Okay, so to explain why this is absolutely hilarious: Victoria 3 is a Paradox Interactive grand strategy game vaguely similar to Crusader Kings but instead of medieval dynastic politics, the gameplay in Victoria is based on economic management. This is the third in the series for this franchise and just released recently.
And players are complaining because Capitalism can't compete with Communism.
Because it seems that under Capitalism, all the money goes to the Capitalists while the Workers don't get paid enough so have little buying power to stimulate the economy. Meanwhile in Communism, worker communes ensure that the workers are well-paid, giving them much more buying power which translates into a faster-growing economy and a much higher standard of living.
And rather than take the message, players are complaining that Communism is unrealistically overpowered.

Scuffed-ass COTL height chart where I don’t even tell you their heights, I just show you how tall they are relative to each other. If they share an arrow they are basically the same height. Most normal followers can be expected to reside in the general area of ‘above lamb but just below Kallamar’.
This is also the most useless chart ever because I didn’t even show what most of ‘em look like body-wise ghhhh it’s ONLY relative height. I should be thrown in prison

This is the first time I have ever reached out to someone in this community because I am very scared of being 'found out' and I find it hard to accept myself for what I like 😓 But your account feels very safe, and ur art is so gorgeous bsjsbdj!!!. I read ur tips from a while ago about how to start an account and I would rlly like to share my art out there and connect with likeminded people, and present all my ocs to the world that I have hidden in a folder on my procreate HELP. If this isn't too personal of a question, do u have an tips on self acceptance when it comes to this niche?

I completely understand the struggle with self-acceptance with this niche, so many spaces both in the internet and real life have stigmatized this kind of niche and made it out to be something disgusting and perverted, and something to be ashamed about..
I struggled for years with myself, feeling guilty for being into these sorts of things, and for "tainting" my characters with these thoughts, and the occasional drawing I would make in a notebook and promptly rip out and hide somewhere out of shame-
It took me a long time to finally understand why I felt the way I did, and what specific things about this niche appealed to me.
The thing that has helped me the most with the self-acceptance aspect is having a sense of community. Whether it be with just one person, or with a small group, having other people with similar interests that you can talk to and feel comfortable with helps a ton.
Around the same time last year was when I started to get more comfortable with this niche. I joined the server of an artist who's chonky art I really liked, and I got to meet new people and explore that part of myself more. But the best thing for me was finding out that one of my closest friends was also into the same things I was. It was just such a huge sense of relief when I found out, and once I started talking with her about it and sharing ideas back and forth, it became a lot easier to talk about, and it helped me get a lot more comfortable engaging with these interests of mine. A few months later, I found another one of my friends also liked this stuff, and then a few more months later, I found even MORE of my already close friends were into this
I guess the universe was just on my side, I'm so fortunate to have such kind and understanding friends that I can share this stuff with, and explore my interests with
Without them, this account wouldn't exist, and I wouldn't be making this kind of art that I share here, so I will always be grateful for that.
The best advice I can offer you is to find that sense of safety and community, whether it just be one person or several
Joining servers of artists who's work you enjoy is always a good way to meet new people, as well as interacting with artists you admire or other people in the community!
It's never easy to start, and don't get me wrong, I still do struggle with this stuff on and off, but I promise you it does get easier. Try to be kind to yourself
Think of it this way. It's SUPER normalized in society to be into like. Buff guys, or big boobies or butts or whatever, right?? Well being attracted to fat can also be seen that way if you really think about it-
Not saying that fat people should always be objectified in that way but I'm just trying to put that into perspective-
Hopefully that makes sense lol
Also, I am so glad to hear that you can find comfort and a sense of safety in this blog, because that's exactly my intention to have a safe space for people to explore their interests without fear of outside judgement

If I had a nickel for every time an artist I liked dyed a white streak in their hair after drawing Victor Vallakovich, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Due to shenanigans one of my PCs is playing Victor, and I HAVE to draw the party in fancy clothes for dinner at Ravenloft. If I draw him, will I also succumb to the Victor virus? I'm afraid. I can feel it happening already. It hurts...

i really can't say anything abt dante's nerf bc i barely played him and i do think the wf fandom has a habit of grossly overreacting about everything. sometimes nerfs are necessary and healthy and raging against every nerf that happens is stupid. that being said. the nerf has brought up a lot of genuinely important conversations about how wf's balance is really not in a good place right now and i hope the devs do actually approach that in a meaningful way at some point
#damage 3.0 completely gutted every damage combo that isn't viral/heat#the devs KNOW viral is too strong which is why they keep making enemies who are immune to it#but they're afraid of nerfing it because the backlash from the community would be immediate#corrosive being capped at 80% armor strip made it virtually useless for a lot of high-end content#content in which enemies are getting ever-higher amounts of armor that HAS to be stripped to keep your damage meaningfully high#and now that final 20% has been given back to us as emerald archon shards#a resource that the devs said wasn't intended to be 'necessary' for any build... but IS now necessary for 100% armor strip on most frames.#explosive weapons are basically dead#crowd control frames are basically dead#with ever-increasing numbers of enemies that are just immune to cc#the meta demands the use of frames as just weapon platforms & room-clearers#and dante gets a (bugged to hell) patch within A WEEK of releasing to nerf his 3 & 4#while other room-clearers like saryn (whom i love but c'mon) remain untouched???#idgi.#wfblogging

something something still writing my curse of strahd fic. having to find ways to make it more difficult since theyre coming in from being level 13 post game
#starting off with them all separated is a great start methinks#also might have it where being in strahds domain is temporarily inhibiting them a couple levels (that they get back if they defeat him)#like he subconsciously inhibits anyone to be more powerful than him past a certain level to keep them from usurping him#also for context i have a headcanon post game that they miss the telepathic connections the tadpole gave them post game#and they want a way to keep in contact if theyre far from each other or even on different planes#so they work to get a very powerful set of rings for all the origin characters that have rarys telepathic bond on them#that allow them to communicate telepathically no matter the distance or plane with anyone else wearing the ring#a little bit like the ward rings you can find in act 2 that let you ward with the other wearer no matter the distance#and so if theyre ever adventuring together and are separated they also use it to their advantage to communicate via telepathy on how to meet#depending on who's using the ring to communicate too they have a unique presence/feeling to whoever theyre reaching out to#for gale its electric because i can imagine the weave imbued in him and having a sort of sparky magical feel#for astarion every function seems to slow and they get a bit more chill because of him being undead#etc etc sort of thing#and its grate because the cos book literally specifies about spells that allow message or communication and strahd being able to listen in#so im going to use that as a really good point of fear after a certain scene i have planned#that way to deter them from using the rings so they can get nerfed again#im seriously really excited for this#i have so many post game astarion/soleil adventuring fics planned based off official campaigns and even some of my own#and im so excited for all of them#i promise the strahd fic is not the only one already in the works its just that this is the one im more actively writing currently and have#the most written for at the moment

my problem with the most Long Lasting Impact ™ rn is unequivocally deciding on a college major (also paying for it but i supposed i can let myself pick it before i tear my hair out about that:/).
i think im going to go into education. and higher education with the endgoal of getting a PhD and being a college prof is my ultimate ideal but ik that's debt on debt on debt so i guess my problem is the subject. im really passionate abt art and art history, like im halfway through my first semester of art history and i actually really. really like it and can see myself in this field. but also i never shut up about politics I Was Built To Be A Political Theory Major. but what the fuck would i do with a political theory degree other than get myself shot in a bar. im gonna smoke about it i dunno
#im in my sr yr of hs rn and am almost totally done with credits. so their paying for me to take a semester of community college classes.#so i dont have any monetary commitment to staying in the art history program. i do have a 96 in the class as rn- pre final- tho. so.#god this is so weirdly painful to type like not to have an ego but i do consider myself a pretty smart person#god just nerfed me by giving me aspd. u cant go anywhere in life stay stagnant BITCH your intellect will do nothing more than give you#the self awareness to match gregor samsa.
