. Transfer it to Gen 8 or Gen 9 which lets you change the nickname of a traded Pokémon once, then trade it back to Let's Go via Home.
You get an error message telling you that once you put a Pokémon from Let's Go into another game, you can NEVER. EVER. bring it back to Let's Go.
What the fuck??????
No nickname is such a deal-breaker for me. I nickname all of my Pokémon. Using a Pokémon from an NPC that I can't nickname just makes me feel like it's not really part of the team, you know? There's a disconnect. It's so immersion breaking.
I would LOVE to use an Alolan Raichu on my team in Let's Go Eevee, but if I can't nickname it Pancake, there's just no point.
