Just finished watching @traineecryptid's sub of Overworking Man and *whew*, that was good. Strongly suggest it, especially for the Liu Chang aficionados.

Warning, spoilers below

I like the ending and if there's a tiny part of me that wanted Yang Keyi to go back to music, I have to admit his choice makes a lot of sense. He isn't sure of himself wherever he goes and jumping from one thing to another trying to be sure isn't going to work for him.

So headcanon is that while he still works for that company a combination of his changes and the company's means that he's no longer working himself to the bone to please what will never be pleased. And that, in turn gives him time to have his own life and play music with his beloved friends on weekends. Not to mention grow the confidence he needs to understand that he *is* indeed talented.

Also, sooner or later he and Wen Shiqing work out just what's going on between them. (He still doesn't want to be goosed on stage, however.)

The manga industry, especially JUMP, needs to hurry up and do away with weekly scheduling for mangaka. There needs to better regulations put into place for their health and safety because this is pitiful. Two weeks - monthly updates should’ve already been the standard for the manga industry at this point. These money grabbers will only continue to put the lives of these artists at stake for the sake of capitalism unless some serious changes are implemented.

Thinking about Peter's absolute cry of anguish after the final boss battle when he finds Harry unresponsive. Thinking about how all he can say is I'm sorry. Thinking about the fact that in Peter's head it was him at May's side sobbing I'm sorry. Thinking about how "with great power comes great responsibility" can never be separated from the guilt Peter feels. Thinking about how that guilt extends to May. How it extends to Ben. How it cripples Peter so much that he tells Miles that he can't do this again. Thinking about Peter's voice as he'd begged Harry to fight - pleaded with him to not make him do this. Thinking about how when consumed with the symbiote Peter had screeched out I'm the hero, I don't get saved! Thinking about how that's not just pride, how that's not just responsibility, how it's guilt. How it's always been Peter and the weight of the world, the life of his loved ones, and their blood on his hands. And now it's Harry's and Peter just breaks. Always the hero, he's done the right thing, but this time it's the last straw. His best friend. The last sacrifice Peter Parker can take...

...and it's then... that Miles saves him.

Why are all the Lucifer x reader fics about Lucifer being overworked and busy and that's the cause of his stress/tiredness? That man has not done a single royal duty in years. His office is cluttered with ducks and he's a scatter brained mess at least at the moment. I need more fics where the reader sees the state of his office and goes "oh... my god, he's really going through it". Where's the acknowledgement of his depression? I'm gonna write it myself if I have to damn it.

I was watching Overworking Man and I have a kind of stupid question. Wang-ge seems to spend a lot of time drinking directly from small teapot. I thought he was being a weirdo. Is this unusual behavior? I though you pour the tea into a cup (or share pitcher then cup), but then I saw a hanfu post today where the model seemed to be drinking from a teapot. I think I've characters in drama's pouring wine from from spouted wine decanters directly into their mouths. Are we supposed to infer something about that character from his tea drinking? Is it tea?

Glad to hear that you enjoyed it! I looked it up and well my findings are hmm strange? So in no particular order:

1. There are a specific type of teapot called 西施乳 (Beauty's Breast, beauty as in Xi Shi one of the top Pretty Lady of Ye Olde Days) and they are apparently? designed to be uh....cup-less so to speak...just teapot to mouth HOWEVER the only source i can find to this claim is a baidu zhidao (like yahoo answers) post

2. another person answering to the post mentioned another type of teapot called 紫砂壶 (Purple Sand Teapot) which confuses me,,,cuz as far as I know, this is a Material of teapot not a type? like glass vs ceramic vs metal kinda deal. but they did make a few points about the Behavior of drinking from the spout

3. FINALLY we're talking about The Behavior. So, I'm just paraphrasing here: 3.1 Depends on the person and the setting (the era? the time background?) of the story -from what i understand OP means that in like costume dramas it might look cool and show that a character is a rulebreaker/ not your typical nice guy BUT since we're in a modern society, the general impression people would get from this is "wow that weirdo/ thats so uncultured." 3.2 Depends on the teapot's appearance (and hygiene...stuff) (this argument is supported by quite a few other posts) -drinking from the spout might cause discolouration after using it for a long time due to the person's saliva and the porosity of certain types of teapots. so it's rather unsightly

SO, THE CONCLUSION

Is this unusual behavior? Answer: Nope. But it seems like this behavior is a rather Old Men Behavior...........so uh.......yeah Are we supposed to infer something about that character from his tea drinking? Answer: Given that the setting of Overworking Man is The Modern Times, I would infer that 1. Wang-ge is trying to look cool and cultured (by using a teapot instead of a regular mug) 2. failing at that (because...it's kinda weird in an office setting...like no one wants to see you uh sucking...on that...it's just Cringe Central Behavior) Also like combined with his general character design with the greasy hair and nosepicking...i don't think it's meant to invoke the same feeling as those people in the hanfu posts.

Is it tea? Answer: Probably? I don't know how common it is for people to put non-tea beverages into teapots (like how people put alchoholic stuff in non-alchoholic containers)...and since tea is already quite a common drink...i think it's unlikely that it's not-tea? But I dont think it's explicitly stated.

Yang Keyi doesn't t talk about his past. He tries not to think too hard about his years in the compound, trying to stay alive and not be blacklisted because he isn't good enough or fast enough. He got out and the less said about it the better.

Neither does he mention his peculiar elder twin brothers; the bitchy one with the special hearing or the snarky one who eats everything in sight. Nor does he talk about the crazy old man who's supposed to be their father. Sort of. (How is best left unexamined.)

He's gotten away from the lunacy of his family and while he doesn't mind seeing them once in a while, he much prefers to hang out with his own crazy best friend and perform.

It's hard work but it's fun and it's where he's happiest, on stage, singing his heart out...

And trying to keep said crazy best friend from goosing him in the ass again.

Thought I might put another Liu Chang character into the mix. Yang Keyi is actually the star of Overworking Man and boy does the title fit the premise. For the purposes of the Clone!Verse, YKY is the only survivor of a batch of incomplete clones. He didn't inherit much aside from the looks and those pretty long fingers, so he's best off staying a civilian.

(Sidenote: Pretty sure the crazy best friend and lead guitarist of his band is making passes at him. Suspect he knows it, too.)
